Morgan Stewart shares a lively and reflective update on her life, blending personal milestones with unexpected moments of serendipity. She recounts a spontaneous meeting with Sebastian Maniscalco, who unexpectedly joined her live show after canceling a prior appearance, revealing his experience at a Ronda Rousey fight in Vegas where he was left out of the celebrity lineup—highlighting a moment of public oversight that she finds cringe-worthy. Stewart celebrates her birthday with a planned sophisticated dinner party for 22 guests, rejecting loud, chaotic social events in favor of a relaxed, mindful atmosphere. She shares her journey of decluttering her closet, cutting back on shopping due to overconsumption, and embracing authenticity in clothing and self-image—choosing to wear a makeshift outfit on the day of the event. She also discusses personal habits, such as practicing positive self-talk and avoiding phone use before bed, to improve mental well-being. A major highlight is her emotional connection to Hilary Duff, whose album she deeply admires and whose encouragement of women in fitness inspired a meaningful collaboration. Stewart reflects on the intimate, authentic process of creating the album with her partner, describing it as a deeply vulnerable and healing experience that strengthened their bond. She also outlines her upcoming tour, excitement about a family-focused, family-friendly tour with her children, and the challenges of travel logistics, including limited space on a bus and managing children’s excitement. She shares personal anecdotes about her relationship with her husband, including their long history of dating, breakups, and reunions, and their playful rivalry in games like boggle. The episode concludes with a celebration of authenticity, self-acceptance, and the joy of creative expression, as Stewart looks forward to a tour, a yacht trip, and a deeper connection with her audience through real, unfiltered storytelling.
Hey, everyone. I'm Morgan Stewart, and welcome to The Morgan Stewart Show. I'm going to be
talking about pop culture, fashion, my personal life, and just a warning, I will be giving
my opinions on everything, and those opinions are subject to change, okay? Now, let's get
into it. Okay, you guys, I'm so excited. I just had the most fun encounter of all encounters.
So to give you a little backstory, and I'm a little flustered because my adrenaline is
pumping, we scheduled Sebastian Maniscalco to come on the show two, how long, two months
ago? Two months ago. He's new to Sirius. He has his own radio show, and they were like,
that would be a great crossover, like, let's get Sebastian, blah, blah, blah. I was like,
let's get him. So we were so excited. We were all pumped, legitimate guests, going to have
him on, and then he canceled, and because he was busy, his schedule was busy, and I
was like, fine, you know what? Fuck that. Doesn't matter. So I just got finished recording
an episode with Jason Bolden, and I'm doing it.
I'm doing, like, a little solo topper with you guys because we have things to talk about.
I want to go over some stuff that's been going on in my life, and I go outside to pee, and
I can't even remember how this happened, but my producer, Cody, you were like, oh, Sebastian
Maniscalco is recording. Wait, first of all, he's recording next door to me, but he is
recording in the studio that I usually record from every single week, okay? So he bumped
me out of my own fucking studio, which I guess that's what happens when you're a huge star
and you have, like, you know, all the things on Netflix and all the comedy shows and all
the stuff.
So I got bumped.
So I was a little disoriented in, how fast am I talking? There's a lot of things happening.
Got bumped to a different studio, and what happened was I just went over, and I, like,
plopped myself right into his live show, and I just said, hi, you were supposed to come
on the Morgan Stewart show, and you didn't. You canceled. He could not have been nicer,
and he told me about his weekend. He went to a Ronda Rousey fight, which, did we even
know she was still fighting?
I didn't.
So what's her return to fighting? Her valiant return.
Oh, valiant return. Okay, so she returned.
And I had told him the story about how he was supposed to be scheduled on the Morgan
Stewart show, and he canceled, and he let me know that he went to the Ronda Rousey fight
in Vegas over the weekend. Netflix had invited him, and they did not show him in the celeb
lineup during the fight, and some of the people that they showed, I mean, over Sebastian,
I was kind of cringing for him. First, it was Carmen Electra, who, I mean, Carmen Electra,
Jessica, do you know who Carmen Electra is?
No.
My assistant doesn't know who that is. She's 29. Carmen Electra is an actress, former playmate,
married to Dennis Rodman, an icon of our generation, Cody. Like, she is gorgeous. She looks amazing.
No, I was going to say, I just looked her up. I definitely know who she is.
Okay, thank God. Thank God. She's like, I Googled her. I know who she is. So he then
proceeds to tell me about all these people at the fight, and he did not get shown in the famous
person lineup, and I was like, cringe. Like, maybe you don't need to be on the show. No,
he does. So he's coming on. So that was very exciting and a fun,
little serendipitous moment, and I was like, I have to jump on the mic and tell you guys.
Okay, we have lots to discuss. Number uno, it is my birthday on Friday, May 22nd. She's a gorgeous
girly, and I'm so excited because I'm going to be having a dinner party at my house with 22 people.
