The discussion highlights generational divides, with online communities amplifying negative reactions, often based on bias or nostalgia. It also notes that Black artists have historically dominated the Super Bowl halftime show, underscoring cultural significance. The conversation concludes by questioning how fame, legacy, and public perception are shaped—especially when established artists face scrutiny for their continued success. How you feeling brother? You taking the kids out your country? I'm I'm very excited. Yeah, this is not your daughter's what second all we well she's turning three, but This is the first one she understands conceptually. What's going on very excited? I wanted to get a costume and all of that stuff. She's been talking about being the Cindy Luhu for Month Cindy Luhu from Dr. Seuss from the Grinch the Grinch I mean, that's still Dr. Seuss though. Yeah, the Grinch Wow, okay, you got the you got the costume and everything ready for it I hope my wife did that man, but she got to get makeup and everything to be Cindy Luhu because she got to get the nose and all that shit like that I mean, yeah, I got a yeah, we'll see. Maybe she doesn't do all that, but we'll just tell you You got to Nah, bro. Nah daddy getting paid for daddy getting money daddy can take her to get the actual movie Static, but then you know right off they don't like things on their face. No, no, no, but not if you get the paint Yeah, but then they can't breathe and it's a whole what paint the fuck. He's good enough No, we'll do like a little but you know in the movie. They almost do like a kind of like mouse. Oh, got you got you got you got you got you got you got you got you got you You excited you at your costume? Yes, I do you're gonna be No, I'm gonna be a great alien this year the great aliens are the alien species that fight the reptilians You know what I'm saying? So I'm gonna be a great alien this year. I got the hands the outfit the head suit I thought you were gonna be a hoes underwear so you could hold this dick I let I let y'all do that with drink I said why can't he just like Jay-Z? I don't understand that because I can't just like a rapper Because nobody really likes greatness in this area y'all not realize that this is the era This is the area where you don't even have to be there does it be perceived as great. No greatness and insulting great Celebrated not trying is celebrating so great. This is cringe. If you actually try your cringe. It's pussy, bro I know for real. I do think it's your right is that generational it is. Yes, great. Yeah, it started with the participation trophy era Right when you started giving people participation trophies, right? Just for showing up. Yeah, and then it is evolved into whatever this is now to where if you I saw I saw somebody do It was to do from Boston. What's his name KFC bar stool? Mm-hmm. You know, I'm talking about South KFC. Yeah, that's the name of the action KFC Bustle yeah, he did a thing now. He did a thing and we can actually insert it when he said How it's better for artists? I mean, matter of fact, what the fuck am I repeating him for when I can just pull it up while you while you bring it up? Um, I think there's something to do with everything being recorded Because like in order to do something great you got to fail a lot Man back in the day your failures not every single one of them was captured in 4k for the world to watch and ridicule Mm-hmm, and now I think that there's like, you know So now people are a little bit afraid of failing and also like the influencer culture is cringy So when you see somebody trying you see somebody doing like a front-facing camera video You're looking at like I look so corny. I don't want to do that It's like okay, but you got to do something if you want to be great. Yeah So I think there's a few different elements. They're lending itself. I mean he's just performing and people are upset about it Listen to this also the key rappers will go go go go I think we've reached a point in society where the absolute mega stars the people who have reached the top of their industry and their craft Should all retire because there is absolutely no incentive for them to keep going other than if they have an Insatiable need for money if I was Jay-Z if I was Taylor Swift if I was Drake if I was even fucking Shane Gillis I would retire because once you've reached a certain level all you do by continuing your art is invite hate and ruin your own legacy Every new project every release once you have attained the top level it invites nothing but scrutiny and a whole new generation To say that you were trash and yeah, you could just think about legacies like who gives a fuck my Tyson once famously said like I don't do a fuck about my legacy in 300 years I'm gonna be dead who cares and that's probably the healthiest way to think of it But also anybody who does art and work has a connection to that craft and their fans and probably wants to keep doing it and wants to do It as an old man and celebrate with his fans and find new fans and all that shit and none of that happened and the latest example of that of course Is the Jay-Z Super Bowl Jay-Z does his concert and so 5 stadium the other day you get one video where there's like two empty seats and everyone says look He can't even sell out a stadium then we see the real footage and the stadium is jam packed and people say oh well They're not dancing. Oh, so now you have to be dancing at a concert or they say oh it's only sold out because the tickets were inexpensive But if you make your tickets too expensive now you're sell out and somehow the argument against the 2026 Super Bowl Retroactively invalidates like his whole career where people are like Jay-Z was never the most popular rapper He never had the biggest year in hip-hop and the encounter to that is like I don't know eight straight summers of Jay-Z Basically making hip-hop the most popular genre in the world He is like the definitive crossover hip-hop artist that took rap mainstream age-straight summers of albums that were Ryana and Beyoncé the greatest beat picker of all time. He has smash hits with Timberl and Ferrell Kanye Neptune's the man has more hits and connections and substance and like maybe any rapper ever and the response from that from the haters It's just like now now I have seen On the phone scrolling like we are reading all of this ridiculous hate about them But I hate to admit that the internet does drive public opinion and now all the sudden oh it does Jay-Z's reputation Jay-Z's reputation is like he's a nobody. He's a bum. He can't do the Super Bowl Like why even subject yourself and your legacy and your career to this fucking No, if that can't see Boston. Yeah, Kevin Clancy Kevin Clancy I like a lot of the stuff Clevver can't be talking about but Kevin and He didn't mean to but he contradicted himself. What do you mean a bunch of different times in that video? Because we're just making a good argument. No, a great argument, but he's putting too much Credence into what people on social meeting. Oh, that because he literally you you talked about the sold out concerts You talked about the eight straight summers of domination that Jay-Z had 14 number one albums This goes back to what we just were talking about this era simply does not like Okay, okay, there's a good. All right. Let's before we get into proving this era doesn't like reading this I do think that there's a thing where like they're crime they're chronically online people yes that exist in a online bubble Yes, and they think that what they're seeing online is what the world believes and They're existing in a tiny little bubble online where that is the belief system and they're chronically online And they need to unplug their phones and then go back to reality. The reality is the majority of Jay-Z fans just love Jay-Z He's been one of their favorite artists for the last fucking 20 years 30 30 years whatever It's I there you're just a but chronically online people that do not like him for chronically online problems So if you're chronically online, you don't like billionaires. You don't like capitalists. You don't like People in power using power to advance themselves in them