f*ck it. ZERO to $1,000/day with branded dropshipping (FULL COURSE)

This video challenges the common dropshipping myth that product selection alone determines success, arguing that market, creative, and store design are equally crucial. The speaker emphasizes starting with a profitable market, listing pain relief, gut health, beauty, and pets as strong options, while advising against clothing, cool gadgets, and jewelry. For product research, criteria include solving a painful problem, achieving high margins (at least 3x cost or $20 profit), enabling upsells, being easy to ship, and offering subscription potential. Product validation is highlighted as more important than research, using tools like SimilarWeb to confirm competitors generate at least $300,000 monthly. The speaker demonstrates validating a flea and tick collar for pets, confirming it meets all criteria. For store building, he recommends the Shrine theme for customizable sales pages and AI tools like ChatGPT-4 for creating images and GIFs. The overall strategy aims to minimize risk by using data-driven decisions rather than gambling on untested products.

Debunking Myths and Choosing Your Profitable Market Hey guys, Mark here in this video, I'm going to show you how to go from 0 to $1000 a day in sales as quickly as humanly possible with branded drop shipping. Now here's how this video is going to be different from every other video that you've probably seen on this topic. If you look at 99% of the videos, if you do a search for like 0 to 1K tutorial or like full course, blah blah, blah, whatever the hell, you'll basically find the strategy that most people purport, which is that 90% of your success, if not like 95 or 99, comes down to one single thing and that is the product. But that is just absolutely, absolutely not true. There's so many more variables that pull a lot of weight that influence whether or not you're going to be successful. Because when you think of a model like this, like the old way of doing things, this whole model here, this is basically what I think of. It's basically like gambling. These gurus just convince you that the only way to find a product is just to keep digging, keep testing products, don't worry about anything else, just a product, product, product. And that's a terrible strategy, OK? Because the real split actually probably looks a little something like this. You have a good portion that is actually the product. You know, let's say that that's this section right here. But you also have a section that is the market. What is the actual market that you're selling in? Another massive, massive piece here, I would say is actually the creative. So what does the actual ads look like? Because I've seen ads that are phenomenal, that drive to terrible looking stores, terrible products, but they still just RIP. How is that possible? It's because they have a great market and great creatives. And the final thing over here would be the actual store or the funnel itself. So in this video, I'm going to show you how to actually go from zero to 1 KA day as quickly as possible using this strategy and not falling into like this whole trap here of just test, test, test. That's product, product, product, because that's the fastest way for you to lose money. And the first thing we're going to be talking about actually is the market, because markets, let me tell you, markets rule everything. I promise you, you can find the perfect product and I'm going to get to that. Exactly how to find that. But you can find the perfect product. But if you're not selling in a good market, if you're selling in a market that is declining, that doesn't have those red hot buyers, you're always going to be fighting upstream and it's going to be really, really difficult for you to actually make any money. It's like you're just going against the grain. And this whole video is about making your job as easy as possible, removing all the strengths between you and actually making the money that you want to make. So because I want to make your job just so fucking easy, and I don't even want you to think, I'm just going to list a few solid markets that you can pick from that you should try to market in. For example, first up on the list, we have pain relief. All right, What I like to say about markets, of course you want to sell a problem solving product, but it needs to be in a painful market. And here we're using that literally like literal pain relief, right? Another great market is gut health. OK? Anything along the line of, you know, supplements or even like noctropics is typically a very, very hot market that you can get into and start selling relatively well. Just make sure, of course, you do your research with the supplements because, you know, every input has an output. So these are all kind of fall under the umbrella of health. So health products, health Wellness products are a phenomenal market for you to get into. Another is just beauty in general. So you could dissect beauty and talk about, for example, acne products, you could have facial hair removal, right? I saw this brand the other day, facial hair removal for women and they are just ripping. So that's a fantastic. Another is hair loss or kind of the other side, which is hair growth, right? Another great market that you can get into both for men and women. Another market that I think is great is the pet market specifically once again, something painful within the pet market. So this could be something as simple as like pet supplements, right? It could be like maybe some sort of teeth cleaner could be like a flea device of some sort. The only thing that people love more than themselves is their family and their pets. So selling in the pet market is a great market to be in. On the other hand, you have markets that you want to like stay away from, right and for me, there's actually a few on this list that you should want to stay away from. For example, a pair selling clothing is one of the most difficult industries for you to get