Five BOLD Takes for the Rest of the College Football Season | The BFW Show 10.19.26
1h 19m 36s
Brandon Walker’s Monday night college football segment features bold, speculative takes on the upcoming postseason, centered on the SEC’s volatile landscape. He argues that Notre Dame, despite a weak schedule, could qualify for the playoff at 10–2 due to a new top-12 rule, sparking controversy over fairness and independence. Walker believes only Georgia and Tennessee will reach the 10–2 threshold in the SEC, with Georgia projected at 11–1 and Tennessee at 10–2, leading to a tense playoff race. He highlights Kentucky as a rising underdog with potential to reach the playoffs, crediting strong coaching and resilience despite a loss to Alabama. Walker criticizes the Big 12’s sudden rise, dismissing BYU, Texas Tech, and Utah as overrated and unlikely playoff contenders. He forecasts a chaotic SEC season driven by injuries, close games, and defensive struggles—such as Tennessee’s loss to South Carolina—creating a crowded playoff field. A recurring theme is the imbalance in playoff access, where independent teams like Notre Dame benefit from unique scheduling rules. Walker emphasizes the unpredictable, high-stakes nature of college football, blending data with narrative flair to predict outcomes. His top 25 rankings reflect a mix of performance, potential, and personal bias, with notable placements for Miami, BYU, Ohio State, and Kentucky. The episode concludes with a strong critique of media narratives around coaches like Ryan Day, arguing that elite teams face disproportionate scrutiny. Ultimately, Walker presents a vivid, dramatic vision of college football’s future—chaotic, unpredictable, and deeply influenced by both performance and perception.

than Mississippi but is what it is branding you need to do a one-on-one with Jim Cornett no but if you do if you guys do have guests that you'd like me to get I'm wide open to it I DM RG3 today say if he wanted to do it he didn't have time today I don't think and then I got a couple of other people that I want to get and haven't really gotten yet Lane's coming on the show eventually um yeah I think we we ask Willie Fritz to come on a little bit too late but we'll have some coaches we'll have somebody for Wednesday night before right now it's just uh me and Liam as we are doing our five bold takes tonight I got a couple of takes I want to talk about off the rip just off the rip number one um I want to talk Notre Dame Liam before we get into anything I won't talk Notre Dame we'll do our five bold takes in a minute this is more of a question slash take Liam if Notre Dame loses to Miami on November 7th thank you Tommy if Notre Dame loses to Miami on December 7th we'll Notre Dame get into the playoff and once you answer yes to that will they deserve to get into the playoff this feels like a potential back half of the season conversation point as be as Notre Dame this season so far has had a schedule that has been very easy the second they played a team that could beat them that's exactly what happened if they were to lose to Miami the number one team in the country they would have losses to number one Miami and who knows what BYU will be ranked by the end of the season but they'll have losses to BYU and Miami will they deserve the bid that they get no like if you look around the country Brandon team A B C D E F will have played let's not even call it 12 let's not call it 10 let's call it 678 games of top caliber that you could go as I man I respect that I shake your hand good job Notre Dame is in is in a great position where they are an independent and I will die on the hill I love them being an independent I love that tradition in the sport you know me you know my brain you know that's where I lie with it but you've got to go set your balls on the table schedule a few more games of at least respectable gratitude and they continue not to do that yeah and now I will say that some of these they they schedule this it's impossible to see coming that those teams would be you know it's bad you you schedule a bit Wisconsin game a few years out I mean you expect that to be a really good game right you expect and Wisconsin might age really well right and you've got several on the schedule that that look like they should have been a little bit better than they are but at the end of the day last year they missed the playoff because they went 10 and 2 and the only two real games they played they lost they missed because they didn't finish in the top 12 or at least the committee didn't put them there in the top in their committees top 12 this year they wind and cry took their ball home and said if we're in the top 12 you bet you have to put us in there and now they have that rule so I would assume with the loss to number one and whatever be why you ends up they would be inside the top 12 even though they wouldn't deserve it it's a fascinating conversation coming now they might be Miami and this is all moot and this is this doesn't matter at all but there are rules for 135 teams in division one and then there's rules for Notre Dame and I don't like I'm being independent I I I I like the history and tradition of the sport I'm I'm with that but things change times change every conference is different than it used to be every but every playoff system is different than it used to be everything is different and the only team that gets to stay and have their own thing is Notre Dame and meanwhile the big 10 teams like Ohio State Indiana are going out every single week I'm just playing Slobberknockers the SEC's it's own little thing down there and Notre Dame gets to coast and I don't think that's fair I don't think it's right in a new world of college football where fairness should be more we're paying players we're doing all these things we're letting them transfer fairness is the order of the day except when it comes to schedules and who teams have to play some of you get these rules some of you get these rules and I think that's bullshit yeah like like saying that I could completely stand within the Cree I get it I get that I'm more of an island on this uh did you see the Notre Dame stuff I sent earlier today from the bear his thread I saw that where uh bear was like he dug into it and over the last three or four years Notre Dame's uh Notre Dame's record against teams that ended up ranked was something like was some ridiculous number their their record against or the record of the teams they beaten over the last three years is like 32 and 69 something like that yeah yeah the the teams that they beat which finished the season ranked USC North Carolina State and Clemson in varying years and then two service academies yeah yeah it it's not great now I'm losing every big game I uh I've got several uh I think I'm gonna take this take out and I'm gonna put put the other name okay you just want to get into our five bowl takes so I know you have five that I like and I've got five that I yeah I haven't shown you all of them uh but I've got several takes I think it's a good way to start yeah so much to have in these are five bowl takes this is the point of this is for me to say a take and over the next two months two of the takes are gonna come true and I'm gonna relentlessly crow about on the entire rest of my days two of the takes will age okay to where I can say well you took a shot one of the takes will age so poorly that the fan base will only use it to identify me in the coming years so we will see exactly which one shakes out to which uh I'm still uh dying over Shane Beamer takes I had three years ago and Billy Napier takes like there still takes I've had for fan bases that they will just never get over ever in the history of life but that's That's okay.
