Going Nonverbal + Getting Bangs in Your Thirties

Benito and Mary Beth deliver a heartfelt, emotionally raw, and lighthearted announcement of their amicable breakup with Terri, a nine-year partner they deeply cherish. They emphasize that the end of their relationship was not a loss of love but a natural evolution, rooted in mutual respect, growth, and shared joy. The conversation is rich with personal reflections on healing, self-discovery, and the power of silence—highlighting how nonverbal moments, like quiet time or shared silence, offer emotional relief and strength. They celebrate new personal adventures, such as getting bangs in their 30s and embracing physical self-expression, while maintaining a tone of humor and vulnerability. The episode also touches on past relationships, quirky anecdotes, and shared experiences, reinforcing the deep bond they have with Terri and his family. Ultimately, the message is one of resilience, joy, and forward motion—acknowledging that endings can be meaningful beginnings. The hosts express gratitude to their audience for being part of their journey and close with a touching dedication to Terri, declaring “Grandpa Terry forever” as a symbol of enduring love and friendship. The episode blends personal honesty with playful humor, offering a refreshing and authentic look at modern love, loss, and life transitions.

The following podcast is a dear media production, the following podcast is a dear media production. I'm Benito Skinner. I'm Mary Beth Baron. And this is right right. Welcome back to ride the podcast. I'm Mary Beth Baron. And I'm Benito Skinner. I'm very nervous. So I'm just going to cut the cameras. So dead ass cut the cameras. Dead ass cut the cameras. So we are actually going to cut cameras for this next part because I just would prefer to never see it on camera or see myself saying these things elsewhere. Hopefully someone just goes and animates it. I can only AI fingers. Come on AI. Come on. I know you can do it. We're all here for you. Okay. Thank you. Terri and I are no longer together. Why is my brain going? They're just people swerving off the road. That's literally what I was just picturing. That's so crazy. I'm sorry if you. I hope they all pulled over. I hope yeah, maybe pull over. So I will say that we both just love each other so much and have so much love and respect for each other. And we treated each other with love and respect until the end. So I just want to make that really clear. Over the years, I've seen comments that say if you break up, I'll stop believing in love or all KMS. So I would just strongly urge to not do that. Please. I think that if us breaking up makes you stop believing in love, I think it should be the opposite because I was with someone so special to me for nine years in a committed relationship with my best friend. We loved and championed each other. We grew up together in so many ways. My whole 20s were with Terri and I feel so unbelievably lucky to have met him and be a part of his family. I love his family. I love the cousins. So I hope that if anything, you should believe in love because I really had it and I really feel so lucky to have met him and be around his genius. He is always a friend of this of this pod. Grandpa Terry forever. Grandpa Terry is eternal. This is about 10 seconds and I guess, which is a little devastating. I will say that some of you clearly started to know something was going on. So if any of you have predictions for the end of the world or the next COVID, I definitely will be paying attention. And yes, I did make him promise that he will never date an actor younger than me. That was my run request and spit shook on it. So I would love a little bit of privacy and respect for both of us. I love Terry, as I said, and his family and everybody. So yeah. And it's amicable. So we're still riding for Terry. Of course. And yeah, it's like there's part of the ride universe forever and always. Here I go. There's no foul play. It's just literally no negativity to people who want the best for each other. And I'm so excited to root him on. He sent me such a beautiful text recently. And he said that he'll always be rooting for me. And I'm always going to be rooting for him. And Grandpa Terry forever. And now I'm probably going to just take a second, maybe cry with my best friend. And then we come back. I guess I'll say come on her plunk or something like that. So palate cleanser. Yeah. Something like a palate cleanser. Sorry to start this off like this. You guys just had to tell the kids. Yeah. Yeah. We love you. And I'm sorry you're going through it. You told the wizard where I live. I did. I said, I think it's time to move on. It's time to move on. You have to get over me. You've got to give us. I said Glenn. What a go. God go to this gay guy instead. Okay. We'll put the cameras back. How do you feel? I was very nervous to do that. I feel a little bit like I'm letting the kids down. But I think if if I've learned anything over the past year, it's like that this is a beautiful space for healing and love and friendship. And I do it with you by my side. So