your foot in. I could go into all the reasons why, but just listen to me, unless you have experienced previously with an apparel brand or you have a lot of capital set aside, it is just not easy to scale like a clothing brand. I'm telling you guys right now, Next up on the list of markets to stay away from would be what I like to call like cool gadgets. These are the things that that's like a fidget spinner, right? It's cool to have it kind of sort of solves the problem for the for the most part, people are going to think it's really cool for like a week or two, then they're never going to touch that product ever, ever again. There's no opportunities for MRR. It's just overall a bad idea, right? And then finally on the list of things to stay away from, I'm going to put jewelry on here specifically because jewelry is one of those things that it's very hard for you to create some sort of competitive advantage, right? You're really just competing so much so on the visual appeal of your product that going into like the emotional journey around it is going to require a lot more marketing experience for you to actually make money with it. And like I said, I want to make this as easy as possible for you. So don't fucking sell these nations, all right? Just take my words for it. So select something from this list, don't overthink it and move on. So for example purposes, let's say we're going to sell in the pet market. All right, that's where I'm be doing my research so you can follow along over the shoulder. Researching and Validating Products for High Profitability Now let's move to the second piece, which is probably why most of you came this video on the 1st place, the product, Let me tell you this right now, the product oftentimes is not actually a real problem. We're going to do our best to find the best product as humanly possible, but ultimately it comes down to how well you can communicate that product to your end customer that determines whether or not going to make money. OK, so don't be the guy that's just obsessing over all winning product, winning product. It's like winning the lottery, right? Focus on all the other parts, all these other ingredients that go into actually running a successful branded drop shopping store. OK, so regarding the product, we have a few pieces of criteria because I actually like to delineate the product into two separate things, right? The first thing that you have regarding the product is product research. So this is when you're actually finding the product itself on, you know, some sort of spy tool, which we'll get to in a second. But the other side of this is what most people totally mess up, which is product validation. And this is actually proving that the person, the competitor that is selling this product is actually making a lot of money with it. My whole philosophy around products is I never want to sell those untapped winning products. I think those are a terrible way. Once again, it's just like playing the lottery and just hoping, crossing your fingers that you win. Instead of using science and data to find out if a product is going to work for you or not. The product research, when it comes to that process, there's only a few criteria that I really have. The first criteria that I have here is that has to solve a painful problem. All right, we already got the market set up. Now we need to find a product that solves a painful problem. Not just a problem, but a painful problem, A problem that they can't even live a single day without feeling. This problem that is deeply, deeply embedded inside of them #2 piece of criteria is you have to sell something with what I like to call high margin. Now this is like a little vague, so let me get as specific as I fucking can here. When I say high margins, that means two things. Number one, you need to be able to sell the product for at least three X or cost of goods sold. And honestly that's like the bare fucking minimum. So if I find a product on Aliexpress that can be shipped for $20.00, right? Including the cost of goods sold, I have to sell that for a minimum of 60 bucks on my store. OK, so that's the first side of the rule. The other side of the rule is that there has to be at least $20 worth of profit. So for example, if I find a product on Aliexpress and it costs like $2.00 shipped to United States, sounds great, I'll only have to sell it for six right? Wrong. The second rules, there needs to be at least $20 worth of gross margin, OK? So if I have that same $2.00 product, I would need to sell it for a minimum of $22.00 shipped, right? So that's the two rules. If you have something that meets those two rules, then you can officially say, yes, this product actually is high margins. Next up on the list of product research criteria, I have potential for upsells. OK. What I mean by this is I like to start with the end in mind, right? The worst thing that you can do when constructing like a really, really good funnel, really good store is finding a product and then like forcing these upsells around it and just hoping and praying to the ECOM gods that it's going to make you rich and that it's actually going to convert. Instead, I want to start with my upsells in mind from day one when I'm choosing my products in the perfect framework. If you don't know like how to find a good product to upsell, a good product should help you do two things. It should solve a problem and also create a new one. Let me say that again. It should solve a problem and create a new problem and the upsell products should be solving the new problem that was created from the original product. So that's how you come up with really good upsells that you want to sell. Final piece of criteria comes to product research is going to be #4 here. And that is it has to be easy to ship. OK? Ideally you want to sell products that can fit in a shoe box. If you have a product that fits in a shoe box, your shipping nightmares are going to be like a fraction of that some other companies out there that are