I am Starting to Get Worried About Elon Musk...Here's Why | Julian Dorey

The transcript presents a critical analysis of powerful tech companies and individuals, focusing on Palantir’s new surveillance system that integrates satellite, radar, and camera data into a real-time monitoring tool. The speaker warns that such technology could enable mass surveillance and deep state control, especially under government use, drawing parallels to dystopian narratives like *The Dark Knight*. They criticize figures like Peter Thiel and John Lonsdale, highlighting their roles in advancing surveillance and policies that criminalize homelessness. Elon Musk is examined for contradictory stances—early warnings about AI dangers versus active investments in AI development—suggesting a pattern of technological ambition without accountability. The discourse also critiques the performative display of wealth by figures like Kylie Jenner, arguing it reinforces class division and self-obsession. Ultimately, the piece serves as a broader cautionary tale about unchecked power, emphasizing that those in positions of influence often operate without transparency or empathy, and that society must remain vigilant against the normalization of surveillance, automation, and elitist self-promotion. The core message is a call for critical awareness and ethical accountability in the face of rapid technological advancement and concentrated power.

Welcome back, frickin' frack. Welcome to the jungle. ABC Wednesday. Abbott is back. It's gonna be the best year yet. Thank you, now we can finally turn this up. And everyone's going wild. Y'all think you run this school, but you don't. It's going great. Abbott Elementary. Anything can happen in the jungle, right guys? Season premiere Wednesday on ABC and stream next day on Hulu. Hey guys, if you're not following me on Spotify, please hit that follow button and leave a five-star review. They're both a huge, huge help. Thank you. Speaking of people in the government who don't say they're in the government, Peter Thiel. Peter. Peter Thiel. We've laid off Peter for a few weeks. You know, I feel like you always gotta come back to your friends. I feel like even when we haven't, he's still there. He's still there. Right behind you. He's still floating. Pause. Floating, yeah. That's a hard pause. That's a hard pause. Pause, buddy. But, you know, he's still floating out in the ether sphere there. And there's a new tool that Palantir has. Did I put this link in there, Thief? Yeah, I got it right here. You got it right there. Of course you got it all right. Palantir, as we well know, is a company that is just interested in protecting us American citizens. And in some cases, apparently protecting us from ourselves because we can't police ourselves. And the same guys who run this company, like Peter Thiel, also invest in companies like Flock and probably some other companies as well that aren't named Flock doing cameras. You know, I've said it a million times and I'm always gonna remind people this so that we don't lose, you know, the full message here. Companies like Flock are just one of many. They're what we're looking at at the moment, you know? But there's other companies like Axon and places that are chomping at the bit to take the place of Flock because their CEO sucks and is a beta male. But not the Lonsdale one. The second one, Deef. I'm gonna come to that in one second because John Lonsdale is a co-founder. Yeah, let me get this, the new tech. Yeah, yeah. So Palantir just released, and I'm reading this from at Orwell Day on Twitter. So you guys can check out that account there. Little wink and a nod to Big Brother and George Orwell. So shout out to that account. Palantir just released a new surveillance system that fuses satellites, radars, and every camera into one real-time tracker of people. And movement, we have to consider the possibility, probability, that with Flock as the eyes, a system like this could be overlaid onto the US and we could be the targets. Another reason why we cannot allow Flock, and I'm gonna add editorialize here, companies like it to exist in the way that they do right now, for sure, or to exist as Orwell Day says here, period. So let's play some of this video so people can see this tool and then we'll talk about it. - This is Maven's smart system. Palantir's software as a service product that we are deploying across the entire department. As you can see, it's not just one data feed, it's multiple. And instead of having eight or nine systems for those decision-makers to look at every single day in order for them to make decisions, you then fuse it into a single visualization tool. The single visualization tool allows you to select, deselect different types of data, look at different approaches to data, - Oh yeah, zoom in on Frank who's parked in the-- - Nine to five slots for a job. - From the same system that you're trying to develop your workflows around. Once you have a detection that you want to actually move and actually move into a targeting workflow, for example, this is what we do. - Targeting workflow. We love our corporate terms. - Left click, right click, left click, magically, it becomes a detection. - Okay, pause that real quick. - Detection, then it gets moved. - Left click, right click, left click. - It's that easy. - He's literally saying out loud, he's doing the meme out loud. Bunch of fucking betas behind key, boards controlling the world and saying, fuck you, like it's a video game while we all deal with the consequences. Let's keep going. - Into a workflow. This is standard digitized workflow, but I want to walk you through it quickly. You have different types of targets that are identified on the left there. Every single column produces a different type of decision-making process. Once you have that decision and you're trying to actually action that process, we now move into co-generation, course of action generation, where we are automatically, Brian, a number of factors trying to identify what the best asset to prosecute a target looks like. - To prosecute a target. - Once we've got the different approaches and we select one, we then can move directly into how do we action that target? So we've gone from identifying the target to now coming up with a course of action to now actioning that target, all from one system. This is revolutionary. We were having this done. - Revolutionary, different kind of revolution that I had. That's good, that's good right there. Different kind of revolution, I think. I think the founding fathers had in mind. This is also, if I may make the leap here, a prime example of like probably great guessing, in this case, predictive programming, 'cause it was so long ago. Like Kubrick-type guessing with, I'm thinking of "The Dark Knight" with Chris Nolan. That tool that Lucius Fox uses, Morgan Freeman, in the film, and I've referenced this before, where he walks in and Bruce Wayne says, "You can," I don't even remember how it worked, but, "You can basically use all cell tower technology "to track and visualize all the people in an area "all at once throughout Gotham "so that I can know where to be." And Lucius Fox goes, "No one should have this tool." And that Bruce