Royal biography Tom Bauer says Prince Harry could in theory find a route back into the Royal Fold, but only if he came back alone. Speaking on the Royalist podcast, Bauer argued there may be a world in which Harry could be given a role and brought back into the institution that said that idea falls apart as long as Meghan remains in the picture. Bauer, whose book Betrayal Powered A Seat in the Fight for the Future of the Royal Family, has already stirred controversy, has long taken a hard line on the Sussexes. From the podcast, host Tom Sykes raised the argument also floated by Tina Brown. The Royal Family might be better off bringing Harry and Meghan back into a limited international role rather than keeping them at arm's length. Bauer was blunt. I think Harry would like that solution, but Meghan definitely would not want to live in London. She doesn't want to be part of Britain. She wants to be a star in California. So I think that as long as they're married, this is a completely untenable solution. Bauer also said, "It's only a recipe for more and more sensational danger because Meghan would always look for a way to complain. She can't be satisfied. She can't. She doesn't want to be part of the British Royal Family." He went on to suggest that even if some kind of return were attempted, the British public would not be receptive. Referring to Tina Brown's view, Bauer said she did not fully grasp the mood in Britain adding, "Even if she groveled, they'd feel, 'Well, you're not groveling enough. They're really angry with her, so I don't believe that is the solution.' Whatever you do with the Sussexes, you couldn't rely on them to be discreet and silent and obedient for very long because of what their own needs. Selfishness in the end would trump everything that the Windsors might offer them and that is the problem. There's no easy solution if there is a solution at all." The trouble really is that both King Charles and Prince William haven't found a way to neutralize the danger, and I don't know if there is a way. That's the problem. Radar Online reported the Prince Harry and Meghan Markle appeared to have a tense exchange during the recent trip to Jordan with the outlet suggesting the moment reflected deeper strain behind the scenes. The couple had travelled to the country for a two-day visit focused on global health and humanitarian work, including an appearance at the Zatar-Ry refugee camp near Amman and a discussion forum hosted by the World Health Organization. According to the report, one insider claimed that during a football activity at the youth centre, the pair exchanged a few sharp words. For a brief moment, Harry and Meghan exchanged intense words, the source said whether it was the busy 48 hour schedule or another matter can't be known, but the exchange raised eyebrows. A representative for the Sussex denied there was any confrontation during the trip or any trouble in the marriage. Still, the report claims Meghan quickly shifted back into public facing mode. After the moment with one source alleging, this was Meghan's show Harry looked as if it was just a long for the ride. The radar also suggests Meghan used the trip to strengthen international connections, particularly during the "who event," where the report says she was speaking with the United Nations representatives. One source claimed Meghan has long had ambitions in that direction saying there were several UN representatives at the "who forum" and she seemed keen to network, so she wasn't going to let any personal issues get in the way. In the eye paper, James Ball writes, "Bredusing in Netflix drama about Polo was hardly a clean break from British aristocracy." He tells us, "It doesn't necessarily feel like television or even entertainment is truly their route to happiness. They certainly seem to have struggled to make audiences happy." With Love Meghan, the lifestyle show the couple made for Netflix was supposed to be about the joys of homey domesticity, but guest segments often looked like hostage videos. When the show wasn't actually painful to watch, it was painfully boring. Harry's biggest contribution to the couple's old Netflix deal, apart from his Invictus game series, was a documentary about Polo in which he barely featured and which sunk without a trace. Despite this Netflix and the Sussexes alike are returning to the world of Polo, this time is a drama which the former royals will executive produce. Is this what starting a fresh looks like, though, really? This whole phase of Harry and Meghan's life was supposed to be about carving out an income and an identity free of the British royal family. Polo is never going to mark a clean break from the British aristocracy, even if the show is somehow a triumph. Heated rivalry, after all, showed audiences combined to TV dramas about sports they know and cared nothing of if the plot is right. But even if this show somehow breaks the trend of the Sussexes sub-part television run, it isn't going to do anything to carve out an independent identity for them. Polo is the stuff of Windsor, not Muntacito. The Sussexes are rapidly getting caught in the same trap that seems to catch anyone, cut a drift of the British royal family. Buckingham Palace has announced a series of God and parties to be held this summer at both Buckingham Palace and the Palace of Hollywood House. Three events are scheduled to take place in London with a fourth to be held in Edinburgh. The parties are intended to recognise frontline workers from across the UK, with the first event of the season placing particular emphasis on their contribution. The gatherings will celebrate individuals who serve their communities through volunteering, charitable work and roles in the emergency services. The London Garden parties are set to take place on May 6th and 12th, while the event at Palace of Hollywood House in Edinburgh will be held on June 30th. In addition to the main events to theme garden parties will also take place over the summer. One will mark the 50th anniversary of the King's Trust, while the other will be the annual Not Forgotten Association Garden Party, both hosted at Buckingham Palace, details which members of the Royal Family will attend are expected to be confirmed on the day of each event. The announcement comes amid reports that Princess' Beatrice and Eugini may not attend Royal Ascot this year, one source said, "I've spoken to my friend who works at Ascot and they said the goals have been told they can't be there this year." Beatrice has taken it the hardest. She's been completely blindsided by all of this. A separate source added, "Ascot is out of the question and claimed the royals have been told they can't be photographed with the girls for the rest of the year." The King is facing criticism from some commentators after a series of Royal honours were revoked prompting debate about the value of the system. According to notices published in the UK's official public record, the Gazette, the King has ordered the removal of several honours from recipients of the Order of the British Empire in recent weeks. Such removals typically occur when recipients have been convicted of crimes found guilty of misconduct or discipline by professional regulators. Among those stripped of an honour is former Scotland rugby player Stuart Hogg, whose NBE was revoked after he admitted to abusive behaviour towards his estranged wife, Gillian. The former notice states, "The King has directed that the appointment of Stuart William Hogg to be a member of the Civil Division of the Most Excellent Order of the British Empire, dated 30th December 2023. Shelby cancelled and annulled, and that his name shall be erased from the register of the said order." Hogue had received the honour of the 2024 New Year's Honours for Services 2 Rugby, they previously played for Glasgow Warriors and more than 100 caps for Scotland and toured three times with the British and Irish Lions. Several other individuals have also had their honours removed, following criminal convictions or disciplinary rulings. Ian Ashbold, who received an MBE in 2016, lost the award after a criminal conviction, Lloyd Hamilton, awarded an MBE in 2011, also had his honour revoked following a conviction. Angela Middleton's 2019 MBE was a knowed after officials concluded she had brought the honours system into disrepute. Nigel O'Connor, who received an MBE in 2015 and Tony Riley awarded an OBE in 2011 both lost their honours following professional censure, Paul Allen Rose found her a barrows our sanctuary in Cumbria had his MBE removed after he was convicted of animal welfare offenses. Rose was sentenced in May 2024 after pleading guilty to two counts of causing unnecessary suffering to a protected animal and one count of failing to ensure animal welfare under the Animal Welfare Act. Other recipients whose honours were revoked included a nut, a Shah who had received an OBE in 2020 and Graham True Heller, who had been awarded an MBE in 2010 both lost their distinctions after findings that they conducted brought the honours system into disrepute. Some royal observers say the number of removals has sparked discussion about the meaning and value of such awards, one source familiar with the honours system said, "When you see this many titles being cancelled in such a short time, it inevitably leads some people to us whether the whole system begins to look a bit meaningless."
