-Hey, I'm Vladimir G2. -And I'm Kelly O'Grady. -And we're here to tell you about our new show, Straight Up. -Every week, we're ditching the anchor desk to break down the story the internet can't stop talking about. -And we'll have a cocktail recipe to match the mood. Straight Up is out now wherever you get your podcasts. -We're looking ahead to week nine right now on Fantasy Football Today Express. -Yes, we are beating that waiver wire maybe for week eight, maybe for week nine, valuable players that you should pick up right now. Dave, you might need help leading off the show today with the number one guy. -I could name a quarterback who's worth picking up. Three running backs, one of whom is on IR that would be worth picking up. Two wide receivers and two tight ends. So I don't have necessarily a favorite. It really comes down. It's just like the waiver wire back on Tuesday. What do you need? What are you going to need help with? Because in week nine, there's only two teams on by. It's the Steelers, it's the Titans. I don't know how many people are replacing Steelers or Titans other than Jalen Warren. And then in week 10, Chicago, Philly, Tampa, Denver, they're on by two, but that's two weeks from now. And so this is kind of a weird spot to be in. We'll help you out if you need somebody for week eight. But we've also got some names that you could just put on your bench and see what develops over the next seven to 14 days. -Okay, because based on all of your transactions on Wednesday night in our leagues, I thought Devon Singletary was going to be the guy. He is up there. Devon Singletary is available in 87% of CBS sports leagues. We know that the giants are comfortable having him play in a part-time role. We don't know what that role will necessarily look like when the giants are back on the field in week nine. And obviously, you can't use Devon Singletary. And we gave the giants a run by. But Kamis Gadibu is an injury. We're not sure if he's going to make it to week nine. If he does and he's good to go, okay, fine. Those two will split. We know Tyrone Tracy is on injured reserve. That's somebody that you could pick up and just stash on your IR. Tyrone Tracy is available in like 80% of leagues. Devon Singletary, though, will play. He's a running bag with a pulse who will get touches. He can catch the ball. He still has some okay moves and juice. But if he's playing for the giants and this offense is suddenly interesting, then maybe he's worth stashing on your bench. If you've got Jalen Warren, if you're relying on Tony Pollard, again, this is next week. Devon Singletary could be a potential starter for you, especially if Skatibu isn't ready to go for week nine. You know what? I'm going to go to my league right now where I have Warren and Pollard. And I'm going to take a look at the waiver wire. Good friend. All right. Who else? Why don't we just stick with running backs here? There's a few more names. Jamie's been talking about Seth McGowan for a while. And that would be the running back that would replace Jonathan Taylor in Indianapolis. And he's already rostering about half of CBS sports leagues. But if you believe that Jonathan Taylor is going to get traded, this is the next running back up. He'll have an opportunity. That's not such a bad thing for fantasy, even if his offensive line has taken a big step back with Quinn Nelson being down in this entire defense really isn't particularly great either for Andy, which means the game script will rarely be in McGowan's favor. If Taylor isn't traded by week 10, also we know then that Taylor isn't getting traded. The trade deadline will have passed. You'll feel a little silly for having Seth McGowan. But for now, he's one of the top stashes right up there with the Giants guys. If you're desperate for a running back in week 8, Elijah Mitchell is interesting. He's available in pretty much every single CBS league. Sequoam Barkley has didn't practice on Thursday. Jonathan Knight is available in about half of CBS sports leagues. Jeremiah love his practice. Tyler Algier did not practice. He's got a new injury, a toe injury, and really hasn't been that effective. Anyway, the Cardinals like to use multiple running backs. So maybe we're not done seeing Bam Knight on the field for Arizona and this week against the Cowboys high scoring game. And then if those guys are gone or if you're just absolutely desperate or maybe you're just the saddest, you can pick up Dylan Samson and get 10 PPR points. A couple of guys to stash. And I can't really advocate for this that big. But Kamani Videll, Keaton Mitchell. It's Chargers running backs. But I don't know what the usage will be like for them coming out of the buy. Videll was the one who was most efficient for the chargers. In each of their last three games going into the buy and their offensive line will get a little