Create your own AI agent today on Monday.com. Hi, Ghosties. I'm Macy. And I'm Natalie. And the backbone of this podcast has always been bringing all of these thrilling, spooky stories that we can think on for days, weeks, even months sometimes. Some of the most horrifying tales aren't about the popular haunted buildings or encounters captured on TV for views, but the real-life experiences from those in this community. The Ghosties have some of the most horrifying stories of their own. You can check our back catalog. There are some years later. Years later, we're still thinking on. And it is a joy and pleasure to be able to tell those stories each week. This week is no different. Aside from switching up our episode order, today, for a relaxing Labor Day, we're bringing you several haunting accounts from the people who listen to this podcast with all of us each week. Haunted historic homes, shadows in the night, and sleep paralysis encounters that are sure to put you in that spooky mood we're all craving this time of year. Yes, I'm so excited. What an intro. Oh, thanks. That, like, set me up to be like, heck yeah, man. I do want to hear these stories from our community members. Oh, I always am in the mood for a Listener Stories episode. Such a good time. Yes. So, our tea today is one of the Disney teas that was given to us by a friend. It's bouncy, pouncy orange. It has Tigger on it. We can't tell. All right. Well, I'm intrigued by the smell. I haven't smelled it yet. It says herbal tea. It's bursting with tangy citrus flavors of hibiscus and apple. Hmm. But it's called orange. Well, it's got also got orange in it. Okay, cool. Well, I'm ready to go. Let's go. If you've tried to quit vaping or smoking and always end up going back, you need to try our latest sponsor, Fume. Your willpower isn't the problem. How you're trying to quit is. Nicotine pouches, patches, and gum only address the nicotine while still keeping you reliant on it. Cold turkey is hard. It forces you to focus on every craving and rely on willpower alone. But vaping and smoking aren't just a nicotine problem. They're a habit problem. The hand-to-mouth motion, the inhale, the stress break, the thing you reach for automatically throughout the day. After repeating that loop over and over, your brain learns to expect it. That's exactly why Fume works. Third-party surveys have rated Fume twice as effective as other quit solutions on the market. Fume is a flavored air device made from real wood and metal that gives your hands, mouth, and brain something better to reach for when cravings hit. Fume has no nicotine, no vapor, and no batteries. It isn't designed to mimic vaping. It's designed to help you quit. I have my own Fume device right here and bought one for my husband long before they sponsored us, and I really like it. It's heavy and feels like a real device, not just some toy. The fidget function is my favorite part, and it's something that I genuinely play with while working throughout the day. There are tons of flavors to choose from, like their minty flavors that give you a bit of that throat hit. But my favorite are the fruity flavors, especially mango. It smells and tastes really great. And something I like about Fume is that the vapor isn't super strong. It's like flavored water is to soda. It's not overwhelming, but still good for something without electronics. From now until September 15th, you can get 30% off the Good Habit Hack with everything you need to kick back into gear after summer. It's going to be fun. And get your habits back on track. Plus, use our code GHOSTIES at checkout to get a free Fume topper. More than 1 million people have already chosen Fume to quit differently. The only question is whether you're ready to take that first step. Remember, addiction is really good at saying later. Don't let it. Head to tryfume.com, that's T-R-Y-F-U-M dot com, to get 30% off the Good Habit Pack. Use code GHOSTIES at checkout to get your free Fume topper. Thanks, Fume. This Monday.com ad was created by a team of people, and AI agents. That was the second. She had one note. So, minutes. They can't all be hits. It's tangy. It tastes like potpourri. Yeah. A little bit. Yeah. Heavy on the hibiscus. It's like, you know how it's called like a hibiscus flower? Yeah. Okay, to me that's like hibiscus flower. Like it's like flower. How you feel about lavender too? Sometimes, yeah. It's very earthy. I was just watching Baby Mama last night, and he's like, it's got an earthy taste, a bit of a dirt taste. It's very nice. That's how I feel about this tea. That is one of my all-time favorites. It's earthy. Yeah, I watched it last night, and it gave me some comfort. I'm going to reward you with 10 minutes straight. Five minutes. Oh, five minutes straight of direct eye contact. Uninterrupted eye contact. Just staring. So funny. Sorry, I butchered that. You did, but I only remembered it because I watched it literally a few hours ago. The point came across, I hope. Go watch that movie today. It actually leaves Netflix this month, by the way. Oh, I don't need it on Netflix because I have it downloaded on my iTunes account. Yes, you do. I bought it on iTunes. When I was like 12 years old. Yep, shouldn't have been watching it, but for sure. It was that and Inception. Yes. And the SpongeBob SquarePants movie. Yes, and I had all three of those on my iPod. Yes, you're welcome. All right, our first story is unsigned, so anonymous. Starting strong. Hey, ghosties, I've been binge listening to your podcast for the past couple of months, and I thought I would share one of my experiences as well. I live in Athens, Greece, and ever since I was a kid, I was always drawn to the spooky and paranormal, even though I'm terrified of it. entities and stuff like that. So we have a mountain right outside the city full of forests, and it's a beautiful place for hikes. There's also an abandoned sanatorium there, very known for being haunted. It