How Grant Elliott Grew From 0 to 3M Followers and Built the First 8-Figure Online Health Business

In this episode of Entrepreneurs on Fire, host JLD interviews Dr. Grant Elliott, founder of Rehab Fix, who shares his journey from zero to three million organic followers and building an eight-figure online health business. Dr. Grant emphasizes that successful content creation involves giving away complete solutions for free, focusing on solving real problems like back pain, which naturally attracts and engages audiences. He broke the time-for-money trap common in healthcare by realizing that patients pay for results, not for his personal presence; this insight led him to delegate tasks and develop scalable online programs, allowing him to serve more people efficiently. To convert attention into paying clients, he recommends using clear calls to action in social media posts, implementing a video sales letter (VSL) on websites, offering lead magnets, and setting up automated email sequences that guide prospects toward free consultations. For selling high-ticket healthcare programs, Dr. Grant stresses the importance of conviction in one’s value—for instance, saving a patient from a $10,000 surgery justifies charging at least $5,000—and building a sales process that gradually demonstrates worth rather than trying to sell high-priced services immediately. Overall, his approach combines strategic content creation, systematic delegation, and value-driven sales to scale a healthcare business effectively.

Grant say what's up to Fire Nation and share something that you believe about becoming successful that most people disagree with. What is up Fire Nation stoked to be here. And the thing that I believe most people will maybe not most people listening to this. But I would say most of the general public believes about becoming successful is that I think literally almost anybody can. Like sure there's going to be some outlying scenarios, but I think almost anybody can be successful. I think almost anybody can make over $100,000 a month if they want to. If they care about doing it, if they put in the work, if they're willing to invest in to help and to do the things that majority of people don't want to do, I think being successful is a decision. And I think all that you have to do is just decide to be and I think you can. Well, listen Fire Nation, Dr. Grant decided to grow from zero to three million followers and build the first eight figure online health business. So we are talking to a right person, so to speak. And I want to do I do want to start by talking about that going from zero to three million Dr. Grant because you literally and I mean literally had zero and then went to three million followers. And we're talking organically because listen, you can buy followers. There's bots these days. We're talking organically though. So what kind of content actually drives that level of growth content that is produced in a way that you're trying. To give 100% of the answers and make zero dollars from it because that's literally what I did when I first started my social media. I didn't think it was possible to make any money online. I didn't think it was possible. I started my social media to help people with low back pain for the purpose of building a portfolio. Literally no goal besides that. I'm just going to post. I'm just going to see how many followers I can grow if I can make my posts better. If I can fix more people without them ever having to come to me because I can't make money doing this. I can't create an online business that doesn't exist. And this is just going to be for a brick and mortar health clinic in the future. So that's how I positioned it. I said with what I'm learning how I'm fixing people with discernation, sciatica, various low back ailments. How can I package this in a video to be as effective as humanly possible just to see if I can fix everyone around the world? And that was the degree of value that I positioned all of my content. And that's what everybody needs to do. And your content will go absolutely on fire when you think of it that way. And you don't think of it like why don't we give away all the answers. I don't want to show everything. If you think that way, you're going to hold yourself back. That's the mindset of scarcity fire nation opposed to the mindset of abundance. I mean, be abundance with the value that you're giving to this world. I mean, I love this one sentence, which is become the number one solution to a real problem in a growing industry. And like, let's just take back pain for a second. What a problem. I mean, who at some point in the life doesn't have back pain. In fact, so many people deal with chronic back pain every minute of every day. And what wouldn't they give, by the way, to get rid of that back pain, to alleviate that back pain, to probably improve that back pain? Well, they would definitely give a like a follow. They would share with their family and their friends when all of a sudden people are like, "Wow, like you're walking like a lot straighter. You're not like grimacing in pain all the time." Well, let me tell you about Dr. Grant. I mean, this is what it means to become the number one solution to a real problem in a growing industry. Now, I want to talk about breaking the time for money trap, because so many of us, Dr. Grant, we are stuck in the money trap. And I shouldn't say we because I'm not part of that. I haven't part of that for 15 years. But I was part of that at one point. So I remember it. I get it. I can still taste it. It's visceral. It's there. What was the moment that you realized you had to stop treating time for money and start building scalable programs instead of just doing the visit by visit care that all of your peers do? The biggest moment was when I had my first child and I was working six days a week. Monday through Friday was jam packed. Saturday, I would take sales calls back to back to back to back for 7 a.m. until 7 p.m. every Saturday. And my wife kind of had a moment and she was like, "Hey, you're making us great money." And that's important. But like, you're not really around. From my perspective, I'm like, I love to work. I could work all day long. It's