You in the mouth. With prices that can knock you out. That's a low blow. Totally. But you can do something about it. You have to punch back. No, Mike. You gotta switch to Boost. With a plan that's $25 a month, forever. Oh, that's a great plan. Maybe
Speaker 3you can do both. Boost Mobile, what's your plan? $1,100. That's what you could be saving on Texas home insurance every year. What would you do with all that extra cash? You could go on a nice weekend getaway. You could finally get to those home repairs. Or you could go on a vacation. You could go on a vacation. You could buy like 150 pounds of brisket. Speaker 7Welcome to the favorites. Presented by DraftKings, the crown is yours. We are an action network podcast. I'm your host, Brandon Kravitz, joined by the first lady, Kendra Middleton. Week six, full breakdown preview, our official five plays. We will enter into the contest with our guest analyst, John Yastrzemski, one of our favorites. Three and two last week in the contest. Not bad. Still waiting for that elusive five and O, Kendra. Our producer said he would do some pretty weird stuff if we got that. So that is the carrot hanging at the end of the show.
Speaker 8It is. And this week is a terrible card, so I don't feel great about it. But how funny would it be if it was?
Speaker 7Well, and that's usually the way that it goes. So the more gross, the better is the way that I have tried to enter into this NFL wagering endeavor. I just have to stop betting on the L.A. Chargers. Otherwise, I'm going to lose all the money that I have saved for retirement. Me and the Patriots. Yeah, that's on you, Herbert. Are a little. I mean, I guess not rocking at 100 percent right now. You had a busy night last night. What were you up to?
Speaker 8Yeah, I am a little hungover. I think the two times that I've decided to have a drink before recording, you guys have somehow sabotaged my plans by asking me to record early. If this is a safe space, which I know this is going on the Internet, I literally slept in my makeup last night so that I could just get up and get on our show because I went to a charity boxing event last night. I took the gaze to boxing and it was awesome. But I was promised that there would be dinner there and an open bar. There was only an open bar and no dinner. So I had four drinks on basically an empty stomach. And I am paying the price for that this morning. So, yeah, thanks.
Speaker 7Well, when you go out, it is a pro move to have, I would say, two before you start, eating. That way you get both the most bang for your buck, even if it's an open bar. You know, you just if you're going to get a buzz, get it right. And then and then you layer the food on top of it. That way you can kind of coast the rest of the night. But you went for and then food. And I think maybe that's why you were eating quesadillas in the shower or whatever it is you
Speaker 8were doing. OK, I ate hot chicken in the shower on Tuesday night. Thank you. I ate a quesadilla.
Speaker 7I didn't realize that those stories were different. I thought that was all. I figured those were all
Speaker 8meshed together. I will say I am getting I'm a little bit back in my like I'm not drinking, drinking. Don't get me wrong, but I am having like two or three drinks like once a week now. I don't know why, but I just have been very socially drinking lately. But I have gotten really good at ordering my delivery at the perfect time for it to beat me home from the subway. So I literally have been doing this thing where I'm my food is like pulling up the second I'm walking up from the train. And I'm just like, yep, thanks. And then I get my bed and I eat my food and me and the dog pass out.
Speaker 7Well, hey, the bets might not be hitting the way that we want them to, but at least we're doing something right on this podcast.
Speaker 8At least I mean, hot chicken in the shower, bitch.
Speaker 7Smooth transition over to Evan Abrams. Our stats hound. The floor is yours. Two minute trends. What you got?
Speaker 9What's up, guys and gals? My favorite thing from this week is pretty simple. I have a bunch of stuff, but this one to me and I've used this I'm just going to keep saying it because it's ridiculous. So the Giants and Saints game is the reason why you just have to stay away is just based off records and lines. So Giants three, one and one straight up Saints, one and four New Orleans, a slight road favorite. As you guys mentioned in the Super Bowl era, we've never seen a team with a 75 plus one percentage closed as a home underdog. And there's six game or later versus a team with a win percentage of 33% or less. So just based off of record and the current situation, the Giants are in with a backup quarterback. We would just never have seen this line. If the Saints do closes road favorites. But to me, this is an absolute the the the people setting the lines, all the books, all the models have no idea, which is why the line kind of sits where it is.
Speaker 7So that one is I really hope that doesn't end up in the contest.
Speaker 9In terms of just league trends, you guys have talked about this a little bit. But I think the one that's interesting is this year teams with a rest advantage have done really well 13 and five straight up 13, four and one against a spread tied for the second best mark ATS last 30 years. So teams with a rest spot, looking good. So far, I thought that's intriguing. We've talked about backups, nine, five and one straight up 10 and five against the number. Now those are just backup quarterbacks based off of my model, which is quarterback comes in for a quarterback that the coach does not want to start. So like Jameis start would be starting or like Huntley Lamar situation, Jalen Daniels over Baker, like all sorts of easy things like that.
Speaker 7Not the, not the, the, not the player who started week one. I feel like in hindsight, that was, that was overused by folks in the content space. It was like, this is the record of quarterbacks that weren't the week one starter. It's like, yeah, well, one of the week one starters was Cooper rush.
Speaker 9Let's not use that to be fair, ESPN insights and ESPN, like tried to make a story well done. Great job. It came from them, but it's still amazing. Like the quarterback seems to be doing well and holding their own. I think it also kind of depends on the backup that comes in. Like Huntley is very used to the system, et cetera. Anything else on your
Speaker 7guys' mind? Well, we've got some pretty gross dogs this week. The chargers technically have not covered a spread yet. Is that right? I believe. Yeah. Is there any sort of historical significance? And I usually like backing the chargers. Is underdogs against the chiefs. It's something I've been doing for years. Justin Herbert played well. This is not the same chargers team. This, they might have the same logo and the same quarterback, but it just feels different. But I don't know if you can walk me into anything with your trends. Yeah.
