How to elevate all the people who oppose you

Alright, today's class we're going to do two incredible concepts. We have a little more time today, and you have to really, really, this class today, you really, really have to take it into your heart. This book I ended up picking up this book in Israel. It's called "You Are Where You Hate." This book is by Sarah Yuhdi China. There's an incredible, incredible teachings here by the boss Shem Tov. Stuff that I haven't seen before, etc. I got it in Israel. But before we get to that class, we're going to talk about this incredible teaching by Ramnahan, lesson 136. He's first says, "This is what our sages teach us." Judge Alman favorably, when a person, first he starts, he brings Prikiavus. We know that right now we have to read Prikiavus because it's a time to a lot of unity. It says, "Do not judge your fellow until you reach this place." Okay, what does that really mean? It's a very deep line. Number one, obviously, judgment doesn't belong to us. Judgment belongs to God. And somehow, this is just, think about it, just practically, think about how much we judge God, how much we judge ourselves, how much judge others. It's so much judgment and not so much compassion and love. We need to make the switch. This is what gets us into the problems. This is what our sages teach us. Judge Alman favorably, when a person experienced opposition, he must search out some merit in his fellow. In this, his fellow who opposes him in order to judge him favorably. I mean, imagine somebody opposes you, somebody who's against you, somebody's sowing you. You have to go find good points in them. And this is so counter to it, normally revenge, etc., Pak Bad, etc. That's the ego. That's the gravity of the ego that goes straight to that place. Stripe cannot be avoided for one or two reasons. It could be that your fellow is more advanced than you. So his fellow opposes him because he has not attained his level. It could be that you're the person you're the one opposing. Maybe you're jealous, you're not in his level. That means you gotta get to work. You gotta get to work. Not hate the person. Instead, the worst thing we could do is hate people who are doing better than us spiritually. Even physically, imagine going to the gym and hating, I can't stand this guy in such great shape as idiot. Go work out, get in shape and be like him. People should, all jealousy is blocked inspiration, by the way. All jealousy is blocked inspiration. That's what it is. Malrabin says that. In which case he has no endeavor to so too, so too he can achieve his fellow level, as level level, in order that he might be equal as him. And this way there's no strife. So basically if you go to his level, everybody will be equal, there'll be no strife. Or sometimes it's the reverse. That he is more advanced than his fellow. You're doing better than a person. And a person hates you because they're jealous of you. So then you have to go and try to elevate that person to your level. We really have to believe this. We really have to believe that we are all on the same boat. If you decide to go drill a hole in your cabin, I can't just say what's the who cares. He's just in his cabin that he's drilling the hole. No, the whole boat's six. Understand? October 7th is a wake up call telling us, hey, you're all. You were all responsible for each other. We are all. This is a collective issue. This is not, I'm good. My problem is not your problem. Everybody's problem. October 7th to tell you, oh, it's not, Israel's problem is Israel. No, no, it's an America problem too. It's a London problem. Did you ever see that? Did you ever think you would be dealing with college campuses and so much interest? And so it's never from a club, from an Israeli attack? Yes, it's everybody's problem. God is showing us this. This is all everybody's connected. Everybody. You can't just say anymore. I'm good. Who cares about him? No, we have to be bothered by the fact that somebody is not doing well. You have to be bothered. You have to elevate them and lift them up. Or sometimes the reverse is too. So what happens person is a judge himself. A favor. And you have to judge the person to your merits and you have to bring them up. That's giving, by the way. That's giving. For strife is only because each one is different than the other. Either the fellow is more advanced than him or he's more advanced than the fellow. But if they were both in one place on the same level, there would be no strife. And then there would be complete, complete, single, it would be one issue, it would be unity, it would be peace. This is the meaning. Do not judge your fellow until you reach his place. Get it? Until he's got to your place, do not judge him. Because if you judge him, he will never reach your place. And ultimately you want to make people better. I always want people, for example, if we're doing these podcasts to get likes and to get fans. This is nonsense. I want people to make sure that they get that so they can make the world better. So that we can all win. It's not about me succeeding. And if the coach is succeeding and the players are not succeeding, then we've got a problem. Coach gets fired. The whole team has to win. In other words, you should endeavor