bit stronger. Joe Walters coming back. They may have something with their rookie left tackle. Eventually, Rashad Slater will be back. Maybe this offensive line will actually be better. So whoever the lead running back is for the chargers, you'd want to have them on your fantasy team. IR stash is just one real big name to bring up. And that's Tank Bigsby, who is available in 80% of CBS sports leagues, which means there are leagues that have IR spots. You can put Tank Bigsby in there. It'll cost you nothing. He could be somebody if Sequan's traded or if Sequan remains sideline, he could eventually come back in for Philadelphia. And I like his game. I think he's a pretty solid RB. Yeah, he only has to miss one more game. So he might be a week nine option. That's a great call on Tank Bigsby. Wow. Yeah, you're not getting him in any of the leagues you're in with me. Oh, we'll see about that. I already know. All right, we're going to take a break. And I'm going to do some tank bigs. Oh, my tank. Bigsby. Tank Bigsby. Tank Bigsby. We'll be right back. I've flustered. We'll be right back. Godfair, see football today. The Strato Tech T from Viori is one of those shirts you put on once and immediately get why people love it. It's incredibly soft. Stretches with you, dries fast, and still look sharp enough to wear from a workout to the ballpark without missing a beat. It's become my go-to T for pretty much everything. Head to viori.com/pod20 for 20% off your first purchase. Exclusions apply. Visit the website for full terms and conditions. All right, Dave. That was a lot of running back talk. How about we move it over to wide receiver? Caleb Douglas is already rostered in over 60% of CBS leagues, but he still might be out there in those 10 team leagues. And obviously, when we say that somebody is rostered high in CBS leagues, it doesn't mean that they're not available in ESPN leagues, Yahoo leagues, sleeper leagues. And week seven's going to be tough for Arm against New England. But after that, he's got Detroit, or I'm sorry, week eight's going to be tough for him. And then after that, he's got Detroit, Indy, Buffalo, the Jets. He's had at least 14 PPR points in two of his three games. He's not fast, but he's solid and he plays a lot. And you mentioned to me how Malik Willis is being a good caretaker of the football when he throws. He's not making a ton of dangerous throws. I kind of like that. And those opportunities will be there for Caleb Douglas and the other past catchers. In Miami, it just seems like he's the most ready to be a large contributor for the dolphins and a bunch of their game scripts are going to be pass heavy anyway. But he's already rostered, like I said, in a bunch of leagues. Antonio Williams is not. And this is the commander's receiver that should see the biggest uptick in playing time with Terry McLean out for the year. Not a lot of targets this year, yet. But he has some explosive plays on his record. He's a very solid player, a little bit more of a slot receiver than an outside guy. I think Washington will use them on the outside. And I think Antonio Williams, who's available in over 50% at least, this is the second week in a row that we're talking about him. If he has a big game, there will not be a third week. This is a good wide receiver to put under bench or potentially start as a low end number three option this week for the commanders. Other guys that if you're desperate for a wide receiver, there's Khalil Shakir, there's Ryan Flanoi. There's at least 11 PPR points in three straight games. There's Mackay Lemon. He scored last week, Adam and I Mitchell. He's had a big game at earlier points this season should be a high scoring game between the Jets and the Raiders. And then there's other names like Kendrick Boram like Washington. Those are three for people in deep leagues. If you're looking to stash somebody, Jordan Tyson is still someone who's out there probably more in 10 team leagues. Devon Valey is teammate, just in case Jordan Tyson isn't ready to go. And I've gotten a lot of questions about Travis Hunter. And whether or not he's worth stashing in the event that the Jaguars use them more. I think he is in deeper leagues. And so if you can get your cloppies on Travis Hunter, he's out there in over 90% of leagues. If he ends up playing, let's call it 25 snaps on offense. I would imagine that 15 to 20 of them, he'd be running a route on. And he could get it four or five targets in a game. And that's someone who could contribute, especially given his athleticism and skill set. I.R., wide receivers are not that exciting. Alec Pierce, Romeo Dobbs, Pat Bryant. It's kind of interesting. Dejan Stribbling is interesting. But those are guys you're going to put on your I.R., and you're going to have to be patient and wait for them to come back. Any quarterbacks you like for week