And it's a little bit karmic because I used to make fun of how often you were sick, but. Yeah, that's all it is. You know, it's. I just wish I knew what was going on. I was fine all day. And then Jacob and I did a 7 to 9.30 p.m. live stream. And then I felt a headache, which is fine. I still have that, but that's fine. Then I ate a Trader Joe's dinner that I guess had been in the freezer for too long. But it said 10-26. Or it said, um, November. Yeah, October 26th. And it's only August or September. So I guess I caught it too close. No, you're fine. It's not that. Come on. You cut it too close. It's not that. It's not the source. Wait, wait. Wait, hold on a second. You think you ate something bad that says it goes bad by October and it's September 3rd? You have a migraine. You have a migraine. That's all. I guess. A little stressed out. You're all right. We're going to get some of Dan's favorite players to draft, and we're not really going to talk news and notes because this show, a lot of people are going to hear it on Saturday, and we have a Friday morning show. So, um, you know. You got to get to the Bears stuff, though. I mean, the Bears are fine. Swift and Odunze are fine, it seems. And we're going to talk about it. Swift was a cramp. Odunze was the foot. I don't know if that's fine. Well, that's what the report is, that he's fine. So we'll see what it says tomorrow. And we'll go from there. Dan, you want to tell us some of your favorite players? Maybe DeAndre Swift ate something that expires in December, and he feels like. I mean, we're a month away. I'm concerned about it. We're a month away. It had a little bit of freezer burn on it. I didn't think anything of it. And now I'm like, what the heck did I do to myself? If you said you ate something from August, like, I'd say, okay, maybe that's. It's October. I mean, it's a month away. He's just trying to figure out how he got sick. I get it. All right. Hey, well, actually, before we get to Dan's favorite players, I'm getting a lot of emails. Like, a lot of emails that are saying, hey, I drafted a team that I think you guys would really like, but my draft grade was terrible. And I just want you all to know, the draft grades don't mean anything. Whether they're on CBS or any website, don't worry about the draft grades. Yeah, they're just for fun. And I actually kind of have a funny story. I don't know what other sites do. Ours are just based on projections. It is totally an algorithm based on projections. Yeah. That we don't control. I don't control it. Dave doesn't control it. Heath doesn't control it. Dan doesn't control it. Adam doesn't control it. It's all based on our sports line projections. And it just. Yeah. Yeah. It's out of number. Yeah. And there could be a lot of spitting out on tonight's podcast. I have a bad feeling. Dan, if you puke on air, we'll still keep the same thing like the tennis match. A hundred bucks if you puke on air. Just saying, Jude. So, there's a team in one of our FFT Open Leagues where the manager never accepted the invitation and auto-drafted from. I don't remember what spot in the draft. It's the best grade of all? Eighth. Well, here's the team. Like, listen to this starting lineup. Auto-pick. Lamar Jackson. George Kittle. Jonathan Taylor. Derrick Henry. Rasheer Ice. Mike Evans. Cam Scadaboo at Flex. He's pretty good. Yeah. The bench has. No receivers, but yeah. The bench has Rico Dowdle. And then. The bench has the following five players. All quarterbacks? Mark Andrews. Harold Fannin Jr. Dallas Goddard. Travis Kelsey. And Brenton Strange. That's going to ruin the rest of the league, though. It drafted six tight ends for this team. And got an A+. Best grade of the draft. Like, it just cracks me up. So. I'll give you a little tip if you ever want to get an A grade on CBS. Uh-huh. Can you figure it out? Sort by the projections? No. What? Draft a bunch of quarterbacks? No. Five tight ends? Six tight ends? No. What? Draft Ravens. Oh, really? Mm-hmm. Because Stephen O. does our projections? Exactly. A Ravens fan does our projections. No. That's not fair. All right, Dan. Who are some players you keep drafting? All right. So. So, flag plan player for me this year, Marion Hampton. I've moved him all the way up to RB5, just behind James Cook. This is just behind. Just ahead of Chase Brown, unless it's full PPR. Then I'll put Brown ahead of him. Marion Hampton comes into a situation of the following. Last year, he was eighth in the NFL in 15-plus explosive runs despite playing behind an injured and horrific offensive line with the Chargers. He joins a scheme with Mike McDaniel that has produced the fourth-most fantasy, points in Mike McDaniel's tenure. Also, the fifth-most rushing touchdowns from his running backs. And let's remember, before last year, the Dolphins' offensive line was horrific. Last year, Berg emerged, and they had some good pieces, and they were, what, mid-pack, a little above average from an offensive line standpoint. This offensive line for the Chargers, sure, there's a couple in. There's an injury on the interior offensive line. They have two of the best tackles in the NFL. They have a quarterback who's going to force teams to play in cover three, cover six, cover two shell defenses. Hampton is going to eat on these outside runs. He's going to be a 14-to-16 touchdown type guy. And you don't see him coming off the field that often. So he's my flag plan player for the year. Anyone, do you want to react, or should I go for more? I'll just say one thing. Some of those teams that, actually two of them, that I got an email saying, I got a bad draft grade, and I have a team that started this way, too. Chase Brown, round one. Omari and Hampton, round two. It's one of my favorite starts. I think we all would agree on that. Yeah, totally. It's a rare year where I like picking in the back end of a snake draft a lot more than I like the four-and-a-half. Four through six. Yeah. Okay. Here's another one. Caleb Williams. I think he's going to be top three scorer in fantasy points at the quarterback position. Wow. Guess who had the three fastest times rushing last year? Omari and Hampton. No, not Lamar Jackson. That was from a quarterback. I'm just kidding. No, not Jackson Dart, who had nine rushing touchdowns himself. No, not Josh Allen. It was Caleb Williams. I don't think everybody realizes how fast he is and how big of a component that is his game. But where I'm really locking in on Caleb Williams is all the coach speak I've heard from Ben Johnson and Carmen Vitale, who covers the Bears and the Fox Sports. And she was down at camp and she said, look, it's a totally different camp for Caleb Williams. Last year, we were just trying to get the plays in. Just trying to figure out what was going on. Now he has full command of the offense. Over his last two seasons at USC, he had a 72. That's right. 