In this podcast episode, Rob the Bank discusses his philosophy of "living for a living" and "getting paid to exist," which means trusting intuition and passion over rigid control. He explains that his biggest wins, including a $30 million exit from a supplement company by age 28, came from randomness and alignment with the universe, not analytical planning. He shares painful lessons in surrender after his grandmother's death and a $20-30 million business loss, which taught him that control can be an illusion. He sold his first company early due to team conflicts and fear of Amazon's volatility, later realizing he could have held for a larger payout. Now, he works on TikTok Shop and a journal brand with his cousin, but warns that easy "info" content can become addictive and prevent building real, long-term businesses. He is launching an app to break free from repetitive content creation and embrace a more multifaceted, Renaissance-era approach to life and work.
All right guys welcome back to the priestess perspective. I have the guess that I think I'm the most excited ever to have on the podcast. It's someone you guys have definitely seen on your for you page. Rob the bank is literally my favorite content creator, DEDAS because not only is he insanely successful but I really feel like he is a philosopher and if you've seen his videos you know he has built multiple consumer brands on TikTok shop Amazon and had a $30 million exit by 28. He is one of the best DJs in our generation and he's an absolute icon. Rob welcome to the market. Yeah there's no way I'm living up to any of that and so just audience it's like I'll probably downhill from there but thank you that was like an insane intro. I thank you for everything on one of those things. What of like which one of those do you resonate the most with? Businessman DJ. I think I've been thinking about that a lot lately because you know social like tries to kind of put us in places and I really want to be one of the first people to like break all of that. We're all multifaceted. There's that quote it gets misquoted all the time. I think it's Shakespeare. It's the Occupy of all trades is a master of none and like people stop right there but the second part of that is but oftentimes better than a master of one. So it's like like we're supposed to have depth. We're supposed to have multiple you know we're supposed to to long life. We're not supposed to just go one lane and so embrace it. 100%. Something you talk about Rob that I think my audience really resonates with is you say you love living for a living and I always say I get paid to exist. I want to know what do you mean when you say you love living for a living? You say it better and honestly I should just like shamelessly take that hook from you. But no I think you know the more we exist in an extremely abundant time. Like just the most abundant time period in human history. The poor people today you know like again mathematically like objectively are living better than kings in the 1500. So with that in mind it's like we run into this dilemma of the purpose of life. Like literally the purpose of life. And a lot of people like struggle with like they're told to you know you get a job you do this you do that you vacation like whatever and more and more people are rejecting that but then it's kind of like okay well what do you do? And I love this idea of just like following what you feel like you're supposed to be doing. Like whether it be passions whether it be you know because we're meant to create we're meant to build like every human has that innate artist component in them and it gets suppressed through all sorts of you know way you know society whatever but the more we can lean into that and like literally you pay to exist like just exist in a way that money comes to you. Exist in a way that opportunities come to you and that starts when you focus on becoming the type of person you want to be right and focus on like cultivating the right energy at home like like it starts with you and then all those other things come to you and so that's really I think we're saying the same thing largely like and I guess two different ways to word it but at the end of the day I think that's a really great framework for life you stop worrying so much about all the external things out there you know that that you want to break for you and you just focus on your energy and who you're supposed to be and that ultimately define your path. How have you used that concept in your businesses and like have you used because a lot of this is also intuition you get paid to exist like the way that I view that is like I'm just following what my intuition is calling me to do and I'm following what I want to do. Yeah. Like desire to me is destiny so how is that kind of played into the success of your businesses? I would say I probably first started feeling this when I was like 23, 24 building the genius brand my first supplement company there are times when you feel so aligned with whatever the universe is directing for you know like directing that you don't even feel I've felt more like an observer in my own life and I'm not saying we don't have free will like that's a whole another thing but I feel like I'm literally like stepping in tune with these pages that are already written and I see how it's going to play out and it's like yeah you have a decision to make but it's just so intuitive and I only feel like that when again I'm focused on me and like like the things I'm supposed to be doing and it just it feels right. There's other times I think we're just so good like I have a strong analytical brain or whatever and it's really easy to get in these deep like you know I want to run a model and like randomness and probability and statistics at the end of the day like all of my biggest wins they've really been so random like like you know what I mean like you can't you can't map it out and just all the different connections and relationships like all that stuff comes together in a way that just I'm sorry you can't chalk it up to this like whatever and all the good stuff happens when I'm again focused on on me and not trying to control every little element which is hard yes do you struggle with control oh my god I think every entrepreneur does yeah and it's a really hard one and I just think I've had control like ripped away like in really bad ways you know and it's kind of like at that point you can get bitter you can submit to the greater power that is whatever and accept that it's part of your process and part of becoming and how how is control like been stripped away from you because I feel like so many times like you I it was actually just talking about this I feel like I control got me to the point that I'm at yeah you know in a lot of ways and then the good stuff is on the other side of control and so I think everyone goes through like a moment of rock bottom where you have no choice but to surrender and that's like the real test you know has that ever happened to you in like your business or your life oh it's happened it's like it's always this like how do you 24 24 so like you'll go through some of these where you feel like wow that's like as bad as they can get or wow it's rock bottom or wow whatever and then something worse will happen great