Faith That Advances

I want to say good morning to our family in the United Kingdom. Thank you all, I see you, I praise God for you, those of you that are in Paris, France that have been listening in so faithfully. I see you, I see your comments, I read your emails, and I want you to know that we are praying with you and we are praying for you. We have been in a series, you've been in a series and the series that we have been on is the life of the spirit. We've been talking about the life of the spirit. And this, this must has been such age, tremendous must for us. We've been talking about, well last month and now over into this month we're still talking about the food of the spirit faith. And I think I just have one more lesson. This is our final lesson on the lesson of faith. But these lessons have been so rich, they've been, so I opening, they've been so awakening, and God has just given us so much revelation. And so we want to talk about advancing faith this month today. I want to talk to you very quickly about advancing faith. Our God and heaven, we love you. And we thank you, Lord. We thank you for life, for health and for strength. Thank you for last night's line down. And for this morning's rising. Thank you for giving us a heart and a mind to seek your face. Now that we are here, we exit. You will speak to us. Open up our spirits and our ears and we may hear and receive you. I pray Father in Jesus' name that you would give us the words to say. Give us revelation, clarity of thought and precision of speech. In Jesus' name, amen and amen. I want to read a couple of scriptures to you so that you can understand and see where we're going. For those of you that like to take notes, you can do so. We do have the post-up on social media. For those of you that actually those posts have been up. But I was trying to figure out why they weren't showing. And I realized that I had scheduled those posts. But when I scheduled them, I was in a different time zone. And so they were posting at the time zone that I scheduled them in. And so that's why they've not been showing up. I can't go on. And then two hours later, they would be showing up. And I said, "Oh my goodness, that's because I was in a different time zone." So the post-up, I got all that. That's the way that for those of you that kind of like to communicate while we're teaching comments, while we're teaching. And it also lets me see who's on and who's with us. As a matter of fact, those of you that are alive with us this morning, go ahead and jump on Facebook if you can. And go ahead and drop your name down there and just say, "Hey, say good morning to Overseer Morrison. I'm praying with you this morning that way I know that you're here in Joshua 167. Be strong and a good courage for unto this people, shout out, "Divide for an inheritance to man." Which I swear unto their fathers to give them. Only be thou strong and very courageous that thou mere observed to do according to all the law. Turn not from it to the right hand or to the left that thou may as prosper with us forever thou go with. I wonder where too much Scripture is. Hebrews 11, 33, and 34. Hebrews 11, 33, through 34. Who through faith subdued kingdoms, brought righteousness, obtained promises, stopped the mouths of lion, quench the violence of fire, excite the edge of the sword out of weakness where made strong. And my last Scripture is going to be out of Philippians 3, 13, through 14. Philippians 3, 13, through 14. Brethren, I count not myself to have apprehended, but this one thing I do for giving those things a child behind and pressing forth unto those things. Which I before, I pressed toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus. We're talking about advancing faith, advancing faith. Faith that advances faith that advances. That's what I want to talk about this morning. So we've been, I mean, let's just do a quick recap. We've talked about convicting faith, faith as conviction. We've talked about faith and the pressure, what to do when your faith is under pressure. We've talked about faith being faithfulness. What that looks like, that actually probably may have been my favorite lesson. And to remember now, those of you that are new, those of you that have missed any of these lessons, you can go on the Spotify podcast. You can go on the Apple podcast right on your phone and pull up one's "Vion Traveils." All of these lessons are there for you to listen to. Again, we've talked about faith, faith endures, enduring faith. We've talked about faith in action. We've talked about faith that speaks. I love that. The Lord said that our faith is talking. And then our last lesson was resting faith, resting faith. How to have faith that rests. So this morning we're going to go one step further because we can't stop with resting faith. We can't stop with faith that rests because faith doesn't end with resting. Right? Your faith must advance. Your faith must move. Now, here's the difference. When you're rested, right? When you're rested in your faith. Rest settles you. But when you're advancing in life, when you're advancing in the things of God, when you're advancing, the Bible tells us that advancement moves you. At Vance Rest settles you. But at Vance, it moves you. So in our text this morning in the book of Joshua, what's happening is that Joshua is standing on the brink of a promise. He's literally standing on the edge of a promise. And so God had already made his promise to him. He had already spoken to you. And the land that he was going to possess, the land that he was going to conquer, that land had already been promised to him. So there are some words that have already been spoken of your life. There are some words that have