The Greens urge Angus Taylor to stand up to one nation and in the World Cup wins the Columbia, Croatia and Portugal on date 13 of the tournament. The treasure of Jim Charmer says the latest inflation figures are a very welcome set of numbers. The headline inflation rate has fallen from 4.2 to 4%, but there's been an increase in what's called underlying inflation, which is the Reserve Bank's preferred measure. That's risen from 3.4 to 3.6% in the last 12 months to April. The Reserve Bank has warned inflation will keep rising because of the impact of the war in the Middle East. Jim Charmer says the overall figures mean Australia is well placed to deal with inflation repressures. This is a very welcome set of numbers, which shows that inflation fell once again. For the second month in a row, we're not complacent about that. We know that there are still inflation repressures in our economy that's reflected in the underlying measure. But these numbers today are much better than the market expected, much better than forecast. And that's obviously a very good thing. Opposition leader Angus Taylor has drawn criticism from the Greens for refusing to say whether the coalition still supports multiculturalism. In a statement, Mr Taylor says he believes in a type of multiculturalism where everyone respects Australia's laws, shares our values and contributes to the fabric of our society. He says he rejects Labour's multiculturalism, which sees different people held to different standards because of their cultural background. His comments are at odds with those of Deputy Leader Jane Hume, who says Australia is already a multicultural society. There a new debate about multiculturalism started after one nation leader Pauline Hanson, called for Australia to be monocultural. Green Senator Nick McKim says Angus Taylor needs to stand up to one nation. What I would say to Angus Taylor is you can't outflank fascists to the right and one nation are a dangerous political force. They are based on setting on racism and setting one Australian against another. A woman who was mauled by a shark has briefly regained consciousness after more than a week in a coma. Leigh Stewart had spent more than a week on life support in about five days undergoing surgeries, including an arm and mutation, writing on a fundraising paper, Brother Josh, says she was able to tell her mother and partner that she loved them after waking from the coma. The Australian tax offices urging people not to rush their file, their tax return, and to wait for the pre-films to become available to reduce errors. By late July, most pre-fil information is available in returns, including wages, bank interest, government payments, and private health insurance details. ATO Assistant Commissioner Anita Chalin has told SBS Aldo that using the pre-fil options saves time and effort and also reduces the risk of mistakes. Our focus is always to try and work with taxpayers in the first instance so that they get it right. We sort of reserve penalties or any other consequences for those more deliberate occasions where people might be putting things in knowing that they're incorrect. In most instances, if it's a genuine mistake, we'll work with you to make sure that you get it right in your tax return. Let's go to the World Cup now and Sockleroo's Assistant Coach Paul O'Conn says the team doesn't have a specific plan for the players who are on a yellow card entering Friday's game against Paraguay. A win or draw against Paraguay will guarantee Australia a spot in the knockout stage. But the Sockleroo's four players are Le Sandero Chirro Tlatati, Harry Sutter, Jacob Italiano, and Jordan Boss, who would be suspended for any round of 32 match if they pick up another yellow card in the Paraguay game. O'Conn says the coaching staff trusts the players. Vettron Matt Lecky will miss the game against Paraguay with the hamstring injury he suffered in the last game against the United States. And England mid-fielder Jude Bellingham is playing down the sides, Neil Aldraw with Garner in Boston. It was a frustrating game for England who dominated possession, but were unable to convert that into a goal against a defensively-oriented Garner lineup. England is still top of Grubell after two games, though, and Bellingham says it's important to move on as usual. They got exactly out of the game, what they played for, couldn't quite break them down, and even with all the corners, all the possession, all the kind of shots on goal from distance. But it's one of those things that happens. It's important for us and for you guys as well, not to get too negative, not to get too help on it. In other results on day 13, a second half goal from Ante Boudmeer has given Croatia a 1-0 victory over Panama in Toronto eliminating Panama. Cristiano Ronaldo has scored twice in Portugal's 5-0, belting of Uzbekistan in Houston, and a goal from Daniel Muñoz in the 76-minute as booked Columbia's knockout stage spot with a 1-0 win over the Democratic Republic of Congo.