for their friends These are these are I mean people that are not chronically online probably also don't like that But these are conversations that exist chronically online, right? Yes, so he is representative of all those chronically online problems and his fan base is Older than the chronically online So wearing his fan base actually also saw him become what he is now correct They were from the beginning. They were along for the right. They made they made him do it Yes, they propelled him to that green right? So it's like he's in a unique position where his fans are not chronically online So they're not going to be fighting for him in the way that like a Section of Drake fans will fight against a section of Kendrick fans now both Drake and Kendrick have fans that are not chronically online Obviously, but they do have that chronically online component that will go to war together on the internet I don't know dude who's 45 years old got a real fucking job and got kids who's gonna put his kids down and go on Twitter and be like But the show was amazed like you don't care. You already showed improved through actions and deeds by buying a ticket to the show Yeah, going to the show buying some merchandise and enjoying that three hours and going to fuck home to your family Yeah, that's it and by the way at the end of the day. It's all about hard ticket sales And I'm gonna tell everybody this man. Yeah, if you can't celebrate the success of somebody else you'll never have no success a year Oh, I love consistency in longevity smooth to my god Bobby Bones. I saw him having a discussion. I think it was him and Eddie the other day. And they were having a discussion about, he was about country music. It was about country music. And he was saying who from this generation is going to be around when they're 60? What current artists do you think I'll still be selling tickets in 20 years? I've Ed Sheeran, Luke Combs. That's good on the countryside. Obviously Taylor Swift. Oh yeah, Taylor. It's going to be like, Oh yeah, we're going to go see Taylor, but she's not going to be running around or anything. It will be weird when she's 60 doing teenage songs. Right. I wear short skirts. Yeah. That'll be weird. That's funny. I think Taylor at 60 years old is still selling a lot of tickets. And a lot of it's going to be not based on the song she writes from now to then, but based on the massive library and the feelings that people had when they were younger, they don't need a Taylor Swift. What do you think about Adele? Adele probably right? If she could say, yeah, yeah, yeah. I mean, yeah, like, like, who, like who from the dare generation are you still going to want to go pay a ticket for when that person is 60 years old? And not ironically, not ironically, not nostalgicly. That's right. I think that is the thing that frustrates people about this J situation is when people in no disrespect to the backstreet boys, but when people are going to see the backstreet boys in the sphere, they're doing it as an nostalgia play. They're going, you know, remember when we were young watching the backstreet boys, let's go see them again. That'll be fun. That was what they brought him in. Hold on, hold on, hold on. When Jay is going the Super Bowl, whether you like him or not, he is doing it because he's had a massive year in hip hop in a massive career. Oh, sure, sure. This year, he celebrated that 30 year career black, but black street backstreet boys had a massive career. Then there was a 10, 15 year gap or 20 year gap. And then they go do the spheres in a style to play. Jay hasn't dropped off in relevancy. No. And I think that's the different thing. We can accept somebody who, quote, unquote, fell off and then let's go ironically watch him. That's okay for most people, right? You're not still popping. We're doing this as like a fun little. It's almost, it's almost like a gag that we enjoy. Yeah. That you could do. Let's go to a karaoke bar. Let's ride a mechanical bill, like that's how you're going into it. But this guy's still hanging around still on top of set. Fuck him. That's a lot of people. That's the other thing too, right? His last album was 4444 came out in 2016. So for the last 10 years, there's no music or anything. So there's a whole generation. Imagine you were 10 when 4444 came out. Now you're 20 something now and all of a sudden this guy, right, who you just know is being almost 60 years old is headlining everything. He's headlining the Roots picnic. And you know, he says something that get everybody talking for months. Then he turns around and does the three days at Yankee Stadium and breaks all kind of records. Then he goes to London and Paris and does the same thing. And goes to Soulpot. They even does the same thing. Then he turns around and announces himself with a soup bowl. And everybody's like, what the fuck? Well, Rod Wavin isn't doing the halftime show. You know what I'm saying? Like, oh, why does person doing that? They can't understand where this guy came from. They didn't see the journey. I think there's that. But I think there's also the perspective of like young people aren't connected to his music. So they're already like, why is this person doing so? That's strike one. And then two, they're like a person in power put themselves in the position instead of, you know, using that power. It's uplift somebody else. He did. He uplifted other people for the last seven years. You know, it don't matter, bro. Eight years. You know, you know, it don't matter. It's like. It don't matter. That money was last year. They look at it. They look at it. They look at us. But Dragan's snow. It's a charity loan. It's ideological, bro. It's, they're looking at it like a nepotism ship. But you even do it for yourself. Why not? I wanted Miley. If that I, you're sure. Oh, stop. I wanted Miley. They're so full of it. Look how you going so harbor JZ. But then be like, I want my. I did. Listen, I'll settle for Jay. I thought I was going to get some party in the USA. I thought I was going to get some flowers, some wrecking ball, a dialy pardoned country tribute. I thought I was getting that, but I'll settle for Jay. Jay is cool. He did that lab actor. He's so ridiculous. I'll settle for Jay. Jay is a good. He's a good kid enough. That's good enough. Let me ask the question though. What's the super what's performing at the Super Bowl supposed to represent? What's the supposed to reflect? Is it supposed to be the hottest artist of the year? Is it supposed to be the pop selling touring artist? It's never been it. It's actually the core. It's actually the people who have. It's a career legacy careers. It's a career. It wasn't JZ brought in specifically because people were tired of the stones or arrows Smith or these. That's why you think JZ was brought in. Well, adorable. Yeah. I mean, that is the people forget that. No, no, no, no, no, no. Chris is right. No, Chris is right. Chris is right. People forget that part of the story long before long before Colin Kaepernick protests. Right. He was telling Travis Scott not to do the Super Bowl. They're going to have you be a B side. Who was it? Um, damn, look at up. I forgot who it was. He said, he said, yo, he told me yo, you had the biggest years and he said, whoever they picked that year, he even said, yo, it should be Travis Scott, but there was Franton on on on on on right. No one asked about it, but my problem with Travis Scott wasn't about him not playing football. My problem was he had the biggest year to me last year. He had a monster record sick old mode and he's playing on the stage. I had an M on it. I don't, I don't see any reason for him to play second fiddle to anyone that year. And that was my problem. Going off. It was reported last year that Rihanna was turned it down because of the Colin Kaepernick situation. She's obviously a collaborator here. Is does this partnership maybe make her rethink for the future? Is she? Do you have an example? We have that, sir. Yes. So that's a tough question for me now. Do you say you want to change things from the inside, man? But what do you actually want to change? Just, just, I just, uh, again, the entertainment, I think that for a long time, and I just