Gaten Matarazzo & Sean Giambrone - Mark Normand & Sam Morril - We Might Be Drunk Podcast

The host and guest discuss the rising popularity of their show on Netflix, celebrating its climb to the Top 10 and the energy from live appearances, especially with Seth Meyers. They explore humorous and personal anecdotes, including awkward intimacy moments and the absurdity of modern internet culture, such as Doja Cat retracting criticism of ballet after realizing it was performative. The conversation delves into deeper cultural themes like bias in the Oscars, the pressure of diversity mandates in film, and the artificiality of Hollywood’s "bubble" politics. They contrast these with the enduring appeal of classic movies, highlighting how timeless storytelling still resonates. A strong thread runs through nostalgia—old Hollywood, Star Wars, and 1980s films—showing how personal and collective memory shapes cultural identity. The discussion also touches on lifestyle choices, including life insurance, healthier eating, and social wellness, framing them as practical extensions of a thoughtful, grounded life. Ultimately, the dialogue balances humor, irony, and insight, reflecting on how entertainment, identity, and responsibility intersect in modern society. While the hosts critique oversimplification in media and politics, they remain optimistic about authenticity, creativity, and shared human experience. The tone remains lighthearted, grounded in personal anecdotes, and ultimately celebrates both the chaos and beauty of everyday life.

[music] Yo! We're here! It's early. Top 10 special on Netflix. We're number six right now. We're hope to keep climbing. You're going to climb, man. Well, WWE RAW is in there. You can't fuck with RAW. Yeah. RAW and Dark RAW. You can fuck RAW. But you can't fuck with RAW. Yes, exactly. There, there. But even fucking RAW. Bad idea. Bad idea, but. Boy, it feels good. It does feel good. And women like it. Sometimes it's their idea. I know. That's a misconception. That's how they get you. When I was single, I was like. That's conception, my friend. That's true. It's not a baby-token-sept-wait. What is it? I don't know. But. It's not get political here, Mark. Every girl was like, "It's taking off. Come on. I want to feel you." I'm like, "What are you crazy?" But you still do it. You ever stay in too long and it shrinks and then the condoms left in there. And you're like, "Can you get pregnant that way?" Probably. Hello. That's Drake. That's us. But yeah, that's a good question. I've never had that. I drop it in like a drug deal. Damn. Take it in there with you. Yeah. You're sprinkling crack. No. You left it like an old shirt in a living room. Holy moly. Sometimes it gets strong clam muscles. That's true. Clam muscles. Oh, yeah. We got a young guest going. Everybody's buzzing about who the guest was. I love it. Oh, about the canceled episode. Yeah. It's all over reddit. Let's say no to a few names because I've gotten some messages being like, "Can you at least get me out of the woods here?" So it's not Derek Strupp. No. No, no. I like Strupp. And it's not Dusty Slay. No, it's not Slay. It's not a real comic, honestly. It's not like a traditional comic. Yeah. There you go. There you go. That's a good way to put it. Yeah. Yeah. He's not big. He probably wouldn't be known to be honest. So he's big. And yeah, I guess. But I didn't know him before we had him on. Yeah. I guess I didn't really know of him. So-- Were there any other names that threw out there that we should-- I heard Regan was one. Regan's been on. He's been on. Yeah. Eglaceous. We recorded with him. It's coming out. That's coming out. Good app. It was fun. You'll never get it in a million years. But it's fun. People live. It's red meat in the water. They love this shit. They love it. So keep guessing quips. You'll never get it. You feeling good though to be in the top 10 right now? Feeling good. I was getting nervous. I was like, oh, god. Everybody's in the top. Everybody got in the top 10. But yeah, I'm just-- I'm gassed. All the sets at night, chase, chase, coming out today. Did Seth Meyers yesterday-- Oh, how was it? Oh, it was so great. He's the man. The couch is a breeze. Well, he also is a joke, guys. So he just gets jokes. So he just sets you up. Totally, totally. We had a great time. The studio audience was white hot. And I followed him like a Hollywood or a Broadway actor. Snews Fest. Really? So I got to come in and throw some heat. Well, we're going to have some detective work to see us at us, too. Yeah, she was very nice. But it's not exactly slinging the zingers. So, but yeah, he's the coolest guy. He came in. You know, he comes in the green room. I'm with the wife and everybody. And he's like, hey, what's up, everybody? And he left and she goes, man, he's charming. He's so cool. He's so cool. You wonder why these guys get these positions? I went on a date with a woman once. And he put in a good word for me. I found out later, she goes, I know Seth Meyers. And I was like, is this guy cool? And he was like, hey, he's cool. And I was like, Seth for the assist, dude. What a guy. Yeah, dude. What a man. Good, dude. I was like, I always was a fan. Not even put me over the top. I was like, Seth is cool. Yeah. Yeah, he's a joke guy. He gets it. He is great jokes. Great jokes. I talked about seeing him at the beacon. He was really flattered. And he was super complimentary. He's like, you have a joke every 10 seconds. What the hell you do with your life. So, we bonded. I did a Zach Lowe's live show. It's like a basketball podcast. 1100 people at the Paramount in Brooklyn. Wow. They cut my favorite joke I told. Oh. They get nervous. Because I brought up Stephen A Smith and everyone booed. And I was like, yeah, because he's a next fan. But like, we don't claim him as a next fan. Like sure. Mixed fans claim Stephen A the way Jews claim Epstein. That's great joke. A applause break. They cut it. Why would you cut that? Is it because Epstein or Stephen A? The people upstairs. Got it. Which I don't even know. I'm getting sick of hearing about the people upstairs. Yeah. Who are they? Yeah. Who are these people? Who are these humorless people upstairs? Right. Because everybody says that's the Jews. But I feel like the Jews would like that joke. Although I'll tell you a story actually once. I did a show. I interviewed a basketball player. I won't say his name. I interviewed a player once. And they said, don't mention your Jew. And I was like, I wasn't going to. This is a weird intro. Yeah. What is Spike Lee out there? What the hell? What was the player? Okay. Because there is that Israeli player. Yeah. Things have gone haywire. Whites are in the Jews. Whites are killed in the WNBA. Michael Jordan is doing NASCAR. Everything's topsy-turvy. Michael Jordan. Yeah. He's ahead of NASCAR now. He's winning all these cups. Is that real? Yeah. He's killing it in NASCAR. So I'm just saying, everything is flipped and flopped. What are you talking about? Look at that. He's not a driver. But he owns a bunch of teams and he's out there on the field. He's the only black guy in a million miles. It's great. He just wants to conquer everything. I mean, that was the thing. Like he had basketball and then it was like, I want to do baseball. And it's like, you're so good at basketball. I know. Like you're good at baseball for a normal dude. Yeah. But he couldn't hit a curveball. He had Bo Jackson. He was a. And do you have. He's a Sanders. Oh, that's true. That's like anomalies. Yeah. And there's a few that say they're like, they're like, Iverson could have played like anything. Oh, yeah. It's a ball. I could have been a quarterback. Could have played baseball. But you never know. Right. Right. Because then Charlie Ward for the next one, the Heisman and he ends up playing point guard for the next. Wow. That's incredible. Crazy. Damn. Yeah. Specimens. Crazy dude. And you got to get there with little comedy. You got like a Donald Glover who can rap. Do stand up. Act. Jamie Foxx. Jamie Foxx. Jamie Foxx is one of those insanely talented dudes. Yeah. We need a white guy. Who's the talented white guy? Who can do a lot? Danny Ange. Who? Danny Ange played for the. Play for the Celtics. And he played in the majors, right? Oh, all right. Danny Ange, yeah. There we go. Angie. Yeah. Angie. I got you. I got weird. That's unfortunate. Like, I can't remember a girl I'm dating's birthday. But I could tell you what fucking Wade Boggs back in '94. I got a real problem. Yeah. Well, I meant comedy. Who's a white guy in comedy who's just all over the map. Like acting. Mateo. Mateo can like draw. He can say. Oh, that's true. He can do a lot of stuff. That's true. Mateo. Matt, right. What are you doing to me here? Can you sing? You know, who can sing? Danny Jollis. Really? Yeah. Huh. Yeah. And he can act. Wow. Yeah. I mean, he's talented. My wife made a great point. She was like, how do men know they can sing? You can find that out. You just at home like, oh, the hills are alive. Hey, man. That sounds pretty good. Like, how do you find that out? That's interesting. Maybe you're just like. You singing along to the Led Zeppelin or something. Yeah. What is it? How do you figure that out? Hmm. Maybe you're just saying along. Someone's like, you're pretty good. Yeah. I guess. Yeah. Yeah. But she makes a great point. I know I can't sing. Some people say you can learn. You can learn, like, somewhat to sing. Yeah. But I don't know, dude. I'm not sure if you're going to sing. And it's like yeah, he gets a little romantic sometimes, but he's you know, I like what Leonard Cone is you so self-deprecating like Like Bob Dylan's breakup songs are so angry. Yes, you know like how does it feel you stupid bitch? Where's like Leonard Cone is more just like you know, he's more positive. He's like I fucked up, you know It's more like that energy. It's like more Quinn used to have a joke of every like Bob Dylan song is like So fucking angry. Yeah. Yeah. No, he's a he's a kind of a little bitch about every breakup. Yeah, but like Leonard Cone is definitely like You know, he's a song about Janice Joplin. You told me again. You preferred handsome men, but for me you make an exception That's a great fucking line. Yes. It's Chelsea hotel. I