The top receiver target is Devon White, who has demonstrated strong performance against the Lions, with consistent targets and high PPR scoring, making him a must-add. Caleb Douglas is next, showing breakout games against the Raiders with 94 yards on seven targets, while Ray Harris enters as a potential third option if Lad McConkey remains out. Bryce Young and CJ Stroud are noted for recent strong performances, though their ceilings remain uncertain. On the running back side, Kaelin Black and Tyler Algie are recommended, with Black showing promise against the Rams and Algie maintaining a role despite limited targets. Devon Singletary is highlighted as a potential handcuff with limited opportunities in the Giants’ game, while Christopher Brooks is seen as a valuable back to monitor. an early look at the waiver wire right now on fantasy football today express yep we're going to get some week to help here and we're going to do with Jamie Eisenberg writes our waiver wire column and just so all of you know if you're new to the show if you're just stumbling upon this video maybe on youtube we have a waiver wire show every Tuesday starts at about 840 a.m. Eastern live on youtube.com/fantasyfootball today if you miss it you can watch it on demand or you can listen to it anywhere you listen to podcasts that's in the fantasy football today feed and yeah pretty extensive stuff but right now we'll give you a little a little preview a little sneak peek Jamie who's the headliner for the waiver wire don't forget we also have a waiver wire show on CBS Sports Network on two o'clock at excuse me 12 o'clock Eastern and two o'clock on CBS Sports HQ the headliner it's really all about the receivers at this point there's so many injuries to so many prominent guys that that's the position I think a lot of fantasy managers will be chasing so we're gonna we know the that AJ Brown and Deshan Stribling are out for an extended period of time Jacobi Lane as well we're waiting to find out updates on lad McConkey and now Jalen Coker and Alec Pierce so hopefully those guys will be healthy as well but clearly you got to find some some quality players in this position where you can some league start three or four players at that spot so for me the number one guy is Devon Vele you go look at what he did in the game against the Lions we know Jordan Tyson's out for at least three more games maybe longer than that you go back to last year it's now three of his last four games he scored at least 11.9 PPR points or more four of his last five games going back to last year he has six targets or more so he's going to get opportunities and I think we'll see the Saints offense continue to throw and throw and throw some more so Vele would be the number one guy to go get after him I would look at Caleb Douglas next we're probably going to talk about the dolphins receivers maybe a different one on a week-to-week basis but Douglas looked great against the Raiders five catches 94 yards on seven targets he was actually second on the team and targets behind Malik Washington you could talk you know yourself maybe in deeper leagues to getting Washington who had eight targets and played on almost every dropback with Malik Willis and three catches for 53 yards for him I still think Chris Bell has the most upside of the group only one catch for 25 yards but we know he's you know still working his way back from an ACL tear but for now Douglas would be the next guy to go get and then I put Ray Harris third that could change by the time we're talking on Tuesday morning if we find out that lap macaque is going to be okay but if macaque is out I think Harris gets a bigger opportunity and a bigger role he would be the third wide receiver to go get for me. Okay and yeah Caleb Douglas played I think Caleb Douglas and Malik Washington played basically every snap whereas Chris Bell only played 50s two percent of the snaps in this game maybe he will start getting ramped up a little bit Jamie how about quarterback so many there are so many you know this is this is one where I think it depends if you're looking long-term or short-term first let's start with the super flex in two quarterback leagues where you should go get Carson Wentz immediately and he's probably going to be the player that at least I'll say spend the most fab on because of what that position means in those leagues so we don't know when Kyler Murray is going to come back I'm at the point right now with if Wentz wins in week two against Chicago and plays well does he keep the job all season I don't know if that's a guarantee but why would they not go away from him you know last year it was easy to go back to Jay Jim McCarthy because Wentz was injured and McCarthy was expected to be their future Kyler Murray is not their future so if they're winning games with Wentz he may stay the starter all season long the next guy to go get for me in those formats if he's available would be Michael Penix obviously to a Tungawa Loa not have a good preseason injured right now Cooper Rush sucks Penix may step into the starting roles early as week two he's still only rostered in eight percent of leagues as of Monday so could be available in some super flex in two quarterback leagues and then Drew Locke Samdahl is going to miss one more game against Arizona Locke showed well against a good new England defense and I think he'll be potential starter for you in super flex or two quarterback leagues but in the one quarterback leagues the first guy that I would go get would be Jacobi percent 20 percent rostered 37 pass attempts it's now 10 of 11 games going back to last year I'm sorry 10 of 11 games last year he scored 19 fantasy points or more you kind of know what you're getting it's going to be a pretty good floor the ceiling could be 25 26 points but they're probably going to be in a lot of games with their chasing points this isn't a rare occasion with their playing with lead and he's still through 37 times like Jacobi percent going to be one of these guys that could cycle in and out of your lineup uh Bryce Young I know it's not realistic to expect that but if you go back to last year and this kind of ties into Jalen Coker if you go back to last year he's now scored at least 20 and a half fantasy points and six of his last nine games including week one so it's been a pretty good stretch for Bryce Young as a fantasy quarterback for someone I think a lot of us overlook uh next for me is a I kind of go back and forth between Malik Willis and CJ Stroud I think the high the ceiling's higher for for Willis he didn't have a great game but still got you 16.7 fantasy points because he rushed for 39 yards in a touchdown I think that rushing floor is going to be there for him and so that gives him the opportunity I think for some more spiked games Stroud got to 20 fantasy points I thought he looked good had the two fumbles both those defense is not very good I think we'll get