healing breathwork - for emotional release and gentle integration
15m 1s
This breath work session is designed to promote deep relaxation, self-awareness, and bodily connection through a structured sequence of conscious breathing. Participants begin by lying down in a comfortable position and gently observing their natural breath, focusing on diaphragmatic expansion into the abdomen and chest. The practice includes controlled inhalations through the nose and exhalations through the mouth, with emphasis on active in-breaths and passive out-breaths. Following this, two breath holds are introduced: the first involves exhaling completely and holding for 30 seconds while relaxing the body, followed by a second hold with full lung capacity. A coherence breath technique is then practiced, synchronizing breath rhythm with tonal patterns to enhance bodily harmony. As the session progresses, breathing slows and deepens, with participants breathing in ultra-slow motion through the nose. The process ends with full surrender to the breath, allowing the body to fully relax. After the session, participants are gently guided to re-engage with their physical sensations, reflect on shifts in awareness, and return to a seated position at their own pace. The session emphasizes safety, especially for those with medical conditions, and encourages gratitude, presence, and self-trust throughout. It concludes with a peaceful invitation to continue living in alignment with one’s inner state.
Welcome to this healing and breath work session. Today, we will alternate the breath, breathing you through the nose and mouth with breath holds. When you breathe, make sure to expand the diaphragm, breathing into the belly first, then the chest, like a double inhale. Surrender and relax on each exhale. Ah! An inhale only through the nose. If you are pregnant or have any known heart or brain conditions, please ask your doctor before practicing this type of breath work. Lay down comfortably with headphones and eye mask for best effect. Begin by just relaxing the body completely, observing the breath. Just relaxing your body fully, finding a comfortable position, laying down, just observing how you're feeling in this moment. Now begin breathing with conscious control. Continue breathing without stops, breathing in through your nose, and exhaling out through the mouth with a nice sigh. Deep breath filling the belly, and exhaling through the mouth. Continuing the breath and the flow of your breath, breathing in and out. Continue breathing like this for about two more minutes. Feel your breath, feel your lungs expanding as you continue breathing in. Feeling the chest to the top, and exhaling through the mouth. Signing the air out and relaxing your body. Each breath in is active, and each breath out is passive. So continue to breathe without stops. Observing any sensations that may arise, it's normal to feel your arms, your legs, numbing out, feeling a bit tingly. Any physical sensations that arise here are normal and okay. Continue to breathe as we now prepare for our first breath hold for today. Breathe in for three, two, one, and exhale all the air out, sign out all the air, holding the breath for 30 seconds here. Continue to hold, relaxing your shoulders, and your neck, and your entire body. As we breathe in, in five, four, three, two, one, take a deep breath to the top. Hold the breath. Continue to hold for as long as you can, or until I guide you to let go. Hold the breath for three, two, one, and exhale all the air out through the mouth. And now breathe in through the nose again, filling your whole upper body, exhaling through the mouth. As you continue this circular conscious connected breath. Continue breathing in this fresh air without stops filling your entire upper body with air. And if you notice any thoughts arising, it's okay. Just bring your consciousness and awareness back to the body and to the breath. If you feel any other sensations such as light-headedness, any tensions in your body, breathe through this too and know that you are safe. Continue to bring your consciousness back to the breath. And continue letting go, exhaling with a trusting surrender, releasing any control of the mind. Allow the mind to let go on each exhale that you take. Continue breathing in through the nose and out through the mouth as we now prepare for the second breath hold for today. Continue to breathe for three, two, one, exhaling all the air and hold without air in your lungs. So exhale, hold the breath, relaxing your body. Continue to hold for three, two, one, breathing in a full breath to the top. And hold the breath on full lungs. Hold your breath and relax your shoulders, your neck and your whole body, trusting that you have enough oxygen in your system. Continue holding for three, two, one, exhaling all the air out to the bottom. Now we will breathe in through the nose and out through the nose. This breath is called coherence breath. We will match the breath in with the high tone and match the breath out with the low tone. So continue breathing in slowly through the nose and slowly down out through the nose. Continue to breathe without stops. Continue to breathe focusing back on the belly and chest expanding here. And if you notice your mind wandering away, just bring your consciousness and awareness back to the breath. Continue breathing without stops and circular formation. So feel your whole body breathing with conscious control. Always consciously controlling the breath.
Beautiful work, we will continue to breathe like this for about one more minute. Let go of any stuck tension in the body, relaxing the body on the exhale, feeling deeper into the breath and into the lungs, expanding your lungs, feeling your heart, trusting your breath, trusting your body, allowing yourself to connect deeper with yourself, with each breath that you take, you come closer into your center, your true being. Allow the breath to guide away as we now enter the final phase for today, where we will continue to breathe through the nose, but now we breathe as lowly as possible for about one more minute. We will continue breathing with conscious control through the nose, but in ultra slow motion. So continue the breath as deeply as possible and as slowly as possible, extending the length of the inhale and exhale with conscious control as slowly as you can. Beautiful work, we can now just relax your body, as you have finished the breath work for today, allow your body to just land by letting go of any control of the breath, relaxing you fully. Thank you for taking the time to connect with yourself today, reaching a peaceful state of presence, of just being. Give yourself this moment to connect with this gratitude for yourself, slowly you can start to very carefully move your toes and fingers, bringing your body slowly back to life, as soon as you feel yourself coming back to your body, stay with your body. Serve how you're feeling in your body. How is your heart, how is your breath? Notice what has shifted after these minutes together. Give yourself a nice stretch, wake yourself back up to life. Training your body, thanking yourself again, slowly you can come back up to a seated position whenever you feel ready. Thank you so much for taking the time and for your trust, I wish you a beautiful, continued rest of your day, Namaste.
