How The SDC Group Program Can Help You Quit Drinking & Transform Your Life + Meet Julian

This podcast episode features the host introducing Julian Rosen, the new co-coach for the Stop Drinking Coach’s group program, which launches in January. The host details the program’s availability on his revamped website, including a 40-minute presentation, testimonials, and a discounted enrollment fee of $1,997 with flexible payment options. He shares his personal history of heavy drinking and how Julian, as his former head coach, helped transform his life through a structured, deep-rooted approach. The host recalls a pivotal quote from Julian about living in the present moment, which shifted his understanding of addiction as stemming from a dysfunctional relationship with oneself. Julian then introduces himself, describing how his mother’s death at age 23 led to grief and depression, prompting a spiritual awakening and a career in coaching. He explains his philosophy of following intuitive nudges, which guided him from fitness to transformational work, and emphasizes that addiction is not a moral failing but a symptom of deeper pain that requires addressing root causes. Both speakers highlight the importance of compassionate, judgment-free group environments for healing, and they encourage listeners to trust their own intuitive nudges toward growth and change. The conversation underscores that true transformation comes from inner awareness and purposeful action, not quick fixes.

What is up SDC family? We are back with another episode and I am extremely excited for today's episode. I've got a very, very special guest here who I want to introduce to everybody, Julian Rosen, who is the new co-coach of the Stop Drinking Coach, the Brighty and Life Coaching Program, and is gonna be spearheading and leading the group program. Now, before we dive in, as you guys have heard me talking about this group program that's launching, it's actually finally here and ready to launch at the beginning of the year in January. So if you go to my website, www.thestobdrinkingcoach.com, it's completely revamped. I've got a 40 minute video presentation on there that goes into all of the details and everything that you need to know about the program. And then once you click through, there's tons more detail about the program. You can actually sign up for the program. It's discounted right now $500, so just 1997, and you have the ability to pay over time as well, bringing it down to less than $100 per month. If you scroll down, there's tons of video testimonials and probably 100 screenshots of people's experience inside of my community. So I would love to see you all there. If you've been listening to my podcast, if you're ready to let go of alcohol in 2025 and really step into a new chapter, this is gonna be one of the most powerful and profound containers you could possibly step into. Now, before I turn it over to Julian, I just wanna take a couple of minutes to let you know, kind of who Julian is and the role he's played in my life. So, you know, back just over four years ago when I was struggling with alcohol at the peak of my drinking when I was drinking four to six bottles of wine a day, and finally hit this place of rock bottom. As many of you have listened to in one of my podcast episodes where I go into my story, I right at that time was through a divine turn of events was introduced to this coaching program that went on to completely change and transform my life and really lead me to become the person that I am today. And during that time when I joined that coaching program, Julian was the head coach. So he was my coach when I was being introduced to all this stuff. And the program that I now run today and now 300 plus people have gone through is the same program that I went through. And so literally it's basically a one-to-one replica model and Julian was the coach there. And Julian, I'll let him share more details about him, but I mean, this guy is, there is no better person I can possibly imagine on earth to have here because when we talk about alcohol, when we talk about addiction, when we talk about being a fiend for the drink, I mean, I like to say that there was nobody more of a fiend than me. And the things that I learned inside of this program, much of it, all of it came from Julian. And I attended weekly group coaching calls with Julian and I like to say, and I've been sharing this with some people. It's like, man, whether you're a day sober, whether you're five years alcohol free, whether you don't even struggle with alcohol, whether you're on the brink of a divorce or dealing with, quote unquote, any trauma that you could possibly have. When you listen to Julian speak for an hour, you walk away with exactly what you need. It literally doesn't matter where you're at in your journey, what you're struggling with. That's one of the gifts that this man has. And so, yeah, man, a couple of things before I turn it over to you. I remember in the early part of my journey, I was probably like 60, 60 days in, 90 days in, and there was a coaching call. And you were talking and, man, I've read a thousand books and I've heard all the quotes that ever exist. And I remember you said this quote that just hit me like a truck and you said, life is one long experience of the present moment. So if you want to live a good life, you have to learn how to make peace with the present moment. And man, when I heard that from you, it just, it just like, I don't even know. It just like, it blew my reality apart because I was 60 days in, 90 days in or so into my own recovery and following this profound system that I was introduced to. And in that moment, it just hit me. I realized that all of my problems, all of my challenges, my addiction, my, you know, these habitual patterns and programs that were dysfunctional, like they all stemmed from this, kind of fucked up relationship I had with myself in the present moment, right? Like I couldn't just be, I couldn't just be present. I always had to change the way that I was feeling. I had to increase it, make it more fun, make it more exciting or, or lessen it down. And it's like, when you shared that with me, Manage, it just, it made me realize that like, it's just true. You know, from the moment you're born until the moment you die, we are infinitely connected to the present moment. Like there's no escaping it. There is no such thing as tomorrow. There's no such thing as next week. It's like, it's always now. And so it's like, if we've got another 30, 40, 50, 60 years left to live, like, and we can't escape now. And right now, we know that our relationship to the present moment and ourself is super dysfunctional. It's like, dude, we got to figure out a way to heal that. We got to figure out a way to optimize that. And yeah, man, that was just an absolute game changer for me. And I feel like is sort of the underlying basis of what we're doing here, overcoming addiction, learning how to heal, improving our mental and emotional regulation, and really just this journey home back to our authentic self. So with all that said, man, Julian, how you doing? Much better after hearing all these great things about myself. Doing good, man. Doing good, really excited about this collaboration. Yeah, it is. It kind of does seem like divine intervention. We even ended up sharing an office in Austin and then sit next to each other at the two retreats in Austin, just like so much divine nudging and interweaving. So they're doing good. Doing good. Still getting the hang of this new fatherhood thing. Congratulations, man. It's not a new, beautiful baby girl. Yeah, yeah, Lila. So, but yeah, man, doing good and excited to like, excited to talk today because we've had these conversations kind of privately. But I think it's, yeah, I think there's plenty of awesome value to kind of like bring this thing above ground and talk about it and talk about each other and talk about healing and transformation. And like you said, it's like, until we can actually peacefully coexist with what is we're going to spend energy trying to like find a backdoor way out of what is or a backdoor way to change what is. And that's where a lot of our own self-induced stuff comes around. So it's like, yeah, I think talking about these principles is