has a very big history behind it and many urban legends surrounding it, as it's believed to be Greece's most haunted building. And just the sight of it brings a very weird feeling. Back in late October 2019, me and a friend of mine decided to have a little spooky trip there, since it was Halloween season. There was security outside. We had to keep people out, but we sneaked in from the back of the building like many others were also doing. I had been there one more time before that, and the moment I went inside, both times, the air felt heavier and colder. So I explored all the floors, took some pictures, and then went to the basement. It was very dark, and there were a couple of other people there exploring, so it wasn't as scary as it would have been. At some point, we found a hallway leading to a dead end, but on my right, I saw a small dark room with another little staircase, leading further down in complete darkness. Just at the side of that staircase, I felt a sinking feeling, like we weren't supposed to go down there. And I was literally shivering. I told my friend we shouldn't go, but he really wanted to explore more, so we opened our phones' flashlights and went further down. At this point, it was just the two of us, and it was so quiet, we couldn't even hear the other people above us. The air was so heavy, almost suffocating. And there were dark splatters everywhere. We didn't know what they were, but they left us. They literally looked like old blood, and there were old, broken furniture, chairs, stuff like that. We kept going until we reached another very small hallway. I was in front of my friend, looking down, while walking, when I looked up, and from the corner of the hall, I saw a tall, black figure of a woman. She seemed like she had long hair, or maybe a veil, like the ones the nuns wear, and a long dress. She was literally in front of me. I screamed so loud, took a couple of steps back, and fell on my feet. Then I looked up, and I saw my friend, and then he saw her, too. We got up and ran so fast, I don't even know how we found our way back to the first basement, because it was a maze down there, but I was actually crying and shaking, and that heavy feeling stayed until we left the premises. I never went back there, and every time I think about it, I get the same feeling. Sorry if this was too long, I hope you guys enjoyed it, and I would love to hear your thoughts on it. Also, here's a picture of the building. Oh, yes. Ugh, I love… I love a little added photo. Or video. Just evidence. Ooh. Oh, yeah. Yeah, that's haunted. That's… Yep. That's a haunted building, for sure. Oh, that's creepy. And the friend… Okay, it always gets me in a ghost sighting story or any type of paranormal story when we see the thing, and then you have time to react, and then someone else sees it, too, and it doesn't just automatically disappear. It stays there. It's like, "Oh, you see me? Okay. Fine." That's scary to me. I agree. Because why does it not want to be, you know… Oops, it's like it meant for you to see it. Almost, yeah. Yeah. i wonder if it's a former worker were there nuns there working or could be like when people pass or something or yeah tending to people who believed in the the faith yeah oh i don't know either way i do not want to be in that vicinity i just the heavy feeling too lots of i'm sure trauma and stains on the timeline yeah oof but here's our next story this is from ether hey yeah i'm a new fan discovered the pod through youtube recommendations and couldn't be more pleased with it loving the pod so far secondly a lot of my stories are strange and i am unsure if they are really paranormal or if we can just chalk it up to a wild imagination i tell my mother about these experiences but she hates scaring me and so will not give me a straight answer as to if it's paranormal or not as she's the only one who really understands my stories for context my mother herself has some paranormal experiences my family was born in a pakistani village and as another listener said we don't believe in spirits but we believe in jinn she said that one day she was cleaning up in our bedroom and my older sister was playing in the courtyard i wasn't born yet and all of a sudden she heard what sounded like a goat in the room she got confused and started looking about and realized it was coming from a radio or walkie-talkie she looked in the back and there were no batteries that's just one of her experiences and it's quite light-hearted no toys that's horrifying stories like that where toys are playing or things are happening without batteries without a power source freaked me out every time yeah on to my experiences when i was seven years old i got ill and had a fever i was upstairs and resting my eyes were shut and all of a sudden i felt like i needed to open my eyes and look at the door i did and there was a tall man with a top hat just walking into my room like he owned it but he wasn't a man he was just a silhouette of course you can just call it a fever dream but i saw him again in the garden a couple of weeks later when i was all better no one believed me when i told them in another instance i had been on the receiving end of religious trauma and so i strayed from abrahamic faith i delved into paganism and witchcraft i found myself worshiping lucifer but not the devil the greek god i got really interested in the gotia the lesser key of solomon would love to see an episode about that one day i was pacing around in my upstairs hallway i'm pretty sure i had maladaptive daydreaming disorder and i get a feeling of pure unease like genuine fear i turn around and at the end of the hallway is my older sister's room i see a cloaked figure hunched over almost hiding in her room but only for a split second before it disappeared it went straight into my room my heart was racing by this point and my mirror hanging on the wall was swinging and not just slightly like full on swaying i have