The discussion centers on the term "palette" for a sleepover sleeping area, sparking debate about its origin and validity. While some believe it's a regional term from Alabama, others dismiss it as incoherent or culturally irrelevant, noting it doesn't align with common language use in areas like Texas or the Midwest. The group emphasizes regional and generational differences in vocabulary, with participants reflecting on how childhood traditions—like setting up a sleep area on the floor—are described differently across cultures. The conversation also touches on broader themes of language evolution, regional identity, and cultural memory, underscoring that everyday terms often emerge from specific communities and may not be widely recognized or accepted. Other topics include self-driving cars, retro technology like 1980s car phone lines, and viral puzzle challenges like Mr. Beast’s million-dollar mystery. These segments reflect a mix of cultural observation and personal anecdotes, showing how shared experiences are interpreted through regional and generational lenses. The tone is lighthearted and self-deprecating, with participants expressing confusion or humor over linguistic inconsistencies. Ultimately, the conversation illustrates how common experiences are shaped by local language and cultural context, and that even simple terms can spark meaningful discussion about identity and belonging.
Oh, Patricia asked me a question last night and I'm just going to put it out to the group. And if you know it, if you know it, keep it to yourself and then we'll get to you. But if you don't know, it take a stab at it. All right, we're going to ask me, let's say you're at a slumber party. A little sleepover as a kid. And when you are like setting up the area of where you're going to sleep at the party, what is that called? Wait, uh, setting up this area to sleep like on the floor on the floor. Like in a hotel, like if there's not enough room in a, I'm just saying that's I think the most where I've ever slept on the floor is in a hotel when there's not enough. Or you could be with your cousins family vacation. It's the area where you're putting down your pillow and your blankets on the floor. You are setting up a, what is that area? That's what I said. I know my area. I caught and I also said that too. But like the words that come out of my mouth or anyone's mouth that I've ever heard is, oh, don't worry, I'll just sleep on the floor. Okay, right. That's like the only way with me. I don't have a terminology for this. But then Patricia's like, how can you be from the south and you don't know that it's called this? There's a, there's a technical name for it. There's a technical name. Well, a cultural name, I guess you could say for the technical name. Maybe an Alabama. Like, well, like make, make shift bed. Well, we will say it. Jared, nothing comes up for you in terms of what you call this area. No, the only, I've never called it anything. The only thing I can think of is a fort. Okay, so some people in the comments when she posted this TikTok were saying fort. Yeah. Now, this is what Patricia says. It's called a palette. A palette and everyone, so okay, so you, but also you guys have never heard anybody use that terminology. I never know. Okay, so when my head, when I heard that, I go, okay, yes, sure, but like I didn't grow up saying that. But a lot of people in the comments are just like, it's like give it, it's like giving fetch for me and girls. Like, it does not hit at all. I don't know who came up with that word. And maybe it was a thing in Alabama, but it just like doesn't make it like to me the word. I know caught is already a word, which is like the, it's more military, but yeah, there's something about the word caught that makes it feel so like. Well, because yeah, I think what I think would, yeah, it's like storage pallets or a palette of, of like when you order something in a palette, yes, that's the, it's the, the amount that you're getting. It just doesn't match with the palette of the area of which you're sleeping at. So, um, okay, good to know that I'm not alone. But I think, and I just want to say for the people, yeah, I'm from Texas, I think it's because I had a Midwestern mother and I don't think they say that much in the Midwest. And a lot of kids in Dallas have Midwestern mothers because in the 80s, that's just suburbia for you. We didn't grow up with calling it a damn palette. I'm willing to bet you that that's the only word that's ever been come up with for something like that. There has not been any other word. And I think that word palette is in such a small region of this world, because it just doesn't need a name. Right. It's like a, you know, people call them gym shoes, tennis shoes. There's all these different names for different things, but good to know I'm not alone. I don't know. I think we should cancel Patricia for that. I guess so. Call it a damn palette. We don't call them palettes anymore. We called them, uh, sleeping a range man. I've also never been a fan of sneaker sneaker. I hear you on that sneaker. I call them tennis shoes, but like, I call every shoes shoes or shoes or dress shoes. That's it. Just like non by Mary, Mary, yes, fluid or if they're not shoes or dress shoes, they're sandals or flip flops. I'll go back and forth. A flip. A flip flop is a thong though, but the flip flops got a flip and flop. Yes. I love flip flops. I used to lie to wear them to school. I haven't worn flip flops since I was 12. I know. I know I do. I, I wore flip flops to high school because like it was like the scene. It was the scene. But go on. So there's a scene. Kid Jeffrey riot. I would dress like that. He'd wear a holster hoodie and flip flops because he was going, you, you know, you dressed preppy as like, like, I, like, I, like, I remember. Yes. So I, so I literally the first day I saw him, I was like, I want to, that's going to be my personality. So I wore camo pants and flip flops and wasn't even that cool. I don't know. I think it was just like, he was a taste maker. Yeah. It was just a cool trend setter. And you know what it was crazy to like, I noticed that he was friends with all like the hot girls. So my head was like, that's how this is how like you start talking to hot girls in high school. You got to dress. Oh, yes. Did you ever have like a jacked scene kid, like a scene kid, but with like a fit body, like a scene kid, you can kick your ass. Oh, there was one guy in my school where you were like, damn, like he's, he's committing to the look. Yeah. But he could also kick anyone's ass who could make fun of him for that look. Keith, is there somebody I'm missing? I don't remember any scene person, not that he was jacked, but he was just a big kid like huge with mopey. Mopey. Yeah. Mopey was just like, all big shut up to mopey. Everybody was kind of scared of that kid. Like you don't want to fuck with his friend who was the, who was like the little, little like scene, like, kid, we talked about this. Yeah. It was mopey in cries. Damn, y'all had the whole seven dwarves in your school. It was literally like, what's that fucking book? It's called "Mison Men." Of "Mison Men." It's insane. It was such a perfect description, but like scene version like you shut up to your "Mison Men." Like reference. Shut up. They could have had a, like he genuinely, like hear me out. They could have had a whole show and I would have watched every season. I guess like a, like a, like a Robin big. Yeah. I think they could have been bigger than Robin big. Like I, I think they, like they could have taken over that space, that scene of the, of culture. I don't know. They were really doing something crazy. Dude, I, I want them here. Like I, I would love for them to be on, on this chair right now so we can interview them. Like, how the hell are we? Like, why did you, so why did you bully me? Yeah. Yeah, like weddings, like it's my, it's your, it's your ice, go free, get it, go. I've Rom and I drink. I just want to call out people who bullied me. Yeah. Remember when you called me that? Don't be, I'll never forget it. Don't be in your, sometimes I was at a wedding recently and I had to kind of like tone it down a little bit. Dude, there's this, there's this one guy that, um, actually I'm going to cut this out. I'm going to cut that out. Everything is fine. Everything's good. Everything's, I'm so scared of him. No, no, you know what? I need to calm down. Everything's fine. You can't love him. That's not fair. She made the, I need to calm down, I want to meet that girl. I feel like that girl's a, oh, version of me, I'm not a part of it. She is a riot. Yeah. I would love to have her on that. Yeah. I know that would be it. I would actually have a lot of fun if she was here. Oh, she's, we should have her here. I know we have, we have like maybe one guest a year, but I think she's worth having the guest. For sure. We can make it happen. People would love that. There's one episode. I'm good actually. We're going to actually politely decline that request. You all look like you have a lot of fun on that show. Should we hop into the intro or we can keep a lot of miss and fat? Mm. All right. You ready, Boogie? I'm kidding me. Oh, no. That happens. It happens and y'all be nice. We all get a little spillage on our shirt every now and then. I'm not going to lie. What's the last thing he needs? I normally work out after the podcast because, um, because of this, because what I'm about to explain to you, I, so I wake up, I take my medication, I take my, uh, I'm, you know what? I take something that like gives me, uh, energy. I shouldn't be saying this. It's okay. I shouldn't be doing this, but I do drink caffeine with, I'll drink like a specifically Celsius with it, uh, it gives me a really good boost energy and I have really good workouts. And after the last thing I should be doing is recording a podcast because my body is so like fucking jittery and amped up and like my brain just like, it's, and it's not, it doesn't work in the way that you would think it would work. It's actually the complete opposite. Like I'm not able to focus at all. And I'm, I'm just clumsy and everything and that is why I just dropped the whole water on my shirt. And you are forgiven. Thank you. And I, you know. Somebody get this man a straw. I wish I could forgive myself. That's crazy. That's just going to be there the whole fucking never. So like it's going to take literally an hour to dry, but at the time this episode's done, this will be dry. It's all good. It's fine. It's fine. Guys, it's fine. You know what? Okay. Let's run that intro. You know what? It's coffee time, baby. Coffee time, baby. Let's. I'm. Filtered. Welcome back to his any. He's unfiltered. I'm saying. I'm he. I'm Matt and I'm Jared. And we are here. We are here. We are present and we are thankful that you are here and breathing. Mm-hmm. That's important to you. Come to the oxygen. Just filled up with it. Absolutely. Get that O2. Matt. Absolutely. Absolutely. It's fine. We're good. There's something that I've been keeping up with and I just want to know if you guys are also on it too. The Kardashians. New season. No, there's this guy on TikTok. Oh my gosh, we're drawn up like on his name. It's like something, something mullet, mullet reviews or something like that. He's on like day 83, I think of going to a Chinese buffet every single day until he gets food poisoning. I know exactly. Mullet review. Oh boy. That's like his name. It's like handle. He has a mullet. He goes to different Chinese buffets until he gets food poisoning. Got that. I thought he's doing mullet reviews. Like he's finding the best mullet. There's a problem. That's probably out there as well. I'm sure. I'm sure. All right. Sorry. Continue.