Wayne says, "When you finish," or what does he go? He goes, "When you finish, just type in your name." - Yeah. - And so then when Lucius Fox finishes the job and Batman gets the Joker, spoiler alert, if you haven't fucking seen that movie. - That's a good thing, though. - You know, Lucius Fox types in his name and the whole thing shuts down and blows up. The problem is, Joey D, please finish this thought, 'cause I agree with what you're saying. - Well, I was gonna say, I think Lucius actually did a little backdoor deal with In-Q-Tel and Palantir, and he was like, "I got some good tech." This is from the Wayne family. This shit ain't even here. - Oh, don't do that. - DARPA don't even got this shit, son. - Don't put that on Lucius Fox, bro. - He made the deal. - I don't think he made the deal. That's not what I thought you were gonna say. - Haven't seen him around much lately. - No, no, don't do that. - When's the last time you saw him in the same room? - Morgan Freeman played God. Come on, come on. He can't do wrong. - He sold the tech. - I don't think he did. Deef, Deef, there's not a deleted scene there. We're just meeting with Peter Thiel. - I actually heard that there's 40 minutes of "The Dark Knight" that they didn't put in the original cut, to be honest with you. - And that's not one of them, though. He's a decent and moral man. - He goes down to Washington, he's like, "Well, I got some good tech for y'all." - No. - And they're like, "What do you got?" And he's like, "What if I told you "you could use Bluetooth to track everybody?" And that's how I met my friend, Andy. And then Andy Dufresne comes in. He's like, "I'll do the deal, I'll broker it." - Okay, okay. - That's how it happened. - I just, for the record, I disagree with that. - He co-signs that, guys. - I think Lucius Fox was a brave and decent man. But point being, literally no one who's behind that type of screen in the real world is a brave and decent man. That's just been proven over and over again. They do not type in Lucius Fox. I'm watching it blow up. They go, "You know what? "We're gonna be the good guys here." You know what? I know what those books say. I know they all warn about being an overlord and they all take advantage of power when you have it. But that won't be us, 'cause our intentions are great. Where have you heard that one before? - Every day from all of these people. - Every single day. - They're gonna save my life. - So it's very frustrating when a company like that is open. Openly, a company like that being Palantir, is openly and directly in contact and in full-blown business deals throughout the history of their entire company since I believe 2003 with the three-letter agencies. - Yeah. - You have to ask these questions. And then you have to ask, "Well, why are they beta testing it on 'No Kings' protests?" And by the way, where did the "No Kings" protests get funded by? How's that somehow connected to this shit? I'm pure spec on that. But like, it's a giant self-serving culling mechanism for all the sheep. - Yeah. - It just is. And you know, luckily, there's some wonderful people though that founded the company have moved on to more important things in society, apparently. - What are they doing? - John Lonsdale is one of them. He seems like a really trustworthy guy. Palantir co-founder Joe Lonsdale, sorry, Joe Lonsdale, is a major force pushing the Trump administration to, lock up unhoused people. Can we stop with, he's talking about homeless people. All right, like, let's stop with the fucking unhoused people. What are we doing? - Why are you letting words bother you so much, dude? - Come on, come on. No, they're letting words bother you. - It's bothering you. - 'Cause they're fucking changing them. Lonsdale founded the Cicero Institute, a lobbying group, eight years ago. Now they've been instrumental in passing laws, criminalizing camping or sleeping in public in 16 states. It's unclear why the billionaire has a passion project of, letting homeless people incarcerated. This is a prime example of, forget the fact that this guy is a scumbag. This is a prime example of where the opposite reaction of a pendulum is very bad. It's very bad, right? So I think we can all agree the disgrace to which we have watched so many local governments make a business out of the homeless industry. Like that's what they do. They pay people hundreds of thousands of dollars to have jobs, is to keep the job so homeless therefore continues and they have tent cities everywhere and people living in hell on earth sometimes that's how you get places like zombie land in kensington in philadelphia like i agree this is all bad on that count joe lonsdale is correct but like his way to pull it back where he's like yeah let's just imprison all of them that's not how it's done dude you know i'm not sitting here by the way i'm not sitting here pretending to have all the answers to all these problems i'm not sitting here telling you it's going to be perfect or that you're going to remove the entire homeless crisis forever and not have any homeless people there's always going to be some form of a percentage where that's going to exist and you want that to exist in in the most orderly way possible which seems counterintuitive for sure i understand all that but like the palantir guy who you know who's connected to technology that kind of tracks people and like sheep like we just talked about saying yeah let's just imprison all these people who many of whom don't have contact with families don't have people to represent them a lot of them have mental illness and you have no idea they probably have no idea where they are yeah that that's not a little bit dystopian like it's just i point stuff like this out because the way these people think obviously is not like you and i but everything's a data point and that includes people we are zeros and ones to them yeah there's no point fives there's no twos there's no tens there's no you know one times one has to equal two or three whatever turns howard says there's none of that it's just zero or one in the arcade hit it or don't yeah and i think when people like that gain more and more power and influence which is the trend we have seen that has gotten us to the point we are and that's where we get also people like the epstein class which peter teal is a member of you know i don't see how that ends up well for the american empire if you will like i i don't i i say that tongue-in-cheek but like i i don't see how that ends well and i say that as an optimist so we're going to point out stuff like this as we always do on the show because it's just another not a little not a little data point yeah using their language yeah i i'm i'm convinced he wants to turn these people into soiling green that's the real that's the real soiling great like the movie yeah yeah and soiling green is people soiling green is they should they should feed one of these these unhoused people to him as food because instead of like a child and be like how do you like that there's a nice middle ground how do you like that pal there's a nice middle ground how did that taste joe yeah taste that one joe yeah now what if we got that guy on melrose he didn't he was missing a foot when we got