Fantasy Football Draft Q&A: Biggest Risers, Sleepers, & Busts for 2026 (Ep. 2146)
61m 4s
In this Fantasy Pros live Q&A, hosts Seth Woolcock and Derek Brown tackle pressing fantasy football questions amid a wave of NFL training camp injuries. They highlight uncertainty around tight ends like Sam LaPorta and Tyler Warren, advising managers to consider alternatives such as Brock Bowers or Colston Loveland. The Keenan Allen signing with the Colts reshapes their receiving corps; Derek ranks Allen above Josh Downs and Alec Pierce, citing Allen's strong route-winning metrics, while avoiding Pierce due to his injury and new role. Dynasty advice emphasizes cautious trading, using pick values to avoid overpaying, like countering a top-four 2027 pick offer for Loveland with later picks. For draft strategy, they recommend prioritizing elite quarterbacks and tight ends in smaller leagues, but focusing on running back and wide receiver depth in larger formats. They debate player values, favoring Jalen Coker over Tetairoa McMillan due to ADP gaps, and boosting Travis Etienne after Alvin Kamara's injury, while expressing skepticism about Saquon Barkley's efficiency. Jonathan Brooks is a sleeper with RB2 potential, and late-round picks like Bryce Lance are endorsed. Overall, the show provides actionable insights on injuries, trades, and drafting approaches, emphasizing adaptability and cost-efficiency.

All right, and welcome into Fantasy Pros live on Twitch.
And what a time it's been in the NFL world as of late as training camp continues to unfold.
And with the injury stacking up on the players, you might want to draft in your league.
So we're firing up another Q&A coming your way right here on Twitch.tv
slash Fantasy Pros to answer your burning questions.
I'm your host, Seth Woolcock, joined by a man who,
we found out last episode, plays the role of Mr. Belding around these parts.
That's right, he's bald, he's sarcastic, and sometimes a little cranky
if he doesn't get his energy drink in the morning.
He's downtown Derek Brown.
D-Bro, thanks so much for taking time out of the busy schedule of wrangling the kids all day
to hang out with me and the Fantasy Pros family.
Cranky, huh?
All right, that's how we're starting it off?
Okay, all right.
You chose violence today, Seth.
I'm here for it, man.
I'm here for it.
But actually, it's been a little bit more productive and efficient around these parts.
Kids are back into school, so now I'm just playing the unpaid, the role of unpaid Uber
driver every single day.
I've got another meet the teacher thing tonight.
So lots of fun in the afternoons on a daily basis, fighting the Texas heat and picking
up kids.
It's definitely trying not to let the road rage get the best of me.
Hey, that's why you probably have a cupboard of number one dad mugs, if I had to guess.
I don't know if you use mugs so you don't drink coffee, really, but I bet you have a
cupboard full of them, no matter what.
This was last year's, there you go, that's last year's, this is basically just the junk
drawer of my desk, but that was from the kids last year, Father's Day.
There we go.
All right.
All right.
Hit it right on the hammer, hammer right on the nail there.
There we go.
Hit it right on the nail?
Guys, go ahead and drop your questions below.
Let us know how we can help you.
Maybe we'll get some mugs in the future from you for number one fantasy football draft.
Analysts, we'd appreciate that, and we'll be sure to get to as many as we can over the
next 55 to 60 or so minutes, and also you can check out Fans Pro's YouTube channel and
podcast feed.
We've got a ton of great episodes out there and short form content.
Derek, I'm going to be sitting down with Dr. Deepak Chona on Monday, and I've never looked
forward to hosting an episode so much because it has been brutal the last seven to 14 days
it feels like in the NFL calendar.
And today, Sam Laporta, does he play week one?
And today?
No.
No, I didn't.
Oh, you didn't see that?
Yeah.
Sam Laporta popped up with a hip injury, and they asked Dan Campbell, so do you think Sam
Laporta is going to, how does it look?
And Dan's like, well, I don't know.
Maybe he's out there.
Who knows?
It was so nondescript that I'm like, oh, that's just wonderful.
So this just makes even more of a case.
Get your Brock Powers, get your Colston Loveland.
Tyler Warren, we don't know.
Sam Laporta, we don't know.
Tucker Kraft playing limited snaps.
Oh, tight end got rough really fast for every year when we say it's deep.
Yeah.
We say it.
We say it.
That's for sure, man.
I'll tell you what, Dr.
Deepak Chonan did put out something about Warren earlier today that he is expecting
him to play week one.
I'll get more information from him on Monday, but, you know, Harold Fannin is looking pretty
sexy all of a sudden in the sixth round.
I'll tell you what.
I mean, and not to push back against Deepak or anything like that.
I just think the thing that we have to remind ourselves also with all this injury stuff
is even with the Tyler Warren stuff.
We really do not know.
Sure.
Oh, sure.
Yeah, yeah.
The teams lie consistently all the freaking time.
And if everybody doesn't believe me about this, I kindly point you, go watch any one
of these Netflix documentaries and you can point out multiple spots where Baker has an
entire purple arm and nobody knows that week and he's not on the injury report because
he's wearing a damn sleeve.
Yeah, right.
So you don't know that that's the case.
Amon Ross and Brown gets hand, foot, mouth, snaps a rib.
Is that on the injury report?
No.
No.
So these teams constantly lie and the NFL doesn't hold their feet to the fire.
So just take all of it with a grain of salt.
That's all I'm saying.
Nope.
Completely agreed with you there.
And, you know, you've been doing a great job, D bro.
You're putting in our analyst chat every day.
Every time an update comes through, update the rank.
So, hey, you're doing a, you're doing a great job as well as our audience.
Thank you guys all so much again for tuning in with us today.
We got Dresi hanging out with us.
Jay Chow saying, yo, yo, D bro.
And Seth, what's up?
Jay Chow, great to see ya.
We got Cap saying, let's go.
Good to see you, Cap.
Miranda, one of our favorites, checking in as well, saying, hey, pros.
Frankie Love, 88, saying, what's up, guys?
Squid Wild saying, what's up, drafters?
We got Prezzy hanging out again as well.
And, yes, glad you, Cap, were finally able to make a live show, man.
It's a great Thursday afternoon here.
And, D bro, what do you say, man?
Will you get to some questions and start helping the fine people of the world?
Let's get it rolling, baby.