things happen in between but the first time I ever understood like we are not in control of any of this my dad's like a big figure in my life like I might as someone I admire and and he's someone who's always just like kind of made shit happen like no college education no like I don't know just grinded his whole life and like built a pretty solid life for for me and my brother and I felt like he's always been in control of everything and he had this phenomenal relationship with his his mom she had him when she was 14 wow and you know it's like kind of the man of the house and so my Nana is what we called her his mom my grandma she was like the center of our family on that side and she was she was young and like really the center of our family and she had an operation on her on her leg where so how old was I this was like early stages of my company I was maybe 24 and my dad takes her in for the operation and and like I'll never forget that day I get a call from my mom and she's you know my dad you tied took Nana in this morning and she didn't wake up and I just remember my mom like crying and it was like this whole thing and she and she didn't die right there she spent the week as a vegetable in the ER and I watched my dad who again has been able to make up to this point my life anything happened I've always seen him like he helped me get on the basketball team when I was like you know 13 like he just always would figure out a way to to to make something happen and this was the first time you saw there was no control and I don't never forget I just remember one there was one day who's just begging her to wake up like just you know and she's completely at that begging her to wake up and that was the first kind of time I realized like wow this whole thing up until that point in my life it had been like a pretty I don't know like semi normal kind of nothing insane and that was like the first one I was just like this is okay the plots going like this we're gonna rip this way on the plot and she died Eastern like she sat there that whole week and then on Easter she she passed away we pulled the plug and that that was the first time I realized that we aren't in control of any of this and it can change tomorrow and then you know of course you try to like kind of rebuild that concept of control another big one was like early January I had a business just fucking smoked and again I've been a guy I feel like I can always make it happen or find something right and this was the first time like you know had to like lay a bunch of people off clothes something down and what from it was probably like a like a 20 to 30 million dollar loss for me and I was like a pretty it was just a big people on the internet think I'm like infinitely rich which is neat I'm not I still do good but another 20 30 million dollars was like you know I could have grown and so lost that and I was just another one like we were constantly reminded that a lot of the time things aren't like the the plots gonna go this way and then it really becomes character development how are you gonna respond and I guess the silver lining for all that because none of this is like fun to hear I just saw like depressing inside but you think about people you aspire to be your people you look up to or like people that have done great things and every single one of them has likely gone through incredible like incredibly difficult circumstances and even the guys like you look at I don't know like the guys a Bezos or
Anyone like who's like a female entrepreneur you Layla or was he like great example I mean she tells a lot of her stories like she'd been through shit like a lot and that's what's enabled her to get to that level Right, and that's what's enabled her to be Rock solid and so it's all just part of the plot. I know not going anywhere It's like in those moments of hitting rock bottom. I feel like 2025 was that year for everyone to be honest It was it was this year the snake or whatever Yeah, it's out. Is that what we said in the scene? Yeah, I literally To say the least But it was a year of just like complete suffering and hell and you're you're like doing dances and hell and you're like I I think in those moments you Want to cling on harder and it is in that moment you actually have to surrender and let go Yeah, and that is the hardest thing for people like us to do because control got us to this point and I think love detachment really taught me like the power of like letting go and trusting God because there's something greater whatever it is and Yeah, it's just insane. You know, I think like one of my favorite things to explore is like you look at people and you're like damn Like you built this crazy company and like we all see chapters 10, but we don't see chapters one through nine Yeah, how does that even happen like was there something like what was the inception of this? I mean, I mean that's where it comes back to like Someone looking out for me because it's so I still feel like a regular person and all that happened was I found that Amazon Window at a really good time and if you want to give me credit the credit is I was willing to go all in like I truly did go all in I was like wow like a lot of money's being made here I saw a friend sell a company for like four million bucks like to me at the time like 22 out of college I'm like wow, that's you give me four million I probably know if to work again I should on the internet go yeah, I should go all in on this I'm doing the social media stuff So there was no like mentor. I didn't like seeing you when I just literally saw like my uncle was helping brand sell products and I just was like oh I can help people sell supplements here. I love supplements like I did the bodybuilder gym Bro thing and then after like a year of doing that I saw it was like so crazy going like this I realized how unusual it was I stopped going to the gym I hired a bunch of my friends started getting books on like Management how to build teams I like figured out like ERP systems like I just I wanted to be really good at this Business stuff. Yeah, and it became my sole obsession for four years and rode that way. I shouldn't have sold it like honestly Really at that point like like There was still like another you know like at what point do you know? It's like time to sell a company or like why did you sell it at that point? A mentor told me that If you can still see a lot of good runway and There's a good story there. That's probably a good time to sell because a buyer is gonna think that too Yeah, and I didn't like think about any of that. I was this 20 I was like almost 26 I Time like it's all over the place from now does but I I hired a bunch of my friends. Let's hold you and they were fighting fucking constantly about like the company's getting bigger and bigger And so it's like this got like I had two in particular They wanted more equity and they want a bigger salaries and I was all like I was super frugal at the time I got a little Seattle. I didn't right Pay myself a lot like money stayed in the business more inventory more this and I got honestly I got so tired of dealing with them and then there was also the fear of like Amazon Like waking up one day and then deciding we don't want you on the platform or something like that started to create