A short podcast episode by Bryce Crawford delivers a concise gospel message rooted in Romans and John, emphasizing that all humans are sinful and fall short of God’s glory, yet salvation is freely available through faith in Jesus Christ’s atoning death and resurrection. The core message is that God’s grace, not human effort, justifies believers and removes condemnation. This faith-based salvation is presented as a personal, loving relationship with God, not a legal transaction. The episode concludes by highlighting key scriptural passages that encapsulate the gospel: universal sin, the need for atonement, and the gift of eternal life through Christ. The message is designed to be preached in under five minutes, focusing on clarity, love, and hope. The narrative ties together financial wellness, health access, and spiritual truth as parallel paths to personal freedom and peace.

What's going on, guys?
Welcome back to another episode of the Bryce Crawford Podcast.
I'm Bryce, and today, this is one of the shortest episodes we've ever recorded
because I'm going to teach you guys how to preach the gospel in about 5 minutes or less.
What are the key verses and points that you guys need
in order to effectively communicate the gospel?
And this is obviously going to start right here in Romans 3.23,
where Paul tells us that all have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God.
No one, no matter where you live, where you've grown up,
where your skin color is, what language you speak,
that all have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God.
That doesn't get you opted out of this thing that we call the sin nature.
Paul says every human being has inherited this sin nature
because of what happened in Genesis chapter 3.
Mankind rebelled against God.
They had free will and chose to reject God, wanted to become like God.
And because of that, we all inherited sin.
And even a few verses before Romans 3, in verse 20,
it actually tells us that no one can be justified by their works,
meaning you and I can't dig ourself out of the hole that we've already put ourself in.
So because of sin, we deserve death the same way a murderer deserves jail time.
That's called justice.
And I don't know about you, but everyone wants justice for wrongdoing,
except when it comes to our own wrongdoing.
We want this thing called grace.
But grace is this free gift that we want and we seem, that we desire,
and it seems unattainable.
But the beauty about this is that there is hope in our scenario.
Now imagine this.
A murderer who has committed the worst crimes possible gets a sentence
read out to him.
And then someone in the crowd says,
I'm going to do the time for the murderer so that man can walk free
without even a record.
Now that sounds mind-blowing, but that's exactly what Jesus Christ does.
And we see that in John chapter 3, verses 16 and 17.
It says,
For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only son
that whoever believes in him should not perish but have everlasting life.
For God, and here's the key,
for God did not send his son into the world to condemn the world,
but in order that the world might be saved through him.
Meaning God's whole rescue plan was for you and it was built out of love.
Not to hold anything against you, but to set you free.
Galatians would say, for freedom, Christ set us free.
Not for another agenda, out of love, Christ set us free.
And Hebrews chapter 12, verse 2 says, we look to Jesus.
We don't look to works.
We don't look to anything else.
Who is the author and perfecter of our faith,
who for the joy set before Jesus, he endured the cross.
So Hebrews actually tells,
that it was a joy for Jesus to die on the cross
because he could not stop thinking about you.
That a symptom of rebellion was sin,
but at the heart of this message is that God himself,
the creator of the universe wants a relationship with you
and wants a relationship with the person that you're preaching this to.
And so as you continue to read the book of Romans in Romans chapter four,
it actually tells us that people are justified by faith,
by faith in Christ, what he has done on the cross.
We are justified that,
by that.
And it actually says in verse 24 of Romans four, it says,
it will be counted to us who believe in him who raised from the dead,
Jesus, our Lord,
and who was delivered up for our trespasses and to raise for our justification.
The standard of heaven is perfection.
And I don't know about you, but me and you,
I, at least me,
I'm not perfect.
I don't think you are either.
We can't enter into heaven on our own.
Heaven is eternity with God.
Hell is separation from God.
And the scriptures are saying this, that Christ has paid the price.
It even says in the Bible, he who knew no sin,
Jesus became sin so that you and I could become the righteousness of God,
that Christ was willing to lay his perfect life on the cross for our sins to atone for our sins,
because an infinite debt that we have against God has to be paid by an eternal price.
And that's why it was necessary for Jesus to die on the cross.
Now, see, if Jesus just died and nothing else happened,
he'd be no different than you and me.
And that's why Romans chapter four, Paul says,
we have to have faith in the fact that he defeated,
our sin and death.
And the book of Revelation would actually tell us
that the keys to death and Hades are in Christ's hand,
that he owns Satan.
He owns the thing that you and I can't escape.
And it's faith in him, his death and resurrection,
what he did on the cross,
paying for our sins is where we have eternal life.
And Paul in Romans eight, verse one says,
therefore now there is no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus.
This grace that we so desire for ourselves
and not for other people when they do us wrong.
Christ gives not only to us, but to everyone on the table.
And it is a gift from God.
And you are no longer condemned
when you have been washed and cleansed by the blood.
And that's how you preach the gospel to someone in about five.