mean, he's a great writer so I could yeah He got a little emotional sometimes, but it like felt earned and also he was like you know that guy was like a poet man Yeah, totally a poet and in dark. He had a darkness to him that last album his first song is like I'm ready to die Jesus Christ. There's 11 more of these on this fucking album. Yeah, put that as the closer. Yeah, that was crazy Do you ever hear idiot wind by Bob Dylan that the breakup song for his wife? No, I have not oh, it's so harsh It's he's like I can't even touch the books you've read like he and he says any time you open your mouth is idiot wind Yeah, well, you married her. Wow. What does that say about you good point? Also, that's what I call a quiff idiot wind Lady okay, but I mean what the hell it's like yeah, you you're so stupid What about you was like I got a fucking I got a till death this woman right here. Yeah, good point good point Yeah, I don't think he was thinking clearly with a lot of these relationships probably yeah probably a lot of drugs Yeah, yeah, I mean look Bob Dylan's amazing. I'm a sure I'm sure sweet, but Is it cone? Yes, sir. Wow. He was a he wasn't that bad looking No, it's all he's self-deprecating. Yeah, it's not a bad looking guy great out of here. Yeah. Yeah, he's tall right I don't think so Oh, I thought he was like a super tall guy. I bet he's exactly your height. What are you sick? That's tall He's not six three Lenocon every six three. I'll be shocked Montreal guy Montreal dude nice Five nine Wow, no way. Wow. I thought he was tall. I don't know why he seems tall. I get maybe it's the hat Did a thing where he's like if I make it to 80 I'm gonna start smoking cigarettes again, and he did I love that but he didn't last long after that I think he fell in a flight of stairs or something. Oh, okay. Okay. Yeah Speaking of Chelsea hotel after Seth Meyers, I went and got a steak dinner at the Chelsea Hotel It just felt felt very New York damn how the food there's great right great food great bar over there That's a cool spot. Good hang couches everywhere So we did that would they give you a car it said Meyer so I took the wife down We got a steak dinner and I did a set of Gotham at one home You couldn't just let the night. I couldn't do it and I made her sit there while I did the set I was like I'll be right back the 12 minutes and came back and bombed He's go from a high on that's why you end on the on the Gotham night. I know you before the Gotham night Yeah, I couldn't do it. No, I'm I'm being more selective with sets I'm in the process of building back up but once but you know doing a couple your show is really fun. Oh, yeah, I did I've done a couple shows. I'm working it back in but the crowd went no it was nice to get here You get a pop that was nice. Yeah, yeah, you're show man. Everyone's day come on by. I'll keep coming dude. It's a hot one I'd love to keep coming by come on. Bye. That was a fun one. Yeah, she she comes out today doing rich eyes and oh He's the next week. Yeah excited about that life when LA run one day in LA. And I'm doing Harlow Williams, Bobby Lee, Santino, Rich Eyes and and I think Dana Carvey and maybe Adam Ray Seven podcasts in a day. Well, yeah, I guess a day and a half because that's awful taking a red eye. What are you thinking? I don't know. I'm just getting in getting out. I get a crazy idea for you two days. Well, the kid is gonna be neglected. I feel bad It's all for the kid Then don't do the Gotham set. He was asleep and he was asleep by then. But yeah, I'm burning at both ends But once I get on that I'll find a solution for that many pods in a row. I can't talk that much Well, either you get way worse or you get better because you're getting like this loopy. I don't give a shit stage kind of sometimes It's like conception or something. You're in like a different. Yeah. Yeah, but it's a different realm But it's like when you eight sets in a row. You're like, oh man. I'm loose. Right So yeah, two please on Netflix right now, Croschen Top 10 we made the top 10. Thank God. You know, it's funny. Seth Myers does the whole they give me the call But they're like, what do you want to talk about? I was like, hey, I want to talk about this the whiskey whatever and they go How about this? How about they didn't like any of my ideas and I was like, how about a the guy goes? How about we talk about how you got started and what's your writing process? And I had to shut the guy down which you know, I've never done in my life where I was like, hey, hey That's been done to death. Nobody cares. There's a live audience writing process is good if you're on like fresh air It's not it's not good for like a crowd. You need you need stuff to pop in a crowd totally totally so I wouldn't shift it to what topics? Well, it was St. Paddy's day so I had a whole Irish chunk so we talked about that and then Talk about the wife was there. So I talked about meeting her at a comedy show where she was on a date with a guy and I snagged her I Bird dog there as they say. That's good. That was fun The same patty's day is fucking rough man. It really is like and you see if they treat it like Halloween where they go out on the saturday before Oh, God, he's animals. Well, I mean all we need is any sick go to my own St. Paddy's day new year We do the amateur drinkers, right? They're not the real the real drinkers are quiet at the end of the bar and we do it all year It's yeah, it's santa con. It's another santa con. It's that's right. It's Irish santa con. It is yeah, it's St. Paddy a con, I guess But last time I was taking an uber home. I look at the you know that bar swift. Yeah, it's a good one great Irish bar I was a New York comedy club on four streets So I passed by swift and it was like a Renaissance painting. There was an ambulance outside two guys were fist fighting a couple was making out one Horror lady was smoking and then like a guy was pissing in a garbage can. It was a it was like a beautiful thing I was like I love New York. I'm going home. Oh, we need is a Broadway dancer. We got the whole thing That's wild. Yeah. Oh, somebody's here Oh, get it out He's farting on a minor. Is that a penalty? He's not a minor. Oh, he's on how old is it? There we go man my gauge is way off. Yeah, you might want to get that checked Getting trouble here. That's a bad gauge to be off my needles are like this She was 42 year on her says you're 13 Boy you watching train dreams. No is it good watching? It's a TV show. Well, it's on Netflix It gets the season to a train is it it's good. It's so good. It's like a throwback. It feels like a 70s movie I love what you told me it's like an old school like Terrence Mallick. Yes. Yes. Exactly. It's heavy. It's emotional It's slow and then painful break. I like that actor. He's great. So Edgerton. That's his name. He carries it. He's a good actor It's incredible. I didn't see it. Did you watch the Oscars at all? I didn't You know, I was at the next game that night, but you know I think our predictions were like kind of close right? Yeah, yeah And also Michael B. Jordan. He's fucking great. Like I got noticed you played two guys I like I think that thing they did with him in the crowd where there was like a bunch He was all the seat fillers with Michael B. Jordan. That was fun. That was fun. Conan's great. It's a tight room His tone is so good though. His tone is not preachy. It's just like let's have fun silly Good movies in this room. It's it's a good vibe. It's sharp, but not mean Yeah, it was it was pretty fun, man. I dug it. They're opening with him in the makeup as the weapons lady was brilliant And I love the Ted Sarando's joke. It's your first time in the theater. That was great. That was great That was great, man. Yeah, I loved Conan Conan's the best and Timothy Shalibu got waxed. I mean, he got nothing. You know, it's fucking great. Well He's two nominees right the best actor in best picture. He's the producer. But yeah, the Shalimay shit whether just like Timothy Shalimay You know he uh, he made fun of ballet. The ballet. It's like dude. We started another war I don't know. No, I'm seeing headlines like the Shalimay deserve a path to redemption. I'm gonna go with uh, yeah It's the lightest cancel of what we got Epstein's island. We got all this shit going on and we're like uh Opera you sit on the opera and I and I respect if you are in the battle Especially ballet because that's like transitory that career You only get a few years right? What do you retire like 28 for ballet? Yeah, but at the same time, you know Because you're doing it for the money. I mean, you're not doing it for the money rather ballet Yeah, because we fucking love it. Yeah, truly love it. So I love that But also it's like this is like a Paul Dana Tarantino situation. Yeah. Yeah, we're like You got shed on and everyone's like what the fuck? Yeah, all right. Take the w. Yeah, this is the most national press The ballet or opera. I've gotten 100% since what like fucking black swan. Yeah, and that was this is the lesbian angle and they were hot They were hot. Yeah, and Aaron off. He's good. Yeah, I was a good movie good movie, but I know it was a sexy movie too This blew my mind and see if you can find this thing or banana shirt. Yeah, sir Uh-oh is that okay, so that was the guess uh Did you see would do a leapah wrote? No, don't you can't don't you can't? Doja cat shit on chalmy heart. She like went at him with the ballet. Oh really. Yeah, what did doja cat? She was like fuck this guy blah blah blah and then a day later She tweets this long thing she goes, you know what? I'm not gonna lie. I don't even care about the ballet I was trying to get clicks. I don't I don't think what Shalma did was that wrong I was just trying to get attention and drum up some some buzz. I apologize No one has ever done that in history that lady deserves a medal. I'm going to see you're not a medal Not a medal. Well not settled down. Well people can't even go. I never thought about that way Or that's a good point like people can't even retract that much. I like that And you never see it on social media. I'll give you that but at the same time. I was trying to get clicks So you're just saying I'm a fame whore. Yes, I don't think that deserves that. She said no