The conversation begins with casual reminiscing about old jobs and personal stories, including a humorous account of visiting a boyfriend's unexpectedly artistic hometown and nostalgic affection for specific roadside diners. The dialogue then shifts to a critique of a TV show about JFK Jr. and Carolyn Bessette-Kennedy. The speakers find the male lead's portrayal lacking the charisma of the real JFK Jr., but praise the depiction of Carolyn, admiring her iconic, effortless style and confident demeanor. They analyze her complex public image and the intense pressures of her high-profile relationship. The discussion meanders through various tangents, including disliking daily grooming routines, the awkwardness of public perception, and the nuanced "art" of taking selfies. A personal anecdote about a relationship argument over eating lamb highlights the conversational, free-flowing nature of their exchange, which blends pop culture analysis with intimate, humorous personal reflections.
Hello ladies. Hello ladies. We were just talking reminiscing on our service service industry jobs of old. Yeah, of you. We got on. I was saying I went to my boyfriend's hometown and it expected it to be a absolute dump like the small towns in New Zealand and instead um there was like a James Torell and all this crazy art and like that's where he had his first kiss I was like this is so fucked up and yeah, I started talking about how I'd be taking him to the wild bean cafe as the art as the piece of art that you've been seeing in Hastings Kissing let's kiss under the wild bean cafe sign signage After eating a butter chicken pie. After eating a butter chicken pie. Nothing wrong with it. Nothing wrong with it I love like a petch. This is like our huge petrile station on the way from Perth to like All these little cute towns like throughout South Perth like Bustleton and Dunsborough, Margarita and it's just a ginormous petrile station with like a weird diner attached where you can get like weird fried chicken and like potato gems and like all this stuff and I love it Mmm yummy like a chocolate like a chocolate milk in a box Mmm, or just straight up Coke Yeah, I love a good. I love a good coke. I um Had a we went to this crazy ice cream shop And I had the most insane ice cream that you've ever like heard of they basically put it out on the counter and then Drizzle all this Nutella all over it and then put a cookie on top and then smashed the cookie in I'll like a stone like the Yeah ice cream Reese. I see I don't really fuck with that if I'm being totally honest It was special, but maybe feel really sick. Yeah, it's like too much. Mm-hmm. I like it in theory. Yeah. Yeah, I don't actually like ice cream I think I love ice cream. Ah Yeah, I love watching remember when I totally love watching many ice cream like Obama No, I don't remember that Like on a cone. Yeah. Yeah, that's very sweet Yeah, I just love seeing even bad men not like I like Trump more seeing a me ice cream just makes them look like vulnerable. Yeah, so it's so vulnerable But having a sweet treat. Yeah, I always met when I see like graph older men Yeah, like getting Ascritriate and like don't do that. I Know Of some self respect. I know I was like filling out it and he didn't know that like to be fair Like if he ever does post. Oh god Ron's just gonna bully me. I was just gonna say like if he ever does post a selfie It's like kind of fine, but then his friend was posting all these like insane selfies And I was like, you know that like men just shouldn't do this right and he was like what? Like does trap sexy selfies or like not self-aware in daring weird selfies I mean he's married What here's no business yet posting a self in the I know I think any man or see any man in a relationship should not post a selfie I don't think I've been segue to never post a selfie Yeah, I agree But that there's a certain type of like Jack Timbo, which is like obviously the JFK junior archetype in the show It's like beyond never my type, but like We're at somehow feels forgivable I think Marist Alfay is always forgivable not at the gym Yeah No I guy posting like a mirror out there. That's how I know I know I know I know I know I know I know I know I know I know from I was just trying to think about it as I said that The Marist Ofi has really kind of gone out of fashion True, can you think of one you've seen recently seen and liked? It's all about the candid picture taken by someone else. Oh, I Feel like I just can't take a selfie. So maybe I'm just jealous of these mean, but also Selfie that's the other thing that's kind of it key is like selfie taking is an art. So these men have Practiced you practiced I don't like to think about that Think about them practicing. Oh hello, this fucking cat He's so sister the moment. It's really cute. That's really where I go. He's on top of me pairing Should we talk about the JFK show? Yeah, I Like that we can just start with the obvious Question and move backwards from there, but would you boys would you bus like this actor and would you bus? his character in the show and Then would you bus at the actual JFK junior? Four levels. I don't even know who the who the hell this actor is. What's his name? I don't know his name either, but he's like a male model JFK junior actor Paul Kelly. I definitely wouldn't he does not look like a Paul Kelly. Are we sure? He does look like a Paul Anthony Kelly Paul at a mate the Anthony does kind of make a difference for some reason. Mm-hmm I