all I want to do. I love it. She's like, this is not sustainable. Like, you got to at least get your weekend back. You got to get some breaks in here for family and for stuff. So I had to start thinking, well, how do I do that? Well, it was only me at the time. I was the one being show. So how do I get these Saturday calls taken? How do I get these chunks of tasks completed throughout the week if it can't be me? Well, I guess I have to hire. And so the very first hire I made was a light bulb moment for me. Because like many chiropractors and physical therapists and other healthcare providers alike who are providing 101 treatment, they think it has to be me. I'm the only one that can do it. Everybody wants me. I got to do the treatment. I got to be the one to meet with them. I got to do this. I got to do that because they're paying for me. And it's not true. They're paying for the result. That's what they're paying for. And you can find someone who is as good as you or better than you at the given task that you need to delegate. And that was a huge light bulb moment for me to not only realize, hey, someone else can actually do something in my business other than me. That immediately helped me grow that area. And the other in regards to providing virtual rehab programs for people, that was a moment where I was realizing I could only fit in so many 101 sessions in day. And I felt like I was capping out very prematurely. And then I had this moment. This will be a quick story. Sure. A patient was late for a visit. They called me, there were five minutes before the appointment. Hey, I'm like 20 minutes away, Grant. I, you know, it's my fault. Go ahead and charge me. I'll see you next week. And I said, okay, no problem. So I charged him. And in that evening, I felt bad because I was still early in my business. So I texted him. I said, hey, I feel really bad. Can I like get on a call with you and just see if I can help you in some way? It's like, sure. So we got on a phone call. I checked in with him. He says, hey, I was just going to tell you today that the movements you gave me last week. My pain's down like 30%. Like that, that new rehab exercise you gave me is really helping. And I said, okay, well, all I was going to do if you gave me that report, was give you the next progression. So let me do this. Let me record myself doing it on my phone. I'll text you a video. You watch that video. You practice it. You send it back to me. I'll critique your form. I'll make sure you're doing it good. And then I'll tell you how many times to do it and when to do it. So that's what we did. I gave him the prescription. I said, all right, you look good. Do it this many times per day. This many, you know, this often. And I'll see you next week. He comes in next week. Goes, grant. My pain's down like an additional 50%. Because of that movement instruction. You gave me. So in the future, if there's ever a week where my schedule is extra hectic, can we just do my visit that way? Because you still gave me the plan that I needed. And it saved me time. And that's when I realized, wait, if I can package my expertise, if I can package my exercise rehab, movement coaching into a platform so that I don't have to do it. And I can delegate it to a system so it can be done for me. Then it takes the focus and emphasis away from my one-on-one time. So now not only can I begin to charge for the result, but I don't have to be there to actually deliver it. And that was a massive unlock in my brick and mortar potential, which then eventually took me 100% online. I mean, fire nation, that's the light ball moment. That you get when you're actually doing the thing, when you're taking action. You know, people, People are like, "Oh my God, Dr. Grant is so lucky." No, guess what? He was putting in the efforts. The opportunity came and he capitalized on it. And he got quote-unquote lucky. But guess what? It comes from taking action, putting in the efforts. We're gonna talk about turning attention to clients, high ticket healthcare programs, and more when we get back from thinking our sponsors. Dr. Grant, we are back and I want to talk about turning attention into clients because a lot of people, and I mean a lot of people, they get views, but no revenue. What's the best way to convert social media attention or website traffic into actual clients or patients? And I'm happy you're asking me this because there are so many accounts that I'm connected with that have hundreds of thousands of followers. And we talk business and we disclose how much we're making. They're making like, honestly a fraction of what I am. Like I cannot believe how little they're making. And it's because they don't have systems, they don't have funnels, they don't have a head ticket offer, they have no conversion strategies. They are not capitalizing on the audience they've built and on the effort that they've put in. So here's a couple simple things. And there's much more to this. But for anyone who's like, hey, I want to grow social media, I want to post more. Well, you don't want that effort to go to waste if you don't have a conversion process for that because you want people to see your stuff to buy your stuff and ultimately for them to get the life change thereafter. So if you're posting short form content for a majority of platforms, a really simple way is you need to have a call to action at the bottom of your caption. You have a call to action at the end of the post as well. And really common ones that are simple could be, hey, message me the word blank for you can plug a guide or you can plug a free demo call. And that's primarily what we do. At the end of our video is we say, hey, message me the word pain for a free back pain fixed demo with my team. People will comment. Our automated system will reply to their comment. DM them. Have a conversation. We booked them into a call and they enter our sales process that way. Or maybe you say, hey, comment the word this for a guide. Someone comments it, you DM the guide. Now you start a conversation. You have a good DM script to go through to find pain points and to find alignments, offer a call, get on a call. And once again, the sales process begins from