I'm okay. It's so hard to describe that there's just so much love there like in every way. Yeah. I just, Terry is incredible and a genius. And I mean, he shot the red cover all three. Come on. So and we'll probably make him do four. Yeah. Because yeah. The journey we've taken the Barones on. This is what life is. You're listening to a podcast that is hosted by two people in their 30s. It's a huge time for change. Yeah. It's kind of like what our lives have completely changed since you started this podcast. Have you guys ever cried in every airport in the world? I ask. Oh, oh, so I also have to shout out something that happened. And it kind of makes me. Also, I'm struggling with words for this. Like I don't know what to say other than I love you both so dearly. And thank you for parting ways on such good terms where it's like, you know, we can really just ride for both of you into the sunset. I just don't know what to say. So that's why I'm not saying more. I don't want the Barones to be like, why isn't she talking? I don't know what to say. I know exactly what you're feeling was because it's how I felt when we came back after your dad passed away because I was like, well, and this is super similar to it's kind of the exact same grief. Yeah. No, it is. So my grief is even worse, I'd say. But no, where it's like, it feels like it's the first time because it's like on camera and you're on mic and it's like, I've talked to you about this a lot. But now it feels real. It does feel real, which is like why I think I a little shaky and a little uncomfortable. But yeah, it's, it's very surreal. I had this like really beautiful moment happen where I was in this airport and was like really cool. You can still have fun. So yeah, I was at the airport and I was crying in a corner and I like had full hoodie and like just trying so hard. And this girl came up and I was like, Oh, God, like, this is so, this is going to be bad. I feel so bad that she's seen me like this. And she just grabbed my arm and said, love you, Benny, and then walked away. Is there anything you want to cry? That's so sweet. That's a beautiful moment. That's humanity. We need more of that. I really needed it. It's really sweet. I'm very excited for both of us and for what lies ahead. Great big world out there. Scary. We're going to do it all. So we're both single at the same time. I'm telling you, you called up this wizard. I didn't call him. He showed up in my house. He showed up at my house earlier this year. My love. Oh, yeah. I had to get him away from me for a bit. I said, I just need a fucking break. You didn't know that he went. He came right open to my house. I guess it is spooky season. It's weird. The timing of it all because I announced my breakup with Edward last year on Halloween episode. And that was around the same time. When you see what we're being for Halloween, I think you'll know why I maybe did it this week. It's so weird, too. It's like you have to tell people and the strangeness of that because it's like how many branches can you go to where someone puts their hands over their mouth? I'm just like, oh, I can't. I don't know if I can do this anymore. So probably pretty soon here. I'm like, what are you even supposed to do at a certain point? You just had to close friend stories. You started a podcast three to four years earlier. Why do you think we have built an audience? And then you announce it there. It's the press release. Yeah. I think people are going to be really stunned. I think it's going to be sad. And any children of divorce that listen to the podcast, like I'm sorry to retraumatize you. Oh, yeah. I mean, we've traumatized a few friends. So, so, I hope they don't be okay. I will say, yeah, it's funny. Also, people do this thing where they're like, hey, we're not picking sides. And I'm like, well, I didn't think you were, but now that you saved us. There's no sides. Exactly. I'm like, we're good. You, me and Terry are in a group chat. We're keeping each other abreast of the goings on. Of course. And so it's like, you know, I texted yesterday just saying, like, can we still talk about this? Of course. And we can. And that's really cool. Yeah. So I would say it's reminiscent. If I may, a little break up that I went through, not the most recent one, the one before that. I mean, yeah, like me and Eddie Obama are still shooting the shit. He had someone drew him recently. And I just thought I need that. And he said I can arrange. Yeah. Got him a j-crew sweater. I don't know. It's like, that's just kind of my baby. And we're all. We're just a little dysfunctional little family. And like, we're little, you know, that really that brutal part and freaky fried. I don't know why it's like this line read kind of just gives me tingles. I never saw freaky or friday, but I need it on planes soon. I sense that it'll be sunny for Delta one. Delta one is Jamie Lee Curtis says, we just had this little unit. You know, when she gives the speech at the end, and it leaves a little hand through her. Sure. And just this little unit. And it's just, I've been good. You know, online read. I've been