The transcription begins with a promotion for Bollen Branch sheets, highlighting their durability and comfort, and offers a discount for first-time buyers. The host, Jaden Haley, then introduces her podcast "Busy At Pretty," discussing a weekly review focused on a spring refresh—decluttering clothes, spending time in sunlight, and prioritizing mental health. She shares current obsessions like a spring latte with pistachio milk and berries, a decorative plate wall, and music by Olivia Dean and Sombra. Her goals include incorporating electrolytes, going to bed earlier with blue light glasses, and extending breathwork sessions. The main episode topic is "how to become the girl on your Pinterest board." Jaden emphasizes that this is not about becoming a new person but refining your true self. She advises focusing on how you want to feel, rather than just appearances, and seeing yourself as already embodying that version. Habits should match your identity, not your mood, and an environmental reset—decluttering your space—helps align your surroundings with your desired self. Finally, she discusses personal style, urging listeners to wear clothes they love now instead of saving them for later, and to build a uniform that makes them feel put together. The episode encourages actionable steps toward self-improvement and authenticity.
[Music] When it comes to spring, there's nothing I love more than having fresh new sheets. Actually, there's one more thing. Having good sleep, like both those two things combined, they go hand in hand together, but they're the two things I focus on. When it comes to my evening routines, if you've been noticing that your sheets are just not cutting it lately and you need a new refresh, I have to tell you about one of my very, very favorites, Bollen Branch. Bollen Branch has to be one of the best sheets ever. They have all different bedding, from waffle blankets, pillows, and converters, and I just find the quality holds up so much better than other sheets. I have so many sheets that have just ripped in the past, but you can just feel the quality and the softness and the smoothness from Bollen Branch. And not only that, I literally can feel improved sleep. But if you've been needing some new bedding, upgrade your sleep with Bollen Branch. [Music] [Music] Hello, my love. Welcome to Busy At Pretty. I'm your host, Jaden Haley. I'm so happy to be chatting with you today, and I'm very excited about today's episode, because these habit episodes are the ones that bring me the most motivation, joy, and excitement, to just kind of have a little, you know, not re-brush, not restart, but a little motivation to give the inspiration we need to get on track to be where we want to be, and to become who we want to be, and most importantly, become the girl in our vision board. But before we begin to that, let's do our weekly review. So this week, as you know, the previous episode, I talked all about a spring refresh, not a spring restart, but a refresh, because we're just refreshing, we're doing a little upkeep, and we're doing this for us to have a good, successful spring. So I have been following just that. I had a spring little closet clean out this weekend. I got rid of a lot of clothes. I don't wear anymore, or clothes that I have been saving and holding on to. And another thing this week is, I have been spending more time outside in the sun. I just think it is so important to go outside, get fresh air, instead of locking yourself in your room, in your house, in your apartment, because that's only going to make you feel more down, sad, and in order for us to be feeling like our days on a broken record, we need to go outside, we need to take time away from our phone, and just get that fresh air. So that has been really nice. And another thing this week is, I have been prioritizing my personal life and mental health. I think it is so important to prioritize your mental health, because like I say, when it comes to your mental health and your business and career goals, it's almost like you're in a plane where it says to, on like, when there's passengers and they come around saying, okay, in case an emergency, parents need to put their mask on first to better help assist with their kids mask. And I think of it the same way, like a career in a business school, and in order for us to succeed and better help our career and business, we need to put our personal first. So I always think of it like, you know, you're putting the mask on your personal life and your hobbies and your mental health first. And then after that will be able for you to better assist, and work better on helping your career and business goals, aka your child. Now when it comes to the current obsessions of the week, my current obsession right now is, I say this almost each time, but I'm not sure latte with pistachio milk, and then lately, adding crushed strawberries and raspberries, it just makes it so spring-like, like a matcha with pistachio milk and strawberries and raspberries, is literally the perfect just spring latte. So I've been loving that. Another thing right now is, I'm so obsessed with my plate wall above my desk. I hang plates that have lead in them that I can't eat off of. I'll hang them up on my wall and it just looks so pretty and cute. I also made a little clock plate with a plate that I bought from the store that had lead on it. So if I can't eat off of it, I'll hang it up and it just makes my bed desk in my room look so cute. Another crap obsession right now is a music from both Olivia Dean and Sombra. Those are my two favorite artists right now. I just cannot stop listening to them. They just give me that like spring summer feel, and it just puts me in that excited, happy, motivated