The transcript uses Donald Trump’s ill-conceived ballroom project as a satirical and symbolic critique of the administration’s broader failures in governance, safety, and planning. The design is repeatedly highlighted as a fire hazard due to inadequate emergency exits, poor fire containment, and insufficient bathrooms—reflecting a broader pattern of negligence and impracticality. Architect James McCreary resigned after warning that the project violates fire and safety codes, underscoring a systemic lack of accountability. The ballroom is presented not just as a physical failure, but as a metaphor for the Trump administration’s disregard for real-world consequences, from economic mismanagement to political culture wars. The discussion expands to critique media complicity, political patronage, and the protection of figures like Mitch McConnell through secrecy. In contrast, the hosts advocate for Democrats to present a clear, compassionate, and practical alternative—focusing on economic relief, affordability, and public safety. The tone remains sharp and humorous, using absurdity to expose deeper flaws in leadership. Ultimately, the episode argues that the administration’s priorities—such as extravagant spending and empty symbolism—contradict the needs of ordinary citizens, making the ballroom a powerful emblem of a dysfunctional presidency. The hosts conclude by urging voters to focus on substance over spectacle, emphasizing that real change requires courage, transparency, and commitment to public good.
Well, as we all know, Donald Trump has very severe bathroom problems. I like to cover them on my show, whether it be his diaper, the stenches that come out of him, any ways that Donald Trump falls apart. But Donald Trump isn't just physically having bathroom issues. He's structurally having bathroom issues. And we know that Donald Trump's ballroom is maybe the stupidest thing happening in this administration, but it just got even dumber, because Donald Trump doesn't just have a big old ballroom that nobody wants, but it's a big old ballroom that nobody wants that no one can use the bathroom in. The Washington Post breaks the exclusive "I Am the Code," Trump clashed with ballroom architect over safety issues. James McCreary, the second, which is a pretty honorable name, resigned in October after warning that the president was insisting on designs that violated fire and safety codes. Trump's growing vision for the ballroom triggered a cascade of designed issues, including conflicts with building standards McCreary was trained to follow according to people familiar with their discussions, which might mean JD Vance. McCreary informed the White House that the ballroom's design did not meet fire safety codes, which required the majority of guests to be able to quickly exit through the main entrance during an emergency, according to the people in the documents. The architect also pointed out that alternative emergency exit routes out of the building were insufficient and that there were little in the kitchen to prevent a fire from rapidly spreading into the event space on the floor. Above, in addition to fire safety concerns, Trump desired his desired ballroom design did not include enough toilets to accommodate the structure's maximum occupancy according to the documents, and there were few options for adding more as the event space occupied most of the building's footprint. One early ballroom design featured just seven stalls in the women's bathroom. I truly, and I mean y'all, I truly cannot think of anything more emblematic of Donald Trump's presidency than a building that no one wanted being funded with private money, which was just corrupt private money, then costing public money, then falling apart, getting struck down, coming back, getting struck down, coming back, being the focus of his entire life that is primed to catch on fire and explode, to collapse and to not allow anyone to relieve themselves. It sounds like the Trump presidency, and it's going to be covered in gold. This is the most emblematic thing that has ever happened. It is a poo-poo pants problem, and it's going to catch on God damn fire. That's Donald Trump's presidency. Oh, my lord. Mike, I want to surprise you with that. Yeah. For the ballroom, get more disastrous, the answer is no. I was no pissed off reading that. I want people to know that Jack did not tell me what this episode was about beforehand. He just sent me something to put in the headline about bathrooms and I went, "What?" and he went, "Don't worry about it. Just problem with it." And it's about what I expected it to be. So this all makes sense to me. You're focused on the bathroom piece of this, but I'm going to highlight the following thing that you said that I just wrote down, which was, because I think this is the most Trump administration could have ever heard, that there's a little in the design to prevent a kitchen fire from rapidly spreading into the event space on the floor above. Doesn't that just represent the entire Trump administration, right? There's no follow-through thought process for how do I contain this fire and stop it from being worse? The kitchen