Ethan Cutkosky on Playing Young Tommy Egan + White Boy Carl Era of Shameless EP 81 | The Crew Has It

The transcript blends personal storytelling with industry critique, revealing how a long-standing "Lemonati" influence has shaped pop culture, from sodas to music, with 7UP now challenging this by launching a lime-lemon beverage. The narrative centers on an actor’s journey from childhood—marked by early rebellious behavior, a weed-related arrest at 18, and a youthful love for skateboarding and Hollywood parties—to a more grounded, reflective life. Key moments include a viral ride on the Warner Bros. lot, early acting roles in *Shameless* and *Power*, and a deep dive into personal growth through travel, jiu-jitsu, and music. The actor reflects on how fame doesn’t erase vulnerability, and how experiences like Brazil’s Carnival and cultural immersion have shaped his identity. He also critiques media’s tendency to sensationalize or misrepresent personal lives, emphasizing authenticity and self-awareness. Throughout, themes of resilience, balance, and creativity emerge—showing how personal habits, travel, and artistic exploration fuel sustained growth in a demanding industry. The story underscores that success isn’t defined by fame alone, but by integrity, self-improvement, and staying true to one’s roots.

for 13 years like 11. i was like yeah i mean sometimes i feel like i get messed up on stuff like like age like i want to say emma and i met when we were in fourth grade okay um but then if we shot like the first season i think fifth grade damn she was like a year she's a grade year older than me mike what what grade were you in when you booked power i was in like i was like 12 so i was in like what sixth grade so you were about 12 or you were about younger than that no i was younger i was just 12. we were already on season two season three almost yeah i was like seventh actually yeah seventh actually i was in seventh grade yeah yeah by the time seventh grade we were already like in the heat of it do you remember like the audition and everything or it's just too long ago yeah i remember you went in for it and did all yeah they flew me out here stayed at the sheraton actually that was the other hotel i stayed i filmed a movie called the unborn in second grade yeah and we had to do like all the makeup testing out here and so they flew me out in like second grade where were you living at this point chicago oh fire i didn't move out to l.a until i was like 17. but you were auditioning and you like how did you even get into like doing any of that i was like i was away from my mom and i spent time together i was like i'm an only child uh so she just bring me downtown chicago start doing casting calls started like you know might as well give my kids something to do and then it just kind of grew and grew doing commercials start saving up a little money for college and then shameless came around we were talking to my mom about this the other week we actually were she was we're about to quit acting right before that audition this is i feel like everyone they're always like i was right right no because i remember the first thing i ever did it was fred claus i was fire movie shout out shout out tim allen no i got cut no i was in first grade and i i go to the movie and no literally now you did that in first grade i'm like vince vaughn all this i'm like my own my scene was with vince vaughn and i'm like i hate everybody this i played some kid like i was like speaking role one yeah it was like you know my it was my first lines ever i go up to vince vaughn and i'm like can i like give santa a doll i don't even remember we're standing on the street all day in chicago it's cold as all i remember is my mom just being like what the is going on like it's hungry um and i'm just like what the is happening and then i i went into vince vaughn's like big warming tent i'm like can i have your autograph mr vaughn was he cool i mean i don't really remember like i i just remember him being like all right get out of here yeah that's hilarious so do you remember liking acting at like when you were going to auditions you remember did you like them yeah you didn't but like also my mom like we my parents thankfully were not stage parents by any means like my like people come in with all these binders and be showing my mom like this is what my kid did this is what my my mom's just like mom's like yo if you like are cool with like running your lines we get mcdonald's after like you know as long as you're enjoying this so i think i enjoy just like the part of like talking to people right like that was like the one things i remember being on set like as a kid just around right and like having fun yeah you know like i'm still this age and that's the only reason yeah i mean that's it's like what you go to a job you're acting like you know yes you have your adult but like you know you it's like that sense of like you know i just got done filming this indian ohio you're you're there for three weeks to a month around everybody you're all 12 14 hours a day and you you end up just kind of like all right i know when that person's going to the bathroom i know when that yeah it just it all falls into that it's cool so um you know each project is completely different as you get older and stuff because what age did you start acting at i i mean i started like having like doing classes a little bit when i was uh 18. and then i moved to la when i turned 19 and that's when i started auditioning so did you ever do theater not nothing yeah i did like oh like whatever you had to do in high school but i didn't do anything i just did improv when i was 18. okay and that was kind of it never did anything i think the only theater i've ever done was in when i was four years old at preschool i played the christmas tree that's hilarious that's all mike did you ever do any theater stuff or no no bro yo theater is mad intimidating to me oh 100 like that is tough bro like you got to be a whole different animal to do theater i feel like bro because like you know obviously like they got to remember the entire story they got to remember everything and get it done in one in one go or a musical i like having a comfort no music or musical theater you're telling me i gotta tap dance and doodly-doo i'm like yeah see i'm not dancing i just like that's that's mad work it's hard because like so many actors are into it and they're so like proud about it they're like if you don't do theater you're not a real actor yeah would you do broadway or no i've tried out for it i just i'm gonna be honest i do it's not my forte yeah it's not like where i see myself musical also dude these people like jujitsu you get back they train like athletes yeah these people are it's literally like they're doing it 14 hours a day they're sitting there like training their bodies for like right i want to train twice a day in jujitsu i don't want to you know i want to be able to do so it's i know somebody will do it better than me you know and also it's just like the one i just saw my first broadway shows when we were filming gilmore what did you say i saw the outsiders as the first one like dude they're insane performers but like it also just wasn't my you know cup of tea right it was i mean they're amazing but And then I saw, no, yeah, I saw O'Mary. O'Mary's sick. Who was in that? I don't know. I don't know. But sometimes they have like big people that come in for like a couple months. Yeah, but O'Mary is basically Abe Lincoln is gay. And he's fucking his union soldiers. And then Mary Todd Lincoln is a drunken whore. What? And there's just like really fast skits. And it's all fucked up humor. Dude, I remember. We're going to New York. I got to see gay Abe Lincoln ace cap. Dude, you'll fuck with it. Let's watch. It was a good, I was like, I could get behind this. That's hilarious. So when you booked Shameless, did it feel like a big deal at the time? Or was it just like, oh, just a job? I think ever since I was like a kid, the way I think my parents always like, because we're from the Midwest. You're from like a similar place on the East Coast. But I grew up small town, like for the most part, really out here. We didn't talk about it like that. My mom was like, I think my, no, my mom was like, I think my mom was like, my mom cried. She didn't want me to do it. Why? Because she didn't want me to go on a TV show. Like fucking wasn't trying