Speaker 9I mean, I can look at teams who don't have a cover entering week six. They're mostly like 55, 56% long-term. So they are good bets in this spot, especially when you're going over like key numbers, you're basically at, will the chargers, keep this a one possession game. Uh, Herbert, the numbers are great, but again, this is a different team, uh, eight, two and one against the spread versus the chiefs seven, two. one against my homes and that's all because every time they face them most of the numbers are inflated uh it's just it's a different team now i chicken in the shower i do not eat chicken in the shower i do not eat in the shower i i i have slept in the shower that was in college passed out literally standing up but i will not it will not be eating in the shower that's like kramer that's
Speaker 8you guys are crazy i was gonna say evan i did appreciate how my gut check of two touchdown scorers made it into the primer this week that made my week i giggled and kicked my feet a little
Speaker 9bit fantastic anything that someone comes up with that makes me look at something and it's like a record or whatever of course it's going

Speaker 10on the pro football doc sports injury central podcast sunday night and monday morning or midday east coast time i said pennix is the most likely play caleb is likely to play both and they play each other they're both positioned to play and lamar not so much he's last of the three uh he's in the questionable at best category look caleb's been full practice michael pennix is hinting he's gonna play yes he didn't finish the game but it really was more muscle spasm than rib fracture or cartilage injury so pennix versus caleb williams that will be good to go brown's game facing the ravens is the one that's up in the air look i am a fan of lamar what he does is unbelievable this is why i call him and we missed last week my bad last week i was saying he's an f1 race car he's an indie car he's unbelievable and what he can do in his high performance and to that end as an f1 car a little finicky he's got to be running it closer to 100 he's not f1 pickup truck or humvee josh allen had a great rushing game this thursday but last thursday but before that he had the injured knee leg had five carries four yards still played right lamar needs his history is he needs to be closer 100 to play that's not a bad thing jesse minter said post game that he could have finished week four but didn't but then missed week five right ian rapaport said he could play week five or it could be a couple of weeks so there's always this happened last year too and in the past with lamar this is not a knock on lamar this is observation of patterns and uh far be it for me as a non-football player to say when someone is healthy enough to go he can play from the pocket he won't be fully mobile does he play or not play that's going to be up to lamar and the team
Speaker 7what about caleb williams is far as his mobility is is that a question mark with his hamstring injury
Speaker 10you know i saw his pre-game workout last week which is why i said okay he's good to go i don't think the injury is going to be a question mark i believe they play in atlanta so even if the roof is open it's a controlled environment not the slippery soldier field where he got the hamstring injury but i would imagine the bears will be more careful ben johnson in terms of not putting him in have to run situations to because you don't want to set back or aggravation but he should be good to go the game plan may be slightly different this game just to protect him a little bit but he should be good to
Speaker 8go the patriots have certainly been getting the short end of the injury stick after remaining pretty healthy last year aj brown's supposed to come back this week but my bigger question is will campbell and his injury what can you tell us
Speaker 10about that will campbell by video has a right knee mcl sprain non-surgical but a sprain is a tear it is the same knee that caused him problems last year similar injury and you know people talked about the short arms but it may have been the knee last year that caused the swoon in his performance late season and into the super bowl and uh with that in mind i think the patriots and will campbell are going to be rightfully careful before he returns this time
Speaker 8let's talk about the eagles as well they're also one of the most injured teams in the nfl right now they're taking on a carolina panthers team i'm sure we're going to have a lot of discourse in our show today about this matchup what do you think about their injuries as a whole because i know that you love to kind of look at units before you go into games what can you tell us about their defense and their offense before this matchup
Speaker 10well coming into the season the carolina panthers were the most injured team in the nfl with their o-line issues they've gotten a little bit healthier and have surpassed them along with the washington commanders the only bright spot for the eagles is dallas goddard is back otherwise you still have devonta smith out hollywood brown out the o-line issues some of them aren't injury but we call absence essentially injury right it's availability is what injury is and so when you add in the injuries they have to lander dickerson the trade cam jurgens slash concussion he wasn't playing last week anyways in london and lane since retirement and then i would argue that the top four running backs for the eagles have injury issues or are out saquon barkley hamstring still likely out tank bigsby ir with core muscle will shipley with plantar fascia injury and jaylen hurts with the calf yes he's a quarterback jaylen hurts look at his stats last week uh close game loss two carries two yards and really didn't tush what does that tell you
Speaker 8that's a really good shout by you doc the other thing i want to talk about really quickly before i know kravitz has some more specific questions for some other matchups we i think are all in agreement that this houston texans game is going against jacksonville and london is going to be the biggest game of their season for them so far their defense pretty much scattered on the injury report obviously the jacksonville jaguars have some massive injuries to their offensive line and they're going to be the biggest game of their season for them so far anton harrison goes on ir do you expect them to be able to get after trevor lawrence i mean they have not been very good at protecting him throughout this season so far do you expect houston to be able to capitalize on the shuffle that the jaguars are playing on that line yeah
Speaker 10one of the things we do at sports injury central sic score.com is not only look at injuries but we look at matchups as well i mean norv turner helps us produce some of these things as well as some of the other matchups and and uh we also look at war wins against replacement type of baseball stat you know is it a quality left tackle that's coming in or or not or is there a shuffle along the line where the right tackle flips over and as we look at this this is a a matchup where houston hasn't gotten a lot of pub this year because they finally won their first game but if you look at the stats and performance will anderson is probably a defensive mvp candidate will anderson for the texans against a new texans team and they're going to be a big matchup for them so i think it's going to be a tackle here so they're they're there's something to this uh matchup advantage to houston and yes they traded for marvin harrison jr you know they're talking them up how much they're going to use them not sure but the bottom line is nico collins is the difference maker and you know obviously with him back they've been much more productive yes david montgomery is out with his groin it'll be woody marks running the
Speaker 7ball so you diagnosed injuries you uh you've grades for all of it i'm curious how you handle illness because the saints last week we found out before the game that the entire team most of the team in the locker room is under the weather you're not a general practice doctor but do you use that in your analysis if a team isn't feeling well and and if so how do you even begin to grade the sort of impact that that might have on a football game
Speaker 10great question uh to be precise because you guys are always very precise i never diagnose anyone, because diagnosis would imply that I'm their doctor and I've examined the patient. I do injury analysis. You know, Will Campbell has an MCL by analysis. I haven't examined Will Campbell, for example, or Lamar Jackson, for that matter. So it's analysis, yes, from afar, video and assorted information. The illness stuff, the answer to you is it depends. Look, and look, if they announce an illness on Friday, you know, depends on what it is and whatever. It may not make a difference. I mean, how often have you been sick on Friday and fine by Sunday, right? And the team doctors travel with them. There's IVs, all sorts of medications. Sunday morning outbreaks, more spread out through the team, clustered through certain positions. We start to put more importance on. Weather. Weather. Weather. If there's dehydration. So there's just so many things that it's like it's almost more variable than saying this guy has a high ankle sprain. How long will he be out? What's the severity of the high ankle sprain? What position does he play? What type of player is he? The same thing for illnesses. What type of illness? What are the symptoms? How far widespread is it? When is it being reported? What's the source material? So the analysis isn't as simple as, oh, I heard a report that the Saints are injured. Or, or ill, then we should go against the Saints blindly. I think there's a deeper analysis that we perform.
Speaker 7For sure. And I don't think you ever want to, shouldn't do anything in the betting world blindly. But I do. I always wonder that. Am I supposed to care if Chris Olave is sneezing? Is he throwing up in a bucket? When I see illness, that's a, it covers such a wide ground that I, that's got to be really tough because when you hear that and you want to factor that in to your analysis, you don't know. You don't know what the illness is.
Speaker 10So yeah, I mean, in some ways, illness is, is, is betting 40 hours ahead of time based on weather, right? You never know what ultimately it's going to bring. You got to do a little deeper dive.
Speaker 7What about Ashton Gentry? It seems to me from my novice eye, like the foot injury is holding him back. I mean, maybe the guy's a bust. There could be that as well, but he just doesn't seem like he has the same spring in his step. Does his foot injury, is his injury, the type of injury that could diminish his performance?
Speaker 10Absolutely. Foot, ankle, knee. Those are the moneymakers for running backs, right? And shoulder out, you can try and play through, but yes, it absolutely could be hindering him. I love his attitude. He's lobbying to stay in and play. There seems to be a word that the Raiders are saying, let's try and get him right for the longterm. But I love his attitude of the want to play. So will he play? Won't he play? How many touches and carries? That's a Clint Kubiak question decision. He is available to play. What his usage will be and how effective remains in question. We have him as with a six score in the eighties, meaning that he can perform, but you know, at, at a lower rate.
Speaker 8Last question from me before the season started, everybody and their mom had circled this Cowboys Packers game in primetime because of Micah Parsons and everyone was under the impression that he would be good to go. By now, what is going on with this recovery? Is this normal? Is it crazy for us to feel like, why the hell isn't he playing in this game? Potentially what's going on with him?