72 touchdown passes over his final two seasons at USC. I don't think people realize what the ceiling is for a player. And a talent like Caleb Williams, if he's seeing the field well, if he's playing on time, if he's throwing from within the pocket. Last year, when Jacob and I watched the Bears, we watched way too much Bear State, more than any other team. There were so many missed opportunities because Caleb Williams did not see the field well. If he has command of that offense, this is light out. When Ben Johnson says we're looking to score the most points in the NFL, it's possible with a talent like him, three amazing receivers and a great offensive line. So I think he'll finish as a top three fantasy scorer and be this year's Drake May. I love it. We can leave it at that. Let's answer some questions. OK, draft-a-thon questions from Travis. 10-team Superflex League. Should I take Josh Allen or Jameer Gibbs with the first pick? gibbs i'm a gibbs guy too we went over this in our superflex adam you were shocked that somebody didn't take gibbs first overall and you got him at three overall i believe it was alan alan jackson gibbs and i was doing cartwheels i was so happy i had the third pick i think alan is probably the only quarterback i'd consider in that range though because he is so much like just the consistency he's put helps you so much in a superflex league but i would still go gibbs so i i saw uh jack caporto who made the pick of josh allen and he's the only one in that league lamar jackson pick jack made lamar jackson yeah because he auto picked oh marone i'm sorry marone took um you're correct but same same thing applies so they went quarterback court it went quarterback quarterback i just want to make sure i see who got who jack took in round two uh because it matters for either one for gibbs uh give me a set once you i'll give me a second i will uh pull up the draft board for you yeah i'm trying to find it too um are you gonna put it on yeah i'll put it on the screen i love this thing it's awesome it is awesome all right all right so he ends up in round two taking trevor lawrence so what he said was that he would have taken gibbs because and and dan even made mention of this i quoted dan in the story uh how weird it was that the quarterbacks did not come off the board to the same level that we saw in the past and dan was right because through the first three round count right now one two three four five six seven eight nine ten eleven twelve thirty so 13 quarterbacks through the first four rounds in this same draft last year 18 quarterbacks were drafted in the first four rounds oh wow so a pretty big difference in terms of how many quarterbacks were selected and what jack said picking two was had he known that he would have taken gibbs and then probably come back and take in lawrence and caleb williams or lawrence and purdy whoever the case may be in terms of the second quarterback he would have drafted and i think that's a better start i think he did a great job because he ended up kind of walker in round three mcconkey round four uh t higgins like he built a really good team despite going quarterback quarterback or not spite but uh going quarterback quarterback this was this was two very glaring uh approaches heath if you look at this went no quarterbacks until round seven when his quarterback his first quarterback is cj stroud and he's going stroud bryce young and then the falcons duo so he's going stroud and he's going stroud and he's going stroud and he's so he had to spend four picks for his quarterback so um i encourage you to read the story if you're in any superflex leagues this weekend any uh any drafts coming up and you can see a lot of different ways to go about building your team and rob thomas who was in the draft and he's in the chat right now he says can we recap the superflex league draft and roast me for taking puka over jamar chase and no i won't because puka averaged 23.6 points per game last year jamar chase's best season 23.7 i mean obviously i would take chase most people take chase but you do you and there's no reason there's it's not a bad argument obviously you got the off-field stuff but puka if he's playing every game he could easily be the best wide receiver again all right next question from the draftathoners this is from dan katona in my home league i'm going against my fantasy arch nemesis kevin in week one so i need two running backs two receivers and a flex he's got cook genti mike washington harvey and gainwell so we're going to go cook and genti he needs two wide receivers out of olave christian watson parker washington and michael wilson olave and washington that's what i was going to say and then we need two flexes out of watson wilson harvey and gainwell wow that's that's christian watson mike wilson rj harvey kenneth gainwell it's ppr i think so i think you go watson even though it's a tough matchup against minnesota and i would probably lean toward wilson but gainwell is very interesting because i do think he's going to be very involved in the passing okay uh emails fantasy football at cbs.com wilson big contract today michael wilson yes congratulations from jay and joysy how do you feel about that spelling of joysy dan don't love it but don't hate it any discussion of jersey i'm good with most underrated state in the nation it is it really is unbiased opinion there can you do it can you do a youtube poll just after dan we know how that's gonna go it has a bad bias against it but continuing to uh dan continuing to bash florida by every turn that he could when he was down here i hated that state which state would you rather live in florida and new jersey i mean look you don't pay taxes right in florida so that's a good thing but is there no income tax or something like that income tax yeah state income tax that's nice but the reality is in jersey you got the better food you got beaches that are just as close you got mountains i don't think that city how long does it take beaches are just as close that can't be true i mean for some people maybe but not for most people how long does it take to get to the beach too long 40 minutes you got the beaches i'm probably shaving off five minutes too but obviously i mean this one i mean ricky let's not go crazy or better food yeah it's not even close jersey has better food than than florida i think everyone even jamie would concur on that i don't know i got great pizza in south florida pizza time sorry sorry no they don't they don't listen this is from jay he says hey hey i think i'm still sick from that to be honest hey pete well i i could see that the mushrooms on their pizza expire uh in may of 2029 so i think you've got a little close there uh hey pete andre and andy i think oh i think that's uh tennis players yeah yeah