Let's light this candle.
All right.
First one is from Jay Chow saying, how are we feeling about the effects of Keenan Allen signing on the other members of the Colts receiving group?
So, take the Tyler Warren injury out of it, and let's just assume maybe he, in a perfect world, he does play in week one.
Maybe not 100% effective, but he's out there.
Where are you ranking the Colts currently in redraft from a season-long standpoint, Derek?
I didn't move Daniel Jones, and I didn't move JT, so I want to just throw that out there.
So, the way that I'm approaching. The way that I'm approaching this entire situation, Alec Pierce, I think I moved him down a little bit further.
He's at wide receiver 46 for me, and I'm pulling up right now where we're at with. Here, let me see one second.
I'm pulling up real-time ADP, so I can juxtapose this with where I'm at versus real-time ADP.
And everybody, if you're not up to ADP, fantasyprose.com slash realADP gets you there fast.
Alec Pierce is wide receiver 40.
I am below consensus on him.
He's at wide receiver 46 for me.
I moved this down because I just don't know. When you look at the addition of Keenan Allen into this passing attack,
I think that there's an easy outcome where he plays the Michael Pittman Jr. role in this offense of last year.
Where he's playing a little more outside, then?
Yeah. Dude, he played 60%.
I don't think that people understand that.
Keenan Allen played 60% on the perimeter last year.
And I'm not saying he's going to touch that number this year, but to the Alec Pierce point,
with Alec Pierce coming off this injury, he could just be shoved back into the field-stretching role
and not asking him to assume a new role in this offense when he hasn't been there.
He still has not practiced, people.
Yeah, it's crazy.
Assuming this new role in the offense, that's great and grand,
but when you're not there in the install for the offense, what are we talking about?
So I'm avoiding Alec Pierce at his cost in drafts.
Keenan Allen, I put him at wide receiver 55.
Dropped Josh Downs to wide receiver 56.
So yes, I do have Keenan Allen above him,
because the way that I'm projecting this offense,
until Pierce is back, and we don't know when that is going to be,
I think in two wide receiver sets, you do see Keenan Allen and Josh Downs on the field.
But once Pierce is back, I think we're going to see Josh Downs go back into this slot-only,
part-time role that he was last year.
That is the downside for him, where he becomes Jaden Reed of Indy again.
Right.
The upside is they run more 11, and he's rotating the outside in the slot with Keenan Allen.
But for me, in this offense, at cost, in the passing game, give me Keenan Allen.
This is the same exact situation we talked about last year, Seth,
where Keenan Allen signs late, his ADP isn't going to catch up,
and he's still freaking good at football.
So Tyler Warren, I did bump him down a little bit because the injury, the Keenan Allen addition.
How far are we talking?
I'm still tight end four, ride or die.
That's right where I was last year.
But the caveat of that is I put Sam Laporta above him.
Now I've got to put Sam Laporta back behind him because I don't know what to do with these damn injuries.
Back to tight end four, baby.
Let's go.
Let's go.
So with how I'm approaching this, I don't know if that's consensus.
I don't know if I'm crazy.
You tell me, Seth.
Where is everybody at?
Where are you at on this situation?
Am I just too high on Keenan Allen?
But I do have stats.
I can pull to back up my Keenan Allen love.
No, I think you're right on pace, man.
Like last year, we really saw him impact Ladman Conkey's production during the early part of the season.
If I had to guess that this probably goes similar to that, where maybe the Colts start fast.
Keenan Allen is a fantasy difference maker for the first five weeks.
And we're like, oh, crap.
We should have all drafted him.
Some trades start going out.
And if you trade Keenan, I don't mind drafting Keenan Allen.
But I'm kind of trying to probably trade him after the first month or so of the season.
Yeah.
Starts hot, just like a season ago.
I'm right with you.
Tyler Warren, tight end for Josh Downs right now to me.
I'm juggling between like wide receiver 59 and 60.
Like I'm getting to a point now where it's like, am I putting Rashid Shahid above him?
Right.
Am I putting, you know, Dijon Sribling's definitely above him for me now.
So like Dante should be above him, too.
OK.
Yeah.
I'm going to throw that out there.
OK.
Yeah.
I don't know.
Oh, yeah.
No, you're probably right, actually, with all the injuries going on.
Lemon not playing in camp so far, he's he, he would have a Luther
burden-esque run out to his season that nobody wants to talk about um but just to give keenan
allen some love last year amongst 109 qualifying wide receivers he was 14th overall in route win
rate he was 22nd in slot yards per route run and as a perimeter wide receiver keenan allen
18th best in route win rate so he's just because he's old doesn't mean he's dust yeah
yeah absolutely absolutely appreciate that and jay tau great question man and i i well let's see
let's see what kind of year it is for indianapolis players i tried to avoid all of them but tyler
warren a year ago um and it bit me not having jt early on but we'll see what 2020 brings um and a
real quick reminder as well that if you guys are enjoying the stream please uh follow us consider
following us so you don't miss the next stream i'm seeing a lot of first-time streamers in here
tonight um who are joining us for the first time live so we really appreciate that yeah what clock
are you running on my man it's a it's like dark out today so it's just like one of those when i
heard you say tonight i'm like grandpa what time are you going to bed dude it's like it feels dark
it's been like dark out all day are you about to make dinner right now seth no not yeah i actually
eat dinner like traditionally late i probably won't eat dinner i got like a late show tonight
so i probably won't eat dinner until like 10 or so which i know isn't good for you i've been trying
to get better that's past papa's bedtime okay yeah uh logger logger standouts first live show
for him as well thank you so much logger great to see you here we appreciate you joining us um also
shout out to a couple of these new friends here as well uh hyzerton we also have joining us a first
time follower thank you so much for that and age si as well age si hanging out with us right here
so let's go ahead and get to the next question starting with thought to miss prime saying trade
a 2027 top there you had to go pop the energy drink getting ready it's a liquid death it's
water man i'm not even caffeine i'm already wired for sound already okay well i'm glad to hear that
and everybody that didn't believe me these strawberry liquid debts we are not sponsored
but liquid death i say hi come say hi to us um they're fantastic bro they're like crack i love it
i love it love it trade a 2027 top four pick for loveland in a one quarterback league is that
something you're willing to do derrick that's a high price i like holding on to my uh picks as
much as i can he's an elite tight end he's elite asset and dynasty um that's the price you're
probably going to have to pay i wouldn't i would counter that with a 20
first and second that's what i okay that with yeah i like that top top five pick and 27 i would
just give your first two picks in 28 to try to give loveland count send out the counter see what
happens yeah because what happens if that that pick turns into jeremiah smith you're gonna feel
real dumb even though loveland's a stud right at four overall but yes to your but to your point
if it's the 101 you're gonna feel like an idiot so yes right yeah yep uh we also got some uh
additional followers like to shout out as well haste who just followed us zaldor and dover block
uh we also have t-prec appreciate that t-prec um and awesome dev just reset for eight months
