Okay, so what then the hell is this cold reading thing? So cold reading is a series of techniques commonly used by illusionists Fortune tellers psychics and mediums to basically determine or express details about another person Often in order to convince them that the reader knows much more about a subject than they actually do So basically it's the trick that psychics use right and what they say is they'd say something about you That's probably true and the reason it's called cold is because they don't know anything about you up front and reading is like they're reading you So that's what it's called cold reading This concept was created by a guy named Barnum who I believe started a barnum and Bailey circus And it's basically an assumption about you that would prove true for basically everybody Like if I said to you, yeah, man, sometimes you're a hard worker, but other times sometimes you're lazy It's like yeah, of course that's true So what we do is we create these statements about girls that would basically apply to anybody and for some reason when you say it to a girl She really eats it up. Now if I said it to you you'd be like, dude What the hell are you talking about that so stupid but girls absolutely love this stuff So sometimes when it comes to women we have to change the way we think and we have to say things that may not feel congruent with like what we think will work But it actually works really damn well In fact, I can't even remember a time that this blew up in my face and even when it did blow up in my face There's a way to switch it on her to make it just prove your point Which I'm gonna tell you about during this podcast So the best cold read is when you tell a girl that one side of her is one way and the other side of her is the complete opposite For example, she's got a good girl smile and bad girl eyes. She has a tough outside but a soft inside So for example, you could say something like you know what Kelly you have a don't mess with me kind of personality But I bet once someone earns your trust. I bet you really open up I would bet that underneath all that tough girl stuff. You're actually sweet and caring Okay, so that that's how it works You just tell her one side is one way the other side is the other way and blow She gets super attracted to that for some reason. It's like Chick-crack. It really works well Okay, here's another one. I can tell you're a free spirit because you can let go and have fun But I bet you weren't always like that. I bet at one time you were really shy But because that wasn't really working for you You made the conscious decision to break out of your shy ways and now you're much happier because of it Okay, some like that So when speaking to people you have to realize that everybody's favorite topic is themselves And if you are able to tell something about them that's true that they deem as true They're gonna feel a lot more rapport for you. They're gonna like you a lot more They're gonna trust you a lot more. She's gonna be like oh my god He understands me and that develops attraction a good way to start a cold read is to say I can tell that I can tell that and then you always want to have a reason as to why you think that way So one of the biggest ones that I use with girls is hey Kelly You know as I'm sitting here talking to you you seem really friendly. You're a great conversationalist You're very easy to talk to and you seem really genuine, but I bet deep inside you're not to be fucked with huh And she's like yeah totally and you're like yeah Like if somebody ever hurt your best friend like let's say a guy broke your best friend's heart and was just a total douche bag about it You true up to his house knock down the door and just karate kick that guy in the neck Wouldn't you just kick his head off and she's like oh, yeah, totally so this applies to everybody I mean everybody feels that they're friendly everybody feels that they're not to be fucked with right But when you tell it to a girl for some reason it works and it really builds a lot of attraction So once again, you can sell it you say I can tell that so I can tell that you're really nice You're really friendly, but you don't mess you don't you don't fuck around and she's gonna be like oh totally You can be like yeah, I think that because I'm the same way So this goes into our second step where you turn a cold read into a commonality So if you say to her I'm the same way then what you're saying is you guys have a commonality You're both not to be fucked with and I'm gonna give you in a moment a really good way to turn that into sexual tension But let's finish up some of the standard cold reads that I use to girls and by the way if you want you can email me And I will send you back some of these cold reads So if you leave me a review hit me up I will send you these cold reads I'll put them in a document for you so you can have them in your back pocket when you go to talk to girls And these are great to do during the first conversation Even during the first date or you know what you could even do it over texting I know a lot of you guys are on the dating apps right now These totally work over the dating apps and you're wondering how can I what do I talk to girls about what can I do? Okay, here's the next one I can tell that you're someone who at times doesn't take chances and sometimes you regret not having the adventure in you To try new things But other times you do have that audacity you do take the chance and when you really go for something you want You're the happiest because that's the real you Dude, I've written