Um, bold take number one. Actually, um, odd or even odd, you're right. You want to go first? Ah, shoot. Uh, yeah, I'll stick on the topic of Notre Dame. Here's what's going to happen. Chat here's what's going to happen. Those listening Notre Dame, like Brian Walker and I just said, it's going to go 10 and two. They're going to make the playoff on the caveat of them being in the top 12, that idiotic rule that somehow got passed through. What's going to happen is the first team left out or the second team left out, probably going to be in the SEC, they're going to be very upset and angry. We should have RC at the table. We should be in this. Well, we'll be seeing college football that continues to happen is you go to a judge, you go to Congress, you go to the courtroom and you complain, you complain, you complain, someone's going to court over Notre Dame, being in the playoff at 10 and 2 after playing two game schedule. So much like we did this off season, we will have stuff settled in court after somebody gets screwed for Notre Dame's feelings. That's what you're telling me. Yeah, of course, and nothing's going to come of it. But someone will be in the court. We're going to have a head coach. Let's say Kaelin DeBoer is in the courtroom. I may, maybe it's in Washington, DC for all I know. And you have to beat that picture. You're starting to giggle a little. Yeah, no, I like it. I like it a lot, but I just, uh, yeah, it just, I don't look forward to another summer in court of college football. So that's, that's something I don't like. All right. My bowl, take number one. If you consider 10 into the magic number of, if a major conference team goes 10 and two, especially in the SEC or the big 10, if a major conference team goes 10 and two, they get into the playoff. I feel that over the next six weeks, over the end of the season, only two teams in the South, Eastern Conference will meet that threshold, leaving behind them a pile of nine and three teams left to fight it out for those last couple of spots. It's going to be ugly. It's going to be nasty. The committee's going to have to figure some things out, uh, but you will only have two teams that meet the threshold of 10 and two are better. Those two teams to me are the Georgia Bulldogs and the Tennessee volunteers. I looked every single scenario up to see who could lose where, who could do what and who could get in with Georgia. I think they've been embarrassed. I think they bounced back. I think they end up winning at Ole Miss. I think they end up beating Florida. I think they get to 11 and one. With Tennessee, I think they go 10 and two. And I think that loss could come this weekend. Yeah. Have you seen this line? There have been lines. Folks, if you haven't been to the draft King sports book, if you haven't checked out the lines for this week, what I'm about to tell you will be shocking. There have been lines this year. I remember Oklahoma and Michigan. I remember Ole Miss and Florida where you just roll over out of it and you go, what? What? Tennessee's at South Carolina. South Carolina is favored by three points, two and a half, something like that. South Carolina, let me say that again. The South Carolina game cocks are favored over the Tennessee volunteers. A week after the Tennessee volunteers beat Alabama. Classic letdown spot. South Carolina, I believe coming off of by, but going forward, I think I, that's the only loss I project Tennessee to possibly have coming down the stretch. They've got, who they got? They got Kentucky. They got LSU at home. I think Tennessee gets home at 10 and two with this defense they've got. I think Georgia gets home at 11 and one. Everybody else Alabama's got two losses already. I think they lose the LSU. Ole Miss loses at Texas and Georgia at home. I believe LSU loses at Tennessee. They've already got two losses. That's their third. Kentucky loses at Tennessee and at Missouri. That's their second third. Mizzou who has two losses right now loses at Georgia. That's their third. Texas loses at LSU. That's their third and Auburn loses at Alabama and Mississippi by God State. And those, maybe more. I didn't even look at Auburn's schedule. That's the path that I see towards utter chaos in the SEC, meaning at least five, maybe six, nine and three teams. This is bold take Monday, folks. It's bold take Monday. I'm not pussy footing around here. I think Georgia 11 and one, Tennessee 10 and two and then a pile of nine and three teams that is going to be an issue for the South Eastern Conference. That's a great, great bold take. Yeah, yeah, it's out there. It is out there. Texas has no chance without Simmons. I think Texas can beat Ole Miss without Simmons. I think Simmons is a great player, but you take that great player off that defense. That defense is still really fucking good. Really fucking good. So is he the best player in America on the defensive side of the ball? He's in the conversation. He's definitely in the conversation, but I think they could be fine without him. Husker, Francis, Tennessee isn't going 10 and two. Well, you use your imagination, people. We're not saying this stuff is 100 percent, but we're going out there. We're putting our nuts on the table. We're trying to do something bold, fun and predicting the future of a crazy sport after we just saw one of the most outrageous Saturdays possible. And you want to sit here and chat at home relax, relax, relax. By the way, if you thought that that was bold, it's about to get fucking crazy up here. It's about to get buck wild nuts in here. What's your second take? And then I'll read an ad for that. Yeah, I don't brand. I just think it's funny that we just saw one of the most outrageous Saturdays in college. I was like, Brandon, Brandon, you think Georgia's going 111, Tennessee's going 102. You're out of your mind. You think that team can lose to that team? Oh, yeah, sure do. You think Tennessee can lose the South Carolina? Sure do. I think Vegas thinks that I continue Vegas though. So I think the most fun, like I'm not an SEC guy. I'm a West Coast college football guy. But I think the most fun conference to do the bold take stuff with is the South Eastern Conference. Maybe it's just because it means more. I don't know. Kentucky and Tennessee playing a few weeks, November 17th. My team, my second take is also in that game. It's Will Stein and Kentucky, Brown Walker. I think they're going to win a college football play. I'm saying, hey, Tommy Walker, hey, Tommy Walker, tell Tommy Walker. I think the Kentucky Wildcats are going to win a college football playoff game. I think they're going to get in a 10 and two. And I think I don't know who they're going to play. But I think when I'm looking at it, if they get a big 12 team, I think they can be a big 12 team. If they get an Indiana, I think they can be Indiana. I have so much trust in Will Stein. I have so much trust. It is schematics on the offensive side of the ball to confuse these college kids who are seeing weird things that they're not seeing too much of. I like Kentucky. I love the coach. I look at their body of work. They're at the top and strength of record everything. So the rest of me is going to be there there in SEC team, a hot fiery one that people, people really enjoy. I think they're going to get in even if they end up going 93. I could see them slying in at the very end of the 11 spot. The one flaw this year is the second half against Alabama, a game that they controlled for a half and that all faltered. And from it, they become better. Kentucky wins a playoff game. This episode is brought to you by Body Armor Flash IV. Flash IV is packed with electrolytes delivering faster, longer lasting hydration without any artificial dyes, flavors or sweetness, whether you're training traveling, just feeling the heat or cheering on your team, work hard, hydrate hard with Body Armor Flash IV. Grab it. It's 7-11. It's one of my favorite drinks. It is my favorite drink. When I'm going out and doing something, if I'm playing ball or if I'm going golfing, which I haven't done much of in the football season, but back in the summer, when I was needing the electrolytes, I would hit that Body Armor Flash IV before the round and after the round. And it would get me through. And I'm somebody who struggles in the sun, struggles with not getting dehydrated and being able to get through that. So Body Armor Flash IV has been a savior for me. It's been fantastic. Take number two. The Big 12 Conference is getting way too much love right now. It's getting way too much love. Don't mistake not losing football games for being the best teams because chaos is taking over the SEC and chaos is about to possibly take over the Big 10. As you've got Ohio State having to play USC in Oregon without its quarterback, you already have them with one loss, Indiana already has one loss. And the Big 10 has kind of been a chaotic mass past those two teams. And the SEC has a chaotic mass with George Illusion to Auburn and all that. Meanwhile, all of a sudden you got three top 10 teams in the Big 12. And that win by BYU is fantastic and it's not only propping BYU up right now, it's propping the entire conference up. All of a sudden you have BYU up there at number two. All of a sudden you have Texas Tech in the middle of the top 10. And you have Utah back there at number 10. And maybe these are very solid teams, but don't mistake not having lost yet with being very good. Utah hasn't played a game they could possibly lose yet. They beat Iowa State, they beat Idaho, they beaten Arkansas, they beaten Kansas, I believe. They beaten really bad teams, they won against Colorado by three points the other way. Utah is a solid team, number 10 in the country. That is berserk. That is bizarre. That is crazy. Texas Tech has struggled mindily at times BYU, by the way, tricky ass spot for BYU coming off what they just did. Saturday going at UCF this weekend. This is a conference. They did not all of a sudden wake up and have three top 10 teams. They didn't wake up and join the upper echelon of college football because Big 10 teams lost or SEC teams lost. Right now people are called up and they're saying Brandon can the big 12 get three teams in the playoffs? No, they can't. No, no, and why would you warm to? So I just, all of a sudden BYU.
