Ilhan Omar's DNA, Questions About Amy Acton Emerge, and Christina Applegate Reveals She NEVER Had MS, with Ruthless | Ep. 1422
1h 40m 1s
The Megyn Kelly Show examines two major political controversies: allegations of immigration fraud against Ilhan Omar, and the credibility of Ohio gubernatorial candidate Amy Acton. On Omar, the show details claims of DNA evidence proving she married her brother in 2009, citing a 2021 report with a 99.999999% likelihood of familial ties, which was later suppressed after a source was arrested for child trafficking. Federal investigators, including DHS, are now reviewing the case, with Omar’s sister cooperating after a raid. The segment draws comparisons to high-stakes intelligence operations, questioning the legitimacy of political oversight and the lack of due process. Turning to Ohio, the show criticizes Amy Acton’s campaign, highlighting unverified claims, emotional instability, and a lack of professional credibility. Multiple police reports document domestic disputes, emotional breakdowns, and a fabricated “lunge” incident at a campaign event with no physical violence. Critics argue that Acton, a self-described doctor with no clinical practice, lacks the emotional and professional stability required for a governor. The show suggests her story mimics the deceptive narrative of the character "Amy" in *Gone Girl*, implying manipulation of public sympathy. The political analysis also notes a broader crisis in Democratic candidate quality, with low voter enthusiasm and declining trust in party leadership, potentially weakening Democratic performance in upcoming elections. The segment ends with a call for greater scrutiny of candidates’ backgrounds and a warning against the normalization of unverified personal narratives in political campaigns.
Welcome to The Megyn Kelly Show, live on Sirius XM Channel 111 every weekday at noon east.
Hey everyone, I'm Megyn Kelly. Welcome to The Megyn Kelly Show and happy Tuesday.
We have a great show for you today, including a deep dive on the Ohio governor race that has become the talk of the internet today.
Do we have a serial fabulist about to become potentially governor of Ohio in her race against Vivek Ramaswamy?
We've learned some facts about Amy Acton and we will be bringing them to you shortly.
But first, another bombshell update in the investigation into Ilhan Omar.
The New York Post reporting yesterday that sources say federal investigators have DNA evidence that could prove Omar committed immigration fraud.
One source tells us,
The DNA evidence is related to the allegation that she married her brother, the brusband, back in 2009 to help him obtain a green card.
And now we are learning that apparently, according to Fox News, they did not obtain that DNA via dumpster diving or garbage diving, as News Nation reported on Friday.
But they may have had it for some time. We're not sure exactly when they get the DNA or how they got the DNA.
But they do have the DNA.
And people, she married her brother.
She has a brusband.
She married the first guy, Hersey, a couple of years before she married her brother.
It was only a ceremonial marriage.
Two years later, she married her brother, Ermey.
That's her last name, too, Ermey.
She's not even Ilhan Omar.
She's Ilhan Ermey.
She's been going by a different name, Omar, because that's the family that helped her get over here and claim refugee status, which never should have been granted.
Since she appears to be the daughter of a warlord, a man who served a warlord, a guy who's high up in his army.
In any event, then she married her brusband in 2009.
She said they separated two years later.
What a shock.
It didn't work out because he's her brother and also apparently gay.
He looks very gay.
Not confirmed, but it's very hard to be that fabulous and not be gay as a man.
Then she didn't divorce him until 2017.
And in the interim, she found.
Her next husband, the current guy.
So there's there's a lot about Ilhan Omar and they are going to be able to prove that she married the brusband.
And by the way, Miranda Devine of The New York Post reminded us that in 2021, she was about to go to press with a report that some Republican operative had managed to get the DNA of Ilhan Omar.
Ilhan Omar.
Ilhan Omar and her brusband.
And that there was a ninety nine point nine nine nine nine nine nine nine percent chance that they were blood relatives, that they were siblings.
And she was about to go to press with this.
And her source, the guy who had managed to get all the tests, was arrested by the Biden administration.
Now.
It does appear that he was a bad guy.
Apparently, this guy went on to be convicted of child sex trafficking and was allegedly.
Recruiting 15 and 16 year old girls and having sex with them.
That's known as rape, child rape.
In any event.
Not a good guy.
Doesn't undermine DNA.
And she had published this back in 2021.
But it magically went away after the Biden administration arrest arrested the source who apparently had used all these GOP donors to pay for the detection of DNA.
On at least in at least three countries.
We believe Omar here in the United States.
She said smoking a cigarette or picking up a cigarette butt of hers.
The brusband who by this point we believe was back over in the UK where he was raised.
And then possibly some other family member.
I don't know exactly how they did it, but they know this.
They have known about the brusband and there has been at least a third party trying to get DNA, actual DNA analysis on this for some time.
And the government has the DNA.
And this jig is almost up, my friends.
It is almost up.
Let's bring.
In the fellas from ruthless, see what their thoughts are.
Josh Holmes, Michael Duncan, John Ashbrook, and the man known as comfortably smug.

Fellas, welcome back.
Great to see you.
Good to see you, Megan.
Boy, it's a lot to digest there.
That's a lot.
What a tangled web we weave when we practice to deceive.
Every little girl, she dreams of weight of growing up one day and marrying her gay brother.
Holy.
Smokes.
I just can't even that family tree is just straight up telephone pole style and guys like where is Ilhan Omar and where is her sister?
The sister is she lives back in the U.K.
Now she has two sisters.
She has one.
We talked about this with our audience, which is a quick refresher.
She's got the sister, Sarah, who came over with her and her dad back in nineteen ninety five as refugees and then allegedly got citizen status in two thousand.
Big questions about whether that.
Actually, in fact, happened then.
She's got another sister older named Laila.
She's got the brother Ahmed and she's got another brother, I think, named Mohammed.
Those three stayed in the U.K.
And Laila appears to have raised Ahmed, a.k.a.
Ilhan's husband as her son.
There's all these social media posts where he's calling his sister mum and she's calling him my son.
So those three, we believe, stayed in the U.K., except for his brief sojourn over here when he married his sister and tried to get a green card when they asked him for more information about his marriage.
He said, never mind, I withdraw my application.
This is so fucked up.
This whole story is the most effed up, bizarre thing we've ever had.
Anyway, sister Sarah, who was with Ilhan when they came in nineteen ninety five and has been living here, eventually moved out of our country and I think was in Africa.
And now she's been here domestically on a book tour until this hit.
And now the reporting is that last week after the Monday raid on Ilhan's home.
And the location of a dozen others, we don't know who else got raided, but there were a dozen raids that the feds went to Sarah and she voluntarily spoke with the feds.
So she is cooperating, but missing because she was supposed to have a book event last week.
And guys, no one was there, including Sarah.
She had to cancel, quote, for a family emergency.
I should say so.
And no one's seen Ilhan.
And that is where we are.
This would definitely on this Monday.
Definitely qualifies as a extremely high emergency in the family.
What is the what is the book?
Is it like four weddings and a visa?
How we got in and you can't do how to guide step by step about her immigration journey.
You're making that up.
It's got some flowery name.
No, no.
It's about her immigration journey.
I'm thinking she omitted a few key facts.
I don't think this immigration journey deserves to be in a book.
I think it deserves an episode of Jerry Springer.
Yeah, you're you are not the brother or mother or whatever.
Yeah, there's a lot.
I mean, look, I think you cut through the all of this.
And it's like the end of the day, she's a member of Congress.
That's the thing.
Crying out loud.
I mean, this is a yes.
If this is just somebody who lives in your community, it's an outrage.
This is somebody who represents hundreds of thousands of people in North.
Minneapolis.
And I mean, this whole whole situation, every part of it is so odd and unbelievable.
Like, I don't know if you guys remember it was in that movie, Zero Dark Thirty, and it actually happened in real life when they were hunting down Bin Laden.
You know, they thought that this compound in Abbott Abad might be where the Bin Laden family is hiding out.
And the CIA, under the guise of like giving like polio vaccinations, mouth drops, was trying to collect the DNA of the kids.
And like, they got foiled because, like, you know, the caretakers were like, oh, no, no, take the kids away.
This could be like a trap or something.
Why is it that we're having to do like Bin Laden CIA level attempts to collect DNA from a member of Congress who we don't know if they're a U.S. citizen or illegally married their brother to also fraudulently bring him here and is the daughter of a warlord who possibly committed war crimes?
Like, how is this a member of Congress?
Because, like, I would understand if this was.
