The conversation blends humor, cultural references, and personal anecdotes around Halloween, costumes, and pop culture. It highlights the iconic sound of the *Halloween* theme and the common mispronunciation of "Halloween 20" as "H two O." Costumes are a central theme, with participants sharing imaginative and diverse ideas—from anime characters like Toriko to classic films like *Darjeeling Limited* and *Dr. Evil*. The discussion also touches on memory techniques used to learn vocabulary or anime characters, emphasizing creative, visual associations. Cultural curiosity is evident in conversations about geographic naming inconsistencies, such as multiple "Lake Placid" locations or countries with similar names. A significant portion of the dialogue reflects on modern economic realities, comparing today’s housing costs to those of decades ago, where homes were bought for under $50,000. The group also explores the popularity of anime, citing its engaging storytelling, cliffhangers, and emotional impact. Finally, a thoughtful discussion arises about de-extinction technologies, such as bringing back the dodo or dire wolf through genetic engineering—raising questions about scientific ethics, environmental responsibility, and the boundaries of human intervention in nature. The tone is playful yet insightful, combining personal experiences with broader cultural and societal observations.
Oh, that's a monkey. That's a scary monkey. Oh, I, are you trying to do like the Halloween like sound effect or like, I do, but everyone has their own kind of rendition of how they do it. What movies it were, it's like Halloween. It's no, he does say kill. I think in some movies, there's so many of them out there. I think there's a little bit of like great. Great. A score. Exactly. Even the theme song of it, like, you know, I don't even know how it goes, but the Halloween like tana, tana, tana, tana, tana, tana. It's that song. Yes. I don't feel like the other, you know, Halloween villains have like iconic, like sounds when they like, I don't think so. Yeah. I can't think of one. The only one coming to my mind is jaws. It's the most iconic. Of course. Of course. Yeah. And why do I feel like different horror movies have used it's the same cadence from that score in their own like the building up probably just works. Do you Halloween? Wait, the Halloween one from the 90s with Jamie Lee Curtis when she comes back. Yeah. Halloween resurrection age. How do you say it? Resurrection. Do you say H two O or H 20? Wait, wait, wait, you're talking about the new one. No, I'm talking about the one that Jamie Lee Curtis was in in like late 90s with Josh Hartnet, Michelle Williams, Joseph Gordon, love it. I don't say either. I say Halloween like resurrection. I would say Halloween resurrection. Halloween 20 years later. Oh, wait, it's, but it's not called Halloween resurrection. It's just Halloween. I always was a kid said H two O. Yeah. I would say the same thing. I honestly didn't even know that there was a Halloween movie with this name. If there was a, if all the, a Halloween were listed and this was one of them, I'd be like, okay, that's the one that doesn't belong in there. I've never ever. This is the one that's like, I think the best one of the older ones, if that makes sense. Really? Like Halloween is good, but Halloween two, three, four, five, all those are kind of trash arenas in this. Yeah, buddy. Oh, I don't think I've seen this one. If it didn't say 20 years underneath it, I would have said H two O. That's what eyes. Yeah. Damn, right. And halfway was like in an interview with Josh Hartnet and she was like, I would have just loved to be in a fly on the wall and watched you in the filming of Halloween age 20. And everyone in the comments was like, hold on. Who says H two O? Who says H 20? Just hearing them, just hearing the main actor saying it is correct because it's 20 years later. It's age 20, but like I H two O, even though nothing to do with water. I think it's how you read it too. You know, like I'm sure that everybody was saying it, either H 20 H two O, it probably is easier for her to just say it as H 20 instead of H two O, but how does she say water? Maybe she doesn't like to say H two, because it's not Halloween water. Okay. You're being Halloween age 20. Should we acknowledge our costumes? I don't even know if y'all can't even tell what I am, but in camera, it just looks like I'm wearing a fucking, um, a shimmery. It looks like I'm wearing, oh, what am I for Halloween? A lake. It just looks like like plastic. You should have been an alligator and then meet the lake. You know, like plastic. I've never seen that movie. I've never seen it either with the alligator. Yeah, I didn't even know there. There was a lake, the lake called Lake Placid. It does exist. Did not know that until I only know about the one in Florida. And then when I found out there's also a Lake Placid in New York, I was like, oh, yeah, in the movie. I think it is set in New York because it's like, yeah, that alligator get up here. You know what? I don't like how there's cities with has the same, the same name in multiple, like states. I hate that. My Emmy was my Emmy year Ohio. Don't shit on Miami, Ohio. That's cool. But like, why just come up with a different name? They didn't have like that big of a database back then. I know, but I don't, I don't like it. I don't like it. Why is there a Lebanon, Pennsylvania? Oh, there's a Lebanon, Ohio to ask Lebanon country. Come up with something else or Georgia. There's a, there's a country and then there's a state Georgia, wait. Yeah. I didn't know that. There's a country called Georgia. Yeah. Where? In Middle East. Yeah. Wait, there's Georgia. No, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, Georgia. Yeah. Where? In Middle East. Yeah. There's Georgia. There is a country called Georgia in the Middle East, Jordan or Georgia. Georgia. It's spelled the same. It's right next to our Middle East. It's right next to Turkey. I've been learning the flags, guys. Get ready. I'm going to have them all. I'm like halfway with memorizing the flags. It's so fun. Like you sit down and like you just kind of come up with like a kind of a mnemonic device of when you're looking at that flag, you're going to think of that country. Yeah. Just like it becomes like photographic memory and you're just boom, boom, boom. But then sometimes you'll get a weird country where you're like, what is Mauritius? I've never heard of Mauritius in my life. Then I'll sit down and I'll watch a TikTok of someone like talking about the country. And then I like kind of marinate on like visualizing the place a little bit more. And yeah, that's kind of how I used to memorize, you know, back, back in middle school or elementary when we'd have, is that vote? No, not vocabulary. Oh yeah, yeah, vocabulary test where you would have to know the like the word and then the definition of the word. I would the way I would memorize it because like fucking, you know, I was not good at especially memorization. If the word was, let me try to like say a word that I wouldn't know hyperbole. Sure. Okay. Hyperbole definition of hyper hyperbole. It's like an exaggeration. Okay. So I would go. Yeah. Okay. In my head, I would go, okay, hyperbole, bully, bully, bully. Okay. So the bully is when he bullies me, he is exaggerating the way he exact. Yeah. Yeah. Take that and memorize it like that. And I thought I was only the one that did that because I'm a fucking idiot. I thought everybody else was just like, you know, they just know the fucking word and they just know that every medical student who's passing medical school is little devices like that. Yeah. But how your brain works? Well, I know, but like in the end of the day, it's just like, you're not even, what's the point of the test when it's like everyone's to really be learning it more than like, yeah, because then once you forget what your little like trick was, you have no idea. Yeah. There's just something about it where it's like, maybe let's try to, let's, let's find a different way to memorize these words instead. Oh, wait, we got to go back to our costumes. Sorry. Yeah. Blast it. And then we all have hyperbole. All right. Well, I'm, I'm Mr. Jelly man. I'm Mr. Peanut butter. I'm not Mr. Peanut. I am peanut butter. Matt, you're young yum sauce. And I'm like, Plastic. This is giving yum yum sauce. It's double cheeseburger. Am I a single cheeseburger? You're a crabby party. I think we do have double cheese on it, but I don't know if it's double beef. Heath, you know what you could do as a costume. You should literally make the, oh my God, I forgot his name, the little, the little, the little man, little anchovy man in Spongebob. What's his name? Plankton. Plankton. Okay. Sorry. He ain't in anchovy. He's a plankton. Plankton. Plankton. I know. Plankton. You should put the head right there. And then have his feet as little sticks. He has the crabby patty formula. He's actually in his first burger. And I'm always running. Yes. That's got it. That's, that's a good costume. And you already have way there, bud. Yeah. I can't see you. What are you? Okay. So I had the prisoner. I had, I had to call an audible this morning because I got a banana costume and I didn't realize that it was an inflatable one. So I don't have the batteries for the fan. Also, that would just be a nightmare for the sound. Yeah. I couldn't, yeah, I couldn't sit. You just hear it blowing. Can I guess what you are? Go for it. There's no. Dragon Ball Z. You're close. Actually, Dragon Ball Z. Oh, wait. The other one. The other one. I found out that this character is based on, so I went digging through our little closet back there. I found my old, uh, Lorax sweater that I wore last year. I found Heath's blue mullet wig. And I found some fairy wings, right? So I was going to put them all together and just find something. Then I got curious. I was like, okay, I looked up characters with orange shirts and blue hair to see if I could play off being anybody. I found this character named Toriko. He's, uh, from an anime. He looks like this. Oh, okay. Okay. I shit you not. Guess what the anime is about. The series follows an adventures of Toriko. A gourmet hunter as he searches for rare diverse foods to complete a full course meal off a total fucking whim of what I could find in the closet. Crazy. I found the most perfect character. Serendipitous. So serendipitous. Oh my. Wow. You have now a full course meal. I have you have found it. I have found my full course meal. There's no anime audience now. It used to be great. Wait, that's crazy. It blew my mind. But also, yeah, you did a pretty good job. Oh my god. What an easy costume is the protagonist based off of Goku? Yes. Oh my god. Oh, wow. So it all comes full circle. You got to go to Comic Con now and that. I know. Comic Con is happening next weekend. Oh my, you began those like knee scrolls going like, wait. Oh my god. He reminds me somebody. This gourmet. But yeah, crazy. Had to pull a fucking. That's a great, that's a great costume though. But yes, the people will be like, wait a second. I don't know what you are, but you, you just remind me of something. I honestly did probably be like, okay, wait, Goku. But