love whenever you type in a man like this his name and it just goes like immediately Paul Anthony Kelly wife women are so horny I know he's 38. He's just curious Yeah, horny and curious No, I wouldn't bus this man Hmm I would maybe bus the character and I would bus JFK junior Um, yeah, yeah, you would bus sorry Paul Anthony Kelly or no. Oh, no agreed agreed Um, I would say no kind of to all three Maybe for the law, but like I can't if you got Carol and miss it Like I know it's like so obscene to say I would say notice someone that Carolyn Bessette said yes to you like I know I have no fucking business speaking that way but Every single thing about like the law of the candidates Here's like parlays into magazine publishing. He's like backward hat. He's like it's like hunky looks I know Jackie O is your mother and not like everything about it would just send me running for the hills He rides a bike, which is endearing Yeah, the but I think he seems like he was a very kind man. It's more just like I being pursued by the paparazzi at all hours um Is at absolutely hellish concept for me. Yeah same I couldn't even I wanted to take poly for a walk this morning. I was like cursing the fact that I live in such a public area Yeah, that like anyone could see you. Mm-hmm I think that's so often. I'm like I wish I could just I don't know no one cares Which is what makes this funnier but sometimes I'm like I wish I could just wear like a invisibility cloak Skull about my business Being like perceived by the world. I know Well, yeah this morning I was like I just don't even want to wash my fucking face Yeah to leave the house like poly for a walk like if I live down the wood is your most hated activity Why? I'm definitely washing my face. I hate brushing my teeth You okay. I hate shower honestly. I do it twice a day, but I hate it You're twice a day. Yeah, it's an indulgence Big exercise a lot. I actually haven't been exercising. I'm just kind of crazy I feel insane. I feel like I like don't even know who I am anymore. Do I tell you that I had a Did I wrote? Did I someone before like abusing me on the menu? So it on Spotify last week Can I call her member why like I call her member what I was complaining about but I don't check Yeah, no, I don't check either obviously, but someone posted it in the patreon chat and was like no one to the girls only want to Only want only care about patreon and someone was like is he you're gonna die Someone was like is he you're gonna die sad and alone. I was like I don't even know what I was like literally I was like I don't even know what I was literally like bitching about to do with my boyfriend But I was close No, but I was about to say something else about it. What was I gonna say? Um What are we what are we like just talking about oh the the showering The shower exercise you don't know who you are anymore. Oh, yeah, did I check so did I say lot maybe I said this last week about the lamb thing Don't tell you this but he ordered that he tried to order lamb No, you gotta say don't use a more ammo. Take it to patreon. They started crying Because you of your pet lamb could lamb Called Buckley and a buckley yeah, wait, we had a pet lamb called lamb someone else and I started crying and crying on the streets of New York And he was like I'm really sorry. I just like forgot for one a second that you don't eat lamb And I was like I was like the problem is I don't even know who I am anymore If you don't know if you don't know how much I love lambs Everyone fucking bitches You having like a JFK carol and beset style like domestic on the streets of New York with you screaming the words Buckley and Alex's face is like an image. I never say but yeah Um, but that came up so I haven't been exercising Okay, yeah, which is another sentral Call part of my identity that's gone out there Window because the day I was like I've decided to that I was like I've decided that like exercising is undignified And I'm just gonna walk a lot and he was like silent and I was like what and he was like I've just learned to not respond to these things you say I've been gonna fight. I don't actually care that much and I was like oh You just trying to start with a living Yeah, no, I genuinely meant it, but then he was I was like what do you mean? And he was like I just think it's like very good Feel like longevity to do strength training and I was like just say that he's like you five years ago would have Some house spun that into Of course is him yeah, yeah, so funny and that's true. That's true. He's not like being dax-shepid. That's true Yeah, I used to take like anything I'm like disagreed with as him as an affront on my character character yeah Yeah, yeah, we'll get into that with this other the cut piece, but I think that's such an interesting conversation Um Yeah, wait what it said what did you think of love story I've only seen the first like episode in a bit but I'm liking it I'm surprised by um I'm enjoying it more than I thought I would um I like it too. I think that No, she I think Sarah pigeon who I am so surprise she didn't change her name for a stage name Kind of endearing um, I think she does a really good job. I think she does a really good job at portraying Caroline um it made me like Get obsessed with her again Yeah, she did a really good job like my issue with Paul Anthony Kelly is that even though he's very handsome He doesn't have he has that like slightly vapid male model quality where you it doesn't capture The JFK