been prophetically spoken of your life. There are some words, some things that you know that God has promised you. There are territories that God has promised you. There's blessings that God has promised you. There are promises that God has promised you. But what you have to understand and what our lesson is pointing out to us this morning is that in order for us to possess those things, in order for us to possess the land, in order for us to possess the promise. Possession requires movement. You can't stay still and wonder why nothing is moving. You can have the keys to the car. You can put gas in the car. You can wash the car. You understand what I'm saying? But if you get in that car and sit in that car and don't move, you're not you're not going anywhere. Right? So this is about advancing faith. Faith requires movement. So this is what God tells him and this is what I want to say to you this morning. God says to Joshua, he said, "Be strong and of good courage." Hallelujah. Be strong and of good courage. Why would he tell him that? He, why would he tell him that? Because God knew in order for him to, to, to, to go forward in order for him to possess the land that advancement required courage. And I want to say this to some of you this morning that it's not that you've not heard God. It's not that you're not clear about what you're supposed to be doing. Some of us are living in fear, fear of what's next, fear of the unknown, fear of being inadequate, fear of, of not trusting yourself. But in order for you to move from where you are, to where you need to be, is going to require courage. So God tells Joshua, be strong and of good courage. There's going to be times when God has already settled something in your spirit. But it's settled in your spirit. But now it's time for you to move on what God has said. I heard God. I know what God said. I know God told me to do this. But you've been going around this mountain. Let me say it to you like children of Israel. You've been around this mountain long enough. You've been around. I don't know who that word is for this morning. But you've been around this mountain long enough. If that word is for you, say that word is for me. You've been going around it long enough. You've been writing it in your journal long enough. You've been talking about it long enough. You've been planning it and preparing it long enough. Come on. Somebody say this with me. It's time to move. It's time to move. So we had talked about, you know, resting faith or faith that rest. And we know that we talked about, that means that you're no longer striving. You're not striving for anything. That's not what we're talking about. Faith that advances refuses to stay where it is. When you have faith that says, this is what God said. It's inherent in that faith. It's action. Come on. It's action. It says, I cannot stay here any longer. I got to move. Now that doesn't mean that you move without wisdom. It doesn't mean that you move without a plan. It doesn't mean that you move without clarity and understanding. You understand that. So you have to have a plan. You have to know what you're going to do, but you still have to move. It moves with clarity. This is what I'm trying to get you to understand. And so the book of Hebrews, Hebrews tells us, our scripture that we just read in Hebrews, it tells us that through faith, they subdued kingdoms. They obtained promises and the Bible says that they were made strong. I want everybody to write this down. Faith is not passive. Listen to this scripture. This is what faith looks like. Subduing kingdoms. What does subduing means to take, to take, to take over? It obtains. It makes strong. So when you have God's faith, it's not passive. Faith pushes forward into whatever God has said about your life. Whatever God has said about your family, find you a promise in the word of God that applies to you and wrap your faith around that word. Wrap your faith around that word for your children. Wrap your faith around that word for your marriage. Wrap your faith around that word for your future. You understand that. Now, let me, let me make this clear. There are seasons in our lives because we don't want to hear it is. We don't want to get ahead of God. But we don't want to be behind God either. We want to walk with God. Hallelujah. We want to be where God is. But there are seasons in your life where waiting is essential. Waiting is necessary. There's sometimes you've got to wait on the Lord's. Come on. It doesn't mean that you're not moving in faith, but you are in a season of waiting. And there are some seasons where you have to rest. You've got to know when this is your season to rest. But then there is, but there comes a time. Hear me when I say this. There comes a time when your season of hesitation has to come to an end. Somebody say, help me. Holy Ghost. See, some of you have been paralyzed in your waiting season. And now it's time for you to move, but you're not moving because now you've become paralyzed. Do you understand what I mean when I say that? Your season of hesitating once God has freed you once you have learned the lesson. Once you have past sixth grade, you don't stay in sixth grade for the next three years. It's something I mean something is wrong. Something is dysfunctional. Your season of hesitation must come to an end. And I decree and I declare over your life that your season of hesitation has ended. Somebody shout, Hallelujah. Somebody say that my season of hesitation has ended. My season of fear has ended. Your faith, your faith, Hallelujah. Real faith, the faith of God will know, will recognize, will identify when it's time for you to move again. Somebody shout, it's time for me to move again. Come