New York City has fallen. Remember in the Dark Knight Rises when the villain Bane decides to take over and destroy Gotham City by essentially unleashing a gigantic class war? Well imagine that Bane doesn't wear a mask but instead a smarmy smile. That he has the adoration of an entire legacy media and that he also sympathizes with the radical Islamic hatred for the United States. Well that would be Mayor Zoran Mamdani. Yesterday Zoran Mamdani pulled the single most disgusting communist stunt I've probably ever seen in America in New York City and it's only going to get worse from here. We'll get to that plus Mamdani spitting in the faces of 9/11 families, Hunter Biden sitting down with Nick Fuentes and feminist Odyssey translator Emily Wilson agreeing with the post-liberal right about the shortcomings of Christopher Nolan's film. This is the Ben Shapiro show. So it is certainly not unprecedented in human history that when people take positions of power they seek to unleash the proletariat against the bourgeois law. In fact, it's really, really common. Well Zoran Mamdani decided yesterday that it would be a great idea to do this in the most obvious and disgusting way. So yesterday according to the New York Post Mamdani's administration published a searchable database of New York properties that could theoretically fall under the state's new Pietta Terratax. So that Pietta Terratax was supposed to be a tax on people's second homes and now the city has decided to upload a comprehensive list, purporting to cover all unoccupied non-primary residents in the five boroughs with North of a million bucks, but not just the addresses, the full names and the addresses of every single property owner. So it's just a list of supposedly rich people. The New York Post counted some 960,000 residences and individuals listed as potentially in line to be hit with Mamdani's Pietta Terratax. And though originally when he was selling this stuff, he said it would be 31,000 homes that would be liable for the Pietta Terratax, the second home tax. So they listed almost a million residences in people and includes everybody, everybody who's rich, including by the way, some a list celebrities like Taylor Swift, Cynthia Nixon ironically, Woody Allen and Martin Scorsese. Two city council members appeared in the document. It was originally supposed to list apparently only non-primary residences, which again, is bad. Okay, it would be bad if they had just done it the way they were supposed to by listing non-primary residences. First of all, why is it your business? Who owes tax? Why is that your business? As long as they are abiding by the law and paying the tax that they owe, why ought you know their name and address? There's only one reason to dox people this way, to release people's name and address and say, these are the richy riches. There's only one reason to do that. And it's because you wish to unleash the proletariat on the bourgeois. That is the reason to do this. You're increasing danger to actual human beings for political gain. That is what Zorn Mamdani is doing. But it turns out that he's also bad at it because he also is targeting a bunch of people who actually are living in their apartments. Remember, Pieditère is supposed to be a second home tax. Instead, he listed a bunch of people who live in their homes, including ironically, the strict 6-democrat, Gail Brewer, who said, "I've been living in my place 365 days a year since 1994. This whole list must be messed up." Many of the homes included in the database appeared to be misaligned, with a tax aimed at well-heeled resonances with multi-million dollar vacation homes, including some two dozen modest homes on Chaffee Avenue and working-class throggs and heck in the Bronx. And those home values are not a million dollars plus, those are like 500 grand to 800 grand. So again, what is all of this about? It is about an intimidation tactic. It's about intimidation. That's what the whole thing is. The whole goal here is to force people to leave. This is revolution. The idea is, you are not protected if you're in New York. In fact, we are going to put out your name and address, if you're famous and rich and you own a place. You either have to pay additional security in unofficial tax just to keep your home safe now, or you should sell and go. Now that is not going to alleviate the housing problem. As we'll talk about in a second, all of the commie solutions that are being proposed by Mamdani are not about actual solutions. They're about destroying the system from within. Because if you force all these people to sell, that actually leads to a decline in the prices of the homes. And now, the decline in prices of homes sounds good at the beginning, but it turns out that when you have rent control and heavy building regulation, all that ends up happening is that no one is going to build a home ever again because of the only way that anybody could make a profit was to build a new home. And instead, you're forcing the market down. What you are doing is removing all incentive for development. No one is going to build new houses or new apartment buildings in New York under Zorn Mamdani. I know many, many, many investors at this point are pulling their money from New York City as we speak. We're also talking about a massive decline in tax revenues. Here's the thing about that pitotary tax. The people who bought those places and are paying property tax already in New York City. Those people are not taking advantage of the services of New York City because they're not there full time. They are already tax positive for New York City. But none of this is the point. The point is class resentment. It is literal class warfare that is the goal. It is just the first step. It is about unleashing a population against the rich. It is about just eating the rich. That's all it is. And again, this is nothing new. It's nothing new. Marks and Engels wrote in the Communist Manifesto. People cannot be affected except by means of despotic inroads on the rights of property and on the conditions of bourgeois production. By means of measures, therefore, which appear economically insufficient and untenable. But which, in the course of the movement outstripped themselves, necessitate further inroads upon the old social order and are unavoidable as they means of entirely revolutionizing the mode of production. In other words, make things unworkable. Jam the system. And when