So be like, no, that's not Goku because Goku has Goku has yellow hair, yellow hair. Well, when he's super saying when he's super saying you, but it's actually it's Goku's son son. But were you really listening to what he was super saying? Oh, you know what I mean? Did you ever try to like go out and you're back to your kid and just try to turn it to super say it. Absolutely. Oh my god. Yeah. I mean, every time I'm stressed out about something or a panic, my panic attacks turned me into that shit. Should we run the intro? Yeah, we should run the intro. Let's do it. Okay, holly. Y'all fucking ready? We're also we're going to do a spooky intro in the edit. So. Oh, yeah. So should we be real spooky? Yeah. Be real spooky. Ready, Boogie. Three, two, one. It's Hoppys Hoppys. Ready. That was awesome. Oh, yeah. You know what? That's a good like last minute costume idea, like literally look up like show me every single anime character that has these colors. Yeah. Yeah. So easy. Do you watch anime? You know what? That show Castlevania, Castlevania. Yeah. My little sister was watching that and I was binge watching that with her and I watched it. I watched like six episodes straight. I understand why people love anime. Yeah. There's just like something very nostalgic about it. Like I feel like when I was watching is that you just kept reminding me of just. Is it like if it is such a cliffhanger every time or you're like, I gotta see what happens next. Or is it? I think it was just the more is good. I feel like it's just something you just have on. Yeah. And you keep going up and down. And when something's happening, I noticed myself like, Oh, what's what's going on here? You know what I mean? Yeah. Sometimes the cliffhangers are good because my roommates are really into it. And so they're trying to get they're like getting me more into it and I watched Demon Slayer. I think. And death. No, I watched death note for the first time that has some good cliffhangers. Where I'm like, well, shit, I got to watch the next episode. Yeah. Yeah. I like the idea of like a limited series anime. Like if I know if it's one season, I'm more interested to watch it. But if there's like eight or 12 seasons, I'm not. Oh, they're into one piece, which I don't even piece. I don't know how many that episode or that series has like a thousand or a few hundred episodes or something. Yeah. It's like treasure hunters, right? Yeah. But I don't like the most pop like the like the most famous, most popular anime's that people like really fuck with like what like the like the top rated like five ones. Would a goat, not Goku. What's the dragon ball Z? Would dragon ball Z be considered like it's almost like it's almost like a franchise now at this point. Yeah. I wouldn't. I it is. But I wouldn't consider it. But like you would consider it series ones where it's like cowboy B pop. Like that's apparently amazing. And it's like probably the most famous. That's the next one. I'm going to watch. Hi. I'm Genesis. Evangelion. I watched that one. That one was good, but kind of deep and kind of sad. You know who told me to watch that. Jordan. Okay. Yeah. Yeah. Jordan loves anime too. Yeah. He also did. He also watched his art. What's the what's the movie spirit it away? I really want to watch it. Oh. You got it. All the Miyazaki films. I know. I've been. I've been really wanted to. Right. I mean, keep selling us to watch it. He's delivery service. I'm not a princess. I'm an okay fan. I mean, I were like pretty close to doing that for Halloween because all she has to do is wear like a black complete black outfit and she would have the white, um, the white mass thing. But we came up with something. Can you be Shiro? What's her name? Yeah. Is that? Is that a girl's name? Yeah. What's everyone's costumes this year? Um, uh, for one night, Patricia and I are going to do Coraline and YB Coraline and Coraline and Coraline. The blue hair. You know why he's like her friend, but he is black and I was a little worried. I can do it, right? There's plenty of white guys do it. Well, just don't do it. I'm not doing black face, right? Okay. Oh, my God. I know. But I was a little like, should I? So Coraline and YB and then me, Mike and my brother are doing Darjeeling Limited, that Wes Anderson film with Owen Wilson, Jason Swartzman and Adrian Brody. Do you do a Wes Anderson costume every year? I kind of do. I kind of do. Yeah. The way you responded was such white mom. I kind of do. I do. I just love Wes Anderson's aesthetic. But Darjeeling Limited, D-A-R, that one, because I got the bags now. Yeah. Okay. So I'm going to be Owen Wilson, the one, the brother who's like bandaged up. I think my brother is going to be Adrian Brody and then Mike is going to be Jason Swartzman. Why wouldn't you just be the tall one? Because I want to have the bandages and everything. You want to get the most like visually striking one and he's kind of like the middle. I kind of like that, it's more like, you know, you know, yeah, there's more to the costume. Yeah. Yeah. Me and Adaya, what are you going to begin? Oh, um, I mean, this one was like, it's not very like ground breaking, but we're going to do, uh, uh, uh, Dr. Evil and Minimie, the, the prison scene from Awesome Powers. Yes. So fun. We found her like a nude, uh, scarf. So it almost like just like she's bold and then I'm, I mean, I'm not going to get a bald cap just because like, spots are too much work. It's too much. They're so shitty or it's like too much work to make it look good. And it's like, it would be super expensive to just get the, and just knowing how, how much I'll sweat that night, the night of the party, I know it's just not worth it. So I, I'm going to like make the, make the bandana like thick enough where you just can't even see my hair, which is nice, uh, but I thought that'd, that'd be a great, uh, costume for us. But also going to do, um, Rich Middle Eastern family, five, two, okay. That's give me another. I think we might just film that. I don't think we're going to go anywhere with that just because it's like, are you dressing up as a rich Middle Eastern husband or a Saudi, like, Saudi prince and, yes, and his daughter or something or Saudi, just like designer bags or in like wearing traditional guard. Like, where's the flashiness? We're, we're winging it. We're get, we're going to, you'll see it. We're just going to just see what the fuck happens. You know, hell yeah, because there are so many different ways you can do this. And then, uh, I think we're doing one more. Okay. You guys are really going all out here. Yeah. Wow. Oh, I'm okay. So I'm not going anywhere with this, but I'm doing the go again, but I'm not going to any party. I just want to do some videos with it. Okay. You did a goat. Two years ago. Yeah. Kind of forgot about your goat. Yeah. Two years ago. Just do some videos with it. I'm not going anywhere with it though. How much was your dark, was it the dark night? It's not the dark night game of the night king night king. How much was that to get that done? I want to say between three to five care holy shit, so they, you just, so just think about like how, I mean, and obviously it's probably going to be more expensive on set, but they did that every single day they filmed. Oh, right. Oh, no, no, no, we're talking about the actual game of the phone. Sorry. Yeah. Just to give it a reference of how just how expensive like process like a different person that day. I know. It was like hard hanging out with you just like when you weren't filming because you just like, like I would make certain faces and not like, like forgetting that I just don't look like myself. So I just be like, like we're filming and I'm just like, David, like get this. But like, I just look fucking insane. Yeah. Oh, yeah, I miss it. Didn't you face time, like Kylie Jenner and you were like, hey, Kylie got any more of this lip kiss? Oh, no, no, yeah. I was like, um, I call, I call her from sauce phone and he's like, who's that? Or like, who, she's like, who the fuck is that is like, I'm the king of Westrow's bitch. I was like, I'm the king of Westrow. I run Westrow. What's your run? Lipkits. Yeah. It was so good. I was trying to find the original clip because like I, on YouTube, I blurred out all my curse words. So like the on YouTube is just like, what's your, what, and it sounds terrible. And I wish I had the clip without the bleeped words, but I don't have it, which sucks because it was so funny. It was such a funny little interaction that mean I had. Yeah. It was a good times, man. And remember when I slept in it, I didn't finish all my, I didn't finish all my clip videos. So I slept in it. I slept like 45 degree angle, like that, the worst sleep of my life. I can't think of a worse night that like I had a worse sleep than that fucking night. I remember waking up and I was like, I fucking regret it. You had to go to the bathroom just turning on the lights and then scaring yourself. And then I had to drive to the, um, to Jackie who did my prosthetics and I was driving in my fucking G wagon. Yeah. Yes. Yes. I get stopped for my tail light. No. No. He comes up and he's like, license of registration. He, he doesn't mention anything about why I looked like. He's like, he's looking at my license and he's looking at me. And in my head, I was like, how the fuck is he gonna see? I wish I could see the body cam footage. I know. Just pulling up and just like, can you imagine the body cam footage? I know. He doesn't even acknowledge the costume, but like, yeah, the body cam of that would have been gold. Keith, what is going on in your home front for Halloween? What's Tony's costume? What are the plans? We just decided we're doing Tony has like this big Volkswagen looking like push buggy cart thing. Yes. I remember you guys posting about that like, we did first got it. Yes. It's so cool. Remi, Alicia and Zane got it for us when we first had Tony, but we're turning that into a dumpster. Okay. And Tony is going to be a raccoon and then Mariah.