overdue. Yeah. Yeah, 100%. Before maybe we dive into a few of those things. We'd love to just have you maybe take a few minutes and kind of introduce yourself around kind of your past, your background, how you got into coaching and the types of people that you've held or maybe some examples of things that you specialize in or yeah, just like, how do we go from where you were five, six years ago to where you are today? And if you want to share a little bit about your journey, so everybody who's listening can get to better know you. Totally, totally, totally. Yeah. Yeah, like I tell a lot of people this, like, you know, when I was like 23, my mom got really sick and like, it was a super critical age for me. Because when you're like 23, it's like, okay, it's like time to like, it's society's like, all right, you've been a kid long enough, like go be a grownup, go figure out how you're going to make money, go figure out a career, go figure out who you are. And it was at that time when like, I just had this huge death to this person I love and she had cancer. And it was super traumatic. It was like 12 months of just watching her, like, totally get dismantled and then she passed. And so I woke up as like a 24 year old with just like tons of unprocessed grief and depression. And also like this pressure of like, oh, shit, I gotta go be somebody and do something. And so it was kind of at that moment when I was like, I don't have any equipment for this. Like, I literally don't have any equipment for like, okay, how do I deal with this pain I'm feeling and how do I go show up and be a productive person and how do I not lose my shit? You know, to be how do I not lose my mind? And so it was funny that time I was like, well, I can work really hard and then get fucked up on weekends. And you know, like that was my crutch for a while, right? It allowed me to like stay, it allowed me like tread water, right? And then I remember like laying in bed one night, pretty self aware that like, this wasn't working. And dude, it was like, it's a tie, like looking at it now, it's definitely spiritual experience, but the time I really didn't have a spiritual life, but like I was just like, some voice, something was like, you're not this. You're going through this, but you're not this. And I was like, whoa, whoa, whoa. And like, whatever that was, I didn't re-experience it again for at least a couple of years, but like that's all it took for me to be like, okay, there's like, there's more to this than meets the eye. And so that's when I started to, like quit my job, started to go and just follow like these gentle nudges from the universe like, okay, go go, you know, at the time it was fitness, like go get in a fitness, go get in a fitness coaching, go get in a like strength conditioning coaching. And from there, just kept following the nudges and from there, like one morning it was like, okay, fitness is over, it's time to help people on a deeper level. Like dude, it was just, I remember I was living in Hawaii at the time with my now wife. And I remember like, everything was going well. Like I had a nice online, six, you know, a nice online fitness business. I was living here, I was living in Hawaii, like, you know, I was like working out eating mangoes every day. It was pretty sweet on paper. I woke up with like this deep knowing that like, it's done, like this fitness thing is done. And it's in it, it was just this undeniable call to like help people transform on a deeper way. And I noticed that as long as I was able to like, follow these nudges, some pain that I wasn't able to make sense of or heal kind of alleviated itself in the process of following the nudges. - Hmm. - Wow. - And if you've ever read Victor Frankl's book, Man Search for Meaning, he developed this thing called logo therapy, you know, he like survived the Holocaust and stuff and like, he realized that like as long as people followed what brought them meaning, like some of these deep things, they weren't able to like, process or heal kind of healed in the process of them following these like nudges, right? Like they're following their purpose or following these like their passions or whatever. And so yeah, like a 20, like the very beginning of 2017, just like had this irrational knowing, right? It was literally a non-rational knowing that's like, oh, I'm supposed to dedicate my life to helping people transform. And I didn't know what that meant. And so at the time I was like, do I go back to school? Do I become a psychologist or do I become a therapist? therapist and at the time, like, Transrational Life Coaching just honestly had the lowest bar. So I was like, I'm gonna do this. And, you know, like, higher mentors, higher coaches, and like, just devote my life to that. And so, yeah, dude, I just started, just started helping people in whatever way I could. And just again, the right mentors, the right books, the right experiences kept showing up for me to hone the craft. And by the time, by the time I met you, you know, in the wake of wealthy process, I'd been, you know, being refined by this kind of process of like self-education and then, you know, working with the right mentors and teachers for about five years. And so, yeah, you know, and so like, it just keep following that nudge, man. And like, each nudge has helped me find roots of like, what are people, what is really caught, what's the smoke and what's the fire, right? So it's like, okay, here's the expression of this person's pain. Here's the expression of this person's belief system. But if they really want change, what, like, you don't change the, it's like pulling a weed. You don't cut the top of the weed. It's like, you know, it's like, find out at the deepest level, what is that an expression of and create awareness, love, transformation there and the rest of the system will correct itself. Mm-hmm. Right. You know, and so that's, you know, and you know me, right? Like my coaching is it's deep. You know, it's not like, hey, here's three hacks to do this. It's like, yeah, yeah, yeah. Why is it there in the first place? Yeah, yeah, you hate that stuff. You hate that stuff. You hate that stuff. You like to do that. I got to make a hack video for social media because that's what people like. Yeah, yeah, like kills my soul. I'm like, oh, but yeah, it's like, it's like, there are these parts of us that we've learned to hide from ourselves that like in the exploration, acceptance and transformation of that, everything that's down chain of that corrects itself. Yeah. You know, and that's a lot of what, you know, our programmer, your program is built on and what I'll be bringing to it is built on that. It's like, there's nothing wrong with you, right? But this is an effect. And if you want to change it, you get, you change it at the cause level. Yeah. And so it's like kind of stripping away the morality of it. Like, there's nothing wrong with you. There's nothing bad about you if you struggle with addiction, right? Like, but it's, yeah, it's a byproduct of something. And it's not moral weakness, right? It's a byproduct of some deeper pain. And when you can bring awareness there, dude, like, everything, again, everything about it changes. Yeah. Yeah, you're so, you're so spot on with that, man. I mean, having gone through this, banging my head against the wall for 12 years, trying A A therapy, everything in the book and like, never being able to understand what the route was, right? Never really connected back to childhood and that process of zero to set in and the programming and then, you know, just that there's so much to it that it's like, when you go to quit drinking or you go to overcome any addiction in a way, it's like, you're, you're about to embark on a journey of like climbing Mount Everest. But if you've never climbed that thing before and like, you don't know what path to take up the mountain and you don't know what tools to bring with you and you, you know, you hit a fork in the road and you're not sure which way to go. It's like, dude, it's, you have like no idea. You need the tools. You need the systems. You need the, the blueprints. Because if we had that ourselves, it would just be a light switch. We would just put the bottle down and like, fix the pain and be like, okay, no more, you