thing like yes JFK was really handsome, but it was like the way people talk about him And you can tell from the images was he was someone who like walked into a room and like the entire magnetism of the room just like Re-shoffled around him and this guy just seems like a pot Guy, whereas she's capturing that like it factor. I think Yeah, you can see how a guy would just talk to her for five minutes and be like oh my god. I'm obsessed with her I know I also just can't believe I just can't believe her I can't believe she would just go to come and climb and and she had a Should a competition with the other girls in the office of who could not wash their hair the longest that is like the most fucking alpha female shit She just and she would be like Lord of the flies in this office You would have lasted a day and a half had a mental breakdown But and then I was also reading that um This girl said you know how the cut did that go issue ages ago They reposted the some of the carol numbers it stuff and um another person was just like every one of us was was Freaking out getting custom dresses made for the CFDA Awards and like Thinking about it for months and months and then she just rolled up in a black slip dress and some red lipstick I'm just looked amazing Looked a mate. It just had that thing. I think that's what I really loved about the first episode All the stuff I loved I loved I really just did not give a fuck about them dating. I was like just show me Carolyn at work So like in the minutia of the PR team of Calvin Klein in the 90s like where she was getting an at-bending dress for like the Bugsie premiere I was like give this make this the whole show Literally she has that like it factor That you would see in girls in fashion where they just have this like complete effortlessness and confidence in themselves and then not I mean obviously she was extremely beautiful But it actually kind of has nothing to do with being that beautiful. It's just yeah a a a thing Yeah, and in later episodes he just he like arrives to her messy apartment. She doesn't give a fuck I believe that really struck but this is why she's such a completely compelling historical figure. I'll marry on to that is because she's I genuinely believe she Disliked a lot of the things that came with dating him Yeah, I and I don't think she was this like social Climber that just did whatever to like nab him and marry him. I think that was why he was so obsessed with her But then the guy that she allegedly cheated on him with was like a hymbo male model So she's kind of confounding in that way because she seems like the kind of woman that would marry like A 58 year old financier or something Yeah, she just loved like a hot fucking guy No, it's so fun Yeah apparently Kate Moss lived in the In the same building as her like in the other in the like opposite apartment And they would throw parties all the time And apparently it's true. I don't know if you've gone to that point yet, but um Have you gone to the bit where Calvin Klein talks about Kate Moss And then she was like Did you hear that dig? He knows for well that I was the one that like That discovered her oh no, I mean Yeah, then I looked it up and she was the one that pushed Kate Moss for the first cover. Sorry not for the campaign for the first campaign. Yeah Crazy generation tower The fuck and then Yeah, it's just it's just like It's it's a Cinderella story Yeah, it really is and I was just thinking that to where like that opening scene where she's On the streets of New York and she's like all the newspapers have him everywhere like she was obviously well aware Of who he was when she met him as such a it's almost like a juvenile female fantasy like I don't know if you used to do this But I feel like I think all women did this like when I was like 13 I'd be like maybe I'll run into this like Orlando bloom when I'm on holiday and like There was fun. There's like being some really fun Um, you know how when you know how we Millennials would do those throwbacks where they're just like us At 60 and two minutes. Yeah, well like yeah, well just like even us at 16 and we're in like this dark dingy computer room like Yeah being so ugly But yeah, there's like a girl who did one wish it was like me thinking I was gonna meet I can't remember like Johnny dip at the fucking buffet Just like this like chubby like and track pants pimples And like a literal child Yeah No like I love that was me with a sht and kutcher that's her Like she lived that you know Yeah, and it's also crazy because shoot like he was dating a famous actress before her jailed this depiction of Darryl Hannah like I actually won't stand for it Oh god, I have to interview her this afternoon Darryl Hannah or drew you have no yeah, I love drew him away Okay, I don't know if we even need to cut it but I just needed to tell you that so I can't so you know that I can't say anything bad Oh, no, I love drew him away like I'm very very obsessed with her just personally and I um Think she's like so stunning and stylish and I don't think she even does a bad job in in this as Darryl Hannah I'm just like why oh why are they making have they written her character So monstrous I know I guess it's like because they just want to They just wanted to really quickly show that he had been with this person. I was is Also, yeah the way episode because she's she's met she has a lot going on in episode two or three Because episode one yeah, it's kind of more about them and then