Fantasy Football Waiver Wire Week 5: Top Pickups, FAAB Bids, Drops & Streamers (Ep. 2241)

The podcast discusses key waiver wire targets for Week 5 of fantasy football, focusing on injury-driven opportunities. Will Shipley is highlighted as a potential running back pick due to injuries to Tank Bigsby and Sichuan Barclay, though concerns remain about the Philadelphia Eagles’ offensive line. Kendrick Miller is seen as a high-upside, high-risk option, especially against the Falcons, who struggle against the run. Ali Gordon and Jalen Reeves are considered fluid backfield options with inconsistent roles. Dante Myers emerges as a low-profile but promising wide receiver due to injuries to other targets and a weak Dolphins defense. Tyree Johnson’s potential return is speculative, making him a high-risk, high-reward pick for desperate managers. The hosts stress the importance of injury monitoring, matchup analysis, and strategic caution, with recommended bid ranges from $2 to $13 depending on position and situation. The episode also promotes fantasy planning tools and emphasizes the unpredictability of fantasy football due to injuries, player health, and roster depth. Ultimately, the advice centers on smart, data-informed decisions rather than chasing hype, with a focus on stability and matchup value.

This is an iHeart podcast, Guaranteed Human. I'm Lacey Mosley, author, actor, stand-up comedian, creator, and host of Scam Goddess Podcasts. The True Crime Comedy Podcasts, all about robbery, fraud, and those who practice it. Each week I bring on an amazing guest. Ooh, I scammed them. What? I could talk to you for an hour. You're a generational yapper, like me. That's why I had to make yapping a job. And now you can catch full episodes of my show on YouTube. Start listening to Scam Goddess on the iHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcast. Let's go, I've got it. Welcome into the Fantasy Pro's football podcast. I'm Alfredo Brown, joined by Jake Seale and Pat Fitzmorris. We're talking week five, waiver wire, Gents, and, uh, well, much like the rest of the waiver wire weeks. It's not a pretty one. But that means that we need to be more vigilant as we go through the waiver wire here. And we need to take a look at the players that we have available to us. And, guys, let's just start this off with the big name of the week. Because this is going to be something to watch. The waiver wire ad of the week. We're looking at potentially will shiply running back for the Philadelphia Eagles. But this is going to be one to take note of because Tank Figsby leaves this game with what seems to be a semi-serious injury. Pat, you wrote down will shiply. It's one of your guys for this week. How are you feeling about this one going forward? - I guess it all depends. We're going to have to follow the injuries on this one, Alfredo, because we had Sichuan Barclay leave the Rams Eagles game early with a hamstring injury. And then Tank Figsby would seem to be the first in line at least on early downs to take that work. And will shiply may be more of a passing down guy, but then Tank Figsby went down with some sort of injury. Couldn't tell whether it was growing or hip. But he was having a hard time getting off the turf. It's hard to imagine him being ready for week five. So will shiply could have this backfield largely to himself this week. And you know, Shipley's interesting. It's sort of an early declare guy from Clemson, good, versatile skill set, running, catching. There's a super athlete in high school like a track and lacrosse star. So we might be looking at a 20 touch game for will shiply. But there are some concerns here too, because the Eagles offensive line has been bad and that offense has not been clicking. Eagles fans are already lose. They're already calling for serionity to get fired a guy that's happening early this year. Normally that's like week eight talk. We're doing it here week four. Jake, I know that we have to wait and see what's going on with the injury with Tank Figsby. Is your top way of wire ad will shiply or is there anyone else that you might consider here? - It is if the Tank Figsby thing is that serious. They think they called it abdomen. And so that was kind of what's going on. But we felt that it seemed players with it seemed super serious and they're back out the next week. And then we've seen ones where it's like, yeah, you know, it should be only like a maybe day to day and then it's all the sudden. Two week later, Jalen Cooker by the way. So like there's all these concerns that like it might be, but I think the biggest picture, let's take it as in there is no Tank Figsby. Yeah, this shiply will be the number one, but I put him in the same book as the conversation we had last week with Braille and Allen. Is that volume is going to offset it? He's got the Jaguars this week, which I think is why we're going to probably know pretty soon on Tank Figsby, because they have to make the trip and whether or not he's even healthy enough to go through all that. But you're talking about volume against the Jaguars, the defense who have one of the better Rush EPA defenses, actually just have a good defense. I don't need to tell anybody that. So I think it's lucky what we got out of Braille and Allen this week would be pretty much what I would expect for Will Shipley. They probably add somebody off the street, paid me actually maybe call him Jalen Blues on their practice squad, by the way. For all those blue truthers out there. But I think Shipley would be like, hey, you know, 15 plus touches against the Jaguars. RB2, but we're not super excited about it. Everything Will said is kind of like what I would echo, but as in he's kind of slightly above average running back. I don't think he's going to really move the needle for this team and like fix their offense. That being said, yeah, we just thought Chase Brown come off of performance where he had 10 yards rushing here. But he also had 10 catches. So maybe we see some sort of Will Shipley 11 catches. Excuse me. Yeah, numbers, not my forte. I just, I just watch football. That's all I do here. Guys, we're going to keep talking more about some of these running backs, wide receivers, all the top way, for wire ads of the week. But before we do that, you watching, listening, if you want a chance to win the ultimate symbol fantasy glory, the fantasy football championship belt, courtesy of our good friends at trophy smacked, the number one destination for epic fantasy football hardware. And this is your moment. This massive gold plated belt is built to make a statement. It's bold, it's heavy, it's guaranteed to turn heads in your league. We'll be announcing a winner right here on the channel. So make sure you turn on the notifications. So you don't miss your chance to claim this championship belt and flex on your entire league. All right, guys, this