you beats Notre Dame and the entire conference is up on this pedestal. And it's the same thing that's been happening to these SEC teams all year. When they get a big win, we put them up on the pedestal and they just fall. I feel like the big 12, if you are right now, thinking that the big 12 is all of a sudden up there and it needs three top 10 teams, I think you're crazy. I think you're absolutely crazy. What? Let me play a little question here for you, brand walker. If the big 12 gets three teams in, let's just call it BYU, Texas, Tekken, Utah. Let's call it the three in top 10 right now. What are their chances that they get one playoff with that any of those teams is able to win the first playoff game? I would say, I'd say BYU would have a chance to win a playoff game. I don't think Utah would have any chance to win a playoff game. And I don't think Texas Tech, did you see how far Texas Tech was last year from winning a playoff game? It was not, it was not close. Why bring it up? They were not competitive. They were uncompetitive in the game that they lost and I don't see any reason if you're playing a season big 10 team or a season Notre Dame or a season to anybody else. I don't say a reason to believe there's a big 10 team to win outside of BYU who just did it. And frankly, that BYU win is that who they're going to be all year? Are they going to get the playoff and be in the league team? I don't know. I don't know the answer to that question, but they would be my guest or they would be my one team I would say could win a big playoff game. Utah is going to fall apart and then Texas Tech is weak to weak. So you know, I just think people are giving way too much love to the big 12 right now that is my take. What is your bowl take number three? James Madison. They're going undefeated. They will not make the college football playoff. I'm not sure how or why it happens, but there's a few scenarios you could have Boise State runs the table and they're just in a they're in with one loss and probably two wins over Oregon State or you could have Oregon State going winning out having two losses, both the big 12 teams Houston and Texas Tech and they're in and they're in with the win over Boise State. Whatever path happens James Madison will not have the strength of schedule to accommodate them making the playoffs a year after they made the playoff. And in my opinion, put up a fine fight against Oregon. It was a terrible first half. They played great second half. They were more competitive in that second half than then Texas Tech was for 60 minutes against Oregon and point here, point here, point here. I think there's going to be James Madison fatigue. I think that the committee is going to look for ways to keep JMU out of playoff if they go on the field. I think they're going to find the way. My bowl take number three. Somebody said, would you say this any of this today? Yeah, Brian wake up parcel Monday morning. Yeah, probably did say it this morning. You think I'm scared to say something today, Portanoi? Yeah, say all this today, Portanoi. And then I'd say fuck Michigan too. Um, bowl take number three. This is a two pack. Are you ready for my tofer? Oh, yeah, they know. Are you covered? Are you ready for my Texas two step? No. Bowl take. Texas parts, ways with Steve Sarkiesian to take aim at number one target, Will Stein. Second part, archmaning is a starting quarterback in the SEC next season. Oh, at the University of Mississippi at Ole Miss. Turn to that chambles leaving. Archmaning still has big time recruit appeal. He has manning appeal. If there's any school that will line up for his services, it will be Ole Miss. I don't think they like their backup. It will be Ole Miss Manning Arch Ole Miss. He starts their next season thoughts. We talk so much about arch in the F on where he stays or goes. And I think the quite assumption was always all having our year of Texas, having our year of Texas. But when you boil it down in Sarka and be there, with Will Stein of all people bring up what he want him with with new coach want arch, like you have he's in his 10th year and you have so much to make him learn and develop and grow. But with Ole Miss want him, like genuine I get the family ties. If anybody in the country would want him, again, turn to that chambles leaving. They have a young untested backup. They're active in the transfer portal anyway. They're one of the most active and most successful franchise or transfer portal teams in the country. You tell me manning is available and they wouldn't make a run at that. I would. Yeah. So I just now will odds are our odds best that Sarka is there next year and arch is there next year. Yeah. Sure. But that wouldn't fit bull take Monday. What that wouldn't. Would that fit bull take Monday Liam? No. And I'm just thinking through a brand and hypothetically if a Bryce underwood was available, you have Bryce and arch available both off sour seasons. Well, you could take on you could take on both because I don't I think Ole Miss is tight in this graduating. So you could have you can have arch throwing to Bryce underwood like I or or you know if you have arch, you could always play Bryce when he's at two lane next year. So I legitimately think arch, you know, we've made a lot of fun of him. He hasn't come that far. He goes into the portal. Teams will line up to get him. I don't think teams are going to line up for Bryce. And I know there was this agent tweet the other day with saying this Oregon and Ole Miss and all of them are already in contact. I don't think the market for Bryce will be anywhere near what Bryce thinks the market for Bryce should be. I think legitimately he would have to step down a level. He would have to go to a JMU or to lane or or even if you want to stay at this level Purdue, you know, I don't think he's getting an Oregon offer. I don't think he's getting an Ole Miss offer. I don't think he's getting a Texas offer. That's Bryce underwood. Somebody says UNLV. Dan Mullin, maybe, maybe yeah. Yeah. If Dan Mullins at UNLV. I don't know why Missouri's ranked at all. You guys want to say Arizona. You'll see my top 25 in a minute. There's no reason in the world. Missouri's ahead of Mississippi State. Mississippi State has 230 point losses, one without its quarterback, but we beat Missouri's ass, and they have two losses. I don't get why Missouri's ranked at all. So Arizona should be ahead of them. Several teams behind them should be ahead of them. I agree with you. Matt Evans, I actually have Arizona coming up in one of my takes, but it's bloodmins up. Go ahead. Well, I just want to say, dude, bring it up, sleep, and how important it is. Yeah, we watched a yak up. So, yeah, that beautiful man continue. So I guess to just stick with the Texas theme, I had read down a go at the kind of hint of it, but I don't think Steve Sarkisian in Texas. I don't think the marriage lasts till at the A&M game. I think that I think he's gone before me, gone before Arkansas. I really think this is a very, very bad situation outside looking in. I didn't like it coming into here. I really don't like it now. They got all missed this week. I don't think they're winning that Mississippi state. Who knows if Super Camaroos on the field will he be? I would just assume not this point, but you know, better than me than you're still at. Yeah, I would I would walk back that take if I were you. Well, it's bulltake Monday. Okay, but I'm telling you, I'm telling you, I would brand. I nobody except you want to see him on the field, more than me. I was grabbing you by the hand and I'm saying, hey, that take you just said, let's turn around and walk and walk on back. That's all. All right. Walk back. Good. I want to watch him play football, bring crazy. I think you're going to get your chance through the sooner rather than later. That would be lovely. No, no crap. I forgot. I didn't know crabs. Well, by the way, by the way, what team was I watching the other night? Hold on. Hold on. Did someone know crabs? Yeah. Who was doing it? Was it Florida State or Miami? It was. No, no, no. Some team. It was a shot. No crabs. Some but they were just doing it all.
