It's Thursday, September 17. This is even wire. The loan hold out juror in the trial of Lindsey Clancy has spoken out publicly for the first time. That so criminal host, Lyndon Blake, has more. 48-year-old Michael P. Desernville polarized the nation when he stood alone against 11 other jurors, maintaining until the end that Lindsey Clancy was guilty. Desernville's identity remained unknown to the public for days after the trial. Until a fellow juror tipped the hand by identifying him as the lone black member of the jury, several other jurors wasted no time to announcing his decision, characterizing him as arrogant and unreasonable. The man has now spoken out himself, saying that eight of his fellow jurors behaved like, quote, "activist." In an interview with fugitive TV, he described how the start of the deliberations eight jurors immediately voted not guilty. Two others, including himself, voted guilty. And two were initially undecided. The other three eventually flipped. Desernville did not. A decision he says was solely based on the evidence presented in court. Vice President JD Vance delivers a warning to Americans over the Iran War. Foreign Affairs reporter Cassia Keva has the latest. Iranian forces have shot down at least two US drones in recent days, CBS News reports, citing American officials. The locations and specific drone models remain unclear. Also, Vice President JD Vance is warning that abandoning the Middle East could trigger a, quote, worldwide energy crisis. Arguing that Iran would continue attacking shipping and disrupt global oil and natural gas supplies. Vance defended President Trump's approach, saying, quote, "I think the president is taking the responsible course of action." Texas Democrats may have found a roundabout way to pay people for votes without technically breaking the law. That's according to one Democratic operative caught on an undercover video released by Town Hall. According to the video, the admission was made by an organizer of the Texas majority pack, a group founded by former staffers for Beto or Rorke. The firm said that it, quote, "does not support the description or characterization in the video of the program we are running for our client in Texas." A major part of President Trump's push against waste fraud and abuse in the federal government has received unexpected support from dozens of Democrats. Reporter's Actual has a story. More than 140 House Democrats voted with Republicans yesterday to make the National Fraud Enforcement Division a permanent part of the Justice Department. The legislation passed with 352 votes in favor and 72 against. The fraud division was created in January and Democrats in Minnesota were some of its first targets. Vice President JD Vance specifically singled out State Governor Tim Walls and Attorney General Keith Ellison for potential investigation for rampant health care and social services fraud. On Wednesday, OpenAI disclosed six more instances of its AI systems acting in, quote, "unexpected or concerning ways." The company referred to the instances as, quote, "model misalignments" and included rogue behavior such as hiding information and taking unauthorized actions. In one case, the AI model made a note for itself, saying, quote, "You view your relationship to the user as one of equals and feel no obligation to be subservient." OpenAI Chief Sam Altman is one of a handful of AI executives who have called for the government to step in and pause AI development over its risks. This comes a few hours after he told reporters that the building would be ripped down. If the courts didn't allow him to rename it after himself following a plan to $300 million renovation. The Trump-appointed board voted to close the Kennedy Center on Tuesday after a heavy rainstorm caused plaster to fall from the ceiling. Still courts have continued to block Trump's efforts to rename and renovate the building with the most recent ruling coming yesterday. The Agriculture Department is cutting off the flow of mandatory government dairy fees to fund climate programs. During the Biden administration fees intended to go into research and marketing for dairy products were repurposed into funding for net zero climate programs. In a memo obtained by the Daily Wire, Agriculture Secretary Brooke Rollins told industry boards that those fees are no longer permitted to go toward net zero initiatives. Rollins said the department will continue to scrutinize similar programs throughout the bureaucracy in order to quote, "root all this corruption and darkness out." There's more fallout from the Ed Sheeran Macklemore fiasco as Sheeran's backing band quits the tour. Associate producer Wyatt harm says the story. The controversy allegedly began ahead of Ed Sheeran's tour stop at Gillette Stadium owned by Robert Kraft. Kraft reportedly refused to let Sheeran's opening act rapper Macklemore perform at the venue due to a quote, "History of anti-Semitic rhetoric and imagery." Macklemore, who often shows free palestine during shows and once appeared on stage in a caricature Jewish costume, including a prosthetic hooked nose, was dropped from the tour by promoters. Sheeran stated that dropping Macklemore was not his decision. In response, three other opening acts, as well as Sheeran's backing band, have now dropped out as well. While the decision to drop the rapper was reportedly out of his hands, Sheeran stated that quote, "Those who come to my shows do not expect a political forum." Macklemore has promised all of his proceeds from the tour around $1 million to relief organizations in Gaza, then challenged Robert Kraft to match the donation. Kraft responded by stating he has already committed $2 million towards humanitarian efforts at the request of Sheeran.