thinking about from Lindsay Lohan movie six boats. So it helps us. This is my look at her. Chessie. I've been dressing in Chessie Coral a lot more lately. You got that. I kind of love. Yeah, because Chessie wore a lot of new mu bra lets with an over shirt. You're right. I would say I'm I love, I mean, Dennis Quaid is definitely a reference nor star for me. Yeah, not politically. It's like what even talk about after you talk about a breakup. I don't know. I think we should do anything else for the intro. Yeah. I just don't think because like obviously I have a bunch of amazing things to say. Well, I think you should. I mean, I don't want to. Yeah, I mean, no, I need to I feel like I just did like a stadium tour. You just did a Shakespeare monologue to me. That's what that was like. Yeah. I am Bikpy and Taminer. Yeah, I will say one other thing. Terry four minutes and we did think of obviously out of respect for them and for our nine year relationship. We're not doing this, but we were like, should we be Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban for Halloween? I didn't even hear that. That's genius. And we did. Yeah, we're not going to do that out of respect to both of those those beautiful relationships. You know he's Nicole. Come on. Yeah. I would have loved to do Keith's kind of side sweat. with the highlights and just the height different like it's kind of perfect your guys Halloween suggestions We're almost as unhinged as your merch ideas by the way and what we're actually doing. I mean they they came pretty some people did guess it Oh really? I didn't post those though. God damn it. Yeah, only like a couple though, right? I like to be in it, but not totally not like so on the nose that everyone I guess we could talk about this dress that is not my usual silhouette It's a little baggy. I wanted to do that So I just want to address that it is it's not my usual silhouette. I know what you're thinking daddy daddy daddy got it for you You did you you took me acne and you said anything you want. I don't know. I was just feeling good. I need someone to spoil Oh, I was in a K hole last week. Oh good. Yeah, yeah, let's go from that. Yeah, yeah right into just briefly I was it happened. It was scary. You know, I was in a K hole once and I was around a bunch of friends And I I did this bit where I was doing brand deals for each of them. It really killed I did it. I was I was not in a kale, but I was on K out of wedding. Obviously. Yeah, and I was doing this whole Dundspit appreciating. Yeah, I was appreciating and yeah, and it was also my stomachs growling. I'm so hungry me too It killed it totally destroyed. I mean, I was just a con for these people Big moment last night when I asked internal monologue Do you see me as a cloud or do you see me as a sexual being and unfortunately was the former now that we're both single I posed this question to you. Would you rather date someone who smokes or someone who is a runner smokes 100% I just think running is so like obnoxious. You know what I hate the smell of someone returning from a room. Oh my god Me too. Can I say that? Yeah, I just think that's a that's a stench that I don't want to be I don't want to be enraptured No, but six. I'm kind of like fuck. Yeah. Well also, I think you could convince someone to stop smoking I don't think you could convince a runner to stop running. It's in their blood It's in their blood and fully cigarettes are addiction, but here's the thing. Yeah, I don't yeah, I don't care I think it's just like letter up, you know, I guess a lot of my choices in TV and song kind of makes sense now a lot of the Shitty's posting, you know, a beautiful mind Should we just have sex Probably But we have to do it here on the camera looking at each other like yeah, I will say no, I won't say please say I can't I won't haven't I been through enough Say it. No, I don't want to I don't want to but like welcome to hell I do oh, you know what Lana Delray has this line. It's Kansuki obviously. I don't bring her up to me I am wanna Delray has this line where she says I don't trust myself with my heart and I really and then she goes But I have to let it break a little more. Ride So obviously I had bangs in high school my senior portrait. I have full full bangs So what kind of bangs are we like in hathaway devil or is Prada or are we in hathaway devil? Where's Prada great and I might go back to that at some point But just I'm not ready to do that right now and the show won't allow it and the show I'm under contract very strict So I have had bangs as a young person and I will say as you could probably guess Doing my hair as a teenager There was nothing more serious or important in the world than doing my hair I was a type of person who if there was a bump in the ponytail I'm telling my mom we're redoing it. Yeah, she gave me blowouts I've talked about this before from when I was eight years old maybe even younger There's videos of me with full blowouts just like as a child a very small person And I used to straighten my hair every single day and I was small. I was really tiny I used to straighten while