to be with him in one place on the same spiritual level, either from one or two perspectives. As a result, there will be no strife. For within a single entity, strife does not apply. But by elevating his fellow to the side of merit, it is possible this fellow will relent. And there will be no further strife, or he will experience a fall. For just quite possibly that judging your heaping colds fire upon your head by judging yourself favorably. This is the meaning of judging your fruit. Judging all men favorably, specifically judge, because it's actually judgment and justice. For it is known that before ascending to any spiritual level, a person is judged. Therefore, by judging him favorably, you can actually elevate the person. So the most common question that you get in life. What happens if one spouses on a higher spiritual level than the other one? What should you be doing? Should you be judging them and criticizing them and giving them negativity? Or should you be rising them at the level? That means the person on a higher spiritual level has to do the majority of the work lifting that person up and judging themselves favorably. Because the whole point of being more spiritual is not so ubiqu-- so you could be more judgmental. The whole point of becoming more spiritual is so you can bring others up. And you could see the good points that other people don't see. So that is the Torah. So you understand how this is exactly going to mimic what we're going to talk about now. And why we have such opposition. And why we have to go through these things, etc. in our lives. So remember this concept. Our job is to bring people up, not criticize and put them down. So this book is really, really incredible. You are what you hate. A spiritual approach to enemies. Or to people who oppose you. We've said many times that Ramachman used to go to Ramachman. He says, "Listen, I have so many enemies. What am I going to do?" Ramachman will always tell him, "Put yourself, make yourself into nothing. Get your place to such a place of surrender that nobody can affect you. We have enemies more than ever today. Not only do we have enemies, but we're constantly in war. It's a constant war. So how do we fix this? And what is the real purpose of all of this, etc.? So we're going to pick a chapter up and down Salmets. And this is what he's taking. He's taking a lot of the teachings of the Balsamta from the Kormana Rebi. Basically, what he's saying here is that we are all connected. And we all have sparks over our souls. Our job is to elevate the sparks. Because what happens is, is enemies hold fallen slivers of our souls. I mean, your enemy has a part of your soul. It's strange sparks that we do not recognize this pieces of our own self. They have chosen us as their opponent because they are trying in a deluded way to connect back to the root, which is really us. The spark of ourselves inside the enemy must be recovered. Incredible concept, by the way. We cannot complete our life's mission until we have collected all the scattered pieces of ourselves, including those currently embedded in our enemy soul. The question becomes, how do we protect ourselves and reclaim our sparks? And what is the most spiritual, productive way to succeed at this paradoxical mission? It's completely paradise. So, you understand the concept. So, the evil has to exist, like we said, and because one that person has a spark of your soul has to be captured. It's almost like you have to go into raven, go capture the hostage. It's your part of you, but you have to go into the darkness and go get it. You understand? It's almost like a hostage mission, but you're here, you're retrieving the other part of your soul. It's almost incredible what we see in the world. We're retrieving hostages. It's like we have to go to the evil and retrieve the hostage. We have to go and retrieve the hostage, which is really our hostage. But this is exactly what's happening on a spiritual realm with us. So, he says here, and there's a chart here that's incredible. When I saw this chart, it's a picture. And this is like, wow, oh my god. The picture itself, I'm going to try to, the picture is not the nicest, but I'm going to try to get somebody, one of my guys to draw it up and put it on Instagram to show people it's incredible. So basically it shows like either it shows a mirror and a glass Right, and it shows one person Let's add to you and your enemies on the other side or the person antagonizing you the person bothering you etc. On the other side and there's three scenarios the first scenario Is who do you see which is the scenario of a cute projection? What do you see and the other on the other side you see a picture of you? That's the projection the second scenario which is uncomfortable Which is a little better which is intro psychic content? That means you basically what you're doing is now instead of seeing your projection of your image You're seeing the evil inclination that's causing this And Stan let's say you have a shallow bite issue in your life Okay, first what do you see you see your own projection? The second type which is better than the first is to see that it's a satan trying to destroy your marriage It's the evil inclination trying to destroy it. So