Welcome to the All That Jazz Podcast. I'm your host, Jazz Jervis, seven figure business coach, marketing and mindset maven and network marketing mentor. I'm here to help female entrepreneurs just like you create unwavering belief and unstoppable results in your business. You're absolutely in the right place if you are ready to replace hustle with flow and sustainability and lead with impact, value and strategy. I left my corporate career as a lawyer within 18 months of starting my business. I need 2020 skyrocketed our company revenue from 400k to 1 million in sales using authentic marketing strategies and strategic scaling. More importantly, I've helped countless entrepreneurs and network marketers to create abundant businesses that also align with their values. Inside the All That Jazz Podcast, I take you behind the scenes of what it takes to strategically scale your business. From mindset to strategy, energetics to affirmations if you're ready to create unstoppable results in your business, you're in the right place. Let's dive in. Welcome to today's trading. I've got Instagram going, Facebook going, it's all happening, but I'm really excited to spend the next 25 minutes with you chatting all things, standing out online and not diluting your message. It doesn't matter what stage of business you were in. This is just as applicable to multi-six, seven figure earners as it is for someone just starting out in business, because this is not something, standing out online, having a really strong, powerful, not diluted message is relevant at every single level of business. It really has to always be at the forefront of our minds. I believe that standing out online and having a message that is not diluted, that is very clear, that is very powerful, is probably one of the, if not the most income-producing activities that we can do in our business. I'm really excited to be chatting with you for the next 20-ish minutes all on this and giving you my five ways, there's lots of ways, but five key ways that you can stand out more online. Because leaning the way as a really, really powerful thought leader in your industry, whether you're a coach, a consultant, a network marketer, you sell a physical product, it doesn't matter. Being a really powerful thought leader is important because this is how people can land on our page, feel our magnetism, feel our energy instantly and buy from us. Just the same as those that have followed us for a really long time, they already connect with us, this is what keeps people around as well, is showing up in this really magnetic, powerful thought leadership energy. If you're looking to quantum leap, your impact and your income, a great place to start, is by reflecting on whether you do have a strong message, whether you are being seen as a thought leader, so that even when new people find you, they feel that instant connection, that instant trust and they are willing to trust you to be in your world. And I think it's really important to have this conversation because as we've seen with an example, such as Reels on Instagram, as soon as Reels came out, there were a lot of accounts that also started online that are pretty much strictly dedicated to sharing the latest trends. Okay, and I say that, I mean, look, you're watching me on a video, but for those that are listening along to this as a podcast, open quote, close quote, trends, right? Now while this isn't bad at all, if our whole business, however, is built off of trends, that's not sustainable. Because what happens if we decide that we want to not follow the trends for a week or two weeks or two months, we want to have a break, we don't really want to know what the latest like trending audio is or the latest kind of style of post or the latest hashtag or, you know, if we just want to check out of that, what do we have left to fall back on? So while I don't at all think that playing around with different trends is bad at all, I think that's a really fun way to spice up things in your business. I'm not against that at all. What we want to create, however, is at the anchor of our brand, at the core of our brand, a really strong message that stands the test of time, that is very sustainable, that has longevity, that has people consistently wanting to be part of our world, regardless of what's going on with trends. That's the key part when it comes to building a sustainable business. Now, before we jump into my five tips, I also want to share that standing out online, creating a really powerful message, being a thought leader is mutually exclusive to having lots of followers online. You do not need an army of followers to stand out online. You do not need an army of followers to be successful. One of my clients just had an almost 50k launch and she has less than 3,000 people that follow her. I created a six-figure business in less than 10 months and I'm pretty sure I had the same amount of followers and I know that it's easy for people to look in at someone like me or someone who has even more followers than I do when say, well, it's easy for you. It's easy for you because you've got those followers. The reason why people have followers is because they've dialed in on this. They've doubled down on standing out online. Like I said, these are five tips that I'm going to be sharing today, but there's lots of different ways that we can do this, but this is why there are followers there. But you do not need them in order to be successful. I want to preface this entire conversation and all of these tips with that notion because you do not need an army to be successful. Okay, so lots of ways that we can stand out online, lots