Freedom - The Hour of Deliverance Session 3 pt. 1 - Sue Neil
from Walk Through the Word with Sue Neil
0m 0s
This teaching from Freedom Session 3 centers on Mark 16:14-20, where Jesus commissions believers to proclaim the gospel and promises that signs will accompany them, beginning with casting out demons. The speaker stresses that demonic presence is not always obvious through dramatic behavior; demons can hide quietly in a person's soul or flesh. Using Job 33:14-18, the teaching explains that God sometimes allows terrifying dreams as warnings to turn people from sin, expose pride, or prevent them from perishing. Demonic harassment at night is presented as real, with examples including dreams of being chased, animals, sexual encounters with someone resembling a spouse, ex-partners, and violence. Sexual dreams involving a spouse or ex may point to soul ties or demonic activity requiring deliverance, and violent dreams can reveal suppressed anger or violent thoughts. Believers are told to take every thought captive because demons plant thoughts. The speaker emphasizes that Jesus commanded casting out demons, not counseling or praying them out, and that deliverance requires personal agreement. Finally, demons are shared in marriage because spouses become one flesh, so refusing deliverance while a spouse seeks it is described as selfish.

Proclaiming the Gospel: Mark 16 and Casting Out Demons
This is Freedom Session 3.
Hallelujah.
I'd like you please to turn your Bibles to Mark chapter 16 and please find verse 14.
0:29
We're going to read it through to verse 20.
You need your Bibles for this one.
It's not going to be up on the screen.
Afterward, he appeared to the 11 themselves as they were reclining at table, and he rebuked them for their unbelief and hardness of heart because they had not believed those who saw him after he had risen.
0:51
And he said to them, Go into all the world and proclaim the gospel to the whole creation.
Whoever believes and is baptized will be saved, but whoever does not believe will be condemned.
1:19
And these signs will accompany those who believe in My name.
They will cast out demons, they will speak in new tongues, they will pick up serpents with their hands, and if they drink any deadly poison, it will not hurt them.
1:45
They will lay their hands on the sick, and they will recover.
So then the Lord Jesus, after he had spoken to them, was taken up into heaven and sat down at the right hand of God, and they went out and preached everywhere, while the Lord worked with them and confirmed the message by accompanying sides.
2:16
Amen to the Word of God.
Amen to the Word of God.
Amen to the Word of God.
Hallelujah.

Recognizing Demons: Not Always Obvious, God's Dream Warnings
Just because your head doesn't spin around every day at lunchtime doesn't mean that you don't have a demon.
Just because your eyes don't roll backwards when you get up first thing in the morning doesn't mean that you don't have a demon harassing you.
2:52
Just because you don't feel heavy, you feel rather light in yourself, doesn't mean that you don't have a demon hiding in your life somewhere.
Just because you don't growl on those Zoom work calls doesn't mean that you don't have a demon or demons hiding in your soul somewhere or hiding in your flesh.
3:29
How would we even know if there are any demons or any particular type of demon anyway?
How would we know if there's one around us, if there's one within us, if there's one that comes and goes?
3:46
I mean, surely we could expect the Lord Jesus to tell us.
Would that be too much to ask?
Would it be too much to ask the Father to help us to see or to know?
Or is He leaving it all down to us to try and find out about these things?
4:11
We praise God because God does speak Job 33 verses 14 to 18.
That's what we're going to read.
For God speaks in one way and in two, though man does not perceive in a dream, in a vision of the night, when deep sleep falls on men while they slumber on their beds.
4:44
Then he opens the ears of men and terrifies them with warnings, terrifies them with warnings.
Not every dream that terrifies you is of the devil.
5:07
And why does he terrify us with warnings in our dreams?
Sometimes for three reasons.
Number one, that he may turn man aside from his deed, something he's planned to do or do in or to concealed pride from a man.
5:27
He keeps back his soul from the pit through these terrifying dreams sometimes, and his life from perishing by the sword.
Have you ever read that before?
5:50
Have you ever seen this like this before?
That our loving Father would allow us to be terrified in our dreams, in all those dreams that you get up and rebuke.