you don't see me or her or you you see the satan He's the one causing the problem And the third one is the glass Where you see that that person is antagonizing you is a reflection of themselves not about you So you see the third you see that in the third person you see that person's hurting and They're just trying to they don't know they're in pain and they're taking it on you So it's not even about you the third is the best scenario You got it the third scenario is this person is attacking you. It's all in your projection the second one You recognize this is a ton the third will you recognize a person's heart? on the other side That's clarity that's what you see it as a glass not a mirror our job is to turn it into Not it should not be a mirror should be glass You could see through people you could see understand people not see your own reflection of your problems But if you're so if we're so full of ourselves will always see their own picture around our mirror All you're seeing is the mirror what you need to do is you need to turn the mirror into the glass Which is wow? Oh That means take out your emotions take out your you know do the do the inner work To recognize this person is just treating you the way because that's the way that's that they're hurting right now It's not anything to do with you You're just being you're just being dumped on you're just being the person that is the case that by the way That's healing that's what all healing happens healing happens when you see the same situations in glass instead of a mirror You recognize it's that person's issue that person's hurting that person's angry doesn't mean I'm bad It's the the mirrors we always we always think we'll replay myself or the second Alicia at first you have to get out of projection Then you have to recognize it's a satan making the dead images it's your ego causing us not not and the third one is obviously seeing The best case scenario is recognize their issue is their issue. I shouldn't take it so personally So it's a very deep concept just to understand that concept We have to get to the glass not to the mirror the mirrors are probably because all you you never fixed it and you're always Blending them we have to get into the glass because once you did the inner work once I start understanding people While I'm just while I'm judging people I'm in the mirror But once I move from judgment to understanding Then all of a sudden the mirror becomes a glass and the more I work on it the more clarity I get So what is he saying here? This is why this is so deep you have to first absorb this teaching and then you have to a little by little internalize it because it's very very deep Evil this evil distinguishers good in the sense if there was no evil in villains in the world that were not possible to recognize Virtue at all if everybody was let's say everybody's milk and goat and Switzerland and there's no crime Like for example, you got to Dubai. There's no crime. There's zero crime So you don't even know what crime looks like you understand so it's almost like you don't even you start I don't even know we don't even know criminals it becomes such a norm that there's no crime You got it? So the people cannot say oh what a great what a you can't basically the bottom line is you can't go to Dubai and say what a great cop There is here. That's it. You'll get rid of the addiction. You give a cocaine out of Kegel. Here's a thousand kilos of cocaine, but you're not going to have any cravings. You know what I'll tell you? I don't want anyone. I don't want anyone. Go give a person a, he's craving the donut. Give him a thousand donuts. It'll be so nauseous for the donut. So you won't even have any. You lost a craving. There's no craving. There's no stress. There's no sugar rush. There's no opt. There's no the drive. Whatever whatever a person's cravings are. But you have to understand that evil is actually allowing good to exist. The implication is profound. When evil is viewed in a larger perspective, which is including the long chain of cause and effect initiated, we always find that evil at the end of the day did good. Shabbat-hai-svi was evil. And once you're humble, your ego is no longer, you know, how proud can you be when you're broke and you're able to hit rock bottom? And that's when the God gets the greatest out of you. So what he's saying here, always eventually evil expands consciousness. Think about that. The goal is expansion of consciousness. Right? So if we're going through evil, if we're going through this test, right? Then all of a sudden we become much greater in the test. So after people go through trauma, the purpose is for them to come so much greater. You're not supposed to be in trauma for 20 years. You're not supposed to be in this problem forever. You're so it's a test. It's a temporary situation in your life that you have to overcome. Just as when a person finds himself confronting evil, he if he can hold his own and pass the test and not allow himself to be drawn to evil, he can elevate his soul to the levels of divine inspiration. God is one and there's nothing wrong with one. But the second step is to know this in a very difficult moment that we're going through. This has a tremendous potential for good. The