like mental health issues I got this one business with this one channel and so an offer came along and I was like Yeah, and I was like I'm out and that that was the wrong way to think about it because it was a You then learn like I kind of caught lightning in a bottle and then it's like oh this is actually not that easy to Do again, you know like it the beginning stages are probably the hardest part and I had it at this point where it was like this stable Machine or environment shop or in CVS like people recognize it. So it's like if I would have like a better mentor Or someone around me that appropriate thing would have been like you know kid pay yourself way more Yeah, like you know bringing some adults to run it and like see where this goes Because I have one friend now say like he started maybe two years after me and he's held it all the way through and They're gonna market for it for nine hundred million dollars Wow, like real yeah, that Amazon thing was like a quite and then he caught like you need to take talk He's on Walmart. He's built like a monster company. Wow, but again like similar kind of Yeah, I had a similar thing at the inception. Yeah, and I think while also I Do take talk shop too as well now is like a thing side project that became kind of how's it going for you? Honestly really good. Yeah, because it's like so little effort on my part and you can just tie it into a lot of your stuff Do you have a journal? I have a journal. Yeah, I saw that pop up I have vision board book I have and now so I have a partner on that and it's my cousin who like we both came here with like nothing And he also hopped on the Amazon like train sold a company became you know successful and so he was kind of like for me when you were like that One person where it's like oh shit. This is possible. He was that for me. I was like well like Internet money is real like crazy um and He saw the opportunity with tiktok shop and he was like Yo, we need a partner and it was like kind of scary for me because I was doing so well in like info that I was like I don't know if this like a good idea. So I was actually gonna ask you like With the long-term game You know, how do you like what should the mindset be around that because like sometimes for me it's like I'm not making as much necessarily from Tiktok shop or whatever you know, but long-term like that company could sell for a lot. Yeah I think anytime you can build something that can exist without you and and and how you get it there over the first year or two like it could solely be tied to you Because a lot of it's your videos right now, right? Yeah, yeah But as long as there's the foundation there of something that can exist without you like that's that's beautiful Yeah, we're in a weird world. You talk like all about all the info stuff too, right? Yeah, yeah where it's like a lot of that it's it's like great and it's also like almost like a drug sometimes where it's like you know what I mean And so so like even in for like I'm stepping away from a hardcore Just because I feel like it's like I want to do music. I want to do this. I want to do that um You build a real company. You're not Subject to those things and again, maybe don't have insane cash flow coming in the info thing. It's because it's a cash positive low overhead Business that like you can do with very you know an iPhone. Yeah, and so It skews a lot of us into thinking like You know like oh, maybe this isn't worth it or maybe that's not worth it and a lot of the times those other things aren't worth it Right, just just to be honest like I talked to you know if you don't want a podcast with Shelby I know you spoke it or no, but I was a her thing you spoke of her thing right? Yeah, her you crushed it by the way I'm friends with her partners And her but you know like she's in the throes of what she's doing right and she also wanted to do like a like a matcha thing And I'm like yeah, that could be could be great like it's aligned and and all this but like how much do you really Want to do that versus just being like a right a thing right and it was the the latter. It was kind of so it sounds good Right So like in that instance like no don't like understand that building something real is gonna take a lot of time and a lot of effort But yeah, I mean Based on the sounds of what you're telling me like that has all those Long-term things right that oh my god This is such a trapefe like no one talks about is like with info. It's so addicting and it's so easy that it deters you from taking any risk in business ever again Even for like something that could have exponentially more growth like Haven't mentioned this yet, but like I'm gonna be launching an app and I'm like so excited about that because like the app states right now It's like huge and but even for me to do that like that was just like a calling from universe But I was like oh my god like this might not make me as much money as info, but I was like I just can't like then I'm a slave to The addiction of it and like how easy it is and like at a certain point. It's like and even as a creator I feel like you probably want to it forces like the content you make a lot of the time right and and we talked about being you know This Renaissance era being multifaceted that that's why I want to step away from it I'm very tired of making the same seven videos on how to make your first 10,000 all you know what I mean it's like yes, yeah, so Which again, it's hard, but it's I know I wouldn't get to this next phase without being able to Kind of say by that right and I think like I mean it helps so many people right like those videos So it's like I'm not whatever, but I think all of us are kind of craving like it's getting boring now It's getting super boring and I do feel like the I don't know if saturated is the word, but I feel like a lot of the time the in my world at least like the people I'd rather like invest in the few people that that are gonna do it They're gonna launch their thing and like because because the secrets aren't Really like kept anymore like it this and you know how to To win like you know you launch your journal. You know if you make a video on shop like it's not it's not it's not incredibly Difficult Conceptually, but it's like who's gonna take the action right and I just over the last two years I've been kind of blown away with how many people I think they want to be part of a community or whatever, but then don't want to Do the do the thing right? I knew nothing about info when I started this and I just saw what homo He was doing with acquisition calm and I was like okay I want to do something similar. I want to invest in these brands and in in three years or whatever I have two and in Two like one of them is really awesome like it could be a huge thing really but just run those numbers on all the people that have been through like I've only invested in I've invested in four and like two didn't work out that well and like