Also, if she's like some gun runner, right, like if she's along the we think she's along the border of Eritrea and, you know, it's like a.
no man's land and she's got machine guns and in an army but this is a member of congress they've
got congressional offices if it's being this difficult to locate a member of congress what
are we even doing this is unbelievable it's so true and what how is there no check your papers
before you get sworn in at the u.s congress situation you know like before you do anything
you got to show papers if you lose your passport you want to travel to the bahamas you got to bring
your birth certificate if you go to register to vote you got to prove with all your ids i was
buying a six pack of beer for this event we had recently at the grocery store and they were like
we want to see your id i'm like let's not be ridiculous so young i would have asked for the
same thing i would have too no everyone knows i'm well over 21 but my point is simply you cannot
turn around and say i'm well over 21 you can't turn around and say i'm well over 21 you can't
turn around and say i'm well over 21 you can't turn around and say i'm well over 21
you can't turn around and say i'm well over 21
you can't turn around and say i'm well over 21
committed acts of fraud herself. You find all those things out. The process of
removing her will not be a consensus opinion you looked at like governor walls or these minnesota
state representatives who their first statement out when they raided her home is like look what
the trump administration is doing the trump administration punishing his political enemies
first of all she doesn't even come close to qualifying as a political enemy she's basically a
worthless backbench house of representatives member but the point is is that their initial
reaction is not like oh my gosh we've been duped by this somalian who has been running and winning
congressional races right and nobody's saying that you can't have a different democrat of course
they're gonna vote for a demo there are thousands of democrats in that district who could be in
they're all democrats they're all democrats of course how about one who's they're all gonna win
right of course we know that seat is going blue they're really not putting forward their best
you got the one who
is married to her brother you got the one up in may maine who's stooping his cousin and yeah it's
it's really not their best year and yet they're you know ahead on the generic ballot by over eight
points but wait i wanted to say something about um ilan so here's what's interesting so the sister
spoke voluntarily to the feds and ilan omar is going to have a tough time not speaking voluntarily
to the feds or involuntarily but at some point they're going to get an interview with ilan omar
and let me give you an example of some of the
tough questions that are going to be asked in 2009 you married ahmed
ermy is that your brother no elmi is that your brother no um did you consummate the marriage
why not where were the children from that marriage um is seriously she's gonna have to answer these
questions under oath we all know there was no consummation because i don't think she's that
i think this you know i believe she committed immigration fraud i don't think she's incestual
but what the hell do i know i mean we'll find out when she's under oath with the feds guys
because like she can't keep this this farce going for much longer and and by the way here's
another really important question why in 2001 i get back to the man miranda divine report
why in 2001 when it was in the news that there was a dna test result that showed there was a 99
point nine nine nine nine nine nine nine eight percent chance that ilan omar and her second
husband ahmed elmi were siblings didn't the fbi follow up why didn't they follow up and
miranda asked that saying quote why didn't the fbi do its own dna tests and clear up the cloud
hanging over omar's head and her position is biden's fbi was protecting its own they didn't
want they weren't they weren't interested in getting to the bottom of this and now they're
the day because trump got in there you notice it's not the fbi that's taking the lead as the
investigative body on this it's homeland security investigations which is kind of like the fbi only
under dhs and they're the ones who raided her home and now they will get to the bottom of what
the story is and at some point she's going to have to sit and under oath answer questions like
was the marriage consummated walk us through it i think we'll get video of that deposition i feel
like yes i feel like that would be a good
one to have out there just you know for table talk i mean she can just plead the fifth through
all this can't she i i i guarantee the dems are going to turn this into a sympathetic thing like
i already saw brock i think it was brock obama who's who's tweeting like this is a scary day
for america where the president of the united states is attacking his political enemies like
we're talking about that's how far they've gone they're like like barack obama is coming out here
and being like no this is totally okay this is above board what i was saying is that my worry is
i don't know if you recall when um
minneapolis was having their primary and there was that somali guy running against jacob fray
and ilhan omar yes with the teeth and ilhan omar refused to endorse that somali guy because he
comes from a rival clan like what if ilhan is the moderate option here what if the next guy that
they said from minneapolis is the like hardcore pirate guy who's killed like a bunch of people
oh god it's not out of the realm of possibilities with the teeth by the way the the name the name of
the um memoir is of the sister salt in the snow a somali immigrant story ah how did you how do we
miss that i got it well the good people of minnesota are experiencing the somali immigrant
story each and every day as their high schools are terrorized by gang gunfire so i think i got
the upshot on that book yeah it's pretty clear now um we have got to get to what's happening
happening in ohio i'm going to take a quick break before we do that quick break back with
the throwdown between vivek ramaswamy and his opponent amy acton who i've got to tell you
is looking more and more to me like amazing amy from gone girl i don't believe one word

we are back with the fellas from the ruthless variety program all right guys well uh vivek
ramaswamy is in the news today and his campaign to become ohio governor against a democrat named
amy acton um here's what happened this morning we woke up to an ad we believe it was put out
by a super PAC it was not put out by vivek ramaswamy or his campaign and it was an
extraordinary ad it is an extraordinary ad in it is democrat candidate amy acton's mother
attacking her daughter this candidate for ohio governor watch it name is donna arthur and i'm
amy acton's mother i worked at children and family service association building one of the first two
sexual abuse programs in america i love my daughter but when i saw her lying about her
past i thought she was a liar and it's not easy for a mother to say this but amy has a serious
problem she is a liar she lies about her past she says she grew up living in a tent none of that is
true she's lied her entire life my daughter needs help and she can't help you if she needs help
herself people can change but first they have to tell the truth and my daughter still isn't doing
that don't vote for people who lie don't let her become your governor if you think she'll make your
life better you're fooling yourself it will only get worse who made that ad where's that from
unbelievable tough it's we don't know who who put the ad out actually i mean i'm not familiar
with the super PAC but it looks like a super PAC i know it's not associated with vivek and
it didn't come from his campaign but i've never seen anything like it i've never seen somebody's
mother taking to the cameras to say my daughter is a liar she's been a liar for a long time
don't believe her and do not elect her to this office i mean it's jaw-dropping um well then
shortly after that happened amy acton's brother came out and issued a statement that reads as
follows today dr amy acton's brother philip stearns released the following statement
and they blame it on vivek ramaswamy um but again
he didn't put it out it's not surprising that vivek has stooped to such a despicable low as to
attempt to turn the sexual abuse amy endured at 12 years old from our birth mother's husband
into a political talking point after he was arrested and amy and i were removed from their
custody our birth mother stayed married to amy's rapist until he died this desperate disgusting attack
exactly who vivek ramaswamy is at his core a pathetic excuse for a man who is willing to hurt
anyone as long as it gets him what he wants so they're basically saying this woman was married
to amy's alleged abuser when amy was 12 and that's why she can't stand her daughter and that
the daughter amy and her brother were removed from the home as a result of this
allegation and he points out that the alleged rapist who was not amy's father but a man
that the mother was living with was arrested well we went back look forward to an update from the
acting
campaign if we are wrong, but we were unable to find any record of conviction in connection with
this case. We continue to dig to find out what happened in connection with these allegations.
What we do have is the word of the brother that an allegation was made, and it sounds like based
on that allegation, at least an arrest took place. That is not case closed. That is an allegation
that led to an arrest. We'll look for the other half of the story as the week goes on, but we are
told initially that there's no record of this man's conviction. And indeed, the complaint itself
seems to allege that the mother went on living with him until he died. The question is, was there
any stint in which he was in prison for this crime? Our belief is that the answer is no. Again, we'll
reach out to the acting campaign for a direct statement. My problem, and by the way, now the
left is melting down about the mother's ad. Melting down. He's attacking an abused survivor, using the
mother who was complicit in poor Amy's abuse to attack her. And look, I don't know whether she's
an abused survivor or not, but two things. Number one, this is not the first time that this has
happened. We found that in an earlier statement, in an earlier campaign, I'm sorry, in 2020,
that her mother came forward and made these same comments. She cast doubt not only on her
daughter's so-called origin story, rising from poverty, living in a tent, overcoming abuse,
but on her fitness to serve. The mother came out back then, in June of 2020, to say,
don't believe her. Okay, so this is not the first time the mother has tried to make a thing
out of the daughter's alleged sketchy history. Let's put what happened when she was a child
to the side. I want to talk about what we've seen from this Amy Acton in this campaign,
you guys, because I've been watching this one just because I loosely know Vivek and I'm interested in
how it turns out. And what I've seen is a woman who will not allow cameras at any of her campaign
events. What candidate doesn't allow cameras at your campaign event? A woman who has refused
steadily to debate him. And Vivek is a very talented debater. I've been on the stage questioning him.