of ways that we can not dilute our message today. I'm going to be running through five examples, take what resonates, leave what doesn't. Let's dive in. So the first thing that I wanted to share is standing for a movement. And before you all roll your eyes and think, oh, I don't want to talk about niche jazz. I roll. I can already feel you cringing. I get it, right? But what I'm about to share with you is going to blow your mind in an entirely different way. Okay, because niche in the traditional sense, ideal client niche, however you kind of want to picture it, traditionally has been about, okay, well, you know, my ideal client is a woman, identifies as female. It's age between this and this. This is where they hang out on the weekends. They drink green smoothies and insert any other unnecessary information that doesn't help us have any impact. Now while that, you know, and I look, I've taken the piss a little bit, but it's not that those things aren't relevant. But what I'm here to tell you is that if you want to really create a standout brand, if you want to stand out online, if you do not want to dilute your message, if you want to be a thought leader in your industry, you have to go bigger than that. You have to go bigger than green smoothies and demographics. And this is before we even consider the problems that your market is having, right? Which is also a relevant consideration. This becomes even before that because I know that you're not in business because you want to have a small impact, right? You're in business because you want to have a large impact. Whether that impact is on other people, whether that impact is on your family, your income, maybe it's generationally. You know, a big thing for us is I want to create generational wealth and generational entrepreneurship in my family, okay? We start our businesses because we stand for something bigger. We stand for a movement. You're not just selling a product or a service. You're selling a movement and consumers and clients need to feel something when they make a purchase, right? Selling is all about human psychology. And so while I have clients and people that will come to me and say, oh, you know, I don't have enough followers, like not enough people are seeing my content. I don't have enough sales. I don't have enough customers. I don't have enough content ideas. I'm not consistent. Like all of this stuff is going on and on and on. What I actually spend time with them doing and what is really important to reflect on is, do I actually stand for a movement? Because when we are so, so like dialed into that, creating content becomes easy. Wouldn't say easy, but easier. You know what I mean? So declaring what your movement is is a really, really powerful first step to standing out online. And when I say movement, it can be big, right? My movement is about women saying yes to themselves. My movement is about women being unapologetic, claiming their space, showing up in their most authentic expression and not worrying about what other people have to say about that. Like that is my movement. My movement is women being financially free, financially abundant, taking up space, being bold. And so every single piece of content that I create, regardless of the program, regardless of my ideal client, right? I'm always connecting it back to that movement. And this is a really great anchor point to make sure that you're not kind of going off in different directions and allowing your audience to be confused. Because I think that's what can happen when you are very multi passionate and you're asked to like think of niche and ideal client in this like box. Life isn't like that. Our potential clients don't fit in a box. We don't fit in a box. So declaring and standing for a movement, which is much broader than that is my first tip. My second tip is around your story. What are the stories that have shaped you into who you are today that is going to connect with your audience? So as an example, the stories that have shaped me into the person that I am today are very much focused around courage, resilience, taking imperfect action. So some of those stories for me are, you know, when I was in at the end of year 11, beginning of year 12, my parents moved to Perth. I was living down south in Western Australia. They had some stuff happen with their business and they moved to Perth to start again. And I didn't want to move. So I stayed down in our family home to complete school and I stayed by myself. And when people kind of find out that story, they look at me like, are you fucking serious? You stayed by yourself when you were 16 to finish school. Like this is a wild thing. And looking back on that, I'm like, yeah, wow, that is kind of wild. But for me, that was like, I'm at a back myself to study, to do the things I need to do to get a good grade, to get a good score so I can get into law school. You know, I left my very amazing graduate position as a lawyer to follow my boss who was setting up a new firm and at the time that was kind of considered career suicide. Right? I moved to an entirely new state while I was on maternity leave, also career suicide, as I was told, right? But all of these stories like have this like undercurrent of courage, resilience, taking in perfect action. You know, I've been sharing so much about my half Iron Man training journey and my brand is very much about this, right? Because when I think about the stories and the things that have happened in my life that have made me the person that I am today, that's what they're all about. And that's what people feel and connect with when they read my content, when they come