Speaker 10I can definitely say it wasn't everyone. Cause there was at least one person that said it was going to be mid season at best. And, uh, from our, even our preseason energy preview. And then Micah even started seeing signaling that a little bit, you know, and then there were reports this week. He was going to open up the practice window, which I thought was early. And then that got walked back, right? It's always been a November timeline, you know, TV stories and timelines, you know, they're great stories, but does it really, you know, schedule makers and the whole thing, it doesn't always work out. Remember just recently, all the hype about Monday night football, Atlanta, new Orleans, 20 year reunion, Katrina rematch, and the emotions and everything else and the big play. And then it ended up being the Bijon. Robinson's game and Bijon Robinson story. Right. And, and none of that Katrina pregame stuff mattered at all. So there's TV stuff and there's reality. I don't think it was ever reality that Parsons was going to play in this game.
Speaker 7I love the analysis. And that right there is something everyone who's listening to this or watching this needs to understand the difference between the stories that you hear on the pregame show and the reality of betting these sports. There is a gap there. And we like chatting with you. Dr. Chow, cause you help us close that gap for more info, actionable injury insights and performance projections. Speaker 7let's welcome in this week's guest picker john yastrzemski the mayor of new york city are you guys over the sting of getting bounced by the rays up there i i would assume there's some sick pleasure in seeing the dodgers struggle from afar as well
Speaker 17well that is accurate i couldn't deal with the idea of the dodgers being the first team to three pete since the uh loves of my life the 90s new york yankees with cheater bernie o'neill i mean i could go on and on but as far as the sting is concerned from the yankees losing a race guys i was at yankee stadium i saw them lose on wednesday night it was like over it then it's like okay if we're gonna keep doing the same thing year after year it's very very difficult to have like this sort of anger and sort of like lingering feeling going into days upon days so paul for the course yankees losing the playoffs do you think
Speaker 8that you guys would be more pissed one do you think that's good that is a very
Speaker 17good question can't you answer has to be yes it probably would be more pissed but i think they're like totally unrelated because i think the yankee failures of like the last decade they're kind of like in a on an island by themselves like they just are like new york's been a little sneak bit after the nick championship like losing judge losing dart those have been major major bummers but like no i think the yankee fan looks in it's like yeah thank god for the knicks but at the same time it's like we keep doing the same thing year after year nothing changes so we can't really be getting ourselves too worked up and promise me next year they won't make changes we'll be having the exact same conversation next year mark my words
Speaker 7so you've been on in a couple of weeks uh do you want to give us a quick state of the union on on how your nfl betting is going over the last couple of weeks have you been up down how are you feeling going into week six you know
Speaker 17it's funny you mentioned that brandon because i didn't join you guys last week i felt amazing about the card and then i would say it treated me pretty well new england was a really strong play pittsburgh against indianapolis was a really strong play i feel like i got away with one with san francisco over seattle and unfortunately i was on the wrong end of that ramp bill game nice coaching sean mcveigh i mean my goodness settling for a 48 50 yard field goal with a kicker you can't count on absolute insanity here's the problem though gang you guys have me back this week we got to get in the lab we got to find winners that's our job no excuses play like a champion this card is super tough this week i don't know if you guys felt this way going into like your prep it is a very very difficult card
Speaker 8i agree with you we were kind of in our pre-show i went back and the games that i even kind of remotely was looking at i went and watched their games back last week and i didn't feel any better even doing the homework doing the research like i just this card is yucky way too sharp feel like i have one or two things that i like i think i only even have three bets booked in the app for the entire week so far and by now usually i'm done
Speaker 7yeah um i was slaughtered last week i'm sorry to hear that come on i need
Speaker 17to come back and give you some positivity here i'm rubbing some juju on you as we speak come on andrew
Speaker 7and emerson dragged me out of the mud we were three and two in the contest so let's press on let's see if we can find some winners this week just pick
Speaker 4something already if you don't like it you can just veto it thursday night
Speaker 7football seahawks broncos broncos catching two and a half at home total sitting at 40 and a half two and oh this season when the broncos are on the home field at mile high seattle's off that heartbreaker to the san francisco 49ers does seattle bounce back here or does another underdog take everybody's money in prime time
Speaker 8kendra i am really nervous about the seahawks injuries i think the broncos might get a little bit more right this week i don't think we don't think sir tan's gonna play this week right i'm very much yeah i don't think so i just seattle with the turnovers is what concerns me like is sam darnold turning back into the pumpkin that he was like that's that's kind of my concern here the broncos i know you were really high on them heading into this season kravitz and i know that they have kind of been up and down but this feels after how last week went for seattle i'm not really willing to put my money on them just because i'm concerned about the turnovers i really think that we might be watching sam darnold turn back into himself
Speaker 17i understand that concern kendra and the fact that this line is a very juicy tantalizing two and a half hey you're gonna say bro i'm gonna say
Speaker 8broncos at home aren't
Speaker 17you no i actually was gonna go the opposite i think the broncos have been incredibly incredibly fortunate to win these last couple of games if harbaugh wasn't a moron and for the way that game was going then this is why to me and listen i'm always team go for it right like i'm not one of these guys that's like oh you gotta kick you gotta take the points you gotta punt you gotta play field position i consider myself very new age that said denver offensively could not do a damn thing in that game last sunday you have to understand game script the decision to try to go for that fourth down in your own territory with the way that game was going i thought it was certifiably insane i thought it handed denver a cover and here's the problem i have with going with the broncos this week mike mcdonald is such a damn good head coach like he's the best defensive mind in my opinion in the nfl it's him and brian forrest take your pick you're telling me bo nicks is going to be able to do the bone x where he does nothing for two and a half quarters and is going to come alive against mike mcdonald's defense injuries or not i for one can't see it i've been i was on the broncos too preseason i had to win the division i'm they were a dark horse super bowl team for me with the way their offense is playing it is not sustainable that's why i don't think it's sustainable in this matchup i like seattle
Speaker 8are you not worried about the ability to run the ball because that's kind of my concern is that if sam darnold does look like that they cannot run the football it's fair
Speaker 17concern and that's why i think they're baiting you a little bit with this two and a half line i just this game seems gross though doesn't it rick of an under it definitely
Speaker 7does i mean that's a great way to look i have a horrendous history with betting totals in the nfl so i tend not to do that but bo nicks 14 and 6 against the spread at home in his career and he's going to be able to run the ball because that's kind of my concern is that he's going to be able to run the ball because that's kind of my concern so this is where so this is where so this is where you back nicks and you mentioned the the the you back nicks and you mentioned the the the you back nicks and you mentioned the the the comebacks comebacks comebacks with a lead i was looking at the the bow with a lead i was looking at the the bow with a lead i was looking at the the bow next stats when he has a lead next stats when he has a lead next stats when he has a lead 50 completion rate zero touchdowns this 50 completion rate zero touchdowns this 50 completion rate zero touchdowns this year when he's trailing year when he's trailing year when he's trailing 59 completion rate six touchdowns so 59 completion rate six touchdowns so 59 completion rate six touchdowns so even when you're behind with bow nicks even when you're behind with bow nicks even when you're behind with bow nicks as disgusting as it is as disgusting as it is as disgusting as it is you still feel pretty good and i agree you still feel pretty good and i agree you still feel pretty good and i agree with kendra seattle's inability to run with kendra seattle's inability to run with kendra seattle's inability to run the ball makes it so not only does bow the ball makes it so not only does bow the ball makes it so not only does bow nix have this propensity to come back nix have this propensity to come back nix have this propensity to come back it's hard to hold on to leads when you it's hard to hold on to leads when you you can't run the football effectively so even if seattle jumps out in front early i'm still gonna like the broncos i bet the broncos two and a half logged it in the app last night uh i am on denver here it's not strong enough to be one of my nominations but i do like the denver broncos
