I'm in a Best Ball Mania draft, and I'm threatening to take Mike Washington at 106.
My name's Pete Overzet.
This is Best Ball Breakfast.
We have four straight hours of drafts.
Buckle up.
Welcome to Hot Best Ball Summer.
You slurp that suspension dipperino, honey.
Easy to click on Rashad White's when it's all site credits.
Exodia.
Put the puppy in the bag, bro.
I'm trying to grow the goddamn game.
The game is beatable, folks.
Slap King Summer, bitches.
7,000 hours of commercial-free Best Ball drafts starts now.
GM, GM, GM, how are we doing?
Best Ball Breakfast decided to jump in one right here off the rip.
Got to capitalize on all of the changing ADPs.
I'll never forget where I was when I went to bed last night
under the assumption that Ashton Jenner was going to win.
Ashton Jenner was not only probably done for the year,
but his career might have been over.
And then I wake up to the wonderful, glorious news
that it was just a high ankle sprain.
Just a little boo-boo.
Just a little boo-boo for Ashton Jenner.
I was watching my guy Rambis cry on camera
about a guy he's been taking over, Jameer Gibbs,
potentially being out for the year.
What a rollercoaster of emotions.
But let's lock in.
We'll see where guys are going on this fine morning.
I got the 106 in my 124th Best Ball Mania draft.
Are we worried about CMC these days?
Are we worried about CMC?
Who have I been trying to get more of?
Who have I been trying to get?
I've been trying to get a little more Amin Ra, a little more JT.
Let's do JT here at six.
I did a few high-stakes drafts over the weekend in Vegas.
I got CMC at 111 in one of those, full-point PPR.
People are definitely worried about CMC these days.
GMs, GMs, GMs all around.
Yeah, people also talking about the Sean Watson news.
He was being very emotional over the weekend.
He was sad that the Cleveland Browns were booing him.
And it apparently worked.
The psychological warfare of playing the victim mentality worked
because the Browns have named Deshaun Watson,
their QB1.
He will start the season as the quarterback for the Cleveland Browns.
So there you go.
For all of your eliminator slow drafts that you're still in,
you can start taking Deshaun Watson in round 18.
How are we doing today, everybody?
How are we doing?
I saw a lot of panic.
There was a lot of fear that you can't draft Best Ball Mania teams anymore
because someone got Ashton Genting in the first round.
In the fifth round.
It's sad.
I can't believe I even fired up this stream to do the drafts.
The contest is over.
Can't play the Powerball because someone knows one of the numbers.
Sorry.
It's over.
It's Jover.
Isn't it just completely offset?
Anyone who was taking Mike Washington in the fifth round,
those teams are just as dead as the Genting super teams are super.
What do we got going in this room here?
AJ Brown going at the 12-13 here.
Got to pull it up.
Got to get your unique combos.
Bowers goes at 17.
Chase Brown comes off the board.
Genting's here.
Yeah, Genting's going to fall a little bit.
I've been trying to get a little bit more Hampton.
I'm really light Hampton.
I'm not even up to an exposure blanket.
I'm at 2.8% here.
Let me see what I am.
I am in just Best Ball Mania on Hampton.
2.5%.
So we'll start Jonathan Taylor in Hampton here.
I was listening to Sean Siegel and Ben Gretsch do their annual exercise
of predicting round one and two next year for 2027 drafts.
And they're both very high on Hampton.
I'm very impressionable when Sean and Gretsch speak.
So it's hard not to.
Maybe think, all right, maybe I'm not thinking through this Hampton thing as well as I should.
So we'll take him here at 19 with Jonathan Taylor.
It is a slightly different exercise too, right?
Because you can see the idea of like, it would not shock me to have Hampton have a year where
he maybe doesn't fully pay off this cost.
Both him and Keaton Mitchell perform well.
And the offense is just so.
So good that the enthusiasm for a guy like Hampton heading into year three with this offense
does push him into the first round.
So it's not a quite one for one as far as what we're trying to do in these contests.
Like I can, I can very much see scenarios where Hampton is a low advance rate player
just because of all the heavy hitters that go around him in round two.
And yet he could still finish the season very strong.
He could still be a consensus round one pick.
Next year, Jonathan Taylor, Omarian Hampton to start this draft is ripping.
I've been doing a ton of Trey McBride in the third, and I think I'm going to keep that
up.
I have 12.6% McBride here.
I just don't think he should be going this late, even mid third here.
I do like Devante Smith as the other potential option here, but we're going to start with
Trey McBride.
I kind of think this is the GTO start right now in these Jonathan Taylor, Omarian Hampton.
And then you get Trey McBride in the middle of the third, who should probably be a middle
of round two pick.
Yeah.
People talking about the, uh, the offensive line injury there for the chargers.
I mean, you can't, you're not going to drop someone a full round because of that.
I mean, the commanders lost Tunsell.
We're not dropping.
I mean, McLaurin and Jaden Daniels and bill a full round because of it.
How was Vegas?
Vegas was great, man.
It was a fun time.
Yeah.
It was this draft nation event.
They're trying to make, make it an annual fantasy football holiday, or I shouldn't say
trying.
They did.
The mayor of Las Vegas was there cutting a ribbon, but I had lots of fun.
Got to hang out with some guys from Roto world, like Roto, Pat and Kyle, the board check.
Of course, the fantasy life crew, Dwayne and Kendall are producers.
Our producer swing and Friedman got to hang out with a lot of fun.
People interviewed Austin Eckler, chatted it up with Tom Everett.
Scott did a little pool party, some dunk tank, some drafts.
It was a good time.
I think I do need a coffee pour though.
I am still on Vegas time right now.
I had my alarm go off when.
It normally does this morning and it was certainly on Vegas time and I am struggling.
So let's get some coffee.
We do have our vassal arrows and son's coffee and good news today, guys.
We do have two more coffee giveaways here.
You can always get 25% off your first order of vassal arrows and son's coffee.
That link is down below.
And I certainly need it this morning.
I'm going to go ahead and get my coffee.
be Dwayne Chaperone. Dwayne ran up a really nice blackjack stack, and I was like, bro,
take some chips off the table. Take some chips off the table. I only lost a little bit playing
crap, so that was a win. All right, this is for the people. No, I'm not taking Christian Watson.
Just kidding. What do we want to do here? Devontae Adams, DJ Moore, Christian Watson.
We'll keep doing the Christian Watson thing. Devontae Adams, I have 14.9%. Christian Watson,
I'm at 9.4%. There was that report going around where McVay, I guess, was interested in A.J.
Brown this offseason when he became available, and then they said they got spooked, I think,
by the medicals on A.J. Brown, and then to cope his way through it, Sean McVay went back and
re-watched the Devontae Adams tape and said, I have to go. I'm going to go. I'm going to go.
I actually have some new, interesting ways to use Devontae Adams. I love that. Devontae Adams
has been in the league since 2014. There's about as much tape as you could ever have on Devontae
Adams, but Sean McVay's like, I uncovered a new way to use him, so I don't need A.J. Brown.
I don't know about that, but I have enough Devontae Adams. I think I'm good. I think I'm good.
What's my
crap strategy? To bet the pass line, occasionally press, tail people on their one-off numbers,
and get free drinks. That's my crap strategy. I'm not a crap shark, but I do love the communal
aspect of it. Is this a heart of hearts draft? Not quite. I do think we're going to do that
on ship chasing maybe next week. Davis wanted to do the heart of hearts draft, so we'll do
something like that, but I will. I'll let my heart guide me. I'll let my heart guide me here.
Is Dwayne as good at cards as he is at game theory analytics? No,
not from my experience. I was having to tell him basic blackjack strategy.
No, I told him he should stick to utilization.
Can we get a rundown of Kurt Rambis' last 24 hours? I mean, I retweeted his post. The man was
quite literally crying on the timeline. I will say, shout out Rambis, though, for establishing
Jenty as that large.
Part of his personal brand, right? The fact that I immediately thought of Rambis when I saw the
Jenty news, that's pretty impressive for him. Does anybody want to take Lamar Jackson? All right,
there he finally goes. There he finally goes. Lamar Jackson goes pick 65 here after Carnell
Tate, after Brian Thomas, after Roma Dunzay, after Rico Dowdle. I am back on the clock here.
We could do quarterback stuff. I think with Ted Arroyo, we could do some backdoor,
I do keep pulling up Ramondre here, and I think I'll just keep that as my move.
I get shit for not standing for anything. I'm up almost to what? 18.2% Ramondre.
We'll get him here at pick 67, a few spots ahead of ADP. So we go Jonathan Taylor,
Omarian Hampton, Trey McBride, Ted Arroyo, McMillan, Christian Watson, Ramondre.
I could have done Marvin Harrison, but you want my heart of hearts? I feel nothing when I see
Marvin Harrison's name. Just absolutely nothing.
Ramondre, though, I still think there's a little meat on the bone.
What's the 12-hole doing here? Jalen Warren, Rico Dowdle, double tap.
Interesting. Don't know if I like that. Now we're getting crap strategy. Min pass line, max odds, bet six and eight,
and half press each time. Bet field. There you go.
There you go.
Did I eat anywhere you recommend in Vegas? We went, I mean, we basically were at the
Circa for most of the time. So I ate at the Asian place in there. I think it's called Eight East. I
had a really good brisket fried rice. That was super good. Some bao buns. And then we went to
the Steakhouse in Circa on Thursday night. That was really good as well. Keyshawn Johnson
was hanging out at the bar at the Circa Steakhouse we were at. I forget the name of it. It's whatever's
on the bottom floor of Circa. There you go. Those are the two I went to. Barry's in Eight East.
Thank you, McNova.
All right. Jonathan Taylor, Omari in Hampton, Trey McBride,
Ted Arroyo-McMillan, Christian Watson, Ramondre Stevenson. Back on the clock here.
You know what I haven't done? I have not done a lot of Herbert without a lad.
Why don't I just pull up Herbert or do I want to get a receiver here? We could go double.
I'm going to stick with Herbert here for a second. I'm going to do a Herbert Hampton team.
I believe I don't have, do I have any of those? Let's find out here via the
solver. Okay. I have a couple Herbert Hampton teams, but almost all of them, I guarantee have
Ladd McConkie on them. So we grab Herbert as our first quarterback. Herbert, Jonathan Taylor,
Omari in Hampton, Ramondre, Ted Arroyo, Christian Watson, Trey McBride.
No, Keyshawn Johnson was. Keyshawn Johnson was just having a very normal meal from what I could tell.
What was I drinking in Vegas? Top shit shelf or railing it? I drank a lot of margaritas and
other than that, some Modellos. I played the hits. The event was sponsored by Mike's Hard Lemonade,
but don't tell them I did not partake.
Kyle Pitts going at pick 84. This drafter out of the 12, they're living a little. They're living a
little for sure. We are going to have the full lineup today. We'll have Levitan come on at 11,
Sam Sherman back in the saddle at noon, Corain at one Eastern.
Pete likes little flowers in his drinks. I wouldn't say I like them, but I don't question my
masculinity when there's a flower in my drink. I'll tell you that much, brother.
Oh, I do have to see this Q video. Leone tipped me off that this was coming.
Is it QAnon? Is that the one that got posted?
What's my reaction to Jinxy's reaction to my reaction to Jinxy's reaction to Sammy's reaction?
Oh my goodness. I could not sleep last night because of the Flock League drama. I could not sleep.
I think I'm fine being back in on Lemon in this range. Things seem to be trending well for him.
Pick 91. I mean, this is a far cry from where we were having to draft him a couple of weeks ago
at the 6-7 turn. I'll grab Lemon as my wide receiver three here at pick 91.
Trevor, do you have any idea when the underdog masterclass updates will go live? Very good
question. We are in the process of drafting those. It is on me to now do some proofreading,
some editing, but I would say the majority of the work has been done, but soon, Trevor.
I have a lot of shit to get done in the next 10 or so days. We got to work on Best Ball Bros video.
We got to get the underdog masterclass updates. I'm going to have an announcement
about a fun guillotine league that I'm hosting with Tony Squares. We got to get that going.
We're going to have a draft for that. We got a bunch of high-stakes drafts over on Ship Chasing.
Tomorrow night, the ADP Chasing crew is drafting their FFPC main event. On Thursday,
we're drafting with Crack Rock. There's a lot going on right now, but I appreciate it, Trevor.
We will get you those updates. I promise. I promise.
How many of my drafts have a stack of three or more?
Uh, just guessing, I would say three or more. Like, you mean all three quarterbacks stacked up?
I mean, I don't know. Let's say 60% of my teams are three quarterbacks,
and the majority of those would be stacked up. I'll say 40% of my drafts.
That's my back of the napkin math there.
All right. We have Justin Herbert, three running backs, three wide receivers,
and Trey McBride. Jordan Tyson does go here at 101. I'm,
I'm going to go ahead and grab Xavier Worthy as my fourth wide receiver here.
Kind of ignored wide receiver for the most part in this draft, so trying to catch up a bit.
Jonathan Taylor, Hampton McBride. Then we do grab Ted Arroy, McMillan, and Christian Watson.
Come back, come back, come back and grab Ramondre in the sixth. Herbert in the seventh.
Lemon in the eighth. Worthy in the ninth.
I like this. Michael says, we appreciate all your work, but bro,
this team is as boring as going for a colonoscopy.
I'm sorry.
What do you want me to do?
You want me to take Mike Washington right now
to spice it up?
Go draft fucking wild teams on your own account, brother.
What do I need to do to spice up this team?
I'm so sorry.
Ted Arroyo, McMillan, Christian Watson.
Is it Mackay Lemon and Xavier Worthy?
I mean, most people don't like those picks.
You tell me what I can do to make this draft
more interesting for you, brother.
I'm here to help.
OG Man says, is there a strategy video
with you or the Badge Bros for the first quarter contest?
You know what?
There isn't, but now that you say it,
we should do that tomorrow on Off and On the Clock.
What do you think, John and Nez?
Should we do first quarter contest?
I like that.
Let's do that.
Most entertaining thing I saw in Las Vegas.
It was very fun to watch Tom Everett Scott
and people do the dunk tank.
I got in the dunk tank there for a while.
I think that was my first time ever being in a dunk tank.
But yeah, they rented out the Circa Swim area,
open bar, had the dunk tank going.
It was a fun time.
Patrick Mahomes doesn't come back to me.
Dejon Stripling goes at 113.
I would have liked KC Concepcion there.
I'm not feeling much of anything here,
so I'm just going to go ahead and grab Jordan Love,
a drafter behind me, has no quarterbacks here.
Let's just get my stacks with Love and Watson.
We'll get Herbert and Hampton here.
Stripling 113, Concepcion 114.
114.
Big debate on ADP chasing of how high up can you take Stripling.
And KC Concepcion was kind of the spiritual line
that you can't cross with the Stribler.
And yet, maybe not anymore.
After another preseason game of him shattering preseason targets
per route run records.
He was going really high in the drafts,
the managed leagues drafts over the weekend,
sixth, seventh round.
I don't know if he's going to be able to do that.
Was that the first time at Stadium Swim?
No, I had been, it was a few years ago.
I always remember it because it was that the first game
that Barkley was on the Eagles
and they played the Packers in Brazil.
And we went over there.
We went over there after some ship chasing drafts.
And that was the moment we realized that Barkley
was going to shove it down our throats for an entire season.
But yes, that was my first time at Stadium Swim.
Then this was my second time.
It is an awesome setup over there.
I'm pretty jaded at this point with Vegas,
but Stadium Swim is a good time.
Man, even just having not drafted on underdog for a week,
the landscape feels different.
Um, do we want to get another running back here?
Rashad White is a little bit of a slurp.
The dipper Reno.
We can do Rashad White.
It's probably Rashad White or grabbing one of these receivers,
but the receiving tier looks kind of flat here.
So we'll grab Rashad White as our fourth running back.
And I'm not going to beat the accusations of drafting a boring team
after selecting Rashad White.
Justin Herbert, Jordan Love,
Jonathan Taylor,
Amarion Hampton,
Ramondre Stevenson,
Rashad White,
Ted Arroyo McMillan,
Christian Watson,
Makai Lemon,
Xavier Worthy,
Trey McBride at tight end.
Let's get a coffee giveaway going though.
I got two more.
Uh,
I have two more promo codes to give out for a 12 ounce bag of
Vassilaros and Sons coffee.
Let's do hashtag boring.
Hashtag boring in the chat.
We'll spin the wheel.
We'll hear in a little bit and give away some coffee.
Uh,
I generally agree with this from C Crowder.
As wild as ADPs are changing,
feels fine reaching for players and getting your guys right now.
Yeah.
Especially with the late round guys,
right?
I think you can argue about it with the premium picks top 100 picks.
But if you're talking about pulling up a guy with a one 90 ADP up to one 50,
it doesn't really matter.
Doesn't really matter.
Two,
four,
four,
one here for me.
We're going to have to start grabbing some wide receivers here.
Potentially
some good running back picks now kind of emerging in this range.
It looks like the Mike Washington ADP is going to be a good one.
He has already snapped up accordingly up to one 50 here.
I actually think he's pretty in play even around this range at one 40.
Wide receiver is kind of getting wiped here a little bit.
Who do I like here?
I also really like Jonah Coleman.
I like Marshawn Lloyd on this team as well.
I'm going to pull up Marshawn Lloyd just cause I have this Jordan love stack
and I prefer him.
I prefer him here.
We're just going to have to do damage at wide receiver down the stretch
because this tier got a little cleaned out.
I was looking at Coker,
Shakir,
Samuel Shahid and Boston and all of them went before this next pick.
So we'll just grab another running back here.
I am kind of surprised Mike Washington isn't off the board now.
Here's the,
here's the thing about the Mike Washington stuff.
Even just separate,
anything that happened yesterday with Gentee,
let's just assume no ankle injury,
nothing.
I think with the clarity we were getting on Mike Washington as the RB two in
that offense and just how well he's looked in the preseason,
really explosive kind of the thesis of the Mike Washington play as an Isaac
Garendo type kind of hitting,
you can make the case that that guy should be going in the one 50 range
anyways,
right?
As part of that clear handcuffed tier as a one for one replacement,
and now you're going to free roll.
You're going to free roll Gentee potentially missing time at the start of
the season.
I know we're all relieved that Gentee isn't out for the season with a torn
ACL,
but if it's a high ankle sprain,
I mean,
this could be a month.
It could be a six week thing,
right?
They could really slow play it,
especially if they're feeling good about Mike Washington.
So I think at this price,
when he's still not off the board,
I will take Mike Washington at one 50 here.
If he's here,
even though I need wide receiver,
it's just a fucking prove a point.
There he goes at one 45.
That's a good price.
That's a good price for Mike Washington.
I do think you can make the case that people are underreacting to Gentee right
now at pick 20.
He's probably more of a mid third round pick along the Jeremiah love
Brees hall range.
And I think we're probably underreacting to Mike Washington at one 45.
I mean that that's fine.
But if someone pulled him up in here to the 12th round,
I wouldn't think that was crazy.
This is definitely a spot to get Trey Harris.
I have Justin Herbert.
I've been wanting to get more Trey Harris only at five and a half percent need
more wide receivers.
Let's get Trey Harris here stacked up with Herbert.
So a couple of correlated picks here in the 12th and 13th round Lloyd with,
with love Trey Harris with Herbert.
Keep the hashtag borings coming here for the coffee.
I'll spin in a second.
Blizzy,
where do you think Kittle goes?
Kittle gets by close.
You know what?
I I've been anticipating steam for Kittle for a long time now.
I mean,
we've gotten the same steady drum B of positive news,
but people are just too scared.
He's 33,
bro.
He's 33.
How's he ever going to be able to score points again?
I don't think the Kittle steam's coming.
I think people are just naturally scared of George Kittle.
And it also is coupled with the fact that there's good tight end values
everywhere.
So you don't have to take George Kittle.
He goes one 10 here.
I don't,
I would be surprised if his ADP settles in the double digits.
I think he'll still,
even if he inches up a bit,
he's probably not going to flip.
He's certainly not going to flip Laporta.
I guess he could flip fan.
And I don't really think Kittle steam is coming.
I mean,
they've been telling us he's live to play week one or week two,
this entire off season.
So I don't know what's going to change the Kittle stuff at this point.
They can,
they can say he's going to play week one and people have been,
they can still be like,
okay,
well he's 33 coming off a major injury.
What if,
what if his,
what if he,
what if he gets a cramp on the 18 hour flight to Australia?
People love making excuses for why they can't draft George Kittle.
They love it.
Let's see here.
I probably don't need to do a Bryce young here.
Even he continues to fall.
I have Ted Arroyo.
Is there anything else I need to do here?
I probably need to grab another wide receiver.