didn't have felt America in general looked at rap was this fat thing or looked at our music as fat. And it's the number one genre in the world and has been that way. When people tell you, oh, rap is number one now. That's 15 years ago. You just can't hide the, the statistics now because of streaming. The streaming numbers are so outrageous that you can't hide it. But in 1998, rap was the number one genre. And going forward to today. So, um, I would love, I would love for these platforms to be more inclusive of our music. He's now, erosmith. He's now the Rolling Stones. He's now those groups. So let it, so let hip-hop get one. Well, if you frame like that, I'm not mad at it. Can I ask this question? If you frame it like that. What, when Dr. Dre did it, when the last time Dre put out an album, but we loved it. We loved seeing Dre and Snoop up there. Then they bought out Kendrick. Then he bought out M&M. Then he bought out 56 and Mary J. Blasch. It was incredible. That's our era. Why can we not celebrate our era of fucking hip-hop? We never thought we would see that level of hip-hop on the Super Bowl. And we didn't see it. We saw it with, we saw it on our era. We saw it with Dre. We saw it with, uh, that's what I'm saying. Oh, I'm sorry. That's because of Jay. Yeah. I would say the last two years, it was the hottest person out. So when you have that bunny and then you have Kendrick, now it seems like, wait, this is, you're not giving, you shouldn't go to Jay, but you're not giving Kendrick his just do. He had the hottest year that year. But Kendrick also had the legacy career. I get it, but also Kendrick's been around for a decade plus. But he also had the biggest year. And he had the biggest year. So now it looks like, wait a minute, but, but, yeah, you didn't have the biggest year. Why are you doing it? Well, that's because before Kendrick, more people calling for, Chris Brown. No, they weren't that year in New Orleans. What are they calling for? Yes, money. Yes. They wanted little Wayne and friends. And that, we thought that would be little Wayne and Drake. That's what we thought. But then when they presented Kendrick, we was like, sorry Wayne, you know, saying like, but it was still people that was fighting for Wayne, too. They were like, nice. Shooted me away. But I also think that's our bubble that wanted little Wayne. I think if little Wayne was announced for the Super Bowl that year, you would have had a lot of people just as upset as so quite an announcement right now. Maybe this is the first time in my life, where I've seen public opinion on the internet, by the way, let's, let's, this is not public opinion, internet opinion, be this critical of Jay Z. I've seen little blips and little things pop up, but like he's been such a masterful controller of cool. And this is the first time I've actually seen it look like in the internet space, people are not fuck with it. First miss that. I'll say, how is it a miss that? Well, let's see Jay Z has been the coolest. Yeah. So most untouchable, never even a quarter inch mistake. He didn't punch bad bro, but you mean in the elevator man. This is the first time he's miss read the room a little bit. How in my humble opinion. Tell me how. I don't think people wanted him. Now look, this could be a Greg Popovich moment, right? Greg Popovich. You know what? You know what people didn't want? Bad money. Stop listening to these digital I'm just listening to my head, man. - Can we hold on a second? - Can you make your argument now? You also make your argument? - And when if you're off in this Google JZ and Fox News, and looking who the first people were upset when he got announced last week. - And I think it could backfire on that very reason, but that's a different conversation. - Okay, that's why you gotta do story of OGIS. - Still nigga. - Chris, just go. - You gotta do story of OGIS. - I just feel like I always saw Jay-Z as a guy who always moved the right thing to say in the moment was always cool. Always like, again, had the finger on the pulse. And I'm not saying that this is like an insane thing for him to do, but it's just a little off. - It's a little off and everybody is talking to me. - Everybody literally is saying, it's the most predictable thing ever. - Well, well, well, well, it doesn't matter. - Because you don't see Jay-Z coming usually. - Yeah! - You can't say God damn, Chris. - Shit. - That was crazy as fuck. - That was very true. - Wait, what do you mean, you'll see him. - That's not true. - His moves are so smooth that you can't call them. (laughing) - He's doubling down, bro. He doesn't down. - Did I tell you I found the very charismatic person? Have I mentioned that? - He's charismatic. - We'll see Jay-Z coming 'cause his moves are so smooth. - Here's the thing. - Did you were surprised by it? - No, I wasn't, I'm sorry. - That Alex is point. - But what Alex said the last two years, they picked the hottest person of the year. - I think this is an interesting argument. - You know why it seems so predictable this year? - Because he's been in the headlines. - No, no, no, just say it, it's okay to say it. - So he's having a good year. Would you say he's been the hottest artist this year? He didn't drop new music. - That's so nice. - I have a good year. - Yes, that doesn't mean you're. - I wouldn't say he's the hottest artist, but I would say. - Who's hotter? - Chris Brown. - I mean, listen, and y'all gotta say, and I would love Chris Brown to a Super Bowl. Y'all know why Chris is like. - I know, I'm just saying. - We put it out already. - We're gonna keep it a being like, you can name a bunch of country artists, you can name pop artists. - You really can, not this year. - Is that woman who had the song that was number one for like, this woman that had the song this year? - I'm just wangling, wangling. - But that's what I'm saying. It's not in my bubble, but that one would go crazy. - R.O.G had a hot year. - Yeah, there's just a bunch of people going out. - But he did it last year. - Music, who could have. - Most fans would be more excited if Drake was doing the Super Bowl. - That's right. - Drake is trying to down a couple of times already. - I'm not saying he didn't, but I get what you're saying. It's, there's no question whether he had a fantastic year in music, kind of fantastic. - And it'd be 57 years old. - It'd be what he's doing. - No new music out. And the cause, the frenzy that he's caused all year long, even though I wanted Miley, Jay should do a Super Bowl, yo. - And I think what also adds to this is like, all the corruption we're seeing going on, I think Andrew made this point before. This looks like that. - It feels rough. - It's like, how do you get to choose the person and you choose yourself? - What did Roger Good, after he, what did Roger Goodell say? - The very first time he did the deal. - We've always wanted this to happen at some point. It was something that I asked him about. Actually, at the time, when we first started this, and he said, yeah, we'll see, let's see what happens. But it was clear he wanted to do it. And we've talked about it a couple of times. I think the fact that he's in his 30th anniversary year of his first album, he just finished his tour, it's LA. He's at that point as the goat that he's ready for it. And he was just pretty clear. I want to do it this year. And so I guess I was more excited than anything. But I think he's, you know, he's got, he's already got his vision. He already understands what he wants to do. He's been so remarkable in helping us elevate the whole Super Bowl half time. He's a genius and it's not just the creative genius in the musical sense. It's just his business sense, the sense of timing, the sense of what's necessary in the world. He's just got that. And so I trust him and I trust his point of view. So this is a great piece of, what do you say? So like we one promise that one day you'll do it yourself. Yes, I'm teased. When the time is right. When the time is right, I'm teasing. And how was the time not right when it's the 30 year anniversary of your first album? When you're literally celebrating 30 years of your career? This is why I don't understand anybody that's not said about anything. You're