episode two it like shows their relationship um But yeah, she's just kind of like this annoying bohemian actress But I think it does do a good job of portraying the fact that like Sometimes you've been in a relationship for so long because they were together on and off for five or six years Right before he met right up until he started dating carolan and um People say that he like kind of ended it with her properly because he fell in love with carolan but It's like does a good job of showing that when you've been with someone for such a long time Sometimes you just try and stay with them because of that history And because of that comfort and it's kind of like them coming that together all the time But then it just never working because they're not meant to be together Yeah, and it's a bit like weighty Katie energy of like he was kind of the prince William of America So it was like It's almost embarrassed not like it isn't But I can see how you'd feel as a woman like We've just got to make this work because everyone's saying it's not going to So refuse Well, I think everyone was obsessed with them too in the press I actually she was she said that at one point She was just like This is everyone loves I think she kind of got that in her head too. She was like everyone loves this relationship like we need to make it work Yeah, he was like I love that random PR girl at Calvin Klein Naomi what's as Jackie O is like kind of Two camp like she's in another Ryan Murphy ecosystem, but I also just love it. She can stay and she can do no wrong in my eyes really I love it I wonder why she didn't like Darryl Hannah That's just a really really big thing that Jackie O just hated her I can see it. I feel like Jackie O was I think she would have hated Carolyn Bissett as well Like it's just kind of mummy mummy son Eater Piss Fibes Yeah, she cursed a woman ever She probably um yeah, I don't know. Maybe she would have like CBK I think the fashion is all Like the fashion and the sets and the things the hair it's still like all not quite right but It's it's kind of just okay. I don't find it like inspirational to watch The outfits like they just haven't quite nailed it still But it's not like the Trojus Yeah, the first outfit that I Scream shot yeah is I realized also there's only like four or five episodes of Darks last night I was trying to binge watch the whole thing and then it ended and I was like Jesus Christ um and then the first one is when she stayed at his or he said it she said at his house and then she had to go to work the next morning and she threw on his white shirt and tucked it into her pint her black pencil skirt I'm saying. I was like love Did you see the stuff that's like resurfaced on twitter about how um She was the Inspiration for Natasha in Sex in the city. Yeah, and how can this Bushnell Bushnell Used to date the male model that she was like seeing at the same time or just before JFK and so she That was like her digger digger Carlin Bessett and then it was so insane because Sarah Chilacapaca also dated JFK junior I forget she dated him. That's so iconic. So iconic. She's like lived a hundred lives. She's Absolutely goaded Wow. Yeah He loves dating the actresses huh? Yeah, he loves her Love loved an actress But I thought that was funny the idea because we think of I think we think of her as like very she can cool And the idea that she was just like a sort of beige, normy, wasp person is like in the way Natasha is Is not really the vibe No, like it's not the reputation she has now No, I don't think that's I mean, yeah, that's not the case. She literally lived opposite Kate Moss and threw parties all the time when was smoking nonstop Yeah, and didn't wash her here. Yes Those scenes like I know it's like not nice at the paparazzi how I know them took photos of them fighting But like they are such so essential to the law as well. Yeah, no, I love it. It's also like it's so New York um Like I was just thinking about it How everything happens out in the public in New York? It just feel it made them feel like such just normal people in the city Like a normal couple in the city And it's like you you can't go anywhere without Everything being in everyone's faces. Yeah Because you're always outside. So it's like you're always if you're fighting with someone you're fighting about the lamb But you walk home Like you know like you're like it's not everything's behind closed doors and LA Yeah, that's cool. I think it just was like made them feel so relatable Wasn't it one they like fighting over an engagement ring in Central Park Yeah, does she pull her ring off and throw it or am I imagining that? Really hope that's true. Oh my god, it's so iconic um Yeah, I think they did a good job of her here color At the in the first scene which showed them getting on the plane Yeah, I think it's the dirty blonde from earlier on which I know she did Yeah, but I just I'm like I don't think she would have left the house with her like that Like it's fine, but it's just not and even like the It's just like even in the Calvin Klein office. I know I'm being really Finneke but it's just it's it's just all like a bit wrong like you know They're trying to show that it's like clean minimal 90s So they've got like the marble desk and the bars, but I'm just like they wouldn't have that desk wouldn't have that bars Yeah, she flicks her hair too much as well. Yes. I like the deep voice. She's she's done. I know There is some footage of her speaking, but adds to the