Speaker 11 Corinthians chapter 12 verse 18, okay, he says, but now had God
Speaker 2set the members, where? Every one of them, how many of them? In the body, how? As it had pleased him, so I said to you that there is grace, God gives grace, all right, and that grace sets us in a place in the body, and it is for a definite race that we have to run, and we have, I mean, gone through a lot of things, five things that I believe must be in the consciousness of the believer, number one is body consciousness, consciousness of the body, grace consciousness, three is what? Place consciousness, four is what? Race consciousness, five is what? Reward consciousness, let's go a bit further into the subject of this grace tonight, he says, God has set members in the body as it has pleased him, not as it has pleased them, and the word set means set, have you ever heard artisan saying, it sets, you know what set means there, it means it's fixed, he sets, he establishes members in the body as it has pleased him, it's not a casual thing, it's a covenant thing, glory to God, now, you read in Romans chapter 12, same text we have been reading from verse 3, we have been reading from verse 3, he says, for I say, through the grace given unto me, to every man that is among you, not to think of himself more highly than you ought to think, but to think soberly, according as God hath dealt to every man, what? The measure of faith, verse 4, for as we have many members in one body, and all members have not the same office, so we being many are what? One body in Christ, and everyone members one of another, verse 6, standing gifts differing according to the grace that is given to us, and then he begins to list some of those things, and he tells us what to do with that grace, glory to God, now, 1 Peter chapter 4, just giving us all of our core texts, before we dive into it, 1 Peter chapter 4, and verse 10, every man had received, as every man had what? Received the gift, how many persons? Every man, come and talk to me, how many persons have received? Every man had received the gift, even so ministered the same one to another, as good stewards of the many-sided grace of God, then he begins to list some of those gifts of grace again, if any man speaks, let him speak as an oracle, as the oracles of God, if any man ministers, let him do it as of what? The ability, which God giveth, now let's read that last sentence together, I want you to go, that God in all things may be glorified through Jesus Christ, to whom be praise and dominion forever and ever, and you said what? Amen, let's define again what grace is, number one, let's define again what grace is, it is the kindness and generosity of God, I gave that to Ross, I think last week or two weeks ago, the kindness and generosity of God revealed, let me add this to qualify what we're saying, the kindness and generosity of God revealed in the person and the work of Jesus Christ, the kindness and the generosity of God revealed in the person and the work of Jesus Christ, you'll agree with me that the entire Bible is about grace, do you agree with me? The entire scriptures is all about grace, all about grace, everything. Now, the challenge however, is when we restrict our understanding to just one aspect of it. So you have people who literally, what's the word now, and I want to be careful how I say this, but they literally make the entire thing about just one thing. The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ is lavish. The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ is inexplicable. It is abundant. The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ is a wonder. Are you listening to what I'm saying here? The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ expressed in the person and the ministry of Jesus Christ, the grace of God expressed in the person and ministry of Jesus Christ, His work on the cross is completely alien to the human mind. That is true. The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ is what brings us into salvation. It is what forgives our sins. Am I right? We all know this. We have songs about it. The overwhelming, never-ending love of God. Beautiful. But you see, as you start the Bible the more, you realize that Paul uses the word grace in more varied ways than just what Christ did on the cross. And you have to, sincerely speaking, you have to be, you have to lack scriptural integrity to be blind to it. You have to lack scriptural integrity to be blind to it that he uses the word grace in far more ways than just restricting it to what Christ did on the cross. Obviously, every expression of grace is taken from what Christ did on the cross. Every expression of grace, manifold grace of God, is taken from what Christ did on the cross. There will be no subject, no conversation of grace, except through the cross. However, to reduce it, and all you have to say is, you know, he saved us, we are forgiven, we have heaven in us now, we're righteous, we're new creations. To what end? Why did he save us? Why are we forgiven? And then this comes, this leads us to the second aspect of grace, which is what I call the divine influence. Please never forget it. The divine influence of God. When God puts his influence upon a man's life, the divine influence of God, that causes him to be and to do. If you're taking notes, please note those two things. The divine influence of God that causes him to be and that causes him to do. Which means God places his ability, his power upon your life, and it grants you the ability, the capacity to be something or someone and to do something. Glory to God. Now, every born again child of God has grace. God has placed his grace upon you, and I'm not speaking here in terms of the grace that saved you alone. I'm not speaking here in terms of the grace that washed away your sins alone. I'm speaking here in terms of an ability given to you of God. Every born again, there's not one of us, there's not one believer who's born into the kingdom, set into the kingdom, who does not have that unique ability given to him of God, to stand and to serve in a way that nobody else can. You know, I hear things like, people saying things like, you know, be careful, you're replaceable. You're not. Oh yes, you're not. You're not. You see, to say you're replaceable means that God has clones. You're not. We need you. You can't fail. Do you understand what I'm saying here? Did you hear what I said? You can't fail. We don't have a second like you. We don't have, are you getting what I'm saying here? You don't, we don't have another one like you. The unique imprint of God is upon your life and he's called you to do it in a way that no other person can. Now, it's important that you learn this and you're aware of this. I mean, obviously, if you're not careful, that leads you into pride thinking, I'm one of a kind. Man, nobody can do it like I can do it. Well, God is going to get somebody to do the job the way he can do it. You see what I'm saying here? But nobody can do it the way you will do it and God needs you. He needs you. Are you following what I'm saying here? So, he places his unique grace within your life. It is wrong and dishonoring to God to say I'm not needed. To actually feel or think that you're not needed. It is wrong and completely dishonoring to God. Dishonoring to the investment that he's placed on your life. Unique investment that he's placed there. It is wrong completely. Glory to God. And it is dishonoring to God to say I don't matter. Satan sells those ideas. You don't matter. I mean, what does it matter? Whether you come to church or not, they don't know. Whether this happens or not, they don't know. Please look at the person beside you and tell them they matter. Well, you matter. I thought you would translate what I said into the right thing. You matter. Glory to God. Hallelujah. Hallelujah. So we must begin to discover what we have. Galatians 5 26, 25. We read it on Sunday, but we are not doing sync or sync today. We're doing graces places and races from the same scripture okay galatians 5 26 let's read together i want to go 25 pardon me 25 want to go if we live in the spirit let us also how many of you are reading let us also start you in the spirit i know that's what you're reading but look at verse 26 