there. That is a very, very simple way to start doing this. But we talk to people who have tons of views and they don't have any call to actions. They don't have any sales process. They don't have any offer. So big surprise. They're not making any money doing this. From a website standpoint, very similar. A lot of docs and a lot of other entrepreneurs put a lot of effort into SEO companies and building website traffic. And these are great. But what I see the most amongst chiropractors and physical therapists is that they have a good website, maybe. Good traffic. But zero funnel. Zero funnel on their website. It's just, hey, click here to book an appointment. That's not a funnel. So here's a few simple strategies. One, you should absolutely have a VSL on your website. VSL stands for Video Sales Letter. And if it's going to be on your website in this format, it should only be about a minute to a minute and a half. The general format is, hey, if you're in this area and you're struggling with this type of pain, here's why you're stuck with that. Because common health care gives you this, this, this, and here's why it doesn't work. What you're missing is this, this, this. And here's how we provide you that exactly at our clinic by doing this, by doing this, and by doing this. So if you want to see if this approach will work for you, that helps our clients get on average X amount of improvement in Y amount of time, then all you need to do is click below to schedule a free consultation. That is money for you right there. That is worth literally 100 grand, because I know what this generates. Install that, have a good script, which I basically just gave you, have good editing, but need that, that's the called action, free consultation. They click the button, then they go to a contact form page where they enter information to schedule a discovery call. This is a phone call. If you get someone on the phone, then you're going to be able to get them into the clinic. If you get them into the clinic, you're going to be able to help them and close a deal and change someone's life. Now, if you don't, or sorry, now if they don't complete those steps, if they get distracted, if they think, hey, I'm not ready to, you know, invest on my health, the editor, like take action, I'm kind of just window shopping. And they go to exit the browser. You need a lead magnet funnel. So they go to exit, something pops up on your website that says, hey, I'm going to give you this guide, or I'm going to give you this piece of gold if you give me your email. They put in their email, they're sent the guide. Super value packed guide at the bottom of the guide, there's a button to schedule the free consultation button for the call to action. If they don't do that, then you should have a workflow sequence that engages where the next day, the next day, up until eight to 10 days, there's a proper sequence that's giving value and then pushing to schedule console, giving value, pushing to schedule console. This is completely automated because the best way for you to sell a patient and help a patient get pain free is by getting in front of them. And so having a VSL on your website instead of some generic background photo that doesn't say anything about what you do, that's the closest you can get to getting in front of them without actually being there, connecting with their pain point, establishing intent and getting them into your process to help them get pain free. Fire Nation, this is pure gold. And when I say pure gold, I mean like the purest form of gold. So many people are working so hard and they don't have these simple things in place. So sometimes, like I look at people and I'm like, they're not even giving people a way to pay them to take that next step. And it's so frustrating because if that bridge was there, that bridge would be crossed. And I want to talk about high ticket healthcare programs. So I think a lot of people are like, yeah, you know, $39 for this PDF, like $17 to join my mastermind. We're talking six to $10,000 programs that actually deliver better results for patients. How can healthcare professionals confidently sell those type of problems? Dr. G. Starts with conviction. The biggest thing is it starts with conviction, because if you don't know what your worth is and you don't believe what your worth is, then everything about you, everything about your process, everything about the words that you use, the narrative that you have, will not justify the value necessary to sell your worth. So you got to understand what your worth is. Like to put it simple for our healthcare providers out there, let's just say you help someone cancel a $10,000 surgery. Do you think your worth at least half of that? I think so. I think if you save someone 10 grand you saved them the risk of an invasive procedure. You save them the risk of going under. You save them the risk of that surgery failing, and needing more procedures after and turning into a chronic pain patient. I think if you save them all that risk, think you're worth at least half that. I think that's a pretty fair evaluation. So understand the value you bring to the table. You need to be convicted in that. That's step one. Once you're like, all right, I got it now. This is what I'm worth. I know that I need to charge this. Well, the next step is, well, how do you do it? Majority of chiroz and PT's, they're selling straight from the initial console. So they're usually having one visit and then selling sessions or selling a membership, whatever it might be. You have not built significant value to justify a higher price point at a lower price point sales process. The sales process has to change with your price point. And the goal of the sales process is to build value to position yourself as the solution that you are and to help them get in the mindset where they're prepared for change. So a really effective sales process that we teach a ton of our car practicant and physical therapy students students who are in our mentorship program is once again start with a phone. call really simple way to get some engagement. It's not a high obligation for them to come to the office or anything. Just get them on the phone. Get