Finding God At The End of Ourselves!

Ah, from Saskatoon. Amen. It's just amazing. I was wondering if Sister Landero is the one leading the praise and worship there. Is she the one? Is she the one? Because I've been looking and asking my neighbor while I was eating. I think I know that lady. Who is that lady? And she mentioned the name, the first name, and I don't know the first name. And I said, wow, what a powerful, I can feel it, you know. It's different when, you know, when you are singing in the Spirit. You can feel it. That's the anointing of God. A lot of good singers, but if there's no anointing of God, nothing happens. Hallelujah. That's why, amen, you will experience those, you know, special moving of the Holy Spirit. Either you are preaching or you are singing. Amen. You have to do it, you know, by kneeling down. And humbling yourself to the Lord. Brethren, God is so good to us. I don't know about you, but God is so good. I am truly blessed with our family come, district family come. From all the messages, all the preaching. When in fact, I think it was the second to the last day. The theme there is learn. And if you remember, I preach about that still learning and the same scripture, and I thank the Lord for that, because we know that the Spirit will give us even the Spirit of God will give us the grace and the mercy, and the love. That's the reason why all my life, actually, even when I was young, when I was just a boy, I learned to love the Lord, and I never regretted. And not because I am told to be a pastor, but deep in my heart, even when I was young, when I was just a boy, even when in fact I was baptized, I think seven or eight years old, when I was baptized in Jesus' name, you know, the pastor put me aside, because I make a line, and then I make a line there. And when it's my turn, the pastor will just put me aside, because I'm too young. And then I will make line again. I don't want to go home without water baptism in Jesus' name. And until now, it's still fresh in my heart, the love of Jesus, the goodness of the Lord. I intend, by the grace of God, until the last breath that I have, I will keep on praising my Lord. Hallelujah. I don't know if in the house or here, anywhere, until the last breath, I commit myself to the Lord. I really love Him. It's not because of religion. It's not because of inner reasons, human reasons, to be famed. No, it's not. I just love Him, and I just love the Word of God. Father, in the name of Jesus, thank you. Thank you for giving us this wonderful opportunity to be under your presence, under your grace, and your mercy. We are nothing without your Father. Thank you, God, that you're still extending grace and mercy to all of us today. Lord, bless us and allow us to feel the power of the Holy Spirit in our lives. Amen. Amen. Amen. which came to us in asia that we we were we were pissed out of measure look at that this is a testimony of paul the man of god the one who received the mercy and the grace of god when he was still a persecutor a killer a murderer but when he was converted to the lord when he was transformed by personal encounter with jesus he became an apostle and he had this testimony for we would not brethren have you ignorant of our trouble which come to us in asia that we were pissed out of mission and we would not be able to be a part of the church and we would not be able to be a part of the church sometimes they say oh pastor you are so strongly brother you are not discouraged you don't have any disappointments but look at all in so much that we despaired even of life and in verse 9 but we had the sentence of death in ourselves look at that we we had the symptoms of death in ourselves that we should not trust in ourselves but in god which reset the dead who delivered us from so great death a death and did deliver in home we trust that he will yet deliver us if you are in despair if you are down if you are discouraged if you are judged by somebody you are in this situation hallelujah but then in whom we trust that he will yet deliver us come on church you can be bigger than that come on i want to hear the ladies i want to hear the many young people in the name of jesus in the name of jesus in the name of jesus in the name of jesus in the name of jesus amen i want to speak to you on the subject finding god at the end of ourselves when you exhaust everything your money your talent your giftings finding god at the end no more no more strength you can still find god turn around and seek the hand of your brother and sister finding god at the end of yourself hallelujah hallelujah god bless you you may be seated those account in this missionary journey in Asia filled with hardship and difficult trials it's not easy probably we have a lot of pastors ministers who are ministering in a place like Canada when less dangerous dangerous but if you are pastoring a church in the Philippines particularly in Mindanao particularly in our place in Mindanao brethren it's not easy how many times I was driving going to passing many many places in Makilala kid a power one kutabato then going