i know you know the sport you can never beat me yet yeah i know you guys are pretty high on james cook this year but i haven't heard much discussion on the negatives of cook uh towards you know other backs with a smaller physical frame a large workload last year and a quarterback who vultures rushing touchdowns please discuss as i'm curious is he maybe just another level of talent or the offense projects to be so good to overcome these potential negatives for james cook i think for starters it's the talk and camp of him getting more involved in the passing game pete carmichael coming over as a history of utilizing their running backs in the passing game that's the start i think for any kind of hope to get you know for him to repeat what he did last year i'm i'm a little concerned just with the recent history of the rushing champion and losing 835 yards each of the last five rushing champions have lost 835 yards and six touchdowns um two of those guys have been injured so take that into consideration so it's not the biggest sample size and injuries are factored into it the only thing that i think is the saving grace like you said and then on top of that ty johnson's banged up who would be their passing downs guy and so i don't think that's ray davis stepping into that i think it's just more of james cook so uh with an offense that should be among the best in the nfl and a running back that just accomplished what he accomplished like there's a lot to love about james cook still yeah i mean look the play calling could maybe hurt him a little bit in the state like the emailer jay enjoys he asked about all the goal line carries that josh allen takes and he does but james cook gets a ton of them too because when this team over the last couple of seasons when they have gotten near the end zone they are so incredibly run heavy their run rate where have they right last year they were third in running back running back rush attempts from the three yard line or closer so rushing to rush attempts from the three yard line or closer like you know that they uh have a lot because there's josh allen i'm sorry i'm stumbling here because i'm looking for this stupid stat but they get very very run heavy near the end zone and so they both of those guys can eat essentially um but i don't really see anything changing he's really good and if you look at his total numbers from last year you have to remember that he barely played in week 18 so he averaged over 19 points per game with 12 rushing touchdowns in 16 games he could do better thank you sir we had 18 the year before right you think so maybe that was 18 total touchdowns uh he had yeah 18 total touchdowns the year before in 16 games um so i i i agree like he doesn't really feel like a typical round one pick at running back but i think that's because there just aren't that many running backs that catch 50 balls anymore it's not a prerequisite these days um all right i've Did you nuke those burgers? What'd you do with those burgers? Chuck them all in the oven? Called it a day? I, okay. I'll be honest with you. The read says I was going to cook the burgers in the hot tub. I'm not going to cook the burgers in the hot tub. I'm going to cook the burgers in the hot tub. I only cook the hot dogs. They were incredible. They were the best hot dogs I've had in a very long time. I still have the burgers, so I haven't made them yet. You have a good dog. You don't have dogs every now and then. They're always good when you randomly throw them in. They're great. When you have kids, you'll have hot dogs. They're the easiest thing to make. I mean, nothing better than eating hot dogs that are going to expire in like two months. Hot dogs never expire, I feel. Probably not. All right, here's Aaron. He says, hey, Jerome, Le'Veon, and Willie. Jerome, Le'Veon, and Willie. These are all Steelers running. I'm doing great today. I hit two of these. That's more than I hit in like a month in this show. I feel like everyone is ignoring the Steelers running backs, especially Rico Dowdle. They're going around RB30 each. Last year, the two Steelers running backs were 16th and 17th in scoring because they combined for over 110 catches. Old Man Rogers is still there and will be checking down a ton. Why is everyone so low on an RB duo that is a lock for 100 plus combined catches? It's a great call. I wish that. I wish that there was more clarity on who was going to do what. And, you know, in theory, like you should kind of rationalize it. Like Rico Dowdle makes more sense to be the running downs guy. And Jalen Warren makes more sense to be the passing downs guy. But Jalen Warren is coming off a year where he was great as the running downs guy. And Rico Dowdle has a history of being a passing downs kind of option. So I think they're going to mix and match. I think it could be frustrating. I think they're appropriately priced. I've gone back and forth all offseason. I've settled on Warren over Dowdle just because I do think the pass catching role will be his. And that was so good for Kenneth Gainwell last year. But really, it's about if you just want to take a chance. I'm like in the eliminator league that we're in. I just took Rico Dowdle. I think it was like round eight as a fourth running back. So, you know, the floor is, I think, relatively safe for both of them. One of them may have an amazing ceiling. An injury could clearly open the doorway to one of these guys being a top 15 running back. But, you know, you hope they're just not cannibalized. Each other on a week-to-week basis where one guy scores a touchdown, one guy catches four or five passes, and the next week it flips. And you're just kind of frustrated. So not exactly the type of backfield I'd want to have both of them. But I think as a third or fourth running back, they make plenty of sense. Yeah, 84 receptions last year for Kenneth Gainwell from Aaron Rodgers. Just an absurd number. I can't even imagine. Do you have the number, Adam, where he finished in full point PPR? Kenneth Gainwell had to be. He was top 10? Yeah, I can tell you from week six through 18. Because remember, like Gainwell didn't win. He didn't have that much of a role. And then week four, we had the inactive Warren. Gainwell has a big game. I'm pretty sure they had a bye week five. Week six through 18, Jalen Warren was RB 21 per game. And Kenneth Gainwell was RB 23 per game. For the full season, I do have it. But that's kind of like, that's the sample size I would look at. Because that's when both guys had their role. And it might be what we see from Dowdle. He was RB 20 per game, Gainwell, in full PPR. 25 per game and half. 30 per game and not. So almost all of his value came on the 73 catches. And just keep in mind, Michael Pittman is a much better second receiver. No matter what Aaron Rodgers seemed to indicate