that's one thing we're getting into today because baby i'm not for it i'm i'm really not for it like i've never really been a person that's a gatekeeper like we're gonna we're gonna get into some keep coming and keep coming and keep coming and keep coming it's just gonna keep doing it okay because it gotta get cool in his house it gotta stay cool your girl gotta stay cool to do what she doing and y'all know how these filming lights can be baby it can make it get hot up in this time so your girl came on here with no makeup okay giving all the vibes and i like it that way i really don't like to get dressed up a lot and just yeah i don't like to get dressed up for everything i don't like to just do makeup all the time on my face i feel like i can go with no makeup and yeah i just love my skin and right now my skin is skinning so i'm loving that vibe but on another note let's go ahead and get into what we're talking about the topic at hand so we are talking about gatekeeping and just it's gonna roll on and roll on and roll on and wherever we head to baby this is where we headed so i did want to come on here and talk about gatekeeping for the people that don't know what it is baby gatekeeping is when someone knows something that could possibly help you or that's beneficial to you and they don't help you or they don't tell you or they don't let you know i don't like stuff like that like i don't like that so we finna really talk about it now it's pros and cons when it comes to gatekeeping i believe so that's one thing i can't say when it comes to this but we finna go ahead and get into it y'all i'm gonna give you guys an example as i always do give y'all an examples of what it is now say for example you have a friend that lost a job lost a house and yeah they just need help or they out here trying to grind as hard as they can to get a house get a car uh they out here trying to find a new job it's just that kind of thing in your job hiring but you're not giving them the place you're not letting them know what they're doing that's pretty much what gatekeeping is like not putting somebody on game like if you feel like you can't help another person just don't even be around me baby i'm just not that type of person like i've never been that type of person to sit in somebody's face and i know some information that could possibly be beneficial to that person or that could possibly help that person i've never been one of them people and baby i don't plan on starting a day or never because one thing about it is me i have a gift in heart and i will help a stranger i will help somebody i don't know somebody i'm just having a conversation with and all it and i want to go ahead and get into this another example is when i was first coming to this my hairstylist to get my hair done like she's just moving down here from chicago and she don't really know a lot of people out here and she's building up an audience and stuff now she have a nice size audience baby she do some good hair but when we were talking at the time she didn't really have like a lot of people in the area that she just opened a shop in and so i was one of the people that took a chance to come to her and everything i didn't know that she wasn't from down here when i first booked with her and everything so as we came in there as i came to her we was like feeling the vibes out and everything like that and she was just like you know asking me things and i was telling her things and then i just started giving her information on top of information on top of information and then she was just like why you don't come out with like an ebook or teach people how to do it and i just felt like it was like i don't know it was just like it take a lot of time to do like stuff like that but you know she was like one of the people at the time that pushed me to do it like it was always something that i wanted to do like ebook or this podcast or that's talking to people and giving them information in gyms and you know just letting them know the things that i learned and how i'm you know like how i'm navigating using the information unlearning stuff that that's not helpful and relearning things the correct way and just yeah so um one thing i could say about her is like she automatically seemed that i was a person that dropped gyms so she was like you didn't came here and gave me so much information and it's my first time ever doing your hair and you know what i'm saying and it's just because like i've been there you know what i'm saying i've been a person trying to find new clients here i've been a person trying to make my brand pop and i'm still trying to do my thing even till this day i just don't feel like gatekeeping information that could possibly help the next person is going to hurt me i feel like every time i help another person i always get it back tenfold like i always get that back like god always sends me the right person at the right time and when i feel like the person not for me you know i'm saying like we already talked about it before i pray on it and let it go let it go let god and then let it be but yeah so that's that's an example like i didn't get keep no information that i knew that could possibly help her when it came to like the hair industry and what i knew as far as like building a brand of building a business because when we when i came right up in there we just automatically clicked off and just started talking about like businesses and this this and that and then she wanted to see my social networks and then she showed me hers and then we just started like comparing the two and like i started showing her how i do things and you know it's not like declining me in any way when i'm helping other people i'm helping other people and so one thing that i can say is it's a lot of people out here that are gatekeepers like they want to play this game like they all helpful and oh women empowerment and they all about uplifting the next person