straight-of-form moves. Yeah, I know exactly. It's the straight-of-form moves all over again. We're going to go to Iran. We're not thinking through the consequences of the global economy falling apart in a global energy crisis. We don't talk about this enough. The energy crisis that we created by accident in India is unbelievable. And the rest of the world is going to hate us forever, but then in other prices. It's hitting us now. So I mean, gas prices are insane. I don't know if you saw Fox News today had an absolutely brutal take on Fox business because Trump is at war with Fox News right now. It's just really unbelievable. Jack is talking to, I assume, somebody off camera. But yeah, so, you know, but gas is unbelievable. Diesel's out of the charts. We've got all kinds of, you know, just insane. This is an insane administration filled with terrible awful people and they deserve what's coming to them in five weeks on election day. I see a comment from Ruth saying it's a Trumpster fire. Literally, they, this is the most and it's so funny. You're right. Of all the problems that they haven't thought through that they've caused, this is the thing that matters most to him. And I've said this consistently and it's certainly not a compliment to Donald Trump, but it is, it is funny how he actually has some of the details down on this. Like when you ask him about Iran, he's like, well, quite frankly, it will be, it's going to be big and we're going to do it and they're terrified in a deal. And you ask him about health care and it's well concepts and we're getting there and Obama. And then you ask him about the ballroom and he's very specific. He's talking about the granite. It's going to be this and square footage. And he's got the numbers now. We'll talk about the specific type of granite. Like he, I mean, he's all in on. He's all in. But even in that, even in that context, even with his relentless focus on this, it's, it's still a literal fire hazard waiting to happen, which just goes to show how little they consider anything, including the bathroom situation, which for a president, you, you'd think who's, you know, using it all the time. I also heard from a friend who was just at, um, at a Harvard medical event. It was like a Harvard doctors and medicine and scientists and researchers and smart people. It was a smart people event that RFK junior has a thing where every 90 minutes when he's in public on the dot, a staff, a staffer comes up to him and goes, Mr. Secretary, and he goes away for five minutes and then he comes back. What? Do you think that's like, do you think that's like in continents? Do you think that's a testosterone, a little bit of column A, a little bit of column B. So, well, I don't know, man, I don't have to go to the bathroom every 90 minutes, but I'm not a 74 year old drug addict. So, I don't know what these people are doing. I was just got a little leather skin. We are, we are governed by the worst possible people at the worst possible time. And like the truth is, like, I don't spend a lot of time talking about the ballroom because I find it to be a distraction, but I agree with you that it is so representative of what Trump is focused on, right? Like, how many times has he said in the last couple of months in the last year, he's like, America's broke. We have no money, and we can't do anything to help people who get to go bankrupt when they get sick. We can't help you with a childcare. We can't do anything. The government can't do anything to help improve your lives. Well, my God, we've got money for this crap. We've got money for that. Did you see that insane ad that they ran on Fox News yesterday? Okay, before by the government. Yeah. People are by the US government. Like, what are we doing? It's like, it was like the Christy gnome thing where like her campaign was like a hundred million dollar campaign. I'm like, I'm a horse. This is fake yellow stone. 400 million. Like, it was like a lot of money. Well, these days, the Trump 400 million, it just grows on trees. Those hundred million dollar campaigns are now going to cost you four hundred million dollars. That's that's inflation, baby. It's, I mean, if folks haven't seen it, I just posted it on a subset. Not that long ago. I posted it on YouTube, too. By the way, subscribe to BoJack and I's channels everywhere you get your social media content. Very important. And like and engage with this video because the more you like it, the more you'll see our stuff, the more other people see it too. And we'll both grow, which would be great. Thank you for putting that in. Got that in under 15 seconds. But it's unbelievable to me. And then this ad is super disturbing. It's very, it's the most, honestly, it's the most Chinese state TV ad I've ever seen made in America and aired in America because it's like literally the chorus of the song they play is, love me, love me. Like it's so deeply disturbing and your money paid for that, my money paid for that. I'm never going to get that fucking money back. Like who made that ad and why? Like I, we're just tired, man. It's just, they just keep making a hard and tired and annoying. And I'm just, I just, I