very important this is where we're going to want to go let us not be desirous of vain glory provoking one another envying one another can i have this in the message translation or the passion translation and the passion translation i'd like to read it in both translations verse 25 and verse 26 galatians 5 25 do we have it galatians 5 25 and 26 i'd like us to read it in these translations 25 25 and 26 glory to god um galatians 5 25 and 26 i'd read it in the passion translation it says if the spirit is the source of our life we must also allow the spirit to direct every aspect of our lives it says so may we never so may we never be arrogant or look down on another for each of us is an original did you read that each of us is an original He says, so may we never be arrogant or look down on another, for each of us is an original. We must forsake all jealousy or comparison. Let me add in that. Forsake all jealousy or comparison, all envy, all competition. He says, why? For each of us is what? An original. Say with me, each of us is an original. He says, we must forsake all jealousy that diminishes the value of others. Let me read it to you in the message translation. Message translation. Are we still together today? We're building up to something. Galatians 5.25. Well, you know, message translation always has a message. So it's a long one there. It says, since this is the kind of life we have chosen, the life of the spirit, let us make sure that we do not just hold it as an idea in our heads or as a sentiment in our hearts, but work out its implications in every detail of our lives. Let us make sure that we do not just hold it as an idea in our heads or as a sentiment in our hearts, but work out its implications in every detail of our lives, that means we will not compare ourselves with each other as if one of us were better and another worse. We have far more interesting things to do with our lives. Please look at the person beside you and tell them, I have far more interesting things to do in my life than to be comparing myself with you. Look at it. It says, we have far more interesting, there's so much to discover about yourself. So much God has put inside. Each of us is an original. Glory to God. Are you still with me today? So, each of us is an original. There's a way you would think no other person can. There's what you bring to the table nobody else can bring to the table. Now, how do I say this? And I say it carefully. So, it's important you hear what I'm saying and you don't run away with what I did not say. Let me start out from the easier one, the simple one, and then I'll get into that. I was saying to someone earlier on today, which is something that I've shared several times. You must know the difference between instruction and counsel. So, instruction comes from God. Counsel comes from men. Now, the scripture talks about how that with good counsel, you wage war. With good counsel, you wage war. But good counsel does not send you to war. The reason why you're at war is not because you were counseled to go to war. You're at war because you were instructed to go to war. However, you can get counsel on how to prosecute the war. Which means counsel is what people bring in. And you must know the people who are that safety net of counsel for you. But instruction comes from the spirit of God. But eventually, everybody will stand before God to give an account for instruction, not counsel. Which means God is not going to say to you that because such and such said this to you, you are. Excused. What he's going to say to you is what I said to you. That's what's binding in your life. This is important. So, you must separate instruction from counsel. Instruction is what comes from God's spirit. Sacrosanct. Counsel is wisdom in the heart of men to help you in the pursuit of instruction. I'm building up to something here. So, one day, and see how this plays out. The man by the name David is called by his father to go to the field to check what his brothers are doing because there was war and all the rest. He gets to the battlefront. And then there was a giant by the name Goliath who was, you know, coming against the children of Israel. And so he says, well, I can handle this man. Saul looks at him and says, listen, he's been a warrior from his youth and your body youth. The man says to him, David says to Saul, he says, the way God helped me with the lion and with the bear, I believe God is going to help me with this giant. So Saul looks at him and says, well, son, if that's what you want to do, it's fine. Then he takes the best armor in town and places it upon David, gives him the best sword. I mean, this is, this, this is a warrior's delight, a warrior's dream in Israel that you have Saul's armor, the king's armor placed literally, I mean, just placed upon him. And then the Bible, the Bible tells us that David tried to move out. Then he made a statement. He said, I cannot use this. For I have not tried it. So what does he do? He removes the armor, which is meant to be the best armor in all of the city, in all of the nation, removes the armor, goes to the stream to get stones. Tried stones are better than the king's armor. Which means, listen to me. It's extremely important when, when you get to certain places in life. There are tests you will have, you know, and I don't think many believers have that spiritual sophistication to know that tests come in life. God actually tests people. Oh yeah, he tests people. No promotion without tests. He actually tests people. He tests people. And what begins to happen is because sometimes you feel like the exposure and the stage where God has brought you to is real big. You then look for Saul's armor and discard your stones. And your slings. How many of you, let me take ministry for example. How many of you have gone on a very big stage before and you started changing the way you were sounding? Do you know what I'm talking about? You wanted to add a bit more panache to yourself. You didn't sing the regular songs where people would say this blessed me. Now you are looking for the songs that were in vogue because of the kind of stage. Are you getting what I'm saying here? Now you're looking for Saul's armor. Because it's not a lion and a bear now. It's a national stage. David says, listen, I've not tried this before. It's the same song I was singing that got ten people slain under the power that will get a million under the power. I don't have to reinvent anything. Please understand this. That there's something that's working already within your life. That's the grace of God that's already working. Don't reinvent it. Don't reinvent it. Don't try to reinvent it. Don't reinvent the entire thing just because, you know, you're in a new place or you're on a new stage or whatever it is. You see, God wants to use the you that he has always known. Is somebody getting what I'm saying here? We're building up to something here. What gives us value is actually the grace of God that is placed on the inside of ourselves. And what happens many times is that as we begin to make progress, as we begin to grow, people then try to reinvent, rewrite. And that's what God wants to do. Rema please come. Please come. The weight of who you are. Just take that side. The weight of who you are no one can carry. Just sing it. Jesus. Continue now. No words can carry. Thank you. Precious James come. Come. Please just sing. Just lead us.
Speaker 3The weight of who you are no words can carry.
Speaker 2He went flat there. Thank you. Now just a second. When I called you how did you feel? Scared. When I called you. Come. How did you feel? Were you scared? You were wondering what it was about but were you scared? Okay. When I gave you the mic to sing did you feel embarrassed? Okay. Well he can try a bit. I'm looking for. I'm looking for my friends. BME come. Yes. That you can play keyboard does not mean you can. Sometimes they are the worst on it. But sit down. Yeah. Oh thank God. Please. I got it finally. Now. Please come. I got it finally. Did you hear what he sang? Why is he laughing? He's actually laughing at himself. Before. Please have the mic. He has seen the end already. Please have the mic. Please sing. Sing. We we just want to worship God. Please lift your hands towards heaven now.
