my concern would be based on what you said. If Jack Grelish is coming back, then it's still to me would look like once Grelish is fit, it's Grelish left and die right, and Johnson's sitting on the bench. Now, it is obviously in a different option in terms of changing the game up, later in games you can bring him on. And actually when people get tired, I think that is a role for Johnson can work quite nicely. But you're saying the word is Grelish is still going to come back. Well, apparently, yeah, everything points towards him coming back. Like I said, this is from several of the better evidence sources. But so that naturally makes you go, "Oh, Johnson's not going to play, and he's going to be on the bench." But maybe, like I say, maybe they know that the sun has gone up and we're feeling a million Jai. So maybe Johnson's coming because they know they're closer to the end of the window. And Jai is likely to go to somebody. Because we know he's not going to send a new contract to Evan's service values, just going to keep going down. So if he doesn't go this summer, he'll almost certainly go next summer. But he'll go next summer for obviously a bit less money. So maybe Arsenal, maybe Arsenal coming forward and more. But whoever, you know. Saddy Clubs have been mentioned moving Dai quite a lot. Well, he's not going to go there. I mean, that was. I mean, I've never seen that before. I've never said that, Sean. Well, I mean, even if I was on Twitter telling people that he wasn't going to go there, but that's just smacked of. Is agent was doing the talking. It's like, you know, the scientist, they do it down in the sound flush out interest in other clubs by, you know, making it look as if, you know, "Quick, you better come in because you're going to go." You've got a bid now. He's going to go. Nobody come in and bid. Evan didn't have any contact from the Saddy Club anyway. So, like, you can't buy somebody unless you pull a bid in. So why didn't you pull a bid in? Because you probably. It was probably just allowed in nonsense to flush out interest that hasn't yet been realised. But there's a few weeks to go, isn't there? Business tends to pick up when we get close to the deadline. So maybe Evan knows likely to go. And that maybe that's why we've got Brenn Johnson. So even if Jack comes back, it'd be Jack on the left. And Brenn and on the right. And we'd still have Tyree George and Sahel Teblin as over options. Down in one. Neins one. Elamon. Yeah, again, bringing George back into that conversation. Almost doesn't make sense to almost have too many cooks. Do you want Jack back? If asked that you now and dies staying, do you want Jack back? It's a tricky one because he's got to go footballer. He barely has, but I just think it limits us. Massively, I've been greedy, let's go on the left and then Jai on the right. Because we just calm fretting teams in behind and we just end up under more and more pressure. You know, when we do get up the pitch and work up the pitch. Jack's got great quality and, you know, he got, I think he had about six assists before he got his injury and he had a couple of goals. And Jai only got four non penalty goals in the whole season. You know, that was, that was massively different points. So you've been returning more? Yeah, exactly for his ability. I mean, but he gets in. He gets in fantastic positions and he should be taking more, more chances. He's done it against Newcastle all the way over there. He had a great opportunity. He should be putting in the back of the net. He doesn't tend to do this. It's straight to the keeper. So it's very, very frustrating because we need, we need more goals. We need more goals from those, from those wide positions. And I think, you know, maybe the fact that he switched to the right. You got seven non penalty goals of good or something. And then he only got four last year. But I know you're well away for half con. Or four non penalty goals for some all of that ability. He's just nowhere near good enough. And that's why he lost his place for Sanagoa because SARS strength is put in the ball in the back of the net. He takes opportunities a lot better. He's still 32. I've got that. So it's four, four non penalty goals and two penalties. Yeah, that's crap. Well, it's crap for someone with his ability to kick on. Because he's a very, very good footballer. You know that I really like it. I'm going to die. What else you expect in this window? Both ins and outs. We've kind of often had this long speculation, which I would branch way potentially leaving. I guess because of his injury issues, that feels like not a conversation. Yes, I'm. Are you expecting anyone to leave of your key players? No, I think I've been there maybe. I think the only one that might go is in Jai because I think if somebody did bid sort