0:10 Speaker 1 I want to welcome you to session six of the Freedom series. 0:26 OK, so in the last session I explained the Karemkus, I explained it in detail. We touched on the accursed things curse a little bit, but you got the picture. 0:46 You already have knowledge of it from last year when we looked at it in the Danger in the Bloodline series. And we spent a lot of time looking at generational curses. So we're clear on that now, right? 1:02 Should be inherited curses today. But the Holy Spirit has pushed me onto witchcraft curses. Turn your Bibles, please, to Deuteronomy chapter 18. We thank you, Father, for your word. 1:24 When you come into the land that the Lord your God is giving you, you shall not learn to follow the abominable practices of those nations. They shall not be found among you. Anyone who burns his son or his daughter as an offering. 1:43 Anyone who practices divination, or tells fortunes or interprets omens, or a sorcerer, or a charmer, or a medium, or a necromancer, or one who inquires of the dead, for whoever does these things is an abomination to the Lord. 2:07 And because of these things, the Lord your God is driving them out before you. You shall be blameless before the Lord Yahweh your God for these nations which you are about to dispossess. 2:26 Listen to fortune tellers and to diviners. But As for you, the Lord your God has not allowed you to do this. Amen to the Word. Amen. 2:42 Now we're going to go back to verse 10 and we're going to examine the Word divination, and we're going to examine the word sorcerer. 2:59 We're looking at divination and we're looking at the word sorcerer, starting with divination. What is divination? Divination is the practice of seeking guidance or knowledge of the unknown or the future by supernatural means involving tarot cards, omens, palmistry, crystal balls, Ouija boards, astrology, horoscopes, etcetera. 3:37 Today, many people turn to these methods for self reflection, personal clarity, and emotional comfort during times of change or doubt. What is witchcraft? 3:54 Or what is sorcery? I should say, because that's the second word we're looking at, sorcery. Sorcery or witchcraft is listed here as the word sorcerer and it's translated from the Hebrew word quashaf and it means witchcraft, sorcerer or sorceress. 4:21 What is witchcraft or sorcery? It's the practice that involves the whispering of spells or the practising of magic invoking the spiritual forces of darkness and evil. It is the practice of engaging with the supernatural powers of darkness and evil spirits in order to harm someone. 4:48 Some of you are well aware of the social app called TikTok, right? And some of you are on it. TikTok has a branch called Witch T.O.K and Witch T.O.K to date has over a billion views. 5:12 See, Satan doesn't want the church to know that practice in witchcraft is a modern day thing. He doesn't want the church to know, which is why it's not spoken about. 5:30 But it needs to be spoken about because we need to understand the consequences of involving ourselves in certain things that look harmless and just look like a bit of fun. The Bible teaches us based on the verses that we just read in Deuteronomy 18, verses 9 to 14. 5:48 The Bible teaches us that any one of the nine things that were listed, if you count there are 9 things that are listed but God calls an abomination. That means God finds it disgusting. It's loathsome to him. 6:09 And if you or someone in your bloodline or a near relative has practiced divination or sorcery. Demons have a legal right to enter your house. 6:25 They have a legal right to enter your bloodline. They have a legal right to play in your sleep and play in your dreams. They have a legal right to enter your future. It's legal. 6:40 Why is it legal? It's legal because witchcraft is basically idolatry. Therefore, the curse of witchcraft and the demons who are responsible for putting the curse into effect legally travels the bloodline if you or any one of your parents or grandparents or near relatives have done this. 7:11 The curse was levied whether we knew about it or not. First Chronicles chapter 10, verses 10 to 14. 7:28 Take a note of this if you want to get a list of scriptures to turn to should you need to speak to someone about this. I can guarantee you there isn't a single person in here that hasn't been affected by this. Somewhere in your bloodline, someone has done this. 7:45 A near relative has done this. Somebody, or even yourselves. And even if you don't think it, it's for you. We're supposed to be repositories of truth. We're supposed to carry truth, even if it doesn't apply to us. 8:02 Someone should be able to press a button and we just release the truth of God so that they understand what they should and shouldn't do. Always listen to the Word of God from the perspective of being a carrier of truth. OK, Never sit there and say not me, not me. 8:20 Don't do that. We're supposed to be, I'll say it again, repositories of truth. Hallelujah. So in the land of Canaan, Israel came and conquered it. 8:38 You've all read your Old Testament. You all know that Israel can conquered the land of Canaan, right? Well, the Canaanites of that time practiced witchcraft and divination. They committed human sacrifice and then they made images also that they worshipped. 