third step is to know that this challenge, which contains a hidden spark in divinity, will definitely succeed in actualizing its potential for good. When? Depends on how quick we do the work. So technically, if we want, but we're whatever we went through on October 7th, the light that's going to come from this October 7th, you cannot imagine the light that's going to come from it. There's a huge light that's going to come from it. But only if we're getting the only forgetting, forgetting the point of what has to be done. And this virtue is acquired by passing the test of life. Without passing the test, we can't get to this concept. This means that the challenge is also good because it carried a life in Nisayan, it made you higher, it brought you up and elevated you. Nisayan became the nests, and it elevated you. Why? Because eventually you see that the evil is actually for the good. The precious treasure never continues to be a gift. Obviously, so God puts us to release tests and the reason why we have to go through tests is obviously to elevate everything back to good. Enemies are an antidote for pride. Then he talks about this line here is, it's like, he says a line here, that the reason why we have these tests and we have these extra is because we have arrogance. There's a form of a little bit of arrogance. Every time in the line she gives or blind he gives is that honey draws, like just like honey draws to bees, arrogance draws enemies. Just like bees are drawn to honey, enemies are drawn to arrogant people. Any form of arrogance that we have in our lives is something God completely despises. What is the biggest form of arrogance today? In gratitude. In gratitude. Complaining. It's the biggest form of arrogance. So what's going to happen? The more of the thing she can plan about, you're just inviting a lot of enemies in your life. Is that you ever see that? No, we never saw that angle. How come people could say, how come you never heard the story? How did you get out of this problem? I complained so much. I just magically took me out. What does it ever work? Only when people say I changed my perspective. I became more grateful. I humbled up. When do you ever hear of complaining? Do you understand how bad complaining is? It's in gratitude and it's arrogance. So what happens? You have arrogance? No problem. I'm going to send you a lot of enemies. You're going to draw enemies just like honey. Imagine all of a sudden you're going and you know there's a trap of honey and you have some honey on you. You have some honey on you. You would clean that honey immediately before you're going to go walk in front of a hive of a bee hive. Would you? That's how we have to walk around. We have to pretend like there's bees all over the place and if I don't get rid of this honey, they're going to attack me. Walking with honey on your arm and say, I don't understand when other bees came and vid me. It's stupidity. That's an incredible angle. This is why Rebnochman says when a person is a reason why a person has a lot of enemies also is because he's in a state of control. So we control in this situation. So to the extent that we are arrogant, which is control, which is self-centeredness, which is in gratitude, which is complaining, which is not believing. We will have enemies. We will have spiritual enemies and we will also have a physical enemies. And the bottom line is you will have enemies as long as you have this issue. So think about how because at the end of the day, what do we see when we have enemies? What do we want? If we're in an ego state, we want revenge. At the end of the day, if you're smart, you want peace. Because peace means blessing. Peace means wealth. Peace means health. So if you're not thinking right, then we're not getting the bigger picture. Again, we're all driven by emotion. But this is why if you think about it. Just like we just read Mukutem or Anbi, we should all be right now. We should all go outside and say, "Greeter, the world, let me start praying for my enemies. Let me start praying for my people who are in a low and removed jealousy for me. I don't want these headaches." This applies to all of our impulse. Arrogance, idolaters, thoughts, arrogance, for example, and drive over others, cavaud, all of this, the more you seek honor, all of this is a form of fact. These are all enemies and they're all rooted in narcissism, which is idolatry, which is arrogance. Arrogance is to drive for power status, etc. And the more we have this arrogance, one of you better than everybody want to talk about about other people already, you will have a lot of enemies. And just like the same way, this is exactly what we're hitting in every single particle of humates, which is an ego inflation, must be searched and must be destroyed. Hashem has zero tolerance for idolatry and he has zero tolerance for arrogance. This is why you understand how important from this line. This is why you can make mistakes. You take responsibility. You say, "I'm sorry, that's it." It's what you say. "I hate my rabbi. You're a human being. You have top of you have an evil inclination, you have all kinds of issues, aviates a hara, and don't justify why you did something. Right? Anytime we justify why we did it, like the