Fantasy Football Mock Draft 2026: Best Picks at #6 Overall (10-Team & 12-Team League)

Initial Strategy for 10-Man Mock Draft How to draft from the 6th overall pick and fantasy football using round by round pick by pick analysis past data and trends as well as some individual breakdowns. We're going to start with the 10 man move to a 12 man Hit the subscribe button if you enjoy analysis like this, whether it's fantasy football pregame breakdowns or post game breakdowns on posting daily football content for you. As you can see we are on the board with JSN available to us. The overall strategy here ideal first pick is JSN unless Christian McCaffrey falls. Then we move to the new Christian McCaffrey strategy that outline in my one O 5 mark. But if Pukuku or Jamar Chase falls, who I transparently do have a little bit higher than JSNJSNS like this Tier 1.5, I think these guys are a little better. I got questions about the offensive coordinator, that situation there you take them. But the bottom line here is JSN is our first round pick and it makes the most sense. You have a really high floor wide receiver. You're anchoring your wide receiver room. The principles in this draft if you're in a 12 man, which I'll do here in a minute, it's really important to note that this strategy is probably the most different. But this is an awesome spot either 10 or 12 man if you want a team full of receivers at least one running back in a new situation, at least one to two top 12 running backs. I'll talk about that and why here in a second and then one or two upside wide receivers and new round a new situations rounds 4 through 6. I'll talk about why as we move through this draft. Now we are on the board here with Drake London, Ashton Genteel, Marion Hampton, Chase Brown, the top players available to us transparently, I Ashton, Ashton Genti is the best player on the board right now. But if I wanted to take Drake London, if I wanted to lean into that, here's how I would think. Do I think I can get another top 12 running back? I'll talk about why top 12 running back here in a second. If I wait, let's say 10 more picks here with 123-4567 of the top 12 off the board. I don't think so. Top 12 running backs are really important because last season 3 of the top 4 backs we're taking the top 47, the top 10 taking the top ten, nine of the top 10 taking the top 15. The outlier Cam who was a rookie. The other guys, Kyrie Williams, high-powered offense. I compare him to Javonte Williams this year, but Javonte new system, Amarion Hampton new system because he was a rookie. Travis A Chant, new system, Ashton Gente, new system because he was a rookie. So I look at these guys and Ashton Gente I do have as a top 12 running back and think that is probably the best pick. He's going to be the focal point and I'm crossing off that box of getting at least one top 12 running back in my draft. Now there's a real chance I got another one. I've done mock drafts with Chase Brown is following Kenneth Walker. It's one of me. So Kenneth Walker goes so I can't get one of those top 12 running backs. That's OK. In this process I said one to two top 12 running backs and 1 running back in a new situation. Now in a 10 man, when you get in the rounds 5 and 6, guys like Quinshawn Judkins, guys like Basil Tootin, guys like David Montgomery, Cam Scataboo leaving because he's in a new offense, he falls under that. They'll be available. I don't love Scataboo as much as those other guys, but they will be available and I would feel really comfortable taking those guys. Building Wide Receiver and Running Back Depth When you look at who you want to get next at wide receiver, I feel really comfortable with our floor. I feel like we've anchored our room really, really well. So I think it's more about upside. In terms of upside between Pickens, Olave, Neighbors, the best players who are on the board. I think it's not a no brainer with Neighbors, but assuming he's healthy, that is the pick. As you can see here, I have him in this Tier 3 with guys like George Pickens and Rasheed Rice, but I think Neighbors because of the upside is a little bit higher. You take him a little bit more do the other guys. So I feel great about our wide receiver room now. However, that does not dissuade us from again taking one to two upside wide receivers in rounds 4 through 6. Last season for the top ten wide outs were in new situations. The year before that same thing, 2023, three of the top 10. So we want to identify the best new situations for wide receivers. But as you can see, actually wrote this, I think in my one O 5 approach, I made a note of it somewhere. Maybe. No, it's in one O 6. So when you're looking at these guys, prioritizing running backs and rounds 45 and even 6 is important. If you only get 1 running back in your first 3 picks, if two of your first 3 picks are wide receivers, likely top 2 tiers. That's exactly what happened to us here. So what do you do? Prioritize does not mean pick. It means you ensure you're minimizing the risk of losing out on one of those new running backs in round 5 or even 6. Javonte worth it in round 4 falling yes. Why? He gets the goal line working at top five to ten offense and he got paid this offseason. So we bet they very clearly believe in Javonte Williams and that to me might be