Lots of tricks up his sleeve and he's rhetorically smart. And it's tough to debate Vivek. And I'm
obviously she didn't want to do it. She says she's a doctor, but she never actually treated
patients. So she seems to be the kind of doctor that El-Sayed is out in Michigan,
or perhaps the kind of attorney that Katie Zakaria is, which is non-practicing and only
may have achieved an academic label. And no one who she's worked for has endorsed her.
She worked for the Ohio governor, Mike DeWine. She couldn't make it through the COVID pandemic.
She resigned during the middle of that, apparently like unable to handle the stress of it,
though she claimed she objected to the way he was handling it. The former doctors with whom
she worked, like the Medical Society in Ohio, endorsed Vivek, not her. And then we get to
the alleged lunging incident that happened not long ago. Amy Acton claimed
that some very dangerous man confronted her at a campaign event. And since she's got her
no cameras rule and she doesn't let people hold up their iPhones filming her, we don't have video
of the actual moment that the man appeared. We only have her reaction and the reaction of people
around her. But she and her campaign painted this as though this was like the Salman Rushdie
event where somebody rushed the stage and she was in grave danger. And by the way,
he was blinded by his attacker. And finally,
video emerged of the incident showing it was like a brief, whoa, what happened there?
But that is not how Amy painted it. OK, Amy wanted us to believe that some crazed maniac
had lunged at her, that this was an attack in which she was quite in danger and that
she wanted felony charges brought against this guy. And I'm going to show you the video in one
second. But here's the here's what happened. She said that it
made national news. You know, Vivek was asked, put out a statement. He put out a statement saying,
I condemn violence. You know, I don't I'm not in favor of something like this.
And then the story started to unravel, guys, because the local police department came out
and said she's ghosted us like she's her. She and her campaign have ghosted us. We can't get
the information that we need to find out what the hell happened here. And then the campaign
said, oh, that's not true. Well, then the prosecutor came out and said,
I hate to break it to you, but there's no felony here. At best, we're looking at misdemeanors
for what this guy did. And here is the prosecutor on camera.
The information we've received is that the act in camp requested individuals stop recording
shortly before this incident occurred. So at this point, the only video we have is the defendants.
And what's that showing certainly doesn't support filing felony charges.
What does that video show? It shows him walking into the
tent recording and moving forward, calling out her name and the state patrol, then her security.
I shouldn't say the state patrol. Somebody in her security comes forward and then his phone is
either dropped or tousled. And that's all we have. There's never any close contact with the
governor. Never gets near her. I'm sorry. Candidate for governor.
OK, never gets near her. The woman was never in danger. The campaign statement had said,
while attending the Canfield Fair, an armed individual lunged at Dr. Acton,
injuring multiple people. Dr. Acton and Eric are grateful for the swift and decisive action of law
enforcement and are praying for the recovery of those injured. This kind of violence has no place
in Ohio. Dr. Acton will always stand up to the chaos, hate and vitriol that pits us against one
another, said her comms director. All right, here's the incident in which her life was potentially in
danger. Multiple people were injured. Dr. Acton was injured. Dr. Acton was injured. Dr. Acton was
allegedly injured. You hear the police later say she ghosted us on information and the prosecutor's
like, there's no felony here. I don't know what she's talking about. Here it is.
And we got a lot of work to do in 27.
Okay, that's it. For listening audience, he's nowhere near her. He's about 15 feet away from
her. Can we watch it again? Because it's the elderly couple in blue that were allegedly
injured. Injured multiple people, according to the campaign. Let's watch.
Dr. Acton.
I'm sorry. Everyone looks fine. This is the big incident
that resulted in only misdemeanor charges, not a felony. And did that prosecutor seem
overly concerned to you? She didn't to me. Last but not least, you guys,
this does not seem like a stable person to me. Okay. There are reports of her repeatedly crying
while on the job. Like,
the people who had worked with her in Ohio basically are painting her as an emotionally
fragile person who would not be able to handle the pressures of the governor's house.
And here's the other piece of this. Not once, but twice, police have responded to her home
for 911 calls. This is via NBC News in 2019. In August of 2019, police in Bexley, Ohio responded
to a report.
This is a report of a domestic dispute at her home. She was then the director of the
state's Department of Health. And she pulled a mirror off of a wall, shattering the glass
when she became upset, those are in quotes, because she felt her husband, quote, was antagonizing
her, according to a police report. She told officers she had been drinking, she had taken
an unknown amount of prescription drugs, and was about to drive away in her car before
her husband, who also told police he'd been drinking, talked her out of it. A medic dispatched
to check on her, recommended that she go to the hospital, but she refused. Police determined
that there was no evidence of physical violence between the two of them, only a verbal argument
over her extended work hours, etc. Her campaign later disputed and sought to clarify several
elements of the police report, that they'd returned home from dinner, she had one drink.
During a verbal disagreement, they said, regarding her long work hours, she bumped into a wall
hanging, which fell, okay? Unlike what the cops said, which was,
she pulled a mirror off the wall and shattered the glass because she was upset, she felt she was
being antagonized. She bumped into a wall hanging, which fell, she then went to bed and was asleep
when the police arrived, they claimed. They disputed there was any reason for her to go to
a hospital, asserting that any harm would have been noted in the police report, okay? The police
did not respond to a request for comment. Not just that, but in 2013, there was yet another incident,
Listen to me.
to this via Ohio News. Police responded to the Bexley home of Democrat gubernatorial candidate
Amy Acton more than a decade ago after her teenage daughter called authorities worried that her
parents, quote, were going to get into some type of altercation. According to a report obtained by
Ohio News at 1220 a.m. on June 16th, 2013, Bexley police were dispatched to a home on Pleasant Ridge
regarding a domestic disturbance. According to a police report, Acton's 16-year-old daughter
returned home from a party intoxicated. Acton notified the girl's father, her ex-husband Douglas
Beach, who later arrived. The daughter apparently did not like this, this is in quotes from the
police report, thought her parents were going to get into some type of altercation, end quote.
Both parents said they were fine, that there was no altercation. They'd been married, he's a psychiatrist
from 1989 until their divorce in 2008, and her campaign did not immediately respond. So here you
have what looks to me like an unstable person who's repeatedly unable to practice emotional
regulation to the point where the police are called. How many times has the policeman called
your house? Literally, ever. Virtually everybody in America would answer zero times. This person
wants to be governor, not once, but twice. Now she has the fake felony at her campaign event,
which is not fucking real. Some guy did some sort of a lunge. There's zero proof he was trying to
hurt her.
He got nowhere near her, but she played it up like it was the Salman Rushdie thing,
like I said. And on top of that, we've got her, you know, is she or is she not ever a practicing
physician? Why doesn't anybody who worked with her actually stand behind her? And oh, by the way,
there's this, the lies and hysteria around COVID. Watch.
I want you to be afraid. I am not afraid. The fact that this is our one shot in this country.
All of us are going to have to sacrifice. You're heroic when you stay at home and watch your
neighbor who's a nurse's child. Everyone is being heroic right now. The biggest thing we have to fear
is just that, fear itself. And so learn everything you can about coronavirus. And I want you to know
it doesn't discriminate, even though the virus started in China. Viruses don't know people as
we're seeing as it spreads around the world. It really thinks all of us are fair game.
So she doesn't sound like someone who takes an unknown amount of prescription medication.
Right. Hello. Right. Can I give you one more? This is September of 2025. Watch.
Well, you were the first to shut down the schools, right?
We. Well.
We were the very first to take action following George W. Bush's pandemic playbook,
the one that had gone from president to president. Because pandemic, not only did we lose more people
than all wars combined, it's actually a grave security risk. As you know, the economy completely
crashed before a single order was written. But in those early days, the mortality rate was 50%.
Oh, my God. Yeah. 50%. That's a lie. This is an hysteric, you guys. This is an
hysteric. And I'm just going to give you one other thing from the Washington Examiner
that reported the following on her, saying, a career civil servant whose time in state
government has spanned Republican and Democratic administrations allegedly observed Acton
constantly crying on the job, including outside of the daily broadcasts as they passed in the
hallways. Quote, every time I saw her in the hall, she was either crying in tears or on the verge
of crying or looking like she'd just gotten done crying, said the longtime civil surgeon.
She always had that look on her face that she had on TV. You saw with the tears,
a different former admin staffer claimed they found her huddled knees to chest on the hallway
floor before one of the daily planning meetings and that she had to be coaxed out of a fetal-like
position. Quote, hey, we need you to go into the room now, the staffer remembered rallying her
out of the self-soothing state. We got to go. The source said that Acton,
who had allegedly isolated herself from the others, slowly made her way to the meeting
room after the gentle nudge. It was a super intense time. I think we were all
stressed, but the ex-staffer added, we got to get our shit together. We had things to do. We don't
have time to just sit here and do whatever the hell you're doing. One other, an ex-staffer said
two months into her tenure, Acton was discovered in the middle of the 2019 budget cycle, having a
full-blown nervous breakdown in the bathroom before she had to present the department's fiscal
proposal before the state legislature. Her testimony was already written. The budget proposal
refined. All she had to do was deliver it. Quote, I can't do this. I can't do this. I can't do this.