him now what if he likes it though what if he's like really so far gone he's like this tastes great ladies and gentlemen the child trafficking crisis is over we just solved it we say it's like um have you ever seen midnight alley oh no i haven't okay it's like yeah we're gonna you got a job we'll give you some food roof over your head it's only temporary it's only temporary it's only temporary that's right that was all spec joe don't sue me i'm just kidding yeah yeah look we joke here that's what we're just doing comedy you gotta make comedy the madness that's what it is one of if not the most common dms i get on instagram are many of you asking me what my favorite books are well today's your lucky day because if you use the link in my description below to join my newsletter i'm going to give you my top 10 book recommendations right now also if you'd like to join my clipping community for a chance to make money producing content from the show you can do so via the discord link in my description below and finally you can join my patreon for early uncensored releases of the full episodes via the patreon link in my description below as always please take one second to hit that subscribe button if you haven't already i really appreciate that also the like button's a big help and you can join my newsletter and i'll see you in the next one bye bye the link in the description below but elon musk that's the one that you got it it depends on the day you catch me on and it depends what the most recent thing he did was where i'm zero or 100 on him i i'm like not i mean it's some sort of mix i'd like to think but god damn are there some are there so many discrepancies with him where it's like you know weed guy and friends of peter teal yeah doge creator shuts the fuck up about everything that's going to cost him a government contract yeah free speech guy but also won't let grock comment on things when it's affecting his paycheck brilliant innovator or guy who's in front of all the people doing the innovation or a mix like it's a lot there and and then he's got he's got opinions on every goddamn thing and he owns a platform like that's a maybe a catch-22 you brought back free speech in a lot of ways for sure it's not perfect but like it's way better than it was which also means you got to see some stuff sometimes that you're like jesus christ that's i don't know about that one but that's what free speech is it's not clean it's painful and it is way better than the alternative i've said that before he bought it i've said it when he bought it i said it since he bought it and that's what it is but like then how many followers does he have on there 210 million or something whatever it is yeah he's got a big platform and then he kind of says whatever the fuck he wants which includes him talking out of his ass on things or astro turfing shit and then i'm supposed to sit there and be like oh this looks really organic and natural that's right they really caught the algorithm yeah yeah because he's got no control over the data zero control now he did open source some of the algorithm right i saw even the other day he just released more of it okay you could see how it works again you gotta like but like if i was astro turfing stuff you know i'd be like guys we should make something that appears as though like people can see what it's like yes they can check it out i know that wasn't really eloquent the way i just said no no no i agree that's fine it's it's just i don't want to live in a world where i assume everyone who has some degree of what we might define as power yeah it's bad yeah right yeah i don't want to live in a world where i assume everyone who has some degree of what we might define as power yeah right i also don't want to live in a world like i was born fucking yesterday and pretend that you shouldn't look on a case-by-case basis at everyone and question everything you see and hold people who have significant power to a responsible standard and that's a that's a pun on on the old quote from spider-man with great power comes great responsibility and part of that means that the people it's a total banger dude uncle ben uncle ben shout out uncle ben part of that means that the people that you may whether you planned for it or not you're going to have to or not have some degree of social power over which is all of us when we're talking about someone like elon musk you know they have every right to audit that yeah like in a lot of ways shows like ours and there are many on the internet part of the job is to be an auditor of that and so i with him when i look at a peter teal and i audit things man it don't look good it's just not not not a lot of light in that darkness there and in fact i at the top of my head i can't really think of any i'll say this he's a he's a brilliant innovator he just innovates things that are killing us so you know i i mean brilliant innovator from the sense of like smart businessman but like every james bond villain was a smart businessman you know so guys like that it's a little more straightforward and we've gotten more and more evidence on that over the years a guy like elon musk has some contradictions he has some things that i think as i laid out are clearly not correct and then he's got some things that's like well that's not the worst thing i've ever seen and so i i'll always look at it that way but one of the wild contradictions with elon musk that i think about probably once a day is his whole odyssey with ai so back in 2018 2019 i got really obsessed with artificial intelligence and the coming technology and learning about it and seeing what it could do and i you know i'd go to talk about it with other people and a lot of people will kind of look at me like i had 10 heads be like yeah it's not who cares it's not here yet and i'm like how the fuck could people not be so interested in this then you know 2020 came i started to kind of put it aside because no one would talk about it and then boom 2023 comes in and suddenly it starts becoming a thing 2024 it really sets in obviously now we're living in boomer ai slopville elon musk very publicly and known to most of the world as the you i'm sure was out there aggressively and i mean aggressively anywhere where there was a running microphone in the 2010s he was yelling from the top of the rooftops about ai and the dangers and i you know i don't like being a doomer on stuff but when someone like that who has access to a lot of things like him is saying the types of things he is yeah i'm going to pay fucking attention you're going to see we have some podcasts coming that are covering across the spectrum of ai like we have one coming with lee cronin this week where who's you know a darpa chemist and scientist brilliant guy i've had him on the show before but like he thinks we're going to be fine and then you're going to see one with connor leahy coming out about a week after that that we just recorded where he's very concerned about this and has worked inside ai and is a little bit more towards the doomer side not full-blown doomer he thinks we can get out of it but he just thinks we're coming towards a crisis elon musk is someone that i would describe as speaking like a doomer