and I are gonna be garbage men. - Love it! - We can like push them around the neighborhood in it. Like, and it's like part of the prop, like costume. - Yes! - And then we're gonna put like trash bags and just like trash looking stuff around it. And then we also got like stickers to put on the trash bin, like the dumpster to make it like, like feel like one. But we're hand making his costume 'cause we couldn't find like a raccoon thing for him. - Yeah. - So we're gonna, we're gonna sew him something. - I'm fair by the way. - So either they're just like, "Oh yeah, huh." - Yeah. - It's like, I'm sorry. - They're the child in here. This is a costume. - Like, oh, they goodness. There's something. Don't my trash bin. - Shining cheeks is like, "Ah!" - Oh my God, I thought you were a real raccoon. - Oh, you guys go trick or treating, or do you like think you're just gonna like take it easy on your action? - Because you were actually, we were joking about that today. Like, we can't even go up and ask for, like he's clearly not at an age that can eat candy. - Yeah, exactly. It's clearly like, would just be for me and her to get candy. So I feel guilty like going up to a door. - Yeah, I feel like your first Halloween, you're really not covering like ground that much. Like, you're getting him used to it. You're like, "Oh, he knows that like, every year, he like goes up to houses like this." - Yes. - He gets candy while I watch. - So I think, I think maybe we'll go to like, our neighbors that we know. - Yeah, who are just like hanging out in the front and just, yeah. - I think most of the time that we'll probably just be like, at the front, just kind of passing. - Yeah, that's the way to do it. - Yeah. - I like giving it out more anyways. - Yeah. - Of course. - Yeah, why don't you do that this year? - Yeah, no, we're gonna have like a little set up thing like table one. - Oh, okay. - Honestly, you can do it all weekend since Friday and Saturday or technically. This is like the first time, or isn't this the first day a Halloween's on like, a Saturday, since the fucking. - A long time. - Yeah. - I've been like in the past like seven years. - So people are gonna have a great weekend. - Yes. - They really could celebrate Halloween. - Be safe. - Two nights instead of. - Being thinking you can just trick or treat the whole weekend. - I mean, honestly, that's, I don't, I don't, I feel like people will do that. - No, they won't. They're only gonna be trick or treating on Halloween. No one's coming up on like Friday, go ahead. Got it. - I can't, you know what I'm gonna do? - I'm gonna drive around the neighborhood and I'm gonna send you a picture of every single person trick or treating on Friday night. I'm willing to bet you that they're trick or treating on Friday night too. - Maybe a trunk or treat thing. I could see happening in a parking lot or like some place is doing trick or treating. But like a neighborhood, the neighborhood's not turning around giving out candy. I'd like your positivity in your office. - What if parents have jury duty on Saturday night? - And they can't celebrate. - When you guys were younger, did you trick or treat in your neighborhood or did you go to like a nicer neighborhood to get just our neighborhood candy? - Most of the time it was our own neighborhood. That's because that's where our friends were in that neighborhood. But I know, I know of people that would go to really rich neighborhoods. Like a neighborhood's like, yeah, like, oh, fuck, what was that really rich thing? - Hot landing was like a really rich one. - Yeah, you know, like if you trick or treat that, I mean, you're walking a bit for every house. - 'Cause houses are bigger, you know. - 'Cause you, but you know, your can't go to shit. - You weren't in for that full size candy bar. - They're giving full size candy bars, which is like, that's the point. - Oh, you know what we got this year to give out that everybody's given out candy, right? Like that's just like the thing. But we bought these little packages that are like Halloween themed, but they're like chips and like those type of snacks. - Oh, okay, yeah, like proper snacks. - Yeah. So we're giving that out now. - No, I don't like that this year. - And I feel like some people - Same looking like. - No, sorry, I just thought of like a scene in my head, which is fucking evil and hilarious if a parent did this for Halloween. You know how they just leave a bowl with candy? - Yeah. - It's like, take one. They're like, the dad is prepared to be on the show. Imagine dressing like the fucking Texas, like this, the dad is just a big fucking dude who just shoots on the ass again. And every time I get him walks up, right as they're going with the candy, he goes, (indistinct talking) Fucking chasing kids on this. We were like, that is terrifying. But man, that'd be fucking good. - Oh yeah. - We used to have like a haunted house in our neighborhood that would do a full fucking haunted maze. Like haunted. - Yeah. - A whole house inside their home was set up where you'd walk through their house and it was like, - You were going in there. - Oh, that's a lot. - Yeah. - It was a heath in our neighborhood. This house always had every year. So like everybody was always expecting it and like always like prepared for it. And it would be a different, literally like universal. He would do a different theme every year. And the year that I went, it was like Texas Chase, I'll mask her and it was fucking terrified. Because like, when you go to like a park, it's more, you know that you're good, but like in just a stranger's house, you're just like. - Yeah. - Oh, this is like a little weird. - Yeah. - Extra layer of creepy. - Yeah. - Because he's doing this for fun. He's not like, there's no tickets at the door. - He's not paying for it. - He's not paying for it at his home. - Just imagine. - Do that creepy. - Yeah, but it was like, oh no, no, sorry. It was like a family. It was like a mom. - Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. - But still I would not. - Yeah. - I thought people did haunted houses, like almost in their front yard, go through their backyard and then like out their backyard kind of a thing. But you didn't go like in the house. - What I would do is I would do a haunted mansion, a haunted maze, but also escape room. You're fucked. You got to now make it out of here. - And get to rest out. - Because the kids can't get out. - Yeah, also it's an hour away. Like every person that comes up, there's a whole fucking line. It's like a 30 minute escape room. - Yeah. - It's a haunted maze. So it's all nice. - There was the, do you remember the one that was in Toluca Lake that people waited in line for? - It was like a hundred people deep every single year. - No. - Well, it wasn't. - Like they went all out. They built out this giant thing in their driveway that looked like it came from movie sets. It was like these huge stone pillars, like entrance way, and it was just like super over the top. We always wanted to do it every year, but the line was just insane. So I never got to see like how good it was inside, but you could tell they spent money on these. - Inside their home though, they would go inside. - I don't know if it went inside the home, but like they built their whole driveway out with these like massive stone columns and like walls. Like it looked insane. - I like that, that's good. At least it's outside. It's not like inside the fucking house. - Yeah. - Just haunted houses though, everyone takes their damn time going through. 'Cause it's not like, you know, a structured ride. - No, I mean, people are hesitant to go to the next room, and it's like, come on. - I just sprint right through it. I'm like, get me the fuck out. It's one of those things you wait in line for, and then like I try to get through as quick as possible. - And they gotta be so careful now. Like now, 'cause remember, they used to fucking grab you and fucking, they used to be really interactive. And now the minute they fucking just skate through my shoulder, - Mm-hmm, lawsuit. - I thought, you know what's crazy? I always thought lawsuits were this thing where like you can't just like, super anything. Or you can't super anything. It has to be like approved before like, - I get what you mean. - But I didn't know you could super fucking anything. Like, it's, I mean, like if you treated me bad one day, I can sue you for that. It's not a good fight for me, but like I can get a lawyer to send you a fucking, a seasons, or a fucking, a serve you and be like, you're being sued by Zane. It's a terrible fucking fight, but he's suing you. - And then we both have to. - And then we both have to get lawyers. What an insane concept. - I know. - Like there should be like an approval, like where it's like a filtering system where it's like, because now we both have to pay for lawyers. Yeah, but he thought obviously get approval. Like or, oh, that would be such an easy case. - Just such an easy case. But yeah, I just thought that was interesting. - Before we continue, we want to give a big thank you to our sponsor of this episode, Shopify. We love you. - Wait, can we talk about where you went or now? - I mean, we could say we went to Hong Kong, but that's all we can say. Like they won't let us get into the details of the whole trend. - Until it all comes out. - Yeah, guys, we went to, we posted, I think I posted like a story there, but like yeah, we were, Keith and I went to Hong Kong for like, for like what, three and a half days, four days. It was crazy. We just can't talk about it yet. - Bummer. - Yeah. - But dude, so excited. - So get excited. - Oh, okay, good. - It was just a fun experience. - Yeah, but you didn't, you went to Shanghai, right? You didn't go to Shanghai. - Yeah, I never went to Hong Kong. - Well, one Hong Kong, I, so I think I had it wrong. - I was on Hong Kong, they only speak Cantonese there, but apparently they do speak Mandarin. - Yes, they speak both, but mostly Cantonese. - But mostly Cantonese. And I think that's why I've just never been that interested in going is because I just wanted to go like, test my language skills in a place where everyone's speaking it, but. - Did you know that it's separate from like China? - Yes. - Like it is China, like I had no idea. - Yeah. - And also I was like, I don't know that.