It's going to be a long sit-down dinner, and at the beginning of the month, and I do this every
single birthday because I am such a birthday freak. Like, I am so excited. I'm so excited. I'm
not joking. I think it is the biggest day of the year. I think it is something that you should take
seriously. I think it's something that you should celebrate, and you should make sure you make it a
big deal for yourself because nobody is going to celebrate you more than yourself. So you should
hype yourself up and just appreciate the day that you came into this planet. Every single person
that I went to elementary school with knows that it is my birthday on Friday because I told them
at the beginning of the year that on May 22nd, it's my birthday and don't make plans. There's
like a whole birthday month, but I'll do like a birthday week, and like, you know, as I've gotten
older, it is kind of, it's sad because the day comes and goes pretty quickly, and you're like
not as excited as you were as a kid. But anyway, beginning of the month, I was like, what am I
going to do for my birthday? I was like, I don't really feel like having another party because now
I'm at that like mid-range age in the 30s where it's like everybody does a dance party, but every
motherfucker is talking over loud music. They are not dancing. So then it just becomes like,
it becomes a completely uncomfortable environment where you're like, it's too loud to talk, and then
you don't have a voice the next day. You need to dance and have fun, or you need to have lower
music. So I was like, I don't want to do another party vibe. You know what I'm saying? It just
doesn't work, and I don't want to talk to you about your fucking kids over a bad ACDC song.
I don't. I don't care. I don't give a fat shit. I want you to do weird drugs or, I don't know,
to talk about something inappropriate. I had a party last year. It was fun. It was like,
I'm trying to make sure everyone else had fun. So this year, I was like, it came to me like a vision.
I was like, I am doing a sophisticated sit-down dinner that's going to be low-level steaks,
and it's going to be so fun because there's no pressure. And I think what makes for a good party
is when there's no pressure. And I put a lot of pressure on everything because I'm not chill,
but I feel very good about this. So 22 people outside in my backyard. I'm doing a long table.
I picked all of my, like,
tablecloth settings very early on in the month. It was like a one-stop shop,
and I do this for every party. Tablecloth, I rent plates, and I do glassware. We have the glassware,
flowers. We're doing candles everywhere. Like, I truly like to set a mood. We're not doing DJ.
We are doing playlist, which I've been adding to, which I've been playing back because you need to
have a mix. It needs to be like upbeat songs, but also chill songs. And another thing,
I do not know what I'm going to wear to this birthday. And I don't know if you've heard,
well, I haven't told you officially, but maybe on TikTok, I am not buying clothes anymore.
My assistant's laughing. I am on a shopping hiatus because what was happening was I was
overbuying to the point where I was forgetting about things and trying to, like, fill a hole
in some capacity of, like, some fashion hole that I thought, like, buying new stuff was going to,
like, make it easier for me to get dressed. And it's not. It's not. It's not. It's not.
And it actually did the contrary and made it difficult. And I felt like everything in
the room was spacing out. And I had so many options that I couldn't figure out what I
wanted to wear. So that was a long-winded way of me telling you guys that my birthday
outfit is going to, I know, take a second, it's going to be a makeshift outfit that I
come together on. Like, I'm not buying something new. It's going to, I mean, I have an idea
of what it is. It's a shirt that I haven't worn yet. And it's a pair of shorts I've
worn yet. I will not try it on until Friday. I am allergic to trying things on. I don't,
I feel like the energy has to, like, be authentic and it has to, like, come together in the right
moment. If I try those shorts and that shirt on too prematurely, it's not going to fit.
And I, tell me. I'm begging you to try it on before Friday. I know. Because everyone knows
I'm going to have a full panic, but I'm not going to because I am, what I'm doing is I am envisioning
the outfit and I know it's going to work. And I'm telling you guys, so many of you have followed me
for so long and all the different looks that I've thrown together. I have never, aside from, like,
a literal gown 4E because of television, I don't try anything on. So I'm really excited. I think
the birthday is going to be really great. But I also want to say on Sunday, I don't know when
this is airing, but a Sunday, I literally was with Susan from 945, I'm not kidding,
until 3.30, I tried on over 65 pairs of jeans, vintage Levi's and designer jeans. And I
got rid of all of those jeans because they do not look good. They didn't fit. They were the
wrong cut, for whatever reason, wrong wash. I mean, things that I've had for, like, 15 years
that I'm like, this is just cluttering my space. I'm not joking. I feel better. I feel lighter.
I feel like I'm able to, like, get dressed. I'm just shopping my closet. I mean, the outfit I have
on today, I'm wearing a yellow, if you're listening and not watching, I'm wearing a yellow button-down
in a lime green chartreuse leather pant with a pink Valentino heel. Hold on. Oh, tight hamstrings.
And this is one of the better outfits I've had on for a long time because I'm just, I'm getting
creative again. You know what I mean, guys? The birthday is going to be great. I'm clearing out
my closet. I'm going to go to the bathroom. I'm going to go to
I'm really also, I haven't perfected it, but I am trying to stay off my phone for an hour before bed
and in the morning. I'm not trying to grab it first thing because I was grabbing it and texting
bitches with one eye open, and it was becoming crazy, and I was becoming disorganized and
scattered. And I'm also trying to have more positive self-talk. I know. I know. Because
I'm constantly like, oh, how tired do I look? Or this isn't, it's just constantly negative. And so
now I am bringing light into my life. I'm saying that I'm wonderful. I deserve X, Y, and Z. Like,
I'm really trying to bring in positive chat. And I think it's also, it's, it's helped me quite a bit.