straight as tier one the queen's not gonna be happy with you dev just saying devira devira 11
as well a little number 11 actually like that um hanging out with us let's see we got frankie love
in a 16 man league that's a chop league how would you approach drafting that i just can't finish last
each week pick players that are gonna play early that's like my thing don't don't invite injuries
onto your team in this one for me derek what about you again going back to this is where you get into
the conversation of stribling versus like a jacoby myers like you need the volume and you need the
playing time like the upside yeah yep matters but you don't sacrifice the upside and stuff like that
for guys where you know they're going to be getting targets and volume and things like that you're
you're not so much yes you care about being near the top of the league but it's really more about
not being at the bottom so yes completely agreed thank you so much for that frankie james cook
for giovante williams brenton strange 2027 first and second in dynasty this 10 man super flex so
again that's james cook going for giovante williams brenton strange a 2027 first and second i i i think
i want i think i want i think i want the giovante side for sure the giovante side like dude the first
and second and 27 should get you james cook just in general all the rest of that sauce on top is
way too much now in in defense here like dre if you're getting the giovante side auto accept and
you just say thank you you just you just say thank you yep 100 agree with you there tcb checking in
saying my league is going from 10 to 8 people and from one flex to two what is the biggest thing that
should change in my draft approach half ppr auction draft derrick i would say it's just spending up for
those onesie positions that's yeah i think those become every week bro we're go ahead i'm sorry
we're in concert no ones at onesie positions but also like you can't fall too far behind like i'm
not going zero rb or i'm not going no you know robust running back where i'm getting behind it
receiver like i need a top eight to ten guy to go behind me and i'm not going to go behind me
every single position yeah i think the big thing is and the thing that i continually hammer on
these smaller leagues tcb is like sure you could pay up for the josh allens and stuff like that
for me i think the edge is picking the quarterback so your quarterback uh route to take for me if
they're available and what have you is accessing elite upside at the onesie positions but you're
not paying for top tier stuff so like drafting a colston loveland instead of a brock backer
powers drafting a jalen hurts instead of a josh allen honestly for me if i was in one of those
consolidated leagues it would be draft jalen hurts and draft malik willis that that that would be my
quarterback room rushing rushing rushing rushing love it we got bam bam branson checking in same
boys just wanted to say jalen hurts top three quarterback this year and preach baby you came
to the right spot this is a safe space jalen hurts my qb3 this year how safe is it though
because he's also saying and seth congrats on finding out that it snows year-round at psu hashtag we are
derek you've been seeing any of the headlines coming out of state college this week man i've
seen some things and some of those mug shots are very interesting i think we threw it in the
in the fp slack uh seth is there a warrant out for your arrest that i'm not aware of sir no
thankfully i i did not go to penn state i did work there but that was about you know
nickname what was the pablo pledge skavar or something
like that that's so good oh it needs to be on a t-shirt man that's so good oh it's on i've already
seen there are t-shirts running around right now oh yeah we are oh yeah we are pablo
check it out if you don't know already if you don't know you need to know
some stupid kids throwing away the rest of their lives we do not condone that behavior but just
and it's that happens every day people making stupid choices including stupid choices
here could be one from our friend eron jacobs and watson or flowers and montgomery i'm going to
take this as a redraft question but eron let me know if this is dynasty by chance but if you're
in a redraft eric uh what would you what would you roll here with jacobs and watson do you want
the packers or do you want flowers and monty i want so redraft wise i easily the flowers side
um from a dynasty perspective um from the dynasty perspective i'm still on
flowers and montgomery here yeah i i just dude i'm worried about jacobs over the last two years
like he's walking into this year with an mcl issue and last year he had injuries he was a shell of
himself down the back i think the volume is is starting to pile up like i think david montgomery
has more tread left on the tires than freaking josh jacobs at this point but but again maybe
i'm crazy i don't think that's a crazy take like if if everything was fair and jacobs we knew was
100 healthy and was 100 not getting
suspended i think this is a closer conversation that being said i don't want to be that tied to
the packers and like i do i do have right now jacobs above flowers but i know i'm like in the
minority of that and and monty i do have above watson so i'm i'm cool with that um what do you
think about this nickname here from bam bam snow paterno oh that's pretty good dude um but dude
like yeah like jacobs does everybody realize yeah sure he's going into his age 28 season
he's not a young 28 though he's got 1800 plus calories on that body it's not good man it's not
good what are your thoughts on coker and carolina derrick we have here from uh welly woo because i
mean you've kind of been on this yeah yeah you've been kind of on on this train the entire time for
jalen coker it's really now just getting popular to being drafting him but if i'm looking for a
guy and just give me a solid floor in the double digit rounds for ppr leagues like i am clicking
the button on jalen coker and i'm like i'm not going to be able to do that i'm not going to be
more and more as the offseason progresses see bam bam knows throw it in the chat you're talking
to the leader of the cokehead super train yes i and and this is not me just like toot my own horn
like there are tweets out there for me about jalen coker before he didn't go before he got
drafted as a udfa at a holy cross i love the kid that the the tape tells you all i i think coker is
really a massive value uh and i have bryce young concerns but those bryce young
concerns are not being echoed in tet mcmillan's adp but we have this grand canyon of adp
difference between tetero mcmillan and jalen coker and it's like they're clear two leaders
of the passing attack yeah you look at weeks 13 through 19 jalen coker actually outproduced tet
on basically every per route metric and even if you take the playoff game out it is much closer
than anybody wants to realize but you pay a wide receiver two price tag for tetman millen and you
pay a wide receiver five or six price tag for jalen coker so at cost give me coker all day long
and i i'm drafting him everywhere why not both though because like i feel like you want to invest
that much in a bryce young offense ted's playing the slot a lot more so yeah i do i feel like
because i feel like that just gives him the volume was kind of the issue like catchable
targets was kind of the issue i feel like you move him in get him a little closer to bryce
young that kind of makes me happier to to invest with that but maybe where do you add on tet right
now i've been wide receiver i think at 11 or 12 so i'm right there good lord i i don't have him
anywhere close i have for real yes dude i have muzzle wide receiver three uh i'm worried about
the volume
i'm worried about the volume dude like it's crazy really it's that crazy so you think that he has
the upside to be a wide receiver one in fantasy this year with tied to bryce young on an offense