up until 1997, it was under British rule. I did not know 1997, I didn't know the 90s. I didn't, we were shocked, we're like, holy shit, that's fucking, that just happened. I wonder like, is it rush hour, doesn't that all go down in Hong Kong? Yeah. I think I asked that question to somebody and they said it was pretty sure it's Hong Kong. I think Hong Kong and Shanghai too. Maybe in like, rush hour two, but not even rush hour two, I thought they like both go back to Hong Kong and both, because he's in also Jackie Chan though, is from Hong Kong. Yeah. He saw his apartment. Yeah. We know. Oh, it's a very expensive man, he's not giving any of his wealth to his son. I think what's your, what's your thoughts on that? Well, just like, there's a lot of really rich people that have that same mentality. I don't need to give, I mean, I think there's a level where you're so wealthy, you do not need to give all of that wealth to your, like, your offspring. You can donate it and give them something. I'm not saying like you cheat them out on like, but he said, okay, he's going to pledge his entire 400 million fortune to charity rather than leaving it to his one son. Oh, I thought it was while he was alive. No, because but his son is like pretty successful, but he's always said that his son is capable of earning wealth for himself. But I'd be like, dad, come on, can I just like, give me like 10, 10 million. I don't know. I think as a father, like, no, you, like, I don't think the whole 400 million should go to your son. I mean, I mean, that's just almost your, I don't think no, I would not give 400 million dollars solely to one, like, I would, like, but just, especially if he's like, and it depends on the son, right? If like, if my son is a fucking like deadbeat, like fucking drug addict, I'm not giving anything to my son. If I know my son is working hard and he's a smart kid and I know that he can take this money and like, change the world or just do good with the money, then give him, like, give him like a fucking like a 10% or whatever, especially if you have 400 million, just give him like a percent and then give the rest of charities. Yeah. I think like maybe he's just saying that to like motivate his son to like create his own success and fortune for himself and then maybe the day he dies, he's like, hey, here's a little bit. Actually, that's a really good, that's a good strategy to keep your son. I want to think that it would be like that where you're like, wow. Yeah. Imagine that just drains your whole relationship with your son is you're like, yeah, I'm not giving you anything. They're like, we'll screw you. I don't like see the meaning in any of this and you're like, okay, no, you see that I was kidding. I was kidding. You know what? That's a giant fucking test. If my son, if my son was treating me like that, after I told him like, hey, look, I want you to work hard for me, then that kind of shows, yeah, they're real care. How much do you love me? Yeah. It's so weird because it's like a, it's like a damned if you do damned if you don't situation. What do you mean? It's tough because like you, you want that you want to take care of them. You like, I feel like I'm working hard for, you know, my family and like, being able to like provide something like after I'm gone, security. And then I like, cause I've seen really wealthy people like their kids are kind of like fuck ups because they're just given everything and they don't have like the drive or motivation and it's kind of like sad where you like, you're watching them and they kind of just feel like they have no real purpose because they just get whatever they want. They don't really work. But then also at the same time, it's like the, the system is so rigged against you and everything is just like kind of fucked up. Everything's really expensive, wages are underpaid, everything's inflated. So it's kind of like, it's, ah, it's so tough. I'd want to make sure that like, there's generational wealth set up to where like education isn't an issue, like their kids should be able to go to college, like that's not a problem. Like, I don't know, being able to afford like a basic house like, or like, I mean, you can't use it to your own like luxury. Yeah. I see. But like it gets you. See it as like a, like if you had all that money and you want to give it to your kids, think of it as like, you're a boss and you're promoting like your employee pretty much like, has he shown that he's a hard worker? Is he good at what he does? Is he determined? Is he motivated? Is he not a fuck up? Is he not putting, spending all this money on fucking, you know, terrible shit? Then from there, that's how you, and then you give him that like kind of promotion. I want to just treat it as like a, as a business. Yeah. Because that's how you earn your money, you earn your money through business. So like you, that's how you treat it when you take that money and give it to your. Maybe, maybe I'm just pissed because nobody in, you know, my ancestry locked the fucking. Yeah. Maybe, maybe I'm a little bit better. Especially since it was so easy back in their days. Yeah. Oh, you bought a house for 500 bucks? Beautiful. Yeah. Uh huh. What the fuck? It was so easy for them. Fucking yeah. Pick yourself up by your bootstrips. Yeah. Okay. Yeah. Yeah. 10 years old now. It's like 40 years. It's like to buy your home, like first home. My grandparents, they bought their first house. You want to guess how much they bought their first house? Well, where did they live? They lived in Tampa and how many bedrooms were the house? How many square feet? One, two, three, four, four bedrooms, two baths. So probably like at least 2000 square feet. They probably bought it for 12 grand. Um, let's say 1700 square feet, um, how much, they probably bought it for 12 grand. Uh, I would say $50,000, $50, $60, $80,000, $35,000. Oh my gosh. $35,000 they bought it and, and they, and they just sold it because they're, uh, they live in a retirement home now. Yeah. Yeah. Kind of like a retirement home that attached with a, um, nurses, nurse care, nursing home. Yeah. Nursing home. They, uh, it got sold for $300 and $50,000. Wow. Damn. Yeah. 10 hex increase. Yeah. Not bad. You also have to look at the median income from then and then also the median home price because it was usually double. So if you made, let's say, just making up numbers, 10 grand, you know, as a household a year, the house would be on average 20 grand. Yeah. Right now, it's like seven times the median income. It's, it's like absurd like that. Yeah. I think it's four to seven times. Yeah. You have no, you have literally no option but to rent just to constantly rent. It's crazy. Yeah. It's insane. It's tough out there. Yeah. My grandma bought her house. I remember she told me because when I first moved out here, I had to get a, not a new car, but like I had to replace my old one. And I think I bought it for like $4,700 or something. It was like an Oh nine camera. And then I told my grandma about the car and she was like, I bought my first house for $4,000. What was she living? It was in Kentucky, but it was probably when she was in her like early 20s, like with my grandfather. And it was like a two or three bedroom house. Like it was a small thing. But that was probably maybe in the 30s or 40s, my mom's first car was a 69 Mustang fastback. It's like I bought it for $500 bucks. And there were no problems with the car. No. Wow. Perfect. My first car was $2,000, which sounds crazy now, but back then it was like, I paid a lot still, but my transmission was completely fucked. So in a year and a half, it completely blew and then I lost the car. I lost my first car too. Like I had it for a couple of years. It's completely neat on Altima. I think my dad bought it for, but I think it was like $4,000, $5,000. Look around there. That was like my budget, I think was like $5,000. Okay. Yeah, that's good. I'm grateful. Thankful. Did you ever, did you ever drive a, had to drive a stick shift? No, I never did. And sometimes I feel like I need to learn because I always think about like it's a horror movie. Get out of the house. Get in the car. Let me start it. Fuck it. Stick shift. Yeah. You don't think you could wing it