coming week, we are going to have our first experience with buys both the chiefs and panthers are going to be on a buy week here in week five. So there's going to be the Ken Walker manager that's looking for a replacement to the Chuba Hubbard manager looking for a replacement. And I mean, panthers looking pretty good, but we're going to have to find a lot of replacements here. So let's start with the running backs. The top running back ads, Jake, I'll start with you on this one. I know we talked about will shiftly here a little bit. Anyone else that you think might be a good running back ad or you want to expand a little more on Shipley and Bigsby? A good like how you like to knock on that word there for a second. A good I think that's the question. I think yeah, the tank Bigsby will ship. We'll have to shake at like if it was like take the other side of it real quick, because we didn't really spend a lot of time on it. But if Bigsby is OK, I would expect them to lead. But I would compare this to the Steelers before doubt all got hurt. Is that it should be doubtless slash worn as in kind of the early down doubt all set, you know, worn and passing it, but like they'll be pretty close in a 50, 50, maybe 55, 45, but the game script could change it, which is why I probably frustrating on that side alone. I mean, outside of the names we've already talked about, unfortunately, one of the ones while we're recording, I think there's the most intriguing is Kendrick Miller, because I think he's the one. If you look at this wrist list list, wrist, keep Mitchell of time. Share Chris Rodriguez, we know who he is. Caleb Johnson, a Martian Lloyd of Chris Brooks is hurt. Maybe if you're super desperate, all of a sudden it's down to two instead of three. But the biggest one here, if you look down this list who doesn't need an injury to really have value, is Kendrick Miller coming out of the game tonight. Would it be a shock to anybody if he led 55, 45 and they just kept Camara and the role that he was in? I think that's why it's worth taking a flyer. So if you're on one of those leagues like Yahoo, where if you can drop somebody who hasn't played that was on your bench or has played that's on your bench that you didn't use, I would absolutely stash Miller before that game happens tonight. You could be throwing them right back onto the waivers come Wednesday. But this list is a lot of names that are just kind of like, yeah, I want to see an injury before it really gets super excited. That's what I had to say, is there anyone that's good to add for your team? Pat, would Kendrick Miller be the next guy up for you in the running back position here, especially because we have that Monday night game coming up here? I think we'll know more on Monday night and it's going to be a really good test for Kendrick Miller because you figure he might get some run on the early downs. And it's going to be Camara having the passing down work to himself. Falcons have actually been really tough against the run so far. They have been a total pass funnel teams are throwing on the Falcons like 72.8% of the time this year because they've had trouble running. So if Kendrick Miller is able to do any business on the ground against the Falcons tonight, that's a pretty good sign that he might be a worthwhile ad. Now that Travis, each N is on IR. Let me just add two more names real quick Alfredo. What one is a not-and-miley grow type of guy, but we should mention that a manual Wilson is only rostered in 49% of Yahoo legs right now. He had 20 carries for what 81 yards in a touchdown yesterday. And with Judarian price on injured reserve, if a manual Wilson is available on waivers in any league, he's going to be a popular ad this week for sure. The other guy, all right. So Jake and I believe favored Ali Gordon over Jalen right last week. And that looks good after Ali Gordon has the 100 yard rushing day. Has the big 50 what 53 yard run early in the second half. And then was kind of the clear lead guy the rest of the way after that. Jalen right actually started in that game. Jalen right five carries for seven yards against a really good Minnesota run defense. So you would think maybe, oh, now it's open and shot case. Ali Gordon is the guy, but it's been really ambiguous ever since last year. Who was the true number two behind of on HN whether was Jalen right or Ali Gordon. I think that might still be a fluid situation despite what we saw last week with Ali Gordon seemingly seizing command of that backfield. And I think Jalen right is still a worthwhile ad. Still only rostered in 32% of Yahoo leagues. Ali Gordon now pretty widely made thing for both those running backs is that it's not just trying to figure out who's going to be the guy for three or four games. That the whole season here. So we're probably going to see some ups and downs with both of these running backs. Ali Gordon not known to be the explosive guy making long runs or being the pass catcher out of the backfield. So Jalen right could see a little bit more work here for the dolphins. Guys, anyone else on this running back list here? I'm going to throw some names at you. If there's anyone else, Keaton Mitchell, Chris Rodriguez, Caleb Johnson. Are any of those guys interested in the way we're wearing this week, Jake? Like I said, the Caleb Johnson from desperate. I mean, Keaton Mitchell has the standalone RB three flux value that we thought he would want. We thought that it might just be the two of them under Mike Daniel and that that he's done this before. And now that it's a full blown committee, by the way, for everybody that didn't really check or watch that game. It wasn't even 50% of the touches for Hampton. Like it wasn't like he got 50 and Mitchell and but they all got 50. It was a full blown everybody got touches and Mitchell was right there alongside of them. And I think I don't even know if the final count might have been one more for Mitchell or somewhere around there. But yeah, so there you go. So it was, you know, if you're your desperate, like the only reason I bring up Caleb Johnson is because like I said, to go back to the Chris Brooks, and I'm not super excited by Caleb Johnson. I'm not super excited by Marshall Lloyd at this point, but you know, if you want to take the chance on the highest upside and maybe because Brooks is out, you get Caleb Johnson to get 50% of that work, then sure. And I, you know, on the Emmanuel Wilson side of things, he's like, yeah, not my league, but also I think that you might be one more week before Charbonne is back anyway. So that's kind of why I'm not super excited for Emmanuel Wilson. You know, I just want to pause really quick on the Amarine Hampton and the Chargers Backfield there is Hampton at any point here, Pat, a by low, or is this like we are fully afraid of the Chargers Backfield? And there was a drive late