they do not want to throw the ball like they don't dude like yeah but they have jonathan brooks who
they can't overload and chuba hubbard who can't stay healthy like they don't really have a choice
plus like i don't believe the defense is that elite that they're going to be you know having
positive game scripts i think is where i stand on it okay so let me
ask you uh if you still feel this way after i spit this at you so weeks 13 through 18 bryce young
surpassed 35 passing attempts once he only had two games with more than 225 passing yards and he
directed an offense that was fifth in neutral rushing rate okay yeah i mean i'll give you i'll
give you that but i i will say out of like if there's 30 targets a game i think ted's gonna
have just a monster target share dude like i think it's gonna be very concentrated i think they made
that clear with the investment in coker too you don't have to you don't have to sell me on ted i
love ted the talent i just hate the adp on him it has nothing to do with his talent this is a bryce
young in a passing volume conversation because i was yeah you you know both of us were talking
about that ad nauseum and everybody's like well ted doesn't watch film well ted's kind of slow
and i was like he's still the wide receiver one and he's still really freaking good y'all need to
just shut up

i don't know these days with jane daniels and his mom suing everybody and anybody but i digress you
know that's crazy behavior it is wild dude it is really wild like these are honestly like not good
these are the type and i don't think it's jane daniels because you hear jane daniels speaking
very like i think it's but it's like those are the toxic people you don't need in your life just
causing drama like you cut those people out of your life right like like that's the crazy thing
about like i i don't i don't want to say it but like i'm worried about jane daniels long term in
this league for doing stuff like that and then like he can't and he's a little bit of a fragile
guy who's never learned to slide properly so i don't know man i feel like that's all being
pushed by his mom i understand the respect narrative of like hit like them not using joe
burrow's number let's let's also talk about what joe burrow did at lsu real quick winning a national
title yeah having honestly quarterbacking you arguably the best college football team in the
history of college football is much different than you having a heisman year and sitting out
a bowl game so if we're going to talk about facts and stats here let's at least keep it 100 and i've
been a gd5 truther believer i love the
kid but also let's not go the cj stroud route and talk about yourself and being an elite quarterback
before you arrive to that let's let's also be honest about that there is a lot of cj stroudness
to some of this stuff oh 100 100 agreed with you there man it i mean it was a good season you got
to be at least nine and three or better usually to be in the heisman discussion but it was not
you know lsu was not making a run that year towards a nanny so they played in some kind of
garbage bowl that year which i think was like the pop-tart bowl maybe or something like that again
i there you go you said enough yeah it might have been the weights management i mean whatever it
could have been the pop-tart bowl is cool you ever see that they have the life-size pop-tart
mascots that you know that's a good time independence bowl in shreveport louisiana
and it doesn't matter it's it whatever i want to go to a bowl game never been to one uh here's
bilbo t baggins 22 saying sup fellas 12 team ppr i've
the fourth pick i'm leaning asb is that is that crazy to go monra at four overall derek
um it's a little rich but i don't i don't think it's crazy if that's your guy crazy but at the
fourth overall pick we're assuming we're assuming bajan and gibbs go so chase so you're taking
amon raw over puka that's really just what that says bill over chaser puka or jsn like yeah like
if chase is there you're taking chase but if puka is there i get the hesitance i'm still taking the
swing with puka dude like i think puka has upside to be the first wide receiver to ever crest 26 ppr
points per game like going and i went all the way back to 2013 like i don't think everybody realizes
that when he was like a full-time player so if you take out like i think it was a game he played
only half of if you take that out he averaged 24.7 ppr points per game and if you just flip
the receiving touchdowns last year like say he got the 14 and adams got the 14 and adams got the
10 he would have had 26 points per game and that's not like i'm not making up like like insane hoops
to jump through in math streets to get there like that's a like it's the simple case he could break
fantasy this year so give me that upside along with the craziness and everything and dude is
like a pigeon and he can't see glass doors you know i understand if he's gone though would you
take chase do you think yeah over over amon rostow i would take chaser puka like i'm gonna i'm gonna
and i love amon raw this year um it's one of the reasons i love the 107 or 108 because a lot of
times you're getting amon raw at that pick either amon or james cook but like at the 104 no i'm still
going with chaser puka there okay okay but not crazy if that's you know if that's your cup of
tea but i get it not not for us bilbo t uh arh here the check uh question saying what's up fellas
any changes in your rankings for the rbs at the one two turn from the 12 cook brown also uh who's
your go-to if cook goes before 12 derrick i think i'm higher than consensus but like i like o'marian
hampton
and on the turn and i'll kind of stand by that he's someone i have right there saquon barkley
is in that same range ashen genti and devon achan that's my tier that's my four in that order for me
how do you see that that group of running backs if cook is gone chase brown i'm taking chase brown
round one if it's not there over all those guys i've got chase brown i've got chase brown at rb5
i love chase brown this year um chase brown if cook is gone then i'm taking chase brown but
definitely cook is there that i'm pressing the button on him my tier for those round two running
backs i'm a little bit more worried about hampton than you are but i i will concede the upside is
definitively there uh i would lean with kenneth walker uh or derrick henry over him um okay a
still in the conversation too so any one of those guys but i do have them above um where do i have
a marion hampton right now um i've got kenneth walker above him chase brown above him i've got
hampton uh
nestled up like right next to devon achan ashen genti derrick henry so anyway you want to go in
that tier i'm fine with okay uh 14 man pick eight here from frankie love who should he target in
the first and second round you laid it out you like amon raw or james cook kind of in that
eight eight tier in the first round what about the second round second round i'm looking at
14 man i think you're looking at you're kind of getting into a little bit of the third round
there too in the second round
yeah you're yeah you're like a 20 you're like a 22 overall or so it is is where you're you're
sitting there kenneth walker chris alave devon achan hampton if they're not there uh giovante
williams i'm willing to pull up the board and genti is gone because williams is going too late
dude like i i'm sorry people are ridiculous i'm not worried about jayden blue i at all none oh
yeah i'm not i'm not pushing up that high but yeah i'm not worried about blue either
um are you are you considering i'll throw in there bowers is bowers in that range for you
bowers or mcbride hours is fine but the problem that i have in a 14 man i'm not you have to give
concessions in a 14 man yeah my concessions in a deeper league are quarterback and tight end
i'm i will build two and three people rooms in that kind of stuff it because you have to give