to the sultan kudarat one time I was stopped by a group of people and I stopped and they asked me many questions they asked me about my license driver's license and then my family was with me my my wife and my my children and then he tried to find something that he can question me to hold my license and in case I will not give money what will happen is he will hold my license and tell me to go to another town to get my license so think about that think about the hassle think about the difficulty going to the place but then my wife and my kids and few of my workers were praying Lord help us and if you that place brethren if you are from the Philippines you heard that that that the area there was the there was a time that the the other group other politicians were killed group of them that they were buried you did by group they were all massacred and killed in that area it's so dangerous so bravely and thank God that prayer works and then my wife was praying and we're praying and he just talked to them you know I explained that I'm a pastor and then we just went there for a revival service this and explained I you know I wholeheartedly talked to the guy and eventually he was touched by the Lord and he returned my license and said yes sir make yourself sir okay go ahead proceed with your journey and that I cannot forget brethren it was the move of God and I believe that you know Paul here during his missionary journey in Asia filled with hardship and difficulties trials and disasters I already preached to you if I think in the first or second Corinthians chapter 11 about the difficulties that he experienced Paul experienced during his ministry and if you happen to study the life of the apostles of Jesus Christ many of them were killed tortured you know hang on the cross I think there was uh I I believe that it was Thomas that was crucified you know uh how do you call it just like Chris uh X by X he was crucified in X position and Peter was crucified upside down some of them were killed by by uh by spear by sword every one of them except John the Beloved were spared during the journey is filled of hardship and difficulties and disasters the same thing with our lives today when we are living here in this world we are prone to all this hardship and even disasters in our lives and that's the reason why we need God we need to pray we need to submit ourselves to God we know that our life is just like a vapor that appeared for a time and then he set away we are only one breath away than death we do not have any guarantee that we're still alive tomorrow you it's not a guarantee that you are still young and you know I'm an educated person and I'm very good driver a very good professional but no it's not a guarantee the only guarantee is that if your life is in the hand kept by the Lord Jesus Christ clap your hands and worship the Lord when disaster strikes there's a question there when disaster strikes what will be your reaction will something happen in your life in your family what will be your reaction ladies and gentlemen if you have ever survived disaster you may understand what other survivors have experienced you will you will experience it and you you will be thankful that you survived and those people who survived ladies and gentlemen you are so thankful you understand their situation and even right now I believe that there are a lot of us here if not by the grace of God we are not here anymore it was only by the grace of God that we are still alive we can still enjoy the presence of God we can still praise God with all of our heart we can worship him in spirit and in truth ladies and gentlemen come on everybody clap your hands in the Lord hallelujah when you experience all those things this disaster some of us will be shocked right some of us will just do you know a life of denial confusion anxiety years. I remember one time after many years of serving God, you know, when we were in Cebu, I received my first blessing, a motorcycle. The best motorcycle that I have among the pastors. It was 1980s. I received the Yamaha 125, a gift from a pastor from the US. And I used it for my radio broadcast, my evangelism, my pastoral ministry. And then when we transferred to when we transferred to Davao, I asked the Lord, please give me a car. Because motorcycle has just only two wheels. Give me four wheels, Lord. I did not ask, you know, my faith is very low, though I am an evangelist. But I saw these four wheels. And you know what the Lord gave me? Ford Fira. Ford. That's why I love Ford. Because my first car is Ford Fira, a very old one. And the engine is different. 