Hello and welcome to another episode of The Fresh Finds Podcast. I'm Ryan and every episode I sit down with someone to discuss our fresh musical finds. These can be either new releases, songs we've recently discovered from lesser known artists, or deep cuts from the greats. Joining me today is James Jannick, who produces music under the moniker two four-letter words. How are you doing, man? I'm doing fantastic. How are you? I'm good. It's good to have you on the show. We've been going back and forth a little bit. Do you want to introduce yourself a little bit to the listeners so they can get an idea of who you are and what kind of music you like to listen to and create and whatever? Yeah, sure, sure. Okay, so first off, thank you so much for having me on the show, really appreciate it. I've been listening to it since my friend Chase so did to me a while back. Chase Claudier, he's been on a timer channel. Yeah, shout out Chase, great guy. So yeah, what do I do? So I'm in a band called Battle Stations. We're not very active. We're a post-hardcore band. And then my solo project is called Two four-letter words. I kind of just am doing whatever right now. I've made some like beats and like electronic stuff, but I'm planning on releasing a self-produced rock, like post-hardcore, emo, alternative rock album. So sometime later this summer, maybe in the fall, we will see what happens. But yeah, that's all I got. Yeah, keep an eye out for the new project. We're actually going to have an exclusive sneak peek at it at the end of this episode. So you're going to want to stick around. Oh, exclusive. Alrighty. So are you ready to just hop right into this then? Yeah, yeah. Should I send a song first or are you going to? I think that I think they all have the first one so that you'll have the closer, all right? That's the way that we've been doing it for 27 episodes so far. It hasn't steered me wrong so far. Perfect. Perfect. So my first song is a group that I found on my Discover Weekly last week, I think. And they're called Origami Button. They are a group that they describe themselves as Math Rock for people who don't like Math Rock, which I think is funny. And they're from Chicago. And this song is called Nervous. It is off of their new album, which came out on March 26th and it's their second full length release. The first one was an EP so it depends on whether you count that or not. but this is off of their album, No Parking.