think we're sick and tired of it. You know, and you're right in the sense about the ballroom, like you think it's a distraction. You think it's kind of done. I just like talking about these things in the, the kind of the cultural context of like, they're doing what? Like I think, and you've been in this political communications game maybe a little bit longer than I have. But I think, I think the game of, I think the game of political telephone is important where it's like, what can I put out there that someone can communicate to their friends? And I think going, do you see Trump spending a billion dollars on a ballroom? People are like, what? He's doing, he's doing a what? I just think that's a thing that you can say to someone. Casually, you don't need all the facts and all the figures and, and you know, facts and figures. I'm a big fan of facts and figure. Friend of the show, facts and figures. I'm, probably, we wish you well. Reality, big fan, big fan of the show. Reality is, where's God? This would be a great moment for the sub-stack account. God to just join the chat right now, which happens for a time of time. God, front of the show. God, are you out there for existence? Practicing Catholic, probably Mike Nellis. I have a practicing Catholic for sure. I don't know that I believe that the God sub-stack account is my God, but it might be down. Well, you know, we get all have different ones. I think sometimes we do. Do you want to have an F bomb every now and again, though? Do you want to have an existential conversation about God? No, no, because I don't have, I have a pizza on the way home, like I can't. What time? Yeah. I have to be a Chicago tavern style pizza, like a real Chicago one. It's not that crappy. That's not crappy. I like a good deep dish pizza. A lot of peppers and pickled vegetables. No, no, sausage and pepperoni. There's no, you don't put fruits on on pizza. That's fruits. Those are vegetables, Michael. Vegetables. Well, it's all the same. It's being the vegetables. Most of the things you think are vegetables actually are vegetables anyway, they're starches. So, and you want to go down that rabbit hole? Are you doing potato? No, potatoes, but like tomatoes or starch, I know that. That's why they retain heat so well. Yeah, well, to it, tomatoes, according to the federal government, including ketchup or vegetable. So, I don't know, yeah. But like I said, this is not a high brow conversation. It's not, not even remotely. This is, this is like a Joe Rogan podcast type of conversation, but I said, speaking of vegetables, Mitch McConnell, just so sad. Is it sad? Am I sad? I don't know. No, I'm not sad. This is the thing that we've talked about. I don't feel bad for him, and I really get pissed off with Andy Bashir. He was a previewing his book in front of the show. He knew he was previewing his book with Wes Moore, who I like. And he was like, you know, when I won my reelection in 2023, I thought to myself, honey, no, I'll never have to run for anything again.
And he's like, but I think my mind has changed on that. I'm like, Andy, what do you want to do? What do you, what do you want to do, Andy? Like really, what do you want to do? Like all I ever hear from Andy Beshear anymore is like, I'm really glad Mitch McConnell is doing well. I'm like, I'm not. But what, what's sad is, is the reporter still going, you doing okay, Mitch? Like you, you got fun weekend plans? It's like, why are we entertaining this? That's sad. Like those, those, those, those videos are so funny where, 'cause it's, it's, what's their name? It's, it's Sharice on X. Or I think that's your name. This is my Mitch McConnell impression, right? Yeah, it's rough. Uh, I feel bad for, I kind of feel bad for him. I don't know, the, like Catholic in me wants to feel bad for him because there's some kind of life in there. But I, you, you've said it a thousand times. I actually played a clip of you talking to promote a giant poll on your Sunday show. By the way, everybody, check out Jack's Sunday show. I'll take my $50 check to promote your show now. Um, but it was a really good interview. And, and you said, you, because you said it to me a couple of times, which is Mitch McConnell is dead in all the ways that, that matter and alive in all the ways that do or something like that. I just think that's right. It's like, that is a, there's a show of a human being that is being dragged out. He can't even get his votes right. It's absolutely disgusting. And to, to me, what, what pisses me off about it is, 'cause I think I told you this last week, it's like, I had a sitting Democratic Senator tell me they didn't like my coverage of Mitch McConnell saga and they wanted me to stop, which they didn't, like, tell me to stop. They just, do you want to drop a name? No, I'm not dropping a name. I'll keep that conversation private. It was Chuck Schumer. It was not Chuck. Mike's best friend. Chuck Schumer does not have time to talk to me. So, but it was someone I had a conversation with. 