4K engine Toyota. Remember the benefits? They keep on changing the engine. It's not original, but the body is, yeah, Ford Fira. And then I'm so proud. I had to travel from Davao to go to my, to visit my parents in South Putabato. So I used my Ford Fira. I drove it. You know, but I did not realize that there are a lot of problems. And I will be climbing to the mountain. The death mountain. But if you will miss, you will die. It's very dangerous. It's very dangerous. Then we climb up, go down, climb up, go down, and finally we arrive in the canary South Putabato. And we're so glad. The problem is we go back. Because the brake is only, you know, we only tie it. And I, until now, I have still the nightmare, brother. when my car going down. All my kids, they were still little. Pastor King is very still a baby during that time. When I push the brake, it's like somebody is cracking. And my Lord is going down. Until now, I don't know who hold that full fear. Because I was able to stop it when I tried to. Because it's manual. Oh my Lord. And then, by God's grace, it stopped. Because the right side is all bangin. Was that the cliff? Yeah. I was able to go another side. But there's a danger. Because there's also coming. You know? Cars. But until now, if I will think about that, actually, my wife did not know it. My children did not know it. I only knew it. I keep it in my heart. The dangers that I have experienced. It was by the grace of God that we were able to reach home. And when we arrived home, I'm so thankful. To the Lord. I kneel down to the church and I thank God. Lord, thank you for saving my family. The same thing with the life of Apostle Paul. Brethren, so, we have some nightmares. Knowing the Bible truth makes life worth living. Everybody, read that statement. Makes life worth living. That's why we need the Word of God. Listen to this, brethren. In Ecclesiastes 7, 8, Better is the end of a thing than the beginning thereof. And the patient in spirit is better than the proud in spirit. Better is the end of a thing than the beginning thereof. And the patient in spirit is better than a proud in spirit. And I love the teaching during our Family Cup about humility. I appreciate it. In Isaiah 65, 19. Pastor Ken, if you can read with me. Isaiah chapter 65, verse 19. And I will rejoice in Jerusalem, and joy in my people, and the voice of weeping shall be no more heard in her, nor the voice of crying. In this life, right now, we have some cryings. We have some agonizing. We experience some pain. But this verse, I love it. And I will rejoice in Jerusalem, and the joy in my people, and the voice of weeping shall be no more heard in her, nor the voice of crying. Are you not glad, church? That after all that we are experiencing in this life, if we will remain faithful in God, if we will remain to be in Jerusalem, Jerusalem one day will rejoice. It is not because they are so powerful. It is because God is with them. Clap your hands to the Lord if you believe it. No more crying, no more pain, ladies and gentlemen. No more heartaches, no more disappointment. Hallelujah. Because God has promised that they will be rejoicing. I declare to you right now, by the grace of God, that your joy is coming. Your rejoicing is coming. Come on, somebody, if you believe it. There are some relationship that's been trying to destroy by the devil. But I declare right now, hallelujah, Isaiah 65, 9, 10. No more crying there. No more weeping there. All rejoicing by the grace of God. Come on, somebody. Come on, somebody, shout out your hallelujah. In Psalms 37, 11. But the meek shall inherit the earth and shall delight themselves in the abundance of peace. Some of you are kind of asleep. You've been thinking many things. Hallelujah. But the Lord in this service today, but the meek shall inherit the earth and shall delight themselves in the abundance of peace. In this world, a lot of troubles, a lot of pain, dangers. Brethren, hallelujah. But thank God, if you are meek in the spirit, hallelujah, you will inherit the earth, the new earth, and shall delight themselves in the abundance of peace. Are you not glad that you can sleep at night? And thanking the Lord, hallelujah, for the peace that passeth all understanding. And in verse 29, hallelujah, the righteous shall inherit the land and dwell therein forever. This is the promise of God. Amen. Can you still remember the day when your prayers were answered? Probably you received a letter of approval of your application to migrate to Canada. And if you are a Canadian, are you not glad that one day you are blessed? Some of you are so happy the day when you got married? When the girl that you are courting say yes when you offer your love to her? Maybe that was a most exciting day in your life. And for us, Filipinos who are here in Canada right now, hallelujah, can you still remember the day when you received the letter that said, you are proved! I believe some of you will rejoice! Come on, church! It's not easy to enter Canada, but God opened the door for you. And we are here when in fact you make commitment to the Lord. Lord, when you allow me to go there, I will honor you, I will worship you, I will serve you. Sometimes we only love to serve God when we are in good health and a good situation. When you are handsome and beautiful, when your children are all healthy, you can rejoice. But how about if there are some challenges? Hallelujah! Hallelujah! Hallelujah! Praise the name of the Lord! Brethren, that's the real thing when you can still rejoice in spite of the fact that you are facing all those challenges