shipping these massive, massive products. And just as a little bonus potential for subscription. Now this is not a mandatory one, there's just a bonus. So if you have a product that has potential for somebody to continue to buy that product over and over and over again every few months, you can sell them on subscription instead of just getting a one time buyer because subscription buyers have a higher LTV than just a one time buyer typically does, which is great for the business long term. Now this has all been product research, right? But I told you that actually the more important step here is going to be the product validation. So now let's talk about what this actually looks like. There's actually a very simple set of criteria here and all I'm looking for is proof, like proof, data backed proof that I can say confidently there's a competitor that is selling this exact same product and making a minimum of $300,000 per month, absolute bare minimum 300, $1000 a month, roughly around 10K per day. OK, so the way that I do this and I actually find these products is just using the similar web extension. That's how I validate a product. I'll get into the product research in just one second. But a simple way for you to calculate the volume somebody's doing, let's say on similar web, right? If we take Miro for example, they're going to have crazy, crazy numbers. I mean, this doesn't even make sense. Let's say instead of 30 million visitors per month, they have like 300,000, right? So let's say they have 300,000 visitors and let's just say it's an ecom store that is selling a pet supplement for or an average order value of 50 bucks, right? So 300,000 visitors, $50 average order value. And then you just multiply this by the conversion rate. So let's say on average the conversion rate is like 2.5%. If we multiply all these things together, 2.5% * 50 * 300 K, you can estimate that their actual cash collected revenue, whatever you want to call it in their business per month is $375,000 per month. So it's just a simple guesstimation, but you can use their website visitors to 1st engineer. How much money you think that they're probably making. So let me actually show you how to go through and find one of these products. So I like using my software here. It's called get hook dot AI. If you can check it out, link in the description. But this is simply an ads by tool that can help you filter to find winning ads. And like I said, the whole game is about, yes, product research, but more importantly, product validation. Right now with validation, we want to prove that they're running ads successfully and generating enough volume in their store. So the filters that I have here, I'm on the explore section. The ad has to be at least four stars, which are better, so four or five starred. The ad has to still be running. If the ad is no longer running, then we know that it's no longer profitable for the business. Running in English, at least 50 minimum active ads in the brand's ad library and also has a video length of over 3 minutes, so 3 to 5 minutes or 5 minutes plus. So what I'm doing here is I'm scrolling through and I'm clicking on these links, for example, this one here and just assessing the volume, right? So I open the similar web extension here. You can see these guys are at most doing like 37,000 last month or that's actually two months ago now visitors, which is nowhere to near like we need to see at least 300,000 visitors to even consider them. But I'm going to spend some time scrolling until I find a product that I think suits the criteria. All right, so I found this brand here Now they have 716 active ads in the library right now, which is a shit ton. And so I decided to click on the details here and actually go to the URL. And what I found here is basically this flea and tick collar right? And if I look at the similar web visits, Oh my God, are these guys scaling up like crazy. Another cool thing about get hooked is if you go to this particular fur life brand and you click start spying. By the way, if this is your brand, I, I apologize in advance. You're doing great and you click track and brand spy. What you can do is basically break down the analytics of this brand and see if they're scaling up or scaling down. So as we can see here, this is the trend of the number of ads these guys have launched in the span of a few months, right? So February, March, April and May obviously very low because we're only four days into the month. But even then they're gonna they're, they're pacing to test significantly more than they did in April, which is crazy. So these guys are definitely scaling up their creative production. And as we can see from similar web, they scaled up their traffic like crazy. They went from 87,000 visitors in a single month to 638,000. Like that's absolutely crazy. And you can see that there are clearly dominance on Facebook ads because of that. You can also see their URL breakdowns, the top winning ads, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, etcetera, right? But now we can confidently say that this product actually does meet the criteria because if we go back here, right, we can see that it definitely is in a good market, right? We mentioned that earlier, it does solve a painful problem. If a dog owner has to see their dog suffer from fleas, God forbid that's literally going to cause the dog owner pain, let alone the dog itself. So we can check this off and say that it does accomplishment. High margins. This product can be shipped for well under 5 bucks. So this is definitely a high margin product. Potential for upsells, Absolutely. I mean, the pet market in general can do very, very well for upsells. It could be a little bit better, but I'm going to say it's still accomplished. Easy to ship. Yes, it can fit in a shoe box. Potential for subscriptions. I actually think that these guys do have subscriptions. Oh no, they just have a buy, buy more, save more. So I think the potential for subscriptions for this offer would be to refill the filter if there is some sort of filter there. So I'm not sure if they have that set up. I haven't really looked through these guys website too much, but I'm going to say for that reason, we could also cross that off. So it meets all the product research criteria and it meets the product validation criteria because we can see that they're generating well over 300,000 visits a month. And if you do the math, even by these numbers alone, which is probably actually pretty close to like what their AOB is, I don't know how to have to go through and look through their stuff, but they're doing well over 300 KA month. So it meets all the criteria that we set out previously. So now we can move on to the next step. Crafting Your Store and Compelling Copy with AI Tools Now the next step here is going to be actually building the store. OK, so I'm going to make your job really easy once again, if you want to know what theme to use for your store, you should be using the Shrine theme. It's probably the best theme that you can use. It does cost a little bit of money. I'm not affiliated with these guys in any way, but I'm telling you because our own stores are running on the Steam. It's very fast, very customizable, and for me, most importantly, it can create really good sales pages for your product. So if we look at this example right, this is basically what the homepage would look like, but you can have product pages that are actually very customizable. If you look at this, for example, you can have all these really, really good functions kind of already built into the store. And as you can see, really good left, right, left, right center reviews structure of this particular Lander. So overall really good, like I said, not affiliated, but you know, they they do good work. Now, outside of the shrine theme, the next asset that you're going to need to build your store is going to be the images. Right now for the images, lucky you, son of a bitch. You were born in the AI revolution, so you can use AI tools to create all the images that you need for your particular store. And gone are the days where the image generation is not very good, it's not very customizable and the text gets all messed up, blah blah blah. Not anymore. What you're going to use is ChatGPT 4 O, and you're specifically going to be using the image generation feature of ChatGPT. So if I log into my account real quick, you're going to go up to the top. Make sure you have 4 selected, you're going to hit create image and then you're going to describe the image that you want to have on your store. OK, now another cool thing. I don't think I need to go into detail here. I mean, this is so freaking straightforward. Now another thing that you want to do is not just have images, but also have GIFs, right? So GIFs are of course the little bit heavy files, but they are those moving images that are not quite videos. So what you're going to do is still use chat CBT image generation, but then you're going to feed it into another software called cling. OK, now Cling is going going to use image to video technology to animate the actual image and you're gonna turn that video into a GIF. Once again, I'm not gonna go through examples for this specifically because it is super duper straightforward ChatGPT 4 O is very inexpensive. Cling is also very inexpensive and at the forefront of image to video transformation. So really cool software, highly recommend you guys check it out. Now the final asset that you really need when it comes to building your store is going to be the actual copyright. This is actually, if not the most ingredients of building a successful store, the second most ingredient. But honestly, I would say it is actually the first most important ingredient in this entire process. And the reason why is because all this information here, the shrine theme, the images, the gifts, you're creating, all this really high quality custom content, but people don't buy just because your brand looks good. People buy because they are persuaded to buy through your copy. This is like the most annoying thing that I see anytime I have to do like a store review for one of our clients or you know one of you guys on IG DMS me and you're saying Mark, take a look at my store and I do and you all make the same fucking mistake, which is that the store actually looks pretty good aesthetically, it looks good, but the copy is complete fucking dog shit. It is just terrible. It's like it's a solid one out of 10 at fucking best. Like I literally get pissed off fucking reading it because you guys have no idea how to write copy. So now that I'm done berating you, I you can actually show you how to write good copy and use AI in the process. So for the actual writing of the copy, you should be using a software called Claude. It's on it 3.7 right now. This is, you know, nothing crazy. It's an LLM that's been around for a while. The secret to actually spitting out good copy comes with all the work that goes before you ever even step foot inside of Claude, and that's what I want to show you guys right now. So I have this SOP created. I'll link this in the description below. But basically the way that you really create really good copy is that you give it really, really good research. You give it what I call these foundational documents, which is a research doc, an avatar doc, and necessary beliefs doc. That's all the documents. And you feed all of this into Claude so that it actually has the appropriate context to write good copy for your store. So all the instructions are on this SOP, but I'm just going to show you real quick how you can get all these foundational documents because we're going to use these for the rest of this entire process for writing the copy on the store, writing the copy for the ads, like everything is going to be using these foundational documents. This is like the most important thing that you take away from this video right now. So we're going to hop into ChatGPT 4 O. That's all you need for these initial steps. Let's paste the first prompt and just explain exactly what we sell, which is Lee and tick collar for dogs. Now we're going to go to our competitor. I have this little extension that will actually capture the entire page as a PDF, and I'm going to upload this to the ChatGPT 4 O so that it has a good understanding of the main competitor that's running this offer right now. O I'm going to go in here and drop that file and hit enter. All right, now we're going to send prompt #2 and now we're going to send prompt #3. Now, while prompt #3 is loading, I'm going to open a new tab, and I'm going to go to gemini.google.com. I've done a lot of split testing over the last few months on the best deep research model that is available. I've tried Perplexity, I've tried Clod, I've tried ChatGPT, I've tried basically everything that I've been able to get my hands on. Gemini 2.5 Pro Experimental by far has brought back the best results. And when it comes to copywriting, most of the strength of your copy is going to come from the research that you do. I'd rather have a shit load of really, really good research and just a little bit of kind of OK research. And so Gemini is absolutely the best. So what we're going to do is we're going to select deep research right here. Let's go back to our chat CBT window. And that whole process, those initial prompts was literally just creating the prompt specifically for Gemini. So I'm going to go through and I'm going to copy all of this up until right here. Go into Gemini, paste it and hit enter. Now it's going to give you a little plan for how it's going to conduct the research. This looks good to me. So we're just going to hit start research. Now this whole process will probably take anywhere from like 5 to 15 minutes. So, you know, take some time, grab yourself a nice cold beverage and you know, work on the store or something in the meantime. So Jim and I just finished it's deep research and as you can see, my goodness gracious, look at all this juicy coffee juice we got flowing right here. So what we're going to do is go to the very bottom of all of this and we are simply going to copy every single word and paste it into our little document right here. For research specifically, they're just going to go up here, hit file, and then download. As a docx file. Now we're going to move on to the next two doc, which is the avatar doc and the offer brief. So under the avatar doc for prompt one, we're just going to copy this right here. You actually have to create a new window. Unfortunately, you can't upload files for deep research specifically. So what I'm going to do is just hit new chat. I'm going to upload this and I'm actually going to paste in that research document that we just downloaded as a docx file. So that has all the proper context and use that to fill out the avatar sheet. And if you're wondering, by the way, guys at this point, like why am I using Gem throughout this whole process? The reason why is because you have just traditional LLMS, but then you have these more advanced models that are more intelligent and have better reasoning capabilities. What I'm really looking for is the reasoning where if I were to expand this, you can actually see how the model is thinking. You can see it's thinking through the various steps and how it's going to actually go through and complete the prompt that you give it instead of it just like thinking super fast. I know, like being fast is not always a good thing. Like there's a very specific time and place where you should not be very fast, you know what I mean? So Gemini in that case is really good because it's the most intelligent model out there, second to maybe O3. I can't remember how to check the data, but now that we have this, we are simply going to now copy all of this information here and then paste this into our avatar sheet and we're going to go file download as a docx. Now we're going to repeat literally this exact same process for the offer brief. So I'm going to copy this prompt here. We can now use the same window, and the final foundational document that we have to create is our necessary belief stock. So what we're going to do is take this massive chunk of text here and simply paste it in directly and just watch it analyze this document. While that's working, we're going to copy everything from the offer brief from Gemini. We're going to paste it in here, and then we're going to download that one as well. Now the final document we're really missing is just the necessary beliefs, in which case we have one more prompt we have to upload, which is this one here. Paste that into Gemini and hit enter. All right now that we got these statements, we are simply going to copy these as well and upload those into our necessary beliefs doc file download. All right, so at this point we have our four foundational documents, the necessary beliefs doc, the research doc, the avatar brief, and the offer brief. Now we can actually go through and write the copy All right So what we're going to do is go to Claude. You're going to open up a new window and for actually writing the copy, what I always like to start with is the PDF file that we took earlier of the successful competitors sales page and you're simply going to say this prompt here. You are my expert direct response copywriter and you specialize in writing highly persuasive direct response style copy for my brand that sells dog collars that specifically keep away fleas and ticks for better health of the dog. I want you to please analyze my competitor sales page here and let me know your thoughts. Now we're going to hit enter and watch it cook. The only reason I'm doing this, by the way, just so that you guys can kind of understand prompt engineering is I want to give it as much context as humanly possible, right? And the the best way for you to do that, it's not actually to upload copywriting books and copywriting resources. Occasionally it can work, but keep in mind the context window of a lot of these LLMS is not super large. You know, it's only 1 to 200,000 tokens unless you're using something like Gemini, which has a larger context window. But ironically, it's not as good at writing copy. So I want to make sure that I give it and feed it the best quality, you know, information. Now this entire process from here and now is going to be very specific to you and the type of store that you are building. But what I would do is if I were you is you're basically going to go section by section and have Claude write this copy for you after feeding it all of our foundational documents. And what you'll find is when you combine the swipe file of the sales page of the competitor, which we already did, along with those 4 foundational documents, you'll notice that the quality of copy that Claude spits out is significantly higher than just normally prompting this as as most people do. As an example, here's a prompt that you could feed Claude in order to write you all the copy for your actual Shopify store. Now that you properly understand the general angles and psychological triggers that my competition is using in the sales page, I want you to please analyze these four documents that I've attached here one by one that is going to be specifically for my brand that is selling the same product. So it's going to take some time and actually get familiar with the documents here. Great work. Now that you've completed that process, I want you to completely writes a sales page specifically for my brand, not for the competition that is going to be selling the exact same product. That's like a four out of 10 prompt, but you want to play around with it a little bit because everybody's going to have different sections on their store. Like what section do you want this to be? Do you want this to be like benefit driven? Like the most important thing when it comes to writing copy is that you're writing copy in the context of the outcome that people will get a result of using their product. You don't need to talk a whole lot about the features, about the benefits. Outcomes is really the ultimate thing that actually matters. That's why everybody buys products to get some specific outcome. But as you can see, even if I hit enter on this, you know, pretty shitty prompt, it's still writing actually insanely good. Like this is actually almost like an avatarial style copy. So I'll make sure, you know, you want to dial in the creativity a little bit more so that it actually writes good copy that fits the structure of your sales page specifically because this looks like it's taking the routes of kind of a, you know, almost like an avatarial mix with a sales page, which is not what I would recommend you do if you're a complete beginner in the process is actually going to be the creation of the ads. Creating High-Converting Video Ads from Swipe to Edit So I typically recommend people start out on either Facebook or TikTok ads because there's kind of a general structure that you can use for both that works very, very well. Now, what I'm specifically looking for here is I want to break down the various parts of an ad for you. Because when I say ad and when I say creative, they're actually not synonymous. All right? And if you don't understand the various parts of the ad, then it's going to be pretty hard for you to ever make a successful 1. So in order of importance, these are the various parts of the ad, right? So the first is the actual creative itself. Now, when I say creative, I mean this right here, which is actually the image or the video that is associated with your ad. If you don't get that right, then nothing else is going to save it. I promise you 100,000%. If you get the creative right, you can mess up everything else, everything else, and you'll still destroy it because a winning ad Trump's basically everything. If it's really that good, it'll trump basically everything #2 in order of importance is going to be what's called the primary text. All right, now the primary text on Facebook and Instagram. On Facebook, it would actually be, there would be a little section right up here and it would be right above the ad. On Instagram, it's like right below. This is the second most important part of the ad because this is what's called like the ad copyright. This is what goes along with the creative. But again, when's the last time you looked at an ad and you specifically read every single word of the primary text? Doesn't happen very often. You typically just watch the video, look at the image, and click. That's also what 99% of your customers as well, so keep that in mind. The third part of the ad is going to be the headline, which on Facebook is going to be down here, right at the bottom, this initial line kind of right there, right? And then right below that you have the description, which is right below the headline right there. And then last but not least, you have the CTA, right, the call to action, which is this little button right there, OK? Most of these, in fact, these three are basically worthless. Like I've actually spent a lot of time split testing all of these primary text maybe makes up, you know, 10% of your success unless you're running an image ad, in which case it would be higher. But if you're running a video that really is 90 to 95% of your success on ads, it's like this variable alone makes up by far the majority of your success in e-commerce in general. If you can make good ads like you are gonna have an easy, easy time scaling your business. That's why I say run more ads. Now if you want to go through and actually create image creatives, which you can do, just use tattoo petite. Like I said earlier, the same process that you're kind of using for your store images, simply go through and recreate images there. In fact, what you can do is go to go hooked and specifically look for image ads. In fact, we actually have static ad styles that you can look at, for example, like before and afters, right? And it'll literally filter all of them so that you can find the top performing before and after photos or facts and stats or FAQs, whatever it is that you want to look at. You can also just generally look at image ads and find the top performing ones, upload it to ChatGPT and just recreate it for your product. Now look guys, I think video ads are actually superior when it comes to going from zero to 1 KA day. I find that they're a lot more scalable, a lot more consistent, and they don't require as much maintenance. Like when you have an image ad, yes, you can test faster. However, there's a trade off because the ad is also going to die faster. And now I don't want you to hit a 1K day. I want you to be doing 1K per day, every day, if not more than that. And so for that reason, I think video ads are the best. But there's a specific structure that you should use when it comes to actually writing video ads. And this structure is, you know, I don't have a cool acronym or anything for this, but this is what it should be. Swipe script, course and edit. Now let's break these down. OK, swipe is actually very easy because you already found the top performing ad for the competition. For example, let's say that this was the top winning ad of the competition. All you need to do, I already have this ad saved to my swipe file on get hook. I'm just going to click generate script and it's literally going to go through this entire ad script here and get the transcript in a matter of seconds. This is fucking bothersome. By the way, little hack for you guys. If you're running video ads, the first 3 to 5 seconds of that video is called the scroll stopper. If you zoom and look at what this scroll stopper is, this should be the level of scroll stopper that you have to create for your winning ads. I feel like I could barely speak like even looking at this image, it's like looking at a car crash. You know, it's like you have to look but you don't want to, but you're keep looking anyways. Like this makes me uncomfortable just looking at this and this is the level. Let me close this. This is the level that you have to operate at if you want to have really, really good ads like the first clip that people see. Not only does the text, the copy have to be good, but you have to fucking like punch people in the gut to the point where they like they almost feel like sick, but they're still dragged in to continue watching. All right, so ignore that over on the left hand side, but now over here on the right, as you can see, we have the entire transcription of the ad. So this is actually the second step already completed for you, right? So we need to swipe, which we got right. We found the winning ad that's already working for the competition. Now we need to script it for ourselves. Now what you can do is if you have this ad already saved, you can go to the top right hand corner here and hit use for AI script. And what it's going to do is you basically fill in a little bit of information about your brand, for example, company name, product name, target audience, product description, and ideally feed it in as much information as humanly possible, especially on the product description section. Fill in as much information as possible and hit write script. And what it'll do is actually going to write the entire script for you based off of the winning ad script that has already been created. So since I'm lazy, I'm going to screenshot all this and I'm going to upload it to Claude and just tell it to fill in this information for me. All right, so we have all that information filled in. What we're going to do now is just hit write script, and while this is writing, it'll take a little bit of time because this is a little bit of a longer ad. This is actually a 5 minute long VSL, so we'll give it a little bit of time to cook. What you can do is also adjust the creative score here, which basically what this means. If I were to turn this slider to something above 0.7, like .8 point 91.2, it's going to get more and more creative. And then vice versa if I drop this to the other side, right? So what it's doing is it's taking the existing winning script over here on the left hand side, as you can see, and rewriting it using AI and the information that I gave it OK, and you can read through this copy, feel free to process it. But it's it's phenomenally good simply because all it's doing is taking the winning script and rewriting it for your particular product. All done with AI. And it took a grand total like what 2 minutes freaking insane. And even better, we just accomplished the entire second step here, which is the script. So we now have a winning script that has already been pre validated that we can test on ad. The next two steps is to source the content for the video ads, which you can use something such as grid bank if you want to have like you know, B, you can also use cling AI for image to video and create custom B roll. And another thing that you can do is just look for B roll on the Internet. So you can look at TikTok, you can look at Instagram, you can look at YouTube and just pull all those clips together to the point where now you can actually edit the ad. And if you're a beginner, what I would recommend is just using something like cap cut where you can kind of piece everything together in the best way possible. But if you have just a little more capital set aside, I'd really just recommend hiring an editor and it'll cost you maybe like one or two 100 bucks to put together an entire ad with a few scroll stoppers as well. So this is personally my favorite. I mean, I have a team of editors that works for me. So, you know, I don't have to edit stuff myself, but the production of the ad is very, very important and you don't want to mess it up. So make sure that you work with a really good editor and great news guys. Post-Launch Essentials, Data Analysis, and Mentorship for Growth That means that you're basically just about good to launch. You're good to turn on those ads and get some data. Remember, anytime that you're spending money on ads, you're not actually spending money, you're buying data. So most normally when I test something new, I'm not always profitable the first time that I'll launch something. And that's OK because I know that the data is telling me a story. And if I know how to read through these various numbers, then I know exactly what to do when it comes to relaunching or adjusting the creatives or adjusting the targeting or changing something on the funnel. I know exactly what to do. So there's never a point where you should test ads and you don't immediately make money back and you just quit because that's a loser mindset. That's a new mindset. And you're never going to make with paid ads if you have that mindset. Instead, think like an engineer, right? You test something, throw it out in the wild, everything just fails. It falls flat on its face. OK, take a look at the data, analyze it, see what it tells you, readjust, relaunch, and then maybe next time you're at a 1.0, you're still not profitable, but you're getting closer. Make it few readjustments. Now you're at a 1.5. Cool, you're profitable, right? So that's what the process could really look like. A few other things that I wanted to tell you guys before you actually do launch is you need to set up basic, basic e-mail and SMS flows specifically for abandoned carts. Anything outside of that is probably a waste of your time as of right now before you get, you know, any real customers coming through the door. But e-mail and SMS, a banner card, set it up. It'll be the easiest money that you ever make. For SMS you can use a software called SMS Bump and for e-mail you can use Clavio. Next thing for actual processing of the payments, what you can use is Stripe or Shopify Payments initially to start alongside PayPal. Now quick little spiel about payment processing. If you're starting in business as an entrepreneur, it's very likely that you're going to get either banned or holds or reserves from payment processors at some point in time. OK, if you're just starting out, they shouldn't really ban you immediately, but just expect it because then you're not going to be blindsided when it happens, right? In the same way that you can have ad accounts shut down, pages shut down as rejected, the same thing happens with payment processing. And it all comes down to relationship. It's like a relationship with a girl, right? You want to build the rapport, build the trust before you try to do anything freaking stupid and scale up your ad spend to 10/20/30 KA day without even letting them know or having any backups in place, right? So you want to have the same exact process when it comes to payment processing. So if we zoom out here to now, this beautiful, you know, five step process that we have from going to zero to 1 KA day, you guys should now literally have everything. Now, the interesting thing, you know, when I'm putting together this video, there's like a million nuances when it comes to building Nikon store from scratch and scaling it to one KA day. There's like things that break in every tiny little spot. And if I were to cover every single nuance, this video would be 45 hours long and I would want to kill myself by the end of it. But what we did instead of me doing that is actually built a mentorship program with my partner Alex called Brand Builders Academy. And in this program, we literally hold your hand through this entire process from the market to the product to the store. And there's checkpoints where you can actually talk with somebody on my team, a coach that has his own ecom brand that's running successfully so that he can give you direct one-on-one customized feedback so you can actually get from zero to 1 KA day as quick as possible because this is great. The strategy works is exactly what we teach, but just having that support and accountability will help you get there that much faster. So if you want to alley for that program, you can just click the first link in the description and fill out an application. Other than that, guys, thank you so much for watching. I'll see you on the next one. Peace.

Podcast Summary

Key Points:

  1. Success in branded dropshipping depends on multiple factors (market, creative, store/funnel), not just product selection.
  2. Choosing the right market (e.g., pain relief, gut health, beauty, pets) is critical; avoid clothing, cool gadgets, and jewelry.
  3. Products must solve a painful problem, have high margins (3x COGS or $20 profit), potential for upsells, be easy to ship, and ideally allow subscriptions.
  4. Product validation is essential
  5. Build stores with the Shrine theme and use AI tools like ChatGPT-4 for image and GIF creation.

Summary:

FAQs

Product research is about finding a product that meets criteria like solving a painful problem, having high margins, and being easy to ship. Product validation is proving that a competitor is already making significant money with that product, using data like website traffic from tools like SimilarWeb.

Multiply the estimated monthly website visitors by the average order value and the conversion rate. For example, 300,000 visitors times a $50 average order value times a 2.5% conversion rate equals $375,000 per month in revenue.

Set filters for ads with 4 or 5 stars, still running, in English, at least 50 active ads in the brand's library, and a video length over 3 minutes. This helps find brands that are actively scaling.

The Shrine theme is fast, highly customizable, and includes built-in sales page features like review layouts and product page designs. It helps create effective landing pages without needing extra plugins.

ChatGPT 4 O can generate high-quality images and GIFs for your store, with accurate text and customization options. This eliminates the need for manual graphic design, making it easy to produce professional visuals.

The main product should solve a painful problem but also create a new, related problem. The upsell product then solves that new problem, creating a natural and effective upsell funnel.