And another thing, I love these, I love these updates. I feel like it's so important for you
guys to know everything going on in my brain and in my life. I am in a position now where I've kind
of turned the corner at the gym and I'm loving going. I mean, okay, granted we had a seven,
the 7 a.m. that I have booked on Mondays is becoming,
very challenging. I don't think that's for me. I think we need to ask her to change that to
8 7 a.m on monday by the way i smoked a joint on sunday i don't know when this is airing but on a
sunday i could not it's wednesday i still have a headache i i just can't be doing stuff like that
it's just not for me anymore um okay jim i am like be turning into the girl like you go to the gym
for like six months when you start up and you're like i hate it this is awful and then somewhere
along the lines you just get better you get stronger you feel better and i'm starting out
my workouts on the treadmill every single day or every single time i work out and it's just
makes me feel so much better and i know that that's like duh moving your body always makes
you feel good but sometimes it's just like you're not in a groove at the gym for a long time and so
i don't know i feel really good um i'm currently also looking at an instagram
photo
of myself i'm like am i posting this instagram or not should we let them know the big news now
okay guys i had one of the crazier moments happen and actually it it correlates to the gym so i'm at
the gym two weeks ago two weeks ago yeah like three weeks ago three weeks ago okay two or three
i'm on the treadmill
let me read the text first okay
okay morgan exclamation exclamation exclamation it's none other than drum roll please if you're
in the car i really want you guys to take a second this name is no joke i really want us to be in this
together it's chris jenner no i know no i know wow in all caps wow w-o-w you made my day exclamation
exclamation exclamation exclamation so four exclamation points thank you for your kind and
generous critique critique on my met look so sweet it meant the world to me white heart praying hands
guys i didn't know what to do i like looked around on the roof to make sure there was like not a SWAT
team or like that like a whole network hadn't been canceled like i didn't even know how to process
the information i immediately just screenshotted it and and sent it to my husband and to my best
friends and then to the producer of the morgan stewart show because i didn't know what i literally
froze on the street and like looked around
and like i've seen chris in passing she's always been a queen but for her to go out of her way
to text me such a nice message she could have i mean this woman has been so famous for so long
she could have just seen the clip or whatever however it was sent to her and gone on with her
day the fact that she took time to get my number via chloe kardashian i thought was the sweetest
so i obviously responded with i am framing this text i couldn't believe your look it was so elevated and
so fashion comma the colors and the silhouettes with the glam and hair unreal whoever put you in
this keep them around forever it was perfect do you love it do you love that fucking response
i know and then of course i got then i turned into my own version of chris jenner because i was like
i would be remissed if i i said i know your days are scheduled to the millisecond but if there is
any shot in fuck hell that you can get your butt to morgan stewart show to talk about anything you
i don't care if she wants to talk about a caterpillar for two hours i don't care if she wants
to talk about a caterpillar for two hours i'll i'll sit there and go on that journey with her
and she said okay i'll tell the team with a kiss emoji i mean i don't even that 80s kiss emoji like
so glamour so glamour high end i don't know why i thought of like a 1988 white sl mercedes benz
like i just felt like there was red lipstick there was gold i felt like beverly hills in the heyday
like everything aligned for me that day it really was like i don't know why i thought of like a
red lipstick that day it really did
okay other things going on in my life i have to go to i don't have to i am i'm going to new
york next week because i have a wrangly shoot which is really down to the wire let me tell you
because we don't have a model yet it's literally on tuesday don't have a model don't have creative
locked don't know how to do it i don't have a model i don't have a model i don't have a model
i don't know what accessories i'm bringing like the week is just cuckoo crazy and i need to like
organize myself and for some reason the days are flying by they're like two hours long and then my
assistant is getting married on my time so she's going to be gone for two fucking weeks which is
just so fun i'm so we're so happy for her and my life is going to run smoothly perfectly we're even
setting up you know what we're doing my genius idea we're setting up an all-in-one
email for anybody that emails her that i can check because i don't want to be giving out my
personal email to everybody because like i'm not accessible to the world that's crazy um and so i'm
going to probably ignore all of the emails that come through i'm definitely going to miss lots
of meetings i don't even know how i'm gonna i guess i'm gonna have to go to the market
i haven't been to i go to the market for like under six items like the bulk of the shopping
is getting done and i am good about knowing what we're doing and i'm going to have to go to the
we don't have and i'm cooking quite a bit i'm really maternal guys i'm
cooking making lunches i'm doing all that stuff but going to the market
there's a whole system for that right because you got to get there early first of all you don't get
everything from one market true there's like i don't we're in america we're in los angeles
california and it takes four fucking markets to get everything you need i don't understand how we
don't have one market that has everything and don't get me started on arowana beverly hills i feel
like that's a sims character that's like a game like there's no room i had a full panic attack
there a year and a half ago there's nowhere to walk in the aisle i don't want to go there
so i'm gonna have to go to all the markets and here's the thing i'm not going to instacart
things i can't stand instacart like right well because i don't trust them to pull the right
they're not going to i've gotten so many like floppy bad vegetables oh my god i can't let
another person do it it's disgusting okay the
word floppy makes i think of really bad dick and i don't want to talk about that ever on this show
i don't want i don't i haven't even had it but i just don't even want to think about it it just
floppy sets me it sends me it sends me to a place that i don't want to think about
nope so to your point i don't need a floppy carrot showing up i want only organic but it's
gonna take me four fucking markets to do it i'm gonna have to do it early because let me tell you
the other thing that's going on while my assistant's out for two and a half weeks oh and then she's
comes back and then has another wedding so when i hired my assistant she was like i really want
this job first of all she drives two and a half hours to me and two and a half hours home i want
everyone to pause on that i made it very clear from the beginning when everyone told me not to