Oh, saying here dude, seeing all of these different buffets and what the food looks like. Some of them you're like, Oh, I can't believe you're even eating this right now. Oh, my God. Everything's just like congealed over and terrible. Where's he? Where's he based? I don't know. I think he's based in my hometown. Cincinnati. You think so? I think so. This is just the R slash Cincinnati. And he's going to like really poorly rated like buffets. Yeah. All you can eat buffets. Okay. We got together like a map of all of the different Chinese buffets that he's hit. And this dude's traveling like he's getting around. He's going close to coast. I was doing well. Dude. They're crushing. Is he? He found out he's very informative. Is he very very dry, very just kind of bland like like the food he's eating. Yeah. Yeah. And I think he's going in there like pretty objective. He's like, Oh, this is not good or like this is actually good. Okay. Like there's some creators though who like go to places that are purposely bad and like, I don't know, kind of cause ruckus or like rude to even the servers and stuff. This guy's like pretty gentle about. Yes. He stays in his lane. Which I like. Did you see his first video? Like what made him want to stay on the route of Chinese buffet restaurants? Like what did he have a really bad experience once and then he was just like, you know what? I'm going to travel the world and I wouldn't say like all of them are Chinese buffets. He is going to like all different types of all you can eat buffets that are poorly rated. Okay. So it's all right. So I was like, Oh, damn, I wish we went to other buffets. He doesn't have to only do Chinese buffets, but I mean some of those Chinese buffets were they're giving you everything. Like you're getting spaghetti at the Chinese buffet. You're getting pizza at the Chinese buffet. Most buffets are like most buffets restaurants are Asian because that's just like the cool test. Yes. Yes. He should hit like a hotel buffets too. Like cheap hotel buffets. Yeah. That's like he has. He probably has. You know what? At this point, I don't think he's going to get food poisoning because his immune system is probably so strong. He is past the hill of like risk and is now probably going to mutate into having a super power. Like he's going to be able to go to like any different like country that has risky food and it wouldn't even affect him as well. I don't even think he'll ever get food poisoning because again, he is building up food. He will cure the next coronavirus because of his immune system, I think. Do you remember the place next to Home Depot? I think it was called China Buffet, the one like right by our house that shut down because they got raided and there was rats everywhere, apparently all the fact there was just rats everywhere. So they shut it down. You see that? And how the hell are they dealing with trademark? Because how has somebody not trademarked China buffet? Because look how many places you can literally force to switch like names up because they're all it's either China buffet, king China buffet, China, king, just some sort of different variation. Yeah. I don't know. Ethan, we're both in Texas at the same time. We're awesome. I saw that. I didn't even know because you said you were going to Austin. I did. I didn't even put the pieces together and then Matt text me like, you're in Austin right now, right? I'm like, yeah. He goes, so am I. Oh my God, we have to try to meet up like at some point, but we never ended up crossing past. But what was really crazy, the amount of people that came up to me and was like, I just ran into Matt. Yeah. That's crazy. It's crazy. So I checked. I checked your location for one of the times you are out there and you were literally right down the street from each other. You're probably maybe like six blocks away from each other and I can't believe that you kind of just like, I would have at least just driven by me like, yo, Matt come on side. And just like get that, get that quick exchange. He was at the race like most of the time and I was at the game and I was just running around with my friends. It was hard to make it happen though. We tried. We tried. But how was the race? Was it cool? Was it dope? Unbelievable. So you remember how I went to Le Mans, the 24 hour Le Mans race with Cadillac? Yep. It invited me to go back to the Lone Star Le Mans with Cadillac and watch that race as well. So it's a six hour race instead of 24 hours. Ooh. So it was shorter and a different feel. So this was at the Circuit of the Americas, which is a sick track, by the way. I don't know if you've ever been there. Yes. I went there for F1 and I've been there for X games when I was in college when it was there. After the F1 Austin. Super sick. Yeah, because the Circuit of America, they built it for F1. I had no idea they had a F1 in Austin. It's a really cool track. So yeah. So we went there. They had two cars in the race and we ended up getting a second place, which was really cool to see. The race. Not bad. That's good. Really, really cool. But yeah, the race was awesome. And in the center of the track, there's this giant tower. I wish I know how tall it is, but it's got to be at least like 20 stories. Oh, it looks like almost like a big skateboard drop. What is that for? Or is that just a look, just a watch? It's an elevator that goes, yeah, it's an elevator that goes straight up and there stairs around the outside. Oh, not an elevator broke down. No, I was terrified the whole time, but I didn't realize once you get up to the top and you walk out to go to the edge, it's a glass bottom floor. Oh, so you're looking down through and I, it was jiggling up there. Yeah. You're standing there and you feel like when we were in Thailand, we went to, it was like the tallest skyscraper in Thailand. And they had a whole deck where I see through only like six people could go at a time just because of like, I think just maybe the glass was not thick enough. I don't know what it is, but dude, you go over it. You are if bro, it feels like you're fucking 10,000, 15,000 feet in the fucking air. It is nauseating. Dude, I remember I was just getting vertigo, I was like, oh, I got to get me the fuck out of here. That's like some final destination, like bloodline shit. Yeah. Yeah. Just like dancing on that like, dude, I love how it started realistic and then it just like every movie's just like, I want to go back to realism. Like, why are we in the observation tower and it's like tilting and chill like that? It's crazy. Like, he, if you were hired to take pictures there, did you get some good photos? I'm like, I'm pumped. I got some, okay, I can't wait to see. Y'all go comment, give some love to those photographs. Say you came from here, say unfiltered supports. Here, okay. Yeah. Being up in that tower, like shooting from up there was really cool, but I didn't, I didn't last long. I, I had a pit in my stomach the whole time I was up there. Because I was like leaning over the edge and I was just like, I can't, I can't do that. I was brutally hot. I was like, I can't do that. I had a pit in my stomach the whole time I was up there. I was brutally hot in Texas this past weekend. Zane, Zane, Zane, I think you would have, I think you would have collapsed. Oh gosh. Oh yeah, I get it. I get football game at the freaking football game. We could like, I could only last like three quarters. And then I just, during sometimes I'm like, I just got to go inside in the shade and sit. It was like the Titanic at Darryl K. Royal, like stadium because everyone was just like, like just trying to get chased. No, no, that's cool. That you guys are talking about it like this, like I know Jenny, I probably would have like, I would have, I would have had a full freak out in the middle of the street. You would have been, you would have been curled up next to like some sort of fan or AC event. Like, so this whole thing, like you're walking around, you're surrounded by the asphalt. Like it's track everywhere around you. Just makes it that much hotter. Oh yeah. The track temperature they said was 131 degrees. Well, that's a Habachi. We got a Habachi grill out there. That's that's fucking insane. That's, that's like melting the fucking like the car couldn't probably sit on that asphalt for more than a minute or just a minute. You can do an onion stew train on that going to chew. A grill. Wow. Yeah. Yeah. Can't you melt rubber, though? Yeah. Yeah, but it's going in motion like really fast. I know, but like if you think about it, it's going so fast, but also on a 130 degree fucking asphalt. It has to fucking. That's why they got to replace those tires. I would say true, you're right. You're right. And you know what? I would replace it sooner. Yeah. Yes. Because it was just fucking nuts. In my friends, I had one of those fancy new little like Dyson Esk, you know, a portable, portable fans or whatever. The ones with even the face cooler, a little chunky. My buddies were making fun of me. Like, dude, you're not bringing that to the game.