over the place. Got my guys hurting. They're out there taking it. Might have been Indiana. No way, that's crazy. There's somebody. It was somebody I saw it several times. Oh, it made my, I saw it several times already. All right, continue. Yeah. I mean, they, they they're still at Mizzou. You could think Webber. I've still a road game for a team with a bad offense. So then they're out. I'll see you calling Simmons hurt. A bunch of bruised egos at this point. Guy's not getting the ball. Guy's not getting fed. I think it's a disaster. I think the fan hatred is going to ramp up. I think they'll have the pitch forks at the door. I don't see them last thing till the end of the season. I really think this marriage is saying sooner rather than later. My third or fourth hot take. By the way, I scratched out LSU is going to play off in Alabama, isn't I don't know that I'm not all the way there on that one. When I work on that one, they've got to bring that one to this. Arizona is worth a flyer to win the big 12. Arizona's five and one. They have a loss, an 11 point loss on the road at BYU. If they were to be able to get to the big 12 championship game against BYU, they have that 11 point loss at BYU. I think they would compete decently well. I think Arizona's flying under the radar. They just killed West Virginia, West Virginia, which has no big thing. They also killed since an anti, I think 34 to seven. This is a team with no if a feeder that's tested, battle tested, well coached. They are in a conference that I don't believe has gotten to its chaos yet. The chaos is coming for everybody. It already came for the SEC. It already came for the big 10 a little bit. It isn't just an SEC issue or a big 10 issue. It will come for the big 12. I think this week with BYU at UCF and Texas Tech at Cincinnati to tricky as spots. We might be on the doorstep of chaos in the big 12, but Arizona, what they have left, they have Iowa state. They're at Texas Tech, TCU, Utah is at home Oklahoma, Kansas State, excuse me on the road and Arizona State at home. I think they can beat Utah at home. I think they can get to 10 and 2. I think they probably lose at Texas Tech, but it wouldn't surprise me if they were going to road and beat Texas Tech. Right now they only have the loss to BYU. If they beat Texas Tech or chaos happens, they can sneak into this big 12 title game. I think they're worth the flyer. People are talking about so many teams in the big 12. I think Arizona is probably better than Utah. I think Arizona is probably better in Houston. There's my thoughts. I almost had them on my my bold takes list. I do like there's 16 to 1 to win the big 12 right now. I want to see what they are to make the playoff. If they had their wider seeber who I I don't know when he's coming back. She's a fine Richardson, the young kid. He is so dynamic. Him and Isaiah, myself, form of really good pairing. He has been college since what World War II? 1968. Yes. Yeah. Like the guy's not going anywhere. He's been fantastic killing it. This is your grandson, a really good job after it was like an higher 15 and one to make the playoff Arizona. What were they to win the big 12? I didn't look that up 16 to 1. Yeah. I think that's worth a flyer, man. I think they can sneak. Again, I'm going to need chaos to happen elsewhere, but it's going to happen. And I think if they sneak into that big 12 title game, they lost by 11 on the road to BYU. They with that quarterback that that quarterback's been there forever. They're not going to be scared of anybody. Good coach. Texas Arizona's worth the flyer. That's all I'm saying. Yeah. And that BYU game was closer than people think. Like having watched that, they're, they're serious and gets hurt really early. That at that point of season was all right. Fafias go to guy and just threw everything off. Um, yeah. What's your last ball take for ball take Monday? Ole Miss is plus 3 10 to make the semi final. I think that's bull dish enough to say I think Ole Miss is going back, making another run this year. I don't. They're going to lose to Georgia. I think they're going to go 10 into. I think that they're going to find their foreman in this pile. I'm really banking on gold and having found something with the defense of front four and being more. All they got to be is a very just, just, just the solid defense and trade that's going to get him in every game. So more trade that magic, perhaps. My only thing is at Texas. Boy, Ole Miss is a lead at home. Boy, they're a lead at home. They what they haven't lost in forever. They're 23 and one. They're like, it's crazy. At Texas, Texas desperate now. You're going to see these SEC teams with two losses, just turn into the desperation mode. And if they were to lose to Texas, I think they lose in Georgia. And if they get in that nine and three pile of Ole Miss gets in that nine and three pile, I don't think their resume holds up. I they will have had they will have beaten Louisville. They will have beaten LSU. They will beat Missouri. I would expect Missouri to fall a little bit coming down the stretch. So, uh, but it's ball take Monday. And you just said a ball take. Ball take Monday. I don't like what I'm about to say. Oh, but it's ball take Monday. What side of the country does this per side and per side? The far west coast. Is it starting to sink in? No, no, I have no idea where you go. Give me the USC Trojans to make the playoff. They're at Wisconsin. Then they have a Julian Sandless Ohio state team. Then they're at Indiana. Maryland at home. And at nine and two, they finished the season, playing the cross town UCLA Bruins. A game that USC wins. Just a cure Lincoln rallies first playoff spot. It's ball take Monday thoughts. It's ball take Monday. That's what it is, dude. Ball take Monday. Maybe we need to run this back next week too and do a bolder take Monday, but brown Walker. It's ball take Monday for a reason. You're using them in the segment for a reason. Two weeks, three weeks ago, everyone wrote USC off. Everyone ran off. Lincoln Riley is being run out of town after they squeaked by Washington and win at Penn State by a now we're now we're talking Yoss again. Now we're talking Yoss again. I like that. I love that. I want Lincoln there forever. We'll take my let's go. Listen, I wouldn't mind getting to the end of the year and figuring out how many of the playoff teams were written off at some point. Like if you're if you're if I'm being honest, like LSU's probably been written off. I think they got a decent little chance to make the playoff. Oregon's not dead. Go ahead. No, no, like I'm thinking my mind like Owen. I know that USC lost I know that but all USC has to do. They have two really big games left. Well, three and but one of them's against an injured team. So let's say the the God smile on them and Julian saying being out, let's them beat Ohio State at home. Now we're really in it, right? We're really in it. And they have this huge game against Indiana. They go lose it, but they only got two losses setting up a potential playoff game that isn't a playoff game against UCLA. I don't I don't think that's a crazy. I mean, that's a crazy scenario. And if you look in this country, the playoffs have already started in the SEC. The playoffs have started LSU, Bama LSU, Texas, Texas, Ole Miss. Like the playoffs have started for these teams. Texas is already fighting for their playoff life. So is LSU, so is Alabama. And USC might get into that mode once they take the second loss. Now they lose Ohio State it's over. They're not going to be. But, but it's just really think about it like the potential is there. I get what you're saying with the fighter flight mode that you're already surviving and advancing. It's like an NCAA tournament team that had gotten hot in their conference tournament when they they weren't even on the bubble. They somehow make a miracle run when their conference tournament and you're playing with house money and you're playing with your backs up against the wall with nothing to lose. And you're you're starting to really feel yourself. I get it. You find that groove. I want to speak to the chat real quick. Nolan Mulligan says Kentucky is a top five team. And here y'all go again. Every single time an SEC team wins a big game. It's their top five team. Their top five team. You did it to Ole Miss. You did it to Florida. You did it to Missouri. You keep doing it. You keep doing it. Keep doing it. Kentucky's a good story. Well, Stein's a good coach. They're just not a top five team. It's a team that has won by two point a version at South Carolina at home. We can tell us you and that's great. That's incredible. They won on the road against Oklahoma. That's good. It's not a top five team. It's they're they're not up there with Ohio State and Indiana and Notre Dame and Miami and Georgia. They're just not and that's okay. That is okay. We're coming into the season and Stein is changing everything in Kentucky. But they're just not a fucking top five team. And not everybody who can win who wins a game in the SEC immediately gets to be top five. That's not how it works. I don't know that they're top five in the SEC. Let me work on it. Georgia Tennessee. Now I'm projecting Ole Miss towards the end. It would be it would be as of right now you put them in. But by the end of the season Are they in that top five?