'Cause you're not giving enough money to Israel. No comment. I didn't turn down. Never mind. I'll tell you that off street. That I turned something down that you'll laugh at me about. I turned it down. But where was I? It is like, I think there's a, there's a, there's a, there's a problem in Washington of these concentrated structures that support one another. And we talk a lot about the gerontocracy. But like if you look at this Mitch McConnell thing from like every angle, there's a group of people that are trying to keep this story alive. And you have Republican centers helping Mitch McConnell vote. You have Democratic senators that are quiet about it because they don't know if they're gonna be the next one 'cause this happened to Diane Feinstein five years ago. This happens to a lot of house colleagues. There's multiple members of the house right now who haven't been seen in a while. And like the Republicans are heavily fixated on Maxine Waters, for example. Now I don't know if that's true or not, 'cause I haven't dug into it yet. Like Maxine Waters is quite old and I love Maxine Waters. But you know, people aren't moving on and so they're protecting one another. The Senate staff inside Mitch McConnell's office are protecting him because they're getting ready for their next gig and they're getting to make a 200 plus thousand dollars. The Senate clerks are protecting him too. And the media is complicit in this as well. - Yeah, 'cause they let them vote not being on the floor. - Yeah, well they let them vote not being on the floor. But also it's like, they're seeing everything and they're not telling the truth about what's going on here. And the media like didn't record that speech that Mitch McConnell allegedly gave, even though he's clearly-- - Well, you know what they didn't. We talked about this, right? - They put it in a place where you're not allowed to have your phone. - Not allowed to record. Yeah, so when Mitch McConnell, wow, that really hit that y'all. - Wow. - When Mitch McConnell came back to the couch. - Not Southern or Jack O'Corella. - Sometimes it comes out of me, but when Mitch McConnell came back to the Capitol, he gave a speech, a little press conference, specifically in an area of the Capitol. So you saw those photos of him in the wheelchair, maybe trying to talk. It was in an area of the Capitol where you're not allowed to be like, "Rama Manual came out with a series of proposals earlier today that were very sensible about how to deal with this." And he suggested a 75-age limit on who can serve in Congress. And I tend to agree. Jack, you got-- - Come on, come on, come on, come on, come on, come on. - Yeah, sure. Can we have a Rama Manual limit on who can run for passes? - No, and I apologize, my phone is going off all of a sudden. - It's okay, can I-- - I'm in Do Not Disturb, but I'm trying to understand this. - Can I do something positive real quick? 'Cause no-- - Say one nice thing about Rama Manual, Jack. - I love how I love his brother Ari on Entourage. - I just listen, you can always take my answer in a situation like that when there's somebody you don't like and you could ask the question. So when I say about Gavin Newsom, you're close friend, front of your show, not front of my show. I always say, "Great head of hair." That's why I landed on that. Great head of hair. - So what did you say to people about me? - I do say that about you, but I mean it. So-- - Thank you. - You know what I'm saying? - If I'm not entirely sure that Gavin Newsdon broke his little lab, like that might have come from Turkey. I'm just saying. - Oh, for God's sake. - Quite frankly-- - I'm in terror now. - Who waves? They're dreamy. - They're beautiful waves and it's a lovely gray. I wanna gray up soon. - If we're just bouncing around like the time I'm like 30. - If we're just bouncing around from topic to topic, can I suggest that we talk very briefly about friend of the show, Zora Mondotti, the Mayor of New York City. And our bad topic is absolutely obsessed with him. It's just absolutely lovely. - Can we say something about this? There were some certain group of people that always get upset in the most annoying way possible. That Mayor Mondotti met with Trump or had him at Gracie Mansion. They're like, oh, so you're gonna get upset about Hawking Jeffries with Jared Kushner, but not Zora and with Trump. The difference is one, the power structure. Jared Kushner is not in the government and the only way that he makes his money, which is his whole goal in life, is by being perceived as in the government, perceived with legitimacy, which Hawking Jeffries gave to him. They also weren't talking about affordability. It was also fucking stupid politically and he's a disgusting individual, Jared Kushner, that is. Zora Mondotti has prevented harassment of immigrants, ice coming down to call it enforcement, ice invasion in New York City. He's gotten federal grants for housing for transit. It's a completely different thing between campaigning or being around someone and governing and understanding who the president is. And by the way, yeah, Jared Kushner got more legitimate from meeting with Jeffries. Donald Trump did not get more popular by meeting with Mondotti. He just got embarrassed. So let me put that on the record. - Can I push back because I don't, I did very