severe insomnia and i would hear someone pacing in the same hallway that i paced footsteps and all but none i recognized we still live in this home and all my family have at least one experience my mom says that if we do have something in our house it's good because it's woken her and my sister up for prayer time in the morning when they've slept through their alarms thought i'd leave on a nicer note please feel free to ask about anything to do with islamic folklore regarding jinn would love to answer all your questions warm regards ether oh my okay the mirror is what really stood out to me i think it's the mirror i think it's the mirror i think it's the out to me and all of that because it's like did it just jump back into the mirror as like a portal type thing is that not what you were thinking yeah i was about to say i knew you were thinking that because it was big into the mirror portal thing that's really scary and like does it just have open access through that one mirror or is it just anywhere in the house this is why people seal their mirrors when they get a new mirror for their home but we'll move on to our next story this one is from jen hi macy and natalie hope you two are well this halloween season i have a little story for you that might tickle your spooky taste buds i've always been pretty in tune spiritually with quite a strong psychic sense and have witnessed many strange occurrences since childhood but this one sticks out in particular to set the scene my boyfriend lives in a single-story bungalow around this time last year he had a staffordshire bull terrier called mini mini used to sit in my boyfriend's bedroom doorway and stare absently into the hallway all the time and he was a little bit on one occasion i was sitting in his room as the dog was looking into the hallway a few seconds later i see a dark gray shadow walk through the hall from left to right of the doorway i immediately internally freak out but i don't tell my boyfriend until about a week later to which he says oh that must be my nana she walks through sometimes oh okay just a little lore drop just casual then about a few months later i was walking up to his house the bathroom window is to the left of the front door and his bedroom window is to the right as i'm walking up to the front door i see that the light a bathroom light is on at this moment i think of banging on the window thinking he's on the toilet but i decide not to do that as he hates people scaring him it takes me literally two seconds to open the front door and walk into the hallway i look to the left of the bathroom and the light is off and my boyfriend has been sitting in his bedroom opposite all that time but even if he had been in the bathroom i would have come through the door as he's walking across the hallway in front of me apparently his mom is also a believer in the paranormal but i definitely think his house is haunted if you'd like to hear more creepy stories i would happily send them your way regards jen first of all yes yes do you think it was actually his grandma or nana or whatever he said or do you think that's just something he's told himself because he's like it's fine it's just nana if he feels like it's his nana then maybe it is but also if he thinks it's his nana then maybe it is but also if he thinks it's his nana then maybe it is his nana then it can't be negative right yeah but this person says it like freaks them out well if you see a shadow in your home alone walking past the door it's gonna scare you see that's the thing like there are some things that would scare me if it happened yeah but then i there are moments where i've been scared inside my body feeling yes yeah like every cell in my body is feeling fear yeah like if a pan falls to the ground i'm scared because of noise yeah but if it's a pan i'm scared because of the noise but like i'm not freaked you know what i mean that is true that is very true yeah how do you feel about it jen do you think that this is truly his grandmother or not i don't know yeah i'd like to know but we'll move on to our next story this one's also unsigned so anonymous number two hello i love your podcast so much i put you on the big tv and i catch my boyfriend listening to you guys sometimes i love all the videos you have including your dream videos i dream a lot most of them are random and i love all the videos you have including your dream videos but there are sometimes i have terrifying nightmares and i have one to tell you guys about one that involves my sister my sister and i were sitting on the old bleachers overlooking the football field it was normal for a second and then in an instant the floor opened up beneath us there was fire and the ground was crumbling into the hole then the devil came up and reached out to try and grab our feet we tried to pull our feet up but he grabbed one of our ankles and i was so scared that it woke me up from sleep and i was still crying i couldn't sleep after that and suddenly my sister came into my room now at the time it was about four or five in the morning so everyone in the house was asleep when my sister came in i could see she was crying too so i asked her what's wrong she told me about the dream she had just had and it was the exact same dream that i did we both woke up crying at the same time we could not sleep after that so we stayed up talking about it and i was so scared that i couldn't sleep and i was so scared that i couldn't sleep about it we both were in each other's dreams and we both were at the football stadium i do not like that i don't know how you justify that i don't know how you say like oh it was just it was just what yeah it was just what see i'm into the like to the thought of shared dreams yeah not that one not shared nightmares no what does it represent why and what is there something manipulating dreams to give you the same fear yeah and for what what that is the question all the time for what for what