but that's a ton of people. - Yeah. - To only have that little exposure. And it's just, again, shifting the content and doing something different. - What's like the goal right now? Like what are you working on right now? 'Cause it's like a bunch of things. We're like, this is my- - No, I just really wanna take this music as high as I can. I think there's like global stages for me. And it's crazy to say that, but again, I- - It really isn't though. - Thank you, thank you. I appreciate that. I'll be there later. - You're always welcome. Like, we had a good night. But the energy of like, yeah, that's what I wanna do. That's what I wanna put as much time and attention. And I'm kinda restructuring stuff with, you know, I built a team around info and consumer products. And I never wanna like let go of that. I guess I wanna be a guy that invests or whatever. - I love that you do it all. And I love that you do it. And you don't look like the people who do it. Do you know what I mean? And I love that about you. Like, the fact that you can dress so fucking awesome. And like, you know, you wear the cowboy hat. And I'm like, there's like something so pal- Like I think that's the era that we're going into. It's like the people taking over like Silicon Valley are not gonna be like fucking Michael who's whatever wearing Patagonia. Like it's gonna be people like us. - Yeah. - And I think there's something so powerful about that because the power is in like distribution. - Yeah. - You know, not even the product. - No, it's mastering distribution. It's way less about that. It's like content-wise, it's like swings it back, reps. Like the whole podcast can be great, but can we get, you know, thousand of it from me. - Right, the clips, yeah. - And then what's the system behind that? So I'm trying to build like a media machine behind the scenes. - Right. - 'Cause it's the same with music. It's like the show's great. Or as many people at the show as possible, but like the clips that pop off or what's gonna make, you know, just like make people see it. - Yeah, I love the videos you make about music. And you're talking about how it like heals you. It's so powerful. - It's so powerful. - It's not like this. - No, and I found a nice like talk track there. 'Cause it's like how do I bring this, I don't know, self-improvement audience over into this. - It's just so you did such a good job. - Music's limited. Even for me, like it's so limited, you can have these feelings bottled up and these like emotions and even for myself. Like you can't communicate them, you can't get them out there. And then like a song hits or you're at the right thing. And like for me, you haven't seen any of Bondish's stuff yet. Have you? - On your stories. Like a couple of her shows and we'll go to something cool. It's like, those are like actually life changing. I was like, I've been to one and it was like a hard time in my life and you're just like, whoa, holy shit. You're just took me through a three hour journey that had some fun, it had some like, introspection, some of you gonna say a word. You know the whole time, like you didn't say a word. You're just orchestrating this night. And I wanna be able to bring that to as many people as possible. And it's a big challenge, but I think it's gonna be fun. - Yeah, you talked about in one of your videos how it's like your nervous system. Like you're literally rewiring your nervous system because you're feeling, and I always say feeling is a secret to everything. You're literally feeling something that like honestly, you haven't felt since you were a kid. You know, I think there's something so powerful about that because yeah, you can like teach people how to feel better. But when you're actually like in the moment with them, you're like, let it just happen. - It does a whole nother level of work for sure. - It's like, it's for sure. I mean, I feel like I, I your set, I feel like I was on drugs. Like I was like, and I wasn't. Or just, you know, so I'm like, there's something in scene. - Imagine if you were. - I am literally, just crazy. How'd you get into them? Like, where did that come from, the music stuff? - I started listening to house music like maybe two years ago. And then I'm at a John Summich show. And I'm like, and this is like before he's kind of, he's still like going like this. I'm like, I would regret not trying to do this. With my life. I looked at, I was like, seriously, I would regret not trying to do this, you know, as like, for a lit, like whatever. Like this looks like the thing I should be doing. And it was like that literally that day. I was like, I didn't know how to DJ. Like, again, I feel like I'm musically inclined or whatever. But like, that was the day. I was like, okay, I want to go for it. - You know what this reminds me of? I feel like in life, so like the people who win are the people who see that like small window of opportunity. And they go. - And they don't hesitate. They just go. Like the way you went in for music or like Amazon or TikTok shop, it's like you see that opportunity. - And you gotta send it. And you gotta send it. And then when people start pouring in and like it's, yeah, you gotta go. One person I love to kind of like highlight is someone who's, we live in this awesome social media era. Like I mean, there's all the bad of it. But it's also like you can do kind of whatever you want to do. And you can find a way to make a living from it or whatever. And what Jay Paul did, when he went from being, you know, he went from Vine to YouTuber, now I'm gonna be a boxer. - I'm gonna be a boxer. And he's gonna be a billionaire in the next three or four years. But to see that opportunity and again, this is where all the alpha's at in life. We, everyone runs around in society doing things the way they are because they are the way, like because they're done the thing like that way. If you just take one step back and look at everything as like, well, it could be better this way. Or it makes sense this way. And that's what Jake did, he goes, I have this huge audience. Boxers get paid based on how many people they bring out. It's not super like, you know, gatecapped. If I can get people to come to watch me fight, there's a huge check in in it for me, regardless of what people say, regardless of this is stupid, you know, whatever. And so just because he looked at it that way, like looked at it different, that's made him hundreds of millions of dollars. Right. And those little opportunities are everywhere in society, like Elon with SpaceX. Right. He was literally, why aren't we, these rockets are expensive, why aren't we reusing them? Like that was this, that was the simple question. It's like, okay, well, the map, it's hard. Okay, but if we can solve it, what's it worth? We're in trillions of dollars. It's like, okay, we should solve it. Right. And it was just literally that question. For years, they single use rockets. And he's like, okay, well, I'm gonna figure out how to fix that. Right. So I'm trying to take that lens into music too. It's like, there's so many great artists that aren't, you know, they're like, never get to see light a day. And the music industry is dark. It gets super fun. But I get to come in with this fresh lens and like an audience and some business understanding. And I think there's like a world where crypto starts to merge and it'll be interesting. I feel like all the parts of you play into all the new levels that you take on. Yeah. It's so interesting, isn't it? Like, when that's your point earlier, it's all this character development. So no matter how hard it is, like no matter what loss you're going through, you're