I've been trying to get more, I could get some more Cyrus
Allen I could do Cyrus Allen and Xavier Worthy let's do some Cyrus Allen here that's an example
of like I was not clicking a lot of Cyrus Allen you know when the initial buzz was hitting I was
pretty skeptical you know this is what the Chiefs do they showcase these rookie wide receivers and
then they put them on the shelf but I think in addition to how well he's looked I do think the
outs are there especially if you're going to be a Rashi Rice fader like I am you got to capitalize
on it somehow and I want to capitalize on it with a little bit more Cyrus Allen
so catching up at wide receiver a bit I'll need to grab some tight ends here but I do
have Trey McBride late this team has Charlie fucking Kolar written all over it all over it
Justin Herbert Jordan Love at quarterback Jonathan Taylor Omari and Hampton Ramondre
Stevenson Rashad White Marshawn Lloyd at running back Ted Roy McMillan Christian Watson
Mekhi Lemon Xavier Worthy Trey Harris Cyrus Allen at wide receiver and Trey McBride at tight end
we have four more picks I'll take Bryce Young here if he comes back
we could add on a little Darren Waller on this squad potentially oh there goes Bryce Young
I can't I can't be upset to lose Bryce Young this is probably grabbing another
tight end here AJ Barner seems fine I do like Sadiq
as well should we do Sadiq let me do my heart of hearts my heart of hearts is that
uh Kenyon Sadiq should not be going this late
I'm gonna pair Trey McBride with Kenyon Sadiq there's a heart of heart to pick for you
all right let's spin again here 71 entries Vassaleros and Sons Coffee
if you win shoot me a message and I will get you a promo code and then you just go to Vassaleros
and Sons Coffee
Jack Ryan Jack.Ryan3693 congratulations you sir have just won a free bag of Vassaleros and
Sons Coffee it's delicious feel free to pick out whatever variety you like I've been rocking the
classic roast but I'm excited to try out some of the other ones there
so
Kyle says Kittle has
mooned six spots of ADP in both BBM and a limb even though Schefter has a tweet scheduled every
day about Kittle ready week one I know they uh they're not buying it it's moved to the point
of white noise I swear to god if we had zero updates about Kittle and then there was one
positive update his ADP probably would move more than the steady trickle of things are good bro
things are good things are good three more picks I think someone was asking
is this a two quarterback team yeah at this point I was gonna I was gonna slurp uh a Bryce Young
dipperino there I actually like this price on Mendoza but I don't I don't need to take uh
unstacked Mendoza I'm completely fine with a Herbert Jordan love squad
Jaden Blue that's another name people are a little bit worried
about the Malik Davis stuff him not quite being the clean contingent bet you wanted but I don't
really think anything's changed I mean we've talked through it all summer the the Jaden Blue
selling point is a bit of a standalone role as the pass catcher mixing some explosive plays
um I actually could do a Gino if I end up wanting to do a third
quarterback but this is probably another spot I've been playing this no I actually want to
talk about this so early on in the offseason I had way too much fucking tank Dell like that
was an issue off the rip this tank Dell stuff sounds very ominous
like I don't know if you guys have been following this but they he still is not practicing in any
full capacity when you listen to the beats you know who is it Aaron Wilson and some of these guys
uh they like this quote even just from last week is with tank he's on his own plan
didn't play in the preseason limited to these individual drills I'm starting to get worried
that this tank Dell optimism was all a fugazi and now we have Jaden Higgins out for the season
I'm not doing the Xavier Hutchinson stuff he will be a problem Xavier Hutchinson is an
eliminator ass pick he's a week one DFS 3k ass pick I get there's a there's a time and a place
for Xavier Hutchinson that time and place isn't on my best ball mania teams
but Jalen Knoll the the path is starting to get cleared for Jalen Knoll to play significant
playing time this season so yeah I'm going to start clicking some Jalen Knoll
I need more I need more than five and a half percent
Gino Smith goes
what other wide receiver should I start spamming back here
my take is get more Niko Niko's already gonna get all the work he can get brother
who do I want here
oh do I just play the hits and take
Jeremy Bernard no let's just do the Charlie Kohler thing why we why we have I mean we got
to do the Charlie Kohler thing on a Herbert I mean come on of course we have to this is where
I get the comment every single time you took three tight ends with Trey McBride yes I did
because one of them is the greatest tight end to ever grace this planet Charlie Kohler
Justin Herbert Jordan Love Jonathan Taylor Omarian Hampton Ramondre Stevenson Rashad White
Marshawn Lloyd Ted Arroyo McMillan Christian Watson Makai Lemon Xavier Worthy Trey Harris
Cyrus Allen Jalen Knoll Trey McBride Kenyon Sadiq Charlie Kohler let's find another wide
receiver to draft what's the fanciest zero
we could take who's another guy Sean was getting Sean Sean snuck in just this insane comment about
Malik Benson one of you was drafting Malik Benson on best ball breakfast a couple weeks ago and I
learned that name round 18 really does suck right now
Jeremy Bernard I might just take Jeremy Bernard for the millionth time if you make me I'm gonna
put him in the queue and I'm gonna I'm gonna dare you to take him
yeah there's no more there's no one fun anymore I'm gonna put Malik Benson in the queue
I know Nick I'm telling you the Malik Benson Malik Benson could be our generation Cyrus Allen
the buzz feels fake until it's not
short king summer Greg Dorch I think I'm good
I think I'm good on that
even staring at 1.1 percent Isaac Tesla feels like too much
who kept his ADP up there all summer who kept it up there who did that
Tyquan Thornton's still a good pick but I'm probably not going to do it on a Xavier Worthy
Cyrus Allen team without Patrick Mahomes Bateman's what is Bateman going to jail what's the latest
here facing charges after June incident
Philip would it be silly to draft Washington on gentee teams and slow drafts or is that too cute
I mean if you were getting old Mike Washington prices like if you're on the clock in the 18th
round and Mike Washington's there let's mix it up I take Jeremy Bernard on every team let's let's
take a fancy zero let's take Malik Benson here to wrap this up but uh Philip yeah I mean I would
certainly not be reaching at pick 130 or 140 for Mike Washington but if you're getting an insane
deal on what his true value is then I'm less concerned about having two running backs on the
same team like if you agree with my thesis that Mike Washington should be valued around 140 135
right now and you're in a slow draft even where you have gentee
and you're getting that 170 180 that's enough of a value windfall
to offset the handcuffing stigma that permeates our best ball society
all right this team is in the books shout out Pat Moore Poker Tim Godd 99 on becoming
YouTube members you guys will get access to the bash on Thursday
as well as after the game so I'll see you guys on Thursday
after dark episodes I didn't have an after dark this last week because I was traveling
but I have a couple good guests that I'm lining up I'll announce those soon
if you are a best ball value hound YouTube member you get access to all of those after darks and
then starting week one for the highest tier the hand builder and opto bro the the DFS crams will
be back on Sunday mornings and those are specifically for that highest level tier on
the channel all right let's recap this team 124th best ball mania team
why do I keep clicking eliminator come on Peter where am I
here we go. Here we go. Best ball mania 124. How did we do? 2-5-8-3. Justin Herbert, Jordan Love
at quarterback. Jonathan Taylor, Omarion Hampton, Ramondre Stevenson, Rashad White, Marshawn Lloyd,
Tedaroy McMillan, Christian Watson, Makai Lemon, Xavier Worthy, Trey Harris, Cyrus Allen, Jalen
Knoll, Malik Benson, Trey McBride, Kenyon Sadiq, Charlie Kohler. I think the team's fine, but my
one macro takeaway is there were a ton of what I thought running back values in a range of the
draft that there were not running back values all summer. So I took Lloyd there as my running back
five. I think Jonah Coleman is an awesome pick in this range. We continue to get more kind of
confirmation that he's going to have a role that Sean Payton really wants to involve him earlier
this offseason, and we just know how much that. That running back room is going to generate fantasy points. Malik Washington at 145.
Even Bigsby, like this range of the draft board used to be the worst part of the draft board to
get running backs, like rounds 12 through 15. And now I think there's some really nice
picks in here. The fact that you could go Lloyd, Washington, or Coleman, and then Bigsby
definitely makes me want to mix in
some more wide receiver heavy starts here, just knowing that that value is now
kind of swinging back into this range. Late is still rough, right? I mean,
the running backs who went round 17, 18, Ray Davis, who's fine, but then Pacheco, Najee Harris.
Yeah, I'm trying to think back to things I would do differently in this draft.
Probably just flip one of those early running back picks to a wide receiver.
I mean, maybe it's just flipping Jonathan Taylor to Amin Ra.
And if you do Amin Ra here at six,
then you can grab another running back in this range here.
Malik Benson, though, my first share of Malik Benson. So excited. So excited.
You guys are tossing out sleepers still. Savion Williams. Okay.
You're right. I can never, I'm like, let me try to do a fancy zero Malik Benson.
And then the chat's like, hold my beer. Savion Williams.
Shorty, do we have a Sunday AM cram? The same plan as it's been for the past five years or whatever.
10 30 AM. We go live.
All the way up through inactives. Messing with the Sims, hand-building lineups,
drafting teams, putting together pick-ems, reacting to news, all that good stuff.
Mr. Mister is on his last BBM. His last BBM. Congratulations.
Jack, what do I got to do to claim the coffee? You got to message me so I can get you the promo
code.
Twitter would be preferred. Otherwise you can email me at contact at Peter over set.com.
Speaking of which I need a little more coffee here as well.
We'll have Adam Levitan joining us in 15 minutes.
All right. You guys, you guys keep mentioning the video. I do have to watch this. All right.
Let's let's find this video.
I was tipped off that this video is coming.
Let's see.
Where is it? Okay. All right. Let's watch this video before Levitan comes on.
The Levitan's post says was supposed to be a relaxing summer.
Instead, I agreed to draft with streamers. Look at that. He's thrown the quotes on it.
He,
he always tosses that word around. Like it's a pejorative who have no idea how to operate a queue
to tilting. Let me pour some coffee to enjoy this.
Yeah, I got to rename this video. Peter over re over set reacts to Levitan's video
about the queue.
Hello and welcome to,
to establish the run Thursday, live stream, $555 buy-in.
It's her Zig. How's it going today?
Doing well. Doing well.
My guest on here, Adam Levitan.
All right. Levitan, Ivy.
All right. I, you know, I wasn't sure if I was actually in this video now that I know I am, I can, I can retweet it.
All right. Back to the program.
We can't joke around anymore. I have to set the queue.
Let's go to the queue. I think he belongs in the queue. Jordan Love.
We could put in the queue. Can I get Malik Willis in the queue?
Can I see the tight end queue, please? Daniel Jones.
We could put the queue there also.
So you can put Rogers and Berset in the queue. I would put Stroud in the queue also.
Are you going to put McMillan in the queue or are you just going to ignore the queue?
We must go to the queue.
Per Adam Levitan's writer demands, the queue must have at least five players.
We better get to the queue. This is getting ridiculous.
I thought I'd really stepped up my queue game. Levitan essentially bullying me into being
a queue-maxer.
Yeah. Like if I was on the sticks, I would have had those guys in the queue. I'm just
saying, I'm just saying if I was on the sticks, it made a big difference being able to actually
fucking see the queue. Now that you've moved the big ass circles out of the way, I want
to do some fucking high stakes shit, not streaming. It was still a disaster because you're just
queuing like, you're just queuing like the top guys.
We are living in a post-queue world.
You didn't control the queue in the proper manner.
Maybe what you, the value you lose in the queue, you gain through having a great co-pilot here.
It's nice for you to admit that sometimes the queue goes wrong.
God forbid we were able to see the players when we draft.
Yeah, I would put Josh in the queue, start setting up your queue for rounds ahead. I would have had to in the queue.
You know, I think in the future, I'm just going to do these solo.
Oh, that was good. That was good. I wish we would have included a little bit of Levitand being on the sticks last week because we know how that went.
He says he wants the sticks, but he can't handle the sticks. He just wants to chirp the streamers. He just wants to chirp us.
Levitand did unlock a new bro, the Q bro.
The ultimate Q bro.
Shout out.
Shout out to the editing team over there at Establish the Run. I think that's Dave Holmes who works on those. Very good. Very good.
Ty says, I'm, here's the thing. If you really want to, Ty says, I'm team Levitand. I've always got several guys in the queue.
Me not using the queue is a strategic decision when I stream.
I don't know if you guys are aware of this fact. This actually,
this actually happens on off and on the clock a ton. It'll happen in ship chasing drafts.
There is a powerful psychological effect of when you start talking about players,
players you want, and you talk about them glowingly.
Other people who are in the draft room who are listening to the stream,
they start to really like that idea you're talking about.
They say that does sound pretty good, Pete. And then they take your fucking players.
So there's a professional streamer movement.
Where you just remember who you want. And this is a shocking thing,
but it's called a mental queue.
You just put a little of these guys in your mental back pocket.
And when you need to take them, you take them.
But Levitand would rather me telegraph it to the entire world.
The rest of the draft.
By all means on your own time, go queue maxing.
By all means. And I will queue for Levitand.
That's just now part of the demand.
Levitand was going to quit this show if I didn't start using the queue.
So I get it.
You know, we all make sacrifices.
We all make sacrifices for our guests.
Colton says he's responsible for having Malik
Benson added to the player pool.
Congratulations.
He did drop two passes last preseason game though.
Bummer to hear.
Bummer to hear.
See, Brandon says case in point.
I just drafted Malik Benson and Savion Williams in my slow drafts.
Oh man, this is going to be a long morning.
I'm still dragging.
I am still dragging, but.
We have teams to draft.
We have things to do, teams to draft.
the chat is full of scumbag snipers.
That's the thesis of Adam's video.
Here's the thing.
Adam, Adam's just an EV grinder, right?
He doesn't want to sacrifice any EV.
The problem is, is that once you cross the streaming Rubicon,
it's an art.
It's an art.
You can't be too withholding, right?
If you don't discuss what you want to do,
if you don't discuss players,
then what's the point of even streaming?
But you also, I always say,
you don't need to put it on a fucking billboard, all right?
You don't need to put it on a billboard for the people.
Some people want to put it on a billboard
because they're too boomer to remember
what picks would make sense for their team.
Ooh, Nick, what was your personal favorite pick
from the weekend on your teams?
I mean, I mentioned it before.
I took two Jacoby Lane shares.
I was getting really good value on him.
13th, 14th round.
You know, Cyrus Allen went 10th round.
Stribling was going sixth round.
I think Jacoby Lane was a really good value.
I loved getting Malik Neighbors in the third
with the third round reversal.
So getting to go Walker, James Cook, then Neighbors.
I love that.
I got really good prices on some quarterbacks.
I got seventh round Lamar Jackson.
I got like Bo Nix in the 13th round.
Those were some of the,
some of the favorites off the top of my head.
Wins Battle Royale in a few weeks, man.
It's coming.
It's coming.
We got to, we got to, you know,
still wrap up best ball summer,
but the BR streets will be here before we know it.
Let's look at some of the fill rates too,
of what's going on with these contests these days.
So we have best ball,
mania, which picked up here a bit.
We're at 76%.
I have 26 more of those to do.
I need to do some,
some math on my rate because I'm doing like four here.
I'll do four on Wednesday show.
By the way, I have the,
the lineup for Wednesday's best ball breakfast.
Let me pull it up just so I,
I make sure that I remember it.
So on Wednesday's best ball breakfast, 10 AM,
I'm going to do a solo draft to kick things off.
We're going to have Megan shout from the fan speak network at 1045.
We're going to have goofy chicken at 1130.
And then at 1215 jam to win annual tradition to have jam to win swing by in
advance of the DFS season.
I'll obviously be live with him in season on Fridays for the block party,
but I always got to get a best ball draft with jam to win.
So that's going to be a fun lineup on Wednesday, solo draft,
Megan goofy chicken,
JM we'll keep rolling these Wednesday drafts,
other announcements for this week.
I mentioned often on the clock tomorrow at noon.
I think we'll cover first quarter drafts.
What are we looking at with those first quarter?
Yeah, I think we do first quarter tomorrow.
Swolecast at 3 PM.
Eastern ADP chasing main event draft tomorrow night,
Wednesday, best ball breakfast.
Like I mentioned Thursday,
we'll have the best ball breakfast.
We'll have the best ball breakfast.
I don't care what you're doing.