in that game where Hampton looked pretty good as sort of the lead guy. I do worry a little bit that Joe Alts, their right tackle left with a neck injury of some sort and they were already having issues in the middle of that offensive line. If Alts has gone for any length of time, I just won't avoid this backfield. And as Jake said, I believe the snap counts for those three backs were Keaton Mitchell, 26 O'Marion, have to 25 come on about 25. So that is as sticky a web as can be for trying to chase the right Chargers Back. Just to add on Caleb Johnson real quick. So the good news, bad news for him was that the Packers went out last week in a panic and signed three offensive guards, Lake and Tomlinson, McCuy Beckton, Kevin Zitler, Tomlinson and Beckton played their run running game was actually a little better. I think they averaged four yards per carry over four yards per carry against the Buccaneers who are always pretty tough against the run. The bad news for Caleb Johnson. He lost a fumble near the Buccaneers goal line when the Packers were trying to pad their lead and make it a two score game rather than one score game. So he kind of put the team in jeopardy a little bit there. You wonder if you might get thrown in a fumble jail for that. But then again, Martian Lloyd has lost fumbles this year too. So it's hard to penalize on Lloyd and just I know he was catching some passes. He had his one play where he jumped over a defender, but running the ball has looked rough from our sun Lloyd here early in the season. So there may be an opportunity for another running back to take over there. It has before we move off the running backs, what do you guys think we should be recommending people bid on Shipley or any of these all. Yeah, the fab recommendation for Shipley, like I was assuming no tank Bigsby and like that's the other thing like the Barclay, I'm assuming is multiple weeks, but again, this is another one we haven't got the MRI to know if like, oh, okay, it's going to be week to week and he might be back in two or three. So I'll go Fitz. I'll say four and there's no Bigsby on Shipley. I think you're going to have to go into the thirties. Yeah, that's not having the full information on Barclay or Bigsby. Right now we're recommending a range of 11 to 23. Yeah, I guess I could desperate people are desperate right now. I actually have a bid sitting for Will Shipley in a league of mine for exactly 23. I think I'll have to up it now after this, but yeah, coming up for Will Shipley Jacksonville Carolina Dallas could be a lot of pass heavy gamescript there for Will Shipley in the coming weeks with a decent floor running the ball of tank Bigsby and say Quan Barclay are both out. So I like the fab recommendation there. Was that was that on flex Alfredo's there and no, no, no, no. Is there any other running back this week, you'd be willing to double digits double the dollars on yeah, that's exactly it. Yeah, we'd have to see that Kendrick Miller has like a, yeah, Miller is in play and if you were really desperate and it's a deep league and there's just not a lot of waivers and Jalen Wright is floating out there. I might be willing to go 11 or 12 and just plunk him on my bench until maybe something changes in that. Yeah. So I'm letting my dolphins buy us hit me right now. All right, we're going to, we're going to move on to that. No, we're good. What do you want to see? Go ahead. No, I was just going to say and I'm, you know, I was kind of the Oli Gordon guy, but I recognized that that might not, it's not a static. It's just gross, man, the time shares on a bat off and it always just kind of gives me the Ick. I want to tell you guys about polymarket. Listen to NFL Pro on the iHeartRadio app, Apple Podcast, or wherever you get your podcasts. All right, Jens, let's go to the wide receiver ads here. Pat, why don't you kick us off? Who is your top wide receiver ad for this week? I think it's Keon Coleman, a player that a lot of fantasy managers have left for dead over the last couple of years. The former 33rd overall pick of the draft, a player that I think a lot of people thought the bills made a mistake on. trading back, letting some other wide receivers go in the first round of that draft and then taking Coleman at the top of the second. But sometimes, sometimes receivers take the more traditional path to success back in the stone ages. When I started playing fantasy football, it was widely presumed that you didn't expect a receiver to pop until the second or third year and Keon Coleman to really bad years. But you know, Devonte Adams had to pretty mediocre years to start his NFL career, fewer than 500 receiving yards in each of Devonte's first two years, really drop prone early with Green Bay. And Devonte Adams just went over 13,000 yards for his career on Sunday. And he's maybe an example that we should give these guys grace sometimes early in their career. Coleman really popped yesterday, goes over a hundred yards as it touched down for the bills. DJ Moore re-injures the shoulder that he first injured in what week two. So Keon Coleman might be the top outside receiver now for Josh Allen and the Buffalo Bills. And Coleman was good in college. Like he was, he made some phenomenal catches at Florida State. Just true highlight real stuff. Not super fast, but fast enough that the Florida State Seminoles had him returning punts in his first year. And I think at the combine where they do that drill, the gauntlet drill where they're running sideline to sideline and catching balls thrown at him from either side. I think Keon Coleman had the fastest time running that drill of any receiver in his class. So he's an interesting player. I wouldn't break the bank to get him, but I think he's the top wide receiver at this week. You have three breakout for Keon Coleman is not that we just had a year 10 breakout for Collie Freeman at this is, this is child's play here year three breakout. Yeah. I remember that used to be the role for wide receivers. It's just like, oh, they're not going to do much rookie years that can really get better 30 years when they really break out and there we are Keon Coleman. Jake, how do you feel about Keon Coleman and do you have maybe a different top wide receiver at this week? Yeah. I do have a different one because I feel the same that I felt back Keon Coleman. Like when he came out of the out of Florida State, I actually said he could be the best of Kenny golly and the worst of Kenny golly, but that kind of gives you the ideas. Everything that Fitz said, yeah, it was great, but he also does that against nobody. That's the biggest thing is like, I just don't, he doesn't separate. He doesn't get the space and I don't know that he's a great fit for consistency in this offense. And that's what it comes down to is that the reason I was so in on DJ Moore is because I felt like he fit