on, go back, pick up that business idea. Come on, go back, finish that class. Come on, go back, finish that course. Come on, come on, come on, go back, finish that nonprofit. Start that, that, that, that community development corporation. Come on, let's get moved and come on, let's start the church. Come on, let's start the building. Come on, let's move to the city where you're supposed to be. Come on, let's, let's tap into the ministry where you serve. Come on, let's do it. Come on, come on, come on. This is time. It's time to move. Somebody shout, it's time to move. Come on Zion, you've been sitting there long enough. You've been, you've been waiting long enough. Come on, you've got enough rest. Come on, come on, it's time for you to move again. Because this is a thing. A lot of us have learned how to believe. And a lot of us have learned. We know how to endure because we are survivors. You understand that? We know how to rest. But what we have not learned, what many of us have not learned. And what the lesson is leaning us towards this morning, we have not learned how to move forward. We have not learned how to step forward. Right now, let's just take 60 seconds and pray in the Holy Ghost. Come on, come on. Come on, pray, pray, pray, pray, pray, pray past this season of hesitation. Come on, come on, pray. Come on, speak in tongues. Wake up Zion. Come on, wake up. Come on, pray, pray, pray. You've got to move past this place of hesitant, hesitant seas. You've got to move past this place of paranoia. Come on. You've got to move past this place of fear. Come on, pray. Come on, come on. I'm stepping forward. Come on. I'm moving on. Hallelujah. Come on. I hear the Lord say, move on from here. Come on. You've got to move on from here. Come on. Be strong. Hallelujah. And of good courage. Come on. Come on. Be only be that strong. Hallelujah. Hallelujah. Hallelujah. Let me say this to you. Sometimes when we have seasons of rest, And rest is important. Resting is important. But sometimes when we've had a long season of rest, we end up getting comfortable. You see what I'm saying? We get comfortable being there. We get comfortable being quiet. We get comfortable not making a lot of noise. We get comfortable being behind the scenes. We get comfortable. Come on. I'm just standing out the way. No, you just comfortable over there. Come on. You've been resting enough. Come on. Come on. You healed now. I just need -- I'm just letting God heal me. All right. Well, you healed now. Come on. Come on. You're here this morning. Come on. You can't keep blaming other people. You can't keep talking about what happened to you 10 years ago. You can't keep -- come on. You got the heal. You got the heal from that. Come on. You can't keep talking about you don't trust pastors. And you don't go to church because you don't trust pastors. And you had a bad experience. All right. Come on. But what did God do to you? Come on. I'm talking to you this morning. We cannot stay in our comfort zone. The goal for us is not to be comfortable. The goal is to fulfill the purpose of God over our lives. The purpose of the goal is to receive the promise that God has. This is where our text comes from. What does Paul say? Paul says, "I press." Come on. Somebody shot our press. Come on. What did Paul say? He said, "I press." That -- that -- that -- that we -- we -- we -- we talked about being intentional. Brothers and sisters, sisters and brothers. I want you to be intentional with your faith. Be intentional with what you say. Be intentional with your language. He said, "I press." That's a declaration. Not I'm trying to. Not I hope I will. Not if God helps me to -- no, I'm making the decision to press. Now, the thing about pressing is this. Pressing requires effort. You can't press and stay still at the same time. Come on. You can't -- now, if you -- if you can't press and stay still. Pressing -- if you go on press, you got to stay focused. Come on. How many of you know what it means to bench press? Come on. You got to be focused. You got to be focused when you -- when you press. Pressing -- if you want to press, that means that you will have to leave -- what's familiar. You're going to have to leave those things that's behind. I press toward the mark. It's not comfortable. I don't know what lies ahead. I don't know what this next season of my life -- God, some of you -- and I feel this so strongly that you know that God is requiring another version of yourself. God is requiring another version of yourself. God is calling you to another dimension of yourself. And it feels unfamiliar to you. But pressing requires you to leave behind what is familiar. And stepping to the unfamiliar. That's why we need faith. Because I don't know what's -- I don't know. I don't see it. This is not being -- we don't -- we're not pressing -- we're not being led by anxiety. This isn't an ain't hallelujah. There's no anxious faith. Come on. This is -- this is clarity. This is about clarity. You understand that. And what does clarity say? Clarity says, "God said it. I've rested in him. And now I'm going to move." That's what clarity says. We are responding to what God has said. When we advance and say, "It doesn't wait for perfect conditions." Some of you, your perfectionism is a burden to you. Your perfectionism is a hindrance to you. Because you need everything to be perfect. Listen, this is why we have faith. Faith can't wait on perfect conditions. Faith says that as I move, God will make the crooked path straight. Come on. This is what faith says. It moves with courage. It doesn't -- this doesn't mean that we don't acknowledge that we have fear. Right? It just means that we refuse to be led by fear. Come on, say that with