in the 2010s in fact which cited the book "Superintelligence" by Nick Bostrom, many, many times on the show. I believe Elon wrote one of the insets on the book back when that came out in 2018. And it's a very dense read. It's not like a fun read, but one of the wildest reads I've ever had back then. And it paints to all these basically like decision trees of where AI could go, including all the worst case scenarios to where like, yeah, it becomes super intelligence takes over and we all fucking die. And Elon Musk was really pumping books like this. And he, you know, he famously talked to Obama about it when Obama was still in office all the way back in like 2014, warning him about AI. Point being, like he was on record for a long time saying, we got a big fucking problem here. Then in the earliest days in that same era of open AI, I forget what it was. Was he, Steve, was he listed as a co-founder? ABC Wednesday. Abbott is back. It's going to be the best year yet. Thank you. Now we can finally turn this up. It's going great. Abbott Elementary. Season premiere Wednesday on ABC and stream next day on ABC. On Hulu. Finding a doctor is hard enough. Finding the right doctor, even harder. He co-founded it. Yeah. Okay, and that's obviously- And he left in 2018. Left in 2018, and he hates Sam Altman and fights with him publicly. At least that's what we see as the narrative. And they were in a lawsuit together, I believe, right now. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Right. We'll get a picture of them like Noam Chomsky and Steve Bannon soon, one of these days. Just white boys in motion. Yeah, that's- That's gonna be throwing fits. Just white boys with motion. But like, at least on paper, that's what it is. And he calls attention to the articles like the one Ronan Farrow did on Sam Altman, where he's listed as a psychopath by people around him and people that he's worked with. Elon regularly calls attention to stuff like that and remains very concerned about the stuff that OpenAI does. But as the 2020s came in, he got quieter, I would say, overall, on the decibel. Yeah. And he's been very careful about the decibel volume about AI. And he also then, especially after he bought Twitter, started investing hard into it and leaning all the way into it. He now has at SpaceX, he has SpaceX AI. I know for a fact, I don't- Well, now it's public. I'm just gonna be- I'm pretty sure what I'm thinking of is public, but I'm not gonna say the exact detail. He has XAI too. Right. But hold on. I'm def- I wanna stay on this. I wanna make sure I get this right. I know for a fact- I'll put it this way that SpaceX AI, if that's what the holding company is called, has actively bought some major AI companies recently. I had a friend at a company that was bought that I think is public, but I'm just gonna hedge right now because we're doing this live and I'm not positive that that's fully announced in public. But basically, like, they're ramping that the fuck up. He builds, as Deef just said, he built XAI, which, as we all know, includes Grok in building that tool. He builds Grok all the time, and Grok is, you know, it's had some weird coding. I'm gonna get to that. That's perfect, Deef. I'm gonna get to that in one sec. Grok, you know, has had some coding issues and some funny public coding issues in the past and everything, but it's also been, like, at times a really good tool for people to reply to posts that they see and saying, Grok, is this true? Can you verify? And, like, it's useful in some ways. You just have to wonder where it may have bias in other ways you can't see. Yeah, for sure. And Elon pushes the shit out of this. So, yes, on one hand, still fighting with Sam Altman, and then on the other hand, he's, like, full speed ahead with AI. Yeah. And he's coming out here talking about how money won't, what do you say, like, money won't exist in five years or something, which I think is bullshit. Elon's made some claims in the past, like, you know, we're gonna do this in three years, and then three years comes and it doesn't happen. Like, he loves to make big claims like that, you know, and shoot for stuff, fine, but, like, he's not always right about that by any stretch. And, like, the money argument, I should have talked about that with Simon when he was here, but that it doesn't make any sense to me. I can't visualize how that would even work or be possible without, more on this in a minute, some sort of civilization altering event that severely impacted the global population. Yeah, that's why we got to let them take care of it. That's right. Because we're idiots. That's right. We're just the dumbasses talking about it on YouTube. But, yeah, we'll. Yeah, we'll. Anyway, so, he's been in a series of contradictions on AI, and I'd love to get some true serum in that guy and just see what he thinks. But, I say all this because he shared a video this week that I believe he got the shit ratioed. Can we go out of this for a sec, Steve? Yeah. I think he got the shit ratioed out of him on this. Yeah, this has 32,000 comments on it. Yeah. So, for an account. For an account of his size, getting that kind of, I mean, that counts as a ratio, even if it's not like a negative ratio, because he still had a lot of likes on it. But, he types out, this is the future we shall bring into being, which, again, I'm not hearing him say that tonally, but when I read that, that sounds like, to me, this is happening, there's nothing you can do about it, and you know what, this looks pretty good to me. Yeah. And let's just play some of this and what it is for people that didn't see it. But, yeah. Together. Oh, nice, together. Robot hand, human hand. We built a new future. Now, that's kind of cool. The floating cars thing is cool. We're natural and artificial minds. She's a fake AI, I don't like that. That's a robot. I don't like that. Earth was in harmony. It's harmony. Everyone's happy, there's no crime, it's perfection. But above the skies is where we became limitless. Above the skies, we became limitless. What is that? Like a Death Star? Luna was the first site for large-scale space engineering. Oh, nice, so we're engineering on the moon, so the moon exists. It was from here. Got it. We pushed onward. Okay, it looks like a little base. On the red soil, we built our first interplanetary city. So that would be Mars, so he's colonizing Mars. There's Matt Damon. New Olympus. New Olympus. We can do better. Slowly, the essence of Earth took root. So it's supposed to be like the Tree of Life, there's the floating subway. Mars was now our second home. Have a lovely night. Now what happens if that thing gets mad? And the asteroid belt. Right? We tapped into nearly infinite material. Deep's not liking this. No, I was like, "Oh, he goes for it." Yeah. About the book? No, about what the robot does. It rose above the acid clouds of Venus, proving the harshest worlds could be reimagined. Uh-huh. Is that a zoo? No, that's people. Oh, it's an enclosed box, like a Truman Show. That's nice. Now that looks kinda cool. Okay, that's like Tokyo. That's like Berlin. Oh. That's not what I was thinking. Okay. Yeah, the red little laser lights. Now, are you having sex with robots or people? Robots. Does