being logical. That's the thing. I think what I think notice people. This is great. Listen, listen. I had to. All right, so listen, you're being logical. I think what Chris is trying to say is that Jay has always understood the emotional tone of the people and written that's a perfection for 30 years. And he's never really put himself. I mean, he's been close in certain situations where he got called out, but he's really managed the game beautifully. And this is the first time any of us have seen him in his whole career be out there with people like, nah, I don't want it. Whereas in the past it's always been like, oh, shit. We're getting some, oh, no, I was coming out this far. Oh, guys, I haven't seen anything like this. Have you guys seen anything like this? Forty Jack. You've been in situations where people want to dance to you. I've been in situations where people wanted to cancel me. Were you still selling not a radius? I was very fortunate to, yeah, God bless. Still number one on radio. Everything like, like, what are we talking about? Yes, you're always going to have critics. My guy, Cadillac Jack always told me about the rule of 10. Three people go like it. Three people will not go like it. Four people don't even know what the fuck's going on. That is true. What's essential when are we the people who just lean in to the naysayers? There we go. They're always going to be naysayers. Yo, Michael Jordan got people that say he's not the goat. I remember. Tom Brady got people who say he's not the goat. Yeah. The bride or have people who say he's not the goat. And they're right, but that's not the point. The point is, the point is that you're always going to have criticism no matter how good you are. I'm not talking about that. I don't think we're debating whether or not disagree. We're not disagreeing whether or not. I don't know what we're to be. We're more trying to understand what the feeling is and why it's different than anything we've felt with Jay before. Because in our time, in our timeline, we've never seen anything like this happening. What I would also say is the majority of our timeline with Jay was sans the internet or very early iterations of the internet. So now you have a very loud vocal minority that is chronically online whose brains are morphed by whatever's trending. They're confused and mirrored. Because they can't stop talking about Jay. Well, people just talk about whatever trends. That's the other thing is like what they see something is trending even if they have no connective tissue to it all. They're like, oh, there's views in that. We got to get on that story. So I think there's another and you're not going to get views by saying something's awesome. You're going to get views by saying the stadium was empty. Which is stupid. I don't know if we were even saying that until he had to re-bunk the bunk. They say the dumbest shit. Like they had, she don't take it back. Take it back. Take it to zero dollars. That's what we talk about. Guys, you get two stadium shows. There's only a handful of rappers on the planet that could even sell out a stadium. Let's just put things in perspective here. It's unbelievable. But why are people believing that like who? How do these rumors get to? Where is it? When we talk about what we all really need to be talking about. What do we really need to be talking about? Justice for Miley Cyrus. Loki? Why do you Miley get the look, y'all? Well, it's Jay-Z and friends. So maybe she-- Y'all got to be saying that, dude. It is no Jay-Z and friends. That's the other thing that pisses me off. Oh, I don't know. No, y'all keep people. There's a window y'all go to Jay-Z shows because y'all care about who's coming out. When did that become a thing? Well, I would give some pushback because the-- The history of Jay-Z touring has always been with someone else. I don't think it's wrong for us to expect. I went to the 444 tour. It was just Jay-Z. But do we remember the biggest tours? Yeah. I met DMX, him, and Arty Lee. By the way, who else was it? Who doesn't go out with people? Beyonce. What artist doesn't go out with people? That's not a criticism. I'm just saying it is normal for us to expect him to be with other people because when those shows are announced as it was Jay-Z and Beyonce, the hard-knock life tour was Jay-Z, DMX, Red Man, and MF Man. Arty was the rock-to-mic tour with Jay-Z. And if you say those were announced as the whole tour. But he didn't solo tour ever. That's what he did. Not to the extent that he did the big ones. Even the Yankees shows. I was excited. Exactly to see who's going to come out. I don't like it there, boss. That's because you're a whole fan. But other people definitely came out like, oh shit. You have to come out. We don't give a fuck about y'all. And that's what everybody needs to start realizing when it comes to-- No, I don't know. Who's with me? The Super Bowl. Who's with me? Jay-Z fans. No, we don't give a fuck about y'all. I think the thing is this is when you have an artist that's as successful and powerful as a Jay-Z, you know that they have the pull to bring out whoever. So it's not like that's the reason I'm watching. But it sprinkles on the ice cream. You're like, I, well, what are the sprinkles going to be that I've ever gone to a concert three days in my life ever? I don't do festivals and all of that shit where I do the weekend shit. You know what I went to this shit? Because you're part of the casino. That was after the fact that the casino had already got voted out. But that makes no sense. But because they announced reasonable doubt, I'm like, oh shit. Yeah, but you're talking about your own fan base. I'm talking about majority, though. Is he going to do all the choreography? Is he going to walk through sets and do all that sort of shit? Because that's-- Really? Why would he? Because I've never seen him do anything like that. That's a sad way. - You weren't there when you came out with the bulletproof vest on in the Rolex, and they had the fucking helicopter flying over here. - But they're going to have like a fake bodega that he comes out of the first song that he goes to a man. - I don't know what I'm going to do, 'cause that's the standard man. - All I'm going to say is handouts, reasonable doubt, and blueprint. I'm like, oh, I got to go to that. I got to go to that. And by the way, I didn't even plan to go to blueprint. But the reasonable doubt was so good. I'm like, yeah, I'm going to go see the blueprint show. Right, looper and show, it was just him on that stage. But I'll slick Rick M&M, and I think Jazzo, the night three. Nobody knew 15 artists was coming out. Now you couldn't have nobody knew he was bringing out all of the music industry. - But you're saying it as a negative. Like, I'm going, I'm excited for Jay-Z music, but I'm also excited, yo, who is he going to bring out? Like, imagine he brings GZ on a Super Bowl. You never thought you're going to see GZ at Super Bowl. Imagine if you see GZ at Super Bowl. - Come on, let's see the blueprint. - Dynasty intro, I don't even want no commercial, Jay-Z. - Absolutely. - PSA, he's got to do PSA. - PSA. - I'm with that tone. - My fellow Americans, you got. - Well, my fellow Americans. - PSA, I want you to know, I want Dynasty intro. I want Cannot Live. You know what I mean? - I want-- - Because PSA, if he just PSA and opens it up, and the second, the second that drop comes, nobody's even thinking about how they wish it was someone else's business. - You don't give a fuck about no 20 year old. - My fellow Americans, once you hear my fellow Americans, the douche bump star, I need to reintroduce myself. - Oh shit. - At this over. - At this over. - It's over. - It's over. - Now, I would love for him to do dead presidents and bring out Nas to do the hook. You know, now would it be amazing? - Absolutely. - By the way, if Kanye hadn't have fucked up, Kanye would have been amazing. - He really would have. - Oh my god. - I mean, there's only really-- - He's got to do Empire State of mind. - Nah. - He has to. - Yeah. - You don't want it, but he has to. - That's the only song most white people know. - Yeah. - I don't give a fuck off of the white PSA. - We don't share. - Is it like an