respectfully, my friend, disagree with your take. Jared Kushner, whether or not he has a government title or not, he does have a government title, by the way, special envoy. And I think he's also a special assistant to the president, which is a government title. I don't know if he's drawing a salary or not, but obviously he's profiteering off of the government tremendously. He has a huge scumbag. Let me be clear, I don't like the man at all. I also-- - Not a friend of the show. - Not a friend of the show. Ivanka, you know, you can come on the show, but like not, you know, while she's building her Epstein style, I went off the coast of El Baidia, by the way, which is weird shit to say out loud. You sound like a conspiracy theorist when you just say the shit that we know that they're doing. I feel crazy when I say it, but I know it to be true. - There's one more thing you can have that would make you really sound like a conspiracy theorist. - Right, I think like, I don't have a problem with Hakeem meeting with Kushner, because whether I like it or not, Kushner is a powerful figure in the United States government. And it doesn't bother me. Well, it does kind of bother me as like the secrecy of it. And then the question that now I and a lot of people have it, like whether or not Jared Kushner was trying to cut, hold on, let me finish. I let you make your point and you can tell me why I'm wrong. But like, is whether or not they cut some kind of deal to protect Kushner or like prevent investigations. And if we take back the house and we take back the Senate in November and we start to observe democratic members of Congress not thoroughly investigating Jared Kushner's corruption, then I'm gonna think that Hakeem Jeffries has done something wrong. But in the meantime, I don't really care about taking a meeting and I think it's a lot of confirmation bias. Like if you don't have any problem with Zoran Mamdani meeting with Donald Trump, but you were mad at Brechen Whitmer for meeting with Donald Trump. I was, I'm not, not you, Jack. I'm just saying it's like the royal you. There are people out there that we're very happy to take on Grecher Whitmer, but we want to say that Zoran Mamdani's amazing when Grecher Whitmer saved a small military town and got a lot of important disaster relief for Northern Michiganders. So I just think there's a lot of confirmation bias. - I think part of the Whitmer thing, which I did defend because she was coming to the White House for emergency relief. But I think part of the Whitmer thing was that she, she kind of laundered the tariffs a little bit. She's like, oh, you know, tariffs this and that, right? And this was right after Trump's. - I think they're kind of popular in Michigan because of the automotive. - Well, I think there's, yes. And there's certainly a very specific difference between tariffs and Trump's tariffs, which are a means for him to enrich himself and his family and to do punitive attacks on Canada, which is the thing I was going to say earlier, which is see a lot of Canadians. I love all of you. I've been having a love affair with the Canadians on my show recently. I'm thinking of doing a live show in Toronto. I think I want to go do a live show. I think I can do it in Montreal. Like no offense to Toronto, but Montreal is one of the best cities. - I was going to have Drake come. - But if you can get, if you can get Drake fine, but can I be a backup if Drake doesn't come? - Yes. - But I'm having a, - What if I get a very similar vibes? - You get Drake, but I get Kendrick. - Kendrick. - And we see who draws a bigger crowd. And we know who's going to win that fight, okay? - Okay. - Like us. They not like us. Am I too white to get that? - You're dead. I love Kendrick. - I do like it. - You're also too old. - By the way, Kendrick. - Mike now is a good kid, Mad City. (laughing) - Chicago. - This is the dumbest show I love this show so much. - It's really gone off the rails. - Jack, we need a name for our show. I don't know what it is, but you know. - 'Cause it's not endless. - To ask the answer. - It's constant delaying a real topic of conversation. - We talked about Donald Trump's bathroom problem. - I know, but this is the opposite of endless urgency. This is the most like lazy, half-ass hangout show. - But we're talking about Jack and Mike. - I think it's a good idea. I'm glad my name got to go first. But that's alphabetically and size of YouTube audience. - For now, but my thing with Jeffries is again, you already pointed it out. Why do they have to do it in private? - Right, I have a problem with that. - It was not on affordability. They were not having a conversation about affordability. And if they were, why couldn't Jeffries tell us what they were gonna work on with affordability? Trump's not gonna do anything. We shouldn't be, but the difference between Zora and, like Zora did not, how did he legitimize Trump? He challenged him, he brought the press there. Like he called him a fascist in the Oval Office. He doesn't legitimize him. We know he's the president. Zora doesn't need to work with him to protect his constituents. But we also, how is Jeffries protected us?