perfectly for that big slot who can still separate. And that's the one aspect of somebody I trust with Josh Allen. I don't trust Shakira. I don't trust Coleman. I don't trust the consistency of King Kay from week to week because Josh Allen doesn't need to force it. Now there will be games obviously working on Coleman does pop. And I'm not saying that go after him. He's would be inside my top five overall, but he'd be behind a wide receiver that I'm going to go to different area. And I know it's been a complete mess for this team. It's been gross. The one thing that has started to finally happen is tray hairs that we talked about last year. And a lot of people were like, they drafted him. We were like, oh, they found their ex. They don't need to rely on Quentin Johnston anymore. They can just move on from that pick. That's a bust, which still looks like everything that we hope could possibly happen this all season. He's still a bust. But tray Harris is hitting tray Harris just led this team, well, I put that in quotes lead. The team and receiving yesterday as what people thought he could be an X wide receiver. That's a really good compliment next to Lad Maconkey, but unfortunately, Lad Maconkey's hurt. That's why I go for it is the fact that if they're going to get anything out of this offense and that tray Harris, if not for having the injuries and missing most of those rookie season and not really able to catch on, this was somebody that was thought of pretty highly a second rounder last year. And that everybody's like, they got their answer and they got their answer in the second round. And now it's okay. Well, he missed a lot of time and Quentin, no, he's taking the job. He might even be the one going forward if Lad Maconkey can't stay healthy. And again, I know this offense is a mess. But I would just take tray Harris on a messy chargers versus Keon Coleman for what only might be two weeks anyway, because apparently DJ Moore is only week to week at worst. So I know it's frustrating for DJ Moore owners, because I don't want to deal with this for the rest of the season as if the shoulder's going to have another issue every single week. But I would take Harris over Coleman. So coming up here, I mean, these guys feel very similar as well. Keon Coleman, tough matchup going up against the Rams this next week. And then tray Harris, which would have been a tough matchup if Pat Sir Tan was in going up against the Denver Broncos, but still a tough defense here. Both these guys have pretty tough matchups coming up. So let's talk fab then. What are we, we both, both you guys said, like, I don't really want to break the bank. So what's the idea here of what you would spend on them, Jay? How about you give us your fab recommendation for tray Harris and pat yours for Keon Coleman? So you mentioned part of it being the schedule, the other part of the schedule is we're starting to hit buys. So I might be slightly more aggressive. But for both, I'd be in the same range for both, maybe an extra dollar or two on Harris, but probably like if I'm doing Harris, I'm probably eight to 13 max. If I'm going after Keon Coleman, probably more like a six to 11 or 12. So like you see it, they're still, I'm not breaking the bank, I might go double to just if I'm needy and then a deeper league, but after everything, I just waxed so poetically about tray Harris is that I'm still not going crazy for either one. That's fair. Pat, what about you with Keon Coleman? Yeah, Jake read my mind on Keon six to 11. I think that's the right range. Can we, can we talk about the guy who might be a better ad for week five, Dante Myers? This is so interesting to me because if there's no, if there's no Jamar chase, and there's no T Higgins, this might be the guy that your league mates aren't even looking at because everyone's rushing out to grab Tyree Kill and Keon Coleman and some of like the bigger names that they know. But then Dante Myers might actually be the best ad of all of them, Pat, which is understandable that people wouldn't know a lot about this guy since he was a zero star college recruits who played at Presbyterian College in Delta States, failed to try out with the Falcons, kept working to try to get himself into football, signed a futures contract with the Saskatchewan Roughriders of the CFL after having to pay $100 to try out for the Roughriders. And it was on the CFL Roughriders practice squad for a year, came up in 2025, had a thousand yard season for a team that won the great cup. The championship, someone in the Bengals scouting department noticed him. The Bengals gave him a futures contract. He was terrific in training camp and they decided to release Charlie Jones there in common kick returner to give Dante Myers that job. And now Myers is contributing as a receiver to he's probably going to be their number one receiver this week. Like Jamar chase got wrenched down on that ugly play by the face mask and has a concussion now who knows if they're any neck issues to he Higgins with this a doctor injury, which is what is that groin hip abdomen. I don't, I don't know, I don't, I failed my, I dropped out of medical schools. I don't know. A doctor is, yeah, it seems like Dante Myers, plus they had Andre Yosevash on IR. They had rookie Colby Young on IR like this team is out of wide receivers right now. It's basically Mitch Tinsley and Dante Myers and Dante Myers was sort of the man of the hour and week four. So they've got a matchup against the dolphins who might have the worst secondary in the league this week. I think Dante Myers is going to be like inside my top 30 at wide receiver this week in the rankings. That was going to be my question for Jake here is if you do end up picking up Dante Myers, you're obviously desperate at receiver. And if you're picking him up and he does have this opportunity without Higgins and chase. Do you start him? Where do you rank him? What is he for you in your lineup going up against the dolphins this week? I won't be that aggressive. That's all on fits for that one, mostly because they did bring in Mitch Tinsley. They brought him back and if you saw late in that game, which I know you guys did is that chase brown. The reason he had 11 for 11 is because they started using a wide receiver with some BJP Ryan in the back field. I think there's just going to come down to what the Rams do and we're going to see Micah Sikki be the biggest benefactor in my opinion that he turns into the one or the two. But you see like Hudson involved and sample involved and maybe Eric all in like it's just going to be like a lot of tight ends. Maybe this Bryson Tremaine like I just I don't want to chase like it's a great story like it is. And I hope I'm wrong. Like I really do because it's such a good story. But I just look at Don De Meyers and I did not scout him in 2023. Emory Hunt did because he scouts