Everybody Out of the Pool!

The show delivers a satirical yet incisive look at current events, media, and politics. It opens with a major controversy over President Trump banning key media outlets from White House access, prompting widespread criticism and legal action, with networks citing First Amendment rights. The segment highlights the absurdity of the ban through surreal on-air moments, such as a silent Trump event. The discussion expands to include allegations of political corruption, like a $200,000 payment to a staffer to block an ethics complaint, which both parties dispute. Meanwhile, Paramount’s major merger with Warner Bros. Discovery is settled, with commitments to boost domestic film production. The program also explores AI’s growing role in daily life, from financial advice to recipe generation, while raising ethical questions. A lively rant wheel features hosts debating pop culture, airport chaos, and media bias, including criticism of reality TV and celebrity culture. The episode underscores the tension between free speech and manipulation in media, while celebrating underrepresented voices. Throughout, the show weaves humor, satire, and social commentary, featuring guest appearances and promotional tie-ins with brands like Zazzle, HIMS, and Willie’s. Ultimately, it reflects on the complex, often chaotic landscape of modern media and public discourse.

Welcome to Love It or Leave It, live from Hollywood. I'm John Lovett, and let's get into it. What a week. On Friday, President Trump announced in a Truth Social post that reporters from CNN, Politico, and MSNOW would be barred from the White House. Responded CNN and Politico, I hope Trump gets MSNOW. Wrote Trump, media outlets shouldn't be able to constantly write or report fiction and lies when they're covering the President of the United States. Other fake news media outlets to follow. First, they came for CNN, Politico, and MSNOW. And everybody spoke up because Trump actually said from the start he was going to come after others next. That dumb bitch. Journalists from the three banned outlets were denied access to the White House grounds on Saturday morning. You too, said Don Jr., pacing outside the gates. And then the reporters all went to brunch together and strolled through a farmer's market and picked up a few of the last summer tomatoes. Went home and had sex with their spouses in the middle of the afternoon. And it was the best Saturday of their adult lives. But that's not the point. The three outlets are suing over the ban, calling it a blatant violation of the First Amendment. And the other major television networks said they would, in solidarity, suspend White House pool coverage. In the end, it's probably for the best that Trump stays away from pools anyhow, given how frequently he has diarrhea. The boycott led to surreal moments like this one on Newsmax when Trump held an event at the White House, but there was no audio. "There's no microphone because there's no microphone because the pool cameras aren't there so maybe Tim, this is one example of it backfiring just a little bit." Trump babbling inaudibly under a roaring mechanical hum while right-wing commentators look on in embarrassment. Is banning CNN the best thing he's ever done? Wouldn't you download some sort of an app on your browser that turns all of Trump's topics into news? J.D. Vance later went on Newsmax to insist that everyone was just being hysterical. I've heard a lot of people say that we've banned Politico. Politico will still write their crazy articles, they will still misrepresent what we say and do. What's different is that they don't have an office in the White House anymore. It's not a ban, it's the refusal to grant special access to people who are engaged in dishonest reporting. Yeah man, you should probably talk to all these idiots who are saying it's a ban. Now, according to a complaint filed with the House Ethics Committee, rendezvous took place in the office of one of the staffers, in a campaign vehicle, and in hotel rooms at the campaign's expense. Boebert is alleged to have paid one of the three, her district director, $200,000 to stop her from filing an ethics complaint. And it seems we know about that alleged payment because it was included in an ethics complaint, which I assume is what happens when you allegedly have sex with three staffers and only pay off one of them. Now, a spokesperson for Boebert has called the allegations baseless, utterly false, and nothing more than a politically motivated stunt designed to manipulate the ethics process, create headlines, smear her, and generate clickbait. Though it was hard to understand the spokesperson with Boebert's boob in her mouth. Continue the spokesperson, these smears must stop, as she tried to dab at the spot with a paper towel. To be clear, to be clear, the district director has herself denied the allegations, calling them entirely false and defamatory. Though it was hard to hear her with Boebert's other boob in her mouth. It was a gross press conference. Just as a reminder, this was Lauren Boebert back in April. Yeah, go to church, find Jesus. Like, I mean, why is everybody so horny here? So that's what they meant by the second coming. I don't even know what that meant. And finally, Paramount has reached a deal to settle the antitrust lawsuit filed by California and other states over its $111 billion acquisition of Warner Brothers Discovery, clearing the last obstacle to the mega merger. We did it, father and son, said Larry and David Ellison, hugging as Don Jr. accidentally crushed a glass in his hand. Through a consent decree, Paramount agreed to release at least 30 films a year in theaters and to increase film and television production in the U.S. by a minimum of $1.5 billion, more if states like California ramp up production tax credits. We are so back, said