to make her kid a Hollywood person. She's just like, what the fuck? Like I was just looking for a little money for him to save up to college and give my only child something to do. Right. And my dad's like, let him do it. It's not going to go past the pilot. And then she's like, all right, we'll fucking. That's like the third most longest running show on television. We never moved out to LA. I moved out to LA personally when I was like 17. My dad finished out like that season with me as like, you know, as soon as I turned 18, moved out here officially by myself. Cause they had to be on set with you until you turned 18. Technically. Yeah. You can do the Chesapeake, you know, when you're 14, but my parents weren't going to let me do that. I mean, I was also deciding if I want to go to college. Yeah. Were you, were you an out of control? Like, like dude, honestly, me personally, I was fucking nuts when I was like 13, 14. If you gave me fucking a million dollars at that, dude, they say like Bieber was, I'm like, dude, all the guy really did. It was just street race to Lamborghini. If you gave me Bieber's money at that age, I'd be dead. So that's why I'm like, what, like, what was like your, I mean, we were, we were pushing it. I mean, for like fucking like public school, Midwest kids, you know, it wasn't like, yo, let's go fucking like be a Hollywood lifestyle. Like if anything, I come out here with my friends. I had fucking 16 years old. I have a bunch of weed and fucking knives in my backpack. And we go and sneak into LA parties. I remember I'd see Jeff Ross there when I was like 16. And Jeff Ross had, and he had corn, he had cornrows at this time. And I would go up and fuck with him. He had no idea who I was. I'd be like, let me get your number, bro. Like, and I just, I would start texting him random shit. And I would always see him there. And he'd be like, who the fuck is this kid in vans and like fucking bandana with cornrows in a backpack at like a Hollywood party. And I have like all this fucking weed. and like paraphernalia in there that i think is cool are you getting recognized at this point like do people know who you are you're yeah yeah it's starting to come about i think it was i mean yeah it was awkward in public school i didn't like that let's go into that in a second but i i i because i it was awkward to have that but but it's funny because i feel like power and shameless i feel like are two shows that you like because you play like uh like a kid in the hood and like so i feel like we get a little more leeway i think maybe me and michael a little bit more than you because it's still on show it was on showtime and like all that stuff so i feel like you guys probably got a little bit more leeway but like if you were caught doing crazy shit it's probably not as bad as like if someone on like riverdale got caught doing crazy i mean yeah like we got a fucking yeah i mean like handset like i was talking about this with my mom the other day actually about bad shit she's like what the fuck did you do in high school yeah I wasn't that bad i think this is bad i don't know if i should say this i wanted to fucking sell weed yeah i i wanted like i was i knew i could have easily done it i could have fucking been good yeah like i i don't think my mom knows the story but i got and she's here right now because it's mother's day but um this is a true story i got caught selling weed in in uh when i was 12 and um the kid's mom uh who my co-dealer was she caught us and she's like i'm gonna call your dad tomorrow and let and so like let him know and had my older brother who was like i'm gonna call your dad tomorrow and let him so like let him know and had my older brother who was at boarding school he played my dad on the phone and now i guess you know was weed like a serious thing in new hampshire yes because how old are you and yeah it was or no wrote on fuck my back um how old are you uh i'm 29 okay i'm 26 so it's like yeah same age group like when you're 13 like you're still like yo if i have a gram of weed like feds might come especially back yeah you think you're gonna get like like this is like you're going to prison like you're doing sketchy shit for weed like i remember this is bad i used to have fucking like he's like probably like eight years old and i'm like i'm gonna go to prison like i'm gonna go to prison like i'm gonna go to prison like i'm gonna go to prison like i'm gonna go to prison like i'm gonna go to prison like i'm 18 year old kids i'm like 13 they dropped palm all cigarettes off in my mailbox but here's the thing though like you were like the kid from shameless you were like kind of the bad boy where like you were doing the shit because you also like kind of were like that in the show but it's but i i don't even think the show had you don't think it like dude that's just like that was our friend group yeah that's fair like i'm saying like if if i kicked it up another notch it wouldn't have been good like we had we're not gonna we're not gonna drop this but we had friends in high school that we had friends in high school that we had friends in high school went missing in jail for multiple days and we couldn't find them until we found their record online and and dude this is like you're only getting arrested for weed and shit but like this was the midwest they wanted to fuck everybody we could cut this if you want but i think i did see in some interview where you did talk about it but you did you get you got caught by the cops yeah no i got arrested in burbank when i was 18 what happened this motherfucker was lit they put me they put me in jail for the night in burbank for what did you do i wasn't high but my so they fucking pulled me over and i'm in i just bought this fucking red hot bmw with things pushing like 600 horsepower it's stick shift it's fucking like it looks crazy and i wasn't driving like a dick at least that i mean i'm 26 i can't remember as much i would like to say i wasn't um and you know my buddy was smoking a joint in the car and i didn't smoke yet it's always the homie man and uh and fucking i see the lights going like fuck put it out put it out and the cop runs up and there's still smoke coming out the window and i'm like no man sorry officer this doesn't look good and he's like you know i'm like let me comply he's like all right you know i'm trying to like chat him up i'm fucking 18 i'm shaking yeah i'm like shaking my girlfriend brielle's in the back brielle's in the back it's the night of her birthday oh my god and fucking i know i know his ex pretty well yeah great girl so fucking then he's like yeah step out of the car and do a dui roadside test i'm like all right cool like i've been pulled over and i'm like i'm gonna do a dui roadside test and he's like yeah i'm gonna do a by cops in chicago they've caught me with weed they fucking you know been in the middle of nowhere but they recognize you in chicago right no they don't they don't really care like that's like dude we're in high school look like kids weirdly cops all every new york cop watches power so if me and michael are in new york like we're we could pretty much do it but also there was levels of how my character me developed like 16 was completely different than what 23 looked like after shameless right like i was also still very young looking i looked like every little fucking white boy on the side of the street like then by the time you're 23 you start coming into your like your own look that's when i noticed it was heavy really heavy right after the show ended like 21 when i was doing all my social media shit right more than when i was 16 it would be like in certain areas when you're 16 like people your age but not like cops in the middle of nowhere they might like after a while but yeah it was like i remember so i was going back to like the whole rest shit i remember i'm fucking middle of chicago they catch me with weed and everything all right just pay like 100 bucks for a paraphernalia charger good this guy he fucking pulls me out the car and he's like i'm not high actually yeah i didn't smoke and he's just like yeah put your hands behind your back we're under arresting you for the suspicion of marijuana i'm like fuck so i just started i'm like i'm i think i started crying or some shit i'm fucking i'm like 18 years old what season on the show is this like season eight yeah it's like season eight um so you're in the mirror