of around 70 million, I think that just gets done. Whether than anyone will. I'm not sure. But then we're just back to it. If he's still there, it'll probably be great. There's none left in Jai on the right. And then, you know, I'll be a bit. A bit struggling to see where the improvement comes from this season. If that was the case, because all within what you need. Sorry. What do you need in terms of new players? Not necessarily even in particular individuals, but position wise, we need something. I feel like you're going to say right back. I'm probably left back right back and left back. Yes, but there doesn't seem to be any will on ever and side to do anything about the left back situation. So then that will believe was all to hope that Adam has. New just gets more game time. He's still there. So if he's there when the window shuts, surely he's gone. He's gone apply. So if people, if people are, you know, thinking of Michael Lencos, it's he peve at the defender because he's nailed. Well, if Adam has news still there when the window closes, the corner matting, Adam has news, gone to want to spend another season with no minutes. But full back. Yeah, we need we need a right back like you want to. Sent forward. I think I think I'd ideally like to change better. If the court he's only got, he's got less than a year left on his contract. So there's no, not going to be real, you know, money involved in in any sort of transfer out. So then the restricted about what he could bring in. So I don't, I don't see anything happening there. I think it'll be better. I'm going to carry on. And that that's why I'm desperate for like John, I think Johnson needs to apply because it's the only significant uplift I can see in those in terms of scoring goals. And if you don't score, you don't score over 50 goals. You won't likely to finish it in the top ten of the league. I've done a little bit of digging on numbers and stuff and I think it only happens like 20 times in the history of the Premier League that somebody scored less than 50 goals. I've finished in the top ten. Now ironically, Everton, I've done it more often than anybody else. I mean, I think it's going to be scored about 42 goals last year. It's just like crazy. But we need more goals. And the only way we're going to score more goals is get better. So slide to the likes of TNO body and Keenan Jews. And then bring players in that obviously can score can score goals and Brennan Johnson. I've got that pedigree. So I'd like to see and giant the left. Johnson, I'd like to get Norgoth in the team. And then hopefully going back on the left Dan Sard gets more goals out of, out of it. Okay, let's move on to kind of more in depth from fantasy. Six million midfielders is three of them. Johnson and Diallys Spanwatt, James Garner and another that they feel all difficult picks at this moment. Obviously Garner, we think it's probably not going to be available for game week one. But if he suddenly played in the last friendly, does that become something that he would instantly go onto your radar? Yeah, he was sitting there. He was sitting there in the first team that I picked. The registered on the site and then just also picked the team, started swapping people in. And James Garner at six million, I definitely would have him. But then of course we went to sign Norgoth and Norgoth only five million. And I definitely think Norgoth's going to play. And he might, he might well get James Garner style numbers because in our interceptions, he's really strong. And James Garner's stronger tackles. So that boosts his death comp. But I think Norgoth, a five million pound, if he's going to play every week, and I really do believe he will, he might be the one to go for. I think he's the one that a lot of us have mentioned as arguably the most sensible five million midfielder choice. The problem for that is I think people are looking at and want to use, if you want to get rid of that bench boost early, you're just setting up and going, "Norgoth's my eight four seventh full tack."
or whatever that looks like, it's a 5 million great, but I need him around in Game Week 1 is obviously what a lot of people are thinking about. But who's not thinking that? If he's close, I suppose you could still go with Norgard, but starting with a player that's not available Game Week 1 is probably not a recommendation generally speaking. Ethan Dyer signed a new contract next week. New 5-year deal, Illuminum Dyer stays. I get the vibe you'd still prefer Ghana over and die anyway, like if they were both fair. Yeah, I want him to score more goals, but I'm just not convinced he's got it in him. Not to justify. I mean, the penalty is obviously appeals. He's a fantastic penalty either. We just don't get penalties there. I mean, the start to year on year on year, and