like 8,000 people. And he let for for somebody like Emory who also loves loves small school and no name people. And he had him as like his 36th slot receiver. And I know there's been time and he's worked really hard and he looked good in the CFL. And it's good like I'm going to take his and like maybe he would have him today 15th slot receiver, which still means like I just I don't know that I'm going to ask a lot of somebody who's a great story, not a great talent. So again, I hope I'm wrong. I hope you're right, Vince, because it would just be a such a fun story. But I'm just going to I'm going to let somebody else even spend money on him. Like if I got him for zero dollars, cool, but I don't know that he would even get into my lineup. I'm not going to be inside the top 30 to 35. I wish it were for all my enthusiasm about Dante Myers in this week's waver article. My recommended bidranges two to four dollars on it. So I mean, it's crazier things have happened. Speaking of crazy things guys look at that transition, Tyree kill think and he's ready for some colder weather. And I have gotten this question already at least six times within the same game day of week four here. Did I drop X player for Tyree kill who is now 48% rostered in sleeper leagues? So it's how are we doing here with Tyree kill? Is this someone that you want to actively pursue? And if you are, what are you throwing down for so it would be great if he was coming in this week. Well, next week after the chiefs get off there by with Rishi rice. go ahead, Jake, I'm sorry to jump into your answer, but it came through as you asked the question. I don't know if it's on purpose. Alfredo, Adam Shafter developing. Rosenhaus says that Tyree Kill is going to be negotiating a deal with teams within the next few days. Well, so there you go. I did see here that one of the teams that has contacted Tyree Kill and his agent against the Chiefs. Yeah. Reunited in an offense, he knows going back to Andy Reed, and he did have four thousand yard receiving seasons over a five year stretch before going onto Miami and being even better there in his first two years. But had that terrible knee injury week four of last year, torn ACL, no specs on the other ligament ligaments damage, but apparently other ligaments were torn dislocated as knee. It was pretty gruesome. Supposedly he's targeting a November return. But I think it would be a leap of faith to assume that's going to be November 1st. It could be after we've carved our Thanksgiving turkeys that he is back. So Chiefs kind of need him now. We saw Taekwondo Thornton's foot go in a bad direction last week. He's done for the season. We saw the Chiefs lose Rishi Rice to a hamstring injury early in that game. So they're down to what Xavier Worthy, Jalen Royals, not sure what else. Is it Cyrus Allen time, Cyrus Allen, finally, he's just not going to give the team immediate help. We don't know if at age 32 coming off this horrible knee injury. I mean, an old guy can still produce. We've seen it. I'll mention Devonta Adams again, but I think the worst injury Devonta Adams has ever had his turf toe. He has not had a reconstructed knee. So boy, I mean, he's another two to four dollar guy only in a league where you have that roster. If you're someone who likes to churn the bottom of the roster, he is not for you because you would have to grab him and sit on him for probably one to two months. That's the thing here. I think with Tyree because that a lot of people are going to run out to add him and then they're going to find out that he's not ready to play for another four to five weeks. And then they're just going to drop him anyways and it becomes just a waste of a roster move here. Jake, anything you want to add to the Tyree kill stuff? I mean, you left out the other Yverseer. They have a Nico Romillo. So you know, that's a fine name. I'm so sorry. I'm so unprofessional for me, he oh, like Rufio, and I'm moving on. That's a good pull. Like, here's why you're like, I'm saying yes to Tyree kill because of what you started this with Alfredo, you said, I've been asked blank times already. I've been asked a multitude of times even last week when this rumor started, first started floating out. The biggest thing is what fit said is that it sounded like hopes to get out there by November, which is like, okay, why are we doing this if hopes to get out there by November. But you bring up the knee. The reason I say yes is because you throw some money on them, probably have to go into the double digits because of the excitement, but that's wise because if I can pick them up for even 12 bucks and he signs with the chiefs on Friday and people start wondering like, oh, is that mean that he can potentially come back after they're by? You're going to be able to flip him in a trading meeting, just and that's what be my move is to immediately flip him and sell high because the excitement is similar to Cyrus down in the beginning of season before they we even hit is like all this excitement for rookies, the excitement for these names, it's like the excitement takes over the reality and that's where you could get the value and tire kills being able to pick him up essentially for free. I say that, of course, because of how much fab you have to spend, but be able to turn him into something that's actually going to be usable before November. Well, if we're going to make room for all these players we want to add, we're going to have to drop some players, sorry to say it, but it's the dirty part of fantasy football. Before we get to that, everybody, I want to talk to you about the fantasy pros. It's a flavor planner. We'll go by position here and you guys tell me keep or cut let's start here with JK Dobbins, the running back 48 on the year averaging just under five half PPR points per game. Keep or cut pet. I'm going to say keep. I think the Broncos offense is going to improve and there might be more meat on the bone for Dobbins, but you know, I don't want to be starting him every week. I think he's a decent enough forth running back. Keep, it's a split backfield, but if something were to happen to RJ Harvey tomorrow, you know, we have volume reliant. So he's he's clear in that aspect. Well, we're going to have a theme here because there's some other split back fields. Next one up, Taijay spears running back 63 on the season. He does have a role in the passing game. We are seeing that he's getting snaps, but it's a lot of empty calories. It would seem Jake keeper cut Taijay spears. Yeah, you can move on in a shallow leagues. I really want and I've been saying this the entire time. Nothing to do with the Titans outside of stashing carnal tape on my bench and we finally got the carnal tape game, but I don't know if you can even put him in your line up next week if in the matchup. So yeah, look, 20 power needed eight billion