or they all about brotherhood and that is all about this and all about that all about helping but it is a lot of people out here that are willing to help and to put the next person on game and is willing to do these things but it's also a lot of people that are not in. i've came across a lot of people like that and some that i even had close to me for a while and so after after so long it's just like yeah let's go ahead and wrap this thing up so i want to come on this episode today to really talk about that and just open up on like how i feel about gatekeeping like i don't really like that like ain't no really i don't like it because i'm a person that's dropping gems if i know how to do something and you need me to do it i can do it we can work it out we can handle the business we can do the business we can keep professional however you want to do it but you know what i'm saying if i have something that could possibly help the next person i'm willing to do that that's just what it is with me like i feel like anybody who's been around me can vouch for that anybody who i've ever called a family member you know what i'm saying anybody who i ever looked at as a family member anybody that i called a friend anybody like any stranger they might know me now but we were strangers then and we had a conversation and i knew hey they can definitely vouch for your girl when it come to that like dropping gems it is because it's like it is what it is you know what i'm saying i'm not afraid to drop no gems and let people see what it is now i'm gonna be honest and be 100 honest i don't care about helping people especially at this point in my life like i really it doesn't matter you know what i'm saying a lot of stuff just don't be mattering to me no more but what i will say is i used to be a person that didn't like to be copied like i want to show you how to do it but i don't want you to be copying me like i used to be one of them people like i want to show you how it can get done i want to show you how i do my thing but i don't want you to come trying to act like me i don't want you to come trying to be me i don't want you to come trying to do the same thing as me like i used to be one of them people but then when i started to see like hmm your girl really got some inspiration here your girl is really an inspiring person people will be telling me like you're so inspiring you you should really be farther than what you are where you are baby godspeed godspeed okay but i get what y'all saying how your girl started really because you know your girl started sitting back like wait a minute wait a minute your girl doing her this week like this y'all telling me it's cute then you turn around doing the same thing after i just show you a video on it how to do it now you got the same her you know what i'm saying or now you got the same nails or now you got the same this and this or now you editing the same way as this and now you're doing this is to sign it, I see. know what i can't really be like i can't be mad because i understand and i mean that in the humblest way ever like i'm not being cocky or nothing but i was just like i really understand now like at first i used to be like man i'm not like people copying me and it was mainly because i remember being friends with this one person for like a long time and i remember my green shoes just be like that person is not your friend why does she got to have the same clothes as you why do y'all have to dress the same why do y'all have and i used to be like because we rest for years you know you know that little thing but as we got older we became adults and stuff like we became adults and everything and you not having no type of information i'm having i'm giving you all in game all the information on this thing and you would just be sitting back just watching how i move and you would just try to copy everything i do you know what i'm saying like you just copy literally the person with like copy every single thing that your girl did and so with that being like coming from a friend that you keeping close it kind of make you be like wait a minute like you i got this business now you want the same type of business now you want to know where i'm sourcing my products from now i'm doing content creating the influence and now you want to do it and you want to work with the same people that i'm working with or you want to do out of all these people you want to use you want to try to use the same people i'm using or just anything like that and it's okay it's totally fine because i work with a lot of people and i work with different people from all over the world and we be had we be some of us be under the same pr team or whatever like that so it's totally fine i understand it but after so long i'm opening this type of business or i'm doing this and then you turn around doing that that kind of stuff make you want to like gatekeep information because you like dang my own close friend want to be doing everything that i'm doing i mean yeah you can inspire your friends to go harder and inspire your friends to do this and do that but like it's like prime example like two friends can have a makeup brand both y'all are like die hard makeup artists y'all love makeup this isn't it y'all both come out with a makeup brand cool we both come out with a makeup brand we both got our own little thing but you literally want to come out and do this same thing and you run in the same place that i'm running and it you're gonna do the same thing that i'm doing down to the logo down to everything possible like after a while it has become like why are you like this why are you doing this you know what i'm saying and then you just start to see little shady stuff and it just be like yeah this person don't really want to see me win they want to be in competition with me so then it does make you like gatekeep and that's why i told y'all it has its pros and cons because this person is trying to