I haven't the right down the bottom for few of his penalties given. So it's not as much of a boost as you might think it is. It might change now. That's just shit. So that's a different podcast. Brennan might provide the goals at 6 million, but that's a real gamble at the start for fantasy managers, I think. Brennan Johnson could be good for fantasy. I've always said that even I've been heavily critical, even at spurs watching, watching, watching. But I'd need to know Grelish pissed off the villa or something, and know where I stood moving forward and think so. I think those are probably the three of them and no goals to start. And Dyer is still going to be popular. I think within the field community, but I need to see more in terms of the numbers of output. And I'd argue we rather play 0.5 more for Keenan, Jews, Rehull, anyway. 4.9 points per match last season for Jews, Rehull. That's why he's in at 6.5 for the record and diet. 4 points per match. And James gone of 4.2. Yeah. Keenan, KDH. Keenan's age. Pity went up. It'd been nice to be the state. It'd be, it'd be, it'd be, it'd be 5.5 last year at the start. It was, it was 5.5. So a lot of the rooms straight in. Yeah. Yeah. I did. It was a bit of a no brainer. And yeah, even at 6.5, I think, I think I've got to have KDH over there, over the evening, even with the 0.5 extra. You think he is absolutely guaranteed goals and assists and the role in the team won't change. So when he's fit, he's in. And he's the more exciting one to watch. And James gone is, we had this conversation last year. James gone is great for fantasy, but it's like the bill of a ball inside the fantasy where Keenan's used to be all goals and assists is what you want to see. And when you're, when you're watching the matches, eight goals, seven assists from 30 starts. So attacking return every two running through, right? That's why that points for matches really high. So that's great. 15 attacking returns. The only caveat to that is, well, there's two actually. One is the big other performance. Expect to go involvement last year was near a 10. And obviously he's returned 15. So there is no performance there, but good players can overperform. I have probably a bigger problem with that. One is the psychology of I owned him for a lot of last season that five million, all now he's 6.5 that kind of burns a bit. And I have a stigma problem, Sean. We've ever an attacker's full stop for fantasy. It's almost becoming a number in role for me. Don't bother. Well, yeah, I mean, I get that. Because we just we're just not like great at scoring goals. And he's not five. Now I've got to pay a proper price for him now. That's it. And so he's not like that, that like bonus play in it. Is he that you don't mind, you know, people with no mind, invention, even though he did have ended up missing out on on some really good returns, like, you know, I'm sure plenty of people benched him when we went to all traffic, but we won one more nail and he scored the goal. So you know, you pay 6.5 million for him this year, you're going to play him, you're not going to bench him. You're going to want to play him every week. And naturally, because of, you know, where we finished and the fact you don't score loads of goals, people weren't want to necessarily have him in the team for for the big tough games. But he's a consistent animal that you'd have to keep playing it. I'll throw this back a different way. I just want to read the players directly below him in terms of points per match returns last season. So Kenjus before 4.9 points per match from 30 starts, the players directly below him. Igor Tiago, Daniel Munoz, Harry Wilson and Tom Stack, Nika Rareli, Elliot Anderson, Marcus Sennese, Nori Mukelli, Morgan Rogers, James Tarkowski, Virgil Van Dyke. Yeah. That's the company he's in. So he should be a consideration. Yeah, definitely. He'll do it. He'll have a similar season, bar and injury. He'll post similar numbers. He's like, he says, Roland teams not going to change. And you know, up west will be above the same. Hopefully we're better because hopefully Brennan Johnson plays and we get the Brennan Johnson from a couple of years ago. Hopefully we get a right back in. And we don't crumble at the end of the season and we get over the line and we finish in the top 10. That's obviously what we all want. I don't see any reason why it should go massively backwards. We obviously could get off to a sticky start because we're not quite, we're not quite ready. But they've locked all items in place. Isn't they've been playing better than they normally play? And no guard and gone. I used to say that, you know, when I go to match tomorrow, you know, one of them or maybe both of them will be in the squad and then it'll look a bit a bit different. But I wouldn't, I wouldn't put