the most important thing. So as we look at this spot, we didn't take George Pickens here. So we're not doubling up on Cowboys Javonte Williams as a really high floor running back to allows us to lean into upside elsewhere throughout the draft. When you look at new situation, wide receivers, guys like Tiegen, not too sorry, not too Garrett Wilson, Luther Byrd, Latin, Cocky's A Flowers, Devante Smith, Mega Muka, JM model. They're probably going to be available for us. I just named what, 6 guys, six guys. There's 10 picks between when we are picking now and picking next with two other wideouts on the board. Lamar Jackson on the board, Colson Loveland on the board. I feel pretty comfortable we're going to get a new situation wide receiver in the next round. So I'm going to take Javonte Williams as my running back to here and wait see. OK. Lamar Jackson goes, Higgins goes, McMillan goes. So I'm pretty sure that almost guarantees us we get a new situation. If I'm not fully, if I'm not mistaken. Loveland goes, Henderson goes. Yeah. So we have a Mechegbuca or Jalen Waddle as our high ceiling new situation upside oriented wide out and I'm going to take Emeka Buka. I love Jalen Waddle in the in the Broncos offense. I think there's more mouths to feed. I think Sean Payton also goes about his offense in a way where you're not always pumping targets to a guy a Mecca. Buka is entering Zach Robinson offense great year from Drake London last year had Puka his rookie year. Like I I feel more comfortable with Mecca Muka. I love this roster so far. As we enter round six, it is still important to note we still want to get at least one one running back in a new situation. If you're in a 12 man, you don't want to double up on premium rounds 5 through 7 unless undeniable value falls. If you're in a ten man, I don't think it's that bad. If you do now Basil Tootin, a running back in a new situation in a Jaguars offense, that's going to be awesome to me as a no brainer pick here. So we are going to take him. But as you get into Round 7, there's going to be tight ends, death ball, there's going to be quarterbacks in the fall. We're going to see who's on the board and we're going to make the best pick available based on who's on the board. Jayden Daniels goes, Jalen Hurts goes. I would have really liked Jalen Hurts, But Harold Fannon junior is entering a Browns offense, a Todd Munkin offense that threw to the slot an extremely high rate in all three years when he was in Baltimore. He ran the most routes from the slot last season. The only thing is there is an upside wide receiver and Carnell Tate that is staring at me in the face right now. Staring at me in the face. I think with 123 teams needing tight ends, there's a pretty good chance Fannin goes. There's a decent chance all of these guys go. These guys go. Now it is important to note that in the past, tight ends. Last season, top three were drafted tight end, one tight end, 2 tight, and three the next three. All were drafted outside the top 100. Then the top top 8, excuse me, half of them were drafted outside top 100. Five of the top 10 drafted outside the top 80. So it's not that bad, I don't think, to wait for a tight end. But is there a bigger difference between Harold Fan and Junior and let's say or Rhonda Gadsden or Sam LaPorte, who I do think has, you know, some question marks there compared to rookie Carnell Tate and then rookie Jordan Tyson or rookie McKay Lemon, who might be there for us next round? I think there's a noticeable difference between the tight ends. So I'm not going to wait around. I'm going to take Herald fan and junior here. I'm going to wait for quarterback. I feel comfortable, especially because only one team right now if we really want to take quarterback needs one. I'm going to take Herald fan and junior at our tight end. Let's see you guys. Obviously, Carnell take goes. Jordan Tyson does go Kyle Pitts on board. We see if there's another tight end here. OK, so I think we made the right call taking a tight end because I'm not convinced Fannin would have been there for us. Probably would've gotten craft if if that was the case. But now we're on the board here with Makai Lemon as an upside oriented rookie. I feel confident in our running backroom. I would feel a little bit more confident, confident with a guy like Romandre Stevenson, with a guy like maybe like a Jadarian price. Late-Round Quarterback, Tight End, and Upside Picks We just have to prioritize again, getting Mike, sorry, not Mike Washington. I was thinking Ashton Gente, Zach Charbonne later on, like I don't mind that. RJ Harvey, to me that the Broncos offense, unless you're getting Bo Nicks, there's just a lot of mouths to feed and I don't feel super comfortable leaning into it that much. I think it's worth taking an upside guy, Makai Lemon, who again is stepping into a role where he's going to be the motion guy. He's going to be buying eyes. I don't have any Eagles. I'd like a piece of that offense. I think that makes a lot of sense. Here's how we have to approach them. This is a live mock traffic. I'm talking you guys through this especially because in this one O 6 approach rounds 6789 like these are solid spots for quarterbacks. Now I said don't double up in premium rounds 5 through 7. I'm not going to. I didn't actually. So