in the smack yeah i'm like right in the middle of it and so they bring me to like the fucking hospital take my blood i spend the night at jail um brielle and her mom come pick me up at six a.m it's our birthday man it was sick i was on uninformal probation for two two over two years i had to go to 20 aa meetings i got kicked out after 20 what because i apparently i don't know why i got kicked i was like you know it wasn't you know rude or anything i was just coming up there trying to do you know i think i showed up late one too many times and i didn't vibe with that so but it's okay you were were you filming the show at this point yeah i was i was living in north hollywood and i would just skate today wow where were you guys shooting uh warner brothers wow yeah i would just like hop on my board every day and just go skate down there and so when you went back to work on monday or whatever it was because everyone like because it obviously hit tmz and everything right it took a while it took like i think i got her one month i know i think brielle's birthday is in november i guess so i think it came out like within a month month and a half oh you thought you were scot-free like those three weeks no but i remember i remember the night that it did because there was an arrest record I'm so young. I was like, I remember I was like, I was really upset about it. So I'm like, oh, you know, now I'm like, this is fucking hilarious. Like, you know, you're like, I'm like, what the fuck? But I mean, you're embarrassed at that age. Like, and I think the way that it was produced online, it looked like I was drunk. It looked like people, people like I was getting texts like, yo, why are you driving fucked up? I'm like, I wasn't even high. I was like, I didn't even hit it yet. Yeah. You know the way that they spin it. They want to make it look a certain way. But also like, you're like, a lot of times people online criticize like celebrities or this or that. And they're like, whatever, whatever. It's like, if what you did was under a microscope, like to these people who just, you know, live in Nebraska, whatever. Like, would it, would you be squeaky clean? Like, let's be honest here. It's just like, yeah, I can smoke weed. That shit happens. All right, guys, we're going to take a quick break from the episode. So, you filmed the show in L.A., but in Chicago. So, how did that work? We had split after six episodes. We'd do six episodes all around here. Whatever shit we need to do. Like, sometimes we'd film San Pedro and do, like, Chicago stuff there. Then go to Chicago for another week. Do, like, 100 pages, five, six days. Do two units. Then fly back here. Do another six. Then do that. And just fucking that. Go back to public school. Okay. Damn, that was moving. Yeah, that's crazy. So, you went to public school in L.A. or in Chicago? No, Chicago. That's, like, him and I have known each other. My roommate, Marcello. We've known each other since second grade. Damn. So, what was school like at that time? I mean, like, I feel school didn't start feeling different until high school. Right. I think that was it. You know, I think high school just in general. And then you have the show start getting bigger. And teachers are noticing. Kids are noticing. It's, you know. It was where I think I felt awkward a little bit. Yeah, was it a positive or a negative? I think it was, like, I mean, I don't want to say negative, like, as in, like, oh, whoa. But, I mean, it wasn't. wasn't it was hard you know it was hard you know high school's hard for everybody just as it is and then you know trying to balance adult work that you don't even understand what adult work means yet and i was like you know trying to decide if i want to go to college and stuff and then it was like i'm like fuck college i don't want to go sorry to everybody like i mean i would like to you know like i was i mean like i would like to go one day like i like english i like writing and shit but i was like i want to make music i want to fucking make clothing do acting so i was like all right let's just figure this out you know right so so people in high school like obviously they think like maybe people on the outside think oh he's famous he's got money he's in high school he's lit like honestly like i could see how it could be a negative because like upper class can be like well who the fuck does this kid think he is like yeah was was it that kind of energy or like i think you'll always find that energy anywhere in life doesn't matter like do you get it as a black belt in jujitsu like who the fuck is this guy from other black well you know like it's like you find it in any sector of life you know it's and i think yeah with our jobs it can get a little bit more highlighted and what it is so i just think it was just a lot of energy there's a lot of energy to handle as a young kid and but at the end of the day it was amazing grateful experience you know you learn so much so i wouldn't say it's like a negative it was just sometimes awkward yeah it just made it like an awkward conversation for a young kid to have and like try to understand i think by at this age you like i know how to like navigate that shit like you know somebody starts making you feel like that guy whatever but like 16 years old it's like yeah it feels a little detrimental to you like what is going on fucking do you feel like uh when you were shooting shameless are you like i want to be um a movie star are you like i just want to keep working like what what was going through your mind like eight nine ten season of shameless where like it could wrap up at any time did you want to be like be the biggest actor in the world did you just want to work like what was going through your head i mean i think like like in general like you have these opportunities like oh i want to fucking like grind kill it but like then you know you spend years after you like you need to balance of like what is like the actual way of doing instead of telling yourself you know it was a hard fucking place yeah dude it's a hard place it's a hard industry yes you know it's it's you can do a lot but it definitely takes a lot of time it takes a lot of energy doesn't matter where you're at in my opinion um i'm still learning every day i don't know anything yeah um so i think by the time like shameless is ending i was like yeah i mean i didn't really do the audition circuit until shameless ended i wasn't i wasn't auditioning like while shameless was on well how many months a year did you guys shoot like five but then but then when i go home i'm like i'm in school like i think the only things i read for while in shameless was a movie called white boy rick uh-huh i was very close to that and that's really the only and i shot power in the middle of shameless i did that i did that episode yeah yeah okay yeah let's get into that because what people don't know is ethan played young tommy in the original power yeah so how did that come how did that like happen so there's a director you know anthony hemingway of course and anthony was on the show for many years and i was worked with him um and yeah he just hit up my team he's like all right i want to do a flashback scene with this and i remember him and courtney kemp yeah those are the people that i remember from there it was like one day shoot came in and then uh you shot that in new york or la new york uh-huh i think we were in jamaica queens yep yeah and so you you did the flashback you played young tommy someone else played young ghost who was that actor do you remember michael i think his name was christopher christopher i don't i i don't i could be wrong but um yeah dude i was i was 19 and i was young yeah i was young so did you read for the power origins that that happened yeah i got like one audition and i was like the lemonati has spent decades keeping lemon on top and lime in the shadows their lemon agenda has infiltrated everything even our music hit song named after the color of lemons not a coincidence big lemon has been pulling strings in the industry for years think about it but now seven up is fighting back with their new lime lemon soda now lime comes first seven up flip the sip quick like there wasn't really much to it and then what no i mean for the one that they're shooting now you read for that yeah it was like that's so weird because i mean we we met the guys but it is weird that i know spent is one of my good