Speaker 8can i add two things here one seattle has the chiefs on deck i don't think that the broncos are someone you obviously can look past but they have a harder schedule ahead next week the broncos have the cardinals so they can put all of their energy into this game so i don't hate the look don't love it enough to put it in the contest but if i'm not mistaken evan also had in the primer underdogs during thursday night or i don't know if it was prime time or thursday night or also performing quite well if i'm not mistaken
Speaker 17prime time prime time the dogs have been insane what is it like 10 or 11 straight it's
Speaker 8crazy so i i think if we can't come to consensus somewhere else i would consider us having a longer conversation about this but where these two teams are at right now and where we're at in our contest i don't think i'm willing to do that this is a pass
Speaker 17for me uh one note on this game though gang you guys hit on the bronco team crabby isn't this a game you sit back wait for seattle go up 10 nothing and hammer the broncos i mean the books are sooner or later gonna catch up on this but i mean the broncos play the same game every week
Speaker 7i know i know i just my fear is this is gonna be the one game where the broncos actually score first and then i'm gonna be kicking myself so understandable yes that if that's your strategy but here's the thing and this is what i would remind anybody out there that walks in i think having a live betting strategy pre-game is the sharpest way to live bet but you have to be willing to stick to it which means if you're gonna do that and the broncos go down the field and rj harvey runs one in then you're out you're you can't you can't force you can't force a play after that so you have to be willing to stick with it um i'll take the broncos pre-game at plus two and a half we'll leave it off to the side we do have a great history when we've put thursday night games into the contest i'm pretty sure we're unbeaten we are something to consider oh okay good we are good even on the other side
Speaker 17of you guys i could be
Speaker 8it's only because kravitz is disgusting that's literally why
Speaker 17hey listen thursday night football now all of a sudden is a little bit more easy on the eyes you know amazon's got some better matchups now it's not like it used to be you know it's not like the classic jack titans from the old days i can't say that anymore because you enjoy did
Speaker 8you enjoy watching thursday night football the The other night, I mean, I guess it was fine, but it was not. it was shitty good football yeah we're
Speaker 7cashing we're cashing tickets i don't care what it is yeah i would have been
Speaker 8for that game in july a
Speaker 7reminder for those out there or for those that are new to the show we nominate five plays that we put into our draft kings contest so we will come to some form of consensus on five plays it's usually a struggle but i will nominate two kendra will nominate two jj gets our fifth and final choice uh and we have vetoes that we can use along the way uh question question for
Speaker 17you guys sorry to interrupt brandon what's the record
Speaker 7right now
Speaker 8not good it's not
Speaker 7great i i've um i i would i would have to defer to production on the overall record i've just been trying to turn around okay the
Speaker 17fact that we don't know offhand is all i need to know okay we had a
Speaker 7rough start but we have we have had a couple of winning we had a four in one week we've had a couple of three and two so it's not horrendous but um we have we'll have production double check that but yeah better than me in the
Speaker 17circuit contest right now talk about an annual donation my goodness we need
Speaker 7a five and oh win the war yes we know let's go to london the texans taking on the jacksonville jaguars houston back on track after a beatdown of the tennessee titans the jags parked in london kendra is that enough of an advantage to get us to the window we were sort of implying on monday's episode that we were going to be in on the houston texans so i'm curious where you are now
Speaker 8i unfortunately do think that this is a houston game i know quite well how the jaguars stay in london and usually like i went into last week that second game the last time they played back-to-backs there was the year they they opened with the chicago bears the bears beat the shit out of them two years ago and then they played the patriots and they beat the shit out of the patriots my fear is that their entire offensive line basically has an injury designation now and they are the second worst in the league at allowing pressure on the quarterback so i really don't think that this is a great week to back the jacksonville jaguars coming off of it a beyond emotional win with that defense and i know that houston is really really banged up i really understand that but i just if anybody can get after trevor divisional game i really think that jacksonville jaguars fans are kind of out on the london game i actually would like to pat myself on the back because i was a girl's girl this week and did not get on a fight on the internet because some eagles fan girl was like well yeah you guys might have won the game but where are all your fans girl we've been going there for 13 years we're over it we've been there done that it's special for you it's unique for you that's why you guys are going out there that's cute but i don't think jags fans are going to show up for that reason and i think houston fans will is because it's like shiny and new and it's like a vacation for them and jags fans just don't care anymore to go over there so that's another concern of mine is after hearing how loud the eagles crowd was last week but i really think that this is going to come down to the fact that all of the offensive line is injured and anton harrison goes on ir and the secondary pretty much all has an injury designation except for travis so i'm worried about jacksonville this week this very much feels like a houston get right spot in division
Speaker 17oh baby uh let's take it a step further sorry kendra houston's winning this game uh this is a team that's used to slow starts and the betting market kind of told you a week ago they see a turnaround for the texans because like you looked at the oh and four teams and their playoff odds like the chargers they were like 12 to one some along those lines houston and oh and four last week was it plus 250 something to make the playoffs which is insane because i want four teams plus 250 something that doesn't make sense the the books are kind of buying a market correction you you hit on beat up line houston defense they're starting to find their footing and strata's actually played well in a bunch of these games played well in the buffalo game no interception well in the cowboy game like cj strut was not the reason the houston texans were oh and four game means a little bit more to them a little bit more of a sense of desperation a little bit of a letdown for the jaguars i mean that's a game that pulled out of thin air for goodness sakes uh you know thank you nick sirianni i do not like jacksonville here in this spot i'm ready i'm ready i'm ready can i make houston a nomination because i'm willing to
Speaker 7don't even bother don't even bother wasting it because we have full consensus here so this doesn't need to be an official nomination from anybody save that because we all like the houston texans here you said that the game is a little bit more important to houston it's a lot more important to houston houston has the most at stake this weekend for any team in the nfl they have a 29.9 playoff probability swing based on if they lose or if they win if they lose this game their chance to make the postseason is 17 if they win their chance to make the postseason is 47 that is massive this is a playoff game for the houston texans and you add on all the injury concerns the long snapper they're like ordering long snappers off etsy what please the most penalized team in the nfl right now jacksonville
Speaker 8jaguars is don't even talk shit about him he's a pro bowler we
Speaker 7we were trying to be kumbaya on the houston texans and you still have to come out and swing for the
Speaker 8jags i'm gonna be fucking insufferable i'm gonna be running laps around this bitch i think you
Speaker 17should be listen it's the sort of game for jacksonville if they do find a way to win it's like holy smokes are they representing the afc in the super bowl like i think that's the conversation you're
Speaker 8having i will be like running into jumping into the pool outside
Speaker 7all right texans plus two and a half is in the contest officially let's move to the jets and the patriots both teams off of a win here the patriots seem like they're completely back on track they should get gonzo back this week aj brown back in the lineup potentially the patriots are rolling i kind of like the jets though kendra yeah
Speaker 8the jets i mean you guys i got a lot of crap at the beginning of the season for loving the jets this year and they've been covering they've been covering the spread it's in division what is it in the contest is it seven and a half i don't mind the touchdown but my fear is that the patriots are finally rolling they do have a lot of injury designations i should not get any say in what we do with this because i can't do anything with or against the patriots but aj brown from the press conferences that i have listened to with mike this week should be available will campbell big question mark i think that that's going to be the difference maker in this game i i don't know if he's going to play or not but he has been limited in practice but once again secondary also estimated but that doesn't matter when you're playing the