yesterday. Michael Pittman's a much better second receiver than they had last year. It sounds like Roman Wilson's going to have a bigger role than he had last year. So you have different parts in the passing game, plus a different coordinator. So the Arthur Smith dump off passes that we saw last season will be a little bit more downfield throws. I know that doesn't speak to what Rodgers does best, but it'll still be part of what the game plan is. So they'll take a few more shots down the field to DK Metcalf. I'm just expecting not as much of a robust role for them in the passing game, but still good enough that the floor should be there. Pretty sure in their last preseason game, Jalen Warren got the first series and Dowdle got the second. I think maybe Warren came back for that. I can't remember. But it wasn't like running down, passing down thing. All right, next one. There is no way Dan is getting this. Chris from Milwaukee says, Dear Ray, Glenn, Michael, and Sam. Uh. Ray, Glenn. These Ace Ventura, Ace Ventura characters? I'm pretty sure they're Milwaukee Bucks. Ray Finkel. Ray Allen, Glenn Rice. Oh, yeah. Oh, yeah. Michael Redd. Who's Sam? Hold on, let me try to. Wait, who'd you say Glenn was? Sam Cassell. Was it Glenn Rice? No, Glenn Robinson. What's wrong with Glenn Robinson? Yeah, even I knew that. Sam Cassell. Sam Cassell. Sam Cassell, nice. Okay. Come on, Adam. Okay, I think you should revisit your take on allowing suspended or out players to be put on the IR spot. Particularly in deeper leagues where it matters way more. Over the past several years, the NFL landscape has dramatically changed. Fantasy football managers are trying to navigate a multitude of things that keep our players out, including things like concussions, soreness, and other injuries where they don't wind up on IR. Mental health issues, contract issues, off-the-field drama, legal issues, social media issues, personality conflicts, etc. Combine that with running back committees, tricky coaches scheming up random players, and NFL politics affecting start-sits, whatever that means, playing time and how hard a team is trying. It has gotten tougher and tougher to field a competitive team, particularly in deeper leagues. While I was once a purist and a stickler for the rules, I've made a complete 180 on the IR spot. This is supposed to be fun. This isn't supposed to be stressful. The IR spot being just a tad more versatile to help cover some of the aforementioned events that lead to players being suspended and out can only help. I don't care if you punish the NFL player for a crime or offense committed, but I don't see why we should punish a fantasy manager for rostering him. I don't know if that's how he meant that to come out. Especially when it's a sudden occurrence as opposed to a known issue. I don't know how I feel about this. I mean, you make a good point. It is harder. It makes it easier for fantasy managers, but I don't know, man. But like, for example, it's not IR. It's not IR and it's like, okay, so then, you know, you're opening the door to possible things. Like, you're really, it becomes, I don't want to say subjective, but like, for example, like, it makes a huge difference in where you draft Josh Aikman, because if you're in a five-bench league right now, or even a six-bench league, and you draft Josh Jacobs, he's just sitting on there the whole year. You can't put him in the IR. But now, under this rule, you can? I think you're right also about, like, which injured players do we get to put on IR? Right. You know, it just leads to complications, I think. A lot of fantasy cops. I think you got to have a hard and fast rule. Yeah. So, I've been in several leagues where you can place players who are out in IR spots to help you in this situation. You know, so, player gets ruled out Wednesday, Thursday, whatever the case may be. You get an extra player to pick up. It's going to help you during bi-weeks. It's going to help you if you have multiple injuries. Typically, what happens in these type of leagues, when you get to the following week and their status changes back before they're ruled out again, then you have to make a similar transaction to drop whoever you may have picked up or somebody else to sort of get your lineup right. So, like, Gamer Eric right now says two IRs is just right. I don't disagree with that, but I do think that they have to be on IR. If you're making the conscious effort to draft Josh Jacobs, now, there are a lot of people who have drafted Jacobs already, and then this news happened, so you got a little bit of a tough, you know, scenario. That being said, it is your decision to carry Josh Jacobs. You can either be proactive about it and say, I don't expect him to play this season, and I'm going to drop him. If somebody else wants to carry this headache, then they carry it. But if that's what your league rules are, it should not be allowed to carry somebody somebody who is not on an IR spot. But if you're in Dynasty right now, you're carrying Tyreek Hill. You're not dropping him because if he'll size with the team, everybody's going to want to pick him up even though he may not be the same guy. So there's lots of different scenarios here. I think suspensions, non-IR injuries, like Alvin Kamara. He's probably going to miss two or three games if he doesn't get to the fourth week. They decided not to place him on IR. It's just the nature of what your league is. So if your league decides that it has to be an IR spot to be placed on IR, I don't think that you should be allowed to place a suspended player on it. You're making that decision to carry that player. It's not about a moral conversation that we're going to have. It's just what the rules are. So I think just understanding that if I'm going to draft a player that is under a scenario that's not injured, that is suspended, I have to deal with the consequences of that. Next comment from the chat. This is from the beginning of the chat. Adam is, for sure, a holiday pajama guy. You really think I wear holiday pajamas? I don't even know what that means. So like Christmas time, he wears Christmas pajamas. Yeah, I'm surprised you call them pajamas. They're pajamas, as Amy just said. And Jamie just said, sorry. My mind is gone at this point. You know this is my fourth podcast today, and one of them was a two and a half hour live stream? Wow. All for CBS. Yeah, it was a good day. Really unbelievable. And then I got sick at the end. This is the worst part. Everything was going great, and then I got a headache, and now I feel like I have to throw up out of nowhere. Did your draft go well? The auction? So Jacob went nuts and drafted Gibbs for 70 bucks in a super flex to start the auction. And I was like, all right. Out of 200? Out of 200. You guys shared the team together? Yeah, we tried to see how that