Freedom: The Hour of Deliverance Session 3 pt. 2 - Sue Neil

This teaching explores how demons operate as persons without bodies who seek to inhabit humans and live out their desires through them. The speaker explains that God provides two spiritual gifts, discerning of spirits and the word of knowledge, to help identify demonic activity. Every demon has a name, just as every star and created thing has a name, as confirmed in Psalm 147:3-4 and Job 38:7. Demons require legal rights to enter and stay, and their primary mission is to prevent Christians from becoming effective servants of God. They can manipulate body signals, produce tiredness, and live their filthy desires through unsuspecting believers, including desires for inappropriate entertainment, food, and activities. The speaker emphasizes that constant strife and arguments in homes are not normal but evidence of evil work according to James 3:16. Satan strategically offers gifts and promotions that consume time and hinder spiritual effectiveness. True worship from the heart damages demons, though they endure it by clinging on. The teaching encourages self-examination, noting that even King David looked for evidence of demons within himself. Believers must recognize that demons are bullies who oppress, tempt, entice, harass, and torment, and they should not accept such conditions as normal life.

0:10 Aside from dreams, is there any other way that God speaks to us? Is there any other way? Yeah, There are two gifts of the Holy Spirit that we can find in First Corinthians chapter 12. We're not going to look at it today. 0:25 There are two gifts of the Holy Spirit deliberately given to certain people to deal with this sort of thing. What are those gifts? The discerning of spirits. 0:40 And what's the other one? The word of knowledge. Did you know that the gift of discernment is for spirits? It's not for the suspicion of people, it's to discern what kind of demon is playing about in the church, what kind of demon, what kind of spirit is messing about with some of God's children. 1:11 That's what it's for, the discernment of spirits, not human behaviour, spirits. And then there's the gift of the Word of knowledge. 1:26 The Lord can tell someone there, and then there is an evil spirit of something over there, and that's that. These are what the gifts are for. The Word of knowledge isn't so that the person can become puffed up because they know your every move before you've even done it. 1:44 The gifts are to help the church to thrive and to serve God effectively here on the earth. There are other things that should alert us for the presence of demons, but I can't deal with them now. 2:01 But let's remind ourselves today that demons are persons without bodies. Demons are persons without bodies, and they can only come in and stay if they have a legal right. 2:19 Every single one of them has a name. I have to teach you this because somebody, one of us, somebody who attends college, experienced that. Last week, the name of a demon revealed itself. 2:37 Does this surprise you? Tell me if you're surprised. Every single one of these demons, every fallen Angel, everything has a name. 2:55 Remember, Jesus asked the demon what his name was. Do you really think Jesus didn't know who was in there? He did that because his ministry was also daily teaching exercises for his disciples. 3:15 So it may look like he didn't know much, but he was doing it to teach His disciples. And we're taught today, and sometimes he will reveal the name of a demon. I'm teaching you this so that for those of you who have signed up for Deliverance, when it happens, or if it happens to someone sitting beside you, don't run out the door, Don't be surprised that they have names. 3:44 Everything that God created has a name. Everything that God created had a name has a name. Look at Psalm. Wow, look at that spelling. Yeah, yeah, I got to wow that one, man. 4:07 That's something. OK. Psalm 147, verses 3 to 4. What have we got? He heals the broken hearted and binds up their wounds. He determines the number of the stars and he gives to all of them their names. 4:35 Every single star that you see in the sky, and we can't actually see much of them anymore because of light pollution. Every single star that you see, according to the word of God, has a name. Can you imagine that? I mean, that shouldn't surprise you. 4:51 The Bible talks about clusters of stars called polities, and then there's clusters of stars called Orion, the Orion belt. You're familiar. Yes, right. So this shouldn't surprise you. And why did I show you both verses? 5:07 Because you can't believe one without the other. Jesus either heals the broken hearted and binds up their wounds and hasn't given names to all the stars, or the other way around. Which way do you want it? 5:23 You can't pick and choose what kind of truth you want to eat. You got to eat. This is to build up your faith. And then we see in Job chapter 38 verse 7 when the morning stars sung together, sang together, and all the sons of God shouted for joy. 5:49 Since when do stars sing? Anyone ever heard of a singing *? They don't sing, Angels sing. 6:07 OK, I'm showing you this first to show you that God uses the word stars as a metaphor for angels. OK, and the reason why I'm speaking about the fact that everything has a name. 6:24 You have to understand that demons have names as well. That shouldn't surprise you. You've heard of Lucifer. You've heard of Apollyon. The destroying Angel in the Book of Revelation shouldn't surprise you. 6:43 And there are others. There are others. They weren't created fallen. They fell after they all had names and even if they are the spirits of dead Nephilim, don't you think that those hybrid creatures had names? 