Evening Wire: Trump Vetoes Execution Livestream & Cornell 7’s Jane Doe Swatted? | 10.15.26

Daily Wire highlights a mix of political drama, technology, and public safety stories. The network promotes its original film "Run, Hide, Fight! Infidels" as a nostalgic action movie with a love story, while advocating for consumer tools like Jerry, which helps drivers save thousands on car insurance, and Aura, which protects users from data breaches. A major political development is President Trump’s decision to cancel the live-streaming of the Fort Hood shooter’s execution, though victims’ families can attend. Several high-profile controversies unfold, including Senator Abdul El-Sayed’s denial of Muslim Brotherhood ties despite family social media posts, and allegations of swatting against Jane Doe in the Cornell 7 case. Investigations into Congresswoman Ilhan Omar’s immigration and financial disclosures intensify, with subpoenas issued to family members. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky accuses Trump and Elon Musk of betrayal during ceasefire negotiations, claiming they secretly aligned with Russia. Additionally, a backlash emerges over AI-generated political content, such as a controversial deepfake video of Senator Marsha Blackburn. The segment also underscores broader societal concerns about data privacy, political ethics, and the misuse of technology in campaigning. These stories reflect a complex, often confrontational, political and social climate.

President Trump says they will not be live streaming the execution of the Fort Hood
shooter anymore. El-Sayed snaps at a reporter when he's questioned on ties to the Muslim Brotherhood.
And the Cornell 7's Jane Doe was swatted, reports say. I'm Daily Wire executive editor
John Bickley with Georgia Howe. It's Thursday, October 15th. This is Evening Wire.
The Department of War will not live stream the execution of the Fort Hood shooter after all.
Daily Wire contributor Tim Pierce has the details.
President Trump seemed to overrule War Secretary Pete Hegseth about the live stream on Thursday.
The president posted to True Social that although the stream might have been a strong deterrent,
he conceded that many very good and well-meaning people would rather not watch him die.
He was clear that this won't change the killer's fate, however. Nadal Malik Hassan will be executed
as scheduled on December 3rd. While it won't be streamed, the immediate families of Hassan's
victims can watch his execution in person if they choose. The president said that they deserve to
witness just how bad the situation is. Two security personnel were killed in a Houthi missile strike on Yemen's presidential palace
in Aden. The country's prime minister and other ministers were unharmed, though several others
were injured. The Iran-backed Houthis claim they targeted a Saudi military operations headquarters
as fighting intensifies between the rebels and Yemen's Saudi-backed government.
The escalation threatens regional security and shipping near the strategic Bab al-Mandeb Strait.
An illegal immigrant whose detention sparked protests,
and drew support from Democratic lawmakers, was arrested on domestic violence allegations
before ICE took him into custody. Immigration reporter Jenny Taer has the exclusive.
Peruvian national Martin Soto became a prominent anti-ICE activist after organizing a hunger strike
inside a New Jersey detention center. His wife, Gabriela, claimed immigration agents abducted him
while he was shopping for diapers. But newly obtained records show local police arrested Soto
on February 1st, 2018, after he was arrested.
February 1st, after he allegedly struck his wife in the face, covered her mouth to prevent her from
screaming, and assaulted her in front of children. ICE took custody of Soto the following day at the
jail. A federal judge ordered his release earlier this month, and Democratic lawmakers welcomed him
outside the detention center. Gabriela denies the abuse allegations, while Soto's attorney
insists he was the victim of a crime and not the perpetrator.
The Democratic people are not the perpetrators. They are the perpetrators.
A pick for U.S. Senator from Texas, James Tallarico, had an awkward time at a CNN town
hall last night. Daily Wire reporter Jacob Wheeler has more.
On the campaign trail, Tallarico has touted his Christian identity while insisting that it doesn't
conflict with his progressive values on issues such as transgenderism and abortion. But the
Democratic candidate was challenged on that Wednesday night. Here he was being questioned
by a Catholic theology professor on abortion. We're both Christians and
the Bible is silent on the issue of abortion. I want to see fewer abortions. And so you and I
actually have the same goal. I just want to add that the Bible is not silent on abortion. There
is the Ten Commandments, thou shalt not kill. And as Catholics, we take great insult, I guess,
sometimes when it's sprouted that way. Tallarico was also confronted by a Christian business owner
who pressed him on his claim that, quote, God is non-binary. Here is Tallarico's response.
You know, the first comment,
about God not being defined by gender, when I said that I was being provocative, and I want to admit
that and come clean about that. But I think what I was saying is actually not controversial
theologically. The idea that we can't define God using human categories, not only did I say that,
but the late Charlie Kirk said that. The late Pope Benedict said that. And so, yes, I was doing it
in an annoying way.
I can admit that.
I think we have to be careful using modern cultural terms when talking about God.
Sure. I think that is very fair criticism.
Michigan Senate candidate Abdul El-Sayed lashed out at a liberal reporter who questioned his
family's ties to the Muslim Brotherhood. The reporter referenced El-Sayed's previous statements
that his family had absolutely no ties to the terrorist organization, but then presented old
tweets from the candidate's sister that contradicted his statements.
These tweets have emerged now, had an amazing talk.
With my mom about her activism in the Muslim Brotherhood during the early 70s while she was
in college. Hashtag respect. My family has long been an MB. Let me finish. Praying for all my
family that supports the MB in Egypt. Can you just explain it? Yeah, Tom, it's funny to me. I was born
in 1984 down the street in Rochester Hills. I was raised here in Michigan, went to the University
of Michigan, rebuilt the health department in the city, led the health department in this county.
And you want to ask me about what was happening in Egypt in 1970? Are you serious?
El-Sayed refused to give a straight answer, proceeding to become more aggressive,
with the reporter. So your mother had no ties? I have never had these conversations with my
mother. I wasn't raised by my mother. So you were unaware? But I'm just telling you that
you're using hearsay evidence from a tweet. It's just not serious. But you've also gone after the president for truthfulness. You've also gone after the president
for truthfulness. So when people ask you a question, they all do expect the truth.
And do you think, are you insinuating that somehow I was lying? I don't know. That's
why I'm asking you. And I'm telling you I was not.
El-Sayed and Republican opponent Mike Rogers are currently in a virtual tie in the polls.
It's officially cozy season. The sweaters come out, it gets darker earlier,
and suddenly pumpkin spice is everywhere, which sounds healthy. Pumpkin? Spice? Fantastic.
Unfortunately, your pumpkin spice latte does not count as eating your vegetables.
And this is also the time of year when good habits can start slipping a little.
We're busier. We're inside more. So instead of attempting some elaborate fall health reset,
sometimes it's better to focus on habits that are actually easy to keep.
That's what we like about Balance of Nature. Their whole health system brings together 47
ingredients from real whole fruits, vegetables, spices, and fibers in a really simple daily