game. And I'm like really? They're like, it's just like a little too much. I was like, fine. Got there. I was like, guys, we should have brought the damn fucking fan. I can't believe, I can't believe they, they judged you enough. They just, they judge me and I guess I was a little self conscious, but you know, I also forgot you had to bring a clear bag and all that stuff because it was a guys week. And we didn't have our wives with us to be like, no, I got the bag. I can hold this stuff. We were just going full pants. So yeah. And how, how are they doing? Oh, they were sweating, sweating balls, man. I bet you they didn't want to say anything. No, they didn't. They, they couldn't. They were like, you should have, you should have brought it. But I was like, I know, but y'all said I shouldn't. It was a, I would have, I would have, I would have not let them live that down for the entire day. I mean, the thing is, if, if you would have brought it, they would have been like, yo, let me hit that real quick. Please, no, I would have, I would have, I would have not allowed in the being actually an AC. There also would have been people around being like, can I please have that? Please, please, please. Just like putting it down your shirt. Yes. I really put my fear of heights to the test, though, on this trip, because they had the tower. But then they also had the zip line thing. It was like a two person seat. You start on the ground. And it slings you all the way up to the top. Like you ride the zip line all the way up. And you like kind of have like a vantage point looking out. You sit there for a second. And then you come back down. And I was terrified of doing it. But my brother really wanted to go. So I was like, all right, we'll do it real quick. We get through. We're in line. And there's this giant, like scale on the ground, almost like the heart attack grill. Yes, down a minute. And then it, yeah. And it shows your weight. And like me and my brother, we're super self conscious. So we're like trying to hop on the scale real quick, get off. So I jumped on real quick. And I kind of like hid the number. And I was like, okay, it said 140. I weighed 210. Oh, okay. We did not have to do that. I'm at 203. I'm right there. Boogie. That was a crazy effect. I know. I hide it very well. I mean, it's all my thighs and my ass. You're pecs. We're looking great before you put it on that shirt this morning. I know. But when you go down here, it's just I have it ostrich. Oh, I think I thought you were trying to make the weight go heavier just so you didn't have to ride it. No, wait for this. So I jokingly said like 140. Like obviously I don't look like I weigh 140 pounds. And I thought she saw the number. Uh-huh. This is in jeans and heavy shoes. And I got stuff on. Yeah, you got your camera and shit. And then my brother hopped on the scale. And it was and it was 245. I'm not, I'm not laughing because of that. We're plus ice park hoppers. No, we're laughing because like we know Shane like being right next to Shane and like seeing his face. And he's holding like he's got a camera in his hand too. Like we were filming the whole thing. And he was like the camera out adds 10 pounds. I'm not in that way. So he was he was on the scale 245. I was 210. So then we go over to this little thing and we're sitting next to each other. The ladies buckling us in. We're both nervous. We're kind of just like, okay, okay. And he goes, I'm just curious like the whole scale thing. Like what is the weight limit? And she was like, uh, 450. And we kind of sat there. And I was like, 450. Um, I lied about my weight. I'm around 40 pounds. And she was like, wait, really? And I was like, yeah. And we were like, we're over the weight limit right now. Like what? What would happen if we rode this? She was like, I really don't know. She was like, you could, you could do it if you want. I bet you would have survived. And I was like, I worry you, how high did this thing go? A hundred feet. Let's see it. Let's see it. Let's see it. But yeah, those chords look a little thin. Yeah, very thin. Like those are just some like metal rod chords. Oh, yeah, that is some, that is some. So it keeps, it keeps going all the way up. And I was like, I was like, maybe we shouldn't do this together. She's like, it's up to you. And I was like, I don't think so. But we also didn't account. It's a two-seater. So then one person got off. So I'm going first. And I'm in this little bucket thing. And it is sitting sideways. So I'm fully leaned over like this because of the weight on one side. And I'm like, get me down. You were supposed to sit at the same time to balance each other's weight out. Because right now it's just like, you're looking down at that crowd. Everyone's like, just looking up at you with their heads tilted, just like, ooh, that doesn't. We did it one at a time. It was fun. It was cool. Oh, you did do it one at a time. Yeah, that's why it was leaning on. I thought it was like a balancing thing where you had to have two people at the same time. It's definitely better to have two. Got it. Yeah, we were little little insecure. That goes like eight light. That looks a little sketchy. I'm not gonna lie. I don't know if I would have done that this one because that's always there, right? Probably. Yeah, it's like part of like their midway. Oh, but it's kind of like. So apparently they're opening this whole thing called Kota land in like two weeks. They're like their own little mini theme park within it. Full theme park. Whoa. It wasn't open in time. So I was a little bum that didn't get to try it out. Are they building it like around the track? Like what's that? Oh, it's literally around the track. Yeah, roller coasters. Wow. Giant swings. I'm guessing it's all like, you know, race themed. Yeah. So I want to go fast. That's actually going to be, I guess, um, open in two weeks. That's actually really smart. Like every ride is like speed. Be cool. Like fucking thrillers. Yeah, that's, wait, is that or those are rides. But do so looks terrifying. But they got a safari adventure. They got giraffes out there in that heat in Texas in the middle of a racetrack. Safari adventure looks so fun. Hopefully there's an animatronic that like what there's a full elephant back there that has that animatronic. Yeah, it's an animatronic. It's a kid's ride. Okay. Okay. I approve. That did like a little, man, look at the setting. That's a little immersive. The raft peeking through. She's, I mean, that's all AI, right? Probably, Zane. I think this is really every picture. Every picture is photoshopped. Yeah. It's a, it's a what we're hoping for. The soggy logger. I don't know if I like that name. That's a little like, that sounds like an urban dictionary. I'm going to go drop off some soggy logger. Yeah, it sounds like you took like a big dump. Yeah, take some browns of the Super Bowl type, like terminology, soggy logger. Oh guy, you should see what it sounds like. It sounds like a good like hazy IPA beer. Like, oh, this is a little soggy logger. Like some like hippie kind of like micro brewery shit. Yeah. It's not my favorite. I think they should change that. Alan, palan drum. Let's make a one called hyperbole. What the fuck? No, I like the word play on this because it goes forward and backwards. Oh, that's genius. Genius. Brilliant. That's really good. And we're teaching the kids some, you know, good grammatical vocabulary. There we go. I'll allow it. I think I think the word palan drum should have been a palan drum to remember what it means. I agree. I agree. I dropped the ball on that one. They really didn't think about that one. How is the game though? Because in the center of the track, they had one of those giant TV walls that was playing the game. I mean, so the game is just awesome in terms of it being the first game of the year. Everyone's so excited. Everyone's very optimistic about Texas this year with arch and stuff. So the energy insane, the flyover, all the fucking fireworks and the orange smoke and everything. But I mean, it was against Texas state. I'll respect Texas state, but we kicked our asses. So in terms of it was nice, but yeah, what did we need to 59 to seven? At some point, you're like, okay, we can call it a little early if y'all want. I saw some team that played this past weekend and they took five minutes off the board for the fourth quarter because the team was getting beat so bad. And it was just probably so hot. I think that has to, you have to feel so bad if you're that a team like, yo, y'all were so bad right now. They made the game shorter because of us. Do you think they're probably just dehydrated the other team? I can't remember what. Oh, yeah, it was Morgan State, Arizona versus Morgan State. And they cut it the fourth quarter down to 10 minutes to Kevin. Cutting the fourth quarter down is so embarrassing. There should just be like a white flag that like one of the coaches could throw in to say like, okay, no, dude, that would look so bad. Let it, no, let it be their decision. Like don't like when you're when the reps come out and they're like, we just got to cut. But I think that's what, but that's what makes you so like, you're, you're going till the end, you know, there's something about like, there's something powerful about the yeah, but if boxers can like throw