up somewhere so in that i'm devaluing the onesie positions and i'll play matchups and i'll go late
and late tight end yeah so it's really running back some wide receivers i'm not paying up for
tight end in a deeper league i'm just not doing it okay here's a great question from miranda checking
in saying uh i have the third pick in a super flex league and i cannot decide if i should take
josh allen or cmc or jt i mean that's a clear josh allen to me i don't want to josh allen yeah
i think it's you know i think it's just a little too cute if you go with one of those running backs
like i i imagine drake may might be off the board if this is the case too because it
might have gone the two running backs or puka um but i consider an elite i would consider an
elite wide receiver at the third pick if you really didn't want to go quarterback over cmc
and jt like i'm not len puka or jsn or jamar chase go before i would consider cmc or jt
personally it's josh allen for me you're looking at if you're pick three one of bajan robinson
jameer gibbs or josh allen's going to be there for you so take whoever's there fantasy footballer
uh just followed us here we appreciate that and miranda thank you so much for uh resubbing for
one month at the uh tier one for a two-month streak thanks so much for that miranda we really
appreciate it full sand checking in as well saying 12 man full ppr i'm having a hard time
passing a barkley or walker for genti uh i hesitate as a raiders fan that kubiak is going
to put washington in a position where he can take from genti that's a very fair um argument here
mike washington you know this is a big bruising running back who's also lightning quick had a
huge performance out there in indianapolis at the combine i think we were all kind of
disappointing with the landing spot of the raiders so how do you feel about potentially
taking barkley or walker over the former boise state bronco i will take walker over him 10 times
out of 10 i'm not taking barkley over genti i i do not have barkley ranked that high is it more
of just a conversation about the offense and the offensive line derrick or is it
more like you think saquon could be like fading in his you know peak of his powers i think saquon
saquon the archetype of back that he is is people i love how people pick and choose their narratives
like they talk about kenneth walker like his success rate and he's not a dependable player
and he's always trying to hit home runs and that's such a detriment to kenneth walker i hate to break
it to everybody but saquon barkley is the exact same type of running back but nobody talks about
it like yeah that's fair he is
he is incredibly talented but a lot of what makes saquon special is getting him into the
second level of a defense and when he's able to carve them up and break those big runs
the down-to-down stuff like he literally might go like two yards one yard minus three minus two
two yards one yard breaks a 30-yard run and then the stat line looks really nice but that's a lot
of what saquon's game is so like i just have worries about a philadelphia offensive line
that has gotten old and hurt pretty fast yeah okay that's very very fair um i understand the
question though from full sending like i am shading towards barkley right now but they're all in a
similar tier for me so i don't blame you for going one way or the other right there full send um cap
rv checking in thoughts on kyron williams for the season and thoughts on tank dell with higgins out
for the year tanks kind of been on my radar derrick is like a last round type of player i think he's
still in that conversation i think you'll get a little more interest throughout your league now
because of the higgins injury so thoughts on him and then thoughts on are you taking a shot at
kyron williams at current cost i'll drop kyron i've i've kind of always been characterized as
a kyron hater it's it's not that i hate kyron it's just i like it when running backs are more
efficient with their touches and work and all that kind of stuff and so kyron is fine where he goes
i think he's appropriately priced like you're not going to hear me like like slamming him or i'm not
like oh blake quorum blah blah blah blah blah kyron has proven year after year after year he's going
to retain the role at this point outside of injury nothing is changing that so kyron's still going to
be like a top 15 back flirting i think it could dip a little bit i don't think it will ever get
to 50 50 but is there a chance that the rams are like hey this is a 20 game season for us because
we have one goal one goal only to use you know to get to the super bowl maybe they use kyron a
little bit less and and just lean on quorum that you're literally describing exactly what happened
last year and kyron was still perfectly fine so do you think there's a world where quorum could get
to 200 touches just because their defense will also be better and they'll be running a little
bit like that's a hot take that was what we did a hot takes episode here recently and that was one
of my hot takes is that quorum goes for 200 plus carries but it was spicy maybe but the problem
with that is then you talk about to get there it's not just the positive game script for him to get
there they have to be a pace up team and the play volume too because what yeah what like
when we get into these things of oh this guy is going to get this or this hundred targets this
many carries you have to have the play volume it's not just the offensive design if they're a slow
offense or they don't hit the play play volume mark there's no there's not a mathematical like
possibility if everybody stays healthy for him to get there so it's possible i just don't think
they're going to be a pace up offense enough now with the tank dell stuff i'm hopeful for tank
dell but dude it's like we still got to see him practice in full and be able to get there and
out there on a full-time basis that still hasn't happened yet so i'm going to take the the last
round flyer on jail and all before i am tank dell right now if they're both on the board
but am i against anybody drafting tank dell especially in deeper league formats no it's fine
awesome awesome glad to hear that and here we got iran saying would you draft jadarian price
to kate up three stunk in a timeshare derrick like i was i think aggressively drafting jadarian
price but i also liked kind of the discount on
charbonnet i've brought them a little bit closer together in my rankings because of the positive
reports but i've gone from a top 20 back on price to closer to a low end rb2 i'm fine with where
he's going i wouldn't call him like a a draft target of mine but he's certainly not an avoid
either just that kind of feels appropriately priced i agree with you right now in real time
adp uh fantasy pros.com slash real adp is rb26 61st overall i think i'm right in line with that
yeah i've got jadarian price uh rb26 i okay so the the
the worry for jadarian price is he's kenneth walker of last year he gets no red zone work
he's the in between the 20s guy yeah he's got a lot of passing work he gets crushed on touchdowns
we've already seen that like unfold and that's priced into jadarian prices
adp right now but the upside is this coaching staff inherited zach charbonnet and kenneth
walker this last nfl draft they got to go out and hand pick their guy what if he's kenneth walker
use their first pick
on him i know like what if he's kenneth walker but he gets the red zone usage yeah like yeah that is
also in the range of outcomes oh yeah for sure it's a good point yeah yeah that's why i honestly
think we're kind of drafting price like a little bit closer to his floor yes yeah so i'm i'm super
i'm super cool with price i think it's a but it's a great question um iran and i don't mind the shot
on sharps either with where he's going in drafts just in case in case sharps does get all the goal
line again you know he's weakly flexed then um acadians
Great question here, Derek.