would go. And then we recovered. I feel like we got some good values. Genty at 25, Higgins at 17. I like both of those. Our quarterbacks are horrific. We have Stroud. Jordan Love is our one. Stroud is our two. That's good. That is not good. I guess, hopefully. All right. And then I think Bryce. Adam, do you know that, Dan, how many years have you worked there? You just had your 10-year anniversary? I just had my 10. I saw you're 20, too. I just got the email for that. Great. Was I not supposed to say that? Yeah, we were going to do something about that tomorrow. Oh, no. With who? But Jamie knew that? Dan called me in a panic twice. He's never commissioned a leak before on CBS, Adam. Do you know that? Dan Schneier? First time commissioning a leak. I had to call Jamie in panic where the draft was about to start. I had one of my best jokes in a while. Dan said, what happens if you have to hit pause too many times? Do you run out of pauses? Apparently, there's another way. No, no. This is a true thing, according to Dan, that there's another site that if you hit pause too many times, you time out on it. So he asked me that question. And I said, oh, it's easy. You just put a few more quarters in your computer. You get more pauses. Or you do up, up, down, down, left, right, left, right. There is another site that I've heard has amended it since. But there was a time in the past where you had a maximum amount of pauses. And once you ran out, one time we ran out during an auction. We had to go to Google Sheets to finish the auction. It was devastating. I've never heard that before. I was laughing my ass off when he said that. All right, listen. We got to go a little faster here. Here's a trade from Matt. Matt said he's been offered a trade in a 12-team full. PPR league. I was offered Ashton Gentry for my Devante Smith and Marshawn Lloyd. Is it Dynasty you said? Nope. Devante Smith and Marshawn Lloyd for Gentry? Yeah. I would rather have Smith and Lloyd. Okay. All right. Next up is an email from Ryan. Ryan thinks we're too low on Patrick Mahomes because he's optimistic about Eric Biena Me as the offensive coordinator instead of Matt Nagy. And Mahomes was QB1 and QB2 per game under Biena Me the last time he had him there. Was Tyreek Hill on that roster? Yep. You know, Mahomes had one great season with Juju Smith-Schuster as their leading receiver. And then since then, it has been all downhill the last three seasons. Although last year was pretty good too, but more so as a rusher. But I think that was the year they went to the Super Bowl. Juju was there. Juju was their leading receiver. Maybe not Kelsey, I'm sure, was their leading receiver. But Juju was their leading wide receiver. And that was probably a Biena Me year. I'm not sure. But anyway, what do you think about that? I mean, I think most people have sort of made the case that Biena Me is better for the run game. We kind of give Andy Reid like the passing game, you know, role, I guess. We sort of assign that. But what do you think? Biena Me was there when Mahomes had his best seasons. And a lot of that had to do, as Dan just said, had to do with peak Travis Kelsey, peak Tyreek Hill. So it's easy to sort of just roll the ball out and say, go play. And those guys are going to be special because they are. So now you're walking into a situation where Mahomes is coming off a devastating knee injury. Thank God he's back and it's going to be fun to see him play. But we'll see what version of Mahomes we get. I think if you look at the last three seasons, last year, big time fantasy bounce back, mostly because of the rushing. The two years prior, 20 point something, 20 point something, under 21 fantasy points per game. That's not an elite fantasy quarterback. So when you start to compare him to a lot of guys. And so. You know, Caleb Williams is probably like QB 10 for a lot of people. I know Dan has a little higher, but like ADP, like QB 10. I wouldn't even put him in that range of guys right now. You start to talk about him compared to Stafford and golf and Knicks. And for me, it's Kyler Murray and Jared Jordan love. Like, I think he's outside the top 12. And for me, he's outside the top 15. Does he still have the range of possibility to get to 20 to 24 points? For sure. He's Patrick Mahomes. You have a 36. You have a 36 year old Travis Kelsey. We don't know what version of Rashi Rice we're going to get. And to, I think your point about being to me with the run game, the run game should be significantly better because of Kenneth Walker. So if you want to be in on my homes, being on my homes as a backup, being on my homes as a guy that could still be a league winner, if things go right, but I just don't want to trust him as a number one, only quarterback that I'll draft. Yeah. But one point I do want to make about my homes is that I've sort of, I've sort of short changed him a little bit in saying that all of the improvements he made last year, he's was rushing. He actually did have a better passing season. He was on pace for 4,356 yards, 27 touchdowns. Um, the 17 game pace, the two years before that was, well, the year before that was 4,174. So he, he increases 17 game base by about 200 yards, but it's still not quite enough. He's still nowhere near the 48, 49, 5,000, 48, 4,900, 5,000. He's not getting back to that. Yeah. It, because he doesn't have the down. Field threat. They're just, they're just not an explosive offense anymore. And they don't have to be, he got a little bit better at that last year. I would, I did want to say that, but it wasn't enough. Okay. Uh, this is from Andre. Fortunately for me, we had our 10 team PPR to flex draft prior to the Jacobs news. And I snagged Marshawn Lloyd in the last round after the news broke. I traded David Montgomery, who was my RB four and Marshawn Lloyd for T Higgins to the Josh Jacobs man. I'm sure Montgomery and Lloyd for Higgins. Um, so do you guys like that trade? I do, you know, knowing that you still have three other guys that should be productive. Look, Montgomery and Lloyd could both be top 20 caliber running backs. You know, the history of the Packers lead rusher has been great under the floor. And I think Montgomery has a chance to bounce back in a big way. Um, I don't think it's going to be Joe Mixon in the year that he went to Houston, but they've been waiting. I'm hoping for, you know, a lead rusher. And, you know, once upon a time when he was in Chicago, he was a very good fantasy option. You know, I think we kind of get lost in that because of what he did in Detroit as the second guy, but I think it'll surprise people as a pass catcher. We'll see if he holds off 40 marks. That being said, if T Higgins hits, you're talking about a top 10 caliber wide receiver. So you traded two top 20 ish running backs for one top 10 caliber receiver. I think that's