in like the towel, you know, like, well, they're, I mean, they're getting there. You're getting your face beat and shit like that. This is equally as beat. I get it. Yeah, mentally, for sure, mentally, physically, not emotionally. Very good. They'll breathe an apparatus. That okay. That is one of my favorite, my favorites of y'all's like, it is perfect. I wish I was there that day to witness it. It's weird because it'll pop up on our feet, like maybe every few years. And like, I'll look at the date and it just got posted and like, it's just circulating again. Like, that's crazy. It's, it's, it's so well done because how like far away you're sitting on the fireplace with like Carly and then you're over there having this cigarette and it's just like, I'm a better Satan you. Yeah. I mean, that was like, that was like, it was natural. Like it just happened on the spot. Like literally camera came out. We were fighting before the camera even came out. Yeah. You just happened to get that beginning of that conversation. It was so good. Yeah. Ethan, I would always get into sassy fights like that. It'd be like that sometimes. All right. I mean, a new student posted this, but like the lane that they're making for Olympic, when the Olympics are happening here in LA, it's like a purple lane with purple Teslas. That's going to be on the left side of the highways. Oh, it's in a whole lane, but all the comments are like, um, we're all using it, like nothing's going to change. Yeah, nothing's going to change. So only cars I can drive on are literally these like approved purple Teslas for the people attending the Olympics. I think, yeah, it's either for, I'm sure it's going to be for athletes for celebrities that are going to pay for a Tesla, but everybody in the game, it's like, uh, no, we're going to use it ourselves. Yeah. There's okay. Yeah. If it's fucking clear, we're using it. So you have to be in a purple Tesla in that purple lane. Yeah. People are going to be getting their cars wrapped like right now, just like purple. Just get like, it's a not a bad idea to do that, but you're still probably going to get to take it from the camera and stuff. They're going to have all that shit like figured out, but man, you want to risk it? Get the ticket. Could you believe how many cybercabs there were? Oh, yeah. The gold ones. The, yeah. That was out of control. That was insane. They look like sleeker than a waymo, but they're so like cyber like, yeah, they are like self-driving. Oh, dude. Apparently, Charles was telling me this apparently these motherfuckers are about to be everywhere. Dude, it was everywhere in Austin. It was like every other car it felt like. Yeah, no. Apparently, dude, we're about to lose like a lot of fucking drivers, like human drivers because of this shit. Crazy. So I think what it is is you can buy one and then you just let it go drive and make you money. I heard that as well. Yes. You can like own it and stuff. So it incentivizes people to buy it so that they can, you know, have it go drive and make money for them while they're just saying forget to take out a stinky gym bag or something. Like, you know what I mean? Like, all from like, oh, you're like, it's like, it's like, it's trash is like still in it. You're like, oh my gosh, okay. I still want a human driver. Like, I think forever until the day I die, I want a human driver to take me to, so like, it's like a gig for people to wait for them to make money, you know, and it's a great gig. It's just like because everybody needs a fucking ride somewhere to like, either to the airport. Okay. And it's between that and the waymo. The waymo's got fucking spinning camera, it looks so dumb compared to that. But at least the waymo like has a steering wheel. Even though it's like no one's driving the car, I'd like to see a steering wheel because I know like when I'm anticipating motion, I'm anticipating navigation. Just knowing that like, there is no, I don't know. Fail safe. Oh, there is something weird that like if it goes out of control and you need to turn that wheel, it'd be nice to have it there. Yes. Just for emergency. Just for emergency. Yeah. Something that can just, because if your goal goes out of control and it's like speeding and you're about to hit a wall, but like, you need to fucking turn the car, like hop over, turn it. You need that shit. I don't like that. Like the logo is like ingrothed and shit. Like, I know it's supposed to appeal to like a young crowd, but it's like, come on. It looks like someone like tagged it with like spray paint. I think it's just like, I'm here to trust my life in this self-driving car. Can we just make it look a little sleek and safe? It looks like this. It looks like this. Yes. This looks like a guy who's going to take me to like a really sketchy after-night club that has like BDSM and everyone's on molly at four in the morning. Yeah. It's like, it's very, it's the word gotty, right? Yeah. Yeah. Sure. In terms of the gold and like the flashingness, yeah. I feel like, like if I saw that pass, I was like, oh, that's definitely a YouTuber's car. Yeah. It's giving like just streamer. Yeah. Like, oh, the first shirt, a streamer's in there. He's doing really well. This month, he bought himself a Tesla wrapped it in gold. And that's his like handle. That's his handle right there. For sure. Yeah. Oh, you know what's really interesting? So you guys like know about like how there were phones and cars back in the day. Are you talking about the new one that they just created? No. I'm talking about just like back in the 80s when it was a few shifts. Oh, yes. If you were like a business executive or someone of important, it was a huge flex to have a your own phone line in your car. Yeah. If someone broke down the economics of how much it costs to have a phone in your car back then. So yeah. This is like 1983. How much do you think it was? You can either say at the time or in today's dollars, I have both numbers here. Okay. Just to add this feature. Just to have your own commercial cellular like line. Yeah. I mean, this was like, I would say it's a month. It's a monthly fee. Oh, it's a fee a month. The actual phone. Just to get it. Yeah. There's the price of that. And then the bill it is for the monthly cost. I would say they probably charged the equivalent of today's money, like a thousand bucks to have it in the car. Just the phone. Okay. Yeah. And then I would say maybe 50 bucks a month for the service. Interesting. In today's dollars, he's. Yeah. Okay. The thing is that nobody had only big executives out of it. So like again, they're going to price like gouge that shit for big people are going to fucking buy that. They say in our dollars that it was probably four grand to install it and then in our because our dollars, I mean, people are paying now up to 120 bucks a month for their fucking phone services. So I'm going to say $200. Okay. Well, your month. Okay. So to get the phone installed, it was $2800, but in today's dollars, that's $9,000. Oh, wow. They're going to get the phone in the car. And then for the monthly bail, you were close in terms of 200, but that's during then. Now a month, it would $800. It was $200 back then. Yeah. $200 a month. So. And I get also this stat is really aggressive because it's the beginning of it. Yeah. But so I don't know maybe late 80s if that price kind of went down, but then cell phones it became completely obsolete. But yeah. So if you ever see like in the movies, those like big flash executives that got phone. That's a sick photo though. My grandma apparently had one. My mom used to tell me because she was a real estate agent because you're a real estate agent. You'll always have to be able to take calls, be like, where you at? You want to see this house? I'll be there. Yeah. So sometimes I think maybe her company also like paid for it too. If you're like, you know, it's crazy. How did people get anything done without being in the car like, dude, there's people that drive all fucking day. It's so crazy that you just have no contact with anybody unless or with you cops are probably pulling you over just to be like, I'm not giving you a ticket. That just looks cool. Like, wow, they wouldn't call you. They would just say it from a window. I know, but like just being like, I saw you're on your phone. No ticket. That just looks sick. It was probably not illegal to talk on the phone. No, it was like being able to vape on airplanes when you first could like do it, you know? The commercials were like that, take back your right to Smokin with Blue V. You think we'll be back? No. No. I thought you were bringing that up because there's a company that just created a new version of like the 80s retro phone for like cars. Oh, they did. And it looks pretty cool. Like what do you mean? You just like put your, you sink it up to your phone, but then you use the phone to like answer. Hopefully it's like a lot louder, you know? Like the mic that they have, not the mic, the speaker that they have in there is like super clear. It's kind of something fun to like if you have an older car, like they don't match the aesthetic of it. Yeah. Kind of retro fitted out. Yeah. We love you. Speaking of 80s, have you all seen the new Halloween video game of Michael Myers? Yes, the video you sent me? It looks pretty cool. Okay.