Tom Cruise, getting ready to film the Mission Impossible movie where we get to see him actually die. Fine. While many continue to worry about one pro-Trump family controlling two of the biggest streaming networks, and two of the biggest streaming networks, and two of the biggest news networks, I, for one, can't wait for HBO's new fall lineup. Shows like The White Nationalist Lotus, Fart Left, a J.D. Vance stand-up special, Hacks, but with men, Sex and the City, but with men, Girls, but with boys, Curb Your Immigration, Harry Potter and the Return of White Snape, The Pit, Oops! All Measles, and Real Time with Bill Maher. All right, we've got. We've got a great show for you tonight, and we'll be right back. Hey, don't go anywhere. Now, there has been so much doom and gloom around AI recently, so I wanted to give the tech community a chance to discuss all the incredible things artificial intelligence can do to help us do that. Please welcome to the Love It or Leave It stage, Angela Mortimer, spokesperson for Quandary AI. Hi, hello. Hi, thank you so much for being here. Of course. I really appreciate it. Now, Angela, how's your week been going? Oh, God, how's my week been going? Wow, what the hell? What the fuck? What was the question? Oh, just, I was curious about your week because, you know, Trump put out a poll on True Social asking about renaming artificial intelligence and declared at the UN that we're going to call it super intelligence. Yeah. Do you think that might be the right name for it? Who cares? Honestly, we had an all-hands meeting today. I just came from it, and you would think, why would all the leads of all the different AI platforms be getting together in one room? Is it an emergency? Maybe. So, look, there's been a lot of hullabaloo about AI, and. Hullabaloo, that's a good word. Hullabaloo, that's a good word for it. Well. Ah! Now. So, I understand that Quandary AI is doing some interesting things to help people with sort of financial assistance. It's very smart to help them kind of do some of their tasks like a financial advisor, so I would upload my personal data. Sure, yes. You can do anything with AI. It can help you with your finances. That's a very cute idea. I love that. Okay. I'm like a little. I mean, you're from Quandary AI. I thought you were excited to talk about what this product would do. Of course, it's very convenient. You can do anything. You can ask it about your finances. You could say, hey, what should I do with all my money? Does money have any meaning now? You know, what does money mean? You know? Can we take it with us? Because that's where we're going. So. And again, like, I. I'm just sort of trying to understand why you work for Quandary AI, right? Yes. You're here and. Oh, my God. It seems like there's something bothering you. No, absolutely not. You know what? If I. I signed an NDA from the big meeting, okay? So I can't say it's an emergency, but I will say it's something so bad. And. I will say also, you know, but still use AI. Who cares? Ask it your questions. You know what actually could be funny? If we all go home and we ask it, what can I drink if I don't have water? Um, stuff like that. Or, um, you know, or what kind of convos can I be having with the people that I love to wrap things up spiritually? Well, look, it's. I know you're not allowed to talk about it, but it sounds like this was a pretty alarming meeting you just had. And again, I thought we were going to talk about how to use AI therapy to improve relationships. You know, I've been such a good girl my whole life. I went to school. I married a financially stable man. You know, I have never been with a woman. I've never been with a woman. If there's anyone here that would let me try that soon, that could be good. You know, I never even did drugs. Have you done drugs? Yeah. I heard heroin makes you feel like you're flying. Well, you don't want to do heroin because. Should we try that? I mean, it's so dangerous, like, because you can get really addicted to it and it can ruin. It could ruin the future. Imagine that. Hey. Worms of the angels. have you ever is it is this your camera here yeah if my daughters are watching this Sophia Olivia I love you hey do you ever ask AI what it can do with certain baking ingredients like you give it your baking ingredients and you're like for recipes because you can like say like oh I have almond flour and two eggs and like half a stick of butter what can I make so that's like a cool thing you can do with it yeah that's exactly right you can do that that's really fun thank you for saying that you can say this is what I have in my pantry what should I do what should I do what should I do so I'm again like they're getting increased there's a feeling I'm getting that you've seen something or heard something hey you work so hard do you have people you want to be spending time with well of course I mean but I have you know I have I have I have obligations let's get out of here trust me okay okay do you like crops uh yeah I like them yeah I like crops well I'm gonna tell you something after okay about crops and it's not good but for those of you who like crops I'm not saying say goodbye to crops but well I just here's the thing I thought that the big I thought look I'm a little bit drunk John I'm getting that I but I look I understand there's risks with AI but I thought they were working to make sure that AI would be aligned it would have our interest at heart is that not right of course it is like a big snake in a zoo and it's behind a cage and we're all very very busy and we're all very very busy and we're all very very safe and there's no crack in the cage and the snake isn't roaming around going up your skirt and biting you in the vagina that's not gonna happen Megan Olivia mommy loves you so so much could have done more and I should