friends oh yeah i filmed a movie with spence oh wow yeah spence and i worked together on a movie called going places in 2021. nice but and they were just like yeah they just wanted to go a different way that's so weird because you were a technically young tommy originally but i mean i'm sure the show would do great yeah they did look good they did yeah okay i mean it's sick that they got an opportunity he's very new into it right so i mean it's a great opportunity for him a hundred percent yeah sometimes it's weird dude i mean but that's like that's it's just another example of just the industry right you know you like it's it's business right you know you can sit there and be bit about it all day right you know they don't it's just what happens you know push for another day get your hands in other buckets so you're not sitting there worrying about that dude of course you know it's like yeah i could sit there and be like this but i'd rather you know wish them like that's that's a great opportunity he should be through the roof that he has this you know in his ballpark right now so what do you do to like kind of when you know us three you know we auditioned we auditioned we auditioned we auditioned we auditioned we're you know yeah the industry's in a weird place right now what do you do to like kind of stay creative and you know you make music you're doing jiu jitsu now i think yeah music and jiu jitsu both of those things main things that all feeds back into like these three acting jiu jitsu music it all feeds into itself i think to be able to help me feel creative travel um i think traveling's been a big part of it too right yeah you were just in brazil for for yeah like seven weeks wow brazil yeah brazil's sick i was in rio that's fine yeah i mean i had no idea what to expect out of rio i was in mexico with my family right before that um spent new year's eve out there and then yeah flew straight to brazil i had some buddies from chicago that were i stayed with them for a few nights and then my jiu jitsu team um which i was telling you my professor got his coral belt and then you you don't know what that is he knows what that is no i did i did jiu jitsu for oh you know what a coral belt is i i don't know what that but i did jiu jitsu for for uh maybe two years but i never belted up because i would i would be in new york and then i would i would shoot and then i would do jiu jitsu you know three four months and then i would go to a new place go back to la so i was just going back and forth so i never got to belt up but like i was like no i hopped around gyms in the beginning it's tough i mean that's like with traveling i started i started in uh when i was filming happy gilmore i started in jersey city yeah a place called tra jiu jitsu shout out tra wait so why did you start doing it what was dude my buddy quentin he was um a cop on set and he's like you know he's like we like the show that and he's like he's a black belt big guy he's like come pull up and train i was that's that was the year i started working out heavy i stopped like drinking for 10 months i kind of you know i think i was like i was about to turn 25 and i was like just over everything i was like i need to kick everything out of my life i don't like how i feel i'm like i feel like a pudgy piece of i don't want to take off my shirt i'm like i i know i need to change this i already know how to work out let me just lock it all in started running every day started just like actually and i got myself shredded like where i always wanted to be and it feels great you feel me like it's amazing i mean like i still i'm like i've been able to keep this for two and a half years now and you know trained myself to where in high school dude i was very unathletic i was a skater i could probably not even run an 830 without like yeah start wheezing and like panting and like having a panic attack right you know to where my god i can run like a sub seven easy right um and then i was filming there and just working out and i dropped a plate on my throat wait what do you mean i dropped a fuck like bench bench press on your throat and what happened thank god somebody was there to pick it up off me bro it slipped it wasn't even heavy i was i don't know i i was just capped up and i'm just like you know you're sitting there adjusting your hands yeah and i throw it up i don't know i get too cocky and it just comes down hits me right here my fucking dude picks it up i'm like holy bro that scared the i mean like my vocal cords were for like three weeks and i was like i gave myself whiplash and then this i met this guy like three days later he's like come pull up and train so then i pulled up and trained like two days after that and you just were addicted yeah it was like he's there will they tell me like you're gonna get the bug you're gonna get the bug and i'm like what the fuck's a bug and then i was like yo i need to figure out how to do this i just started going three times a day there um went back to la found a gym there trained at that one for about eight months and then switched over to a different gym i have another one in new york i'll train at with some friends you know try to just like train and you know miami and train in brazil um did you go to brazil to train it was like a mixture of it like i had my friends from chicago that were going to be there i gave me on to go down and then my professor um getting his coral belt in rio right i'm gonna be like this this is probably bad but i'm gonna be honest like i knew jiu jitsu was from brazil but i didn't know it was from rio or like how deep how deep it went in there and then like as i got back started going there because you know i'm a white belt and i got to see the whole grace you might have ceremony with fucking everybody in there i'm like this is insane like learning like the lineage of it i read hickson's book breathe um which made like after i got back i was like yo this is deep here i'm like i'm gonna be honest i didn't know what to expect out of rio like i wanted to go to manaos in the amazon like that was like really what i was gunning for yeah and then i got to rio and i went out like the second night to a place called peter de sol and it's just like it's beautiful it's just a bunch of like bunk music you're out and i remember i think it was like the music is like what got me i was like i want to stay here i want to like learn like more about this music did you like go out and go crazy and get into trouble there i mean like yeah but like i was still training basically every day so it's like like it's a very like the lifestyle how you feel out there like yeah i don't know even drinking doesn't feel like how it feels here like i'm still waiting you know i i'd stay up all night still wake up and go train and then how are the girls over there riel if you're watching stop watching i mean women are beautiful obviously it's like it's a latin american country you have a girlfriend right now or now i am talking to a girl from there she's yeah oh from brazil yeah wow i am oh yeah wow you're gonna go back huh um she's very good to do it yeah so i mean it's very it's fire though oh yeah no i mean it's very i've learned a little portuguese because my because my half my my mom's family's from mexico so i can like hit a little bit of spanish but i'm gonna be honest spanish portuguese how did you meet her dude we met off a dating app randomly like you were ripping raya and no this was you dirty bastard i was ripping bumble bro oh that's dark that's dark horny motherfucker he was ripping bumble in rio bro i mean i was like fuck it i mean raya is in a rio place like that's sao paulo like if you want to if you want to be on raya like sao paulo because it's way more like cheeky like he's saying he's not hollywood he's like raya sao paulo because bumble is yeah you're not gonna i mean not in that sense but it's like nobody in fucking rio is on yeah really like it's a very like bumble you're gonna find a shorty from the favelas and you know hey no problem with that no problem with that everybody's cool with that everybody get the real culture so you met around bumble dude i mean like i downloaded for like i was like i barely talked to anybody i met up i went on like one day or some and then her and i like dude we had a beautiful connection she's amazing did she know you were an actor or anything or i just had she was like yeah i think you look she's