So I didn't understand that video because how is he able to get from the outside to inside so quick? Because I think that there's a mode on the game where Michael wires does in a way have that like supernatural ability to be like everywhere kind of quickly, even though he's walking. So that like if you there's a certain technique to the game where if it's like you're in fear mode and you've been spotted, you have to really like get your way out of him, but he can like move his spirit to go faster across the neighborhood to like get to where everyone's at. So I've been watching everyone live stream it, but they're setting like the whole and Mariah might like this because she used to live close to where they filmed in the original house, right? Like all the shops in the street corners and like the leaves on the ground and like the playgrounds and everything. The map just looks really fucking cool. This is this looks too real. I don't know if I could do this. But I've been addicted to watching people play this game like, you see, I don't like playing horror. I love scary movies, but like playing I just wouldn't be able to do it because like I would I would just find I do be through the roof. I think that that's like the fun ever like, oh girl, run, we got to get out of here. Yeah, I guess there's there's something fun about other people around you playing this game. Yes. Exactly. Oh, God. Is it online? Yeah, I just came out yesterday. Oh, and it's on like steam and I think Xbox or maybe PS5 or whatever. We're gonna have the blur all that. That was spooky. Did you see the oven scene? My goodness. Would he toss her in the oven? Oh, yeah. The depths are pretty brutal, but it looks really good though. Very good quality. Yeah. Can you be Michael Myers? Yes. You get to switch who you are. You can be like a civilian. I play that. Yeah. It's cool. I want to be the killer. This is kind of like a mungus. Yeah. I like that. So you can play with other people like a group of people, one can be Michael Myers. Everyone civilians. Nice. And you got to like, you can like smoke weed in it. You can like drink like a beer and make it more confident. Yeah. Your screen is all fucked up. You can't see shit. I can't remember like what the effects were, but it definitely like can affect your HP or maybe make you more a little bit perceptive to like hiding and stuff. It all kind of like works. Very interesting. And like you can call the cops and the cops can come. There's all these different scenarios and this is not an ad. I'm just like, I got a just another game for serial killer serial killers to buy to get practice. Remember when I take notes, yeah, remember when a Grand Theft Auto, there was a whole wave of parents like, do not buy this band. Kids. I was never allowed to play Grand Theft Auto. I mean, I did at sleepovers, but like, you'll play that at someone else's house, but we are not playing that in ours. Yeah. I get that. I don't think, did we have that again? I don't think. No, because my, they let me play fucking dead or alive. There was fucking Gore, not Gore. There was about about like, about almost like that game, the volleyball, the volleyball, yeah, I had the volleyball edition, obviously. And yeah, no, I, I think we're a lot of play that game for sure. My parents were staunchly against the Call of Duty games because they were very much in the camp of like, oh, this is going to cause like, yeah, gun violence and stuff like that. And I remember I made a whole PowerPoint convincing my parents to let me get MW 2 to play with my friends. And of course, there's like one day I'm playing the story mode and then that no Russian campaign. She comes down into the basement and you know, in that level, you mow down and I never played that game. Oh, you never played it. No, do you want it? I remember that one. That one was like the no Russian campaign when you, you, it opens up. The level opens up. You're in an elevator with like four other guys. And then the door doors open and you just mow down civilians in an airport. It's like the most like Gore graphic intent, whatever. It's just disturbing. And of course, that's why my mom comes down. She's like, what the fuck did I buy you? The fact that you did a buddy, buddy, we're not playing the party. The whole presentation is giving Saru a cold. Like, that's so shit killer with dude, this is why I really need this guy. I just wanted to play with my friends. I know what you mean. Yeah. You played Call of Duty. My brother did like modern warfare two or three, a bit hot in cold duty was too fucking hard and stressful, especially if you're playing like four friends are over there with a tiny screen. And they're able to like aim their gun right there off that balcony to get that guy to play. Halo was easy. Call of duty was just so difficult for me to fucking figure it out. I don't know what it was. It just like too much is going on. Too many fucking weapons. Like detailed. Too detailed. Halo was perfect because it was just felt soft and it like you had you had guns here and there. It wasn't just fucking scattered everywhere. I don't know. There was something about it. It was a different game. I'm just I'm a simple guy. I said what I said. I like what I like. Well, yeah. I played Halo God award Ninja Gaiden. That was it. That's all I need. Speaking of games. Did you guys see the the whole breakdown of all the clues you had to figure out in order to win Mr. Beast like puzzle prize like a million dollar prize and somebody just won it right. And so now he's revealing. He's revealing how they want it. Okay. Wait, pause this. Guys. I watched this video and I could not believe that someone even won this. That amount of shape to figure out these clues. I don't need like you. I didn't even understand how they got to the next thing because of how fucking cryptic it was. It was like insane. All right. We got to like clue three. I was like done with the video because I'm like I would have never been able to figure that shit out. So this is going to watch this video and be like I got some fucking ideas. I got to level up for the next album. Fuck up. All right. So start the video again. Start the video again. You guys need to listen to this and fucking just months ago I put a million dollars in this bowl and then on a Super Bowl commercial closed it up boys. I said whoever solved a hundred puzzles for a spread all across the internet would win the money inside and out of millions of people one human cracked the code. And I'm going to show you guys exactly how we did it. Boys. Porter me. I'm going to throw me my super expensive laptop to have one a million dollars. You first had to watch my Super Bowl teaser titled watch my Super Bowl add to win a million dollars. If you went in the description and clicked on this playlist then looked at the pinned comments of all of these videos you would get nine puzzles. And if you completed them you'd receive your first answer which was every challenge leads towards location name somewhere around the world. Great. I wouldn't have gone to pass the first part. No. Is the actual puzzle? Oh my god. You need to find 91 locations hidden throughout all these clues. 91. 91. Let's get into it. Starting with my Super Bowl commercial. I just put a one million dollars inside this vault. This is crazy. It's hard to group and add these bright colored bills in the vault together and then match those numbers to letters in the alphabet. Are you fucking saying who's back at stand now would be your first. We're people like on a subreddit like collectively trying to like solve this maybe ready player one type shit. Like a group of group of got together not you think red pages. I feel like they wouldn't want to help the public because you're just giving away info. But I get to see a team getting together maybe like a private discord of some like hardcore cryptology guys who were like, Hey, if you guys are all down and we all like split the money. I don't know. But it's got to be a small group. It can't be too big right? Right. So I'm curious like maybe did the whole collective population get like 50% far in this and then it just kept getting harder and harder and harder as this all goes down. You think 50 even 50% would have gotten past the fucking dollar. I don't even know. I don't even know if like some person posted at least maybe the first second or third clue online like that eventually gets out. You know who I think it was. I think it was a fucking top detective that should have been working on cases. But decided you know what I want to make a million fucking dollars. Yeah. Can you find my missing child? Yeah. I'll be there every second. Oh, yes, it's cash tin. Mr. Beast is just supposed to fucking hell, but yeah, keep going 12 locations. But do you remember when I said then go in a million dollars? I was wearing a belt with very special X's why were they special? These X's were actually wired color code pairs and because there's 25 of them, you could map them to the alphabet. So, lemma Peru, your second location, the third was the golden ball door. If you match these numbers and dots to the international scrabble lexicon, the message would spell out he funded a hospital in this site of last year's scrabble championship. What was it? Buzz it. Buzz it. Buzz it. Be sure to drink your oval team. Yeah. That crummy commercial set up a bit. You remember like a Christmas story because I couldn't code her. That's funny. For the fourth puzzle, this bulb is flashing in Morse code, spelling absolutely nothing. But if you play the video in reverse, oh, yeah, it spells Kabul. And if you take the white tape on the back of my clipboard and overlay it on the front, you'd spell out capital of East Nusa Tengara, which is Coupa, Indonesia. There are 26 ports in this door and 10 lasers firing in this unit and hit them. James Charles in it escape room. That's how he is in it escape room. He'll be like see something goes, oh, it's this but you're like, how, how crazy? Those ports landing in this order. If you convert these numbers to the alphabet, it spells laser mix up. And if you mix up the word laser, it spells arrows as an arrow. Fuck you. Oh, he streams background color can be read as base three code. If you use the base three formula and then convert that to letters, you get these city hub built in Toronto, Canada. And if you convert these emojis on my phone to text, the first two