And I think again, right, it is, I don't know what was discussed at the meeting and I think the secrecy of it is bad. I think we know what was discussed in the Philippines a bit. What? I think we know it was discussed at the meeting. We don't know what was discussed at the meeting. So like let's not, I mean, like, you know, let's not cast into this version. I know you don't, you don't care for the man. I'm skeptical of his leadership, especially after what happened in his last couple of weeks with MPG and Jared Golden, um, just a little, a little bit, so I don't know. But you know what, I want Jared Cushion by the end of this, Jared Cushion has been fucking prison. I guess in the chat, I guess in the chat what they were talking about, Jason Cushion's role. Like, oh my God. The day that they had to, the foreign, the foreign affairs committee, he put Moscow it's. That happened before that. It happened the day after. No, so you think that, you think that Jared Cushner struck a deal with, I'm just asking, I'm not even mad about this, but you don't just think that I'm just saying that I think these things are interconnected. I think the Moscow, it's thing was a big fuck you to the progressive caucus. Like that. No question about that. Which I'm really glad that that's what they're focused on in the Trump era. You know what? I think there's a lot of people that are focused on the wrong things constantly trying to nip at one another. I'm sick of that shit. Which is like why I never want to talk about like the fucking like fight about a son piker on the internet. I couldn't care less. So. Let's, let's end on something positive then. Okay. Which is, what do we, where do we want to end on something positive? Hmm. Hmm. Go Cubs, go, baby. Go Cubs, go. I want to end on something positive. Folks in the chat. Um, what is something that we think is positive right now that happened? Donald Trump, she was humiliated at the UN, press her back at the, uh, I mean, the polls are bad. I mean, the polls are really bad for Republican. The polls are bad. Do you want to talk about that? Just, just, just give us your take and close us out. I mean, I'm afraid my light is about to, that's fine. I get it. Uh, like, look, uh, the polls are polls. They're snapshots in time. Yadda, yadda, yadda, holy shit are the polls bad for Donald Trump and their Republican party right now. And maybe they're wrong. Maybe they're not. I don't know. There's a lot of bluster from the Republicans. I mean, I'm an hour and a half with Sean Spicer talking about the polls live on YouTube. So you guys are. That's very good. Someone said, I was, yeah, I was, I was, I was real, Ohio's real Texas is real. Governor. Governor and, um, governor and Senate, both of them. Yeah. In, in Iowa and Ohio, for sure. Well, Rob Sand will be the governor of Ohio. Rob Sand is going to be, yeah, and I think Amy, I think Amy Acton has him. Like, I think it's, I think that race is, you know, to be extended, it can be like, it just, but Vivek Ramaswami is a terrible candidate. He's a terrible person. It's awful human being. It's been so under reported though, like they, they spent so much time hyper fixated on Graham Platner and how much of your shitbag he turned out to be. And I'm not bringing that up for any reason. I didn't say this. I would like them to spend some fucking time on how terrible these Republican candidates are because all of these races have had to distance themselves from like white supremacists and Nazis that are on their staff. Um, Tommy Tuberville, who by the way is in a dog fight right now with, with Doug Jones for the Alaska movement for you race, got caught not giving his salaried of veterans. He was lying about that. And by the way, as the dumbest member of Kyrus, yesterday used his floor time to start talking about how many airline pilots are also furries in a weird attack on the transgender community, which isn't even what a fucking furry is. These people are super weird. So I will say though, like for everybody, and then I'll give you a final word, Jack. I guess I have one run through the fucking tape. Don't believe the polls. I do think some of the polls are a little drunk and they're a little too optimistic for Democrats. It's skeptical that we're winning the Idaho Senate race as much as I would love for Angie Nixon to be the next senator from Florida. I'm skeptical that like Florida is as close as it is. I pray that it is. I would love to be wrong about that. But, you know, I just focus, do the work, go knock on doors, make donations to candidates you believe in. Run through the fucking tape. And I'd say my last thing is, and I talked about this on my show because it was, it was a marsi captor. Yeah. Uh, she did this ad. Did you see it? Yes. So this congresswoman, uh, Democrat did this ad in which she started off as a 30 second ad. That's right. Trump's war is terrible. And I oppose it. Am I opponent? He