that will make the face of God's way. That will make the face of God's way. That will make the face of God's smile! Hallelujah! That's why let's not forget to remember the goodness of God in our lives. Don't ever ignore it. Don't ever forget it. God has given us the chance and that's a wonderful chance of salvation. We have to treasure it. We have to value it, ladies and gentlemen. Hallelujah! Because a lot of us, most of the people, there's a tendency that they tend to forget, brethren. Either you are in the city or in the town or in anywhere you're living. Some people, we have noticed some people even in the Philippines, there in the mountain, they have a wonderful, wonderful church. They are so faithful in the church. But once they go to the city, something happens. They cannot go to church anymore. They cannot worship God anymore. They have a lot of alibis. And God is not happy with that. Hallelujah! Either in the city or in the town or in the bayou, in the community, we have to serve God! Hallelujah! Hallelujah! Thank you for watching! this is the picture of your family imagine your family hallelujah you are here now in Canada you migrated and there was a family in the bible actually when I study this it's about a romantic story you know very romantic story in fact there is a song there that we often sung that song during wedding time wedding ceremony something like that here in Ruth chapter 1 verse 1 and 2 now it came to pass in the days when the judges ruled that there was a famine in the land and a certain man of Bethlehem Judah went to sojourn in the country of sojourn they travel they migrate this family they migrated to the place in Moab and he and his wife he and his wife and his two sons just like your family even you and your wife and your children your two sons verse 2 and the name of the man was Elimelech and the name of the man was Elimelech and the name of the man was Elimelech and his wife is Naomi and the name of his two sons Malon and Chilion Ephratites and Bethlehem Judah and they came into the country of Moab and continued there look at the family they migrated you know what's the reason? why they migrated? to Moab because during that time in Israel they migrated there was farming you see? there was farming no food and people are so cruel people are so dangerous people don't love one another they have a different set of mind the reason why they have no king they have no leader so they have no king so they just do what they want to do and that's the picture there and this family to save his family they travel to go to Moab Moab is not Israel probably there was prosperity in Moab that's the reason why they were there you know and when they were there we can see here this is the reason this is the reason why they have this kind of situation during that time in Israel in Judges 21-25 in those days there was no king in Israel no king in Israel every man did that which was right in his own eyes the reason why they had this kind of situation because of their disobedience to God the children of Israel they were the children of God but what happened they are just doing what they wanted to do they have no leader to listen to they disrespect the leader and that's dangerous because famine will come if you will not listen if there is no leader in those days there was no king in Israel every man did what was right in his own eye so ladies and gentlemen the very reason of this calamity and disasters because of their disobedience everybody say disobedience resulted in slavery and disaster and that is the reason that's why we disobey God brethren it's so dangerous because the hand, the presence of God he will withdraw it from you he will withdraw it from you he will withdraw it from you look at Deuteronomy 11:16-17 verse 16 take heed to yourselves that your heart be not deceived and you turn aside and serve other gods brethren if you serve the God of the world it's so dangerous and worship them it's so dangerous and worship them and then the Lord's wrath be kindled against you don't you know that if we rebel against God my brother, my sister it will kindle it kindled the wrath of God we cannot escape when in fact right now there are even people that they are already preparing some sardines and they are already preparing some food and some food in their refrigerator because of the news that I think August what date is that that there will be there will be an alignment of the planets again and there will be something catastrophe will happen and there are even people who are advising right now that you need to be careful because the next pandemic is not the pandemic that we experienced two thousand twenty twenty nineteen or twenty twenty twenty one but the pandemic of the collapse of the internet what will happen to the hospitals the government the bank and everything if no more wifi no more internet what will happen when there's only black out or brown out we're already shocked and there's already a warning you need to be careful because the next pandemic it's not like the pandemic before but the pandemic that collapse of what