Speaker 1Dear Lord. Please close your eyes. Just just worship the Lord. Church worship the Lord.
Speaker 2Oh my God. I thought he was going to be better than that. Oh my God. Thank you. Oh my goodness. I had more faith in him actually than what he did just now. Where am I going to with this? How difficult was it for you to do that Rema? Not so difficult. Because that's a grace. What looks so easy to you and you despise is so difficult for others because they don't have the grace for it. Oh my God. Not so difficult because that's a grace. Oh my God. Not so difficult for others because they don't have the grace for it. So the first thing that happens with a grace gift is that you are prone to despising it. You the carrier you're prone to despising it. You're prone to just well what's the big deal? But what you don't realize with God is that it's the big deal. It's everything. That this thing where you just came in the way and then she can even modulate and do everything for us. Song cannot even start the song. He can't even start it. I should have even worsened the case. Let them give him a key to first look for the key. You find out he can't even find the key he's looking for it and you from your sleep you can get the key you're singing. It doesn't matter much to you why because it's a grace gift and if you're not careful because it comes so easily and so freely you despise it. Are you following what I'm saying? That's the first thing. Secondly is because it's by grace many a times we forget the importance of labor. That what God gave us freely by grace it will be developed by labor not by grace. No it is not grace that develops grace. It's labor that develops grace but there can be no labor if there's no grace. This is important. This is important. Now if you don't know this you're going to be carrying so much in your life equipped with so much in your life and you keep despising yourself. You keep despising yourself. I mean let me give you a practical example. Folks come around to me and they ask me to counsel them. Now as a pastor you have to counsel. There's almost no way you can escape it now but what folks don't realize is at first I don't like it. I don't like it and this is just me being truthful. I don't like it. That's number one. Number two is my brain is designed in such a way that it just filters. You can ask my wife. I'm done right now and I don't remember the conversation. I mean you tell me something now and you are saying whatever it is I do not remember. In fact many times people are talking to me and under my breath I'm like God help me. What will I say to this one now? What will I say? And they think the pastor already has all the answers and orders. Now but here's my wife and I'm in awe many times. I'm in awe. It's called the spirit of counsel. You're talking to her and then the next thing one wisdom I'm like Jesus. Look at how easy it is. And people don't understand why many times I say go and meet Pastor Diola. Go and talk to Pastor Diola because you would have, listen this is my grace gifts. When I stand here. Oh boy. But once you enter the office and you're asking questions. Now that's not to say I can't counsel but I'm saying that it's difficult. It's labor. It's work. I have to pray in the spirit. I have to listen to God and I'm like am I sure of this what I'm saying here? But it comes so easily and so naturally encode for her. That's a grace gift. Now you know it's very easy for someone to look at that. For her to look at that and go what's the big deal? What's the big deal about it? Why? Because in Africa we have been trained that if we didn't fight for it. If it was not hard then it's not big. But in the kingdom the biggest things come freely. The biggest things come what? Cheaply. So you have to reorient your mind. Are you listening to this? You have to reorient yourself that you're not putting value on your gift. You're not putting value on that grace that God has given to you. You're not valuing it just because it's free and you're devaluing it as it were. It is who that who gives it that gives value to it. Somebody follow what I'm saying here. This is important. So we must be careful. We must be careful. We must be careful. I'm trying to just wrap up a couple of things around the subject of grace here. We must be careful not to underestimate them and then because you underestimate it you don't use it boldly. You're not bold with it. You're not bold with it because you have to be bold with gifts. You have to be bold with grace. The acknowledgement that I'm anointed for this. It's not pride. It's called boldness. Are you listening to what I'm saying? I'm anointed for this. I'm anointed. I'm graced for this. I can do this by the ability of God's spirit. Not my ability but by the ability of God's spirit. If they come to me for counsel they will hear God's voice. Why? I am what? Graced for this. So you don't take like no we are just you know God just uses us sometimes. Have you had people talk like that? You know no we are just pencils in the hands of God. And we really think that that humility. Paul said I speak to you through the grace. So you tell them sit down. I'm going to counsel you through the grace of God on my life. The acknowledgement that I carry this for you. Hallelujah. Is somebody still here? Now somebody says then where is the balance between this and pride? Well pride says I can do it by myself. Grace says I can do it because he has given me the ability. There's a difference. Pride says I can do it by myself. Grace acknowledges the giver and the one who makes it work. So we must be careful not to underestimate it because if we do we won't be bold with using our gifts and our graces and we won't use them appropriately. As well we must be careful not to be lazy. Not to be lazy with it. If you underestimate it you'll be lazy with it. How many of you have been given something that you didn't pay for? Maybe somebody paid for your conference to attend a conference and you eventually didn't attend it. Somebody paid for an online course for you and you eventually didn't follow through until you found out the amount that was paid and you were shocked that this much was paid for you. Glory to God. But how many of you realize that when you pay for it yourself you set the alarms and everything just because you want to be there and not waste your money? Glory to God. So do the work. 1 Corinthians 15 verse 10. 1 Corinthians 15 and verse 10. You know you've got to know you've got to know that you are not everything but what you have you are everything. You're not everything. Listen this is so important. Brother Hagin spoke about this couple, the Goodwins, his mentors in the faith. And he said, the wife was anointed with the healing anointing, I believe the wife, whilst the man was to get people filled with the Holy Spirit. Never had a failed attempt at it. So if you came to them and you said you needed healing, the man would say, "Go and meet my wife." pray for you by faith but it will be quicker faster for you if somebody with the anointing does it and then if it was for you to be filled with the spirit of god or stand in prophecy that was the man's own ability now you know sometimes we think that because somebody else is standing in their gift it takes the shine off us the problem is if you're standing in your gift then no one can take the shine off you every gift by itself is glorious every gift every gift of grace is glorious so rather than the man saying let me pray for you and then send people away with faith failures as it were he sends them to his wife and guess what when they are sharing testimonies as mrs goodwin laid hands on me i got healed and he's the one jumping the most shouting the most rejoicing the most has no fear no concern whatsoever that she's going to take the shine off him are you following what i'm saying no fear whatsoever you know many men don't let their wives shine story for another day glory to god oh not story for another day story for today yeah well it's important you marry the one you know who is secure in himself not afraid of the grace that god has placed upon your life ready to give you the wings to fly are you listening to what i'm saying here very important i have seen many people with a call to ministry whose ministry ended because of marriage anointed gifted souls ended because of marriage glory to god story for another day first corinthians 15 verse 10. quick quickly very important look at what it says it says but by the grace of god i am what i am come on let's read together but by the grace of god i am what i am and his grace which was bestowed upon me was not in vain but i labored more abundantly than they all yet not i but the grace of god which was with me can i read that one more time and this is somebody's story from today all right it says by the grace of god i am what i am not by my labor are you listening to what i'm saying here not by my skill not by my talent by the grace of