Speaker 1do you know what the biggest challenge i deal with every single day of the week when coaching entrepreneurs and i've coached a lot i've coached thousands of entrepreneurs both in group formats one-to-one at events at expos i mean you're talking tens of thousands of entrepreneurs a year and the biggest challenge that i see so many entrepreneurs struggle with is that they don't know what they want from their business they aren't clear on what they actually want from their life you see business is the key to freedom for all of us it's the opportunity vehicle that we get into to make money using our own time using our own skills that ultimately then ends up giving us a purpose in life but quite often that purpose is just making money and here's the truth money is never the problem being ruled by money is the problem and until you solve it money makes every decision for you where you live who you say yes to whether you take the call on your kid's birthday no money you decide in days when you go to war chest you decide in decades so don't be afraid to go and get it be obsessed for a season get it out of your system properly somebody you need somebody you don't the most important thing is that i know my number nine to the actual pound and that's what actually stopped it running me i'm not telling you to want less i'm not telling you to want more i'm just telling you to know what this money is for because if you do not know what that money is for then there is a very good chance that you will be living in a state of confusion living in a state of comparing look what they've got look what i don't have and ultimately be disillusioned even whenever you hit the record months even whenever you make the money you're still left sitting there feeling empty that is a number one indication that you actually do not know what you want you see listen to that line that i shared there some money you need some money you don't and the truth of the matter is i don't know what your financial situation right now but an extra million bucks is either going to change your life or it's not i know for a fact that an extra million a year is going to make me feel like i'm going to be able to change my life and it's going to allow me to buy more bottles of wine it's going to allow me to buy nicer watches it's going to allow me allow me to buy nicer interiors i don't need that so you have to understand that i have got money out of my system that's not to say that i'm not financially driven it's to say that it no longer rules me and it no longer rules me because i know the life that i want and i know the money that's required to fuel that life and i think about that and i think above and beyond, is literally surplus. So what I'm essentially saying is this. Why are you doing all of this? Use this material, this information, as a mirror to actually stop and reflect, why am I doing all this? Because if you do not know why you're doing all of this, you will not be able to tolerate the highs and lows that come with building a business. If you're constantly frustrated at not making sales, constantly frustrated at having a lower month to last, constantly frantic around searching for money, then the chances are that you've got a broad, vague, boring, mundane target like every fucking other entrepreneur on the planet. Financial freedom. What the fuck does financial freedom mean to you? It's a specific number. That number needs to be engineered. If the number is not engineered and committed to, then you are literally on a treadmill. And you know where treadmills take you? Nowhere. Right? Nowhere. One of the most important things that we do with every entrepreneur that comes to work with us is get them clear on their North Star. And their North Star is a combination of external achievements that are outside the self and internal achievements slash notable aspects that fulfill the goal of your business. The founder. So you need to have both of these. If you're just focused on the external of achieving more money, you will run yourself dry. On the other hand, if you just focus on all fulfillment, you will drift and you will coast and you will not care. You need both. You need one to create materialistic tension and you need one to make your system feel at ease. And whenever you have both of those together, like you know who you are, you know your boundaries, you know your non-negotiables, and you also know what money you actually need and above and beyond it's just surplus, you approach life differently. And if I give you the question of how would you approach your business, how would you approach your day differently if money wasn't the main focus? Like money is one of the biggest things that we worry about because ultimately we worry about running out of money, being ostracized and dying in the street. Like at a very like root cause. So, you know, understand that that clarity brings direction. I speak with founders all the time that are like, you know, oh, we're having a bad sales month. We got to be reactive here. We got to cancel this. We got to cut down on this. We got to do whatever. And I then ask them a very simple fucking question. Show me your calendar. Like just flick open your calendar there. Send me a screenshot of the next 30 days. Send me a screenshot of the last 30 days. And do you know what's in that calendar? Either fuck all or a bunch of low value activities like checking in with clients or like, you know, create a piece of content. Stacked with fuck all. However, if I see the founder that is really