hmm why why why also i just want to say it i've said the the word boyfriend twice and every time i say it with my braces i think of that that clip from the brady family movie the brady bunch movie my boyfriend yeah yes and i'm so embarrassed oh no i don't like that you've said that to me it's george glass george tropicana oh my god anyway just throwing that out there moving on to our next story hopefully this one doesn't have the word boyfriend in it from victoria hi ghosties i'm a new follower and love your content i've always loved investigating and learning more about the paranormal and your podcast is right up my alley i have a personal ghost experience i would like to share with you all in 2023 my sister and i decided to move out of my parents house and rent an apartment together we officially moved into our new apartment in july of 2023 one saturday we moved into our new apartment in july of 2023 we moved into our in november of that same year i had my family over and made mexican hot dogs for dinner tell me more about this mexican hot dog drop the recipe because i'm in i'm intrigued the evening went great and everyone went home at around 9 p.m i spent the rest of the night cleaning up and getting ready for bed there was a lingering smell of bacon so i decided to sleep with my bedroom window open to try and air out the area the apartment was tiny so everything was practically connected i woke up in the middle of the night to close my window as it began to get chilly in my room As I reached over to close my window, I got this sudden urge of terror and didn't want to look in the reflection to see behind me. I brushed it off and thought I was just spooking myself out as Halloween had just passed, so I shut the window and closed my curtain quickly to get to sleep. The next morning, I woke up to get ready for church. I noticed that the apartment still smelled like bacon, so I got out of bed, locked my cats in my room, and opened all the windows and doors to air out the area while I got ready. I got dressed, did my hair, and sat at the dining room table to do my makeup. And once I finished my makeup, I began cleaning up and heard something shout, hi, in a deep, gurgling voice right in my ear. Oh god, okay, sorry. Lock back in. I'm still stuck on Mexican hot dogs, though. I would like to know what those are. I am interested in Mexican hot dogs. I've seen a lot of posts on the interweb saying, like, hot dogs are real good when you don't have someone in your ear telling you they're not. It's like, yeah, they actually are. I like hot dogs, yeah. Oh god, okay. Okay, anyway, nobody was home. My sister had flipped over at her friend's house. This made me freak out to the point where I was trembling. I cleaned the fastest I've ever cleaned before, closed all the windows and doors, let the cats out, stormed out of the apartment, and went to church. The following night, I told my sister what had happened. She was shocked, but told me about an experience she had while I was at work. She was doing laundry and heard running behind her. She made the excuse that it was just the cats having the zoomies, but she knew the stomping was too heavy for a seven-pound cat. That night, my sister agreed that she would sleep in my room with me since she had the day off. When it was bedtime, I usually slept with my door closed and both my cats in the room with me, but my cats would not enter my room. I would call them, try to bribe them with treats, and even carry them into my room, but they would just storm out. The following days, the apartment felt heavy, and I would hear random noises. Our Alexa would go off, and stuff would fall in my room. My sister and I decided that it was best if we moved back in with our parents, as I did not feel safe in the apartment anymore. I quickly began to pack a bag to stay at my parents' house, and began calling to disconnect the lights, internet, etc. About a week later, I asked my mom and sister if they would go back with me to the apartment to clear out the fridge and pantry before the light was disconnected the next day. As my mom was standing in the kitchen cleaning out the pantry, she had a clear view of my sister's room, where there was an old man sitting on her bed. My mom did not tell us until we were on our way back to her house, to not scare us. Then, the week after, we all returned to gather our clothing and beds. As we approached the apartment, we realized that it was already night, and the lights had been disconnected, so we were going to be working in the dark. As we were rushing to get everything packed and out of the apartment, there was a loud crash. After looking around, we discovered the shower curtain had fallen, which was bizarre, since nobody had been in the bathroom for weeks, there was no humidity in there, or anything. We finished packing, and as we were driving away, my mom saw a tall man watching us leave from the window. The man was so tall that his head reached the top of the windowsill. Mind you, my sister is six feet, and she was nowhere near the top of the window. Thank you for reading my story, and I hope you found it spooky. Boo, Victoria. Um, I did. I did find it spooky. I did as well. And shout out to the mom for not telling y'all beforehand, because I would just say, well, burn it. I guess I don't need my clothes. I don't need any of my earthly possessions. It's fine. No, not anymore. I will forage and rebuild. It's fine. I will forage at the Goodwill. I will find more clothes. It's fine. Yeah. Everything will be okay. I don't need my stuff in this scenario. It freaks me out. If I knew that there was a man on my bed. Seeing him looking out the window as you drive away, just watching you. No. It's so icky. But it's almost like, I guess it's good you got out of there, because he's watching to say like, okay, now, don't come back. This is my home. Oh, oh, that gave me a chill. I don't like that at all. He said, Victoria. Oh, my