hire because it was crazy i said you're not gonna want to keep doing this it's nuts but i'm so
likable that we're six months in five months we're almost nine months i think nine is was
september nine well you know i don't know is it nine months yeah because we're almost to june okay
nine months of driving four hours to work i want everyone to know that is because i'm wonderful
because no one's driving four hours okay with a husband in tow if you're not great so that says
a lot about me which i'm excited about but in the midst of this so then she comes back and then she
has a wedding because she when i hired her she's like i want to work here i'll drive but i have 68
weddings that i have to go to this year because i guess if you're 28 and 29 years old everyone's
getting married you're not going to know these people in five years and they're all going to get
divorced anyway so like i don't need you to go to
every wedding i did draw a hard line i said september or did you draw that line i was like
i drew the fashion week i said i'm not going to the bachelorette priorities we're off to the races
we can't go to everyone's wedding you can't be a part of 68 weddings so she comes back then she has
to leave early on a friday and then i'm going out of town but in the midst of her leaving
susan also is leaving oh yeah no this bitch is out of her mind so she is usually like my
you know help with everything help with market help with dinner help with you know raising my
children i mean she's obviously like my right hand in a lot of things and she told me quote
i'm going at the beginning of june because i don't have the rest of my life to wait i was like okay
it was very dramatic she said no fucking way i'm going to my house in switzerland i'm gonna wait
for you and so what i'm gonna do is i'm gonna be alone with nothing for two weeks probably eating
i don't know out of an old chicken bag how am i gonna get to set and then
i am going to travel internationally by myself with my two toddlers in tow
because my mom wants me to basically take them and have a week solo with her for like some boot
camp and some like grounding and some like getting some spoiled shit out of them and having them be
real people like i had to do with like the cows and all the shit so i literally the cows and the
shit and i have to take my kids to europe which i'm so grateful to do that
by myself on an airplane my husband is coming a week and a half later so he's golfing three days
before i leave because he needs to be centered and then i travel alone with them and then he
gets a whole week of just doing whatever but you know what's so fucked up i can't even blame him
because i made the plan i can't even blame him because i literally was like oh yeah so i'm gonna
be jet lagged with my two kids and my mom who's gonna tell me to get out of the car and i'm gonna
get off the phone the whole fucking time but she does get a good candid shot of me i don't have one
photo by the way jessica took six thousand photos of me
me. They're all terrible. I feel like my 101-year-old grandmother, who literally had a
stroke six months ago, took these photos. When I open, we got to find our spot. I need a good photo.
I really do. So you're going to have to pray for me because it is going to be quite the adventure
doing that. And then I'm going on a boat with my friends and my family, or well, my husband as my
family. And then I'm going with other friends on the boat, which I have to tell you, I'm so
excited about because we took hiatus last year. And because I was like, here's the thing. Let's
get into really unrelatable content. We might as well, right? Because that's why you come to
The Morgan Stewart Show. So we have chartered a boat. When Jordan and I first met, his parents
chartered a boat. It was the first time I had ever gone on a yacht. It was really one of the most
surreal, unbelievable experiences. Then when we got married, his parents had gotten a boat like
two times. And then we decided to go on a boat. And then we got married. Like, let's take this over, which I know sounds, I mean, like, what the fuck did I just say in
English out loud to like people listening to this driving to their job? Like, it's, it's completely
off the fucking Richter planet. It doesn't make any sense. But anyway, we are able to do that.
We're very fortunate to do that. And we have done it for three years. We go with the same group of
people. And last year, what happens is when you charter a boat, obviously a chef and all the crew
and everybody comes on the boat. And sometimes you don't always get a good chef and you're stuck in
a boat. And then you get a chunky penny, you don't really want to risk it. So last year, being so
humble, I was like, we can't do that. We can't be in a position where like you want a grilled cheese
and they're giving you ceviche. Like we just need to be able to just go just take a timeout. So
we're getting back on the boat train this summer for one week. And I'm really excited. I feel like
a new appreciation for it. I feel a new excitement for it. I feel like obviously last summer with
getting into the same bullshit over and over was a horrific summer. So this summer, all the outfits I
didn't get to wear last summer, I'm going to wear. I'm shopping my closet. I'm going to go through
all of my bathing suits and make sure that I'm prepared. You know what I mean? It's going to be
really good content. Also, one of the girls that's been helping me with my social lately is going to
be on the boat, which just the convenience of that, there's nothing better. There's nothing
going to have to irritate your friends. Because the problem with me, which is so lame, is if I
don't have good content, which I want to be clear about, if I don't have good, like the trip or the
dinner or the lunch can't start without the content. And if you're really actually cool,
what you do is you just live and you have fun and someone gets like a photo of you drunk. But I can't
rely on that. I can't rely on that. And what happens if it doesn't happen? So there's that whole thing.
I also have completely forgotten how to take a photo. I don't know. I'm not one. I'm not one
within. Because I want to be candid and like, oh, I didn't know you were taking that. But then
meanwhile, I'm like, this is horrible. And I need to stare at you and put my hand on my hip. Die.
I'm like, I'm so boomer. I'm like still fake walking into the frame. I'll kill myself.
No, I'll kill myself. No, it's out of control. What am I doing?
Okay. Another fun fact. And this is a topper to a very exciting episode. And the way my life works
is like energetically, it is very aligned. There are no mistakes. There are no accidents. Everything
is always for the cause of something else. And I usually look back and there's just always a reason
that things happened or things were like, meant to form that way or come together that way.
I was working out with my trainer two weeks ago, whatever. I'm on the treadmill and randomly out
of nowhere, I had never spoken to her about guests on the show. I don't really talk to her that much
about the show. We kind of just make fun of me not being able to work out that well. And she was
like, you know, you should have on the show. I said, who? She goes, Hilary Duff.
And I said, what? And we were in the midst of like working out the details with Hilary's team.