Our God is allowing us to be terrified in our dreams in order to alert us to something or to warn us to something.
6:12
Either to pay attention to our lifestyles, or to stop us from being prideful, or to prevent us from being sent to the pit because of our deeds that we won't repent for and to warn us about danger.
6:29
Sometimes our God allows things to happen to us in our dreams to alert us to the presence of demons within all that visit the enemy plays of our subconscious, the enemy plays of our imagination, especially when we're asleep.
6:59
Best time to do it.
Best time for them to do it.
Because when we're asleep we can't do much about it.
And that's why God speaks to us in dreams as well, because we can't answer back and we can't reject it.
7:19
We can't say, what did you say?
What did you say?
Oh, that probably wasn't you speaking.
I rebuke that voice in Jesus name.
Better you be asleep and be terrified for you to pay attention.
Praise God if we get dreams because the enemy has even seen to it that we don't get dreams.
7:43
Oh, they can do that.
Oh, and worse still, you've had a dream and you know it was a nice dream, some sort of nice dream.
You do your best to remember it.
What can you remember?
Do you really think that that's God's plan?
7:59
Did you not?
Did you not read what the prophet Joel said?
That in the last days when God pours out his spirit upon male and females, the sign of him having done so would be that they would dream dreams and they would have visions.
8:19
So if that's not going on in your life, that's something that needs challenging in the name of Jesus.
But anyway, back to what I was saying.
Some of us do have dreams and some of us have been terrified in our dreams and we wonder why God won't do something about it.
8:37
He's trying to, He's trying to tell you about things that are living in your soul or in your spirit that needs to come out.
8:50
Understanding Demonic Harassment Through Nighttime Dreams
Demonic harassment at night is real.
Now, I'm not going to be just talking about this today.
I'm just touching on it just to let some of you know that I am well aware that we are waiting for our God to help us with these night things that we go through.
9:09
I'm just letting you know demonic harassment at night is real.
Being chased in your dreams.
Dreams about animals.
9:25
I'm going somewhere here.
Hold on to your seats.
Sex in your dreams.
Sex in your dreams with someone that looks like your wife, that's like your wife.
9:40
Sex in your dream with your husband that weren't your husband but it was my husband that looks exactly like him.
No, your husband was fast asleep.
He wasn't doing anything to you, but it really felt real.
9:56
It felt like it was him.
Oh, I'm sure it did, but it wasn't him and it wasn't your wife.
So I'm telling you now straight, if the enemy has allowed you to entertain those sexual dreams with your wife or your husband, stop it.
10:17
And if you can't stop it, you need deliverance because it's not your wife, it's a demon.
I'm sorry, I'm just getting straight to the point today.
Is that all right?
OK, An ex-boyfriend in your dream?
10:36
An ex-girlfriend in your dream.
Could God be trying to tell us something there?
Yeah.
He's trying to tell you that there's still some kind of soul tie.
10:51
You don't think he can look after his children?
You don't think that he can see what's going on while we're sleeping?
But you just read in the book of Job, you just read that he uses dreams sometimes to terrify us and he'll allow them to happen to share something with us.
11:17
Violence in your dreams, anyone?
Violence, I mean hardcore violence, people getting killed, people getting run over.
You know, the the sort of things that you wouldn't even want to watch on TV.
Violence in your dreams when I know the reason for that.
11:35
Do you suppress anger during the day?
Do you suppress violent thoughts during the day?
Have you ever had to suppress a thought of wanting to do something to someone?
11:55
Depends on the day.
You say it doesn't matter.
To the demons it doesn't matter.
It doesn't matter.
What are you trying to say?
The demon hear my thoughts.
The demons plant thoughts.
That's why the Bible tells us to take captive every thought.
12:20
They plant thoughts.
Not every thought is yours.
Not every voice that you hear is yours.
God is trying to show us what He wants us to deal with.
Imagine that every now and again you keep having a dream about your ex every now and again and you're like, this is ridiculous.
12:41
This is ridiculous.
I don't want to dream about them.
I don't.
Well, God is OK with you dreaming about them because he's trying to tell you.
But I've already broken the salt.
I've already broke.