know? So, yeah, man, getting to the root is I look back on my own journey. Now, four plus years alcohol free. When I started to do that deep work as I was introduced to it within that last program, it like, like, I'd read all the books. I had like listened to all the podcasts, but the way it was structured to allow me to follow this process of like, okay, learn this, then learn this, then become aware of that, then become aware of that. It just, it was just different. It was different from anything that I'd ever been exposed to. And I love how you talk about the nudges of the universe, you know? I feel like that's what it's all about. I mean, as I look back on my own life from the time I was 18, every job I had, every relationship I was in, whether it was a friend, a business partner, significant other, like whatever, there was always a point in time where like, it wasn't me making the decision. It was like a nudge. Like, I got this feeling or this download or this voice in my head that was like, okay, time to close this chapter, time to move on to the next thing. And when I talk about divine timing, it's like, dude, had anything else in my life been different? I would not be here today as a stop drinking coach. If some other business that I tried in my early 20s, which was several of them, right, supplement company, marketing agencies, like all these different things, like how they just, I wouldn't be here today. And the tens of thousands of people that I've been able to reach and connect to and help, like, they just wouldn't have got that, you know? And so, you know, it's just like, yeah, these nudges of the universe. And like, I encourage everybody who's listening, right? Like, if you've been getting these nudges, like these little voices that maybe seem like they're not yours or just these feelings that like, hey, maybe there's something here, maybe I should explore this. Like, I absolutely 100% encourage you to follow those things because even to this day, to this very moment, like, as I look into my future and the things that I want to move towards and build and create in ways I want to help people, I'm just like following those nudges, you know? There's something super, super powerful about them. And it's like, you know, I know a lot of us, when we struggle with alcohol, we're like, you know, at this place where we're high functioning, we could be successful in a lot of other areas of our life. We still work out, we still got a job, we still make money, we still pay mortgage, and we still take care of the family, there's food on the table. And like, it can feel really hard to like admit that you need help. You know, it's like, I know I felt that way. I felt I had a tremendous amount of like guilt or shame around my drinking because only I knew how bad it was. And but on the front, like, everybody was like, oh, by party, it seemed successful. The guy just likes to drink a lot or party a lot. And, you know, I was, there was shame, there was guilt, there was overwhelming in fear of admitting that I needed help. And when I came into the program, you know, at Wu, it was like such a profoundly positive, like supportive environment where it was just a group of people who were all oriented around wanting to become better versions of themselves and fulfill their potential and who just showed up in a super non-judgmental way to just help and support. And then everything that came through from your support, the coaching calls, the guidance, the course material, the guided meditations you put together, which are like insanely mind-blowing, you know, it's like they take you through vortexes of experience. It's like, it's wild how it all comes together. It's like, you follow that meaning, you follow that purpose, you follow that nudge. And like you said, it's like, whatever pain finds a way to like process itself through that process, you know? - Yeah, yeah, and like the, like they had a big emphasis is like, dude, guilt, shame, and fear really don't have a practical value, right? Like that's more of a societal thing of like, hey, there's this one shiny golden way it should have gone and your life went this way, therefore you need to feel bad about it, right? Like it's a total byproduct of kind of like the paradigm we live in of like, you know, like, hey, everything's supposed to be good all the time and if it's not, that's on you and hide it, you know? And so yeah, that is the power of like, compassionate group work, right? Like like I said, you said like, sometimes that simple formula of like, oh, everyone here has a shared direction and we're not here to tell you, like, there's no judgment here, like we're all just like, yeah, life let us hear, right? You know, something I teach about a lot, it's like imperfect lessons from imperfect teachers, right? It's like, hey, like you mentioned earlier, from ages from zero to seven or two to 12, or whatever window, depending on what specialist you listen to, right? It's like, we were born to blank slate and our version 1.0 came from somewhere, right? Our operating system 1.0, what I think, how to feel, how to believe, how to navigate, right? Like a lot of that was just handed to us. - Yeah, we didn't have a choice in the matter at that time. - Yeah, we didn't have a choice. And so it's like, so to fall yourself for like where that original operating system got you, it's not your fault, right? It is your responsibility if you want to change it. Of course, no one can change it for you. But yeah, it's like a lot of this stuff, like you said, the more you can accept like every domino fell in the exact right way to get you here. And if you didn't struggle with addiction, you would have never gone through the journey of overcoming it. And then you would have never been in this position to help. So it's like even the gnarly things that we are ashamed of, or even the painful things we don't want to look at, if you zoom out far enough, you'll see that like exactly perfect. Right? Like it's perfect. It's perfect. Not according to your ego's agenda, but like according to like who, what you needed to go through to become who you're meant to be, your syllabus couldn't have been different. Yeah. You know, and so yeah, and so a lot of transformational work is like, not just conceptually letting this stuff go, but like going to these places within you that are being hidden within them and freeing them. Right? And you know, and again, like the coaching and the meditations and the groups and being on the calls and stuff, create that opportunity for that, right? It happens in phases. So, but yeah, for anyone listening, it's like, we live in a culture of like guilt and shame, like, hey, if you're not perfect, feel bad about it. One, perfect doesn't exist in two, like, man, I mean, you can really let that stuff go. Life gets released. Life gets really sweet. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. I love that you brought up imperfect lessons from imperfect teachers because it's like, it all makes perfect sense, right? Like we all took on and we all took on like an architecture, right? Like we weren't choosing our thoughts and our emotions and our reactions and our self image and our beliefs and our values from one to seven or you know, zero to seven, two to 12. Like we modeled that from our environment and that's kind of version 1.0. So whether we had great parents that gave us everything they could or we had, you know, group and a dysfunctional or really challenging environment where we got virtually zero or nothing, right? Like that was our version 1.0. And throughout our culture and the way that our system and structure and society is created is there's no, what do you call it? There's no, you know, when you turn 14 and then you become an adult, like, I'm losing the initiation or like, yeah, exactly. There's no initiation process, right? So two people get together with all their pain, all their challenges, all their trauma that they took on from their parents and their grandparents and they come together and then they produce a kid and then they do their best, they do their best. Sometimes the best is pretty reasonable. Other times it's garbage, right? You get to take out the garbage. You gotta take it out, yeah? Yeah. And so there's no initiation process, you