anybody off. Clean and juice be all. Okay. In the same price of the likes of Ishmaelusar, interesting needs to work consideration. Just a quick coverage of some of these other midfielders shorn. Tim and Robin and we think it's probably going to hold sounds like the time. Yeah, it looks like yeah, yeah, almost certainly you'll be gone. I told you they'd be busy. Charlie Alcoros likes a shot. He does yeah, but he doesn't get on a pitch, does he? Okay. One player does seem to have had decent minutes in preseason, Merlin role. Yeah. Is that we like to see more of him this season? I would imagine so, but I think it'll be, it'll be, you know, a bit of a, a bit of a play that fills in in various positions which are over the years with David Morris. He's always had players that do that. And then I think that's how he's going to use Merlin role. Like he may well, he may well start the first game of the season. I have a right back or all in central midfield because of the other two being missing. So, but he's not in. I don't see him as a, as a FPL pick. Okay. Just a quick word on Harrison Armstrong who caught my eye the first minute I ever saw him because he was your best player in a four-nil defaite at Tartner who's only under pitch for five minutes. What we expecting from him this year because he's at a point now we need regular minutes, right? Yeah. Yeah. It's a tricky one. It's because a lot of people are saying that the best thing for them would be to go out on loan somewhere. So that wouldn't be surprised if that happens. But you've got to be careful in this league. Have any of that you don't, you know about that anybody. You pick up a few injuries and suddenly it's like, oh shit, you know, it's not like you can caught your squad too thin. I think if we sign a right back and then that sort of negates the need for mail and roll to be covering then there may be the letting go out. But he's a really, really talented, clearly talented player that absolutely caught on overseas and where he's just sat on the bench, rotten. Okay. Let's talk goalkeeper. Jordan Pickford is always really consistent in this game. I feel like most fantasy managers have a moment in every season where they go, I just wish I'd put pickford in for the season and forgot about it. But I won't point it to sports something quite interesting because last year his FPL points were down on the last couple years and you only get one fewer clean shake kept 11 clean sheets last year, 12 the year before 13 the year before that. I suspect you'll be in double figures again. He got 35 FPL points last year, but 158 and 153 the two years before that one of the things I noticed was he saved numbers were down quite a lot. He had made 100 saves last year whereas the previous two years, 1222, 1221 year before that was 24 as well. So I mean that's like proper solid consistency and the one thing you get with pickford is these are 38 games all the way through so they're legit comparable. Does that tell a sign about you defensively Sean that actually he's made a number of fewer saves last year which I think ultimately is led to
a bit of the lack of points, last year because not it and towards the bonus so much. Yeah. Any thoughts on that? Yeah, well, I just think it's a natural sort of consequence of us becoming a better team. And Sean Dij was very much like just back against the wall for virtually every game and invite shots and try to invite shots from distance sort of thing, whereas we have got better. Like, we were looking up for most of the last season and we were in the top 10 for a lot of it. And I know we weren't wrong at the end. Well, yeah, we're the better team and we're attacking more and we've got a bit more to the ball and we're not just, I think that was one of the problems in playing at home that we were too attacking at times and just got caught on the counterattack because we were too high up the pitch. But you can see it at the matches that there is a big noticeable difference from the amount of defending that we do now, even though people love to say the noise is negative and power, etc, etc. You only have to go back on what's the goals that we can see the last season and a lot of them are from set pieces and counterattacks. But in the general state of the game, we're not getting the goals not getting peppered like it was under Dutch. Is there for Jordan Pickford a worse goalkeeper option than these perhaps been in previous years? Yeah, I mean, I did say last year that I was going to do that. I was exactly going to do that. Just pop pick for then and just leave them there. And then you're not wasting the transfers over the season and you know who's going to get a decent score. And you could do that this season, but that I think there is a bit to be gained there by just going a little bit cheaper