and do it. I think I know how stick shift does work, but like in the moment of stress and having to lock in like, yeah, I think I could learn. I know, you go in the clutch, you're getting the gas up when it goes past the one thing you're moving to the two and like you're, I know what's going on. Everybody has never driven it though in a situation like that heat. It'd be pretty, it's pretty impossible. Especially the pressure of trying not to stall when you're like trying to get away because the way, especially when you have to kick it into like dry, the way you have to like fucking do this with the clutch and then make sure it's your only real concern and like pressure would be just getting into first gear. Yeah. Yeah. Unless you don't know to go to second gear and then you blow that shit up. I know. Do you go from like reverse, I had to drive a, what was it, a torso, a new car, an old car. A torso. Yes. Oh, you had a torso. Sorry. A torso. I had to drive that to work every day and my windows wouldn't go all the way up and in Florida. It would rain all the time. And literally it would flood inside my eye. I just had to do it with it. It was terrible. It was the worst car question for 21 money car question. So you know when like you flick, you know, your, your blinker, your turn signal, and it's like that. Do you think that sound is an actual mechanical sound or is it like a digital sound that is being played? Digital. Okay. Yeah. Now it's definitely digital. But it did use to sound way more mechanical when we were young, you're right. Yes. And digitally they have a sound bite there that they're playing in the speaker now, just to make the turn signal. Okay. I mean, I would say my old car was with a digital. My old Mustang used to definitely sound like it was like a, like a flick. Yeah. Yeah.
on mechanism. Yeah, I remember it being like very sharp in like mechanical and real. It was more, it was more tingy. Yeah. I honestly thought it was always just silent back then and until when it started being digital, then you heard it. I don't even think mine makes a sound in my car now. Maybe I have to turn the volume all the way down and like listen for it. But it doesn't make the sound. It's not that loud enough. It probably does. I just don't pay attention to it that much and I don't drive that much. But can you look up if is the turn signal, a digital or mechanical sound? Because I actually don't know the answer, but someone posed it on TikTok and I did not read the comments. One time I left my left and right turn signals weren't working. I had to press the yield button every fucking time I wanted to turn so people would just have to guess where I'm turning. So turn signals can be either analog or digital depending on the age and technology of the car. Older vehicles did use a thermal flash or an electro mechanical relay. My God. So it was a by metallic spring heated up in bent or a physical relay clicked open and closed to make and break the circuit. Oh, you know, ambulance sounds used to also be. Also be non digital. Oh, so you used to make a whole like a crank like a whole. They would have like a little kid in there in them. Look at it. Wow. We do. We do. Do you think you could identify the difference between a fire siren and ambulance and a police car? Are they all different, right? Yeah. I'm pretty sure I can. Yes. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. For sure. Well, is every state different? Like every I think the country is the same country. Countries are different too. I know I know what the UK saw. I have it in my head. I have it too. All the shows like the shows that I watched are all the limited series. How does it go? I thought it was very. That's very British. That is. Do you want to hear it? That was it. No, no, no, that was definitely a. Oh, I have one more costume. Actually, I'm going to a Halloween party in Miami. Lie back just for a couple days. Who's party? Um, John, uh, the CEO of Celsius, John fieldly. Whoa. He's having a party. So flying in for that. I'm bringing my mom to it because she, uh, she lives in for Lardo. So I was like, Hey, you know, well, mom, you're going to see a lot of them. Maybe you can find your new man out there. Yeah. You know, um, I have not told her yet because I keep forgetting to tell her, but it's in like a few days. Oh, and she's never been to a Halloween party, which is crazy. My mom has never been to a Halloween party. What? In her life. In her life. Never. And I was like, Mom, are you sure? Like, think about like Halloween. Like you never dressed up and went to a house. Somebody was throwing a party. She's like, no, no, I've never like dressed up for her. Sure. Sure. Yeah. She wouldn't lie about that. Okay. Okay. Okay. No, she genuinely wouldn't lie. Okay. Yeah. It's crazy. Impossible. I know. Whoa. Which when she told me that it started, I started seeing maybe like maybe her child, like childhood was like a little different. Like I thought about her child with a little differently in my head. Yeah. Now I'm ahead. I'm like, oh, maybe she didn't like have like friends or a lot of friends back in school. No, no, because like her, uh, her parents were strict. Oh, I was going to ask. So like, did she celebrate Halloween growing up? Cause she probably like went trick or treating in the near one, but she said she never went to a Halloween party. Yeah. Because I kind of believe it. Parties are maybe kind of more like an adult thing too. Yeah. Yeah. I couldn't believe it though. She doesn't know what she's going to be yet. So what do you have an idea? Are you and her going to be a duo? I was going to see out. Well, I was going to see if we try to be like firefighters in some way and maybe just like grab costumes from like spirit or something, like a firefighter out there. Okay. Just to make it simple and easy. Her career is not your costumes. I know. I know. But I was like trying to think of like one famous like, uh, mother son, like duos and like your mom, you know, with her new face and everything. I think like, is there something? I couldn't remember that you remember that TLC show growing up Gotti, where that like, oh my god, I do. I've never seen it. Mom and like her like Guido sons and they would all have like the hair gel and they were super tan growing up Gotti. And like the, the sons were like, but I don't know. You just, you just had just like, you know, mafia. You just do mafia. Mafia family. It's pretty much. She's really cruel. No. Not cruel. Like something really simple and cheap. I don't just I mean, like a famous blond lady who is like a popular son, you know, and the dead. Oh, yeah. Oh, God. But she has like an arrow in her baby's mom get shot by an arrow or was it a definitely got killed. I think I got killed by a hunter. Yeah. Yeah. I don't am I not a man. I'm kind of in a gun. I do remember. I do remember a people time out like how dark it was. Like very dark. There's mom dies in the beginning. Sorry guys. Spoiler. Yeah. Sorry. I position for the one for the two people that have never seen it. And they've never heard of it. They really had like something for like killing off a parent. Like what was up everything in King, you know, yeah, the dad. We're trying to relate to like, I think you can just the mom's dead. Like what are we doing here? Yeah. Neema, the mom is dead. I think so. Yeah. It's just got eaten. Didn't you get eaten by something? Probably by a bear cuda. And then the bear cuda comes for all of his siblings. And that's why he was like so triggered by it because that's how his wife died. Yeah. Oh shit. Yeah. Cause the dad's trying to find Neema the whole time. We're people saying that they thought that Neema, Neema was dead because they never mentioned. Hold on. No, there's something about clownfish where they like change genders. Yes. Yeah. So basically, Marlin, I think would have to transition into female. Oh, technically, like biologically speaking. So in the movie, him being a male doesn't really make sense. He would have become a female, a woman or something like. Oh, whoa, crazy. Yeah. We learned that in a or what is it? All clownfish are born male. And the dominant female of a group dies. The largest, most dominant male changes into a female to take place. Yes. We learned it from Marlena, we learned it from the guy in the aquarium. Yeah. We couldn't believe her. Like holy shit. I knew like sea horses also like hold the eggs and birth it, right? The male, the male male sea horses like give birth to sea horses. That's so funny because they look so, but I think the females like put their eggs in him and then he fertilizes the eggs and then we got her bumping in love. All right. Yeah. I think that's how it maybe works. But young sea horses are not talked about. I know they're not right there with you. There are days where I'm looking at sea horses. I'm like, what are we all not freaking out about this? We are not talking about sea horses. It seems like a fake. It seems like a, a, a lab-grown animal. Like it's made in a lab and then pushed out to the sea. Yes. It's fucking insane. They have a full rib cage like that. Yeah. Oh, Matt, you know what? I haven't even looked up sea horses in so long. This is truly incredible. And their fins are so small. They're like defying gravity. And they're, they're