have done more is there anything you want people watching this to know that you haven't yet is there anything that you're ready to review about this I think I'm gay and I've never explored that isn't that funny it's like I wanted to make my parents proud I wanted to make every you know it's like what what am I supposed to do now I mean I could have some sort of sexual awakening how much time do we even have left for that do you know what I mean no I don't know what you mean I'm very scared what is it good what's happening is it is it loose is it is it doing something to hurt us what what no everything's fine and I and and and it can help with things like recipes yes it can help with recipes it can help with finances and it can help with therapy if you have any questions for it and you think you've invented a new math equation it will tell you to go to the white house and share it with them it's a very yes and kind of tool very fun very cool very cool very cool and you're gay I think I might be yeah and I have you know um 26 days to explore that did I say 26 days I'm sorry I'm a little drunk Angela Mortimer for Quandre I thank you so much thank you for having me and we'll be we'll be right back and we're back welcome to the show for the first time it's Lisa Gilroy thank you oh my god that woman that just left the stage tried to kiss me oh my gosh yeah she was going through it yeah she really was she smelled of booze oh yeah no she'd been but everyone on this show kind of does yeah that's sort of our thing here yeah uh it's always Tuesday somewhere what okay so uh one of your breakthroughs is that you've been drinking a lot of alcohol and you've been drinking a lot of booze you've been drinking a lot of booze you've been drinking a lot of booze you've been drinking a lot of booze you've been drinking a lot of booze you've been drinking a lot of booze you've been drinking a lot of booze you've been drinking a lot of booze you've been drinking a lot of booze how many seasons do you think they can get away with oh infinite do you know how like everyone's so gullible in the world and the casting director will find one man who's never been on the internet that's what they do oh to be that man you're also uh voicing a character on golden axe which is now out on paramount plus which we love and support the show is based on a video game and you play a ripped amazon warrior uh is that something yeah i think that that's me that's you uh what was the vibe it was so fun and i did her voice well i kind of like lied in my audition and i was like yeah this is a this is a comfortable range for me to be like down here all the time and then i would lose my voice seven minutes into every recording but you have to sound strong you try sounding strong i've never heard it from you hey now let's all go fight somebody pretty good yeah down here yeah down here yeah all right let's go uh go on let's ride our motorcycles to the war and then have sex with the the the strongest women good good stuff oh my god the girls are going wild they're throwing their bras on stage support me wow now the show is based on an old sega video game yes if they made a show based on the video game you played the most as a kid what would it be oh um i guess it would have to be i don't know if this really counts as video game but like um drowning people in the pool in sims yeah no that counts as a video game that's a hundred fires being negligent um doing the rosebud cheat code to get a bunch of money oh not my culture that's so funny i was more of an up up down down left right left right be a select star person for the boys yes for the boys for the girls but virgins us all yeah did you ever play roller coaster tycoon no do you think you're gonna go to comic-con to promote the warrior you're playing i would love to i bet you will you think so yeah i'm not gonna wear a bikini though so stop asking another game i play a lot of those crash bandicoot did you ever play that no i didn't play crash bandicoot but wow you have a kindred spirit there in the front row is freaking out let's talk after the show hey the reign of lisa gilroy continues because you're on uh brothers on apple tv plus yes uh where matthew mcconaughey and woody harrelson play brothers based on a rumor that they're brothers that's right do you think they're brothers in real life yeah i don't know because they haven't gotten the dna they should do that i know why won't they do you think we're siblings yeah we should check it out we should check it out because i feel like already we're kind of like mad at each other like we're siblings i wasn't but okay you're not getting that vibe like i'm the older cooler sister and you're kind of like always coming into my room and i want you dead i just think that's how people are with me hey can i see something quick uh-huh yeah they all say hey at the top so woody is the rare person that looks worse with hair oh you think so yeah he looks so good bald he does look good bald he's got that jaw yeah i think i would look so much worse bald have you ever tried it no so how do you know i think i know let's do it tonight look under your seats one lucky viewer has a razor would you allow it anything for the clip clicks right yeah no uh anything for yep that's right let's let's reenact the the saddest part of lame is hey woody harrelson and matthew mcconaughey they're both so famous yeah i bet they're weird yeah they are yeah i bet it makes them weird do you think enough people tell them no or do you think it's a lot of yeses when you're at that level i told them no a lot i was quite rude to them cool they let me improvise a lot and i was really i was kind of disrespectful and it was a thrill that's good um but no they're they're actually very cool and you know woody is like a true like no phone no shoes kind of like hippie fun guy