God. Okay, we can't do this. Love the house bunny. I should watch that today. I was thinking the same thing. Oh, my God. Anna Faris. A gem. Our beds are something sacred to us. As you may know, if you've been here a while, we both look forward to changing into our PJs and relaxing at the end of every day. Today, I feel like sharing all about my Aunt Renee's house, or at least the one she lived in for quite a while a few years back. She has since moved to Texas with her husband, but owned this house in Colorado for about 10 years. She bought this house with her partner at the time, a man named Sandy. The house had a finished basement, so it didn't fit the scary basement stereotypes. It was a little bit of a mess, but it was a lot of fun. It was carpeted, the walls were painted a clean white, and it was well lit. She used it as a combination home gym and home office, from which she practiced criminal defense as an attorney. Off to one side, there was also a small area with a cement floor where the washer and dryer sat beneath a shelf, holding the usual detergent, stain remover spray, and dryer sheets. This section had its own overhead lighting, and by all means, should not have been creepy or unsettling. Shouldn't have been, but it definitely was. I remember catching the odd feeling that I had when being watched down there now and again, the hairs rising on my arms as my whole body would suddenly get covered in goosebumps, but it was always easily brushed off because the environment was so… mundane. I would occasionally house sit for my aunt when she was out of town, sometimes for a few days or sometimes for a full week. She had chickens, so she needed someone to tend to them no matter how briefly she was away. During one such occasion, I took some clothes down to the laundry room in the basement. As I was loading the washer, my hair stood up. My back tingling, as if someone was creeping up close behind me. I paused and looked over my shoulder multiple times as I transferred clothes from hamper to washing machine. Nothing was ever visible there. So I finished as quickly as I could, reassuring myself that I was just freaking myself out, I booked it back up the stairs, and convinced myself I was just being silly. Soon though, the signal that the wash cycle was finished sounded, and I had to go back down to transfer the clothes into the dryer. I wasn't looking forward to it, but I knew I was going to have to do it. I was going to have to do it. I knew it had to be done. So we went down with intentionally nonchalant body language, refusing to show any possible entities that they had me shook. This was way worse than the first trip, though. The washer was a top loader, and I am very short, approximately 4'11". So getting clothes out of the washer requires me to basically hang over the edge of the basin, reaching my full upper body down to the bottom, while my feet often mostly come up. Oh no. I would never do laundry alone. Ah, that would be really scary. scary. Yeah. The tingling sensation on my back was even stronger than the first time, a sense of dread rising up from my stomach and lodging in my throat, but I told myself I was just feeling more vulnerable this time because of the way I was hanging over the side of the washing machine. I also hated that I couldn't move as quickly as when I was originally loading the machine, and the negative feelings got more intense the longer I was down there. I once again climbed the stairs out of the basement as quickly as possible, making sure to close the door behind me when I got to the top. Retrieving the dry clothes later was done as quickly as possible and was nowhere near as bad as the previous trip down. When my aunt got home a day or two later, I mentioned the unsettling feeling to her, laughing it off as I was silly for scaring myself in an empty house. Oh, that's Bob, she said. We feel him around here all the time, and he is mean. He moves around in our room sometimes, but mostly sticks to the basement. I think he just really likes making us feel afraid. Sandy says if he dies before me, he's going to take Bob with him, so I don't ever have to live here alone with him. Sandy was about 20 years older than my aunt, so such conversations were not entirely out of place. Just the, oh yeah, that's Bob. He's mean. He's mean. Oh no. No, if I thought there was a Bob in my home that was going to be mean to me, I'd be walking around like, who do you think you are? Get out! Like, no shame. Asserting dominance. A thousand percent. Oh my gosh. Well, unfortunately, Sandy did end up passing away a few years later. Oh no. They were riding tandem on his motorcycle when he slid on a patch of sand or gravel on the road. My aunt walked away from the accident with a sprained ankle and some scrapes and bruises, but Sandy died from his injuries in the hospital a week or so later. Oh, that's awful. Yeah, it's very sad. I'm so sorry. A few days after coming home from the hospital, after Sandy transitioned from this plane, my aunt was in the living room when she heard noises in the bedroom directly above her. She said it sounded like a fight was taking place in her bedroom. Loud thumps and rattles as if body weight was being thrown around her. And objects knocked over. Sandy was a third-degree black belt in kimpo karate. When my aunt went into her room after the noises died down, she said it also looked like a fight had taken place. Pictures and papers that had been on top of the dresser were now on the floor and the bedding was rumpled in spite of having been neatly made that morning. None of us ever felt Bob's negativity in the house again after that day. Period. Wow. Shout out, Sandy. That is incredible. Also kind of makes me like emotional. I know. Speaking of Sandy, I saw him myself about a year and a half after he had died. By this point, my aunt had started a new relationship and had recently moved her new boyfriend into the home along with his two young