letters of each spelled the city name of Casablanca, which is in Morocco, and did you catch the smoke bomb? This may look like one plus one, but this is an S. This is actually a T, and this is a one, and the entire thing is yellow, which spells out yellow stone Wyoming. And did you see these doors? They have some pretty weird dots on them, but if you overlaid these dots together and counted the numbers from top to bottom, you'd get these atomic numbers, and if you turn them into element symbols, you'd get Lahore, Pakistan. Oh, come on. This is out of control. Okay, I think they only showed how we don't need to watch the rest, but you see how insane that like I cannot believe that was only half of it. He had to have hired a team of a hundred fucking geniuses to come up with this. And even if like I got pitched that as Mr. Beast, I'd be like, this is too complicated. It's going to win. Yeah, but there are people out there who are hungry enough in that love a good little puzzle like this. Okay, so I didn't watch that far. I just wanted to show you how ridiculous it was even a portion of the place. There's something at the end that ties it all together. But still like the fact that you couldn't even, I heath, I don't even care what you have to do after because it's like how the fuck do you get through that first phase? I'm going to be honest, they deserve way more than a million dollars. Yeah, that's, that's, that's, that's he. That's like a hundred million dollar solves. It's pretty cool that it took everyone like that long. Like, you know, me it was that long. How did it take? I mean, up, it's since the Super Bowl and them just announcing it now, I would say it's probably been like, almost a year. It wasn't super like in February, Super Bowls in February. So it's been about seven months. Yeah. Over half a year. You know, whoever figured figured this out, as they were going, when they, when they got to like the second or third country and their head, they're like, I need to quit. I need to quit and spend all my time on this because I'm going to figure this out. Like, you're getting so close because once you, because once you get, once you get past like a couple of countries, you already know how ridiculous the clues are. So now you know what you're looking for. Yeah, yeah. Because a lot of the clues kind of repeated itself where it was like, take these numbers converted to the alphabet, you know, exactly. I hate alpha, like alpha numerical cryptology. Those types of puzzles I don't like. Yeah. No. Yeah. Because sometimes I can just hunt a killer game. Still have that. Like this has nothing to do with the murder. But I have to solve this puzzle to get out of much rather just by David Dobrik puzzle. And hopefully I got the puzzle that has the bar code that gets me that million dollars. But also like when you're doing this, there is no, um, it's not like a video game where you type it in and they're like, okay, you solved the clue number three. It's just like, you could have thought you had it. Like you could just be making some shit up and you're like, okay, I guess this works. Yeah. But if you put it in reverse, it actually spelt this screw you. Like what? But I'm sure they had so many countries that they thought they were because they were hitting other countries in the clues. But yeah, so I think they, I think they, I think they had options. And then they have to take that option and see if they got them anywhere. And then this option, see if it got them anywhere. I was so much of it pointing to like the Middle East. Like it was like, we're in Kazakhstan. We're in Pakistan. Like all this city locations. Like we're like, I feel like are we playing a modern warfare? I think it was countries in Africa and, um, yeah, the Middle East. And I think I saw one in Russia too. Honestly, I think they're doing a lot of names that most people wouldn't recognize. Yes. They like it very obscure, very obscure countries. Yeah. Yeah. Wow. That's crazy. I like Cannabis. One person got it, which, which makes like a perfect puzzle. If you think about it, like you had one winner in eight months, somebody, somebody did it. So you had your like, that was a successful puzzle as ridiculous as it was. I hope they put like a sit down video with like the winner and like been telling them like their whole story about like their highs. Maybe that person filmed themselves the whole time like solving it. I'm pretty cool. Oh, yeah. You know what? There's probably a chance. Maybe he didn't. I'm sure Mr. Pieces gonna bring him on. Yeah. Just like a captain's log of fucking solving it. I want to see a sit down like Nancy Grace. Like he's sitting on one side. He's like, Oh, so tell us a lot of people. Now, where did you get that? If like people who like do puzzles all your life and that's your high, things just come easier to you. You got to think like a puzzle or you know how when you take a exam or take a test back in like school, you have to show your work. Kind of do you think in this case you have to show some sort of work because what if one of the guys that were helping put this whole puzzle together? What if they reach out to somebody to reach out to somebody else or reach out to somebody else and make it this like line of like where it's kind of like it would be really hard to even connect it back to you where you have this like deal with this train of people that you're like kind of going through. Yeah, you just split the money where this guy has there's no way this guy's connected to you unless you got these six other people all caught. You know what I mean? Like kind of figure out this puzzle. I can see that happening. It's possible. I can see that happening too. Or all the coders and the people involved were giving a given a different answer. And if their answer leaked, they would know that they were. Oh, no, we got a movie. Keith, you think that maybe every portion of the puzzle was made by somebody completely different. So it would be impossible. I mean, no, I do believe that like whoever created this massive game was all submitted like individually. Like there was one person who's a mastermind, but each puzzle was probably created by a different person. Like come up with something for this video and then lead to this country. And then they figured that out. And then I bet it was even confusing to all Mr. Beast team where they couldn't even figure it out even though they knew all the clues and stuff because it making it like 90 steps of a puzzle. Like we just trip up any brand. Somebody needs to know the answer. That's not Mr. Beast. Definitely. And that person was probably hired to be like, you know, the game clue or someone that's the fucking envelope. That's only like how many people do you think knew the answer when this was ready to post live? Great question. Probably very, very few people who signed a lot of huge India, India's and stuff. I bet Mr. Beast team probably thought it all the way through. You see, like that's what I want it. I want it. I want to know about that shit. I want to hear like how that gets all set. Do you ever think Mr. Beast is just like, oh, yeah, what are we doing? Like we just said that are I got to do. Oh, right. Like, I don't know. He's got to be, he's got to be filming a documentary, right? He's got to be filming this whole process. Just like BTS style, just you know how like musicians will start filming like documentary stuff just for their documentary in like 10 years or whatever. He has to be doing something, right? Because I would love to watch a Mr. Beast documentary. I have to see what's happening behind the scenes. How does he talk normally? He's being like, and then that's where he put another clue. And then if you look there, it's very normal. Where it needed normal white dude. It's very like I, because I've seen him in like even like like David's videos, whatever you can tell that he has a host type of talking and just a regular and other people's videos type talking. It's like kind of monotone, just like a, he just like rip six. I can't imagine like Mr. Beast like off camera's just this huge chain. So he's like, like does Mr. Beast drink? He drinks alcohol. Maybe celebratory. I don't know. Yeah. I don't think he has hangovers. He couldn't. If he had a hangover the next day, he's fucked. He loses millions of dollars. I feel like in my head, he's hosting something every day. Like he's filming something insane every day. And if he's not, he's in the editing room. Like there's a reason that he like lives at the his like workplace. Oh, he had he lives there. Yeah, he Jim bedroom like everything is at his like warehouse where all of that. How one day be like, I don't, I'm done. I'm done. I'm done. Just like I'm not leaving to bed. I'm tired. And he fucking can right now. He definitely can. He kept fucking rich. Everyone go home. We're done. Just I'm done. Yeah. Dude, there is so many, he's so many employees where like it would be really sad if he was just like, I'm done. But dude, I'm sure he like, can he make like almost like a smash where it's like he doesn't need to be stuff anymore. It's just these people that are not running it. He could freaking AI himself now at this point. With the amount of videos that. Yes. And his voice. He's just like an enigma. And it's like, there it is. Virtual Mr. Beast. Hey, guys, but like you can't like even tell. Yeah, you probably couldn't even tell. And it's probably soon going to happen. Whoa. That's wild to think about. That's definitely possible. It could be by the end of the year. Yeah. Because it's probably already been happening. And we don't even know probably because right now you, when you watch AI, there's a certain movement in AI where it's like you immediately know it's AI. But it's getting