7:07 We understand from the Bible that Goliath was a giant. He had a name. He wasn't called thing. So sometimes when the Holy Spirit wants to get real personal and wants to deal with the thing that's bothering you, sometimes he'll deal with it by name, sometimes he will deal with it by occupation. 7:33 It really does depend on who's hiding there. But I'm showing you in the Word of God that what we're doing is biblical. OK, All right. So these persons without bodies are desperate to get into a body. 7:55 They want to get into a body. If there's any hanging around outside right now and they don't have a body, they're going to see if they can move in with you. They will not say, oh, Christian, Christian, let me run. No, no, it's Christian. 8:12 Christian, let me follow to see if there'll be an open door. Understand that, Understand that we're not Jesus. We have His Spirit living in us, but we are not Jesus. 8:28 They tremble at the name of Jesus, and they tremble and respect those who have a lot of Jesus manifesting his power through them. Let's face it, when we're walking to our car, electricity bolts aren't coming out of us of the Holy Spirit. 8:51 Now can we just be honest? I don't want to do this pretend Christian thing. When you're waiting for a train, you're not shaking like this saying, Oh no, you're waiting for the train. You're pretty human the last time they checked. 9:09 So they follow and look for an opportunity. You're a potential house. That's OK. Now, as I said, their preference is a human body, but if they can't find one of those, a pig will do. 9:24 A pig will be OK. Let's settle for a pig or any other animal. Any kind of flesh is what they desire, but human flesh tops the list. OK, what do they want? What do they want? 9:39 Jesus told us about the end result. The end result of what they do is that they steal, they kill and they destroy. But what is it that they're after all right? 9:56 They want a home. But why bother a Christian? Why bother a Christian knowing that there's a big risk of them being found out and chucked out? 10:12 What's the point? Why does their commander tell them to go after us? I'll tell you why. They keep the minds of humans in general blinded to the one true God and the Gospel. 10:36 Yeah, that's their job. And blinded to the gospel of Jesus Christ. Am I making that up? No. Ephesians chapter 2, verse 2. You used to live in sin just like the rest of the world, obeying the devil, the commander of the powers in the unseen world. 11:00 He is the Spirit at work in the hearts of those who refuse to obey God. He is the Spirit at work in the hearts of those who refuse to obey God. 11:22 If you're a Christian, then their main objective is to keep you from being an effective Christian. Their main objective is to keep you or to stop you from being an effective Christian. 11:41 Can we be real? There are Christians and there are effective Christians. The devil works hard as the commander of the powers that he then delegates. 12:01 He works hard to make sure that you don't become an effective Christian. An effective Christian isn't just one who comes to church every week. Demons come to church every week. 12:19 Demons come to church every week. Yeah, all right. Worship hurts them. Hurts them when we sing about Jesus, definitely hurts them. But it only hurts them when you're truly worshiping. 12:39 And even then, if you're truly worshipping, guess what they do? They just hang on tighter, knowing that it will be over in a minute. We haven't got long to go. They normally finish at 11:10. Just hang on. Just hang on. Oh, this is painful. This is painful. But just hang on. 12:56 It will soon be over. Elder Ronke will come up on the stage. Yes. Let's listen to these announcements. 13:14 But it's true. It's true worship bothers them. If you're truly worshiping. But you should know that. So don't think, oh, as long as I just get in for worship, everything will be fine. 13:29 No, no, no. Jesus has already told us that man looks at the appearance, but God looks at the heart. If the worship is coming from the heart, it's doing damage. 13:46 You can even get healed. They can even drop off completely and run. But if you're not doing it unto God, what's there for Him to inhabit? 14:02 What's there for Him to come into? Remember, the glory comes and fills the temple. It's not there all the time. Hello anyone? And I guarantee you if his glory fills your temple, things are dropping off. 14:25 Things are dropping off in Jesus name. Hallelujah. An effective Christian makes dents in the Kingdom of darkness. An effective Christian is a servant of the Lord. 14:45 An effective Christian serves the Lord. Look at their fruit. You will see the difference between a Christian. Oh, you can be the most sincere Christian on the planet. 15:01 Really, really sincere. But that doesn't make you an effective Christian. An effective Christian. Learn this today, please. Is a servant. Most of our service to God is supposed to happen in prayer. 