the right way to win. I would have maybe looked for a little bit better than Higgins, but that's certainly a good trade. Yeah. And neither of them were, I'm in on the Higgins though. I, I, I, I know it's, yeah. Like if you just think about it with, with Higgins, it's, there's some really interesting stats that could, if you prorated over a season, be really like over the last 16 games with Joe Burrow, he's what wide receiver eight. I think I saw a wide receiver four. I think I saw, what was it? The stat you had earlier in the last 16 with Joe Burrow. I think it is. Okay. Yeah. Either four or eight, either way it's top eight. And then Jamie's that, what was it? 21 touchdowns last 20. I was going to say, you love the touchdown guys and he's among the best. 21 touchdowns in his last 27 games. And there's no reason to think it was stop, right? Jamie, like if he's healthy, like I don't see it. Like touchdown regression is a thing. I get it. But like in an offense like that, there's no, like Burrow is a clear cut guy. We can count on for a certain amount of touchdowns. They have an easy schedule and Jamar chase gets double team and shaded coverage in the red zone. So Higgins is one-on-one all the time. It's a pretty easy path. We all like Higgins, but this is the, why I want to have the show tomorrow, this stream, because I never get to mention these types of things. T Higgins was on pace for a hundred. And nine targets with Joe Burrow last year. He's got one of the, he has the lowest target per out run rate of any wide receiver that we'd even consider taking in the first four rounds. And we take them, I'll take them in the third round. So, I mean, he was able to be a top 15 receiver last year, 16th per game with a very low target per out run rate. Two years ago, he had a pretty good target per out run rate and he was top five. So I think you could say if it gets back up to that level, he's going to be awesome. But I don't really think that it will. I would say that Higgins. might have 30 fewer targets than Garrett Wilson. He might even have fewer targets than Zay Flowers. You just have to be aware of it. He needs the touchdowns, but we are pretty confident it will happen. Sorry to cut you off, Dan. No, that's totally fair. It's the same thing with Adams last year. If you don't love Higgins at his cost, not that this is part of the conversation because of the trade, but if you don't love Higgins at his cost, there's Devontae Adams. If you're chasing touchdowns, there's Jamison Williams. If you're looking at that profile, there's Christian Watson. There are guys that go later. Mike Evans, round six. He's been consistently around six these days, too. It's crazy. Yeah, if you want to buy the dip, there's a lot working against Evans, too, but he seems to be healthy and ready to go for week one. Give me a quick prediction on what those two sets will look like. Are you getting pizza before? No. I will be, it's New Jersey. It's going to be cool out. It's New York, buddy. New York. New York. Adam is not to tart like you're less so buying your own handcuffs. You're more so trying to buy other handcuffs. Is that right? That's how Jamie my philosophy is. If I drafted that running back early, I'm drafting him because I'm expecting him to be great. Not because I'm expecting him to get hurt. I'm looking to cat cash in on somebody else's handcuff. That being said, if you love the scenario so much and it makes sense, then it's okay to take your own. Yeah, you heard me say earlier. If I draft James Cook, the last pick I take in almost every draft is Ray Davis just because he's almost always available. I think in this case, not to cut you off, Dan, this is probably 10-team league, I'm guessing, because if Emmett Johnson is on waivers and you're talking about dropping those players, your bench is probably pretty strong. Are you ever going to play Mekhi Lemon? Maybe. Maybe. If Ken Walker gets hurt, are you ever going to play Emmett Johnson? Yeah. One billion percent. I agree with you on that. I also feel really strongly about Emmett Johnson. You know, that goes back to the Heath's Dynasty League debacle where I lost out on Emmett Johnson because I was too slow to the trigger to figure out the rules and the cut down day. Thank you, Adam, by the way, for expanding our benches in Bakeburger. I really appreciate that. Doing the right thing there. Oh, you're very welcome. Oh, what a horrible trade I had to make tonight, by the way. What did you have to do? Oh, what was that? Well, you see my quarterbacks? No. And Bakeburger? My quarterbacks are Justin Herbert, Tua, and Anthony Richardson. You want to compete this year, so Jamie traded a second-round pick in 2027. Okay. Geno Smith. Oh, that's terrible. I'll tell you what. I'll give you Deshaun Watson. I respect it, too. I'll give you Deshaun Watson for a first-round pick. It's very tough. Heath has a very good philosophy on quarterbacks. Quarterbacks in super flex leagues are never cheaper than they are in drafting. And so having to trade, and I asked Heath and Dave, they didn't know which league I was trading in. Heath is in that league. I said, what would you think you have to give up to get Geno Smith? And without hesitation, he said, at least a second, if not a package for it. And so I just looked at it as, I thought I'd offer you for Cam Ward. I thought you would say no. I was looking at the teams that are out of it, you know, and probably need draft picks. I thought about offering Dan. I'm not out of it anymore. You're out of it. I thought about offering Dan for Daniel Jones, but Dan's a competitor. He wants to keep his third quarterback. Yeah. So, like, this is a league where there's not a lot of great third quarterbacks and fourth quarterbacks on rosters. So you have to overpay. And I like my roster a lot. I don't hate this move, by the way. No, I don't. This is why you never compete in Dynasty Leagues. I kind of agree with Jamie on that. Geno Smith is bad. The Jets are terrible. When they get off to a horrible start, they're going to bench Geno Smith. You're going to have no quarterback. And then he's not going to be a starter for the rest of his career. For the rest of his career. Again, you're not wrong in what you're saying. But the flip side of that is if he does stay the quarterback for the entire season, to get a quarterback in that league, you have to give up either multiple first-round picks for somebody good or multiple picks in general. And so, listen, this was what I was kicking around. I was kicking around potentially trading Jordan Tyson for a quarterback because, again, competing now, essentially giving up a first-round pick for a quarterback. And I didn't want to do that. So I can sacrifice a second-round pick, which I think is going to be late second and still be competitive and still keep the core of