god i am what i am but then look at what it says it says and his grace which was what bestowed upon me was not in vain why was it not in vain look at what he did next he says but i labored more upon now i've told you about paul the apostle that you know sometimes you read the scriptures and you know this is not exactly revelation this is personality and you have to separate personality from revelation because how do you qualify their label for example he said i thank my god i speak in tongues mother you all how how did paul know that and it's interesting to me that the holy ghost allows it to be documented so you know that he uses people just there the way there sometimes you're under a very charismatic pastor and then you don't want to be charismatic and you just don't have it in you sometimes you're under someone who is i mean maybe a sanguine or something like that and then you are trying to change your personality to fit into a mode john the beloved have you read his epistles before he was full of love every small thing i love you little children i mean my children every small do you know paul really called them his children have you ever studied it there was individuals he called children paul was very very he was he was not he was not a normal simple guy so look at it he says i labored more abundantly knowing that they will read his epistle how did he expect peter to feel that's why i told you oh yeah oh yeah have you ever thought about it how do you expect peter to feel reading this that's why i told you that sometimes when i read the scriptures i see ministers today i read this i will say it i know the pastor now when you have perspective like this then you don't get angry i say it's just like paul it's okay not a problem and god allowed it to be recorded he says i labored more abundantly than all of them then almost as though the holy ghost reminded him he says look at what he says now yet not tired but it was the grace of god that was it would seem to me one moment he's speaking by inspiration next moment his personality comes out then he comes back to inspiration well here's where i'm going to you see he didn't labor for grace but he labored with grace this is important nobody can labor for grace if you labor for it then it's not grace the nature of grace is that it cannot be worked for it must be gifted it must be bestowed it must be endowed are you following what i'm saying here but then the essence of that grace is to labor it's the label it gives you the capacity to labor it gives you the capacity to do things that others are not able to do are you following what i'm saying here the development of that grace there's labor there there's labor in the development of the grace the deployment of the grace there's labor the fact that it's grace does not mean it's going to be at its best just because it is grace are you following what i'm saying here for it to become more powerful more of a blessing then you have to discover it and labor to the development of this grace glory to god hallelujah are you still here if you thought about grace write it down number one grace is power grace is power i'm trying to wrap up the grace aspect tonight grace is power say with me grace is power come and say it again grace is power all right let me let me explain it this way can i have um again minister dot can i have him please come here please stand i want to show you something very important when we say grace is power and it's important you understand that another word for grace in scriptures is ability and you follow what i'm saying grace is power grace is ability so let's imagine that for some reason okay that he's unable to work he's unable to um move as fast as he's supposed to do the things that he's supposed to do the way he's supposed to do it how does god answer his prayer how does god meet his need that need in his life how does god answer that prayer what god then does is us thank him please come what god does is that god puts an ability in a man are you following what i'm saying here that ability is called a gift or a grace he puts his power in that man in such measure that when this man cries out for help he activates what he has put here to be the solution to what is going on here you know why everything that happens on earth it's a complete circle are you following what i'm saying here that's why even when god was going to save mankind please listen to this i've said this over and over again he didn't save mankind as god he came to the earth as what a man and as a man he died on the cross to deliver men from their sins is somebody following what i'm saying here this is the grace of our lord jesus christ that even though he was rich yet he was made poor that we through his poverty might be what made rich we understand that varied implications of that but at the core of it is that what the the the emptying of the christ of all his divinity as it were to die on the cross in our behalf is somebody following what i'm saying here and how did he describe this describe it he said this is the grace of our lord jesus christ is somebody getting what i'm saying here so every need in a man's life is mirrored as a grace in another man's life now if the need let's take it for example i want to show you something here if the need here is a need for healing hmm stay with me if it's a need for healing and it needs healing in his body what does god do he places his healing anointing he places the miracle walking power in somebody else am i right are you following what i'm saying here and then by providence or by the order of god he comes into contact with that healing ministry or whatever it is and then what happens there's a release of that what do we call it power are you following what i'm saying into his life and then we say he was healed by what the power of god but was there a vessel through whom it was communicated yes we call it power now what if the gap in his life is revelation what does god do he puts a teaching grace on a man's life and then he brings him in contact with the one who has that grace and as the man begins to speak he meets that need now what do we call it we call it revelation but at the core of it what is it power power what released at revelation for another its power released as what healing he's in a place in his life where he needs answers three four roads everywhere he's confused on what decisions to make then he comes to someone and says hey these are these are the issues can you help me make sense of what is going on and then you have a lady who's filled of the spirit of counsel who works in that capacity looks at everything and what is so confusing to him is so easy to her have you been with some before and then the person says it's not that deep oh yeah no no because that's how you feel it's so deep to you you are so confused you are like what on earth is this and then the person look at it it's not that deep no no no no this is not an issue this is not an issue this is what you should do shut this down and do it and then all of a sudden you're like it is not deep you know why it was deep to you because you are not gifted or graced in that way are you following what i'm saying here remember this no matter how perfect you are god leaves a gap that another person must feel this is important this is extremely important so you come he comes to the person and then the person by the gift of grace by that grace that god has bequeathed him with gives an answer to the questions in his heart can i ask you a question what was communicated power as what counsel so when we say grace is power we are saying grace is how god meets the needs of people are you following what i'm saying so he puts within each and every one of us literally as it were the answer to millions that we have not yet met so if i don't develop that gift of grace are you following this god is not going to slow down another person's progress of another person's journey he comes in contact with me and then heaven has to find another answer somewhere else sometimes delaying their own journey is somebody getting what i'm saying here so you suddenly begin to see that life is not about you alone if we are in a situation where we are in a situation where we are out of control we are in a situation where we are in a situation where we are out of control we are in a situation where we are interconnected as the bible shows us that we are members one of another it means that the progress of the hand is inadvertently the progress of the leg so if the hand refuses to be who he should be there is somebody that is suffering for it not just the hand are you following what i'm saying here the body consciousness that he places that grace on the inside of you and every one of us every believer show me every believer every believer we are carriers of the gift of grace every believer grace is power the way and manner in which god god captures power and puts it in your life it's not suri mama suri mama