we can wait a little bit for quarterback, but you look 12 teams don't have quarterbacks. I think Dart is in a tier above these four guys. If they take Dart, that's OK. We wait again because 1234, all of those teams have quarterbacks, so I'm OK waiting for quarterback right now. The question becomes who do we think is more likely to get taken between a rookie wide receiver and then a muddy backfielder, Andre Stevenson or Jadarian Price? I think the Kyle Lemons more likely to get taken. I know people love RJ Harvey, the past game role. I think that's going to be a committee kind of always is. I'm going to take Mackay Lemon as the upside oriented wide out here. We'll see who goes off the board. Jadarian Price does go off the board from Andre students and does go off the board. So again, we're waiting a little bit for running back now. I feel good about our running backs. We have two pretty safe floor running backs in my opinion. We also do have Tony Pollard who's on the board who is on the last leg of his contract. He's in an offense Brian Dabel offense at threw the running back position at a top ten rate. I think it's a pretty safe backup, kind of contrasting a really high upside backup in Basil Tootin. And again, all of these teams have quarterbacks. Dart does go, but when you're in a ten man, I think there are 12 top quarterbacks. I think Trevor or Dak Prescott. I have a spot below Lawrence, but Prescott kind of bottoms out that quarterback room. And I think if you're really leaning into your strategy and approach, you can wait a pretty long time to take a quarterback, like much longer than you think, especially because they're, I don't think or they're going to fly off the board when teams already have elite starters. Like this team hasn't lead starter, this team hasn't lead starter. This team has lately, we are going to be OK in quarterbacks. I'm OK waiting right now for quarterback taking Tony Pollard as our running back for. I feel really comfortable with the depth of our team as well as the tight end position. And I think we're in a really good spot now. Again, no quarterbacks come off the board here, right? Herbert's available, Dax available, Trevor Lawrence available. I think those 3 quarterbacks are again, the bottom of the top 12. And I would love to get a top 12 quarterback, especially because I think Trevor Lawrence's guy who's getting his full group of weapons back or getting his full weaponry healthy, I think he's above DAC. Call me crazy. I think he might be above Herbert, too. My question becomes, this team does not have a quarterback. These four do. I would be shocked if all of these quarterbacks came off the board by the time I'm picking now in the 11th round. But I got to ask, is it even worth taking the chance? Like is there a player on the board right now that I want so bad? I do like Wandale Robinson, but is there a player on the board that I want so bad that I'd be willing to take a chance losing a top ten, top 12. Excuse me, quarterback for no, like I I don't think so. And call me crazy. I'm taking Trevor Lawrence over Justin Herbert, Dak Prescott. But now we're in a spot here where, OK, OK, Justin Herbert goes off the board with this team, Mahomes goes off the board, DAC goes off the board. So we made the right call. Look at all these backup quarterbacks flying off the board. And that's one of the most important things I've written down around a 10 through 14 awareness of positional runs and what you need be aware, running back handcuffs. We'll talk Raiders here in a second and then targets, receiver, running back, quarterback, all this stuff. Now we're in a spot here with Trevor Lawrence where we should probably get a backup moderately soon. I think Bo Nicks has a lot of upside. My question becomes, again, there's going to be a run on tight ends, quarterbacks and maybe both in the next 8 picks. What do we think is more likely? Because I feel really good about our running back and receiver room. Like we have 4 guys in each position that we're all all taking the top 10 rounds, top 9 rounds. So I, I feel good about that. What do we think is more likely? This team has one or sorry, there's 1234 quarterbacks off the board, there's 1234 tight ends. So you're, it's kind of just a coin flip at this point. What do we feel least confident in? I feel less confident. It's tough. I feel less confident in my quarterback room with the understanding that also two really high upside tight ends, I'll talk about why here in a second will probably be available for us. I am not going to take the chance on losing really high upside backup quarterback in Bonex and I'm going to take Bonex as my backup. OK, here come the tight ends that ends are going off the board. But again, here you go. There's four tight ends. The upside guys that we like are still there. Could we have waited? Yes, but I personally would not have taken these four guys, maybe Dalton and Gabe, these four guys, Kelsey or Goddard over and Isaiah Likely or a Kenyan city like I talked about with these tight ends, right? There are guys who were drafted outside the top 100 and then vaulted into the top 100 the following year. Why though? Why, right, Tucker Craft became a starter, quote, UN quote, became a much more important pass catcher in that offense. Kyle pitch. There