Like we were trying to get everything going. She's doing a concert for Sirius. So they were
like, well, you should go on the show, blah, blah, all this stuff. And I said, that's so crazy. Like
we've been thinking about it. She goes, you know, I absolutely love her. I think she's such a role
model. And I'm so inspired by the fact that she's encouraging young women and men to start lifting
weights because she has that, I guess that campaign with ladder. And it was so wild because literally
a week later, they were like, Hilary's confirmed and you're going to talk to her. So it was just
like so meant to be. And when I tell you, I mean, Hilary Duff obviously has been our icon, our icon
and our queen for so long. I don't think, and I said this to her, but she's been so likable for so
long. Like we've never gone through an anti Hilary Duff phase. There's been no drama. Like she has
been consistently liked and sought after for her. I think she told me she'd been working since she
was 18 years old. She's been on fire for a long time. Okay. So I went to the El Rey theater. I met
Hilary. We chatted on, what did we chat? I don't even know what we were sitting on, like large
boxes, which I got to sit, uh, uh, applesauce crisscross applesauce, which was like my favorite
way to sit, uh, AKA daily pop days. I just hate sitting in a chair where I can't like have a leg
up. It's wild, but she's lovely. So fun. I really want her to like get that tour done with, so we
can like go, I won't give anything away because I'm going to like, obviously you guys are going to
fund plans that involve yachts, which I'll, I'll handle logistics. I just need Hilary to come and
like sing and no kids. I didn't tell her. I should have told her clearly, like, we're not, she's got
four of them. I've got two of them. I don't want to see him on the boat. I don't know. That might
be a hard ask with her. I know. I think she wants to, I know she, I mean, okay. I can't, we have to
move on from Hilary. You guys, you'll listen later because then what's going to happen is I'm going
to give away some things she said. And I was like, oh, okay. Um, okay guys, I'm obsessed with you.
I'm obsessed with these little catch-ups. I think I'm going to probably do catch-ups more in the
up and then we'll talk about pop culture stuff. We're really conceptualizing the show. Okay. So
I spoke about Hilary Duff without further ado. I'm so excited for you guys to listen. She is
our fucking queen, our fucking icon. Um, there's a break and then you get to listen. Okay. Bye.
So much fun. Bye. I want all of you to act like a live fucking audience.
Cause you're standing here. So I just want to say first and foremost, Hilary Duff,
welcome to the Morgan Stewart show. Thank you. I'm so, are we not clapping?
Hello. She was looking for more. We have a superstar icon. First of all, do you know
how beloved you are? Genuinely? I have a small idea. Like I have to tell you, I didn't think I
had an understanding of it for such a long time until this year. And I'm like, oh, weird. I want
to just let you know that I have a trainer that I work out with once a week and out of nowhere,
never spoken about you. She had no idea that this was like in the pipeline. She goes, you know who
you should really try to have on the podcast. I said, who? I go, okay,
let me just try to pull that out of my ass. That's not going to happen. And she goes,
I'm so inspired by her. And I'm so happy that she's encouraging women to lift weights.
Oh, that's so nice. And then she just manifested it for you. And a week later they were like,
well, she's confirmed. I was like, thank God. Okay. I want to talk about the album. Okay. I've
been listening to it with my five-year-old daughter every single day. I have a favorite song on the
I'm desperate to know what it is. What do you think it is? I don't know you well enough yet
to know. Throw out a guess. Feel it. Okay. Starts with an F. Future trippin'. Are you in my mind with
future trippin'? I'm like, maybe that's the only one with an F. I don't know. Well, I did give you
a big hit. I love them all, but future trippin' for me, first of all, just like the whole sound
of it, but the lyrics, the like inside my brain thinking about future problems. Talk to me about
that song. Okay. So this isn't actually, it's an, it's an interesting one because it started off
being like truly a picture inside my head of the things that I freak out about that like actually
ruins my husband's life for a little while, like microplastics. And like every once in a while,
he'll be like, where is our, and I'm like, it had to go like, you know, when it hits the pan,
then all of a sudden, like these things are really like, or just all the other things that like just
removed out of our household or like future fears that like aren't real or real, but like we have to
like live with them in a way and like manage them differently. And then I, we wrote this, the song
and it was called future tripping, but it was not about like a relationship. And then it came to me
later and I was like, we have to rewrite it and it has to be about, it has to be like a love song.
Okay. So it's not autobiographical, like autobiographical. I know the word, don't worry.
Like, so it, because I was, when I listened to the lyrics, I was like, this really resonates with me
I have children. And I feel like when you're in a committed relationship with somebody that you love,
you have kids with, you think about your relationship more as like, okay, are we getting
all these things in? Yeah. Right. Well, 100%. And it's really hard to talk about because I say,
you know, I speak on the topic and then all of a sudden someone's like pulled a little quote out
and they're like, he's clearly cheated on her. She wouldn't feel this way. And I'm like, no, no, no.
I'm just a female and I'm out of my mind. And I'll just like make up a story one day and be like,
but what if this happens? And he's like,
you're absolutely out of your mind. Like where, where does this come from? What are you talking
about? And then I get to write a song about it. So I love the song. The album is so good. I want
to know, I mean, I know that you wrote the album, recorded the album, produced the album with your
man. Yeah. How was that experience? Well, first I want to, it's a two-parter question. Get ready.
Why did you decide to write the album and how was that recording with him?