like you i feel like i know you and i'm like she's like how do i know and i'm like i you know i'm bum i'm like i don't know who the fuck this is either i'm like what if this is some like weird ass person too i'm like i don't use this for a reason like she's like i feel like i know you did you get arrested in burbank nine years ago she goes you're a felon from burbank right on the loose in brazil that's a yeah he's on the run um that's dope yeah so i mean dude it just really random um and ended up being a beautiful experience we met in part of downtown the history of rio is also beautiful that's like there's these like aquifers there um called the lapa arches i mean i find this interesting because i'm a nerd for history yeah um they're older than the united states they're built in 1740. yeah so you start thinking about just the the culture and the history of everything i'm not like this is yeah he's like talking about the history of rio i'm like does she have any friends for me i'm coming to rio you're like so the boys are pulling up you're like so teach me something in portuguese please please uh is she gonna come out here you think i i would like to she's never she's never she's no just come down there with me all right no no fuck that fuck saying here let's just go down to rio bro it's beautiful you can it's everybody's outside working out it's a very health conscious place do you feel safe there yeah yeah have you ever felt like because i mean my phone got my phone got robbed out of my hand by moto attacks yeah that's what i mean like yeah wait so someone was driving by and they yeah yeah i know i wasn't looking was there anything crazy on there you're like oh no oh my god no i should have like um i mean hey i only left good photos on there so if it ever gets leaked i hope it gets leaked yeah anything that gets leaked it's doing me justice yeah me i'm like the stock goes um so so the music that you make uh if if i were you could tell me if i'm wrong if i were to um categorize it i feel like um your inspiration may be like low peep a little bit exactly yeah i feel like you know if like if you want to like it's easy to generalize in that like specific realm of like what's like the artist that made me want to start making music from our like era of what was rappers who has a little p juice world x fire go back a little bit further joey badass pro era crew capital steeze underachievers flatbush zombies were like the first people that like i started meeting out in music scenes when i was a teenager and you know then coming out here and starting to meet producers and starting to kind of like be in that soundcloud scene um you know going to ski mass shows i think uh i was going to lyrical lemonade stuff when i was in high school and whatnot crazy i just did cole just actually posted it um we did a short last year hell yeah so he's going to be in the show he's going to be in the show he's going to be in the show he's uh he's going to be selling vhs tapes that i think in may in chicago this end of this month so you know just getting to like kind of work yeah i think a lot of that whole realm and then as i've gotten older you know meeting different people learning like i've been producing a lot for the past year now hell yeah um michael i was just about to say do you do you make your own beats and or now i am um i haven't put i haven't um posted or put out anything that i produce myself but um yeah i work enough and then bro and then just been working on engineering myself using vocals trying to build chains and just like working with friends that i've known i think going come back from brazil excuse me learning a lot of the different like drums and shit out there like i was able to meet some artists out there excuse me do a couple sessions and shit and yeah i'm just fucking just kind of see where it takes what do you use to make beats since you started fl fl go it's the best what made you want to start actually rapping like actually doing it i've always wanted to make music yeah i feel like every kid like i mean no i'm i wanted to make music since i was five years old yeah like i just i love music i think like especially as i travel i think that's also why like going to a place like brazil you come back and it's so easy to get caught up in why what why am i acting i'm doing it because everybody else is you know famous has money it's right you know it's i want to be stood next to this and i think it's that's where we lose a lot of ourselves in our craft it's like it's art yeah in the fucking day it's art make something that can induce something in somebody whether it's comedy mystery just entertainment right now and like bring people together music fucking bring people together dance like what was carnival just millions of people in the street dancing did you go to carnival this year mike nah i didn't go but i i slacked off i didn't go to i didn't go to carnival but there's carnivals in like that you went to the one it's all over in brazil yeah yeah oh yeah i went to the one in rio i'm curious what the difference is uh for the carnival in um they're different everywhere like jamaica there's there's barbados there's um one of the best ones is in trinidad though i'm not gonna lie i heard trinidad yeah then i know it's salva or salvador is really huge and um brazil i know what they all have in common and it's thick women for your boy that's what i know because i be seeing those videos of the outfits and the shit you're going we gotta go please it's a lot you go out much in la or not really no no the only time i ever i saw you two weeks ago at a crystal shop i was like my mom yeah i was like ethan what up i was like you gotta do the pod bro um yeah i mean i'll go out sometimes but not really as much anymore yeah um you ripped it with jeff ross when you were 16 so you're like i'm over it jeff ross and i really hit it out i literally saw him last night i still have his number it was fucking just like sorry what was it we saw him at a party child what was that what did i say i was gonna go up to him and say like i was gonna i was gonna start i don't know i was hammered i was hammered whatever i was gonna say i shouldn't have said it that was do you um do you remember was there a moment when you were in at some type of party or doing some type of thing where uh you felt like oh this is pretty like hollywood or you saw someone that you recognized like oh this is crazy or i mean yeah we fucking you know when you you run around here for like five plus years and you fucking you know start meeting people yeah you're gonna fucking run into some shit was there something that like kind of made like this was crazy or have you did you have a moment like that i mean that child do you remember anything that like that it's like that is like cool that like that's like cool to say um if it's not we can i'm like trying to think i mean i think i mean when we went to that super bowl party like beaver performance oh i mean yeah okay yeah like getting into stuff like that like but i think yeah like it becomes a little bit average and you're like i think that's like the part that's weird you're like i think it was like yeah just trying to oh i fucking know what was that chateau party we fucking broke into yeah we snuck into some chateau party like oh yeah it was i forget it was for that movie bike riders at austin oh the awesome yeah and i remember we figure out like where the after party is because everybody's like super shush shush yeah and i look at him and i'm like we're gonna fucking break in so we just i remember i pull up behind chateau i'm in my i'm in the same i'm driving like my mom's like mazda from 2009 the window's fucking busted right now i'm like she looks fucking mad ratchet i pull up behind the chateau throw it in some like illegal parking in an alley fucking like just curve my wheels hard as i can so nobody can tell me and and fucking i i'm like all right let's go i'm like i'm not fucking paying for parking if we don't get into this shit so we just go up there and then the woman's like oh you on the list and i'm like yeah i should and she's like oh i don't see you and i go oh really fuck them i go cello who was the name she goes no like i i know you that you guys can come in and i go oh really i really appreciate it and then i look at cello and i go we made it in yeah face card got the boy you know i think it's like it's like little shit like that