Whole thing Yeah, you'll ain't yet to get to the episode where J.F. K.J. and you comes home and Darryl Hannah's doing a hit stand and the living room All these people over Love and he's like so pissed off And he's like who out all these people? She was like you don't even just like you don't even try to get to know my friends She'd like just meet half of them. Love her Like I know Darryl I just thought like the full kill bill again recently. So I'm just like I'm not I'm just not in the mood for any Darryl Yeah, me too. What was she in kill bill? She's the eye patch woman who dresses as the nurse Oh my god, yes, I out and stomps on it and she's just like iconic. That's so good. I'm just looking at Sarah Pigeon's style on the press tour Because I haven't got an opportunity of a lifetime. Don't feel like she's completely nailed it. I'm gonna be totally honest But she seems like cool. Everything I see about her and see her interview. I like her a lot Yeah, I liked her and I know you did last summer Did you make? Ah, ah, that's right Yeah, it was good Yeah, she she has such a look like she could be such an it go Totally she's done a couple actually. She's not posting that much on her own account. She's got Emma Jade Morrison styling her Nina Parkman No one no one is it harder at work Well, you know who she should get um, you know that guy Nikki Bell who does the The video the video the really fast video text from the red carpet. Oh, yeah, oh, yeah, oh this disgusting love He does um mark ronson and he fucking kills it And then he also just started doing this other special actress who I don't even know He's cute. My grunts and looks so good lately. That's a big grunts and looks so good And I'm pretty sure he's nicky's fur nicky Campbell's first client and then now he's doing jace gamma Oh great. It's just yeah It also in love story Yes, so she's that's why he's a Assistant right this is married. That's you know, it's called stora. Oh Oh my god. Yeah And she plays his sister Caroline yes Caroline Um, okay, well he's killing it with her as well. Yeah, wow Yeah, they look so good. So they've all gone to the Calvin Klein show. So this is obviously Calvin Klein has like I'm sorry. I've lost track of who's designing it now, but they they've obviously staged a bit of a relaunch New York fashion meet to like align with this show and it was okay But grace gamma and marcon symbol there. So it's all making yeah look at the pro-inzer. I just sent you on What's happening? Come me But looking at my own comment from a week ago. Wow Like what When you just get in a silly mood on Instagram like why did I comment that? Wow, it is wow. I love it And then he has a podcast wow Code gloves off any um just said Charlie on it And he was going through her like almost ugly looks And he's just this is all fully from doing these TikToks. I think so yeah Amazing I know um Yeah such good styling yeah the Calvin Klein show was like okay. I wish it'd been better But I can see that it's ever is putting Sarah pigeon in Calvin Klein a few times and It definitely looks nice Like Kate I guess these are all brands that you would like expect Carlin to wear nowadays Yeah a bit of Chanel But it's a little literal for me You know where are you seeing all these looks? I'm on mj morrisons instagram. I'm like Oh yeah I mean the lipid prints quite cute. I like the leopard print a lot I don't like this vinyl coat And I don't mind the leather belted coat dress Wow she Stiles A lot of the girlies I do like that Chanel look a lot. Yeah The Chanel with the um What is that? The ruffles? With the feathers. Yeah, that's in the feathers. So good Her hair looks insanely at like out of control. She's got like a different hair color as it's filming the show where she plays Carlin visit Well, you know, hair is so crazy like when you think about it just how how Different the shades of blonde and can and prune it and everything can be it's it's like I don't even want to know Yeah, it's like a thing that I it's a thing that I like hadn't Realized until like kind of recently and I know this is something you've been across as a blonde girl But um, I don't even want to like know about it because it's so expensive once you start even looking at the different shades of prune it Really? Yeah, I see I don't see it. I can't think of a time in my life where I've looked at a brunette and thought it was like a bad Brunette, but I think it's just whatever color you have your maybe high for a tune to Yeah, there's so many bad shades of blonde Hmm Yeah, I think this Chanel look with the trousers is so good I don't know if Carolyn would wear it herself, but I think it's like a very good look That's what I think I think they should have like done a slight homage to it But not being so with the other ones they're like very sort of like literal referencing the mood board And I think it should she should have just used this opportunity to like prove herself a fashion star Yeah, you know Yeah, I think the hyperself referential thing has been and gone Cammy mean come what's her name Camilla Maron Yeah She hasn't been in a project for a minute. She's so heaven Beautiful face Um, should we talk about this the cut piece about husbands that hate their wives? Yes It's so crazy. I like find the piece itself really odd I like I understand the premise, but I find all the examples they used kind of crazy Like the one at the end where they were like where they were like this woman's husband Said he needed space and didn't