know, once you become an adolescent, it's like, okay, now you gotta figure that out on your own And then, you know, know, once you turn 18 and now you're an adult, nobody sits you down and is like, okay, hey, are you ready to become fully self sufficient? Right? Like where are you at in your life? Like, is there anything in the in in the back of your truck that like maybe we need to explore and talk about and review and process through so that you can go out into the rest of your life to be as happy, self sufficient, you know, functional and productive as you possibly can be? And none of that happens. And so we basically go through our life. We're herded through this K through 12 system high school college. Everybody gets a first first class degree in alcohol use disorder, right? You know, throughout years and don't get a PhD. Yeah, some of you get a master's degree, right? Got a master's degree in it, you know? And and then yeah, you're just kind of left to your own devices, living your whole adult life as kind of this 1.0 and you're doing your best and you're productive and you're making money and your whatever it happens to be on the outside, but internally, you're operating with all these 1.0 mechanics and it's like you haven't quite figured out how to resolve those kinks in your armor. If you did your life in this present moment would be a perfect reflection of what you imagined it to be or what you have spent time creating and building. And so right, like as you were saying, addiction, alcohol use disorder, these are just symptoms. These are the manifestation of the 1.0 mechanics no longer in alignment with you as an adult in the way that your life is currently structured. And so a lot of people, man, like haven't really looked into like coaching or maybe they've done a little therapy, but like I know before I was introduced to Wu, I kind of thought life coaching was like, whack, I was like, what? I hear a life coach like, what are you going to tell me that I don't know, right? I've read all the books. I've listened to all the podcasts. That was my ego talking. But until I came into a system that broke down the human operating system from 8 to Z. This is who you are. This is the human blueprint. This is your nervous system. This is your conscious mind. This is your subconscious mind. This is how thoughts are created. These are what internal representations are. Started learning about neuro linguistic programming, started learning about mental and emotional regulations, started learning about the three layers of reality, which I learned from you inside of the last program, which is the basis of this program, which is like, dude, until you really understand the three layers of reality, you've kind of been living in autopilot your whole life, you know? It's like this whole system, this whole process, like it's not just about quitting drinking. And you hear me talk about this all the time in my content and all my podcasts. This is a metamorphosis process. This is taking, you've been living as the 1.0 version of yourself. And here's where the 1.0 has gotten you. Sure. You got a good job. You've got a family, whatever. But internally, psychologically and emotionally, your soul is being destroyed, right? With the substance. And so this whole deal, this whole program, everything that we do, everything we talk about, everything that you teach is this process of going from 1.0 to 2.0. Yeah. Yeah. And it's, like you said, 1.0 got you to this exact place. Thank God for 1.0. You know, I've been like, yeah, thank God for it. Thank God for it. Yeah. Totally. You know, if you're listening to this, you're probably not like under a bridge shooting heroin, you know, you know, if you are, congrats on getting a phone, right? Like that's cool. But like, but yeah, and then it's, it is funny, right? Like in more, in more tribal societies and cultures, they did have it built into the culture like, hey, at this age, you get initiated. Yeah. You go through initiation, right? Like, especially with the man, it's like, hey, you know, you go into the, these tribal elders are going to initiate you and help, help mature your psychology and help, kind of let go of some of these self-saving mechanisms that are actually, yeah, starting to kind of warp your soul a bit, right? And then just in our modern society, like you said, we don't have it. You know, it's like, yeah, you go through the schooling system, maybe go to college and, you know, some people are like, cool, you did it. Now, you should be able to self-regulate and, you know, but there's these deep subtle forces that really are guiding our life. And if we don't tap into the source of those and learn to renegotiate those, dude, like, we consciously think we're in control. And then there's like, there's a supercomputer underneath the surface actually making most of our decisions for us. And so it's like, this, I use this word, it's a dramatic word, but I really like it. It's your birthright to understand your software. It's your birthright. It's yours. It's no one else's, right? Like, it is your birthright to understand like, who are you, not just on the surface? Who are you on these deeper levels? And then there's power in going to those places, learning these things, and then being able to wield your more of yourself, right? Like it's like you said, it's not just stopping drinking. Like that's a beautiful byproduct of self-actualizing. I'm like really being you, the you you came here to be, right? So it's like, yeah, it's like this stuff. I mean, dude, it's like, hopefully, and enough time goes by like this shit, like they start teaching this shit in like high school instead of like, yeah, learning about Christopher Columbus, you get to learn about some conscious mind and like, you know, compensation from trauma and things like that. And like you said, too, it's like, man, we all got something. We all got a little bit of something, right? Even if your life was squeaky clean, we all have moments where all our needs weren't met 24/7. And so we, you know, we find ways to compensate for meeting those needs, right? And dude, addiction is totally one of them. It's a way to self-sue. It's a way to find meaning. It's a way to find community. It's a way to, you know, it's a way to, you know, it's like for some people it's a way to access their creativity. Some people it's a way to access their social side. And what you'll find is like, those are compensational ways. I don't even know if that's the right word. But when you let go of the compensation, you'll find that there's an even deeper, more potent, authentic way of doing it. Yeah. Right? So if you're like, oh, this is how I hang out with people, you'll find that without it, there's actually a deeper, more authentic way to like connect. Or there's a deeper, more authentic way to like balance your life. So yeah, this stuff is like not to make it dramatic, but this stuff is your birthright, right? So like, you know, we have to seek our own initiation. We have to seek our own one point, like catalyst and vehicle to get from one point to two point, because it's just not a standard in our society yet. Whereas thousands of years ago it was. It was totally part of it. They recognized this. They're like, yeah, we got to, you know, if we want to bring our deeper technologies online, we got to go through something. We got to learn and transform. And then in our society, like you said, it's like, yeah, you get a college degree. You're, you're self sufficient. Now go to your thing. Yeah. And then we do the absolute best we can. And then at some point, if you feel authentically, you're like, this isn't enough. I need more, I need more authentic expression. I need more health. I need more whatever. Then it's like, hey, you know, then you find things like this. Yeah, you know, it's like so, yeah, it's a super powerful when you step into it for sure. Yeah. Yeah, man, it's like that. I think until we get to that place in our life where we develop courage, I talk about courage a lot is like, you know, David Hawkins or Richard Hawkins scale of consciousness. He says, once you reach the vibrational frequency of courage, that's when everything changes. And like the brain, right, you talk about this a lot. It's designed to keep you safe and