that create a new race? Or, like, you just empty the load? You empty the load. You empty the load. Uh-huh. And that's like a flying Batmobile. Forty kilometers beneath Europa's surface. The silence broke. Oh, so this is like now they're doing submarine shit. Oh, they're finding underwater aliens now. Look at that. So he's admitting aliens would exist. We learned to channel the chaos. Energy conversion base. I'm not sure if that's the right word. I don't even know what planet he said that was. I missed that. There's a lot of fire and shit at the top. In some worlds. That's straight out of fucking Interstellar right there. That's literally out of Interstellar. They were built. Like the circular. Right? Yeah. I also don't like this lady's tone. I don't like this lady's tone. they're the same guy yeah people hate people who are massively narcissistic set in their ways and autocratic if you will they want control and when they see someone else who wants that too who happens to have the same themes under a different flag if you will when it comes to methods they hate that person because it's really an insecurity of how they how much they hate themselves i'm just speaking out loud here you know going off a deep thought there because it's a valid thought but when i see the end of a video being a robot holding a human baby that's then revealed when you see its eyes to be some sort of bionic robot hybrid and i see the guy who owns x saying we shall bring this world into being yeah i start to think that maybe all the people talking about a transhumanist fucking psycho generation of people trying to lead us into the next whatever utopic hellhole really is is an actual accepted thing that exists towards the top there not that i didn't already kind of think that but when people are telling you who they are like this you should probably listen right yeah yeah mars old mars old mars we're gonna go to mars and really it's the class disconnect exists across the spectrum it exists across the spectrum of riches which includes a spectrum of iq okay because i don't think i'm gonna accuse elon musk of having a low iq i'll definitely give him that got very very high iq but someone with maybe not an iq like elon musk probably fair to say joey d frank yeah i don't have one like that well i i wasn't gonna say you i was gonna say someone who happens to be really rich i don't know there's a little difference between the two of you i don't know if you're disconnected who maybe doesn't have an iq like elon musk would be kylie jenner yeah well yeah is that is that like a joey d way of saying would oh for sure yeah i think it would either yeah i think but kylie jenner put out a vlog this week and you know bless her heart um i'm sure i'm sure she had good intentions with this and you know just needs maybe some better managers around her to uh stop her from pressing send on certain things but she put out a vlog showing about her life in san trope nice okay so you know just just as a general law a lot of times when you pronounce some sort of place where the last letter is silent it's it's usually a nice enclave that's that's a pretty good rule of thumb right there yeah for sure yeah especially if it's like you know that the average demographic there that's running the economy is pretty well off so let's let's just start there and listen if you have money and she's a i believe kylie's a billionaire off of her brand like yeah i mean that's fine there's nothing wrong with that but you have to read the room a little bit you have to look at the vibes you have to look out at america and and at least if i would say if i were in that position i'd say you know i'm really fortunate i live a great life i'd like to think about it and i'd like to think about it and i'd like to think about it in that type of position i'd certainly give back a lot maybe kylie jenner does i don't know much about that i i don't want to accuse her of not giving back if she does but you know i would look out at society and i'd be aware of things i'd be talking to normal people just like i did when i didn't have money and i'd be saying huh seems seems a little harder out here than it was 20 years ago yeah right right i mean this is asking a lot this is how i would do it but yes joey d is apparently asking a lot of people like this because at a time where around half of americans don't have 500 in emergency savings kylie jenner who has no economic incentive i'd say at this point to have to post content have to post long form content showing her life behind the scenes you know she was nice enough to give us this six and a half minute vlog of her life let's play a little bit of joey d so this is kylie jenner this week from santro we just finished our workout last workout before i leave i couldn't really film much of it i like girl it works out and now i'm gonna go pack let's go pack my outfits okay guys this looks a little crazy right now but this is this is what it really looks like these are new racks of clothes we tailored all of this for my trip there is not one thing from targeting in there so i'm gonna try all of my dresses on make sure the tailoring is good and then start packing we lay out all our shoe options oh there's a lot of shoe options there i'm not gonna take i can't see red bottoms but i noticed some louboutins in there we'll take that one we'll take that one we'll take that one and then joey d cut forward to three thirty on there because we're gonna get in the g wagon and then we're here's the private jet here's the private jet door getting opened again it's fine you're rich it's fine but like six and a half minutes of this okay six and a half minutes let's go to europe okay let's go to europe hi guys hello how are you i'm so good i know i know i got to go in this private jet let me just show the whole world why they can't eat at home yeah i gotta get the steps in nothing wrong with that should i fly the plane today yes you should uh oh look look gotta make sure we have snacks we got snacks sushi very nice sushi we got her initials engraved into the seats very nice bed right there kylie air the tvs are branded with kylie gotta get a little hair check in all right we get the picture right here what i really want to do is i want to read the tweet above it because i think this guy nailed it i don't know who this is it's at you gopnik on twitter so shout out you gopnik one of the filthiest instincts of 21st century capitalists is their need to retain their vapid existence through self-exposure to the masses unspoken wealth disparity on its own no longer does the trick you must stream your superiority directly into the eyeballs of every man woman and child it's not let them eat cake it's let them watch me eat cake this thankfully in turn helps distance the masses from the world of the masses from capitalist cultural dominance as they're exposed to the absurd disparities many of us would otherwise struggle to help people see and understand similar to how footage from gaza helped spawn billions of anti-zionists by turning an idea into something that that they could see with their own eyes this will spawn countless anti-capitalists as the system further destabilizes digging their own class grave one