mood. Okay, now when it comes to the goal of the week, my goal of the week right now is to incorporate more electrolytes into my water. I feel like having a little like a electrolyte into a ice water, a sparkling water is so important and especially during the heat that's coming on. It's very important. So just incorporating those has been a goal. Another thing right now is to go to bed earlier and paired with that to be wearing my blue light glasses before bed. And I'm not just meaning the cute little blue light glasses. Like I have those, I love those, I wear those during the day. I'm talking I have some ugly blue light glasses like ugly ones that are so bad. I look like Jeffrey Dahmer in them. They're so yellowed, but I kid you not. It is so good for your eyesight. So you're not getting all that blue light right when you're going to bed. And it's also good for your circadian rhythm. So you're not getting all that bright blue light and it really just shields all that. So anyways, been loving those despite how ugly they are. I need to find some that are like cuter, but I have even posted me wearing them. I need to post a photo of me wearing them because it's truly a horrific sight how ugly they are, but they work wonders on your eyes and your sleep. And another thing for a goal of the week is to do longer breathwork sessions. I do 10 minutes of breathwork a day, but I usually I'm trying to do a while. I'm like on my phone or cleaning my room, but I'd love to just sit down, do nothing but breathwork with it, and also doing it for about 20 minutes now. So that's another one of my goals. Now into the affirmation of the week. The affirmation of the week is I am becoming the person I always want to be on my Pinterest board. I love that affirmation so much, so I really recommend you from that and journal that to yourself. Now when it comes to the self of question of the week, what do I love most about the person I'm becoming? I love that so much and it is so important to ask yourself that question, especially in honor of today's episode, because no, we're not just becoming like a new version of yourself. Yes, if that's what you want to do, but in my opinion, it's more like rewriting an identity of yourself and truly finding what really our values are, what we want, what we love and just touching base with that. And now into the podcast review. This review is from Reagan and Reagan said, "Currently cleaning my depression room mess while listening. Thank you, Jaden. I have been in such a slump and I had no motivation and can barely do anything but go to school and sports and come back home and isolate. I'm getting back to things. Thank you, Gurley." That was such a beautiful review and I just love how you're finding yourself again and trust me, you are not the only one who feels this. Lots of times when at school or work and stuff are involved, it can feel like a broken record and we can just feel really down and depressed and I just hope you know I am so proud of you and I am rooting for you. If you want to be featured on next week's episode, make sure to leave a podcast review over Apple podcasts and leave a rating over Spotify. Without further ado, it is time to get into today's episode. This is how to become the girl on your Pinterest board. The girl, the boy, whatever you identify as. But this is just truly how to become that person. The person you see on Pinterest, the girl who does the yoga, the girl who's successful, the girl who works in fashion, whatever your dreams and desires are. We all have different Pinterest boards and vision boards. But the girl you know you always pin in that dream version of you, we're going to become her and these are the perfect ways to embody her. And in actuality, it's not about becoming someone new but it's about refining and expressing who you already are. And that's what is kind of explaining earlier because it's not that we can just like forget who we are and move on just being someone else. Also, why would you want to be someone else? We don't want to be anybody but ourselves. And maybe right now you don't love the position or who you are or identify as with what you love, your hobbies, your values. And that's okay. It's all about staying true to ourselves and finding that version of ourselves. So maybe you have found that and kind of lost it or maybe you had it before in the past and you're just trying to keep that up or maybe you never really found who you that person and that version of you is. So that's why becoming that girl and becoming the girl in your vision board is not actually becoming that person or becoming a different person. But instead finding that version of you that truly makes you happy and that you feel excited to wake up as in the morning. Your Pinterest boards equal patterns of what you're actually drawn to and not rules you have to follow. Same with things that you may be saved on Instagram or TikTok or podcasts. Whatever you like and consume is usually things that you love and it's not things that are necessarily that you're wanting to follow as like a blueprint or to a T because again, we're all different. If you followed the exact routine I had, it may not probably work for you because we're all different. I have different schedules. You have a different schedule. We all have different preferences. We can just follow a blueprint as someone else's life and expect for it to work. I obviously had a spring clean but I can't lie whenever I have a spring clean in my closet. I always somehow replace the clothes I already got rid of with new clothes that I just fit my wardrobe and I just found the cutest pink Columbia windbreaker from Poshmark. I could not believe the price of it and it was literally brand new. I got it instantly.