upright too. Like as they don't believe about the ocean. Oh my God. This, this would be an animal like, uh, think of an animal that would be fucking terrifying if it was like massive like a whale. Oh, yeah. Horse. Fuck. No. God. That would look like it came from another planet. Oh, I couldn't imagine. God. Look at that thing. Because they're so detailed. The, the closer you get up to a sea horse and look at its face and stuff, that on a massive scale could, I couldn't handle it. Is there like what? What like family does this come from like the sea horses? Like great question. I don't know. I was just thinking that like it's not a mammal. I don't even know how to say that. Oh, hip. Signet. Sea dragon. Hi fish and sea dragons. Dragons are under the hippocampus. We got one of those. Yo, we got a hippocampus. Dragons existed. I like, I'm, I'm on my money on it. This time saying I think so. But because they were like seen in like old drawings and stuff, very often across the world that weren't in communication with each other. Yeah. That's the one that they're not all just dreaming up this thing. You know, thousands and thousands of years ago, drawing it. I don't know. Can you maybe, maybe dinosaur bones or dragons? Do can you fucking imagine some, a dragon is over something we had to deal with today? Oh, no, like there's nothing animal wise that we have to deal with really. Unless you're in like the middle of nowhere, like the middle of the jungle, then you're like kind of fuck you have to like kind of figure it out. But like, you can't, you wouldn't be able to control fucking dragons. Oh, yeah. I would think about that with like Godzilla movies. I'm like, oh, this is a rest. I just know that is because of dragon is coming in just destroying the city. Multiple cities. Like, fuck me. Like, we would not have tall buildings. All of I think life would be underground. Oh, it would have to be like we'd have to figure that shit out. Oh, and the amount of humans on this planet would be fucking significantly lower. Yeah. For sure. Oh, my God. It's so crazy to think about this. You make a movie like that. I'm trying. They probably dragons in real time. Oh, that would be interesting. I like that idea. Yeah, that is. Oh, my God. That would fucking crush. There's actually it's not. He hasn't published the report yet, but I saw a video of this guy talking about. There's a, I forget his name, but he's a like prolific archaeologist. And he said that he's currently writing a report about how he found T-rex fossils. Uh-huh. And it's the first recorded time that they found feather impressions with the fossils. And so it's not, he hasn't come out and like, um, implying that the T-rex - That's interesting.
like a feather impressions like where like in the rocks in the rocks around now. So implying that the t-rex was actually covered with feathers. Yeah, they were way more bird like than the image. Wasn't there a movie that just came out that they did. I feel like end of Oak Street leaned a little bit more bird like bird. Yeah, dinosaurs than like your typical Jurassic Park dinosaurs. I like how they did that. They're like, let's try to like match to what people are like now guessing maybe what they could have looked like. Yeah, which is fucking terrifying. No, it just feathers on that to like God. Like imagine, it's basically just a giant chicken, but like carnivorous. Like it just wants to fucking eat you. It always it always made me like, okay, that doesn't make sense. The t-rex with them little tiny little baby arms. I'm like, this is it feels more like a bird and it's got those two arms that don't do anything. Yeah, it has a massive legs and those big old chompers, big old chompers, something. I don't know. Did you hear they're trying to bring back the dodo bird? Fuck, what is a dodo bird again? It went extinct. It was this bird that went extinct. And so when people always go, let's go the way of the dodo, like let's let it like, yeah, and we didn't go extinct. I think it was about like two or three feet high. Like it was pretty much bigger than that. It was pretty big for a bird. But it got its name from, I think the Portuguese, they used to call it like doost doost or however you say that in Portuguese, which means like full or idiot, because they just have no survival skills. The same company that brought back the dire wolf is working on bringing back the dodo bird now. What brought back the dire wolf? Yeah, so they found they use like the genetic remnants that we have of dire wolves. And they combined it. They edited gray wolf DNA. And then they took that they impregnated like a large hound in order to carry it. And then they birthed new dire wolves. It's like in quotes because it's like a dire wolf, gray wolf hybrid. But essentially it's like got the size and the coat of a dire wolf. So what's the point of like in like unnaturally embredding different animals like that? Like what's the point? I think covering it, say you did it. Does that feel wrong to you? Or does it just feel in a way you're playing God? But in my person who's going to be like, I guess you're not hurting anybody. But they can't get out of hand, you know? She can't party ends now. But if we're dealing with, but if we're dealing with like species that are on the verge of extinction, and we need to find ways to like repopulate them, get them going. So it doesn't happen. Like I'm open for that completely. Is it a way to swerve extinction? Sure. Bringing things back from the dead. I mean, I don't know. I'm all for the extension of mosquitoes. We don't need them. Yeah. No, we don't. Do we not? That's not the schedule. So like, that's mosquito property. Yeah, but they buy mosquitoes. Yeah. They fucking know. Mosquitoes, you fucking tear apart me though. Matt, you're going to love this one. No, yeah. What is it? So, okay, shout out to Muriel, Alexandra Reyes, 2941 in the YouTube comments for this idea. She suggested she was like, because we were talking about letterbox on the last episode. She's like, you should have the guys try to guess the movie solely based on the letterbox reviews. So I took that made it Halloween theme. So it's all horror movies. Oh, okay. Damn it. Not going to know it immediately. Hopefully you never know how spooky. So this is called don't let the reviews scare you. You are good. Did you draw that yourself? I found the picture on Google, but the text I took into Photoshop. All right. You guys ready? Yes. All right. So I have the I'll have the ratings in the top left corner for each one. And then the rest is just reviews that I found that are kind of funny. This movie is rated at 4.1 average. Okay. Out of five. Say, a man will put you through every circle of hell imaginable and still have the audacity to ask, what's so bad about being with me? Okay. Okay. As a film lover, I was thrilled. As a cat lover, things were harder. Okay. So I know it. I know it. I know it. Okay. Keith. Oh, I know it. Obsessed. Obsessed. Oh, obsession. Obsession. Obsession. I was, I was, so that's where my head was going, but I do love this review that says, I want to be the detective who tries to understand what happened after the movie. That's a very, very good, like letterbox, funny one liner. That's my favorite one. And someone also left a review. This is just a regular day for Lesbian. That one. As a person with Lesbian parents, that one made me how? That's funny. Obsession. Yeah. Obsession. All right. Next one. All right. Next rating 3.8 out of five. Every teenage girl in this movie tits out for getting murdered. Okay. All this guy does is stand there breathing heavily like damn bitch. Just take a puff from your inhaler and go. Oh, they are all terrible babysitters. And if I had children, I would never hire them. I'm the one with the fucking king batch in it, right? Uh, no. This is giving hollow. Is it giving Halloween? Oh, wait. Oh, that one called the babysitter. The babysitter. I think, wait, see, this is why I simply don't have sex. One second, you're just laying down the pipe and all of a sudden the big boy come in and try to stab you because he jealous of you and you're rocking hog. I don't need that pressure in my life. Porkin is a young man's game. I got bills to pay. There's clearly a lot of follows. No, there's follows. I've never seen all this guy does is stand there breathing heavily like damn bitch. It is the babysitter. No, no, no. You think it is that I don't know the babysitter that well, but I love Samara weaving. Who's it? Wait, is it with the Bella Thorne in it? Yeah. Inhuman. Considered a horror movie, right? But this one, this one they would know. You would know all of these. So this is clearly a guy who's like walking up behind them, like, breathing. I think the main guy's just constantly breathing throughout the whole movie. Like he's probably like weirdly breathing. Is that what happened to the babysitter? I just remember the babysitter. They're sitting around telling ghost stories. I don't really remember that movie. It was a long time ago. Um, but he also said that we would all know this movie. I don't think we would all know the babysitter. They are all terrible babysitter. So there's multiple babysitters in it. But maybe they're not babysitters. They just would all maybe they're looking after