me. I refuse to be led by fear. I'm not saying that I'm never going to be afraid, but I'm not going to let my fear stop me. I'm going to let my faith move me. There's some doors, brothers and sisters, that are not going to open until you move. There's some doors that are not going to open until you start stepping. Come on, somebody say, get the stepping. Come on, get the stepping. There's some instructions that are not going to become clear unto us until we begin to move. We've got to move. There's some things that we're never going to see the manifestation of. Until we move forward, we've got to move in the direction. Somebody say this, I'm moving in the direction of my promise. Come on, say it. I'm moving in the direction of my promise. This kind of faith is not looking back. Stop looking back. You're going to turn into a little salt. Come on, this is not about looking back. It's not about dwelling on. I tried this before and it didn't work. Well, you're in a sit. Listen to me. You're in a different season now. Why is it going to work? It's going to work because you're in a different season. You're in a different place. You're in a different posture. I'm not going to keep replaying my failures. Come on, who was the Lord talking to this morning? It didn't work because you were in a different season. You didn't know then what you know now. You weren't as matured then as you are mature now. So letting your past failures, your past mistakes. Quit letting them paralyze you. Come on, this faith is reaching on. It's reaching forward. I'm pressing on the upward way. New heights I'm gaining every day. Still playing as I'm onward bound. Lord, plant my feet on higher ground. Lord, lift me up and let me stand by faith on the heavens. Table and no higher plane that I have found. Lord, plant my feet. Where on higher ground? Come on. What ahead of you requires your participation. Come on, there was something you got to participate in this thing. Thank you, Lord. That word right there was to me. Thank you to what I heard you. You got to participate in it. There are some things that's not. Listen, God has already done his part. Let's open anybody this morning. Is this open anybody this morning? Now it's time for you to move. He's done his part. Now you'll stay this time. It's time to move. Listen, we're not moving with emotion. This is not about emotionalism. We're not going to be reckless. You know, you going out here trying to start a church. Sit down. Sit down. Just it's not time for that. Now you being reckless. You know, you're not going to be reckless. are rotting in your disobedience because you refuse to move forward. You refuse to start. You refuse to try again. You refuse to pick it back up again. You refuse to forgive. Ayala Bahaya. Father this morning. We thank you. We thank you Lord. For this lesson, we thank you Lord for this words. We thank you Lord for your love and for your grace and for your spirit. Father this morning, I thank you. Thank you for forgiving us. Thank you for the blood of Jesus. Thank you for the blood that cleanses us, that purifies us. Lord this morning, thank you. Thank you Lord for not leaving us in our sins. But thank you Father for speaking a word to us. This word of life. This word of healing, this word of deliverance. We thank you for what is being formed in us. We thank you this morning for spiritual formation. Father, I pray this morning as you are building in us the spirit of conviction. By the I pray God that you were strengthen us. I pray God that you were strengthen every man and woman under the staff, under the sound of my voice. Establish us this morning. Hallelujah. Somebody said Lord established me. Hallelujah. Father, I pray now in the name of Jesus that you would stir it up Lord. Stir us up. Father, stir us up. Move. We don't want to be complacent. We don't want to stay here. We don't want to stay in a place Lord that you've commanded us to move from father. We want to move in the direction of our promise. We want to move in the direction of the word spoken over our lives. So father, this morning in the name of Jesus, oh God, I pray for every man and woman under the sound of my voice. Where hesitation father has arrested on them. Where hesitation has settled in them father. This morning in the name of Jesus, I pray that you will remove father every spirit of hesitation. I pray God, but I come against the spirit of fear. Oh God, we're fear has shown up and tried to slow us down. Father, this morning in the name of Jesus, I pray that you would break it now. I break the spirit of fear in the name of Jesus off of the people of God. Father, I pray Lord for those that have become comfortable in their season of resting. For those that have become comfortable in this season of waiting. Father, I pray for a divine shift. Father, I pray this morning that you would shift us. Give us courage this morning as you get to Joshua. Oh God, as you spoke to Joshua, I pray that you would strengthen us. Hallelujah. Shrumpen us to move in the direction of the promise. Shrumpen us to move forward. Oh God, in the direction of what you have Osyche. I'm on so help us to move in the direction of the world has been spoken over our lives in the name of Jesus. Let clarity come. I pray, oh God, for those that are unsure those that are uncertain. I pray in the name of Jesus that you would show us. Oh God, the areas of our lives that requires our participation. I've shown us the areas of our lives that requires our movement. Show us the areas of our lives that requires our actions. Show us the areas of our lives where we must move forward in the name of Jesus. Oh, Father, we refuse to remain where we are in places that you've already spoken and told