15:21 Did you know that God expects it in His house? God expects service in his house. How do I know that? 15:39 Because man would rather not serve in God's house. He chose an entire tribe to do it, and they didn't have a choice. The Levites, He said no, you guys, you will never have a job. You'll never work. 15:55 Anything you have will come from me. I will be your portion. You are going to work for me. You're going to carry equipment in church. You're going to set up the tent in church. You're going to open the doors in church. You're going to lock the doors After everyone's finished in church, you're going to be the last person to go home. 16:13 Yes, you, tribe of Levite. I'm choosing you because if I left you to choose me to do it, you'd say no. And then there's prayer. 16:30 Our Father said, our God said, My house shall be a House of prayer for all nations. Are you a servant of God? Think about this. When is the last time you interceded for someone else apart from yourself? 16:51 God wants to be served and He wants us to be His servants. It should bother every single one of us. If we don't have something going on in our lives that we can say is service on to God. It should bother you. 17:08 It should bother you because you have a very real enemy that wants to tear God's house down to pieces. This is why Jesus told them from the off at the start of the race, the gates of hell will not prevail against the church. 17:28 They're going to try, but they won't win. And we can't be the vehicles that they use to help tear down what God has built up. 17:43 Do we agree? All right, back to the subject at hand. If they're in you, they can produce tiredness, lethargy, and they can make you get up and do something that they want to do. 18:07 I don't think you heard what I said. If they're in you, they can manipulate your body signals. One minute you're full of energy and the next minute you're not. 18:22 And you're thinking I was fine a minute ago. Where's this come from? They can manipulate your body signals. They can play with your health. I'll go into that more next week, God willing. But I want to tell you, they can produce movements in you to stop you from doing godly things. 18:48 They can make you get up and do something they want to do rather than you put in God first. They can also give you the energy to do it and make you think that it was God giving you the energy. 19:10 They can make you think it was God giving you the strength. They can do this because they're living their desires through you. Listen, it's them that wants to see your boyfriend. It's them that wants to see your girlfriend. 19:26 They live their filthy desires through you. If they're living in you, they're the ones that want to go to the gym every 10 seconds. 19:41 They're the ones they feel great. They're Do you not know the history of the gym? Do you not know that the word gym comes from the Greek word gymnos, and gymnos means naked. Do you not know that they used to work out naked? And do you know that they used to do that in honour of the gods? 20:03 Why don't your demons cry? Cry. So I don't want to go gym. I don't want. We're not going gym. We're not going gym. I don't care what you do. We're not going gym. Why are they so happy? This is a very spiritual world that we're living in. There is nothing wrong with working out. 20:20 As Apostle Paul said, there are certain things that are very beneficial for the body. But can they say that you're more of a servant to them than God? 20:36 This is the thing, right? Remember, they want to live their desires through you. They are persons without bodies. It's them that wants to watch that movie with the R rating of 45. 20:52 It's them that wants to watch that filthy music. It's them that wants to live scrolling on their phones or the it's them doing it through you. It's them that wants a whole bottle of Brandy instead of a it's them that wants it. 21:18 You need to realise this. They love video games that they play through you for hours. You need to accept what that verse says. 21:35 He is the spirit at work in the hearts of those who refuse to obey God. So what makes you think that he's still not the commander of the powers in you, stopping you from doing what God wants you to do? 21:54 Oh, and don't worry, they're perfectly fine with you fasting every week that don't bother them. Satanists drive fast for days. They're not afraid of your fast. That doesn't do anything to them. You've got the world fasting now. Yeah. Yeah, I'm fasting. I'm fasting. 22:18 You think fasting bothers them? The world will do it for 2-3 days straight. You do your little 12 hours and you you think you've climbed to heaven? 22:38 You want more? Give more. There'll be nothing without a sacrifice. Nothing. Absolutely nothing. 22:53 I'm just trying to tell you about your enemies. They're not afraid of you. They're not afraid of you. If you knew about what these demons are capable of doing to you or to your loved ones or to your household, you'd want them out. 23:14 You'd want them out. They're the real destructive tenants from hell. They're the ones you got to worry about. 23:29 They're the ones you can be a true Christian who has a daily, consistent relationship with the Lord. But something, something, these are, this is for you guys who still aren't sure you know, you don't know, you don't really know how to untangle this feeling that comes over you from time to time. 23:52 You can be a true Christian. You have daily, consistent fellowship with the Lord. It can be said that you have a relationship with your Lord. OK, but something torments you. 24:08 Sometimes your thoughts overwhelm you. Something keeps happening in your life that bothers you. You keep doing something that would embarrass or humiliate you should anyone find out. 24:29 You feel like a slave to some kind of habit or to some kind of negative outcome. Literally, you feel like a slave to a particular type of negative outcome. Sometimes you can even call it before it's even happened. 