accordion that comes in on PSA? Have a kind of walk and you got some church announcements? - Uh, but oh, dude, November 6th and 7th, I'm going to be in Alabama, the understands.com for tickets. Thank you very much. - My church announcements, my guy, Lou John, man, make sure you go pick up his book, all these shops, so you can hear me, it's available everywhere. You buy books now, okay? Go out there, pick it up. Great, great, great read, man, if you love hip-hop. You know what's so funny, Lou John, talks about doing the soup bowl a lot in the book. He actually starts off the book talking about doing the soup bowl with usher and just how much preparation went into it and just how big of a moment that is. I don't think we realize how it feels to know you're going to be seen by over 100 million people. - Yeah. - You know what I'm saying? You're actually preparing for something that you know is live, it's live. And in 100 million plus guarantee people are watching. - I think we're desensitized to numbers because you see a tweet or an Instagram reel or a TikTok, do 50 million views on 100 million views. So I think that like the idea of reaching the world means less now to this generation than it did to pass. - The $10 million doesn't mean anything to anybody anymore. - I mean, it means something to me. - I don't know, y'all gotta stop this shit. - It means something to me. - Chris, you sound like all of the freaking financial gurus on social media. A million dollars and a million dollars and a more. Says who? - Give me a million dollars, I'll show you. - I'm gonna hold that million dollars. - Don me up for that too, please. - But I get what you're saying. - Yeah, it's like, right. - There's an inflation to how available things are. - Right, well, whatever, I'll save it. - Good event the other night though. - With John. - At the book signing. - Oh yeah, yeah, yes. - Very, I didn't know what to expect from him, very. - He's a Sheppel sketch. - But like a personable guy. - Little John is the Sheppel sketch. - Really? - Because you, especially back then you see, and that's what he said. He said that, uh, so to my guy, uh, Cory, you know, Cory, new John and you know, Cory is a damn guy. So Cory knew how John really was and used to tell Dave that, you know. But if you be like, you mean John, John is all in the mindfulness. He's in the mental health. He's in the meditation, you know. He's into emotional well-being. He works out all the time. Like he's a very intelligent guy. That's why I love about his book because John is a person that you can never put in a box. But also he never looks like he's trying too hard to do something. Like he looks just as effortless doing EDM music. - Because he does. - Doing crunk or yoga. - Or yoga. It's like everything. It's like, it's like, it's like this is little John's world and we're all just living it. - That's what happens when you're passionate about some shit. - That's what happens when you're passionate about some. - We believe you. - You're right. - You're absolutely right. Um, what else we got to tell the gang? - Dream. - Drake turned 40. - Oh yeah. - Hey, all you Drake fans, how does it feel when you're a favorite rapper starts to get older? Okay. - Okay, so he's making fun of this picture. That picture there was so fucking great. - He got to be trolling, man. - Well, I can see that. - He's got to be trolling though. - He looked like he headed to the studio to make the sassyest country music song of all fucking time. Okay? Like he, it's like he dressed like that and then goes to ride a mechanical bull and then goes in the motherfucking studio, the fucking record, the sassyest country tune of all time. But you know what I did like about his birthday party? He only had his people there. - That's cool. - And like his super fans that like ride for him. Like he invited Eli, our digital guy. - Oh, that's cool. - Eli's name is OVO Eli on social media. - That is cool. - You know? - That is really cool. - And he, that was probably, that probably meant a lot to Eli. - What? - Yeah. - For example, Eli is one of the nicest people you're ever born. You would think he's from Canada. You know how you meet certain people and they're just like, like he's just a nice, nice, nice old guy. - Yeah. - Not how Canadian's man. - Yeah. - Fantastic people, man. You really are. - What else we got? But seriously, your favorite rappers getting older. I just want y'all to know so far gone. It'll be 30 soon, at least 20. It'll be 20 in 2009. So when he does this 20 year anniversary for so far gone, I don't want to hear shit. Okay, when he's 43, right? And y'all 40, he's 43. And y'all 40. - If you're lucky. - If you're lucky, that's right. - If you're lucky. - The thing is, Drake hasn't stopped making music though. - I think you made a, I think that is a, now also how old is Jay-Z 57? - Yeah. - 57. It's like, yes, he hasn't. But also Jay's significant leo. - Drake has kind of stopped making music. - He just put out three out. - He just asked me what he's talking about. - You've been saying anything, huh? I was believing everything you said. - What? - You can't say that. - You just say shit. And you only have to think about it. - Name three songs off those three projects. - He just came out with. - Homeless, Boba Good News, name three songs. - Janish. - Shut the fuck up Janish. - Yeah, yeah. I knew y'all was gonna say that one, what else? - I didn't listen to that one. - It was crazy, right? That's kind of crazy. - How bifty. - Yeah, you had to think about that one. - Yeah. - Midnight Ryder. - I didn't know if that's on it, I don't know. That's what you did when you be on the mechanical board. - Duplex and Sierra. I don't know that one either. - Give me a hug. - Give me a hug. - That's not what it's about. That one's on it. - That's not what I'm saying. - Shut the fuck up, I'm saying. - That's Janish. - Janish. - Hey, man. - Hey, I do y'all even better. Name two songs off Jay Cole's album. - Oh, I know that. - Yo, stop. - Rod and foot and hard and dry. (both laughing) - Fantastic. - But it don't matter, Jay Cole's out here selling out arenas. - Yeah. - He went on tour this year. His fans fucked with it. That's all that matters. The people that have fucked with you. - It really is all that matters. - That's all that matters. Fuck with the people that have fucked with you. And the people that don't fuck with you. Cool. Keep talking about me on social media. The algorithm don't know the difference. Don't, and don't. - It's on a beach, Sabang. - I don't know what that means. - What else is there? - The other gang. - I want to sing the one song and one song only. - Say what? - Oh, he clicked in Trump and it was crazy. - Yeah, when he said the Nicki thing, I don't know what's going on. - What happened to what happened? - Clicked in, you know what the fuck happened. - This was crazy. - It was crazy. - Like, you don't know what the-- - By the way, I looked at one hell of a beautiful (beep) before Nicki and I said, (crowd cheering) - It's crazy when they believe it because that's hard to miss. - They shut the fuck up. - It's crazy when they believe it. - Like, you don't know what's going on. - That's hard to miss. (crowd cheering) - It was crazy when they believe it, right? Like, just put the real word in. 