I'm so obsessed with Poshmark lately. It has to be one of my favorite hobbies to do when I just scroll in bed in the evenings. They have millions of just new and pre-loved items. From vintage to luxury fashion, from daily wardrobe, they seriously have it all. It honestly inspires me to start selling more on Poshmark too. I remember years ago I was a non-stop of Poshmark seller, but lately I've been a Poshmark buyer. But new deals and styles are listed every day so don't wait, download the Poshmark app and use code Bizzy when you sign up to get $10 off your first purchase or shop now at poshmark.com/bizzy and get $10 off your first purchase. That's P-O-S-H-M-A-R-K.com/bizzy. I obviously had a spring clean, but I can't lie, whenever I have a spring clean in my closet, I always somehow replace the clothes I already got rid of with new clothes that just fit my wardrobe. And I just found the cutest pink Columbia windbreaker from Poshmark. I could not relieve the price of it and it was literally brand new. I got it instantly. But new deals and styles are listed every day, so don't wait, download the Poshmark app and use code Bizzy when you sign up to get $10 off your first purchase or shop now at poshmark.com/bizzy and get $10 off your first purchase. Same with a diet culture, for instance. A lot of people think, "Okay, or show up. This is how I lost this many pounds or this is how I got toned." And it's like, "Okay, but guess what? Maybe you have PCOS and it's very hard for you to do those things." Maybe you have an autoimmune disease and it's hard for you to show up at the gym every day. We all have different lives, so you can't expect to think, "Okay, if I'm going to copy this person, that's going to be the same result that I get." So, again, this is all individual, but what we consume and what we look at are usually patterns of what we're drawn to, but again, not rules that we have to follow or have to do in order to become that person. So when it comes to becoming that girl or that girl in your Pinterest board, I want you to focus on how you want to feel, not just things how you want it to look. Let me say that again. I want you to focus on how you want to feel or not how just things look. Because, of course, we're going to want the cute yoga mats. Of course, we're going to want the cute hairstyles or the cute adorable face or the makeup or whatever. It is the lifestyle. Of course, we want those things and I think aesthetic really helps embodying that, makes us motivated to become that version of herself, but also at the same time, it's supposed to be how we feel. We want to feel confident. We want to feel successful. We want to feel motivated and hardworking and feeling excited to take the next steps in life. So that's really important on your journey of becoming that person. So when it comes to an identity shift, I want you to start seeing yourself as the version of you now, not one day. So the idea of the person you want to be, don't think, okay, one day I'm going to feel like that, or one day I'm going to see myself as that. Think about you already have that. And it comes time to manifestation almost, but when you embody and truly feel the feelings of the person that you want to become, you will soon become that person. So ask yourself, what would she do today in small realistic ways? Would she wake up with a positive mindset? Would she make her bed in the morning? Would she go make herself a macho? Would she take care of herself? Would she look at the mirror and smile and do her makeup and not tear herself down? Truly, what are the habits and the things that that person would do? Because your habits should match your identity and not your mood. What I mean by that is you're going to wake up maybe tomorrow and think, okay, like tonight, let's say tonight you're going to bed and thinking, I'm so excited, I'm so motivated, I am going to become this girl. The girl that I always see on my Pinterest board, she's confident, she's happy, she loves her life, she's successful, and then you're so motivated right now. But then you're going to wake up tomorrow and think, oh my gosh, this is my reality. I hate school, I hate work, I hate this version of myself, I hate who I am, I hate my body, I hate my face, all of a sudden you have all this negativity, all this hate for your beautiful self, all this hate for your life, and I understand the things you have going on are all valid feelings. You're allowed to hate things, you're allowed to hit your job, your life yourself, whatever it is. All those feelings are valid, but let me just remind you that your habits can't stick with your mood or they're never going to become into anything. Your habits will never happen, they'll never take action, you'll never be making progress or taking action or having those habits, if you match them to your mood, because let's be real, our mood is going to be most likely not the happiest 100% at the time. You may be 95% of the time unhappy and unmotivated, so it's about knowing that you can rely on yourself to have those habits that are going to stick with you regardless of how your mood feels. Match your habits to your identity, you were the version of yourself that you love. She's confident, motivated, successful, she loves her life, so you're going to match your habits to that person. Now with finding your identity of yourself and what you truly