This, Acton allegedly said while crying in the bathroom, according to the ex-staffer,
who expressed that they thought reading aloud prepared remarks would be an easy task for the
department director. Quote, she was in there having a total meltdown and had to be kind of
whipped back into presentable mode to get back out there. Then there's more about her mood swings,
how angry she was, passive aggressive. This is not a well person, and she should be
nowhere near the governor's house in the state of Ohio.
Right, Megan. And there are an awful lot of Democrats in the state of Ohio who are capable
of being governor. They didn't nominate one of those people for their party. They nominated the
woman who was in charge in Ohio during COVID. And you mentioned this a few times, but the number of
businesses she shut down is often glossed over. I mean, when you shut down businesses, you shut
down people's livelihoods. Of course, they're upset. And if she wants to say she's a doctor,
then to these businesses, she's Dr. Kevorkian, because what she did,
to these people in the state of Ohio, is unforgivable. They haven't forgotten it.
And she is afraid of her own record. That's why she won't talk. Of course, she sounds absolutely
neurotic. But the reality is, she cannot talk to people because of what she did to them.
So Democrats are going to their old playbook. Remember what Joe Biden did during the 2020
campaign? He campaigned from his basement. Few cameras, everything was cooked up and
engineered, every public interaction engineered.
That's exactly what they're doing with her, because it's their only choice as Democrats.
I mean, to me, I think the victim in all of this is the daughter. So she's at home,
the mom is bumping into mirrors or throwing them off the wall in the fetal position after having a
bunch of pills and some drinks. And then dad drives up and he's a psychiatrist. So you know,
he's going to get started on that shit. So the kid's trying to have a couple of beers to loosen
up. To have to deal with this crazy ass house. Honestly, I would have been more scared of COVID
if I had to watch Amy Acton. Oh, terrified.
Television telling me she was in control of the situation, right? One syllable out of her mouth,
and I've been like, that's it. But we're putting plastic wrap around the house.
Let me tell you something. I don't believe a word she says. I don't believe anything.
The mother says she's a liar. And now the mothers and the people be at the super PAC behind that
opening ad are getting shit rained down on them because they're saying, oh, she's an abuse
survivor. I don't know whether she is or she isn't. I don't know. I don't believe anything
this woman says.
I don't believe that she got, her life was in danger or she had this felonious lunge happen
at a campaign event. I think she played it up, looking for sympathy. I don't believe she could
handle the duties as a health administrator for the state of Ohio. And I do believe that she was
under the desk crying, as outlined in the Washington Examiner piece. And all I can think
is I listened to this woman tell story after story about her poor life, which the mother is saying
her destitution derby backstory is a lie too, is about another Amy.
Another amazing Amy featured in the film Gone Girl, which, spoiler alert, you watch thinking Amy
is the victim at every turn. And you find out at the end something very different about Amy. Watch.
To fake a convincing murder, you have to have discipline.
You befriend a local idiot.

Amazing Amy of Gone Girl. All I know is there a lot more digging needs to be done by the good
people of Ohio before they ever cast a vote for this woman as their new executive. Standby,
more to come. Quick break. More with the fellas right after this.
I'm Amy of Gone Girl. I'll see you next time.

We're back with Josh Holmes, Comfortably Smug, Michael Duncan, and John Ashbrook of
The Ruthless Podcast. Two things I want to make clear. Again, we don't know what happened after
that one reporter on Capitol Hill is alleging he couldn't find a record of charges against Amy
Acton's. Stepdad, the guy who was married to her mom. We, our information is he was arrested. There were
charges. We just haven't been able to find any proof of a conviction or that there was a trial
or that there was a plea or anything at all. And we look forward to following up on that with the
Acton campaign. Secondly, the first hour I said El-Sayed's sister was on the terror watch list.
It was his sister-in-law.
His sister-in-law.
It was his wife's sister. Okay. So just to clarify those two points. All right, let's keep going.
Let's talk politics, guys, because we are now a couple weeks out from these midterm elections.
And as I mentioned last hour, the generic ballot has the Democrats up between eight and nine
points. If that, you know, the last time that happened, I think was 20, what, 18. And it was,
I think, a decisive victory. Like, the Republicans, when they just won the, barely won the control of
the House in 2022, I think they had a three-point congressional generic ballot advantage. So this
would not bode particularly well, if you believe in the generic ballot magic, for Republicans.
However, Republicans, unlike Democrats, tend to have hidden vote that doesn't register in the polls.
Not always, but they do.
More so than Democrats, because a lot of GOP-ers just don't talk to pollsters.
And it's been frustrating for a lot of pollsters to try to truly gauge
what Republican voters are getting ready to do.
The ad that was just unleashed, my pal Mark Halperin's two-way show, tells me that this
is airing nationally, that it might have been airing during NFL Sunday football,
speaks to sort of not one candidate, but like generic Republicans at home who are planning,
I'm sitting on the couch, because they're just kind of grossed out by both parties.
They don't want to vote for a Democrat, but they're pissed off at Trump
and feckless Republicans in Congress. And this is that ad.
Michael is a normal guy. He loves a tailgate, and he kind of hates politics.
He was ready to skip voting this year, but he remembered Democrats are crazier than his ex.
They care more about their pronouns than his paycheck and push record high inflation,
and benefits for illegals. But with Republicans, he's making more.
Companies are adding American jobs and the border is closed.
Michael won't quit on his team or his country. It's that simple. Vote Republican.
I like that one. What do you guys think?
Yeah, pretty simple to the point. And it does underscore the challenge that
Republicans have going into this. It's not an abnormal phenomenon. Anytime there is a
party in power, whether they're Republican or Democrat, we have roughly 150 years of data,
suggesting that the party out of power does quite well in those midterms. And that's reflected by
where that generic ballot is right now. But I think you've got a couple of things going that
are sort of unique. One is in the Trump era in particular, we've had a really difficult time
turning out those low propensity Republican voters in midterm elections. It's happened in 18.
It happened in 22. Obviously, he wasn't in the White House at the time. But the same midterm
dynamic exists in that you traded out this suburban,
urban voter base that Republicans had for years that voted somewhere in the neighborhood of like
78% in the midterms for an ex-urban and rural voter base that turns out somewhere in the
neighborhood of 57, 58%. I mean, you're talking about a 20-point delta there. And the great
mission where you've heard MAGA Inc., the president, and James Blair and Chris LaCivita talk
about is, can you reduce that gap? And can you turn out those low propensity voters in any real
numbers to mitigate losses? But the other thing that I think is really important is that you've
got to be able to do that. And I think that's the key thing that you've got going on, is that typically, party out of power becomes more popular, because the party in power becomes less popular. That has not happened for a variety of reasons, the first of which is Democrats have nominated a bunch of insane people that we've covered on the top of this program. But it's all across House, Senate governorships. I mean, these people are bona fide lunatics. And there's been no brand lift for Democrats whatsoever. And so, whereas people might be interested in either sitting at home or sitting at home, they're going to be interested in being a part of the party. And so, I think that's the key thing that you've got going on.
And so, whereas people might be interested in either sitting at home or sitting at home or taking a look at something other than their incumbent Republican, they're not necessarily gravitating towards Democrats in the way that you've seen those big wave elections in 18 or 06. Republicans had one in 14. So, there's a little bit of a mixed bag in there.
The problem for the Democrats, if any, this cycle, because I think in general, you'd rather be in their position, is kind of similar to what the Republicans are dealing with. The Republicans have the
problem of Trump and whether his policies are popular. And the tariffs haven't been so popular. The Iran war is definitely not popular. These high gas prices are not popular. And Trump's performance on the economy has approval ratings in the 20s now, in the 20s. So, that's the GOP side. But the Dem side is candidate quality, too. And I have to say, like, I'm interested in the El Sayed thing, because I think the reason this guy has risen to prominence in Michigan is people are fed up with their
They are mad about the Iran war. Michiganders, too. They are mad about how close we are to Israel. And they want some separation there. And he's been making that a very big issue. And Mike Rogers is much more neoconny and more of the same if you want the close alliance with Israel. And why are we going to get into fighting their battles and so on? And so, I know these people. I have dear friends in Michigan who are Democrats and then independents. And they are saying that
they don't really care. Like, these things about the Muslim Brotherhood, they don't care. Because what they're worried about is getting in yet another Middle East war, thanks to our alliance with Israel, not thanks to anything El Sayed might do. But I see the GOP trying to do the same stuff that they've always done. And that is served up very successfully on cable news, you know, five nights of the week. And that is to play up those Muslim Brotherhood ties. And in El Sayed's case, they're really
real. Like, not him personally, but his, we just talked about the sister-in-law, who was on a terror watch list, did successfully petition to get taken off of it. So there's that.