touches and a touchdown to save his day because it was so inefficient. I want nothing to do with this team. Agreed. Cut. All right. Last running back on here, Pat. I'm sorry. I did this to you. Marcia Lloyd Green Bay Packers running back 45 on the year averaging five and a half points per game. Roughly. Not good on the ground. He did catch them passes and made a few plays here and they're the Packers coaching staff does seem to still have confidence in him. Are you keeping or cutting? We still have no word on the fate of Josh Jacobs and how long he's going to be in the commissioners exact list. We don't know about the Chris Brooks injury, which maybe winnow is this down to a two man backfield with Lloyd and Caleb Johnson. So I say for now, you keep him. I said, I said see you later last week. I'm still saying see you later. I know I brought up the Chris Brooks thing, but like of all these running backs and I'm going to have I think like I already look like 13 or 14 in my waiver article because I try to go super, super deep. Lloyd is still at the tail end of it and he's behind Caleb Johnson just because of how bad it's look. You brought it up. All the hope that we had Marcia Lloyd to look like pre injury, Marcia Lloyd. That's out the window. He's he's 80% pre injury, Marcia Lloyd. It's bad. I think just as a fantasy manager, I always like to ask myself, do I have a possibility of starting this guy in any given week? What is the best case scenario on which I start this player? And if I tell myself it's probably not happening, then cool, I think it's time for me to cut bait. He's a tourniquet for those 14 by weeks when you have two of your running backs injured. Don't forget, we still have 16 by the weeks because the NFL can't figure that out. I know. This is true. Eight four game weeks. Like it's so easy. It's not messing with us, Jake, you should write a letter. I have a strong, I think I'm going to write a letter strongly dear Mr. NFL, Mr, that's that's the commissioner's name. Let's go to a wide receiver here. We got some interesting names. Let's go with last week's darling right off the top rope here, Khalif Raymond, wide receiver 27 and fantasy, but then this past week, two targets, two catches, six yards granted us with Tyson, Beijing, and maybe it's not going to be seen for the rest of the season, but this is so fantasy football as soon as everyone buys into the Khalif Raymond 10th year breakout. Ben Johnson's like, no, that's you idiots, Jake had a lovely frame and like this is I picked him up in my home league and started him and I'm going to send him right back to the waivers. You can cut him because here's the thing. You bring it up. It was agent. And if you watch that game, this is what we wanted the bears to be target. But doings a burden, loveling, and that's it. Like okay, cool. If you need Raymond on the desperation, the biggest thing too is, and that's against like the jets aren't an amazing defense, but it was a good enough defense for me to sit there and watch that game and say, you know what, that offensive line looks a thousand times better than the first the first three games. And the thing that Raymond was benefiting from is that there was no time and he was the escape valve. So if this team is starting to gel also on defense question mark, if it's starting to gel all around and you're getting some time in the pocket, like we saw the game that we expected the bears to be. And I think you can throw Raymond back in, which just means, as you said, Alfredo, you know what's happening next week? Cleef Raymond, seven catches, 90 yards in a touchdown incoming. Well, I was going to say we got some very beatable secondaries coming up. Green Bay Packers and the Atlanta Falcons, likely without agent Serelle as well. So Pat, Cleef Raymond, you see a keeper cut. I agree. You can cut him. He's good of his weeks. You just can't ever start him comfortably. Yeah. Yeah. I think that was kind of always the case. We just finally bought in. Let's go to some bigger names here that it's going to feel weird to have on this list. But we have to have the talk, boys and girls, court and sudden wide receiver 102 holy jump scare. It's October. I looked this up and I just could not believe 3.3 fantasy half feet PR points per game. Wide receiver 102, Pat, you keeping or cutting? I would have said cut, but Pat Bryant got carted off with a leg injury yesterday. So he's number two back to being number two in an offense that I think is going to be better going forward. So I'm going to keep court and sudden for now. I you are you are incredibly right. I just think it's so funny that we're at the point. I was like, well, you know, Pat Bryant's gone. So we're going to get some more court and it's just this, this is where we are. I mean, I had five weeks in. Jake, how about you? Copy paste. Exactly. It's just he was gone. I actually cut him in a few leagues last week. But Pat Bryant would maybe just go stash him just in case. But we knew Cortland Sutton was touched down a bigger play reliant. It's just we weren't expecting it to be this bad. All right. This next one is a two for we're talking about. Aaron Rodgers favorite new receiver on the Pittsburgh Steelers here, Michael Pittman, Jr. Currently, wide receiver at 94 in fantasy points per game. Are you cutting Michael Pittman, Jr. keeping? And then one of the hot trending players right now to add on waivers is also Roman Wilson. I think the journey Bernard is another guy to consider here, but how do we feel about the Steelers? Why do you see for him, Jake? Yeah. I would actually make the switch though. I'm not expecting this to be continue. You said earlier in the show, I forget which player you say like, you're holding the dolphins bias. And maybe this is me holding on to my Roman Wilson bias of the fact that like, I liked him as a player and I have liked him as a player. He got the off season, but let me make this clear. He got the off season buzz. You guys saw it. Everybody did. And even I was like at this point, I was like, yeah, I'm kind of over it. I've done this like I've tried to root for Roman Wilson. I've tried to like him, but I've heard this before. But everything was like, oh, he's having the best camp. He looks great and everything like that. And then last week had that pass that went through his hands that led to an interception, essentially benched, which I thought, like, that's it. He's done. Aaron Rodgers hates his guts and Mike McCarthy benched him. And then we come right out from the gate. And who is Aaron Rodgers going to nonstop to start the game as Roman Wilson? Do I expect this to be consistent every single week? Absolutely not. Cause it's Aaron Rodgers. I don't expect Aaron Rodgers to be a top 10 quarterback every single week. That's two weeks in a row, which is a bit shocking. But I will say that Michael Pittman's time looks