Speaker 17jets cravy i understand why you like the jets the lines move two points however do you know anything about the history with the jets and the patriots over the last 25 years like dude it's a bloodbath anytime the patriots see that jet uniform vrabel had the glimmer in his eye the way belichick used to have the glimmer in his eye like sticking it to and embarrassing the jets every which way imaginable and i had the jets last week it was not a pleasurable experience against the browns uh wins a win you take it any which way you can if the browns don't go and botch that punt i think cleveland wins the game gino smith can't move gonzalez comes back and locks down garrett wilson aj brown is probably going to play i don't see it man i don't like you want to tell me we're not getting in on the pads because hey like this line at seven and a half we're moving against the market here okay i'd sit this one out it's pats and pass for me there's just too much history for the jets in that building for me to say hey they're going to go and play a competitive game i gotta see it to believe
Speaker 7it i'm not going to be spooked by the brady belichick era okay we're what about the vrabel era last year
Speaker 17they're both games that were bloodbaths yes and
Speaker 7and maybe the trend continues but i'm not going to use brady belichick analysis here i respect it okay i'm not using that the jets are oh and six against the spread against the afc east since the start of last season so it's not just new england it's everybody that they struggle against not a strong enough play for me to slam my fist on the table of the nomination so we will just let it we'll just let it we're moving on i do like i was gonna say the jets
Speaker 8i don't dislike the jets because of how they've been covering but my question is i don't think that they do well on the road just from my limited memory of the season so far
Speaker 17well they beat tennessee who cares and they got smoked by bajan and the bears and detroit they actually performed offensively they came alive in the second half but you know when you play detroit you got to play some defense they play no defense so we shall see is their
Speaker 7defense good because that's going to be i mean right now they are top 16 in terms of success rate so i mean they're like right in the middle of the pack but drake may so this is one of the best games i've ever seen in my life i've ever seen in my life one of the things i was looking at is why has may been so good the last couple of weeks and he and he doesn't have aj brown travion henderson might miss this game as well i don't like that may has been great with a clean pocket both of the teams that he's played the last two weeks bottom seven in defensive success rate the raiders and the buffalo bills if he's clean he's good i just wonder if the jets are gonna be able to get
Speaker 8after him with will campbell not
Speaker 7playing yeah with running back issues not being able to lean on the run which is already an issue it's gonna become more of an issue with their arguably their best offensive linemen out that's how that's what has me the way of the jets but the history certainly tells you to go in a different direction i know
Speaker 8we need to move on quickly but can i just say the price for an aj brown anytime for a first week back from an injury at even money feels
Speaker 7disgusting yeah no not doing
Speaker 17that hard pass hard pass
Speaker 8let's
Speaker 7go to the ravens and the browns browns plus five and a half buying either side of this really comes down to what you think about the health of lamar jackson he has not been ruled in as of this discussion browns at home catching nearly six is quite appealing though especially if this ends up being tyler huntley kendra what do you think is it
Speaker 8five and a half in the contest it
Speaker 7is five and a half in the contest so we'll get five and a half no matter if we take it no matter which way this goes with lamar from
Speaker 8what i've heard it does feel like lamar is going to play which does not make me feel good about this if it were tyler huntley i would say that we should take the money and run at home but if lamar is going to play and trey hendrickson is back and quinshawn judkins is not practicing i don't want anything to do with this titus
Speaker 7howard their offensive tackle could be out for this game as well i think the line is indicating lamar at like 75 to 80 percent and i think this goes up to seven or at least six and a half if lamar plays and at that point i would love the browns but yeah it's not going to move in
Speaker 8the contest yeah they won't move in
Speaker 7the contest and that's where i i just i don't know that i can endorse that but john what do you think what do
Speaker 17you guys make of the todd munkin factor remember todd munkin the old coordinator of the baltimore ravens i know john harbaugh is no longer the head coach but you're still talking about either lamar or huntley had derrick henry don't we maybe think hey a little insider trading insider info for the browns listen the browns offensively looked disgusting last week against the jets now is a bad weather game you might want to put some stock in that the problem is we're probably not getting the best of the number to kendra's point if lamar jackson plays here but it's browns who pass for me don't love the game not one of my favorites of the week browns who passes to play
Speaker 8can i also highlight that denzel boston and casey concepcion were both limited in practice this week so that's a problem for the question mark that is deshaun watson in the first place and having your weapons injured and you're running the game you're not going to be able to win the game you're not running back injured no can't do it yeah
Speaker 7uh the the the case for the browns is that they're at home house of horrors for opposing teams especially as home dogs against the afc north the browns have covered six straight wow since the middle of the 2024 season and that's what sanders or
Speaker 17freaking dylan gabriel playing quarterback for you and a lot of those
Speaker 7matchups doesn't matter they just cover at home so it is to me it's browns or nothing we'll leave it at nothing for right now very curious to see how you guys feel about this one because i've kind of oscillated throughout the week steelers bucks in tampa tampa's plus two and a half it is two and a half in the contest but how about this the the you talk about the history of the jets and the patriots much more well documented than the history of the bucks and the steelers but the bucks are two and ten all time against the pittsburgh steelers the worst win percentage against any opponent in the tampa bay buccaneers history they have not performed well against this organization for whatever reason uh but do we back jalen daniels for a second consecutive week kendra do we
Speaker 8think that they're also kind of in the club of coming off of too emotional of a win because i almost do did you guys see todd bowles drop to his knees at the end of that game on the field like he knew that if he
Speaker 7no no no no that was he got hit with a helmet that was not a that was not an emote that was not a emotional now yeah he got hit so he got hit in the stomach and that's why he he didn't drop because he was he was like oh my god what a fun no it wasn't a hallelujah oh my god no suffering yeah
Speaker 8and i like heard like the choir music like coming through one of the players was running off the
Speaker 7field celebrating he got he got clocked in the stomach with a helmet but i do agree with the point though is that i don't trust todd bowles off of a win and i lean the way of the steelers i don't
Speaker 8trust aaron rogers either though like yeah i just uh and
Speaker 17guys this is an icky icky spot for the steelers this is a game other than the history of the steel or buccaneer rivalry if you want to call it that brandon yeah i mean that was more of a more of a fun anecdote not
Speaker 7a not a reason to take
Speaker 17either side i know i know i know i'm uh you guys all been working with me for a couple weeks so maybe didn't pick up on the sarcasm it's okay um i like taking the steelers when the dogs i like taking the steelers when they're at home the steelers laying a small number on the road like this is as ratty as it gets that said to kendra's point the buccaneers just had their win their season saving win against the cowboys gets him back in the lowly nfc south it would be rather on brand for them to go and lay an absolute stinker guys it still is a pass though like they're the better team they're better coached rogers to his credit is the best team in the played well this year there's no way in the world i'm backing the bucks in this spot it's steelers or nothing for me
Speaker 8let me give you an injury update rico dowdle was limited cameron hayward didn't practice jaylen ramsey didn't practice tj watt was limited chris godwin didn't practice winfield didn't practice werf's was a full participant though does that change your mind about any of that because for the steelers it makes me feel a little
Speaker 17well when tj watt doesn't play their defense is not the same you don't know that has to