clear, like, hey, this year I'm focused on a million net profit working 20 hours per week. And I also want to make sure that I invest 200K in this. I want to have a war chest of 300K. And I want to be able to do X, Y, and Z. And also here's my boundaries. I don't work this. I don't do this. I stopped doing this. I'm getting myself back in shape. See, when I look at their calendars, fucking dialed. And the reason why we don't do this is because we think that one stopping is a sign of failure. No, it ain't. It's about getting direction. Number two is that whenever we put down actual targets, we define failure. And we don't want to put failure in front of us. So when you put down a target, you know, this whole concept of being scared of your target, like, what the fuck does that mean? You put down a target that energizes you. A target that energizes you. You know, this is where all this kind of like, like law of attraction BS kind of comes in. Like put down a target, like, you know, you can put down 20 million or whatever. And it's like fucking delusional based off what? You put down 20 million, all you're going to do is just end up hyper fucking stressed and realizing that, hey, I just don't have the actual tangibles to actually make this happen. Whereas if you actually build a stepping stone and go, right, where am I at right now? How much time, resources, and energy have I got? Do I trust myself? Let's set a target that I would absolutely love to hit, that I would literally be content with and build it off that. Not this kind of like over-exaggerated random fucking number that doesn't really actually mean anything to you. And here's the fucking truth, guys. This is going to hit some of you really fucking hard. Some of you aren't actually capable of having the responsibility to steward multiples of millions because you haven't developed the character yet, right? You haven't developed the character. And that is not to trigger you. That is to essentially make you aware that wealth follows character unless you've inherited it, right? Wealth follows character. So you want to use the wealth-building target as a character-building exercise. And that is absolutely crucial because here's the truth. It's not what you're capable of. It's what you're willing to do. And plenty of people are capable. Few people are willing to do what's required. And the only way to do what's required is to get clear on what you want, why you want it, and how you can protect yourself in the grand scheme of going after it while sacrificing certain aspects and being aware of those sacrifices. But knowing deep down overall that your worth is, far bigger than any materialistic number, goal, target, house, car, watch. You are infinite rather than finite, just like a one million goal a year, right? Whatever it is, right? You are worth way more than one million. You're worth way more than 10 million. Your self-worth is infinite. So this is really just a spot check for those of you right now that are listening to this. Are you clear on what you want? You know, if I look at my life now, right? Like, here's my week. Like, I'm not gonna go into like the granular details of everything that I do, but here's it at a high level, right? So from an achievement perspective, goal is really, really fucking simple. My goal every year is a minimum of 2.5 million net profit through a combination of what I currently do and assets. 2.5 million net profit, X, Y, and Z. Working 20 hours a week. Right? And I take my exit from my company and monthly installments. I'm never gonna sell it because it's personality led, just like a lot of you guys listening to this right now. So I have a net profit target, and I have a working week target. So 20 hours, 2.5 million net. The reason why it's 20 hours is because I don't want to fucking work anymore, right? I want to do 20 hours. I want to spend the rest of my time shooting. I want to spend the rest of my time cooking. I want to spend the rest of the time discovering my life, reading philosophy, writing, like fucking enjoying coffee, enjoying nature. I'm currently building a spa underneath my house right now. Like, I want to enjoy my life. I'm building a life. Now, don't get me wrong. In the earlier stages, I had to work way more, but now I'm in a different season. And some of you might not get that, but it's important that you see that I did the 60-hour weeks, the 70-hour working weeks. And by the way, when I say 20 hours a week working on the business, that doesn't actually include the thinking that goes on whenever I'm in stillness. Like, am I going in the right direction? What about this decision? What are the next five things that I need to do? Like, my mind is constantly. Constantly going. And I don't want to switch it off. Why? Because I'm doing work that's fulfilling. I can see tangible evidence of it coming together. You don't want to rest when you're winning. You don't want to pause or escape the mind when you're winning. And the reason why people don't win is because they haven't clearly defined where they're going. So, you know, whenever I have that dialed in, I'll give you like an overview. Like, this is just today. Like, I'm just giving you an example of today whenever I'm recording this podcast. So, number one. I've just checked in with all my senior leadership team at the start of the week. What's the project for the week? What are the targets? Where do you need help? Where are you stuck? Number two. I've shot an R YouTube. One of the highest ROIs of my time. I'm now shooting up a podcast. Again, extremely