do literally everything you're doing and watching how you move and they trying to get close to you and they trying to do this and do that and do this now god did say keep your enemies close and but it's just like dang i'm not looking at you like an enemy though i'm not looking at you like an enemy are you looking at me like an enemy hmm but he didn't say keep your enemies close now maybe you're looking at me like an enemy in the competition but that's the thing competition be at the bottom baby collaborations and getting together and uplifting others them the people that's at the top competition and stuff gonna have you in a hole in the pit you know what i'm saying and i know we can't all have our ways of being competitive like even when you starting like a business like you want to check out your competition like it ain't that you're really in competition with these people because you could possibly collab with these people just because y'all in the same industry like i've collabed with a lot of other brands and makeup artists and different people that do the same thing as me because it's better to collab with these people because it's better to collab with to collaborate more than like being competition with them and so with that being said it's just like this like you can collaborate with the person and it is when you coming out with a business like i said you can like sit there and check out your competition and when i say competition i'm not talking about oh i gotta go hurry up and do this i'm not saying it like that i'm saying it as you want to see what's popping out there you want to see the top people or who everybody's going to when you're trying to come into the industry or when you are in already in the field you want to see what's going on like you want to be a student you want to always be a student and learning from other people learning from their experiences and learning how you can navigate through everything like you don't want to sit here and not know what's going on within your field and not know who in your field and who one of the top sellers in your field and what are they doing that you could possibly bring to your business but you don't want to copy like why why i said it has its pros and cons is because like you want to be able to help a person but then you don't want to keep a person like you don't want to have like a family member or a friend somebody that's watching you in your business field and then all of a sudden they looking at you like a competition or they're haters like they just really close to you and they hating and they're not helping you build in no way they just take take taking so you don't that's when it comes like hey i don't even want to tell them what's going on i don't even want to tell them none you know i'm saying they're gonna have to go get it out the mood go you know that's how it be like you'd be like after a while you need to help this person do this to do that then you see that they don't have the right mindset they don't have the right intentions on why they even around you to get the business or get the information or withheld this information from you they don't even know why you thinking you you know what i'm saying you're giving them this information for good reasons and good intentions and then they're sitting here just having this information to go do some fast stuff or just go behind your back and do some shady stuff you know what i'm saying you're giving them this information for good reasons and good intentions and then they're sitting here just having this information to go do some fast stuff or just go behind your back and do some shady stuff like anything like that like i feel like that's a con when it comes to like gatekeeping like i just don't recommend like i really don't like when it comes to that your girl not for all it that just brings it all into what i'm about to talk about next so when it comes to gatekeeping and stuff i understand a lot of people be like uh you're gonna have to pay to play you're gonna have to pay to play i understand the pay-to-play system because baby i do and i get it you know what i'm saying especially with you a person that teaches something like it's like prime example a person did hair for so long now they teaching to do her i understand you don't want to give all your gems out all the time on the youtube video or you don't want to give all your gems out here here and there and because you don't want to be copied or you want to get paid for your work whatever or you want to use that as another income stream you just want to make some money from it i understand that part so yeah you i understand that part so yeah you do have to pay to play when it comes to some stuff but when it comes to you not even hosting no class you ain't got no ebook you ain't got no whatever you just hanging around people that's watching that ship sink it's just like i say like you are only as successful as as many bosses or successful people around you so if you're the only successful person and everybody else around you broke or everybody around you sinking to the bottom and you just rising to the top you're gonna have a bunch of people that's gonna be looking at you crazy you gonna have a bunch of people that's gonna be looking at you crazy you ain't got they ain't got no money you ain't you up here with all this money and you ain't putting nobody else on like that's what i mean when it comes to gatekeeping that kind of stuff i just don't recommend like why is everybody else around you broken you the only one with the money or you're the only one with all the plays and having all the motion but you ain't putting all your people on like it don't make no sense like we got to make it make sense and that's where i feel like the gatekeeping comes into play like you can't be sitting here gatekeeping all this information from your right hand person or your best friend and all of that like y'all don't have to