this to a girl in a text and she's like, oh my god You totally understand me that's so true They eat it up and if you said that to a guy friend it'd be like, bro Did you like did you wake up gay or something because that's fucking ridiculous? But remember what works on girls is sometimes a little bit counterintuitive Okay, here's another one you ask her so do you have any brothers or sisters? And then she's gonna say yeah, and you'd be like older or younger and she'll be like, oh, I have a younger sister And you'd be like, yeah, I could totally see that in your voice You kind of have this like nurturing kind of like motherly Aspect about you and that's really that really comes out about you So I figured you had a younger sister and like she just gave you the information You say oh, yeah, that confirms what I thought and she's like oh my god You can really tell that you can be like oh, yeah, totally Another thing I do is with like two girls. I always do this. I say so how long have you guys been friends? And they'll be like oh for like 10 years and I'll be like you guys are really close Huh and they'll be like oh, yeah for sure and I'll be like I can totally tell that and they'll often be like why and I'll be like well You guys kind of have similar mannerisms So when you laugh you kind of laugh the same way and when you look at me your eyes kind of flip the same way So I think really you guys are entrained You know what entrained is and they'll be like what then I'll be like well Do you ever think about her and she'll call you and of course they're gonna be like oh, yeah, totally I'll be like well There's like a theory out there that people who are really close get entrained like you could even get spiritual with it They're called psychic Ethheric chords where when you're thinking about her she just picks up on it and when she picks up on it She may be thinking about you and then you're gonna call her because you guys are entrained now girls eat this up with both hands Man, they love this shit and it just comes from a cold read you say how long have you guys been friends? Yeah, that's what I thought you guys are very similar and Then you take that into a cold read tell a little story and then they eat it up now suddenly you're bringing really good conversational topics into the conversation. Another thing I do is I say, how long have you been friends? They'll be like, oh, 10 years. And I'll be like, are you guys like best friends? And they'll be like, yeah, and I'll be like, do you wanna take the best friend test? And they'll be like, okay. And they'll say, all right, here's the question. You guys ready? And they're like, yeah, I'm like, what kind of shampoo does she use? Best friends should know that. What kind of shampoo does she use? And they're like, um, pan-teen, and they're like, look at each other, and then they'll like start cracking up and laughing. And look, you just brought a really good vibe into the conversation so they wanna keep you there. The problem with most guys is they approach and they suck the conversational vibe out of the set. They basically bring down the energy of the two girls. You wanna bring it up. And once again, everybody's favorite topic is themselves. So when you make it about them too, they fucking eat it up with both hands. All right, let's go ahead and dive into what I call step two of this. So first you do a cold read. Now when you do a cold read, it's gonna last 15, 20 seconds. Typically the one that I do is I say, one way of her is this way, the other way of her is that way. So this is the one I pretty much always do, which is, hey, listen, Kelly, as I'm talking to you, you're really friendly, you're easy to talk to. You seem like a really nice person, but I bet deep inside, you're not to be fucked with, huh? Okay, then she says, oh yeah, totally. And then I tell a story. So if your best friend was broken up with by a guy, you go knock down his door, karate kick him the head, you don't take any shit, do you? And she says, oh, totally, that's totally me. Everybody's gonna agree with that. Everybody and checks always do. Now, quick little sign note. If she says, no, that's not true, then I say, see, you don't take any shit. You're just validating my point. So when you say one way of her is one way, the other way of her is the other way, and she says, no, that's not true. Well, she just proved your point for you. So that's sometimes something that I'll say when they try to like become adive. And when they try to become adive, it's nothing but a frame check. You overcome it by rationalizing to her that you are indeed right. And boy, you just blasted her frame out of the water. One other thing I'll say is, I'll say like see, your halo hides your devil horns. And they'll always laugh because of that. Okay, so she agrees that inside, she doesn't take any shit. Now, I say, I know that because I'm the same way. Okay, now we have a commonality. We both quote unquote don't take any shit. And then what I do with commonalities, as you may have heard in previous podcasts, is I use commonalities as the reason her and I wouldn't get along. So specifically when it comes to her not taking any shit and me not taking any shit, it's a perfect reason to do a false disqualifier. Once again, it's called false disqualifier. And what that is is you use that as the reason you too wouldn't get along, but it's false. It's like, it's very much obvious that you guys actually wouldn't get along because of this. You're just kind of making a joke of it. Okay, so I'm gonna get into false disqualifiers a little bit more in this