9:01 No different to ancient religions that we know about. OK, but Israel wasn't allowed to do that because Israel's God was and is Yahweh the one true God in the Old Testament? 9:22 The penalty for witchcraft, which is spiritual idolatry, was death. Exodus 22 verse 18 says you shall not permit a sorceress to live. 9:43 You shall not permit a sorceress to live. Now that wasn't Moses speaking, that was Yahweh. Moses just wrote down the law in the New Testament. It's listed as a sin that will keep us out of entering the Kingdom of God in Galatians 5 verses 19 to 20. 10:09 Now the works of the flesh are evident, which are adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lewdness, idolatry, sorcery, hatred, contentions, jealousies, outbursts of wrath, selfish ambitions, dissensions, heresies, envy, murders, drunkenness, revelries, and the like, of which I tell you beforehand, just as I also told you in time past, that those who practice such things will not inherit the Kingdom of God. 11:06 Why so harsh? Why, based on what we just read in Galatians 519 to 20, if we dabbled in sorcery, we wouldn't inherit the Kingdom of God? Why? Why according to the law of God in Exodus 22 verse 18? 11:24 What? Why is it that a witch has to be put to death? It's because witchcraft turns people away from the one true God. 11:42 Did you hear that? Witchcraft turns people away from the one true God. It bypasses God's involvement, it bypasses His authority, it bypasses His law, and it leads people right into the hands of harmful demonic spirits. 12:05 That's why First Samuel chapter 15, verses 22 to 23. So Samuel said, has the Lord as great delight in burnt offerings and sacrifices as in obeying the voice of the Lord? 12:32 Behold, who obeys better than sacrifice, and to heed than the fat of Rams? For rebellion is as the sin of divination, and presumption is as iniquity and idolatry. 12:53 Because you have rejected the word of Yahweh, the word of the Lord, He has also rejected you from being king. 13:10 So the Bible tells us here that witchcraft or divination is equal to rebellion. Why is the sin of rebellion like witchcraft? 13:29 I think to find the answer we'd have to examine the Hebrew word that was used to be translated into rebellion. What do we find? We find the Hebrew word Mara. 13:44 The word rebellion is translated from the Hebrew word Mara. Mara denotes active, willful opposition to the revealed will of God. It is deliberate defiance rather than mere error, portraying the attitude of the heart that resists, contradicts, or seeks autonomy from divine authority, human authority approved of by God or the leading of the Holy Spirit. 14:27 Now that's why it's like witchcraft, because the individual would rather serve self. Did you hear that the individual would rather serve self or another spiritual entity deliberately? 14:50 Reason why rebellion is as the sin of witchcraft. It's because people who are in rebellion would rather follow self. This is when self sets itself up against Yahweh as a God. 15:09 If you don't want Yahweh, you want something else. That's why it's like witchcraft and that's how God sees it. And it's not by accident either. But understand this. 15:24 The spirit of rebellion travels the bloodline. The spirit of rebellion travels the bloodline. I say again, the spirit of rebellion travels the bloodline. Can I prove that according to the Word of God? There are many verses, but I'll just show you one. 15:41 Jeremiah chapter 3, verse 25. Let us lie down in our shame and let our dishonour cover us, for we have sinned against Yahweh our God, we and our fathers, from our youth even to this day, and we have not obeyed the voice of Yahweh, the voice of the Lord our God. 16:14 Can you see the generation of that time was saying that they'd done the same thing as their fathers? We all know that Israel was stiff necked people. 16:30 God called them stiff necked and He often said that the generation at present that He was dealing with was just like their fathers. I go back to my point. The spirit of rebellion travels the bloodline. If one of your parents were rebellious, you probably are too. 16:52 Did you hear what I said? You probably are too, and that's according to the Word of God. It's not according to what I've observed, although if it were down to my observation, I can see that clearly. You can see patterns. 17:08 Is that right? Anybody have any males in here recognise something in them that isn't too nice or too pleasant that they've seen in their father? Right. God knows what he's talking about. The scientists have only just recently, in the last few years, cottoned on to what this is called. 