you pick I don't care who's in the queue well it doesn't it doesn't matter it doesn't matter
anyways what do you what do you want me to do you want me to drain a thousand dollars trying to fill
a mastiff right now where we just bitch at each other for for 45 minutes you know I can't believe
that the um uh the big dog or whatever was called the 500 I can't believe that filled like three
weeks early I was surprised on that too do you think that they undersized it bait like did it
also feel early last year or do you think the demand for the big dog was up this year um if I
someone in the chat can correct me I want to say that the big dog and BBM went down to the wire
last year or close to like they were neck and neck and this year the interest in the big dog was
seemed much higher than last year um I will say this this contest is about to fill I didn't get
an entry in here you want to do 101 Dalmatian draft does that make it move for you Levitan
on my account with me on the sticks I mean if you want I mean I don't mind doing it I'll I'll
I'll Venmo you for my share of the Dalmatian if you want to be on the sticks
yeah I want to be on the sticks okay then enter enter the contest okay hold on let me make sure
my rankings are uploaded except I just want I want I love how this isn't a bit for you anymore
you are like I literally need to control this draft by the way I'm
I mean I actually you want to both enter it you want to should we both get in it yes perfect
um tell me when you're in I'm not in I'm not in I'm not in I'm gonna need there's gonna be
overflows this is gonna actually be a battle because now everybody's gonna want to get in
this thing I don't care what I'm not in it yet I uh has this underdog thing run its course like
can we play a DraftKings 555 like you're not even it does underdog even care anymore it's the
deal still say now that there's been a transfer of power can you do a DraftKings 555 look I am still
under contract with underdog so yes I'm not going to be drafting on other sites right now but thank
you for checking in on if there's a loophole there I'll be sure to ask my underdog contact hey
now that you guys sold I know you guys are still paying me every month is it okay if I draft a
best ball team on another platform I know it doesn't matter anymore you still have to go to
work every day but I was wondering if I could maybe draft on other platforms now
uh the transfer I think that conversation would go listen you got to read the fine print dude when
there is a liquidation event I've been in a lot of these contracts a lot of stuff gets voided when
there's a liquidation event a lot of shit gets voided I'm just telling you I'm just telling you
all right well uh the money hit my bank account the other day so so far it has not gotten voided
but I will let you know if it does and don't worry I will be I'll look like Davis Matic
promoting all these other best ball sites if that happens
is there a is there an IG group 555 we can get in
an IG group 555
oh my god tell me when you're in this draft oh god my underdog count's almost busted I barely
have enough I have enough I need the I need the underdog money tell me when you're in
I need the I need the IG group money I can't get in I need the IG group money
you passed on it you passed on it okay you had to invest in top shot moments
I'm so glad I have that John Morant okay oh god I'm tech lording one second this is unreal
how many more of these do we have I'm being dead serious now uh dead serious we have so
we'll have next week the week after that is labor day right so no we probably won't roll
on labor day and then and then I don't know if anything will be open the following Monday the
draft season goes so late into September this year I would say Levitan 1.5 over under on how
many we have after this week are you in this draft okay I'm I'm three two one and I'm in
all right good all right so I can this this is the dream right because I can
screen share I can tech lord and you just get to draft for yourself this is the dream for all of us
right it's not the dream because the people don't get to watch me operate the queue they're not they
want to come here to learn to see how a queue gets operated okay you share your screen you could
telegraph your picks to everyone and I'll get to draft in secrecy I don't know how to share my
screen I'm not a fucking streamer I'm a drafter that last week I'm a drafter I'm not a streamer
Mr. just had to top off his underdog accounts a real drafter yeah
all right we are in here Levitan is the 108 and I have the 109 we are going to be I'm going to
rename this video Pete and Adam battle in a 101 draft uh by the way before we get into this I mean
how embarrassing is it for your teammates to do a prayer circle and then you have a sprained ankle
I mean I wouldn't be able to go back to the team I would have to go on pup because I would not be
able to go back and face my team I would have to go on pup because I would not be able to go back
and face my teammates I'm not even joking I I do a prayer circle for you after every draft just
knowing the trauma that you go through with me I mean what like did you guys even have time to get
a rankings update out before the the ankle sprain yeah we we pushed that we pushed an update to uh
completely remove genti when we didn't know and we moved Mike Washington up I think to like maybe
90 or 100 or 110 or something but then we immediately moved it back you know to where
we thought it should be so yeah we're kind of playing it kind of like the
um a little bit worse than the Jeremiah love situation for now while we wait wait for more
info in terms of how much Doc we have on I mean I know everybody's saying prayer circle the the
post said what it was like a moment of silence that they took is that what the the tweet said
something like that I mean there's been so many overreactions and I feel like the Twitter Docs
this year have like made it worse with like the overreaction to camp injuries there's more time
this year before week one like there's just been crazy overreactions
so I want to be I want actually on my tombstone uh that I did not tweet about the genti Mike
Washington Saga during the three hour window where people were hyperventilating I was proud of that
yeah you you were were you formulating a take you were waiting for the right time
no I was just like man there's this stuff happens all the time like it's just
um yeah it's just not I hope you have your cue set because you're on the clock buddy of course I have
my cue set okay good good uh all right this is what we're drafting right now uh 101 dollar draft
levitan and I are both in it it's four of 12 Advanced then one of five one of eight 23 seat
final 30k to first it almost makes levitan happy to be alive to know he's on the sticks of his own
draft I actually already have two entries in this I didn't and so this will be my last entry uh in
this okay okay I'm not a streamer I'm a drafter is what T Bevan says right here
Adam has a prayer circle before every stream that is q works
dude all right okay let me like genti still going at the one two turn after after yesterday is kind
of it's kind of funny uh yeah I still think there's a good chance he misses you know a couple games so
yeah I I would not be taking him there yeah um all right I'm gonna grab a running back here I've
been you know saying I'm gonna catch up a little bit on Omarian Hampton so I guess today's catching
up on Omarian Hampton day or do we get the big dog now we'll get some Hampton here yeah I thought
maybe you'd consider agent I we we tweeted a video of me and Silva kind of um talking
negatively about um a-chan and um I've realized there's like you know the homely crowd does not um
like does not worry about a-chan there were like a bunch of responses really was a bunch of responses
to our video that were like um uh you guys don't know what you're talking about a-chan's gonna
smash you know I I get people just like aren't worried I think in the home league settings so
and his ADP on like ESPN and Yahoo I think is closer to maybe not Yahoo because it's super
sharp there now but ESPN and sleeper I think the HN ADP is closer like 13 overall so it's like I'm
trying to get inside the mind of these people because they're also the same people that are
there to take any Jet any Cardinal any Brown but a-chan is somehow immune to the bad team stench I
think it's like you know how we talk a lot of DFS you know in previous iterations of DFS everybody
would just play whoever played well last week there's a lot of like whoever played well last
year I think yeah all right levitan starts almond rot Derek Henry CD lamb Hampton I mean what is your
I haven't pulled in updated ETR ranks today where do you guys uh have genti now with the the ankle
we're closer to the two three turn um we are at 25 overall yeah and this was my take in the first
draft based on where I saw Mike Washington going and seeing genti still go early second mid-second
is that it's now flipped and people are under reacting to both genti and Mike Washington just
thinking everything snapped back to normal it's like I don't I don't think everything's back to
normal yeah no I mean if you really couldn't put any weight on it
um it's bad if it's a high ankle sprain that was that bad it can be like really bad and that's a
really bad injury to have a bad high ankle sprain if it's a bad low ankle sprain he could play week
one but I'm not going to pretend to be a Twitter doctor I think where we're at now is good while we
wait for more information
yeah yeah and we we just know there's a stickiness to the ADP but like taking him at the top of this
tier like over Walker Chase Brown Hampton Henry HN just feels really bad to me yeah no I I was
kind of I was taking I'm like kind of underweight gentee because I've been taking Walker over gentee
a lot and like that kind of leads me to be underweight gentee so maybe it's a chance for
me to catch up a little bit but I you know taking the guys that are already hurt coming into this
season I just never feel great about it yeah for sure uh does not feel and again we we we still need
an updated diagnosis right we just heard that was the ankle sprain but we still don't know
the severity right for sure yeah all right Levitan is about to be on the clock he has 26 names in the
queue Trey McBride goes what are you going to do here Levitan yeah I know people are worried
about the Brees groin thing I'm not that worried
I think that is like not that severe and so I think it's close between him and Ladd um or him
and Javante but um Brees would be my favorite there yeah I was gonna grab Brees if you didn't
um I have Lamb so I'm gonna go ahead and grab Javante in this format and just play a couple
of Cowboys up top this is a 4-12 advance here so I think some of the extreme structural builds
don't play quite as well when you're just trying to finish top third
um yeah Flowers did you have Flowers the guy that like home league bros do not want to really
draft that much also for what it's worth but he goes 28 overall here and that one makes sense
right because in that well I'm it shouldn't I'm saying at least psychologically I can get in their
in their shoes and they're like this guy doesn't score touchdowns and so home league bros don't
like guys who don't score touchdowns yeah well listen I don't like guys who don't score touchdowns
either buddy
um let's see I have been playing up uh ETN in this range with Kamara out another guy who should get
us off to a fast start here so I will start high t with three running back picks yeah I actually
think that um the longer it goes with no news on Jacobs like he's gonna start going way higher I
really like Jacobs that much but I think from like a CLV play he is gonna start going early
third round the closer we get with him so I'm gonna start high t with three running back picks
with no news on the suspension yeah yeah I mean we were I was talking about this with Kittle
before you came on and people were like do you think the Kittle ADP what what do you think it's
gonna get to and I'm just like I don't know man I feel like people are just anchored to not wanting
to click Kittle that I don't know they've already said he's gonna he's live for week one or week
two what more can be said at this point I also kind of wonder if that's the deal with Jacobs too
I mean at this point I get if you told people he was playing week one I still don't even know how
much he he moves up but I don't know if he's gonna be playing week one I don't know if he's gonna be
that should be the base assumption right now oh for sure yeah I you know and I'm I'm excited about
Marshawn Lloyd too but I mean I still don't trust him to stay healthy or sustain a big workload or
anything like that so yeah I I think I haven't I do not have very much Jacobs at all but I've
been taking him more lately in that like mid 40s low 40s range um yeah Levitan and I did uh
separate drafts just to have identical structures through four rounds anchor wide receiver up top
three dusty running backs right after it just having the time of our life Blizzy sent in five
dollars to ask legitimately what would the offer need to be for Levitan to do this again next year
he hates this but everything has a price I I know you're completely right Blizzy if I hit up
Levitan with this text in like April I was like yo man are we are we running this back he's leaving
that on unread for sure no I like doing it I'm I'm always down to hang with Pete and the and the
I'm down to hang I there's something about me I get like stressed or like tilted when we start
doing higher stakes stuff if you want to come on and fire some fucking lotto tickets at 7-11 that's
fine if you want to actually draft then we should be actually drafting not not doing a quote-unquote
content no you you get uh you get stressed out either way you want to have your cake and eat it
then you're like oh man now we're getting sniped by the people on the stream it's too stressful
doing that and then if we do the lotto then you're like oh it's a lotto it doesn't make it move for
me I can't get up for this so you don't you don't know what you want dude you say that me and Herzig
did a 5-5-5 on stream it was the most off-the-wall 5-5-5 I've ever been on on Randers just going out
of his way to take uh Lamar from me there um okay are we worried about Evans that these injuries
I've seen some stuff on that that makes me at least a hair
concerned I mean I think he'll be fine it sounds like mostly rest stuff to me we still have two and
a half weeks but I think there's a little bit of concern I would still take him I wouldn't worry
but I would still take him though but you did take me I mean McLaurin at 5-8 it's a good price
yeah and also I wanted to set up the Jaden um Jaden stuff um all right here's the team we do
have uh I think I think he is on board you guys having to pick the same position each round so
yeah we are now why
receiver round one running backs two three four we come back get our veteran wide receivers
I mean we are almost identical here thematically on this draft
yes yeah and I like this structure especially on on especially on um on underdog I've been
leaning into more wide receiver stuff on on DK um but yeah I think on underdog I like these kind of
these kind of setups and I do think like the way that we've been doing it over the last couple of
years is that like the back of wide receivers gotten stronger with the valet and Malachi fields
and just some other stuff that seems stronger now wide receiver I took Tyler Warren there so Adam
and I are going to deviate structurally as he grabs Daniel's how are you feeling about the
Warren injury that was kind of like a quick fake out last week yeah I think fine we didn't really
put much of a dock on him at all very very small uh on Tyler Warren and yeah it's similar to
I feel like these groin slash add up their things with some rest there are typically
fine so yeah I mean the bigger concern for me on Tyler Warren is just Keenan Allen eating lunch
you know I don't want to like underestimate that but I am maybe biased from last year where I just
you know brushed off the Keenan thing way too much and it buried a lot of the stuff I had with lad and
so yeah I don't know I'm having a hard time with the cold stuff because I just don't see how it
it doesn't seem to fit great unless Alec Pierce is there to take the top off the defense or someone
uh Trevor says I should have sniped him
just for the bit that that might have been the end of it that might have been the end of everything
there no I don't get mad about sniping it's all in the game it's like the morons that like worry
about what people are other people are doing at the blackjack table you know just if other people
want to do negative EV stuff it's not it's fine like I'll figure it out all right I have Stevie
Lamb Omar in Hampton Javante Williams Travis A. Chan Mike Evans Tyler Warren Levitan has Amin Rod
Henry Brees Hall Josh Jacobs Terry McLaurin and Jaden Daniels we're drafting a hundred and one
dollar team here just so Levitan can just feel alive just a little bit on a Monday morning yeah
I have what's known as a mild gambling problem how did I see did you guys do a an FFPC main
event last night did I see that yeah we posted it uh we actually recorded it because Silva gets so
I tilted about the the sniping so uh so we recorded it and um and released it
last night yeah I you know I'm not much of an FFPC bro so I don't have a great feel there like
it does it's like some of the tight end stuff was just jarring you know we had to take Don
Kincaid in fucking like round six you know so um yeah if you want to see me and Leone and Silva
tilted each other that's that's a good video I know and I saw Leone just did his his uh his annual
Dalton Kincaid cope tweet as well where he's like he's actually a really good value again
the fourth year in a row
so
I do like yeah where what what were some of the price checks uh like guys like Stribling and other
big risers in that where did you yeah really high I mean in redraft the buzz guys go go really really
high um yeah so yeah uh can you allow me to address my cue here we quickly stop talking for a second
yeah by all means can we take a moment of silence for Ashton Gentry's ankle and for Adam Levitan's
cue everybody please be quiet
you
,
wait you took you took Brandon Aubrey in round 12 we did yeah and actually oh my god you guys
I like looking back hold on I'm uh oh good thing I have my cue all set up because I don't have to
worry here that um we can go ahead and take uh QJ um
yeah looking back like I think I misinterpreted some of the data that that Mark had had given me
about how much better over a point is and I think that's a good thing I think that's a good thing I
think that's a good thing I think that's a good thing I think that's a good thing I think that's a good thing
Aubrey um has been um it was pretty embarrassing because no one took a kicker until like five
rounds later so yeah it was it was probably pretty bad um for sure all right Levitan goes
QJ there at pick 80 I feel like we haven't talked about him a ton QJ over over Godwin
I know you like Lemon a bit his price is dropping uh what's the new enthusiasm for him yeah
Uh, nothing. um too big i think that i might be able to get oh this was named by god i suck um oh the herbert
thing yeah but but i do not have very much qj i do think that he's going to be there in two wide
receiver sets i'm not like i don't think qj is a good pick but like past adp here why i don't have
him um i think that's mostly fine um yeah and godwin i'm just worried he's never i'm okay with
godwin i'm just worried he's like never going to be the same um off of all the injuries but
opportunity is awesome for sure you got sniped on herbert anyways to the lad drafter i took
dac to go along with cd and hampton and then you snap click stephon diggs at 89 yeah i mean if
digs can do it last year coming off an acl playing only 57 of the snaps i know he's a year older now
but i'm like oddly optimistic on digs um for an
older guy
for an old receiver and i try not to do that but um yeah yeah and especially in that i mean in this
format again where you start three running backs early and you want to get off that fast start you
can definitely correlate i think a little heavier on on the teams in this format with the smaller
pods as well definitely makes sense to to load up on on commanders yeah let me see here
um
uh jason says y'all wild for fading qj i don't think uh adam is fading qj in fact he just took
him in a 101 draft yeah i can if anyone i'm happy to check i can look on my on my other computer
here with my other mouse um i can check what i have of qj because i do not think it's very much
at all yeah i i mean my i was light on qj as well and now i i feel like i just want to be light on
lad the rest of the way and start having a lot more qj and harris is kind of how i think i'd
prefer to play it really you don't you don't like ladder you're just trying to balance it out
no i'm just i'm spooked the way mike mcdaniel is talking about that offense and i just don't
i think wish casting lad into a jalen waddle or tyreek role in this offense just isn't going to
necessarily be how it operates and i think the way he's going to use these guys that he's going
to be more a piece of the offense as opposed to a focal point is kind of my concern yeah i think
that's fair i just think maybe the offense could be so good that's going to carry lad along with
it but i think that that's fair um i love saying that's fair now isn't that didn't sherman come up
with a show that's like that's fair or something like that yeah yeah it was a it was uh a famous
phrase on
ship or adp chasing uh when you want to be done with the argument but you actually hate what
someone just said all right you are back on the clock i hope you have the cue yeah i'm deciding
if i need to uh force tight end here or go more wide receiver i think i'm available what'd you say
you going fanning yeah yeah yeah i can't believe deshaun watson starting but maybe it's a good
thing maybe they'll just
like see how bad he is right away and then go to shadir but the other part that concerns me is like
what if shadir has been so bad in practices that they're like well i guess we'll just go with
deshaun but i don't know maybe they're just paying him so much they have to feel like give him a
chance in week one it is great like jeff schwartz has tweeted out the browns always wanted watson
to start that's been very clear and he's starting competition is mostly a myth and especially at qb
i mean they're just they're gonna have their hand forced like he he's gonna be so dog shit how are
they gonna be able to keep that charade up
yeah
all right levitan gets his first tight end in round nine fan and i grab xavier worthy
as my wide receiver four here wandell robinson comes off the board
i think i'm gonna keep getting wide receivers here i'm gonna go with casey concepcion
um stribling already gone uh i'm gonna grab concepcion here
yeah um the non-sexy quarterback that's my favorite too that's like i actually think
has a decent chance to lead the league and uh touchdown passes and maybe passing yards is goff
like this tier is so flat so anytime i i'm with lions and i have lions i have an incredible amount
of of lion stuff um i i like taking golf yeah i mean between like golf and stafford right are the
two that just feel relative to their weapons and i mean you know it for dfs right like these guys
i mean aren't the lions literally implied for 24 plus points every game of the season in the
headlines like 30 oh for this year yeah but like it seems like every time i look they're implied
for 30 yeah yeah the yeah it's a nice range here golf goes 113 to you stafford 116 who did you guys
draft at your quarterback spots last night in the high stakes god i don't even remember uh oh jayden
maybe jayden and baker i can't remember
yeah we got the quarterbacks go so late there you know this is one quarterback starting and like
that's it's hard to adjust i'm probably not like the one to ask redraft questions about right now
i've been doing so much best ball stuff that it's hard for me to kind of get my head around
you know there were insane quarterbacks going in round 10 and like the backup quarterbacks
weren't going so much later adam don't you know i mean this is you run a fantasy football site i
mean we are supposed to leave best ball brain behind so you can make boobies and you can make
buku bucks selling draft kits and talking redraft and brandon aubrey and you say you can't even
remember who your quarterbacks are in a redraft league god i've done so many drafts dude uh
what are you just ripping the five five fives
yeah and then i've been doing a bunch of the off-screen stuff um or some of the off-screen
stuff with dan yeah some of that and some other stuff too um there's always action man it's crazy
best ball is like captivated more people than just like the fantasy community like there's so many
people that love the non-managing of your team aspect oh yeah um all right what are you gonna
do here levitan at 128 after grabbing goth last round um yeah i have my cue set i think it's keaton
for me here um i'm just gonna keep going i'm just gonna keep going i'm just gonna keep going i'm just gonna
confirming based on my other i have my cue set up to not only for this pick but to look ahead
to further fix and it's not just a cue it's not just a cue of like the top names in the ranks or
whatever it's a cue set up specific to my team that's the difference that's what you say oh i'm
using the cue you're not you're just starring the guys at the top of the rank you need to use your
cue specific to your team which is uh well what's the difference you acted like there's two versions
of the cue a cue just for your next pick but then this other special cue you're just starring the
that also works for future picks how do you delineate that
um by ordering them in the order of rank and adp this is not rocket science
you are i think you use this as a crutch man i need you to raw dog it feel alive
all right i grabbed baker mayfield to stack up with godwin as my qb2
levitan does grab keaton mitchell there
let's see so i am at a 2351 levitan's at a 2441 here this could be the spot for me to probably
just grab ferguson and go all in i also think aaron jones is a nice value here but
what do i want more what do i want more
i think i would prefer to go all in on this dallas stack with ferguson as my titan
too here yeah and i need to check the board here see this is the other thing that you don't do when
you're on stream check the board to see what our opponents i literally likely to take levitan do
you know what do you know what i'm always checking when i'm not looking at my cue the board because
that's what's up on the screen in fact that's all we're ever checking no you're not checking you're
talking and doing bits and making jokes you're not seeing see i didn't i if like i wasn't clear
there if i thought she could get back to me or not i think i would put it maybe like i would put it
like 75 percent chick would have gotten back to me but because i was streaming and talking i didn't
really have a good chance to go through everybody's team and check there's no way i'm with sure with
like quarterbacks if you're on the turn i think you can ballpark with decent accuracy there is
no way you can accurately project from the back side of the board 18 picks and going
individually through every team's tight end construction there's no way you can
accurately ballpark that 80 that's that's the actual number that's the true price
yeah right i mean what's chig's adp right now anyways 147 147 yeah it was funny like
chig was a very popular selection and then post digs like you you do actually get him sliding
a decent bit now yeah and we were below market on on chig a lot he's kind of come back to us
um since the since the dig
signing i know there's some stuff in his profile that's that's not great from tennessee but i do
think he's gonna play a ton for them they're gonna play a lot of two tight end stuff i think
i think levitate i think you should become a
best ball streamer no thank you i think you sell etr and you just become a pro streamer
eight hours a day
all right uh levitan's up to a 2442 he has the big commander stack with daniels mclaurin
digs and chig i have the big dallas stack with lamb giovante dac and ferguson
and we are now heading into round 13 this is levitan's dream drafting on his own account
not having to talk adding 19 players to the queue he feels incredible
yeah man i'm getting volume and this is a great use of my morning like you know
great good
what are you going to do here trey tucker yes i think yeah i'm going to take i'm going to take
dimes at this price i have tyler warren i don't think i had to have a qb3 with dac and baker but
this price seems right to me so what are you doing um in season are you like streaming
fucking brs where you do the same shit except it's gonna be your streaming brs or whatever
it's called excuse me what is the ig groups version of pr
you can't just say the same joke you gotta you gotta mix it up a little bit it's called it
i mean it's a callback you're the one that taught me to do it
yes um no yes we will be streaming we i do have some new shows to announce including
one with michael leone will making be making a return to the channel as part of my friday dfs
block so we will be doing some solver stuff on uh on fridays you're lucky that i didn't hit you up
for that i needed a gpp bro in my life i'll see you fucking week 18 get it get off here until then
god i can't believe you're burning leonie's time on this he didn't clear that with corporate
i think he actually did he actually sent me some bullet points of follow-up questions so i'm
pretty sure those came from corporate oh you're right i do remember that now
you think i mean leone's he's always gonna make sure he gets permission come on
um all right let's see here i think i'm in the market for another wide receiver i've been trying
to get some more trey harris let's do trey harris here yeah i like that you took trey tucker round
14 who's he gonna be for you yeah i'm gonna open up one more back stick i shouldn't even say because
all these freaks are listening but yeah i'm gonna open up one more
yeah this is let's let's volley this back to you what is adam going to be doing in season
talking about daily fantasy fantasy cash games yeah i haven't heard it's a fast growing segment
of the uh of the addressable market is dfs cash yes basically what levitan are trying to say is
we're going to devote our entire falls to uh uh game formats that are just slowly inching back
towards zero
i think that it i'm surprised that corporate doesn't make you do just a full season of
waiver wire and trade target videos at one time i did buddy at one time i did you know one of my
mottos at etr has been making less money is fine but like we like higher exchanging less money for
not doing stuff like waiver wire show is like the
trade-offs that like i think we need to be making so yes um can you do you guys have any statement
about the uh the props package stuff are you able to talk about that um i'm gonna prob i'm gonna
address it at some point i i don't think that um most people understand like props was not part of
in season nothing's changing with our in-season product whatsoever props was its totally owned
product and for a lot of different reasons that maybe i'll get into at some point we decided not
to do the product this year so i'm gonna address it at some point i don't think that most people
understand we're gonna address it at some point we decided not to do the product this year so i'm gonna
address it at some point we decided not to do the product this year so i'm gonna address it at some
point we decided not to do the product this year so i'm gonna address it at some point we decided
but um yeah that's just yeah like there's so many people with takes out there that are not involved
at all and you know people that are upset i they're upset because we've been fucking crushing
you know like well it's a good problem to have if people are upset that they can't give you money
for something that they they want right yeah um so yeah it's a very small number of people that
are actually like affected uh by this um and yeah at some point maybe we'll talk more about it
it um but yeah there's yeah it's kind of tough to talk about because contractually we really can't
so gotcha yeah all right uh what adam is legally allowed to talk about is this 2462 team he has
drafted in the little dalmatian here uh you took ad mitchell with your last pick i took trey harris
on the on the trey tucker stuff uh is he a priority target for you in this range uh what
what has you excited about trey tucker yeah
i'll talk more about it in a second the trade that that thing but i do think trey tucker has gotten
um a little better recently nailer played in that preseason game and tucker uh didn't um
which i thought was at least somewhat uh notable um hold on here i'm almost on the clock
hang on he needs to set his cue folks jaylen noel goes 173 valet goes 174
the six hole here this person pays attention to his preseason lane douglas valet do you have the
cue set you do uh valet i think is a is a good pick if you're like i have a ton of valet but
just at way better prices i think he's a better pick um at this price there's a concern for me
at 174 that tyson comes back in like week four week five and then round 15 valet doesn't look
great but i guess it's pretty late it's probably fine
i was panicking a little bit there forgot to set my cue kind of realized i was on the clock um
we need more running backs we're going to take brian robinson maybe the least sexy pick you can
make at this range of the draft someone told me my draft this morning levitan was boring they said i
love you pete but this is the most boring draft not not me like hosting just like the team itself
was boring to me that probably means it was a decent team right boring is good boring can be
good boring can be good um
yes uh jayden blue goes i would have considered him but on my giovante team i was going to uh
yeah i'm worried about you're not worried about blue i this this not sounded good for him lately
i've kind of stopped on on blue but but to me i was talking about it before has the thesis changed
like you were trying to get a little standalone value because he's going to catch passes you get
an explosive play i don't think any of us thought he was going to get 20 touches if giovante went
down
no but are you sure he's he's going to have that that role the pass catching role i mean that's
what they've been talking about all summer i know but now they're going back to saying i don't know
he hasn't been consistent i don't know if we can trust him you know what i mean it's just
i don't know i don't feel great about it yeah um i'm trying to think what i want to do here i think
i'm going to take kate otten and just rip it in on this baker stack here let's do a quick recap
of these teams we have a
three four six three for me three four six two for levitan he's on the clock he took mendoza
it's his qb3 with tucker what are you going to do here um
i think this probably should be pacheco but i just hate that guy and now he has any injury i just i
can't face it probably should have been pacheco though but i went caitlin black i was thinking
about black there too where where are you at with you know we've we've said all the time that you're
all off season and i think sam actually just had a tweet about this so we'll talk about this with
him too of like if we knew who the running back to was in san francisco they'd be a priority target
do you it sounds like you feel confident that black is that guy over jordan james right now
jordan james been out with a rib injury returned to practice on saturday so he's been out black
was out also black got back first so he started generating some buzz from beat writers which is
why the adp has been rising but again jordan james got back on saturday so i think the competition
is back on i'm not like super confident
going to be caitlin black i always thought caitlin black had like a slight edge it's just the more
recent pick but i know a lot of the prospect bros think that jordan james profile is way better so
it's been a tough spot for me i i i take both them i think if something happened to mccaffrey
they would play both um yeah let's see yeah emma john i was i was torn there i was thinking about
black or emmett johnson um you get to your fifth running back there with keaton mitchell i'm a
little thinner with the three up top and then waited all the way to brian robinson if people
wanted a mike washington price check in this one 123 there in the 11th round
uh yeah i want to this is a good one to talk to you about as well because this report is a lot
different than what we've been hearing about most of the offseason with regards to monty being the
bell cow all this talking about there's the one beat reporter i hadn't even seen him
talking that much about the team up to this point are you blind buying the 50 50 mark split report
no i mean i
I think we saw what Woody Marks could do last year in a full-time role,
and it was just like, you really want to get that back out there?