we are trusting right now the internet the EI and everything you cannot use your phone anymore your bank your money your quarter in the bank you cannot withdraw it anymore where can you get the money no more gas anymore can you imagine what will happen to the people if that warning will come to pass so dangerous that's why right now we need to be right with God church I humbly come to you make yourself right with God amen amen amen hallelujah right now we can still connect God but look at these people the wrath engulfed against you and he shut up the heaven and that in all way and that the land will know her fruit unless you produce quickly from of the good land which the Lord giveth you I will pass this Sunday sometimes you just ignore the word of God I will just pass this Sunday I will just enjoy myself it's you know it's summer time so I just enjoy myself I'm not against enjoying yourself but make sure you are connected with God somebody I texted somebody last night and I said he says I we miss you in the church pastor all this and that oh pastor a lot of alibis and told me hi pastor ok pastor I told I will be preaching about about truth tomorrow oh pastor I will just listen online I will just listen online you know it's good to listen online but even in the church you know sometimes I will go out there and go to the washroom and I put myself at the back it's very distracting if you are sitting at the back a lot of people are passing a lot of people are talking you know in my life I'm making sure that I want to be at the front it's possible it's possible hallelujah why? because I don't want to be there because I don't want to be there because I don't want to be there I want to get the message from the Lord today hallelujah I want to hear his voice hallelujah after about 10 years more up in Ruth chapter 1 verse 4 and 5 and they took them wives of the woman of Moab the two sons of Elimelech and Naomi took their wives and they took them from the women of war. The name of the one was Orpah. And the name of the other is Ruth. And they dwelled there about ten years. They dwelled there about ten years. Verse 5, And Malon and Chilion died also both of them. And the woman was left of her two sons and her husband. The previous verse we read a while ago, in Ruth I believe 4, that Elimelech died, right? Elimelech died? Okay? The husband of Naomi died. And now, after ten years, the two sons, their wives, they grew up, but what happened? Their husbands died. What a disaster! If you will, if you will experience that, what do you feel? Oh, I don't want my wife to die. My wife don't want me to die. That's why she give her kidney to me. If not, I'm already in heaven. Hallelujah. But this story, Malon and Chilion died also both of them. So that is the family who will die. Who went to Moab. The sons and her husband died. Ladies and gentlemen, imagine the situation of a widow during the time women were discriminated. Nothing they own. They are the last among the people. You know, widows, women in this time are low in society. They are the lowest in society. They are not considered. They are not even counted. They are discriminated. Even in the Old Testament. So, in the part, it's so hard. Hallelujah. These women came to the end of themselves. Wow! No more. Naomi said, "My husband died." And then the two ladies from Moab, their husband died as well. So, they have the choice. Amen. To stay or go. They have the choice. Naomi said, "I have to go back to Israel, to Jerusalem." Amen. In Ruth chapter 1 verse 6. Verse 6. "Then she arose with her daughters-in-law, that she might return from the country of Moab. For she had heard in the country of Moab how that the Lord had visited his people in giving them bread. Wherefore she went forth out of the place where she was, and her two daughters-in-law with her. And they went on the way to return unto the land of Judah." They reached to the end of themselves. Verse 8. "And Naomi said unto her two daughters-in-law, 'Go, return each to her mother's house.'" This is now the end of ourselves. I cannot help you anymore. I cannot be a child for you to be your husband. And you cannot wait for it. If I have my husband tonight, and if I deliver a baby, you cannot wait for that baby. You cannot wait for that baby. So He said, "We are at the end of ourselves. Go return to your mother's house. The Lord will come with you, as you have dealt with the dead and with me." My brothers and sisters of the Lord, that is the situation. It's time for them to decide. Decision matters. Whether they will go back or they will continue. So let's continue reading. Verse 9. "The Lord grant you that ye may find rest each of you in the house of her husband. Then she kissed them and they lifted up their voice and wept." Whoa, what a sad story. They have to be separated. Okay? And then verse 10. And they said unto her, "Surely we will return with thee unto thy people." Okay, I encourage you, please return to your people. My daughter-in-laws. Okay. Return to your people. Verse 11. And Naomi said, "Turn again." Turn again, my daughters. Why will you