It's a little close to home. Yeah.
That's a win. Okay. But then there's his actual sister. She's his half-sister. And she's got issues, too, like tweets about the Muslim Brotherhood. And then his mother had some
sort of affiliation that he's, he tried to disavow, though not very successfully. And here was El Sayed admitting to the sister-in-law being on the terrorist watch list just the other day. This is SOT 21.
There's reporting in a lawsuit that now backs it up and documentation with the lawsuit that Miriam Jakaku, who's your sister-in-law, that she was on the terrorist watch list. What's your response?
Basically, it's exactly the point. She did nothing wrong and was captured on that and then sued and got off.
So the idea that you can be placed on something like that because of exactly the infrastructure that Mike Rogers and his flog cram camera and his Patriot Act and his surveillance state can do is exactly the point. So she sued and what happened afterwards? You know what happened, right?
No. She was removed. Okay.
Yeah. So she won the lawsuit. You know who else was put on there? A child. A child. Simply for a name. So that's exactly the point. So I appreciate you bringing that to light because it's exactly the point. You've got this system where folks are guilty until proven innocent because they've got different kinds of names.
Okay. Fair point that she was just on the list and it was a mistake. And this is basically Islamophobia, a term that is made up. Like, honestly, if you have objections to the principles of Islam, it doesn't make you Islamophobic. It makes you a good student because there are serious problems with the foundation of that religion, which get enacted on little girls and their genitals.
All the time around the world, at least in radical Islam. So your thoughts?
played the danger of their rise in Egypt
and said it's not going to be anything like Iran.
I mean, I'm sure that you saw the exchange he had with the reporter last week where the reporter is like pressing him on his family ties, the Muslim Brotherhood.
And he's acting like, oh, I grew up here.
You know, I don't know anything about the Muslim Brotherhood.
That's not exactly the case.
I mean, I can't remember the last time I wrote an op ed about Egyptian politics and how the Muslim Brotherhood is not going to be as bad as you think.
So he's he's playing a little.
To be clear, we haven't written articles about the Muslim Brotherhood in Egypt.
We have not had brothers or sisters on the terror watch list who had to petition to be removed.
And we have not had the police come repeatedly to our home in response to 9-1-1 calls about us being out of control, angry, fighting and breaking shit.
Are we clear?
Fair.
I think it's also worth clarifying that the Muslim Brotherhood, despite its name, is not like a social club.
Megan, this is a violent and radical.
Reactionary movement, a Islamist movement in the Middle East that dethroned the secular pan Arabs after the six day war in Israel.
The Muslims were very mad that they lost to this new state of Israel.
And so all of these Islamist groups, including the Muslim Brotherhood, Egyptian Jihad, Islamic Jihad, took over Egypt.
Anwar Sadat gets assassinated.
Nasser.
I mean, like they were targeting Nasser before then.
This has been.
This has been a violent extremist group in in in Egypt for a very long time.
Side cut of the and beyond side cut of the intellectual godfather of radical Islamic terrorism was one of the foremost thinkers in the Muslim Brotherhood.
Egyptian Islamic Jihad.
Al-Zawahiri was one of the leaders of that group.
And you can very quickly go from side cut up to Al-Zawahiri to Osama bin Laden.
So, like, people actually needed to know, like, this isn't just a social.
This is the most extreme of the most extreme.
Yes, all that is true.
And yet.
And so maybe it's other than this article that Ashbrook is talking about.
I haven't seen a lot of ties by El-Sayed, but it seems like his whole family orbit has got some connection or another to this very radical group.
I don't contest that.
But here's what I'm asking.
Is it going to matter?
Because, you know, if you listen to the people who have objections to this Iran war, they will dismiss.
This line of argument as, OK, that's going to appeal to sort of the neocon boomer set that watches Fox.
But there is a very large contingent amongst younger Republicans that is sick of that shit.
Like they're they don't think the Muslim Brotherhood is the issue in this election.
I agree with you, Megan.
The issue is Israel.
I agree with you, Megan, that the Muslim Brotherhood is not enough because it and frankly, it's it it isn't the whole story.
Right. I mean, look at what's happening in France.
Right now, with all of these Muslim immigrants that France let into their country now leading all of these riots that are supposedly about school size.
Right. I mean, so like what I thought I think didn't the New York Times tell me that those were radical, right?
Yeah, I'm pretty sure that the mainstream media told me those are simple students.
So they're associated with radical Islamists.
OK, that doesn't move the needle in American politics.
But the reality is behind that, these are people that are just fundamentally hate Western civilization.
That's what it is.
Right. Not just Al-Sayed, the Chevalier woman who's a convert to Muslim.
Talk about the zeal of the convert, by the way, in that religion.
It's insane.
But that really is the larger story here is these people are neo-Marxists.
This is a reaction to colonialism 200 years ago, and they want to reassert power, Marxist power in the United States.
That's it. It has nothing to do with modern foreign policy.
It has everything to do with this gripping anti-Western point of view that has now been, what, hundreds of years in the making?
Wait, but Holmes, you don't really believe that the DSA candidates don't care about foreign policy.
This is their only issue.
It's their issue because they can grab onto arms length from Israel.
But this for them is their live and breathe like their whole existence is about demonizing.
A hundred percent.
But it is the current issue you can grab onto for this larger ideology, as Michael was explaining.
That has existed for a long period of time.
They have not always had the entree to make it a core tenet of the Democratic Party, which they have right now.
Now, I'll just say, like, yeah, well, ever since 10-7.
Yeah, I'll go back to just the breakdown of Michigan here for a second.
It is worth noting that Republicans have not won that state since the mid-90s and spent Abraham.
A Senate race.
They have not had a ton of luck.
I think that you could nominate a piece of Wonder Bread with a D toasted into the middle of it and win by 15 points in this particular cycle.
The fact that he is not tells me and the fact that that is really one of the last races off the board.
I mean, if you're looking at these super hyper competitive races in states that Trump had won, that is going to be one of the tightest of them all.
And I think that.
That is a perfect example of this rejection of folks like El Sayed, this unease with this many pieces of, you know, look, if it quacks like a duck and it walks like a duck, it's a duck.
This guy is a duck and he's telling you out loud, I am DSA.
I am a radical Islamist.
My whole family's ties to it.
Now, like 10 days or 20 days before an election, I'm going to try to pretend like you're just a racist for bringing all that stuff up.
And I think there's a.
There's a large number of people, including a ton of black voters in Wayne County out in Detroit.
They are not buying it.
They could have had.
Well, I'll meet you down by the river, Michiganders, and we'll go to the voting booth together.
We could have had her.
They said no in favor of El Sayed.
But, you know, query whether they created for themselves in Michigan, the Democrats, the same kind of problem the Republicans created for themselves in Texas, where they went with somebody.
Who is more sort of exotic and like controversial and like more of a, quote, fighter on like the core issues emerging in the party, but with less mass appeal and with, you know, in Paxton's case, Paxton's case, tons of scandal in El Sayed's case, just tons of sketchy things around him where you're like, what?
Wait, what?
So here's the other thing about Michigan.
So this Mike Rogers.
He lost already.
So he lost to the horrible Elissa Slotkin.
Right.
That's that's who she beat to get into office.
And she's hideous.
So why did the Republicans run him again?
That's one of my questions here.
She is.
Honestly, she's one of my least favorite people in the Senate, because, like, unlike Maisie Hirono, who knows she's dumb.
She's like, I can't believe I made it.
I made it.
Like, great.
I'm just going to ask my dumb questions because I guess there's a role for all of us here.
Elissa Slotkin thinks she's brilliant and she thinks she knows better than everyone.
Her questioning of Pete Hegseth at his confirmation hearing made me want to punch her fat face.
I don't believe in physical violence.
I never punched anybody.
Well, there was a fight in the middle school, but in any event.
So here's Elissa Slotkin popping back out just in time for Michiganders to make their decision.
And Elissa Slotkin wanted everyone to know this.
She spoke recently at the University of Chicago.
And, well, we can play 19 and 20.
Let's get into it one after the other.
We do have to have accountability for the unbelievable corruption that we are living under right now.
But you can't just make that your whole personality.
Right.
So you have to pick signature cases and you have to go after people and projects that are just super egregious.