'Cause you brain goes somewhere. Okay, I'm gonna get back to my sorry, Nick. I hope that he wasn't insulted, but we love Nicki. She's been with us. - Here's the thing that fits me off about this, man. Nicki Minaj has fought her whole career. - To be perceived in certain ways. - Exactly. - She's a boss, you know, queen of rap, you know, business woman, all of these. She's got all of these different accomplishments. - Wildly talented. - Wildly talented. - Wildly talented. - And all Trump seasons her ass. One of your number one supporters, you would think that you would know more about one of your number one supporters. - He said later, he's like, "My end of kinda don't want nothing to go on." - You know what I'm saying? - He said, "I'm dead." - I heard him. You see what the fuck I'm saying, yo? That, yo, yo, all these accomplishments and all he sees is your ass, yo. That's crazy. And Nicki wouldn't expect, she wouldn't accept that from a black record executive. - Exactly. - Let Nicki walk in a room in a black record. You're like, "Yo, Nicki stand up, yo, you got a fat ass." Let everybody see your ass, Nicki. - I mean, yo, while the fuck up. - What's not the plan for getting implants anyway for people to see? - Oh, gosh. - You know what, I'm not standing up for that. - Yeah, yeah. - It's like it don't even make no sense. - Hey, it don't even make no sense. You see what the fuck I'm saying? I see it easily. Like women, you see I try, right? I see you see I try. But then, you know, your representative is in here. She's just-- - So all the men is beautiful, so literally, tell them they take the breath in the middle of the beautiful speech. - And then-- - And then-- (laughing) - That was like the time she did that. I said, "Beyoncé, do nine to five." She said, "Molly Cyrus." You know what I'm saying? - Hey, that was crazy. - I said, "He shouldn't be a body shaming, Nicki." She was like, "No, she did it. She got the shots." That's what she was supposed to get. - That was crazy. - You hit her with the what are you wearing? - Body celebrating. - Body celebrating. - She's a great wife. - Who? - Nicki, 'cause she's doing what she gotta do to try to get her husband apart. - Why are you thinking she's down? - Oh, she tried to take care of her man. - Yep. - You think it's for him? - Oh yeah. - Basically-- - I don't know, I don't know. - Is this charge even a federal charge? - Well, we'll know in-- - Well, you know the other thing is she's not a U.S. citizen either. - Exactly, that's what I'm saying. Why do you think it's for-- - She got a green card. - I feel like she could have got one at him, man. Like, that's, I don't know. A lot of people have done a lot less than Nicki to have green cards. - But not if I need you. - Oh. - You don't understand what I'm saying. - We gonna milk this for you. - Yeah. - That's all I'm saying. - That's crazy that she has to do that. - What else we got to say again? - Um, these-- - How the bar's gonna be all in my mentions. But guess what? - I don't wanna give a fuck. (laughing) - Ain't that she got a suck? That's she got a suck when you be all in a person, mentions talking crazy, and they continue to prosper. - I don't know. This is, if he puts some stuff on here. I don't know. - Oh, if he, F-A. - F-A. - What is this? - I don't know what he played. And I guess he said the code. - The G-C. - Yeah, okay. So, that's all I'm going on, X, 'cause I don't know what the fuck that was. That's it. All I saw was J-Z, Little Mama, and Alicia Keith. But it was something new. - So here's something. - What's this right here? - He says, it's a new water bottle. I gotta try it, man. - Man, come off, man. - What the fuck, that's not real Taylor. - I didn't put this. - You gotta know, look. - I have. - See, I don't like shit like that, man. 'Cause if you wanna suck a dig, just go suck it. - There you go. - Like, don't buy things that are like, um, remember that gum, you know that nicotine gum, people chew when they really want to smoke a cigarette, 'cause they got a world of addiction. - You're saying just smoke. - No, go suck a dig. That bottle, that water bottle was like, that was the suck in the dig motion, right? - Is that what you got out of that? - You can't see that. What the fuck did you think he was doing? - I thought he was thirsty. - No, no, no, not doing the water bottle. - No, no, no, that was crazy for no reason. That was like, wow, like, you didn't see, you didn't see what the fuck he was doing. - It did look like he was aggressively drinking that water. - You see what I'm saying? For no fucking reason. - You all been there when a girl sucking on it, it's not hard. - Well, you know what I mean? Like, we all been there before. You doing that shit, you shit just plopping around. - You are a mad man. - If you let a woman suck on a plastic dig, you are a mad man. - Sometimes you think that they could unflacid it. - Yeah, but don't even, you can't do that. I don't ever do that to a woman. - No, it does hurt there so much pain, right? And you don't suck gummy worms. - But they do. - You bite them shit. - They do, man. - You do suck gummy worms. - Wait, what? - Suck gummy worms? - See, they like it, man. - They want to know that they got it hard. They want to know it's on them. - It's a sour gummy worm. - Yeah. - I'm not, I listen, I got out pee, man. Respect to pee, I'm not even responding to this pee, but just no pee, just no, she's saying crazy shit. - I'm not saying anything. - I'm really talking like candy. - I know you're talking about candy, but we're not even gonna make jokes about it 'cause we got so much respect. - And I wish, and I wish that you wouldn't disrespect pee in that way. - I wouldn't like do it, man. - I do, man. - I mean, pee, talk to her. That was crazy just now. - Baby, we love you, pee. - That's right, just 'cause y'all talking about dicks, does not mean that I was. - Throw away any bags and sour gummy worms that she got in the fucking house, all right? Disrespecting that man like that. Shout out to a big "E," okay? What's wrong with you? - I can't wait 'til y'all win, yo. I got a speech plan. - Oh, I just freaked out. - Yeah. (laughs) - You got a speech plan? - You got a letter, you got a letter, just from the heart. - I just, let it go from the heart. - Two shots of tequila and go up there, start singing the half a bit, and I'm gonna go, A, B, C, B, E, F, G, H, I, J, K, L, M, N, O, P, A. - Have the whole crowd just say pee. And then I'm just gonna go off on a wedding speech, full of P words. (laughs) Okay, all right, all right? To let you know that nothing in your life will ever go right without pee. - Thanks, okay? Big pee, little pee, it's all pee. Your life is pee tail again. Okay. - Even when, even when pee's not there, it is. (laughs) - 'Cause that's bad thing or something? - No, I was trying to say that. - 'Cause I think I'm pee. - What is that? - I'm just saying, like, he's always present even when you don't notice him. - It is the funniest person in my life, man. - He's always throwing fucking drugs, man. (laughs) - Tell him, "You be high as shit." Don't you think? - I'm not high. - Don't wait, I don't want to be with you at all times. - I'm not high, I have nothing. - Don't you think pee is with you at all times? - That's why I was, so in my head, I'm thinking like, oh, like if I have to go to the bathroom, like I got a pee show. - I'm thinking like pneumonia or teradactyl. - That's what I'm just saying. - That's fine. I like that, you know. Think about me every time you gotta go pee. - I gotta pee. - Go! - Everything, I like that. - That's fine. - You're right there, yo. - Anyways. - Damn. What else have you gotten there, little gang gang? - I thought this was interesting. This MJ impersonators are making money. Look how these people are going crazy over-- - I don't think you're making money. (audience cheering) - Look, it was for him. - I have a theory about MJ impersonators. (audience cheering) - Look. - I have a theory about it. - I feel like that. - All right, go. - And the Michael movie is the blame. - You think it is? - Jumped it up again? - The Michael movie came out and you have a whole generation of retarded-- people who don't know Michael Jackson's even dead. - You think you don't know anything? - They won't even know 'til the next movie. They won't even find out until it's on the box office screen. - They're gonna be looking and they're gonna be like, oh shit, I didn't know he died. You mean to tell me he died? - Like passionate of the Christ. - I'm trying to tell you, yo, there's a whole generation of people who have no idea that Michael Jackson is not here. - That's crazy. - I'm telling you, by the way, nobody has to do testin' time like Michael Jackson. And Michael's kids love Michael Jackson then. - Yeah. - My kids will be in the kitchen for no reason. They'll put their hand on this and start doin' the move up. I mean, the movie had a lot to do with it, but even without it, you put the music on it cuts through. - I think we like people who are loved. - Like people. - But sometimes we don't like people who are loved specifically because they're loved. - Yes, but I think that people