I was a kid I was straight in my hair every single night and then you know go over at once in the morning too So having bangs when you have my personality type it can become a full-time job It's an obsession. It's a fixation in a lot of ways. Yeah So what's been really cool about Getting bangs in my 30s is like they don't have to look perfect Like I've embraced having bangs in my 30s in this beautiful way Or it's like sometimes they don't look that good and I'm like I just don't care. Like I don't care This is me are the bangs in the room with the eyes by the way. Oh, I don't know It's funny. They're like face framing. They kind of give them their curtain bangs Which I love which I had a I had curtain bangs in high school for a lot a lot of my years And but I had a side part at the time so it was like a little different. Yeah, I timed in with the having people ever heard of Closing the goddamn door. Yeah, but my friend texted me the other day and I just I want to read their response Basically, they were like how's having bangs and I was like I'm embracing it as only a person in their 30s could and like I've made this choice to make my life a little more complicated and I I love it. I'm I'm bracing it and it's like, it's fun. It's fun to have a little flare. - They're so cute, can I just say? Can I just off the bat say, cutie make cute? I love, yeah, I love them on you. I think for some reason, it really unlocked the late Mr. Nis for me. I don't know if Blair ever had that or if she had them now. - I think she did. - I don't know, it's like, I just think they're saying-- - And that means the world. - They're so cutesy and there's something about a haircut. Can I just say, I had to cut my hair. It was important because it's like, I don't know. It's like Alaska, you know what I mean? It's just like, cut your hair. Fucker. So yeah, I think there's something very bringing also of finding the beauty and the imperfections. - Exactly. - But I don't think, I mean, I think they always look really pretty good. - Perfectly imperfect. Yeah. - I mean, sometimes they look look a little messy or like, you know, they're like-- - Oh, were you just quoting eternal sunshine? 'Cause that is a dangerous album of legislation. - Speaking of which, I'm in my video, Vixenera. - I was asked by a 22-year-old Australian artist who's six foot five to play his love interest in a movie in a music video. And I had to say yes, no choice. - It's a movie. - He is a total doll. And I actually asked him to send me a voice note of what he writes for. And I said, you have to say audio jungle at the end. I haven't heard this. I don't know how long it's gonna be. - It's gonna be Australian accent. - Yeah, you ready? - Yeah, he's sharing. - Hello, ride, listeners and hosts. This is Rules Speaking. Hello, Mary Beth and Benny. Thank you so much for featuring me on this episode. I'm very honored. Think of this as almost like an audition. - We can't wait to start that episode. - I'm gonna give you my little micro-rive of the day, which is Bad Posture. I love Bad Posture. I think it is way more comfy than Good Posture. I think we were told to have Good Posture as if tonight it's like this terrible thing that I'm actually gonna break up or all that. And I might be coming from a place of privilege in terms of youth. And I'll say you guys wouldn't feel that too. I know you guys are like super young. You guys will, like, hell yeah. But yeah, I just feel like I'm not gonna feel the effects of it. I only feel uncomfortable when I am giving Good Posture and walking around with Good Posture. I love slouching, I love having my neck at like a 90 degree angle at my phone and walking around. - Yeah, that's nice. - Where it wants to be. I think humans have to adapt. And this is now what we're adapting to. It's like a mission of like, you know, this is 20 minutes. Instead, I could cut some, but I don't know how long I'm in. I love loving it. - I also think people who Good Posture walking around, I don't like the look of them. I start looking a little bit to, you know, dig for their boots, a little like, look at me, all goody-two shoes of my good posture. I think that is unattractive, absolutely. - Shot shot. - So yeah, that's what I think about Good Posture. - Oh, yeah. - About Posture, I ride for Bad Posture. Thank you guys for having me. I love both of you, but I love you, baby. - We love you, baby. - Goodbye, ride, listen to this. I guess I'm gonna use a podcast, or I guess, of course. - He was supposed to say, to send me audio jungle. I said you have to say audio jungle at the end. - Scream at him. - So that is a perfect ride. - I think that's as good as they get, because you know what? It's not something I would have ever thought of, but I so get that. - Totally. I obviously have amazing posture. It's sort of one of my defining features. - I agree. - I have shoulder problems and neck problems. - You and you whip out the strap. - The posture strap, I don't care if it's a strap. I said nut in me. - I said nut in me. - So that's the type of memes Benny's been sending me since he became single. It is a tweet that