The transcript features a satirical and critical examination of political media dynamics, centering on President Trump’s controversial ban on journalists from accessing the White House. This action, which drew backlash from major outlets, is portrayed as a subtle but significant form of censorship, undermining press freedom and sparking legal challenges. The segment highlights absurd and ironic outcomes, such as a silent event at the White House and a pool covered in algae, underscoring the administration’s mismanagement. It also critiques the promotion of a self-serving White House app and YouTube channel, suggesting a broader effort to control the public narrative. Additional content mocks political scandals, like allegations against Congressman Lauren Bober, and satirizes public discourse around artificial intelligence, with Trump proposing the term "super intelligence." The show blends political commentary with humor, using fictional or exaggerated scenarios to critique reality TV, media bias, and the role of satire in public discourse. Ultimately, it presents a comedic yet pointed critique of media manipulation, political overreach, and the evolving relationship between power, journalism, and public perception.
[MUSIC] Welcome to Loving a Leaven Live from Hollywood. I'm John Lovett, and let's get into it. What a week. [APPLAUSE] On Friday, President Trump announced in a truth social post that reporters from CNN, Politico, and MS now would be barred from the White House. Responded CNN and Politico, I hope Trump gets MS now. [LAUGHTER] [LAUGHTER] Road Trump media outlets shouldn't be able to constantly write or report fiction and lies when they're covering the president of the United States, other fake news media outlets to follow. First, they came for CNN, Politico, and MS now. And everybody spoke up because Trump actually said from the start, he was going to come after others next, that dumb bitch. [LAUGHTER] Journalists from the three band outlets were denied access to the White House grounds on Saturday morning. You two said, Don Jr., pacing outside the gates. And then the reporters all went to brunch together and strolled through a farmer's market and picked up a few of the last summer tomatoes when home and had sex with their spouses in the middle of the afternoon. It was the best Saturday of their adult lives. But that's not the point. The three outlets are suing over the band, calling it a blatant violation of the First Amendment. And the other major television network said they would, in solidarity, suspend White House pool coverage. In the end, it's probably for the best that Trump stays away from pools anyhow, given how frequently he has diarrhea. The boycott led to surreal moments like this one on Newsmax, when Trump held an event at the White House, but there was no audio. OK, so there is no microphone, because there's no microphone, because the pool cameras aren't there. So maybe Tim, this is one example of backfiring just a little bit. Trump babbling inaudibly under a roaring mechanical hum while right-wing commentators look on an embarrassment is banning CNN the best thing he's ever done. Wouldn't you download some sort of an app on your browser that turns all of Trump talking and just to the sounds of bees? JD Vance later went on Newsmax to insist that everyone was just being hysterical. I've heard a lot of people say that we've banned Politico. Politico will still write their crazy articles. They will still misrepresent what we say and do. What's different is that they don't have an office in the White House anymore. It's not a ban. It's the refusal to grant special access to people who are engaged and dishonest reporting. Yeah, man, you should probably talk to all these idiots who are saying it's a ban. Oh, the ban on the free press, right? A very simple ban. I don't want to be in my office. I don't want to be here. I would say the ban would go as far as you can. Here's Secretary of State Marco Rubio also trying to downplay the decision. We're not closing CNN. There aren't a bunch of police officers or soldiers kicking down the doors of MSNBC or MSNOW, whatever it's called, and arresting people, and I'm plugging it from the grid. Continued Rubio, and sure that was option A on the poster Natalie Harp printed for the boss. But he chose option B, and sure option C was romantic dinner for two with Natalie Harp, but that's always option C. Continued Rubio for real. They're just not allowed to work from the workspace at the White House. So there's nothing to worry about. They're not arresting anybody. They're just refusing journalists access to public property based on their viewpoints in order to tilt coverage toward the president, while hoping reporters think twice before being critical of Trump for fear of losing their ability to report from inside the White House grounds. So quit being a baby about it. It's not full authoritarian censorship. It's only the most that someone with an authoritarian mindset feels he can get away with right now. And sure, that's more than what he could do a few years ago. But look on the bright side, what he's trying to do today will seem quaint compared to what he tries a few years from now. To get their message out amid the boycott by TV networks, the Trump administration began promoting their own White House app. Does it have messaging? Does it let you talk to the president? Said Don Jr. frantically downloading me out. And then later on Monday, the White