just like, wow, I'm standing here and I have these skills and things and like, I'm gonna be okay as long as I sound would be okay. You know, and it's like, how does someone get out of rock bottom? Like, like 101, like what does someone do? How do they get out of that? Mm. I think rock bottom is like such a, it's something I use so, I don't know if there is a rock bottom. You know what I mean? Like things can kind of keep getting like, like crazier, so it's just how can they get out of a dark place, right? And we'll start it there. I wanna be respectful of rock bottom. Like I've had a crazy fucking year and every time I think like something, you know, worse happened, it's like, oh, oh, shit, okay, I'm gonna stop saying rock bottom. He's saying, he's taking it lower. Yeah. Yeah. People go through, they end up in really hard spots in difficult places. And there's like a couple of different things. One thing that keeps them there is environment, like specifically energy around them, people around them. And so I think one of the hardest things that people need to do, and this is just general self-growth, but you have to be willing to walk away from people in places. Like you're not gonna get better if the environment keeps, if the environment keeps. You're perpetuating it. You're just not. So before you can even get to point two, which is again, just remain in positive motion. Like eventually this shit's gonna break in your favor. Eventually it has to. It always does. But you can't even get to that if you, you know, are stuck there. Cause then number two, that remaining in perpetual motion, it's all about just unrelenting self-reminder as a perspective. Like again, this is a moment. Cause this is like, you know, you will survive this. You will be part of the story. Like it's gonna be fucking epic when you get back to where you need to go because you went through this. Like when I tell this story, it's gonna be beautiful. You know, and it's like. - It always is. - And it really always is. Like it's not like we're not lying. It's just a lot of the time people get lost in that moment, they fall to the victim thing. And you can never be a victim. There's no point ever. Even if you are a victim, like objectively, even if like whatever, but it doesn't help you. - For sure. - You're my favorite thing. I think this might be my favorite video you've made. And remember exactly what you said, but you were like kind of pointing to how like men, or like in general, people wanna be the one who like doesn't text back or like, you know, that whole vulnerability is like a weakness. - Today's world is like just full of, it's like a combination of validation seeking and like just finding some sort of feeling like a otherwise empty place and it's hard. I look at it a lot. Like I find all this stuff fascinating. I find love fascinating. I find relationships fascinating. I've been through some interesting things. - Do you think that certain people stay single for longer? Like can't find the one for longer? Like there's a reason for that. - The odds of relationship working, probably directly correlate to the odds of the people being synced.
and alone prior. I would, I don't know, the statistics on that, but I would bet, and that's because, look, I mean, in a relationship, you get out of one, you jump right to the next thing, there was no healing, there was no progress, there was no personal growth, and so, like, the next one eventually is gonna repeat the same things, even if it's like a better, you know, match for a little bit or something. - You always attract someone on your frequency. - You do. - So, you do the healing work. - Exactly, you're gonna keep repeating. - Exactly, you're gonna try. - You're gonna keep the same person in a different soul. - Exactly. - Yeah, so, - 100%. - 100%. - Feel like this kind of ties into a lot of things too. You talk about how, like, like, there kind of isn't unconditional love for men. - There's not. Yeah, you agree with that? - I do. - For some reason, it's a hot take. - Oh, right. - And I don't really understand why. Like, like, again, this year could have been rough. Like, it could be whatever for me. I don't need to talk about it too much, 'cause in the day, like, sympathy as a man, it doesn't do anything for you. Like, cool, if someone feels bad, like, for a little bit, all that matters is that I stand the fuck back up and am able to be better and deliver. Otherwise, like, it just is what it is. - Right. - And shout out moms. I think moms do provide a level of unconditional love. But outside of that, you know, a man's value is just largely in what he can bring to the table. - Or his ability to-- - Or his ability to-- - Figure out the fuck out. - Yeah. - 100%. I'm so glad we're on the same page with that. 'Cause I feel like yeah, it is a hot take for some reason. - I don't know why. - I think men expect women they date to have the same level of unconditional love towards them that their mom has towards them. Or, you know, sometimes they don't, their mom doesn't even give them that unconditional. - Yeah. - So it's like, I think that also makes it hard for women dating and that whole thing. - Yeah, 'cause then it creates its own little weird and like, I don't know, guys need to be okay with that. 'Cause it's not even like sad. It's just a reminder that you have to, you have expectations on you. - 100%. - 100%. - I wanna talk about manifesting 'cause you're obviously so spiritual. But I feel like your perspective on spirituality is so rooted in reality too. How have you manifested the life that you have? - I think it's pretty simple. And I wish more people could absorb this because it comes from a place. My first company, it happened in a certain way. And now in our reflect, like anything else I've wanted is this very pretty straightforward formula. You'll be like in alignment with the universe, meaning like where is your heart pulling you? And then you have to literally drop everything else. And you just have like the second, our brains turn towards something, we eventually figure it out. And so when that energy goes unobstructed to building a multi-million dollar company to becoming an influential figure online to becoming a famous DJ, that energy goes. But it's all about guarding everything else that pulls you away from bad relationships, bad food, I don't know, like whatever else. But I just know when I become locked in on the thing, it's the best feeling. - Oh my God. - 'Cause I don't go there myself. Like I feel like I'm often got, like the way music's even broken for me. I feel like I was kinda like, you know, "Stead this way." - Okay. - And then it's on me to say, "Oh, okay, cool. "We're gonna make hard decisions. "We're gonna drop info." That's the distraction. We're gonna drop this, like this relationship fell apart. And I'm going for this. And then I look back and hindsight every time. It's like the music's a good one. 