Speaker 7play he's gonna play 13 pressures on the season four and a half minutes and a half minutes and a half minutes and a half minutes sacks he is going to be a problem for jalen daniels he alone presents an issue for an undrafted rookie quarterback that the cowboys just simply didn't offer i think they'll actually have a defensive game plan which the cowboys clearly did not going into that game on thursday night daniels looked so good so composed but the steelers are going to be their defense hasn't been great this year but they're going to be able to rattle him in ways that the cowboys weren't now the bucks defense has been really good fifth and success rate this year second against the bucks defense has been really good i think the steelers have an advantage though is that they don't need to run the football to have success with their running backs jalen warren has been the second best receiving back in the nfl behind jameer gibbs this year and i think that that styles clash plus todd bowles off of a win them being able to get jalen warren loose in the short passing game will keep rogers on time and on schedule i just think this is too much for tampa bay so
Speaker 17this makes of a low-key maybe nomination for the steelers yeah i think that's a good thing i think that's a good thing i think that's a good
Speaker 8thing i would go steelers i would go steelers i would do i would do that just because i hate this card so much i feel like you easily be convinced
Speaker 17i would have fought back if it were the buccaneers and you guys were trying to make that case uh okay
Speaker 7that one that one is in for now but if somehow we land on four others that we love more we'll pop it out but right now we got the texans too we have yeah right we have the texans plus two and a half we have the steelers minus two and a half let's move to the titans and the colts colts minus two and a half let's move to the texans minus seven it's six and a half in the contest i have very little interest in this game the titans offense has struggled all year cam ward appears to be regressing and the colts are laying seven points i mean no thank you on on either quite frankly if we got
Speaker 8a little luckier and pulled a seven and a half in the contest i would probably take a bite of the titans but i also want nothing to do with a six and a half especially the way that the colts played last season i think that was a great spot for them against a bad team i know that the division is you know kind of shrinking for them but this just is ass football on ass football i do have the titans to cover but i don't like personally but i don't want to put it in the contest because i don't feel great about it i forgot to mention uh i do have trevor lawrence's over 12 and a half russian yards when we were talking about that for anybody who would like to tell
Speaker 17how many teasers and parlays are gonna have the colts they're just gonna throw them in all of them every single one of them which leads me to believe we should be on the tennessee titans here now this
Speaker 7is a this is a survivor contest play for the lucky few that still remain
Speaker 17still in it uh my mom and dad i wish i could say the same thank you mom and dad are still in it they're in a pool like 250 people i i don't even know what their science has been but i i feel like whatever their two money line parlays are or their money line picks are i should just be parlaying them every week and just seeing how long i can take this but
Speaker 7i think we're bringing the young the wrong justremsky
Speaker 17under the show oh my mother would uh love to come on i don't know what analysis you'd be getting but you never know um guys i can't wait seven or seven and a half points with the colts i know cam ward has been atrocious i know robert sall is one of the worst coaches in the league i know tennessee can't block and they're a hot mess you want to go and lay seven or seven and a half with this cold team that's been very underwhelming on defense daniel jones doesn't know how to have the same mobility they kicked a zillion field goals against the steelers not not laying margin it's a stay away again it speaks to the gross factor of the card titans are passed but i'd prefer not to put this in our place yes
Speaker 7i'm okay i am comfortable well and that comfortable is probably a stretch but i would i would be able to at least rubber stamp the idea of titans plus seven if you if somebody out there wanted to bet it you cannot lay seven points with the colts that's a dumb idea - If we can't get consensus somewhere else.
Speaker 8but i don't think that no
Speaker 7and we're not getting seven in the contest now jonathan taylor is minus 300 to score a touchdown which made me giggle speak about things that are going to be uh ending up in some parlays this week jonathan taylor to to pop one in let's move to the panthers and the eagles eagles are one and a half point dogs now they're one and a half point favorites in the contest so a little bit of a flip throughout the course of the week uh an nfl rarity we have a team coming off of an internet an international game in philadelphia taking on a team coming off of a bi-week this has only happened four times ever the team coming off of the international game is oh and four how do we not back bryce young and the carolina panthers i think it's very simple i think it's very simple
Speaker 17can i can i jump in here immediately yeah because bryce young is usually awful in these spots on the road absolutely you awful now i need to see what the eagle injury report looks like before i'm betting this game like is davante smith playing that to me is a huge part of the calculus what's saquon berkeley's deal carolina as good as they looked and they were good to us i think we had them two weeks ago when we when they played the lions we were all over
Speaker 8that carolina has made this podcast more money than probably any other team over the last two years yeah
Speaker 17but they're but here's the problem with them gang they're great to take when they're dogs they're great to take it home they're not so great to take when they go on the road i know everything about hey international game coming off a bye the line has flipped this fan the eagle defense against bryce young reeks of a problem here in this spot
Speaker 7it just does this defense has been underwhelming this year i just keep waiting for them to pop and they're not um and if the and if the panthers offense remains hot how can philadelphia keep up with with that putrid attack that they have now evan shared this 5 18 and 1 against the spread first half it's worse than i thought it was to be
Speaker 17honest with you guys i but don't you feel like this when you watch carolina and bryce young like they're so great taking at home and they're so great taking when you're getting points it's just not a team that's in the circle of trust now going late points on the road and the eagles need eagles didn't win here
Speaker 7but to be clear we are getting we are getting them as dogs so that that is part of the analysis here is that i think at plus one and a half now being able to lock that into the contest is worth a play kendra what do
Speaker 8you think let's put our thinking caps on here for a second the eagles what do we expect management wise for their injuries considering they play the cowboys on monday night football next week i think they probably go conservative here rest people think that they are playing the old carolina panthers and save bodies for monday night football against the cowboys but that is just my personal opinion i don't i i don't think that bryce young gets up in these spots i think that this is going to be too much those eagles fans are going to be rabid after last week so i don't love the spot for bryce young but i wonder just projecting the injury management for next week what that could look like yeah are the uh you have
Speaker 7the schedule in front of you are the panthers at home next week against the i'll pull it up right now the
Speaker 8panthers are at home against the bucks
Speaker 17wow that's impressive
Speaker 8country you got
Speaker 17that fast yeah okay um this is just not a carolina spot to me crabby it's not a carolina spot i i get
Speaker 7the the idea of now people like me and i'm like i'm not the panthers this is when we shouldn't back them i cannot overlook the extra prep against a team that's coming back from london that can't score points against an offense that's thriving right now and it's not fluky bryce young looks great and it's not just him making magic happen out of nothing ted mcmillan looks like he's a stud no doubt i mean he's uncoverable right now so i think that their their offensive success is very
Speaker 8real do we think that this is the type of game though iriani's probably coaching for his job like if you get blown out by the carolina panthers
Speaker 17we're leaning in that direction and here's what we got to figure out with the eagles there is going to come a point in the year if games like this continue and the losses pile up they've won so many games over the last four or five years where like you kind of come to a point where like the guys in that locker room are like you know what it's just it's not our year kind of like what we saw with kansas city last year when they lost a bunch of course games they kept getting overvalued by the market because hey it's kansas city it's patrick mahomes they're gonna find a way and then they don't maybe philadelphia is that team this year but i'm just not ready yet to buy in on that this is let's put it this way gang this is a show me game for carolina carolina wants to show me hey like we're not just going to be kings of a woeful nfc south and we actually can be a factor here let me go see it on the road so the eagles