She said I apologize for trying to be a social justice warrior wall her tits her out while she's trying to get more clicks I didn't see the tits actually. I just saw the written professor just hanging out I shouldn't have been trying to get attention like that. That was Anyway, so she's like I've never even gone to a ballet. I've never seen an opera. I don't know what I was doing I was doing it for social media I'm just saying that's cool. I just respect people who are like I'm giving my life to something because I truly love it And money is not has nothing to do with it and that's how the ballet people in the oboe But the same time like who gives a fuck he made he miss either misspoke or he like, you know, yeah, whatever like it's And he's right. I don't think it cares about the ballet like no people care. No people care. Point clearly people care Okay, I don't know. I think it was a what is this? Yeah, her mom's a dancer Missy Shalimates mom was a ballet performer on Broadway. So he knows how little people are it's responding to the art form It's a nish art form. That's that's what he said it's niche, but it's been around forever. Of course, you know, I couldn't do it And to be honest, movies are going down every year. So you're putting that energy out there. They're People are talking like movies that way people already probably yeah, we're like magazine movies are magazines They might be out soon, which is a sad state of affairs. I hope them. I hope that's not the case. I think theaters I should say movies will be around forever. That's a bummer. Of course, but I'm part of the problem I don't go to the theaters that much anymore. I don't either. It's like WNBA. We all bitch about the sales, but then no one's going By the way, Maddie and again, I go to WNBA games. I support the WNBA and the theater The theater sometimes the weapons actress I'm saying is the weapons actor nominated in 86 and then one in 2026 Marking the longest time anyone's been nominated to when they won. Hey, and it Harris's lady How about that couple? That's a powerhouse couple right there. Ed Harris is fucking cool, dude. Great actor good face Pollock Dude, uh, what's the gone baby gone? Oh, yeah, he's awesome in that one. He's in 10 Truman show Glengarry Glen Ross. Yes, welcome to the rock. He's fucking cool and a history of violence. Oh, yeah great Small roll, but pretty great and everything state of grace. I started. I got to I gotta go back. It's beautiful. Damn. I gotta go back. It's great Yeah, Sean, I was in the mood. Why don't you just get on the right mood. Yeah My mom is in the bald guys. So she was always a drool over him him and a Patrick Stewart Patrick, you love We're gonna be in a star track. Oh my God captain Picard love Picard Big Picard fan. I guess it's about to ask for this episode. I'd be withdrawn. He's here. I think Never again. We're not withdrawn. You're promoting a these guests are promoting a new movie like it looks like a fun Throwback movie American high. No, it's called pizza movie pizza movie. Yeah, what the hell? Do any research on our guests? I just got the trailer Pizza movie. That's the one. Thank God we talked On Hulu. Yeah, it looks really good actually. Oh, it looks fun. I watched a trailer played It looks like an old school like Harold and Kumar type. Oh, great. I love that. Yeah, just saying what the doja cat thing I thought it was cool that you did see that Neil Brennan pose where he's like liberals stop yelling at other liberals And I felt like that's what this was like letter letter apology. No, I hear that I hear that And yeah, Neil got attacked Neil got attacked. Yeah again, which I thought was fun But yeah, but it just shows that what a bubble is when people try to like throw an olive branch and like let's all try and they're like Fuck you. I know this is the problem exactly exactly and he was also one of those comics who's actually really good at You know, threatening the needle and yeah, I'm like sure you know he's liberal, but he can appeal to both sides totally to a good jokes Yeah, yeah, so I salute you doja. I've never served of you. I don't know anything about you What is she what's like a doja song. I'm going to the neck and we play come quick. We're gonna get Sure What they're actors Weird will be it'll be great. Yeah, we'll make them feel Very at home. It'll be good up, but you make a good point The Oscars are such a bubble that it's like we got all this crazy shit going on and the worst thing in the world for them is Timothy She'll me not liking ballet. Yeah, and I saw someone say like they voted before he said that stuff so he wouldn't have lost anyway But okay, he's a young guy. Oh, he'll win his Oscar Wow is that her Man, I'm a boomer. All right. Well, I'll rub one out to this later because I like the outfit I've heard this song old Dion Warwick song, okay, I hate her already, but I like her I like the first part. I like the part before she came in. Yeah, cool. Facility doja I'm more of a bodega cat guy, but I like that she retracted good for her You don't see that anymore. Everyone's so worked up. I mean, I know I think you know what part of me is like they need with all this horrible shit going on They need a small thing to be mad at of course. It's like when Trump first got elected and everyone was just going after like every guy Right, but we can't take him out right we could take down Kevin Spacey great point great point. Yeah, so it's like having like a not comparing Which I only did to Spacey either, but I'm just comparing like okay This is a target we can hit for a minute Sam Harris calls it the near enemy you go after the near and Near enemy's easier. Yes, and the big big guy. Yeah, I'm not just the Middle East and the near enemies a little more complicated That's true. Yeah, but we have killed the big guy over there a few times They keep bringing new I told you this is like a this is like a really dark sign felled right here. Yeah, the big guy got killed Cramer comes in who you're not gonna leave what happened I told us I told us a funny word Supreme leader Gary the guy I told him the guy I told a guy at all I love the guy at all. He's gonna throw himself off his own roof Somebody in a funny tweet about the he's gonna go to have it and see all the virgins. He's like they're all women I know that was a good one. I was like, damn. How do we miss that one? That's a good one. Mm-hmm Wait, you said something about the Oscars. Shella, man. I lost it. Damn it. Oh god. I didn't want the Oscar too. Oh shit No shirt. Oh That was a loaded category. I feel like everyone was good in that one. Yeah, cuz I if that went to like Stellen Scars guard He was great. Benishi was great. Great. Don't worry. Lindo was great. They were all great. Yeah. I love Delroy He's always good. I'm always gonna say One battle I won but I love that the right and the left both hate one battle They both found a way to hate it. I'm like that's a movie. That's where you that's where you want to be at I love PCM remove the politics. It's just well-made. It's well-made. It's really not it. It's just a fun movie The acting's amazing the characters are funny. It's not his best movie, but you never win for your You never do right like the departed's great. It's not Scorsese's best. Of course not even top five, but Yeah, probably not, but it's close. It is a fun movie for rewatchable. Yes, that's true But it's not it's like in terms of like art is top five probably Well Bill Mars at a whole random Oscar is so wrong, and it was pretty good about how they keep getting it wrong with the movie It's like departed. He had a bunch of other examples of people who got it for this, but not that like what did the Capitol get it for? The Revenant. Wow Revenant was good. It was good, but it's not his best. I think he's better in like the aviator Yeah, aviator is better in a wolf or wall street and maybe even a Gilbert grape Maybe from once upon a time in Hollywood. I also just found out that every time a director Movies. Mm-hmm every time a director won their best first best director award Like Scorsese like no one. What's that? Nolan and Tarantino is old to caprio, right? Yes, they had to caprio as their lead. Oh That's like being a championship team and not getting finals MVP, but it's like, but you're clearly a big party. There you go, you know Wait, what did Tarantino win For Hollywood. Yeah, that was a good one best pick. I think so. No way. I think I think we're talking about best director Oh, okay. Wow. Good for him. It might have been it might have one best pick No, look at I feel like these days are kind of given it to the same Best pick because if it's the best pick, it probably had the best director, right? Yeah Well sadly train dreams didn't have enough uh, did you read the um the requirements to win an Oscar? No, it's pretty wild Our movies fucked what we're not winning Oscar. I mean, we weren't very much, but it's crazy like you got to have a disability in a in a main role or whatever Oh, it's crazy. I'll walk with a limp. Yeah, there you go Just limp it around everywhere like why am I just let me cook I'm in a wheelchair Oh, they get flight on the shelves - Yeah, more whiskey. (laughing) - Oh my god. - Yeah, we'll give everybody the movie a list, but you gotta have like a gay guy and a person, whatever it is, a marginalized group. It's crazy. - We should make a movie where we just hit everyone. - Oh, that's what fucking you at a nowhere. - And then we're not gay. - No, no. - We're just like, no, we just gotta hit every apartment. - Pacific Islander, I mean, this is hard to cast. - This isn't real. - No, this isn't real. - This is real Oscar website. - But you have to, so all these movies had this? - You have to, no, no. - To win. - To win. - To win. - To be nominated for Best Picture. - So what about a movie like Castaway? Didn't that get nominated? - We're talking, this is like the last four years. - Oh, let's get this in the last three or four years. - That's why. - That's just one thing you have to do. - You can't fucking art. - What are you doing? This is what's gonna happen is, people are gonna make another studio. - 100% should have LGBT. - 30% of the actor. - That would be, what if you just made a movie where like all the extras are