same shall and by thing, two things. I love you, or I'm sorry. Third thing is, and you're right. Okay? At the end of the day, we don't want to fuel the fire. So, the more we resist things, and we actually are fueling the fire, we're adding honey, we're adding more honey, and we're getting constantly bitten in our lives. Through this, maybe we have to control it, because God has zero. And what happens is, is as you get, what are you saying here? Is as you get higher and higher, for example, Moistrebein or Hattbilla, as an enemy. As you get higher and higher, then, for example, if I have a white shirt, a black spot, it's going to show up. So, this is not, it doesn't go away. You become cleaner, you become more spiritual, you have to even be better. So, this is, it's not like it's, okay, it passed the first grade, and we're good. No, it goes with, this is why it's a deacon. You know, the small mistakes of very righteous people get Moistrebein or small mistakes become issues. And it's very, you know, it's tough to deal with this. But at the end of the day, this is why what the deacon is, what the deacon is of all of us, is because that person has, has a spark of yours that you need to retrieve, you have to pray for them now. You have to elevate them and pray for them. You have to pray that the real true sense comes out. And this is where humility, a spiritual path, we're going against your ego. Each step gets closer and closer to humility. And humility is a sign that we've passed the test. So, a sign that you've passed the test is when you say, "I grew from this experience, they were just a messenger." I got the message. That's humility. You're not self-centered, you recognize it as for the good, you recognize it as that. To the extent that we're still angry at the person, we're still angry at the moment we lose this height and consciousness. And the end of the day, you want to walk around with faith and love. That's what you want to walk around with. If you walk around with faith and love, which is both these situations, then you are a co-creator. You're producing love in the air. You're producing. You're making people better. Until you cannot get out of your own head, you can't have anybody else. You can't have anybody else. How much can a victim help people? Exactly. We can't. A prayerful response could sometimes even turn enemies into friends. That's what God wants. He wants us to turn enemies into our friends. Even the people who are opposing you, specifically spouses this, that family members, he wants your enemies to eventually be your friends. And the localities are going to say here, although this practice of using enemies is a tributative humility in turn to God, the evil also gets elevated through the merit that you end up getting carried. Because you got you closer, the evil gets elevated. This is why our minds, grandsons, were scholars and but a brak. Evil becomes elevated because you actually caused it. In the instant, the evil actually caused you to do better. So you actually can elevate evil, actually evil can do Chuvah. Incredible concept. When you get the bigger picture, your enemies actually get Chuvah, get actually an upgrade, which is incredible. It will become clear that the world needs both evil and good. Not only should you not respond by pushing your enemy and his illusions out of heart, but really the opposite. You should remember that instead, that this is all from God, you should know there's nothing to say before God, except for elevating that person. I'm thanking that person. So again, do not curse your enemy or push him in any way out of your heart. Rather, feel the impulse for revenge. When you feel the impulse for you to quiet your heart, trust in God and keep silent. It is also good to create information that is brought to mind in these challengesations. I know the truths will prevail and I know this is from God. Remind yourself of the bigger picture that is all from God and it's a purifying miqfe for us. So we can get closer and closer to God. Walk the talk and turn the theory into practice and start trying and start passing these tests in your lives. And that's where at the end of the day, he says, look what he says is an incredible, incredible, we'll finish it. It's a lady who wrote this book, but she took a, she took a, I think, from the Kormana Rebbe on the Bolshebidov. So she did a really, really great job of her name is Sarah Yudit China. She did a really, really great job of bringing this out. Again, there's, how many pages in there is, you know, 500, 400 pages. So I'm giving you 15 pages of the, just an, just, it's so much, so much deeper. So what happens is when you're able to turn, when you're able to do this work, what happens is the enemy becomes a friend. The process is beautifully illustrated to Hebrew words. There's a word Oyev, which means enemy and there's a word Ohev, which means friends. What's the difference between these two words? One has a Yud and the other one has a hey. You have to take the Yud and make it into a hey. And then you enemy becomes your friend. So again, this is a lot swallow, but what that, what is, and the test that our enemies, is this into this, the test of when enemies of enemies, when past, generate the greatest light.