my roster. Right. All right. I don't hate this, and I also think Can we go to Fantasy Cops now? We're running out of time. Okay. What are we running out of time for? Yeah, I don't know why there's always a time limit with Adam. Because I don't want people to have to wait an hour to start hearing Fantasy Cops. I get 15 emails a week for Fantasy Cops. They obviously want to hear it. I love the cops I'm in. All right, here we go. Fantasy Cops, Brooklyn Omar is here. This isn't a decision-based Fantasy Cops, more of a topic of discussion. Do you guys offer slow draft hostage negotiation services? I'm drafting at 11, and the 12 manager holds up the draft every evening until it is paused overnight from 11 p.m. to 7 a.m. That's so unfair. He's essentially holding the draft hostage for 12 to 15 hours every time it's his turn to pick. I know the slow draft is to accommodate for people all over the world with different schedules, but it's like he's emailing you guys every night asking who to pick next, which he isn't. It's ridiculous. What do we say to Brooklyn Omar? I'm with Brooklyn Omar here. This is really just like, it's kind of like, it's just bad etiquette, I guess is the best way to describe it. It's not technically against the rules, and this is the one problem you run into if you have a slow draft so close to the start of the season, or really at any point once training camp starts. Let's say today it was like a season ender. Thank God it wasn't. Knock on wood for Swift. All of a sudden, this guy's sitting on his pick, and he gets Kyle Menungai, and that's not fair. I don't know how you avoid this. That's such a great story for that, by the way. Keep going. Yeah, I don't know how you avoid this, though. It's just bad etiquette. It's bad etiquette, and just something to keep in mind when you're deciding if you want to keep people in the league next year or to do slow drafts again next year. If someone's going to do this to you, you've got to make it clear, like, hey, the clock is there really to move you along. It's not for you to use the entire clock, and especially if you're ending up in a spot where you're going to be keeping everybody overnight. People want to draft. I'm in four slow drafts right now. There's one that I commission, and I just text everybody when they're up. I don't expect them to pick right away, but I give them a notification to say, hey, you're up. Next person's on the clock. I'm in a league where it's for my eight-year-old's baseball team, and there's no clock on it, and it's just, hey, if we get to the early part next week, I'll put a clock on it. Some of the kids are involved with this, mostly the parents picking, and there's half the people in the league are like, you've got to speed this up, and half the people are like, oh, I forgot that I'm even in this league. It's just really casual for fun. So there's different ways to go about this, but to your point about what you just said with the DeAndre Swift thing, so we have this office league. It's now down to 18 people. I think at one point it was up to like 24 people in the league. Dave used to be in this league. He's no longer in it. Dave was once on the clock, and this shows you how far it goes back. Brett Favre announced he was coming out of retirement. Oh, that year. Dave picked Brett Favre. If you recall, the starter at that point prior to Favre getting the job was Sage Rosenfels. Sage Rosenfels had already been picked. We are probably double-digit rounds. So 24 teams, double-digit rounds, you know, do the math. The manager who took Sage Rosenfels was so pissed, and publicly in the league, in the office, this is when we were in the office all the time, you've got to give me Brett Favre, or I took Sage Rosenfels. And obviously I'm with Dave on this point because it's just the nature of the league, but I'm with Dave on this point because it's just the nature of the league, and I'm like, no way. You know, this is just how it broke. What would happen in the middle of the season if Favre got hurt and he had Rosenfels? You know, the flip side was, you know, would you say, oh, you owe me Favre? To modify this, we've since gone to Team QB for this league. Oh, yeah. So that was the impetus of changing that rule. But this guy was so mad. I've never, and like a quiet, mild-mannered guy, so mad. I don't understand what he's mad at. He was mad at that because it was a slow draft, and that. And that if this was a regular draft. I can understand being mad at that. I can't understand being mad at Dave specifically. He wasn't mad at Dave. He was mad at the situation. But he basically was like, you guys have to give me Brett Favre and Commissioner. You're like, no, we're not giving you Brett Favre. Anybody that was rational was like, sorry, it just happened. This is just bad luck. All right, this is from Nathan. He says, hey, fantasy cops, I have an issue that just came up in the days following my home league draft. It's caused quite the stir. Appreciate your guidance. Here's the story. During my home league draft this past Sunday, August 30th, Josh Jacobs was falling during the draft due to his recent ad on the Commissioner Exemplist. He ended up getting chosen in the fifth round by a manager who temporarily ended up on auto draft. Josh Jacobs' status on our platform is NA, which based on our current league rules, does not allow them to be stashed in an IR spot. Correct. The league voted in previous. years to allow suspended players in the IR, but we've never voted on NA players. The manager immediately took to the league chats and asked for a rule change to allow NA players in the IR spot, obviously beneficial to him. Another manager shot down the proposal since it was after the draft. The manager then messaged the commissioner, me, about wanting to have a vote to change the rules. Basically, I won't keep going on here. He says, what should I do? If you allow suspended players to be put in IR spots, Jacobs qualifies. You think so? He's not suspended. I don't care. That's just being stupid with the nitpicking stuff. I don't think you should allow suspended players to be in the IR, though. I totally agree with that. But again, as we go back to it, if you're allowing a rule to happen, because you like to change the rules for people, they already have a rule that says they're allowed suspended players. And you're like, well, change your rule. Change your rule. But yeah, like that's not fantasy better. I don't know what to tell you. So there's change your rule. We'll put that in a box. Put it off to the side. All right. There's a rule that we're ruling on here. You would be such a terrible judge and maybe a worse lawyer. The thing we're discussing is their rule. We're not discussing change their rule. True. We're fixing their fine. Their crappy rule. OK, so let's fix. So, yes, you want