you jam the system, you create more iron and more anger and more of a movement. And eventually, that turns into full-scale property seizures or mobilizing the population against one another. That is the goal. And you've seen this in every communist country. All of them. In 1929, Stalin was unleashing the proletariat against the so-called Kulaks, the private homeowners and landowners. Mao in 1934 gave a speech in which he said, "If we only mobilize the people to carry on the war and do nothing else, can we succeed in defeating the enemy?" Of course not. We want to win. We must do a great deal more. We must lead the peasants' struggle for land and distribute land to them. And that is the goal. More recently, Robert Mugabe, dictator of Zimbabwe, he decided on what he called fast-track land reform. That was property seizure from white landowners in Zimbabwe, unleashing the population to simply go and occupy those farms. And here he is describing why he did that. There is enough land in the country. And out of 12 million hectares, what we want, are about half of that, 5 million plus. And they, only 4,000 farmers, own 12 million hectares of the most-feta land in the country, why can't they agree to 5 million plus coming our way? OK, so he is just talking, I mean, again, if you change, you land, talk to money, talk, he sounds perfectly like Zorn Mumbani or Bernie Sanders. All we're saying is that some people own expensive apartments. And more people should be able to own those, why should we have such wealth inequality? It is always the same logic, always and forever. It starts off with this populist talk and it turns into the complete violation of private property and private property seizure and violence, that's what it always turns into. Well, Zorn Mumbani, he's going after property owners and that also means he's going after businesses. But here is the thing. At least for now. So, this is our mom's onions using pure intimidation. It's the reason why a few months back, you literally did a video pointing to Ken Griffin's apartment in New York City in an attempt to intimidate. That's the only reason you do this. As to mobilize people against people who are wealthier than they are. It's disgusting. It is vile. It is vile. He's not saying he's going to make your life better. He is pledging to make the rich guy's life worse. And this is supposed to be the thing you rally around. It is full-scale destructive. It is bane stuff. And understand that for Zorn Momdani, the bane mask isn't the face mask that is done by Tom Hardy. The face mask is the smile because underneath that smarme, underneath that plastered on-grid is the most vile, anti-American person. You can imagine running New York City. It's insane. Remember this video? Remember this creepy face coming at you at 3 a.m. Well today we're taxing the land. I'm thrilled to announce we've secured a Pieda Terre Tax, the first in New York's history. Those who store their wealth in New York City real estate but who don't actually live. But even so, they're able to reap the huge financial rewards of owning property in dare I say, the greatest city in the world. And most of the time these units are sitting empty. Since again, they don't actually live here. This is a fundamentally unfair system that hurts working New Yorkers. Now it's coming to a red. It's just crap. By the way, again, the list that he released is for everyone supposedly who owns an apartment above a million dollars and it's below that. It is not about that. It is an implicit threat. This is an implicit threat. That's why you go outside someone's house and show a video of it. You're not doing that because you are trying to generate good public policy. It is a threat. It's all a threat and the goal is to wreck the system. That is the entire goal. It is to force people out. It is to force them to not only sell but to leave. And of course, that's just the beginning because of course, the end goal as well as with Marx is to nationalize the means of production. That is the goal. And so he's doing that too. So Mamdani yesterday didn't just unleash this gigantic list of basically every property owner in the city. He also laid out a plan for five city run grocery stores. Now what he says again, the gigantic lie here is the grocery stores are gouging you. It's nonsense. America is the most well fed country on planet earth. It is not particularly close. Americans have a massive obesity problem. We do not have a starvation problem in the United States. Either reality of actually eating in the United States. Here's an actual basket you could ring up at Aldi this week. Investor Filmic Alistair ran this down. Hey, here's what things cost right now at Aldi's. You get a whole chicken about five pounds at one twenty nine pound for six forty five. You get a dozen eggs for two sixty a gallon of whole milk for about three bucks, a five pound bag of russet potatoes for three dollars and forty cents, a three pound bag of yellow onions for two dollars and twenty cents, a two pound bag of carrots for a buck fifty five, three pounds of bananas for a buck fifty five. A two pound bag of white rice for a buck ninety one pound of dry black beans for buck thirty five one pound of spaghetti for buck fifteen, a jar of pasta sauce for a buck eighty five a loaf of bread for buck forty five and forty two ounce canister of O's for three fifteen. That's twenty two thousand calories for thirty one dollars. Is the suggestion in the United States that groceries again everything is too expensive. Okay, because of inflation, but that does not mean that a government run grocery store that is designed by the way. To be too expensive to undercut the food supply of New York, because that will be the predictable result of this. I'll explain in a second. This is all poser crap. It is nonsense. Here's Mamdani laying out his plan to undercut private sellers of groceries in New York city, which will have some pretty predictable results. Today I am proud to announce a collection of essential staples that will be predictably thirty percent cheaper at all five of our city run grocery stores. This core set of goods will include all fresh produce, meat and seafood along with twenty other essential items like cheese, milk and bread. Here's how it will work. Once a month, our five city run grocery stores will set prices for this core set of goods at thirty percent below typical retail prices. No exceptions, no gimmicks. The savings will last for the entire month. That means no weekly fluctuations nor sticker shock at the checkout line. Not for our seniors living on fixed incomes, nor for the parents who rely on a regular supply of apple slices to keep toddler tantrums at bay. Okay, so first of all, these five grocery stores are slated to cost taxpayers $70 million, $70 million, which again is already up ten million from Mamdani said on the campaign trail. One store in East Harlem is slated to cost thirty million dollars. It is a ground up construction. It will work out to more than $3,000 a square foot to build a whole food or a trader's Joe's is $800 a square foot. So Mamdani is already just subsidizing his government run grocery stores with taxpayer dollars. That's what this is. This is taxpayers absorbing the cost for a thing they don't need to do in the first place. The store is spared from paying rent and property taxes, but the New York Post says the store is going to operate at a loss of at least $300,000 per year indefinitely. Listen, what Mamdani is doing right here is not realistic, obviously. It's utopian and really ugly and it violates every basic principle of econ 101. He's not interested in saving money or efficiency. But if you're interested in saving money or doing efficiency, obviously check out my friends at Pure Talk for a limited time. Mamdani's entire shite care is that people in New York City are starving to death. This is not true. It is not true. Here is Mamdani again doing the routine. In the wealthiest city, in the wealthiest country, in the history of the world, no New Yorker should have to worry about being able to afford to feed their family. Okay, so again, EBT cards are available, widely available in New York City. They're widely usable in New York City. This is just a silly talk. And then Mamdani went on to try to pretend he's doing the same thing that Mayor LaGuardia did decades ago. More than a century ago, Mayor Ferella LaGuardia witnessed the food riots of 1917, led by immigrant mothers incensed with storing food prices. Those mothers took to the streets to overturn push carts and eventually called for a boycott of marked up goods. Years later, when he became Mayor, he spearheaded the creation of municipally owned markets to reduce the cost of groceries for those same immigrant mothers. He did so because he believed that it's not a simple definition of the task of government to make people's lives better. Today, we are once that closer to fulfilling that fundamental responsibility. He's just the worst. He's just the worst. It's not true. LaGuardia was trying to solve a problem. The problem was that the revenders who were unsanitary on the streets selling junk on the streets because there were no modern supermarkets yet. Again, the notion that America is deeply, deeply in trouble because of our grocery stores is nutty. It is crazy. So one reporter asked a pretty simple question. If you're worried about starvation, why not just give more money to the food programs? Because it turns out the nonprofits like the New York City food bank already run extremely extensive food pantry programs delivering 86 million meals annually. So why don't you just give them money? It's funded by the way, not just by public charity, but donors like stop and shop more in Stanley Bank of America, Delta Airlines, MetLife Foundation, Starbucks Target and Tropicana. So why doesn't he just give the money to that? Well, the answer is again, the goal here is the destruction. He's not trying to build something. He's trying to destroy it. It sounds like what you're essentially offering these purveyors of grocery services is, you cover the property tax, you build out the building, you cover any sort of recurring rent, but they have to bring in the food, discount it a certain amount, high quality of wages. I mean, these are millions of dollars effectively shuffling back and forth. So I'm wondering why not just spend these millions of dollars and give to agencies like the campaign against hunger or city harvest or just direct established food programs? We see in this city an opportunity to take all of the above approach. We are going to continue to work with incredible partners like the ones that we're here with today, as well as ensure that food pantries across the five boroughs can flourish. Okay, this is just, it's ridiculous. It's just ridiculous. Now again, let me be clear, Americans as a people, we are very, very, very well fed. We are very well fed. The obesity rate in the United States is north of 40%. To understand how crazy that is, you just have to understand that all over the world, where people are poor, they are starving in the United States, where people are poor, they are obese. There's a very heavy association in the United States between poverty rate and obesity, which does not speak to starvation. And again, that doesn't speak to quality of food or the veggies that they're eating. Hey, but again, this idea that groceries are unobtainable in the United States is just nonsense. It is not true. It is the real goal. Investors Sean McGuire laid it out pretty clearly and correctly. He said, this is literally how you destroy an economy. You tax people to subsidize these community run grocery stores, but two things that happen. The people being overly taxed are to leave to places like Miami. That's what it has with Ken Griffin in his business. And second, shoppers leave the traditional grocery stores and they go to the subsidized community stores because the prices are lower. Then the traditional grocery stores go bankrupt because they can't compete with the government. And then the supply chain breaks down because the commie stores can't stock their inventory at any price because again, you're not going to ship your eggs to New York if you can ship them somewhere else for a higher price. And then people freak out and then people flee and then people hoard up for themselves and they stop working and they turn on their neighbors. Again, the failure is the plan. The failure is the plan. It's the whole thing. The notion that Mamdani wants people to live better in New York. It is not true. He just wants class resentment and class warfare. And that those Mamdani grocery stores, unless you are expecting, lines around the block, were years on end, which is exactly by the way how communist grocery stores are. grocery stores used to work. You would show up with a coupon