you're fine but it's only fun because i'm fucking running around my friend from second grade on some bullshit like we're just like on bullshit like we don't know it's only fun because you're really not supposed to be there like we're just like we're talking to people and they're like what are you like who do you know you're i'm like no one the premier after party stuff where everyone's in suits and like you're supposed to be there just like oh my god kim the best shit because i live with my homie from high school like you know so when we go to supper it's like oh we would we were doing the same stuff to high school parties when we were 15 years old to the upperclassmen now we're just doing it with austin butler and jason momoa you know what i mean it's just like that's why it's i think it's like yeah you run around you're kind of like have that you know mentality of kids like i don't really give a fuck where i'm like i only care if i'm like with my friends yeah like you know you've been i'm sure you we've both been into that shit by ourselves you know on a on a lone la night and you're like you kind of get home you're like i need church yeah yeah yeah yeah church bro did do you watch a lot of movies and tv stuff or not not really yeah no i always do but our shit right now and it's just it's just we're not at a good state he said it not me but no i agree covid covid fucked us yeah like that's just like it fucked our entertainment system it's where we've taken a real hit and i'm sure like there's so many things that can be made it's just hard to find what is out there and sift through stuff it's where it's just so much stimulation you just it's hard to see like yeah dude if anything i fucking like animation movies like what is that i watched um not more uh lilo and stitch live action that shit was good bro pulled at my heart like that's what i mean i'm like fuck this series i can't watch dark shit anymore like i it i i've been sitting on tiktok too much i've been i've been watching cop videos on tiktok and people fighting and i i start sitting there and like i wake up i'm like i'm pretty sure in my dream i was like this in my dream like you know like the pov of the cops i woke up i'm like what the fuck is going on dude i know i i you have to like curate your own for you page now to not be so i'm watching like tv shows like modern family with ai dubs over it why am i far gone i don't know why and i'm sitting here and i go dude my brain's actually fucking hurting yeah we gotta get him back to rio dude i'm like i'm like dude what am i do i'm just like sitting there smoking like why am i doing this do that to you though bro i know it's like i'm like you know it's probably like bad have i'm like why i don't even enjoy this um but yeah what the fuck were we saying before the what kind of like uh movies and shows like have you liked maybe a top three yeah it's always like watch all the time all the time he's like lilo and stitch the original lilo and stitch the live lilo and sit and lilo and stitch live no dude dark night's always when you can go back to but that's because heat ledger chicago too we shot that was just amazing show and our amazing movie in chicago you know he's talking about the heat ledger one yeah of course you can always go back and watch entourage dude please yeah all the time that's how you walked up in the crystal my mic what's up how we doing in here have you have you had any like cool entourage moments uh like like where you felt like that was kind of where it felt like your life a little bit have you had had that i think it's just you when you go out with your friends like you know like if you get to like mob out your friends like you know we all like run up in like chateau like i'm like you know something cool slides a night and i'm able to get everyone into a club and like we get fucking bottle service and like you know i'm like all right this is sick i'm with my friend what's the most you ever spent in the club i don't think i've like besides like type shit the kids getting comp i don't yeah i've never really spent money in a club besides like one time and i think maybe it was like under a thousand like wow like i've never bought in a table i fucking wish i know right like i've never i've never bought in tables usually like go find people like you go find fucking find like the rapper like the producers i know i'm like yo let me get some fucking drinks bro i'm like i'm fucking doing that shit yeah i'm i've i've grabbed a bottle from a tape from some of these tables just put it under my shirt we've we've done that before we've done that multiple times but yeah like i've done yeah we fucking just like just not enough to grab somebody else's stuff it up your shirt have you ever gotten to like an argument with anyone like like famous or anything out anything like that or now famous i don't know i mean like if they're fucking like on some other shit i just like i'll literally fucking ignore them yeah yeah um because i mean there's just so many fucking people i'm like i can't stand hot shot at it yeah dude i can't stand you get along with everyone on shameless yeah because because we're we weren't like the way that we ran our cast was just so different in my opinion like it never felt like we were shooting a like quote-unquote tv show how other people look at it like i'm here with jeremy and i'm like i'm gonna fucking skate around all day and like try to beat him up and he's gonna fucking they're gonna throw me in a trash can yeah like you know it wasn't and then we're gonna do our scenes is it was it a real thing and you can tell me if they didn't allow you to have lines on set yeah sides like we were trained not to have sides on set you at all you couldn't yeah wow like i was like like traditionally like how the fuck does that work you had to be prepared before you got the set and and so what if you like forgot a line or like you just yell lie like would they give it to you i mean yeah like but i mean like i just feel like a rehearsal process like soon as like we start here so it's like it was dialed like especially working with people like william h macy and emmy like oh i mean i know how to memorize my lines because of william h macy and like getting shocked as a child from him being in that did he teach you anything like yeah specific yeah i mean like dude i'm a little kid and he's like you don't look his don't know the fucking lines like yeah he's like learn your fucking lines kid and you know he's like in his frank mindset i remember like i think he was going at me like a little hard one time and you know like because we were it was an intense show like they're dealing with heavy shit like you want to fucking get that kid primed up and he kind of realized what he's doing he's like oh fuck and he looks over at my dad and my dad's looking and he's like i'm so sorry my dad's like no keep fucking going he needs to learn his lines yeah yeah and so i think you know being under those pressures but still felt like you were cared for because i think you know i talked to my dad my dad's like no no no like he's he's in his style of work if you want to be in that and you want to grow then you need to listen to these people right and like respect them right um so i mean i think yeah learning like that like i mean i was sometimes i'll be fucking lazy like i think i was doing like an audition the other day i was like trying to be like slow with him like all right let me like you know read the size throughout the audition and then like all right now we're running it i'm done with it yeah but it comes pretty fast yeah uh did you ever get uh in trouble on set or do anything crazy or whatever or you everything was kind of like yeah i mean i always fucked around on set i was always trying to fucking i was always trying to fucking like get under the the nails of everybody but like as a little kid yeah i would always skate on the lot i think i was telling this story um with connor like the other week at some premiere we were at it was at the roommates premiere um and we were i was just saying i escaped where they're a lot the security guards had like a picture of me in their office supposedly they i remember they would i remember i was actually with john wells son who was the showrunner we're like 11 years old and he skated too so we're riding our boards and i see this like um security officer go stop get off your boards and i look and i go run and he i pick up my board he picks up his board we sprint up to like one like where my trailer is i fucking slam the door my dad's working in there i just close it shut you're like like banging on he's like get the fuck out of there and then we open it up he goes what the get out here what are you guys doing and then jack goes my dad's john wells i don't think he's just like doesn't know what to say and the guy just goes close he's like have a good day yeah that me and mike used to always because we used to like that day we had the lamborghini truck and mike's r8 we would just drive to set um we will park anywhere park anywhere we would like be like drifting like doing all crazy stuff and the security guards just hated us because who are the other shows that filmed on our lot it was like at that time they were filming like a vanessa hudgens movie and like um gotham who who was next was that last they were filming um tracy uh tracy morgan show too i forgot the name of it yeah i guess tracy morgan was not as as pgs but like it was all like very actor-y actors and then it was just power and then every time like like you'd have dirk pull up you'd have all these people okay so that no you mean the actor reactors yeah it's like then we had shameless right like and like how we were like you know and like i feel like that's like i I don't, like you said, I don't really go out much. I don't have a lot of actor friends. - Yeah. - It's like a fucking, at the end of the day, i talk more to like my guys at jujitsu than like most people in my in my day-to-day life do you feel like when you go and do other movies and other stuff that's not um uh shameless or with your friends do you feel like you don't get along with actor reactors i feel like i don't as much i mean yeah it's like you know i think it's just different views of how people do it and that's fine you know you won't you won't be best friends with everybody you work with right i just also yeah i think like you as an actor you know what actor reactor means you know that's just the lemonati has spent decades keeping lemon on top and lime in the shadows their lemon agenda has infiltrated everything even our music that hit song named after the color of lemons not a coincidence big lemon has been pulling strings in the industry for years think about it but now seven up is fighting back with their new lime lemon soda now lime comes first seven up flip the sip not who i am right you know i don't it's a job to me i mean it's a crazy job but like i just you know i'm not like i love film i love that stuff but it's just you know how i like to do my style stuff like i love being on set i love you know getting to work with everybody but yeah i mean i think every job is different to different like law and order is very like how they run it's very similar to shameless how many episodes did you do in your life how many episodes did you do in your life how many episodes did you do in your life three three and and and like how did they run it over there just i mean it's very like let me say shameless a well-oiled machine you come in boom boom boom boom boom um it was actually like i remember the last one i did was in october of last year and i was like sitting with mariska and i was like it reminded me of being like trained on set she's like all right we're gonna do it like this like man i'm like was she directing she's directed and stuff but like the way that like dude's fucking 20 seasons how they'll come in there it's like they they run the set like you know not in a bad way but she's just like this is what i want getting me worked into i'm like oh this is sick this is like you know you're an actor but like you're also still able to have a real conversation i see that you're locked into your work like you know this is yeah still a person like adam sandler still a person like how you know they run their lines it's just i'm talking to you all right now i'm gonna do my lines yeah yeah what was working with sandler like how is that i mean he's fucking he is like how he is you know i think you know you're like oh fuck at first like what the fuck is this crazy it's cool like you know trying to keep your cool under it honestly i think jiu-jitsu helped me with that a lot like because i found in the middle i'm like all right you know because there's also dude on the side you're dealing there's just so much energy right first week steve buscemi's right there bad bunnies right there fucking john daly you know all your each person is in the presence of all this and you're just like what the fuck it's a lot of energy dude yeah so i was like yeah honestly i think jiu jitsu found me for a reason at that point 100 because i was able just to chill after that do you watch a lot of stand-up at all do you watch a lot of stand-up at all do you watch a lot of stand-up at all do you yeah um i like stand-up but i you know who i watch sometimes um i used to fuck with dave chapelle back in the day like a little bit he got a little too repetitive on this shit i don't know if that's was it okay to say you like dave chapelle i mean it'll upset some people but i mean you could say that you like i feel like i mean i haven't i love dave chapelle i feel like we're at a point where like i don't know like the sensitivity in me it like it's gone like i don't care like i mean the sense of yeah it's there it's just oh is what you know like what like you're just gonna not like i don't know like dave chapelle they're netflix is giving a hundred million dollars to make specials like you're gonna cancel every i mean every i mean every comedian you got fucking everybody's saying crazy shit it's comedy what's um uh no i like matt rife actually i saw him last night i fuck with matt rife i think over trevor wallace i trevor wallace is funny yeah but i i've matt rife every time i watch him like yo you you fuck it you're funny you're funny you're good at playing into your shit listen right now i directed a mgk wiz khalifa music video and trevor wallace makes an appearance this episode comes out on tuesday which means it's out today go watch it um but uh trevor's dope he was bro he came to set he was so funny he was so prepared his girlfriend played one of the um because it's called girl next door she played one of the girls next door they were the best i had so much fun so i love trevor um i sent you my birthday party right no you didn't also you got to be there also uh uh my birthday party you know i'm not missing your fucking birthday so yeah ethan i wanted to ask you something bro being a skater when you were young who was what was your team like who did you fuck with like a lot like as far as i remember like that those are my first celebrities like tori season six when they had like the whole white boy carl so that shit was fun yeah it went viral it was crazy it was fun but it wasn't like i don't think i expected anything to click like that what i really liked from that season is that i got to spend a lot of like doing more there was like parts i got to get emotional and like build that character which i wanted right and i think like the the joke fucking shit with him i was just like i was able to like you know fucking just pull off and be fucking like dumbass with it, you know? Yeah, do you have an all-time favorite scene? Like a specific scene that you remember? or a day on set, a memory that you're like, wow, this is like one of my favorites. - I don't, I think as a whole, you would have, I would have that a lot. Like at the end of the day- - Bro, you've been on this shit for 10 years. How the fuck do you remember all of that? - Yeah, it's a hard one. I mean, we had so many fucking cool things that we did. We burned a Tesla as the last scene, like on Warner Brothers. I fucking crashed a McLaren on Warner Brothers, like- - Wow. - You know? - A real one? You crashed a real McLaren on the Warner Brothers? - It wasn't like crazy, but yeah, we fucking like drove it up and they crashed it. It was cool. - That's sick. - Fucking shooting guns since a young kid. Fucking doing, it's just, it was a grateful experience. So many dope people you got to work with. - Yeah, do you have a dream role that you want to do? Like if you could do one thing. - Do you have a cool dream role? - Taylor, make a role for yourself right now. - I'm going to do like a taxi driver type deal. You ever heard of the movie "Harold and Wad"? - Yeah, yeah. - Like