it is that council are you listening to what i'm saying it is that council that wisdom are you following what i'm saying here and that if you're not careful the only definition of power we have is that somebody fell down at the power that's the only definition we have our only definition is that somebody came up out of the wheelchair power is when somebody has a vision does not know the next step you look at it and you say these are the three steps you should take do this in march do this in may do this in august and they get home that's power and guess what because it comes so easy for you you despise it so much and say well i mean what's the big deal thereof what's the big deal thereof so me grace is power come and say again with me grace is power come on say again grace is power there will be no need for grace if there are no needs it's not a frivolous thing the essence of grace is need let's even talk about saving grace why is there saving grace it's because there's a falling man somebody got what i'm saying the reason for seven grace is the fact that there is a falling man and then god introduces the concept the subject of grace to bring man out of his sin which means every need is answered by grace every need every need is answered by grace are we still here very important or building up to something grace is what power look at first peter chapter four i want to show you something we read it before but let me point it out to you first peter chapter 4 and verse 10. verse 10. look at what it says well let's just jump first time let's read it to give context every man that he had received the gift even so ministered the same one to another as what good steward tell me good stewards of the manifold many-sided many-sided grace of god if any man speak let him speak now look at the next sentence if any man minister let him do it as of the words ability that do not miss power that's another word there as of the power which god giveth that in all things he may be what glorified so me grace is power number two please write it down gifts of grace must be used with grace and by grace gifts of grace must be used with grace and by grace what are we saying freely you have received freely give are you following this here gift of grace gifts of grace must be used with grace and by grace freely you have received freely grief that's what it means to use it with grace freely you have received freely give but it must be used by grace as well whilst you have confidence in what god's spirit has put within you there must be the recognition that you're only doing this because of the grace of god it's purely by the grace of god everyone is an original so there's no comparison between anybody else even in the teaching ministry everyone is an original are you listening to what i'm saying even in the healing ministry everyone is an original that's the sincere truth just yesterday i was watching um pastor benny and i said to myself i said i said it's it's unbelievable the many-sided grace of god unbelievable i mean he was at southwest believers convention and i was watching pastor benny at southwest and i said dear lord what is this i mean just the beauty of seeing people stand in their offices in their graces and on intimidated by any other person's grace just so beautiful are you listening to what i'm saying here so understanding that listen what you have is original so there's that sense of confidence however you realize that this thing works because of your dependence on him he's the one that put it there in the first place are you following what i'm saying he's the one that put it there it is used by grace he's used with grace he's the one that put it there you don't just wake up and say oh you know because um because i i mean i carry something so you can just do anything that you want to do there's that sense of dependence on the spirit of god glory to god now right is number three grace is the roots glory is the fruits come and say it with me grace is the roots glory is the fruits come and say it again grace is the fruits come and say it again grace is the roots and glory is the fruits and let's trace this together look at first peter chapter 4 verse 10 again first peter chapter 4 verse 10. it says as every man had received the gift even some minister the same one to another as good stewards of the manifold grace grace of god if any man speak let him speak as the oracles of god if any man minister let him do it as of the ability which god give it now can we read that last sentence together one to go what does it say that god in all things may be glorified what is the essence come on talk to me come on talk to me what is the essence of this come on what is the essence of this when a man is standing in his office what is the essence of it that attention may be drawn to the man come on talk to me what is the essence grace is the roots glory is the fruits which means the strength and the better i stand in my office and use my grace the more glory comes to him you see that that god in all things may be what glorified so when a man stands there look at it he says if any man minister let him do it as of the ability which god give it if any man speak let him speak as of the oracles of god if any man give it if any man do it whatever it is any man sing it any man serve it whatever it is that he does he says that god in all things may be glorified it would seem to me that there is a dimension of glory that god never receives until you stand in your office are you listening to what i'm saying here there's a dimension of what glory that it would seem god never receives until you stand in your office glory to god are we still here now what is your part god has given you grace god has placed grace on on inside of you what is your part i told you number one is discover number two is develop number three is deploy say with me discover number two what developed number three is what deploy you are not trying to work it out or anything or i mean develop i mean create it or whatever it is you're simply discovering it now people have asked many times so how then do i i know or maybe i should backtrack a bit there's a difference between the gifts of grace and natural talents do you understand what i just said there's a difference between the gift of grace and natural talents now there are many people who have natural talents and yes you have natural talents but you don't need an anointing to use a natural talent you don't need an anointing to use a natural talent you don't need prayer to use a natural talent you don't need dependence on the holy spirit to use a natural talent are you following what i'm saying here but you need dependence on the spirit of god to use a gift of grace now can a natural talent can a gift of grace be expressed through a natural talent many times yes are you following what i'm saying but you have to separate it and know when the difference must be put that not always is a gift of grace a natural talent very important now in discovering the gifts of grace that god has placed within you the first thing i want you to notice this you are not who you call yourself when it comes to working with god have you had people giving themselves different names different titles you are not who you call yourself what you carry people will see it so the very first way the very first this is important the very first way you discern what we call gifts of grace is what is the common testimony around you now you may never have taken note of it but start asking yourself the question what is the common thread when people encounter you unconnected people what is the common testimony what is the common conversation what do you hear constantly you know when i'm just around you i have peace when i'm just around you i have clarity once once every time i speak with you i just have clarity now you may take it as unimportant you see but is the user that knows what he has been blessed with are you following what i'm saying for example um almost always i would hear people say something like um every time you teach there's balance there's no balance there's no balance there's no balance there's no balance the most used word with my teaching ministry the ministry god has given to me is balance there's balance or then you say you hear people say maybe more of ministers say balance and all the rest and those who have been knocked on every side now um but but um amongst the brethren generally there's a common conversation did anybody talk to pastor about our conversation just this morning my friends and i were talking about i hear that every Sunday including right now now you may think that's a coincidence you know why you think it's a coincidence the reason is simple because you think that's what they are saying to everybody else you just assume that that's what they are saying but no no if you understand how this works that's prophetic teaching because a teacher will come and teach you and then you have