wasn't really anything new right there. There wasn't really anything new in terms of points per game. Dallas Goddard, nothing really new there. San Le Porto was injured. Harold Finney junior was a rookie, though. Tyler Warren was a rookie. A couple of these guys who vaulted into the top 10 after not being in the top ten and Trey McBride also, and I'm not going to say a new situation, but Trey McBride and Brock Bowers were in newer situations. But these guys vaulted in the top 100 largely because I think they were a new situation. Now you look at this, there is going to be a right a run on tight ends here. So we have to take a tight end right now or else we're not going to get a high quality, high upside backup. Kenyan Sadiq is in a Jets offense that loves to throw the slot. Also, to me, watching them pick him at 16 when they don't really need a tight end said a lot. I think about their approach and how much they like him. So it's between him and then Isaiah Likely who's in an offense that again is good. They paid him over a wide receiver to this offseason. They obviously like Cami, came over with Harbaugh. We also do have Malik Neighbors on a roster and I'm not convinced I want to double up there because there are questions about that offense. So I'm going to take Kenyan Sadiq, the rookie to the top ten tight ends last year were rookies. I think he probably has the best opportunity to finish as a top tight, top ten tight end out of any rookies. And now we're a spot here where like we have doubled up at backup quarterback. We feel really good about our running back in wide receiver room. It's straight up best player available or highest upside guys. Now we took Ashton Gente, so I do think we should probably take Mike Washington, right? We should make sure that's a priority. But you know, I don't think he's going to be available or need to be picked anytime soon. When you look at high upside wide receivers guys to pick, I love Debo, I think Debo's an awesome pick. I really like Jonathan Brooks, but at the same time we, we have 4 of each. I feel comfortable with our running backs right now, 4 starters. I would rather take a higher upside wide receiver in. Again, if you're watching this before your draft, a week before your draft, whatever it may be, I do advise you if your league allows for it, most do. Don't draft a kicker. Just wait to take a kicker. Use your 16th round pick on a handcuff because or sorry, don't use your 16th round pick on a handcuff. Use your 16th round pick or last pick or whatever on a high upside guy that you're OK with dropping because a lot can happen a couple weeks before the season trades, depth changes, whatever it may be where you could take a high upside guy like let's say a tank down. Tank down is all of a sudden two weeks before the season he's playing Week 10. That could be the number one pass catcher in Houston. His ADP is going to vault. People are going to Sprint to the wave ride, pick him up. You already have them on your roster. You can do that. You can drop somebody else like draft, don't draft the kicker, wait to draft the kicker because they are expendable pretty much. And you could pick one up right before the week starts or season starts. So I'm looking right now at high upside players. I don't know who's catching passes in Indy. I think Josh Downs has a decent opportunity to truly be the number one pass captain there. So I'm going to take him. And again, now we're in a spot where we have what, 5 tight end or five, excuse me, wide receivers, 2 tight ends, 2 quarterbacks, 4 running backs. Like, I feel pretty good about this roster. We're going to take another running back, Mike Washington. We're going to take a defense and then we're going to take the upside pick. So while there are some elite defenses on the board like a Patriots, I do like the Chargers a little bit later on because I think complimentary football is going to be a factor there. It's probably the upside guy at this point. I think the best upside guy is probably Jonathan Brooks. Like I take my chances with Jonathan Brooks, who could potentially be the starting running back in Carolina over a Debo Samuel. I do really like Debo, but I'll take my Jonathan Brooks right now, not risk losing him a little bit later on. And then we will take a Mike Washington, we will take a insert defense and then again wait for our kicker. So I really like our roster right now. And again, when you find trying to find defenses, I personally like to look at schedule, find complimentary offenses. Like right now, I think the Chargers going to play good defense, obviously, but they're going to take care of the ball. They're going to have the ball a lot. Like I think to me, that's a really solid pick. They're going to get after the quarterback. I love this roster. I think this is a really, really soft 10 man mock from the 106. Obviously we anchor our wide receiver room. Obviously we wanted to get another top 12 running back. Kenneth Walker goes to pick before we're OK with taking the league neighbors. We just got to prioritize getting running backs later. Javonte Williams falls, which is really nice. We get the running back in a new situation. Don't double up at premium in these rounds like 5 to 7, five to 8. And then we double up on quarterback because we