better and better. I know where it's like one day it's just going to be so crispy. He's worth 2.6 bill. They can like figure that out. No problem. Like he has the resources. Like right now, like you see how crispy heath is in his in his shot. It's going to get to the point where it's just, it's that. That's, it's just that is AI. And he's going to be able to, you type in anything you want to say. Actually, it's hard. You would never be able to do a podcast AI though. That's a little tough. I mean, it is possible if you're like one of those just like very like factual based podcasts. Like, so wait, how can I be sleeping better? Well, actually, if you're taking magnesium glycinate before bed, like, if it's just this like informational banter. Sure. Yeah. I'm like, for mine, I'm like putting characteristics from I'm like, uh, very misinformed. Um, stutter's occasionally, I like to listen to podcasts when I fall asleep. There's just, it's just nice and relaxing. And I found this like sleepy time science podcast. And the voice sounded so real. And then there was one thing where like the pronunciation, I was like, that's an AI fuck up up. And it like it ruined my entire night. This is a like a few nights ago. I couldn't go to bed. It was real the whole time. I thought it was real because it was just like the cadence of the voice was so just natural. And then there was like one mispronunciation where you can tell that the person typed into the script, like the phonetic way to say it. Yeah. But it said it wrong. And I was like it immediately triggered like a red flag in my head. And I was like, well, fuck it. Now I can't sleep. There's so there's so many pot. There's AI podcasts clips of promoting a product where they'll look like they have like the one I just saw it looked like, uh, it looked like they have like a Korean, the female expert on like on. And they'll show you that just in the first few seconds, and then we'll jump to all these visuals. Yeah. She's endorsing it like we're in shows. She's a health expert or like a dermatologist expert or something. And like it's like it's looking pretty fucking good. Like I had to stare out at it like genuinely for like maybe 10 seconds to be like, it's AI, but it took me. It took me 10 seconds. That's a long fucking time. They're too good. Before we continue, this episode is sponsored by Baha Blast. I got to be honest, I can't believe summer is almost over. I'd literally move hemispheres every year if I could to keep those summer vibes just flowing. Baby, you know what I mean? So as we move into the new season, here's a challenge. Crack open an ice cold Baha Blast. Take that first sip and try to just stay in a bad mood. It's like sneezing with your eyes open. It's impossible. There's something about that tropical lime flavor that just makes whatever you're doing feel better in the moment. Like let's say what you're having a bad day, stubbed a toe, watching a movie you've seen 10 times before and have zero interest in watching again, but you do it because your partner wants you to try this. Crack open a Baha Blast and see how you feel. I guarantee you're going to feel a lot better. It's got that bold mountain dew taste with a splash of tropical lime flavor. It's cold, refreshing and honestly doing way more good for my attitude than it probably should. So you know what? Turn up the volume, grab the crew and crack a Baha Blast, baby. Summer might have a season, but Baha Blast is your year round classic. I dare you to try and have a bad time when you're sipping Baha Blast. So go ahead, escape to the tropics anytime with a splash of Baha Blast. Look for the iconic ocean teal color at your local retailer. Have a Baha Blast. And thank you Mountain Dew Baha Blast for sponsoring this podcast. We love you. Speaking of AI, getting more human like and real or whatever. Do you see? So open AI is coming out with chat GPT six, the astro model, right? And an employee from open AI posted a video of this new model beating all 48 levels of the CAPSHA system. Oh, dear. Like the thing, it's like passing the touring test like fully. Yeah. And like CAPSHA literally stands for like identifying who is a real human who's not. Yeah. It stands for like a touring test to tell humans and computers apart. They're actually going to update that. I mean, the fact that we even still have that, I think it's, I feel like it's so outdated right now. I agree, too. It's like, which are these are street signs? Which are the motorcycles? Which is a crosswalk, but you're like, but you're put the fucking street sign decks of the crosswalk. There's this one back there. What like, I fail it like three times. Yeah. But like AI can easily figure that out. Like that's no surprise. It's, it's getting through CAPSHA. I know. It's just, it's just like insane that the test literally designed to tell humans and computers apart is now being passed by computers. And the thing is is like, it was solving it while like operating the computer, like moving the mouse and clanking it stuff. Gosh, we're cooked. Yeah. We're going to enjoy it. But last guys, so it's just like that on top of like, we talked about the, the hack when it broke out of the sandbox or whatever. Like literally committed a felony. Yeah. If a human did that, it's just, it's all where yeah, we're cooked. Dude, that man of AI villain movies are about to come out. Oh my god. You know, you know, they're making right now like eight. The Andrew Garfield one though about Sam Altman that Luca, I was with Gorgando, the one who did like call me by your name and challengers and all of that. It's about like, what's the, what's the, what's the movie? What's the name of it? It was Andrew Garfield. What's Garfield about though? It's about like Sam Altman creating like the beginning of chat and stuff. So like, you know, um, uh, this social network, it's like the social network of the beginning of AI. Oh, it's called artificial, artificial. And the trailer looks pretty fucking dope. Hey, artificial intelligence. Lose the intelligence. Interesting. Yeah. Lose the intelligence artificial. It's going to be good. Oh, shit. Elon sent it. I didn't know he was a fucking actor. Oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh. Oh my god. I'm so fucking dumb, dude. I'm like, how the fuck did I look at that and go like whole movie is about it? It's an actor. All right. I mean, that's gonna be terrible. Wait, who is the actor though? I thought he was playing a fucking icon. Is this the guy though who like looks kind of like Elon Musk? Oh, oh, that's a guy from Matt TV. Yes. Oh my god. You did a good gain cook impression. He's going to play him really well. That's going to be kind of cool. That's a good casting. Yeah. Wow. Dude, crazy. He did David told you about the time where Jonah brought brought up Doge to David. This was a long fucking time ago, a long time ago. And he was like, Jonah was like, David, this is like, this is it. This is, this is, this is the coin you want to be a part of. And like David didn't like, obviously didn't listen to him. And instead of putting a million in Doge, he put a million in Tesla, right? And if you were to put a million in Doge at the time today, he, I believe it would be, he would have $150 million. Wow. Holy fuck. But instead, he lost money at Tesla. He lost money at Tesla. He like pulled it out. Yeah. I think it went down, right? He, yeah, it's down. He pulled it out and then it went back up, pulled it out pretty quickly. And then it went back up. That's critical. Even if he kept it, even if he kept it in Tesla, it would have been like 30 million, something insane. Oh, really? And what year? He put the million in to Tesla back in 2015. But he didn't make any money or wait, he lost it because he pulled out. He pulled out. There was like a, there was like a tiny drop, just like a normal drop in stakes. Like he just, he freaked out and pulled it out. But you know what, there's always something to buy. There's something to buy today that'll be worth a hundred and a 50 million dollars in a couple years. Like there's always something to buy. Yeah. Just do your research and be responsible. It's such a dangerous world. It's, it's just like the, the look of the draw, right? It's like somebody comes up to you, says something like that. You put it in. But like, if you win, you win, you lose your lose, but like if you indulge yourself in that fucking world, you're going to go fucking insane. Oh, yeah. Like to make that, you remember where we got rogue, rogue pulled on the hose. Dude, I remember every day I was wake up and going to sleep, stress the fuck out. I didn't understand that world at all. And in my head, I was just like, I want to make easy money. I want, I want to put my money in and I wanted to just grow. And then I'm going to pull out. Give me that. Get rich, quick, quick, quick scheme. And I remember one day I just, I was done. I pulled everything out of every single thing I had. And I was just like, I'm fucking done. This is like, it takes so much toll on your mental health. Like, yeah. Oh my god. Just trading stocks all the time. And that's your job, trying to make these huge fucking like trades and professional. I get it to do it. Because it's still even like your profession. It takes a certain type of mental tenacity or I don't know what the fucking word is, but fuck now. Yeah. No, it's it's easy. You would lose your hair. I honestly, I blame losing half my hair on that face. I was stressing the fuck out. And we're all I think we're also doing podcasts. I was like, Oh my fucking guy. That's what my neck was earned every day. From all the stress. Something like stressing about something where you can't control is just like the funniest. The worst. It's talking about stress relief. I can only have been all about toe spacers. Have you ever, like, you know, like toe spacers? These like, like you can buy them. When you get your nails done and they put the little foam things, but they have ones that like on Amazon that you can like just slide in. But when you're just like chilling out, relaxing watching TV, you put those on. Oh, they feel so good. Matt, I thought there was a shoe that I saw. It was like a like a gym shoe or what do we call it? They have a thing.