This is stemming from Woody Marks' preseason performance,
which was impressive, but I think they brought Monty in to be a workhorse.
I don't think he's going to be that efficient,
and so maybe if they get tilted at that, they go to more Woody Marks,
but no, we didn't really move much on that.
Maybe a hair we might have moved down on Dave Montgomery,
but I already wasn't super enthused about Dave Montgomery.
He strikes me, I don't think the dead zone at running back
is really that live anymore.
Hold on, I'm on the clock here.
Yeah, so I could do more exciting stuff here,
but I think I want to be a little bit more correlated,
so I'll take Tesla here.
What was I talking about?
Oh, so I don't think the dead zone is that prevalent anymore.
People are so woke to the profiles of dead zone backs,
but if you just want to define one, like Dave Montgomery,
I don't think anybody likes his setup or anything about it
other than, yeah, he's going to get 300 touches,
so I've kind of been out on him for the most part in that room.
Wait, what's not to like about the setup?
A team that wants to run the ball,
he's going to have a lock on goal line carries.
They keep losing wide receivers by the day.
I like his setup.
Yeah, I guess, just like this team has not been able to run the football
for so long due to offensive line issues.
Quarterback cannot threaten the defense.
I think they're going to play with a ton of low score.
Maybe that's fine for Montgomery.
Like, yeah, I'm just not like super excited about it.
So Levitan grabbed Tesla there to stack up, double stack with Goff.
I took Ted Hurst to double stack with Mayfield.
I had an interesting choice because I was thinking about Sean Tucker,
who comes back, but I actually think the pick I'm going to make here
is a little bigger swing, and I want to hear you talk about Seth McGowan
maybe emerging as the clear RB2 behind Javante,
and I do have dimes on this.
I don't know if that's a good thing for the squad.
Yeah, so on Sean Tucker, first of all, you know,
he has to beat out Josh Williams.
There was speculation from Greg Allman today,
and I was going to look at this closer,
but that Sean Tucker may not be as safe as it seems.
I don't know that I buy that, but I was at least going to look at it more.
On Seth McGowan, yeah, DJ Giddens has been hurt.
You know, I thought it was going to be, you know, kind of a coin flip.
Maybe Giddens is a slight favorite to beat out McGowan.
Giddens has been out with a hamstring for most all of camp,
and McGowan has reportedly been one of the Colts' best players
at camp for what that's worth.
You're really asking what happens if Jonathan Taylor goes down.
I don't think they're just going to be like,
oh, yeah, cool, let's give Seth McGowan 20 touches,
but yeah, I think he's, as someone especially in BBM stuff
that probably was not drafted in every league,
I think he's worth it in 18, 19, 20.
And you snapped off Michael Mayer as your tight end.
Right in three there, kind of did a cheap Raiders stack
on the back end, Trey Tucker, Mendoza, and Mayer.
Yeah.
Levitan, I know you're still setting your cue,
but you're done drafting.
Like, once you're done with 18,
you don't have to put more players in the queue.
Yeah.
Do you get a Slack message?
No, I was reading the chat.
I was reading your chat.
Yeah, so, you know,
we've talked plenty about the Mayer stuff.
He is my most clicked player,
and not because I, like, am in love with him so much,
but he just kind of fills a lot of the stuff that I like
with the late-round stuff,
and the Mendoza-Mayer backdoor is one that I do a ton.
I'm just so confident Mayer is going to be starting
the back half of the year where I can't say the same
for Geno, Brissette, some other quarterbacks that go.
So, yeah, you know, when I start thinking, like,
I'm going to need a third quarterback,
the Trey Tucker pick was one reason I wanted to set that up.
And then if somebody took Mendoza before me,
I took A.D. Mitchell over somebody else that I liked.
I forget who, but I took A.D. Mitchell over somebody else
that I liked just because I wanted to be sure
I had the Geno out also there if I needed.
What about Tesla?
I mean, obviously, when you have Goff,
I assume, I don't think I ever even think about Tesla much.
I guess Goff is the one spot at 200,
just get a little touchdown equity there.
I do not have much Tesla.
I mean, there's reports that he is under pressure.
Yeah, I have.
I have 3.8% Tesla in fees and 4.6% in fees on Quinton Johnston.
Yeah, I think Tesla is in a battle.
I think they want him to win it,
but I think he's in battle for that wide receiver three job
with a bunch of other dust balls.
So, yeah, it's not great.
I think if I didn't have Goff, I would have taken Fields
or there's one other guy I had in my queue.
Kishon Booty was also in my queue.
I think Booty, if he stays,
if he stays in New England, is fine.
And maybe he ends up somewhere like New Orleans or Houston.
Like, I don't, Booty to Houston makes a lot of sense to me.
Like, a lot.
Where are you at?
Because I was talking about it before.
I feel like the Tank Dell shit is real ominous right now.
I don't take Tank Dell.
I have way more Knoll.
I have 2.8% Dell and 16% Knoll,
which I don't feel great about 16% Knoll either,
but I'm just, Dell can't practice.
Back-to-back days, how's he going to play in games, you know?
Yeah, that's why they're going to have to give it to David Montgomery
24 times a game, Brian.
I don't disagree with you.
Let me see how much Montgomery I have.
I have 4.7 Montgomery.
Okay.
How much Swift do you have?
Because I guess he's the other guy who was going in that range there.
11, 11 Swift.
Yeah.
I've tried to do my best not to be as hardcore on my player takes this year,
but the big player take that I do have is God.
I'm looking at this now.
I have 23%.
Can I?
Kenneth Walker.
That seems good.
And like 2.3% Gentee, not because I hate Gentee,
but because I take Walker over Gentee.
So I got like really behind Gentee there.
So you just, that whole thing.
I was doing the anti-prayer circle.
I was just going to say that you tried to sneak that in as like,
oh man, I'm like, he went too all in on, you know,
the one pick you'd really want in that range.
And oh man, I accidentally got one.
Way underweight.
The guy who now looks like an awful pick at the one, two turn, man.
Maybe I picked the wrong year to go all in on my player takes.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Did out of just victory lap.
That's exactly what happened.
I'm glad you guys clocked that as quickly as I did.
You know,
it didn't really register with me because I just was in my head.
Gentee is fine, but I, you know, maybe he's not fine.
You know, I wasn't trying to victory lap.
Let's see.
Let's see what I am here.
My Gentee 7.4%.
So,
you know,
look,
was I front row with a candle at the vigil?
No,
but I was in the back paying my respects.
I was still being quiet.
I wasn't elbowing people up there to kind of lead the moment of silence,
but I was,
I was there.
I was there.
Yeah.
All right.
Let's,
let's recap these teams.
We started with,
we started the same start,
right?
Basically the same start.
We did.
We did.
What was this?
Is this Dalmatian two?
That's actually a,
um,
great thing to have on your tombstone,
uh,
2026 Dalmatian two winner.
I G group Dalmatian to,
Oh my goodness.
Uh,
three,
five,
seven,
three.
Here's my team.
Uh,
Dak Baker in dimes,
uh,
Omarian Hampton,
Javante Williams,
Travis HN,
Brian Robinson,
and Seth McGowan,
CD lamb,
Mike Evans,
Godwin,
Xavier worthy,
Casey Concepcion,
Trey Harris,
and Ted Hearst,
Tyler Warren,
Jake Ferguson,
Cade Otten.
So,
uh,
all three of my quarterbacks stacked up with their tight ends and some pretty
big team bets on Dallas,
Tampa Bay in Indy.
Let's see.
I think by the way,
I think those are good,
good team bets.
Like Dallas plays so fast.
I think their defense is going to be better this year,
which gives me a little bit of pause,
but like they play so fast.
They're so talented on offense and yeah.
I,
and Tampa like when Baker was healthy last year,
I mean,
their offense was really shredding.
So yeah,
I,
I like those as,
as team bets and also on underdog,
especially when you correlate your quarterback with tight end,
you know,
it's such touchdowns are such a big part of your tight end score anyways.
And so obviously quarterback throwing touchdowns is like the number one
driver of,
of their points.
So yeah,
I like that.
All right,
Adam,
because you are a pro streamer and because you were on the sticks of this
draft,
I will not be recapping it for you.
You will have to list off the players on this squad.
Jesus.
This is embarrassing.
All right,
guys,
we're here for the Dalmatian,
the Dalmatian to 2026 recap.
Here's what I did.
I got Jaden Daniels here as my quarterback,
one Jared Goff,
and then the backdoor Mendoza stacks is something I've really been into here
lately at the running back position.
Try to be a bit of a barbell approach,
running back early,
running back late.
Derek Henry,
Brees Hall,
a really nice price here on Josh Jacobs.
I think keep Mitchell and Kalen black late.
Maybe Kalen black could be the back up to Christian McCaffrey.
I don't know.
And then wide receiver is,
you know,
the anchor wide receiver play is something a lot of people are doing.
Now the anchor,
instead of bank,
instead of hero running back,
I'm proposing hero wide receiver.
And I tried to execute that with a Monroe St.
Brown and end up with seven there.
And then I want to be sure in these smaller field contests,
I have three,
I have three tight.
Don't lose steam.
Keep it up.
I can't fan and Chagan mayor.
I can't.
It's fucking.
It's been enough, it's enough, it's enough.
audio listeners because he did bail on it he did get terry mclaurin he does have quentin johnston
stefan diggs trey tucker adenai mitchell isaac tesla chiga kanko he thought he might be able
to push him around a whole round but then he did a bunch of math on the fly and realized he had only
an 80 chance to get him so he decided to take him seven picks ahead at adp at pick 137 and then he
just had to draft a backup tight end with his final selection do you have the time of your life
here yeah actually it's been great you know somebody asked for about um i should go over
my players that i'm that are totally dead that i'm up to my cock and i have still even though
it's been a while since the injury i still have 15 percent pierce all even though it's been a
while since the injury i still have
you
12 percent tyson
14 percent burden hopefully he's okay but yeah it's gonna be fine right i hope so i mean we
don't have hardly any doc at all did do you have so much pierce all just because every time you
podcast with silva he reminds you that he once got shot i thought he was a good pick for a while
there you know that's it uh yeah what uh what where are you taking tyson now like where
what's a good price for you yeah i'm bad to ask because i've just been trying to like be out on it
um i i do think that like there's a wide range of when he could come back we're at 135 right now
on the underdog rankings i think we're a little bit higher on full ppr uh dk um you know that
paris game in week seven if he doesn't make it back by week seven he's not going to paris he's
not going to come back in paris and then they have a buy in week eight so then you're looking
at week nine do you trust him to stay healthy after that that's really my bigger concern than
when he comes back is like again four hamstring injuries in the last 12 months it's just it's
just doesn't feel good uh to me at all but yeah it's an interesting bet i i like making the bet
better and redraft where we did take him in that ffpc it's a 10-man bench and in some people have
ir spots i think that's better there too yeah what uh are you on like one
guy who i i was grabbing because i did a couple uh managed drafts over the weekend in vegas and
i took joan johnson in both drafts i feel like he's just really undervalued right now we took
him in the ffpc also um and you know certain tight ends in that in that tight end premium
format are worth more than others joan johnson's a guy that can at least catch a bunch and shower
narrative with with shuck also yeah like we both stacked up our tight ends here ferguson with dac
you took chig uh with daniels which makes sense but do you think like in a vacuum
i mean johnson probably clears both those guys agreed oh easily yeah yeah and in man in managed
too like you said i mean with the 1.5 over there with the ffpc he's going to get you off to such a
a fast start it's hard to envision not using him as either your starter or your flex uh in that
format for for six seven weeks at the very least yes um yeah people keep mentioning the peptide
stuff i you know i i'm not contractually obligated to to do this every week but
everybody's taking them this was like oh when i got so fucking pissed i had will fuller i was like
all in will fuller that year and he got busted for pads everybody in the nfl is doing pads how
does the motherfucker that i am on is the one guy that gets busted and so if they don't get jordan
like chris bell is already back like chris bell might play week one now they're saying this shit
is insane george kiddell this shit zach charbonnet might be back in like october this shit is getting
insane if the guy that i'm fucking on isn't taking the peptides i'm gonna be fucking pissed so if
take them and don't fucking get caught that that's it don't don't do the will fuller stuff
no no then you'll be tilted again because you'll be like i i was completely off him if i would
have known he was taking peptides i would have been taking him at pick 100 i know what you're
gonna do what are what do you get on the peptide stack rudman posted a photo this morning of him
on the on the peptides you see this yeah he's on rena right i mean i don't know what he's on
actually yeah like the stuff that tyson should be on i i don't know that much about it i think
57 is what um tyson should be on the recovery one i think some people the rena one or rita or
whatever it's called is more like just getting jacked in general stuff do you see i i log in
uh to pull up this rudman photo you see what uh the leonie quote retweet he just hit you with
elon's the algorithm man i've been talking to some of my friends that the twitter algorithm
is getting so good like i'm just talking about something and it the for you like hits me with
porn anymore it's hitting me with actual funny shit that i've been talking about um it's crazy
dude this could be you if you start taking peptides i wish man i would i i honestly like
i love like the rudman and cody main stuff like i i wish i had more mass and size and definition i
would do any i would i wouldn't do anything but i i'm i think it's awesome you don't want to you
don't want to get in your let's get in the best shape of our lives adam i want to i want to
what would you yeah for because what people always do they do like the body fat one what
what would be the prop bet for you to get in the best shape of your life yeah we talked about uh
you know me and bales and peter have talked about this off and on for 10 years about doing a uh
dexa scan bet like all of the numbers that you get off of the dexa scan and that because that's
supposed to encapsulate like everything like your sleep your eating your exercise um everything but
yeah it's just about any physical stuff bales is gonna win it's like even if we handicap it like
a win you know so it's hard to make bets no it take that takes me right back to what was the um
when we did the uh oh speaking of which so i was with friedman in uh in vegas this past weekend and
i was reminding him the last time i was in vegas with you you were wearing a hazmat suit
checking whether a grown man had successfully ejaculated into a small cup i actually feel bad
about that and um and in today's in today's climate like we might be like ostracized from society for
even though i didn't ask him to do that it was totally voluntary no way it's the opposite dude
culture's more open to bits like that than when we we did that then uh i don't think so i think
they're gonna say that you forced this poor dude that you work with to uh check bales semen like
that that is not gonna fly in today's uh in today's climate i will say it probably uh would
hurt his future job prospects if that was more front of mind for for employers i have referenced
it in the fantasy life slack one so i'm not gonna say that it's not gonna hurt his future job prospects
and i but i was even really vague about it i was like i know where the the bodies are buried uh
for friedman's former life i love i love friedman too he's the best um yeah all right dude uh you
got market monday today you got a lot to discuss no we are folding market monday there's all the
market monday stuff was news so um i know i said people can't live without it you're gonna have to

all right i'm very excited to see who wins this giveaway oh mack nova he didn't deserve to win
okay dave gladstone is the proud winner of the coffee sponsor that i
remember the name of uh very very excited for dave while we're here i noticed a lot of people in
the chat saying wrong mic um there was a bit of a snafu this week where uh my apartment is being
packed to move and my microphone was packed into some box that i cannot find so let's try this uh
let's test a different mic this is my airpods
mic we'll see if another one is better hold on one second
okay dave gladstone congratulations you get your mic figured out
yeah is this better or no no that's way worse no you're don't listen to the chat your first
one sounded fine okay you said cool go back to it yeah yeah this this sounds
right okay yes that's right don't don't listen to these guys they they they've become snobs man
they they don't know they don't know good audio hit them in the middle of their head um all right
dave message me i'll get you a promo code uh later today uh sam i just hopped in a draft we
are ready to go here in the best ball mania streets let's see where we are drafting from
uh the 101 baby let's go i feel like we haven't had a 101 in a while so you're thinking mike
washington is the pick here or who would you like to go with yes i think where were you uh when all
of that went down last night because i went to bed before i even heard that ashton gentry wasn't dead
yeah i also went to bed before i heard he he wasn't dead it sounded really bad i mean the
prayer circle for a sprained ankle what's going on
in in las vegas uh so i didn't draft any teams i missed out on the whatever pick 100 gentry that
some people got um so kudos to those people willing to take the risk there that clearly
was it clearly works i heard i heard pick 100 on dk i feel like i saw people said like 45 50 was
the most they they saw an underdog or did you see some 100 on underdog i personally didn't see it i
feel like i saw like screenshots on my
x timeline i could be remembering wrong but regardless they were you know they were good
values i'm actually like curious you probably already chatted with this chatted on this with
adam um oh yeah gibbs gibbs here um where do you think gentry should should go or like where would
you rank rank him or take him i i think and again we're in this weird period where we haven't
learned the the severity of it i think
he's like early third i think you take him like right before breeze and jeremiah love would
probably be my my my read on it what about you similar i think i'm a bit later i think i would
take i mean british and love have their own injury concerns but just the timing of those guys
injuries um i feel a little bit better on the severity of those i mean sometimes with these
ankle sprains like there can be i saw some people speculating it's all pure speculation this point
we don't know like there can be um ligament
tears there can be small fractures associated with these bad ankle sprains um if you think of
like bad examples of ankle sprains there was a kyron williams rookie year one where he basically
missed like nine ten weeks there was the hampton one last year where he missed like multiple months
with it with the sprain so it could be one of those like worse versions of a high ankle sprain
we just don't know so i think yeah i'd take love i'd take uh breeze over him i think once you get
to like the etn jacob's tier of running back that's the worst version of a high ankle sprain
for me where the cost benefit analysis kicks in but i'm sure i'll be i'm sure at this point i'll
be priced out there and people will take them before i have a shot at that so um that that's
where i am yeah um i think the yeah excellent groundwork to get ashton at the at the two three
uh yeah we there's still a lot we need to uh we need to know on that yeah yeah i i will say what
it's like we the prayer circle has been become such a meme already
it makes me wonder are people actually rooting for the injury to be uh significant just so that
the prayer circle is justified or do we want it to be nothing and then we just make fun of the
prayer circle for the the rest of all time i mean maybe the prayer circle just works i mean not
enough people are talking about that i mean if every time a player gets injured and you do a
prayer circle i mean it's 100 hit rate so far so i don't know i will say this i even there is the
question of what is the value of the prayer circle and beyond just what he should what his value is
in a vacuum of some of these unique combos here right of you're able to get potentially genti
because there's i assume there's no genti gibbs teams at least before yesterday right yeah so we
might have to have that conversation uh i do think it's it's an interesting one to uh to talk through
here though if it's worth taking the risk just knowing that you're gonna have zero gibbs genti
teams yeah
it's it's not for me i i understand the logic of it um yeah he goes okay you're in the clear
you're in the clear nico i think is a is a smash here yes um and then the second pick is interesting
yeah nico pick i've been i've still i'm very into pickings here but i also don't mind if you have
another frisky pick that you like i mean i i still do like love but i i'm getting so much from her in
like late third that i think we i think we go pickings let's go pickings um yeah i think it's
a good man nico i am just i'm fired up about nico but sorry did you say something on pickings no no
i wanted to talk nico in that i'm kind of surprised that he's even falling now like i mean he is he is
going to be a smash yeah i mean i just think he is always been like a bit of an underrated like
real life talent at the wide receiver position i think like if i was you know if there was a gm
draft gm fantasy draft of players from from scratch and like nico collins would would surprise
people and how high he would get taken in that draft and i think i think like the way things
is really exciting this is already a team i expected to run a ton of uh 12 personnel i think
that's only going to increase i think there's a real chance in that 12 personnel it's now xavier
hutchinson basically running sacrificial x routes in that formation so i think it's going to be like
obviously the the jsn thing last year is a mega outlier you can never project someone to have the
like 40 targets for outrun thing that we saw with jsn but if there is a receiver that is going to
happen to like nico
is in an incredible spot for that so i i am really really high in him yeah the other reason he gets
pushed down here is because uh alave snuck into uh the second round here i believe mr mr is this
your final bbm draft you said you're going to try to sneak in your final draft today uh so you got
to go get your guys puka alave davante smith have you been pushing up alave with the the tyson news