I really want to get your insight on this.
You were once a Saints fan.
You relieved your Saints fandom.
I'm back.
And you are back.
And where should I invest in New Orleans outside of Chris Olave, Travis Etienne, and Shuck, if at all?
I want to start with Etienne.
Because of the Kamara injury that he's going to be out at least a month, have you raised your rankings on Etienne or Etienne, whatever we're freaking calling him now?
And is there anywhere else that you're taking a shot in redraft?
I know you like Dell, but Jawan Johnson does seem to still be the tight end one.
So just overall opinions here on New Orleans skill players.
So let me give everybody first a run through French and Cajun pronunciations.
It's not Etienne.
It's not Etienne.
It's Etienne.
If you combine both of those.
You just said Etienne.
No, I said Etienne.
Etienne.
Etienne?
Yeah, Etienne.
Etienne.
So I'm going to school people on a little bit of Cajun here.
So that is real.
So it's not Etienne.
It's not Etienne.
If you lump them together, that's what it is.
But anyway.
It's Etienne.
So I did bump up Travis Etienne to RB18 with the news of Camara.
Because the thing about it is, dude, is this.
And I haven't gotten confirmation.
Chat, tell me if you've seen this and I'm wrong here.
Is this the same MCL issue he had from last year on the same knee?
If that is the case, he's going to be out longer than a freaking month.
Like a month is conservative.
So I have bumped Travis Etienne up to RB18.
And.
That DeAndre Swift, David Montgomery, Kyron Williams type of tier above Jeremiah Love,
Josh Jacobs, Basial Tootin, that whole other split backfield.
We don't know what to do with these guys.
I think he's going to be the workhorse.
And I think that with Camara out, Kendri Miller can't stay healthy.
Devin Neal.
I liked him as a prospect, but he really was a nothing burger for them.
I'm not worried about anybody taking work away from him.
He can be inefficient all he wants to be.
And I still think he's going to be a strong RB2 now.
With Camara dealing with this, because dude, he just, he's not a young running back.
He's already had knee issues just going back to last year.
If this persists, like Camara might miss the whole season or never be a hundred percent.
So you could be giving, getting Travis Etienne at his floor and he could just go back to
being what he was with the Jaguars and being like a borderline RB1 and you're investing
in what I project to be a really freaking good offense.
Great point.
With the Jordan Tyson.
I bumped Chris Alave up to wide receiver seven.
Everybody was like, Oh my gosh, but to everybody, do you not realize that Chris Alave was the
wide receiver seven and fantasy points per game last year?
So this ranking scene, there's a health risk though, right?
There's a health risk.
There's a health risk habit.
Okay.
To that point though, have we not learned in the last two weeks of training camp?
There's a health risk for everybody playing the sport of football.
We like to pick and choose that narrative when it suits us to knock down a player, but
the reality is any of these guys can get hurt on any play, any practice, any time that reality
is there.
Chris Alave also last year was healthy.
I'm not worried about it.
Right?
So I'm going to draft Chris Alave with confidence.
I did bump up a Juwan Johnson with the Jordan Tyson stuff.
Juwan Johnson is my tight end 14.
Um,
I, I, but again, if you're going to tell me at his cost, I think he is a wonderful bet
and somebody, the perfect tight end strategy.
If you're waiting on tight end draft, Juwan Johnson or Dallas Goddard and George Kittle
late pick one of those other guys and George Kittle, you're getting a mix of floor, probably
low in tight in one production and upside with those late selections.
And I saw Katie and throw this in the chat.
I'm going to add this on to Bryce Lance is the wide receiver to assuming we do not get
Jordan Tyson this year.
And I think that that is a decent assumption to make, because at this point, this is not
a short term thing.
Dude was hurt in the pre-draft process.
He was hurt in rookie camp.
He got hurt again in training camp.
Yeah, this is FedEx like shove Jordan Tyson into a giant FedEx box box and send him to
freaking see the doctor that, that consulted with Christian Watson and Marshawn Lloyd,
because this is all compensatory issue stuff over years and years and years of knee injuries,
hamstring injuries and stuff like that.
I don't know if we see the saints are not going to be aggressive with Jordan Tyson.
If they have the type of season I think they can have this year, they are going to be slow
with ramping up Jordan Tyson, because if they're winning games, they're looking at
Jordan.
Tyson could be the stretch run bump of basically us trading for a wide receiver, but we don't
have to make a trade down the back half of the season.
So right now I think it is very telling that Bryce Lance got put in bubble wrap.
For pre-season week one with all of the rest of the starters and yes, people came out and
they said, oh, he was banged up in a scrimmage.
If you want to bubble wrap a rookie, but you don't want to everybody to know you bubble
wrap the rookie.
So he doesn't go out there, but he's being looked at as a clear starter.
What are you going to say to the media?
What are you going to say?
Because he didn't miss any practice time this week.
He was immediately right back out there and routing dudes up and looking awesome.
Again, this is my PSA for everybody to draft Bryce Lance with the last week.
Last pick of your drafts.
Like if it's Bryce Lance and tank Dale are on the board, I'm taking Bryce Lance 10 times
out of 10.
Okay.
All right.
You drafting Jordan Tyson at all or no, no, I'm avoiding him like the plague.
No.
Okay.
Sounds good.
We're going to get, we're going to get some rapid fire action, but before we do a quick
reminder to join our fantasy pros at discord community.

Should I take the quarterback?
I mean, I kind of like Christian Watson out of all those players personally,
but I guess it just depends what your team looks like before you get there.
Like if you're loaded at wide receiver and someone really, like,
I mean, if Josh Allen or something falls in,
which they probably won't to this range, then I would consider.