than you could probably get more points than him, but you're not going to be caught. It feels like there might be a five that outscores him, for example, yeah, you'll be fine. If you people put him in, it's not going to let you down, but it might be something now that is a bit cheaper than outscores him that would probably might take plus. There's also reasons to look at other event defenders. So James Tarkowski, almost like the epitome of the Defcon monster centre back Sean, he's going to be popular again. I think although currently he's in under 10% the same at the time recording, which you'll views on him now he's in at six. Well, I mean, you know, the points per game that you've had out he was on that list, wasn't he? 4.6 strong. Yeah, and you know, you know what you're going to get with him, don't you know, I mean, there's no there's no threats of his place. Unfortunately, like I don't think he had a very good season, but he's fantastically wise he did. So I'd like to see his place under threat, but I think the reality is, you know, he isn't. I think Brampoint and Tarkowski would be the first choice per win. And Jared is getting managed at the minute. We know he's got injury issues. Tarkowski's pretty robust, such a word. So I only see the same thing happening where Tarkowski is he's captain that was well like actual captain, because sheamus has obviously left. So I just don't see a world where Tarkowski doesn't start every week. OK, you start moving? No. You know, elaborate. No, no. I love it. No, I just think you too. I think he's too much money. I want, I want hall and then my team's. I'm sure he is though. Like it's fair price based on what we've seen. It's too much money for what I can do with my team with other players I've got is what I mean. Yeah, it's absolutely a fair, a fair price. But then with him versus say, mascara who may well start the season with Arsenal. Oh, the Arsenal defenders 0.5 cheaper, yeah, but if they can say it and we know that they will probably concede fewer than everybody else, but if they can say it's two points probably a move on, isn't it? Tarki is capable of the four point that we've with the goal going in, isn't he? This is why he's knocking about that average points per match, right? Is he gets it so often? Yeah, yeah. It's just it's just that his game in it is. He's just get it gets himself in front of every thing that you know, the way the way he defends. And that's not going to change the other reason he appears at. I'm quite indecisive on him because I think he could just go in and just leave it be. And I think we're probably at the stage of him now where. Maybe bar maybe sort of like three games of season or so. And there's some would say no all 38, but I would I still would look at things like Arsenal way, I think. OK, he's probably is going to hit me the DEF con, but he ain't going to get the clean sheets or I'll skip it this way. But the majority of games you've shown historically, you can generally keep clean sheet anybody's worth saying. Arsenal was nil nil going into the injury time last year. Another game where you can see it in some late go. The other thing that really appears with Tarkov skiers. I can't see a world where I want any of the rest of your defense. I can't see it. It's like, oh, ever really good, ever in the channel for top five, tilts it. Defensive stuff looks really good. I can't see a world where I want any of the rest of them. So I just want to cover them off and tell me if I'm wrong. So he's brown freight worth 0.5 saving versus Tarkov skiing. No. Why? No, because I don't think I don't think he's going to get the Fconn anyway near as much as Tarkov skier well, because he's just styled defending is completely different. He obviously got injured issues still. Could well end up playing left back at times. OK. Michael King. Michael King could potentially change it for me in fairness. Like if I knew he was going to play every week, then I do think that's probably worth a million saving versus Tarkov ski. But for that to be something that's on my mind, I don't wish Jared Brownfrey long-term injury again, but that's probably what it requires. Yeah, yeah. But that then makes us a poor, a defensive team. Yeah. So I think I think the, yeah, I think the thing with with Blanfrey is he just sort of announces sort of Kofsky's appeal because we are definitely a better team with Jared, isn't it? Jacob Brown will start, isn't it? As it stands. Delay, you know, I reckon I've got him in. I've got him in me start and see him that you'll inevitably ask me about. But that's just because we haven't signed a right back. And I think not that anyone will be happy about it. But yeah, I think with destined for them, you know, the normal Michael Lankov, Brownfrey, Tarkov ski, O'Brien, set up for game week one. Is