sons. I would often babysit them while my aunt worked downstairs so she could focus on the needs of her legal clients without interruption from the boys. There were also days where I would be the only adult in the house because she was in court meetings, hearings, and trials. On one such day, the boys were upstairs in their rooms, taking a nap, and I was sitting on the living room couch reading a book. The front door was directly ahead of me from where I was seated. My aunt had one of Sandy's favorite flannels hanging on a coat hook just inside the door as she had taken to wearing it frequently herself. At one point, I glanced up over the top of my book and saw Sandy in full color and looking just as solid as if he were here in the flesh. He was wearing the flannel that had been hanging there and was leaned forward pulling on a shoe as if it was on any other day and he was preparing to go somewhere. I blinked, expecting him to disappear when I did, but he was still there after my eyes flicked back open. We briefly made eye contact and exchanged small nods in acknowledgement of each other's presence. Then he was gone. There was no slow fade. He never walked away or changed positions. He just suddenly wasn't there anymore. I told my aunt about it that evening while we ate dinner together. She looked briefly sad but then said, I've never seen him like that, but I know he checks in on me sometimes. I felt his presence in the house before, felt the bed dip down before and warmth and gets my back like he was cuddling me a few times after he died. He shows up less now that Matt and the boys have moved in, but I know he's happy. I moved on and am building a new life. He told me that's what he would want in conversations before the accident. Just to know that I was happy and loved by someone if he couldn't be here with me anymore. Matt and my aunt later married. Now live on the beach in Texas, something my aunt had always wanted. She and Sandy both loved the beach and she feels his presence whenever blue herons come near or fly overhead. And when she's missing him, their song will frequently start to play on the radio. Oh my God. Oh my God. This is bad, but like good, but bad. It's a beautiful story. Was that the end? No, I've got a few more, but there is a light story. There's a lighthearted one at the end too. No, of that story. That's just where they ended it. Oh yeah. That's the end of that story. Yeah. Oh my God. R.I.P. Sandy. What a good soul. What a beautiful love. Taking care of them in life and the afterlife. Oh my God. Maybe I'll put that in my vows. You should. Ryan doesn't watch this. He won't know, but like I'll haunt you. Oh, so like not taking care. No, no, no. Taking care in a different way. Yeah. With fists. No, I'm just kidding. Well, Sandy. Just to someone else. Yeah. To Bob, whoever that may be. Oh my gosh. I am not okay. But this next story is from Amber. Hello, ghosties. My name is Amber. I just started listening a few weeks ago and felt the need to share a sequence of events from my childhood. So buckle up. It started when I was 11. I'm 22 now. I woke up around 5 a.m. one morning with the unshakable feeling that someone was watching me. I got out of bed and decided to go to my sister's room. After getting into bed with her, the feeling was still there. I was like, I'm going to go to my sister's room. I'm going to I kept peering into the hallway every few seconds when finally I saw him. A little boy, no older than five to seven years old, standing at my parents' bedroom door, staring down the hallway. He looked like the epitome of a ghost, somewhat transparent, not super distinguishable features. I hid under the covers and fell back asleep. When I was 12, my friend was at my house and suggested we make a Ouija board. I didn't know what that was, so she told me to Google it. I agreed, but was hesitant. We made the board and played it in my backyard. It wasn't in the house, so it's fine, right? Wrong. They wrote that, not me. We connected with a little boy named Mark. He was five years old. Remember this? Mark said he died on my property. After a bit of talking to him, my friend's face turns pale and into shock as she stares past me and yells, I see you. I will never forget her face, even 10 years later. No. No, no, no, no, no, no, no. This session began my obsession with Ouija boards that went on for about a year and a half. If you want more stories on that, let me know. Fast forward to when I was 13. My life is a living paranormal hell, all due to my actions, of course. My house was so full of dark energy, and I was the only one experiencing it. I was sleeping on my parents' bedroom floor in a sleeping bag every single night with my earbuds in and sleeping little. Every night, I would hear footsteps running up and down my hallway. Drawers would open. I'd wake up with scratches, and bruises. There would be voices. One night, my family and I were sitting down for dinner. Out of nowhere, my dad asked me, you know that little boy you see around the house? I said, yeah. And he told me, well, I was telling my coworker about our house, and he told me that he knew the man who built our house. The man had five sons. In the building process, his youngest was run over by a machine and died. His name was Mark, and he was five years old. Oh my gosh. All I could do was cry. I felt crazy, but now my encounters were confirmed, and my parents believed me. I played with Ouija boards a bit longer, then decided to stop when I realized I'd gotten a dark spiritual attachment to me. I still experienced some paranormal activity while living there, just not as strong. Like when I was 18 and would occasionally hear my dog sighing under my bed, only to discover he wasn't there. Or when my boyfriend moved in and he would watch his Xbox turn on by itself. It was never malevolent after the Ouija board session stopped, just kind of annoying. Anyway, thank you for reading, Amber. Ouch. You saw