revelation you're instructed you're you learn a lot of god's word but under prophetic teaching your life is under an x-ray literally and it would seem as though every word every including illustration in fact including joke one day i was on watchtower and i said jokingly i said some of you right now you have sweet in your pocket you have biscuit in one pocket you have sweet in another pocket and somebody sent a message say i have biscuit in one pocket can't in another pocket how do you make those things up i mean more often than not the jokes and the illustrations are so prophetic somebody asked me one time do you think of your illustrations or your jokes i said how can i be thinking of you am i that jobless i'm thinking of joke this i'll make them laugh now and then i'll just make them you think i'm that jobless no i'm not i have more serious things to do i'm an original do you understand what i'm saying but here's the thing but here's where i'm going to you start hearing that kind of conversation what minute this not who do you call yourself what minute this you are asking why is everybody saying this you see because it is people that discern the grace that is flowing many times you don't even know yet what grace is flowing but he's just coming out of you naturally and then after a while i remember i went to the lord why would people say this to me i would never forget it the lord began to speak to me he said there's something that's called prophetic teaching in my word i had never read it before finally i began to study it then found out brother hagan spoke about it and all the rest guess what i would um i would speak with people and say you know i stand in the office of a teacher standing office of a teacher and i realized that the anointing of god's spirit wasn't as strong as it used to be until one day interestingly the lord never spoke to me about it never did until i picked up brother hagen's book one time and brother hagan began to say that the lord spoke to him that you have put the teaching ministry before the prophetic ministry he said i have called you to be a prophet teacher not a teacher and i thought to myself i said is it that serious is it as serious that because he put the prophet before i mean the teacher an address and god said yes and then the lord said to me you know i was even thinking about hagen he said that's your problem he said you have refused to accept the office i've given you the word of the lord and i said no i don't have anything to do with it i'm just teaching the word i'm going and all the rest that's what i would have said before but i realized that the moment i accepted it it got stronger it got stronger and it got stronger and it got stronger i don't even have to plan it or anything it just flows out are you following what i'm saying here so the first way to discover it what blessing have you been to people unconsciously what is the constant conversation around your life is somebody following what i'm saying here and sometimes these people are your siblings and because they are family members you don't take them seriously neither do they take you serious all of you are not serious together how many of you you see this is personal income now i can imagine he goes back to his house he came a whole man of god glory to god are you still here so the first way to discover it is what is the that people are eating off already are you following what i'm saying what's the constant conversation the testimonies the feedbacks that you have been getting okay about your life number two connected to that is this is that now everybody look at me here because it is recognizable by people many people who have the need for that grace will gravitate towards you who are the people that gravitate towards you ask yourself some of you is broke people it's just broke and broke and broke you're even angry that it's broke people that are coming around you maybe you don't know that god has given you the grace to make many rich maybe you don't know maybe you don't know are you following what i'm saying here some of you find out that these people have relationship problem is when they serve heartbreak day every every once you just see i want to talk to you say another one has gone it's people that and you affect yourself who i've never positioned myself as a relationship counselor i've never told anybody that anything why is it that anytime they have problems with me they're always calling is there not plenty people in the church do i look like i have probably like them you even start questioning yourself that you see that i have problem like them have you not have you not noticed that and then if you're not careful you let go of what god's spirit is trying to do you see because needs recognize grace are you following this here needs recognize grace and so even they that are coming they don't know why if you ask them why is it me you came to me i don't know i just feel like you can help me many times let me tell you you will always feel you can't help them many times you feel like you are inadequate that's the lie of the devil you feel like i'm inadequate who am i what do i want to say to this one now a lady came one time and said it's people that have had trauma trauma trauma trauma they're always coming to me and she was very sure she looked at me and said can god not give me a healing ministry why is it that his people that life has finished them and i said to her i said that's it a healing ministry it's a healing you're pulling people out of the wheelchair of soul being crippled in their soul it's a healing ministry are you following what i'm saying so who are the people that gravitate towards you is somebody getting what i'm saying here some of you believers good believers even though everything about you is christian is unbelievers that they like you i'm gonna be doing what i'm talking they like you you push jesus everywhere boys unbelievers that every time even when you enter uber even the uber driver likes you even bad driver just there's something about you are you following well Maybe there is something there. Number three. What flows easily. That you despise so easily. What flows so easily. It just flows easily. It flows so easily. But it takes effort from others. Like we saw with that brother there. Who sang us a wonderful lullaby. A wonderful lullaby. Glory to God. Are we still here? If you do not know it. You can't grow it. If you don't know it. You can't grow it. So the first step is discovering it. You can't grow it. Now before I move on to developing and dispensing. Are you getting anything tonight? Brilliant. Before I move on to dispensing. I mean developing and dispensing it. Is the recognition. That these gifts of grace. Are in measures. This is important. The Bible says that a man. Matthew chapter 25. From verse 14. Says there was a man who was going to a far country. And then he gave different talents. And he gave to one. He gave to another two. And he gave to one what? Five. And what was the key word there? It says according to their several abilities. That's what he said. According to their several abilities. Now I want to show you something here. Come. Please come. What is 100% of two? Brilliant. If the man with two brings two. Has he brought 100%? Good. If the man with five brings two. Has he brought 100%? If the man with five brings three. Has he brought 100%? Do you see how the man with two. May have brought his 100%. 100%. But because he's two. Does not look like the man with five's own three. He compares himself. And then he says that he's less. Not realizing that in the sight of God. He has brought the full measure. Of what God gave him. Is somebody following what I'm saying? This is important. Some of the people you are comparing yourself with. They have five. You is one. Yes. And it's in faithfulness that God increases measures. Not in comparison. This is important. This is extremely important. So. God gives the man one. He gives to another two. He gives to another five. Is somebody following what I'm saying here? On the surface. At surface value. You definitely can tell that the three of them haven't received the same thing. Oh yes you can tell. Have you not seen even in the work of ministry. No matter the prayer and fasting some people do. You can tell that the talent that this one has is at a higher level than the talent that this one has. Can we be very real here? Some of you you will enjoy yourself for. You enjoy yourself for nothing. You have to realize that what you have is one talent. And that if the Lord the head of the church considers that one talent is what you should have. Then it's the best thing you should have. Yes sir. You are following what I'm saying here. i know you're shocked i've never done this before but i just sense by the spirit of god that i should do it you know when we started there was a strong flow of the prophetic there was a strong flow of the prophetic but you must understand jurisdictions you must understand how to use what god has given to you my assignment tonight is not to stand in the prophetic my assignment tonight is to teach now if i yielded to that flow we could have gone for one hour full are you following what i'm saying and everybody would have said man of god but the problem with that is this is that the mind and the counsel of the spirit may have been missed for the service glory to god well i'll take three questions three the lady there quickly who's helping you move quick i'll take just three questions and you know you know i'll take three questions three the lady there quickly who's helping you move quick you know i'll take just three questions and you know i'll take just three questions and you know i don't want to hear i have like three questions and then pastor so maybe folks online want to send in one one two three questions for some reason i just feel like i should take the question anybody all right we just take one question thank you is there any other person thank you