someone tweeted. I don't care if it's a strap, not in me. And I get that, I wake up to that, 'cause you know, time difference and I'm thinking. - I just, if I see something that's fucking insane, I have to send it to you, 'cause it's like, how am I supposed to see this alone? - No, I know. So bad posture, I think it's really powerful, and it sort of goes into the whole idea of ride, which is like, live life out loud, have fun. Do what you wanna do. Rule is a total doll, but we were gonna start fake beef. I was like, oh, we should start fake beef before the video comes out. And he goes, yeah, what should it be about, like physical characteristics? And I was like, no. - No, I never said that. - I like the lines on your face. - I like them, keep them. So stream wild guess, it is a song about a breakup. It's actually, and one of the reasons I said yes, is it's a very catchy song that I could listen to a thousand times, boy singers. - Yeah. - There is some music I don't think boys should be allowed to listen to. I wanted to say that. And also, there are some boy singers that have rights. Rule being one of them, are you E.L. Boy, Simon Angel? He's the only one for right now. - I want him to pick me up. - He's gonna be in New York next week. - Oh, I can't wait. - For some events for the lunch. - His next video, I'm seeing a gay guy. - It's a gay narrative. - How come everyone's beautiful? - Oh, how come everyone touched their bird after they watched new rule of video? Is my big question. - And to your media. (laughing) - Flip on. - Flip. - The video's really fun. We play X's who are in a Western together. - Well, you sent me photos, I loved it. And can I just say, rule, thank you so much. You brought my girl back to L.A. I got her for a couple days. She stayed with Daddy. - She had a mental breakdown, but yeah. - Oh, and I didn't. - Girl. - We went to horses. - Let's just say season two. I think it's gonna hit you in the balls. I'm very excited. I will say it's been really-- - We're going for the jugular. - We're going for the jugular. I'm really going for it in every way in the show. I'm so excited about season two. We're in the writers room right now. - And I'm pitching every day in the room. Grace has a nipple piercing. Because I don't want to take it out again. Although this time, I think I could just take it out for this whatever scene it is if we show my tits. If I have any sex scenes, if I even have a romantic love chat. - If I'm even in there. - I mean, if I'm even in there, I'm still re-additioning. So I just think, yeah, she should have one. - Me and Scott King, the showrunner, we were talking about this joke. If we somehow found a way to tell you that they did need to see you tape again or something, and I did finally say, she's been through enough and we laughed together. - That's fun. - I'm glad we laughed after it. - And I wasn't there. - So you were nowhere to be found. It was just the two of us. - But it's just good. I think I'm in my music video. Like, I would love to be in more. Actually, I don't even want to say that. - Definitely, this is a platform. - No, I don't want to say that. I announced my breakup. You do that. Well, that's why we have this. - To be a video Vixen at 34, I think it's really cool. - It's groundbreaking. - It's subversive. - It's very subversive. - And it's just an honor to be thought of. - If we're shooting shots, I want to be killed by Sabrina, maybe in a video I would love to be what else. - Well, you really wanted to be Sally, right? - Roll. - Roll. - The roll model. I want to come out as Sally dressed as Benson Boone. - What do you think? - I-- - With two guns. - No, I'm sorry. You guys, it's going to be a little dark for a while. - Two guns, I'm just flying in there. - You and a blue sequined jumpsuit. - Tucked. - You have to be tucked. - Well, of course. - Well, of course. - Goes without saying. - You do a backflip, every time I realize. - And I tucked for Halloween one time, and I didn't know that you put a sock over your dick before. So then it was just tape on my pubes, and I just essentially had to wax at the end of the night. - tape on my pubes. - What? - Is that Laura? - Laura, is that Virgin? - Yeah. - Love you. - I love you too. Well, anyone love us? - I'm not sure. But now that you're single, what you're going to do is you're going to do a bunch of stuff that you've wanted to do. Like for me, it's getting bangs. It's getting my nipple reappearsed. I just got my nails done. It's like, you're going to just try a bunch of stuff and some of it is going to be really fucking painful. - Try everything, try everything. - Some of it's going to be painful. - You have to compliment everything I do today. - It was really good. - Yeah. (laughing) - Try everything. - Remember when Shakira, I forgot this one out of pocket. Shakira was like, fuck the Barbie movie. That's just raising pussies. Like, that was kind of the vibe. - Oh, she was like, men should be men. - Yeah. - Yeah, that's out of pocket for sure. - Yeah. - What do I want to try? - You don't have to know right now. - I found out a lot of things I don't want