that appreciate greatness when they see how beloved a great person can be it actually amplifies the greatness in you. - I think if they're dead. - Let's fucked up, they gotta die, yo. I'm not goin' for that. - But you're right, but that's fucked up. - But once someone dies, don't you feel like even the haters can come around and appreciate their greatness, but while they're alive and thriving, it's gotta be that. - It's so dark. - No, no, no, no, no, no. - No, no, think that's lame. - It is lame, bro. - People are lame, though. - Like love somebody when they're alive, man. Respect their greatness when they're still here, bro. Like god damn. Michael got crucified the last year's his life. And still in death now, they still trying to crucify. Yo, I'm telling you, they still, they think Michael's alive, bro. - They might. - I promise you they think that's really Michael Jackson. - They might. - There's no way for them to be acting like this. I wouldn't like a jack in the front plate. That's ridiculous, yo. Is this real? - Yes. - Nah, there's gotta be more to this story. There's no way they're just acting like this for no reason. He's got security and shit. - Who is that, yo? (laughing) - Should I need like a suit, like Chris Brown doesn't mind just the following? - Rico, MJ, and Bucket, so in Atlanta, there. - That's crazy. What else we got to tell again, gang? - One, people are talking a lot about this pastor. - And I think it's different. I think I'm looking at it different, I guess. I don't think he intended. - Cleveland pastor introduces husband's second wife to life work's church congregation. - It's how she did it. It seemed like she was trying to be smart. - What did that mean, Cleveland pastor introduces? - Yeah, it's exactly what you'll see. - He saw this? - Yeah, this is a little. - Never seen it. - He has the second wife. Y'all know her. - Look at her nervous he looks like. - Y'all benefit from her. - You see her in the street everywhere? - You did ask, right? - And so I just want to take this-- - Look at this, it's the pleasure of mine to introduce to y'all practice wife and my sister in marriage, Minister Shekayla. - Minister Shekayla. - It's like this, get in the way. (audience cheering) - That's out the bag. Elephants in the room. - First, I want to just give honor to God, who is leading us and guiding us and then. - Me and Shekayla, it'll be, I think it's like a one more week. A one more week, it'll be three years, we've been married. One more week, three years. (audience cheering) - Didn't he say that the Bible says you both have more than one wife? - Where? - I'm not with that, you know what I'm saying? I'm cool. - I would think it will cause more chaos. - I don't, and would you want another wife? - One is a lot, man. - That's what I think, like, he isn't one enough. - Like, I, yeah. No, you don't want more than one wife. - You don't want more than one wife, and especially when you got kids. Because that's really, like, your family unit is literally everything that you're invested in. You're invested into your wife. You're invested into your children. There's no need to bring another wife into the equation. And then, you know, there's like, and listen, I think about it sometime, right? Just not because I want to do it, but you just think about it, like, what would that even look like? - You think about having another wife? Or you think about having, like, a little side. - But whenever I-- - There's two different things. - Having a side is crazy, bro. What is your problem? - I'm asking you to-- - You need to go to church. I'm asking you. - No, man. - What you think? - I'm not, I'm thinking, whenever I hear about polygamy and Polynesian sauce, the first thing I think to myself is that-- - Is having a little side of chicken? - No, it's just too, I'm not going to share it. - What do you want to share it to? - This is the Polynesian sauce. - This would be too much. And it's just like, there's no way the second wife could be equal to your first wife. - Yeah. - Who says she got to be equal? - Yeah. - You just treated like a straight new employee. - Well, there's something you and your parents, it's not something for you. - I would never do it. It's not for me. I can't even, you know what? I can't even wrap my mind around. Alex, what about you? - No comment. - Taylor, could you have a sister wife? - Absolutely not, no. - Not at all? - No. - I think Pete deserves it. - He might deserve it. - That plain with me. - No, no, no, no, no. - Okay, what do I do? - No, only because, listen. - It's Pete. - I saw what he did to you and you were a mess. - Another girl who deserves it, when you-- - I'm not a mess. - Yeah, you see what I'm saying? - Another girl deserves what you got. - That upgrades. - He's one of these people, Pete. I swear, you're one of these people when I see your renovations. I'm like, there's no way you can only, you can do this in one house. - Bro. - You got to take this on the road. - You're out of control. - You got to take it. - All right, selfish. That's selfish of you. - Never mind. - Seriously. - It's a little bit selfish for you to have that one. - Taylor, think about how much of a mess you were, yo. - Not a mess, actually, at all. I was good. - No, you're amazing, obviously. But like, now the way you glow, the way you shine, you're gonna walk in a room, you'll absolutely shut it down. The hilarious clips you have in your podcast. - Yeah. - You increased by 100%. - You didn't have this when you was a pillow princess, and you can't spell pillow or princess without Pete. But you didn't have that then. When you were going to your home commons, you had your Hampton. Running in the people. You didn't. - And he's so messy now. - It was different. She wasn't even happy. It's like I was human, man. She knew she wasn't supposed to be down there at hand on coming with them. But now, all came fucked you. - He capital, I don't know when I walked up to him. - As you should. - Yeah, God liked that. Why would he be interested in you? - Christ of all. - Christ of all. - He asked about clearly who was. - He would have missed you. - He clearly was, if he wanted to put a baby in me. - I mean, listen, God works in mysterious ways. All I'm saying is He wasn't looking for you with what I'm saying. Like God gave you what you needed. - Yeah. - You know what I mean? - I'm just telling, shout out to Pete. - Shout out to Pete. - What else we got, man? (laughing) - Thank you, Liz, yeah. - Y'all wanna talk about the three-year-old that had the cops called on him for being good? - I really don't. That was too crazy of a story. And I don't understand humans. I really don't understand humans. Yo, you're a three-year-old soccer player. You're so good that you're playing against the five-year-olds. And the parents get mad and call the police on him 'cause he's stuck up to balls. - But you heard the poster, the director. It sounded like he felt pressured that, I guess. - No, if it's me and two kids, I don't wanna see any. - It's not, no, it's fine, it's fine. - It's just like, what are we teaching kids? Like you're literally, you're raising a generation of haters because instead of competing, they would rather complain. Instead of rising to the occasion when you see somebody that's out there as good as this little kid is, they grow resentment for that. - That kid is three years old? Three years old, they see the soccer phenom. - Nah, call the police brother. - Shut up. - You can barely walk at three. This kid is unbelievable. - This kid is a five-year-old. - That kid is a five-year-old. He's not a five-year-old. - Look at him. - Nah. - He's not a five-year-old smoky shit, yo. - Nah, that's crazy. - Yeah, there's something else. - You gotta sign that kid. It don't call a police called Barça. That shit is unbelievable. - Unbelievable, at three-year-old, man. - There's other videos of him, like really going hard. - I believe you. - I'm the name of the Vada. - Vada. - I believe you, man. - All right, well, soccer. - What else we got? - I don't know, that was really you. - Let's do some asking idiots, man. - Idiots. - Tell a gang. Oh, the fitness ones said if a comedian had to go up in the Super Bowl, who would it be? Now, this would