Speaker 3so much sir so you mentioned just a
Speaker 2second the moment i said i'll take questions the moment i landed your hand went up how did you know well i had a question
Speaker 3question so how did you
Speaker 2know i was going to take question like you just went it's okay continue thank
Speaker 3you so you mentioned i don't know if it was day one or day two of this um series and you mentioned something about not taking a fee for a grace that you got for free something oh yeah um and what if your grace is not like ministerial and you can get paid for it so i'm just wondering no i totally
Speaker 2understand what you said but that's not the full thing that i said i said don't take a fee for a grace that god gave you freely um build structures around it so the key thing is this is there are there's the business side to everything okay and it's extremely important that you never allow your heart get into money aspect when it comes to money that's your own heart so let me let me just be very detailed here and all the rest so for example you don't make a monetary decision for a ministry assignment you don't you don't make a you don't make a decision on a monetary basis for a ministry assignment it don't it's not you don't let whether it's a lot or it's not no no purely purely you doing what the spirit of lord has asked you to do however does god expect that you put because the dispensation of grace is is stewardship does god expect that you put structures around distance yes absolutely yes are you following what i'm saying so there's it's fine to put structures around it but when you now get into the place where you are and you are the one trying to negotiate something from what god has given to you now talking about ministry and i'll come into the secular aspect now uh an address that's where there's problem an address so you don't want to get into all of this but you don't want to get into all of this so you don't want to get into all of this of that so that's that's the side but when it comes to business business is business and i need you to understand that a business is business however when you're doing business or you're playing in the secular space you must always ask yourself what is the ministry inside this because whilst business is business there's ministry inside business so what is the business inside this thing so for example let's imagine that you are maybe a trained counselor and there's a fee you charge and those kind of things there's someone who manages all of that but by the spirit you can tell that you must have a slot of five people ten people that you will not put any fee to it and you're going to give it to them i mean use what god has given to you be a blessing to them you know so you must find them the ministry inside the business that's the key thing when it comes to business but ministry must be ministry when is we're talking about ministry ministry must be ministry number two any other question good evening sir yes so
Speaker 4um i wanted to ask a question when you were talking initially not to say that it's for me but you said something not to say that it's for you no like it's me personally like not personally about oh that's right yeah so when you said that um what's the testimony that people have about you what if it's a negative testimony that people are just like always saying you'll have a bad character or something is that a great you she's just asking
Speaker 5generally yes it's not for her well
Speaker 2spiritual laws are parallel i've said this over and over again spiritual laws are parallel faith and fear are the same thing running in parallel so if the testimony about you the person is bad character just the same way testimony is what reveals grace testimony reveals need as well so if there's a constant consistent testimony around there may be something the person needs to work on as well so the testimony of people does not only reveal the grace of god that is at work in your life it as well many times will reveal the need and things that you need to work on that person needs to work on okay thank you
Speaker 6just one more please yes please um my question is about um let's assume you like something like you know definitely it's not your line or your grace or something should you just like you should just let it go you should still kind of pursue it or or you just let's say you
Speaker 2like something should you oh you
Speaker 6have a passion for something exactly
Speaker 2okay i mean again i my i've said this over and over again that the generic law in scriptures is whatever your hand finds to do it well i mean pursue everything that your heart desires i mean and all of that however as you walk on with the lord you then begin to sieve out the things that matter really in your life so as you walk on with the lord i always say to people that if you study true scriptures the last instruction that jesus gives you is that you should not be afraid of the things that jesus gave in human flesh was go that was the last thing so the believer should be on the go that's what i believe in every believer should be on the go so like somebody called me and said he was asking should we do this in our church should we do this should we plant this and i said to him i said listen the instruction of scriptures is go that the only time you see the holy spirit coming there was not a time paul was asking should i go into antioch should i go into this you won't read that in the bible paul all you read is that paul moved paul moved paul moved paul moved but when he was not to move the bible says the holy spirit forbid him all right so it's fine i mean if if that's where your heart is it's go ahead with it and all dress but as if you have a genuine true walk with the holy spirit you will have those red flags and those cautions in your heart knowing that maybe you need to drop this i'll give you an example people may not know this i think it was at my birthday people found this out that i was a football lover i was not just a very very very very good football player it's difficult for people to conceive it because i don't even know what the ball looks like right now but as i walked on with the lord now does it mean that football is bad no but there were certain consecrations that god needed me to have and this you can't use your consecrations as a doctrine for people specifically so i'm not saying no no no there were certain consecrations that i needed to have and because of my the way i'm passionate about things the lord said this to me he said if you keep this passion it will affect your walk with me and so i knew that i needed to drop it i knew the day i consciously dropped everything football and all the rest i mean i was my father i mean we had planned we're going to be enrolled in a club i had bought my football kits and all the rest that was how much i loved football i i was into it you know so um but see me now today and so is there anything wrong with it there's nothing wrong with it but as as you walk on with the lord you will see that you will be able to do the things that god has promised you and the things that you're not allowed to do but go for whatever it is that is in your heart
Speaker 5thank you sir um somebody says can you convert a grace to a point where it becomes evident in your