last night. Last night was a huge learning. It's a lot of lessons and a lot of character building. - I really, I don't think we've ever looked cuter, though. It just breaks me. - Can I just say to all the people listening to this, I'm done with character building experiences for the year. If you were brought into my life to help, I don't want to learn any lessons, I'm good. I'm so good, I'm so fine. I'm so resilient and I'm really in my power and like, I've learned so much this year. - We are bangs. - I need a break. I really just need a break. Benny and I are trading personal tragedies this season so sometimes we do ads alone. Oh yeah! Speaking of, non-verbal. So this is something that I didn't know existed until I would say recently going non-verbal. So I, as a kid, I was like the one where, if my mom was like going to the store or something, I'd be like, I'm in the car and I'm just like chatty, you know, I'm chatty-cathy as they call me, you know, all the time. So I love yapping. I love it. I love it when I love it I love it I love it I love it I love it I love it I love - Who's a star? - I, okay. - You're in the car, you're a chatty. - In the car chatty, telling stories of old stories of new, I love giving compliments. - Love me. - Choose me. - Pick me. - Pick me. - I think if there's not talking, I'm like, this person's sad. I have to help or like, I need to fill the space. - Fill the space, yeah. - And I do, I have felt that. It's very, you know, over-compensating. I mean, a whole TV show about it's on prime. If you haven't watched yet, I think at a certain point, there's a hatred of me. - This is personal. - It's personal. You've reached the personal point of the program. So here's the thing, no, I'm serious. I'm freaking dead ass right now. Watch the goddamn show. But I think through it, almost like during the show, I learned the power and the gift of going nonverbal. And I think everyone deserves to give themselves this gift. - You can invoke it at any time. - And I think it's why I started to love being at airports around planes because it is such a quiet time if you're traveling alone. I'd be like, I'm just blasting, Lord, hammer, obviously. I'm blasting, I'm blasting Virgin. I'm ripping through airports. I'm eating shake-shack, laughing. I love laughing after every bite, sobbing, and then getting touched, thank God. But yeah, I started to, I think, see how much it could fill me. And I love being around people too. I love a concert. I love, well, I guess concert is kind of also nonverbal in a way. - Yeah. - But you can, and you can do that. - But I really learned it on set because Wally, our darling doll, my darling baby girl, she is so good at it. She can just be like, I need to sec, and I'm just gonna go over here and be silent for a bit. I started the shoot and I was going to every single lunch with everyone. And I just, we were doing a lot of scenes hours were long and I was doing re-writes and I was just kind of-- - I mean, you had 10 different jobs. - Yeah, I was like, whoa, fighting with you about your costumes, just kidding, you were lovely. - But I would say about weeks. - Here's the thing on that. - I would say about-- - If I may. - You might not. - Then (beep) - Wait, I wanna remember this. - I wanna be a straight boyfriend 'cause it'd be so easy to treat a woman well. - Oh my God, it's the easiest thing in the world. - Let me just tell you, I love you. - Let me take care of you. - No, I'm literally like, oh, you wanna be-- - Let me take care of that. - You wanna be healthy. - No, I'm so fucking done. Cut the cameras again, I'm done. - It's actually not that complicated. I think everyone's complicating all these things too much. It really is as simple as, like, I'm just totally gagged for you. - Well, you know my new thing, I'm gagged for you. - If you're talking to a guy and you go, I just can't tell if you're gagged for me. And just see what they say. 'Cause if you're not gagged for me, then I really don't wanna have sex with you. 'Cause what's the point? - Yeah, are you melting? - Are you meeting for me to text you? - Yeah. - If not, then let's just cut the shit. Let's just walk away. - Totally. You want sex with me? - Talk to me. - Talk to me. So, actually don't. - But actually don't. - Don't come fucking near me. It texted you, what did I say? I said, "I can't believe God gave me this delicate heart and this huge butt." He laughs. - God's a perv. - And it's a, he-- - You know what? God's a perv. - Which you said, no, you said God is a woman because-- - Oh, 'cause-- - A man would've given you huge tits. (laughing) - Well, I think God's a perv. Why do teenagers have big boobs, weirdo? That's so weird. - Dear media, this one has-- It's like she wants to take every clip for herself. It's so obvious. - Continue. - What was I saying? But nonverbal. Oh, okay, so I would eat with everyone. It was just like, at a certain point, it just was like, holy fuck. And then the end of the day would happen. And I was like, "I can't even really function." And while he was like, "Sweetie, go take a nap at lunch." You don't have to eat with everyone. It's okay. Everyone's gonna be mad at you. I would love if everyone said that to me five times a day. No one's gonna be mad at you. - New error alert. - New error alert. I'm trying to find where I don't need it. 