Speaker 7have not been good at the game good bounce back candidates since the start of last year eagles have played two games directly after blowing a halftime lead of seven plus points in their previous game the eagles lost both games outright scoring under 20 points each and that does not sound like a trend plucked out of thin air by our good friend evan abrams that is very on brand with what we've seen this is eagles team is a front runner in terms of when they have success they build off of it and then when the vibes are bad they're really bad and they it is ugly in philadelphia right
Speaker 8now i won't veto you if that's what you want but i will say i don't think the panthers have had a prove it game yet so far this season they did beat the lions but the lions cannot play defense and that was a
Speaker 17prime time game at home kendra totally different spot they
Speaker 8did lose to the browns which is crazy they beat the shit out of the falcons who did not have an identity at the time and they lost to the bears so if you're only game was against a lions defense that hasn't really been able to do shit all year i will buy into bryce young long term after this i still love the value that we got on our mvp bet but i do agree that this is the prove it moment
Speaker 7i'm not going to use this as my official nomination i'm glad
Speaker 17crabby because the veto was coming out if
Speaker 7you did yeah i i kind of felt it and i cannot have i i can't have one of the uh one of my other picks vetoed so i'm next touche maybe you know what maybe i should have made i should have made you i should have made you waste it now i'm not i'm not using game theory let's move on i wasted an opportunity right there saints at giants giants plus one and a half again a line flip it's minus one and a half in the contest the giants off of the ugliest finish known to man the saints have been horrendous the last couple of years of weeks chris alave is still sick who knows who else is dealing with the bugs still in the saints locker room this is a game where both sides feel like the wrong side to me they just both feel like terrible plays i could
Speaker 8not agree more i feel like the giants have gotten so i want to know what nick giffen's luck rankings are for freaking jamis winston and these giants let me tell you because i feel like it is time for the magic to kind of run out but the thing for me here about the saints and i don't want anything to do with this game don't get me wrong the saints play really bad at home i think that the saints play really bad in general i think that that's fair to say but they're worse at home so it almost is like relieving for me that they're getting away from the soup is it the superdome is that what it is yeah yeah it just how do you play so poorly in such an electric environment and i just i don't think that i'm ready to there were points last week and i know that the giants got that was like the luckiest game that they're gonna have all year long but there were points where i was sitting on my couch saying where the fuck is jj mccarthy and if you said that to me two weeks ago i would have probably been like there's no way that i would say that but here we are
Speaker 17well i was the opposite kendra i was losing my mind seeing jj mccarthy come in and run scat plays especially when jamis winston in the second half of the game as bad as he was in the first half second half he was like the maestro he was conducting a symphony because that's who he is this is why gang i'm throwing a nomination out there i'm on the saints you want to know why i'm on the saints this is not sustainable for the giants i know harbaugh's pulling games out of his rear end the cardinal game the titan game i don't know if it was a good tie or a bad tie that was the debate in new york all week explain to me how this new orleans team at one and four as lousy as rotten as they have looked at home against the vikings getting smoked by atlanta two weeks ago and they're not going to be able to win the game weeks ago is laying points in this spot i think the odds makers are on to something here this is not sustainable for jamis winston a jamis winston stinker is coming i want to be on the right side of this and i vow i am not taking the saints for at least a month if they don't go and cover this spread because i had them on sunday against the vikings i had them against the raiders a couple weeks ago they owe me they're gonna owe me right now are you not worried
Speaker 8about the injuries a
Speaker 17little bit but why are they favored in this game the giant explain this to me this line doesn't make
Speaker 8any sense the giants i will say do have a very very tough look ahead spot here which is another reason that i i don't have enough meat in the game this week to really like care that much but they have the texans next week and then the eagles on deck and then they play the commanders and the jaguars so this could be somewhere that they're like all right it's the saints like not gonna go all out to have this
Speaker 17game their owners already speaking out bashing the team saying how pathetic we've looked they're just so light a little fire come on saints let's go they're
Speaker 7so hurt a lot of that is illness related though and they dealt with the thick of that last week so they should be healthier at the least from what they were a week ago they burned me bad john that was part of the reason i had a horrendous week five was i had i was all in on the saints you and me both the fraudulent minnesota viking i feel so burned by them but i'm i'm comfortable with it and you get one that you can throw into the contest that we cannot veto this is it and i love a little clv we got the saints plus one and a half in the contest the line has flipped so i love that we all have the saints in there right now we've got three of our five texans plus two and a half steelers minus two and a half saints plus one and a half some tight spreads we are going i'm waiting on nominations
Speaker 17from you two let's go here falcons
Speaker 7bears the falcons at home here the cap on this one starts with the quarter racks at Atlanta's Michael Penix dealing with a rib injury while Caleb Williams could potentially be returning from a three-game absence with a hurt hamstring i'm a little worried about mobility when it comes to Caleb Williams the falcons have been getting after the passer with a pretty high frequency Atlanta ranks top 10 in pressure rate in the NFL and Bijan Robinson should have a game against these Chicago Bears so and also for what it's worth we get the falcons plus three and a half if we put them in the contest and we get the falcons plus three and a half if we put them in the contest now we played this game last week where we went oh a nice contest number and still got burned against the Baltimore Ravens so Kendra what do we do with this one i this is
Speaker 8one of the games that i did a lot of research for and went back and watched games i just don't think that i am willing to play the quarterback guessing game for a bears falcons matchup i i i wanted to be on the bears but i i don't i don't want to play i don't want to play the quarterback guessing game i don't want to play that game i don't want to play that game quite frankly i think it's totally
Speaker 17understandable especially if you like Atlanta and all of a sudden i gotta see the Hawaiian lefty coming out of the bullpen and crap wasn't it refreshing on Sunday night maybe not for you guys because you had Atlanta i had Baltimore to actually be the beneficiary of some stupidity from my old pal Tua i mean Tua dude time to hit the golf course with your boy JJ it's time you're done the arm is shot it's pathetic like betting on Tua you get what you deserve we don't know if it's going to be Tua it is too much uncertainty right now hard pass on this game if i had to play it Chicago if i had to
Speaker 8agree agree both of
Speaker 7these injuries too are are the type of injuries that can pop back up very quickly so even if we get Penix versus Caleb Williams a hamstring and ribs i mean we've seen those re-aggravated how many times over the course of our football watching lives pass on that one let's go to the four o'clock so we got some time to make up here cardinals rams rams minus twelve and a half this is a ram smash spot they need this they need to win this game this team cannot fall to two and four now that doesn't help us as far as the points we have to lay here um so anyone want a double digit division dog in their portfolio this week this is another game i promise i have strong nominations they're all deep down the board here but yeah guys i can't get on board with you
Speaker 17with this game normally i like the cardinals in these spots kendra when they're getting like 11 or 12 points rams can't be messing around here like they can't be messing around now they could go and play a c game and win by 10 and then you go and cover the number but it's rams or pass for
Speaker 8me yeah rams or pass for me the cardinals just feel like they have kind of gone a little belly up with the trade and then having six starters not practicing two others limited in practice too many too many question marks and you know what the rams considering how inconsistent they've been they're relatively healthy they need this win i don't love that it's in division i think that that's why i don't want to get to the big number is specifically because it's in division i have the under in the game personally but i don't i don't love this game and if you have stronger nominations elsewhere i'll
Speaker 7take them yep uh i do like the rams first quarter minus three and a half i think this is going to be ugly from the outset this rams team is desperate and aaron donald should eat against this offensive line let's move to the the chargers and the chiefs chiefs minus eight and a half total at 42 and a half chiefs off the buy we always love andy reid off of a buy taking on the lifeless listless la chargers the chargers have lost eight straight games on the money line dating back to last season this team simply cannot be trusted with your funds i have lost an undesirable amount of money betting on the chargers stop betting on crabby stop betting them can't do it i'm off they are they are if i had one team in bet prison it is the la chargers yeah and