supports it. And then she pivoted to, but he's trying to say that I support trans people playing sports. And I don't. And now I'm going to spend 20 seconds on that. Like, what do you? Democrats right now should not take the bait on anything. Have you seen a share of Brown's ad on this? I just, I did just talk to him. I wish I had. What was the ad? So shared, shared Brown has, has the best ad about this forever. Literal friend of the show. Literal, literal friend of both of our shows, like I've known shared for a while. So like, he's, his ad is perfect. It's literally like the first five seconds are like, there they go again with this culture. And it's like regular people talking. It's like, there they go again with this culture war bullshit. Why are they focused on that? When I can't afford to pay my grocery, it comes to like a woman sitting at the table being like, I can't afford to my rent right now. And like, that's what you do. That's it. And just knife them. And, and I'd say, you know, Mike, and I have a difference of opinion on, uh, on his son. Mike and I may have a difference. I don't, I don't care. That's not exactly. But the thing is someone asked you about his son, you go, why are you asking me about the streamer? Let's talk about the issues. Someone asked you about like, trying to get you to throw trans people onto the bus. Why would I attack trans people? What I want to do is help Americans afford their groceries, their gas, their rent, all of that. And also, right now, I'm not even talking much is to ignore the culture wars. Democrats have the opportunity to announce themselves firmly as popular and right on everything. On everything Republicans are under water on the economy, they're under water. The myth that Republicans are better on the economy. No one believes that shit. They're on immigration. Absolutely not. Certainly they don't believe that. No. It's about Republicans. It's not just about Trump. It's about Republicans, uh, foreign affairs, any of this stuff. Democrats have the opportunity to say, we are right. You see how bad they fucked up? You have to listen to us. Do not see it and go, oh, well, you know, I was pretty, I had a pretty conservative record on, uh, on immigration. No, a conservative record and immigration right now in this moment means a shitty record on immigration. Democrats announce themselves as popular, announces themselves as right and just charge forward. Like that is my advice right now. Do not listen to any of the bullshit. We are Democrats. We are right. We will fix this shit and we will build something better. Do not cave. Do not allow the distractions. None of it. That's my final word. Well, I'm sorry. I'd like to add a thing if that's okay. Like they need to be prepared to use power to actually fiction because if we make a bunch of promises and we don't use power, the right way, we're going to be fucked. I will say it doesn't bother me when like somebody in our plus 10 district is running about how conservative they are in immigration provided later. They both the correct way, which most of you find like why my thing is like why do they have to do that right now? It's an art. Usually it's and it's going to go to a Democrat because Democrat because even in the R plus 10 district, they don't like the Republicans. So why are they going to have to have to win it? They're going to have to win it. They're going to have to win it in 28, which might not be as good of a year or 32, which definitely won't be as good of a year if we win the presidency in 28. Well, then what we should do is I think there's just like my thing about it is I would much rather let these candidates play their race to the district that they need to and like not feel like we need to police them provided that when they get there, they're doing the things for the most part that we need them to do, which is why like I'm particularly pissed at like Jared Golden and MPG for like their votes against against the caucus on the rules. Like that's incredibly fucked up in disloyal and like I'm willing to put up with a lot of shit from MPG. I'm not going to put up with that. I think that annoys me. But like I thought it was wrong when a lot of people were celebrating Jared Golden dropping out of that race and basically retiring because that Dunlap is probably going to win that race. Now, I would say he's pretty close to winning that. But Dunlap will be in deep trouble in 2028. So like just going to be a lot of people celebrating that, but I worry that he might not be able to carry it. He's also running us the fucking lunatic in the page. So like I just it's just a little bit more complicated to build coalitions around that. But I just, but I wanted to add one time and then if you want to take the actual final word, I'm sorry. My wife is literally texting me telling the pizzas of the house. I know my pizza is getting cold, but I want to fight with