17:27 They call it epigenetics. It travels behaviour, travels the bloodline. It's important that I magnify this word to him. Can I say it's not just men who are rebellious? Women are good at being rebellious as well and I guarantee you female that if you check your bloodline you'll see that your mum or your grandmother was pretty similar. 17:53 Also truffles. OK, I need to magnify this word today, OK? Because it's very important. Because God says it's like witchcraft. So don't think it's OK to be rebellious or to be called unruly in particular areas of your life because all God is seeing is witchcraft. 18:19 Now that's not cool. So from our understanding, let's break it down. What is rebellion? Rebellion is the spirit of disobedience and disrespect for authority. 18:37 God has established authority in the home, He's established authority in the church, and he's established authority in the government. He approves of it, and God himself is the greatest authority. 18:55 So if you place yourself above any level of authority in God's divine order, you have entertained demons of rebellion. You're not alone. 19:14 OK, now I'll just tell you this because somebody asked me a question this week and I didn't have time to answer. These things will come out as we go along. But let's say you're coming to deliverance today, our deliverance session after the service, and you want to be free from rebellion. 19:36 Let's say today God has shone his light on you and you admit I've been a rebellious person. I don't want to be a rebellious person anymore. We're going through that today after the service. But after we go through it, if you want to remain free from the demon of rebellion or the demons of rebellion, you've got to submit to all that. 19:58 God has ordained authority. If you want to be free from it, if you don't want to repeat, if you don't want anything coming back, you have to submit and then you won't have to go and break any more curses. 20:19 Now we got to go back to the word Mara, because I want to show you something else. Yeah, I don't even have to say anything. The word Mara that was also translated into rebellion also means bitter. 20:45 Bitterness is a spirit. Not according to me. According to the word of God. If you have a spirit of bitterness, it manifests in your personality. OK, so the rebellious person also has what the Bible calls an embittered spirits. 21:11 Now listen, you weren't born that way. No baby was born bitter. What would that even look like? 21:26 They're not born that way. We weren't born that way. If you have noticed that you've become bitter, I don't even know if you'd even know. Today you will know you weren't born that way. OK? Something happened in your life. 21:42 Perhaps it was traumatic. Something happened that embittered you. Something made you bitter. But if you didn't let it go, then demons took advantage. 21:59 This is why we've got to take our wounds to the Lord. If we don't, demons take advantage of it. And all of a sudden, what started off as just a little bit of upset has gone bitter, and then it goes from being bitter to acidic, and then you're just generally toxic. 22:23 That's them taking advantage of an emotion that God gave to you. What does God say that we have to do with bitterness? 22:38 Hebrews chapter 12 verse 15. See to it that no one falls short of the grace of God, and that no root of bitterness springs up to cause trouble and defile many. 22:58 Amen to the word of God, I say. Now, the author of the book of Hebrews uses a bitter root or a root of bitterness as a metaphor for something that would bring harm to the church. 23:17 It's a warning. It's a warning. Make sure that no one slips in the faith. Wow, what a job on our shoulders to look after one another, to try our best to make sure that no one slips in the faith and misses out on God's grace. 23:39 Watch out for the root of bitterness that springs up to trouble you, the bitter person. And as a result of your bitterness, many get defiled or contaminated in their souls. 24:02 Did you? Did you hear that? Did can you see the word of God? Your bitterness that you think is under your jacket comes out of your mouth, comes out of your behaviour, and it has the power to defile and to contaminate the souls of others. 24:26 So if this Christian has just spent time with the Lord and you know they're just full of joy and they happen to fall into conversation with this bitter person, that joy won't be the same after they finished speaking with you. 24:43 If you are bitter, you have the power to contaminate a Christian spiritually according to the Word of God. You see, the root of bitterness is responsible for a lot of trouble in churches. 25:06 Find the person with the issue. It won't take long to see that they're bitter. I'm talking about causing trouble. 