that type shit. - Yeah, it's like a whole- - I would say I like directors like Gaspar Noe, I'd love to work with. I love how he did "Enter the Void" because they do these scenes and these films, it's not actor-y films. - Right. - It's like- - Like John Bernthal type shit. - I love John Bernthal. - Yeah, he's a good one. - John Bernthal's fucking sick. - John Bernthal is so tough. - Did you watch him and Shia's interview? - No. - Oh, oh, and Shia's. - Yeah, yeah, of course. - The way back one. - Real ones, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. - It's a great interview, great. Because that's like, that's what I said. It's like, oh, I fucking like, you know, Shia's got his own shit, but still fucking good actors. - Right. - You know, whatever it is, it's like they're able to deliver that performance to the screen because of how they, you know, just are with themselves. - Real people. - You know, Shia may be on his other spectrum of after Channel 8, he's a little bit, you know, I- - We need him on the pod. - But at the same time- - Shia's actually least. - Yeah, dude, I mean, you know, it- - I love that thing, though. - Fuck it, you know, we all got our own shit going on, bro. - Here's the thing, here's the thing what I will say about what Ethan was about to say is like, to do a performance like Shia does or like- - Like Jon Bernthal, you gotta be a little fucking crazy. - I mean, dude, yeah, Jon Bernthal, like, dude, it's like, yeah, if you wanna exist as your own person in this industry, I think with any industry that is like high risk, high reward and there's so much pressure and there's a lot of people that you gotta fucking be a little crazy to stick to yourself. - Right. - Otherwise you're gonna sit around and try to be like everybody else thinking that's where it's gonna get you. You gotta fucking, you gotta stick to your ground and it's fucking hard sometimes to do that. Like people are gonna judge you from other side, but you know, you start to see people like that. It's like, oh, like these are actors like, or it's like Billy Bob Thornton. - Yeah. - Or something my mom said to me. She's like, oh, he doesn't like to walk the red carpet. It's like, it's a fucking job, get it done, go there. You know, why do we need to be on these fucking carpets where people are worshiping, it's weird, it's weird, bro. Like let people enjoy it. - Yeah, what I'll say about Shia is you're not gonna get that performance from Fury if he doesn't choke someone out in New Orleans. You know what I mean? Like, if you're that insane to be-- - They was fucking with him in New Orleans though. - Yeah, I know, but like, he's nuts, but he's nuts in a way where like, you wouldn't get that performance from Fury if he wasn't that guy. - I mean, you watched the Channel 8 interview, right? Or is it Channel 5, his interview? With the last one after the New Orleans. - That shit is so funny, bro. - What did he say? - Where he's like, yo, I got out of fucking jail and I went back down to French quarters and fucking kept drinking. - Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. - Fuck that shit. - Bro, that shit is so, yo, do you haven't seen that? - I did see it, but I saw a clip of it on TikTok. - I was like, yo, that's, I'm like-- - He's like, I fucked up, that's on me. - Horrible, that's tough, bro. - That's on me. - Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. - I'm like, fuck, bro. I'm like, yeah, he's truthful with it. - My God. - Fucking, bro. - He's truthful with it. But I think it, like, you know, like, I like how Gaspar Noe's done his shit. Like, he's just acting as just, you're not doing it much more than what it needs to be. - Right. Do you have a favorite actor? - Mm-mm. - No? - I don't know. Actually, I mean, yes, I shouldn't say that. Like, a lot of our older actors, like, obviously, you fucking know Sandler and that shit. People that I idolize, you know? I idolize a lot of people I got to work with, you know, Emmy, Macy, Cameron, Jeremy, all these people I got to learn with. Steve Buscemi is one I idolize. He was on, when he was on Gilmore, talked to him a little bit, and I was like, this guy's cool. Like, he's a real guy. - And he's funny, too. - Like, that's, but he's just the way he carried himself. I was like, cool actor. I'm like, you get, like, he gets to do fucking, like, goofy shit, and then it does fucking, what is the show that he was in, the gangster show? - Boardwalk Empire. - They shot that on our- - Boardwalk, and I was watching- - Oh, they shot that. - It was weird, too. - Yeah, it's dying to me. - Yeah, I'm like, Boardwalk Empire. I'm like, this motherfucker's scary, and then he's just sitting, and then in Happy Gilmore, he's wearing a tutu. - Yeah, yeah, yeah. - I'm like, I think in my head, it's like, I look at people at that, I'm like, oh, I want to be like, I want to work like you. - Exactly. - I think that's, like, where I look at people like that, and I go, I want to be looked at at that age, how my young self is looking at you. Like, I respect you. You have a honest vibe around you, and I look at your work, and I'm like, you've done so much cool shit, and also, don't stick into these realms. - Or take yourself too seriously. - Yeah, I think that's like, you know, I see these older actors. Like, I would love to meet some of these other people, like, you know, just chew their brain a little bit. But yeah, I think, like, those guys. Like, I idolize the older actors and stuff. - Hell yeah, hell yeah. All right, well, Mike, you got anything else for the kid? I think I grilled him enough for an hour and a half. - Sounds like a good talk, bro. - I'm chillin', bro. I mean, I just love the fact that this motherfucker's a skater, bro. Like, he actually is, like, into the shit, too. And he went to the barracks, bro. I ain't gonna lie, I'm low-key hating on that. - I used to love the barracks. - I used to watch that shit so much, bro. All the fuckin' goats playin' and skating and shit. It's literally, that's literally the ghost shit. I go with the shit right there. - All right, well, I'm gonna start BMX biking. I'll let you guys know how it goes. - Fuck, though. - Please don't do that shit, bro. Please, bro. - Nah, I'm not like-- - Yo, I gotta come to LA, and we actually gotta hang out with Ethan. This motherfucker's-- - At my birthday party. - We'll have some fun with him. - When is your birthday party? - May 27th. - May 27th, all right. - I have all my favorite comedians performing in Brazil at that point. - Stay here, and then we'll go to Brazil on the 28th, and we'll get some fine shit. I have all my favorite comedians. - Well, he got his fine shit already, so me and you gon' have to just figure that out, you know? - Yeah, that's fair. - I'll show you where to go. - Here's the thing, which I'll say now. - Let down a little bumble in there. - So I think we do have to. The club, we're gonna sell 100 tickets for my birthday party. I'm not getting any of the money that's going to the club. But maybe we'll give The Crew Has It listeners, May 27th in LA. I'm not gonna say the club yet, and if I did, we'll have to bleep it. But maybe we'll sell 100 tickets only to listeners of The Crew Has It, so you can come to my birthday party. It's gonna be a live show, kind of like a roast a little bit. All my favorite comedians, Theo Vaughn headlining. It's gonna be a night. So you gotta pull up. It's gonna be. Everyone's gonna be there. It's gonna be lit. Everyone from Power is gonna be there. So maybe we'll do that. But do you have anything to plug, like music or anything that you have coming out? - Me? Yeah, listen to my Spotify. Shit, if you find my socials, just check out my music. - Follow the kid on everything. - Fuck it. - Next time you have something come out, maybe we'll have you come on, co-host with us. - I try to keep it low key and fuck it. Whatever something pops off, it will. But yeah, fuck it if you like it, go check it out. - This motherfucker's cool. He got to actually co-host with us one day. - 100%. - We got to find a fire guest for him to co-host with us. - Maybe we'll have Emma Kenny on from Seamus and we'll have Ethan co-host with us and we'll. - And you come in, I'll fucking come in with like. We'll do a skit with him. We should do. - Yeah, yeah, yeah. - It's like Channel 5. - Yeah, we'll grill her, we'll grill her. - All right, Mike, give us one. - Listen, man, the crew has it and you have it.