So.
Everyone knows the east wing of the White House.
Right.
And people feel that in a way that's different from a nameless contract at the Pentagon or whatever.
So you need to pick those signature cases and go hard on accountability, not just Trump.
Right.
Because, of course, there will be moments of like, let's go after Trump himself as someone who voted to impeach him twice.
Like he's still there.
Right.
But the people around Donald Trump who are doing his bidding and enabling this have no such immunity.
They have no immunity the way the president does.
And to me, he couldn't do any of this stuff without all those people saluting and supporting it.
So you go after the people who did his bidding.
I want to look at these signature cases and not just focus on the president, but on the people who enabled him.
I want young people coming out of school to say, should I go work for the Trump administration?
Like, that sounds fun.
I might get an opportunity.
I want them to be like, Lord, that might be buying myself a ton of problems.
Right.
That I don't want.
And so let me avoid participating in that.
I want that deterrence message sent.
That's the worst thing I've ever heard.
She's evil and disgusting.
That's unbelievable.
Isn't it a horrible smug?
And she wants people to take it.
She's acting like, oh, I'm being taken out of context.
No, she delivered her message loud and clear.
And that's the system that the Democrats put in place that has been in place.
There's a reason why you don't have so many conservatives working in journalism.
It's essentially nonexistent for a conservative to be at the New York Times or at the Washington Post.
It's because they try to intimidate conservatives from being a part of the process whatsoever.
What she's saying is essentially so many young people saw President Trump get elected, and especially the work that Scott Cooper is doing at OPM with TechForce and recruiting young people to come into government and to make a difference and to bring that energy and to start your career off by giving back to your country in a way that you can serve and make this country better for everyone.
She wants to put a cloud of intimidation over them and make them scared for their livelihood, simply for taking a part in this process.
And so brazen enough that she did it on University of Chicago's campus. She's doing it to a room full of these kids. Ostensibly, some of them are conservatives who'd like to get involved in politics.
So to have the audacity to now be like, oh, well, I wasn't talking about intimidating young people. You pointed them out in the audience.
I'd like to press you.
Yeah, how about you? You look doe-eyed out there, dreaming of your future career as a government servant, where they make no money.
It's like, oh, great way to get like an influx of new great people who are not bought and paid for by threatening them all with criminal prosecution.
And by the way, Alyssa Slotkin has a background with the CIA. So F her, because that threat may feel very real coming from a former CIA agent and now U.S. senator to like some.
20 year old just about to get out of college. It's pathetic. It's disgusting.
I also noticed, Megan, she's got the Karen hand talk thing down so pat. It is just the most. Everything is this. And then we are focusing on these things. And then we're doing that thing. And we've got them all.
You know, I mean, everything she said there was punctuated with like a little line of the hand or some. I mean, it's unbelievable. Very hard to watch.
Yeah.
Yeah.
I mean, she really wanted attention.
We're going to spend more time on like her hair and makeup routine, frankly. She doesn't need to do all that shit with the hands. She's taking lessons from Gavin Newsom.
We're going to get the guilt by association of just sitting next to her while she says that.
Oh, you know I'm right. You know I am right. Please. Alyssa Slotkin. She's just I'm sorry to be nasty, but she's ugly on the inside. And that's the problem with her.
Like everything she does is truly hateful. And what I really can't stand about her is when she beat Mike Rogers again.
If you lose.
The party should really give a serious thought about running somebody for a second time. But anyway, when she beat him, it was a close race by saying, I, I get the Trump voters. I understand you. I have the same voters that he does the same year he won. I won. And, you know, like I like I get you. I feel it. And this is such a lie. Listen to the way she's talking. These these people believed it. They voted Democrat.
And now she's threatening to put their children in jail if they decide to go work for Trump.
That's the whole thing. It's the same thing as Abigail Spanberger is when you're in the general, you run like you're a moderate, like, oh, you know, I'm just a normal person. You can trust me. And then once you're there, once you're in power, you become a left wing lunatic and straight up threatening young people to ruin their lives is the most egregious thing. It's it's shocking for anyone in this country to say, but to come from a sitting senator is shameful. It's unbelievable.
So I don't know.
What what's going to happen? I mean, everybody wants to know what's going to happen in the Senate. What's going to happen in the House? What is the conventional wisdom on the program?
Johnny, you want to kick this one off and we'll go from there.
So starting with the House, Megan, it's going to be very, very difficult for Republicans to hold on to their majority. If you're looking for conventional wisdom, there's an expectation that Republicans are down maybe five to 10, 12 seats heading into next January.
It's a it's a very real possibility.
But one thing I'll point out is that Democrats are so divided internally that a small majority for their party in the House of Representatives does not equal their ability to have control over absolutely everything, because their number of DSA types who are going to be telling Hakeem Jeffries what to do is is so great that they will be very dysfunctional.
When you think about the Senate, I mean, it is a difficult situation for Republicans.
There is not there are not really very many states.
Republicans are on offense this cycle.
And so you could see a Senate coming back in January that's maybe 50 50.
I mean, you look at some of these races, I do think that in Ohio, John Husted seems to be on the rise over Sherrod Brown.
Talk about a guy who lost last time.
What he's expecting voters in Ohio to do is change their mind about him in just two years.
I think that John Husted can win in Ohio.
It looks like Ashley Henson in Iowa seems to be on the rise there.
She's got a polling lead.
It has for about a week now.
You look at a state like Texas, a very, very difficult state for Republicans.
You've talked about it a lot on your show.
And it is, you know, the demographics in that state have changed with all these people from California and elsewhere moving in and making it a little bluer.
But the thing is, there are two hundred million dollars have been spent defining James Tallarico to people who aren't as plugged in as we are or you are.
Megan, so that seems to be changing Tallarico's image and something that we always talk about on the show when you're watching polling.
What you need to look at is how information flow informs image and how image informs ballots.
So it's a three step process.
And when people say, oh, two hundred million dollars on TV, it seems like it's just money going down the tubes.
Now, there's there's a reason why that those investments are made because they actually can have an impact on a candidate.
And that's why it's so important to look at the candidate's image and the candidate's image has an impact on the ballot.
So what have we seen over the last month on James Tallarico?
His image has slowly degraded.
Is it going to be enough to impact the ballot to the point where Ken Paxton can actually beat him on Election Day?
We're all going to find out together, but it seems to be trending in the right direction.
Of course, very popular governor at the top of the ticket in Texas, Greg Abbott, has been very strong in that state.
He's very well liked.
So he's going to be pulling Paxton up a little bit himself.
He's also just just to compare and contrast with twenty eighteen that that first midterm of the Trump era when your sort of new Trump coalition midterm was at its lowest point of turnout.
Right. And, you know, Democrats obviously won a ton of House races.
Well, OK, well, now we've done redistricting and the map has really shrunk versus where it was in twenty eighteen.
And it's like, OK, well, in twenty eighteen, they still won a lot of seats.
Aren't you worried about the Senate?
Well, we actually won some really close races in twenty eighteen.
We picked up some Republican seats in the in the Senate, Missouri, Indiana, Missouri, Indiana.
Now, I mean, those are our redder places, but we're talking red places now.
Republicans still vote a Republican.
Yeah. And the polling would have you convinced that this is the same environment as twenty eighteen.
And, oh, we're going to lose Ohio.
We're going to lose Iowa. We're going to lose Alaska.
And that may very well may happen.
But in twenty eighteen, Rick Scott won a nail biter.
In in Florida and Florida is a lot more red now than it was in twenty eighteen.
And so, I mean, like there's a lot of countervailing things out there, I think, beyond the polls as they exist that at least give me some hope.
Yeah. The thing that I don't skate by, though, is typically if you're just on even footing, you're not writing off things like North Carolina and Georgia.
And those are all but gone. Right.
And I think that's where the disappointment begins for Republicans, as you look at what to anticipate in the first Tuesday of November.
And so I think that's where the disappointment begins, is that you had a couple of opportunities, one pick up and one hold that they're not legitimately competing in.
And so then you start looking at these other red states where Democrats have been playing offense and people have mentioned Kansas a lot.
I mean, look, I've been doing this for twenty years.
There's never once been an election in Kansas where in the last month people aren't just like setting things on fire.
Oh, my gosh, we're going to lose Kansas.
It was Pat Roberts.
It was Jerry Moran.
It was Dr. Marshall last time.
I mean, it just it's happened.
Almost every time.
I suspect we're going to win that one.
I think Nebraska is another one we're going to win.
You got that the funny business up in Alaska with putting the fake Dan Sullivan on the ballot because they have that ranked choice situation.
All indicators and that's a notoriously difficult place to get a handle on.