to call it crappy rule. You are entitled. Yeah, I will. You're entitled to whatever adjectives you want to put in front of their rule. Their bleep rule is. Suspended players are allowed to be placed in IR. That should be where Josh Jacobs qualifies. It shouldn't be this NA stuff. Exemplist. Exemplist and suspension should go hand in hand. Maybe. Judge Dan Schneier. You know, we almost had. That would be so bad. We almost had. So wait a minute. And so nobody saw the news. And like Jacob gets nominated. And we had everyone live at the draft set for one manager. And the one manager was on the phone was like, you guys know he was put on the exam list, right? We're all like, what? It was like literally. You didn't even know. None of us knew. I thought you knew. No, because we were like locked into like auction mode. And it wasn't like we're checking phones and stuff. Like in for news. And so like if he hadn't said that and he was just like, I'll let them just bid like crazy. They would have. We would. It would have been a normal Josh Jacobs bid. And then we would have found out like whenever we found out it would have been too late. Here's Judge Schneier. I don't know if I could do this impression without laughing. I thought you were not guilty. Then I found out you were from Florida. The worst state on earth. I don't know who the heck would want to live there. It's not the worst. So hot. Terrible food. Our league decided this offseason. Not. Not a unanimous vote that we would change the roster construct construction from two running backs and three receivers to two running backs, two receivers and a flex. That's actually not that important. This part is. We also are going to remove kickers and DSTs from the auction and draft them in a snake format. I am a Brandon Aubrey manager and I have him at one dollar and I had a terrible year and I was going to keep Brandon Aubrey. For one dollar. But remember, they removed kickers from the auction and now they have to do them in a snake draft. I was informed by my commissioner that I could keep Aubrey, but I. Oh, wait, no. Oh, he wants to keep him for zero dollars. He wants to keep him for zero dollars because they removed kickers from the auction. The commissioner said I can keep him, but I have to pay the one dollar keeper fee for Aubrey. I argue that I should be allowed to keep him for zero since everyone else will get their kicker and DST in a snake format and I shouldn't be penalized. For keeping a player from last year's draft under the roster construction of last year's season. I would love to hear Dan's take on this. Am I crazy? You don't want to hear my take on this, buddy. I mean, what the heck are we doing for so many reasons? You're right, by the way. So I'll start by saying that you're right. There should be no scenario where you have to keep the kicker for more than what they're doing in this thing. But the problem I have, and again, this is going to screw. mess with jamie because he's not gonna and i respect it jamie i'm just gonna go again off track but what kind of league doesn't have inflation for their keeper prices? What kind of league are we doing where you keep the player for the price you bid on? So you just nominate a kicker for a dollar, nobody bids on him, but I keep him for a dollar. Are we just keeping players for the same price? I kind of feel like if you're keeping a kicker, you do have to play. But that's how a lot of keeper leagues work. No, all keeper leagues have either percentage it goes up by or it's a flat fee. You never do what you won them for in the auction. You drove 30. I've been in 15 different auction keeper leagues. You've never, ever done the exact price you won them on. Anyway, if you're keeping a player, they're asking you some penalty. You drove 30 in a 25-mile-per-hour zone. What kind of a zone is it at least 30 miles per hour? Right. I might say that to a cop if they pull me over and that type of thing. But that wouldn't work out well. But at least it would work better if I was a truck driver. But that's a throwback. That's a throwback. I think for this season, it should be all keeper rules are the same no matter the position. But moving forward, if you're going to keep a kick, you're not allowed to keep a kicker at the SD after this since they changed it knowing that he still had the opportunity or any manager still had the opportunity to keep him for this year. Do you think he should be able to keep Aubrey for one or zero? I think if he was going to keep him for zero before this rule, then he should be allowed to keep him for zero. I don't think he was. No, he's going to keep him for one. He was going to keep him for one, but then they… So then he's got to keep him for one. It's either you keep him for one or you don't keep him at all. But what does he do in the snake draft? Then he has to draft a second kicker. No, he doesn't. Just skip the pick. No, he just loses the pick, I guess. You're going to have to draft. I just had a disaster draft. One league member didn't show up and it auto-drafted. Awful team. Four quarterbacks by the ninth round. Now that guy isn't answering anyone, so he's kicked out of the league. We are thinking we make it an auto team throughout the year. Any suggestion on how to make this fair? So it's either you just, as the commissioner, or I know what you can do on CBS, you can do it, I think, on other sites. There's an optimal lineup button. You set the optimal lineup and just play it out as is. So the only problem with that is when you get to bye weeks and there's multiple players on a bye and you're not making ad drops for that team. So you can just do the easy thing, which is whoever plays that team that week gets a win and just call it a day. I think that you should try to find a replacement. I think, you know, just like. But who would be willing to take that? Don't make them pay. Don't make them pay. Don't make them pay. Just get someone to do it. Otherwise, whoever plays that team twice is going to have a huge advantage. I know. Are they eligible to win money if they take over that team but not pay? I think so, yeah. At Gotham City Burgers, they call it. The Charm City Burger. That was the best meal we had by far. That was one of the better burgers I've had, like, anywhere. Charm City is one of the best burgers you'll find. Somehow was, like, as good as anything I get around here in Jersey. That's tough to get to. Unbelievable. I mean, can you imagine? It's insane how much things he orders with mushrooms on it. What else was on there? He's the anti-Dave. It's crazy, man. He eats so healthy, and I need to eat healthier. I know that. I see it in the chat. I got to do better. I'm not eating healthy these days. I put on 22 pounds this year. It's disgusting. I don't eat food. I don't eat advice from you. 22 pounds? That's terrible.