Oh my gosh. Well, recording with him is my favorite thing ever because he's just so easy and he's my
number one cheerleader and he, I know it's, it's just actually really that sweet. Like he's a good
egg he's the like he's been scoping shit out here I've been watching him I'm like he's on top of
he works so hard for me that guy where is he can we get away but yeah anyway he's been on top of
it he's probably hiding because I'm talking about him but um he's just the best and I you know I
literally woke up one day and I was like hey I want to make a record and he was like okay like
let me think about this and we're gonna do this and then we're gonna do it your way and
you're going to like guide the ship and no one like no one was involved in the beginning
really or like actually all the way through the entire process like until the album was done
it was so like homegrown and it was really nice to not have outside opinions but then also there
was no one like championing it except for us you guys like were in your own little like bubble doing
it yeah so are you like writing songs together you writing songs on your own like what's the
process like that so
we they kind of like come up more in conversation and then the tone is like set like oh I want to
talk about this thing and then usually he'll have like a track idea because that's his world and not
my world yep and in that world I'm like a very good A&R person where I'm like I hate that thing
what's that weird sound nope that should be like this but I can't like build it like he can from
and like dream it up from scratch right um so it's a really great partnership because then
I'm like oh this is making me feel this and then we start writing a song that kind of is in that
lane which also probably like kind of makes you guys deeper and closer because you're also talking
about things that you feel vulnerable about things that are in your mind that maybe you
wouldn't share with him day to day and the fact that you can do that successfully I think that
it has made our communication really good yeah um and just kind of erased the nerves around like
bringing something up with your partner you know and just like the days are going by and I'm like
you have like this like thing on your mind and bringing it up feels like it's going to like
create a bigger issue than you like have time to deal with yes I know that yes yes of course I know
that feeling uh-huh that this like I don't know if it's like just for kids and like the pace at
which our life is like moving at right now or something that we just don't have time to
be in a weird spot you know or if it was like making the record and having lots of
you know topics that maybe are sometimes a little like untouchable just be really out in the open
mm-hmm
um but god it was it was so easy making the record with him and it was so like healing to
talk about things that you know I've gone through and that scared me and that I haven't shared like
just because it was done in a way that is so me and felt so authentic to like how I process things
like even really heavy things I tend to somehow like bop along through my day even though it's
there and that the record feels very much like this pretty weighted there's a lot of you know
heavy-weighted topics in the record that you know sometimes are like dressed up with like
is that lorax thread or something you know what I mean that like feel a little sparkly
don't talk to me about a lorax thread are you kidding me that's like you talking dirty to me
really early in the interview yes that totally makes sense and like listening from start to
finish like I'm telling you I'm listening to it with my daughter and I feel like it's like it's
feels so you like I am basically in the car with you and you are singing these songs sitting next
to me I love that like it really so you should be really proud and really happy about what you put
out and I'm not kidding you're so loved people are freaking out that you're back like it's a
whole thing like I told a few people you're on the show they're like I do anything you can to
get a photo I want to tell you on that like I feel so lucky right now because I just never
I got to the place of like okay I can't compare myself to like my old successes and like whatever
this is I'm like I'm not gonna do it again I'm not gonna do it again I'm not gonna do it again
this album is is is and it's going to be for me and I know there's going to be a handful of people
that are going to fuck with it you know and like and that's all I had to keep in like the focus
you know and um and to see the response and to see people showing up for me because I did something
authentic like is the biggest biggest biggest reward like a hundred percent we used to Matt
and Matt and I when we would like sit and think about you know what the rollout was going to look
like or whatever he would always
be like you deserve this victory lap and it was like such a nice way to frame it I know but it
feels so much bigger than a victory lap now you know it feels like a whole damn field I don't know
what I don't know what to compare it to but like it feels energetically correct like correct I want
to talk about the tour starts June 21st don't say that out loud I know I how okay I had a follow-up
question but like how do you feel about that like are you excited I'm yeah I'm thrilled I think
there's a whole bunch of question marks for me yep
that as a mom I'm like oh my god I know it's like my family is obviously my like number one concern
and I've had to like compartmentalize a whole bunch of everything yeah it's everything yeah
it's so much I have two kids you have four kids I can't even imagine having to go on tour but you
know what this is what you're meant to be doing and don't you feel like your kids are always fine
no matter what yes and I think we have built a really strong community for our kids to like thrive
in and be safe with other people yeah and I love that you know I I have been working since I was
nine years old and like how like that is I know easy but it's like you can't just take something
like that away from someone like it's it's like a it's your show horse or something like a race
a race racehorse racehorse by the way I was like what is it I don't know but like to have that to
now be doing this like it truly is your destiny and nothing that is happening for you right now
would be happening if it wasn't supposed to be yeah so I feel like but I also feel like so
eternally grateful for my kids and my family that you know if this didn't work out I get to like go
home and shut the door and be like I'm also so fulfilled in this area of my life that you know
the fact that I I get to go and do this is like it is a dream come true and I feel like it's a dream come true
dream sequence yep you know but it's not like the real stuff that it doesn't fulfill you like it
does one part but like if it didn't work it would work out yeah I feel like okay I'm gonna go back
to like complaining about driving the kids too much but like love that and thrive doing that too
what is the schedule with the kids do they come with you sometimes will they stay home like how
what's the balance with that and I hate using the word balance I shouldn't say that but what's the
vibe figuring out the tour logistics oh tell me about it talk to me about that the worst week of
waiting for your baby to come no like it was so bad is waiting worse or pushing one out worse
I weirdly no don't tell me it was easy oh no it wasn't okay okay but I weirdly like birth so I
which part of it um I think the part where you like get the baby simba and you're like
I was blacking out at that point you were yeah wasn't that I felt like it was very
challenging not challenging but like I mean it's horrible it's also hard work I did it two times
and like the second time I was like oh my god I'm gonna die I'm gonna die I'm gonna die I'm gonna die