go with me? Why are you going to come with me? Are there yet any more sons and daughters? Turn again, my daughters. my God. Wherever you die, I shall die unburied beside. Hallelujah. Hallelujah. Hallelujah, Jesus. Verse 18. When she saw that she was steadfastly minded to go with her, then she left speaking unto her. Wow. It's that kind of determination to serve God in our heart today. Lord, I love you. You saved me by your grace. You gave me a chance to serve you. David in the Bible committed sin against God. He committed adultery against Bathsheba He paid the price because of the death of their son but he repented and he prayed to God, create in me a clean heart, O God and renew a right spirit within me. I pray in the service today that I will commit me to the Lord. Lord, I may be, this will be the end of myself. But thank you, Lord, that after this, there is a hand helping me. Come unto me. Only that labor that I have laden, and I will give you rest. Ladies and gentlemen, today, hallelujah. I declare to you by the grace of God, finding God, ladies and gentlemen, hallelujah, finding God at the end of ourselves. As we read in Ruth already, verse 19 to 22, hallelujah, if you will just follow when there's no more hope, this is now the end, now we say this will be the end. But Ruth said, no, I will not go back to the place where I lived before. I want to go with you. And you know, this is not the end of the story. But Ruth became the grandmother of Jesus. A Moabites, a Gentile, but became because of her commitment and dedication. Young people that are here today, I still believe that they are still young people that will stand in this last days like Ruth, stand for righteousness, that our spiritual identity, amen, will never change. We will serve God no matter what. If the people in the past, they are willing to die because of Christ. Hallelujah. The Christians in our day are willing to die because of Christ. in Nigeria 50,000 died because of persecution. How many pastors were apprehended in China? When in fact, they experienced not only the flood in China, but they experienced fire falling down from heaven, burned their buildings. Why is that? Because they are persecuting the Christians. But the Christians, they don't give up. Some of the young ladies that are caught, they are burned with cigarettes by the police. They go, they march naked, they are burned with cigarettes, but they will never give up. Why? Because they are committed. They are committed. Hallelujah. And treat me not to live there. I will serve you, God. Hallelujah. Come on, church. Come on, everybody. Hallelujah. We can find God's providence beyond circumstances of life. I said we can find God's providence beyond, behind circumstances of life. Why? Why we can find providence? Because we know that God is a big O. Everybody say O. And what is that O? Glory to God. Hallelujah. Be like Naomi. Not Job's wife. What is that? Naomi? Why? died we turn decided to return to Jerusalem I believe that there are sons and daughters that will return to Jerusalem don't you know that the church is our Jerusalem we turn to Jerusalem but Job's wife said Job what happened to you what happened to your help what happened to you but Naomi said no I'm not like that I want to go back to Jerusalem to worship the true and the living God hallelujah be like Ruth everywhere in the Bible God is consistently depicting us good loving righteous merciful and powerful God we know that God is omnipresent right omnipresent that's the big O omnipresent omnipotent omniscient compassionate and holy oh yeah they say then where is God the loss of loved ones where is God the loss of financial security where is God bankruptcy of the business where is God the within the family they will ask where is God the closing of the church doors the death of a child ladies and gentlemen hallelujah in spite of all those things amen for me it makes sense that the God that was serving as a real God he never loses power he is still a sovereign God he is still the Almighty God he is still the alpha and the omega he is still the beginning and the ending he is still the first and the last hallelujah there are kinds of things that I believe there are kinds of things that I believe hallelujah there are kinds of things that I believe Cause many people to think that there isn't a God. Or if there is a God. He obviously doesn't care. That's what other people are thinking. There's no sense in serving God. That's what they say. But hear the word of the Lord's church. In Job chapter 1 verse 20. Hallelujah. This is what we're going to say. Then Job arose and rent his mantle. And shaved his head. And fell down upon the ground and worshipped. This is after disaster, catastrophe, tragedy. His children died. His wife betrayed him. You know. Yeah. And everything. All losses. But what he did is. Then Job. What? Arose. Everybody say arose. He stood up. And rent his mantle. And shaved his head. His head. And fell down. Upon the ground. And worshipped. And worshipped. At the end of yourself. Stand up. Repent of yourself. And worship God. Hallelujah.