25:21 I'm talking about contaminating people. I'm talking about that. Find the individual, spend time speaking to them and you will see. 25:37 Bitterness is just like the roots of a tree. They run deep, and in fact, the roots of this tree isn't as deep as some roots go. Their issues are buried deep within them. 25:57 It's not even on the surface. It's so deep that it's become a part of their personality. The possibility of bearing nice fruit can't happen. 26:13 You see how pretty this fruit looks? You take a bite from the fruit of a bitter tree and you're eating a lemon. 26:32 In fact, some babies eat lemons and it's not bitter to them. All I can think of is this, this West Indian tea that my mum, my mum would make us drink sometimes. Bitters, bitter tea. Yeah, like that, that that's what it's like. 26:49 Who said Caroly? Who said Caroly? Oh, you're so West Indian. Caroly. Bush tea. That's the bitterness I'm talking about. They can't produce fruit that doesn't have that taste. 27:10 It's even if they fake it, it's not possible. Anyone that is bitter, you know what you have. And I'm speaking to everyone listening to me, not just in here. Whoever's going to be listening, You know what you have. 27:25 If you're bitter, you don't even know it. You have a sour attitude, you're easily vexed, you're resentful. And there is most certainly, without a shadow of a doubt, unforgiveness in your heart and anger along with other spirits in residence within you. 27:44 Also look at what Apostle Paul says in Ephesians chapter 4 verse 31. Get rid of all bitterness, rage and anger, outcry and slander, along with every form of malice. 28:04 Do you see what Apostle Paul did there? Maybe you haven't seen this before. He has grouped all of the demons that like to hang together in that party. If you've got a bitter person, you're going to have rage. If you've got rage, you're going to have anger. If you've got anger, you're going to have outcry. They're going to shout out. 28:21 They're just going to go just like that. And it those type of people tend to be slanderous. He has shown us a spiritual principle. It's something that deliverance ministers understand. 28:36 If somebody is troubled by a demon of anger, there are others with it, frustrations with it, rages with it. There's others in the party. Let me tell you now, demons don't walk alone. 28:56 It's not safe for them to do that. You might cotton on and change your ways. No, they move in gangs. Now I want to show you something else. 29:12 Psalm 68 verse 6 says God sets the solitary in families. He brings out those who are bound into prosperity, but the rebellious dwell in a dry lad. 29:34 I don't do it, but I know that in the past, from what I used to hear, deliverance ministers would sometimes send demons when they cast them out into the dry places. 29:50 So. So who's in the dry places then? Even if you don't buy that, if you're not going to make that connection, nothing grows in a dry place. And you remember last week we went through Psalm 115. 30:08 We talked about the fact that because of our ancestors or near relatives that practiced idolatry, they became like idols. They couldn't see, they can't hear Yahweh, they can't feel Yahweh, they can't manifest Yahweh. And that travels. 30:25 And look, look at what we're reading here, the rebellious dry in a dry land. If you're in a dry land, you're in permanent drought. If you're in permanent drought, nothing's growing. Nothing's growing. 30:44 Either make the tree good and its fruit good, or make the tree bad and its fruit bad, for the tree is known by its fruit. 31:06 Would you consider asking anyone in here after the service to tell you what your fruit tastes like? Would you go up to someone and say, can you tell me what my fruit tastes like please? 31:23 If they're honest, they might say I'm scared to tell you, or they might be absolutely honest and say your fruit is a little sharp, Your fruit is a little, oh, a little bit brash. 31:42 Your fruit is a little bit unfriendly. Your fruit is a little bit a little bit always angry. 31:49 Speaker 2 You know it's a good. 31:53 Speaker 1 Test if you can handle it to ask someone because we have conversations with people. So what do we taste like when we're speaking to you? Are you with me, right? This is the commandment of Jesus. 32:10 You have a choice. Make the tree good, your fruit will be good. Make the tree bad and your fruit will be bad. The conclusion is every tree will be known by its fruit. 32:29 Let me give you that another way. You never have to see my face. I may have only befriended you online. You may be in another country and I'm here. 32:47 And let's say we had this online friendship and we speak and we speak and we do. You know, if I speak to that person long enough, that person can say they know me even though they've never seen my face before. They've never seen me because what you know, first of all is the fruit. 