wait take Kenyans sneak high upside rookie tight end. I really, really like our roster right now. Let's move to a 12 man. Core Principles and Early Running Backs in 12-Man Hit the subscribe button. You can see Puka Nukua on the board. Now transparently, I think JSN is the pick, quote UN quote at the one O 6. But you're taking him only if CMC does not fall. But if CMC is taken and JSN is taken, Puka Nukua or Jamar Chase or one of the top 2 running backs, which never happens, is going to fall to you. Now, what's really nice here is the strategy, whether you're taking Puka Nukua, JSN, Jamar Chase, a receiver at the One O 6 is the same. So we're going to take Bukuku Nukua and we're going to move through this strategy. The principles here, 12 men, most importantly, we didn't do this in the 10 man because it's not that important to in 12 man it is do not double up on premium quarterback tight end must. There's crazy value falling to you in rounds 5 to 7, five to 8. You will be in trouble with your wide receiver depth, especially your running back depth if you do that. The other principles here, one to two top 12 running backs. I'll talk about why a running back in a new situation and then one to two upside wide outs in new situations and rounds 4 through 6. So we're on the clock right now and you can see there is a huge run on running backs happening. 1234567891011 running backs. I said top 11 to 12, not transparently. Kenneth Walker. Derek have in my top 12 Jeremiah love I don't right now so you don't want to leave these rounds. I know there's eye candy with tight ends. It would be really cool to take a Trey McBride. It'd be really cool to take broadcast. If we walk out of here without a top 12 running back, we are in trouble. Why? Last season, 3 of the top 4 running backs were drafted in the top 47. The top 10 taking the top ten, nine of the top 10 taking the top 15. The outlier was a rookie Cam Scataboo. Then you had other outliers. Javonte Williams, Omarion Hampton, Travis Agent, Ashton Gente. Those were for the next five guys. That finish in the top 15, they were all in new situations or their rookies because you know, those default new situations. The only other one was Kyra Williams. He's in a high-powered offense. That's awesome. That's great. You can take him or a comparable guy, Javonte Williams this year I think in rounds 3 to 4 if they fall. But that to me, and it's not a top 10 running back, is a little bit too much of A worry and I would rather anchor my running back room with a guy like a Derrick Henry, with a guy like a Kenneth Walker to ensure that I am making a high floor roster, right. We take smart, educated upside swings and rounds 3, four and five. I want to make sure my roster is in a really good spot where if those upside swings don't hit, then I'm not, you know, in trouble. Now, my running back ratings. I do have Derek Henry one spot above Kenneth Walker, but on the off chance that we get Zay Flowers, I'm going to pass there. I'm going to take Kenneth Walker as my running back. We really like taking Zay flowers in these one O 510-6107 mocks because he transparently is often available. So now we're in a spot where again, it may make more sense to take a running back, guys like Josh Jacobs, Kyrie Williams, Bruce Hall, Bucky Irving falling. I don't love the idea of doing that. But when you get in around 4, when you have the upside wide receivers who are available like a Luther burden, Aladdin Mcconkey is a Flowers, Rhonda Smith, Mega Buka, Jayla model, it makes a little bit more sense to lean into those guys. Whereas reaching for AT Higgins Temic, it wouldn't make a ton of sense right now. What do we want to identify when we're taking these running backs, though? A new situation, quote UN quote, new offensive coordinator, improved offensive line. I'm not in on Green Bay like that, at least from the run game. I think Kyrie Williams is awesome. It's a safe quote UN quote pick, but I I I just I don't know. I can't do it because Blake Corms right behind him. I think Blake Corms an awesome player. I think he's going to take touches. Breece Hall would be really cool. I don't know how much stock I can put into that Jets offense. Bucky Irving again would be a good pick. I think he's going to be the starter in Tampa. They also went out and got Kenneth Gainwell. Like how confident can he be there? Obviously Travis 8 Chan has Alvin Kamara behind him, but he's going to Kellen more offense. That's going to run a ton of plays. He's going to be involved in the past game and big trend here. They paid him, they paid him and that does matter. So I'm going to take Travis HN as my second running back right now. And I feel really good about the floor of our running back room, which really nice. Once you get in these 45678 rounds running backs, you get slim pick it slim picking. So you have an opportunity right now to take good high floor running backs and feel really comfortable with your team. And now we have a nice opportunity again, avoid the eye candy to take a new situation. Guy Ladd Mcconkey, who has, in my opinion, crazy upside in this Los Angeles Chargers offense. And I love his fit schematically with this Mike McDaniel offense. You can see he's had a lot of success with Waddle Tyreek Hill. He's going to be, in my opinion, the number