the SEC probably not. Probably not. Anywho. I think Kentucky's a top 15 team. Go ahead. I had two questions for you. Two questions. I still have another one. I'll take my ball, ball, ball, ball, this take Monday. Speak of the SEC and I won't win week to week. There's no way Texas A&M goes 9-3, right? We everyone wrote them off and left up for that eliminated. There's no way, right? Let me, let me, let me tell you. Can I tell you something on bulltake Monday? You can, you can. I'm not open on mouth. Okay. Don't fucking let us get Camario Taylor. Don't fucking let us get Camario Taylor back. We'll be Oklahoma this weekend. We're five and fucking two. Yep. Yep. You're, you're, and you have two losses that don't count. Don't count. The one that tells you does not count. I lane told me that. I said lane. This doesn't count. He said, I know, sir. My other question for you really quickly. Lowest possible. By the way, by the way, Liam, I got put in a text message with Lane Kiffin. A, a, a while back. And there's a third person in there. The third person put us in there. And I sent, I sent to him yesterday. I said, um, coach just so you know that game doesn't count. 12 hours later, the response came and it was just three question marks. And I was like, oh, okay, I guess it counted. Go ahead. What? No, well, that, that's how I expect him to text. I was going to ask if he's a big gift guy. You can see him only conversing and gifts. Yeah. What's your, what's your other ship? Did you have something else? Yeah. Lowest possible seed that could win the college football playoff this year. Uh, in 11, like I assume the G5 team is going to be 12 and they're not going to be able to win it. Um, I think what you're going to have is a good SEC or big 10 team sneak in and get that 11 spot. So I think you're going to have a good team in that spot. You might not, there's probably going to be a better team in that spot than there isn't like five. Um, I would say what, what was Miami last year? Were they 10 or nine? I think they were 10. They were 10 against 7 a.m., right? Yeah. Yeah. Um, so that they, they were within a drive of winning the national title last year Ohio State won it as an eight or a nine. Um, so I, yeah, I don't think there's any doubt that, um, yeah, I think they were in Ohio State was an eight because they played number nine Tennessee. Um, so I don't think there's any doubt that I don't know, 10 or 11 can win it. Um, draft Kings. Uh, Luke, after, uh, draft Kings, let's go to my top 25. We got all the bull takes out. Yes. Now of course I have my top 25 that I drop here every single day. Today's Tate of the Union is addressing an epidemic that is sweeping this nation a disease so contagious that it spreads to your brain and down your spine until it's all you can think about a plague so deadly that you lose both your mind and your eyesight at the same time because the people that suffer from this condition cannot think nor see clearly. The condition I am talking about is Ryan Day derangement syndrome by the way that's 88 wins and only 13 losses in his entire career Ryan Day. That's the all-time leader and winning percentage in college football history Ryan Day. That is national champion Ryan Day and I know what you're going to say because the uneducated and especially the jealous set every single week. Ryan Day was handed the keys to the Ohio State Corvette anyone could do this at Ohio State. Are we on the same page that Ryan Day is now in his eighth season as the head coach of the Buckeyes. If you want to say that he took over a program that Urban Meyer had humming fine but eight years later it is his program. But I must ask if the success of a program is attributed to the previous coach then why has Kalen De Boer already lost 10 times in just two and a half seasons after Nick Saban handed him the program. So are you saying that that's how much of a better leader in coach that Urban Meyer was than Nick Saban? But then again after Urban left Florida will must chant failed and then Jim McElwain failed and then Dan Mullen failed and then Billy Napier failed. So it's not that Urban Meyer left the program so pristine that anyone could handle it. So is it that the resources available at blue bloods like Ohio State made Ryan Day successful? Well then why has Texas gone from Mac Brown to Charlie Strong to Tom Herman to now Sork? Notre Dame has down years, USC has down years, Oklahoma Michigan, you name it, everyone in the sport has their ebbs and flows. Even Kirby Smart has lost three or more games three times at Georgia. Ryan Day has never lost more than twice in any season playoffs included in his entire career. So why the fuck are we writing articles from national media sources questioning how much he would cost to fire Ryan Day if he loses on the road to Indiana? And then you look at the results of this past weekend, a weekend in which the number one, the number two, the number five, the number six, and the number seven teams all lost. And some of you will still sit here and spew a narrative that Ryan Day went on the road snap a 600 day 22 game winning streak at the defending national champions house who haven't lost since 2024. And your takeaway is that Ryan Day almost choked so you can move on and see that one of the greatest coaches in college football history is right in front of you. If Kirby Smart wins that exact same game on the road over a top five team, he is lauded for finding a way to win. But Kirby Smart was not doing that this weekend. He was too busy losing as a three score favorite at home to an unranked opponent, and it's not the only time in his career has done that. But no one is criticizing him and Marcus Freeman is still a great coach despite losing as a favorite as well. Everyone is allowed to lose games except for Ryan Day. And that's how we like it in Columbus. And Sig is still God's gift to coaching despite now being one and two against Ryan Day. And if Ryan Day had a kicker, he'd deal with three. In fact, if Ryan Day had a kicker, you could add another big 10 title, another national title, and another win over the rival to his already prestigious resume. He has a blowing record against top 25 teams. He has a clear winning record against top 10 teams, and he has a winning record against top five teams with an outstanding nine wins that no one gives him credit for. And outside of ranked matchups, he wins every single fucking time. He is 52 and one in his career against unranked teams. Even Urban Meyer would lose to Purdue and Iowa here and there. Kirby's lost to Auburn. Kirby's lost to South Carolina. The Ryan Day is not allowed to, and thankfully he does not. You haters out there are going to suffocate if you continue to hold your breath waiting for Ryan Day to fail. On the field, off the field, running a program that does not have behavioral issues, dealing with the ever changing landscape of college football. And the only thing consistent in the entire sport these days is that Ryan Day is fucking elite Brandon of floors yours. You know, when I approach Tate idea to do Tate the union because I think he is very, very good and deserves a huge voice in college football. He's going to have it soon. The idea was he would do these one minute speeches that kind of butt into me. That was that lasted for weeks. That was forever. Now his overall take by Tate there is absolutely correct. Ryan Day is punished by the crushing weight of expectations. We all put on him because of how good he's been when he loses it's a bigger deal than when everybody else knows I did write down three notes during that diet tribe that I would like to throw back at Tate. Now he's not here. He's streaming the Tampa Bay, the Tampa Bay going the World Series tonight. The three things were number one. He went on a rant saying if Ryan Day had a kicker, he would have this that and that whose fault is it Ryan Day doesn't have a kicker. It's 100% Ryan Day is fought. So you can you can claim that Ryan Day is unfairly punished for losing certain games and you can you can argue that Ryan Day is unfairly said that he was born on third base when other guys have been born on third base but can't say if he only had a kicker because it's his fault he doesn't have a kicker. Number two. He brought up Kirby and said wins the last time something like wins the last time Kirby won a top five game on the road like Ryan Day just did last week. Five, seven days ago. One long go at all. And then, and Kirby also has twice in national titles, Ryan Day.