contact her for six weeks And when she posted on on TikTok or whatever about it She said that the woman's responses saying that that Was fucked up and wasn't good enough prompted her to get a divorce Yeah, and I was like okay honey lift you six weeks ago Yeah, I get that I get that maybe like it's a toxic cycle Where he was maybe going to come back and try and make up with her but It's an interesting so yeah, it's this piece about like women that kind of make excuses for their husbands bad behavior or like try to laugh it off and how there's been this like rise in Women on TikTok telling kind of anecdotes about their husbands and then realizing based on the comments section that the behavior isn't okay I also about will just come out and say I don't believe those most of the time Like I do think there's a passive aggressive thing of like telling a story where you know that people are gonna be like your husbands and asshole um It's the way that like women communicate I think like The Greek chorus thing of like something happened at home. I didn't like it. I tried to argue with my partner He was like you're being sensitive then you it's just like a wider version of going out with your girlfriends and having wine and then being like No, that's fucked up. Then you come home and you're like hey, I want to argue about this again because all my friends told me I'm right, you know, yeah I think the I mean the DACShipid Kristen Bell Thing is quite interesting because basically Has all started when she came on his podcast with Kristen Bell and DACS and then Shares that that Kristen Bell was his better half and he was like I agree like who do you think she should end up with because she could definitely do better than me and then Kristen Bell's kind of laughing awkwardly and like sort of like deflecting and Acting like he's amazing to her but kind of like yeah every time I have listened to I think it I do think like part of this is just their Weird relationship dynamic. I think it's just the way their humor is There's definitely a feeling with them. I remember an interview that he did On his podcast. I can't remember who it was. It was like I haven't really listened to so many episodes But it was like a long time ago when it was kicking off. I listened to one and and Someone was saying oh god, Kristen's like so amazing When you guys got together because he was kind of a like random slightly mildly successful actor. I think when they married and she was like very famous and then obviously she went on to the whole Veronica Mars is that what it was called thing And then had the second wind with like frozen which I think was after they got married so on top of her being like University beloved getting for getting Sarah Marshall getting Sarah Marshall gosh. She's got that girl like On top of her being so well liked she's like, you know incredibly successful um and he kind of said something in that interview like Actually honestly when we got together um, I was like I need to decide if I actually really like this woman. I'm not sure if I like her Um, and he was kind of then it's like he does this sort of radical honesty thing I think where he just tries to say things In a way that like pierces the veil of celebrity couples being fake or it's just like willing to speak about himself in a way that doesn't India people to him and that's been part of his stick but like very often it comes across like he just low level as this low level passive aggression towards her and I think to avoid people recognize that from like other relationships They've seen in their lives where you like where you leave dinner with a couple and you're like oh Yeah, it sounds like he's just constantly putting it out because he's um insecure he isn't secure and I find it really all it's like that thing of like you know how some couples is that all So before I said I think part of it is their relationship dynamic where they've gotten into this kind of weird humor thing where He takes the piss out of her and she kind of takes the piss out of him or whatever Like not to say that any of his behavior is acceptable. I just think that that's like part of it But then I also feel like no one finds that Funny like it's like that thing where they think it's funny and you know how you've I feel like I've been in so many situations where couples will do that and you're just like everyone else just finds it really awkward Yes, when you like pay out your partner in front of us. Yes, no one finds it. Yeah, or like you know, they'll be like Oh, he always does that if you like drop something and you're like it's not it's just awkward Yeah, it's just awkward. It's like never like people just kind of laugh in it like way yeah, and I and I feel like it's always dax doing it to her. She's never really doing it to him and I think in in his defense like it's I think it's something that worked for a period of time and was like I wouldn't even say endearing but I think people Were kind of into it till they weren't I do feel like that Instagram post was a big turning point where she said It was their anniversary or something and she said happy like anniversary for the man who said I want to kill you all the time, but I never would or something and everyone was like that's no He said something like I would never murder you even though I'm highly incentivized to I never would yeah Yeah, yeah, and like that's just like it's a bizarre thing for someone to ever say to someone and then it's a bizarre thing to like I feel like We're all psycho analyzing them from afar and who actually knows but like it does feel like Her doing that is a version of what these women do on TikTok where they're kind of putting something out there that's I struggled to believe there wasn't some part of her brain maybe 20 layers down That thought he'd get backlash for that I don't know Because I don't like I don't know I don't feel like that was his parents other people make it out to me And I don't know if that's if I'm the problem But I'm just like he's literally just saying that so many men murder their husbands, but he like never ever would Men murder their wives and I'm like I feel like Murder there was ever but sorry. I'm sick today guys if I'm sounding incredibly stupid um Yeah But he's saying you never which I feel like we joke about it like that I think in like the full scheme of if you like unpacked the Most nefarious things happens in the marriages of everyone you know like that would just not rank in anyone's but I Yeah, it's it's it's difficult to say I think it's it like No one can know the inside of their Marriage but it obviously speaks to something even the way he said like To share I think Sharon Kristen Bella friends. So he was saying I know you're not you don't really like me And she says at some point well, I trust her so I'm assuming there's like something redeemable about you But I just haven't seen it oh my god. Yeah, she like really doesn't like him which I think is telling I haven't watched the whole interview but And him even him saying go on then who should she date? I've got some ideas like it gives this like quite ugly Like it is a low level aggression. It's kind of this like okay. Fuck this guy. Fuck this guy You want to fuck like it just felt kind of like an ugly way to talk about your wife and to put her on the spot in that way and Like you say Yeah, also she said that like one time they She was trying not to give me a fight. Oh no, she asked him to fold Tows once yeah, and he like went crazy. I didn't talk to her for three days Yeah, I do I think he's I think he's horrible. Yeah, those aren't like normal little anecdotes. I'm very conscious of things that you know If Zach said the worst thing I'd ever said in a fight I would not look particularly like you know like a saint Either so I'm always conscious in these things of like okay We're given this tiny little snippet and we're gonna base someone's whole like relationship offer But there is something in that dynamic that I think feels Like there's a reason it triggers a lot of women But also we've talked about him in the past when I remember like for a while there I would listen to his interviews in like 20 yeah 19 and 20 20 and he would Interview Natalie Portman and say like such weird shit to her About her being beautiful and about him having a crush on like I'm just like it's awkward and weird And I think it makes Natalie Portman uncomfortable Yeah, it makes everyone else uncomfortable like I don't I don't feel like he he understands At all how he's perceived which is really strange because it seems like his whole thing is like Pretending he does yeah, and it's funny as well because she is so absolutely essential to that whole enterprise like She's yeah like the legitimizing force that if he's ever like a bit weird or a bit often an interview She has so much good will that it's like carried him into this fear that he um Like I think he's a good interviewer, but he's he's like dominated these celebrity podcast charts, and I think a lot of it is to do with Her as this like silent character in the mix um So it is strange it's funny. I like loved that the writer and the the cut piece bought up bravo because the whole Up until that point I was like god, this is just so Bravo coated like women who go on this show and have a specific dynamic and either knowingly or unknowingly Suddenly see the entirety of the viewership being like what the actual fuck is wrong with you and suddenly like within a season or two they're divorced Yeah, um It's just weird how it happens. It's just weird how I think people just cop bad things in relationships early on and they like fester And then you very rarely have outside people seeing that dynamic at play You know it's strange with theirs because it feels like Yeah, I didn't watch the full share. I didn't like only saw a couple of clips It's kind of it's like kind of insane. I don't know. It's such a weird vibe to even have your friends your wife's friend who hates you come on the podcast and like having your having someone who's a close friend Really not like your partner is such a Such a telling sign little on like they obviously would have a lot of people it can't just be sheer Yeah, I think share saying that has like given people permission to feel like they can discuss in like this the cut s-que Something that people low-key felt watching it But I loved how throughout the piece it talked about how that friend that like disagreeable friend that says They don't like your partner and makes it like awkward for you at the time is the person when you leave You look back on it. I like thank you. Thank you because so many people I remember a friend of mine First time I met her I met her and her then boyfriend and I was like that guy So like I just like couldn't stand him thought she was so great And then the next time I saw her one-on-one I was like months later and I was like oh like how's it going and she said oh me and this guy broke