that's cool yeah yeah i bet you yeah i feel like you get away with stuff because you're so funny oh because i went we i went to a table read which is it's a showbiz thing but you you were you were in a a table read for a movie i don't know if i should say what the movie is but whatever uh and it was the it was the cameron diaz stephen merchant movie oh yes uh which you're in yes and it's not out yet and i don't think anyone i don't know what we're allowed to say about it but it was very it exists i think it's been announced whatever we'll cut this if not but uh you stole that whole fucking table read no yes you won't take the compliment but you did i mean there's a lot of really funny people who were really funny but you played multiple people just cause well because they asked me to that's my thing they bring me in for a table read and i'll say like one sentence from every character but i'm always playing things that i can't play in real life they're like here you can be the old haunted 90 year old janitor of the cemetery and i'd love to do it in the table read but it never comes to a job for me but they should dress you up as that janitor thank you i agree what do you get typecast as um not someone that should be on television someone who's just on the edge of someone we think could be on television but no that's sort of been my my experience okay you get like one toe in and then the television boots you from the island yeah i like to say that i go i like to say that i'm often at don't no no no this is my show now come on who wants to shave this guy's head i was gonna say that i often find myself at at uh in conversations where it looks like i'm in the business but actually my i'm not that everyone else at the table is in the business i'm on the edge of the business right i could tell you're kind of on the edge of your seat as well yeah i feel yes but get comfy you belong you know this is your kind of weird house. Thank you, Lisa. Golden Axe is streaming now on Paramount Plus, which we love. And you can see Brothers right now on Apple TV Plus. Love It or Leave It is brought to you by Willie's Remedy. Yeah. So glad you're here. All right. You're hosting Keep It Together. Yeah. How has the show been since officially kicking off this new era? Well, I have to tell you, I will unfortunately talk about pop culture, whether or not it's being recorded. So it's sort of like, you know, I think Nina would as well, but we were literally just upstairs blabbing for like an hour. So it's just, it's unfair that we get to do this in front of people. I mean, I've been doing this for so long. It's just very natural. Even if I want to, people are going to grab me and be like, what do you think about so-and-so? So I might as well just put it on the platform. You know what I mean? You gotta monetize it. Yeah. That's the name of the game. If you're good at it, you better monetize it. In this day and age. Yeah. I didn't say I was good at it. I'm just going to. No, he's good at it. So we have new seasons of Traders. The cast for the U.S. and U.K. seasons were just announced. Who are you most excited about, Nina? I'm friends with some of these people. So I'm friends with Taylor Hale. I'm friends with Cynthia Bailey. So, I mean, you know, I'm rooting for everybody black. So, I mean, I'm just, I'm rooting for them. I want them to win. I think like Cynthia is going to, people see her as this very like nice, calm, but Cynthia is very strategic and she's been in this business since she was a teenager. Like she's, you don't do that by just being like a Passover, you know? And she's been through Nini. Like she, she went through those, you know, you went through the biggest one and you made it out unscathed. Not to just pick out a black woman, but Phaedra, Leslie, but it actually is. Well, season and I can't remember which guy it was Tom Van Tim there was a guy yeah and he tried to get one over on Phaedra and then all of a sudden like the lawyer turned on and I was like holy shit that was cool as hell yeah she just ripped him to pieces let me tell you something that is something you you as a black woman you got to learn how to read from childhood or you're not gonna make it in the neighborhood you got to know how to read somebody and that's something that you can turn on and off quickly and Phaedra doesn't really turn it off she just has lower versions of it but it ain't never off yeah it's sort of like the twit like I think some uh housewives have struggled because they think it's about the drama and then then there are housewives who kind of use the drama like a weapon at the key moments which I think is like a different thing I'm excited to see uh uh Bronwyn so I interviewed Bronwyn on Love It or Leave It and then we found out the next day that she and Todd were donezo she didn't give us that news and then I was on uh Watch What Happens with Bronwyn and then the next day they announced Traitors and it's like man she's gonna be good you didn't get the exclusives I just like to know what's going on yeah you want you wanted the exclusive I want to say something I didn't even I don't even yeah I guess I didn't tell me girl we were sitting right here yeah that's right next time you check her yeah that's right I was more personally hurt you like me breathing life into you I'm like you better tell her you stand up for yourself you tell the people don't talk to you like that don't talk to me this way I think something I love about the Traitors is it's such a fake skill set like everybody is amazing at the show for two seconds and then we all hate them and they're untalented the next so it's like like Kristen Chenoweth is going to be on the show and let me tell you something I believe in the sanctity of like actors and believing that they have a mystique and something will you know we'll never know their big