33:05 Are you hearing me? You may never see a picture of me, but you can get to know me by what comes out of my mouth. 33:22 Which means we are spirit beings. And This is why demons want to live through you, because that's what people are affected by. So back to witchcraft. 33:45 The Bible links witchcraft with rebellion against God. It's idolatry. It's the invocation of spiritual forces. And there is a curse for idolatry that follows you, and your progeny follows according to the word of God. 34:10 To the third and 4th generation. The door is wide open to demonic oppression. Let's say you played with tarot cards. You played with the Ouija boards. You visited a fortune teller. 34:26 You were involved in the occult. You burned candles or sage, or you played with crystals, or you solicited the help of someone who practised it. You cast spells through a witch doctor or a white witch on the Internet. 34:53 If you did any of those things, you opened the door to a curse and demons had legal permission to enter your soul, and they had legal permission to enter your bloodline. 35:14 Even if it wasn't you. And let's say it was one of your parents, one of your near relatives, or your grandparents, or your great, great, great, great great grandparent. We have seen how curses travelled the bloodline, but I repented, I renounced it, I'd announced it. 35:39 I agree, because I remember when we did that as a church, if we were all in unity. But what did you do about the curse? That's a completely different matter. 35:56 Anything that's an abomination to God is cursed. What did you do about the curse? What did you do about the curse of witchcraft? And what did you do about the demons that have to be in your life to put the curse in effect? 36:12 What did you do about them? Because I have to tell you, I'm very sorry. Unless you had already learnt what you're learning in this series, whatever you try to do with them wasn't done. 36:31 I've taken my time to show this to you through the Word of God. OK, what about this? 36:48 What if this happened to one of your parents or your grandparents or great grandparents? What's going on there? That's a baby being dedicated to the Water God Ocean in Nigeria. 37:10 Why the water's dirty, I don't know, but that's the baby's dedication. And this wasn't filmed in 1921. 37:25 It was filmed a couple of years ago. So it's still going on. Of course, you're some of you are probably familiar with this, you know, it goes on. But what if that happened to one of your grandparents? 37:41 What if happened to your your father that he was dedicated in water like that to ocean? What do you think is travelling the bloodline now? I remember doing a group session. 38:02 Actually I ran a few group sessions on it. I ran a group session on modern day witchcraft. Basically I was sharing that manipulation, for instance, it's witchcraft, shall I say that again, and I was explaining that a lot of people are witches, they don't know it. 38:34 If you use manipulation, for example, you deliberately go quiet on someone. You do it on purpose because you know that they're going to eventually say what's wrong. And I have to be careful here because some people have a right to go quiet. 38:51 Sometimes it's worth going quiet if you know the argument is going to escalate and it's just going to go nuts. But some people use it as a weapon. Let me give you another modern one. You send a message to someone on WhatsApp and you delete it deliberately, knowing full well, again, I'm being careful because sometimes that can happen as an accident. 39:19 Some people use it deliberately because they know full well that the individual will message them and say, hey, hey, everything OK? And you're like, oh, thanks, thanks for messaging me. But you set it up. Do you know what you did? You cast a spell. 39:36 You made the person do that. And there are many other instances like that, many other things you can do to try and manipulate a situation. But if you're using manipulation, it's witchcraft. 39:55 Do we understand what I'm saying? OK, so I shared that in that group session and guess what? Many of us admitted. 40:11 To doing witchcraft in this manner. And guess what? In fact, the ones who did admit it. OK, guess what they did. They died to it. Hello. 40:26 Hello. Hello. Hello. Hello. Hello. Hello. Hello. Hello. They died to it. Demons can't live in a dead area. That's why the Word of God tells us to crucify the flesh. 40:46 So if they can't get me with manipulation, they've got to go next door. They've got to find someone else. I'm dead to it because I've crucified my flesh. And I can say that as one area. You're ladies. You remember the session, don't you? It was a she session. 41:02 From what I remember. The ones of you who admitted to having it, you put it to death. Only you would know if you raised it back up to life again. 41:17 But when you put a part of you to death, there is nothing for the demon to do. They can't control you. They just add to your character. 