24:45 You can say that's going to happen. It's not going to work for me because you know the pattern well. Why are we accepting that? Why are we slaves to these outcomes? 25:01 How when Jesus said he's come to do the complete opposite? John 1010. They've come to steal, kill and destroy, but I have come that you might and have it more. No matter what you do, you pray, you OfferUp your fasting. 25:20 Don't get me wrong, if what you OfferUp is sincere, the Lord receives it as an offering. He does receive it as an offering, but if you're looking to receive a particular spiritual gift that you know the Lord has promised you and it's just not coming through, it will cost you more sometimes. 25:37 And it will also make sense for you to make sure that something is not within you blocking it. No matter what you do, it's still there or it shows up from time to time. Look, if David, King David looked for evidence of a demon within him, why can't you? 25:58 Oh, you're all kings, isn't it? Why are you so good? Why are you so high? What is so great about you that is stopping you from investigating yourself? 26:14 If you woke up tomorrow morning and you found a big lump on your arm all of a sudden and this lump was oozing purple liquid and then there were hairs growing out of it that were multi coloured. Do you think you just put your shirt on or your topping and say, I ain't got time for that, I've got to go to work? 26:40 You'd be like, you'd be like, what? What? What? What? Oh, hello. Hi. I'm just letting you know I'll be I'll be in a bit late. There's something I've got to tend to. Yeah. This this madness. Would you do something about it? 26:56 Would you show it to someone? And everyone in my house would. Poor mothers, they get shown everything, right? You've got to have the stomach to handle whatever it is they're showing you. 27:13 So this thing is oozing out some stuff. You're not going to ignore it. You know what? You know what you're going to say? There's something wrong with me. But the enemy wants us to enslave us. 27:29 He wants to enslave us to the thinking that whatever's going on within us is normal. What's the problem? Just get on with it. Just a little mishap. Well, every day, it's OK. 27:45 Every day, every time I need for something to happen, it doesn't. Yeah. Just get on with life. At least you're alive. No, Jesus didn't say at least you're alive, He said I've come to give you. 28:01 I've come to give you life because the life you've been living has been all messed up by these demons. I want them out of you and I want you to experience abundant life. Hallelujah, Hallelujah. 28:19 But can I just say perhaps some of you have done some investigation and the conclusion you have on what's going on within you is that you don't have any. You don't have any demons. That's that's absolutely fine for now. You don't have any for now. 28:35 And and that can happen. Perhaps you've already seen a deliverance minister, perhaps you've already been through deliverance. Who am I to say that you're not all clear? It is God's hope for us to be all clear. So perhaps you're a little ahead of us and you've already done that. 28:50 Greg, can I just ask you to check something else? What about constant arguments in your home? Or what about constant arguments with other people? Oh, that's natural. That's natural. 29:07 That's natural. People fight. They fight often, you know that's not evidence of having a demon. Oh really? 29:23 Oh really? James chapter 316. For where envying and strife is, there is confusion. 29:39 And every evil work. I'm sorry, but who's doing the evil work? Who, who, who? Let's break this first down, OK? Because this is an area that Satan has managed to do a lot of damage in, and we just put it down to life. 30:01 That's how people are, that's how families are, that's how it is. I didn't find it normal when Ren and Dre would fight over the remote control for TV. I didn't find that normal. 30:17 I never found it normal. And it would be real fighting. I'm sure that was the day he punched you in your belly. Was that the day? No, I'm talking real fighting. Sarah and Ladie. You got that to come. You just had two kids. 30:32 Anyone else got kid? More than one child. Coretta. Is Coretta in here? Right? You guys know what it is to have children fighting over stuff. Don't treat it as normal. Don't treat it as normal. Pay attention to it. 30:49 Don't treat it as normal. It's not normal. It's what Charlie used to do. Find someone and give them a bite. It's not normal to bite. It's not. We've got to pay attention to these things. 31:04 So what are we biting for? Why can't we talk? Anyway? I'm just trying to draw your attention to paying attention to how the enemy works in your homes. All right, I want to tell you about the word envying. 31:25 You see this verse, James 316? For where envying and strife is, there is confusion and every evil word. Can I just draw your attention to the word envying? Envying is translated from the Greek word zeo. It's pronounced zeo and it's definition means to boil burning emotion and in a feeling of boiling over, boiling from heat. 31:52 It's the emotional type of heat that leads to the word strife. In case you're wondering why the word envying is there and then strife. Unfortunately, that's just what the translators chose to use. 32:07 But I'm telling you what the Greek word behind the word envying means. OK? It's the emotional type of heat that leads to the word strife. Now let's look at the word strife. Strife is translated from the Greek word acasta sarsia, agka tastasia. 