secret why they're that talented or whatever something about a show like this strips that away and I have to tell you I feel bad for actors going on this show I don't I do not think they are in control of the edit and it will go poorly for them oh that's the best reason to watch yeah I'm excited well it's I feel like there's the the actors are good at the part of the show that is Traitors but Traitors is the game of mafia basically or Traitors yeah plus everything around it and all the kind of ways in which because it's a television show it doesn't actually follow the rules of the game the game the rules of the game are mediated through the fact that it is a television show which changes the character of how people play I was at a game night with a bunch of actors and comedians and I think I will I will just say can you name drop I'm going to oh please I'm like don't tell me that and don't tell me who and Whitney Cummings was in the mafia and it was I'm telling you sorry I I am telling you and I will uh anyone who was there that night remembers it was one of the most extraordinary performances I've ever seen afterwards people were genuinely afraid of her because she was in the mafia and she made it all the way through to the end it was it was an incredible display it was incredible can I tell you something bizarrely I was also at a game night where I I went thinking I could just be a competitive gay person and act out of control and you know the way a game night should be run and it was all actors all of them and I don't think this is disparaging to say but I remember watching actors play this game is bone chilling because they communicate in a way you know we do not there I remember uh Bryce Dallas Howard I was at a game night and I was like oh my god I'm going to be in the mafia I'm going to be in the mafia I'm going to be in the mafia I'm going to be in the mafia I'm going to be in the mafia and I don't want you to take that as an insult it's because I think you're so talented no you're supposed to be insulting when you accuse somebody of being in the mafia you're dirty you're weird and I don't want to look at you or whatever I feel like both y'all just wanted us to know who you was hanging out with at the moment I did not oh my god please give me a break I did I mean I did have mafia but it wasn't you know we didn't have nobody famous there I mean I was there and why even bother uh the times is rolling out their picks for the 100 best tv shows of the 21st century uh scandals at 100 and with shows like eastbound and down at 90 anthony bourdain's parts unknown at 64 rupaul's drag race at 61 uh what are your thoughts lewis well this was going to be my rant wheel thing so I'm going to rant now okay yes um here's the thing um uh uh so they're listing the 100 greatest tv shows the same way they listed the 100 greatest movies recently and everybody is submitting their top 10 ballots I am discouraged by the how few people I know are putting reality shows in their 10 best shows of the 21st century like I don't don't trust anybody who's only putting like Mad Men or like Breaking Bad or whatever that's propaganda like the best television of the past 25 years is Project Runway period like an imperious gay man telling you your hemline is askew that's why we do television what do you think did you finish a new season without spoiling oh I sure did yes great we are Law Roach devotees yeah oh I love gay people did you know this should be mean that's the whole point it was it was glorious to be it when when he was going after the show or even like being angry angry at the other judges. It felt like back in a, we felt like a time machine to an era where reality TV show, where the guests were really worried about the contest itself and less about how they were being seen on the show. It was more about like, he was really mad about what was unfolding and not thinking or caring about like how it would be perceived or caring more about the taste than the relationships in that little moment. And it was like, oh, thank God, people just having it out. It was awesome. And judging also has gotten so polite these days. But like when you're at home with your girlfriends or your friends and you're watching and you say, you talk the same shit. You're like, this looks ridiculous, but people are afraid to say that for fear of how they're going to look. But I think like in a competition, you're supposed to judge, you're supposed to kind of get a little snarky. That's what makes it interesting to me. Just say it to my face. I won't. Now, one of the, now part of what Keep It's about is an unfiltered take, no matter the consequences. Are you seeing any backlash to anything? You've said recently. Yeah, that's all we see. Are you suggesting there'd be like a good, good take more of that place? Yeah, I mean, I've been dealing with, I mean, I've been doing media for 20 years and I find that as an opinionated black woman, I'm criticized. I'll post a picture of the sunset. Somebody got something to say. Like, how dare you think the sunsets for you? So I've always dealt with that. I think like, you know, I, I don't mind criticism. I don't mind people in the comments. Like you sure you should have. What I don't like is threats. What I don't like is, you know, calling me, and, you know, like, I think like when it gets to that, like I go low, I go, I go low with you, babes. We can go, I don't, I'm not Michelle Obama at all. I'm whatever the opposite of that is. That's where I'm at. Michelle Obama. I'm going to go on your profile. I'm going to look and see what you got in your bio. Like I'm going, I'm going to drag you. So just, if you come in, just understand we going bar for bar, you know, we going bar for bar. So say what you want. I was blown away. I recently, I, I just, I'm just thinking, I got a ticket on you. I