and spoke to Mark. It's really sad. It is really sad. Also, I thought they were going to elaborate more on the friend saying, I see you. So I was waiting to be like, they saw this, this, and this, but just leave it at that. Was it Mark? I hope so. And not something scarier. Yeah. I don't know. Her face turned pale. I need to put my feet up. Oh, that scared me. Feet can't be on the floor right now. That's really scary. No, that's very spooky. I'm picturing they're outside, right? Yeah. And I'm just picturing they're looking out at the trees and someone like peeks around. Comes out from behind the tree. I see you. And then they like go back. Oh, no, no, no, no, no, no. That's the image that was being painted for me. And I don't like it. I also don't enjoy that very much. Moving on to our next story. This one is from Isabella. I'm AC and Natalie. I've been a longtime listener and watcher of your podcast and tune in every week. I love your videos and they are so comforting. I always have them constantly playing on my TV. I've wanted to write in for a while and I have two stories for both of you from my childhood of my paranormal experiences, even though I have a lot more. I grew up in a Victorian house in one of the many historic districts of my town. My town was very active during the French and Indian War, Civil War, and the World War II and has a lot of history. When my parents were married, we lived in this house and all adored it. My mother threw huge Halloween parties and various celebrations and had a lot of fun. I've been a big fan of this house. I've been a big fan of this And it was very lived in, but not by just. us. My first interaction with a spirit was one night when I was laying in my bed. I'm unsure about how old I was, but I remember being fairly young, about 5 years old. I was watching TV with my dog by my side and the house was completely dark aside from the light coming from my TV. I remember looking at my doorframe, where I could see across the foyer to my parents' room that was directly across from mine, then looking back to my TV. I looked once again to see this large dark figure standing in my doorway. The figure was tall and I couldn't completely see its features, but I could tell it was a man wearing a wig and a fluffy yet serious outfit and had a lighter dark aura around it. I immediately peed myself and once it had disappeared I ran into my parents' room somehow while crying. My mom consoled me but didn't seem too concerned, probably because it was the middle of the night. It wasn't until years later and I began school that I realized what or who the figure may have been. I believe that the figure, or man, was a soldier, probably from the colonial period due to what he was wearing, a uniform and traditional wig. I don't know why he was there, I assume now that he once lived there due to my town's history and specifically my houses, but throughout the years my grandma, who will return in this story, has said that my story has not changed at all. The horror of that house doesn't stop there either. When I got older and we eventually moved out of that house is when my family and I were able to get together and my family members began to tell me stories of their experiences in there as well. My mom told me that once she was cleaning up after a party with one of her friends and they were the only people in the house when they heard footsteps upstairs. They looked at each other, scared, but my mom was very familiar with the activity in the house and said something along the lines of they're awake again to her friend, meaning the ghosts. I'm leaving immediately. On another occasion, my grandma was babysitting me while my parents were on their honeymoon. I was so excited to see her. I was so excited to see moon and was sitting downstairs in the living room. It was late at night and she heard the front doors fly open. She figured that my parents were home from their trip and eagerly got up to greet them. To her surprise, she found no one at the front door or outside. She even went onto the porch and looked down the street to find no one. Keep in mind, we had two sets of doors, screen doors, and giant heavy wooden doors that were original to the house. Both flung open, which was impossible because no wind gusts have ever opened the doors before and they were relatively hard to open because they were so heavy. My grandma also told me of an occasion where she was again watching me and in the same living room when my same dog who was laying with me on my bed when I saw the spirit was lying in our hallway that went from the front door to the stairs. He was a chocolate lab and an angel on earth, so my grandma was quite disturbed when she heard him growling at the staircase at nothing as he was not the type to growl at anyone. Don't worry, it gets better. One of my brothers also told me that once he had one of his best friends spend the night, and his friend woke up with scratches on the back of his neck. Both of our dogs, the chocolate lab and our Jack Russell terrier, were not the type of dogs to do this. Neither were my brothers and I, because why would we? The last account from this house was my dad, who does not exactly believe in ghosts but does not deny them. His account is not a ghost story but does not aid a positive history of the house. I was entering the door one day to a guy who used to live in the house who just wanted to look around. This seems weird, but I promise it was not as we live in a very small town. I don't care. That is like the start of a scary movie. Oh, I just want to look around and then he plants some kind of curse or something. You know? I didn't think about that. Leaves an amulet, leaves some kind of negative thing. Yeah. Okay, I didn't think about that. This person just actually really used to live here. Sure. My dad and the guy walked through the house on every floor and every room. Once they reached the attic, the guy said, if you knock