'Cause it's the most current thing that I can remember best. But it's like, I was in this relationship where, like right as the music stuff started to go for me, Blondish has been like the world to me. And I remember this girl, I was like pretty serious with she, like kinda, I was like, "Yeah, I might meet up with this famous DJ, "Blondish." And she's like, "Oh, I don't really care about Orangeish." Or something. I was like, "Okay." It was just kinda like Roon. And then like that relationship fell apart. But if that didn't fall, and it hurt at the time. But if it didn't, all these other doors would have taken me. And so that's how I think manifestation occurs. It's like pretty practical, but also like having that intuitive. Yes. Oh, 100%. I recently, like, journaled about this and I wrote, "What are you willing to lose in order to meet yourself?" That's the scary part. That's what they don't tell you. That's really what they don't tell you. 'Cause a lot of the time you'll say you want something. And you'll say, like, this is gonna happen. And the loss, it comes like your old life. That you were so comfortable. The person you maybe thought you could always count on or this, that it might be taken away from you. So it's like, it's very much be careful what you ask for. Right. It's like you want the desire, but do you also want everything you're gonna lose? The pain that comes with it. It's temporary though. It is. 'Cause then on the other side, you're like, thriving. And then you do it again. And you do it again. And again. So I'll stand earlier, you know what I'm saying? And then, yeah. When you were talking about it, I feel like it reminded me of like, I feel like the best thing in the world is when you're like obsessively locked in. Like that feeling of like, I can eat. It's the best. No, it's literally the best. Like, you just have your own purpose. I've felt it a couple times in my life. And then over the last couple years, I realized the more I can be in tune with that, it doesn't even feel like, I doesn't feel like I have free will in those times. It feels like I'm experiencing these moments of like, this really awesome character that we're written. I don't feel like me sometimes. I'm like, whoa, holy shit, like that just happened. I played in front of 5,000 people. Like, whoa. Like the next day, I'm like, whoa, that was cool for that guy. Yeah. It was me. But really, that is how it feels when you're like, It's the craziest shit in the world. Yeah. I've never thought of it that way where it almost, it's like, it's like, it's being written for you. Like, you don't have free will. And you just have to surrender to like the blessings that are coming. You subscribe to the whole, I don't think like times like linear. I'm like in that weird kind of fufu. But it's not like mathematically like it time isn't linear. So there's like this, you know, like this whole plane. And I think the more like, kind of step out of it, the more you're like, literally the experience, like the observer of reality that just happens to include you right there. You're like, wow, it's going, okay, cool. You're like experiencing these moments. It's interesting. Yeah, it's crazy. What's your zodiac sign? Oh, what do you think? You give like Pisces energy, you give something like a watery. A Taurus. Okay, well, Taurus is also very, Taurus is ruled by Venus. And Venus is the planet of like love and beauty. And so a lot of Taurus is like the most aesthetic sign. Okay. Which makes a lot of sense for you because, yeah. You want to hear, you want to hear a funny story actually? Tell me. So like, I got like a deep education in all of this. Like last year, like around this time. And I thought I met like, I thought it was like the love of my life. Like crazy, crazy story that like kind of came back in my life. And I don't know. It's like, couldn't even write it. But that didn't end like super, it didn't end badly. But it didn't end, I think how anyone thought. And then she's a big fan of yours. Really? Yeah, yeah. Or maybe was because I just remember like Halloween. I couldn't imagine like, you know, like opening your stories and like, yeah, my show and you're like, Rob the fucking bank. All I know is she on fall, she on fall. What? Yeah, no, it's so sad. Oh my God. But she used to do your, your, what was the Superviral video? The whisper method or? No, not the money works from, I don't work for money. Yeah, she do that every morning. No way. Damn, damn your word for words. Are you serious? Yeah. And it's like when I was, we hadn't even followed each other yet at that point. But then I just, I remember seeing that story post and I was like, oh. Yeah, she might want to stop in the stream. Yeah. Rob the fucking bank. Keep saying those affirmations though. No, and like, like, honestly, all that there to it. It's a great reason she like that happens all the time. All the time. When you're like tuned in energetically, it's like, I can't even, if someone heard half the shit I go through in my life, I'm like, you would think, I mean, even AI can't write this shit up. Yeah. Like, it's just crazy. And that's like my favorite state to exist in when I'm just like, show me what else. Stranger than fiction. Like, what's, what's, what's next? What's crazy? Yeah. What's your deepest lesson you're learning in love right now? Even through a couple. Oh my god. I never get this specifics, but I can always kind of tell by the content stuff. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. It's like read between the lines. Yeah. This year was like insane for me. I think sometimes you meet the right person who's like almost the right person. Like, they're so close. Yeah. They're so close. Kind of the worst, isn't it? It's the worst. Yeah. So there's that. And I also learned a lot about betrayal and how it's just like, it's hard because I want to like, I want to surrender in love so much. But then when you. That's how it's supposed to be. But then you have this constant guard because of. Right. Yeah. I want to let my guard down. Yeah. I want to be vulnerable. Like, there's nothing I want more than that. But then to have done that and be hurt so much like, you're just training your brain. And like, it's not safe to let go. No, and that's like larger than norm. And then so on the guy perspective, you have to be so. And this where it's really hard, you have to be so sound and so solid and so anchored and consistent that eventually that safety emerges. And it could be a long time based on what people have been through. But as a man, like, that's your job. To be. Yes. And then most guys nowadays can't handle it because maybe something's happened to them or whatever. But like, you can't be up in someone's phone. You can't be insecure. Like, you have to literally be rock solid. You have to be the rock. And only then can that safety emerge where you actually feel okay putting a guard down. And what I was saying earlier, society's just gotten us to this point. Guards are really high and safe places are like ruined. Like, guys aren't, they're actually girls. They're not capable of like being the thing. To kind of start.