nine? Malik Willis is on the list. He's available in two thirds of CBS leagues. He's had a bunch of big games lately. Lions have allowed at least 21 fantasy points to every quarterback this year. We'll see if Kyler Murray can keep that streak going in week eight. He's got Indianapolis in week 10. So that's somebody that I think you're not going to use this week unless you're crazy or desperate. But in weeks nine and 10 Malik Willis, especially if he does come through with a good game against the Patriots, love to have that guy on my team. So that's a good stash QB. And I don't know who really needs it in week nine because it's just Aaron Rodgers and Cam Ward. But if you've got Caleb Williams, he's going to be on by in week 10. You can do worse than Malik Willis. And your quarterback Adam wins the last time we had a giant quarterback beaten the waiver wire. You'd have to go back to all the way back to 2025 when we talked about Jackson Dart as someone to beat the waiver wire with. But JJ McCarthy available in 75% of CBS leagues has Philadelphia in week nine. Then Washington in week 10, a couple of NFC East matchups. You know those games are going to be favorable for the giants. Philly has allowed at least 23.8 fantasy points to three straight quarterbacks. We will see if Jaden Daniels can make it four. But JJ McCarthy's looked pretty good in his last five quarters. I think he's probably more reserved for those deeper leagues, but there is some peel to him as a week nine and week 10 potential starting option for your fantasy teams. And then we'll talk tight ends here. There's always tight ends to pick up. Let's take a look at Chico Conco, he's 31% roster. I'm sure he's going to be a name for you. Any other tight ends? He's neck and neck with TJ Hawkinson, who's available in only 36% of CBS Sports League's Hawkinson has the Lions this week, then the Bills, then the Packers, pretty good schedule for him. I don't know who's starting any tight ends in week nine, because it's the Steelers and the Titans and not a lot of great tight ends there. But in week 10, it's Colson Loveland on by Dallas, Goddard on by, maybe you're streaming tight ends. TJ Hawkinson, you should check for and see if he's available. And O'Coco is on that list, too. He's got the Eagles this week, then the Rams in week nine, that's going to be a little bit tougher. You've really detailed how the Rams do a good job against tight ends. Then the Giants in week 10 Cincinnati, Arizona, Tennessee, after that. And here's what I know about Chico Conco. Last week, Tirmic Lauren goes down, or the last game, Tirmic Lauren goes down, O'Coco has a season high and route rate, almost 90%, season high and fantasy points, 13.9 PPR. It's a second straight game with double digits in PPR. And Jane Daniels does have a track record of leaning on his tight end, but this tight end is different than the tight end. He had before, before it was Zach Hertz, who would run five yards, turn around, catch the ball. Chico Conco can be used in a bunch of different ways. And they're scheming him up nicely. He's working in the flats, he's attacking down field. He's kind of a mismatch problem. I have added O'Coco in a lot of my leagues as well. If you're willing to just kind of stash and see how he goes, or if you can't get your hands on TJ Hawkinson, I think O'Coco is somebody worth stashing. Yeah, I mean, I'm not just stashing him. I'm starting him in a couple of leagues this week. Sure. He stopped well for me. Yeah, you know, Kittle and likely out, but look, tight ends, he's not guaranteed to have a good game. Nobody is set for basically Bowers and McBride, but yeah, he's got good opportunity here. Okay. And finally, DSTs for week nine. Chiefs take on the jets, but they're already rostered in two-thirds of leagues, so you'd have to be pretty lucky to see them. And you could potentially use them this week against Denver. And then the Bears, 45% available. They just acquire Jeffrey Simmons. So we've seen their roster ship shoot up on Thursday. They've got Tampa in week number nine. That could be a matchup where I think the Bears could be pretty decent. Take a look and see if the Texans are available. And honestly, like they kind of suck. So there is that, but they are facing their next two matchups coming out of their buy or against the teams that give up the most fantasy points to DSTs. And then after that, it's the Colts. So it's the Chargers in week nine, the Browns in week 10, and the Colts in week 11. That's the Texans. They're 79% rostered. You know, maybe they figure things out in their buy league. There's just too much talent on that team, but then to be hemorrhaging points the way they are. All right, Dave Richard. Great work, as always. Good luck, everybody, in week eight. And let's get a step ahead for week nine. We'll talk to you next time on FFT Express.