like oh he's not out yet is this done yeah yeah and then they're like no you've got to get the
shoulders out and you're like the shoulders are bigger than the head what how did we get here I
feel like we're roasting chicken now I don't even know I don't know how we got here I don't know how
to get back I don't even know what the question logistics yes so that was stressful horrible
because I'm like one my kids are so excited they're so mad they're not here tonight and I'm like you're
gonna see so many shows of the summer you're going to not want to watch them anymore you're gonna be
watching a movie on the bus like I'm not going to the venue today like I just want to you know make
sure that they have the tolerance for it but they're so excited and I think there's no time
that we would ever go on tour across America we would always choose other locations to go
vacation yep so we are going to be on a bus which is scary because there's like no storage on a bus
and I have that many kids but I also have a teenager who's like I'm not spending my summer
on the bus so I'm gonna miss him and he's gonna like fly in and out and I'm gonna miss him and
out and then the littles are gonna be with me for the most part but it was it's a it's like a whole
it's a traveling circus yeah I think it's gonna be fantastic I'm sending you good vibes I'm also
um we have some rapid fire but also I just my audience gets mad at me when I bring this up but
you are a Libra yeah sorry guys I'm doing it one more time they don't like horoscope no I talk
about it a lot which I should be able to talk about other things but for some reason I just
like love to do it I'm here for that you're a Libra yeah you're married to a Gemini yes stay
my gosh okay how is it for you it's we're soulmates right and did you guys get back
together that was one thing I read did you date twice wait what do you okay broke up got back
together broke broke up got back together and then got married got back together we're like
we should have a baby which is psycho no I love it I love it psycho like three weeks later I think
I was pregnant with banks that can I tell you my husband and I were dating when I was 21 years old
for a year we broke up for 10 years almost got back together what got back together and literally
and I was like we should have a baby and we had a baby and then we had a baby right after and did
you are you you're married yeah oh when did you get married when was that five years ago after
the baby oh yeah yeah pregnant you were pregnant scandalous and you got married I got married
pregnant okay okay we had the baby got married which was actually so fun she walked me down the
aisle like she was like I know it was really really fun and cute and like Luca walked Matt down the
aisle which was I would recommend it to people it's the honestly if you're in a place with a
lot of women who care about the logistics and you want to just have their baby that's the best place
to be right yeah I agree but 10 years is crazy it was real it's a big break it was a lot and I when
I say like we had nothing to do with each other
other nothing did you how long were you guys broken up for okay the first time I feel like
maybe he would be like no that's not correct but he remembers things a little bit better than I do
by the way that's yeah um I feel like maybe we were broken up for like a year and then the second
time we were broken up for like six months so not that long not that long talking and we just
know but like weirdly he would like words with friends me or something I know that's so
intellectual wait words with friends I know he's a writer right yeah he'd always kick my ass too
which was so annoying well he's a Gemini well now when we play uh not wordle what's it called
boggle okay I'm the worst at games what is boggle okay so when we like shake up the the the dice
that have like the letters on it and then you try to make as many words as you can it's really nerdy
isn't that another game too when we were growing up trouble trouble okay troubles when we pop it
and that's more of like a board game where you like go like this but like boggle is very similar
because you
it's like in the little dome okay I like the dome but I get to have like a whole second like 30
second head start on him because he's so good with words and I was we were getting in so many
fights that now it just like goes without saying I get to start 30 seconds before him oh my god
okay and then he usually still beats me he's still I would not win boggle wordle trouble any of it
okay wait you don't play you don't do any of the the things I'm not modging I'm not can do you
know how to play yeah okay well if you weren't going on tour I would make you teach me is it
does it involve a lot it's horrible and I got a coach I know you said 20 minutes where are we because
we have to talk about mahjong you got a coach yeah her name's Beth she's the best shout out Beth who's
Beth she's my mahjong teacher so you're literally paying that so is it that difficult that you need
to coach yeah there's a lot of rules okay that's you can come we'll do a mahjong night no no she's
really good don't I I will be there okay can we do some rapid fire yes okay wine or tequila wine
okay red or white wine I never care too much orange wine okay I say it in the song you do okay
but that's because it's about my friend who has an orange wine company so every time she comes over
she brings a bottle of and I like it she's a little too funky like orange wines are like for
the cool girl and I'm like give me that crispy sauvignon blanc sans serre I want to be like a
six-year-old woman on a yacht like listening to yacht rock with my cold glass of white basic
bitch wine cancel the tour we're going on the yacht I'm not doing it I'm not doing it with you
what is one thing you regret spending money on oh la boo boo's why did you do that you should have
known me before I would have never let you spend money on that first on the little boo boo train I
hate those things so what are you doing with them now do you sell them throw them out into the crowd
no because then I'm associated no no you're okay also we have to talk about the Olsen's after these
okay I forgot about that okay what is what is the last thing you liked on social media I feel like
you don't remember that do you oh I totally remember that oh what is it yeah it was it's
boulder's house in British Columbia she just I don't know I felt like interior design I know I
know it happened today on my way here and that was the last time I opened Instagram it's like
it's all interior design home architecture okay is that a passion of yours yeah I mean it's more
of like an obsession kind of dreaming into the future kind of thing did you design your own house
yourself I did I've like remodeled my house three times that's very stressful I'm about to start that
up it's not easy no it sucks it sucks did you have to do just double the budget and double the time
did you hear that okay you're gonna go over budget triple the budget she said triple the Hillary does
a triple the budget if you piss her off I'm done okay okay what is your favorite holiday
destination this is so corny but anywhere anywhere that my kids are like anywhere we go with family
like I love Hawaii so much but we also went to Disney World and it was not as fancy but it was so
that answer is that I believe you. Yeah. No, it's the best. If I said that, you'd be like,
no, that's not true. For me, it's the yacht, which we're going on. Okay. I've never been on
a yacht before. Hilary Duff, what's happening? No, I know. You need to be on a yacht. You have
literally, you are the yacht girl. Okay. I said when I'm 60. No, we can do it now. I'm out here
grinding right now, girl. You're about to be on this stage. I know, I know. By the way, that freaks
me out a little that you're about to be up here and there's going to be people everywhere staring.