do the same thing or y'all could do or y'all could do the same thing but y'all don't necessarily have to but i feel like if you know some information that could possibly help them help them period like what bad thing will it do for you to help the next person like honestly because and if you so scared of somebody copying you and you being you if you so scared of somebody copying you then that's where you're in it for the wrong reasons number one number two you ain't got the mindset like you ain't got the right mindset and number three like a person that knows they have some gems and some plays they won't even be worried about the competition or somebody copying them a person copying them because one thing about a copycat they can't make no moves without you making it first baby this is chest knock chuckles so the thing about it you have to make sure that you have the right mindset you helping the person out you doing what you know is right you don't need to be hanging around nobody have nobody around struggling and you don't want boss stuff it just don't make sense it just definitely don't make sense it don't make sense to me at all and i don't know maybe i'm true maybe i'm tripping but hey i'm gonna be tripping because one thing about me i know some gems i know some information i can help out i'm gonna always help out and when it come to my family members and my friends and the close people i keep to me they always know that they always they know they got some help in me they always know they got somebody that's gonna give them some game if they need some if they want to know something about something that i do you know what i'm saying now when it comes to my business like i keep my business private now everybody i don't share my business with i don't let everybody know like all my business things but i do give you information and you know what what are you trying to do so we we see what you're trying to do i see what you are trying to do and then we move around that but i don't need to let you know what i'm doing up over here because you might not have the same goals and mindset that i'm having up over here we all have our own different goals so if your goals do this one thing it might not align with what i'm doing but as far as business business being structured and how it needs to operate and all that kind of stuff and if i can help you with the information i'll give it to you and especially when i'm doing like business uh talks and stuff with people i don't gatekeep the information i feel like that's the most time you can ask me as much as you need to know about the business or as much as you need to know about anything that you like that i do or see that i do so i really don't it that gatekeeper stuff it don't fly over here baby it flies out the door out the window yeah yeah and that's the thing like it'll never fly over here because i can give you the sauce if you ain't got the right mindset and your mindset is oh i want to go see how she do this just so i can copy whoop do the whoop you know what i'm saying or it's just like this you could be doing a you can sell an ebook or you can you can host the class or host a mentorship and people join just to see how you're doing stuff just so they can go and copy it i don't feel like they it all boils down to that like they can't copy nothing without me making a move first i'm the one i gave you the gems i'm the one you can't make no move without me making my move first so that's how i look at it anyway when it comes down to it that copying you can't make no move without me making it first baby and i can give you the sauce all day but it ain't gonna taste the same you know what i'm saying it ain't gonna taste the same it ain't gonna it ain't gonna work it ain't gonna fly gonna fly at the dough out the wind joe okay you know some people make people pay for information that's why i said pay to play you make somebody pay for the information i don't feel like nothing wrong with it you you've been doing this for so long now you think you're gonna make somebody pay for the information you've been doing you've been doing this for so long now you think you're gonna make somebody pay for the information you want to teach people and you want to get paid for your teaching teachers do it every day they went to school for it they learned all the stuff now now they get paid to go teach people kids and now they're getting paid to teach this and teach that i don't really associate paying to play with gatekeepers you got to sometimes you got to go invest and that's another thing like when you want to know some business or the sauce or what's really happening in your field when it comes to business or just really want to know how a person doing something you can't make somebody pay for you don't have to pay for some information like it's people want to get paid for their knowledge that's like one of the top things you could be doing right now honestly that's one of the top things you could be doing right now is selling your knowledge like teaching people what you know so paying to play is very necessary you got to learn to invest in yourself when you want to know something about business and you want to know nothing about no business you got to go invest in it whether that's in college or taking courses mentorships all of that internships you got to go pay to play baby like you just got to learn to continue to be a student don't just think people just sit here and just give you all the game and you ain't doing no work for it you got to get them something out of the deal you know what i'm saying because it's all good and people do like to give and help and help and help but dang after a while people like wait a minute i'm giving all these gems and i'm dropping all these i'm helping all these people i'm loving it but i feel like i can make this into some income of course you see the benefits you see the benefits in it you see the the numbers you see