like it's done. I would make this swap. Roman Wilson will not make my top five, but he in the top five wide receivers, if only receivers only I run burgundy, then yeah, he might be there. He might be like fifth. Oh, Mike. The Colts have the chance to do the funniest thing. Just trade a day three draft pick for Michael Pittman to get them out of the process. They have very slight. And now they don't need them. Yeah. Yes. Said no one ever. How do we feel about the Steelers situation? A green getting rid of Pittman. I just, I'm not enthusiastic about Roman Wilson because the Steelers had 71 offensive snaps against the Brown Roman Wilson played 22 of them. He was fourth on routes in the team behind Jeremy Bernard. And Roman Wilson is kind of primarily a slot guy. They spend a day to pick on Jeremy Bernardo's primarily a slot guy. I just, you know, Wilson will have his moments, but again, a guy I don't think you can ever feel comfortable starting. All right. We got three more wider receiver names here. We'll run through these pretty fast. The Quentin Johnson, wider steer for the Los Angeles Chargers Pat. I think we kind of gave this answer earlier, but I just want to reaffirm for everybody. That's a, that's a thumbs down for you audio folks. Pat will even give him words. Jacob, what's you? I'm two weeks ago, Quentin Johnson, Marvin Harrison, Brian Thomas. I am not picking any of them up even Brian Thomas and Marvin Harrison coming off. And by the way, Marvin Harrison decrease in snaps, and even though he caught that touchdown on his one giant reception, I guess the giants, by the way, no, don't go back to any of them. So that leads me to the next guy, Marvin Harrison Jr. sounds like he's a cut for you and just leave him off. He already was. It was somebody else go pick him up off that game. It was great that he shoshed everyone. He gave everyone the shosh after he had the touchdown catch early in that game. And then he was hushed the rest of the game. It didn't happen. He shoved himself. Yeah. I want to see Marvin Harrison go somewhere else, man. I really do. Like he, I think he could be good on the Raiders, perhaps at least like it fit wise him and Fernando. No, chiefs. Chiefs. I mean, there's, there's teams that need people. Hey, go to the last one. The last one while I grab this bone from the dogs. Last receiver here, Chris and Godwin Tampa Bay Buccaneers, we've been seeing more Ted Hurst. We know Jaylen Macmillan is out, but the box offense just looks rough. I know we knew this was going to be the possibility with Jaylen Daniels. He was an undrafted quarterback coming out of Kansas. Turnovers were a plenty running was a plenty, not a lot of passing success there, Pat. So Chris Godwin, keep or cut not a favorable environment. And I just don't think he's the same guy he was before that grew some ankle injury in 2024. He had. Now, we're potentially looking here in reportedly seven weeks of no Baker may field as well. Yeah. That's, which is kind of nuts. Yeah, but I'd, so you go to Portland set, I'd start him over Portland Sutton against Cowboys this week because at least the one thing that we did see as Daniels treated like he saved you out the veteran over the middle that like needs to be like, again, I'm not super excited about it, but going back to Portland Sutton, which we were both so hesitant to do versus Godwin against Dallas Cowboys secondary on a short week, I'd take that just to give you comparison. Like this is down the list, but I would keep Godwin over a Sutton. That's guy on here, Kenyans to dig Ted in for the New York Jets, we've seen the ups. We've seen the downs. We've seen him with them without Adonai Mitchell, Jake, you keep in Kenyans to dig on your roster after picking them up. Yes, 100% to go back to the snap count for Roman Wilson. I think that was the entire snap count for the offense of the Jets. That was just as basic, possibly get. And I know Adonai Mitchell could be back this week, but if he's going to be playing through the hand thumb thing with a wrap or whatever, like you saw the upside of Cedig and we saw it like, it's just what happens. These are tight ends. This is on my podcast, like three weeks ago, it's an understanding like tight ends outside of like the elites. You're probably going to get 40% really bad games because they're tight ends. This is what happens. By Monday night, the advice is in your lineups are locked and all you can do is watch. Maybe you're protecting a one point lead. Maybe you need 12 out of your flex, or maybe your opponent has one kicker left and now every field goal attempt feels personal. Make one part of the night perfect. Get Dejorno Pizza ready for kickoff then settle in, enjoy restaurant quality pizza from your own oven and stay locked into the matchup through the final snap. You don't want to step away when one target, one touchdown or one unnecessary point can decide your week by Dejorno Pizza on the weekend run so you at least know Monday night dinner is covered. Rankings can guide you, waivers can save you, but once the game starts, fantasy brings the chaos. Dinner doesn't have to. It's not delivery. It's Dejorno. Let's move on to the top streamers that can be picked up off the waivers this week. We'll go position by position. Jake, I'll have you start fits. I'll have you go next quarterback, Jake, who are you getting as a streamer? We got what we wanted from this quarterback. We got two excuses. We came in mid game and then bad weather, but then we got the full James experience. Three touchdowns, two interceptions, everything we want in fantasy because as I said two weeks ago, you can't have garbage time unless you help create the garbage. That's what James Winston does and he gets to face the commander's secondary and that defense. I know the cults didn't show up, but that was more of a Daniel Jones thing than anything. I think that the James experience is going to be what the James experience is and as long as Malik neighbors and hope that that shoulder doesn't scare the crap out of you, as long as that thing holds on against the commanders, he should be in play as a top 15 quarterback. Yeah, Bordel's Wilson out here creating his or Winston, excuse me, making his own garbage time. Fitz, who are you going with here at quarterback? Everyone racks the Lions past defense that's Jacobi Bressette's turn this week. Jacobi Bressette kind of remains underrated streamer week and week out here for the Cardinals. Let's go to tight end. Fitz, I have you kick this one off. Who's your tight end streamer this week? Jake mentioned him in passing earlier, Mike Gisicke with the Bengals trouble some injury situation. A wide receiver. Gisicke is going to play an outsized role this week. Jake, what about you at Tedden? I'm going to a situation where they're forced to go one tight end because everybody has hurt and then Tyler Higby in the