into my world. So my second tip is to think about what are some stories? What are some of your life stories, some things that have shaped you into who you are today? And does your audience know this about you? This isn't about saying, hey, here's all the things that have happened in my life and why this is relevant for you. That's not what it's about. It's not about, well, when I was 15, this happened. And when I was 23, this happened. It's not about that. But it is about really reflecting on those stories that have made you who you are and looking at those and being like, is there a theme here? Is there a theme here of courage or resilience or whatever it might be? And is there parts of that in my content? That's what it's about. Because as I said, people by, based on emotions, people want to follow you because they are connected to you energetically. Right? People don't remember what you say, but they remember how you made them feel. And so my second tip is around your stories because your stories are probably the most important part of your brand. And like I said, it's not about, hey, these are all the things that have happened. And this is why it's relevant. It's thinking about if there's an undercurrent of a particular theme and how that's going to relate back to your ideal client. I know that for me, you know, all of my stories being around courage and resilience and taking in perfect action, that's absolutely going to connect with my ideal audience and anyone that's following along. Right? Courage, resilience, taking in perfect action, backing yourself. I am momentarily interrupting this podcast episode to let you know about something that I am so freaking excited about. And it is unstoppable. This is for the woman who is ready to rise, but needs everything to be just right before that can happen. You know what you want? You've got the big vision. You're passionate. You're creative. You're hardworking. You know you've got greatness in you. You know there's something missing in your life, but there's been something also holding you back from taking action. No matter what you do, you just can't seem to make the kind of progress in your life that you were looking for. Maybe you've got vision boards galore. Maybe you've listened to thousands of mindset podcasts, self-help books, whatever it is. Maybe you've been pushing really hard and pressing the universe for help on this, but nothing seems to be shifting. But what I want to share with you is that sometimes it's much easier than you think to create a life that you're really, really wildly obsessed with. In every area, your work, relationships, fitness, health, whatever it is. And it's not through some secret, squirrel, proven three-step magic process, you know, magical daily journal prompts or just positive thinking. All great things, but they're not going to work on their own. Unstoppable, this program is about how you can really pivot out of stuckness, fear, anxiety, stuckness to start to create the epic results in all areas of your life on repeat. Not just like the flukes, the one-offs, and the random winds, I'm going to be sharing with you what I do in my own life. I'm going to be showing you exactly exactly the tools that I implement to have created a life that I am wildly obsessed with. So unstoppable is a five-week live mentoring experience that is going to show you how to collapse time, embody the future you and manifest a life you're obsessed with right now. You can go to the show notes to check out all of the details. There is pay-in-full options, payment plan options. It is going to be so freaking juicy. This is a live program, energetic guidance, coaching, recorded meditations. Oh my gosh, it's going to be phenomenal. So check out the show notes, cannot wait for you to join us. The third tip is around your tone of voice, how you look, how you sound, your communication style, kind of like your expression, I guess, in your business. So the question that I want you to sit with for this third tip is when you are your most empowered, embodied, authentic version of you, how do you sound? What clothes do you wear? Because I cannot tell you how many times I've had this conversation with a client where I've said, you know, do you feel like your message is heard more when you are writing things or when you are speaking things? Like I'm the annoying friend that calls my friends. And like sometimes friends won't answer. And then they'll send me a text and say, what do you need? And I'm like, add to your phone is what I need you to do. I'm not a written communicator. I voice message everyone. I call people. I would so much rather talk to you on the phone than send messages. So a lot of the things that I do in my business, like having a podcast, like doing these live trainings, right? I'm live on Instagram right now. I'm live on Facebook. I'm recording this for us to upload to the podcast because I'm all about, you know, making things easier for myself as well and repurposing. It's such an amazing thing in business. But everything that I do, a lot of the things that I do is verbal communication because I'm a verbal communicator. And when I am my most authentic and empowered and embodied version of me, I am bold. I'm a truth teller. I am bold. I like to bust myths. And so it's no surprise that my top performing content is all of that style of thing. Okay. So how do you sound? What is your tone of voice? What is your communication style? Do you like verbal communication? Do you prefer written communication? And then how are you actually doing that in your business? You know, when you're most authentic and empowered and embodied version