down this wall, there's a slave tunnel. We covered it up when I lived here. I don't remember if my dad believed him or not initially, but he had no choice but to believe him because my mom shortly after made him tear the wall down. Yes, they found a slave tunnel in the exact wall. And we later learned that our neighborhood and specifically our house was a part of the Underground Railroad. Besides knowing this about the house, I have not done any outside research, probably out of fear. But with the experiences my family and I had, I just wonder how many people lived in that house and who still resides there. Since living there, I recall one nightmare that I had in the house, and I don't remember what age I had it at, but it was one of me jumping from the top of the staircase to the bottom. Don't know what that means, but it is imprinted in my memory. Did they survive in the dream? They just jumped from the top to the bottom, just like a little jump? I do not know. I do not know. But being a part of the Underground Railroad, there was a lot of emotion, heavy emotion coming through that house. We've had a few stories where we've read where they say, oh, it was a part and we felt heavy energy all the time. So this is common. About a year or so after my accounts in the Victorian home, my parents split and I was living with my mom in an apartment and my dad above his law firm. My dad's law firm was an old building, probably a couple hundred years old, and I always felt like I was being watched. Besides feeling like I was being watched, never really seeing anything, this house dramatically impacted my sleep. I was never a sleepwalker growing up, but once my dad found me sleepwalking down our spiral staircase. I've had numerous nightmares of trying to escape that house, and as I try to get out, the house keeps growing more and more rooms, specifically when I would go down the spiral staircase. Those stairs were always in my dreams of the house. But what's really haunting, and I still try to block out of my memory today, is my first and only experience of sleepwalking. Sleep paralysis. I remember very early in the morning, I snuck into my dad's room and into his bed. Later that morning, I woke up, but I couldn't move. I was able to look over to the large window that was at my side of the bed, and out of the corner of my eye, hiding in the sunblock curtains, was a dark figure with wings. I immediately shut my eyes and pretend I didn't see whatever it was and fall asleep, but all of a sudden I felt this immense weight on top of me. I opened my eyes to see a red and black devil-looking figure, when I shut my eyes out of fear, I could not open again. But I felt as if it was shutting my eyes closed and pinning me down. Yes, I know it's terrifying, but believe it or not, it didn't stop there. My mom would occasionally come to the house and clean my dad's offices and conference spaces downstairs to collect some extra change and help my dad out. Often, she would do this alone and at night. I can see Natalie shaking her head and biting her nails right now. I love- Witch! I'm not- Roll the tapes. Roll the tapes. I literally was like finger in my mouth, head shaking. As soon as you started shaking your head, I was like, "Oh, this is hilarious." Oh, I feel way too seen right now. Who is this? Where are you right now? What is it? What is his name? Angela? Uh, no, um, um, Isabella. Isabella. Confirmed witch. Get her. I'm seeing the world again. Okay. Once she was cleaning downstairs, and the only one there, she heard high heel footsteps walking in the hallway upstairs, which was entirely carpeted until it reached the very small kitchen. She told my dad after that she wouldn't come back, especially alone, but she did return shortly after with a ghost investigation team from our local college to seek out what was going on in the house. With my dad and mom both present, the team did their thing, and I'm not sure much of what happened or if things did happen, and my mom just didn't tell me for my peace of mind. But what she did tell me was that the team was using one of their camera tools that detected thermal energy, not sure what it's called. They ran the camera over my mom and saw a small child attached to her leg. Not long after, moving out of the firm, I was told that the building used to be a nursing home a long time ago. No wonder why I felt I was being watched all the time, because who knows how many people passed on in that house. But it doesn't answer why there was a child attached to my mom's leg, or what I saw in my dad's room that held me down. Oh yeah, no, that's horrifying. Thank you so much for listening to my story, if you guys read it. I hope it was a good scare. Um, I've been waiting to share with you both for so long. Sorry that this is fairly lengthy. XOXO, Isabella. I don't know what to say. One, I was called out. I was predicted accurately, and that's actually insane. I want to watch that back, because my shock was genuine. I do not read these beforehand. I don't know what to do with myself right now. I feel very strange. Like, my hands are sweating, the backs of my knees are sweating, but I can't put my legs down because I feel scared. Um, why was there a child attached to the mom's leg? I don't know, that's interesting to me. I, I'm scared. Where'd the child come from? But I'm also just stunned. I'm really stunned. I think the scariest story for me was the sleep paralysis story. Wings. It had wings. It's like a, a demon, like the typical demon you, you think of, like. Yeah. I don't like it. I don't like anything about any of that. Not at all. But thank you for a good laugh too, Isabella. I feel really insane right now. I'm not even joking. Okay. Well, we have one more story. I forget that we're being perceived. We're being watched. I really do. I really do. We're on video. Ooh. Ooh. We have one more story. Like I said, it's lighthearted. It's a short one. This is from Karen.