yeah alave i think it's like a similar uh
argument honestly with with alave it's just that i do think tyson is still going to be back at some
point so uh you know you can't push them up as far as it would nico but yeah i think alave is a great
great late two pick now as well firmly ahead of like the uh pickens rice davante zay tier for me
yep uh let's see here i mean it's so the amount of like injury conversations with players uh
in the early rounds now is uh it's pretty wild obviously jeremiah love
brief breeze hall falling back to the 12 hole feels like such a smash uh considering the
severity of his compared to jeremiah love i agree i also think that the etn thing is interesting to
me because like i know i think i've heard you talk i know you were like lower on etn to begin
with but the fact that he moved so far down because of the camara re-signing blah blah blah
and now camara is out with this sprained mcl for multiple months i mean for a player of his age
i think that's like close to the nail in the coffin for camara being valuable this season
and etn
hasn't really budged back up so i i've been also kind of liking that like fourth round price on on
etn with the camara news yep uh all right let's see what we're gonna do here at the four or five
turn we start with gibbs nico comes back to us at 24 we grab pickens there at 25 tootin comes off
the board we'll see what stinking knob does here i mean if he doesn't i mean swift looks pretty good
at this price here if he falls um otherwise you got the receivers you got montgomery
yeah see what stinking stinking no badge okay that's who it is here uh they go swift
unfortunately we were talking about montgomery before uh jmo's kind of a fun one with gibbs
who do you like in this range yeah uh let's do jmo with gibbs i like that it's it's him or adams
for me i think at wide receiver um yeah man evans
limo
limping off practice again today it doesn't sound like serious but
the guy can't say healthy if we're gonna go running back here i would actually pull up
judarian price um okay wow yeah okay yeah uh talk to me yeah i think let's go price here
just to have the conversation i'm not sure i would normally um do this in a draft but yeah
i think he's like extremely undervalued um he's actually i've been looking at main event uh adp
which i think is interesting because it's like kind of a little bit more reactive to news and
yesterday uh he was at like pick 60 by adp and he jumped all the way up to like pick 50
uh in the last day of drafts because of the news that he was resting the rest of the preseason
basically seattle uh wants to put him on ice they've seen enough from him they want to rest him
i think there's a chance like he's in line for a much bigger role than people are expecting
and just like zooming all the way out
like it's a first round running back talent in a really good situation in my opinion i know
charbonnet is there but charbonnet is coming off an acl tear besides that it's guys like george
holani emmanuel wilson like basically nothing from a talent perspective and it's just like i can't
remember a first round running back get it in like a good situation getting as little buzz as judarian
price and i know the the talent upside is like a huge unknown backup running back to jeremiah love
like there's huge error bars on his talent profile but like man i just think the situation and the
opportunity is like very good and what if he is like living up to that first round running back
talent like i think it could be a huge smash this season yeah no i'm with you i i'm curious though
like do you have him like over bucky over montgomery it sounds like you'd have him over
at least um i guess montgomery is like the one who's been anchored there you get the report
over the weekend about the 50 50 thing i was kind of talking that through with levitan is that
kind of contributing to being down on these other guys more so yeah i do so when i said like i
wouldn't do this normally i'd actually do have this is my next highest ranked running back for
sure i would have him over bucky montgomery judkins i normally would probably take like
mclaurin or davante there like take a wide receiver but i know we kind of needed a running
back there to some degree you know we only had one through four so i think it made sense
um yeah i i do like him like the montgomery thing i i do kind of buy a little bit like
i was kind of pretending woody marks didn't exist because of how bad he was last season but
they trusted him in such a huge role i think him like playing well in the preseason means just like
a little bit and there has been a lot of reporting that they they have a role carved out for for mark
so i do think you should knock montgomery like a little bit on the news and again yeah like just
just upside of like the team situation and the individual talent i think just skews towards
towards price in this group for me one thing that i think is really important is that you
i think i was talking through in my first draft um with mike washington marshall lloyd jonah coleman
i was like i really like some of the range of the draft for running backs that i used to hate
you know like pick 135 155 so i had kind of wished my first draft i was pretty running
back heavy early and then i couldn't take advantage of some of those values so getting
our three wide receivers up top here and i think we could have easily pulled off a four wide
receiver build as well if we wanted but a decent amount of flexibility here now gib
nico pickens uh jameson williams price we're about to pick here um we have a bunch of the
elite quarterbacks all here um jayden rarely falling back although stinking no badge might
just keep scooping up all this value i'm hoping he goes may here because i like jayden a little
bit more let's see um they go jayden yeah really burning the clock on us here too um i think we do a
quarterback i think i would do trick may i don't know something else about tp no i'm good with
may on this but i do like so much naked jayden daniels like getting some may uh i think makes
sense can you scroll down to like the wide receivers and running backs that are around
after this yeah so you got uh by adp it's like brooks pollard reed lemon downs um yeah okay um
i'd go probably read or downs maybe read um yeah it's a tricky it's a tricky spot there's not
honestly like if someone doesn't fall there i i do struggle sometimes with this like early
seventh round spot it does feel like a bit of a tear break at wide receiver has happened same
at running back um but yeah read i think um makes sense here and it was funny because like and i
report chuba hubbard uh remains on track to be ready week one you've been on record that you
find brooks to be very overvalued here yeah i i really do i mean maybe i'll have egg on my face but
it's it seems like we just like as a community like want jonathan brooks to be a thing so badly
that like the chuba hubbard hamstring injury i think has been relatively similar magnitude to a
lot of injuries that people are not really reacting to like the buka turf toe injury uh the
manung guy sprained knee like we've had all these other like similar magnitude week-to-week injuries
that have moved players a little bit and chuba hubbard it's like oh hamstring injury let's knock
him from like 70 to 115 because like we so badly like are talking ourselves into jonathan brooks
being a thing and and i'm just yeah it could it could work out um it just seems like very
pricey to me for a guy that has six career nfl carries multiple acl tears is not in a great team
situation i it's it's one i'm i'm gonna be out on and if if he's such a good player that he uh
you know shoves it down my throat then then good for him i'd love to see it you know it'd be a
great comeback story for him for sure but uh it doesn't sound like you'd love to see it sam based
on everything you just said it sounds like you would actually i would actually hate it you have
to say that like you know i don't know i don't know i don't know i don't know
but you do seem like a nice guy yeah but um uh some weird one weird one in here jalen hurts falls
to 83 all the way back to the 11 hole unstacked there some other uh price checks in this range
brooks did go right after we took reed at 74 uh but yeah no back to the may thing i i mean one
of the things that was happening a lot this summer was middle around six didn't like the receivers i
was pulling up romandre then i'm just like jayden daniels every time but then i think someone brought
it up in the chat of like how much more confident are you and jayden daniels compared to drake may
to always make that move with daniels and not do it as much with may so in spots like this where
daniel is off the board and it really cleared out i mean i like getting may where we did
yeah i i think i view it very similar i definitely prefer daniels but uh
yeah running back water seer falls off a cliff i think um it is interesting to
think about how good may was last season with a very weak supporting cast and some some major
upgrades this year um let's see here i do like the tight ends uh i like matthew golden if we
want to double down on green bay i like that yep running back got bill and dowdle both went
um i think you can make the case on the flip side that chuba is a decent value um but he's been
sliding even further do you want me to put golden in the queue for a sec yeah yeah yeah i guess like
what like i think from purely from like a player value i would do like golden pits i do wonder
structurally if we'll feel two box out at running back and should go um man these guys are it's it's
what it's probably yeah i mean dobbins or mason i think are fine here yeah um man let's let's go
let's let's try to let's try to unbury at running back later um i think we can i mean yeah we're
definitely light um we'll have to be aggressive in this pocket the only other kind of complicating
factor is if love comes around to 120 we obviously have to take him um yeah but i think with stroud
with nico late that gives us an out um for a late quarterback that we can play so
So, yeah, no, I'm down to push it here with kind of just Gibbs and Price
and see what we can pull off yeah especially because like at least early season uh you know
i guess if you if you are playing like the anti-price case it's like you know sharps comes
back and makes it a 50 50 split or whatever but at least early season uh should be like pretty
solid for running back two points so i don't mind with those two guys like a bit more of a fragile
running back build um yeah yeah go ahead what were you gonna say oh no i was just gonna say
the chat was mentioning i saw this too uh trevion henderson left monday's practice with a right leg
slash ankle injury so no clue the severity there but considering i mean there's like a handful of
players that you can objectively say have had like a bad camp or preseason based on just like
the reporting and i feel like i haven't heard one nice thing about trevion henderson said
like all summer
yeah
that's funny but it's it's yeah it's a bummer i i have like mixed him in a little bit as he's
fallen but yeah anyways okay so i just i just saw that changing subject i saw underdog tweeted out
an hour ago pete uh it doesn't specify what contest but it says yesterday the latest ashton
genti was selected in one of our draft contests was 121st overall um yeah robert in the chat said
it was a little dalmatian at a dollar contest so okay okay that's funny that it was the
lowest stakes contest where he fell the furthest should be like yeah you know it is funny but i feel
like that plays out um you know i think there's you know we've had puppy drafts where the adp
is sharper like the volume grinders are the ones piling in those cheap ones they're the ones like
most on top of the news the same thing happens on draft kings too right where it's like you know
the some of the cheaper contests like the nine dollar slant like the ownership's always more
in those than it is even the higher dollar ones where you have more whales just splashing around
so it is funny but i think the grinders are the ones trying to capitalize on on news the most
yeah yeah that makes sense all right so here's the squad so far one two five one we started with
gibbs come back with three wide receivers nico pickens and jameson williams we grabbed jadarian
price then drake may we double tap green bay receivers here jayden reed and matthew golden
then we go
kyle pitts um both quarterbacks here jordan love and goth are here and then uh i'm gonna let stink
and no badge do as usual uh sniping here first this would actually be a team where chris rodriguez
would make a decent amount of sense as well yep yep i think it's i think it's straightforward i
think you laid it out well i think it's chris rodriguez and uh the quarterback can we just
check the bye weeks quickly at the running back uh oh here i'm gonna do rodriguez and
rodriguez first because love does have the same bye week is may but i don't know if we can we can
afford to pass on it with that i think we could grab um yeah i'm trying to think is there should
we you think we'll be able to take care of week 11 by at quarterback i i think so it's it's a value
on love we have them double stacked um yeah i think we'll i i like going like three quarterback
on these type of teams anyways i think we'll be able to take care of week 11 by at quarterback
uh i guess thinking like construction wise we took five wide receivers pretty early we can
probably finish with like just seven and two of them being like super late at this point so we can
i think just hammer like running back and and quarterback and figure it out yeah um it'll be
a little weird structurally but i think we can make it work yeah i think we can too it's funny
because 11 falls into that weird range of you know some of the guys where it's like okay you
take like a jacoby actually should there's probably a good one in that there's just no
fucking way to sean watson is the quarterback of this team week 11 there's just no way but i think
no i think i think it's brown's week 11 by am i wrong about that is it really yeah yeah i think
you're right you're right it is there you go so that doesn't help us but i have been liking the
thing i mean i did read it wrong a little bit uh maybe overreacted to the sean interview but i did
read it wrong but i did read it wrong but i did read it wrong but i did read it wrong but i did read it wrong
but i'm with like it does feel like this is the most lame duck starting quarterback like of all
time it's just that like they couldn't go the other direction of starting with shitter and
then going to the sean because that would be just even more disastrous so this is the way
this is the way i think to give the fan base like some hope mid-season when they make the switch
it also like probably helps like preserve munkin's job a little bit of like for net
into next season being able to blame you know a slow start on deshaun watson and and all of that
i think it's like a little bit of political maneuvering um for for deshaun but net he
his preseason for i mean whatever like judge 15 snaps of preseason at your own peril for making
projections but it was pitiful against backups like complete duck passes not being able to read
it's what we saw two years ago and he's two achilles tears
uh worse from what he was two years ago like it's it's just so over for deshaun so i do think the
last round should their pick is it's fine and then and then crying about getting booed as
like what do you like it'd be it'd be one thing if he went like you know 200 with four tds in the
preseason game and they're still booing him he's like dude i just bought i was like no you fucking
suck like what do you want me to cheer for yeah it's just so absurd um price check on mike
washington i was going to be interested in him
if he came back to uh 144 he goes 137 see this is why i can't stream because then i was like jonah
coleman i'm interested in he goes at 130 um so we'll see what we can cook up here at running
back um but we have the two quarterbacks the three running backs five wide receivers one
tight end here and then is a question mark here right oh he just got strapped off so uh whatever
so you could do the malik willis
or i think with this build if we can find some running backs we like i think we push the qb3
thing because it really is just to cover that by week and see if we can get another value you know
who would be a good one like mendoza a week third yeah uh he's a week 13 by he'll be starting by
week 11 um i was gonna put marshall lloyd in the queue here for sure any other running do you want
to do a spears here do you want to be more patient
man it's spears or
willis i do like willis value i do like willis um
i am kind of with you if there was a running back that was screaming out i would do it but i think
we take i think we take the value in willis what do you think about that i'm fine with it yeah yeah
i'm with you if there was another guy there i mean spears i think spears was
spears would have been a good but like totally fine pick but um i really think malik will i
think i'm like a maybe not on an island but i know there's like a lot of people who are attributing
like really high like bench risk to to malik willis and yeah i'm just like not not really
buying that that too much i get he could completely face plant but you know they did
commit to him more money than like say justin fields got last year the alternative is like
at least with justin fields last year the alternative was like a competent tyrod taylor
as a backup quarterback um the alternative for miami is like quinn ewers uh i'm not sure
that is yeah a direction the coach is gonna go so i feel pretty good about malik willis
just rushing a bunch and if he stays healthy making it through all 17 games
no i i think i think it was a good pick there uh yeah i'm not too i mean if he's not playing
it's probably gonna be because he got hurt running the ball yeah um yeah i think the one pick in
is just if knowing the the running back run although man like getting rodriguez and lloyd
on a love team both those feel good uh i guess we can look back and be like should we have pulled up
again well dobbins mason over pits and then just gone a crank purple late team yeah
uh chat saying willis at 145 is a no-brainer i i i think it was i don't say it's a no-brainer i i
do think we could have made the case for a guy like spears there
uh but yeah i mean when we have two really good quarterbacks in may and love
and the thesis is kind of just covering a bye week i'm not opposed to pushing it more but again
if we're running back we're pulling up if we think about the 2v2s of doing malik willis and mendoza
uh or sorry mendoza and like spears there versus malik willis and whatever backup running back we
take you probably start to like the malik willis side even more so i get it yep and willis yeah
no go ahead uh no i was just gonna say and like i get we're trying to cover a bye but like willis
profiles as someone versus mendoza who just like at the start of the season could be giving us like
28 point games like week three week four week whatever that mendoza is not going to give us so
like there's some real value in that um for sure spears we wanted to talk about spears oh well
someone said spears over lloyd i think they offer completely different things and because we were
running back hungry both of them made sense on our team i think lloyd
on a jordan love team just makes way too much sense but if we didn't have him and you are
trying to just get some standalone value because you've been
I think Spears is probably a better bet to, you know, catch three to four balls, give you, you know, seven to eight points off the rip. But if you're trying to find like the league winning smash, which I think we're trying to do here when we're pretty thin at running back, I mean, Lloyd is undeniably the bigger swing at the position.
Yep. Uh, I am spooked on the Titans in general. Uh, yeah, let's, let's figure out what we're going to do here. Um, Tracy is off the board for me.
Yeah. So this would be like, you reach to pull up one of these handcuffs here, which we should probably do. Um, at tight end, um, you could do like a Sadiq or Dulcich. Dulcich obviously stacks. Um, we could also just say, Hey, let's be patient here and grab, you know, an 80 Mitchell, a Pat Bryant type.
Uh-huh.
Yeah. Um, Ray, Ray Davis is probably the running back. I'd go here. You want to start with him? I know it's a bit of a pull up, but, um, let's grab him. Yeah, I think that's fine. And then, yeah. Uh, who are the tight ends again?
Uh, tight ends would be, uh, we have Barner, Sadiq, Dulcich is the one who stacks if you want to go that direction. Um, probably not Barner with week 11.
Yeah, let's go Dulcich. Let's go Dulcich.
All right. We'll grab Dulcich here. Uh, so yeah, we pull up Ray Davis. This is one of those spots too, where when you're on, you know, either the front side or the backside of the board, it's, it's hard to play the positional runs.
It is. Yeah. I'm also kind of like not worried about ADP too much here. I think the, the Ray Davis thing that's interesting and maybe a little under the radar is Todd Johnson is injured right now. Um, basically no reporting on like severity.
It's, you know, the running back three on the bills. Nobody else cares about that besides fantasy sickos. But, uh, I think, oh yeah, exactly.
I mean, it's a great point. The whole reason Ray Davis is ADP is where it is, where it started at the beginning of the year is because of Ty Johnson. And it's like, all right, man, like I don't want to have the RB three or a guy who's going to, even if he inherits work is going to lose high value touches to a guy like Ty Johnson.
You remove that. And all of a sudden.
It becomes a screaming pick. I guess the whole question is, is I think the thing that's exciting about Ray Davis is his skillset is he can do it all. He can be a goal line back. He can catch passes and you have the chance that he could ice someone like Ty Johnson in the event that he gets a shot.
I guess the bear case would be James Cook stays healthy and, or, and then Ty Johnson gets healthy again. And then we're just back to where we started in the contingent play. Can't even hit once Ty Johnson is back being healthy.
Yeah.
It's like, I also just, the thing with like taking some of these running backs on really good teams is that you just have some outs for like random spike weeks that you don't get on terrible teams.
Like the bills can be completely blowing out the jets or the dolphins in a random week. And they just say, Hey, James Cook, like we need you for the playoffs. We're not loading you up with 25 touches this game. Like Ray Davis gets the whole fourth quarter. Right. And I just think there's things like that where.
You can run into some random spike weeks with Ray Davis, like, like corn is maybe kind of the example of that last season. He was drafted super late. He, I think is a much better talent than Ray Davis, but he got big run in games where the Rams were up big and had random spike weeks, even though he was the clear running back to all season. So yeah, I do like Davis in this range. Okay. We've caught up a little bit at running back here. Yeah. What are you, what are you thinking structurally to kind of close this out?
Yeah. I mean, we, I feel like we always play the hits with the three, five, seven, three. That's maybe where we're headed. I could potentially see like a three, six, six, three. Does the math add up on that?
Yeah.
Yeah.
The one guy that I do like now and Levitan took him in the draft we just did, but Kalen Black.