of you, if you are softly spoken, are you actually trying to be bold online because you think that to be bold and to be a truth teller and to be controversial is the only way to be successful? I encourage you to reflect on that story. There is plenty of entrepreneurs that are not bold that are not controversial, that are softly spoken, that don't show themselves online as much, that still have very powerful words. What colors do you like? How do you look? How do you dress? What are you wear? You know, I shared this in a post a couple of weeks ago. You might have seen it. That I recently started working with an embodiment expert specifically in relation to style. She's coming into the expansion mastermind next year and it's something that I wanted to work on as like another element of embodiment. And the first thing she asked me to do was create a Pinterest board of all of the clothes and colors and things that I liked. And I looked at this Pinterest board and it was neon. It was bright. It was neon and it was like this massive download for me of like holy shit, I've been playing so small when it comes to my style. And this is also embodiment like somatic embodiment is look there's so many different things that you could do in relation to this like a big part of that is style and dressing for where we're going as opposed to where we've been or where we are currently. You know, instead of saving the nice dress for the wedding or the special occasion reminding ourselves that life is the special occasion. You know, all of these things are really important and I know it sounds like it's not a big deal. But I always have people I've had people message me since I've been sharing about this style embodiment side of things that are like, oh, I just like I'm loving the new colors. I'm loving seeing you wear earrings and it's just, oh, I can feel it, right? It's got nothing to do with the words that I'm saying, but everything to do with how I'm expressing myself. And this is so key for standing out online. So that's my third tip is how do you sound? How do you look? What is your communication style when you are your most empowered, authentic, embodied version of you? And as part of this, you can reflect back to a time when you feel like you were the most authentic and empowered version of you. Like what was happening? What was going on around you? What were you saying? How were you being? How were you moving through the world? The fourth piece is around your point of difference. So what, why, how are you doing what you were doing that makes it unique? If you've been in my social boss program, you may remember this from module three, which is about strategic selling. If you've been in any of my business programs, this is something that I talk about, right? Because your point of difference is really important. There's lots of people that are going to be doing the same thing in your industry and I can almost guarantee that there are other business owners and entrepreneurs out there that have the exact same movement that you do, the exact same market that you do. And that's great because it means that it is a movement and market worth being in. However, we also want to make sure that we are actively taking steps to show people why we are different and why we are unique. So an example of that is, you know, you could consider how you do something maybe it's to do with a method. You could consider what you're doing that's different other people or even why you're doing it, right? Like from a values perspective. So if I take the example of of of my business, I really value connection and holding space in a particular container. And so for me personally, I don't have any passive offers in my business and what I mean by that is you can't just go on to my website and purchase one of my programs. They're all run live and I don't know whether that will continue ongoing but for the foreseeable future, I don't have any passive programs and there's lots of entrepreneurs that would say that's crazy, right? You've created them why don't make them available. But for me, I really value connection and I really value like holding space and visibility and my clients feeling really seen, really heard, like that's really important to me. And so I use that as part of my marketing, right? Like you can't go and buy a passive program from me. Everything is live run, right? You get access to me, you get access to our support coaches, you get access to my team. That's really important to me, okay? So that is an example of point of difference, right? How I'm doing it? That is different to the way other people might be running programs, right? And this is not a case of good or bad either, right? It's not I do this so I'm better than you or you do that so you're better than me. It's got nothing to do with that, right? This is just how can we stand out online? How can we not dilute our message? And a big part of that is identifying your point of difference, okay? And if you are a social boss client of mine or you've been in one of my programs, this is not new information, but yeah, sitting with what you're doing, why you're doing it or how you were doing it, that actually makes it really unique and elevates that experience for your clients. And the last one, I'm going to zoom through this. The last tip, the fifth tip for standing out online is to actually sit with what problem you're solving. So simple, but often something we confuse ourselves on and our audience with is the problem or problems that we're solving. Does it connect back with your movement, which was tip one as part of this training, right? I solve the problem of things