After a raid on Congresswoman Ilhan Omar's D.C. home, federal agents have seized her phone as
well this week. Investigators also reportedly secured over a dozen grand jury subpoenas,
some of which target Omar's family members living in Minnesota.
Investigators appear to be looking into possible fraud in Omar and her family's immigration
paperwork. And the immigration investigation is just one of two probes into the Minnesota
D.C. District Attorney Jeanine Pirro confirmed on Tuesday that investigators are also looking
into Omar's finances. That's after she claimed in April disclosures to be worth as much as $30
million. She later called that an error and reduced her asset worth to no more than $95,000.
A new report claims that Jane Doe in the Cornell 7 case was the victim of police swatting last week.
The woman's lawyer announced today that the police swat team entered her family's home,
holding her brother and boyfriend at gunpoint. Reportedly, a man called 9-1-1,
claiming to have just shot a family member and threatening to shoot another.
The caller then gave the police Jane Doe's address, which he acquired online.
Police are now looking for the man who made the fraudulent 9-1-1 call.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky appeared on Piers Morgan Uncensored last night,
saying Trump and Musk had betrayed him during a ceasefire. Reporter Zach Jewell has more.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky accused President Donald Trump and Elon Musk of betraying
Ukraine during an appearance on Piers Morgan Uncensored last night.
As tensions grow between Kiev and the Trump administration. Take a listen.
He's done this diesel deal with Vladimir Putin, having just announced renewed sanctions,
which people find inexplicable. And now you have a situation where President Trump announced
a energy ceasefire. And within hours, Vladimir Putin launches an absolute bombardment of Ukraine,
aimed directly at your energy. Do you feel betrayed?
By what has been happening?
Really, yes. Really, between hours. But, I mean, I. It's a little bit more complicated than just my emotions or my feelings.
Yes, it depends not on me.
I mean, our country has to survive.
When you found out that President Trump had done this deal with Putin 21 days after new sanctions,
what was your immediate response to that?
It's a pity that we are losing a strong partner.
The following day, Ukraine struck a Russian oil refinery despite Trump's demand that it
stop targeting Russian energy infrastructure, while SpaceX restored Starlink and Starshield
satellite services after restrictions disrupted critical Ukrainian military operations.
A Ukrainian official said the strikes resumed because Russia continued attacking Ukraine's
energy infrastructure despite Trump announcing a ceasefire agreement that reportedly caught
Zelensky by surprise.
The developments further strained U.S.-Ukraine relations, though it remains unclear whether
Trump personally ordered the satellite restrictions.
Tennessee Republican Senator Marsha Blackburn is brushing off criticism from an AI-generated
campaign video that recreated the style of Kendrick Lamar's Super Bowl halftime show.
Associate producer Garrett Van Team has the story.
The 12-second clip featured Blackburn and other Republican officials as Lamar's diss track
Not Like Us played in the background.
After liberals accused her campaign of exploiting Black culture, Blackburn told The Daily Wire
the video was, quote,
funsy.
and encouraged voters to cast their ballots.
The controversy comes as Blackburn, who is running for governor, has pushed legislation
to protect people from AI-generated deepfakes.
Her effort to pass the bipartisan No Fakes Act was blocked last month by Senator Ted
Cruz, but the video also reignited broader criticism of using AI in political campaigns,
with opponents arguing the technology has no place in campaign messaging.
And former NBA player Delonte West is reigniting a nearly 16-year-old campaign against Trump.
Last month, West was accused of having an affair with LeBron James' mother.
During a press conference Wednesday promoting an upcoming influencer boxing match, West was asked directly whether he had a relationship with Gloria James.
His forward response, quote,
A gentleman never tells.
The remark quickly spread across social media, reviving allegations that first circulated in 2010 when West and James played together for the Cleveland Cavaliers.
West has repeatedly denied the rumors in the past and no credible evidence has substantiated them.
The 43-year-old said,
The 43-year-old is scheduled to fight former NBA player Michael Beasley in Miami on Friday.