House announced that they were relaunching their YouTube channel as Trump TV. And this just in, the president's YouTube channel is covered in algae. Then, without the press pool, Trump headed to New York for the United Nations' 81st General Assembly. While in the big Apple Trump stop by Gracie Manchin to visit the city's beloved mayor, Zoran Mamdani. Here, you hold this glove, Zoran. And then right when my dad throws the ball, I'll run in, grab the glove, and catch it, said Don Jr. So we have Trump and Mamdani, a boomer who loves Netanyahu and a millennial who protested Israel at his liberal arts college, pretending to get along while everyone is watching. A classic, young Kapoor sighting if I've ever seen one. Mamdani was asked about Trump's press ban. I told the president that we're going to have all of the members of the press here on the lawn. And that is something that I believe in as everyone, no matter the opinion or the critique, that we engage. It's president. It's interesting because they said they were going to boycott me, but they never boycott me. So I wasn't very worried about that. Look at all that press. On the talk of the town, said King Kong, as he ripped the top of the Empire State Building off. Tuesday morning, Trump delivered his address to the UN General Assembly. On his way to the venue, he snapped at the reporter's gathering outside, including CNN's Caitlin Collins. You should not be here covering me. You said you weren't going to cover me. You shouldn't be covering me. Set the reflecting pool to the algae. During his remarks before the UN, Trump considered his options in Iran. Will a deal be made with Iran that lets them rebuild and create a far greater country than it ever was before? Maybe one of the greatest in the Middle East or even the world. Do I drive them into hell with no chance of survival and no hope of future greatness or generations? Where am I? Asked Iranian Revolutionary Guard Commander Amad Vahidi. Oh, this is hell, says Lindsey Graham, has Ravens peck at his eyes. It's not so bad. Adds Dolly Parton, who could have done more. It turns out. Really sorry. But I believe we'll make a deal. Right after the election. If it were me, I'd end the war before the election to try to win the election. It's almost as if he's making it up. But Trump also made this announcement about the term artificial intelligence. From this point forward, all of United States documents and hopefully the world will be changed to use the much more accurate term super as opposed to artificial. So it's super intelligence. In other words, welcome to the new world of super intelligence, dash Si, Si. Let's see if that goes. It sounds much better. It is much better. And it's much more accurate. Let's see if I have any power. Maybe I do, and maybe I don't. We're going to find out pretty soon. What are we supposed to do? It's also, who does this help? What does that fix? I'm calling it now. Super intelligence is the Republicans Latinx. Meanwhile, flights were grounded at multiple East Coast airports on Monday, including LaGuardia, JFK, and Newark after a radio communication system in Philadelphia. And it's back up, both failed. Sad. Tyler operator just stepped out to get a hoagie. And now he's in hot water. Honestly, that was the best version of it. Let's check in with Secretary of Transportation, Sean Duffy, who I assume is hard at work. Well, maybe we'll have a little dance in our human heart. And then cross one, two, three, four, three, four, three, four. Sad to think of all the people who are going to die in plane crashes without ever seeing Duffy's new reality show. There's never been a time in the history of this show where I joke about people dying in plane crashes, and it works. No matter that sometimes whatever I feel it deserves, no one's up for it. No one likes it. No one likes thinking about it. And I'm not going to learn. The plane crash jokes will continue until morale improves. Speaking of flaming out during a campaign event in North Carolina on Monday, Vice President JD Vance reminded us why he's known as the most charismatic man in politics. And because we need somebody who will fight back against the fart left, we need Michael Wattley in the United States Senate. Now, you may not have even heard that, but I actually-- I usually don't misspeak, but I just call them the fart left, not the fart left. I promise that was an accident. From now on, when there's stuff like that that makes me feel bad, I'm going to come back here. And now that you've seen this clip, you have seven days to play it for someone else. Or you die. [LAUGHTER] Anywho, in other news that I'll make you recoil, far-right Colorado Congressman Lauren Bobert has been accused of having affairs with three of her staffers, two of whom are women. But other than that, Ms. Bobert, how was the Beetlejuice musical? [LAUGHTER]