thing where you put it between your toe and the rest of your, and then you, it's like a click thing. Oh, yeah, it pulls it. It pulls it to the left or right, whichever foot you're on, and it like spreads your toe out. So I think you have better form. I'm not sure why it's also like for people with bunions. Oh, it's supposed to be like what your feet are naturally like. And then over time, our feet just being in shoes are so crammed in like, is there anything for bolegged people? This is what I fucking need. I know. And I pronate, but the, just the toe spacers, the toe spacers are just like, I don't know. We, Patricia, I love we have our little toe spacers are watching TV pop mom, but it's just like, ooh, I feel like really relaxed. It just takes this tension that you never knew you were holding within your feet. And then are you, are you also into like the zero drop shoes? What's a zero drop shoe? Oh, is that like the, some athletic shoes have that? The, um, yeah, a lot of, a lot of shoes have like zero drop. So your heel doesn't sit higher. Oh, it's more flat. So naturally, you're supposed to be flat, but a lot of shoes have that incline, or I guess it would be decline where your toes are going down. Why do we do that? Like why do we have shoes like that? They actually ruin your, well, they think it's maybe better for runners, but if also sometimes you're not run and maybe operate differently, everyone's legs and their tensions and, yeah, I guess we shouldn't be wearing running shoes if we're not fucking running. I know. That's the whole point. Or I don't play tennis. How do y'all tie your shoes? Are you guys tying your shoes like the way you were like taught? Or do you just kind of like, well, I wouldn't know one and then just do the other look up the day. I'm sure there's names for, but you don't do the bunny ears. I don't do the bunny ears. Well, like I do the bunny ears, but I don't do that one thing we were taught when we were kids. We almost like loop it around one of your fingers and you get this secret loop. And then you taught, make it tight. Like I'm doing bunny ears. No, but like I'm making, like I have done it once. And then I take, then I make two ears and then I just tie it like that. You do two loops. Yeah. Yeah. That's crazy. I do, wait. I do two loops. You do money ears? No, no, not bunny ears. I do, it's, so I take, that's what I do. I do bunny ears. Yes. I go under first, not just like that. Yeah. Not and then I won one shoe lace. I go like this, make a loop and then go around and see that's how you're supposed to do it. I don't do that. You take the the loop part and go around or you take the loop. I make a loop. I take the other shoe lace. I go around and then put it under and then pull it. Okay. Pull it apart. Yeah. But bunny ears, two loops is doing that twice and then tying the loops together. That's crazy. Is that method? That's you? Is that you Matt? You do the bunny ears? Okay. So yeah, I tie it like, oh, sorry, I tie it like that. And then I do that. I know, I know, I know, I'm in too much of a hurry. I used to be able to know how to do the standard knot, but I don't. And then I double knot it. I know double, double bubble. I mean, you're vulnerable and I didn't realize that I was that alone, but yeah, that's how I do. Is that nerdy or is that I feel like that's more just like, I think it's more childish. No one's ever looking down and watching me tie my shoe. He does bunny ears, mom, that, that, that man doesn't know how to tie his shoes. But I knew there was a better way, but I just, I, but there's never the day we're like, today's day, I'm going to relearn how to tie my shoes. I really like the Solomon's where it's almost like this. Oh, yeah. I like those. I wish more shoes were like that. I do like the, um, it's not the Solomon one, but it's like the lock where you spin it. Oh, yeah, what brand is that? See, that looks cool, but I'm always worried that's going to like break. Like I'm going to be in a hurry and just this plastic is just going to like malfunction. You like click it down and then you can see that spin that dial in it. Oh, oh, that gives you that low because he's actually, it reminds me of like boots. Like snow boots. Yeah. Do you have a, um, a shoes, a horn, a shoe horn? No, but they're useful for like if you have like the Nike, uh, like blazer high tops, like some of those old school looking ones, you have shoe horns. Pretty like. I thought shoe horns were specifically for, um, boots, like, uh, they are. Right? What kind of boots? Yeah, but then you can't really get, you got to put the whole thing down in it. No, I don't use a shoe horn, but they're useful for people. They're useful. You know what I hated wearing? When I was younger, it's soccer. Shoes, cleats, oh, walk around and cleats just like look who's here wearing heels today. There we go. Oh god. Yes. Oh, but then they had the soccer cleats where the laces were on the side of them. Oh, yes, he was a, was that Puma? I don't remember what brand I had, but I know that the laces were on the side. Yeah, dude, those are the pro ones. I thought I was dude, something on the, whenever I dude, it was the best people, the best kids on our teams. I would wear that shit. I think that was better for your like kicks or better to hit the ball with or something. It didn't help me at all. Help me either. One time I was fucking shooting the other way. Fucking ball was going straight out of bounds. Just so embarrassing. I just wanted the snacks, the slices or just like, give me, give me my soccer games. Just want the Capri Sun. Is that great? Like, why are you feeding us fucking Capri Suns? You deserved it. We deserved it. I know, but I'm just surprised that we're not drinking something that's actually going to benefit us for the game. You're not. It's almost like a Pope's game thing. It comes up with the post game snacks. Yeah. Oh, yeah, post game. Sure. We'd have like Rice Krispies and shit. Yes. Yeah. We have one snack mom that would do like the extra large pretzel sticks like the cigars. Oh, yeah. Oh, yeah. She would dip them herself in chocolate. Oh, the things that you know who wouldn't eat those like Rice Krisner treats and the best kids on the team. Just like, I'm better than this. Like, they went home to work out that day. And we were, we were fucking nine years old. Oh, they'd be like, Oh, no, I'm good. Thanks. My parents are taking me to Ruth's Kris thing. Also, I hate the name of that restaurant. It doesn't, it doesn't even make sense. Ruth's Kris. Terrible. People make you think of that fucking restaurant because I think there's a story behind why it's called Ruth's Kris steakhouse because I think that there was a place called Chris's steakhouse and a lady named Ruth bought it but made it really popular. So it was Ruth's Kris steakhouse. There's like some story behind why it's called that. So it's Ruth's Kris steakhouse. So yeah, because the founder Ruth Fertel added her, her own first name to the front of the already existing sign Kris steakhouse name after a 1976 fire forester to move to a new location. And so I think she should change the name to Ruth's Christmas steakhouse Christmas Christmas. Yeah, there's something. There's something like very high end about that. Like if I saw it all my magic, Ruth's Christmas steakhouse, I'm going to it. It's a Christmas steakhouse. Honey pull the car over. And it's all Christmas themed all year round. That's a, that's a financial commitment for a business, but I love where your head's at. It just makes you there a lot of people love fucking Christmas. There's like something about it, which city would be a down for a Christmas restaurant year round or ordered all out. You know, yeah, anywhere, anywhere cold anywhere cold. That's like cold. But then I feel like the hot places won a little bit of an escape. Okay. Cabo. Christmas in July. Christmas in July. Now that's a fun name for a steakhouse. That is. But it's a commitment like you going out of business. Yes. It was a dream. You're trying something. Anything just to save the business. Land it. All right. We're about to land it some other fucker. We're about to land this sloppy topper. Or sorry, soggy logger. Sloppy top. Zane. Sloppy logger. You see, and this is why they should change the name. Trying to figure out what it was like making me think to say, and I didn't know what it was in the moment until I said it. Oh, God, that's why they should change it. All right.