just think about what I do. And mostly what I do is sort of close my phone and say, but I was good on that. Wasn't I? I am surprised sometimes what sparks a bad reaction. Like I said, like, okay, we're all getting a little sick of the Nicole Kidman AMC ad. Like, I obviously don't need to see that anymore. Excuse me. It was like, I like said, and your grandmother's ugly. The way people respond. I didn't realize it was such a embedded cultural institution. Like people are still like laughing and high-fiving when it appears and stuff. Maybe it's a difference of how many movies we all see. But like, I simply, I can't do it anymore. Like. Nicole Kidman is on every screen we have. As I've said on the show, she's the most employed person in entertainment history. Like here's like Bob Hope, here's Nicole Kidman. You know what I'm saying? Nicole got jobs, but you know people did not take kindly to you wanting to take her bag away. All she has is bags. She's like a trick-or-treater. Yeah, oh, the, the objection is it's people want to make sure Nicole Kidman has a warm roof over her head. You know? They're looking out for her. We're still concerned about her and Tom. I mean, what was the plan? We're going to make one and that's it for fucking ever? Like they used to make them all the time. I want to see the pretzels dance again. Yes. It doesn't need to, I know they're worried about how they're going to follow up on the fucking Nicole. I'm sure it's a whole discussion. How do we replace this? What comes next? How about a fucking dancing, dancing bit of popcorn? Like the old days. I missed that. We haven't checked in on Raisinets in a decade. Yeah. Are they happy? Junior Mints? Yeah. Do they have something to say? I don't know. I'd like to hear from them. I liked when we get to like, remember when HBO let you go swooping through the city until you went into the physical H and the physical B and then the physical O? Yeah. That was great. Do something like that. I feel like it might get us on the back, on the right timeline. I'm here for it. Let's try it. You would swoop through and then the O would become TV. Right. Yes. Welcome to Larry Sanders. Yeah. Zoop, zoop, zoop, zoop, zoop, TV. Yes. But yeah, we, we, you know, surprisingly enough, you think pop culture, like you don't get a lot of trolls. You get a lot of trolls. Yeah. Do you think it's, yeah, I was called a, I'm being called as we speak, a, a, a fascist liberal Zionist and a self-hating Jew at the same time, which kind of means I think I'm doing okay. It evens itself out. Yeah. Also, I just feel like, like, well, I will say when it comes to like pop culture criticism and people, you know, not liking what you say, I feel like most of the insults towards me come down to, and you don't have lips. I'm like, girl, no one in my family has lips. That's what we do. Yeah. It's very playground. Yeah, right. That's my wheelhouse. I don't mind it. I don't ever duck smoke. I just put my phone down. We can work on this. I put my phone down and then I think, are they right? Well, now I'll be in the comments defending you. Oh, thanks. So you see me. I know I don't go in the comments. I never go in the comments. You never read them? No, no, I didn't say that. I don't, I of course read them. I, I, the, the thrill of the, the, both the, the meat, like the, the meanness and the night, the, the back and forth. It's intoxicating. Obviously it's terrible for us, spiritually terrible for us. Used to, there was a time when Frank Sinatra could drive through a plate glass. Window at a casino. Give somebody a hundred bucks. Nobody would talk about it. Which means it's time for game. We're calling the people have spoken. Oh, that's what I mean. Oh, okay. Oh, they got some graphics going right there. Did I do a great transition? No, it was fine. It was fine. You'll hear about it later in the comments. Yeah, for sure. Here's how it works. I'm going to re read a, a headline. It will either be a real or fake people magazine. Headline, which is my Bible. First up Channing Tatum was not behind the Instagram account, mocking ex Zoe Kravitz and Harry styles fan site proves. Oh, this is real. Oh yeah. And I want it to be real. I mean, I want him to have run this site. So I'm obsessed with this story. So it's not him, but how is that? Please. Shannon got a little lurk. Everybody lurks. Everybody lurks. Everybody lurks. You're following this page. So what? So if it's not him, how did they, what did they prove? You don't know who did it. It's someone close to Channing Tatum. It's a stranger who just followed Channing Tatum. What's going on? But Channing Tatum put together a hater account about Harry styles and Zoe Kravitz. It's as simple as that. Yeah. And we don't know if it's him or a friend of his, if it was me, it would have been one of my cousins. Like they would definitely do that for me. That's real love. Somebody who sets up an account to lurk for you. That's love. I'm not mad at it. What nice cousins you have. Oh, they ride for me. That's beautiful. Robert Pattinson reveals his lifelong, struggle with colorblindness in emotional Instagram posts. No, no way. Yeah, it's fake. I feel like eventually the struggle ends. It couldn't be lifelong. You know, it's like, oh, you know what? I can't see green. Some people have it even worse. There are people where it's just all brown. There's lots of shades of brown. Very Phoenix. I relate. Martha Stewart reveals which of her horses she would marry if he were a person. I'm going to say that's fake. I also am going to say that's fake. That's correct. Health officials seeking woman who was seen touching a rabid bat trying to put it in her bag. Oh, I think this is in 2026. This is true. I say yes. So just touching a rabid bat, trying to put it in her bag. I'm going to say yes, because it's such a specific action. Yeah, yeah, that's