But aside from that, like I do like punting quarterback for the most part.
I'll take wide receiver.
I like all three of those wide receivers,
and I love that everybody's now coming around to DJ Moore
after calling him wash all offseason after one preseason game.
As the world turns, my friend, as the world turns,
the big dance, Ladd, Waddle, or Jamo, 10-team half PPR.
I like all these three wide receivers.
Waddle's the highest.
Okay.
Waddle not close.
I have Waddle as a wide receiver, one of my rankings.
Woo-hoo.
All right.
All right.
I mean, I'm high on him.
I think I have him at, like, 16 right now.
And I also really like Jamo this year.
He might be my all-in pick.
I'm all the way bought in.
But that being said, you know,
where you can get them, I would take Waddle first.
With CMC replaying 2024, which running back is his handcuff, Derek?
Who the hell knows?
Jordan James is back after popping a rib.
I think you're looking at between Jordan James and Kalen Black.
Talent-wise, the guy that I would –
I'm not in on Jordan James at all.
I would take Kalen Black,
or I would just not even touch that backfield behind CMC.
Okay.
Fair enough.
Yeah, I don't see it being, like, a strong arm one person.
I see it being more of a committee of CMC.
I see it where it would go down.
What do you guys think of Malik Washington and Jalen Naylor this year?
Like, they're not on my draft board, personally.
Like, you know me.
I'm taking –
There's better players.
I'm taking Besh if I'm taking anyone out of that offense.
I'm not even drafting him.
Just give me the shot on Caleb Douglas being something over Malik.
I know –
I'll take Bryce Lance over both those guys.
I'll take Keenan Allen.
I'll take other guys.
Like, I just think we've seen a longer sample size of both of those guys
being okay NFL players but not high-end target earners.
I'm not –
Right.
So, Naylor, if you've got to pick between one of them,
but I really don't want to draft either one.
See, I would almost go the –
I almost think, like, Malik's at least going to give you
maybe some PPR floor every week.
See, and I think they're talented rookies.
Like, once –
If Kevin Coleman gets on the field, he's going to shove Malik into nothingness.
Caleb Douglas, you can say the same thing.
Chris Bell, who's already practicing, he can say the same thing.
So, I think Malik Washington's a placeholder.
Okay.
Here we got James saying,
Thoughts on my draft in the next –
Message, he's in a one quarterback, two wide receiver, two running back,
two flex, and one kicker league, and, of course, a tight end as well.
Looking for your team –
Oh, there we go.
Okay.
Here we go.
We got Allen, Gibbs, ETN, Jalen Warren, JCM, Rashad White, Bowers, Pitts,
Luther Burden, Roma Dunzey, McLaurin, Coker, Abuka, Godwin, T-Law, Dicker.
Yeah.
I like it.
I'm with it.
This is a good team.
Is it super flex?
Yeah, this is pretty nice, actually.
Is it super flex, Metal James?
Like, why'd you take T-Law after you drafted Josh Allen?
Or was that a keeper or something?
Like, I wouldn't have taken a second quarterback if I had Josh Allen, but, you know, it depends.
Yeah, that is –
That's one QB.
That is a little –
Okay.
I mean, the team is still freaking awesome, man.
So, kudos.
Yeah.
I know Metal James plays in a lot of eight-team leagues.
Let us know if that's one of those eight teams.
He says one QB, just wanted a backup.
I get it.
I mean –
Yeah.
But I think where you're drafting Josh Allen –
Josh Allen, you draft like you're right.
You don't draft for an injury.
Yeah.
I mean, like, you draft like he's going to stay healthy because that's the cost you're
paying in a draft.
If he gets hurt, you're screwed anyway.
Oh, it's an eight-teamer.
Got it.
Got it.
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
That's what I thought it might be.
I know James is playing a lot of eight-teamers.
Then that's fine.
Yes, I get it.
I'm more on taking a high-end backup there.
Again, winning for the onesie positions.
Slatatooey was his next comment saying –
Ratatooey's a great move, by the way.
Yeah, he's good.
Any tips for a Dynasty startup draft, Derek?
What do you have here for Slat?
For me, it's like I'm not afraid to trade and move around the board.
And, like, I like the productive struggle personally the best.
I want to target young guys.
I want the old heads.
So, if Slat's asking us for tips, I'm guessing you're more new to Dynasty.
So, a lot of things – like, you need to be using the Dynasty trade value chart and stuff.
The hardest part about anybody getting into Dynasty new is trading during a draft because –
if you're not familiar with it, you can get railroaded really quickly and make some really bad trades.
I'd say the most usual trade structure in a Dynasty startup is –
I'll just use this, like, tiered kind of stuff.
And, Seth, you already know where I'm going.
Like, just say you gave up your first-round pick and your fourth-round pick,
and you get a second-round pick and a third-round pick back.
Yeah.
A lot of people will use that type of, like, trading strategy and, like, just say, like, just juxtapose that with, like –
just to give examples.
Like, I give up my fifth and eighth-round pick, and I get your sixth and seventh-round pick or something like that.
Like, so, for Dynasty startups and, you know, I would say be very mindful of where you sit with players.
Like, getting guys that are at the end of a tier.
If you're more hesitant about trading up, trading back in the early parts, do it in the later parts in the middle rounds
when it's more cost-prohibited to do it, where it's easier to do that as well.
Go up and get a guy that's the last of a tier.
But the other thing I'll say, Slad, is head to Discord.
Hit me up in DMs.
We can have a much longer conversation in that forum that we can have here.
Also, check out the Fantasy Pros Dynasty YouTube channel as well right now.
We just did a startup mock draft a couple weeks ago on the channel, so you can check that out, Sladatui.
And then also, keep in mind, I think we just did rankings episodes maybe within the last five to six weeks.
So, some things have changed, but I would certainly –
We can check those episodes out as well.
That's a great resource that Pat and Boggs and the boys are taking care of over there.
Lambreezy, in a standard league, full PPR with one quarterback, two running back, two wide receiver, one flex, one tight end, defense, and kicker.
Is it better to prioritize the onesie position or get depth at running back and wide receiver and focus later?
This is going to depend.
I'm just going to give a general rule for this, which we've talked about.
Yes, if you're in an 8 or 10.
If you're in an 8 or 10, you're going to want to prioritize those onesies.