Yes, that being said, Rhine Day's a top three coach in this country. I like the tape give gave everything he had there. My last thing was he did mention Rhine Day taking over for Urban Meyer and keeping it where it was and guys at other places like following Urban Meyer, Florida, following Nick Sabin at Alabama. It hasn't been, it hasn't happened like that. To which I would say I believe the Ohio State advantage of being the only big dog and a top 10 football producing state and might be top top 10 population wise. Ohio State has a unique advantage in being the only show in town of the entire state of Ohio. Alabama has to compete with Auburn, Florida has compete with Florida State Miami. Texas has to compete with everybody in that state. Meanwhile, it's, it's not easy to maintain success at Ohio State. It's not easy to maintain success anywhere. But if you come in and the entire state is unified and making sure you can't fail, I feel like those resources are pretty much unparalleled in college football. So it would make sense that a guy taking over an already built program at Ohio State would have an easier time maintaining the current heading that everybody else does. Thoughts Liam? Yeah, it was a great time for Tate to do some Ohio State propaganda respect to that. That being said, I just like maybe an excuse because he knows Saiyans probably out for a year. Like I said, I think Tate is, uh, his voice in college football deserves to be huge. And it's going to be very soon. Then that's why I would like for him to continue doing this. Yeah, I think they just get slanted because a little coward boy down the stretch from big games. That's what it is. It's the way they lose. It's the way they look timid when they lose. It's the way you can punch them in the mouth. And they just, you know, it's that. It's not when Kirby loses, you don't get that sense. When other teams lose, you don't get that sense. You just get the sense that they either took their eye off the wall or something else. When Ohio State loses, there's just some sort of tenor in the air. Where it's like, oh, they, they got pumped. Maybe that's not fair, but maybe maybe something's not fair. But like, that is what it feels. And maybe it's just for men that are realizing it. But Ryan, they continue to do a week after week after, er, sorry. That week, a big game after big game. I was just trying to make a chest ferment joke. Okay. Yeah. And I didn't know where to go after hand up. All right. Let's go with my top 25. By the way, I came up with this Sunday, I said this Saturday night. When I came up with my top 10 Saturday night, I said, this will probably change my morning. My top 25's already changed. I realized I didn't put Arizona in there. I'm going to put them like 21 because I like Arizona a lot. So they're not their Arizona fans. Sorry, I've given you your flowers already. Give me my top 25, look you, Blutman. There it is. The number one team, the Miami Hurricanes, number two, BYU. A lot of people can have BYU at number one. I get it. They have the big win. I mean, I need better than BYU. And I do my rankings as a mixture of what teams have done and who I think is better than the other. Otherwise, why are we voting? If we're only going off undefeated teams and you get to go to number four because you're undefeated, what's the point of voting? So this is my vote. Number one, Miami, number two, BYU, three Ohio State. I didn't drop Indiana, hardly any. They were an inch away from winning that football game. So they're at four. I got UCLA all the way up to five. Number six there is the Georgia Bulldog, seven is Ole Miss. Texas Tech, number eight, number nine is Tennessee. Ten is Kentucky, 11 Notre Dame, 12 Alabama, 13 Houston, 14 Wake Forest. I think people are sleeping on Wake Forest. I think everybody says, oh, Miami hasn't beaten anybody. Well, Wake Forest ain't bad. Utah number 15, Iowa 16, 17 is USC. 18 is, wait, is that Arizona? I can't tell who that is. Is that Arizona? That's Arizona. Oh, I've got to put Arizona in there. I'm sorry. Who did I take out then? Number 19 is Florida, number 20 is Texas, 21 LSU, 22, Boise State, 23, JMU, 24 Mississippi state. And why not put them there? Brandon, they've lost two straight games by 30 points. Hey, Camario Taylor was out. That came to the count. But B, Missouri is in the real pole. And at Mississippi state beat them, they have the same amount of wins and losses. And Missouri's done nothing. The Mississippi state hasn't done. I have no idea why Missouri is in the real pole. So this is just me fighting back against that. You can take Mississippi state out if you want. I get it. They've lost by 30 points twice in a row. Camario Taylor was out. The second game doesn't count. But you can't have Missouri in there. That's my rule. If you're going to put Missouri in there, I have put Mississippi state in there. And number 25, SMU. So there you go. There's my top 25 Liam. Do you see anything wrong? I wouldn't have UCLA ahead of Georgia Ole Miss. I don't know if I would have jam. You ranked right now. But the second group of five, the group of six spot, I'd be looking at is probably New Mexico, New Mexico. Arguably has the best result for group of six contender. Losing by a hair with their backup quarterback at Oklahoma. Where'd you have Utah again? Like 15. 15. So my sense of spice is John Earl says Northwestern question mark. Yeah, that's another one of those where don't just be fooled by the record. I don't, I don't think they're all right. I have Notre Dame a little higher. I think you have Arizona in good spot. Yeah. Yeah, Notre Dame probably shouldn't have fallen all the way to 11. But I don't know. But like Notre Dame should be at the back end of the top 10. And if they lose to Miami, then they should be at like, that's how it should be. When you only play one or two loosable games every year and you are now in a three game losing streak of making sure you lose all those games, yeah, I think you need to get docked. I think you need to get docked. I think it's a good top 25. Not my favorite, but well, thank you Liam. That means a lot to me now. Let me see your playoff. What's that? You have your playoff ready, right? The one that you said was ready week one. Now it's week eight. What's that? Playoff, playoff, college football, playoff 12 teams, going to be 24 next year. Used to be four. Used to be two for just national championship. Yeah, playoff, they skipped eight. They skipped eight. They didn't skip eight inches. They skipped eight and 16. We didn't need them. I used to 12, eight and 16, easily the most