comfortable. Right. It's not designed to expose you to new novel things. It just it wants certainty. And so our default programming when we're struggling, whether it's with alcohol or stress or overwhelm or loneliness or sadness or grief or any sort of pain is to avoid it. Right. But inside of our pain, inside of the resistance is our liberation. It's our freedom. Right. It's like, you know, this is kind of the basis of what you teach and everything that we talk about. It's like, we came, we came to earth to learn lessons and we all have a curriculum and a syllabus and the painful experience of our of our life are not things to be avoided. You know, they're scary, right? Because it's like, what does it mean? Right. This has been a story that I've been attached to. I've been validated in this pain. You know, this person hurt me. This person came short. He wasn't there. She wasn't there. Whatever it might be. And so we don't want to revisit it because the raw sensation of those pins and needles in our body don't feel good. But it is precisely through developing the courage of exploring these things and creating awareness around them that we can begin to move through them, process them, heal them and transform them. And what every single person discovers, speaking from personal experiences, I'm sure you can too, is when you develop the courage to actually turn towards these things and be present to them and accept them, acknowledge them and then work through them, they become your greatest gifts and assets in life. You know, they become the foundation from which you can really stand on. They become your power. They become your wisdom. They become the gifts that you can then go out and share and give to your family and to your friends and to your work and to, you know, your creativity and into your expression. And so it's like, when I think about the human journey and if you just think about it like a ladder that you're climbing up, right? Like addiction or alcohol use disorder, alcohol is in whatever this problematic relationship with alcohol that we have. It's just a rung on the ladder. And I know that when you're in it and you are a fiend for the dopamine and it's just super simple, instant, easy access to solve your problems like the thought and idea of living without it seems so daunting, so terrifying. I know it felt like that for me. When I quit at 29, I thought my life was over, you know, but that's just the dopamine talking, right? That's not actual reflective of objective truth. In fact, when you develop the courage to begin this process and work through these things, life gets exponentially better in ways that you couldn't even conceive of yet, right? It's like we're all going through this evolution of consciousness. We're all expanding continually, right? Just like when you were seven years old, you had a certain level of consciousness, right? And then when you were 21 years old, you had a wildly more expanded map of reality, right? You can't even compare the two. Like it's no question. And if you're 40 listening to this, you probably have a wildly different expanded map of reality than when you were 10 years old or 21 years old, right? And so like there's something about alcohol that when you continue to drink it and numb, it doesn't matter how much more knowledge you gain, it doesn't matter how much more money you make, it doesn't matter how many more vacations you go on, like it stuns your consciousness, right? Because it's like there's so much underneath it, there's so much underneath it. When you begin to work through these things and process them and discover there's so many more tools and strategies, it's wild man. I mean, my life is quite literally 10x in every way from four years. ago. And four years ago, I thought it was over. I thought it was going to be a little mole in the corner and be bored and depressed the rest of my life. You know, but it just life keeps getting better. Yeah, dude. When I work with clients that have an addictive relationship with something, and it could be anything, it could be an addictive relationship with work, an addictive relationship with alcohol and addictive relationship with porn, right? So an addictive relationship is something where like we're engaging with the thing to mitigate a symptom while the while the route, like what really needs attention doesn't get it. Right. Right. You know, and so again, it's like we're addicted to our phone, right? Like when our, you know, it's like these little things that we use to like make a symptom go away. Wow, what's again, to kind of dissipate the smoke while the fire's still burning, right? And it, you know, it's like I encourage people to like view your addiction like an entity, like a like a living being. And it's like anything we have an addictive relationship with, especially alcohol, it's because we've entered into a contract with it. It's like, hey, alcohol, you give me these things, you give me comfort, you give me social confidence, you give me an escape. And what happens is the what the, what the, what the, what the other recipient asks keeps growing. So first alcohol is like, you know, in our Tony's alcohol is like, yeah, give me some time, give me some money and maybe hangover, right? Give me your morning. But the more we ask of alcohol, or the addiction, the more it's going to ask of us. So it's going to ask us for more, it's going to ask us for emotional bandwidth. It's going to ask us for time. It's going to ask us for our honesty. It's going to ask us for our health. It's going to ask us for our dreams, our future, right? So it's like the more we ask the alcohol to mask, it's a deal. So the alcohol is going to ask more of you, right? It's always going to ask significantly. Yeah, it's going to ask more of you, yeah, the deeper your relationship gets with it, right? Because you're asking more of it, you're asking it to mask even more for you. You're asking it to hold your life together. You're asking it to hold dysfunction in place, right? And so you can, you can almost think of alcohol as like a, just someone you've entered into a negotiation with. Alcohol is like, sure, I'll continue to hold your life together, quote unquote, but I'm going to need more from you. I'm going to, I'm going to need your your aspirations. I'm going to need your authenticity. I'm going to need your, your, your self love, right? It's going to, right? And so it's like, if at any point the, the, what it's asking is too much, that's when you, that's when it's your time to make a sincere decision. Yeah, right? Because maybe there are people listening to us that are like, I'm still okay with my negotiation so far, right? Like I feel like what I'm giving alcohol and what it's doing for me were, we're okay. But you'll notice, you'll notice if you really pay attention when it's, when it, when it's taking more than it's giving. Yeah. You know what I mean when it's taking more than it's giving, right? Like in, when I was struggling after my mom died, I had a, I entered into a relationship with painkillers and thank God, I don't know where this awareness came from. Because like I said, like I, I didn't have spiritual practices, but one day I was like, it's, it's, it's, it wants too much for me. And I just stopped, which I know with painkillers, it's super on, like, I don't know what was going on there. You know, like maybe in some past lives, I did some spiritual work. So I had maybe in this life, I had some, maybe some predisposed gifts towards it, but like thank God, but like there was just a moment where I'm like, I can't face my life without this. And then one day I woke up and I was like, it's asking too much with me. And it was just talking. Wow. You know, and so, and again, obviously like that, I consider that grace than anything like you know what I mean? Like that was just grace, right? But like to have that awareness and then know that yes, on the other side of it is something infinitely richer. Richard. Yeah. Right. Because that's what our addictions do. They, they, they, they're a backdoor way of replicating something good. It's a backdoor way of replicating acceptance or love or some of these emotions that we weren't, some of these needs we weren't able to fulfill when we were younger, right? They're, it's like backdoor