match up for this week. I think if you saw what happened with Higby last week, if this was Parkinson or even Ferguson, people will be going crazy. And if you look at the Rams this week for the match up situation, it's on top of that as well. I'm going, I'm chasing the Higby. Again, this is streamer territory, though, as we know. And my favorite position to stream every single week is the DST. Kick us off here. Who's the DST that you're looking to start this week? So interesting. I said, you know, the bear is sneaky getting, like, the best young player they trade away. And it's like, Hey, our defense is somewhat good question mark. But the one thing is that they got after the backfield and the quarterback, they got pressure in that game against the Jets. Well, they are surprisingly inside the top 11 for pressuring the quarterback. You know who's higher than them? At seventh, the Browns going against the Jets. So I'm going to chase the Browns in this match up. And I think that's surprising, too, because you get rid of Miles Garrett. Oh, by the way, you're still a top 10 pressure in defense. So I'll just go against and then Gino's been playing good football, but we saw how bad it could be when it's bad. It's bad. It's bad. It's bad. Fits you DST. I'm going to go with the Cowboys because they play the Buccaneers. Jalen Daniels, the undrafted rookie fridge in quarterback for the Buccaneers was not a total disaster against the Packers in week four. And yet, he threw two interceptions and was sacked three times. It could be worse than that. The Cowboys not a good defense to this point, but against the undrafted rookie fridge in quarterback, I will take my chances with them. And then probably the biggest moment of the show here, guys, which kicker are you looking to stream in the coming week that you can grab off waivers? That's all. Yeah. I'm going to, Jake does not do kickers, so I'm going to give you one for Jake. Jake would want us to have Cairo Santos because even with backup quarterbacks, the last two weeks, the Bears offense has put up 27 and 23 points with backup quarterbacks. Cairo Santos for a team that's going to score a lot of points this week against the Packers. And you know that Ben Johnson is not going to take his foot off the gas against the team he hates. And the other one would be, I'm going to go with Matt Gay of the Raiders. Raiders are averaging 28.8 points a game and have scored at least 26 in all four of their games. And Matt Gay booted his 10th field goal yesterday. So he's been one of the better fantasy kickers so far. Here's the only one I know. And I don't even know how to say his last name, like it starts with a z-year something like why don't you bring up the giants? Yeah, like isn't he like like the best rookie start to 10 for 10 or something kicking like yeah, I just I don't want I don't want the kicker on a Jamest Winston team Because he's going to throw those interceptions that shorts that touch down or And by the way as far as the Matt gay thing kicks in New England last week I even check the weather for people everything looks good in New England Don't have to worry about it north nor East or blowing through There you go. This is Jake's favorite part of the podcast talking kickers Talking triggers and weather. This is our weather All right guys, this is the time we put a bow on this episode here and we put in order our top overall waiver wire ads Jake, who's your number one waiver wire ad for this week? Yeah, it goes back to it like I'm actually so I originally said who would be six But I'm gonna combo the first one and actually bring up who would be six, which is the exact snake preview It's the same one that fits has but the bigs be shiply thing It's bigs be if we knew he was okay, which it doesn't sound like it will be by the time or will know by the time you have to run waiver So if not it's shiply And let's just get the rest of your your top five here You said it's being will shiply up at the top who finishes out that list for you at the top Chandra Miller because I'm just going to take the chance that he shows up somewhat tonight Even at 50 50 split and that would be intrigued for me tray Harris. I said that before I would take him But Keon Coleman right after him and then Keat Mitchell would be fit because everybody needs running backs And I think the only difference is we have one player that's different in our list between fits and I and Harris He doesn't have in the running back. I'm like, yeah, whatever you can have him Yeah, the lists are the same just a different order here. So fits why don't you give us your top five overall waiver as for the week? Well, it's will shiply at the top. I'm assuming tank bigs be won't play this week Jalen Wright is actually number two for me. Still think he's a good speculative ad Keon Coleman number three Kendra Miller number four. He could be number one depending on how Monday night goes and then kind of a big drop off to Keat Mitchell At number five kind of in any port and a storm running back for people who've got buy issues They have it everybody we give you our top waiver wire ads going into like five And feels like the season is going so fast, but like still slow at the same time and kind of ridiculous But if listen if after Monday night you still have more questions about the way or why don't forget We've got our weekly waiver wire live stream on our YouTube channel where you can come and asking your specific waiver Wire questions will be with you there every Tuesday at 3 p.m. Eastern. FAQs

Will Shipley is considered a top waiver wire addition, especially if Tank Figsby is out due to injury. He has a versatile skill set and could see 15+ touches against the Jaguars, though he's seen as slightly above average rather than a game-changer.

Key concerns include the Eagles' weak offensive line and an inconsistent offense, which may limit Shipley's production. Additionally, his role as a passing down back and the uncertainty around his injury status add risk to the pick.

Yes, Kendrick Miller is a potential waiver wire pick, especially if he's playing against a tough run defense like the Falcons. His performance in the game could signal his value, making him a flyer pick in deep leagues.

Dante Myers could be a strong option due to injuries to Jamar Chase and T.J. Hopper, leaving the Bengals with limited receivers. He's had a strong season in the CFL and is now a key contributor in a matchup against a weak secondary.

Pursuing Tyree Kilgore is risky due to his ongoing knee injury and uncertain return date. While there's excitement around a potential November return, managers should expect a long recovery period and avoid overpaying.

The recommended bid range for Tray Harris is $8 to $13, with analysts noting he's a safer pick than Keon Coleman due to better matchup and injury concerns in the Chargers' backfield.