'Cause I've now done the things. And I'm like, "Oh, yeah, they aren't mad." Actually, this is me taking care of myself. - They actually didn't give it a second thought. - No, in fact, they don't even fucking miss me in the lunch room. I come back at the end. - In the lunch room. - I'm back, baby. This is silent. You'll fucking miss me. But, wow, I'm really killing for you today. - I'm just, I'm letting you have the floor, darling. - I don't want it. - I keep interrupting you. - I don't want it. - I'm like, "Oh, I hate taking all this." Like, you do announcements on here. - Someone DMs me and they go, "How do you feel about talking about the state of the world "and Benny's across from me wearing a Prada Polotop?" And I said, "How fucking dare you?" I was wearing a sandy-leang dress. You're not even a comment on that. - Was that wearing Prada? - So expensive. - Wait, it was vintage. - And here's what I want to say on the record, and I'm quoting myself here. I love clothes and I love stuff. I love people more. - Yeah. - If you told me I had to give all my designer clothes away and that would like, solve the housing crisis, I would. - Yeah, I would. - That's not an option right now. - But then I'd bark in a little bit 'cause it's like, "You don't mean all of it." - Well, a couple things out. - Yeah, come on. - I can be a socialist with a Dior bag. - Here it is again. - Now go ahead. - I'm like, "I'm just doing fuck." But yeah, I learned the power of being nonverbal. I felt that it gave me more juice. - Yeah, you have to refuel sometimes. - You have to refuel, give yourself that time. Sometimes I even say after a long day of work, I'll be like, "It's a nonverbal night for me. I'm just gonna watch something." - Call Mary Beth. - I'm gonna call Mary Beth. - Call for an hour. - That counts as nonverbal, do you understand? - Yes. I've never understood something more. - Finally, we're on the same page today. You're so jealous that I had my big announcement. These are usually yours. - I know, I wish I had another tragedy to announce on ride. - Hey, give it time. - I'll give it a week or two. Hey, I give it a week. - What's that from? - It's a movie or something. - It's a movie. - It's pretend. We kind of only see that now, this podcast. Should we cancel it, you guys tell us. - Do you guys even care anymore? - Do you like this? - Seriously, do you care? Do we just have to start naming celebrities we have beef with? Is that what the podcast will become? Like, I will, but I don't want to, but I will. - Yeah, maybe we still have to start having guests. - Oh, oh my God, my idea, which is to have guests, but it's just people I want to hook up with. It's just people I have crushes on. - And that, wait, and then the guests, the guests never know. I'm used to power. - I'm used to power. - Finally. Finally, one minute. - Come to come to the studio. - But the, the joy is that all the listeners know, but the guys who are booked never know that that's the whole podcast. - 'Cause they've never heard the podcast. - Yeah, they've never listened. - We should be our first guest. Our first guest, we've had guests. - First guest. God, I don't know. - We'll believe it. - Who do you want on the bench? - You think about it. I'll check my list of crushes. We'll get my top choice on here. - Okay. - Shoot for the moon. - People are begging to be guests on here. I'm like, is that what I have to do to get you to see me as a sexual being? Have you on my podcast? - Isn't that the opposite? - That's what you'd think. - But yeah, we should start having guests. - But all to say, nonverbal, and this could be getting in the bath, watching your favorite show. Listening to ride, honestly, let us yeah, Pat, yeah. I think there is so much power in it. Allow yourself, and can I just say to the people, please, there's of the world. People, please, there's united. - Not a real thing. - PPU. - People, please, there's aren't real. - I think you have an ugly heart, and I think you're jealous. - It's just funny. - You wish you were a gay man, but you're not. - Some people, who identify as people, please, are just so not. people, please. There's that. On your minds, the entire premise, I agree. You're not one of us. You're not. It's like when Kevin Spacey wanted to be gay. Can I finally say that he smiled at me at an airport? Finally. Yeah. So imagine going through a break up in Kevin Spacey smiles at you at an airport. Do you have anything to say? Please say it. He's speechless. He's going on verbal. I mean, yeah, going on verbal on this one. I was nonverbal. I just thought he shouldn't be allowed to fly. He should be on a no fly list. Do you know how many potential victims are on that flight? This is our last episode. I really think it might be. Oh my God. He literally you. You wore a mini dress for my break up. So that's and that happened. I texted Mary Beth. I go, so that just happened. I was I wanted