their. It says if I had children, I would never hire them. So they're clearly babysitters. Weapons in the movie. No, it's not weapons. Is it recent or old? Old. Old. Okay. So then I want to say children of the corn. No, no, then I want to say, but then, but okay, but Friday the 13th is they're at camp, right? Oh. So those are camp counselors. They're not babysitters, but they're are multiple of them. I don't like, I don't remember. Okay. Wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, guys, guys. What's the movie where there's a girl who's babysitting in like this really nice, like kind of like glass house in the middle. It's strange because it's not when a stranger calls. She has a friend come over now because it says they are all terrible babysitters. There's only one babysitter. There's no sex in when there's no sex in it. There's there's boobies out in this. I think one of the key reviews is awesome as usual, but why does this bitch know how to drive? They arrested his ass when he was like six Halloween. It's Halloween. I just needed you to lock in your answer. Remember in the beginning, her tits were out when she got stabbed. Oh, you're right. There are boobs in the beginning. Yeah. Okay. I got I was. I know the reviews were all over the place. Wow. Okay. All right. Rating 3.9 out of five. If anyone ever clicks their tongue around me, I'm calling the police. I already know it. Oh, I've heard it. Yeah. Hereditary. Yep. It is hereditary. Damn. Damn. I forgot about that tongue. I want us to read something that doesn't give it away too much just to make the segment a little longer. I know. Anyway, a movie and a two-hour reminder to take your birth control when you're circle small, but y'all crazy. Yo, the dad was getting laid. He really was. Very hard to read a movie that I know has made very well, but that I also never want to think about ever again in my goddamn life. Yeah. What if we kissed in King payments treehouse? One of the eight kings of hell. You know what? Jared, this I actually really like this segment. Next time we do it, you should put in order from like the hardest review to like, oh, this gives it away. That would be like a fun way to do it because then we have to try to. It's like a wordle. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. The longer you take on one, the less points, I don't know, that could be fun. I like that. All right. Next one. Wow. This is a big movie. 143,000 fans rated this movie 4.0 out of five. When he tells you the exorcist reminded him of you. Okay. Getting killed because you're not a crazy cinephilly. Cinephilly. Just two guys taking turns stabbing each other because they're. Yep. It is scream. Oh, two guys. Yeah. Belma. Let's see who the killer really is. Pulls off mask. Scooby-Doo. Right. This is like Matthew Lillard. Yeah. That is so funny. That last scene is just like they will just like seem like lovers. So what a crazy moment. And it's because it was like, you know what? It was also kind of funny, right? That movie. I don't know the plot of like scream one very well. But they did incorporate humor in it. So it did make sense that they made these guys just like really weirdly like. Yeah. Yeah. I still love the whole campaign that they had around this movie where like they're like, oh my god, we're going to get this huge actress. Drew Barrymore. We're going to put her in the fucking poster of this movie. And she's going to die in the first five minutes. That is fucking genius. I loved that they did that. And I'm sorry, confused. Like, like, I'm sure that I had to have been the first movie that they've ever done. We're like, yeah, special.
like they couldn't believe that she died in the first like because she is the biggest actress in the movie. I'd be sitting in the theater like she's obviously right. I think that's so sick. And that's my a hawk and like the fear street Netflix series that they had like my a hawk was like this girl and she died like in the first 10 minutes and I think it was a bit of an homage to it screen read the first review for this one. All right. So this to the 3.2 out of five y'all trying to damn hard. I would have just killed myself. That's funny. But oh, but oh, to be a 2000s horror movie character unapologetically dumb driving to nine inch nail songs rocking low rise jeans, bangs, lip gloss, always applied somehow. Oh, wait, wait, wait, true friendships when you and your bro leave to take a shit together. Oh, I know this. Wait. If only Mark Wahlberg had been on the plane. None of this would have happened. All right. Well, hold on. That's only Mark Wahlberg had been on the plane. None of this would have. Oh, yep, yep. Wait, on a plane. Oh, and you, man, you, you just know the filmmakers are glad they didn't release this a year later. So this is pre 9/11. And there's a plane crashing. It's a horror movie. Yes, we know this saying we know this so well. You there. Oh my god. Oh my god. Oh my god. It's a horror movie. Um, what if you had extreme extreme anxiety, but it was true. And they say in the go dessert for trying to go to friends. Oh, final destination. Yep. Oh, to me, that's not a horror movie. It's a horror movie. Yes. Paper, final destination. It's not a horror movie. Sure, there's not a killer, but death is coming for them. I know. I just most horrific ways. No, I just, I just, in my head, it's more of like a thriller. Like a, not actually that, like a thriller, like to me, a thriller and a horror are like completely different. Yeah. To be honest, I was debating putting it in. But then the first review was like to be a 2000s horror movie character. So it's like people do agree. Okay. Yeah. I like, I, yeah. I respect it. I do love this movie. I love the whole franchise of this movie, which is why you put it in there. Yeah. Sure. Okay. Ooh, 3.1 out of five, which you know what? That's pretty average for a horror movie. Pretty average, you know? A lot of times it's low. Okay. Not bad, but the second act falls short. I put that one in for you because you said you love those types of reviews, falls flat, bisexual, horror, royality, royalty, bisexual, love, investigation. That's true. I don't see the big deal. He's just hungry. I know it. There was not a single brain cell shared between anyone in this, in this entire movie. Maybe they had run him over one more time. Oh my God. Come on. And I think we've talked about this movie recently. He's just hungry. Okay. So it's got cannibalism in it. Is it the barbarian? Nope. Nope. No. No. I don't know if you have seen this movie. I think you brought up. You're like, I don't think I've ever seen it. The green inferno. No. Nope. The green info. Oh, yeah. Any movie that is a cannibalism in it. We did talk about it. It's not cannibalism, but this thing does eat people. He does eat people. I want 50 shades of gray. He's just hungry. Matt, do you want to say it? Yeah. Jeepers creepers. It is jeepers creepers. Oh, fuck. It's big. Jeep. Big Jeep, baby. He's just hungry. So it's just a biting citizen. He doesn't proper. He did say he eats you. I completely forgot. I've never seen this movie, but like I completely forgot. I think we were talking about sounds of the lambs like a little earlier. Yeah. Yeah. Which I just watched this movie for the first time because we talked about it recently. Pist me off the whole movie. They have the survival instincts of a fucking lemon. Yeah. They do. Really? They all could have gone away from this guy. Oh, if they just kept driving, they literally they pass them. They have this creepy interaction. And they're like, that was weird. And then they see him at the church and they go, what if we turn around and go back to the church and like go into his layer? I'm like, you deserve to die. Yeah. Yeah. You do deserve to die. Yeah. Just keep fucking driving. Yeah. Anyway, hated that movie. Oh, my God. You're not, you don't feel bad for them at all. No. I mean, they're fucking idiots. But did they feel, did people feel bad for them when it first came out, right? Was it like a different time? Because you know, kids are like, you know, they're a little more adventurous or like, maybe, maybe we've seen too many people with zero survival instincts. Yeah. We just get mad. Like it's not like it's one of them had a curse and they had to break it by going to the layer to find this thing to break the curve. They were having a great life. They were, they were coming home from college brother and sister, right? Yeah. Wild. I hope in my daughter hits puberty. It'll be a tad less eventful. I know it. Someone get this girl some chapstick. 