one pass catcher there. I love the usage for Lad Mcconkey in this offense. So taking him as a high upside wide receiver too. I feel really, really comfortable with this team. Finding Upside Wide Receivers and Mid-Round Running Backs Now the principal at the 106, when you get in around 5:00 and 7:00, unless there's undeniable unbelievable value falling, you do not double up at premium. You do not double up at tight end quarterback. Now when you get in the rounds 4-5 and six, you do want to make sure you prioritize running back or a new situation guy. But we also have two, I think safe running backs, even though they're entering new situations on our roster. So we're deciding between a guy like a Cam Scataboo versus a Jameson Williams now. I think Cam Scataboo probably has the most upside over a lot of players who are on the board right now. I do like Carnell Tate. I do like him, but I also think when you're getting around, I don't know, 6 even around 7:00, you could have an opportunity to take Makai Lemon like I, I, I would feel OK missing out on Carnell Tate for a different rookie. We just got to make sure we get one. Whereas when you're getting around six and seven, some of these running backs were going to be available. Like do you love RJ Harvey and a Broncos offense that's going to be really, really, in my opinion, committee based. I don't Jill Moran has to deal with Rico Dowdle, Tuba Hubbard and Jonathan Brooks right behind him. I know Cam, I know Cam Skaboo has Tyrone Tracy. He's going to get the goal line working when I think is a good offense. He runs really hard. Maybe we prioritize getting a Tyrone Tracy a little bit later, but I really do think Cam Scataboo is the best pick for us here. Again, a really safe high floor running back room and then coming back around round six. Round seven, we'll see who's available. Also potential Jalen Hurt spot here. We'll talk. Well, he goes, so never mind. But like I said, I'd feel OK missing out on a Carnell Tate because a rookie like a Jordan Tyson would be there. The only thing is we took Travis HN, so we have to ask ourselves, is it worth doubling up on that Saints offense for upside there or do we take a Makai Lemon or do we risk it with Makai Lemon potentially going between now and the next 10 picks? And then we're stuck with an upside guy, quote UN quote in an Alec Pierce, who's on PUP right now. Grant, he would be the number one wide out in that offense. I honestly don't feel super confident in our receiver room right now. That's OK. Like we want the upside guys. We want the rookies. It's Jordan Tyson, or to me, it's Makai Lemon. Now, it is worth noting that Tucker Kraft and Kyle Pitts are on the board and these two teams do need tight ends. They they could absolutely take tight ends, but this team's receiver heavy, this team's got three wide outs. I, I think there's a real chance Makai Lemon is there for us next round. My question becomes though, is it worth risking losing Mackay Lemon and again, quarterback, we're going to wait a little bit because I think the guys Jalen Hurts, those those tiered guys are off. Is it worth potentially risking losing a rookie, an upside oriented rookie? Excuse me for a Michael Wilson, Parker Washington, Alec Pierce, who I think is, you know, a tier below at least the ceiling of these rookies. And we take a Tucker craft. I'd be OK waiting for George Kittle a little bit later and making sure we get Jake Tunges on our roster. So I I don't think it's worth taking. I I don't think it's worth leaning into. I really don't. Now, I also think there's a world where I take Jordan Tyson and McKay Lemon is still there and I would feel OK doubling up on that Saints offense, largely because Kellan Moore runs a ton of plays and there's going to be a ton of opportunities. I'm OK doubling up on Jordan Tyson right now with McKay Lemon go in the next pick. We just have to make sure our wide receiver room is solid, especially because, you know, all things considered where we're, you know, placing our chips, where we're leaning into our roster. Jordan Tyson would not be the starter, but I do think he has the upside. Like I talk about all the time when you look at wide receivers for the last 10 or for the top ten last season, new situations year before that same thing, year before that, three of the top 10. So he is one of those guys who's in a new situation that could absolutely explode. Now I'm looking at our roster right now, the best players on the board, we got a need for quarterback, dart goes, but you got 123 teams who've taken quarterbacks, 123 who have not. Let's say 3 quarterbacks go 123. I think Trevor Lawrence is in a different type of different tier quarterback than, you know, the the next guys, the Mahomes, the Purdis, the Stafford's. So that's the last place I'd draw the line. This team I think is going to get in trouble at quarterback. I'm OK waiting for quarterback. It just becomes, you know, who's the best player available right now that we could take. I'm not, you know, super gung ho on Cortland Sutton. I'm not super confident in Kyle Pitts. I feel OK waiting for a George Kittle and then taking Jake Ton just a little bit later on. I feel OK getting a guy like room Andre Stevenson as our running back four. However, I feel less comfortable with our wide