video at a time i say let them post it that's such a bar he had up there it's not let them eat cake it's not let them eat cake it's not let them eat cake it's let them watch me eat cake meaning he's pointing out so perfectly that the self awareness is at a minus 100 it's not a zero so the minus 100 there is no ability to have that responsibility and and understanding and and basic gratitude of like okay i've earned a lot for myself and people she's a kardashian so people are gonna say also like wow the kardashians have sold out to be able to make a lot of money but like let me get her the credit for a minute just for the sake of argument here made a lot of money on her brand great job you don't need to throw it into people's faces and it's a very strange paradigm that's happened on social media now there's a lot of people watching the show who have just gotten into it this year and now i'm grateful to you guys a lot of you guys are watching the episodes during the week as well which i've been doing for years and built that whole audience before we started doing the weekend show me and dave here yeah as well but for the people who are new this year and maybe haven't heard on many other episodes of the over the years me discuss my favorite theory of all time i feel like now's a pretty good time to do that because back in 2019 this guy charlie rocket i'll never forget this went on a four and a half minute rant on the ed my let podcast this was in late 2018 early 2019 where he described this secret to the world that he had figured out in the most innocent of ways that you know it's kind of an overstated thing to say this but i'm telling you the second i watched this video and it finished it completely changed my life and it didn't change my life because it changed the way that i thought about the world what it did is it confirmed the way i had already lived my life to that point which by the way at that point i do need to say i had nothing i wasn't on the internet i didn't have a podcast yet didn't have anything to go on but like as a human being it described the way i had lived my life and set an amazing example for me that if my life was going to change and maybe i was going to end up doing something public that this is the baseline, you always have to hold yourself to because not only is it the right way to live, it is also the way that has been proven again and again, that the people who are most inspirational across generations and centuries have lived their life. And so what this theory was called, Charlie named it the IMU theory. And for people who don't know Charlie, he's now a friend of mine. He's someone that years later in 2025, he actually saw me talking about the IMU theory and was pumped and reached out and then came on my show for episode 352, which was a fucking amazing conversation. But Charlie Rocket was as he would, his real name is Charlie Jabali, but his nickname is Charlie Rocket. Charlie Rocket, as he would self-describe himself, was a fat kid in his mom's basement. And he loved hip hop, fucking loved it, grew up on it. And so eventually, when he was a young teen, he built like a studio in his basement, he was living in right outside Atlanta. So he starts inviting over some guy connecting with and inviting over some guys on the hip hop scene in Atlanta. And eventually this one guy walks in there. And long story short, dude was 2 Chainz and it was 2 Chainz before he was 2 Chainz and Charlie became his manager and the rest was history. And Charlie became a massive success, all these things in the industry and totally self-made, but he'd always had health problems because he was a bigger guy. And, and wasn't living a healthy lifestyle. And so eventually he got a brain tumor and he, he lost a lot of weight to be able to, you know, be healthy in the future and help his body fight back against that. And he'd always had this dream of being an athlete. Welcome back fricking frack. ABC Wednesday. Abbott is back. Thank you. It's going great. Abbott Elementary. That led him to making a video for, what was it? $600, Joey D? Something like that. He made a video for, he told the whole story on the podcast. Just like, fucking amazing. He made it, made an incredible video for $600 that Nike picked up and were blown away by it. That they then took him, because he trained for an Ironman and ran in it. They then used that as part of the narrative to put him in this massive commercial with LeBron and Serena. Really, really, really cool stuff. And so he kind of got to live his childhood dream after already being successful in something else and getting himself healthy. And he was always a guy who, and to this day, wears it on his sleeve. The good, the bad, his struggles, his happiness, all of it. I've just always admired him. But he talked about this theory, the IMU theory on the Ed Milet show, like I said, for the first time ever publicly. And what he said is he's like, he was sitting around one day and he just thought to himself, he's like, I wonder who the highest grossing superhero of all time is. So that's film sales, TV show sales, comic book sales, anything put together. And so he goes into Google and to his surprise, it was Spider-Man. He was expecting it was going to be Batman or Superman, you know, good looking, muscular, chiseled chin, gets all the girls, has the money or whatever, you know, that, that kind of thing. But Spider-Man, he said, that's really, really interesting. So he thought more about Spider-Man. He's like, okay, average, kind of scrawny. You know, he has a sad story too. His parents died. He lives with his aunt and uncle. They're at best lower middle class, probably lower class. He's not popular. He's a nerd. He's weird talent. You know, it's not like he's, he's someone who soars through the air, like in shining armor. He's, he, he's a fucking spider and wears this full body suit and everything. And then, you know, he wants the girl, but he can't get the girl. And he's, Charlie's putting this all together. He's like, this is so fucking relatable. Okay. What about religion? So he types in what is the biggest world religion by following Christianity. He goes, okay, Christianity, who's the hero of Christianity? He's like, Jesus Christ. Okay. Carpenter hung around with poor people had, you know, sometimes where he'd talk to a lot of people in a crowd, but usually had about 12 followers around them. He wore regular clothes at a time where the most popular people with the most power rode around with golden armor on a beautiful shining horse. Cause they're above you and everything. This guy walked often in barefoot with the people hung out with lepers, you know, and, and the undesirables, the people that society had cast it aside. He's very humble. He's like, that's really interesting. He's like a normal guy and people relate to him. He goes, all right, so you got Spider-Man, he got Jesus. If this could be true with corporations, then we're really onto something. Cause you know, we all think of corporations as like, Oh God, here we go. So he's like, all right, what's, what's the most popular corporation of all time? He looks in his hand, he holds up his phone and he goes, Apple, we all have it in our fucking hand. And he's