If you're 12 or 14, the bigger the league, the less you prioritize it.
That's how we would say that, Lambreezy.
Exactly.
Couldn't say it better myself, Seth.
Here we go.
We got Hayes checking in saying,
Is it crazy to draft Josh Allen and James Cook in the first two rounds at the ninth spot too early for Josh or having quarterback running back from the same team?
I just can't take a quarterback in round two.
I can't endorse you taking Josh Allen that early.
Taking a running back and a quarterback from the same team.
Same team is totally fine.
I think the best at-cost bet you could probably make with that right now is Marion Hampton and Justin Herbert or Devon A. Chan and Malik Willis.
But no, I'm not drafting Josh Allen that damn early.
No way.
No way.
Can't do it.
Dynasty question for a rebuilding team.
Would you trade R.J. Harvey for Jordan Tyson?
Is that fair or do I need to get more to get Tyson?
Fair is what you get accepted.
That's the rule in Dynasty.
Fair is what gets accepted.
Yeah, I would.
I don't think that's going to be. If you can get that accepted, especially. And that's not crazy.
It depends on if somebody's like, okay, fine, I give up.
I'm out on Tyson.
If you can get that accepted, do it and do it for Tyson.
Totally fine with that.
Yeah, I just got three first round picks in a rookie draft for someone to move up four spots to take Jordan Tyson before that injury.
So, yeah, everything's fair.
But I think you're going to probably need to add more to R.J. Harvey to get Tyson.
Are you guys in on Panthers R.B. Jonathan Brooks?
I'm R.B. 27.
I'm R.B. 26 right now, Derek.
R.B. 27, baby.
Okay.
Sixth round pick.
Let's go.
Yes.
I've been in on Jonathan Brooks since freaking January, people.
Yes, I'm still in.
Yes.
Do you want to know, like, the type of season I think we're going to get out of him?
Please.
Do you remember Chris. Do you know Chris Ivory with the Jets?
Do you remember that?
Uh-huh.
It's not going to be sexy, but I think you could get, you know, somewhere between 10 and 13 PPR points a week with Jonathan Brooks.
Like, I don't think. I think he's going to be out there.
I think he's, you know, not going to. To be a 1,000-yard rush or anything, but I think he could have 800, 900 yards, and I think he could have six to seven touchdowns and have some passing game involvement.
Where are you at right now on Brooks, D-Bro?
What if he has a season that is akin to Quinshawn Judkins, but he's actually really freaking good at football?
I mean, then be crazy.
Then it's a league winner.
And he's in a better offense.
It's a league winner then.
Yeah.
RB3 price tag.
He's going to be a strong RB2.
I do not care about Trevor Hubbard.
I do not care.
I do not care.
Okay.
So you see the ceiling maybe a little bit higher than I do, but I think it's a great floor play either way.
He could be a top 15 running back this year.
When we flip over the cards and we're in the middle of the season, I think Jonathan Brooks could be top 15.
Loggers and touts checking in.
Or stouts, actually.
Loggers and stouts.
I thought you were going to talk about touts, but I'm talking about stouts.
I'm not a stout or really a logger guy personally, but that's just me.
Just never been.
I like light beer, but. You and your Bush Apples.
Hey, man.
Pretty good.
Pretty good.
Which side do you like more?
A.J. Brown and a mid to early 27 first or Odunze, Ladd, and Concepcion?
So this is a compete versus a rebuild conversation.
Yeah.
I think it's fair either way.
I think it's fair.
I'm probably taking. Again, this depends on your context of your team.
If I'm competing for a championship, give me the A.J. Brown part.
If I am middle of the road or punting it down the road,
And I'm taking the dunes a side.
Okay.
Keeper League here for Bach asking,
he's got a Keeper League.
We need to keep two players for $10 more than last year.
I put the sleeper projections next to them
for my specific leagues.
$250 budget, 12-man full PBR.
Options are Bucky Irving, $21.
You can do B. John Robinson, $85.
Devonta Smith, $32.
Who should I keep?
B. John and Smith.
Let's just not overcomplicate this.
Yep.
Agreed.
Hayes.
Oh, we already got to Hayes' question.
Yep, Hayes is crazy.
We know this.
A little spammy action.
Okay, we've gotten to a couple of these.
Come on down.
Trey Peck asking,
two quarterback league, first round,
Josh and Lamar, second round,
second round, a running back
or two quarterbacks, round one and two.
If it's straight two quarterbacks,
so a little bit different than Superflex 2.
I would take Josh
and a running back.
This also depends how you're,
because, okay, so the problem with stuff like this
is in 2QB or Superflex,
every room is totally different.
That's why Superflex rankings do not matter, honestly.
You need to, so my approach with this,
with two quarterback or Superflex leagues,
understand who do you like as far as quarterbacks,
where they're going in drafts,
and being open, depending on how the draft goes,
to building a variety of different quarterback rooms.
Like, are you in on late quarterback?
So are you comfortable going with, like,
a Tyler Shuck, Malik Willis, Jared Goff,
3QB type of room?
Are you more like,
I got to get one, like, awesome quarterback
and then punt QB2?
This is a philosophical question,
but also understanding that, like,
none of those drafts,
no two rooms are the same
when we're talking about 2QB.
So, like, I think it's Josh
and then figure out QB2,
but again, it depends on your room, dude.
Yeah, it certainly does.
Derek, great stuff today, man.
Appreciate all your hard work you're doing

Summary:
FAQs
Keenan Allen is ranked above Josh Downs, who may return to a part-time slot role. Alec Pierce is a player to avoid at his cost due to injury and uncertainty in his role.
Prioritize players who will play early and avoid injury risks. Focus on volume and playing time over upside to ensure you don't finish last each week.
That's a high price. Consider countering with a 2027 first and second-round pick instead to acquire him without giving up a top-four pick.
Jalen Coker is a great value at his ADP, while Tetairoa McMillan is ranked lower due to concerns about Bryce Young and passing volume. Coker is the better pick at cost.
Josh Allen is the clear choice over running backs like CMC or JT. If you prefer a non-quarterback, consider an elite wide receiver like Puka Nacua or Ja'Marr Chase.
Kenneth Walker is preferred over Jeanty, but Saquon Barkley is not ranked as high due to concerns about the Eagles' offensive line and his inconsistency. Walker is the safer pick.