love, let's get into talking about an environmental reset. Your space should reflect the version of you that you're becoming. Let's say maybe your current version of you is messy, unorganized, and always feels like you're stressed out. Guess what? If your desk or your bed or your room or your house is looking messy, it's not capped up, it has food and everywhere on the floor, it has drinks everywhere, it has papers everywhere and just mess. Guess what? You're going to feel that way in your head. Declutter what doesn't match your energy. Close products, clutter, your desk, your bed, whatever it is, declutter it to match the energy that you want to have. And after you do that, treat yourself and add small details that make your space feel aesthetic and calming and feeling like a place that you love to be in. I honestly love to think of my room as an escape. I love to just make my home my room wherever I'm living. I just love to make it a place where I feel like I can escape. And when I don't mean escape to be like, oh, a home body where you need to stay home and not go out and that's your safe space. But I'm meaning it to be where you know when you're working or you're at school or you're working from home, even, whatever it is when you're stressed, you know, okay, this environment I'm in, I'm okay right now. Whatever I'm feeling, I'm home, I'm in a safe space and I can rely on that. I'm not worried about the clutter or the mess that's around me. And I can only just focus right now on the stress I have in decluttering my mind right now, working through the stress, working through what I'm going through. I don't have to think about other things on my mind. If you're stressed about anything in life and you're home and your space is a mess, you're not even going to be able to be thinking fully on that stress and trying to work it out because you're going to be thinking of other things that's in the way of that. So like your desk is messy, you're going to be thinking, oh my gosh, I'm so stressed about work in school, but I'm also so stressed about my desk. It's just no space to even work. So make it be a place that you love to be and that you don't have to think about, let it be a place that's peaceful and calming and not a place that's adding extra stress onto your stress when it comes to a personal style. Personal style. Okay, this is something that is very linked to becoming that version of you and your Pinterest boards. Okay, the girl you you pan on Pinterest, are you wearing the same outfits as she is? And let's be real, of course, budget is a huge factor. If you're pinning someone who is wearing, you know, Birkin bags every day or a cute Chanel outfit, yeah, you know, maybe that's not in the price range right now. One day it will be, but not right now, but guess what? There's other alternatives and things you can do to find that style. And there's no excuses you could have. Okay, because let's say that you have the outfits right now, you have a lot of those clothes. Stop saving them for later. You need to start wearing it now. So many of us think, okay, once I feel prettier, once I have the dream body I want, once I look the way I want to look, or once I have that confidence, then I'll wear them. Babe, let me remind you that you will never wear them. Stop saving things for special occasions. Stop saving things for the perfect moment because no moment will ever feel perfect. It won't. I love how Inaigarten always has. Stop saving your fine China for dinner parties and the special occasions and use them now. That's why I love to think with everything in life is I need to use it now because right now the special occasion make every day a special occasion. How amazing is it if you actually made every day a special occasion? I do that with myself. I'll take myself two dates and fun little solo dates all the time with no occasion. Just today I want to celebrate the day. I want to celebrate myself. So stop saving your outfits for later and wear them now. Also build a go-to uniform that makes you feel put together. So maybe let's say you wake up and you're feeling very down in a down mood. Again, this goes back to your habits, need to match your identity and not your mood. Have a go-to outfit that you know that you feel good in and you feel put together in. That it doesn't have to be a perfectly, you know, cute, expensive outfit. I'm talking it could be a cute sweatshirt or cute yoga pant in a little top. Something that makes you feel like you can rely on. So if you wake up feeling
out of it, not in the mood and not confident, you can rely on that to make you feel a little better. Another thing is pay attention to what you feel best in and not what just looks good on appearance or online. I'm sure there's times you wear things because, you know, it looks good maybe to the public eye or it looks good to, you know, social media or where you're going out in, but let's do also things that we feel aligned to. So pay attention to what you feel most confident in. And I'm not talking about you hiding in clothes. When I say what you feel most confident in, you maybe you're just thinking, okay, well, I feel most confident in something that I'm hiding my body in or I'm hiding myself from. I'm not talking about that. I'm talking about what you feel most confident and best in when it comes to your personal style. Let's say you love colors, but