ways of doing it. Right. But that's the thing in addiction. It doesn't, because it doesn't touch the root, it doesn't do anything. Yeah, it's an authentic. It just doesn't work. Right. It like doesn't, it doesn't do what we think it's doing. Right. A mentor of mine once said he's like, dude, if addictions worked, let's all go do heroin. He's like, but he's like, they just don't work. He's like, take the morality out of it, take the judgment out of it. He's like, it's, it's the, it's the, it's the, um, the definition of insanity. It does not do what we think it's doing. Yeah. Yeah. It's an illusion. It's an illusion, right? And so, you know, it takes great courage to be like, and faith, right? Because faith is that driving energy of like, even though I can't see it yet, there's something better coming. Even though it hasn't registered on the sense level yet, there's something good coming, right? And I think that's where like the spiritual component is super helpful and diving into the quantum physics component of it is like vibrationally energetically, there's plenty you don't see yet that is closer than you could imagine, right? And so these higher potentials of a more authentic life, a more healthy life, a more successful life, they're just as close as the dysfunction, but they need to be cultivated so that you can, you actualize them, right? And, you know, we won't go too far down that rabbit hole. You know, uh, not yet at least. Yeah, not yet at least, but, you know, and so it's like, yeah, it takes total courage and faith to do this. And then having community is super important because it's like you get the the tribal effect, you know, the resident circuitry and our subconscious mind starts to turn on. It's like, oh shit, I'm not alone. And then we start to get empowered, right? So, you know, yeah, don't try to do it alone, it's, uh, yeah, it's unnecessary. Yeah, the protector becomes the prison guard. The protector becomes a prison guard. I was just creating one of the trainings for the program and it's right there. The protector becomes the prison guard. Yeah, yeah, yeah, it's wild stuff. Yeah, yeah, good stuff, man. Yeah, yeah, super excited for this group and the community pieces is so huge. I mean, if you look back at, um, I've got like a video testimonial of, or I've got a bunch of video testimonials on the website and, and almost everybody mentions the community, there's something really powerful about being in an environment where everybody's on the same frequency, everybody's trying to get better. And in a case like this and everybody who's going to be in this program just gets it, right? It's not like you're talking to your friend or your wife or your, you know, who like can moderate or control their drink or like whatever. And they're just like, well, why don't you just stop? Like why don't you just have to and just like cut back? It's like, nah, it doesn't work that way. You know, so everybody who's in this community just gets it, right? Like nobody's going to be in this program who like doesn't really struggle with alcohol and like really, really wants to get their life together. So when you're in that type of energy current, like you said, there's something real powerful to it, you know, no shame, no judgment, you know, it just everybody's here to help, everybody's here to support. Yeah. Yeah, a huge pressure gets lifted for real. And like, I've experienced this, you know, I've been on my journey for seven, eight years and I've gone to some pretty, you know, I've learned from some really intense teachers and have gone to some really special places. And it's easy for my ego to be like, oh, yeah, I'm past that. And then there are times when I'm struggling with something and then literally just hearing someone be like, yeah, I struggle with that. And here's what I did. It takes a huge pressure off like, oh, I'm not alone. Yeah. Like I'm not, I'm not some damaged weirdo that's alone. Like I'm not, I'm not the exception. You know what I mean? Like, I can't be how many times just here and someone be like, yeah, me too. I struggle with that sometimes. I'm like, oh, fuck, it almost, D kind of takes the fangs out of it. Yeah, makes it so much more liftable. Managing. Totally. Whoa. So yeah. And there's so much of that like in this early recovery journey, right? You know, people getting like cravings or urges from time to time or struggling in social situations or, you know, having a little bit of time and sobriety and then still, you know, they've been drinking for 30 years and, you know, maybe they've got three months and maybe from time to time, like the thought of alcohol still crosses their mind, which is 100% reasonable. You know, it's like, you've been drinking for 30 years. Like, but they, you know, when you're alone and you're not doing it with a group or you don't have community and connection and people you can talk to, it's like, you start to trip out. You're like, you know, can I really do this? Like, are these thoughts ever going to go away? How do I manage them? How do I get through them? And so yeah, knowing you've got people around you who you can talk to, bounce ideas off of and all that stuff. It, it, yeah, it, it makes the process in a way like so much more peaceful, you know, you're not doing it alone. Yeah, man, I've got a couple notes here of maybe a couple things we could maybe dig into. We covered a lot of really good stuff and I feel like people got a pretty good understanding of your feel and your energy and your vibe and some of your perspectives and some of the ways that you speak. Do you think let's see, do you think there's any like fears that people might have? Like, let's say people are listening to this and they're like on the fence. Maybe they've tried some other programs before. Mind you, there's no other sobriety program. I've kind of looked at a lot of them. There's no program that offers the structure and the systems and like the backend that's here. But let's say somebody's been like, man, I've tried to code, try to try it, you know, what's different? And in your eyes, when you might look at some other people in the way they're running things, like what do you think is different about us? Yeah, I mean, like the, I would say like the tears, right? Like the tears of like group, like live group plus ongoing community plus the like the transformational course material. And the daily system. Yeah, yeah. Like the in the in the daily habits, it's like it creates like the saturation process. You know what I'm saying, right? Like like it kind of creates this conveyor belt almost where it's like you're getting you're getting impressed in this way and then you're getting impressed like this and then you know, you're doing the self work. And then so yeah, it kind of creates this like real good surface to medium to deep level saturation where this stuff is like seeking in on a lot of levels. Like an immersion. Yeah. And so like one thing we could say is like listen, like what makes this different is like through some of the group calls and through some of the guided experiences, like transformation, true transformation is experiential. It's not theoretical. And so a lot of groups can tell you what needs to change and even tell you how it needs to change. But unless you have someone, unless you have a vehicle that can actually help you go to some of these places at the experiential level, it's not going to stick or click, right? And so we can say like, yeah, like you'll get on these calls and you'll feel something. You'll do some of these guided, like healing based hypnosis and you'll experience something. Right? And so like we could we can hit on that like, hey, it's like theories great information is great. Accountability is great. All you can find those things in a lot of places, but like, you know, we're very consciously intentional about getting into the experiential level at times. Yeah, really just into the body. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. Like using experience to like really solidify these changes. Yeah. Yeah, what, yeah, I mean, those are all really solid coins. Like part of what, part of what's so profound around like the course material that we have in this program is that it's structured inside of really deep principles inside of neural linguistic programming and NLP, NLP and hypnosis, which a lot of people just haven't tapped into or become aware of like internal representations. Right. Like we're creating consciousness, but most people are kind of a passive bystander to it. And so when you start going into some of these guided meditations and it starts adjusting submodalities and it starts, you start going into disassociation versus association and you're, you begin to make all these shifts to what's actually happening within your consciousness. It kind of opens new doors because all of a sudden you become aware of changes that can be made internally that previously were there, but you had no way of accessing. So yeah, I mean, I'm super excited for the program with everything coming together. It's like it's a full stack. It's a full stack. So before we kind of wrap things up, I'm just, I'm just going to run through kind of what the program is. So, you know, if you were to work with me one on one prior to this moment and you got on a call with me and we spent 30, 40 minutes talking about you, getting to know you, I'm asking you questions. Once I feel like it's a good fit, we go into the details of the program. So I'm going to share that. It's probably like a five minute overview of the program itself because we're no longer doing calls and you just sign up straight through the program. I want everyone who's listening to really get a good understanding. So the way the program works is once you sign up and you get access to the community, you're going to fill out in onboarding form. And the onboarding form has about 40 questions and I want you to look at this as kind of like your personal roadmap and life manifesto has 40 questions and it goes into things like your childhood, your upbringing, your relationship with your family and parents. You'd be surprised a lot of people think they had perfect childhoods and then when you dig deep into it, it's like there's a lot there that they weren't even conscious to were made the connection around that could be potentially causing some dysfunction. So you gain a lot of clarity around that. Then it kind of goes into your mindset, your beliefs, your self image, your values, your emotional temperament. So you can kind of get a gauge on kind of what your personality is in that regard. Then it looks at your drinking habits and triggers and then you start to future pace out and establish a vision for who you can be. Right. What's the goal? What's what's the vision? Who could you be without alcohol? If you've got another 30, 40, 50, 60 years left to live, like, what's the vision? And this is where a lot of people or programs in the traditional recovery kind of miss. This is kind of where like the life coaching aspect comes in. It's like, okay, once you put the bottle down, what's next? You know, what do we want to start to embody and move into? So inside of this questionnaire, this is going to kind of be something that you can continue to reference and come back to and it's going to be a really good storehouse of information around how you can navigate kind of your journey, what you might need to work on and things like that and provide a sort of a goal, a compass forward. From there, you're going to follow a lifestyle transformation system. There's a checklist of several items that you follow every single day. And these things help optimize and nourish your mind, your body, your spirit, and your neurochemistry. And this is the piece that almost every other program leaves out. If you've been listening to my content, you've been hearing about dopamine addiction, alcohol, dopamine, I mean, it's at the crux of craving. It's at the crux of constantly thinking about alcohol. And so every single day in the program, you're going to be doing things that not only optimize mind body spirit, but also your neurochemistry and specifically your dopamine. And anecdotally, people who have come through the program have reported up to about an 80% reduction in cravings versus any other time they've tried before because of this proprietary process. The program really digs in on helping you improve your mental and emotional regulation. You do things that help you increase your window of tolerance to stress and discomfort. You learn dozens and dozens and dozens of new coping strategies, craving support techniques and strategies. So if you ever do get cravings for alcohol, you've got several tools under tool belt to help you get through them successfully without having a drink. Accountability is a major, major part of this program in process. So every evening, you check into the program with kind of an update of how your day went and the things that you completed on your proprietary list. And everybody checks in together and that's where everybody connects and engages with each other and supports each other. And then once a week, there's as of now, once a week, but probably at some point down the line will introduce more calls. But as of now, once a week, there's a weekly group coaching called held by Julian. If you want to take a quick 30 seconds to kind of share, what are those calls kind of look like? How are they structured and what can people expect? Yeah. So, you know, each call is the main intention, right, is to one in power, whoever's listening, with again, a deeper understanding of themselves, their technologies, their operating systems, so that ultimately they're more empowered to navigate those things consciously. And so, you know, depending on the call, depending on the week, depending on, you know, depending on, like the shared intention of the people that show up, it could be anywhere from like a guided meditation into, you know, into learning super, you know, in-depth concepts of like, hey, here's, what needs to change? And then sometimes on those calls will actually do guided, whether it's a guided and LP experience or a guided hypnosis, and will actually do the, here's how it changes, right? And so, the calls will be anywhere from like, arming you with trainings, tactics, and just helping you expand your consciousness of who you are and who you're becoming. And then, some of the calls will actually be more experiential, like, hey, you know, like put your headphones on, put your phone on, do not disturb, because for the next 45 minutes as a group, we're going to do some change work. And so, it's going to flow between the two. And then obviously, there's always going to be opportunities for, if you have something that's pressing, if you have a specific question for how to apply the specific material to your specific situation, there's always going to be time for Q&A, there's always going to be time for you to like, use your voice and ask for like specified support and coaching. So it's going to be, it's going to be like hybrid, hybrid work. Yeah, beautiful man. I love it. Yeah, those, those group coaching calls change my life. So very, yeah, they're powerful, my. Yeah, and then so outside of the weekly group coaching call, there's two community calls held by one of the members in the community who's been around a while. And those two community calls are kind of open format. They're not facilitated or coached like the group coaching calls. They're like a Zoom that opens up where people can hop on and connect and talk and give support, share support, talk about their experiences, ask questions. And those are another really great way to connect on a regular basis and feel more accountable, more connected, more supported throughout the week. Of course, there's a course aspect to this as well. Currently, I've got about 25 or 26 video lessons in there that covers everything from sobriety, the sobriety journey to some really advanced mental mental and emotional regulation strategies. And then there's some healing assets and guided meditations in there that Julian created. And I know right now Julian, as of the 19th of December, you are working on bringing over another, like I think you said, 20 or 25 more video assets and guided meditations. And so by the time the group launches by the first week, we'll have all those in there. So we're going to have 50, probably around 50 or so video assets, guided meditations, healing assets, inner child healing work. I mean, it's going to cover the full