all of this stuff in you that's dropping the gems and giving people all the gems of course you're gonna want to get paid for it of course there could be another income stream for you so yeah you're gonna always have to invest in yourself pay to play and even if you are not a person in business like you're gonna have to invest in it could be personal stuff like you need a therapist or you need a psychologist you're gonna have to invest in it invest in that kind of stuff it's all an investment it's an investment in business it's an investment in self now it is cool that a lot of people give gems every day and you don't have to pay for it and you have so many people they drop a lot of gems you run across a person and they change your whole life just by telling you this isn't that giving you one little you know little piece of information that could help you and everything or just whatever that's cool but then once you see that it works out once you see that what they gave you is a gem and you just it took off for you and everything and then you're gonna have to invest in it and you're gonna have to pay for it and you could possibly do some information with it i feel like you should go back in you should go back and like help another person show somebody else what you just learned help another person i feel like you just got some help go help the next person and it can just keep flowing helping people and i i'm gonna give y'all another example like and we gonna like wrap this years ago like i don't know so many years ago and i remember asking a person like oh how do you do this because i've seen them like gaining a following on social media and this was a person that didn't even do social media i was already like trying to do social media but i was like not as consistent but i was posting i feel like i was more so posting more about like my hair and people come and book me to get your hair come and book me to get your makeup your hair that kind of thing like the beauty field so i wasn't really posting on my personal page as much and so i remember seeing this person that i was calling like a friend at the time and i used to hang out with from time to time and i was like oh so i was like well i'm trying to gain like more clients and then i went on my personal page i want to gain more of a following and i would see this person like follow following like you're following you used to be way undermined and then you're not a person that even posts on social media so i was like how you even getting your like how you getting all these followers how you doing i don't know i'm just i don't know i just posting in people be there's like and stuff and it was in the era where a lot of people i mean i know people still do it now but this was like the era where a lot of people was paying for likes paying for subscribers watching a few videos and getting a few likes like once you watch this uh too many video you get a like it was so it was like in that era where people was doing that but me i wasn't on to that so because i've been doing everything organically like even to this day i still do it organically and i feel like that's why when i do post a product or i do come out with something people trust my judgment because i've either been using a product for years i you know what i'm saying i use a product for years i keep showing people how it works or just anything like that i have a loyal fan base actually mess with me hard so and i'm thankful for that it was in the era of people that's really doing stuff now like they he was gaining a lot of followers and thousands and thousands of followers because they were paying for them or they were watching little sets of videos to get the likes and get to follow you know what i'm saying fake accounts to follow them and all that it was like in that era oh at the time i was like how are you doing that and the person was playing dumb like they don't know how it happened you know what i'm saying i just said that when i look back on it i'm like that's god because yeah i probably wouldn't even have had that platform no more if i would have went that route and did all of that my stuff probably would be banned deleted all of that all them followers and you can't even sell a product and it's looking goofy and you got all these followers but your likes ain't adding up with the followers and it doesn't look goofy you know what i'm saying so i just thank god for that because once i found out how to organically grow we just going that route like everything organic we just going that route but yeah it's just it just tells you like people don't be wanting to let you know how they do stuff because they scared you would be up higher than them and then like if somebody do the same thing as them they they start looking at them like competition like i remember when i first like started posting outfit looks and i would already see people posting the outfit looks and i used to do this like in high school we used to post our outfits and we used to sit here and um i used to dress my friends up and stuff like that i used to dress my friends up and the outfits and take pictures of them and just have a whole little photo shoot if y'all some people that i used to hang out with in high school if you were listening to this y'all already know your girl used to be having y'all in the clothes taking the pictures being a photographer the makeup artist the her stuff they're doing our whole they're doing the whole dang thing okay baby so if you know you know but yeah i just used to be doing it and then like is it so funny to look back on like your girl been doing it a lot your girl been doing it but yeah like i used to be doing it but i see like some people that like heavenly like they took when we got out of high school they took off with the post and outfits looks so then once you give it get up in that field of doing things they look at it as competition and they don't want to help you this