receiver room. I'm going to take Alec Pierce, who again, got paid. That is always a big, big determinant in this. I also just don't know who's catching passes in Indy. He's the number one wide out. You're losing, it's like I don't remember how many yards, but a decent amount of touchdowns as well for Michael Pittman, like somebody has to step up. And to me it's Alec Pierce, assuming he gets off that PUP list. If he's not, you put him on your IR to start the year. I think he's absolutely worth the pick there. Quarterback, Tight End, and High-Upside Final Selections And then coming back around like we we'll be OK. I think at quarterback Lawrence goes, but at the same time, that team doesn't have a quarterback like we're we're going to be fine at quarterback. Now we can get into another little discussion here where 12, 3, four teams have a quarterback, only one dozen. I'm OK with Herbert or DAC. The only thing is I don't know if I want to stack Lad Mcconkey and Justin Herbert necessarily, I'm going to take DAC at quarterback, not risk it, not even risk, you know, potentially 2 quarterbacks coming off the board. Does a backup potentially come off the board in these next rounds? If it does, we definitely made the right decision. But looking at the quarterbacks who are out there, OK, a backup came, we made the right decision. And look at this, George Kittle sets up perfectly to be taken. Now when you get into these later rounds, it is really important to know. So be aware of the positional runs as well as your needs. So a lot of backup tight ends and backup quarterbacks are going to be coming off the board really, really quick here. And honestly, they already are, right? I am not in trouble at backup quarterback, but because I waited for DAC, I would feel more comfortable taking a swing at backup quarterback early, especially because I think a lot of backup quarterbacks and backup tight ends are going to come off the board. Now. They got a backup tight end. This team didn't even have a tight end. They have elite tight ends. I feel good about our roster at the receiver position. Do we need a higher upside running back? Yes. I'd like to Zach Charbonnay, assuming he's back in, let's call it two months. I I honestly would really like a Jonathan Brooks as our running back 4. But I feel so good about our running backs right now that I'm OK waiting a little bit. The question becomes how comfortable were you with Dak Prescott? I feel really comfortable with Dak Prescott. How comfortable are you with your starting quarterback? You taking your 8th, 9th round? Is that a worry? Are you going to potentially lose out on a high floor backup like a Jared Goff or because Dak I think has a really high floor, do you want to take a guy who could explode and have high upside like a Kyler Murray or a Tyler Shuck, even a Baker Mayfield? I'm good waiting. I'm good waiting for a high upside quarterback because I'm confident in Dak. Then it becomes tight end. Do you want to take a high upside guy like an Isaiah Likely or a Kenyan Sadiq and again, stash George Kittle and Jake Tunges and get a big edge of that position? Or do we want to ensure that we get one of the running backs we've been talking about? I think it's worth taking a Zach Charbonnay, especially because we don't have a running back 4IN round 10. I think it's worth that putting him on pop and again, obviously we have two players we're going to. We're on pop right now, but I feel so confident in our depth that I'm not really worried about it. When we take a guy like a Jake Tunges a little bit later on, as you can see, Boom, Kenny and Sadiq as our upside oriented tight end is on the board. We could take Jake Tunges and put him as our backup. I love where our roster is at right now. I love where our roster is at when you talk about the tight ends and why you draft certain guys. Three of the top six were in new or sorry, were out drafted outside the top 100 last year for the top 8 drafted outside the top 105, the top 10 drafted outside the top 80 and a couple of those guys who entered the top 10 after not being in the top ten the year prior. Rookie rookie Tucker Kraft got elevated and essentially was in a bigger role in the pass game. But Jonathan Brooks does go to pick before us. That kind of stinks. I still feel like we're in a really good spot. We do need a backup quarterback. But again, I think, you know, this team has two, this team has two, this team has one, this team has one. We're going to be OK at least for another round at backup quarterback. We have 4 running backs, 4 tight ends. The question becomes where do we feel least confident in our roster? I feel pretty confident in our starting 3 running backs, but I worry about Zach Charbonnet a little bit, especially because he's on public. We don't have right now an active 4th running back. However, I do think Tyrone Tracy a little bit later on would be a really nice pick If Cam Scotty were to go down. I also think he's going to have a role in the past game in New York. Do you want to double up in the same backfield? Probably not, especially if it's not a handcuff for a guy like Kenneth Walker at wide receiver. I do really like Debo Samuel. I outlined this on my Twitter. There's a link in the description. Make sure you fall if you haven't already. Debo, to