taking too much time, right? I am a time-collapsor, a quantum leaper. I give women permission to take imperfect action and back themselves. I solve the problem of women not knowing what the next step is, right? I show them how to connect back in to what is true for them and how to take imperfect action and the next right step for them in that moment. I solve the problem of playing small, right? I give my beautiful clients permission to claim space, to be bigger, to be in their authentic expression. I'm sharing lots of different problems here, but the point is, my audience knows what they are. My audience knows what they are. So I know that this sounds really simple, but don't make assumptions that your audience knows what problem you're solving. Don't make assumptions that they know what your movement is. What is the movement that you're leading, right? Don't make assumptions that they know what the point of difference is in your brand. So it's a quick summary of these five tips. The first one was around standing for a movement, okay, which is just so much bigger than the niche conversation. The second tip is around your stories and how they shaped you into who you are today and whether that is actually visible as part of your online presence. The third tip is how you sound and look and communicate when you are your most authentic and empowered version of you. The fourth tip is around your point of difference and the fifth and final tip is around the problem that you are solving. So juicy. I would love for you to send me a message or DM with any sort of downloads or things that, yeah, you've thought of as part of this training, anything that's kind of like really landed for you or something that you want to take away with you and work on. I'd love to connect with you with my DMs. I'm so open for that. I'm the one that's in my DMs, by the way, so please feel free to come and message me. You probably get a voice message back. Like I said, I'm very much a verbal communicator, but I wanted to let you know as well about the expansion mastermind, which is my premium 12-month coaching container. It is high-level, high-touch, full-service mentoring and this is for bold, unapologetic women who are really ready to back themselves to embody their message and surround themselves with expanders to create some really big results in 2022. Now in this container, you will not find me sharing some secret seven steps success or pedaling kind of proven cookie cutter marketing methods. It is a complete myth that you can reach success simply by following someone else's system. If you are also not activating what feels good for you because the truth is your success comes down to making the right choices, the right decisions in that moment for you. Tapping into your own energy, your own internal compass and moving yourself forward in a way that aligns with your values, with your communication style, with the way you want to sell and ultimately, with the way that you want to live your life. Because we all have varying viewpoints, right? And varying, like levels of what success means to us, success feels different to every single one of us. And so if success feels different, then of course, the process in order to cultivate that, to get to the future vision of ourselves, to really, really lean into that, it's going to be a different strategy for all of us. Some of my clients love six-week launch styles. Some of them love to be more in flow and create on a more consistent basis. Some like to launch with weightless. Others just go straight to selling on socials or building an email list, some deliver through Facebook, some deliver through member portals, some have a website, some don't have a website. It's all different, it's all varying, but they all have one thing in common. And that is that they decided. They decided to act. They decided to pursue their goals. They decided that confidence is simply compounded courage. And the only way to be confident is to consistently be courageous, which means putting themselves in a room with other women that actually feels really scary because I get it. What if I nod at their level? What if I don't know anything? What if I can't add value to the container? I get it, right? But they decided that they don't need to do this alone. They could, right? My clients are brilliant. They are so talented, so creative, so capable, but they decided that they don't need to do this alone and that they can be surrounded by other women who get it, who understand, who are also in the arena, who are committed, who are consistently being courageous, who are here and open for the polarity, right? Success, impact, abundance, but also sometimes the shadow side of that is part of our journey to and not sometimes all the time, right? I am here to activate your brilliance, but you just have to decide that you want it. I'm so excited about this container. It is so high level. Not only do you get access to me, but you get access to my whole team. You know, the tech side of things are incredible business manager of virtual assistance. Like you get it all. Anything that you could possibly think of, we can answer for you. You get access to a support coach as well. It's a really intimate experience. It's just, it's going to knock your socks off. We have dedicated calls every month for mindset. You know, we have small group hot seat Q and A's. We have a monthly expansion experience, which is totally dedicated to embodiment. I'm just, I'm so freaking excited. We start on January 31st. This is by application only. It is absolutely going to sell out because we are way over half full already. It's just wild.