Now, according to a complaint filed with the House Ethics Committee, rendezvous is took place in the office of one of the staffers in a campaign vehicle and in hotel rooms at the campaign's expense. Bo Bird is alleged to have paid one of the three, her district director, $200,000, to stop her from filing an ethics complaint. And it seems we know about that alleged payment because it was included in an ethics complaint, which I assume is what happens when you allegedly have sex with three staffers and only pay off one of them. (audience laughing) Now, a spokesperson for Bo Bird has called the allegations baseless, utterly false, and nothing more than a politically motivated stunt designed to manipulate the ethics process, create headlines, smear her, and generate clickbait, though it was hard to understand the spokesperson with Bo Bird's boob in her mouth. (audience laughing) Continue the spokesperson, these smears must stop as she tried to dab at the spot with a paper towel. (audience laughing) To be clear, to be clear. The district director has herself deny the allegations calling them entirely false and defamatory, though it was hard to hear her with Bo Bird's other boob in her mouth. (audience laughing) It was a gross press conference. Just as a reminder, this was Lauren Bo Bird back in April. - Yeah, go to church, find Jesus. Like, I mean, why is everybody so horny here? (audience laughing) - So that's what they meant by the second coming. (audience laughing) I don't even know what that meant. (audience laughing) And finally, Paramount has reached a deal to settle the antitrust lawsuit filed by California and other states over its $111 billion acquisition of Warner Brothers Discovery, clearing the last obstacle to the mega-merger. We did it. Father and son said Larry and David Ellison, hugging his Don Jr. accidentally crushed a glass in his hand. (audience laughing) Through a consent degree, Paramount agreed to release at least 30 films a year in theaters and to increase film and television production in the US by a minimum of 1.5 billion dollars more of states like California ramp up production tax credits. We are so back, said Tom Cruise, getting ready to film the Mission Impossible movie where we get to see him actually die. (audience laughing) Fine. So I wanted to give the tech community a chance to discuss all the incredible things artificial intelligence can do. To help us do that, please welcome to the love it or leave it stage. Angela Mortimer, Spokesperson for quandary AI. Hi, hello. Hi, thank you so much for being here. Of course. I really appreciate it. Now, Angela, how's your week been going? Oh God, how's my week been going? Wow, what the hell, what the fuck? (audience laughing) Well, was the question? Oh, just, I was curious about your week because Trump put out a poll on true social asking about renaming artificial intelligence and declared at the UN that we're going to call it super intelligence. Do you think that might be the right name for it? Who cares? Honestly, we had an all hands meeting today. I just came from it and you would think, why would all the leads of all the different AI platforms be getting together in one room? Is it an emergency? Maybe. So look, there's been a lot of. There's been a lot of. Hullabaloo about AI. And. Hullabaloo, that's a good word for it. (laughing) Well, ah! Now. So, I understand that quandary AI is doing some interesting things to help people with sort of financial assistance. It's very smart to help them kind of do some of their tasks like a financial advisor. So I would upload my personal data. Sure, yes, you can do anything with AI. You can help you with your finances. That's a very cute idea. I love that. Okay, I'm like a little. I mean, you're from quandary AI. I thought you were excited to talk about what this product would do. Of course, it's very convenient. You can do anything. You can ask it about your finances. You could say, "Hey, what should I do with all my money?" Does money have any meaning now? You know, what does money mean? You know, can we take it with us? 'Cause that's where we're going. (audience laughing) So. And again, like I. I'm just sort of trying to understand. You work for quandary AI, right? Yes, oh my God. There seems like there's something bothering you. No, absolutely not. You know what, if I signed an NDA from the big meeting, okay? So I can't say it's an emergency, but I will say it's something so bad. And I will say also, you know, but still use AI, who cares? Ask it, your questions. And you know what, actually, could be funny. If we all go home and we ask it, what can I drink if I don't have water? (audience laughing) Stuff like that, or, you know, or what kind of combos can I be having with the people that I love to wrap things up spiritually? (audience laughing) Well, look, it's. I know you're not allowed to talk about it, but it sounds like this was a pretty alarming meeting you just had, and again, I thought we were gonna talk about how to use AI therapy to improve relationships. A good girl, my whole life. (audience laughing) I went to school, I married a financially stable man. You know, I have never been with a woman. (audience laughing) Never been with a woman. If there's anyone here that would let me try that soon, that could be good. You know, I never even did drugs. Have you done drugs? Yeah. I heard heroin makes you feel like you're flying. Well, you don't wanna do heroin because-- And try that? I mean, it's so dangerous because you can get really addicted to it and you can ruin, you can ruin it. The ruin the future, imagine that. (audience cheering) Keep it, don't mind if I do. Put your hands together for the host of Crooked Zone Keep It Podcast. It's Louis Vertell and Nina Parker. (audience cheering) Welcome. Thank you for having us. Yeah, I'm so glad you're here. All right, you're hosting Keep It Together. Yeah. How has the show been since officially kicking off this new era? Well, I have to tell you, I will unfortunately talk about pop culture whether or not it's being recorded. So it's sort of like, you know, I think Nina would as well. But we were literally just upstairs blabbing for like an hour. So it's just, it's unfair that we get to do this in front of people. I mean, I've been doing this for so long. It's just very natural. Even if I want to, people are gonna grab me and be like, "What do you think about so and so?" So I might as well just put it on the platform, you know what I mean? You got to monetize it. Yeah. That's the name of the game. If you could, I should better monetize it. Yeah, that's right. In this day and age. Yeah, I didn't say I was good at it. I'm just going to do it. No, he's good at it. Yeah, we're both good at it. So we have new seasons of traders that cast for the US and UK seasons were just announced. Who are you most excited about, Nina? I'm friends with some of these people. So I'm friends with Taylor Hale. I'm friends with Cynthia Bailey. So I mean, you know, I'll prove everybody black. So I mean, I'm just, I'm rooting for them. I want them to win. I think like Cynthia is gonna, people see her as this very like nice, calm, but Cynthia is very strategic and she's been in this business and she was a teenager. Like she's, you don't do that by just being like a Passover, you know? And she's been through Nini. Like she, she went through this, you know what I mean? You went through the biggest one and you made it out unscathed. Not to just pick out a black woman, but Fadre less, but it actually is, "Why not?" I will, it'd be wrong not to. But Fadre, Fadre was so good on that season and I can't remember which guy it was, Tom Van Tim. There was a guy. And he tried to get one over on Fadre and then almost something like the lawyer turned on. And I was like, holy shit. That was cool as hell. Yeah. She just ripped him to me. Oh, she's like, let me tell you something. That is something you as a black woman, you got to learn how to read from childhood. Or you're not gonna make it in a neighborhood. You got to know how to read somebody and that's something that you can turn on and off quickly and Fadre doesn't really turn it off. She just has lower versions of it, but it ain't ever off. Yeah, it's sort of like the twit, like, I think some housewives have struggled because they think it's about the drama. And then there were housewives who kind of used the drama like a weapon at the key moments, which I think is like a different thing. I'm excited to see Bronwyn. So I interviewed Bronwyn, I love it or leave it. And then we found out the next day that she and Todd were done so, she didn't give us that news. And then I was on, watch what happens with Bronwyn and then the next day they announced traders. And it's like, man, she's gonna be good. Were you mad you didn't get the exclusives? I just like to know what's going on. Yeah, you wanted the exclusive. I would say something. I didn't even, I don't even, yeah, I guess I did. Why didn't you tell me, girl, what's with my tears? Yeah, that's right. Next time you check her. Yeah, that's right. I was more personally heard. You like me breathing life and see, I'm like, you better tell her, you stand up for your sale. You tell it to people, don't talk to you like that. Don't talk to me this way. I think something I love about the traders is such a fake skill set. Like, everybody is amazing at the show for two seconds and then we all hate them and they're untalented the next. So it's like, like, Kristen Chinoweth is gonna be on the show. And let me tell you something. I believe in the sanctity of actors and believing that they have a mystique and something will, you know, we'll never know their big secret. Why they're that talented or ever? Something about a show like this strips that away and I have to tell you, I feel bad for actors going on this show. I do not think they are in control of the edit and it will go poorly for them. Oh, that's the best reason to watch. I'm excited. Well, I feel like the actors are good at the part of the show that is traders, but traders is the game of mafia, basically, or traders plus everything around it and all the kind of ways in which, because it's a television show, it doesn't actually follow the rules of the game. The rules of the game are mediated through the fact that it is a television show which changes the character of how people play. I was at a game night with a bunch of actors and comedians. And I think I will just say-- Can you name drop? I'm going to. Oh, please. I'm like, don't tell me that and don't tell me who. And Whitney Cummings was in the mafia and it was-- I am telling you-- Sorry. I am telling you and I will-- anyone who was there that night remembers. It was one of the most extraordinary performances I've ever seen. Afterwards, people were genuinely afraid of her because she was in the mafia and she made it all the way to the end. It was an incredible display. It was incredible. Can I tell you something? Bizarrely, I was also at a game night where I went thinking I could just be a competitive gay person and act out of control and the way a game night should be run. And it was all actors, all of them. And I don't think this is disparaging to say. But I remember watching actors play this game is bone-chilling because they communicate in a way we do not. I remember Bryce Dallas Howard said to Kristen Bell, I need to tell you, I think you're in the mafia. And I don't want you to take that as an insult. It's because I think you're so talented. No. You're supposed to be insulting when you accuse somebody of being in the mafia. You're dirty, you're weird. And I don't want to look at you or whatever. Both of you, I just wanted us to know you was hanging out with it at the market. I did not. Oh my god. I did. Please give me a break. I did want to know. I mean, I didn't have mafia, but it was that we didn't have nobody famous there. I mean, I was there. And why even bother? The Times is rolling out their picks for the 100 best TV shows of the 21st century. Scandals at 100. And with shows like Eastman and down at 90. Anthony Bourdain's parts are known at 64. RuPaul's Drag Race at 61. What are your thoughts, Lewis? Well, this was going to be my rap wheel thing. So I'm going to be saved now. OK. Yes. Here's the thing. So the list in the 100 greatest TV shows, the same way they listed the 100 greatest movies recently, and everybody is submitting their top 10 ballots. I am discouraged by the how few people I know are putting reality shows and their 10 best shows of the 21st century. Don't trust anybody who's only putting madmen or breaking bad or whatever. That's propaganda. Like the best television of the past 25 years is Project Runway, period. And a period is gay and man telling you your hamline is a skew. That's why we do television. [LAUGHTER] What did you finish the new season without-- Oh, I sure did. Yes. That's great. No, we are law-roached devotees. Yeah. Oh. Yeah. Oh, I love-- Gay people, did you know this should be mean? That's the whole point. It was glorious to be when he was going after the show, or even being angry.
angry at the other judges, it felt like back in a, we felt like a time machine to an era where reality TV show where the guests were really worried about the contest itself and less about how they were being seen on the show. It was more about like, he was really mad about what was unfolding and not thinking or caring about like how it would be perceived or caring more about the taste than the relationships in that little moment. And it was like, oh, thank God, people just haven't it out, it was awesome. - And judging also has gotten so polite these days, but like when you're at home with your girlfriends or your friends and you're watching you say that you talk the same shit. You know what I mean? You said like this looks ridiculous, but people are afraid to say that for fear of how they're going to look. But I think like in a competition you're supposed to judge, you're supposed to kind of get a little snarky. That's what makes it interesting to me, to say it to my face. - I won't. Now one of the, now part of what keep it's about is an unfiltered take no matter the consequences. Are you seeing any backlash to anything you've said recently? - Yeah. - That's right, that's always here. Are you suggesting there'd be like good take, more of that? - Yeah. - I mean, I've been doing media for 20 years and I find that as an opinionated black woman, I'm criticized, I'll post a picture of the sense is, I've got something to say. Like how dare you think the sun sets for you? So I've always dealt with that. I think like, you know, I don't mind criticism. I don't mind people in the comments. Like, you sure you should have what I don't like is threats. What I don't like is, you know, calling me names. And, you know, like, I think like when it gets to that, like, I go low. I go, I go low with you babes. We can, I'm not Michelle Obama at all. I'm whatever the opposite of that is. That's where I'm at. - Michelle Obama. - I'm gonna go on your profile. I'm gonna look and see what you got in your bio. Like, I'm a drag you. So just, if you come in and just understand, we go on bar for bar, you know? We go on bar for bar. So say what you want. - I was blowing away, I recently, I- - You okay? - I just think. - I gotta stick it on you. - I just think about what I do. And mostly what I do is sort of close my phone and say, but I was good on that, wasn't I? (laughing) - I am surprised at the time what sparks a bad reaction. Like, I said, like, okay, we're all getting a little sick of the Nicole Kidman AMC ad. Like, obviously don't need to see that anymore. Excuse me. It was like, I said, and your grandmother's ugly. The way people respond, I didn't realize, it was such a embedded cultural institution. Like, people are still like laughing and high-fiving when it appears and stuff. Maybe it's a difference of how many movies we all see, but like, I simply, I can't do it anymore. Like, Nicole Kidman is on every screen we have. As I've said on the show, she's the most employed person in entertainment history. Like, here's like Bob Hope, here's Nicole Kidman. You know what I'm saying? - Oh, God job. But you know, people did not take kindly to you want to take her back? - Well, she has his bags. (laughing) She's like a trick-or-treater. - I'm saying, yeah, the objection is it's people want to make sure Nicole Kidman has a warm roof over her head, you know. (laughing) Looking out for her, we're still concerned about her. - I mean, what was the plan? We're gonna make one and that's it for fucking ever. Like, they used to make them all the time. I wanna see the pretzels dance again. - Yes. - It doesn't need to, I know they're worried about how they're gonna follow up on the fucking Nicole. I'm sure it's a whole discussion. How do we replace this? What comes next? How about a fucking dancing bit of popcorn? Like, the old days? - No, I missed that. - We haven't checked in on Raisa Nets in a decade. - Yeah. - Are they happy? - Junior Mints? - Yeah. - Do they have anything to say? - I don't know, I'd like to hear from them. - I liked when we get to, like remember when HBO let you go swooping through the city until you went into the physical age and the physical being and the physical O? - Yeah. - That was great. Do something like that. - I feel like it might get us on the right timeline. I'm here for it. Let's try it. - You would swoop through and then the O would become TV. - Right. - Yes. - Welcome to Larry Sanders. - Yeah. - Zoop, zoop, zoop, zoop, TV. - But yeah, we, you know, surprisingly enough, you think pop culture like you don't get a lot of trolls, you get a lot of trolls. - Yeah. - Do you think it's, yeah, I was called a, I mean called as we speak a fascist liberal Zionist and a self-hating Jew. - Oh. - At the same time, which kind of means I think I'm doing okay. - It evens itself out. - Yeah. Also, I just feel like, well, I will say when it comes to like pop culture criticism and people, you know, not liking what you say. I feel like most of the insults towards me come down to and you don't have lips. I'm like girl, no one in my family have lips. That's what we do. - Yeah. - It's very playground. - Yeah. - But that's my wheelhouse. I don't mind it. I don't ever duck smoke. - I just put my phone down. (laughing) - We come back on this. - I put my phone down and then I think, are they right? (laughing) - Well, now I'll be in the comments defending you. - Oh, thanks. - So you see me? - I know, I don't go in the comments. I never go in the comments. - You never read them? - No, no, I didn't say that. (laughing) I, of course, read them. I, the thrill of the, both the, like the, the meanness and the night, the back and forth, it's intoxicating. Obviously, it's terrible for us, spiritually terrible for us. Used, there was a time when Frank Sinatra could drive through a plate glass window to Casino, give somebody a hundred bucks. Nobody would talk about it. (laughing) Which means, it's time for a game. We're calling the people have spoken. (bell dings) That's what it means. - That's a good, oh, okay. - Oh, they got some graphics going. - This is a graphics game. - Right there. - Did I do a great transition? - No. - It was fine, it was fine. You'll hear about it later in the comments. - Yeah, for sure, here's how it works. I'm gonna read a, a headline. It will either be a real or fake people magazine headline. - Which is my Bible. - First up, Channing Tatum was not behind the Instagram account mocking exoicravids and Harry Styles, fan site proofs. - Oh, this is real. - Oh, yeah. And I want it to be real, I mean, I want him to have run this site so desperately. - Oh my God. - I'm obsessed with this story. So, it's not him, but it, how is that? - No, please, Channing got a little lurk, everybody lurks. Everybody lurks. - Everybody lurks. - You're following this page. - So what, so if it's not him, how did they, what do they prove? We don't know who did it, it's someone close to Channing Tatum, it's a stranger who just followed Channing Tatum, what's going on? - Channing Tatum, follow that account. - And follow that account. - Is that no one took out of it? - Put together a leader account about Harry Styles and so we crap, it's as simple as that. - Yeah, and we don't know if it's him or a friend of his. If it was me, it would have been one of my cousins. They would definitely do that for me. - That's real love. Somebody who sets up an account to lurk for you? That's love. I'm not mad at it. - What nice cousins you have. - Yeah, are they right for me? - That's beautiful. - Robert Patton's in reveals his lifelong struggle with color blindness in emotional Instagram posts. - No, not real. - Yeah, it's fake. - I feel like eventually the struggle ends. It couldn't be lifelong. You know what, I can't see green. - Some people have it even worse. They're people who are just all brown. There's lots of shades of brown. - Very phoenix. - I relate. Martha Stewart reveals which of her horses she would marry if he were a person. Mm. - I'm gonna say that's fake. - I also'm gonna say that's fake. - That's correct. - Yeah. - "Health of Visuals seeking woman who was seeing touching a rabid bat trying to put it in her bag." - Oh, I think this is, in 2026, this is true. I say yes. - So just touching a rabid bat, trying to put it in her bag. - I'm gonna say yes, 'cause it's such a specific action. - Yeah, it's right, you got it. - "Women gives birth in a KFC parking lot, gives baby boy a fitting fast food name." - Oh, I could see this happening for sure. - Well, also the clickbait is good, 'cause I'm like, "What's the name?" (laughing) - Like, "Biscuit, what's the kind of bag?" (laughing) - I'm gonna say no. I'm gonna say no. I'm gonna say real. - He is right. (bell dings) - It's so specific. - Yeah, I guess. And we'll tell you the name after the break. - No, I'll tell you the name, I'll tell you the name. I'll tell you the name. It was, so it was just Cody, but, but, they're calling him Colonel Cody. - Oh. - Okay, I like that. - Sure. - This graphic is interesting. The baby and the KFC bucket. - I'm just gonna say that I got that right, 'cause Colonel Cody is not his name. (laughing) - You're right, thank him. - Okay, fine. This is how he is. Travis Kelsey praises Taylor Swift's hot look from her Lauren order SVU cameo. There's not much she can't do. - This sounds like something he would say. - Totally. - You got it. (laughing) - Shailene Woodley's stylist checks into passages Malibu after red carpet pile on. - I might be responsible for this. I dragged her a little bit. - I might have dragged her a little bit. - 'Cause you didn't like the look. - No, I did not. No. She's probably lovely. But no, I did not like the look. - I mean, it's not even fair to have called it a look. It's like she was a genie, but she only had $3 to make a genie outfit. - Yeah. (laughing) - They tried, they tried. (laughing) That be said, I think this is fake. - This is fake. - Yeah, you got it, it is fake. It is fake. And finally, Melissa McCarthy reveals her take on John Bonet Ramsey case after playing her mom, quote, "I probably am not supposed to say." - Definitely real. - Real. - Yeah, that's real. (laughing) - We do this. - Thank you, Louis and Nina. Check out Keep It on YouTube wherever you get your podcasts and we will be right back. (audience laughs) They say it rolling stone gathers no moss, but how about a rolling wheel, terrific. That's right. We've reached a part of the evening that is the rant wheel. We'll each have 60 seconds. Let's spin it and talk about whatever you want to talk about. (upbeat music) - Buckle the fuck up. (audience laughs) 'Cause guess what? When I'm at a party with your stupid ass, and I'm talking to someone and you come into the conversation and I'm just trying to be polite and you enter and I say, "Oh, Megan, this is Lauren." And you guys already know each other. You don't need to go, "Oh, nice to meet you." We've never met before. What's your name again? Ha, ha, ha. You put on a little play to make me feel like an asshole because I didn't know that you two have known each other for 20 years. I don't find the joke funny. I don't find the joke respectful. I find it to be a punishing move that is made to me make me feel like the dog's breakfast on a Sunday morning just for being a lovely little party girl that knows her etiquette. So I would like to say to you, next time that happens, just graciously say, "Well, yes, I know, Lauren. We actually went to college together." Ha, ha, there. It's over. Fuck you. Stop doing that. Or stop inviting me to your party. You horrible, horrible women. The rare use of the British aphorism dog's breakfast. You've made me feel absolutely out of the dog's breakfast. Love that. Beautiful. All right, let's beat it again. [MUSIC PLAYING] Lewis, what would you like to rant about? OK, so we already talked about how the New York Times has this list of the 100 greatest TV shows or whatever. And always, whenever there's a new list out about everything. People complain, this is rage-bait. You mean me having passionate opinions about the arts? This is the only reason I'm alive. This is me being myself. Let me have this. OK, and I don't want to talk about all the other things you want to talk about, because that's for his podcast. Not mine, OK? Back to the list. I don't trust anybody who doesn't put on the list of the greatest shows of this century, American Idol. American Idol is the greatest reality show of all time. And I'll tell you why. One, we gave Randy Jackson eight figures every single year to be like, I'm not sure that was good. Literally, he's never had a real opinion in his life. He makes $10 million a year. Paula Abdul, did she know she was on a show so exciting to watch? Simon Cowell, the richest man alive, literally always wearing a henley you could definitely get at H&M. Why did he choose that? It was always like three sort of shaved hairs on his chest. Anyway, also, the singing was so good. I, to this day, throw out an occasional-- it's a no-for-me dog. And I just-- it's a beautiful way to say no to something. Just that's a no-for-me dog. I just use a Randy Jackson phrase all the time. I also think more telling me this-- And I'll say-- and I'm going to stop. Also, I think more telling me this-- I know that I'm going to stop. What your favorite American idol winner is. Like, if you tell me your favorite winner was, I don't know, Taylor Hicks or something, like, I know something about your family background. That's so fun to have. So here's the thing-- and let's talk about Taylor Hicks. I feel like we were in, at that moment, a kind of collective reverie. Because was it-- is it Carrie Underwood who's second? No, who's second? Catherine McFee. Catherine McFee is second that season, which, in hindsight, insane. But in the moment, there was a part of it. It was like, look at how that guy's face is weird when he sings, let's give it to him. Yeah. And we were all like, no, we are going to love Taylor Hicks forever. Forever, he will be our guy. We're not going to stop listening. We're not going to move on. It's him forever. And obviously, three or four days after that season, he was gone. And Catherine McFee remains. But I think that's a cool thing. It's like a tattoo. You know, it's like, why did we get that Taylor Hicks tattoo? I don't know. But we, at the time, it was so cool to us. Yeah. Did you get a Taylor Hicks tattoo? Well, it's my whole back. Let's spin it again. [MUSIC PLAYING] OK. Before you move forward in a relationship, I don't care if it's a friendship, a marriage, you're dating, go to the fucking airport with this person. Because everybody's IQ drops like 30 points when they walk into the fucking doors of LAX. I don't know what it is. I don't know what you want to just walk and then stop and use your phone. Why not pull over to the side? I'm not sure why your whole