32:31 Don't just listen to me say it, it's not easy. Is it agka tastasia? We've looked at this in Bible study before. Anyway, the definition of that word is disturbances, commotion, confusion, disorder, or tumors. 32:54 I've emboldened the word tumult because I want you to pay attention to what that word means. In itself. It means a loud noise, uproar, ruckus, shouting, or screaming. Now let's finish the verse. 33:12 For where you'll only win if you believe the truth, because there's only the truth that will make you free. 33:46 The Bible tells us here that the enemy can outwit us in order that Satan should not outwit us, for we are not unaware of his schemes. Well, guess what? Let's be honest, we have been unaware. 34:02 We've been unaware that madness in our house is actually the work of evil. We've accepted what the world says, you know? And if we could have, I don't know if that was our thing, you'd bring in a super nanny, the one to make the children behave. 34:21 But if we believe the word of God, it'll be like, this is the work of evil. This is the work of evil. We're not having this in this house in the name of Jesus. It's up to you. 34:38 It's up to you, but don't be outwitted. Apostle Paul could say we are not unaware of his schemes. I have to say that Christians today are unaware of his schemes. Come on. We should be honest about it. We are unaware of his schemes, but we're learning the best way for the enemy to do what they want to do within us is to hide the fact that they have access to our lives. 35:12 They don't want you to know that they have access to your life. You know what they'll do. They'll make sure your life is good. Yeah. Just because life is good right now doesn't mean that the enemy doesn't have one of his minions hiding within you or following you everywhere you go. 35:34 What? But isn't life being good a sign of, you know, freedom from those things? Satan offered Jesus everything if he would only bow down and worship Him. 35:56 Satan gives gifts. We Christians, we know better and we'll say every good gift comes from our Father in heaven. We will bless him and praise him for it. When you go deeper with me into this subject, you will understand that Satan will do whatever it takes to stop you from being an effective Christian. 36:23 How real can you be? You're not ready. You will be in a couple of weeks. You'll be with me in a couple of weeks. Sometimes he will see to it that you have that promotion that costs you 150 hours a week. 36:43 He will see to it because it will stop you from being an effective Christian and eating all that pizza because you can't. You ain't got time to cook no more, but open you up to a whole load of other things. 37:00 I'm really sorry, but Jesus said you will know them by their fruit. So if God has blessed you with that promotion and you're slipping, you're slipping in your Christian business, you want to check that. 37:18 You want to check that Satan offered Jesus the world? All of this will be yours. He understands human nature. He understands that some of us want the assets more than being able to speak in tongues. 37:40 He knows human nature. Just be aware that he should not outwit us. God can bless you with the promotion but from when you see it's 150 hours you should be like no in Jesus name this is going to be 36. 38:06 Why are you accepting it in Jesus name? Because I've got to be a servant to my God. I've got to pray for people that I don't know. I've got to spend time reading the Word so that I've got something to praise so that the high priest of my confession can move on. 38:27 Something that I say. I got work to do. Where you going with 150 hours? It's up to you. It's entirely up to you. 38:48 I understand this as well. Some demons come and go. Look I've been having it out with people telling me they ain't got no demons. Say to them when was your last deliverance session? I haven't had one. So Peter can have a demon. 39:10 Poor Mary Magdalene can have 7. The Jews, the chosen people of God, were the ones that Jesus cast demons out. Oh, no, no, no, no. But you, you can't have none. No, no, no, no, no. 39:27 You can't have none. I ain't got time to argue with anyone any more, OK? We prayed for God to shine light on them. Things should have started to come to light unless you rejected the prayer, unless you rejected the prayer that we prayed in session one. 39:53 Unless you have rejected the evidence that God has sent to you. Next week, God willing, we're going to look at what demons do in detail. But for now, I want you to know that demons are bullies. 40:11 They oppress. They tempt and they entice. They harass and demons torment.

Summary:

FAQs

Demons can manipulate body signals, so watch for abrupt changes with no natural cause: one minute you are full of energy and the next you are not, or you feel driven to do something ungodly. If the shift pushes you away from prayer, service, or godly priorities, treat it as suspicious.

They endure worship because they know it will soon end, and they hold on tighter until the service finishes. Worship only damages them when it comes from the heart, so outward singing alone does not drive them out.

No. Demons are not afraid of fasting itself; even Satanists fast for days. Fasting only helps when it is sincere and part of a life of real service and prayer, not as a mechanical technique.