spectrum A to Z. On top of that, I've already got dozens and dozens and dozens of personally curated book recommendations, podcasts, videos, YouTube videos that covers everything from sobriety to the neuroscience of alcohol to mental and emotional regulation to spirituality to just the full spectrum. I mean, the vision for the stop drinking coach is that by the end of next year, we'll have double triple the assets. And it's going to be in the way this community is going to grow and evolve is going to be interactive. So if you're going through this process and you find or discover that, hey, I've got this problem or challenge that I perhaps don't see a resource for, you can submit a request to the team and we'll go in and we'll create an asset for you. We'll create a video. We'll create a guided meditation around it. So you can imagine six months from now, 12 months from now, 18 months from now, like there is going to be quite literally every possible asset and resource and video for quite literally anything that anybody might experience on the sobriety journey and personal transformation journey. And it's just going to keep growing. It's just going to keep getting better. And yeah, yeah, that's the overview of the program. And so the core pillars are, you've got the weekly group coaching calls and community calls. You've got this proprietary daily system that nobody else offers that is profoundly powerful at optimizing mind body spirit in neurochemistry and reducing cravings, daily accountability and tons and tons and tons and tons of resources. Look at it as you're kind of step by step blueprint to not only quitting drinking, but personally transforming on all the levels that you're seeking. And so yeah, that's a quick overview of the program. So everybody listening has has a better understanding of kind of what's all involved. And yeah, I guess we'll kind of wrap things up. If you know, before I kind of dig into kind of a quick next step, is there anything else that that comes to mind, Julian, that you'd want to share? Regardless of the program or just in general, just in general, yeah, anything. Yeah, it would just to be it would just to reaffirm something we already said about like, you know, like you mentioned the David Hawkins spectrum of consciousness thing. And you're right, like where there's acceptance and courage, it's like this portal opens up. Yeah, right? You have like at the wayway at the bottom, you have guilt and shame and fear and apathy, right? Very low dense vibrations. Nothing can really move there. Nothing can change there. You know, just think about it like this, whatever is condemned doesn't leave, right? You can dem somebody in lock him in jail. They're not going anywhere. Right? Acceptance and courage opens the door. Right? And so yeah, if you're listening to this and, you know, whether you feel called to take action on the group or you just feel called to take action in some way on your own journey, it's like, yeah, that acceptance and that courage, right? Like accepting like everything that is transpired got me exactly here. You can either view that as like a travesty or you've you can like, like, like, like, like, party a story. It may just take some time in retrospect to make perfect sense, right? Like, like, like, you got to dance with the darkness a little bit to understand how light you are, right? And so, yeah, acceptance and courage, like, don't, they sound cliche, they sound nice, they sound nice, nice, like, hallmark cards, but truly making a sincere decision, like, I accept where I am at, no guilt, no shame, and I have the courage to, like, at least believe something better, my best days are still ahead of me, even though I can't see them, feel them yet. That's a good thing, that means they're new, right? That means they're not a repetition of the past. So, yeah, don't sleep on the power of, like, sincerely not fucking around, being like, I accept where I'm at. I'm not settling for that, I accept I'm here, but I have the courage to at least explore and ask what's next. - Beautifully said, man, yeah, beautifully shared. Yeah, beautiful, yeah, and with that, I think we can, we can wrap up this awesome podcast, man. Thanks for, thanks for hopping on. Couple last things I'll kind of share guys is, and like Julian said, like, I might be biased, I might think I have the best program because it's the program that I used to quit drinking, and I was a very, very, very severe case. But if you've been listening to my podcast for a while, and you've kind of flipped, or gone back and forth, regardless of whether you work this program, I encourage everybody who struggles with alcohol, who has not been able to stop on their own successfully, to work a program, not because I'm just the guy who pushes a program, but because that's what I finally need it. You know, and so, people are always like, who should I work with, or what are other resources out there? And I just say, look it up, right? Find the person that you most energetically resonate with. Look at how they talk, look at how they speak, look at how they formulate their ideas, look at the substance of their conversation, listen to their energy, feel their intention, and choose the program or the option that feels the most energetically aligned. Because when you go into sort of a coaching container, you're going into this open, energetically tethered space, right? You're gonna be taking on the lessons and wisdom and energy and inside and ideas and motivation and perspectives and support of the person that you're working with. And so you wanna make sure that you feel energetically aligned to that. And so yeah, so if you're at a place where you sincerely want to quit drinking, you're tired of the damage, you're tired of the same old stories that the games, the damage to your relationships and kids and future and health. Go to the website, www.thestopdrinkingcoach.com. I've got a video presentation on there you can watch. And then if you click through, you can sign up right on the website. Like I mentioned in the beginning, there's a bunch of video testimonial screenshots. Like take time to review those. Those are people just like you who listen to my podcast, who found me on TikTok, who saw me on Instagram, who decided to reach out and join my program and work with me one-on-one. And that's their personal testimony and experience. None of them are curated. I just took a screenshot and threw it on the website. In another big piece, like to work with me previously, it costs quite a bit more. But I've brought the price of the group program down to just 1997. It's 2K. And if you have a reasonable credit score of at least 650, you can choose to pay overtime at checkout using a firm after pay or clarina. Depending on what monthly payment option you choose, it can bring it down to less than $100 a month, which is absolutely insane. It's like for to get access to all this stuff that's like, just speaking from personal experience, as Julian, as my mentor and personal coach, this is super elite stuff that I was exposed to a few years ago. You no longer have to piece me on anything. You don't have to watch a video here and read a book there. It just puts it all together for you with community support, a full blueprint and guide. So yeah, if you feel called to, would absolutely love to have you part of the program. And with that, yeah, I think we'll wrap up this live. Our first group call is going to be January 7th, which is going to be a Tuesday at 7pm Central. So as of now, what we're thinking is the group calls are going to be held Tuesdays at 7pm Central. And this will, this is kind of the best time that we could work out and hopefully gives everybody an opportunity to get off work and kind of settle in and have an opportunity to help on those calls. So yeah, thanks for hopping on Julian. I'm super excited to do some more podcasts down the line and kick off the New Year, man. Sounds good, buddy. Thank you. Yeah, thank you. Hope everybody has a great holiday, good new year. And yeah, we'll see you soon.

He explains his philosophy of following intuitive nudges, which guided him from fitness to transformational work, and emphasizes that addiction is not a moral failing but a symptom of deeper pain that requires addressing root causes.