Yeah. He's my favorite target here too, but I do. I do kind of think we go tight end wide receiver and then maybe a black goes, Oh no, black doesn't go.
um uh sadiq went yeah yeah jalen noel has been the other guy if we wanted to double up with
houston wide receivers um can we go to tight ends real quick sorry yeah uh gunner helm pat
fryer move can we take uh fryer muse did i get it did i get it he's back nimble okay nice we got
friday uh as our third tight end so yeah i have caitlyn black jalen noel i almost think i'd like
what do you want you want to go two wide receivers i kind of want to go two wide receivers
uh i don't really like noel to be honest okay um can we can we do uh ridley i know it's boring but
um wow that was some of my best q word
um yeah sorry i didn't give you much much notice there but um we got it in we got it we got it in
ridley you got it and you can draft uh the titans water
receiver three in the 17th round you just you got to do it i i i can explain the noel thing a
little bit i mean i could be wrong on noel i know i know etr is pretty high on him and obviously
you know those guys are great at what they do i i do think like his his rookie year and his like
talent profile is like getting a little bit overrated he was at 1.4 yards for outrun
17 percent target throughout run last year and in the playoff game when they were down
nico collins i think it was actually two games in the playoffs for their down nico collins he was like
completely iced by xavier hutchinson when he was healthy his playing time actually like declined
over the course of season rather than increased and that always spooks me a little bit he's also
like been on the nfi list he had a hamstring injury he hasn't really had a chance to get
established in camp i know the tank dell stuff is like also extremely bearish so there is an
opportunity for him i just think like it's uh
uh you know they brought in all these veterans i think the case on booty trade could still be
coming i actually think xavier hutchinson is just like pretty gonna be pretty far ahead of him uh to
start the season at least so um yeah it's it's not it's not my favorite pick yeah i think yeah
my case for it is just the tank stuff i think is really ominous and i think he's just gonna be out
on the field right away and then we had nico so i didn't mind kind of doubling up on texans that said you know this
yeah my case for it is just the tank stuff i think is really ominous and i think he's just gonna be out on the field right away and then we had nico so i
didn't mind kind of doubling up on texans that said you know this dynamic happens where you have
the five wide receivers early ridley actually ends up being a good pick on those kind of builds where
you're actually a lot lighter than you think and i think sometimes there's the counterintuitive thing
of like oh you take the big upside swing on that but it's actually not having the it's the depth
where i'm like i want more darts at the breakout we just need to make sure that this team has
enough bodies early on so i think it was smart to push us to um seven wide receivers instead of the
other yeah uh i am bummed to see booty go because like as a last pick with may i think makes a
decent amount of sense yeah i agree and i do i did like the black call like on i'm taking a lot of
black right now i just felt like the seven wide receivers was like slightly better um so the other
reason i kind of like ridley is because i kind of do like chris bell as the last round pick here and
like getting some stable early season production makes that a little bit better um man it's like
pretty ugly here uh judy i guess cooper cop i guess we can put in the queue uh yeah do you do
you have guys that are um i take cup just go i think he just went uh yeah or no i spell i spelled
cup wrong jesus um yeah so we're like yeah talk to me about bell i haven't i haven't taken him a while
i mean definitely a late season play but set to practice without limitations that that's a blur
for two hours ago that seems good yeah and there's um like i think people are like forgetting that
the season is still like three weeks away it's like not that obviously he's gonna be behind
uh coming in so late but he has like a month before the season now to
to establish himself a little bit uh we have we have malik willis um yeah that that i think it's
like he's gonna be behind uh coming in so late but he has like a month before the season now to
to establish himself a little bit uh we have we have malik willis um yeah that i think he's gonna be
um yeah that i think he's gonna be behind uh coming in so late but he has like a month before the season now to
to establish himself a little bit uh we have we have we have malik willis um yeah that i think he's gonna be
um yeah that i think he's gonna be um yeah that i completely i completely forgot about
um yeah that i completely i completely forgot about the malik willis angle yeah let's let's
the malik willis angle yeah let's let's
the malik willis angle yeah let's let's do chris bell
do chris bell
do chris bell yeah yeah i think he's i think there's just
yeah yeah i think he's i think there's just
yeah yeah i think he's i think there's just like i mean there's there's so little talent
like i mean there's there's so little talent
like i mean there's there's so little talent in this wide receiver room that people are
in this wide receiver room that people are
in this wide receiver room that people are talking about caleb douglas being like
talking about caleb douglas being like
talking about caleb douglas being like locked in as a full-time receiver now
locked in as a full-time receiver now
locked in as a full-time receiver now and
and
and i think his prospect profile was like
i think his prospect profile was like
i think his prospect profile was like much less intriguing than bells
much less intriguing than bells
much less intriguing than bells so yeah it's just a bit of a talent
so yeah it's just a bit of a talent
so yeah it's just a bit of a talent ambiguous situation i i do kind of
ambiguous situation i i do kind of
ambiguous situation i i do kind of uh like the like
uh like the like
uh like the like miami for dirt cheap uh that we got
miami for dirt cheap uh that we got
miami for dirt cheap uh that we got willis bell and dulcich with like if
willis bell and dulcich with like if that hits in one or two weeks down the
that hits in one or two weeks down the
that hits in one or two weeks down the stretch like that could be some some
stretch like that could be some some
stretch like that could be some some really nice leverage with how cheap
really nice leverage with how cheap
really nice leverage with how cheap cheaply we got those guys
cheaply we got those guys
cheaply we got those guys all right the team is in the books
all right the team is in the books
all right the team is in the books three five seven three per usual that's
three five seven three per usual that's
three five seven three per usual that's our mo let's do this positionally here
our mo let's do this positionally here
our mo let's do this positionally here drake may jordan love and then we're
drake may jordan love and then we're
drake may jordan love and then we're like oh two week 11 buys malik willis
like oh two week 11 buys malik willis
like oh two week 11 buys malik willis come on down at pick 145 played it a
come on down at pick 145 played it a
come on down at pick 145 played it a little thin at running back but
little thin at running back but
little thin at running back but certainly can make this room work with
certainly can make this room work with
certainly can make this room work with gibb
price rodriguez lloyd and ray davis wide receiver nico george pickens jameson williams jane reed
matthew golden calvin ridley and chris bell three tight ends here kyle pitts dulcich fryer muth
some nice miami stacking green bay we go naked may um clear to see how this team works it's
basically like do you get the legendary season from gibbs and you know price price hits like
if that works out you're you're gonna be fine but how do you feel we did with this one
yeah i like this team a lot it's a lot of like uh conviction plays i have like from a from a
player perspective so that's fun i think um yeah structurally like maybe a little bit uh
thin at running back compared to how i like to play it but you can definitely
see how it still works i think chris rodriguez is really undervalued right now i still think
lloyd is undervalued with him clearly looking like the the
handball player i think he's really undervalued with him clearly looking like the the handball
we weren't taking him at pick 97 there yeah um then you start to look at hunter henry he goes 158
this is when i mean i guess you could have taken him at 145 over willis but not really a priority
and then what it's booty like there's not actually that much to do stacking wise with drake may
no there's not and i think booty is like 50 50 to be gone so even that one is
like i'm not i'm not even sure what team you're drafting booty on at this point
and then there's lower upside guys like pop douglas that maybe run some routes but he's not
really been a target of mine so yeah i don't think we we didn't really have chances uh to to take any
stacks um an update on the the henderson stuff here got the twitter docs uh weighing in jeff
mueller says uh trevion henderson injury concern sounds like he slipped hopefully just a mild
inversion sprain or something if it's ankle related weight loss
waiting on news but keep buying remandre stevenson um that's been kind of my takeaway even without
henderson issues he's one too where uh i think just an absolute smash anytime in the middle
of round six you get him here at pick 69 that looks nice to me yeah curious like thought
experiment if trevion i know that's this is like not the case his injury is not that serious but
just like from a contingent we're a prayer circle for trevion henderson
yeah yeah if they're a prayer circle for trevion henderson and we there's a chance he was he was
out for the year let's say for some reason he has a season-ending injury like what is remandre's
like value as a clear starting running back in basketball i think it would be like two three
turn right or is that too too aggressive like in that in that scenario i mean maybe i was gonna
slot him in here in this like mid-fourth i mean i guess it's like it's the swift bet without
right yeah and it's just like i don't know i feel like am i remembering this wrong i feel like we
drafted i guess this was like remandre's second or third year we he was a guy we drafted at like
the two three turn at one point in his career and that was on like some some mac jones teams
that were not that exciting so giovante is probably the upside comp player like
none of us are expecting any big plays out of giovante it's it's just a touchdown expect
expectation bet but i think man remandre's got to be better than giovante as a pass catcher
oh yeah i think remandre is like so yeah i think he's so underrated as a pass catcher i guess
because he's like like kind of looks like fat and he's like big on the field i guess is the reason
people don't like him as a pass catcher but he gets more like running back air yards downfield
targets than anybody besides cmc gibbs i'm sure i'm forgetting a chain
hn uh like he gets he has an interesting receiving profile that i think people
people sleep on so yeah yeah we'll see no we'll see on trevion yeah yeah we'll see on that one
i mean i keep thinking the remandre adp was going to move up um throughout this kind of i don't know
pre-season period and it happens but this might be finally the impetus that you see fifth round
remandre uh the rest of the way out i i assume we're headed there unless this henderson thing
ends up becoming a non-story but otherwise i think we're i think you're going to start seeing
him go on the fifth pretty consistently yeah i agree um let's see some price checks on other
buzzy guys in here i haven't had where haven't clocked jacoby lane today he goes 148 uh actually
flipped denzel boston which i don't necessarily think is um unjustified cyrus allen goes at 156
are there any of these other guys guys we didn't get in this draft
that are priority targets for you you're trying to catch up on your exposures now that things
have broken their way in terms sorry i was uh multitasking for a second in terms of late round
targets just like they're guys you're going into drafts and you're like whether they were someone
i wasn't drafting early this off season or i just feel underweight are there any guys you're trying
to build up positions on here down the down the home stretch yeah i think casey concepcion is
a guy who i was always taking but i'm really excited about now i don't think like anything
changed i think i just like kind of understood how he hits a little bit more where i think he's a
guy that even in a bad offense they're gonna scheme a lot of touches for a lot of jet sweeps
reverses screen screen plays and that not to say he's like a gimmicky player i just think that's
kind of like lower on all browns giving them the deshaun watson tax tax whatever now i'm just a
little bit more optimistic that schiller sanders can lead a competent version of this offense at
some point during the season and even if he can't i think there's like ppr scam type appeal with
concepcion like i guess in my head right like there is a four round gap between carnell tate
and casey concepcion and i think that is just
way too high like these guys are both on really bad offenses with huge question marks a quarterback
both players have like somewhat legitimate target competition wandale robinson and calvin ridley
harold fannin and um denzel boston like it's kind of similar like situations and i think you get like
a huge discount on concepcion relative to tate so yeah he's a guy i've been clicking if he's
available in the hundreds and i need a wide receiver i'm taking him like every single every
single time
yup yeah he went 107 here i took him in my first solo draft him him and worthy are guys i've been
kind of clicking in this range here what about uh on any of the other kind of buzzy wide receivers
are you doing uh cyrus allen uh is he part of your plans i was taking a lot of him i thought
he was like a really fun like 16th to 18th round pick but i might miss the cyrus allen train but
where is he i don't know i don't know i don't know i don't know
where he seems to go now i think jacoby lane is a guy i'm willing to chase a little bit higher up
uh versus allen i have been taking him especially on lamar teams around pick 150 um yeah trying to
think through the other buzzy guys i think you know we we should do we should um really uh pat
ourselves on the back for some of our early stripling shares i mean i feel like we're
dribbling in so many of our uh our first drafts i think our first draft is going to be the first draft
ever had jacoby lane on it and that was when everyone's like oh you got you got to take elijah
sarat he's like he looks better in the spreadsheets no you you take jacoby lane at pick 212
and concepcion at 116 and lane at 212 there you go zay at 44 i mean this team this team is
incredible don't look at tony pollard at pick 68 but besides that you know you can't get clv on uh on all
of them there that was dude that's so funny too because i remember talking that through with you
because i everyone went in to bbm being like tony pollard's a value from his opening adp it was like
110 and then we just took him out because we were we were shut out at running back yeah
let's see this team is this seems fun though here's a drake may herbert team we drafted henry
jacobs pollard tracy sampson can i find stripling on one of these teams we were doing we did
back-to-back two tight end teams with laporta a laporta gadston team that might be that may be a
rough scene there um that's a couple zero oh sf this is gonna here's the sf sf with no stripling
what were we doing what were we doing you have pat bryant boston at 162 um jt chase brown breeze
hall jordan mason sean tucker i want to find where our stripling era was yeah we had some stripling
74.
all right well still at 115 is aged pretty oh there's a mike washington 198 that's pretty good
there's got to be a stribling team in here somewhere where do you think like uh what's
your price for mike washington now again with i still hangs in the balance uh 140s
ish i think like right where spears woody marks uh they're stribling um with christian kirk
dude how many draft did we take laporte on do we have like 80 combined exposure on laporta
we started hot on laporta i do remember that um i like this double minnesota tap at uh we took
jones at 117 and mason at 124 yeah but yeah no mike mike washington i think is i mean i i think
his pre-season performance and usage has indicated he's the clear running back too
and now you have
outs to him getting one two three four starts at the beginning of the season i mean that's not
most likely that he's gonna get four but it's like range of outcomes wise and yeah you're taking
you're still taking him next to like a lot of handcuffs who have zero role to start the season
so i think you pretty quickly can move him up to that 140 range do you what do you think about him
no yeah i'm right there with you uh i i think he's uh he's a slam dunk value there because i
my take on it is you're kind of free rolling
the severity of the gentee injury because the whole thing was like if you have clarity on him
being the rb2 that's a fair price for any of these backups i mean we were fucking taking
isaiah pacheco there by we i mean the collective we you can make the case that that's where the
contingent value goes and now you free roll six eight weeks however long gentees out of like if
you get that kind of standalone value off the rip uh from him i mean he's a he's a giga smash
yep 100 i'm not liking this exercise of actually tabbing through our teams i'm like
jayden higgins zero yeah it's not there's a lot of ricky pierce all zero maybe we didn't take
as much as i thought i i got a lot of stripling on my own account um sorry i was probably
diversifying my exposure drafting with you pete apologies that's right well that's what
chad joked earlier in the chat that the new bit isn't diversifying your exposure it's taking
players as the means to a new conversation topic i i wouldn't normally take jadarian
price here but we should have the jadarian price conversation yeah i'm sure you appreciate people
doing that on your your own account uh when people fact check you on you know best ball
palantir at the end of the season uh another sam laporta team dude he's on every team
yeah i just was really trying to i think we have more debo uh we did do we've done a ton of niner
stuff um here here you go this team kind of cooked
it's a herbert nix it has barkley kenneth walker price keaton mitchell
lad waddle oh i guess tyson sutton debo trey harris jeremy pat bryant kittle kincaid i like that
yeah we can survive the tyson thing on this team that's it's gonna be fun yeah yeah i where where's
your price for him or where you start to get interested in him again um this one i i said
like a hundred and
10 ish 120 ish i think like the market hasn't fallen that far in him yet
yeah 113 in the draft we just did i think he's one of the more like just throwing out a number
for him doesn't really describe how you should approach drafting him to be honest like it really
depends on what players you've taken so far what wide receivers you've taken so far i think there
are ways to like combine him with like keenan allen
yeah
or combine him with devon valet and he's like a lot more attractive right combining him with some
of those early season production guys but if you take a bunch of rookies already early on
then he might have to be off your board right so it's it's a very very situationally dependent
on whether you should take him in my opinion yeah yep um maurice steen says i guess the winner will
be drafting in late august this year i honestly think it's the usual push pull right it's like
we tap through those teams and we're going to be drafting in late august this year i honestly think
it's the usual push pull right it's like we tap through those teams and we're going to be drafting
in late august this year i honestly think it's the usual push pull right it's like we tap through those
teams you know you'll have a higgins you'll have a pierce all you'll have a two tight end room with
a tight end like gadston who doesn't look strong enough but then that is also offset by having
one two three rounds of clv on some important players late draft teams they're not going to
have the zeros uh they're going to have a little bit more information but they're also not going to
have as many you know big clv hits as many chances at super teams kind of really tough combos to get
so i don't know i i still don't think we've had
an instigating event that makes me think definitively drafting earlier drafting late
um has like a massive advantage i think it always tilts toward late as having a general advantage
but i don't see anything that's extreme this year compared to other years yep i agree and
every you like look like looking through those old those old teams is a reminder that like
on almost every team you're gonna have a couple picks that look really good
and you're gonna have one or two picks that look really bad
and then if you looked at like everyone's roster in the draft board that you did
a lot of teams would have that same situation so it's a jordan tyson i pick 70 might look like
whatever the end of the world for a team but when you know i don't think it's like that
big of a deal to be honest yeah um it's obviously not ideal but yeah um oh there's one one guy i had
a question on um oh the one guy that we didn't hit on omar cooper what do you think about him now
he's been i was like so in on him and then the news that he was behind isaiah williams was like
that is that sucks like don't want to go into the season with like 30 percent exposure of him
but then it kind of boom around boomerang back which is maybe predictable that he's back ahead
of isaiah williams so i kind of want to be hammering him again but it is like kind of like
jillian polk uh david laguette vibes right where it's just like the bet on the draft capital that
isn't gonna work out i don't know what do you think about omar cooper yeah man that's it's
actually funny because i've been trying to sever my omar cooper takes between best ball in managed
where i'm trying i think he's a huge managed target because the swing is still really big
and if he sucks you cut him but if like there's a guy going after 150 160 that could actually
amount to like an every week starter it's probably a guy with omar cooper i don't know if he's going
with omar cooper's prospect profile but because i was hammering him so much early on and because
the risk of him being a nothing is pretty high and you have guys like jacoby lane cyrus allen
the dolphins receivers anyone in that mold i'm like i don't know man i i think i just from an
exposure standpoint because i had such a bag of him that i've been content letting him go um so
yeah i'm gonna be underweight down the stretch but it's hard to look at price 180 here you mentioned
the keenan allen as a chaperone with jordan tyson like keenan allen with omar cooper like
i very easily see how that works out yeah yep i think that's i'm kind of similar where i'm still
taking him a little bit but i i do think like it's ultimately not a guy i want to have like
some mega stand on which i was trending towards i'll still end up being above weight on him for
sure but yeah i think the managed first uh redraft is a good take there and it is it's
like it basically compounds the issue we've talked about all off season with like jets and browns and
these values but specifically with the jets it's like okay like breeze hall like garrett wilson
like omar cooper like sadiq oh and guess what i like ad mitchell how is this all gonna work out
unless gino like has a top eight quarterback year now you get the drumbeat of like ad mitchell's had
this awesome camp awesome rapport and then i still like sadiq like i think sadiq at the tight end
position is an awesome pick and i'm just like how is this all gonna work out it was already a tight
needle to thread with multiple of these guys hitting and now it's just further complicated
by how clearly behind omar cooper is in this pecking order yeah yep uh all right dude let
people know what you got going on uh these days uh we still got some that's fair streams coming up
yes we have that's fair shifting
to wednesday this week uh so we'll be on for that i think also other things coming up i'll be
streaming on davis's channel on wednesday i believe right before that's fair stream so i think it'll
be 4 30 p.m eastern on davis's channel then 5 30 p.m eastern on pat's channel on wednesday
and other than that yeah we got our main event i know you've talked about this before but the
live stream will be on wednesday the 3rd in september if i'm not mistaken yep uh so really
really pumped for that one um but yeah other than that yeah that'll be uh i have the schedule pulled
up here for the audio listeners that september 3rd that's going to be an og adp chasing main
event stream so pat sam and davis that'll be a ton of fun and then just to catch you guys up
uh tomorrow the current adp chasing crew is going to draft at 7 p.m eastern on thursday this week we'll
be drafting with crack rock the following or a week from today on monday the new look stat chasing crew
is doing a main event and then we'll close things out on tuesday the 8th over on the ship chasing
channel and i believe we're gonna squeeze in uh another regular show or two of non-drafting so
make sure you guys are subscribed over there for all of those main event drafts and uh sam good
time as always and without further ado i'm not gonna forget the intro for pat corain scuba corain
patty millions peacock pat pat corain on the ones and twos are you kidding me
all right pat corain i just jumped us in a best ball mania draft how are we doing here
doing good how you doing doing good although i am gonna have to go to the bathroom here in a second
too much coffee this morning uh how have you been reacting in the uh genti
podcast i'm gonna have to go to the bathroom here in a second too much coffee this morning