family is taking up the whole fucking hallway while I'm trying to get to my gate. I'm not sure why you need to change the baby's diapers right here in the middle of the way. But you need to do it, right? Nobody knows how to say, excuse me. They don't see you. They're rolling over your feet every time. And you got to know if that person does not have TSA pre-check, you got to drop them. You got to break up with them. Fuck, leave meeting them at the gate. Leave them, period. Because they don't have good judgment. You coming up here without pre-check? Are you OK? I can get away with not having clear. But pre-check is a deal breaker. You need to understand if somebody can pack it in and pack it up and keep it moving. Because if you can't keep up, you can't keep me. [BELL RINGING] Beautifully said. That's a yes for me, dog. I'm going to stop saying it, starting now. Let's spin it again. [BELL RINGING] I'm going to build on your airport rant. Something has now happened, where there was this blissful time when there was just pre-check and normal. And nobody had pre-check. If you had pre-check, life was good. Then they added clear. And so you got clear, right? You said, I'll get clear in case it's a thing, and you get clear. And then clear was amazing. Pre-check was good, regular nightmare. I don't know what's going on over there. And then you would go through clear and it would be amazing. Now you get to the airport. And there's standard pre-check, touchless ID, clear with pre-check, clear without pre-check. And it is now a crap shoot as to where I belong, which is the shortest line. Like, I don't-- and what sucks about going to the airport is nobody knows that I belong on the shortest line. And so there's no one-- and I can't say, hey, where do I go? Like, I see where this is all going, and where that's all going. Where do I go? Because I'm flying. [BELL RINGING] [APPLAUSE] And that's the right wheel. Yeah. And we'll be right back with second thoughts. [MUSIC PLAYING] And we're back. [APPLAUSE] Frank Sinatra, one saying, regrets I have a few. But then again, too few to mention. But he's dead and we're alive. And so we have a list of all the things the producers believe I did wrong during this show. So let's discuss them now in tonight's final segment, which we call second thoughts. [BELL RINGING] I have a list of things that they believe I could have done better as a person, that they've collected during this episode. I opened the show with a joke about the president having a mess. You just called the show the joke. I did another error. I'm loving this. Let's see. I'm sorry about joking about people dying and playing crashes again, but I'm not sorry enough to stop. I lost you on Tom Cruise, but that was all your fault. Let's see. Oh, yeah, and I-- you guys didn't like when I compared Rachel Maddo to the Iatola. I am also sorry for implying that Dolly Pardon is in help. What? It was like a little joke. Oh, no. She could have done more. But at the same time, she kept her private life private, so we really don't know. Exactly. Exactly. Exactly. Such an important thank you. Let's see. Lisa, I regret that I tried to sound strong. And I regret being a guest on the show. I do start every question with, hey, and he got my ass. Do I have more? Oh, yeah. I let Nina make me too confident. That is actually my fault. What kind of sick, twisted mental games do we have now going back and forth with the people that produced this show? Why do you want me insecure?
-And anxious all the time. Why is that good for you? -I apologize to the staff. -Don't apologize to them. -Obs and prayers. -I violated the NDA I signed before playing Mafia with Whitney Cummings. There was no NDA. -The name-dropping, I think, was a lot for me. -Say. -But also, you didn't say whether you won the game or not. -Well, that was intense. -I got out -- So all I remember, I definitely did not -- I did not win. But I -- I don't remember I was in the Mafia or not, but I remember once I was out, everybody was just riveted by the performance that my friend, you shower me, nameless, was putting on. -Meryl Street? [ Laughter ] -Let's just say -- Let's call her -- Yeah, let's call -- -Rhyme her name. -What? -You can remember, you know, Julia Bobberts. -No, sorry. [ Laughter ] -That's not true. [ Laughter ] -Great. -She didn't want to play. She just wanted to hang. I wasn't at a party with Julia Roberts. -That never happened. -One day. -Wait, what did you say about Tom Cruise earlier? -Oh, just that he's going to die making whatever mission impossible movie he makes last. -Oh, okay. I find fandom of Tom Cruise kind of annoying. He's only good when he's playing evil people. I love him in Magnolia, and I love him in Rain Man. Otherwise, he's boring to me. Thank you. [ Applause ] -Look at you. Look at you. Pearls before fucking swine. That man gives us everything that he has. And if Scientology makes someone that intense, committed, passionate, disciplined, and serious, get my hands on that fucking emitter. 'Cause I'm in. I'm in. I don't even want to be up here while you're saying that. He's a gift to us. -Well, he was a gift. He was a gift, but now we have high rock. So now we can all do that. And I have only one last regret, which is that's our show. Thank you so much. Elisa Gilroy to Lewis Retell. And Nina Parker. There are 41 days until the midterms will be back for high day with MSNOW's Rachel Maddo, Michelle Collins, and Namesh Patel. Thanks for thanks everybody.