up And I was like thank god because that guy sucked and she was like you know what since we've broken up like eight people have told me that and at the time not I had no clue That people felt that way and it was all similar things putting her down in public talking over her making weird passive aggressive comments about things like blah blah I think people feel like so uncomfortable saying it Because you all have to sit together and hang out or whatever like your friends always gonna go to her They're gonna be like my she said this and then you're like yeah, they have a they have a fight and immediately I think I actually did that with you once I talked I'd like to talk shit about my ex and grossed with like yeah, that's like not on I feel like she said yeah, and then you have to like sit with the materials you're forgiven So then you two like a little unit big like yeah, she's fucking crazy and then you're on that um No, but also the yeah the reason you don't want to is because you don't want to push them away You're like scared of yes your friend not confiding in you if you say that You know what I mean totally and it's just difficult like it is true that people have different dynamics and some people have like We had band-tree relationships that go both ways and they genuinely are okay with it And I think this idea that like men are always the nefarious actors and women are always these like sort of pushover victims is Not true and like a huge oversimplification and I think that like men don't talk to each other about this stuff So I think women are guilty of a lot of toxic behaviors that men just don't like Have this for can they don't sit and have dinner and all chat about oh 100% there's like the for every fucking DAC shippard There's a woman like belittling her partner and making him feel like an incompetent child Yeah, like in a horror scene that dynamic All the time we're so much more capable and so much Like more on it that it's hard not to honestly sometimes Depending on who you're dating But the other thing I will say just before I forget is that if you think you're in a If you have any inkling of feeling like maybe you're in a relationship that's not equal or in a relationship. We're like Something is a little off you should start my friend We were having like this big conversation I went to the cut the other day actually and I was in the office and all of us were just sitting around talking and we were talking about relationships and different dynamics And one girl said to another girl You do you journal and she was like no and she was like you should start journaling and like just writing down Whenever something like this happens Just write it down and like write down how you feel and how it made you feel and then just keep Your journal on you because then it's this documentation and looking back and being like This is how often this actually happens and it's a pattern and it's something we've addressed and it's something that keeps happening and You can you just then have like like solid proof of like what's actually going on So I think you can talk yourself out of it a lot or kind of forget or like you know Such good advice and if you feel that you're like Things I've heard from friends that have been in the situation in the past is like if you feel that those things that you Withhold from telling your very good friends because you like are aware of how bad it will sound coming out Like that is something to be hyper attuned to and aware of Yeah Yeah, yeah, both really good advice Yeah, I tried to start watching this a video someone made on YouTube and it's an hour long About those two wow and I was like I need to get into that Maybe I'll watch it before Patreon But yeah, I don't know yeah relationships are So old relationships are odd and when you start sort of transforming them into this like Brand product for people that you're serving you know I do think that tension between him and her and their willingness like I think she was on for an episode And they were like oh we just had a huge fight before this and spent the first 20 minutes of the episode Deconstructing the fight live on air like I think that has been a huge part of the appeal of his show is this like willingness to be You know, I'm finished and hyper honest so it's it's like a it's a tricky yeah Obviously when that curdles and people turn on you then that is also become your brand, you know yeah, I mean That sounds cool to be honest about having a fight obviously Yeah, like I think it really worked for a long time. Yeah, I think it's not even about that. It's just about the way he fucking talks to her Yeah, I think also we have such good intuition as women like yeah, it's funny isn't it can just tell when someone gives you the Yeah, yeah Alex has been finding that really interesting Because I'll just be like don't like that person And he's like why and then like three months later they do something Like told you oh like what was it yeah my friend so dating this guy and she was telling us about him and We got off the phone to her and he was like he sounds nice and I was like, I don't know about that and then yeah, he's turned on to a crazy person. Yeah I was like we just know we just know we do I know Goodbye ladies. We spent so long talking about but a chicken pie is before we got on that I've two minutes before my I would love a butter chicken pie right now god I would kill for a butter chicken pie. I love you lady. I'm ready. I'm trying. Bye