wrapping up. 2025 is about to end. I feel like everyone in 2026 is like trying to get their bag. Like what do you recommend people hop on right now? What opportunity? I think the thing that most interests them that they can merge with AI in some capacity. And so like if you're if you're I think that's where like a lot of the alpha will be made in terms of like just biz ops. Yeah, like just the you talked about earlier. It's all about output. Yes. Like even condit's all about output and nothing's going to beat the machine in the next maybe maybe not in the next six months, but the next two years. Good luck. And so the more you can master that. So even like if you're an artist, how can you be prolific with with that? You know, if you're a video guy, how can you start? If you're like on the music side and the record label side, we spend a lot of time AI music. I believe you're not like it and it's really good. Yeah. And it and it is all sorts of moral dilemmas. Was it mean to be human blah blah blah. But if you're trying to get it, like so I think taking your passion, taking something you're interested in and finding the intersection of AI and technology. Yeah. I don't like that. We're like, oh, it's you know, TikTok shop this year. It's this that year. And it's because sometimes it is like like when I was first time on TikTok shop, I was like, holy shit. This is actually like the the opportunity. But even you can make most things work always like it's not hot right now. You're still succeeding on it because you're you're doing something real right? Right. You can make anything. You can make anything like a firm believer in that. Yeah. It could be anything like DJing. Yeah. Yeah. If you're like obsessed with obsession always wins. Obsession always wins. And everyone has it. That's the other thing I'm like, I'm lazy. I'm this that it's like, no, you're all your inputs are wrong. No, this like you just haven't found it. So like rootlessly turn everything out. The second you find that obsession, you said you're happiest when you're in those states. Yeah. And so do whatever you have to do to find that where it like literally locks you in. Yes. Literally when people I don't understand when people are like, I don't know how to do this. I'm like, it literally nothing matters if you're locked in with obsession. You could do everything wrong. Yeah. And you'll still find a way because literally like TikTok shop info all of this stuff. It's like people who don't know shit making money. Yeah. Like at the end of the day. Like I mean, no, literally don't like it. Like early Amazon was same thing. I like to say like go where the idiots are getting right. Right. I was that idiot Amazon and then I saw a bunch of dumb kids and TikTok like, he made that. You sure? Okay. That's where the money's at. It's great. But most people have seen opportunity like that. And then they'll be like, what's it called? They'll be like, oh, like, it's a scam or like it's too good to be true. It doesn't work for that. And the people who does the world does work like that. I come from like a traditional parent background where like getting rich fast is like, just no. Like it's like absolutely not. They're scammer or this that. Some of these what finally changed it for me is these crypto kids out in Puerto Rico. And they like to say anonymous. But like, Ro was living in his parents' basement last year. And he made 30 plus million on Trump's fucking meme coin. He's about a house next to me. Puerto Rico is six million cash. He's like 22. Like literally trying to figure out life. And I go, you do get rich fast. He actually, and he brought all his little homies on. Like they all like, they're in a little discord server and they're like working on the software. I just love it. I was like, oh no, you literally get rich fast in this world. Like only in this world. Only with, but we're here. We're blessed. And we have to believe we're even me, right? It's like I have to rewrite that limiting belief from my parents' ages of like, you know, it takes time. You have to wait. Yeah. Those things are like, no, that's not true. It doesn't take time. Should you work hard? Should be smart? Should be obsessed. Yes. But the money can come to you fast. Everything can change for you in 2026. Oh my god. And it will. Yeah. And days, in days, your life, overnight. Like there's never been, I was actually just thinking about this one of the heroes. Like there has never been an opportunity ever in history, which like, it seems obvious. But like to the gent like my generation and the generation before, this is so normal to us. But like, I just remember I was like, oh, like our parents couldn't do this. Like they lived with no opportunity. They couldn't. They didn't have that. That's why I started this with like the level of abundance we that exist objectively around us, even with all the problems. Yeah. Like it's still really, the reason our government can print infinite money is because it's backed up by enough output and by technology machines, AI, like it's, it's, it's there. It's happening. The money's printing. Just gotta get it. Right. I'm like, when people don't have an abundance of mine, so I'm like, fucks, what? What? Like in today's day and age, it's insane. Everywhere you look. And it's always like young people printing money. It's crazy. It's crazy. Also, last thing on my end, we got to get you, did you meet Deidreau, my other young producer? Oh, he was at the show. He loved you. What spell you cast on him. We got to get you to come to the studio and lay down a spoken word that we use on a track. You down? Literally. I feel like I'm manifest to this. I would love to. Cause that like those affirmations they like, and that's how I like this music stuff. I like the I got like to, there's like the party side of it where it's like, Oh, you know, John Somon, Lady Gaga. And then there's like this depth where it's like, Oh, your guard is slowly shrinking. What, what are you susceptible to? And those are the times to make people feel anything's possible. Those are the times that have that one song. Do you feel like you deserve to be rich? And it's like, you know, like, yes, I want you to feel that. I want you to leave my show feeling that tactically. Oh my god, let's do it. Yeah. Hell yeah. Period. One thing I did want to ask, because I'm just curious, is when that check hit, like, was it like you just like got 30 whatever, and gasoline hours like that. I know being like the total. The first was like a, it was a double digit eight figure. Wow. That's crazy. So like when that hits your bank account, like what? It was like insane for like 24 hours. I didn't sleep like the night that day of like you get up and you have a closing call with the private equity and the attorneys. And so I couldn't, I tried to sleep. And I woke up at like 2 30. The call was at like eight. So I just kind of, I like literally laid on the couch rolling around. You know, the call wire goes out and then you spend, you know, I literally, the attorneys just, you good? Good. Good. There's been all this work into it. Everyone's good. Sign off. Wire goes out. I'm refreshing the shit all day. Yeah. Waiting for it. Doesn't, you know, come to after lunch or whatever. Come check, wow, this is incredible. My life changed. So cool. Within two weeks, it's like back to normal. That's what I learned about this. Let me just like Alan Watts era and the arrival fallacy of like the, the rival fallacies. So we don't want to believe it. Everyone else go experience it for themselves. I can tell you you won't be happy when you get there. You know, they're like, it's this idea that you'll be happy once you get there. And we're not. Ever. Humans create a new baseline. It doesn't matter if it's a hundred million dollar boat. It doesn't matter if it's a new apartment. The happiness