But all indicators at this point are the incumbent Senator Dan Sullivan, not douche Dan Sullivan, as we call him on the program, is is going to be OK in that election.
So if you cobble all that together, as Johnny said, I mean, if you hold Alaska and you're holding Iowa and you're holding Ohio and I think Susan Collins with the the cousin friendly Troy Jackson on the ballot.
Troy Jackson, cousin friendly.
I think that she continuously defies the odds and I like her chances right now.
I think it still means a Senate majority.
It may be 50 50.
And obviously this is not what you would want as a Republican looking into November.
But it may preserve majorities in the Senate.
Hey, Megan, I'm going to 50 gets it.
It does.
And I'll come back to something Josh was saying a little bit earlier about these low propensity Trump voters that need to turn out.
This is the thing that we always say on the show that you can't black pill in this situation.
You can't just read The New York Times and it says, oh, Republicans are going to lose.
And then it's over.
I guess we just just pack it in and we'll wait for two more years.
You you have to get out and vote.
People have to get out and vote.
And what?
MAGA Inc. and some of these guys who are close to the president have
developed is they think the secret sauce to turn these low propensity Trump voters out in a midterm
in a way that they haven't before. And you're seeing some of that with the president going
around, traveling to these states, doing the rallies, doing his bit where he's making jokes
and, you know, reminding people why they originally fell in love with him and reminding them that they
have to that they can determine the outcome of this race simply by showing up and voting. It is
it is one of the most important things for Republicans that they turn out these low
propensity Trump MAGA voters. And we'll, you know, I will say, OK, but let me let me ask you about
that, because our our pal Brahim, who I know we all love, he had some analysis on special report
last night that was less enthusiastic about the president's tour and messaging. Here it is.
Sometimes in the course of a campaign, Brad, you'll see a candidate or a
party that's trailing in the polls begin to catch some momentum. They hit on an issue
or an event turns public opinion in their favor. I haven't seen that yet. The president has been
out campaigning vigorously, but I'm not sure it's making any difference in what difference
it's make. I'm not sure it is helping. You look at that situation, for example, in Texas.
Now, he's calling James Tallarico, Tallarico. Now, look, it's true that James Tallarico is
endorsed some pretty exotic positions in his in his years in public life and that he is not on
paper, at least a very good fit for the state of Texas. However, what he does not seem to be is a
freak. You see him. He seems mild mannered. He seems pleasant. He's not an unattractive
candidate, whether you agree with him or not. So suggesting maybe the president's lost some
office fastball in getting out there in terms of just his popularity and the messaging.
Yes. So he always makes very good points. And I think that this guy has seen seen it all from
start to finish and been around a long time. But I also think that what President Trump is doing
is talking directly to his base. He's turning out his base. This is not a question of are you
going to change public opinion in the suburbs about the direction of the country? It's the
question is, what are you going to do with the time remaining and how are you going to spend it
and what's your message directed towards where you can have the biggest impact?
And I think that he's made the calculation here that where he can have the biggest impact over
the next couple of weeks is getting his particular voters energized to turn out and vote. And we're
going to find out whether it works. But I do think I do think there's a strategy. I got a question
for you in motivating the MAGA base. Is is this is this the kind of messaging that will do it?
Place that seven, please. He came up and he was talking very nicely. I stood right over here and I
examined his ass. I never did that. No, I never did that with a man before. I examined his ass and
then I looked at his shoulders. I looked at his feet. I looked at his hand. I looked at his jawline.
He's got a jawline. This is you would be very unfortunate if you picked a fight with him at a bar
someday. You want to give me that seat? No, I'm not going to give you the seat. But I then patted him on the shoulder
it was like a piece of steel. I sort of, I'm still recovering my hand. I was like,
and I explained it to the crowd. I said, this is unbelievable.
Megan, Megan, the president is right. He is obsessed with John Husted. The president is
right. As the kids would say, John Husted has a dump truck and he's going to use that dump truck
to deliver for Ohio. But I think it goes to the larger point that I think Ashbrook was making.
It's like Trump is a showman and the people are there for the Trump show. And if that gets them
to vote early, if it gets them to vote on election day, then that's a win. But ultimately,
at the end of the day, when you're the party in power, you can't let this be just a referendum
on the last two years of the Trump administration. You have to set the stakes of the choice in this
election. They're going to raise your taxes for those, you know, elderly people who are
getting no tax on social security. Let them know about that. Right. Or no tax,
on tips or no tax on overtime or the fact you secured the border and all those sorts of things
that can be done in concert with with what Trump is doing himself personally, if that makes sense.
Well, wait, here's here's another possibility. SOT 6.
So here in Kentucky's 4th District, we're going to send Ed Galrein to the U.S. House of
Representatives. And he's going to be he's going to be a perfect man.
Well, I needed somebody good. And this guy walks through the door.
I said, look at this beautiful guy. He shook my hands. He is.
He is.
He's getting interrupted by a protester here.
Take him back home to mom. Back home to mom.
The president knows beauty. He was you know, he did pageants forever.
That's true. He understands television and the art form is a visual medium.
And what I also notice is a lot of these protesters that are always standing up.
They always tend to be really ugly or fat or both.
Yeah. Yeah. Plenty of observations.
Why? Why are you giving me a hard time about Alyssa Slattery?
She's so comfortable discussing. Fair. Fair.
Fair.
The president in my in my estimation, the president is trying to charm his audience and you know, he's trying to make it worth their while.
They come out, they slog, they have to wait in line, they get there, they want some laughs.
They don't want like policy.
Let me rehabilitate my decisions on this, that or the other thing.
If they want to laugh, they want to have a good time.
They want to be reminded of why they fell in love with him to begin with.
And humor is a huge part of it.
So he's doing what he can to make them laugh and say things that he believes.
I mean, I'm sure he is very looks focused, very looks focused, and he does, I believe, think these guys are genuinely good looking and he respects that.
Ken Paxton gets a different kind of treatment.
Oh, gosh, he does, he does.
I'm not sure if that's helpful, but it probably is because he's kind of calling a spade a spade there and kind of putting it out out there like, look, he's not the best looking guy.
That's John Husted.
Yeah, it's the resonance, right?
I mean, what has resonated?
What has resonated with the typical MAGA base is not some policy presentation, and it's going to look a lot different than previous presidents of both parties when you're trying to animate people for a midterm election.
So, yeah, I mean, people are going to look at it and be like, well, all that's going to do is make the left furious.
Well, I got news for them.
The left's already furious.
Like, they're coming.
The question is whether our folks do, too.
And I think that's what this whole effort is about.
OK, stand by.
More to come.
Quick break.
Back with the fellas.
Right after this.

More information on the woman Amy Acton and this dispute that's going on over her past.
The Columbus Dispatch newspaper reported that her mother's partner, the one she accused of molesting her, left the state before a conviction could be had.
A warrant was issued for his arrest in October of 87.
And December of 81, according to court records.
But he died in 2004 in southern Pennsylvania.
And it does not look like they retrieved him from the state to which he fled, which was Pennsylvania, which is very strange.
This happened in Ohio.
He fled to Pennsylvania.
I don't know why they wouldn't have retrieved him if they thought he had committed child molestation.
But that's odd.
They also report over on the Huffington Post.
That separately, court and newspaper records show that this man was indicted for incest in 1974 before Acton's mother.