this and that and then i remember one of the girls one of the girls like she came and asked me like oh what they like the way i edit my pictures or edit filter whatever my pictures so they like oh um what what uh editing software do you use i was told them that i use this one subscription and i pay this much a month for or a year for it because i don't have to gatekeep information because i can tell you how to add what app i use and all that but that don't mean you're gonna know how to edit like me you know what i'm saying because your girl do what she's doing she do what she do when she do it yeah but i don't have to gatekeep information i don't i can tell you what it is like you coming to me and da da da but then it just be like crazy me like you want to come to me in private you want to message me in the private how you edit this picture it just became weird like you you want to send me my post and say how you edit like this and then i give you the information then i go through the likes baby you didn't even like the post but you want to know what kind of hair i'm wearing or you want to know how i edited like this or you want to know where i got these lashes from but you ain't even like the post so that kind of stuff be making you like baby go some investment go do go do some research yeah no but it does be like that like you don't even you don't never like a post and you sending me my post and ask me how i do this and how i do that and can i show you how to do this and do that but you never like a post like you you the way people be not liking my post but in my dms you would think they don't even see my post but then when you're asking me how i do something you're in my dms and i understand it's just like what's wrong with letting everybody know that you're asking me on my comments or what's wrong with liking my post and then coming to ask me how i do something so that's why i say gatekeeping comes with its pros and cons because now i'm at the point where i would help you but i'm quick to tell you back and forth and i'm not going to tell you how to do it because i'm not going to tell you how to do it because i'm not going to tell you how to do it because i'm not going to tell you baby oh i had this uploaded video for that because especially if i never see you like a post but you in them story views and you sending me my post in the dm asking me how i do this and do that now that kind of part i'm just like no baby you know what i'm saying no you got to give support to get it like you want me to support something and you want me to show you something you're gonna have to show me some love period yeah i'll be like do not am i shadow man people don't see my stuff you know what i'm saying like people ain't seeing my stuff and whole time they seeing your stuff cuz they sending it to me asking me how i do stuff how i edit like this how i where i get these lashes from where i get this makeup from oh what kind of foundation you use oh and i literally make the post and i tag the products or i make a video on it you know what i'm saying and and they watch me on my stories and then they'll just send me a dm and ask me how i do stuff now i understand it is people that are private but it's i just feel like it's weird you see me trying to do something you see me trying to like pop my stuff out here but then you want to get in my dms and get some information like that point it's like no baby you're gonna have to show some love you're gonna have to show me some show me some love baby you don't have to put pay to play you're gonna have to come on with it you don't have to show me that you really want me to give you this information or you can just go to the next person that you like you know what i'm saying because that's another thing people don't mind sitting here tapping like when i'm doing something and i'm not doing it because i'm not doing it because i'm not scrolling through baby y'all liking other people post and for you to get in my dms and you ask me like how i do this how i do that like and then it's like this i'm my butt i'm so like givey givey givey i'm just like oh well i ended up here so i don't know if they make people just want to keep asking me stuff but then i go and look at my likes or look at my views you i was in the views never make sense baby but you know i mean i don't really i don't really take it personal like i really don't care about the likes and stuff because you know i just don't care about the likes i used to care about the likes but then it kind of just get weird when you want to always dm me and ask me how i do this how i do that where i get this from where i get that from and i already made the post with the products tagged and then you sending me my post and you asked me where i got to like what and that's another problem like that's another thing like people don't like to invest the information they don't like to put no money into nothing they think they posted this get the information from you all the time you posted this give it to them because you broadcast on baby people don't have to tell y'all nothing that's another thing people don't have to tell you nothing but the people that are telling you something like you don't want to show them no love or nothing like you don't want to give back it's crazy to me so that's why i feel like gatekeeping has its pros and cons but when it comes to like just gatekeeping information from a person that you could possibly help or benefit versus a person that's just sitting here that's trying to find out the information to be in competition with you there's low-key a hater they never show you no love but they want to know where everything you got from like and then they want to play like you ain't the one who let them know where it is they want to play you know i'm saying people like the play yeah yeah like it is just a lot that goes with a lot and when it come to social media baby your girl can get down on it okay i