be interesting. This is actually not a bad idea. Who says that the Super Bowl halftime show always has to be music? Why couldn't the comedian go up there and do a hot 15 minutes? - This should be music, but I'm trying to think who could feel it? - I mean, the obvious choice if they ever did that. The first person out of the gate would have to be Dave Chappelle. - He's gonna make people feel the way he said it. - He would have to be the first person out of the gate. - And kind of like a family day, I don't think. - Yo, yo, yo, yo. Rock Nation changed all that, baby. Okay. You can still work it. - Your drain snooking go up there. It's like, I'm trying to think what would be the. - John Stewart. - Yeah. - It's like too political. It's like you want it to be. - Chappelle. - Yeah. - Gabby S isn't SNL. - I mean, whoever did it would write a set, specifically for the Super Bowl. - He gotta be. What's the Italian guy? - Sebastian is Galco's like Super Bowl. - Sebastian will be fired. - Like Joe Koei. - And he's big enough though. - Well, Fluffy and the Joe Koei did so fire. - It's Sebastian big enough? - Sebastian's big, man. You know, he's big. - What is this? - Super Bowl halftime show, baby. - Like, would they all know? That's the question. Is there a man like you nights the whole bird? - Bird is because he could kind of like, craft it around football there. - Bird would be phenomenal. - And bird is really good at stuff like that. He's very good at you giving him a topic and he'll go out to end rock. - Go ahead. - I'm yet to pedal, but I still got Jostoo. I think Jostoo will be dope. - Yeah. - You know. Jostoo could almost go out there and do a daily show monologue. He does that now and probably kill for 15 minutes. - I'm thinking there might be somebody who, I think you have to bridge it. Like you would almost have to find like a musical comedic act, you know, like some who could do. - Damien Fox. Like a Jamie Fox, impressions are really good and impressions kind of like little are like easy for people to pay attention to and easy for people to kind of connect to and like. - What they did in 1987. - What they have? - Any more burns? - Who? - The George Burns, one of the most famous comedians of his day, easily, and the grandling state marching band. - That's the one you're talking about, the comedy? - I don't know what else he would have done. - Oh wow. - You had to cut it. - I don't really have any aspirations to do the halftime show. - If there was something that I was like, okay, I really want to do it. I have a set that's curated for this moment. But to me, the point of this is like, I think you want big. I think you want. - Chipel. - Excitement. - Chipel, the one that would get everybody talking. Like, have you had to kick the door now? - You would get people talking? I just don't know if it's the. To me, I want to like have fun and that's the great thing about music is it's fun and exciting and big and happy and positive. - Well, it's any pops out? - Even better. - You know what I'm saying, even better. - Oh, congratulations, too, man. - What happened? - I read that all in the cast of Street Fighter signed off for a trilogy. - That is true. - Yeah, that's what it is. - Yeah, that's true. - Yeah, that's true. - I thought that I wanted to train. - Now, that's what happens when you do a movie that's potentially a franchise. They always sign you up for multiple in the event that you get there. - Yeah, do you see that? I mean, you're gonna get there. - Let's hope, let's hope, let's hope, keep on going to see Street Fighter. - What else we got, Taylor Gang? Taylor Gang, do you have any childhood experiences that you miss that don't feel the same as an adult? Ooh, man, I'm gonna tell you something, man. I was home this past weekend because I went home in the most corner of South Carolina and I flew in on Friday to meet my wife, three of my daughters, my mother's in college. And I stayed at my mother's house and slept in my old room and I haven't done that in a while. Oh, my God, that shit fell so good, yo. And all I kept thinking was, man, you know, I've been in this room and I've been visited by spirits. - You ever bought your mom a new house since you were a kid? - My mom got a nice house, you got a nice ranch house. - But you kept talking about you're in a double wide, yo, like. - Yeah, and then my dad built my mom a ranch style house. It wasn't in a double wide, I grew up in a single wide trail. And then my mom, my dad built my mom and this ranch style house, this beautiful. I mean, I've added onto it, but it's like, it's a nice crib. - Make sure. - Yeah, it's a nice crib. But I slept in that room, man, and it was, man, it was so amazing, yo. - Why? - Because I got visited. - Oh, God, here we go. - Next question. (laughing) - See, that's what I want you to talk about. See, after you bought my childhood experiences, and I got a business deal, yo. - By the Jerry Crowe? - No, I was sleeping, I was sleeping. And I was knocked down, I'm talking about, this was like rims sleep to the fullest. And the whole time, I was having a dream of a triangular shaped spaceship hovering over. It was hovering, I felt like it was hovering over me, but clearly it was just hovering over the house. - Mm. - And it just was dope. - You was in my dream the other night. - What happened? - I was, like, we were trapped in the house, but you were still. - No, you kept, trapped has two piece. (laughing) - But you were like oblivious to it. Like, you had your security with you, but you were just talking to like. - That wouldn't give a fuck about being trapped. (laughing) - But it was just a dream. (laughing) - So I don't have to go outside. (laughing) - Lovely. - But he was just chilling in like, everyone, like me and my friends were like, no, we can't get out. Like they had us hostage, and you were just. - Who had us hostage? - I don't know, these people grabbed us. - And clearly I wasn't on it. - Yeah, that makes sense. - No, it's black, like rappers or something. I don't, I think I was on P Valley, I think like some of the edges and they were in it. - Oh, you can't know, rappers, rappers got two piece. P Valley got a P, okay. - One more, and then we got a guy here. But the other thing, I stayed in my house and then drove the South Carolina State Homecoming, and then I went to go watch South Carolina play Tennessee. And it was like the best experience ever, yo. 'Cause it all started because I stayed at my mom's house that night, woke up. She made breakfast like that shit fell. - Wow, that's challenging. - Oh my God, man. Oh my God. - There's a beautiful movie by Woody Allen called Midnight in Paris. And it's, it's started Owen Wilson. And who, what is her name? Anyway, a bunch of people, but it's amazing. And it's just about living in the past and why we romanticize the past and why we oftentimes think we're born in the wrong generation and it helps us deal with the unsettling nature of the present. But we always have this like love affair with the past and we do it musically, we do it with TV shows, we do it movies, we do it with all types of art. - 'Cause life was so simple back then, man. - It's always been so simple back. - Whenever you get like that turn on, Wu Tain Clan can't be all so simple. - Ooh. - And just revel in that moment of whatever that simplicity is. That's literally what it is. Life used to be very, very simple. I don't think it's that complicated now. We just adults. - We are. - But it comes with a lot more responsibility adults. - Absolutely, but that's why it was simple back then. We didn't have that responsibility. All we had was us. All we had to do was grow up a lot more time, try my day and always say youth. Why is it wasted on the young? Damn. What do you have with the dead too? - My dad, you have to be something. - He's (beep) - Oh my gosh. (laughing) (laughing) - Oh boy. (laughing) - As always, if you listen to this podcast, you think we're smart, you think we're intelligent, you think we're brave, you're absolutely right. But if you listen to the podcast, I think we're just a couple of idiots. You're right, too. If you listen to the podcast, thank you for listening. - Hey. - It's jokes. - Guys. - Hey. - Jokes. - I know.