right. You got a woman gives birth in a KFC parking lot, gives baby boy a fitting fast food name. Oh, I could see this happening for sure. Well, also, the clickbait is good. Because I'm like, what's the name? Like, biscuit? What's it going to be? I'm going to say no. I'm going to say no. I'm going to say real. Nina's right, it's real. This is so specific. Yeah, I guess. And we'll tell you the name after the break. No, I'll tell you the name. I'll tell you the name. So it was just Cody, but they're calling him Colonel Cody. Oh, OK. I like that. Sure. This graphic is interesting. The baby in the KFC bucket. I'm just going to say that I got that right. Because Colonel Cody is not his name. You're right. OK. OK, fine. This is how he is. Travis Kelsey praises Taylor Swift's hot look from her Law & SVU cameo. There's not much she can't do. This sounds like something he would say. Totally. Yep, you got it. Shailene Woodley's stylist checks into Passage's Malibu after red carpet pile on. I might be responsible for this. I dragged her a little bit. I might have dragged her a little bit. Because you didn't like the look. No, I did not. No, she's probably lovely. But no, I did not like the look. I mean, it's not even fair to have called it a look. It's like she was a genie, but she only had $3 to make a genie outfit. They try. They try. That being said, I think this is fake. It is fake. Yeah, you got it. It is fake. It is fake. And finally, Melissa McCarthy reveals her take on JonBenet Ramsey case after playing her mom, quote, "I probably am not supposed to do this." I'm not supposed to say. Definitely real. Real. Yeah, that's real. We do this. Thank you, Louis and Nina. Check out Keep It on YouTube or wherever you get your podcasts, and we will be right back. They say a rolling stone gathers no moss, but how about a rolling wheel? Terrific. That's right. We've reached the part of the evening that is the rant wheel. We'll each have sixty seconds. Let's spin it and talk about whatever you want to talk about. Buckle the fuck up. Because guess what? When I'm at a party with your stupid ass and I'm talking to someone and you come into the conversation and I'm just trying to be polite and you enter and I say, oh, Megan, this is Lauren. And you guys already know each other. You don't need to go. Oh, nice to meet. You. We've never met before. What's your name again? Ha ha ha. You put on a little play to make me feel like an asshole because I didn't know that you two have known each other for 20 years. I don't find the joke funny. I don't find the joke respectful. I find it to be a punishing move that is made to me. Make me feel like the dog's breakfast on a Sunday morning just for being a lovely little party girl that knows her etiquette. So I would like to say to you next time that happens. Just gracious. Please say, oh, yes, I know, Lauren. We actually went to college together. Ha ha. There. It's over. Fuck you. Stop doing that. Or stop inviting me to your party, you horrible, horrible women. The rare use of the British aphorism dog's breakfast. You've made me feel absolutely as the dog's breakfast. Love that. Beautiful. All right, let's spin it again. Lewis, what would you like to rant about? OK, so we already talked about how The New York Times has this list of the 100 greatest TV shows or whatever. And always whenever there's a new list out about everything, people complain. This is rage bait. You mean me having passionate opinions about the arts? This is the only reason I'm alive. This is me being myself. Let me have this. OK, and I don't want to talk about all the other things you want to talk about because that's for his podcast, not mine. OK, back to the list. I don't trust anybody who doesn't put on their list of the greatest shows of this century. American Idol. American Idol is the greatest reality show of all time. And I'll tell you why. One, we gave Randy Jackson eight figures every single year to be like, I'm not sure that was good. Literally, he's never had a real opinion in his life. He makes 10 million dollars a year. Paula Abdul. Did she know she was on a show? So exciting to watch. Simon Cowell, the richest man alive, literally always wearing a Henley you could definitely get at H&M. Why did he choose that? Because he had like three sort of shaved hairs on his chest. Anyway, also, the singing was so good. I, to this day, throw out an occasional it's a no for me, dog. Yeah. And I just it's a beautiful way to say no to something. Just that's a no for me, dog. I just use a Randy Jackson phrase all the time. I also think more telling that and I'll say and I'm and I'm going to stop. Also, I think more telling that I know that I'm going to say is what your favorite American Idol winner is like, if you tell me your favorite winner was. I don't know. Taylor Hicks or something like I know something about your family background. That's so so here's the thing. Let's talk about Taylor Hicks, please. I feel like we were in at that moment a kind of collective reverie like because because was it is it Carrie Underwood who's second? Who's second? Catherine McPhee. Catherine McPhee is second that season, which in hindsight, insane. But in the moment, we were there was a part of it. There's like, look at how that guy's face is weird when he sings. Let's give it to him. Yeah. And we were all were like, no, we are going to love. We are going to love Taylor Hicks forever. Forever. He will be our guy. We're not going to stop listening. We're not going to move on. It's him forever. And obviously, three or four days after that season, he was gone. And Catherine McPhee remains. But I think that's a cool thing. It's like a tattoo. You know, it's like, why did we get why did we get that Taylor Hicks tattoo? I don't know. But we at the time, it was so cool to us. Yeah. Did you get a Taylor