like, okay. They were also like the Silicon Valley OG. Who started Apple? He thinks about it and he goes, Steve Jobs. Now Steve Jobs was an imperfect guy. Also kind of wore that on his sleeve, but this was the first corporate Titan that said, fuck the suit. He wore normal tattered clothes and he had a beard. He looked like your dad. And at a time where all these tech companies would come up and they're building the new frontier and they name all their products, you know, Inspiron 63,000 and bullshit like that. Steve Jobs named his products, Lisa, iPod, iPhone. He named the products after you. He wanted you to see yourself in the products. And then, you know, he dies and there's memorials. People are crying. He's like this legend. And you know, for a corporate Titan, that's, that's unheard of. Well, I mean, we always ask the question today, like what if Steve Jobs were alive? How might things be different? Because he was a guy that was willing to go against the grain and say, Hey, maybe, maybe we should, maybe we should chill with this kind of shit. You know, even in the early days, I believe it was Steve. He didn't even let his kids have, have the phones when they first came out. Cause he was concerned where that was going. And then he died before, like he died in, I guess, 2011. So right when the iPhones were coming into full mainstream adoption, but this guy was relatable. So he's like, Oh my God. Wow. We're onto it. He goes, all right, what about sports? And he's like, all right, it's not LeBron's fault. It's not Kobe's fault. But like when you think of sports and you think of icons, someone that walks on water, who, you know, people treat like a god. And he's like, Oh my God, I'm going to die. And he's like, it's Michael Jordan. So put aside Michael Jordan post his career at this point. Who's like the billionaire kind of reclusive guy gone away from the cameras, you know, all that. Think about Michael Jordan when he was in his career and when he was on his rise and his journey to get there. Again, not LeBron's fault, but LeBron was called the king when he was 14 by a bunch of dudes in suits who came up to see him at a gym. That's not his fault, but like, he's not like you, he's a genetic specimen. Okay. Michael Jordan was the scrawny kid that got cut from his high school basketball team. He's the guy that had to fucking go to UNC eventually after he proved himself in high school, had to prove himself again at UNC. Wins a title at UNC, still isn't the first pick in the draft, not the second pick in the draft either. In fact, he's drafted behind Sam fucking Bowie. You go, who? Exactly. Comes into the NBA is immediately great, but doesn't get his flowers and is not respected for a lot of years. He's not respected for a lot of years. In fact, he's cast aside by the guys like Isaiah Thomas. There's even a point he broke his foot in his second season, comes back by the time the playoffs rolls around, drops fucking 70 on Larry Bird and the Celtics. And Larry Bird, who's a legend, says after the game, I think I saw Jesus Christ on the basketball court today. But Michael Jordan still didn't get that respect. And it took seven years to get over the hump before he won his first title. Then he has the apex of success. He's the man. He's, he was the earliest guy with the shoe deal. And now that starts to become a thing like big time. And he wins three titles in a row. He's like the best player in the world. And then his dad gets murdered tragically. And he has grief and sadness and tragedy on, on, on a scale that many people unfortunately can relate to. And in the middle of that, he literally leaves it all behind and goes and plays baseball, which was his first sport, the sport his dad loved as well. And he tries to go, you know, he's not a big fan of baseball. He's not a big fan of baseball. And he's playing in the minor leagues with, with the White Sox organization. And, you know, he wasn't the worst player ever, but, you know, you go from being top dog to a dude who is kind of embarrassing himself as the eight or nine hole hitter. or batting 200 on a minor league baseball team you know making fucking 10 grand a year you know he did that on on a public stage he played he fleshed out his his grief and his you know midlife struggle in that way in front of everyone and then he came back and he rose back up he won three in a row and he's the greatest ever there is nothing like looking at tape of a basketball game on a fucking tuesday in 1997 before iphones and looking around the full stadium and seeing a picture from the court of every single person in the stands standing up with cameras flashing because number 23 in a bull's uniform is walking onto the court no one's ever had that effect and so looking at his rise and what happened with him he was relatable he had struggle he was a real person it wasn't given to him you. not to say other guys have had it given to him but like they're not like you kobe was the black mamba right he's different he's not like you michael jordan was you you could be michael jordan charlie pointed out he had the song because i'm like you and he's like me and look at what like that's that was jordan so you got you got superheroes you got religion you got corporations you have sports and what all these legends of those respective categories prove is that ironically in a world where we are now living through social media as if we have to show people look at me look how great i am look at all the things i have look what i do look at how i'm different than you look up to me follow me because i'm better like a video that we see right there from a kylie jenner the real paradigm throughout history the people who live as legends long after they're gone are the people who actually do the opposite and say look at what i go through and i'm going to go through these are the types of things that all people have to go through you can be just like me that's why you should follow me i'll be an inspiration not someone saying hey just follow me and maybe you know you can see what it's like and then keep living your life that is a really really interesting dichotomy there to this day it still gives me goosebumps when i when i talk about it that's not the best i ever described it right there for sure so that was a little long-winded but amazing amazing theory from charlie rocket so when i see thematically everything on the spectrum from like tech titans pointing to some fucking transhumanist world with robots and ai and shit that they're gonna bring in what do you say we shall make this world come to pass or whatever you know we're clearly referring to guys like him doing that like elon musk because don't worry let the adults handle this and then when i see someone like kylie jenner having to post a six and a half minute blog about her fucking two-day trip to san francis and all this shit i see people who are constantly whether they realize it or not reminding you that you are not them you can't be them but enjoy the view and there's something really really broken in society with that for sure yeah i got nothing to add to that fuck him fuck him fuck him you know who else we should say fuck him too who benjamin netanyahu old ben old ben he was in