high ROI. Every single time I put these out, I get clients. They listen to the message. They go, you know what? That's me. I need help. I've listened to enough of this stuff now. I need accountability. I need support. Bam. Done. I guarantee that I'll get clients. The third thing is I have to shoot up some internal videos for our clients. And these help serve clients that are paying me every single month. Number four. I've got to make an offer to a client that wants me to train their sales team over the next six months. I've got to comprise that, put it together on Loom, and send it. Number five. Is I want to determine whether or not I'm going to run an end-of-year event. And look at, is this really worth it? Is this really the most important use of our time? So it's essentially a decision. Number six. I have to put some time into creating new creatives for our ads. I like to have an overview of our marketing. I call myself the chief quality officer. Where I essentially look at what's already out there, look at what's great, look at what's not great, and then tweak it. And then the last thing that I have to do. I'm just looking at my list here. Is I have to. Is I have to post a piece of content on Instagram against signaling to the marketplace. So you can see across that day, I've checked in with my team. I've advertised and put a signal out. I've made offers. I've got team in the background working on things that I don't want to do or I'm not really good at. So every single day is stacked with high priority actions. On top of that, I've trained. I've checked in with my family. I've had some time to pause and contemplate. And meditate and just rest my mind on top of that. I've also had a cigar on top of that. I've also gone and dandered around the new underground spa that we're doing. And lo and behold, if I have any specific space in between, I'll probably take 15 minutes to respond to DMs and inquiries. Even though I've got a setter, I always like to interact and engage. Like, for example, if you message me right now, you'll probably get an audio note back from me. I think spending time with your market is one of the fastest ways to do that. I think spending time with your market is one of the fastest ways to understand your market, build trust. And quite frankly, I'm working with a lot of experts now that are doing crazy numbers or have got like insane visions of building the best thing in their market. And they're high quality people. On top of that as well, I'm always analyzing what's working, what's not working in the business. And oh, one thing I forgot today. I'm also speaking on a workshop later on today in front of 70 people that just so happen to be my audience and have the pain point that I said. So, you can see that my day is literally stacked. Tomorrow, I've got client trainings. I'm training sales teams for two hours in the morning. I then have a check-in with some of the teams to look at some of the sales numbers for Monday. I then have some time dedicated to help clients with certain specific things asynchronously. On top of that, I'll still train. I'll still dander about. I'll go and pick my daughter up from school. My whole entire life is coordinated around how I want to live. And anytime I put my hand, my mind, or my eyes to a specific task, it is expanding my life or contracting my life. And that's how I look at it. So, my calendar matches my targets. The big punchline of all of this is know exactly what you want and make sure that your calendar matches what you want. Because if you don't know what you want, your calendar will be sporadic. You will be open to threat, distraction, Instagram, affairs, drugs, pornography, alcohol, junk food, fucking all. All the fucking vices. And if you are going through a season of nulling your mind, heck, even this is nulling your mind. For some of you guys here, sorry, just got to say it. But you're nulling your mind with fucking more information. You'll jump into another podcast. You'll jump into another YouTube. And your business is still fucking stuck. I'll tell you what's going to actually grow your business. It's going to get your credit card out and actually paying for somebody to crack the fucking whip and crack you open. That's what's ultimately going to drive it rather than pondering and thinking. And it's the same for your market. You can take this message and pay. You can put it out there. Information isn't going to solve your problems. Making irreversible decisions and getting in a room where you literally have a gun pointed at you, but also have the safety of experience and wisdom to actually guide you to the next level is what's required. I am sick and tired. Like the zero tolerance policy for people that are like information hoarders, that do nothing with it, that are still broke two to three fucking months later, a year later. Like it's the same fucking narrative. I haven't done it yet. No agency person, a high agency person is someone that backs themselves and loves themselves enough to know. Do you know what I'm going to fucking give it my best and I'm going to give it a go. And the reality is everything here points in the right direction. I could give myself the best chances of winning and you know what my future self will thank me for taking the risks. That's how you win. If you don't take risks, your future self and your future family can't thank you. So get after it. Irreversible decisions get clear on what you want, make sure your calendar aligns with exactly what you want and go and make shit happen.