in the uh genti podcast i'm gonna have to go to the bathroom here in a second too much coffee
post-genti prayer circle era of fantasy football here yes so i mean it was uh i was out yesterday
that we were took vivian to uh our friend's pool and so we're you know that we had some snacks
going nice little sunday and then i saw the genti went down and um you know the guys had already
updated the sidekick and everything so that was awesome and then uh i was like i think we need to
update mike washington like we did like
half an hour ago like all right yeah and uh so yeah i was on the clock in a ton of slow drafts
and i took some mike washington uh in those kind of ranges where it where it made sense
um but you know fairly late and uh and then was just hoping we'd get good news on genti which we
did so pretty psyched about you know this ankle sprain being obviously you know the concern was
uh unclear if he's gonna like have a high ankle sprain a low ankle sprain he'll miss any time
the severity all that's still up in the air so it's still murky but it's not it's just really
nice that it's not you know a massive season ending or you know completely season altering
injury uh you want to go puka here at yeah or i do okay let's grab puka here to start this is what
bbm draft someone is asking me the uh my bbm drafting schedule i think i'm just gonna keep
plucking away at like eight to ten a week on stream and then depending on fill rate or whatever
i'll probably do some stream uh i don't know a few days before the season starts to uh crank out
whatever is remaining where are you at on your uh your final draft i'm like 35
left to go on bbm still have quite a bit more than that left to go on the dk flagship
probably like twice as many i think i i think i still like 75 ish and um yeah i'll probably do
some five for fives this week some uh big dogs full but i got three slows going there uh so yeah
i'm i mean i am currently in almost 600 slow drafts so i'm really hoping that we can get that
to something reasonable by the time four hour clocks hit i know i'm gonna live through the
four hour clocks that's i
made peace with that but i just don't want it to be overwhelming when we hit four hours so
yes uh go easy cards matthew berry for pete's 150th bbm draft i think i called in my one
matthew berry favor uh this off season with this so you think you can tout finale i don't think
i'll make him suffer through a bbm draft with me but yeah we'll make sure we get some guests for
that uh pat i'm gonna run to the restroom you want to answer this question for copy paste late
on where you guys now have genti yeah so what we have in for genti he was popping up is
is a pick in kind of the late second round range um and that's all gonna be you know it's gonna be
something we revisit later today and you know as we dial in exactly what the injury is i think
one thing for genti i've got i'm writing up my legendary running back scenarios now and it did
it did strike me that like his outcomes are like kind of binary where his upside i think really
depends on him developing his ability to do what he wants to do and i think that's going to be
something that's going to be really interesting and i think it's going to be something that's going
to be really interesting and i think it's going to be something that's going to be really interesting
into a real receiving workhorse in a way that i think is both realistic but also
like realistically doesn't happen and i was already a little concerned about the floor
given that they seem to like mike washington mixing in some at least and then the team's not
going to be very good it probably won't be a ton of play volume you got a rookie quarterback down
the stretch who could really struggle potentially but they're still they're not going to bench him
so the floor on genti was low i think it gets lower now um
and then you have guys in the second round oh wow yeah we we ripped a ripped around fast you want to
go bowers with uh yeah yeah um but yeah i think you have lots and lots of good picks in the second
round so uh travis etn i would not say generally is one of those but um you know typically we're
looking at real opportunity cost in the second round uh and so yeah him falling down to the
late second is probably right right now until we know if but if it's like a low ankle sprain then
it's probably more like the 204 kind of range is where i'd where i'd have them but i i did it did
make me kind of want to make sure i'm getting like more ken walker and stuff yeah uh it's weird he
like no discount on him in this draft he goes at his old price um let's see what the kick likes
here is it going to make it like a yeah it might it might be double tight end which i'd be into
hit the little refresh button on the bottom that'll get us new uh all right i'm gonna hang
out i'm gonna run out of time so i'm just gonna put put my bride in uh yeah no i think it uh and
actually put love we can do we can do mcbride um i didn't get that in time there if you make it like
less long there's a little button if it gives you that again sorry man i'm uh i'm a grower
yeah clearly yeah that little button usually usually uh last last time we
did this it was uh a high wire uh act with the uh the double tight ends here uh but we'll see
what we can do i mean this is a weird spot in the draft now rice comes off the board um you're down
to the flowers to your love slides now with the injury i guess bruce hall i think is in the
conversation here if you're not spooked about that but yeah what do you think about uh bowers mcbride
here yeah i mean i think both can just absolutely crush and you know outscore the widers like
outscore the wide receivers going in this range pretty easily so and bowers can outscore wide
receivers you know aj brown was drafted at the 201 here bowers can outscore him so yeah i mean
in some ways i think it's a little easier to do the bully tight end move with puka than it is with
the running back because in round four we're gonna have access probably to a running back that we feel
good about i mean etn did you notice etn went off at 205 that's that's why i made that comment it's
yeah this this draft is funky genti still goes at 12 you mentioned travis achan there at 17 i guess
the conversation always goes back to you wish knowing that mcbride is there i guess but you
should know that mcbride's generally there at 20 mcbride's kind of there yeah i mean you could
have gone nico neighbors for sure neighbors yeah or nico but yeah i mean i think
it's just one of those things where like this isn't bad i don't think it's bad to have bauer
mcbride teams both guys can just nuke um yeah you know well we will make it work here we start
puka bowers mcbride thank you mr mr the five gifted memberships and congratulations on
successfully maxing bbm via that last draft if you guys got a membership here from mr mr let him know
thank you and uh feel free to join us for the bash on thursday we're gonna have the randomizer
uh kick off at noon with rome from survivor and the flock
league and then we'll do a couple of bash drafts going on here bill are we gonna have something
thrown out here what's going on i don't like so yeah the the eight hole just went lamb travis hm
breese hall in bill bill the the first one that will actually flag a giant
adp leap hard to know if that's a q method or enthusiasm for bill
i mean bill has had a good summer so don't throw this out you know i think he's a worthy pick
a little earlier than we were taking him this early you know maybe not um i kick has burden
here at the top i've been trying to get a little bit more burden i'm not gonna ikb off burden i'll
tell you that much you know i'm trying to get more burden not less yes uh there we go we get
burden here swift comes off the board uh yeah i'm trying to think of who else in this range i mean i
mean i'm trying to think of who else in this range i mean i'm trying to think of who else in this range
he was the other one i guess him and scatabo uh here did you are you buying that montgomery the
50 50 thing with marks that circulated last night or whatever no no i mean marks marks looked kind
of good in that preseason run he was bouncing off people i was like okay that he showed me as much
there as he did all last year almost but and you know he's a second year player he earned a big
role as a rookie granted he's a second year player he's a second year player he's a second year player
like kind of by accident because they didn't plan for not having joe mixon and then they brought in
nick chubb who's totally cooked but still
you know they could have played like to war jordan or whatever so it's not nothing cam scatabo in the
fifth round seems pretty good yeah fifth round scatabo um yeah i mean he's i guess we had bucky
and tootin all here we haven't had a chance to talk about that one either obviously they signed
naji there's been some of the quotes like hey naji's gonna have a big role on this team yada
yada i mean what should should scatabo be getting docked because of naji harris or is that is that
an overreaction i think yeah i mean we we docked him a little um i think that you do have them
i think both these situations actually the montgomery and scatabo situations are somewhat
similar and that you have coaches saying and uh pepper tony mentions that there's been a ton of
great coach speak uh we have we're greg flagged him to talk about the scatabo situation and
talk about woody mark so we're gonna be talking about him and uh legendary coach speak uh right
after this but i think in both cases i really don't want to like i don't need to go i don't
need to wipe my memory and then go into this coach speak stuff i can still like have lived
and i've lived in a world where naji harris wasn't very good got you didn't get a contract
a second contract with a team that spent a first round pick on him and then he
was achilles i just am i'm gonna be skeptic like sometimes i'll be wrong when i take these types
of positions but i'm gonna be skeptical that naji harris can challenge anyone now tyrone tracy is
challenging himself he's he's completely blown it and he's losing to himself he's losing to
himself like he would he would lose work to devon singletary it doesn't matter like he's he's
completely blown the opportunity but scatabo is a really good player and so while i think that
harris could hurt a little bit i think he's a really good player and i think he's a really good
because it's jim harbo and matt naggy like those guys are dumb enough to do some dumb stuff so they
could limit scatabo's role they could have naji harris playing like a long down and distance role
in probably an ineffective way but still like we want as many snaps for scatabo as possible so i
think it could hurt a bit i i'm just not gonna like they can say extremely nice things every
day until week one it's not gonna change that naji's probably cooked you know like if we see him
if we're getting from beats and we're getting videos and we're getting him getting a ton of
first team reps then obviously that would like change my mind to an extent but i'd still be
like a little skeptical relative to that drum beat like really is this really happening you know that
kind of thing but i we'd move on it of course but it's not enough for me just to like oh the coach
is really like woody marks and stuff like that's cool and i don't have as much of a uh a sample
size that woody marks can't play
so i you know it makes me a little more nervous on montgomery but it's not something i'm i'm
you know fundamentally shifting on can we ikb to stevenson here with the um did you see the
hendo stuff that just popped up yeah i did early and that's not we haven't we haven't put anything
in for that we flagged it we haven't adjusted stevenson i was kind of surprised he lasted all
the way here um again i think he's just a good pick in this range yeah i'm with you um and then
you're gonna free roll
you're gonna free roll
kind of the the hendo uncertainty right now obviously like daniels as well but this seems
like a chance where i just think remandre is going to be a fifth round pick uh like the rest of the
way once the the hendo stuff comes out yeah i think you're probably right um i keep hearing
that harbaugh is dumb take i don't know i mean i think harbaugh seems washed is maybe a better word
than dumb i think he probably was a decent coach at one point but he seems pretty washed
um i will say for the double tight end to be able to get scatabo at 52 remandre at 69 we can now get
one of the steelers running backs potentially here uh i think we're set up pretty solid
yeah and i do like warren here yeah there was uh there's been some buzz on on rico it was funny to
read i read like two really strong takes uh you know leone was all in he had a nice tweet about
rico and why he thought he was under pressure and he was like i don't know i don't know i don't know
and then sean comes out with a zero rb countdown and has uh jaylen warren i think did he have him
two or one it was it was up there um and made the strong case maybe it was three whatever he he loved
uh jaylen warren this year as well i mean he's been a guy that's just been in this range forever
has never been able to like fully deliver on the kind of austin eckler like upside where you know
he has the profile to deliver like round two round one running back value um how are you thinking
about him you know vis-a-vis rico
yeah i mean sean got me excited on on warren even earlier this offseason when uh you know he was he
said basically out of the after like the kind of the clear stud running backs are off the board
warren is probably the most talented running back in the league like oh that's fun to hear uh i guess
for some reason he didn't mention keaton mitchell there but um you know jaylen warren is really good
and i think does a lot of things well he catches the ball really well and he's got a lot of things
um he passed protects really well and he's like a dude who actually runs well between the tackles
and everything because he's he packs a punch even though he's a small guy even though he's
he's short in stature he's you know he's he's built so dowdle has been an underrated player
as well a guy that i've like been loading up on like he was he was a underpriced borderline league
winner two years in a row uh that i was very much in on so not a guy i want to fade you know but
also you know kind of does what he does like the reason he's been underpriced is because he's not
a particularly exciting back he's more of like a two down runner type of guy and i think warren
offers just a bit more upside as someone who can really catch passes in a potentially special way
if he's got that all to himself this year with kenny gainwell gone he has a chance to you know
a zero in the passing game so we'll see how the split breaks out but if warren really owns the
receiving side
of this then you know you know like a bucky irving you know you know complimentary kind of
kind of thing is also i think in play where i don't need all of it you know he's going to seed
some work but he's just really talented he's explosive he's you know he's able to have chunk
gains he's able to take a little dump off and get eight nine yards out of it you know fairly
consistently like he's he's he can be used at the goal line you know like there's there's a lot of
for warren to pay off in the seventh round can i talk you into worthy first yes i think i think
that's fine yeah i'm just thinking here too with the because there are some solid quarterback
options we have the dart we have the dart out of bow dart won't come back probably because of the
neighbors drafter being on the other side but that's okay and then we have daniel's
okay and then the borough drafters with nick yeah
so the rice drafter has daniel's though so that's a little bit of cover
also the one hole here okay chase alave pickens adam goes dark this guy is not taking a running
back through nine routes there's pits man people are firing these picks and it's really wow the
drafts have been going fast uh this morning for sure all right michael let me reward me for trying
to push uh and let me get my homes here please well he could use a running back so thank you
there we go called that all right my homes perfect nice call pete you know we're trying i mean it was
a little risky with the rice drafter right behind us but uh they they wanted to lock up that running
back there uh why is this draft not going through why uh no this draft is fine it guys the the bill
pick like you need about like five picks like this to get a draft thrown out um pete is now
making his first draft and he's making his first draft and he's making his first draft and he's
excited no we've it's i've just been i don't want naked my home so when i get worthy uh i get i get
very excited to uh to stack him up there and i think on this team where we did go with the two
elite tight ends we have puka burden being able to get worthy here before there is kind of a tear
break um into this next range where we'd pick at 117 uh i i feel really good about it do you think
we'll have another homes argument because i've just i i realized a take that i couldn't that i
hadn't said all summer
um
and i'm feeling regretful you know that i didn't in the homes wars which have mostly subsided you
know we've um maybe i should save this for adp chasing maybe i'll get jacob riled up because
he's really been my foil i i've made you draft my homes a lot well actually you gotta let you
gotta let it rip because uh you guys are drafting tomorrow so you might not get a chance that's true
my home's take all right let's let's look at who we're gonna pick here and then i'll and i have a
question for you all
right here's the team so far one three three two we do have the uh the brock bowers mcbride we have
three wide receivers now puka burden and worthy we did stack up worthy with my homes we also have
burden at wide receiver and then we have the three running backs scatabo remandre and jaylen warren
if you are stribbling about stribbling he went at 113 here we're two picks away uh nicks hanging
out on the board did you want it casey i wanted casey yeah yep yep yep um i do like bow
nicks a lot but i'm also fine if we just want to keep pushing running i'm good with bow nicks
if you want to because i think well
What do you think?
Will we get one of these running backs back is kind of the question.
I think so.
All right.
Let's take Knicks then.
Aaron Jones has been kind of chilling.
Yeah, that's true.
He's normally here.
Yeah, this draft out of the one hole does need running back help.
I would say he does, considering he has zero.
I don't want to get too carried away,
but I think he probably could take a running back.
He went Menungai and Rashad White.
The drafters behind us went Kittle and Myers here.
We'll be able to get a running back.
But, man, this draft is ripping.
It really is, man.
It's really.
We could squeeze in another one just in case this one gets thrown out.
We can do Jones here.
Jones, yeah.
Yeah, I mean, I think Jones, you know,
you're kind of like using him to help fill out the room.
It's not the most exciting pick of all time.
But Skadaboo, as we talked about,
the Harris stuff, like one reason that I don't get too worried about,
especially on the Skadaboo Harris one is cleaner than the Marks Montgomery one
because Marks is actually the young player.
Montgomery's the old player.
He could maybe he's maybe he's kind of looking cooked.
And that's why Marks looks looks good.
You know what I mean?
So, but with Skadaboo,
one reason that I'm willing to kind of go against coach speak on this type of
stuff is a lot of times we're hearing about what the early season might look
like, you know, and what they're seeing.
And like joint practices and these like various,
you know, simulated game situations that they do.
Well, you know what beats that games, real games.
Like if we get into real games and Skadaboo is clearly better than Najee Harris,
which I think will be true day one and will be more and more true as he puts
more time, you know, between that injury.
Um, I think he's gonna, I think he's gonna dust Najee over the course of the season.
So we get, you know, a guy like Aaron Jones and Ramon Dre potentially to some extent.
Um, although he could just hold the job, but you know,
those guys are going to help in the beginning of the year.
You have some upside with Skadaboo to really emerge as just an absolute hammer down the
stretch.
Um, so, you know, I think Jones has utility in a room like this where you have a player
that, yeah, maybe Scott, maybe Scott was like a really annoying fifth round pick even because
of Harris.
Um, for the first half of the year.
Yeah.
But I, I don't think by the end.
Yeah.
And the other thing I'll say about Skadaboo too, it's like, you know, he was always kind
of like, I think a risky like round four pick, but he has the, the skillset in the profile.
I mean, you're writing about legendary upside, like a guy who catches passes and has a lock
on goal line work in the higher end outcomes where everybody stays healthy, where the offense
in New York is competent.
Neighbors is cooking.
Like he can score like a round two running back, like very.
Very easily with how he plays football.
Yes.
And he, he has jumped out.
So I'm going to write up the running backs in that range too.
And he's really jumped out as just his profile.
And, you know, then I kind of dig in and I create the scenarios and everything of exactly
how these guys would get there.
And his, his stuff's reasonably easy.
Like it's just a high value touch.
A profile is, is really nice.
Um, all right, let's take marks.
Yeah.
I was going to say, I was really.
Coach speak on this guy.
He's been awesome.
I mean, I was really hoping Coleman or Rodriguez made it back to us.
Yeah, me too.
But, uh, we'll grab Woody marks here.
Yeah.
Now that the, the coach speak is so good.
Yeah.
Uh, we still have to get to your, your, my home steak too.
Oh, right.
Right.
Um, well, I kind of gave it away cause it's, it's, it's supposed to be a, a covert home
steak, but here it is.
So if, if Drake may scores exactly the same.
Same amount of points that he did last year.
Do you think he'll be a good pick or a bad pick where he's currently going?
Uh, the exact same amount.
I mean, my gut says that it would be like a slightly bad pick.
What if he was going in the, in the ninth round?
Hey God, let's make this a pick here.
Uh, I'm good with Keenan.
I think Keenan fits the team.
Well, it's a thinner receiver.
Yeah.
Uh, all right.
Yeah.
I think we do need Keenan on a team with only three wide receivers here.
So wait, you are saying that, uh, what if Drake may was going in the ninth round, but
you, but you knew you were just getting last year.
Okay.
That seems like it'd be a good pick.
Okay.
Do you know that my homes and Drake may score the exact same number of points last year?
I knew that.
I knew that's where, I guess when you set up a, my home steak with Drake, that's where
it was always going.
It's just been like one of the, I've been trying to like find ways to communicate.
Like I'm not betting on some amazing chiefs bounce back season.
I'm just betting they'll like kind of do what they did last year.
And my homes is healthier than people seem to insist that he is, even though he clear
he's clearly healthy.
Like he's doing all the things, you know, um, it's, it's the rushing, right?
That's what everybody comes back.
That's what everyone goes back to, but he's not getting those rushing points.
Like, first of all, you don't know that.
He's running around in camp.
He's run.
He's literally running in camp right now today.
So I'm pretty sure actually I might've wrapped, but whatever the point remains, the, uh, he's
been, he's been quite active, you know, uh, he's not just a statue back there.
So you're going to get some rushing.
Maybe you won't get what you got last year, but then you do have the potential for the
enemy to, you know, bring a little bit.
I mean, it's, the bar is low from Matt Nagy, right?
So he, the offense is humming.
They'll just, uh, just that little bit more.
You have Xavier worthy, healthy Cyrus Allen seems to be, you know, a good wide receiver
for at the very least, but potentially the wide receiver three to close the year.
He has a good connection with my homes.
Ken Walker had some explosiveness to the screen game, which, you know, my homes gets
points for that too.
So I just, it's like, yeah, like maybe he doesn't run as much, but like you're, you
win.
Like if he does what he did last year through a slightly different.
Uh, slightly different means you clearly win.
And then also like it's my homes.
So what if he does recapture some of his previous form, which really doesn't seem like that
hard of a thing to me.
I mean, the chiefs, the chiefs clearly had a down year last year.
They missed the playoffs.
You know, this was, this is a juggernaut team that had an off season, an off season.
Of course they could bounce back, but I don't even need them to fully bounce back.
I need them to like, kind of.
Be what they did last year and I win.
So I don't know.
It's unfortunate.
We can't get, we can't get a guy like Pat Bryant to come back anymore to one 65 on a
bow.
Next team.
Uh, yeah, that is a bummer.
We got, that's partly why I liked the next pick too.
Yeah.
The, um, uh, I'm trying to think 80 P wise here.
Yeah.
Hunter, you want to grab him?
Let's grab Hunter, man.
All right.
Let's do it.
People.
Riled up on Hunter, but it's like Myers is, is already banged up.
You know, he's, he's going to have a role in offense.
I know he's, he's a, he's a very good cornerback too.
Myers is banged up.
I miss this.
It looks minor, but he was wearing like a wrist sleeve.
Okay.
Uh, like, uh, it was a brace.
So he had like, it looked like maybe he jammed his thumb or something.
It doesn't look like anything super serious.
Weiss.
What's this guy's name again?
Theo Weiss.
Theo Weiss.
Theo Weiss going at pick one 70.
What is going on?
Every other pick on this drafter was like pretty reasonable.
And then took Theo Weiss at one 70.
Huh?
Uh, I was hoping 80, we could get both 80 Mitchell and Hunter and 80 comes back here.
Yeah.
Let's do it.
Um, yeah.
Pepper Tony's not buying my take because he got injured and publicly stated.
He'll run less.
Who?
On Jacoby?
Mahomes.
Oh, Mahomes.
Oh, sorry.
We're African.