to do a grid post. It's just a carousel of text. I've gotten from gay guys. I anonymize it. Except the one of for me, you can letter it. I have to read this text. I got from a gay guy the other day. It's going to rock you. This was really cracked me up. I said, are you seeing anyone? He goes, I am of course in a toxic situation ship with a real estate agent who comes from a seam family wealth. He's partnered, opened on some level, but it's a secret. Have feelings ended it, but started again. Been going on for a year and a half. Are you? He had that in his notes app. Yeah. It's just like people. He put a keyboard shirt. Yeah. It's been a year and a half. Okay. Did I ever tell you about the prank I did of keyboard short cuts in college? Tell me right now. It was my. How have you not told me this? This is I'm so excited. This is this was my best prank of all time. I in this girl's phone. I just made everything like thanks or high or goodbye or night. I made all of it like just fucking insane shit. Like such like this is genius. We would do like this was a friend. So it's you know, it's not yourself. She killed herself. Well, she's long gone. We miss her dearly, but we did like, you know, I'm Harney. Like I like I see dead people every time she said bye bye. I just it was so and also every time she said it love it be a bit is he there was a gain as to everything. Of course, of course, because I am member when I accidentally set you up with a 20 year old bisexual. How many times do I have to tell you we're not talking about these singles. So right out of context for this, actually, can I request we don't do it? Have to. I need it more than I've ever needed anything. Let's get in the rider. Oh, wait. You're good on that prank. It was so funny. I love the prank. Don't ever do some shit like that to me, but I think it's fabulous. It's just annoying. It's not going to cause any harm. So I love that. But it is one of those things where like it could make you text less. It's like use your phone less. Yeah, you're addicted to the problem. Hey, be in the process of your treatment program. Yeah. You know what you are, Marybeth? Bisexual. Oh, yeah. But you're also my rider. Die. Ride or die. So I think going nonverbal is so powerful and I do it. I think comfortable silence, as we've talked about in previous episodes, it's like sometimes you can go nonverbal even around people. And that can be really powerful. Yeah, just like when we're in the car listening to music, we're just nonverbal. We're just like enjoying like existing for a little bit, not thinking about the state of the world and how scary it is right now. Yeah. Maybe you're just like, you're just thinking about happy thoughts. Thank you, sweetie. I think you've you've taught me as well. You know, we can just lay in half a week, lick the inside of my mouth and so much power and being quiet. So much power. In fact, your silence is defining defining speaks. You might be complicit. So for me getting bangs in your 30s, I think it's the total energy right now. Next time I want to cut them for you, I think I could cut a good bang. Totally. I could bang you up. Hi, the scissors. You know, I love those ones that Courtney Cox has in screen three. They're like up to her 10. So I could never do some shit like that, but I think it's cool that people can. I think you kill. I think you kill. I think you'd be really good with the Dakota Johnson. I know. I'm thinking about it. Is it annoying though? Like do your eyes feel like tickled all day? No. They don't feel tickled. No, if anything, it's nice to be touched. Yeah. That's, yeah. That's why I said to the Buroni who came up and touched my arm. It's just nice to be touched. I'm sobbing. She's like for free. She goes, okay. Yeah. So I ride for it. How could I not? I'm so proud of you for doing it. When you sent me the first photo, I gasped. It really like woke me up. I had a brewery event that night. I know you. Yeah. Well, of course, I could tell you what you were wearing. I know everything that you do and say and have lived in that thing. Yeah. So, but yeah, what a great example for the Buroni's. Like go out there. Also, I think you can I just say yours don't feel like a huge commitment and change. Maybe it's a tiptoe. Let's see how they look before we submit to the whole look. Totally. Although I think like fuck it. Let her rip hair grows either or I say that, but it's also like a bad haircut could send me into psychosis. So I don't know. You know, maybe you're full of shit. So this is the last episode. The penultimate. I want to thank all of you for just being sweet. Being along for the ride. I want to thank my friend. I love you because I love my friend. I'm sorry to to do this. My heart breaks when things end, but I think you're both incredible people. Thank you. And I just look forward to watching what you guys do next both in and out of sucking and fucking work wise too. Should we say um Grandpa Terry forever? Oh my exit. Any babe eyes in the road. There you go. Please note that this episode may contain paid endorsements and advertisements for products and services.