But did the demon of the salt I get cast out?
13:03
You hear where I'm coming from?
13:05
Jesus' Command: Why We Must Cast Out Demons
What was the first thing Jesus told His disciples to do in the passage we just read in Mark 16 from verse 17?
What was the first thing He told them would happen because they believe in His name?
13:23
That they would cast out demons?
This has to be done.
You know why?
It's prohibiting you from serving God properly.
Now we can control what happens during the day to a point.
13:39
But the night, the night realm while you're out for the cow, you sleep.
They don't.
13:55
But God promises us that he neither slumbers, neither does he sleep, and he's promised us that he's greater.
Well, why can't God just deal with them then?
If he's he's great and he's my father, He can see what's going on.
Why can't he deal with it?
14:13
Because he told us to do it.
Is it OK that he created the heavens and the earth?
I don't know.
Is it OK that you have life?
Is that OK?
I mean, is it OK that you have freedom?
14:28
Is it one of the reasons why demons have to be casted out?
Well, you'll learn today.
But one of the reasons why he told us to do it is because not everyone wants to lose their demons.
14:45
Not everyone wants to lose their demons.
Some people believe they have personal angels and these angels are their spirit guides and these spirit guides will even give them the numbers to the lottery if they ask for it.
15:01
I can't back that up in the Bible.
Apart from finding something that says familiar spirit, that's about all I can offer you.
They're demons.
They do not mean you well whatsoever.
15:20
We praise God that He has given us a commandment.
He said go and do it in my name and there's nothing more to add to that, OK?
He didn't say counsel them out.
He didn't say pray them out.
15:38
He didn't say speak them out.
He didn't say stand on their head out.
He said cast them out.
You don't even need a loud voice to do it.
They just have to know that you're serious.
15:53
Those who God has called.
Sorry, I need to make that clear.
16:01
Personal Agreement and Marital Unity in Deliverance
And can I just say no deliverance unless you agree that you need deliverance?
No deliverance because Pastor Sue said deliverance because you know you need it.
That's how this works.
16:17
They went to Jesus.
He ever wondered how the demon possessed or the demon oppressed got to Jesus?
Do you think people carried them?
You ever wondered how those encounters happened?
16:35
The people who were oppressed by them have their own faculties to a point.
They're allowed to live through their own personality to a point.
And it's while they were doing that that they were able to seek freedom.
16:54
And it's when they got to Jesus.
What happened then?
The demons manifested and that's what we need happening.
Oh, we need it.
Well, not for everyone, but for those of you who know you need it.
17:11
As I said, no deliverance unless you need deliverance.
Is that OK?
We praise God for this truth.
Can I just say as well, married people, you know, the most selfish thing that could happen in a marriage is one spouse believes they need deliverance and they go ahead and have deliverance and the other spouse says they don't need it.
17:43
Demons are shared in marriage.
The Bible says you become one flesh, whether they're your personal demons or not, they're shared.
18:00
They will affect you somehow.
It is really unfair for a spouse, for a husband or a wife.
If the opposite is desperate for deliverance and they say not for me, mate, that's for you.
18:16
How selfish.
So it's a right to be one in every other aspect.
But you don't want to share your demons?
No, God says you will be 1 flesh, so whatever lives in their flesh will live in yours.

FAQs
Job 33:14-18 shows God uses terrifying nighttime warnings to turn people from wrong deeds, conceal pride, keep their soul from the pit, and alert them to danger. Not every frightening dream is from the devil.
It may indicate a lingering soul tie that still needs to be broken. Even if you have already broken the soul tie, the demon associated with it may still need to be cast out.
Because Jesus explicitly commanded believers to cast them out in His name. He did not say counsel, pray, speak, or stand on their head out—He said cast them out.
No. You do not need a loud voice; the demons simply have to know that you are serious. Authority in Jesus' name matters more than volume.
Demons are shared in marriage because the Bible says spouses become one flesh. It is selfish for one spouse to pursue deliverance while the other says they do not need it.
No. Deliverance requires personal agreement—no one can be delivered simply because someone else says they need it. The demon-oppressed must seek freedom for themselves.