Hicks tattoo? Yeah. It's my whole back. Let's spin it again. OK, before you move forward in a relationship, I don't care if it's a friendship, a marriage, you're dating. Go to the fucking airport with this person because everybody's IQ drops like 30 points when they walk into the fucking doors of LAX. I don't know what it is. I don't know why you want to just walk in and stop and use your phone. Why not pull over to the side? I'm not sure why your whole family is taking up the whole fucking hallway while I'm trying to get to my gate. I'm not sure why you need to change the baby's diapers. Right here in the middle of the way. But you need to do it, right? Nobody knows how to say excuse me. They don't see you. They're rolling over your feet every time. And you got to know if that person does not have TSA pre-check, you got to drop them. You got to break up with them. Fuck meeting them at the gate. Leave them. Period. Because they don't have good judgment. You coming up here without pre-check? Are you OK? I can get you can get away with not having clear. But pre-check is a deal breaker. You need to understand if somebody can pack it in and pack it up and keep it moving. Because if you can't keep up, you can't keep me. Beautifully said. That's a yes for me, dog. I'm going to stop saying it. Starting now. Let's spin it again. I'm going to build on your airport rant. Something has now happened where there was this blissful time when there was just pre-check. And normal. And nobody had pre-check. If you had pre-check, life was good. Then they added clear. And so you got clear. Right? You said, I'll get clear in case it's a thing. And you get clear. And then clear was amazing. Pre-check was good. Regular nightmare. I don't know what's going on over there. So then you go. And then you would go through clear. And it would be amazing. Now you get to the airport. And there's standard pre-check, touchless ID, clear with pre-check, clear without pre-check. And it is now a crapshoot as to where I belong, which is the shortest line. And what sucks about going to the airport is nobody knows that I belong on the shortest line. And so there's no one. And I can't say, hey, where do I go? Like, I see where this is all going and where that's all going. Where do I go? Because I'm flying today. And that's the rant wheel. And we'll be right back with second thoughts. And we're back. Frank Sinatra once sang, regrets I have a few, but then again, too few to mention. But he's dead and we're alive. And so we have a list of all the things the producers believe I did wrong during this show. So let's discuss them now. In tonight's final segment, which we call Second Thoughts. I have a list of things that they believe I could have done better as a person. That they've collected during this episode. I opened the show with a joke about the president having MS. You just called the show The Joe. I did. I did. I did. Another error. I'm loving this. Let's see. I'm sorry about joking about people dying in plane crash. Again, but I'm not sorry enough to stop. I lost you on Tom Cruise, but that was all your fault. Let's see. Oh, yeah. You guys didn't like when I compared Rachel Maddow to the Ayatollah. I am also sorry for implying that Dolly Parton is in hell. What? It was like a little joke. What? Oh, no. She could have done more. At the same time, she kept her private life private. So we really don't know. Exactly. Exactly. Exactly. Such an important. Thank you. Let's see. Lisa, I regret that I tried to sound strong. And I regret being a guest on the show. I do start every question with, hey. And he got my ass. Do I have more? Oh, yeah. I let Nina make me too confident. That is actually my fault. What kind of sick, twisted mental games do we have now going back and forth with the people that produce this show? Why do you want me insecure and anxious all the time? Why is that good for you? I apologize to the staff. Don't apologize to them. Thoughts and prayers. I violated the NDA I signed before playing Mafia with Whitney Cummings. There was no NDA. The name dropping, I think, was a lot for me. I've got to say. But also, you didn't say whether you won the game or not. Well, that was. I got out. So all I remember, I definitely did not. I did not win. But I don't remember if I was in the Mafia or not. But I remember once I was out, everybody was just riveted by the performance that my friend, who shall remain nameless, was putting on. Meryl Streep? Let's just say her, let's call her, yeah. Rhyme her name. What? Who can remember? You know, Julia Bobberts. No, I'm sorry. That's not true. Great rhyming of the first name. She didn't want to play, she just wanted to hang. I wasn't at a party with Julia Roberts. That never happened. One day. Wait, what did you say about Tom Cruise earlier? Oh, just that he's going to die making whatever Mission Impossible movie he makes last. Oh, okay. I find fandom of Tom Cruise kind of annoying. He's only good when he's playing evil people. I love him in Magnolia, and I love him in Rain Man. Otherwise, he's boring to me. Thank you. Look at you. Look at you. Pearls before fucking swine. That man gives us everything that he has. And if. If Scientology makes someone that intense, committed, passionate, disciplined, and serious, get my hands on that fucking e-meter, because I'm in. I'm in. I don't even want to be up here while you're saying that. He's a gift to us. Well, he was a gift, but now we have High Rock, so now we can all do that. Do you know what I mean? And I have only one last regret, which is that's our show. Thank you so much to Lisa Gilroy, to Louis Rattel, and Nina Parker. There are 41. There are 41 days until the midterms. We'll be back Friday with MSNOW's Rachel Maddow, Michelle Collins, and Nimesh Patel. Thanks, everybody. Love It or Leave It is a Crooked Media production.