podcast as well as in future podcasts. But what I say is, yeah, I'm the same way. We both don't take any shit that I tell a little story. So if you and I went out to dinner, I'd wanna order the appetizer. Like I'd wanna get the tortilla chips with the nacho cheese. You'd be like, no, no, no, no, I wanna get the dip with the avocado dip. And I'd be like, no, the nacho cheese, you'd be like, no, the avocado dip. Then suddenly we're fighting. I'd spray ketchup in your hair. You'd launch pickles at my forehead. And I'd have to walk home with the pickle hanging off my eyebrow. This is definitely not gonna work. Okay, so what I do is I say, from the beginning, what I do is I say, she's a really nice girl, but deep inside she doesn't take any shit. Either do why. I don't take any shit. That's the reason we wouldn't get along. Then I tell a funny story about us fighting. And then I tell a joke about pickles in the forehead and ketchup in their hair. Okay, then step three, and this is like, "Jet, I love a baller shit." You say, but you know what the good thing about fighting is, right? And she's like, what? You'd be like, well afterwards you get to make up. Kind of say it sexually. And then she's usually gonna say like, make up sex. You'd be like, yeah, you know, after you get in a big fight, there's so much passion there. There's so much anger with each other. You just wanna fuck it out, you know what I mean? And like, at this time you can pull her in close. If she's into it, maybe you like, put your hand up on her hair and be like, yeah, like sex is like really, really, really intense when you guys are mad at each other. You might just pull your hair like this. And then you look in her eyes, and you'd be like, then I just like, look deeply at you. And I may kiss you. I may kiss you right now. And then you can kiss her. If you're able to build up this sexual tension in this way, you can kiss a girl like that. Now, can you go from zero? Hey, who are you? I'm Kelly. What's up? I'm Mike. Nice to meet you. By the way, on the outside you seem really nice, but on the inside you don't take any shit do you. And then like in a minute kisser? No, obviously, of course not. You gotta build this up. So this usually comes like five minutes into the conversation. And when I say this, I'm saying these three steps. You can do a cold read super early on. Like you can do a cold read like within the first couple of minutes, but to build it into sexual tension, that's when she's already somewhat attracted. But dude, this works like hell. Like let's say you go in, tell stories, drop some gambits, do all the things we talk about on this podcast. Then the conversation dies a little bit. And you'd be like, you know what, Kelly? I just realized something about you. She says what? And then you do the cold read. The outside of you is very nice. The inside of you doesn't take any shit. Neither do I. That's why we wouldn't get along. We get in a big fight, but you know what the good thing about fighting is, right? What? You get to make up. Oh, you mean like sex? Yeah. And then you explain the sex and then, wow, you kisser like a fucking champion. This works really, really well. Now a quick note about false disqualifiers. Once again, a false disqualifier is something that you disqualify her for that can't possibly be true. And these are so powerful on how to do its own dedicated podcast on it, but a couple examples are, I'll be talking to a girl and I'll be like, yo, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait. Do you have, do you have 17s on your car? And she'll be like, what do you mean? I'll be like, kind of car do you have? She'll be like a Toyota Camry. And I'll be like, all right, you got 17 inch rims on that car. And she'll be like, no, and you'll be like, I cannot talk to you. You have to have 17 inch spinning rims on your car, all even except spinning hubcaps. But because you don't have that, we cannot be friends and they'll crack up, right? If you do this in the right way. I also do false disqualifiers based on like, they're clothing. Whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa. We know what we're getting along really well right now, but I just realized something and she'll be like, what, and I'll be like, I don't talk to girls who wear black jackets and yellow pants. It's just on my, on my disqualifier list can't do it. So it's also works into push pull, which I've talked about before. You push her away half the time. You pull her in the other half. And so all these things work together when you get really good. Suddenly you're doing cold reading into false disqualifiers, into sexual tension, into push pull, you're doing all these techniques. And as we go on with this podcast, I know a lot of you guys are like loyal listeners. You listen to every single one. That's why I'm doing this is because they zip together like a zipper does, right? All these things come together and they fit perfectly when you get really advanced. Now can you do them individually, hell yeah? So I suggest you guys just take a basic cold read. And the next time you're talking to a girl, be it in person on a first date or even over texting or even on the dating apps, throw out a cold read. Be like, hey, I can tell that one way of you this way, one way of you is that way. And that's why your XYZ. And she'll be like, oh, then it'll suddenly inject life into what could be an otherwise dying conversation. And then if you want to, if you feel it's the right time, you can use that as a false disqualifier. And then do you could even go for sexual tension as I explain.