town the balls on this guy the balls on benjamin netanyahu are just unfortunately enormous i i don't even i don't like saying that as a compliment the guy's a fucking living demon but the fact that this guy has the audacity to fly here to the un and lecture everyone on i can't even say this with a straight phrase from the moral high ground it it's it's actually stunning at this point because i've said this many times this is not a stupid man he's a very evil man a a living infamous devil for sure but he's not stupid at all and it just you know we were just talking about rich people in america from elon to kylie not being able to read a room this is a guy actively committing genocide and ethnic cleansing not being able to read a room filled with other countries many of whom have tried to censure his country over and over again and have only been stopped by america's veto vote because we have a very unholy alliance with the israeli government pun intended but one of the things that benjamin netanyahu and other people who back his cause have said since the beginning is that we have a very unholy alliance with the israeli government and we have a very unholy alliance with the israeli government since october 7th that particularly bothers me since october 7th that particularly bothers me since october 7th that particularly bothers me is a bar that he dropped is a bar that he dropped is a bar that he You want me to call out Israel. You want me to call out the Chinese with the Uyghurs. You want me to call out the Bush Cheney government that fucking sponsored our guys to go over there. And God knows how many lives got lost that were completely unnecessary in the Iraq war. I'll talk about all of it. It's all bad. This isn't hard, but when you have to try to say, look at how bad our struggle is, that is why you got to pay us more and why we should be able to kill as many Palestinians as we want, who by the way, don't exist. His words, not mine, obviously, you know, because we lost 16, it was 16 9-11s on October 7th. I'm going to get to what Hillary Clinton said in a minute. Cause even she's saying it's an inside job, but like, fuck you, dude. And you're saying it in the city where we had 9-11, which we still don't have answers for 25 years later. And by the way, I'd love to know what your five Mossad spies were doing in fucking Fort Lee that day. That's neither here nor there. I'm sick. I've obviously been sick of this guy. You guys all know that, but like, I just really wish he didn't exist anymore on the, on the earth that, that we all share. I think, I think that's a fair way of saying it. Now, Dave's taking the words out of my mouth here perfectly. Someone replied. I love this reply from at Terry by the, by the bay. Is that right? Yeah. She said, using the same mathematical proportions, Israel has murdered 7.9 2 million Palestinians. You want to play this game too? Can play it, pal. Everyone's got a calculator. So if you want to do that, you cannot have it both ways. It's going to be described the other way. Deep. Did you, did you get some, uh, I got this right here. Love it. Love it. Okay. You're from the UN. You're you're on it. Okay. All from the UN where he's speaking and making this point. Let's play this second clip first. And then Joey deep has a beautiful fact check on this of Benjamin Netanyahu talking about the peaceful settlers in the West bank, which by the way, shout out to seal on tour, our boy, Nolan, we got a podcast coming with him in a week or two, who just did some great documenting over in the middle East on both sides, by the way, he covered it all where, you know, it's, it's literally just proved in one of his little videos being there. This isn't true, but let's, let's hear it from Netanyahu himself. What they cover is a handful of young juvenile delinquents, a number who go or throw stones, throw stones. That's all who, uh, chopped down all of trees. Occasionally they do. They fire up. Uh, they, they lit some fires. I can't stand it. I won't stand for vigilantism. I don't stand for it. Right. Law. So we put our shin bed on them. That's right. But that's what they call settler violence. And the number of casualties a year, maybe two, three, maybe two or three. That is just like being discussed. Maybe two or three dead compared to the thousands of terrorist attacks. thousands. I'm the victim. I'm the victim. Honorable people. He's saying, pause that right there. Honorable people, law abiding people. Notice what he said. He didn't say the thousands of terrorist attacks upon Israel or whatever, which already wouldn't be true. If he's referring that, especially like on a yearly basis or few year basis, he's saying on the settlers, he, it's not enough that he's denying that some of the settlers are terrorists, which by the way, I don't know if you saw this, Joey Deef, Mike fucking Huckabee, Israel Mike, went to the, took the binoculars. Finally, he's been asked to do this. The ambassador, the US ambassador to Israel, who's in the tank and has Netanyahu's cock in his mouth at all times. He was finally had to answer the calls and go with some Palestinian representatives to the edge of the border. And he's saying, pause that right there. Honorable people, law abiding of one of the settler towns. I don't even remember which one it was. And he then in a press conference afterwards, very nervously said, and he was like, and I've said this before, it's terrorism. Even Mike fucking Huckabee called him terrorist. But Benjamin Netanyahu runs to the UN and talks to all the boomers on Fox news who probably fucking eat it up. Not our boomers that listen here. You guys know what's up, but the ones who were sitting there clocking that on Fox news, probably eat it up and go, yeah, it seems like a smart guy, you know, goes to them. And it's not that he has to deny that there's terrorists on his own side doing this. He then has to turn it around and say, no, no, no. There's terrorists attacking our guys who definitely aren't terrorists. The level of gaslighting there would make Joseph Goebbels fucking shiver in his pants. He'd be like, that might be a little far. I don't know. I don't know this up. This is just some, some basic, basic stats. And again, we've got a podcast coming on and all I'm going to talk about this key incidents and trends from 2024 to 2026. In the first half of 2026, OCHA recorded over 1000 settler attacks, causing casualties or property damage, suppressing previous records and affecting more than 230 Palestinian communities. This followed an annual total of eight of 1835 recorded settler attacks, over 2300 Palestinians, including over 1000 children have been displaced in 2026 alone. According to UN human rights monitors, OHCHR, dozens of Palestinians have been killed or injured annually in incidents directly involving settlers or joint attacks with Israeli security forces. There's a stat too, as well, D, if I should have had this before, can you check out, I want to make sure we source this correctly as well. So we'll take the time to do it. I'll kill some time while you're doing it for sure. But can you give me a little bit of time to get this right? I'm going to go ahead and do it. ABC Wednesday. Abbott is back. Thank you.