gay? - Oh, that's not bad. - And you're just hanging out and they're just all behind. You like clearly get, you're just go to a gay bar. You're fucking hanging out here. - Everyone's in full leather and chips. - Creative leadership needs to be women, racial, ethnic groups, LGBTQ. - This is so hard to do to shoehorn that all in and weave it all in. - I look diversity is great, as long as not forced. - Of course. - This is, it's just weird when you're like, you have to like get out of fucking clipboard to do it. - Exactly. - That's when it gets a little weird to me. - You have to have a spreadsheet of all the, the right races and stuff and it gets weirdly racist. You're like, oh, we got a, she's not black or she's not brown, whatever. And then you put one in because you want to, with an Oscar, it's all strange. - Diversity mandates are weird. Like it's weird when it just happens, but. - Well, we all love, you know, menace to society, Friday, you know, boys in the hood, but you weren't like. - Payton full, I dug it. - Yeah, it's great. - That was a fun one. Just watch that one recently. Not a lot of Asians and boys in the hood, you know? We can do this all day, you know? But it's just. - There's someone menace to society. - That's true, that's true. (laughing) - That's true. But I'm just saying, like, it's weird to, you write a movie, it's brilliant, but then you have to go back and- - Yeah, it won't be our problem. Someone else will, if we make another movie and we're going for an Oscar, we'll get someone else to do it. Like you do the clipboard shit. - Yeah, but are you familiar with Thomas Edison? He started a movie place in Edison, New Jersey. He had all these rules, 'cause it was his invention. So he's like, you got to make a movie like this, and people said, fuck that. And a bunch of Jews went to California and they started their own studios and that's Hollywood. So I'll just say, if you implement these rules- - Is that true? - Yes, that's true. - That's wild. - You implement the rules. Someone's going to go, "Fuck it, I'm going over here now," and then that's going to blow up. 'Cause anytime you put rules on heart- - Look out for the daily wire Oscars in a few years. - Oh, that's coming. - Kid Rock, hosting that shit. Also to add on to that thing. They started shooting outdoors more. And in Edison, New Jersey can only do it like seven months out of the year, and anyway, it's 12 months out of the year. So that's why it became me. - You bummed me out that you can't shoot shouldn't like New York or California anymore real. They just made it so hard. - Yeah, it's too expensive. - We talked about this a lot with, I think. Yeah. - It makes movies. - You gotta get creative. Gotta go to Vancouver and shit like that. - Yeah. - They say Santino said he flew to Croatia. It was actually cheaper. - He did something in Budapest, too. - Budapest, that was it. It was cheaper to fly the whole crew out there than to shoot in California. - Well, that's what we're looking at right now. Sean, is it Jim Broney? - That's the right way where I go gambling. - Gambroney. - Interesting. - But Jim Broney is like the Italian way. - Sure. - Nice. - Python. - Yeah, see? - All right. - And you're dressed like an Italian too. - Yeah, I'm ready to play a peanut art. - No, a scope art or something. - Yeah, this is like one of the underlings in the soprano scum fight, right? - Yeah, right. - I could kill these here earlier, something. - Yeah, you could hook up with meadow. Back in the early years. - She wasn't too shabby. - The movie looks really good, man. It looks funny, man. - Thanks a lot. - I watched a trailer. I can't wait to see this. It looks like a throwback. - Yeah, sure. - Pizza movie on Hulu, April 3rd. - Check it out. - Yeah, it's just a trip. - You guys took it to Sundance. - No, no, south by Southwest. - South by, sorry. - No, hey, but it was, yeah, it was a lot of fun. Cool to do that. - Did you get caught up in that airport nonsense? - No, I just kept seeing in Austin. It was like lying back to the parking lot 'cause TSA is out of the loop or whatever. - Oh, man, I was hearing about it, but no, I think that happened after we left 'cause we were kind of like an early-- - Oh, okay. - And then, but that's crazy. I didn't even see the pictures. - Oh, it's wild. So that's a whole other topic, but yeah. Do you know that you mentioned Doja Cat when you came in here? Do you know her stuff? - Well, yeah, I'm a fan and I think she comes from the same, I think she comes from Woodland Hills or something. That's what I'm at right now. - LA, yeah, got it. - So, I don't know, but what were you saying? - Well, we were saying she trashed Shalamet and then felt bad and retracted it, which I thought was cool. But I don't know her music at all, but I am. - Cool move. - Cool move, I think it's kind of unprecedented and I hope there's more of it. - Yeah. - No one ever says I was wrong. I screwed up anymore. It's just like gum blazing. - I've certainly never dated someone who said that. - Yeah, exactly. - Exactly. - But you were on the Goldbergs, what, 10 seasons? - Yeah. - That's wild. - Yeah. - That is like, so how old were you when you started that show? - I was 13 the first episode and then 23 or something in the last. - Oh, wow. The chest air is coming beautiful. - I know, this is quite the revealing top. - I like it. - You're lucky you're a handsome adult 'cause some of those kids starting those shows and they turn in a weird look in adults. - Oh, I appreciate it. - Haley Jolodic got screwed. - Oh, hey, hey. - I like Haley. - He's a good actor. - He's a great actor, but he plays a lot of pedophiles. I've noticed. (laughing) - It's weird to be famous for a kid and then you play a pedophile. - Oh, that's true. - Oh, it's a good point. - Yeah. - Oh man, George Segal, you work with George Segal. - Segal, amazing guy, legend. - Yeah, legend and like the first day we were like filming outside of a hooders and it was just me and him talking and he made it seem like I was like his peer even though he's this legend guy, like top tier. - Classic guy. - Yeah, big time. - He did a lot of grimey Jews in the '70s and I'm a Jew, so I was always appreciated that Jews didn't have to be the stereotype when like him and Elliot Gould, like California Split, that's one of the best, best like time. It's like one of the best gambling movies ever. - Yeah, I think. - Did you ever share any old Hollywood stories with you? - Yeah, there was like one about Kerry Grant that he would talk about. - Wow. - Like that they went to like a hypnotist, like it was like a thing and then they brought Kerry Grant's like girlfriend up and it like met you. - Oh, yeah. - Oh, is he gay? - Oh, is he gay? - I think they said he swung both ways. I think he admitted in his book, didn't he? - I know rock Hudson was gay. - Yeah. - I didn't know what Kerry Grant was but. - I think he was, I think he was by. - Oh, there you go. - We're here. - Oh, look at that guy. - Well, those guys, those mobsters in the 40s, like Mickey Cone and all those gangsters would, they would get all the women on tape doing messed up stuff and blackmail them and they would, and he was a guy they got on tape doing stuff. - Oh, whoa. - So I think that was how the mob would get, they wanted to be a part of Hollywood so badly with Bugsie and stuff. So I think they really would extort these people. - And after they, they both got married to women, they moved in. to move next door to each other and share sort of a house. - Oh, smart move. - Oh, sorry, I interrupted your story, sorry. - No, heck, I didn't know that. That's really cool. - Yeah. - Interesting. - So what did he hypnotize him for? - It was just like a theater, like a stage show thing. And I think the hypnotist made her reveal something about like her underwear or something like that. And then she got like flustered and ran off or something and carry Grant laughed at it or something. And I don't know, I don't remember the specific. - Also, carry Grant said like don't keep carry Grant waiting or something. (laughing) - He's a diva. - But man, how great to be gay and just live next to your lover. - The gay guys are so rational. They're like, I don't want to sleep in bed with you, but I want to live next to you. You have your house on my house, it's gonna be heaven. - Yeah, but he was living alive probably. - So maybe he like women too, I don't know, I mean. - Carry Grant's like all-time great. - He's almost like young people don't know how great he is. It's like, dude, he was doing comedy. He was doing like, what's the one he did? The slapstick one and the 40s. - Good girl Friday. - No, his girlfriend is amazing, but I was thinking of arsenic and old lace. - Oh, that's a good one. - How old are you? - 25. - Oh, but he knows his movies. His girlfriend is great, right? - That's a classic. - He's like the precursor of her Clooney, these debonair, handsome, cool Philadelphia story. - Yeah, yeah. - But then he would do stuff like, you know, notorious to catch a thief, he was so good. - Oh yeah. - Wow, how do you know? Everybody 26 is clueless on anything before 1998. - Well, well, you know, my grandma, I live with my, my nona and she's a hundred. - Wow. - And she loves old movies and stuff. And then my dad's on the older side too. I shouldn't say that for my, my paps, I don't know. But he's like, he likes kind of all those things too. So like Karen grants one of his favorites and, - I love it. - I love you actually soaking up too. - Yeah, I feel like not every kid cares. I got, yeah. I'll go on dates with him and they're like nothing, nothing like old. I'm like, all right. And then I'll form a movie from the 90s. She's like, that's old. I'm like, oh, it's crazy. - What the hell? - Yeah. - You both watched the old movies then? - I love it. - Yeah. - So we grew up when you had to just, whatever was on, it was on. - Sure. - You know, so you couldn't force anything. And you had to watch like a F-troop or something. And I watched it happily, Mr. Ed. I watched all that shit. - I just like a good script. And like, to me, if something holds up 100 years later, like a movie's 80 years old and this holds up, that's insane to me. You know, so yeah, if it's a classic, I watch just because I'm curious, you