your work or your school mostly wears more neutrals. Where are the colors? Of course, if it abides by the dress rule, but where those colors, where it for yourself, I remember there was a phase where I was wearing such bright colors. Like every day was a bright color is very extra. And I was hanging out with a girl who lived in a different country and she was visiting. She had told me that she just thought it was amazing how I wore such colorful things. And she said, if she ever wore that, she would be deathly stared at and just society would think so differently. And I was even telling her where I'm like, you know, the average person may look at me and think, oh, well, she's colorful, even where I'm at, but the thing is I do it for myself because I'm putting my priority of myself and my opinion first. She even said how she was bored of wearing what she was wearing. She wish she could wear those colors. But think about that. How sad would it be to not be wearing things that you love just to fit in with societal standards or to fit in with your work or your school? Where what feels best to you? Not for the opinion of others. Now when it comes to beauty and self-care, create simple routines that you actually stick to. I love myself a 10-step beauty routine, but sometimes it can just feel way too much. And especially if we just are in a bad mood and we're like, oh, I can't do this. I don't have the time right now. But having something that's a simple routine you could always stick to will be something that you can rely on and have that safety net being like, you know, I know this thing makes me feel good putting on a little skincare, doing maybe it just a quick little makeup. But it also doesn't have to take an hour of my day. Another thing is romanticize basic things up for your beauty and self-care routine like showering, skincare, getting ready. All those things are just basic necessities, but you can romanticize them by lighting a candle, putting on a podcast, music, having something fun to make you feel good, put like a cute little robe on while you're doing it. Make those things exciting because guess what? When you're pinning on Pinterest, I bet you're pinning those things. I bet you see the girl in her cute robe and a roller in her hair and her makeup and you're thinking, gosh, that's my dream. Babe, you can literally do it yourself at home. The only difference between you and her is that she's doing it and you're not. Get up and start doing those things and have that extra step for yourself. Remember consistency is so much better than perfection. Now when it comes to daily habits, get sunlight, move your body, hydrate, do the basic matters that we often just pass by. It's so easy to say, yeah, I'm doing my affirmations. I'm hydrating. I'm going outside from taking a walk. But sometimes we say that because it's like such a simple thing in our mind, but are we actually doing it? Are we actually having intention and dedicating time to do that? Again, our schedules can be busy, but things can literally be under five minutes. Our routine can literally be a five minute routine. Things don't have to be complicated or a 10 separate routine or perfect, but it can be a little something that we can always rely on that makes us feel consistent and feel good about ourselves. Having one to two non-negotiables in the morning and in the evening that keep you grounded is something that is so essential that you can always stick by. Small habits, done daily, shape your life more than big resets. And let me say that again because I think it is so important, but small habits, done daily, shape your life more than big resets. I feel like I had been non-subvisit lately, which I appreciate, but at the same time, it sometimes makes it hard in my routine and something that my doctor's literally haunt me on. They're like, you need to be consistent in this. And I always make sure I am consistent on this because I just feel better when I do, but it's my daily vitamins. Now when it comes to our mindset, stop weighing to feel confident and act like her first. Beat her to it. Literally beat yourself to it because we're not going to ever feel confident if we don't start feeling confident with our mind. Literally everything stems from our mind, body and soul. If you see a girl on Pinterest and think, "Oh gosh, okay, I'll feel confident if I look like her." Let me just tell you, you're never going to look like her. You may never have your dream body. You may never have your dream lifestyle. So what are you waiting for? Are you just going to live and give up and think, "You know, I'm giving up because I'll never have that?" No. You're going to start now and start living and tailoring your life. The best it can be according to your lifestyle now and what you have. The person you are, you'll never be on Pinterest. You'll never be that girl you see on Pinterest. The funny thing is, I always intro my episode and I pivot to see if you're sticking with me and understanding this. But let me just remind you that the girl you see on Pinterest, you will never be. I started the episode saying, "Let's become the girl we see on Pinterest." But again, it's not about becoming her. It's not about becoming that girl, okay? Because we're never going to be that girl. We'll never have her face, her nose, her eyes, her body, her closet. We'll never have it because