41:37 They add a little spice. They can't control you. Remember, you are owned by Jesus Christ. But if you die to that area today, what can they do? 41:56 Hallelujah. So let's have a think about this now. Are you using manipulation to get your own way? If you are, you're not alone. 42:14 You have the enlisted help of demonic entities to do this. You're not alone. Don't worry, you've got help. The Bible calls this the spirit of Jezebel. 42:30 I love this image. I grew up with it in one of the Bible story books, you know, the yellow book. And I used to look at this image and I used to think, what's wrong with her? Why does she look like that? What's actually going on? 42:46 It's a picture depicting Jezebel in the Bible. You can read all about her in First Kings and 2nd Kings. You all know about Jezebel, right? The Bible calls the queen manipulator or the male manipulator A Jezebel. 43:08 It's a controlling spirit. It's a spirit that doesn't mind causing trouble, especially in the church. In order to get its own way all right, it wants control. 43:24 It doesn't submit to God's laws or to His order, and it can exist in a man or a woman. Now Jesus speaks about this spirit in Revelation chapter 220. I'm not going to show you the verse. You can look at it yourself, but basically He called someone who calls themselves a prophetess Jezebel. 43:49 He says you put up with that woman who calls herself a prophetess called Jezebel. Now, we all know that there was no Jezebel in that particular church. So what Jesus is drawing our attention to is this. It's a huge lesson on the fact that a Christian can be oppressed by a demonic spirit that behaves like Queen Jezebel. 44:18 You understand what I'm saying? Yes, He didn't want this individual leading his people astray, but he's warning us about her characteristics, which were clearly demonic. 44:34 And those characteristics can be found in individuals in the church. This is a this is a very controlling spirit. It's a high level witchcraft spirit. 44:53 In fact, Queen Jezebel did practice witchcraft. She was unbelievably idolatrous. And this demon spirit, this demonic spirit works through manipulation and it refuses to submit, especially to church order. 45:16 Refuses. Refuses. Even if the only one not doing it, they can't help it. It's the spirit of Jezebel, and I can guarantee you, I can guarantee you this, that if Jezebel is hiding, the Ahab spirit isn't far. 45:37 What is the Ahab spirit? The Ahab spirit follows the nature of King Ahab, who Jezebel controlled. Oh yeah, both must be cast out. 45:54 They're living in. Do you? 45:56 Speaker 2 Want things your own? 45:57 Speaker 1 Way. Have you noticed that in your personality? Do you want things your own way or on the? 46:03 Speaker 2 Opposite side. This is how. 46:04 Speaker 1 We know if you're suffering from the Ahab spirit or are you being controlled. 46:12 Speaker 2 Would you even know? Would you even know? Oh. 46:18 Speaker 1 No, no, I wouldn't say. I wouldn't say she controls me. I'd just say she really cares about me. You know, I was. Would you even know? No. 46:28 Speaker 2 No, this is a fair question. 46:31 Speaker 1 And then any domineering women, would you know that you're domineering? Would you know these things are very good at setting up home in our personalities. 46:46 Speaker 2 But I need to say this if you are one that. 46:50 Speaker 1 Has dabbled in the occult. 46:54 Speaker 2 You also need to cast. 46:56 Speaker 1 Out the demon that has attached itself to your personality. What do I mean by that? What do I mean by that? 47:08 Speaker 2 The emotion. 47:10 Speaker 1 That was present when you went to see the witch doctor, or why you wanted your palm read, or why you went to see the fortune teller, or why you followed Horoscopes needs to be cast out. 47:31 Speaker 2 What do I mean what? 47:34 Speaker 1 Was the overriding emotion that made you see the witch doctor? I don't remember. Yes, you do, Yes. 47:43 Speaker 2 You do. 47:46 Speaker 1 Yes, you. 47:46 Speaker 2 Do Was it jealousy? 47:48 Speaker 1 If it was, you have the spirit of jealousy now. 47:54 Speaker 2 Was it the fear of. 47:56 Speaker 1 Losing someone, this one's easy. This could be down to anything. You have the spirit of fear. You have the spirit. 48:05 Speaker 2 Of control. 48:07 Speaker 1 You have the spirit of low self esteem. They're all demons by the way. You have the spirit of guilt or you have the spirit of rejection. Do. 48:19 Speaker 2 You understand what I'm saying? 48:21 Speaker 1 Something something moved you to do. 48:26 Speaker 2 What you did? 48:29 Speaker 1 Why? 48:30 Speaker 2 Did you cast a? 48:31 Speaker 1 Spell through the Internet. Why did you buy it online? What was the reason? Was it because you wanted to get rich? If that was the reason, the emotion, The demon behind it was Mammon. 48:47 Speaker 2 What made you? 48:48 Speaker 1 Go to another God. You understand what I'm saying?