know. I saw Jim Norton at the cell of the other night. He's like, watch a cane mutiny with Bogart and Fred McReary. And I was like, all right. And I was like, this pretty damn cool. - Yeah. - What's your opinion though if they like recreated now or stuff like? - It can be like a, what's that movie? The War movie. - On the waterfront. - No. - On the western front, I mean. - No. - The waterfront is not a War movie. Sorry about that. - It just came out. Shit, it was on Netflix. It was great. It was a remake of the old. - Oh, I know what you're, I, cool. On the western front or whatever. - I'll cry it on the western front. - Yes, that's it. That's it. - I didn't see that. - Great. I think the remake is way better than the old one. So, check that out. - What, what are some of your favorite old ones? - Oh, I like George's "Where's Papa"? - Gee. - I gotta see that. I heard it's amazing. - That's a great movie. - All right, that's put that on the rec list for sure. We got to watch that. I heard this is a great movie. - Being there? - Oh, being there is amazing. - That was a huge blast. - Oh my classic. - Listen to this kid. This is amazing. - I know you've blown my mind. - Well, also the Goldbergs too, like with that, like the '80s talk, and then with George around, they bring up stuff, so then you want to be in the nose, you can talk about it some of that. - What's being tough? He's trying to date a lady. Imagine you, you're like, yeah, you want to watch the beauty of the battle, and you're like, what the hell are you talking about kid? - I'm muting on the, I'm outta here. - Yeah. - So, how'd you get the role? Did you audition? Like, how'd you get in the Goldbergs? - What was the process? - Well, for Goldbergs, I, yeah, auditioned, but it was weird, 'cause they were filming on the Monday, and I was auditioning on the Wednesday, Thursday, Friday. So they just really needed someone, and it just, 'cause they wanted to film. So I auditioned less than some of the other members because they were kind of desperate. But I went in in person, and I said, I was on a business trip, but because I looked like that, the producer was like, that's funny, and I like that, and I don't. (laughing) So, so then I auditioned for it, got the call back, and then filmed it, filmed the pilot. But I was actually just in town filming, recording for a Cartoon Network show. I was on a business trip. - Oh, cool. - Got co-clarance? - Oh. - Oh my God, you're a clarance? - I was a square head guy. - No way! - Well, yeah! - My kid loves you. - Please don't. - He doesn't have a kid. - Get in there. - Get in here, get in here. - We started without you. - So sorry. Hey, good to have you guys. All right, you finally together. (laughing) - Nice, right? - So we got our second guest. We're talking old movies right now. - Oh, that's a great topic. - Yeah, well, give us an old movie, you love. - There's an old movie that I love. - Yeah. - Well, what causes, I feel like I'm gonna age myself. - Go before 1990. - Before 1990? - We're talking old here. Well, how old are you? - I'm 23. - Oh, okay, okay. - But I feel like he's an old soul, too. - Yeah, I can see that. - I think a little bit. - Yeah. - The Empire Strikes Back is-- - All right. - All right, that's a 1982. - Classic. - Yeah, some like that. - 1981? - 80, it says. - 80? - Oh, that's good. - That's a perfect movie, I think it's-- - I'd say the best of the series. - Definitely best of the series. - We've entered the shit sometimes though. - Ah, get out of here. (laughing) - Yeah, it's an alpha. - We've got a lot of-- - I like that that's become-- I like that the prequels are getting a little bit of love, but I think the pendulum is swung to an unreasonable amount of love. I don't know if you've been on in the Star Wars realm. - I have not. - I recommend a dive into it. - What's the one where they all die in the movie? - Yeah, yeah. - Which one is that? - Which one is that? - That was good. (laughing) - Well, he likes the dark one too. - Yeah, it's great. - I like a dark ending, but they all sacrifice himself. - But that's the thing is that, ultimately, but we know what it leads to, so it's such a one. It's such a good payoff there. - That was a cool one. The other ones that-- - The other ones were fine. I didn't dislike. You hear the music in a party. It was like, "All right, I'm in." (laughing) - But that one was of the new ones to me, the coolest. - I think people need to just take a deep breath. - Of course. - And it's going to be okay. - Agreed. - As far as like this disappointing is they can be. - These guys got, they got to watch their mouth because these guys could be in the Star Wars. - That's true. - Oh, crud, that's true. - No one's like, "We need Mark and Sam." - No one's like, "I'm already in the movie." - And the new Disney movie. - I really think it's a Jedi. - No, a LEGO Jedi. - LEGO Jedi. - Oh my god. - Oh my god. - That's gonna go. - It totally counts. - It means that I can probably say things without having too much. - Is that, wait, is that one out yet? - Yeah, the show's over. - Okay. - It's LEGO Star Wars. - I guess so. - It's a LEGO Star Wars TV show. That has two seasons. - Wow, that's double nerd. - That's a LEGO Star Wars, that's impressive. - Rebuild, there it is, baby. - Wow. - That's me. - Look at that. - Yeah, orange lightsaber. Which things. - Whoa! - So you're in the Star Wars universe. - This is incredible. - I am technically in the Star Wars universe. I think very loosely you could say. - That is why. - Is that help or hurt the ladies? - Mark, man, that's what it is, hey, I don't know. - It depends on the lady, I guess. - Yeah, my girlfriend giggles at it. Does that mean much? - That's good. - That's not giggles something. - Yeah, that's good. - Unless you pull your pants out. (laughing) - I don't know what a giggle is. - Sure, sure, sure. Yeah, it definitely got like a, it's my, whoa, weird picture of me. That's interesting. - I don't know, you look kinda hot. - Oh, thanks. - Yeah, look at her hair. - Yeah, look at that, I've got arms crossed. - Gee, that's a tummy walk right there. - Yeah, that's tough. - Hi, yeah, man. - I'm not stuck. - Look like you're the host of "Hell's Kitchen" or something, man. (laughing) - That's wild. - Don't cross me, dude. - Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. - That souffle better not be underdone. - Yeah, yeah, yeah, for sure. - That's "Hell's Kitchen" at. (laughing) - So you guys, you guys, it's interesting. You're both on hit shows as kids, that's kind of wild. - Yeah, it's bizarre. - I'd say. - What is it like to have a lot of money when you're like 23? - What do you spend money on when you're that young? - Hookers and blow? (laughing) - It's just an accelerated process of what I think most people would do later in life. - So you moved down to Florida? - Yeah, right. - Yeah, I live in Fort Lauderdale now, like golf. - Yeah, I was learning golf too. - You golf? - Well, I was with a bit. - Do you really golf? - Well, I was spending time doing it, but I'm not good at it. - But, but, come on. - Yeah, a little bit about it. - Like just driving a ranger, you go almost high. - No, I was going, I was driving, yeah. - Yeah, yeah, but. - That's exciting. - It's like, what's a friend of mine, and then, but I hit like, the time I went without my friend, I hit six balls into the lake, I stopped for a year. - A year? - A year? - That's too much. - You got to get back on the horse. - What's the weirdest thing that you guys have spent, like the crazy thing you spend money on at a young age? - Good question. - It's actually a really good question. - I, yeah, this is lame. - Can't wait. - I want to know this thing. - It's not really, it's like really realistic. This is another Star Wars reference. - Oh boy. - Really realistic, like, stunt light savers. - Huh? - That's kind of cool, actually. - Yeah. - Like the originals? - Are they like a model, like the originals? They look like the originals, they're like really like active, but there's also ones that I like had custom designed. - Whoa! - Which are kind of, that was definitely a dumb splurge. - It'd be so cool if they actually worked as a weapon. - Oh, someone intrudes. You just take one of those out to like, what the hell? - These look like crazy dildos. (all laughing) - It's the airport, like, oh man. - Oh my god, dude. - Yeah, just insane vibrators. - Are those, do those go for a lot? Those things? - Yeah, they look pretty hardcore. - There are a couple hundred bucks. - Oh, all right, that's not bad. - We're talking, you know, a car or a- - I'm sure, sure, sure. - Jack. - I did buy a car, I bought a car when it was 17. - 17? - Yeah. (all laughing) - Are we talking Centra? - No, I got a, I got a Subaru forest review. - Oh, I knew you were a lesbian. (all laughing) - It did accelerate. - Holy, that is a 60 year old person's car. - Jack, I think I really, yeah, I just like aged, like very happy. - I think my mom drives a Subaru. - Yeah, you guys are so mature. - You know what's crazy, I've had it this whole time and never ever had an issue, not once. - That's a good car. - We go. - That's great. - And that's why I love that thing. - Yeah, no one dies speeding in a Subaru. - No. - No. - Have you seen any time, like, I look at cars at all, the first thing I look up is the crash test. - Oh, man, you guys are like- - You got it. - Man. - It's fun. Like, it's kind of like- - You're old souls, I knew it. - You're way more mature than us. - Yeah, look at this. - Oh my God. - I looked at these videos, like, when I was first looking to purchase this vehicle. - Man, you should be watching porn. (all laughing) - That is fun. - You're like, you're in my free time. - Yeah. - This will be a great job. Having me and the guy who says- - Me and the guy in the car? - No. (all laughing) - That's Paul Walker. - You just drive with Caitlin Jenner, you'll be in that car. - All right, sorry. - You don't even have a car? - Caitlin Jenner killed someone in the car. - Oh, she's a car. - She did not know that. - Yeah. - Yeah, that was amazing. - It was a pleasure. - It was a pleasure. - It was a pleasure. (all laughing) - Like, well, that's really sad, actually. (all laughing) - No, that's the- - I saw her at the golf