we're not her. That same girl you're looking at on Pinterest had the same feeling that you're feeling. She wanted to be somebody else. But instead, she made what she could with herself. Look at what you have. You have a blank slate right now. You are so perfect. You can literally rewrite your entire life, your entire lifestyle, your entire identity according to what you want. You can be the girl on Pinterest. You're not going to be the girl you see on Pinterest right now. You're going to be that girl on Pinterest. I remember always looking at girls on Pinterest and thinking, "Oh my gosh, like I just want to be her. I wish I could be her." And I would pin things and just dream of being that babe. I'm literally on Pinterest all the time now. I go on Pinterest. I go on my home feed and I see myself. The only difference between me and you or me and somebody else is that I took initiative. I started. You need to start. Start investing in yourself. Start doing this for yourself because nobody's going to do it for you. Stop waiting until you're confident. Stop waiting until you have your lifestyle. Start acting like her now. You don't need permission to become that version of yourself. When it comes to Pinterest, I've had girls message me and say, "Oh my gosh, thank you so much for pinning the photo of me." Because I will pin anything that I love. And I've had multiple girls message me and say, "Oh my gosh, I can't believe you pinned my photo of me." I'm like, because I'm literally, it's like inspo to me. It's beautiful. I love it. And that's what you could be. Start doing this for you. I am no different than you. I literally am no different than you. The girls that you idolize are no different than you. The girls that you pin on Pinterest. The girls that you see on social media. Nobody is different than you. We all started at some point in our life. And I'm not talking about you getting on social media. You're getting on Pinterest. Like you don't need to be on Pinterest or social media. That says nothing. I'm just, that I'm giving you that as an example. But I'm talking about self-investment and becoming the best version of viewing yourself in your heart. You need to let go of perfectionism because it kills momentum. We're not trying to change who we are and become a different person. The girl we see on social media and said, we're looking at herself, thinking herself as a blank, clean slate and thinking, "Oh my gosh, how beautiful is it?" That who I am. And I get to actually find what I truly love, write my values, write my identity and write the person I really want to be because I have the ability to do that.
that. No one but you has the ability to do that. Adding on a few little things that can just elevate your life, music, drinks, routines, outfits, those are just tiny things that shift your energy, find that main character moments in your day. The values that identity the girl that you want to be inside, what you truly love, find that and start taking time to do those things. It's about intention, not about spending more money, finding and aligning with what you love and the person you want to be, doesn't cost a penny. It can literally be free, you don't have to have a budget, it can just be with yourself, your thoughts and your daily habits and your actions. I want you to not compare your life to a curated Pinterest perfection. Stop comparing yourself to the girl you see online, stop comparing yourself to Pinterest, use it as inspo to what you love. Another thing is stop trying to change everything all at once. Again, our progress is rooted in our small daily habits. I also want you to stop thinking aesthetic means expensive or unattainable. You can have the most aesthetic life and things that you love and the aesthetic days and lifestyle identity just like your Pinterest boards at a cost of nothing. Maybe you don't have the Birken bag you see online, but what you can have is that confidence that thinking, okay, I'm confident enough that I'm going to walk around with my $7 thrifted purse as if it's a Birken bag. You have the same thing as that girl does on Pinterest. It's the confidence and the embodiment of that. It's not about the bag at the end of the day. It's about how she's carrying the bag, who she is, who is the girl carrying the bag and that's you. So to close out this episode, I want you to just remember that you don't arrive at being that girl. You practice being her daily. The version of you you want already exists. You just have to choose her. And again, it's built in the small moments, not one big transformation. I love you so much and I hope you enjoyed this episode as much as I did recording it. I honestly just feel so motivated and inspired myself where I'm going to go on Pinterest tonight. I'm going to look at some inspo and I'm going to think, okay, what do I love the most? I'm going to make a little new spring vision board and just think to myself, what have I not have done or what am I not doing right now that I could do for myself that I truly love in the lines of my values. And I really encourage you to do the same. And I want to hear in the comments section if you listen over Spotify, what is something that makes you feel your best and the best version of you that you see on your Pinterest board? Summary:
" Jaden emphasizes that this is not about becoming a new person but refining your true self.