Jack. Did you, did I send you my clip of me on Newsmax, losing my shit about a son, Piker or Sunday morning? No, you should though. Because they said you don't text me like you used to Michael. I'm so sorry. There's just I text Isaiah Martin Moore. He's just so cool and edgy. That's quite frankly. I love Isaiah. I was there. I was there. I was there. The only person tall. I've ever met this. Maybe taller than you. Isaiah is the next close to taller. What are you talking about? Okay. Let me just say. I'm six foot six. What are you talking? Really? Are you that fucking? I guess. I'm going to go to sidebar and then I'm going to come back to where I was at and then we're going to give Jack the final word and I'm going to get out and go eat pizza. I saw Jack, Isaiah, and Sawyer Hackett at an event of happy hours. Extremely sexy group of people. It was the four of us all sharing a lovely cocktail. I am five fucking eight and 40 and I'm like, I'm not ugly, but like I'm not handsome. You're a good looking guy. Whatever. I've never been more insecure about every aspect of my life, my age, my height, my physical attractiveness. I was like, holy shit. This is like, this is so offensive. And the average age of the three of them is like 23. So like I hate all of you. It was what I wanted to say. So yeah. Are you doing your blue steal? Great. So then. All right. What was my actual point that I wanted to be? Okay. A songpiker. So they asked me about a songpiker. You need to cut a lot of this when you post this. We're posting it. You're just going to talk. I'm literally putting my mic down. I'm actually going to go get a beer from my minute. Thank you to all the people in the comments. Telling me I'm attractive right now. That was what I wanted and why I told the story. And Jack just fucking laughed. So he's not even interested in hearing what I have to say. So I was on Newsmax, just so ridiculous, I just fucking got up and laughed. I was on Newsmax and they asked me about a songpiker and I lost my shit. And they were like, my garden, you could turn about this troubling relationship between a songpiker and, and, and, and do a little say add. And I went, no, the most troubling association in the Michigan Senate race is between Donald Trump and Mike Rogers. And I was fucking like a little bit into them and they, they cut the show so fast. They were like, well, we got to go. That's the end of the show. Like we're done with Nellis now. Like we got to go. And I'm like, yeah, no shit. Because like people don't care. There was a pull out today. I won't understand this. They have spent six months now, basically like wall to wall, his songpiker coverage. And they pulled the American people, 55% of Americans don't even have a fucking opinion about a songpiker. Okay. They don't care about this guy. 35% of Americans do what they don't particularly care for them that's all the Fox news can do
So there's a limit to their mega medium machine and by the way, I tweeted that out in a sodpiker like that tweet I was very excited about that He's shot cutting a beer to catch up to me right now or wherever's there or some kind of I'm just covering it so that I don't get Oh, see I don't care liquid liquid death if you'd like to sponsor my show. Okay, I'm a I my driver's license says that I'm 510 I assume that I've been like so he's going to get another drink. He's going to I assume my height was actually 5.9 and that I've been lying about it forever and I was at the doctor's office That I was 5.8 and I had an existential crisis about how short I was and I told my wife this story and she goes I could have told you were 5.8 Unhelpful. Summary:
FAQs
The ballroom design fails to meet fire safety codes, including inadequate emergency exits, insufficient emergency routes from the kitchen to the event space, and a lack of measures to contain a kitchen fire from spreading to the main event area.
The design includes only seven women's restroom stalls, and there are limited options to add more toilets due to the event space occupying most of the building's footprint, making it inadequate for the maximum occupancy.
James McCreary, the ballroom architect, resigned in October 2023 after warning that Trump's designs violated fire and safety codes, and he informed the White House that the design failed to meet essential safety requirements.
The ballroom's design flaws symbolize a lack of planning and foresight, much like the administration's failure to consider consequences in areas like energy policy, foreign affairs, and economic management.
The focus on specific design details like granite and square footage shows Trump's obsession with visible, tangible elements, even when critical safety and functionality issues are overlooked.
The absence of sufficient emergency exits means that in a fire, most guests would be unable to evacuate quickly, violating fire safety regulations and putting lives at risk.