them on the phone. Get them in the office for a free console, build value, build value, usually a mini exam, mini treatment for no cost. Help them realize, wow, this is legit. Like you can help me. Then charge a higher amount for your full e-value, for your full shabang. Get deliver killer results. Huge transformation in that one visit through the right movements, the right rehab protocols, which we teach you by the way. Get huge results in that first e-value. By that point, you built so much value. You've had so many touch points. They have so much trust with you that now it is quite easy to propose your value at six to 10,000 and have very consistent conversion rates at that. And then of course, having good sales training, knowing how to navigate objections, knowing how to help individuals overcome their own mindset and their own obstacles so that they can say, yes, more often. I mean, fire nation, if you haven't been taking a copious amount of notes, I hope you go back, listen to this again and bring your pen and pat a paper this time because Dr. Grant is dropping serious value bombs. And I wish the week of talk all day about this stuff because this is the stuff that matters, fire nation. This is the stuff to get you to where you want to be revenue wise so that you can keep helping more people, keep giving more value to the world. So I want to end with a being Dr. Grant, give us the first steps to scale. I mean, if somebody who's listening right now, they want to build a scalable online or maybe even hybrid healthcare business, where should they start? So think about it in four stages. Stage one, lead generation, stage two, sales process, stage three, core offer and stage four, continuity maintenance. So one, you need to think, how am I going to get my eyeballs? You need to develop a strategy for how you're going to generate consistent and predictable new patients or new clients. The two methods of doing that are paid traffic, inorganic traffic. You need a strategy for both. Then once you get eyeballs, where are they funneling into? What is the design of that sales process? Now you need a refined, inefficient sales process that has appropriate automations and systems to support every step. Once you're through the sales process, you need a good core offer. How do you pitch? What are you pitching? How much is it? What's the structure of it? You need that down. Once you have those three steps, now after you help someone solve their problem, what is now something you can offer them that aligns with their goal at that point that they can continue to achieve an optimal life. And you can continue to maintain revenue. Those are the four key pieces that we help someone go through and master every step so that you know where to start. You know what to optimize at every step and you can get your business to where you want it to be. So a fire nation wants to connect with you, Dr. Grant. They want to learn more about what you have going on. Obviously, if anybody has low back pain, go check out rehab fix. For sure. I've already bookmarked it myself. What do you want to give as a call to action for fire nation today? Absolutely. Go to my Instagram rehab fix message me the word, well, not the word, multiple words. Seven figure formula, seven figure formula. You do that. We're going to send you a message that will contain a link to a training that I created that literally breaks down how I built from zero to three million followers. So the structure of my videos, how I create my hooks, how I create them, the flow of them, the call to actions that I found work best. And then when someone goes through those steps, the exact sales process that we take them through the exact structure we use to optimize majority of steps. This is completely free. It's not posted anywhere. And then of course, at the end of that, if you want the chance to schedule a free strategy session with us, where we'll show you internally exactly what we're doing to generate over $400,000, $500,000 per month right now. We'll literally show you exactly what we're doing. We don't hold anything back. Okay. What was that message again? Seven figure formula with the number seven, not spelled out number seven, seven figure formula. Very important in fire nation. Powerful stuff here. 2. He broke the time-for-money trap by realizing patients pay for results, not for him personally; delegating tasks and creating scalable online programs allowed him to serve more people without being physically present.
  3. To convert attention into clients, essential strategies include clear calls to action in social media captions and videos, a video sales letter (VSL) on websites, lead magnets, and automated email sequences to guide prospects toward consultations.
  4. Selling high-ticket healthcare programs (e.g., $6,000–$10,000) requires conviction in one’s worth—for example, saving a patient from a $10,000 surgery justifies charging at least half that amount—and a sales process that builds value over time rather than selling immediately from an initial consultation.

Summary:

FAQs

He created content that gave 100% of the answers for free, aiming to help people without making money. This abundance mindset made his content highly valuable and shareable.

After having his first child and working six days a week, his wife said it was unsustainable. He hired staff and created virtual rehab programs, realizing people pay for results, not just his time.

Add a call to action in captions and videos, like 'message me the word pain for a free demo.' Use automated systems to reply, DM, and book calls, then start a sales process.

Install a 1-2 minute Video Sales Letter (VSL) that addresses pain points and offers a free consultation. Add a lead magnet pop-up for email capture, then automate a follow-up sequence pushing to schedule a call.

Start with conviction about your worth—e.g., if you save someone a $10,000 surgery, you're worth half that. Then change your sales process to build value before quoting the price, rather than selling cheap packages first.

They lack systems, funnels, high-ticket offers, and conversion strategies. Without calls to action or a sales process, views don't turn into paying clients.