course. - Oh, yeah. - Yeah. - Wow. - I bet she's good. I mean, real athlete. - I saw her in the parking lot. - That's pretty well. - For my high. - My parents did. - There you go. - Look at her. - Look at that. - Great athlete. - Wow. Hey, you are so fast with that. That's crazy. (all laughing) The first thing he says, Caitlin Jenner golfing. And like, - Wow. - Once and two seconds in there. - All right, now pull up the car crash. (all laughing) - They say women can't drive as far as the boobs get in the way. - Oh. - It's a bad show. - They're gonna say you can say women can't drive. - Oh. - You were offensive. - I mean, it's our technically. (all laughing) - Right? - She did get worse. - This thing got worse. - But. - Wow. - Yeah, Caitlin. Yeah, big athlete. Good athlete. - There you go. - Who's the person who's hit you guys up? Who's like the most shocking? Who like, you're really shocked that's a fan of you guys. - Ooh. - 'Cause I bet you get hit up by so many random people. - I don't care. - Kevin Spacey. - Oh, look at that. That was at the game the other night. - Look at that. - Look at that. - Look at that. - I'm looking behind you. - Look at that pedo in the back. (all laughing) - Look at that. - I am peeking. (all laughing) - What sauce was the camera? Look at that. - Look at the camera. - Where are you looking at me? - That's a good question. - I don't know. We'll get to the bottom of this. I don't know a new forensic file. - Yeah. - That's good. - Oh, that's insane. - Oh wow. - I was told circulated. - That R is for registered lots. - Yeah. - Sex offenders. - Yeah, right. - Okay. - Okay. - All right. - All right. - That was very good. - Yeah. - Who's someone to hit you up that you were like, this is pretty wild? - I don't even, I don't, I don't know. - I'm sure you don't check. - Don't look. - I won't look. - It's gonna be some real creeps out there. - I get some real creeps. - They're good, these are real creeps. - Yeah. - What's this? - You're gonna be on a milk cart. - Who are these two? - We went on a carry grant, Jack, for you. - Who was that next to him? - That's his friend, Parker. - What brought up carry grant? - This guy. - He's a carry grant fan. - Big carry grant fan. - I'm a carry grant fan. - Oh, very good. - George Siegel told him a carry grant story. So that's where it came from. - That's pretty good. - I'm gonna have to hear it. - Yeah. (all laughing) - But it let us down to carry grant trail. - Yeah, we go good. - That's a good, that's a good question. - It was so well raised. I'm very impressed. - Will you message me once, I think. - Who did? - Will Lucey Vert. - I think. - Oh, yeah. - That's very great. Didn't see that would come. - No, I didn't either. - Good one. - So that was, yeah, that was one. But the thing is, is that I had the situation, well now it'll be known where I didn't respond 'cause I do not check my, I'm not even logged into my account on my phone. - Smart. - I don't enjoy, I don't enjoy the rabbit holes. - Good for you. - One me. - I think my manager texted me. She's like, you know, Lucey Vert, message you. Like a while ago, like a long, long time ago. I was like, well, it's too late for me to respond now. - Yeah. - Your manager's cat fishing some people. (all laughing) - Some people message me, like, yeah, totally meet you in a parking lot. (all laughing) - That could easily happen. But that was cool. Hello, by the way. - Thank you. - I think you respond back. - He's my response. - He's having very late response. - So who got you off social media? 'Cause I think that's a smart move. And I think the younger generation is now pulling away from it. I think Millennials got screwed a little. - I just realized it was just not fun to do on a daily basis. - Good for you. - It was kind of, yeah, I don't know. - Well, you guys were getting ridden about it probably an unhealthy level, especially at that young age. I can't even imagine that. - Yeah, it's just a little bit of an adjustment, I think. - Yeah. - It was like a comment that said, like, he sounds like, or I forget what he looks like a 14-year-old boy, but he is the arm hair of a 30-year-old man. (all laughing) And that one got me. I was like, "Oh, that hurt your feelings." - That's nothing. - I know that was right. - You got over it, look at you wearing a tank top. - No, this is, I was wearing a coat zip top, but I walked in. - No, it looks all right, dude. - But that looks like a borderline compliment. - Yeah, it makes you think about it. It makes you think about it. - You're in the next teen wool. I'm calling her right now. - Babyface. - Yeah. - The body of the man. (all laughing) - There you go. - Yeah, that's a question. - You're top of the world. - So I got a quick question. What do you think fucked up child stars the most? How do they live in their path? - Uh-oh. - Yeah, 'cause you guys have stayed on paths. - That's so subjective, but probably their environment and the people that are surrounded by them. Parents. - You had Nickelodeon. - Yeah, tough. - You should have done a better job, Nickelodeon. - Yeah. - Yeah, tough job. - For sure. It was bad, yeah, for sure. People, it's kind of like a weird situation where when you are put into a position like that very young, it can gravitate the wrong kinds of people who want to take advantage of that, not just of you, but of what you do and what you make. - Wasn't there a new story of a woman hitting on you or something? - Oh yeah, sure. - Pull it up. (all laughing) - At least I got an older lady. - Sure, yeah, I remember that. - Yeah. - I just said it in passing now and everyone was like, and then it kind of just, that's how it goes. - Yeah, yeah. - It's like a weird little thing in passing. - So it wasn't that bad. - It was not even close to being that bad. I mean, what she said was inappropriate, but it was more of like, nah, I was a little weird and I went on with my dad. - You were super young when she said it, though, right? - I was, it was in reference to when I was young, but I wasn't very young while it happened. - But your show was so big. - What she had said was that she had had a crush on me since I was 13. - Oh, all right. - That's the thing to say. - Yeah, but she's in the 40s. - That's not good. - That's not good. - Yeah. I mean, that's who a woman is, that's not good. - Yeah, that's bad. But a lady, that's a female privilege. A lady can get away with that. A little more than a guy. - Well, after I said the story, people were pretty bummed about it. - Sure. - I think it's a good sign. - Yeah. - I don't think anybody was like, rap. - Nah. - That's awesome for both of you. - Right, yeah, 13 is wild. - That was, but thankfully I wasn't actually, will be 13 when she told me right that helps that helps that was an adult when she said this yeah she didn't hit you on the same game with the string yeah wow who is the lady or just a random this is just somebody that I had met oh okay I'm gonna do it approached and said hello well I mean you're gonna hit a lot of weirdos with your that strangers who just gigantic so you're gonna hit all kinds of sometimes sometimes it's just fun now yeah sometimes those interactions are just fun stories later I agree kind of like that one which is good because some I think in a lot of the people in other positions they it's not just fun stories it's like actually uncomfortable oh yeah I don't know I feel like I'm like yeah at whatever yeah people usually tame on my end yeah my friends I've heard the craziest things in the world oh let's see or just like really pervy stuff yeah just yeah this is people hearing the most insane hypersexual things of like two their faces and like what do you think of this yeah yeah I don't get that I don't get that that's the response that most of them would probably feel like I didn't have a question because I'm a pita on your arms or hairy so that's true that is a yeah it's a deterrent or a pen or a pen or a pen like love your face but the hair yeah but when we were filming know what like Dayton was getting recognized like everywhere we went but it was it was cool because he keeps it really casual and like it makes it feel just like I don't know it's really cool and that like once an ice cream shop and like all the people that work there circle through to see like what do you see him and like does that was they were nice no one was awesome they just gave us ice cream yeah yeah it's amazing it's over time it's hit or miss yeah he's really cool but he's like what is this here oh this is a fake breast that was that was we've sent to us by by books out for yeah a trade parker's wife I think sent this is breast right yeah so all right finally this is like a jellyfish yeah exactly feels just never had the opportunity you got one over there man we brought one for each yeah this is like open you get to leave with something you're gonna do you're gonna do yeah thank you so much for this I appreciate this movie this implant this movie was Britannic the sketch group right yeah the writing group they're great yeah they've got yeah they're they're really well respected those guys they're really good group of dudes and very very funny very cool to work with and it doesn't it didn't feel on set like a feature debut felt like they were old pros which is really really cool and this looks like an old school type of comedy we were talking with Mark and I hopefully filming one this summer we're in the process oh cool but we we're talking about old school types of comedies that they don't make any more there's like the drug comedy you got Sarah Sherman in there from SNL yeah and Daniel Radcliffe is a butterfly Bobby Moyan butterfly Bobby Moyan plays Snack a Tron damn somebody pretty people this is yeah good group of people I am I was floored when Daniel said yes to doing the butterfly who approached Daniel Radcliffe I think when Nick and Brian yeah approached initially about him playing a cameo part that's in the movie that is no longer that is just not Daniel Radcliffe yeah there's no longer of that type of cameo it's not a celebrity cameo and he was like it was so short notice I think he was probably pretty down to do it but it was in Syracuse and it was only two day like he's like he's like it's in Syracuse make it voice over I'm not going to Syracuse