us to move. We asked this morning in the name of Jesus that you were forgive us. Oh God. Hallelujah. Forgive us of our disobedience. Hallelujah. Forgive us O Shakhtaya for our spirits of rebellion. I hear the Lord say not only have we been disobedient, but we have been rebellious because we know what he says, but we refuse to move. So that's not only being disobedient. That is rebellion. And we know that rebellion is as a sin of witchcraft. So Father this morning in the name of Jesus. We ask God that you were forgive us this morning for our sins of rebellion. Yes. Mokot. Nakataya. Bahaya. I can tell that we declared this morning that our faith is advancing us. Father, we declared this morning that we have a dancing. They died. Pray Lord in the name of Jesus for every man and woman under the sound of my voice. I pray God that you will give us strength. Hallelujah. For those that's been weary strength for those that have been weak. Father, I pray this morning for those God who are dealing with the spirit of fear. Pray God for bonus Lord in the name of Jesus. Oh father, for those that have been uncertain Lord. I pray now in the name of Jesus for clarity and for certainty and for bonus. I pray for direction. Those that are oh Shakhtaya. Nina. No. Those that are unsure of this morning. I pray God that every believer has every man and woman this morning that is on this phone line. That is listening to this prayer that will listen to this prayer. I pray now in the name of Jesus. Oh God that they were stepping to what you have spoken in the name of Jesus. Father, we declared this morning that we will not shrink back. We declared this morning that we will not delay. We declared this morning that we will not remain stagnant. But we declared this morning we come into agreement with Paul. And we declared that we press hallelujah. We pressed toward the mark in the name of Jesus and oh father. I pray this morning that has removed God that you go before us. Hallelujah. We don't want to go if you don't go with us. We don't want to move if you don't move with us. So we asked father this morning in the name of Jesus that she would move, move, move open doors this morning. I pray a prayer and a blessing over every man and woman under the sound of my voice. I pray God that you would open doors. I pray God that you would make ways. I pray God that you would make room. Lord in the name of Jesus. Oh God. I pray God that you would bring us to our season of the Hobbit. Hallelujah. Where you had made room for us. I hear the Lord say that he has made room for you. But you've got to move. Oh God. That you would establish us established. Would you have declared it? I pray God that you would establish us established. Would you have declared over our lives in the name of Jesus. Oh father. We want you to know that we trust you this morning. Hallelujah. We trust you. We trust you. We trust you. We trust you. We trust you. We trust you. And father, we make a declaration that we're moving. Hallelujah. We're moving. We're moving in faith. We're moving onward and upward. Hallelujah. Where is Shakakaya? We're moving onward and upward in the name of Jesus. Oh father. Thank you. Midna Lamahaya. Thank you for your patience. Hallelujah. Come on. Zion is a Lord. Hallelujah. He's been patient with us. Give us another chance. We pray. Have mercy on the Lord as we pray. We thank you for this word. Bless our children today. Keep them and protect them. Watch over them. We pray Lord that this word will be hidden in our heart. Hided in the place where the enemy cannot snatch it away. Most of all, Father, I pray that you would give us the capacity to walk this word out. This is our prayer in Jesus name and Jesus name. Amen. And this Amen. I want us to give an $8 seed. Listen, I have been teaching you on giving. I've been teaching you on faith. And one giving is one of the ways that faith steps forward. Because when you're giving, listen to me. When you give, you're not holding back. You have you're moving, but you're moving in trust. You're moving in faith. What you're saying when you're giving is Lord, I am not waiting for. I'm not waiting for things to be perfect to respond to you. I'm not waiting until I can dot every eye and cross every T before I respond to you. When you're giving brothers and sisters you stand there, I trust you. enough to release what's in my hand. That's moving forward. That's faith. That's faith that's fancy. And again, there's times when faith must rest, but then there also times when we have faith that we have to move. We have to take a step. And giving is a step. So I just want you today. I want everyone to get an $8 seed. If you would like to sow more, you can. Those of you that are listening on Spotify, those of you that are listening on the Apple Podcast, I want you to join in this because when we're giving, it's, it's we're making a decision to trust God beyond what we see, beyond what we feel, but beyond what, what seems comfortable. And, you know, for a lot of us, this altar has become that place of strength. It's become a place of clarity. It's become the place where your faith is being built week after week. So this is an opportunity to respond. And I don't want you to respond out of pressure. I want you to respond out of faith. I want you to respond out of trust. And I want you to see this morning. It's just a small seed, but it it's see, it's never in the amount. I feel strongly to say that well, why just the $8 seed? It's never in the amount. It's in your faith, it's in your obedience. But as you sow this morning, I want you to do it with expectation. I want you to sow knowing that God honors faith that moves. And so I want you to give now. I want you to sow now.