there any chance here where you end this transfer window with Daniel Menos, who has been linked and another really good left back? The Jacob Bryan, asked Tarkov ski from right side of the centre back. Well, that's what that's what people want. But I don't think O'Brien is as good as some other fans think he is. And I just don't think David Moise would do that. What is that? I wouldn't see that situation changing until Tarkov ski got an injury. And he went in there and he had a 10 game run and he like, yeah, he's proved it now. Yeah. Tarkov ski falls off a cliff. Yeah. And they don't think we're not talking about. All there's a new style of manager coming in. We're asking him to play on the halfway line and he might struggle a little bit more. We know what we get him from ever to this year, which is a blessing in terms of trying to understand this. So until something changed, I don't, my view on the outside would be that doesn't change. Yeah. No. I agree. I know fans have changed it. And I know the way we push up a home. It definitely doesn't suit James Tarkov ski. And so on paper or in theory, O'Brien is more suited to playing in that way. Well, I just, I think, yeah, I think the fact that Tarkov ski is the captain. And he's just a very, very David Moe's type of center back. I can't see anything changing there. Unless like you say his form falls off a cliff and he keeps costing those goals and costing those points. And then Moe's becomes, you know, under pressure and then maybe maybe changes from fit there. Okay. And just quickly, Michael and co 4.5. I can't see a few people. It's an easy way in. And he probably is going to start again, isn't it? Well, it looks, it looks that way as much as again, you know, a lot of fans want to see us new playing. But what we want to see and what David Moe's going to do two different things. And so I think me, me, co will, we'll just carry on. He's sounding new construct as well, which annoyed a lot of people. But I can see why he don't. There's a reason, oh, he's much cheaper at 4.5. I've got a very good reason for that. He didn't even at 100 points last year. And that is from 33 starts. No, yeah, you just, you just get nothing. You get nothing from him goals and the city.
swires. I know he's got four goals now playing for the other but a couple of them were extremely fortunate. The ball had just gotten, he just offers nothing with the ball at his feet, he ain't got a clue what he's doing. Let's finish quickly with the front toe, both in at 5.5. There is a score for which is against what I said earlier about, I don't really want over an attacking players, that actually, if you knew which one of these two boys up front was definitely going to play regularly and they was going to get 90 minutes, that's part the problem, one tends to replace the other which were 25 minutes to go. That'd be worth a look. 17 goals between them last year. Essentially what equates to minutes wise, a little over a full season between the two of them. But you've also said that they might want to move better on because of a contract situation, so we might be looking at someone else coming in that sounds like. Well, I don't think that'll happen, I think better will stay and they'll just take the hit, but if somebody did and there was someone else out there that they could bring in or maybe get on loan. Liam, I've tried selling to everyone this week so I might as well just continue, it's the last one. I don't know. Paul got Alan, you might be getting him after all, a tellger, nothing does sound like it really wants it, it might have to end up well. I think better and Barry will just carry on like last season. Who do you think will start after two of them? I think Barry will start, Barry. Barry's been much the better out the two in preseason, so I think Barry will start, okay, go on then, put it that full starting eleven. Yeah, so gaining one against Palace. Pickford O'Brien, Tarkovsky, Brunfoy, Michelinco, then it'll be, have a strong strong goal, Milen, Roll, probably alongside Hackney, Keenan, Juice Breall. Then I think it will probably be Tyrigge, George, Illuminen, Jai, Barry. Okay, we should have bested it up, mate. What is a good season that like for Everton? Top 10. I find it difficult when I look at last season to see you finish 13. It's just think you were better than that. What is a bad season that like? Well, a bad season will be scrapping down the bottom because you got off to a bad start, everyone's on board is back and we can't go for too many. Haha, yeah. Well, a twin of Ha Ha's, I can't believe that I've pretty much asked all 20 of you this week that exact same question. And nobody came back with the answer to what would a bad season look like and no one said finish below Tottenham. So I want to thank you all for that. Summary:
