Hi, I'm Tony DeCouple and as anchor of the CBS evening news, I am filled with endless curiosity about our world and our society. Maybe you are too. My new podcast is called Great Question. It's an effort to capture that curiosity and to answer the question, you haven't heard a satisfying answer to or maybe haven't even heard asked. Follow and listen to Great Question with Tony DeCouple wherever you get your podcasts. All right, let's take a look at the waiver wire. You're short in addition before the full-length show on Tuesday, right now with Jamie Eisenberg. All right, here we go. A little sneak peek at the waiver wire here. Jamie, who's the headliner? You know Adam, there really isn't like one, hey, I have to go get this guy 100% because he's going to be a must-start player. There are a couple of running backs that could be starters because of either playing time concerns or injuries. You got Mike Washington now seemingly as the lead running back for the Raiders. Not that he's the best running back, but the lead running back in terms of playing time and touches. You have Devin Singletary, who could start for the Giants, if Camp Scataboo is not going to be ready, obviously barring of potential trade. You have Tyler Algier, who could be the starting running back for the Cardinals in a brutal match up against the Seahawks. And then you have a few Ad Receivers that are clearly playing well and getting more playing time, two of which I think should be added across the board. We said these two names last week in Antonio Williams and McCye Lemmon. So there are some players that could certainly be starters for you, but none of them I think are like, oh my god, I have to go start them. Then a couple of quarterbacks as well. The two would be Malik Willis and Bonix. Yeah, I like the waiver wire this week. It's not amazing, but it's pretty good. I think it's very good. Yeah, that's good. Yeah, that's good. And then I would say that you don't need me to tell you this people, but if Jonah Coleman is available, because he's 72% rostered in Yahoo, 76% rostered in sleeper, if Jonah Coleman is available, drop everything. Drop everyone. I would drop a Maurean Hampton for Jonah Coleman. Yeah, probably don't have to, but you got to get Jonah Coleman. All right, quarterbacks, quarterbacks. We only have these Steelers and the Titans on by. So what are we looking at for quarterbacks? So I'm torn between Malik Willis and Bonix as the one to go get. The reason I like Willis slightly ahead of Nick's, I think they're both in favorable matchups this week. Willis gets the Lions. Nick's gets the Panthers. Nick's is on a buy in week 10. Willis has this great stretch of games coming up. And so I think there's just a little bit more sustained value for guys that could be similar this week. Willis took a little bit of a step back against the Patriots. That's a good defense. He had scored 20 or more fantasy points. He's just previous two games. Nick's has been 22 or more fantasy points. He took his last two games. So he's starting to play better. Clearly the game two games ago was a result of, I think, was 49-48 yard touchdown run that helped him, but still playing better, looking more confident and then a good match up this week. But I think Willis is a guy. Both these guys are not top 12 quarterbacks for me in week nine. Like you said, there's only two guys on a buy. But I think if you're stuck at the position, like if you were streaming Jacobi Berset or Geno Smith or even Kirk Cousins, you can pivot to these guys if you like them better. What do you think about the two quarterback lead guys? Who's your favorite? There's only really one. I think that's going to be available until we know the Baltimore situation. And that's Gardner Minchue. So I think in the case of Minchue, if you're looking at it, oh, I guess I have to be registered. Yeah, I was going to. I forgot about that. I'm sorry. I don't think Daniel Jones is going to start. So if you want to speculate and pick up Anthony Richardson just to stash him, he can. But my guess is the Cardinal start, Minchue. I don't love the matchup, but as we've seen with the Cardinal situation over the last almost two years now at this point, it doesn't really matter who they play. If they're getting these garbage time opportunities, they could be successful. So I don't think Minchue has a 20 point plus game in him against the Seahawks, but he could certainly be a streaming option to protect and definitely in two quarterback leads, he should be at super fuss. Yeah. And the, yeah, no doy pick up. I don't, I mean, I think so, anyway, it's Kyler Murray, Kyler Murray, 65% rostered on Yahoo, 56% rostered, I believe on sleeper, and 73% rostered. He's not playing that well. So I understand the hesitation. We gets buffalow this week, but I will say this in two QB leagues and I'll put this in the story. It might not be a bad idea to add cars in once because Murray does have a hamstring injury. Right. And not just that, but Justin Jefferson is just not happy right now. So we'll see what they end up doing there. Okay. And let's talk, yeah, we'll talk wide receivers and we'll talk running backs and we'll take a break. Give me some running backs. So the guy I have at the top and this may change just, you know, based on what happens between now and Tuesday morning, but Mike Washington, again, just so many opportunities to be successful. He wasn't great with him, but still it's, you can kind of see that they want him to maybe take control of this job or be the lead running back. I don't know if that's going to be sustainable. I don't know if it's a one week thing, but clearly Ash and Jentley has not been running well and they gave Washington the chance to be that guy. Then there's Devon Singletary, who might be the best one to go get because if Cam scatabood does not play against the Eagles, you're going to want to start Devon Singletary as at least the flex. So those are the two at the top. Tyler Algier is also in the mix because both of the other running backs in Arizona, and look, we may get James Conner playing at some point soon, but both the other running backs in Arizona in terms of Jeremiah Love and Zonovan Knight, both came out of this game with injuries. You know how they treated love the last time. Knight's in there going to be in the percussion protocol. Algier was awesome. I wouldn't anticipate that again, especially against Seattle, but he was awesome. Yes, Seth McGowan, who, you know, may be cuttable after next week. If they don't trade, Jonathan Taylor, he may be the the best running back for the Colts. Could be him or DJ Gins. We'll see how that goes. Dylan Samson has been productive each of the two games since he's been back from his injury. Very good option in PPR. Emma Johnson should be added in all leagues. Kendrick Miller may still be the still be a viable running back in a good match up against the Browns. Kenneth Gainwell's playing well. There's just a few different options here. You can go get what a ridiculous game for Emma Johnson. Just hilarious. Okay. And then we'll take a break and we'll get to wide receivers, including McIleman and Antonio Williams. We saw him Monday night after this on FFD Express. The Strato Tech T from Viori is one of those shirts you put on once and immediately get why people love it. It's incredibly soft. Stretches with you, dries fast and still looks sharp enough to wear from a workout to the ballpark without missing a beat. It's become my go-to tee for pretty much everything. Yeah, I'm still torn between Williams and lemon. I thought both played, you know, moderately well. Nobody was, you know, outstanding in that game and clearly there's quarterback issues for lemon and we don't know how long they'll stick with Tanner McKee, but my guess is he's going to be the starter coming into week nine. Williams, you know, did his job without Terry McClure in there. He's going to share with Traylon Berks in terms of that role. And I think Chico Conkel, we better also, he had a miserable game with the fumble. But I think both these guys are worth adding. The difference is that Williams, his role is probably locked in for the rest of the season. Lemon could get, you know, the Devantes myth and Dante Wicks back in any moment. After those two guys, I'm sorry. Oh, no, no, I agree. Yeah, that's the thing. That's why I go Williams over lemon. Maybe for one week, if you think those guys are going to be out, I'm not so concerned about Wicks necessarily, but once Devantes myth gets back, I think that's probably it from a guy lemon. Yeah, just not enough targets, I think, for him to be successful. I think he needs a lot of targets. Jordan Tyson could start practicing in week nine. So, maybe, you know, absolutely needs to be rostered at this point. After him, it's a very up and down list of guys that could be productive, but you don't really know if you want to start them yet. But Ryan Flanoi has got 11 PPR points in four straight games, and we know he's an injury away from being a must-start guy. At night, Mitchell, I have next, you know, coming off the big game, but clearly had not done much. Didn't do much in this first game back in the finger injury, but this Jets receiving court could be all over the place, and Geno Smith's going to be throwing a lot. Wanda Robinson goes into his buy. No carnal tape missed last week's game, but Robinson, three of the previous four games, or three of the previous five games, two last week, 11 or more PPR points. So, Kim Ward played well. Maybe, that continues coming off the buy, and Robinson can still be successful. You have the steady Eddie 11 point PPR guys of Khalil Shakira and Malik Washington. That's what they're going to give you. If one scores, they'll be great as Washington did this past week, but I think you're just getting that safe number three kind of PPR option. I have Malachi field next. Malachi fields next. He seemingly having a good rapport with JJ McCarthy, so hopefully that continues coming off the buy. And then one of their wide receiver to stash, we're getting closer to the week 10 potential return is Dishon Stribbling. We know that there's still injuries abound in the 49ers receiving court. Hopefully Mike Evans and Dibo Samuel play in week nine, but Stribbling should be stashed, especially with an Irish buy. Good stuff. And at tight end, I don't want to give up on Chicago Conco. You know, there were two plays in this game. He had a ball that he caught in the end zone. There was head of foot out of bounds. And then there was another play where Jane Daniels is rolling, and Alconco was wide open. And this is just one of the worst throws of the night from Daniels, which is uncharacteristically inaccurate. There's a chance that he could have scored on that play if he had made one guy miss. So he had some opportunities there. Just wasn't able to capitalize, but who I'm sure he's not the headliner at the tight end position. No, but there really is no headliner. I mean, at some point, we just have to say Mike Aseki should be a borderline starter. I mean, he just continued to score touchdowns and the way that the bangles are struggling to run the ball and just throwing the ball All over the place. Kaseki's getting operated. opportunities and catching in on them. So I think he's worth a look. Again, low end starter at best. Michael Mayer, better game this week than we saw last week. Just continue to be I think in that low end starting range. I'm still confident in Johan Johnson as a low end starter. He's coming off his buys 56% roster. Good matchup against the Browns and then O'Concoa. So those are the four. So all four of those guys I think can be in any order you think. The upside I agree with you is still with O'Concoa. The production has been in a second. The other two are just kind of take a chance on if you need help this week. Well, you hit a home run with the Jaguars DST as your top recommendation. Last week, going up against the Indianapolis Colts. And they scored 22 points. And I mean, really the DST scoring is so variable. But who's the DST to get this week? So we could say that for tomorrow, with our special sponsors segment. We could do that. But I'll give you a couple of options. You have, make sure you check the roster percentage of the Texans 49ers coming off there by week. But you know, could be the sneakiest one of all? Hmm. Your team. Oh, the giants against the eagle. Yeah, yeah, I like that. I like that. This has been a pretty damn good matchup for DSTs. Let me see what the commanders did last night. Yeah, they had their best game of the season. They had five sacks. I mean, yeah, you know what? I'm all in. I'm all in. I love it. Great stuff. Giant's going up against the eagles and infill it else here. But whatever. All right. We're taking over. We're taking over the link. Jamie, thank you very much. The kickers tomorrow. Tomorrow. Tomorrow over the kickers. We'll talk to you then. And remember, we have an AMA. If you don't get your question answered on the show tomorrow morning, join us for the AMA on the Bleacher Report app at 11 a.m. Eastern. See you later. (dramatic music) - Paramount podcasts.