married him due to allegations he had raped his eldest daughter so this does not sound like a
great person and it is very possible she had a very difficult childhood in that family which may
explain some of her emotional difficulties as an adult as for whether you want that in your
governor's mansion that is up to the people of ohio but i would suggest she's had enough
emotional meltdowns involving the police and her ex-husband and her colleagues and had enough
questions raised about her behavior by independent co-workers forget anybody in her family that there
is serious reason to pause before elevating her to a position with the stress and responsibilities
of the governorship okay continuing on this is not political but it is interesting so when you
think about the disease of multiple sclerosis you think about a couple of people like
this the hollywood stars who have owned having this problem like i mean i think of janice dean
but others think of selma blair who's had you know some problems recently and christina
applegate is really the person i think most people at least famous people um associate with this
disease because she was one of the first to come out and say she had it it's been so debilitating
to her and you know we've seen her look in a wheelchair and with a cane and she holds the
whole podcast called messy which is based on m and s you know like with another gal who has it
well she had a bit of an announcement uh this week and here it was it's not 30. all of a sudden a few
years ago my doctor a couple you know just a couple years ago said i want to see something
i want to take you off of the infusion and i want to watch your b cells and
my b cells didn't change they didn't go higher they didn't go lower they didn't change and she
had never seen that so i guess that began kind of um a study into my diagnosis and um just recently
you're not going to freaking believe this just recently guys now listen to me this may come as
great news but to me it comes as like very like i'm back at square one but
whoo
whoo it's hard to say that she came into my room and she said um congratulations you don't have ms
congratulations i was like not happy at all because you don't get misdiagnosed and then
all of a sudden i'm better right i haven't gotten better jamie yeah if anything i've gotten
worse in some ways i became like this you know you and i the poster children
for ms and yeah all that i did for the you know everything that i was doing i mean i had
it's like i had a reason i had a fucking reason as to why my day sucked every day and now i don't
have a reason okay i cannot keep up you guys i'm sorry but like the woman who's made like every
public statement about health for the past several years all about her ms she's hosting an ms
podcast has now come out to tell us all she she doesn't actually have it this has all been a wild
goose chase she has no idea what she actually has and i just think this is like the problem
with celebrities like wanting to lean into their health problems and like now i will be the face of
ms and i'm sure there are a lot of ms sufferers out there who are like what and she's crying
because she doesn't have ms she's crying now because
i guess she no longer gets to be the face of this disease and now she says she's back to square one
she's made like a cottage industry of talking about her ms and by the way so is selma blair
who has like given tons of interviews about her ms i've got the ms let's talk about the ms
who then like casually shows up she was like on the cane could barely move she casually shows up
after her meltdown on the plane she's not on a cane she has a light limp but she seems like all
physical like i don't know what's going on here but to me it is directly related to the currency
that some women in particular find in having an affliction a disease or anything that will
garner sympathy for them for in the public eye like very few men do this but this is definitely
a thing for women and it's cultural it's societal your thought there's a reason why and i think this
is particularly for men is that if you're seen as sympathetic you're not going to be able to
like like that there's something wrong with you then women see that as incredibly unattractive
like a man is not someone who garners much sympathy from anyone in the world like just
look at statistics men commit suicide at a much higher rate men suffer from homelessness at a much
higher rate um men go off and they die in war uh men suffer from so many different conditions but
uh the message that we always see in the media is that like you know it's time to uplift the women
it's it's a woman's turn or like we it's it's it's the future is female um and specifically i think
what you may also be alluding to is that for many liberal white women uh if they want to be a a good
ally because there's like this kind of like hierarchy of where are you on the ladder of uh
are you uh by puck yeah they have to join the oppression olympics
this is their only vehicle to do if you're if you're on social media you scroll on instagram or
go on tiktok you'll see that there is a whole cottage industry of content farming around
mental illness physical ailments done by women to each other which is really really crazy i'm curious
megan uh because it wasn't in the clip my i mean my first thought if if i had a diagnosis of ms
right and and i'm in a wheelchair and all of this
and they tell me now i don't have ms what is putting her in the wheelchair what do these
doctors think is the reason have they said any of that or has she said any of that
she doesn't know that's one of her frustrations is now she feels like she's back to square one
because she like doesn't know what's wrong with her and she told um actually do we have this
here's christina abogate talking to gma's robin roberts in 2024 and listen to this
she credits her former co-star and
good friend selma blair for urging her to get tested for ms whatever happened to my cool
confident roommate it's a big facade blair was also diagnosed with a degenerative disease of
the central nervous system in 2018 she goes you need to be checked for ms i said no it's really
the odds the two of us from the same movie come on that's not gonna be that doesn't happen
she knew
i i just i feel like this whole thing is fraught like putting any stock into the hollywood crowd
and their alleged ailments because we we went back and looked at it and a few years ago christina
abogate had given a statement saying oh a few years ago my doctor uh said i just want to see
something i want to take you off of these infusions i want to watch your b cells and guess
what they didn't change yeah so we so this was in this exchange we just showed um i don't know guys
but i think there's two things that i think are important and i think there's two things that i
think are important and i think there's two things that i think are important and i think there's too much
emphasis placed on people's disorders you know what i mean like in the same way that every college
essay to get in has to be about how terrible your life was and all the terrible things that happened
to you and how you overcame them as opposed to i was raised a happy child with an intact family and
i was learned i was taught to love my country god and my parents right like that gets no purchase
down if you put that on paper yeah exactly and then the ultimate reveal of like
guess what all of that was bullshit i didn't i never had ms at all that's not going to be
everywhere you mark my words that that will not get the same kind of coverage that oh i've got
this terrible disease did you hear about this uh joe manganella story which was recently in the news
so he's the guy who was what was the name of the latina lady on modern
so this is this is what i'm talking about so he got diagnosed they doctors didn't know what he had
it was like his his body's immune system was trying to destroy itself he was getting like
his skin was splotchy he was losing weight eventually he's had his intestine removed from
his body he was like a super shredded built dude like in these action movies and he becomes
emaciated and he said sofia vergara would stop hugging him or touching him and told him that
she was disgusted by him and eventually divorced him wow so i think that's further the difference
of the thing of like you know for women they can garner sympathy but men can't garner sympathy and
if anything they engender disgust from people if they're seen as men and if they're seen as men
i know i feel i i feel like the answer to this problem is to make it a footnote to your story
and not your whole story you've got a lot more life to lead and live god willing a lot more great
things to do and maybe if you're lucky one day you will be invited as a guest on the ruthless
variety program guys a pleasure to see you thanks for the expertise and the laughs we're back
tomorrow with piers morgan and thanks megan thank you thank you thanks for listening to the megan
kelly show
no bs no agenda and no fear
Podcast Summary
Key Points:
The show investigates claims of immigration fraud involving Ilhan Omar, including DNA evidence suggesting she married her brother in 2009, with allegations of a prior ceremonial marriage and a long-standing family connection.
A 2021 report by The New York Post revealed a 99.999999% chance of blood relation between Omar and her husband, which was later suppressed after a source was arrested by the Biden administration for child sex trafficking.
Federal investigators, including Homeland Security Investigations, are now reportedly reviewing Omar’s immigration history, with the sister of the subject recently cooperating after a federal raid.
The show criticizes the lack of transparency and due process in political scrutiny, comparing the situation to a high-stakes intelligence operation like the hunt for Bin Laden, highlighting concerns over unchecked power and procedural failures.
The discussion turns to Ohio’s governor race, where Amy Acton’s campaign is under fire for alleged falsehoods, emotional instability, and a lack of credibility, including claims of a fabricated “lunge” incident and unverified past.
Critics argue Acton has a history of emotional outbursts, including multiple police reports involving domestic disputes and breakdowns, and lacks real-world experience as a physician.
The show draws a parallel between Acton and the fictional character “Amy” in *Gone Girl*, suggesting she may be using a fabricated personal narrative to gain public sympathy.
The political analysis highlights a broader crisis in Democratic candidate quality, with low voter turnout and a lack of trust in party leadership, potentially undermining future electoral success.
Summary:
The Megyn Kelly Show examines two major political controversies: allegations of immigration fraud against Ilhan Omar, and the credibility of Ohio gubernatorial candidate Amy Acton. 999999% likelihood of familial ties, which was later suppressed after a source was arrested for child trafficking.
FAQs
The controversy centers on allegations that Ilhan Omar married her brother, Ahmed Ermey, in 2009, which raises questions about immigration fraud. DNA evidence reportedly shows a 99.999999% chance of being siblings, and federal investigators have reportedly obtained the DNA through various means. Omar’s family ties, including her sister Sarah and brother Ahmed, have drawn scrutiny, with concerns over her refugee status and alleged connections to a warlord.
According to reports, the FBI did not follow up on the 2021 DNA test results showing a 99.999999% chance of siblinghood. Critics allege that the FBI may have been inactive or protective of its own interests, with the investigation now being led by Homeland Security Investigations instead.
Sister Sarah, who moved to the U.S. in 1995 with Ilhan Omar, voluntarily spoke with federal investigators after a raid on Ilhan Omar’s home. Her cooperation adds credibility to the claims about Omar’s family background and immigration history, and raises questions about the legitimacy of her claims to refugee status.
Amy Acton is accused of having a weak medical background, as she never treated patients despite claiming to be a doctor. There are also allegations of emotional instability, including crying during work, multiple incidents of domestic disputes, and a fabricated 'lunge' incident at a campaign event that resulted in only misdemeanor charges.
No, there was no felony charge. The incident reportedly involved a man walking into a tent and calling out her name, with no physical contact. The local prosecutor stated the act constituted only misdemeanors, and the campaign’s claim of danger was contradicted by video evidence.
Amy Acton’s brother accused her of being a survivor of sexual abuse at age 12 by her mother’s husband, a man who later died. He claimed this trauma influenced her behavior, and that her mother’s statements about her past were attempts to discredit her. However, no conviction has been recorded for the alleged abuse, and the campaign has not provided proof.