sensical numbers you can possibly have. And the college football was like, nope, fuck that, nope, going right back. Like eight and 16 with no buys. Why does there have to be a buy? I don't, I would, I, I stand, I think eight would have been perfect. Eight to me and people took my rant last week as me just saying, I'm just laying down and sucking on the college football for whatever the 16 is the perfect number to me. I think 16 is the number, but I don't think 24 is some sport killing albatross that other people have claimed that it is the same people, the, by the way, the same people that are saying, boy, get used to Ohio State and Alabama and Georgia getting another chance every year and then winning it every year. Well, the same people who were saying it when it went from four to 12 and Indiana wanted it in the second fucking year. So these theories of why it's going to fail have already been disproven in year two of the 12 teamer. I really, I really get agitated that teams with two losses right now, who started the year ranked so high, still have margin fair of two more losses in 2014 plan. Like that, that just kind of hurts my soulless soul. So that, that, that's an issue, um, yeah, preseason rankings, beings will, will be even more of a factor in the 24 team playoff because it will be harder for teams to fall out. But I think the biggest problem playing in the sport, and I think I'm the only one saying it in the entire country right now. At some point, y'all got to listen to me. Scheduled disparities, the biggest problem we got in the sport. The fact that certain teams can just coast and, and have one or two big games a year and other teams have to go through eight or nine game gauntlets is ridiculous. A couple of years going, Indiana was able to do it in the against the big 10 schedule, got them going. Uh, Tennessee did it a couple of years ago, last year, A and M was the biggest offender in the SEC. They had such an easy SEC schedule that they could not make the playoff and they get there and they get beat immediately and it's not fair that certain teams, it's like if I started a marathon, Liam and me and Luke, you're gonna, you and Luke, we're gonna run a marathon for charity. Uh, I'm running 26 miles, you're running 58 miles and Luke, he's running 115 miles. Well, I'm probably gonna win that one. So, uh, yeah, it's just, that's what it is. I think schedule disparity is the biggest issue we have in coastal wall right now. Yeah, I'm gonna get past the marathon thing. Don't care about that. Uh, not gonna ask anyone to give me mind or walk a few years saying that I wasn't saying we're gonna run a marathon. I was hypothetical. Oh, okay. Yeah. I thought I was bulltake money. I thought that was the right way. I was making, I was making a point. Gotcha. Uh, schedule disparity being the biggest joking college football is not bulltake money at all. It's just a cold, hard stone fact, however you say that, um, it's a significant issue, Brandon. It's sorry. It is a significant issue. And if we're going to 24 teams, then we've got to put the conferences back in place, maybe not to what it was, but figure it out in some way to where it makes more sense, to where stuff is more even UCLA and USC just use those two schools, I example, same city. Look at the difference in the schedule. UCLA schedule significantly easier than USC's. It's not fair. end in your three-year schedule is significantly easier.
the Ohio State like, what are we doing with that? - Yeah, it's not fair, it's not right. And at some point, these bigger conferences have created these avenues for teams to just coast into the playoff and they gotta get rid of that. If you wanted to be fair across the board, if you want 24 teams fine, make sure everybody's playing about the same thing. I'm not going to be sitting there in the eight. It's going to come straight into it's power. Does that mean play? And it gets going to be in there itself, right? And it's still going to be dancing. Never, never. You know what, it's ridiculous. It was a tough game in Provo. And all of a sudden, he had been saying, he don't deserve to get pro vaccination. Did the ESPN just hate you today? Always. - As someone who is a card-carrying member of the I Love Happy Frank, I am going to not react to Mad Frank. I'm simply going to say welcome to the show, Mad Frank. I hope we don't have to hear from you again this year. I hope Notre Dame brings Happy Frank back in our lives. The idea that the playoff comedies against Notre Dame is one of the craziest things I've ever heard in my entire life. Oh my God. Voice mail number two, please. - It's all from the park and lot outside of standard. San Fristadian, where I've been sitting here for about an hour in silence because I'm not ready to live in a fucking world where UCLA has a better record than Georgia. No offense, Blutman. But I just wanted to say big shout out to the greatest voice in college football. A wise man once said that this year when you're on top of the SEC one week, you're bound to get kicked down a peg or two the next week. And here we are. And even you, Jay, is an immune to Brandon Walker's ball knowledge. - Wow. - Wow. That's probably the nicest thing anybody's ever said to me and sad from a parking lot in their team stadium. All right. Thank you. What an official guy. He's found so bad in the parking lot. - Hey, no, no, no, no, no, no. I don't know his name. I didn't hear his name. You're not going to talk about my friend. I've sat in many a stadium parking lot. Me and my dad after 1996, Alabama, Mississippi State, sat in that parking lot in our Chevy S10 for 45 minutes. Just, and he's just going on and on. They already got football. Why don't they get to take basketball from us too? And I was like, just relax, Daddy. And so I've been in that situation a lot after the Texas game last year. Me and Cody and White were stuck in traffic. I was just sitting with my head on the steering wheel like this. Well, they partner with FaceTime. I've been that guy. Ooh. - I've been stuck in a parking lot too. It is the visual of a Georgia fan. Seeing his team lose as three touchdown favorites, he's in the parking lot doesn't know what to do with his life. The whole world is crashing. And he goes three, one, two, six, eight, five. - Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. - They ain't nothing. I can't offend three at the water. (laughing) Postman number three, please. - That's killing me. (laughing) - He's just calling in to complain about Alabama and Ryan fucking grub. He needs to be fired immediately. I mean, this son of a bitch doesn't know how to run the football when you need to run the football. He doesn't know how to throw the football when you need to throw the football. We got routes taken 40 yards to go down field. And all of a sudden, he expects our quarterback to be able to sit back there for eight seconds against one of the top pass rushes in America. This is the failure of that system. It isn't the worst fault it's grubbed. This is sorry shit from the coaches. This is the worst thing I've ever seen. - No, you don't get to complain Alabama fans. 