I'm not going I'd rather shoot and take around so yeah and so he's like no to that and then weirdly enough I was like they had another part come up to play the butterfly but he's like let's not lay on to think I didn't want a bathroom yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah I read some article where he's like I'm dying to do any I think you played a white supremacist and something yes and now he's a butterfly undercover you played an FBI agent undercover in a white supremacy that's it that's it that's it so he's trying to break out really cool it's a good move really cool good for life on Harry Potter just enjoy yourself and do yeah it's really fun that was it it's a great movie he was really goodness it's kind of terrifying a lot of his my that guns a Kimbo yeah yeah we just got so many guys he woke up and his either they were sewn or like his he's I'm not an actor but I just wouldn't want this photo out there exactly that's top I mean that's J6 right there yeah arm that's a hell it's part of the trade off yeah so when I'm getting jacked for what I'm gonna play a white supremacist someone with cool you know yeah have shaved my head for the role yeah it's like Leo and Django there's so many Edwards I'm like those are just out there man just say it they're in there just out of context he's just like floating yeah but boy what is it is a comic he's a black guy and he said you know we give Leo credit because you someone's got to play that role right right and because we need those movies and he nailed it you know yeah he's incredibly incredible in that movie he's incredible he's who's someone you guys want to work with like who's an actor you would love to be in a movie with oh what a great question well Daniel Radcliffe there you go but there's more there's more what about a director you think it's Scorsese you want to do Tarantino you want to do in that outfit do you think it's Scorsese yeah let's go I'm holding the empathy yeah that's gonna be the funniest picture in the world this movie has made you do the craziest things in the world I our favorite thing was to getting him to say the most vile like in context with the character of course not just like because he's a more straight edge friend right for sure and I would say that that would be in the movie for sure that's definitely uh it seems like my my character throughout their relationship has done his his his bets to turn him into a vile creature of a nice yeah which has been a fun development of us trying to do the same thing you want to say there's plenty of outtakes of him saying just do you throw him in the credits do you know I don't think so that'll that'll be on youtube yeah the sea world whoa you see where's in this movie that's no good well we gotta take context of it all right there's a there's a there's a segway it wasn't a poem it's not beautiful it's not a birthday god nice I would say a pretty a tasteful transition into it all right hear us out please you got like a real kids stuck in a well vibe these to me oh extra extra read all about it thanks kids here's a nickel I like this energy is a buddy comedy though I think this works yeah what you know it's like did you like did you watch some of the great coming of age movies together this like super bad and and what are some of what are your faves there were a ton of references that they gave us that's right first hurt right because I did the table read for it and they told me like yeah it's kind of a super bad feel and yeah but I don't know well even like license to drive or some of those oh yeah of course of course oh it's right I actually've never seen that it was both course yeah they were a great duo yeah I never saw this the one the reference I have as a this poster was up on my teacher's wall amongst other eighties movies wow check the hard drive early on yeah check that teacher's hard drive no no no you have department yeah well court fell he's like he's a cook now but man and that guy was a great actor he's great actor super talented does stand by me and uh goonies he's great oh man goonies that's epic though a lot of his stuff is what they told me to watch when starting stranger things and stuff because he was in all those classics and so much of the show was in reference to those and that kind of became a conversation topic throughout the the decade of working on it of what were the homework movies yeah well and all of his were all on the list for everything he was mainstream hits yeah look at that lost boys he's great in the burbs he's a little older in that one saw the bird oh it's great great silly comedy with Tom Hanks and now there's a show they're making a show yeah they're making a show it's all yeah all yeah yeah that's the way kiki Palmer yes oh I saw that I didn't know it's based on that very cool who's an actress you want to work with oh yeah we're definitely being the running for that yeah all right absolutely hysterical we're talking love seeing them it actually is my dream I I to do like a really funny like gone wrong type is that right the amount of auditions I've had of like do you're going to play the guy that's about to have sex and then I always get in for those those are interesting no one's to watch it's good but I think I'm like anytime we're trying to story on stage so anytime we're doing a story in stage and I'm telling a story and it's like a cool sex story I'm like oh no I gotta leave this up oh yeah no it's gotta be I've got to prematurely ejaculate something I can't get it up something wrong has to happen those are the most I mean we talk about movies like after hours or like something while we're like things just go wrong I I love shit like that yeah that's a lot of what we got going on and I feel like that's just a little Harold and Kumar definitely what was pitched to us was very loosely because it does go into its very clear direction but aesthetically they pitched it was like if Harold and Kumar met everything ever all at once oh yeah of course like that was the holding like by the way we understand that that both of those are incredible movies and everything ever all Just one best picture like that's just like right not like we're gonna. We're gonna make the next one of that We understand that we are not You guys is the internet is everywhere and everything is so splintered now But you guys were both in mainstream shows you with stranger things you would go for both of those hit big I mean, yeah, but yeah, but 80 and 80s things Watch those movies People ask you questions about that decade non-stop. Oh, yeah, all the time Because our show really lean into like all those pop culture. Yeah, I was acting. I wasn't alive But that was for some reason it dominated most of the questions. They were so curious Yeah, about if it was weird Right. I don't think it was weird no because we didn't really have any other reference point It's a period. Yeah, it's a period. Yeah, it's nostalgic to some random songs though Like they'll come on the radio like 80s on 8 or something and then I'll be like oh man. I remember that day Until my my now ex-room made where there's the three of us he was like you got to get Spotify So you didn't have Spotify until like a few years ago I had the the free one with the ads So he kind of kept me off. You guys are responsible old man It's crazy. He's he's cutting coupons at home Come on a hit show. Well, let me be frugal. I got like yeah, you got slippers on a bathroom I love that well you guys both the shows wrapped up so now it's like you have to kind of choose your next projects Which is I'm sure you're getting hit with a lot of stuff both you I'm just doing auditioning. I'm just trying to hit you auditioning. Are you trying to do something totally different? The big yeah, the goal. I think that's when this came through was it was Weirdly enough so many of the actors in this that have worked before our known as being like either Disney kids or child actors or people who are known for kind of you know bright-eyed babyface like oh Sweet and innocent kind of mentality and they're like great. Let's throw them in the craziest kind of raunchies Comedy in a good chunk of time just to divert expectations. Love it. Really kind of fun. Yeah, I think I don't know That was intentional, but by the time the cast came through it really was a good a collective of of former child actors who seemed like they're This would be like a swing of making a jump out of it. I mean, I'm not too concerned with the image of it I think it's fun. Yeah, that's funny. It's yeah, it's it was so fun to do But I got some weird auditions though Oh, wow, there was like a lot of what are we talking like dark like Like psychopath kind of kill people for a little bit there. I got like three in a row and like With like my high school I don't want to only be a murderer And it kind of freaked me out because man, it's really pushing a dark spot like thinking about this Yeah, but yeah, we had this conversation of how amazing of a serial killer you would play. Yeah, just where you oh You as your voice and you're perfect Like the only difference is that like you have there's like three bodies in your backyard and no one knows about them But nothing else is changed. Yeah, I would love for that What are you gonna do That would be like a really intense crazy Wow, great. I would pay egregious amounts of money to see you do that Now you guys are fun that project your 20s here when I was in my 20s. I was an animal I was a that idiot. Do you guys partake in the uh the drugs or the booze or the It's tying out amongst the younger ones 100 percent. Have you heard this? Yeah, 85% down with Genzy liquor sales. Yeah We have her on whiskey too. We're screwed Yes, what is that? No, we invented in silent film Hey, we're gonna pull these terrible times. The talkies took over Oh, yeah, I don't know what it is. I think a little bit but also because there's so much To worry not worry, but just You're aware of like the public perception of it that if I have gone out I do go out. I'm not averse to it But you just have to would be understanding that phones will be out And it's gonna be a documented experience exactly which is fine I don't I don't I don't engage in things that I wouldn't mind people seeing me engage I just can't like if you're out but I can't one camera on you. Yeah. Yeah, you could ruin you Maybe this is gonna help the longevity cuz think about the 80s Yeah, like do some blood like no, there's no phone show it That's true. That's kind yeah, I'm pretty sure that's why drugs are probably so much more popular than even amongst people who aren't public figures Even amongst kids. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah The figures probably are just so hyper aware of understanding that anything they do is has the ability to be publicly documented which is I think in some ways probably a good thing Some ways I think you when it comes to certain boundaries It's very good to have the mentality of like if I make this decision Would that have Public consequences. Yeah, even if they were like that's the thing. That shouldn't be the deterrent, right? The deterrent should be this would weigh on my conscience. Right. It's a bad thing to do But I feel like with young people is like a warrior being cring Yeah, so if you get caught being cringed now it's on the internet forever and you're just viral for being it's dwee It's vulnerable to get a little a little let up Yeah, you're letting your guard down a little bit. Yeah, but that's the point of like Clubs or bars or spaces like that where it's like everybody's in an agreement like we're gonna have a good time and not really worry about that but then It's kind of like and usually there I remember if I've had a few I'm not as concerned about the cameras and the next The next day I wake up and see your video and be like ah damn yeah Well, they should in the nice. We had key parties where you'd walk into a party you put your key in a bowl So you wouldn't drive drunk. They should be phone party phone party. We just drop it in and they get all Do blow and hook up and say horrible slurs and everything Yeah, cuz it's gonna come out somewhere. You're gonna shoot up a school. Let's be honest, you know I was preparing for a role Uh There should they did you do need a way to get stuff out now. I worry that like we we had a we had vices We had a so you can blow off steam and take the edge off with a cocktail. I worry. How are you gonna get out? How are you gonna get it? The evil out Yeah, those running clubs you can probably just run it out of us. What am I honest? I can crush 20 pull-ups right now. No really. He's actually weirdly jacked. It's crazy. I can see it. He's a little stout Italian man. You're viral He doesn't he doesn't read, but it's really odd I remember like one time he went to the gym together and I was like we're probably on the same playing field here We are not on the same playing field. Yeah, it was so embarrassing. I got the pull string. You got the push string Oh, he's just right. Yeah, and and foreigner was in our beans. The foreigner was in our vans with the band. Yeah It was here a pump and it's so we're blaring it through the high school Had a little believe You're looking like shit. What have you done These are 80s experts right here. All right. Oh, we're back to To be a favorite just for my own personal enjoyment. Get a picture of him next to young Albert Brooks I think we got something here. Have you gotten that? I I think show I think it I think my All like taxi driver. Yes. Whoa the hair everything. I know you're a thinner, but yeah I like the way that he looked up that movie was a bad cliff not see And he got the result. Yeah, he found the movie. Oh, gee. Who's this? That's my real estate agent. It's my cousin Oh, no, the Sean. Oh, that is a woppy name right there. I love that Now get the get the curly hair in there Look at that guy. My name's Irish. Oh, is that right? But well the red hair makes it a little different. All right, right red name Oh, yeah, I mean that to now look at that. I don't and the hair the hair chest. Oh, I He was huge. I didn't rush. Yeah, he was a hot dude But yeah, I can Look at this guy. How about with my own picture? My hair's really big You need a photo of this guy right in the scene right now. Oh, look at my hair bigger. There you go. The glasses could be something I don't know if Brooks work. Is it is a plan to get jacked and maybe do like an action movie or something? I want to get this one of my favorite But I don't I don't have any like martial arts in me. Yeah, you do. Well, maybe see it in this movie. You've got a little Yeah, oh, yeah, there's a little bit. There's a little martial arts sequence. Yeah, that's okay. Okay, but not at all Yeah, it hits a lot of boxes. Yeah, I'm pumped to see this. Thanks. What what uh, did they send in rex and or pee? Yeah, we got pee. Oh, yeah, big He's good. I got two annoying ones. I got a couple. Yeah, what do we got? Oh, you got a lot of basic though. I think your favorite two All right, let's let's alternate. Okay, Sean. You want to go for a shot and game? Um, I got you make it a little bigger. Yes sir. No This is good. I want to see you. Is any of those stand out? I don't know. I mean, not watching sitting on a bed bill. It's like people Yeah, cuz I get pink guy easy. Oh, I think so so like those I thought these were all kind of pink guys. Someone sit there. It was like twice a year Throughout high school was like twice a year and I was like what the heck so now I'm like very Look, that's a good one. That's a good one. That's a good one. But so chair and face yeah, yeah, like that I need it catch me off guard because someone used it And then it's like a hidden like it's like a little mind there I get it or something and sitting on my pet pillow. Is this a lady you're dating? No, no, it's more my brother You're dating your brother. I don't it's my brother day You should just get rid of this need and just wash your face in the shower. No towel needed That's what I do wash your face in the shower moisturize and then and then you wipe it Yeah, that's what I do. Yeah, what are you a lady? I'm a headband I do the headband when I have to Right, right? Oh, you guys are moisturizing. I don't do this shit. I'm like I'm old We don't drink we moisturize You're gonna live to 150 over dead by 71 Yeah, what do we got over dogs and piggies out on flights with no socks piggies dogs and piggies feet Piggies go there feed out bare feet on flights. Yeah, I'm with you. It's all four planes of public transportation That's what planes are here here, and you can't like you're not having your dogs out on the bus I mean on it. I've seen that too. Yeah bus is a well-wrestled game on the greyhound. It's just whatever That's so tough especially a man's feet me Put out the gulage people walk to the bathroom bare feet. Yeah, pleasure and they're so there's no other reason Maybe a stretch I think she's crowning Yeah, all right. I'll give you a little labor sure or even if you're just pregnant feet out That is all sure, but man's feet are rudeness the servers is the ultimate good one I want to grow a couple of the girl over this. That's understanding. Yeah, we were at a bar And she was rude to a to a bartender and I was like apologize to him right now And she was like what I was like apologize that guy when he comes back I don't remember but she was just rude to him and I was like I'm yeah No, she did not but she was just rude and we we went out like a couple of times after but I I couldn't like all of it It was like two days later. I was like why did you do that? I couldn't like all of it and it's just it disintegrated I notice it with I remember like anytime is like sometimes when it's like older family members I think it's just there's like a weird older mentality of yeah, I'm paying money Right, whatever experience I want out of this and I think it's like the weirdest like power trip thing ever and it's just Feels so icky, man, I'm with you so tough. Yeah big one for me and this one's dumb and really only kind of for me Because it's really not that big of a deal But when people dress up as characters to shows like when I say shows I mean like the theater when they go and see Broadway shows Uh-huh and dress up as characters in that show is that right in the show? Yeah, what show I get it like there's a stranger thing Sean Robby people dressed up as characters. By the way, we're in stranger wings right now I saw this a couple weeks ago on a side and I was like, oh we're having a we're having a mon No, it's a bocker back pages. I'll shout him out. He makes these are great. He makes a bunch of I buy like eight shirts And I want it once from him. I love it. So this I understand if you're dressing up in characters to like a show like this But I remember I did I did you're having a Hanson on Broadway? People would dress up that must have been a downer to do every now. Oh my god. Uh, but I Would see people dressed up as Evan Hansen to the show and Like the show is about a kid who kills himself right? It seems weird that you're going in cosplay Yeah, or people would dress up as Dustin cuz I was in the show Uh-huh, so I would see people dressed up like even with the hat or Dress of in character is Dustin's to dear Evan Hanson like you did not look up what this yeah They bring your kids I remember going as the salesman to death in the sale man I just yeah, it's just something that gets me. I'm like, you just should look it up Older Bradcliffe had that just what to be a lay audience Yeah I don't know if you'll dress up as Harry Potter to the premiere of that movie. Oh, that's a big one What about Star Wars people going to see Star Wars and cost awesome. Oh, that's four. All right. All right, that's great Where's the limit though? What about like Batman going to a bad movie? That's good. That's still good I think what that is super heroes franchises Fun cherry adventure films. That's great. But then it's just like other times where dark stuff is bothering you Yeah, when I don't know. I really only see it in in Broadway shows I got to see people dressing up to like crazy Like maybe horror films is different to people dress up is like You know the horror like the slasher is in like Freddy is like a boundary or that's fine that that irks me in a weird way. I went to Ray I was blind and I Got to wrap this up because you guys I think got a full day here, but see Pete's a movie April 3rd on Hulu and Disney Plus Thanks looks awesome.