Speaker 17that's why i'm so glad that you brought this up everything gang about my gambling instincts said last week the chargers are the right side in the game and you know what i said to myself i can't do it can't do it can't do it and when i watch horrible at the end of the game and i watch the fraud herbert throw the interceptions and i know they have a zillion injuries and i feel for my guy mcdaniel we wear the pants the same way we roll them up we look cool it's a mess we're not betting the charges here no way no how it's chiefs or pass
Speaker 8yeah chiefs off a buy can't can't get away from those statistics with andy reid evans like get
Speaker 17on the charges evan friends don't let friends bet the charges and i know they cover in this spot a lot against kansas city right crabby friends don't let friends bet the charge prove it prove it what
Speaker 8have you done for me lately i
Speaker 7can't do it can't do it okay let's go um let's go let's go let's go to the bills and the raiders plus i know what's
Speaker 8coming here and i'm gonna
Speaker 7hate it bills fresh off of an overtime win on raiders just got shellacked by the patriots it's time coming to an end nay my friends the bills are four and one they've had one dominant win the lions game beat down every other game for them has been smoke and mirrors they lost to the patriots they were out gained by the rams should have lost on a walk-off kick dropped interception against the texans the chargers couldn't capitalize on five turnovers against the buffalo bills give me the raiders every single day of the week official nomination i love
Speaker 17it this is going to be a nomination kentra for me as well but i figured we'd go in a different direction this is a tough spot for the bills you basically played five quarters of football another game out on the west coast raiders coming off embarrassment it doesn't matter to me are they going to be able to play defense i don't see it i think this is 35 31 and i just want those points they don't have to win they just got to cover raiders
Speaker 8i'm not going to fight you guys on it because i don't have anything better but i worry that kirk cousins is turning back into a pumpkin well happy
Speaker 7halloween let's get them in the contest moving on to the cowboys and the packers sunday night football i really wanted to see micah parsons back for this one doesn't look like that's gonna happen still a fascinating matchup cowboys 10 days to prep packers feel like they're back on track who do we like here kendra um i once again
Speaker 8this is one of the games that i did a lot of research about i went back and watched both watched both of these teams games last week i the only thing that i could maybe convince myself to get to the window on here is the cowboys team total i think it's like 26 and a half but that was the only thing that i found intriguing this is one of those games where it feels like it's become a weird rivalry because of the micah parsons trade and i worry about the cowboys in prime time that's truly the only thing that i hate here is watching the cowboys in prime time i feel like they always crap their pants so it'd be packers or nothing for me here i was very very much trying to convince myself to be on the packers i just can't gang
Speaker 17i kind of like the cowboys i kind of like the cowboys famous last words and you know you go back to the game they played last year remember that wacky tie on sunday night football dak and the dallas offense you know you go back to the game they played last year remember that wacky tie on sunday night had their way with the green bay defense and i know jordan love looked awesome last week they're getting watson involved uh they're getting matthew golden involved they're hitting the big plays down the field like in theory there should be a lot of points i also don't love the idea of a little bit of a letdown here for the packers that bear game meant so much to them after losing in the playoffs at the losing at the end of the regular season from a significant standpoint significantly significantly more important game for the cowboys there's far as the way i see it i know it's shoddy i know it's that hideous defense i know we're on the road i think that's lambo and there's gonna
Speaker 8be when it's not but
Speaker 17it's not lambo in like december and january you know it's like october lambo i could do with october lambo
Speaker 8it's it's october lambo that's fine but there's still gonna be 15 to 17 mile per hour win for a team that plays in a dome
Speaker 17that's playing plenty of cold weather it's playing plenty of cold weather games i'm against you yeah i
Speaker 7love the packers here they're one of my favorite bets this week take them on the money line i don't want to deal with one and a half Jordan loves starting to cook with this game being in Lambeau, the Packers at home Sunday night football since 2009, 14, four and one against the spread. They smash in these spots and Christian Watson looks unguardable right now. Duran bland has been getting smoked this season. The defensive back for the Cowboys quarterbacks have a one 27 passer rating when they throw at bland. So what the Packers were able to do last week against the bears rinse, recycle, repeat. They're facing a similar week. Secondary in the Dallas Cowboys at home in prime time as a short favorite, love the cheese heads this
Speaker 17week. 0 : Oh, crappy save, save the vague. Uh, we may have to talk after the show and negotiate an agreement.
Speaker 73 : I would, uh, I would be open to such endeavors. 0 : Outstanding. 3 : Let's do that.
Speaker 80 : All right. So we have our five.
Speaker 73 : Uh, so do we, as we get the Packers in there, is this first, this will be the first week.
Speaker 80 : No, we don't have the Packers. We have the Raiders and who, who'd you, well, we
Speaker 7don't have a Raiders.
Speaker 17We have the saints. Kendra, do you make a nomination? 3 : The Texans.
Speaker 8That was mine.
Speaker 170 : Wow. Taking sides literally against the family. I agree with it. Hold on. So we got Texans.
Speaker 83 : Steelers, saints, Raiders. Who was your nomination? 0 : Saints. 3 : Hmm. 0 : All right. 3 : This is the
Speaker 7first week ever that we have not used a veto. Nobody has. 0 : Nobody has been vetoed. So can I throw the, I want to throw the Panthers back in there at plus one and a half. 0 : Here's our conversation. Here's our conversation.
Speaker 8So we have to choose between Thursday night football, between the Seahawks and the Broncos, the Panthers or the Packers.
Speaker 173 : It's amazing. I'm against you on all of these, but because it's the one I'm the most adamant from a veto perspective is Carolina. Cause I don't trust them.
Speaker 80 : I think that that's the one that I'd be most likely to go with. 3 : Should we have? 0 : Not on a tie break. 3 : Hold on a second.
Speaker 17You like den, but you like
Speaker 8Denver. 0 : I don't know. I, I don't love Denver. 3 : I don't either.
Speaker 17I like Seattle, but okay. 0 : Time out, time out gang.
Speaker 7We got, we got the, we do have Monday night football, San Francisco minus seven and a half. Anybody before we just completely devolve into madness.
Speaker 173 : Isn't that such a stinky game this week? Like San Francisco coming off that Seattle game. Yeah. Nobody wants to back Washington after the lunacy of Dan Quinn and Jane Daniels, which is by the way, one of the dumbest sequences that I've ever seen in the history of watching football in my 38 years, I'm 38 years old to watch football probably for like 32, 33 years, give or take. I've never seen anything that stupid at the end of a game that said seven and a half team that's undefeated. That seems a little too good to be true.
Speaker 80 : Are we going commanders?
Speaker 173 : Nah, I like the, I like the 49ers in that game. 0 : It's been good to me too. So should we have
Speaker 8Evan choose? 3 : I'm cool with an Evan pick.
Speaker 70 : Okay. Evan, we, the Panthers have been vetoed. So we have the Broncos plus two and a half or the Packers. Let me at the Packers would be minus one and a half.
Speaker 9So those are the two choices, Denver and green bag.
Speaker 8Yeah, you, you can, you can, you can call an audible here, Evan.
Speaker 173 : Chargers. It's good. Evan likes the, uh, I know
Speaker 7Evan likes the jets this week, so I don't know if you want to sell this one.
Speaker 90 : I mean, I like all the garbage, Cleveland, the jets, Tampa bay, the chargers. I take the Raiders. Um, if you're making me pick those two games, I'd probably go with Denver.
Speaker 83 : What, what would your, what would your other pick be that we don't have
Speaker 90 : Probably the jets at seven and a half. Um, probably 3 : You guys like the jets.
Speaker 17I am more than fine with going with it. And then I could side text you guys all day.
Speaker 90 : I assume, I assume your Tampa bay numbers two and a half.
Speaker 83 : Fuck it.
Speaker 7The jets. 0 : Yeah, it is. All right. Fuck it. The jets. 3 : It's literally fuck it. The jets. 0 : All right. Our contest is set Texans plus two and a half Steelers minus two and a half saints plus one and a half Raiders plus five and a half. And then fuck it. The jets at plus seven and a half, John, your Stremski, the mayor of New York city. Thanks so much for hanging out with us today.
Speaker 173 : Anytime guys, let's go five and oh, let's go fuck it.
Speaker 7The jets. 0 : Fuck it. The jets. That'll do it for us this week on the favorites.