'Cause I've told you what the play style is. I've told you how they play football. I've told you how to beat it. And you guys thought it was really funny when you beat Mississippi a couple of weeks ago. So yeah, we'll play soft football now. Do we, are we puts these now? Yeah, yeah, y'all. And Tennessee showed it to you. So you don't get to come complain and say, Ryan grub, oh it's offensive coordinator fault. And then say in the same breath, it's not Caleb de Boer's fault. Who the fuck do you think hired Ryan grub? How can you possibly say it's one coach's fault, but not the guy who hired him? Are you fucking kidding? Voice mail number four, please. - Fucking blow it up. Fuck archmaning, fuck Steve Sarknesian, fuck will must champ. With Colin Simmons out, we are fucked. There is nothing less to do this season. Just blow it up. - That one felt fake. (laughs) I'm not gonna lie. - I do like that. - Yeah, that one felt fake. That one felt like let me get on the voice mail segment. I'm not gonna lie. The other three sounded real. That one, that one felt fake. What's a voice mail number five, please? - Hey, we just beat for the first time in my fucking life. For the first time in my life, I'm 21. We just beat fucking Georgia. Fuck the COVID score and the fuck has room. - No? Wait, he's 20, what, no they didn't. They beat George in his life. Right, what's the last time they beat Georgia? Was it, well, Auburn's beaten Georgia. I know they beat him in 2013, but it puts him in, what, eight years old? - He was 12. - Wait, how, what, he's 17. - What, don't, they beat him in 2017. (laughs) - What, what's he, what, what was that? - No, no, I'm like, I'm like, I'm 10. - He was born at 13. - I hope you guys use my show to realize how stupid people can be. Ah, this rocks. It was 12. We might need to do a voice mail's only show. - They beat the hell out of 'em, too. And just wait, they beat the shit out of 'em in 2017. Isn't that the year that Georgia played for a national title? (laughs) - All right, wow, voice mail number six, please. - This rocks. - Lookie. - This is Corey, I'm a big Alabama fan. Big DeBorgah, but holy hell, did we look unprepared for this Tennessee game? I just don't get it, man. I don't know what the frig needs to change for something has to. Thank you, Brandon, I love the show. - Thank you, sir. I know it has to change, you have to get away from Katelyn DeBorgah, so that's Brandon football. And if I'm counting right, that means we have one more voice mail, voice mail number seven, please. - I counted wrong. (laughs) - Somehow that tells me that we don't have eight. That means we had six. - Yeah, there was an extra one that is no, and I still counted wrong. - Oh. - Boy, oh boy. You want to do our games draft, Blutman? - Yeah, yeah. After I tell you about this episode being sponsored by Tony's famous Cajun Kick, let's salt more garlic, a clean hit of heat. I don't know if they want me to do this. I put some Tony's Cajun Kick into my chili. I made my first chili of the year yesterday. I love my seasoning. I put all the meats in there. I got three pounds of ground beef. I got a pound of sausage. I got the, I like beans and chili. I got the beans and the chili. I got the tomatoes. I got the fire versus the tomatoes. I got the peppers. I got the onions. I got all the things in there. And I hit it with a dash of this Tony's Cajun Kick. Perfect, perfect, unbelievable. It's a new blend based in the Tony's tradition. Let's salt more garlic, a clean hit of heat, using a place of salt and pepper. It comes from Tony's chasheries, but has more attitude, not replacing the original Tony's. of the week you go first yep yep I will be taking I'm going to take Ole Miss at Texas I think that's the right pick here um for a lot of reasons that we've already discussed in mind I football's coming up so let's just Ole Miss at Texas that's interesting I think that's a pretty solid pick I not what I would have picked with number one um actually I got my top two on the board here so I'm SEC guy so I'll just go ahead and take uh I guess I'll take my top two thank you very much for letting them fall to me uh and the thing I get sick of is guys like you thinking that football has only played at the FPS level uh it pisses me off sometimes that you think we're only a show about uh FPS and we don't pay attention to any other levels I think the heart and soul of college football is at the FCS level and that's why my number one pick or my my number two pick I guess because you picked Ole Miss Texas you know you know that's not that big of a deal um give me number six North Dakota at number eight South Dakota I mean when these two teams get together um you talk about some absolute wars between the Dakotas it's a fantastic atmosphere uh you've got two top ten teams playing there in South Dakota at the town that they play in it's going to be incredible the S my FCS pick number one per million yeah yeah exactly so there you go uh and I was surprised you didn't take that off the board I appreciate you it's a it's a beautiful beautiful dome they've got South Dakota I know the the turf's like concrete it's unbelievable and and and listen FCS teams you send me helmets if you won't just know that I've got you I got your backs crazy but that with that one you know that that one little joke is we we have fun here new number number one the FCS Tarleton State first time ever my number two pick boy anytime you got number two Steven F Austin going on the road you got Steven F Austin going on the road to Southeast Louisiana number two against number 23 a rank matchup down there and Hammond Louisiana or Mandaville I don't know where the fuck it is it's down there somewhere uh maybe slide ill probably Hammond though feels like Hammond Southeast Louisiana is uh it's it's just they've been waiting for this big opportunity now they get the number two team coming in there with Steven F Austin who just got replaced by Tarleton State so I've got uh those are my top two games of the week what are you doing I'm sorry Liam at some when I when I when I added you to the show yeah yeah it seems like you only think football is played at the FBS level that's that's actually fair uh pisses me off yeah that that's fair um so I'll be taking I'll be taking North Dakota State at New Mexico uh Jason Eck and Tim Paul is like two of the most fun coaches and ball they do their stuff and their practices are entirely different love them both Jason Eck doing tricks on it right now yeah you mark that one off because I took it Jason Eck is doing skits and bits right now for the social team he's doing the oh I'm on the team playing right now the has in the first half not gonna lie he's not gonna turn over about the way the sidelines he's going in the ticket office to try and sell tickets for his game that's where the pregame show should have been this week and then uh buh buh buh buh buh Houston Utah giving Houston Utah Houston knocks off Utah hmm that's a good pick that's a solid pick right there that's a solid pick give me Montana State at Weber State uh I I think listen no bigger Montana State fan than me I love the boys from from Bozeman or from Billings or from Missoula Bozoula the boys from Bozoula orange orange meat what are you harsh Bozeman I said Bozeman at first asshole why didn't you say it was right and then you canceled I didn't cancel I said have two picks around yours out yeah I do um shoot dude shoot give me uh number four give me number four queens they're going up at McMaster who's number eight what do you do what's up there uh you you here's like with you Brad Walker somehow somehow you think college football is only played in America you don't think they play college football in Canada so give me queens at McMaster and then hold on just like because I got to find my other pick it somewhere in my notes and I can't seem to find it right now uh where is this if you have your pick two go ahead and say no no no no no no no no