So it didn't work.
I was, I was trying to.
People just, people don't, they don't care.
Okay.
Uh, uh, yeah.
Why take Luther Burton at the four or five turn when you can take Theo Weiss?
Uh, here's our squad so far.
So we did start out with those two tight ends.
Um, I mean, look at these quarterbacks.
We got Mahomes and Bo Nix.
We got Brock Bowers and Trey McBride running back room.
Got rounded out.
Scadabo, Ramondre, Warren, Aaron Jones, Woody Marks.
And then we've been catching up at wide receiver after Puka in burden early.
We grabbed Xavier worthy, Keenan Allen, Travis Hunter, 80 Mitchell.
I like how this one's coming together.
I do too.
I do too.
You, you, I mean, obviously with elite tight end, you get, you know,
you're going to be a little thinner at the running back and receiver positions.
Double elite tight ends guaranteed, but getting fifth round Scadabo.
Um, and then we got like the receivers.
I think you need to, to make this work with, along with the stacked worthy,
which is, which is pretty fun.
And then the Puka kind of anchor receiver element is nice.
And the running back room.
I mean, Ramondre things could, like you're saying, I mean,
he could end up in the fifth round in a week or even sooner,
depending on what this Henderson thing is.
So, yeah, I mean, the whole, the teams come together pretty well.
Yes.
And I mean, there, there's still like, it, it is harder to get values on wide receivers.
I mean, Cyrus Allen goes one 53.
We don't even have a chance to have that conversation.
Jacoby Lane goes two picks ahead of when we took Allen.
And I think Jacoby Lane's a great pick.
But just the value definitely getting sucked out of the room.
Pat Bryant goes one 60.
so he didn't have a chance to stack that up.
Here's one for you because I just literally saw this tweet
and we were talking about it earlier.
Dolphins wide receiver Chris Bell practiced fully without a red jersey today.
Is Bell on the menu at all for you?
So part of the thing for me with Bell is I wasn't that high on Bell as a prospect,
but I think as like an 18th round pick, he's probably in the mix now, yeah.
Is this a Ridley team get another Keenan type pick?
It probably is.
Yeah, I know he's not the most fun click, but, you know, as we said.
Got to make the double tight end work.
So we grab Ridley there.
So now we go after only three wide receivers through eight rounds,
Keenan, Hunter, A.D. Mitchell, Ridley,
which are like the two perfect chaperones for Travis Hunter and A.D. Mitchell.
Exactly.
In this draft, if you want to know how a zero RB experiment
works, it involves Menangai, Rashad White, Spears, Dylan Sampson,
Brian Robinson, Emmett Johnson, and Justice Hill.
Sidekick likes going with our third QB here to stack up A.D. Mitchell,
and I'm always on board for three QBs.
Let's see.
Yeah, and I mean, the one thing, too, with Travis Hunter,
probably Yosh mentioned that he's kind of a falling knife right now,
which I have noticed him dropping.
But it's like, yeah, falling present.
I like that.
But, you know, it's really about opportunity costs in these final rounds.
And for him to be going, you know, in the 14th round,
the next receiver off the board, Pete, was Theo Weiss.
Yeah.
When you put it that way, I mean, the whole thing, too.
I mean, we've had the conversation about Travis Hunter all year,
and I've tried to drill.
No, I just wanted to make a Theo Weiss joke.
No, no.
Well, I was just even going to say, like,
it literally is a contingent running back bet as a wide receiver at this point.
That's at the worst case scenario.
That's like setting aside, like, any standalone value whatsoever,
which I think there is going to be standalone value.
I don't think he's going to play 0% of the offensive snaps this year.
But even then, like you said,
he's going to have a huge role increase if there's any injuries there.
I think on teams like this,
there's two, again, trying to make it work.
Like, you have to take some swings at wide receiver,
and Travis Hunter still represents one of those swings.
Yeah, I think with Travis Hunter as well, like,
the way I try to think about this stuff is that there's only so much that you can learn
from any part of, you know, the type of analysis you're doing.
Like, we can learn a lot from looking at these guys' college profiles,
but we can't learn everything, you know?
It still matters what they do in training camp and stuff.
It still matters what the coaches are saying.
It still matters, like,
they're lining up and what they're doing.
But, like, just focusing, if you only focused on preseason,
you would draft horrible teams.
Like, if all you focused on was, like,
if you didn't have any priors coming in,
and you literally just focused on what was happening in the preseason,
your teams would suck, right?
Like, you didn't know anything about previous seasons
or prospect profiles or whatever.
Like, it can't tell you everything.
So, you know, being able to keep in mind
some important fundamental details,
which I think are really important,
really key with a guy like Hunter,
you know, is a pretty big edge
if the market's not going to do that.
What do you think this team needs more?
3-5-7-2, Singleton, RB6, or. I like both these picks a ton,
so I'm kind of down with whoever you like here.
I'm a little lighter on Singleton.
I always think it's interesting.
Because, like, the sidekick generally doesn't love
the thinner running back play,
so it's always interesting when one of them does pop up there.
Agreed, and we're to six running backs now,
which is, you know, something we talked about, right?
We're going to get a little more outside
the comfort of hyper-fragile
as we move into later August.
And it's still a build I find myself doing,
but less often and with more variety.
Yep.
Yeah, Singleton.
And, I mean, why do you think Singleton bubbles up there
maybe more so than some of the. some of the other backs?
Obviously, you have guys like Sean Tucker,
Katron Allen.
I took McGowan in a draft earlier
with things looking a little bit better for him,
but why do you think Singleton kind of clears
some of these other backs?
Like a Claiborne as well, who's, you know,
a rookie in a three-way backfield.
I think Singleton has a nice mix of, you know,
floor where he has not been. He's been, like, clearly the running back three there
all summer.
Not been a challenge from one of these other backs.
He hasn't, you know, looked like too much of a rookie
to get out there.
That's not true of a guy like Claiborne.
You know, there's been talk of Xavier Scott
being the running back three there, not Claiborne.
So, you have, like, the,
hey, is this guy even, like, does he matter?
Katron Allen has been a little bit up and down
in that regard.
I think he's the running back three, but, you know,
they talk about Robert Henry and stuff.
They have Mick Nichols.
I don't know if he'll make the final 53 or what,
but. They'll be able to bring him back if they need to.
Like, if Rashad White went down,
I bet you Jeremy Mick Nichols would be back.
Right?
So, it's not as clean
from, like, a contingent perspective
with Allen in that way.
Singleton, I think it is cleaner
from a contingent value perspective.
If Spears or Pollard went down,
I think he'd have a pretty significant role.
The other thing about Singleton, though, is
what if those guys don't go down,
but he's just better than them by the end of the year?
And that's where I think he,
compared to a guy like Seth McGowan,
who's obviously a lot more draftable now,
he looks like the RB2 in Indy,
but he's not passing Jonathan Taylor, obviously, you know?
And so, Singleton is one of those guys
who, at the end of the season,
could be, like, a 1A type of back
without an injury, which is very appealing.
You know, those are kind of hard to find right now
in the later rounds.
I think he. It's thin, but it is a realistic possibility.
All right, let's recap this.
Team here, now that it is in the books,
I believe this is, yeah,
the second McBride-Bowers team
that we have done on stream here.
The first time we did it,
everybody went crazy, like,
are you allowed to do that?
I don't think you're allowed to do that.
This time, it was just like, oh, yeah,
I guess that's a thing you can do.
Let's see here.
We ended up with a 3-6-7-2.
I'll label this Elite.
Tight end.
Actually, it's not going to let me do that.
I'll do tight end times two.
There we go.
Here's the team, Pat.
Mahomes, Bo Nix, and Geno Smith.
Scadabo, Ramondre, Jalen Warren, Aaron Jones,
Woody Marks, Nicholas Singleton,
Puka, Burden, Worthy, Keenan,
Travis Hunter, Adonai Mitchell, Calvin Ridley,
and, of course, Brock Bowers and Trey McBride.
We weren't able to get Bo Nix stacked up,
but at pick 117, hard to complain about that.
How do you feel about this one?
I like it.
I think it's a team that, you know,
when you get into those situations,
we know that the Elite tight end can be huge for that.
You know, we've seen Mark Andrews be massive chalk.
George Kittle's taken down multiple BBMs now.
Having that guy who can score like other guys cannot score
at the tight end position is pretty big.
If you get, you know, some ping-ponging of weeks
of Bowers and McBride, that can do stuff like stacking,
where it's like that single-week element, right?
So this isn't like the most stacked team,
but we have Worthy.
And Mahomes.
So Worthy and Mahomes hitting together in week 17
plus one of these tight ends,
I feel pretty awesome about that as a path.
The Geno, Adonai Mitchell stack, I think,
is kind of more fun than anything else.
And then Bo Nix not stacked.
Those guys primarily are to get us to the final, right?
When we get to the final, we're going to be looking at
Mahomes and Worthy and one of maybe both.
I mean, could you imagine if both of these tight ends smashed
and you kind of needed both of them?
I mean, that would be pretty good.
So we've got a path here in week 17.
If we flip this team over in week 17,
it's one I'd be excited to see.
You can see how it takes the whole thing down.
Yeah, it's funny, too, because this would typically be,
you know, the running back dead zone.
I guess you could still call it the running back dead zone there.
But getting the discount on Scadabo and Ramondre
and then getting guys like Warren and Jones,
who I think have outs to, you know,
both a ton.
A standalone value.
But then you also get just the respective contingent value
if something happens to a Rico or Mason where those guys,
we know those are the kind of guys who can take on an expanded role.
That's not Jaden Blue having to seed a bunch of carries to,
you know, Malik Davis if Javante goes down.
Like those could be bell cows and then take some speculative bets
there on Woody 50-50 marks and Nicholas Singleton.
So, yeah, I think, you know, you come out with just burden
through 90 picks, but Worthy, Allen, Hunter, Adonai, Mitchell,
Calvin Ridley, I think this is just a good idea.
This is just a solid team.
Yeah, and I mean, one thing to think about too is that
you're looking at like this team is probably just filling
the three receiver spots most weeks rather than the flex
because when you go bully tight end, part of the bet is
McBride is going to outscore the wide receivers going in this range
such that you'd just rather have them in your flex
than those wide receivers.
And then you have enough running back depth, I think,
that we could also be filling the flex
through
the running back when we don't have big weeks from the tight ends you know if we get some hits
you know Stevenson, Skadaboo, Warren like those guys could be and then and then Jones mixing in
you could potentially be filling three running back spots reasonably consistently especially
if we get hits from Marks and Singleton obviously but we've got depth at the running back position
and then the tight end is going to fill the flex a bunch so the receiver position just has like less
weight to carry than it typically does and it's really I think about getting those
three high scoring receivers most weeks then a lot of teams you really want that to be four
I was going to see if I could scroll through and find uh the I assume I labeled it double
tight end here uh here we go there this was on June 8th uh we had a Burrow Cam Ward Mendoza
again Skadaboo oh this is where we went really thin at running back Skadaboo Ward which
that's where we went really thin at running back Skadaboo Ward which that's where we went
that's funny that we have both those guys here again Jonathan Brooks at 99 and then just a late
round Sean Tucker we had Chase Waddle worthy again Dobbs Concepcion Travis Hunter again Ridley again
Tank Dell and then of course uh Bowers McBride Gesicki to the stacked Gesicki the stacked
Gesicki yeah the reason people freaked out about this one was because of how thin our running back
room was here but talk about what it doesn't look that thin like yeah you know because I mean because
the Brooks stuff is has gone in the right there getting 99 pick
99 Brooks like it's not as thin as it looked then um and then we have yeah Chase Waddle worthy
Dobbs do we have Concepcion on this team you said yes we do Concepcion yeah I mean so this team it's
the it's the flip right where it's like reverse that running back yeah running back we just need
two running backs we only need two running back scores every week we we are getting flex from
receiver and tight end like that's the running back room's not about the flex for this one and
the other one the wide receiver room is not really about the flex so
that's I think the thing with these double elite tight end rooms is is just thinking through and
they're both three quarterback builds which is uh kind of fun so and and stacked with Bowers here
with Mendoza which could be pretty sweet yeah and ATX asked why Gesicki I I remember this draft well
one it was stacked in two you got to remember back in June guys like Emmett Johnson Mike Washington a
we had so little clarity on these late round running backs that the sidekick was not suggesting
um really thin
running back bets uh there so it was one of those things where once the good running backs were off
the board it just kept saying hey we're not going to make a bad pick strength yeah strengthen your
strengths there um and then you get that uh obviously you look at this build and you're
like yeah it would be nice to have a a fifth running back but the way the draft broke uh
there weren't any that were particularly strong bets there at the end yeah and if you did get
now the Gesicki stuff hasn't been great since right he's Eric Hall's had a really nice summer
he's probably gonna have a lot of time to do that so I think it's gonna be a good time to
have you know a smaller role than we were hoping Gesicki I mean so you know in in that sense it's
not such a great pick but from a structural perspective like you do a stacked Gesicki
with burrow could get you through week 15 or something without either of these tight ends
doing a ton um and so that's like a you know a kind of intriguing way to to have like a little
bit more of a unique double elite tight end team um and then the other thing like
on the Singleton pick someone commented you know Titans Titans third string running back neat
which you know like fair enough but to your point of not taking the the running backs then like we
didn't know for sure he was the third string running he could have been the fourth string or
not make the team so that's like where I pick like Gesicki we would have liked less if we had
all the information that we have now but it's the type of pick that you know
um it's better than just like taking one of these like total it's better than finding DJ Giddens on
here you know what I mean that's kind of that's what I'm trying to say yep um reefer King has
dropped this question in the chat a couple times in the late 13th early 14th finding myself between
guys like Tucker McMillan Flournoy Bryant Harrison a vacuum which five of these is your favorite I'll
say this this would be a spot where I wouldn't be anchored to ADP specifically with guys like
McMillan and Tucker and Flournoy have just been there all year like this is a spot where I'm like
you know is Jacoby Lane there yeah I was gonna mention Lane yeah who I like but these guys that
weren't getting drafted and we've had this conversation a bunch where at this stage like
this is truly when ADP ceases to be a predictor a fantasy performance uh you can scroll to get those
stacks like 80 Mitchell like you can bounce around I like Trey Harris and Pat Bryant those that would
be my answer to your question of the two guys I would be most interested in there but I would
say I would not be beholden to ADP in that range completely agree you can have a guy and this is
backed up by The Sims 2 like when we when we adjust stuff on Jacoby Lane you know he's popping in the
15th round 14th round um and same with Pat Bryant you know we would have been psyched if Pat Bryant
came back to us where we took
who do we take Keenan maybe or or Hunter um but yeah I mean it's
it's just not that big a difference between I mean it might be like one dollar in an auction
draft versus two frankly it might be one dollar versus also one dollar depending on where you know
the the rise takes a guy if you're still into the 15th or 16th that's still kind of a dollar
player so I agree with you I mean it's the ADP isn't the the reason to factor in
ADP at that point is do you think you can get this guy later and get someone else that you also
really like here um but in some ways that's like one reason to push a guy like uh like Travis Hunter
I was pushing Omar Cooper um before he flipped Isaiah Williams again which does you know it's
like no can we like think on that for a second because like that just as a reminder that this
stuff is fundamentally a little silly you know like Isaiah Williams is ahead of Omar Cooper we
didn't draft Omar Cooper like we lowered Omar Cooper on that but not a ton you know we still
wanted him when he was then gonna fall you know it's more like yeah let's let him fall around
and then take him still you know right but like so much of this stuff that we currently think
is massive like signal is not you know it's just stuff that happened in August and it's not that
there isn't signal in it there definitely is you don't want to ignore the preseason
but like it's it's also going to be noisy there's like no there's a lot of noisy bullshit happening
too so if you just like accept everything you're hearing is like fact and indicative of what we're
going to see the whole season uh I just don't I just don't think that's the way to do it yeah
and I mean it's like if you give you give the market a chance to uh another reason to punish
a jet or a brown or a titan oh yeah they're gonna take it like you're gonna take it like you're gonna
give us any excuse there I mean part of my thing I was talking about this with Sam too where it's
like I I had so much Omar Cooper early too that it's almost like a a portfolio element as well
where it's like okay I am willing to catch up on Jacoby Lane who I was behind for sure you know
get more Cyrus Allen I did make the distinction to to Sam though that I want to sever how I feel
about my Omar Cooper best ball bags from the redraft thing because he still is the exact kind
in bin prices in our main event drafts where it's like I'm not going to punish Omar Cooper for my
best ball sins early on when I think he still represents the best asymmetrical bet in round
18 of an FFPC main which we're going to be faced with that a decent amount over the next couple of
weeks by the way your sins I don't know are that sinful I mean I think getting Omar Cooper where
we got him is good and would would do again like if yeah it's like you can't you can't like
completely predict how all these things are going to happen and it's like you can't you can't
predict how all these players prices are going to go throughout the whole summer so like yeah like
maybe you'd rather have a little less Cooper when he's the most expensive and have come you know
loaded up when he was the cheapest but like also probably doesn't really matter that much because
the difference between his price at the highest and the price of the lowest from that same
opportunity cost perspective that you just laid out with like Jacoby Lane like he was going higher
but not what I don't think he was ever more than like a 12th round pick maybe 11th round pick
no for for a first round pick he was always extremely cheap
and then he got unbelievably cheap there for a minute but like you don't know who what players
did you pair him with is is so much more important than did you get him in the 17th or the 12th like
there is some difference between those two things but potentially not that much and then did you get
him in that period where you were also getting Jonathan Brooks like did you take Jonathan Brooks
and then Omar Cooper at the 11 12 turn because that'd be cool
you know and I don't regret that so it's really just a matter of um yeah like did you
and did you also take someone he was super cheap like I did you know so you know it's always a
bummer when the the price stuff goes against you right and it did with Cooper and it looked like
it was going to go really against us and maybe not as much now that he was ahead of Isaiah Williams
but ultimately like a 12th round Cooper team could could clearly win like that's
that's not like a bad spot to be in for sure and it's like um it's a more micro example of what
we talk about when it feels gross clicking Khalil
Shakir because he burned you as a round six pick versus being around 12 it's like the same thing
it feels gross clicking Omar Cooper because he burned you from a CLV perspective when you were
clicking him in round 12 but now you could get him in round 16 that's a very different a very
different bet yeah it's it's different it's not I don't even know if it's like very different it's
annoying not very it's it's yeah it's it's definitely annoying because you're like wow
I could have there's guys that were in round 12 that moved up that I wasn't taking and so you can
there's like regret to it of like damn like I could be higher on you know when Diggs was going
there I could have loaded up on Diggs more or you know what if I took Cooper directly instead of
Brooks there's probably I would probably find boards where Brooks was available and I took
Cooper you know that that'll that'll hurt you know but it's really like that's why the difference in
price is really does have some some importance because of you know the guys the opportunity cost
was potentially quite a bit higher depending on the draft but yeah ultimately it's it's not like
he was at eighth or ninth round pick you know all right Pat we got a big week with main event drafts
and I know you have a show here with coach speak I just hit you with the the redirect that's
happening here at 2 p.m eastern what are you guys going to be digging into today some Woody Marks
is a big one um and then talking Jonah Coleman uh which is which is uh you know a winner from
the preseason for sure uh Casey Concepcion we're going to dive into we're going to dive into the
Chris Bell stuff uh Keenan Allen um some of the stuff around uh the Patriots uh with he had
actually flagged Travion Henderson before this uh you know he left practice so there's some
interesting coach speak on that situation as well um he's got some stuff on Clint Kubiak in the wide
receiver room so yeah a ton of ton of great coach speak that we're going to dive into uh and then uh
yeah draft a team as well yep uh and like I said earlier uh tune in tomorrow night so in lieu of the
normal ADP chasing show they're going to be drafting a main event team so that show will be 30 minutes
earlier than the normal 7 30 start time but you get to watch the crew draft a team and I'll just
ADP chasing draft uh dare I say was a movie pure cinema it was the travel uh the Travion Henderson
early the bill early and I'll tell you right now Mike Shope is in the group chat he wants to have
discussions he wants to plan ahead no one is giving him any kind of discussion it's going to
be panic and chaos again tomorrow night I can tell you that much Pat you know I'm right I saw
Shope was like all right guys can we seriously have a discussion like we need to talk through
our plan and then you're like the draft hasn't filled up the draft hasn't filled up the draft
because it was like we thought it had filled and it hadn't filled I just chuckled I was like well
when the draft fills we can see if the discussion unfolds but uh I don't know there's something
about to me like it's ADP chasing isn't it supposed to be kind of chaotic like it would be chaotic
you guys could do three three hour calls in advance of this and it would still be chaotic
I understand wanting to talk through some things but it will be chaotic it's gonna be chaotic like
there's no way for it not to be chaotic it's gonna be chaotic it's gonna be chaotic it's gonna be
not to be chaotic no it will be so yeah tune in for that Thursday with crack rock you want to
talk about chaos uh there will be chaos there as well um all right good stuff guys I told you my