Speaker 2life all right i mean it's it's very you know i see and let me say this to charismatic pentecostals we talk about converting grace converting grace and i'm not saying that i'm not going to do that a man's grace converting a man's grace is it possible and is it right to convert grace yes and i'll tell you something number one is this many a times the reason why your heart desires it is because god has planted something in your heart about it because that same thing you are converting some other people are not seeing they are not sending it at all you are the only one disturbing yourself yeah i convert i convert somebody else is not even interested like what are you converting it's like you know now there's people are chanting and some people just hear it and they just move do you understand i'm saying but some people are do you get what i'm saying so usually it's because the seed of it has been planted in your heart um but you can't convert and let me say this spiritual law you cannot convert something and walk in something truly and fully if not that it is part of what God wants you to walk in so it is usually the work of the spirit of God to create that desire in your heart and then you find out that you're desirous of it like I just said pastor Benny now some people don't really an address my wife knows I'm listening to pastor Benny and I'm just in tears I'm just I mean because God planted something in my heart from when I was a child about certain aspects of ministry and there are ministers who don't care about it you know so yes you can convert um um an address the the only thing you have to be careful of is that you're not trying to you know out of trying to be something you are not trying to envy something an address and you're converting that but yes you can convert it and it's one of the channels of impartation that's actually in fact if we came to developing grace one of the things I would have mentioned to you is that one of the ways grace is developed is impartation by higher grace so someone who is working in a higher dimension of that grace can help you develop that grace and it's true impartation so let me put it this way please come let me I would use this example several times let's imagine that God has called him into the healing ministry if he comes in contact with somebody who is in the healing ministry and he converts him into the heart his heart his desires of it what happens is that that gift comes a life are you following what I'm saying it starts developing an address but if there was never never a call or anything into that aspect no matter the impartation if I impart you it is it's because zero impartation plus zero is equals to zero impartation must meet at least one inside which means there's a seed of it however there's another dimension to it when you stay under a cloud you can manifest things do you understand what I'm saying here it doesn't mean you're a carrier of it so Saul came into the company of prophets and then he prophesied but the moment he left the company of prophets prophecy ended do you understand because that thing was not there so sometimes you can be in an environment where certain things are strong and because you're in that environment you see manifestations of it that's why for example you will find I heard a winner's pastor say this he said when we were there we will shout we'll do who will do who the dead were raised he said the moment we came out is as though we are not even anointed again and I remember I said to him I said you were functioning on that delegated grace now that you have stepped out you must find your own because you were under a cloud and because you were under that cloud certain things were permitted all right but now that you're out of it you must find your own and find your own grace and stand in your own grace glory to God next question is three questions so don't bombard me
Speaker 5okay sir um papa spoke about deploying grace with boldness how do we balance deploying grace to people especially in cases where you sense you don't have influence over them or they are ahead of you in grace is there a vertical streamline to be cautious about deploy grace to somebody I don't understand you want
Speaker 2to deploy grace no no no no no the only way you can deploy grace upwards is intercession that's the only way you can deploy grace upwards if you try anything else you're breaking spiritual other and spiritual ranks so the only way you can deploy grace upwards is intercession you feel like there's a need there then intercede that's all again even if you feel like you have a head of people and orders you must understand the law of influence the law of influence and authority so have you seen people who I remember one time we had a guy who came into our church and then he began to lay hands on all of our people and he passed us and I said this is absolute nonsense I mean I mean because this was my friend I said why would you lay hands on the pastors who trained you in ministry you don't have authority over these people so you can't lay hands on them no matter how anointed you are you can't lay hands on them you know so you have to understand influence authority spiritual structure I go into places and I would I mean if I mean my pastors have asked me and I my pastors have asked me sometimes why is it that you hold back and you don't do some things because it's not my house I don't have authority I don't have influence over those there are prophetic flows that I will not give expression to in another man's house yes there are things that you so you have to understand the ethics when it comes to I mean so you can't just come and say the Lord said to me and because the Lord said to you so you can say everything and anything no million times no no you know so I mean and there are times I've had to ask to say oh pastor is it okay to do this and to say this and to say this and it gives permission then you go ahead if not no God is never going to break ranks and all of the rest so you must understand it's not just influence it's authority as well because you can have influence over people but not have authority over them there are two different things you can have influence over people but not have authority over them so let's be careful I mean those of us that just call people and say you know you've been very strong on my heart very strong very very strong on my heart
Speaker 5right thank you papa um someone says so what if there are so many graces you are not sure which to follow especially when there are louder ones and some others must we focus on the louder ones does it change so the person feels
Speaker 2like there's a lot of expression of God's grace through them some are louder some are quieter yes do we focus on the louder one um there are questions that no pastor can answer there are questions that no pastor can answer and if you if you don't know those questions you'll create an idol out of your pastor there are questions that only the Holy Spirit must answer for you because he designed your part I don't know your part so that person needs to go back into prayer and seek the face of the Lord and God will give him clarity on what to do three questions now there were three crosses of Jesus so three crosses is there another one
Speaker 5pastor is it possible to have graces only for others that can't be used for yourself
Speaker 2is it possible to have graces only for others that can't be used by the nature of the subject of grace is for people that's why healing evangelists can die of sickness healing evangelists can die that's why Paul who was not married can write about marriage Paul was not married but I mean the finest teachings of marriage in the new testament came from Paul so the anointing the grace of God by nature is actually to be expressed and to be used for others glory to God is there a problem can be so that that's I mean I always say this that Elisha died of sickness Elisha died of sickness but his dead bones raised the dead so if there was enough anointing in his dead bones to raise the dead why didn't that anointing heal him of his sickness because when God places a grace on your life is for others primarily your own needs are going to be met by the graces of others and the exercise of your faith because if all your needs are met by your grace then you have become God to yourself let us pray father in the name of the Lord Jesus we thank you and we bless you I ask that Lord you will grant interpretation understanding and understanding of your faith and your faith and your faith and your faith and your faith and your faith and your faith and all your needs are met by your grace then you have become God to yourself let us pray father in the name of the Lord Jesus we thank you and we bless you I ask that Lord you will grant interpretation understand understanding to the hearts of each and every one of us here tonight I decree and I declare that tonight will start a new journey in your life you won't live life ordinarily but you will live life conscious of the grace that you carry I decree and I declare that everyone under the sound of my voice you will be a blessing to your world nobody will live an ordinary average life but that your life will be a blessing to your world but that your life will bring glory to God in the mighty name of the Lord Jesus Christ thank you Heavenly Father in dreams of the nights in visions of the day in meditations of the evening you will have clarity about the design of God for your life in the mighty name of the Lord Jesus thank you father in Jesus name we pray amen we hope you've