and the food was free. You just had to wait in line for sometimes days on end to get what you wanted and half the time it wasn't there. In fact, line standing was so common in communist countries. People would literally make a job out of standing out of line. You would pay somebody to hold your spot in line because you had to go to your factory and you get some slub to stand in line for seven hours for you. So again, affordability is not the plan for mom Donnie. This notion that Zoran mom Donnie even intends for there to be affordability is not true. It is not true. Listen, people want real savings. They don't want the appearance of real savings that actually bankrupts you. None of this is about effectiveness. Take rent control. Mom Donnie's a huge fan of rent control. He's going to cap the rents. He's going to stop the rents from increasing. Well, it turns out according to the Wall Street Journal, a huge percentage of people who are in the rent stabilized apartments are wealthy are wealthy. Take a look at this chart. It turns out the top 25% of earners living in New York City rent stabilized apartments pay $1,000 less each month in median rent compared with market rate units. That's a 33% savings and rent. The top 10% of earners save $1300 a 36% discount. Meanwhile, if you're a rent stabilized tenant who doesn't earn as much money, you pay to only about $300 less compared with the market rate. It turns out that the rich people are taking advantage of the rent stabilization. Landlords used to be able, according to the Wall Street Journal, to convert their rent stabilized apartments to market rate if 10 and 2 lived there, made 200 grand for two years in a row. But then, that got prevented. None of this is about efficacy. It turns out that when Mom Donnie wants efficient policy, what does he do? It turns out he does a bunch of Republican leaning things. But at the same time, he's doing all this commie grab. He put out what he termed a new era of small business plan in a cutesy little video. You will notice that every single thing he actually does here is fine with Republicans. When he actually wants to do effective things, he has to pick up Republican policies. He's doing it as a chef's table video. Of course, everything is very cutesy for him. Mayor's table opened for small business. Halal Fatal, skewering administrative barriers, and streamlining access to street vending. The vaulties not appreciate these music this way. The ockie way, reducing or eliminating excessive rules and penalties. Shows an ice cream bowl, deconstructed double working with the state to eliminate redundant frozen dessert permits. Again, this is all due regulatory policy. This is stuff that I-- or it's-- when he wants to make life better, he has to do a bunch of stuff, then ship your own support. When he wants to, he affects the revolution, he releases everybody's name online, and then declares government run grocery stores. What? Rash. What total trash. It's insane. Hey, but here's the problem for Mamdani. Or what would be the problem for Mamdani in a normal world? It turns out the American people they don't like socialism very much. They do not believe, actually, that socialism is about freedom. So Francesca Hong is a Wisconsin gubernatorial candidate, another one of these democratic socialists of America members, and she says it turns out that socialism is about freedom. This is not a widespread belief in the United States. I think the word socialism has become politicized, and the connection to it is about the people who have harmed others through socialism as opposed to talking about what it is, which is a government that provides the essential public goods and services to help people live the lives that they want to live. I think democratic socialism is actually more about freedom than any other form of government. And the scaryness that surrounds the word really comes from the people who want to maintain the status quo. That is an S-word we should be afraid of, because it's been these types of systems and the people who uphold these systems, who have led us here. So a new playbook with some new plays and new players, I think, is very sensible. Another S-word I would like more associated with the word democratic socialist. It's the status quo is the real thing. The American people don't agree with this. So there's a new poll out from our friends at Manhattan Institute about welfare and waste and crime in the political environment. A few sort of key findings. One is support for universal basic income. Only 32% of Americans total, strongly or somewhat support universal basic income. The idea that the government ought to just give you everybody a check. It is opposed by 50% of Americans. Some 18% say they are not sure. Even among Democrats, only 51% support universal basic income. Among independence, only 30% support. Now again, when you get to the youngsters, the youngsters being dumb, 49% of them support UBI as opposed to people over the age of 65, 18% of whom support UBI. Okay, how about whether people should have primary responsibility for helping other people or whether the government should do it? So Manhattan Institute offers some options. Who should have primary responsibility for helping people who can't help themselves? Government, family and local community, churches and private charities are not sure. It turns out a minority of Americans believe government should have the primary responsibility. 45%, 25% believe family and local communities should be at the top of the heap. And as far as churches and private charities, 12% believe in that. Now, again, one of the things that the Manhattan Institute did not distinguish here is local versus say state and federal government. And again, it's his primary responsibility, not total responsibility. How about the design of government assistance? It turns out the vast majority of Americans are not a fan of the idea that you should just receive a check for breathing. When asked which comes closer to your view about how government assistance should work, assistance should be targeted and focused on those who are truly unable to provide for themselves or assistance should be universal. Even 54% of Democrats agree that assistance needs to be targeted. When asked the main goal of government assistance programs? Is it making sure everyone has a basic minimum or is it about reducing the income gap? It turns out that everyone agrees it is about the basic minimum and pretty much no one agrees it's about reducing the income gap. As far as which is the better way to help low income households, provide benefits like food, housing or healthcare that can only be used for those purposes or just give people cash, the answer it turns out is they want everything earmarked, the American people. And that's true across the political spectrum. They do not just want to give people cash. How about support for work requirements? For example, supplemental nutrition assistance programs. Again, it turns out that among all voters, some 57% of voters agree with the idea that there should be some work requirements, including some 58% of independence. So again, here's the thing, communism, like Mamdani style communism or democratic socialism whatever they want to call it. It is not all that popular, but here's the thing. Here's the thing. Actually, the spoonful of sugar that makes the medicine go down. The communism believe it or not is the medicine. The spoonful of sugar that makes it go down with young people is the anti-Americanism. That's the part that's fun. That's the part that's transgressive. And that's how you end up with a mayor of New York. That is how you end up with a mayor of New York who hangs out with people who celebrate 9/11 in the city in which 9/11 occurred. That's how you get there. It is the anti-Americanism. The anti-Americanism is not the bug. There's something we need to understand. Because I think there are a lot of Americans who believe that the anti-Americanism of Zoran Mamdani, how could he win in spite of that? No, no, no. He's winning because of that. I've been saying this for at this point, well over a year. The reason the DSA is winning right now is not because of the communist economic proposals. Most people see through those and realize they're stupid. It is because of the anti-Americanism. It is the transgressive anti-Americanism. The selling point for Zoran Mamdani and his friends is not the communist affordability nonsense. That's what John Stuart pretends it is. That's not what it is. It is a belief that America is deeply flawed and evil and discriminatory and rigged. And that America therefore deserves whatever it gets. That is a popular point of view, particularly with young people and with people who've been told by the left that they are marginalized victims of the system, the intersectional coalition. And if the group gets big enough, you can turn the city where 9/11 happened into a city run by a man who hangs out incessantly with people who celebrated 9/11. The mayor of the city spits in the face of the families of the people who died on 9/11, which is exactly what is happening right now. Are you coming up? So Zor Momdani has been asked by a bevy of 9/11 families, not to attend the 9/11 memorial. According to the New York Post, families of 9/11 victims are demanding that Momdani be banned from the 25th anniversary of the attack at Ground Zero, branding him an apologist for Islamic terror whose presence would be an insult to the memories of the nearly 3,000 people murdered. Giovanni Gellante, who's 29 year old wife Grace Catherine Gellante was among, the 2977 innocent killed by al Qaeda said quote, "Our objection is based on his public record, his failure to meaningfully acknowledge the horror of that day, his employment of support for or association with the individuals with minimize 9/11, defend a terrorist or even suggested that America deserved the attacks." He is organizer of a petition drive that is collected over 1100 signatures, including from at least 300 victims families. And again, there are a bunch of reasons that are cited, including his pelling around on the mayoral campaign, the man named Imam Siraj Wahaj, who is a notorious gay hating Brooklyn Imam, who once urged followers to participate in gun-free jihad and march through the city of New York. He was an unindicted co-conspirator in the 1993 World Trade Center bombing, and here is a picture of Zor Mammdani with Siraj Wahaj. Could he look happier? Is it possible from the look happier? I don't think so. Or how about Mammdani's appointment of Ramzi Kassam is the city's chief counsel. Kassam defended Ahmed Al-Darbi and al-Qaeda terrorists to plead guilty in a 2002 plot to bomb a French oil tanker and Makhmoud Khalil, the radical organizer of the anti-Israel pro-Khamas tentafada at Columbia University. Mayor endorsed a fellow Democratic Socialist of America named Abrakawas for a state sentence he, even though she once described 9/11 as a terror attack that quote, "a couple of people did," and expressed sympathy for Ahmed Farhani, who pled guilty in 2012 to blowing up a man hat in synagogue. And of course, he endorsed Daria Lisa Shavallye and campaigned with her. You'll remember, I mean, here is Mammdani with Daria Lisa Shavallye. And here's what Daria Lisa Shavallye tweeted about the American flag. A ure call that she tweeted quote, "I forgot to get napkins, so I just wipe my hand on the American flag behind me." He endorsed her and campaigned with her. Or maybe it is his support for Claire Valdez, another congressional candidate, the DSA congressional candidate, who he campaigned alongside. But here she was talking about how ICE was spun up in the wake of 9/11 to terrorize our neighbors. 9/11 was basically just, you know, 9/11 was a thing that you used in order to push right wing nonsense. This agency was spun up in the wake of 9/11 to surveil and terrorize our neighbors. We can imagine a world beyond ICE. This is not that radical. You should stop spending billions and billions of dollars tearing our communities apart and really making all of us less safe. Or maybe it's, you know, Daria Mammdani with Hassan Piker. He campaigned with Hassan Piker. Hassan Piker was hit his victory party. He's on Mammdani. There they are, you know, besties. There they are, the mutton Jeff of radical anti-Americanism. And of course, as we all know, because we played it multiple times, Hassan Piker fully believes that America deserved 9/11. This is so insane. America deserved 9/11, dude. I'm saying it. And of course, like a week and a half ago, he decided he would display behind him in his studio, a headline about the World Trade Center is being destroyed from 9/12. You might have noticed something. Some changes behind me. I finally framed the Qudi Cinderella newspaper from 9/11, the morning of 9/12, the newspaper right there. The newspaper that covered 9/11, it's now officially sitting behind me. And I moved the North Korean poster up in place of the ban art. Okay. Again. Zor Mammdani is that guy. Is Zor Mammdani? Is these people? And then the 9/11 families who we don't want you here, they said, no, no, I'm going to show up anyway. But again, for 9/11 families, gotta say, it's probably the same for families of people, Jews in New York who are being targeted by Zor Mammdani's followers when he issues his and-and-a-nine statements about how violence has no place in New York City. Here's Zor Mammdani. Again, that's SMARMY BANE FACE ON. A number of people who are survivors of 9/11 are calling on you not to go to 9/11 memorial services. I wonder how you feel about the fact that they're trying to keep you away. I will proudly honor the families, the survivors, the first responders, forever impacted by that horrific terror attack by standing alongside them at this year's 9/11 commemoration, reaffirming that we will never forget the solemn day felt by all of us who call this city home and frankly by all of us who call this country home. Ridiculous. Ridiculous. Okay, so here's the thing. New York City is an object lesson. When Western civilization decides the real threat is not our enemies, it's us. When we decide that Islamophobia is the problem, not radical Islam. When we decide to open our doors to people who hate us and then teach our kids that were the bad guys, it turns out the barbarians take over. When they wear slicksuits and they smile, smarmy smiles and they repeat platitudes about how they love America. But meanwhile they say we need to end America as we know it in every single way. Again, this is a long time coming. The seeds for this kind of stuff were actually sewn by all the good-hearted people in the aftermath of 2001's 9/11 attacks. Majority will be bush immediately at the Islamic center of Washington insisting that Islam is a religion of peace. Remember this right after 9/11. Remember this, setting up the narrative that would be used for the next couple of decades by groups like the Council on American Islamic Relations, a group with unindicted, co-conspirator links to the Holy Land Foundation's terror trial, with roots going back to groups associated with Hamas using Islamophobia as their rallying cry. It was George W. Bush back in 2001, a signal error by the president. He's acts and violence against innocents violate the fundamental tenets of the Islamic faith. And it's important for my fellow Americans to understand that. The English translation is not as eloquent as the original Arabic, but let me quote from the Qur'an itself. In the long run, evil in the extreme will be the end of those who do evil. For that they rejected the signs of Allah and held them up to ridicule. The face of terror is not the true faith of Islam. Okay, now again, this is this idea that he had to stand up for Islam broad writ led to this nonsense that the real problem in the post 9/11 era was Islamophobia, which of course is something that Zor Mardanie constantly says. The problem was 9/11, 9/11 was not a reflection of Islam in any way or even radical Islam in any way. It was just some crazy people who did some crazy stuff. Some people did some things as El-Henomar has said, you know when she's not writing letters of support to people trying to join ISIS. The real problem in America is that America was the problem. The real problem is that America was Islamophobia. Here is Zor Mardanie back during the campaign. I want to use this moment to speak to the Muslims of New York City. I want to speak to the memory of my aunt who stopped taking the subway after September 11th because she did not feel safe in her hijab. I mean, that was the message. Okay, and it turns out that if you preach over and over for decades, then America is inherently Islamophobia. That the true danger of the 9/11 and post 9/11 era is not radical Islam, which you know, that's just a fringe thing. There are a few people. The real problem is widespread American bigotry and Western bigotry. They're going to end up doing two things at once. First, you will ignore the true problem of radical Islam and its extent, which is pretty extreme. And second, you will teach your kids that they and their parents are intolerant bigots if they oppose. Say, more mass, immigration or question the precepts of the people who preach radical Islam. The columnist Christopher Hitchens had it right back in 2009. Exist it while he's still can and before the right to complain is taken away from you which will be the next thing. You will be told you can't complain because you're Islamophobic. The term is already being introduced into the culture as if it was an accusation of race hatred, for example, or bigotry, whereas it's only the objection to the preachings of a very extreme and absoluteist religion. Watch out for these symptoms. They're the symptoms of surrender very often ecumenically offered to you by men of God in other robes, Christian and Jewish and smarmy ecumenical. These are the ones who hold open the gates for the barbarians aboutbearans and never take a city till someone holds the gate safe for them and It's your own preachers who will do it for you and your own multicultural Authorities who will do it for you resist resist it while you can He was not wrong and now one of course has been taken over So how much of a problem is radical Islam the answer is a pretty large-scale problem Now again, it doesn't mean that all Muslims or even the vast majority of Muslims are violent and radical But according to the Center for Strategic and International Studies in the UN Security Council and the US State Department There are about 300,000 actively armed militant members of terrorist groups like ISIS al-Qaeda or Hamas as many as 150 million Muslims express passive support or favorable views toward terrorist groups and their violent tactics in pew polling Hundreds of millions of Muslims according to views support Sharia law as governing law Now American Muslims are less radical than their international compatriots, but even among American Muslims according to a Pew poll published two months ago 44% expressed sympathy for the terrorist group Hamas. They're 1.5 million in 2001 there were somewhere between 85 and 120 mosques in the New York City area today. They're more than 300 The Muslim population of the overall New York City metro area was in the 3 to 4 percent range as of 2000 today. It's 10% of New York City Pew research indicates that over 25% of all Muslim immigrants in the northeast of the United States arrived after 2000 Primarily from South Asia West Africa and the Middle East and the Muslim population of the United States excuse much younger than the general population 26% of American Muslims are each 18 to 24 as opposed to 12% of the general population So that means that Muslims are about three times more likely to be current college or university students when compared to say Christians or Jews in New York So we imported people who are disproportionately sympathetic to the anti-Americanism of Zorn Mamdani and his allies More so than with the 9/11 victims in their families, but importation isn't the only problem obviously We also decided this is the undercurrent of the Islamophobia thing that America is bad. We decided that we were going to teach our kids that America is bad Remember just a couple of years ago. There was this entire tic-tac trend of kids reading those some have been letter Been laud in 9/11 letter and deciding who is right. Meanwhile, again, we'll see whether the weak need Democrats can come up with any opposition to this at all. It'll be interesting to see what happens in the Michigan Senate race. Haley Stevens, again, is running against El Sayed. And she is trying desperately to sort of play the old playbook. And we'll see whether it works or not. Here she was in her debate with El Sayed last night. - A lot of you remember of Duel from when he first ran for governor in 2018. It didn't work out. So he started the podcast, he wrote the books, and now he's running for Senate. And he's already bought the website for president. It's just another rung on the ladder. That's not what this job is for me. That's not why I'm putting up my hand in this moment. It's not about celebrity. This is about making sure that Mike Rogers doesn't get anywhere close to this seat. I'm the only one on this stage who has beat Maga four times and delivered repeatedly for their state and for our values, for our rights, and our freedoms. - Again, we'll see what this works out for her, but the traditional Democratic party is in serious trouble. Now speaking of the horseshoe, Hunter Biden sat down in Nick Flentes, which in odd pairing, Hunter Biden then put out a tweet explaining, quote, "Here's what I believe. We've been separated by people who profit from our separation. That is the business model. Keep us apart and sell us the fight." Here's what that separation does. People stop talking. They stop talking so they stop knowing each other. They stop knowing each other so they fear each other. They fear each other so they hate each other. You break that chain at the first link, not the last. I also believe there's one true existential threat to this democracy and his name is Donald Trump. So I will sit down with anyone who has a platform and sees in Trump what I see. So again, the horseshoe is complete. Hunter Biden sitting with Nick Flentes. Quote, "That is why I sat down with Nick Flentes. His views on race and women are antithetical to mine. But he is said about the Holocaust and Nazism is indefensible. He is also demonstrably persuasive and he has a bull who are no amounts of cancellation is taken from him. I wanted to hear it myself instead of reading what I'm supposed to think about it. Nick and I agree on almost nothing. We agree on Trump and that's the only thing that matters. That's the only thing that matters." And Nick Flentes delivered. He did tell Hunter Biden that he wants Democrats to win the House. I have a lot of confidence only because I think the Democrats are gonna take the House in 26, which I support. I'm telling my people vote Democrat. We want the Democrats in the House. Yeah, but I've been told there are no limits that we cannot, we cannot gay keep. I've been told this. There can be no ideological borders. We must unite with everyone. I've been told. I've been told by the most informed people. And then Nick Flentes says that his biggest problem with President Trump is that he is not Hitler. What's my problem with Trump? My problem with Trump is not that he's Hitler. Okay, my problem with Trump is that he is not Hitler. Well, you know, why is for honesty? Okay, meanwhile, on the cultural front. Obviously, there are a lot of people on the right who are trying to promote the idea that Christopher Nolan's Odyssey was gonna be a giant box office fail. I knew this was nonsense from the beginning. It was never going to happen. The movie was always going to be successful. It was just a question of how good it was. It's how successful it would be. Well, it's week two returns where some of the highest returns in the history of the box office because it turns out the movie's really good, as I said. And you can go watch my full review over at YouTube. Well, there's some people on the right who've made, I think, some interesting critiques of the film and then some not so interesting critiques of the film. But what's hilarious is that many of the critiques of the film of the right are now being mirrored by critiques on the left. So there's a woman named Emily Wilson. Emily Wilson is the person who did sort of a woke translation of Homer. Famously, she translated the opening line instead of, quote, "Sing in me, muse and through me tell the story of that man skilled in all ways of contending to tell me about a complicated man." And there are a lot of critiques of her translation as being too simplistic and also being essentially left-wing feminist. Well, she hated the film. She hated it. And she hated it for many of the same reasons that, shall we say, the post-liberal right hated it. Now, again, my own take on the film, the morality of the film is you could not make a version of the Odyssey that would be sympathetic to Odysseus under non-Christian effects without switching his character. There was no way to do it. Because in the Odyssey, for example, Odysseus, goes and nails a lady on an island for 10 years while abandoning his wife. You have to explain that somehow. In the Odyssey, he goes around randomly killing scores of people. And then when he goes back home, he hangs all the chambermaids. See, that a great guy. There's a reason that Dante had him in the eighth circle of hell. So if you wanted to make the true to Homer version of the Odyssey, Odysseus is one of the worst people who has ever lived. And no one wasn't gonna do that because no one's going to go see that. And so instead, he kind of used a Christian-infused ethics. Now, again, I'm not saying that he was sitting there with a New Testament when he came up with the plot. I'm saying the same thing that the historian Tom Holland has said, which is that Western ethics is rooted in Christianity. And therefore, those ethics come through in the Odyssey. And again, go watch my whole review. But this is precisely what Emily Wilson is upset about. So there are a bunch of things she says here. They are really, really funny. She says, and it's a very, very long review. So we'll just read some of the hottest sections. Quote, "You raised neutral casting of Nolan's Odyssey "was inevitably deplored in some quarters, "but there's nothing progressive about it. "Most of the non-white actors, "Entire, Lapita Nyongo, Tamesh Patel, "Cori Antonio Hawkins, Travis Scott, "play versions of the Black Best Friend, "who's only rolling the drama "is to ride aid to the white protagonist." So she's mad that the diverse casting is in her view stereotypical because they're all just helping Odysseus and Penelope and telemockets. Well, there are no gods, and yet Chipperex and Tath are presented as the inevitable consequence of blinding the Sun and devouring the cattle of the Sun. Zeus's law is portrayed as being crucially important and yet there is no Zeus. Nolan's vision of the world is not quite big enough to include either real gods or real people who might be different from us. Ah, so again. What she wants is a more secular feminist version of the story. And more, multicultural version of the story. She says Zeus's law is a version of archaic Greek Azenia. He idealized relationship between strangers, host and guest who must treat each other with mutual respect thereby forming multi-generational bonds between unrelated families. In the film, Zenia is filtered through contemporary American ideas about the importance of philanthropic charity. Well, people should be gracious toward the poor and hungry in their midst without necessarily doing anything to mitigate their poverty. So her problem is that Greek Azenia, she thinks, is better than the sort of American golden rule. And she says Nolan's Odyssey, it's narrative structure. It's gimmicky. The writing is abysmal. None of the characters has convincing motivation for their actions or words. There are no sex scenes and all the food looks horrible. I wasn't aware that you go to a vision of the Odyssey and what you expected was the food network. And of course, she says the most troubling ethical problem with Nolan's Odyssey concerns the decision to film part of the movie in the occupied territory of Western Sahara thus normalizing the ongoing violence against the indigenous so rowey people. What a joy Emily Wilson must be at dinner parties. My goodness. And again, the idea is that the movie is not feminist enough that the sort of subtly Christian ethos of the thing is bad. That essentially, you know, everybody is acting within American tradition and that's a bad thing. So again, I think that it is sort of hilarious that many of her major critiques are critiques that are echoed by some of the people who are critiquing the film from these sort of post-liberal rights. Again, I'm not making the claim that Christopher Nolan's a conservative. I'm making the claim that Christopher Nolan is basically an old-style Democrat in all likelihood who still believes in sort of some basic Western ideals and that it's infused into the movie in spite of significant problems with the movie, like for example, the casting of Ellen Page. Okay. Meanwhile, in other cultural news, they have now named a new black panther. His name is David Johnson. He's been cast as the new black panthers, paying Chala's son in black panther three, which isn't down until 2028. Ryan Kugler is back for the film. Let's issue right is back his shurry. She got kind of controversial. It's his right because she was in a movie produced by Angel Studios. And this made some people very, very angry. And it turns out that she also is not in favor. I believe of the COVID lockdown. But she's not been canceled. So there's that also because Comic Con is happening. We got a bunch of new trailers and we got some people who are dressed up. Brian Reynolds attended in full dead pool. Get up. And walked around in full dead. And nobody noticed him because it turns out that everybody at Comic Eye. I've been there before. My sister is a big comic with fan ticker and people. People did not know who's him because he had a mask on. So. All right. Yeah, there's a lot of fake a comic on. He was the only one Johnny Depp showed up and appeared as a group. They're making a new movie out of scrooge, which is like the scrooge you never knew. I don't know. I feel like we knew him pretty well, but okay. He brought us Jack Sparrow. A number of scissors hands. And the mad hatter. This Thanksgiving. The master of misfits returns. Two uncle scrooge. Mr. Scrooge. Okay. Johnny Depp back in sprooge and you're getting his back story. I say to you, sir. Mary Amban. Merry Christmas. Amban. And Happy New Year. I'm back. Okay. So we're all right. Okay. Again, not my favorite version of like. I would love to see a part where Johnny Depp gets to underplay it. I feel like that would be that'd be kind of a nice thing. So I don't know who direct that. I feel like another Tim Burton production basically. Yeah, it's probably not Tim Burton, but in any case, the funniest pop culture moment, by the way, of the past several days, I have to say is there's a clip that is going around of a Katy Perry concert. And again, Katy Perry is an unending source of hilarity to me because she is past her prime. She's dating Justin Trudeau and everyone of her concerts is more absurd than the last. There is a video that is going around of Katy Perry at a concert, I don't know, a week ago, in which she is in a gigantic plastic bottle and she's supposed to be rolled toward the stage over the crowd. And the crowd just started kind of like pushing her around like a beach ball at a baseball game. And here's what it looked like. Yeah. Yeah, I feel like that was a bad idea whoever conceptualized that. That was a very stupid idea, truly a stupid idea, especially the up and under angle. That is not that's not great for Katy Perry. Like, yeah. Oh boy. Everything in culture is going really, really well already coming up.