can really go and go and go and we can really talk about that but i think i'm gonna say that for another episode and that's why i'm saying like i could help a person that's in need i don't have a problem with it so don't look at this video as if your girl got a problem with helping i just feel like it's weird when it comes to my business and you trying to be in it you know what i'm saying but you ain't trying to you ain't showing no love to the business you ain't gave me no gems in the business but now you want me to help you in the business to be in my business no your girl goofy but that's why i'll be saying like stop it's it's just so much y'all and i could really go and go and go but this episode would be super long long and we don't want that right y'all do like long episodes though because y'all love me i love y'all i just can't stand the gatekeeping and i i just you know you know i understand understand why sometimes you gotta get keep but then i understand why it's important not to get keep like that's the thing i want to talk about when a person feel like you know a lot of stuff but you're not a welcoming person to give them the information it'll make it hard for a person to even purchase from you when you trying to host the class like people not gonna want to learn from you because they like this person ain't really teaching me nothing this person cannot teach me nothing because they haters they not really friendly people they don't come off as a friendly person they don't come off as a welcoming person and they're not gonna feel welcome so that's why gatekeeping and acting like everybody's trying to copy you because people do be copying i ain't gonna hold you on that but acting like everybody just no competition it makes newcomers not feel welcome to even come to you for information or come to you to ask you for stuff and i feel like i have a very welcoming energy so i feel like that's why when people do ask me things they know i'm gonna either tell them or they know i'm gonna either show them or i'll probably do it for them you know what i'm saying so i feel like your energy your vibe it gotta give that gatekeeper can lead to a lot of failures and missed opportunities baby because you don't want to gatekeep like imagine you trying to host the class like we are we're gonna keep getting into this example imagine you're trying to host a class you're trying to teach people something or you're trying to show people like oh y'all want to know how i do the eyebrows how you do the eyebrows oh y'all want to know how i do the hair how i do the hair you want to know how i wrap this vehicle you want to know how i do whatever you trying to do you want people to come you want to show people how you do what you do because you know they like what you do and they not showing up for you because of the simple fact you are a gatekeeper they know you really not gonna give them the gems they know you really not about their life like that's the thing knowledge is just so big so just because you're giving this knowledge don't mean that's the only knowledge that's out there about this field or about what you're teaching that's not the only knowledge you're just showing the people how you doing it you're just showing them what you know you're just telling them what you know so you can go and learn something else from somebody that's higher up than you and come back and teach another class and show them folks how to do the thing baby your girl in here preaching and honestly i'm gonna go ahead and probably wrap this episode up real soon y'all got about i got about a good 30 minutes and i gotta wrap this episode up because your girl got about a city your girl got about a city but i did one of this let y'all know like you can miss out on a lot of good opportunities like a lot of good opportunities to make you some cash a lot of good opportunities for you to learn some new things as well a lot of opportunities for you to meet some more people a lot of opportunities for you to collaborate with some more people and all of that different stuff just because you want to be a gatekeeper just because you don't want to see nobody win just because you don't want to help nobody get to the next level like imagine you being a blessing god puts us in this world to be a blessing so imagine if you are the blessing for that person and you just missed out on that blessing you just missed out on that person walking up to you asking you how to do this how to do that and they was the blessing that you could be missing out baby it's so much you could be missing out because you just have that mindset and i read this thing and i'm gonna read it to y'all i've been reading this book well this is like a daily devotional book uh motivational bernie mac's motivational book that i picked up from barnes and nobles and it's i don't care if you like me i like me by bernie mac i read this quote on august 16th and it said some i ain't gonna read the cuss words y'all because i don't want my stuff to you know so y'all i'm gonna insert words where he was cursing it because y'all know bernie mac can go you ever fall in with a person like that before maybe they real chill when you first working together and you on your best behavior you still in grind mode gathering information sitting back and learning from them you humble so they think you don't know anything they like it like that and they do they do people do like when you don't know okay they do like when you don't know no no when they think you don't know moving along them people like it when you don't know okay they do like when you don't know no no when they think you don't they do like when you don't know okay they do like when you don't know okay they do like when you down there and they weigh up there it got the kind of attitude that's proud and they need to feel superior to boost their ego so maybe you let them at first and they smile at you buy you drinks pat your back they like you as long as you nod and smile as long as you a yes man or yes woman but as soon as you speak up have an opinion that's different than theirs or you challenge them to something so with that being said i just want to come and tell y'all some people like when you don't know information they like when they know all this information and they know that they could possibly help you they can come out with a course they come out with a class they can just tell you the information but they don't do it when they some people like when they know everything and you don't and they don't want to help you for real and then they'll be hanging around you once you find out the information because you got this friend that you got next you ain't trying to help you and once you got this friend you know what i'm saying around you and they ain't trying to help you then you have to go get your own investments and invest in your own class and ask other folks about it and you learn about the business or whatever and you getting up here then you become the competition to people who ain't got the right mindset who ain't got the right intentions they start looking at you funny yeah so that's always what it be and when when they could have just stopped being a gatekeeper and they could have just gave you some information to possibly help you because you got this friend who ain't got the right mindset who ain't got the right intentions because of the simple fact we all can win and when it come to money it's a lot of money out here you know what i'm saying it's a lot of money out here so we all can win so you got to make sure you have the right mindset one thing about them tables baby they always turn so i want to encourage everybody who's listening and just watching this i want you to do this today if you have some information that can help a family member a friend see them doing something or trying to do something you see them on the rise you see them doing some stuff you know some things some type of equipment you know a new car part you whatever you can help them in any way help them like you're doing a good deed when you giving other people information or when you helping them out like you never it's never a bad thing even if that help that you give them turns out to be them doing some shady stuff they gonna be the one in the end looking goofy baby they gonna be the ones looking crazy because they can miss out on a friend they can miss out on opportunities they reaping what they sow so once you put in that money you're gonna be the one that's gonna be stuff out like that and somebody helped you you let god handle it you let god handle it i ain't trying to put this on y'all if you're not a person that you know i would hope so if you're watching me i would hope you believe in god but like don't don't even worry about it just know that what you're doing on your heart is pure and true and you have the right intentions you have the right mindset you know what you were trying to possibly do here it ain't about no copying it ain't about no competition it ain't about being no hater it ain't about none of that just make sure you have the right mindset and know what you're doing and make sure you are doing it for the right reasons those tables always turn we as people need to understand this one day you gonna need help you up here now and you know all this stuff here and there but you're gonna have to go and get help from the next person we all need help it don't matter what it is it don't have to be business it don't have to be um your job it don't have to be any of that it could be personal things it could be you needing grandma help to watch the baby you need this help over here because you just got kicked out of your house it could be you losing your car so you need jobs you need to work you trying to look for a new job you're trying to get work you're trying to do this you're trying to do that we all are here to help each other we are here to spread love we are here to spread positivity and them tables gonna turn so whenever you hear putting out and acting like you that's better because you know all this information and you withholding all this information and you don't want to help the next person because you scared of competition and everybody being a hater and and you just everybody copying you but i already told y'all how i feel about the copy people do we got but that's the thing about the copying like i told y'all before they can't make a move without you making a move first and yeah you when you have that mindset you can't even worry about that kind of stuff anyway just know that them tables turn and you don't want to be burning bridges you don't want to be sitting here gatekeeping information that could have possibly helped the next person because you could be in that position and you will be wanting somebody to help you so do this today tomorrow whenever help the next person what can you do today to help somebody do you know some information that can help a person's business do you know some information that can help somebody that's struggling to make more money do you know some information that or could you do some things to help people to make more money or lead them to make more money or could you do some things to help a person spiritually mentally emotionally can you do these things could you send some encouraging words to these people like it's all about that it's all about us helping the next person and it don't always have to be financially it don't always have to be financially it don't always have to be physically it could be mentally emotionally because we all go through it and not all of us have the same struggles the person that's struggling financially might not have a mental struggle or they might not have a physical struggle everybody do not have the same struggle one thing about them tables they always turn so let's make sure you on the right end of them tables you on the right