12 year olds are just like that. Didn't fart a single time during this movie. Has no connection to the movie. Please don't die father. You're hot. The exorcist. It is the exorcist. It's definitely the exorcist. That one has a horse thing. A very scary. All right. This is, this is the last one. All right. Oh my God. This 30,000 fans. This has to have feet in it now. Yeah. If it's Quinter and Tina's favorite posters, so there must be something to feed the scariest thing about this movie is the acting. This is what no pussy does to a motherfucker. Whoever beats the game. Oh, I've had without lubricant. Whoever beats the gay allegations first gets to leave the bathroom. Wait, the bathroom. Why is it? Oh my God. It is. It is. Oh, yes. It's a fight. Yeah. Oh my God. Which, okay. Every single review under this movie has to do with them being gay. Were they gay in the movie? I don't remember you guys. I remember together. They're both gay. I have no idea, but legitimately like this review. Why isn't this under the LGBT tag? Like every single or whoever beats the gay allegations first gets to leave the bathroom. Do you think this was like a joke because somebody set it on letterbox first and then like it became this like on like, I think, or some people I think there's nothing about it. People are making that joke. We're like, this movie's giving like a gay vibe. I have. If it's like two men who are forced like be with each other. Like, yeah, I have no idea. They're like dynamic. That felt like they were falling in love or something. I was reading these reviews. I was like, I have to watch this movie again. Like, I seen it many times. I did not get a gay vibe in that. Yeah. Anywhere in that bathroom scene, did they wait? Did they both mention that they had wives? I had no idea. I need to watch it. Maybe they're waiting for it. LGBT community is waiting for it. They never mentioned a family, never mentioned a wife. True. Gay. There was also another one. I didn't realize the character Adam at one point says, give me that sweet cancer. And they were like, motherfuckers said that in front of Jigsaw. He deserved whatever he had come to. We can't wait. Does he? Would he put, would he put people in traps if they were like addicted to like smoking? I don't know because they're like killing their body in a way. Maybe. Yeah. I mean, he think he would usually take what was like killing them and make them face it out of all the traps that people have been in and saw. What is the one that is the least fucking like the least harmful where they don't deserve to be in there? Or they're all pretty fucking bad. The one with the fucking razors and the syringes and she's putting her hand in. I'd be like, let's just put the our fingers in and open up the flap. No, no, I meant like harmless. I said, like, they don't deserve to be in this trap right now. Oh, the one where like the, where that woman woke up and like, there were like fish hooks in her ribs and stuff. No, I think, I think they'm trying to say like the people like did something bad. That's why they deserve to be in the trap. Like, I don't remember a lot of there. Okay. You know what? You're actually right. That lady, she was put in there because she was, she was getting close to catching the killer. So she was. So he put her in there as a fuck you. But like Jigsaw did not like that. He was like, you shouldn't be putting people that don't. Yes. That's why I always say that's the one where like it's like you went too far. She did get it right. Yeah. Oh my god. There's also another one. The internet says that Joyce Dagen was, she had no criminal record, did no moral wrong and was completely innocent. She was punished for someone else's lie. Her husband Bobby told the public that he falsely claimed that he was a Jigsaw survivor to get rich. Yes. Yes. He, like the wife was like, there's no reason for it to be there. Yeah. Did she have it? Wait, she did know, though. Didn't she know? I don't remember. I don't think I ever saw it. If she knew accessory, but yes, she was, she had no way to actually free herself. And she was burned alive while the husband helplessly watched and failed a self mutilation test to save her. And Matt remember when I was like, oh my gosh, I should make like a Christmas themed like this movie. I feel like that'd be so good. That would be good. Like surrounding it. Like the Christmas holiday, like I saw mommy kissing Santa Claus. Oh, yeah, cheating. No, that would be terrible. To be put into her after cheating. Oh, that's terrible. That was don't let the review scare you. That's good. That was fun. I want to do this again. Yeah. I really like that. So shout out to Muriel for that suggestion. I like it. Muriel. Thanks, girl. We did pretty good. Yeah. We very good. You put all the movie, our favorite movies. Yeah. I had to see like where the, how easy or hard it would be. Yeah. You know, those fun did it. All right, Matt, I get why you're on there. It's fun. It is fun. No, it's the best like after a movie, just seeing like all the jokes because like the top ones are usually jokes. I don't really write jokes. I just write. Yeah. Does a letter bot like do they get to pin any like this is a good one. They pin it to the top. I think it's all like crowd votes system. So yeah. But if you write one that's like really funny, you can pin it on your profile and stuff too. Yeah. Like I think one of the ones from obsession had like 165,000 likes on it. Like my top one is I think for that movie bones and all. Do you remember like Timothy Chalamet and he like in the girl from escape room? You were a kid. I wonder if you would mind was when Harry ate Sally. Like that's good. Just a quick little like joke thing and it got like. Yeah.
Yeah, you went a little viral on there. There are people who are like famous on litter box. That's crazy. Oh, I don't even know what they look like. Oh, so there are probably all the ones that get invited to the premieres of movies. Yeah, I think so. Yeah, because when there's always like, can happening, you'll see them like, their reviews like lock in very early and you're like, how do they, how are they seeing that? Oh, they're at can. I always, anytime I met a premier, I look at every one because normally like, like influencers or like content creators, they usually, they usually have like a row or two and you notice that they're all like together. And then I always look around, I'm like, who the fuck is in this theater? Like, you know, productions in here probably, you know, like the cat, like, you know, whatever. But like critics, who else are there? They have no pad and they're just like, right notes and stuff. They're right notes. Or they have like a little keyboard with them that they're just like typing thoughts down. Do they invite production to those premieres? Sometimes they have like separate production premieres. Oh, like a little screening for just the, yeah, that makes sense. The actors definitely watch a movie before the premiere, right? They get to see the movie before it goes out. Sometimes, sometimes some actors like refuse to watch themselves. Like Adam Driver, like will not watch like. Oh my God. You see me? I would want to watch it just to make sure that they have the best scenes. Yeah. So you're that type of person. You're like Dustin Hoffman. Dustin Hoffman was known to be notorious about like sitting in with the editors to the point driving them. That's where they're like, you have to go because you're slowing down our process because you would be so, OCD be like, no, get that take. That's the take. And then actually, no, make this take. I look better in this one or not. I sound better. The line better. I like the thing is, I think that there are people out there that truly have a talent of like knowing what scene is the best and whether it's their own or other people. There's times where I'm watching a movie and I'm like, that was not a good take. They had to have something better than that. That was not a good take. And like, I'm not, I'm not a fucking cast. Like, I'm not an actor myself, but like, I know what a bad fucking take is. Yeah. And that was bad. And it'll be big movies too. And then like, my head was like, I feel like nobody saw this in the editing room. There's no way they saw it or like, just the best take we have. I was like, I know there was a better take in there. Give me the fucking raw footage. I can give you a better take right now. You be a good director. I would love, like, I would love to like just be, I wish I was part of a movie, even if it's like a bad movie. I just want to be a part of a whole beginning to end of a movie and see how close I can get to it to being good. I just want to shout out to a friend who's making a movie like, hey, can I just feel like shadow you guys like making it just come on set and just watch how it's like done? It's really tough when it, when it comes down to I need to like find a friend to be a part of something. I'm like, I don't fucking know anybody. Just put yourself out there. What do you do? That's so interesting. Do I, do I make a, do I make a post maybe, just go to parties and ask people what they do. You live in Hollywood. Do you live it? Everyone's making movies out here. I don't go out. I don't go out. But you know, no, I mean, I should be going on more, man, it's, it's, it's really, like, I barely go out these days. No, I get it. I do not leave my fucking house. My little sister, these past days, she's gone out and met more of my friends in the two weeks than me just stealing all my fucking friends. All right. Should we land this plane? The discussion highlights how people use memory tricks—like associating words with imagery or actions—to remember things, such as vocabulary or anime characters, making learning more engaging.
A deep dive into cultural nostalgia and regional examples, like the existence of multiple "Lake Placid" locations or shared names across countries, reveals how geography and naming can be confusing or surprising.
