It's Friday, October 30th, and this is Evening Wire. President Donald Trump is bringing his campaign rallies back to the road, rescheduling stops in Iowa and Kansas for Sunday after initially canceling the weekend events in favor of phone rallies. Trump has already headlined 25 rallies this month as Republicans fight to hold their congressional majorities, while both states feature competitive Senate races. He previously visited Iowa to campaign for Republican Senate candidate Ashley Hinson and Kansas to support Senator Roger Marshall. The Republican National Committee said the in-person events were rearranged to accommodate additional phone rallies aimed at reaching voters nationwide. Alaska's Democrat Senate candidate Mary Peltola is now insisting to her supporters that she, quote, knew nothing about the so-called Decoy Dan scheme. That's despite the New York Times reporting that she was well aware. Reporter Drew Berkmeyer has more. Peltola told reporters yesterday in Juneau, quote, I just want to clear the air. I knew nothing about any other candidates on the ballot except for me and the incumbent. That is all I have ever known about. I am not interested in tricking voters. I know I can beat Dan Sullivan. But Republican candidate Dan Sullivan, the real candidate, swiped back, saying she is, quote, still lying and that her campaign is engaged in the most corrupt action you can take. Paltola's denial follows a bombshell Times report detailing how the Paltola campaign and the Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee searched the state to find another Dan Sullivan to trick voters into voting for the wrong one. The Trump DOJ is looking to delay certification of the results. In sports news, ESPN's relationship with Troy Aikman is reportedly deteriorating after an explosive confrontation with longtime broadcast partner Joe Buck, who signed a lucrative new contract while Aikman remains unsigned. The two argued before a Monday night football game on October 12th, with Buck reportedly asking, quote, you're not going to effing talk to me. I'm not the reason you don't have a contract. Aikman replied, quote, I just never thought you'd do it to me, before criticizing turnover among the show's production staff. Buck allegedly shot back, quote, they got rid of them because you were screaming at them. ESPN has reportedly sided with Buck and has cited being in cost-cutting mode as the reason for declining Aikman's representatives' offer to return for a raise similar to Buck's six-year, $108 million deal. The crypto industry just suffered what's being called the largest crypto bank heist in human history. North Korean hackers stole more than $6 billion from crypto trading platform Binance. That's according to TRM Labs, a firm that tracks the industry. As Sky News reports, the platform has frozen deposits and withdrawals as it scrambles to address the heist. The company is assuring its users that their funds are safe and any value lost in the hacking will be recovered. TRM Labs says that a North Korean hacking group called Trader Trader was behind the heist and pulled it off in just 20 minutes. And in other hacking news, a massive AI-powered hacking operation linked to the Chinese government has been exposed. Reporter's actual reports. A new report from CrowdStrike details how hackers tied to China used AI models, including DeepSeek, to target more than 200 organizations worldwide over the course of 11 days. The operation started on October 17th, and its targets were significant. Among them were foreign agencies all over the globe, think tanks, defense organizations, and telecommunications and semiconductor companies in the U.S. CrowdStrike's vice president told NBC, quote, this is the first time we've seen them using an AI or agentic capability at scale. This is a trend that's going to continue and one where other threat actors will likely get in on the action. October is Cybersecurity Awareness Month, which sounds like a holiday invented by the IT department. But personal cybersecurity usually comes down to ordinary moments, an email that looks legitimate, a call from a number you don't recognize, or a link you click without thinking. I've received messages that look completely real until I checked the sender's full domain and noticed something that was slightly off. That tiny detail is exactly what scammers count on. Americans lost more than $3.5 billion to scams last year, so those small precautions matter. That's also why I use Delete.me. They monitor data broker sites that sell your personal information, work to get it removed, and help make sure it stays removed throughout the year. Wirecutter named Delete Me, it's top pick for data removal services and individual plans start at just over $8 a month. Pope Leo XIV has made history as the first sitting pope to vote in a U.S. general election, casting a mail-in ballot ahead of November's midterms. The Vatican confirmed Friday that the Chicago-born pontiff, formerly Robert Prevost, voted in Illinois as a U.S. citizen, saying he has participated in elections whenever eligible. Voting records show Prevost has requested Democratic primary ballots twice and Republican ballots three times since 2000, though they do not reveal which candidates he supported. He also voted in every general election during that period except 2020 and 2022. The Pope's ballot was first reported by the Chicago Sun-Times, which found he requested it from Will County on October 3rd. A Minnesota official's message to voters on Somali TV has sparked backlash against the state's lax voting laws, which critics say basically invite voter fraud. Minnesota voter outreach director Melanie Hazel Lipp appeared on Somali TV this week to tell Somali voters that they could vote without IDs and they can register on the same day only using a state ID from Minnesota. The state gives IDs to non-citizens. Here's the viral moment. If you're already registered to vote, you don't need to bring anything with you. You just show up to your early voting location, which is usually the county office or a city hall. Minneapolis and the bigger jurisdictions have a lot of extra places where you can go, like a lot of libraries or community centers. But as long as you're registered to vote, you don't need to bring anything with you. If you're not registered to vote and you have, you still have options. If you have a Minnesota ID that is updated, that's all you need to bring with you. If you don't have that, there is a list of documents on our website that you can find. you still have options to get registered same day. Speaking of Minnesota, cracks are forming among Democrats over embattled Minnesota Congresswoman Ilhan Omar. Associate producer Garrett Fantim has more. After revelations that the Obama DOJ found evidence that she may have committed immigration fraud by marrying her brother, a prominent Minnesota Democrat is telling his own party it needs to wake up. Former Minnesota State Congressman Joe Radinovich posted on X, quote, Democrats should understand that the allegation is almost certainly true and her denials calling it a right-wing Islamophobic or racist conspiracy are almost certainly not. He added that people should be, quote, very, very careful about allegations around her finances, where, quote, her defense looks similar and where no meaningful questions have been answered publicly and where any objective look at the evidence doesn't look great. And Google's annual Halloween costume rankings reveal a pop culture landscape increasingly shaped by streaming hits, video games, and viral internet trends. This year, the most searched costume is Buddy the Unicorn, the murderous children's TV mascot from the horror film Buddy, followed by the neato sensory toy, Nikki from Obsession, Agamemnon from The Odyssey, and Lily Lovebraids from Poppy Playtime. Netflix has repeatedly driven costume trends with hits like Squid Game, Wednesday, and K-pop Demon Hunters, while viral sensations like Olympic breakdancer Ray Gunn and collectible toy Laboo Boo have also cracked the rankings. All right, those are your drive home updates. To learn more about these stories, go to dailywire.com. stories, including the latest on the key midterm races, pressure ratcheting up on Ilan Omar, and a new Daily Wire investigation exposing home health care fraud.