I would. Really? That's crazy. I'm afraid that it's such a baby stage. I'm going to be taking
like little mouse steps up there. Oh, I thought it was big and I like the color. And I like the
drum set. I think it looks really good. Thanks. The HD. Yeah. It's cute. The disco ball's my
favorite part. Oh, it's, did you put that there or was that there? Oh yeah. No, we bring her
everywhere. Oh, there's budget. Okay. I like it. I like it. Um, okay. What is the most used app on
your phone? Instagram. Over TikTok? Yes. Okay. How old are you?
Old enough. Oh, okay. But the fact that she asked. We're the same age. Oh, we're the same age. So
you, you transferred over to TikTok? I'm kind of into the TikTok. I like it to scroll more.
Okay. But do you post more on Insta? Yes. So I just, I, my, my brain can't like handle it. Figure
out TikTok. And I like being behind. I will literally text Matt and I'll be like, there's
a huge storm coming. Like the worst we've had in 10 years. And he's like, that's from three years
ago. No.
Ah, it's nice to be here. So you're okay. But wait, so no TikTok at all. I feel like. No, I do.
I do. But like. Not the trends. I'll do it for like a recipe or like. Oh, wow. Do you cook? Yeah.
Are you going to cook on tour? No, I don't have a kit. I walked onto the bus and I was like,
where's the kitchen? There's no kitchen in here. Oh my God. Can I get like a little hot plate
skillet thing? I don't know. I, I got into hair and makeup today and I was showing off my manicure
and then there was like sourdough starter, like crusted in the side of my nail. And I was like,
oh, so you flicked it off. You didn't eat it. No, I wouldn't have either. That's disgusting.
I would have. I just want everyone to know that. Okay. So I just want to say thank you. This was,
I'm so excited for you. I really do hope you take the time to center yourself before you go on stage
and realize how many people love you. Because I'm not just saying that people are fucking obsessed
with you. They love the music. They are so excited to go on the tour with you. And I'm excited that
we're going on a yacht together soon. And playing Mahjong. And playing. While drinking
crispy white wine. Crispy white wine or anything. Are you a tequila? You're a tequila person? I'll
take it all back with you. Yeah. Really? Do you know tequila? No, I will. I will. Tequila wine. I
mean, yeah. Do you have a drink before you go on stage? Yeah. Sometimes I have like a, like a glass
of wine. I almost had one before this day. You did? Yeah. I was like, am I going to be nervous?
But then I was like, no, we're like going to be fine. I also have like a glass of wine or two.
Every day? Mostly. Yeah. Yeah. Good. Well, I've just like, I get home and I'm like, am I going to
be a bitch? Or am I going to like take the edge off? Like after fighting the world all day? Like
I've got bath time. I've got to cook dinner. I've got to put you all to bed. Like I want like a
cute little glass of red. Absolutely. To go along with this. Bath time. Bath time is trauma. Okay.
Bath time's insane. I'm like sit the fuck down. Also my bathroom smells like lush and I'm so
tired of it. Lush? Do we need to switch that out? No. This was the most fun I've had. I love it.
I appreciate it so much. Thank you so much.
Seriously, this was amazing. It's like, oh. Oh, we got the clap at the end.

FAQs
Morgan was bumped from her studio because Sebastian Maniscalco, who was recording next door, had to use her studio due to a scheduling conflict. Instead of being upset, she found a serendipitous moment by joining his live show, where he was kind and shared stories about attending a Ronda Rousey fight.
She is hosting a sophisticated, low-pressure sit-down dinner for 22 people in her backyard, featuring curated table settings, candles, and a mix of upbeat and chill music. She’s also avoiding loud party vibes and plans to wear a homemade outfit made from items she hasn’t worn before.
She realized overbuying clothes had created decision fatigue and made it harder to find what she wanted to wear. Now, she’s focusing on dressing authentically and only wearing outfits she’s confident in, delaying decisions until the day of her birthday.
Chris Jenner sent Morgan a thoughtful, personalized message after seeing a clip of her on the show, praising her look. The gesture was meaningful because Chris took time to reach out, not just to see the clip, but to personally acknowledge and compliment Morgan’s style.
She’s trying to stay off her phone for an hour before bed and upon waking, to reduce disorganization. She’s also practicing positive self-talk, focusing on her worth and celebrating her achievements rather than dwelling on appearance or self-doubt.
She has started loving her gym routine, especially walking on the treadmill daily. She notes that the physical activity has improved her mood and energy, and she’s now focusing on consistency over intensity, even though early workouts were challenging.