some good numbers from CJ Stroud better than what we've seen the last couple of years but he's still got I think a cap ceiling so I put him after Malik Willis yeah fair enough and for Bryce Young it's he's uh 22% rostered I have to make some decisions about if I feel like he should be my backup quarterback on some teams you know if I should drop I don't think I don't know people are going to hear this but we'll see if drop my homes or bonyx or somebody like he might just be really good this year that was a really impressive performance or is he just kind of you know QB 18 is something like that cycle in and out of stream them based on the matchups we'll see but I'm intrigued I'm intrigued one more note on quarterbacks we go with the threshold of 65% in our leagues Tyler sucks the 66% if he's available we'll go get him because he's also going back to last year six of his last seven games at least 20 fantasy points and I think they're going to be one of the better passing offences in the NFL all right we'll take a break and give you running backs and tight ends to get on fantasy football today Jamie are there any running backs for those teams that need help so not a lot of guys widely available again going by our threshold 65% or less the one guy that's still available that is a must add to me for two reasons is Kaelin black first off he looked good against the Rams 14 carries for 65 yards um but the other reason is we know if something happens with christian McCaffrey black will be in my opinion a top 20 running back if not higher uh next guy would be Tyler algae or he's right at that number 65% he led the cardinals in every playing time number that you look at carries snaps etc um that's going to change at least we hope but I think he'll still have a role and still may get some touchdown opportunities but for now you can use him as a potential flex and then the third one is interesting I don't know if you agree with this or not but after watching the Giants game last night knowing that Naji Harris was inactive and Tyrone Tracy fumbled again Devon singletary had four catches in that games camps got a boohad no targets so I think singletary for me right now is the guy I would look at as the handcuff now that could change if they want to go to Harris as more of the physical back but we know singletary when he's gotten chances to play he's been productive throughout his career and I think I'll have a role in the passing game so he'd be the third running back to go at but after him it's just a you know a bunch of guys that played well in some limited opportunities Christopher Brooks I think you got to just keep denying the packers backfield because he outperformed yeah I go get him yeah and if you want to go there's just the we don't know what happens when they're playing with a lead against a weaker defense which could happen this week like does Marshal Lloyd who had more carries perform better than Brooks who you know average over four yards for carry words I think so but but the fact that we don't know he's like and maybe Brooks just plays better than Lloyd you know so sure I don't think right I don't think singletary is gonna overtake scataboo I don't know what's gonna happen there it's a good point I kind of feel like nausea will be active next week and Tracy won't be and then we'll see you know who who's playing what roles singletary was basically their third downback but yeah it's it's an interesting thought and we're kind of we're desperate you know that's how running back always is until there's an injury to a starter there there's rarely a guy on waivers that's really attractive to pick up and then on the other hand man every week last year we're talking about like five tight ends for there's so many tight ends that are like 65 70 percent roster then might be available in your laser but what are you thinking about tight end this week so I'm gonna go short term depending on what you need Michael mayor we don't know about we know bowers out this week if he's out it longer than that it's easily mayor just because you saw seven targets he was heavily involved in I don't know what that's my son's phone pocket this is what happens is apparent when you confiscate your children stuff I don't know what's gonna happen excuse me uh Michael mayor has a short term ad and then Dalton Schultz says the long term ad 51 percent roster for Schultz targets were there for him against Buffalo just the production was not but we know the bill's traditionally pretty good against tight ends so those two would be at the top of the list and then I put Hunter Henry third just with the injuries in just the injury to AJ Brown I think Henry's gonna have a bigger role he didn't have as many routes as you would have expected Eli Reardon scored the touchdown but I think the Patriots play a little bit more conservative and knowing the Romeo dobs struggled Matt Collins I think is kind of limited tomorrow Douglas kind of limited we'll talk about those receivers more tomorrow but I think Hunter Henry's worth a look then you have you know TJ Hawkins impact for iron with these guys you know five plus targets scored touchdowns we kind of just know what they are at this point yeah I think uh Schultz also maybe is a short term play though because he does get the bangles who were fine against Kate Otton but typically are terrible against tight ends I think it's a no difference we gotta hi yeah it is it is um but it's three years in a row so yeah um but uh you know I mean he had eight targets he's just not that it's not that good with the targets but um Okay, that's it for the early look of the waiver wire. We'll talk about it more in-depth tomorrow and also tell you who you should be dropping on tomorrow's episode. For Jamie, I'm Adam. Thanks for watching and listening everybody. See you later. FAQs

Devon Williams is the top wide receiver to target. He's been consistent with at least 11.9 PPR points in four of his last five games and has multiple targets in the Saints' offense, which is expected to continue throwing.

Caleb Douglas is the next best option, having recorded 5 catches for 94 yards against the Raiders. Malik Washington also has strong targets and playing time, making him a solid pick in deeper leagues.

Ray Harris is a solid option, especially if Lad McConkey is ruled out. If McConkey remains healthy, Harris' role may shrink, but he could get more playing time if McConkey is unavailable.

Carson Wentz should be targeted immediately due to his strong performance in recent games and potential to stay the starter. Michael Penix Jr. and Drew Lock are also viable options if available.

Jacobi Willis is the top pick, with 20% rostered and consistently scoring 19+ fantasy points in 10 of his last 11 games, providing a strong floor and ceiling.

Kaelin Black is a must-add after a strong performance against the Rams. He's also a top-tier backup if Christian McCaffrey is injured.