me is a higher upside guy when we're waiting for guys later on in the draft. I do think it's worth mentioning guys like Tank Dell, who could be a Week 1 starter. We'll talk about that strategy here in a second. We also have to make sure we do get Jake Tunges and Jake Tunges probably going to be available for us in a while. And people are getting their backup tight ends. Do we worry about losing a backup quarterback right now? Probably not, especially if we're going for upside. I think right now the best pick probably is Debo, especially because I think as time goes on, he's his ADP is going to go up. I'm not going to risk losing out on that. I think he's going to have a pretty important role in San Francisco. Baker goes, Tyrone Tracy does go to the pick before us, so again, we're not in trouble at the running back position. Three of our first 5 picks were at the position right? And we feel good about our flex if we had to bench when he's running back. So he got hurt. Whatever. The question becomes though, where do we want to lean into in the running backroom? Do we want to make sure we get Emma Johnson as a handcuffed to Kenneth Walker? Do we want to take a guy like a Keaton Mitchell who has a lot of upside? Like that becomes the question, regardless of what we want to do, though, I think I'm not convinced that Emma Johnson's even going to be there for us. This team has two quarterbacks. This team has two quarterbacks. Again, we still need our backup quarterbacks I think are going to come off the board. I'm not going to risk losing Kyler as a really high upside backup who has the rushing production is throwing to Justin Jefferson, Jordan Addison, TJ Hogs and Jawan Jennings. Like he he to me is too good of a a star to pass up. And I'm OK waiting on a Kenneth Walker handcuff, even if it miss means we lose him a little bit later on. I'll take a different handcuff. I'll take a a Keaton Mitchell. I'll take a Keaton Mitchell as our running back five. And again, as we get into these final rounds, we have to make sure we get Jake Tunges went off the board, didn't you? Are are we in trouble here with Jake Tunges? Did I miss something? I was looking at running backs. I got scared there for a second. Jake Tunges is still on the board and we're going to make sure we take him unless there's a good defense that's available. Oh, the Minnesota Vikings defense is available. But the same time, in all my drafts, I've been taking the Chargers because I feel like they're going to play complimentary football. They're going to be really, really good at the line of scrimmage. So I'm going to take Jake Tunges and, you know, wait for the Chargers. If they I don't get the Chargers, I don't get them. But when I will tell you, make sure you are not drafting A kicker. I highly suggest you don't draft a kicker. Pick him up a week before the season starts, especially because there's going to be like, let's say George Kittle on my roster gets elevated before week one, right? He's ready to go week one. There is absolutely no need for me to have Jake Tunches and George Kittle immediately comes off that IR spot. Any of these guys, the Chardonnays, the Alec Pierce's and this transparently guys is a riskier way to drab. This is not for the faint of heart, but I feel really comfortable with our floor with DAC and Pukukua that's starting running. Like I feel comfortable with our floor. But if you wait to draft a kicker, things change. Depth changes, trades happen where you're taking extra shots. Like what if Omarion Hampton, God forbid, you know, missed the first couple weeks of the season and we took Keaton Mitchell later on because we didn't have to worry about a kicker. There's a high end starter for a couple weeks. Maybe it gets you an extra win or two, gets you an extra 30 points for like, it's not worth taking a kicker at a position that's already volatile. That changes week to week unless you're getting, you know, Brandon Aubrey, even a Cameron Dicker. But a Brandon Aubrey, like I, I don't think it's worth doing. We're taking our defense. We're going to take the Los Angeles charge right here. I do feel really comfortable with our Ross. Now, transparently, this is one of the riskier drafts that I have done, but I'm OK with it because in the 1st 5 rounds, our floor is extremely high, especially in PPR. Assuming all of these guys are healthy and ready to go, this is a really, really, really high floor and I think if Jordan Tyson breaks out, he can elevate that. If Alec Pierce is truly the number one in New Orleans or sorry in New Orleans, Indianapolis, he can elevate that. I don't love doubling up on New Orleans, especially in the first six rounds, but we had to take a rookie wide out and I would feel more comfortable with Tyson than Lemon. And then George Kittle, assuming he's back, he is going to elevate. I think Kenyon Sneak has a lot of upside as the season starts as well. Zach Sharpen, it could be the starter like the first 5 picks really first, yeah, first 5 picks safe. That is a great way to go about your draft, balancing that with some upside from Ladd Mcconkey and Travis A Chan. But then the next couple picks outside of a floor setting quarterback are really, really upside oriented. And if one to two of these guys hits, this is going to be a really good roster.