returned to finishes. And for me, like, I didn't go out and I didn't have like a lot of stuff I wanted to buy or whatever. I already like lived in a pretty nice house and I bought like a Model X Tesla. You know, it was like a hundred. Yeah, Seattle tech, tech life. And you know, within a couple of weeks, it more so became like, what's the point of life? Like actually, it's the purpose like, but really, you know, and I didn't like working for those guys. And so that sent me on this two year. You want to see like a funny version of Rob. The yoga Rob was like, I'm a certified 200 hour yoga teacher. He almost ended up in a cult. Like, it was actually like a whole great. Yeah, it was a whole thing. Yeah, no, that's a whole, that's the, I have like all these like side quests and different elements that like make up. But I spent a lot of time like meditating like actually, I learned trends in our meditation and like, that was like the one thing I thought was like healing my soul and like, you find somebody where like nothing exists. And and then it turned out that I was like actually running a cult. And then that kind of like broke me because he was like taking advantage of like younger girls. So I went from like this like, wow, it's the only thing in the world that heals me to wow. What the fuck? What the fuck? And that's where you start to learn the duality of everything. And then again, you start to learn the perfect timing of everything because if COVID didn't hit, you know, that guy probably would have gotten me for half a million dollars. I probably would have like helped enable like a lot of this stuff, but I hit it the perfect time. All my money out the day before everything shut down. It was like this crazy thing. I don't know. I was going with that. Yoga Rob was lit. Yeah. So I got all this money and I started doing yoga for like for years. Yeah. And then you rush like you rush really quick like that's not the it's like super important. Everyone needs money. Like it's like the kind of thing. Having money is not everything not having it is. So I'm always respectful of that. You got to get to a certain point. But then from there, it's all like purpose and like like how are you feeling your time? I was I was 27. It's like I'm not retired. I have hopefully a long time in front of me. What do I want to do with that? And that's why I do think enabled me to like you know when I saw music. I was like oh I regret not doing this. Yeah. Going for it. So real. I feel like when you hit like that number that you like have petatized for so long, that's when like your purpose is really tested. Yeah. Oh my god. Like okay and now what? And that's like honestly for me like whenever I've hit like a major milestone, I actually end up like really depressed because I'm like. It's that arrival thing. It's the right. And I think I think people ask me what are your goals and I like to kind of fire back. I don't think goals make sense because this whole thing it's not a journey. You're not going somewhere. It's literally a dance. Life is a dance. And so you want to just be going to be enjoying it. You want to be in tune with it. You want to be hearing the song and like the goals will play out chapter by chapter. But like we shouldn't be and like there's nuance to that right. We should still have something we want to do. Obviously. But it's when we attach to these things and make them like the soul, whatever. That's where it's like it doesn't make any sense. We're just setting yourself up for for a mental state that isn't conducive of a good life. 100% I almost like
to view it more as like, instead of like, I, well, 'cause I believe in love detachment so much, instead of being like, I want this and I need this, I'm like, it's just inevitable when I'm following my intuition in my opinion. - And that's a thousand percent way. And you start feeling it. It's not even like you writing the thing, you're just like, I feel like I'm gonna play huge stages. And that's not something, I don't think I'm consciously choosing that, I just think that's written for me. Like I just, I think that's where I'm going. - That is so good. That is so good. And when you know that, like nothing - It's different. - It's different. - 'Cause you're still gonna experience the same, like, you have fucked up, it should happen, but you still, you know. - You know? - You know, there's a level of certainty. - Well, aren't topped into that, I think. - No, most people aren't. And that's the hard part. You have to like, for every reason, we were blessed with a path that opened our eyes to this. And we'd do our best to bring it to other people. And it's good. But I do think that's like, like a key thing to know, most people don't think like that at all, at all. And the more we can, for various reasons, right? Like, and we're generally so powerful. I want people to leave a show of mine feeling like that. Like I couldn't communicate it to them what it meant to detach and feel their purpose. But man, maybe a couple of hours in there and they walk out and they're like, oh, I just, all of a sudden the stress of that. And you notice people just are in their head about stupid shit all the time. - Right. - Stuff that doesn't matter at all. And I think that's like, maybe they walk out of a show and all of a sudden the thing that was on their mind before lunch break all day, that was ruining their day, they realized how stupid it was. It literally doesn't matter. And then they realize like, oh, if they do launch that product on Amazon in the evenings or whatever, and it doesn't go well, like whatever. - Whatever. - They want to do it. They feel in their heart and they keep silencing that voice. I want people to break through those conditions. - Yes. And when the fulfillment becomes the reward and like the currency you're going by, it's like so good. - It hits it. - It hits it. - You want to do something and they're like, well, what if this goes wrong or like, how do I do this? And I'm like, does any of that matter if you're insanely fulfilled with what you're creating? - No, it doesn't. - It literally doesn't. - It doesn't, because none of it matters. It only matters if you set this falsified arrival point. - And the paradox is like when you actually don't give a fuck is when you're like playing on worldwide stages and shit pops off so it's insane. Is there anything that you, if there's like one thing you want to leave the audience with? - Stop fucking carrying so much. It doesn't matter. - It doesn't matter. Respectfully. - Respectfully. - And it's going to happen exactly how it needs to. - Period. Thank you for coming on the pod. - Thank you for having me. - Where can everyone find you? - Rob the bank on. - Everything. - Somewhere. - And what do you have shows coming up? - Yeah. Yeah. I'm super excited Friday. This won't be all by then. Yeah. January I have a bunch of stuff. Festival Puerto Rico, you should come to that. - Oh my God, that would be so. - Festival Puerto Rico, we run part two. - Two. - Yeah, no, yeah, we actually were talking. - What is it? - January 13th. - Oh my God, I was so calm. - Yeah, it would be cold here. - Cold out so calm. - Yeah, yeah. - That's a big one. - His shows are literally the best ever. - And I think they'll keep getting better. So, I appreciate you for room.
